    I am so pleased with Nutrisystem, after 3 weeks I am prompted to report to others that all of the food I have had taste very good and I have lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks. I am a 66 year old male that would like to weigh 170 but am content with 180. A few years ago I lost 30 pounds to get to 175 using a no carb diet but it was boring (I like bread, pasta, and desert). The weight came back initially from traveling - 5 pounds from a cruise or other vacation added up.

    I love Nutrisystem and like the food. I like being able to order the things I like and avoid those that I don't. The meals are super simple and fast. Drinking the water is another key factor in my success even though it is hard to do sometimes. My first ordered I tried many different flavors and varieties to determine what I liked best and what I didn't like at all.

    There was only one breakfast bar I would not order again. I changed my second order and eliminated any of the breakfast or lunch bars and ordered more muffins and microwave meals. The only cheating I have done is with the Costco (Kirkland) protein bars and brownies that at 90 - 100 calories each. I love the chocolate shakes but I use more water so they are more like chocolate milk than a shake and are also good hot as in hot chocolate. I am not without a desire to eat more and more often but I do not have the craving hunger I had while eating 2500 + calories a day and doing just fine on about 1000 calories daily.

    I can't say enough of about Nutrisystem... I have been on it for 2 months faithfully.... I have lost 17 lbs. The food is like magic. I have tried several things nothing worked.... If I knew this worked as well as it does, I would have been on this earlier... It makes you want to keep going. I have 23 more pounds to go.

    I love the Nutrisystems Food because it works - the reason it works is because the food tastes great. Not all diet plans are the same, and this one is top notch. The tuna packets for lunch are great - when you're out for the day, just grab one with 2 slices of wheat bread and a plastic fork, put it into a baggie and off you go - when you're hungry, just make yourself a sandwich and you won't go off your plan. The bars are also great, just throw them into your purse. Out to dinner with friends? Get the salad, dressing on the side - having drinks? Have them put diet Sprite into your wine glass and bring along a bag of Nutrisystems popcorn in your purse - worked for me - lost 15 pounds in 6 weeks and tons of inches. Love this plan. I'm going to become an "a-la-carte" member now so I can always buy the foods when I want to at a 20% discount and free shipping.

    I ordered Nutrisystem thinking that it would help me. The Fast 5 promised that I would lose 5 pounds. I lost 1, and then gained 3 more. I started the 28 day meal plan the day after and followed everything exactly how I was supposed to. The packets and booklets were like my bible. That's how closely I followed this program. I understand that not every program is for everyone, but really? I gained 2 pounds.....I called to cancel my order. She told me I had to mail the food I didn't touch back to the address that she gave me. When she asked the reasoning behind why I wanted to return it, I told her it wasn't working. She sounded insensitive and rehearsed. You could tell she had no interest that $300 of mine was just thrown away.

    I asked about reimbursement and she told me I would get my money back for what I haven’t eaten yet. I looked back in the box and looked at the phone.....75% of the food was already eaten. So not only do I have to pay for shipping, but I have to pay for the Fast 5 which made me gain weight and I also have to pay for the month plan that made me gain weight as well. Nutrisystem is a scam...they will take your money without even looking back. I'm just very hurt.

    I ordered Nutrisystem Fast 5 with 28 days with the weekends off. Here are the following issues. My husband and I ordered at the same time on QVC. He got his within a week, mine took over 2 weeks and only because they shipped a new one. No one could answer where mine was other than it had been shipped, even though UPS said it hadn't been received. The advertising online, on the commercials and QVC are false. This does NOT include all the food you need. PERIOD. You must add vegetables at all meals and also proteins and carbs after the first week. They say that it is so easy and everything you need in it is included. LIES.

    Taste. While some of these foods were OK, most of them weren't. There is one dish called "White Bean Chicken Chili" that is SO SPICY, you can barely eat it. Please take this as an important comment, we are from NEW MEXICO! Green Chili is one of our favorite things. If you eat this, you will probably be sick. PIZZA. I hope you can deal with pizza, because that is 3/4 of the dinner options. Not good pizza or a big pizza, a diet pizza smaller than my 11 year old's hand that doesn't even need to be frozen or refrigerated.

    ALLERGIES- I have many allergies. One being sunflower seeds and oil. DO NOT ORDER if you are allergic, these are in EVERYTHING and it wasn't advertised or listed! Portions, my husband passed out yesterday following the diet. The portions are so tiny, I believe it is dangerous. During the Fast Five you are on a 1,000 calorie diet. Of course you're going to lose weight.

    In closing, if you are going to try Nutrisystem, order it from QVC. I have read a lot about them holding you hostage for 3 months or refusing to give you your money back. We had issues right away and called QVC and they gave us our money back no questions asked. No issues what so ever. So that is nice. If you want to lose weight, you can do it without spending all that money on Nutrisystem. Just go to the grocery store, buy a lot of veggies, buy the toddler size portions of anything and you are set.

    I am 47 years old and I am 30 pounds overweight. I've tried everything to lose weight only to end up gaining weight. I was sick for 3 weeks, barely eating anything & gained 5 pounds. I was seriously at my lowest point..becoming more depressed & more obsessed with losing. I worked out 2 hours/day for 4 days/week, cut out all bread, sweets and potatoes... I gained another pound. More depressed!! I saw Marie on a commercial and wanted to try Nutrisystem but didn't think I could afford to do it. I read reviews about the products & found out I could buy a starter plan at Walmart.. so I bought the 5 day plan a few days ago.

    Initially, I was skeptical about the food quality & that I would actually stick to the plan. I was surprised when I opened the box to find muffins, roast beef and chocolate bars... So I was even more skeptical that I would lose any weight on this diet. The first day was an eye opening experience...as the portions were small but I basically had to eat every 2-3 hours if I was to fit in all these snacks. I couldn't eat the lasagna bc I don't like mushrooms & it's chock full so I ate veggies instead. I can't drink 8 glasses of water yet (I'm only up to 3 bottled waters/day). But other than that the food has been great and I have stuck to the plan, eating everything it says to.

    Day 3, I woke up and against my better judgement I weighed myself. OMG!!! I lost 5.2 pounds in 2 days!! You have no idea what this did for me!!! I am eating more often than I ever have and I'm losing weight! I thought it may be water loss but I haven't drank that much and my medication has a diuretic in it so I should never have water weight gain. Anyway, THANK YOU, THANK YOU NUTRISYSTEM!! I'll send an update as I see results.

    Updated on 03/02/2015: Follow up: After 5 days on Nutrisystem 5 day plan that I bought at Walmart I weighed and I lost 6.4 pounds. Among other things, I am surprised at how easy it is to stick to and how I look forward to eating (most of) the foods. I bought the shakes to help with days I'm on the road & I also save my meal bars for road days. I'm presently on my 2nd 5-day meal plan and doing great. When I got stuck away from home one day I had a subway chopped salad with spinach, veggies, & fat free dressing. I'm hoping this doesn't mess me up too much.

    I haven't had any cravings even when visiting mom & everyone eating home cooked dinner & birthday cake. I was a rock… eating my Nutrisystem chicken noodle soup and raw veggies. I wasn't even tempted!! I still can't drink 8 glasses of water/day but I'm trying! The double chocolate muffins are great (I bought an extra box of them at walmart) as are the Flatbread pizzas and the chicken alfredo. I love the bagels, the loaded bake potato and the Chicken pot pie.

    This is way more food than I used to eat and eating every 2-3 hrs is difficult sometimes but it keeps me from craving anything or getting hungry so that I end up overeating. I'm feeling thinner this week. I will send another review after I lose 10 pounds total. My goal is 30. Thanks Nutrisystem and the ones responsible (marketing) for selling the 5 day plan at Walmart.

    I devised, with the salesman, a special-purpose program calling for six food sessions a day (Nutrisystems' recommendation) for 35 days. I therefore expected 210 food items. I received only 140. When I phoned to request the other 70, I was told (after a very long wait) that they would only give me 20 more. Also, their food isn't that good, and you can do better on your own. Buy what you like in the store, parcel it out so that when you eat you'll get about 200 calories, and plan to eat six times a day. You'll save lots of money and eat much better.

    I was willing to try nutrisystem for first time when I saw a 40% price. I chose the men's select which showed a retail price of 449.99, but the 40% would not come off. After chatting several times and making phone calls, not once did I receive the same price retail or discount from different individuals. 40% off 449.99 should be around 270 and they seemed to add 60-100 dollars to that. Nutrisytem should honor the retail price shown on the website and apply discounts to that.

    I signed up for Nutrisystem and got special pricing due to a promotion they were doing. The customer service rep that I spoke with over the phone to sign up was pleasant and kind. I got my food and started right away. I was surprised that much of the pre-made food wasn't frozen, it was meatballs in a bag. I stuck with it for a week but the food didn't agree with me. I had stomach aches and pains and noise and I couldn't continue. I immediately switched to another program (not prepackaged, all natural, grass-fed, no-grain diet) and I feel great now. I just don't think my body could handle all the preservatives. I called in to cancel and was charged a fee of $103 to cancel - the fine print says I need to order two months of food. Tricky.

    I didn't like the sodium content of the meals and the preservatives as well as the taste of the food so I called within my 2-week money back offer, they sent me a label and the box was picked up. I did not get a refund and got more charges to my credit card. I was only to pay 19.99 not the full amount of 314.98 and an extra 102.10 which I will dispute with my credit card company. It was difficult for me to eat food with the high salt and chemical content after only eating organic for years. I would like the refund as promised.

    I have done the Nutrisystem program several times over many years. The program and the food has gotten progressively better. It has worked for me each time. I only have one complaint. When I am done with the program (or even if I just wanted to quit) I find it extremely irritating that I cannot just go into my account and cancel the service. I do not want to be on hold from five to ten minutes and then have to go through the "routine" with the customer service rep just to say "I am cancelling". And, there is clearly no reason why you cannot make that process just as painless as the rest. Step into the new century. If I cannot do it online...I do not want to do it at all!

    I was so happy to see Walmart and Harris Teeter carry the 5 day Nutrisystem kick start plan. HT was $3 more than Walmart. I would have liked to continue with the plan, however, one cannot buy a one month plan. If you get into the auto renew and don't renew, you lose almost $300. Some folks don't need to lose more than 10-15 pounds and with exercise it can be accomplished quickly. It would be nice to be able to buy a 14 day plan or a 30 day plan, especially after the new year or having a baby. I agree with another reviewer that when you call, the folks don't seem to have answers, they just try to sell more products. Please continue to have your products in Walmart!!

    I tried Nutrisystem's Diabetic plan. It is laden with carbohydrates and not compatible with my condition. I paid in advance for one month and accepted the products. In the first month I did lose five pounds but my doctor adjusted my insulin and I gained 3 more back. I don't blame Nutrisystem for that part. I called to cancel future shipments. I was told I could delay my next order up to 60 days but didn't want a future order hanging over my head and to cancel my account. Then the agent told me I had to pay them $109 for cancelling my order. I refused and will charge back my credit card if this shows up. It's a scam to keep you from cancelling your account. This soured me on the entire company. So much for Marie Osmond as a spokeswoman, eh?

    I was told I'd lose 5+ lbs in the first week with the shakes, guaranteed. Within two days I experienced extremely bad indigestion. Thought maybe it was nerves. On the third day I couldn't continue the shakes as I was in so much pain, especially the chocolate. I proceeded with the other food, hoping it was only the shakes that disagreed with me. I realized any chance of getting any refund from the so called 'Guarantee' was out of the question, but I did express my problem to a representative on the phone. As I continued with the diet I continued to experience indigestion, vomiting, burping up food, burning of my stomach and esophagus - however, not as intensely as when I was ingesting the shakes. Long story short, I ended up seeing my internist, had an upper endoscopy performed and numerous blood tests done.

    Initially my internist feared I was having a heart attack. I received a clean bill of health. I thought it may have been stress, but decided to stop the diet, remembering back how I felt when I drank the shakes. Sure enough, it all stopped once I stopped the diet. I had also expressed my problems again to a phone representative with Nutrisystems - they had no remedy. To top all this off, after three months of cutting big checks to Nutrisystems, I didn't lose more than about 2 lbs. I was extremely unhappy and borderline angry. I used Jenny Craig in the past and found it to be wonderful, and lost the weight I intended to lose, but at that time it was difficult as I don't live near a distribution center and had to drive an hour to get the food. Because of that I went to Nutrisystems.

    Someone needs to explain what is in that food. I looked at the labels and found nothing in the ingredients that might lead to what made me sick. I have a very strong system, can eat almost anything, and like almost everything. NOT NUTRISYSTEM FOOD or should I say, it doesn't like me. I've tried desperately to find other reviews about Nutrisystem that indicate the same problems I had, but have found none.

    A few years ago, I signed up for Nutrisystem after my doctor told me I needed to lose 100+ pounds. Although I was able to lose some weight, I was never able to keep it off. I gained it all back plus extra poundage. But the worse part was that the program forced me to lose too much weight too fast -- and with heavy people like me that can lead to an imbalance in the digestive system that leads to gallstones being form. That's exactly what happened to me. Only one gallstone had formed. But it caused me horrible pain and almost proved to be a deadly one.

    When the doctors realized what my problem was, they rushed me into emergency surgery. During this surgery my gall bladder had decomposed from the gallstone so bad it actually fell apart in their hands. Had it ruptured while inside me -- which I was told it came close to -- the doctors said I would have died. They also told me they believed it was the Nutrisystem diet that caused all this. So I recommend dieters find a safer program than Nutrisystem. These people did not fully understand all that is involved with weight loss and it literally almost cost me my life. Instead, I have an 8-inch surgical scar across my stomach to remind me of what I went through.

    I've only just started with Nutrisystem and I must say, there are things they don't tell you. Like...I've spent a lot of time in the bathroom! Every hour on the hour peeing. LOL, just saying..I also find the soups delicious, however, the frozen foods are not to my liking. There are sloppy joes, and pizza, pizza, pizza, flat bread, pizza, and pizza. I don't eat pizza all the time. I was a bit surprised that popcorn is a dessert, I'd rather have that as a snack. Breakfast is ok, but I don't like cereal so that's an issue.     I ordered a promotional 5 pounds in 5 days plan not realizing I was automatically enrolled in the auto-delivery (pay) system that I am not able to dis-enroll from, held hostage.     I did the Nutrisystems diet about 15 years ago, although it was not the best the service was OK. I recently signed up again and what a change. I gave them the extra money to specialize my order and still received a lot of items that I cannot eat. After calling them to report their error the answer was, "Did we send you more than 12-15 things you did not order?" My answer back was, "Yes, it was 17 things I never ordered." And I was told, "Sorry, that means you will have to pay to ship them back at your cost and then we will send replacements." It cost me $12+ to ship back the items that I did not order and believe it or not I still received things in my reordered that I did not want. I guess they are OK with messing up 12-15 orders which most businesses would be mortified to do...but not Nutrisystems.

    My other big complaint is that their website is so unstable that 2 times out of 5 that I try to access, it is down. Note that this is the way you track what you have eaten in a day along with managing your next food order. Tonight I called their customer service number and the rep agreed that there were problems with their website and it should be up in a few minutes. I will never blame the rep... She is not the person who built and/or maintains the website. But come on...at least she should be informed that the website is down and will be down for at this point 1.5 hours and it could be more.

    I would totally dump Nutrisystems but they rope you into a 2 month deal at over $300/month and if you cancel there is a penalty. The concept of the diet is not hateful, it is portioned controlled and about 1/3 of their food is decent but they are taking advantage of their customers. Frankly I am done with them due to their miserable customer service. Again I am not talking about their reps but their corporate policies. Shame on you Nutrisystems for taking advantage of people who are just trying to better themselves, but who are also prone to being subservient. You have found your niche in our overweight society and you are abusing it. I wish all of your customers the best with their weight loss and hope they will find a way to do it and not be taken advantage of by Nutrisystems.

    I have been on Nutrisystem for 2.5 weeks. I have lost 10 pounds... nothing I have tried has been as successful as this. The food is fine to good. All the breakfast items are great... lunch and dinner frozen entrees are quite good. Don't love the add water dried lunch items but the shelf stored lunch items are excellent. This is something I can do easily with my work schedule. What I have already learned is that my own portions were way too big. Goal is 50 lbs and I think I can accomplish it with this program.

    I had written a previous negative review about my experience in starting the Nutrisystem diet which I had to stop due to health reasons and when I called to do this I was told that not only would I not be getting any money back (with the the guarantee time frame) but that I would have to pay for canceling my next recurring order which had never been explained to me. I was told I could return a portion (non-frozen) back if I paid the shipping for a refund.

    Since then Nutrisystem has totally refunded my entire order including not charging me the cancellation fee for the next order. And... they even offered to have FED EX come to my home to pick up the non-frozen portion. They did as they promised and I am grateful and since my complaint was published I think it only fair to publish the fact that Nutrisystem has now done the right thing!

    I ordered the Nutrisystem program and started it 3 days ago. However, I suffer from diverticulosis and therefore eat a lot of fiber... Knew this of course prior to starting diet. This diet seemed to offer enough for the time I would need to be on it. However, in the first 3 days, I was bloated, had irregularity issues and gas. These things are not good for my condition. So I decided not to re-order. When I called to stop the next order and explained why, I was told there would be a charge of over $100 because I was on a recurring order plan... This was not ever explained to me. I was told that I could send the non-frozen food that I still have back for some type of refund. I had no choice but to accept this. I did ask to speak to a counselor to see what "they" thought might be causing my problems and I was told that since I just cancelled the plan, I could not be transferred!!

    The first week of this particular program included 2 shakes a day and I was specifically interested in whether they might be the culprit. I'm sure others have had these same problems. I find that if you are ordering and everything is fine, the customer service is good. In cancelling, I found the representative very rude. Had she transferred me to a "counselor", it may have been somehow explained to me why I was having the problem and I may have ended up staying on the program longer. I am dissatisfied with Nutrisystem!

    I can see the system working, but it was too boring. The food is not what I would normally eat. I do not eat bread or any dough with yeast, I do not like popcorn or cheesy puffs, I do not eat much chocolate, and most things are with chocolate. I do not like industrial tomato sauces, I only eat home made tomato sauce. So, it was a bit of a disappointment. I guess if you are used to eat processed food it would help. Does not work for me.

    Tried the "special" lose 5 pounds in 5 days to a T and did not lose one lb. After 23 days, they sent out another box of their bad tasting "heavy carb" driven so-called food. Called to say your products does not work and to opt out. Well there is an $85 fee to opt out. Their ad claims money back guarantee "within 14 days" only, so you need to not give them any benefit of the doubt and call them within 14 days or they will charge you more for what you already paid for a month ago, saying it was a promotional price that you lose if you cancel. I never agreed to that or did they tell you about that little fine print issue. Don't waste your money. I doubt you won't lose any weight and you will regret the wasted time trying their product. Anyone who has had success and given them a good rating has probably been paid by them to write a review. LISTEN TO ME. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT SIGN UP!

    I like the way everything is separated by meals. My biggest disappointment was that there were so many of the "good" items out of stock, the replacements were duplicated and not as much variety. For example, I found only one bag of popcorn for snacks. I had too many cheese puffs, pretzels, etc. For dinners, I only had one of the really good things but ended up with 5 pizzas.     I struggled with the food choices available to Canadian customers (no frozen meals, etc). Because I do not crave sugar or pasta, I struggled with the sweet, pasta meals/snacks/desserts. I gave the pound cakes, cookies & snack bars to my kids. I would prefer to see less carbs & sweets (the pastas, cookies, cake, bars, pizza, etc) and instead see more brown Rice.

    It would be nice to see more protein options: protein shakes (with added multivitamin/minerals), spicy tuna packs, teriyaki chicken. Some of your program's protein dishes had 2-3 thumbnail sized pieces of meat and the rest was sauce, pasta or rice. I would prefer calories come from protein versus the sweet sauce & carbs.

    The program did teach me portion size and I lost 15 lbs in one month (I skipped the sweets & pastas and therefore did not consume the total calories of my plan). Would use again if needing to lose weight quickly.

    AVOID THIS SCAM. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE... A RIP OFF. I joined Nutri System and it did not work for me. I DID NOT LIKE most of the pre-packaged food which was ridiculously expensive so it sat in my pantry. Customer service was HORRIBLE. I tried to unsubscribe and that was going to cost me a minimum of $149. After spending a ridiculous $399, I had to spend another $149.

    I asked customer service to allow me to pick the items and to please not leave packages in my driveway without requiring a signature. I am military and travel and deploy. NUTRI SYSTEM COULD NEVER GET IT RIGHT! They could not do the minimum ethical compromise. Multiple times they had packages of food delivered to sit in my drive way in FLORIDA for weeks in the heat and bugs while I was away. Although I was on record with customer service as requiring a signature for delivery, they ignored it and claimed that they had no control over the delivery service which THEY select to use.

    EXAMPLE of my latest delivery: $149 for 28 snacks worth approximately 50 cents - 95 cents each PLUS 28 SO CALLED "MEALS" which include items such fudge graham bar, chocolate caramel bar, peanut butter bar, etc. LESS THAN $50 WORTH OF food items for the BIG PRICE TAG OF $149. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROGRAM. YOU are SMARTER than falling for this SCAM. Shop for yourself and you will SAVE MONEY and pick items you like!! I WILL BE HAPPY TO BE PART OF A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST NUTRI SYSTEM.

I especially like to track the number of glasses of water because I need to drink more than 8 glasses per day because of a kidney stone problem.     This is just an FYI for those that are considering ordering the frozen food from NS. I recently received my latest order of frozen foods from NS. Once again, they have sent me trash. All the waffles, the ice cream bars and multiple other frozen items are pulverized. Every time I've order frozen from them it has arrived this way. When I called them, the person stated it was the fault of the shipping company (in this case Fed Ex). When I remarked that the outer packaging has zero damage, she stated it was, "because when the food is frozen and the package is dropped, things break". Well maybe, but since they're approximately 0 for 5 with the shipments of frozen, I cancelled any future orders. I can find equivalent products at Wal-Mart cheaper and I'll know if it's damaged before I buy it. They did however, offer me $25 off my next order but since there isn't going to be a next order, it's a moot point. And apparently I'm not the only one complaining about this. You would think they would have found a solution to this problem by now. Oh well. Good luck with your orders.

    I'm a 65 year old man retired on disability. Many of the medications I take daily (22 pills) have "Weight Gain" as a side effect. I had ballooned to a whopping 270 lbs.     I received my first shipment today and was so excited! I was planning to get started tomorrow. However, my shipment was missing the fast 5 which is needed for the first week. Also missing were the instructions and meal plans and food tracker. So basically I have to wait to start now. I called customer service, and the representative apologized, but then told me it will be about a week until it arrives. So because they messed up my order, I am inconvenienced and have to postpone my start date a week or so. Not happy at all. I would have at least thought they would offer some sort of compensation for their error...but that was not the case. So far I am not impressed with this program/company.

    I ordered for me and my wife. About $750.00 worth of food. My wife and I are not using the program like we thought we would, and decided not to continue and waste the money and place another order, so I called to cancel our account and was told that there would be a penalty for canceling before receiving the second order ($197.00) which must have been overlooked when placing the order, or we would have NEVER have placed the order in the first place. This is a very poor way of doing business on your part. If you want to recoup your shipping cost for the discount of the program then that would be fine. Which by the way is only $19.95, but to charge nearly $200.00 just to leave the program is just plain theft.

    We have never opened my wife's package and we are in the process of sending that back for a full refund. I will do my best to tell everyone that I know what a rip off this is. The food by the way is good, and we are keeping my order, because we opened it and we will finish it. I believe the program will work for some people, and I believe that had we used the program as intended, we probably would have had some benefit from the program, but to penalize us $200.00 to leave your program for us not wanting to use your product right now, is just wrong. I know that you will probably not do anything with this, but I wrote this anyway. If you would like to discuss this further, I would be more than happy to talk to someone about this, but I am guessing that you won't.

When they started creeping back 1 1/2 years later, I wanted to order just a few things..... shakes, lunch replacement bars. However, I refuse to pay shipping fees.     On September 3, 2014, I bit into a peanut butter crunch bar by Nutrisystem. There was a foreign object in the bar that punctured my tongue and broke two of my molars. I spit out whatever the object was because I was in pain and was not thinking about legal ramifications or evidence. I immediately contacted Nutrisystem. I was assured that I would be taken care of and felt comfortable that they would do so. They told me the proper protocol to do. So I went to a dentist, sent them the bill to repair the two broken teeth, and let them know exactly what happened. As it turned out, the insurance company denied my claim, even though all that I had wanted was to be paid for the damages to my teeth. The insurance man said that because I had not retrieved the object, that Nutrisystem was not responsible for what had happened.

    I had been a faithful Nutrisystem customer for years. I believe that anyone with common sense would know that because I'm only wanting to be paid for the damages done to my teeth and not submitting some ridiculous overblown compensation, that I am honest and what happened to me. I will now forever suffer the effects of having my teeth gone. It saddens me that human beings really do not care about other human beings. This all has to do with money. I am an honest person and have no reason to lie or stretch the truth in this catastrophe that did bodily harm to me. In my anger, I told the insurance man that I should go public. In a very condescending tone, he told me that others had to had threatened the same thing. It made me wonder how many other people were victims of Nutrisystem.

    I placed my first order. The confirmation email stated I will receive my order in 4-10 days. So far it's been 10 days and my order has not even been shipped from the warehouse. I have called and talked to customer service twice. The first time was a Saturday and I was told by the customer service agent she was going to get ahold of her supervisor and have the order shipped that day. As of Monday, the order still hasn't shipped. I called again and was told the order would ship on Monday. Seems like the standard answer "Your order will ship today". 10 days to process an order is ridiculous. Especially when the food is pre made and all they have to do is put it in a box. I even paid for priority processing. I'd hate to see how long it would take if I didn't pay the priority processing. As for the second representative telling me it was taking so long due to the holiday, I placed my order on the 12 of December. I understand it's holiday season but no holidays fell between this time. If my order doesn't ship today, I will cancel and never consider Nutrisystem again.

    I was on Nutrisystem for about six months and it worked quite well. But I went through a little bit of a financial hardship And had to cancel for a short amount of time until I could get back on my feet...and when I called to get restarted on the program the prices had jumped exponentially. I was very promptly told that they COULD NOT put me back on the plan that I was just on a couple of months earlier! I've called several times on this issue and rather being told that they could possibly help me I'm always told what they CAN NOT DO!!! I would love to be able to come back.     I was skeptical at first. I figured what could I lose if I try it. Actually it is cheaper to buy Nutrisystem than to go grocery shopping.     Eighteen months ago I weighed 252 pounds with adult onset diabetes (type II), high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. Heeding doctor's advice, I began a daily walking regimen. Within a few months, I noticed a small weight loss and within a year I was down to 215 pounds. That became my "wall". I stopped losing weight. Walking would not by itself, get me to where I needed to be. I recognized a need to try other strategies. My doctor suggested a diet. I considered several patented plans and decided that Nutrisystem seemed to me to be the most viable for my situation.

    I enrolled, ordered my plan, and began my diet. It was difficult in the beginning. The food was not what I was used to, the portions were smaller than my usual meals, I did not experience the feeling of "fullness" that had become my hallmark expectation following every meal, and, I admit, I cheated. But, I still lost weight--seven pounds the first week. I would not get my money back! That was encouraging and sold me on the plan. I quickly dropped below 200 pounds and three months later I was at 170. I used four shipments of Nutrisystem products.

    Incidentally, during the months that I faithfully adhered to the plan, my commercial grocery bill virtually disappeared and I actually saved money on my food bill. Which was good, since I had to buy a lot of new clothes. I still plan to used plan products even though I have disenrolled. I will order breakfasts and some dinner entrees ala carte since I believe those will help me maintain my current weight. My diabetes has resolved as well as my cholesterol problems. I no longer need medications. My doctor has pronounced me to be in good health. I credit Nutrisystem and exercise for that.

    I previously tried Nutrisystem since my company offered a "discount" but not really. I decided I was spending too much money for the system and then all the stuff on the shopping list besides the $350.00+ already spent on the membership for a month. I called to cancel and I was told I would have to pay an extra $100.00+ because I was in the auto-enroll. Awesome little hidden feature about that. Anyway...I wrote a negative review and the first positive thing from nutrisystem was the response on here, quick and helpful. I was within 30 days send back the stuff for full refund. This made me change my mind completely... They were helpful, did not dismiss me for money like the phone operator. After a year I decided I would do more research, choose my meals and try again because of the ending service....WRONG.

    Round 2...I customized (thinking it would be better), ordered, received, and tried.... I'm not looking for a full refund or anything, I just wanted to cancel my membership and say thanks. I call up and BAM you will have to be charged another $100+ to cancel because you were in auto enroll. Not helpful at all with the situation at all. Anyway I'll take the blame but I will also share the word of how horrible phone customer service is...unless you tell them you're within 30 days they will cancel and charge you. I will spread the word I DO NOT recommend nutrisystem for anyone. Go to the grocery store and buy TV dinners, fruits, and vegetables I just saved you $200. Portion sized TV dinner + protein shakes + fruits and vegetables. I don't blame anyone but myself but after two bad experiences I'm completely done with nutrisystem.

    Early this year, I decided to try Nutrisystem for weight loss. I ordered the foods which had the highest customer reviews on the Nutrisystem site, and received the food quickly. But I was surprised to learn that there was little to no 'nutrition' in the food, despite the name. Worse, the food was so bad I gave up the diet after a week. It's so bad I couldn't even finish the meals, and even my mother, who tried some of my food, (but is not on a diet) couldn't bear it. The texture, smell, and taste was awful. And worse, even though I spent hundreds of dollars to order it, just because I am in California, they required me to buy another month of food, if I wanted a refund, despite the 14 day refund claim in the commercials. I just cancelled and lost the money. And forget their claim of 'no questions asked' if you cancel, because the person on the food kept trying to pester me to try the frozen meal plan instead of cancelling, and kept asking why I wanted to cancel. Total waste.

    Great concept because you do learn about portion control.

    The first month I tried a combo of the prepackaged and frozen meals. The frozen meals were fine, the prepackaged not so much. Some prepackaged items I ordered were not sent, but replacements were sent. Note that the replacements were items I never would have chosen on my own, so that was a waste. The prepackaged food tasted of cardboard almost as if they were sitting in a warehouse too long. I ended up giving all of my prepackaged meals to a co-worker who felt they were a bit more edible than I did. The first month was about $325, most of which I gave away.

    The next month I upgraded to be able to choose all frozen meals. Again, they are fine, nothing special. They do make quick and easy meals, so that is a plus. Very easy to put in a lunchbox for work. I like that you can add fresh veggies, fruits and dairy products.

    I decided to not renew for a third month, and this is when the real headache began. I could not find an option online to discontinue. I called Customer Service and spoke with a woman named Nicole. She was nice enough and I realize just doing her job, but I had to repeat six times that I wanted to cancel. When asked why I gave my reasons, and she replied that I gained weight eating tasty food, I can't expect to continue eating tasty food and lose weight. Really?!?! I practically had to beg her to cancel my account. I understand that she was probably reading from a script, but enough is enough. When I had to verbally count to her the times I was respectfully attempting to cancel, she would just keep trying to sell, sell, sell.

    The conversation that took place "I would like to cancel as I do not like the food, most of it is horrible"...."I am sorry ma'am, did you like the shakes?     A couple of things. Overall I was very happy with the program. Positives: It helped me understand that I could eat a LOT less food and still be happy. It helped me understand that some foods were not as healthy as I thought even though they appeared to be healthy. It kept me focused and on track. It wasn't complicated. Negatives: Some foods tasted bad. It was very hard to understand what else I could eat in addition to the plan meals. So I just would eat a plan breakfast and low-fat yogurt for breakfast, a banana for a snack, a plan meal and a salad for lunch, a plan dessert for a snack, a plan meal and a veggie or salad for dinner and a plan dessert. That was it. I could not understand if I could add more things or how I might substitute. I guess it was effective, because I met my goal quickly. Too many communications from Nutrisystem. That's about it. Overall, a pleasant, affordable program that worked. One final note. My wife is gluten allergic and she would have loved if you offered a program for her. It's very hard for her to find prepared foods to eat and as a result, hard to manage her meals. You could probably pick up a lot of customers if you had a gluten-free program.

    I wanted to say I was very happy with the results I got through Nutrisystem, I just got tired having the same food for months. I really think adding new items more often would help. I can imagine a lot of people feel this way because when you would release a new item it was sold out for the next few months. I will continue the diet until I run out of food. I expect to lose about six more lbs. 24 lbs lost in three months is not too shabby for an old timer. My advice to others is to try Nutrisystem.     This was bought for me by my husband. There are a number of issues that came up once the order was received.

    1-The food doesn't require refrigeration and it is awful. I got sick on 4 of the first two weeks of dinners. I had to throw out 2 others as they were not edible.
    2-The rep that sold me the package I made sure to explain to him I want the next shipment to come out after the 15th of the month. He assured me that it will. Original order date was 17th of the month. On the following month, i noticed my account was hit was hit on the 5th for the next shipment. I had to battle with the CS to get this money refunded and the order cancelled.
    3-I was not able to eat 2/3 of the month of dinners. The breakfasts were ok so when I called the CS all i heard was, well for an upgrade, you can pick your own food. Unfortunately, I had to eat or attempt to eat this stuff to be able to even feel I could pick.
    4-After not losing anything, but following it to the letter. Even documenting everything, I called and the CS was very short and very condescending. Saying "why didn't you call earlier?" or "go and rate the foods so we know."
    5-The commercials for Nutrisystem are very misleading. The frozen foods NEVER get shipped unless you upgrade and pay a fortune.

    6-Why cannot the frozen dinners be made available for the normal program?

    I asked for a refund, but was told I was outside the first 2 weeks and not only would I not get a refund, but they were going to charge me an additional $65 bucks to cancel. They do NOTHING to work with the people that are truly trying, they just want the high profile people to endorse it and hope for volume of subscribers instead of quality, they go for quantity. Would love to hear how Nutrisystem responds to this.

    I ordered my 1st month of the diabetic diet for $360.00. After 3 weeks, I decided it was not going to work for me. It did help with my blood sugar but I gained 3 pounds. In addition, my overall food budget was not reduced to partially compensate. I called to cancel and was told it would cost an additional $140.00 to cancel in less than 2 months because I was on the auto delivery plan. I was never told of this penalty or I would not have placed an order in the first place. I also was not told I was on "auto delivery". Finally, they agreed not to charge $140.00 cancellation fee to my card but the agent was unpleasant. If you call them, get all the proper info from the representative since they don't tell you the terms and conditions up front.

    Buyers beware! Absolutely appalling business ethics, unscrupulous business practices and zero customer satisfaction! My disappointment begins with zero weight loss after following the program religiously. My husband called to cancel on the thirteenth (13) day, for their weight loss or money back guarantee. The customer service rep would not speak to him, so I called back. After being on hold for over twenty minutes, I gave up and called back the next day. I spoke to a representative and asked to cancel the plan as I had not lost any weight and was feeling nauseous. She transferred me to a weight loss counselor who advised to add more protein to my diet and call back in two days.

    When I called back on the second day to cancel, the CS rep again went through the same script, only this time I needed to take delivery of at least another month worth of food. I told her I did not want to as I was feeling unwell and had not lost weight. Nicole who stated our conversation may be recorded which now allowed me to record under Federal Law just kept talking over me and tried to push, and push ordering more food and giving me a bigger discount saying I didn't give the program a chance, I wasn't doing it right until I had to state in a stern voice, "Listen to me, I want this order cancelled and monies returned." It was then that I was informed with a distinct attitude, NO I cannot return and that I was not eligible for the money back guarantee as it was past the fourteen (14) days!

    Had I been allowed to cancel, when I first called I would have been ok. Makes you wonder if this was done on purpose. Additionally I received my order on Sept 12th at 5:30pm. This counts as one (1) day!! I really do not appreciate being demeaned, spoken down to and talked over. When I, the consumer was trying to cancel an order. Absolutely disgraceful! Hopefully Nutrisystem will obtain Nicole's recording and use this for training purposes, on how NOT to treat a customer.

I called customer service and she read the address she had on file for me. Completely wrong. There was no number on the street name and the city and zip code were wrong. After all was said and done, I received my first shipment today, when I should have already been in my second week. To NS's credit, they are sending me a free week of food, for my inconvenience. In the future, I hope they have this problem corrected because I have at least one more shipment coming. All things considered, I'm anxious to get started, I do know the plan works.

    I have used Nutrisystem in the past as my record will clearly show and was very pleased with it. Unfortunately I gained 20 pounds and thought to use them again. However, this go around their food was stale. I simply can't get over the muffins and the bars being hard as well as the desserts. After multiple attempts even warming them up it was bad. I simply didn't care to eat anything else that was there and simply saw it as my loss. Unfortunately, I can't cancel without pay a $100 fee to cancel.     My wife and I were on NS for quite a while until I needed some surgery done. When the operation healed and I was satisfied I could go back on the program we contacted NS and placed an order. First of all, the website is terrible. Very complicated. Also, the website doesn't give any discounts. We called and got a very pleasant and competent lady on the phone that walked my wife through her order. I was determined to make the website work and muddled through ordering. I checked the order when I was finished and was satisfied that it was correct. A few days went by and the order came. Not even close. Completely screwed up. The food shipped was stuff that I would never have ordered. We called immediately and was told that a shipping label would be emailed to return the products and that it would be taking of my credit card bill. The frozen arrived a day later and of course it was screwed up as well. We were told that it could not be returned and there would not be a charge for it.

    Fast forward to yesterday. We received an email saying that our order was going to be automatically shipped today. My wife called to see what was going to be shipped and discovered that our credit card had been billed $190 for the frozen food that was shipped incorrectly. After an hour and a half of going back and forth with their so called customer service we finally got the charges removed. We cancelled. We were then told that there would be a charge of $110 to cancel. We told the agent that it would be worth it to get away from a company so poorly run. I will cost this company way more than the $110. Be very careful when dealing with them. I do not recommend this company at all.

    I can't thank you enough for how your company helped me take off 25 pounds in less than 2 months. Being mid-50's, post-menopausal, with the typical inner tube around my middle, having to wear supportive underwear that goes up to my chin, I was not happy.     I have been with the NS program since 2011. I love this program and have been a walking commercial for them since losing 50+ pounds. The counselor told me when I hit my goal to not cancel my membership but to get an occasional shipment to help me control my weight. This is what I did for several years. March 2014, I called NS to order a shipment and learned my program had been cancelled without my knowledge. They were very sorry but the previous pricing I had could not be honored.     Over 3 months ago, I was with a friend who successfully lost significant weight with Nutrisystem. I was very unhappy with my current weight and felt that this system was worth a commitment. I also started an exercise program consisting of walking either on a treadmill or outside for an hour at least 5 days a week. I have lost 37 pounds. I went from 194 to 157.

    It was receiving my first order, unpacking it and discovering what I had to eat. I first laughed at the size of the meals, as they appear small in comparison to the portion sizes that I was used to. In addition to the Nutrisystem I included vegetables into my diet daily. I found the meals very tasty. There was only a couple of items that I did not choose to reorder. I found that the snacks along with water satiated cravings that I might have had during the day.

    I feel the most valuable learning experience that I gained and will continue to use in my life is food awareness and portion control. Nutrisystem provides a balanced diet of protein, fiber, fat, carbohydrates and salt. I took the time to learn about how much my body needs and how much is good/bad. I am off the system now, but continue to read labels on food products before I decide to buy them. I now also include vegetables in my diet daily. With regards to portion size. I always knew that l ate large portions of food and with little regard. I am now much more aware of my portion control. My wife and I dine out frequently. Nutrisystem has raised my awareness as to the potential unseen calories that can be consumed during a night out. We order more carefully from the menu. If we decide to order something that has a lot of calories, we now order one dish and a salad and split it.

    It is the inclination with most people to view my comments as common sense. Basically, they are. The problem is that you create a lifestyle based around overeating or eating high calorie foods, common sense is difficult to commit to. Nutrisystem gave me an easy, convenient way to begin healthy eating. Once I began to see results, my motivation and commitment grew. I was never able to accomplish this on my own. I had been overweight for 20 years. With my achievements I now plan on changing my lifestyle so that I do not put the weight back on.

    I found the program to be cost effective. It is less expensive than many others that I looked at (example: Bistro MD). I found the program to be very convenient. When I travel, I carry my meals with me. It really took a significant obstacle of dieting out of the picture, no meal planning. I am a pharmacist and have very little confidence in over the counter diet aids. I had tried many, without success. I know that substituting protein shakes for meals, leads to weight loss, but with the risk of missing needed nutrients. I am sure that other diet programs work both with safety and efficiently, I just found that this system worked quite well for me. Part of the success psychologically is that once you shell out the bucks for the first month, well you might as well use it.

    I purchased the 5 day weight loss kit from Walmart which I was super excited about! I completed my first day and decided to set up the advertised online VIP access. When I accessed online it told me I did not have VIP access and that I needed to call a counselor to give me access.     I started Nutrisystem because I needed to lose weight. I wasn't more than about 25 lb too heavy (which I lost via Nutrisystem), but I originally thought that it either wasn't going to work, or I'd be starving.     Really liked the program and it worked well for me. My husband did the program with me so that made it a lot easier to manage - I didn't have to eat my food and cook something else for him. I've been on the program for about 7 weeks and have lost 16 lbs. I still have about 10 days left on the program so hopefully will reach the 20 lb. weight-loss goal I set. It seems like portion control and eating smaller amounts more often is the main thing I learned from the NutriSystem Program. I feel I can stick with this eating routine long-term. I also like the fact that I can eat as many non-starchy vegetables as I want to keep me satisfied and not hungry.

    I found Nutrisystem extremely easy to follow and satisfying and I reached my goal with what seemed like little effort. I put a hold on my order for two months and after two months, still had plenty of food left over from my last order. I have, therefore, cancelled any further shipments and, hopefully, will be able to continue maintaining my current weight. If I start to slip, I will definitely be back in touch.

    As a busy person, I don't take the time to pay attention to portion control. Nutrisystem took care of that for me and kept me from eating too much at a meal. The only problem was that I did not want the snack/deserts, yet had no choice to shut that off (I have been letting my kids eat them). However, I lost 30 lbs in right at 3 months.

    I did lose the weight I needed to lose. The food was good, easy to prepare and there was so much! I didn't really have a serious weight problem. I just wanted to lose 10 pounds. I'm ready to try eating food on my own again so on August 12th, 2014 I canceled any further shipments. If, in the future I need to lose a few pounds, I would definitely consider nutrisystem once again! All of you were so helpful!
