I told AVL's moving coordinator over the phone the type of stuff I wanted to be moved and he gave me a full space of the rent. It also went great with the consultant who helped us plan our move. Also, the crew were very personable and professional. They came in and walked through the home. We asked them all the questions that we had about the protection of the floors and our moving from one house to the another. The crew answered all of our questions and we felt very comfortable with them.

We received a phone call from A.V.L. customer service manager, Yesenia. She apologized and she worked with us to make things right with our move.

American Van Lines was top notch. Everything was right on the ball and kept me informed the whole time. The movers and the drivers for the trucks were very professional and very quick. They showed up with five guys to move the house and they wrapped everything up, brought it all downstairs and they had it done in two hours. And then when I got the delivery, my stuff went directly into storage. There was a driver and a helper, and they had the truck unloaded within 90 minutes. I don't have any complaints about them at all.

My overall experience with American Van Lines was good. The people that came were very nice and treated my stuff very well but the broker was not entirely honest.

The move went very well, and nothing was damaged. The mover stuck to the original move quote and there were no add-ons. The only glitch happened when they were 2 hours late for the delivery. This was because one of the movers never showed up, and they were stopped at the weigh-in for being overweight. The first was something totally out of their control (you can't really prevent a worker from showing up if he doesn't want to). The other was their fault, they estimated the weight wrong. I think they were fined, but they did not pass the penalty on to us. Some companies may have tried to do that. All-in-all, everyone was great to deal with. Polite, honest and careful with our belongings and house.

I had a very good experience with American Van Lines overall. I was in a big hurry so I didn't bother for a while when they delivered. I'd recommend them. They're very good.

I had a wonderful experience with American Van Lines when I moved into a townhouse. My husband looked them up and saw that they were pretty good. The crew was good, very professional, they got the work done and it was fast. The moving consultant and the moving coordinator were good as well.

I was very pleased with my move. The company was in communication with me the whole time. The van arrived when it was supposed to and the guys were respectful of all my belongings. The guys who came were very friendly and nice to me. My apartment is in a walk up apartment, and I'm in a new city where I don't know anyone. So I needed them to help me by doing the heavy lifting for me. They did a really great job and got everything done really quickly, especially for how many stairs were involved. The one downside was some of their comments made me feel guilty about living in the walk up. I know it's a tough job, and I understand them wishing there was an elevator, but I'm pretty sensitive about hiring people to do things for me. I felt that some of the complaining was a little unprofessional, even though it was done in a lighthearted way. But overall, I had a really positive moving experience and highly recommend this company.

I had a great experience with American Van Lines. They were professional, courteous, and personable. They notified us in advance of when they were coming and they were on time. They kept us updated and flexible. We brought everything that we had moved. Everything was awesome, that's why I have already recommended them to a friend of mine.

American Van Lines was six hours late and when they got to me, they were not exactly enthusiastic about completing the move. But they finally got around getting it done.

We had to move out of state, and my moving coordinator was very nice and professional. The crew was great as well.

I was initially worried about this move because the moving van arrived late and there was only two movers, however they finished by the end of the day. Upon arrival in Texas the move went really well.

Our experience with this moving company was excellent. Our selling agent recommended them and they did everything they said they would. The movers were very professional and considerate. We would recommend them to anyone who needs state to state moving.

The guys arrived early and worked till the job was done. They were very polite and handle our stuff with care. Would highly recommend to anyone who asks.

The crew that came for the move was very pleasant and they answered all my questions. They stacked everything neatly in the garage where we told them to put it. After, however, there were a couple of boo-boos on them—scratches and dents—but it’s probably because of the move. A couple of items were damaged but that’s fine, they’re tolerable. They also did the best on wrapping up the important items.

The crew were pleasant, helpful and moved things around as we needed them. My moving coordinator was able to answer all of my questions and provide a good rate as well.

I had to move because of a change of job. The first point of contact with American Van Lines was excellent. The woman who originally opened up the order and gave me the pricing was absolutely top-notch and super professional. However, the person who they eventually handed it off to was a pretty dim bulb. He handled everything on time but he didn't seem to get it all fundamentally. Speaking to him on the phone was like talking to someone that was not quite all there. But there was no issue with the flow of the work so I was very pleased with that. The crew was fantastic, friendly and professional. They packed, and were in and out of the house. The online reviews I've read about them were true. They were so unlike anybody else I've ever dealt with.

Dave from American Van Lines stayed in contact with me. They terminated the original agent that they were working with and made a strong effort trying to resolve my complaint. They also gave me a $1,000 dollar refund.

American Van Lines called after I signed up to get a quote online. They gave me a quote over the phone and via email as well. I called them back and set up the appointment. Everything was fine, and they did a great job.

The employees who made the pickup were very efficient and courteous. They were polite, efficient and helpful. It was difficult to get an update and definite delivery date so kinda complicated setting up a receiver at final destination. BUT Employees who made delivery, AGAIN were very efficient and courteous and for that reason I would recommend and use them to handle my family memory possessions. Thank you Good People for future. Nice people who do a good responsible job.

I moved to another place because of my new job. Johnny, the moving consultant, was good, very knowledgeable, very consultative and not trying to push. He was very consultative and we talked about what I needed and what they offered. Victor, my moving coordinator, was pretty good, easy to get a hold of and usually had the information that I needed pretty much right at hand. So once the salesperson got everything set up, then we were gone. It worked out quite nicely. Johnny, the moving consultant, was good, very knowledgeable, very consultative and not trying to push. He was very consultative and we talked about what I needed and what they offered.

They were great. Very pleased.

Our experience with American Van Lines has been really good. Things went as planned and I didn't find any problems in the way they handled the items. The people who came in explained the process and what needs to happen. There was a delay of an hour or so but it's not really a delay. I would recommend them to a friend.

There were several disconnects between the driver, dispatcher, and getting the information to me. In Connecticut, two windows of pickup were missed. In Florida three days of windows were missed for delivery. The lack of communication cost me an additional $600.00 in pay that could have been earned that I denied based on a time frame that did not happen for delivery.

The movers were wonderful, professional, courteous and helpful. I had a small flood and they very gracious working around the clean up.

Absolutely could not have had a better experience. Had to move my 95 year old mother's estate from NC to GA. The crew packed and moved a 1200 sq. ft apt with 60 years of collecting and never throwing anything away. From start to finish was less than 4 hours. The next day the unloading took less than 2 hours. There was absolutely no damage. I was extremely fortunate in choosing American Van Lines.

The moving coordinator was very friendly and everything was good except I filed a complaint about a part that was missing and they said they were going to reach out to me after the holidays and nobody did. I still have my dresser drawer apart.

I looked on the internet and American Van Lines was the best rated moving company I could find. The moving coordinator, Marcus, was very good, easy to get ahold of and answered all my questions. The guys who picked my stuff in Tulsa were very good. There was a little miscommunication about the extent of what they needed to do but once they found that out, they dealt with it just fine.

I had a great experience with American Van Lines. I’m very pleased with the quote the moving coordinator gave me and with their follow-up, calling me after the move to see how the moving went, and to find out if I needed anything while I was packing. Also, they provided me with boxes and tape. The crew during the pickup was fantastic as well. They had a system in place. One person did the wrapping, another person did the loading, and another stacked everything in the truck. It was very efficient. They worked very quickly, neatly, and carefully. Nothing was broken.

The team who moved us were very good. They made our move very very carefree. They knew what to do and they did it. We felt comfortable with their experience.

I would most definitely refer others to their service. I appreciated the information she was able to give over the phone, to develop a preliminary price quote. For the moving date, they worked very efficiently. However, in the midst of their hard work, they were also very cautious with my furniture and other belongings. They worked very well as a team. A lot of the interactions I had with the American Van Lines dispatcher was fun and the crew was pleasant to be around.

This is the second time I have used MBM and this was another great experience. The movers, Jeremy, Ricky, Mike arrived on time and took very good care of our belongings. The customer service rep John ** was always reachable. I will definitely recommend MBM to friends.

Everything was great with American Van Lines. The price wasn't necessarily the lowest but I had a good experience talking to the representative on the phone. Then they called ahead of time to tell me when they were gonna be coming. When the guys got there to do the move, everyone was wonderful. They told me what they were gonna do and they did it. We got everything done in time and everyone was very nice and pleasant.

I got an estimate from American Van Lines and they met that estimate to my satisfaction.

I could not have asked for a better moving experience. I received proactive calls and emails about when my movers would arrive and they called me the day before to notify me of the two-hour window. They were on time and very helpful. They worked hard, fast, and were careful with my belongings.

I didn't have any problems with the moving consultant, but on the other end, my sister kept calling to ask for information and the woman never returned the calls. She was very upset with her.

I had to move because of a job so I hired American Van Lines. The move is about 50 miles. The moving consultant was great, handled everything promptly and nicely. The crew was very cooperative. I asked questions and was able to answer things at the same time and everything was good. They were very fast and they got everything done in less time than they expected.

The guys who moved me were several hours late due to the earlier job running long. It was New Year's Eve, rainy and dark. They were tired but they got the move completed in the scheduled amount of time. They were very friendly and handled the pressure well.

Unfortunately the day we were to move didn't happen, they ended up being too busy, so we lost having our cable service hooked up. Then, your company called back and said have to come the NEXT DAY! Fortunately we had a place to stay the extra night and had to bring all our personal stuff back with us. We had everything in the new apartment. The next morning when the truck arrived, we have to say we were pleased with the men. They had a tough job, because of the size and weight of our furniture, but, they were successful, with no problems.

This was by far the easiest and least stressful move I have been involved with and I have moved over a dozen times in my life. Everyone I dealt with was professional, helpful and friendly. Not a whole minute passed from the time I hit the "Enter" key on the website and my phone ringing with AVL calling. The representative easily set up the move and the cost was very reasonable (it was half the cost of another quote I got). My personal customer service lady called me immediately to let me know she would answer any questions or address any concerns I might have throughout the entire moving process. She called me several times to make sure everything was going as expected, even after the move. The movers were awesome. Overall I am extremely happy with the job everyone did and would highly recommend AVL to family and friends.

Movers were nice, friendly and helpful and made moving very easy and stress free.

The movers on both ends were courteous and patient. They went the extra mile to facilitate us. Marcus our expeditor followed the move from inception to drop off with very caring scheduling that fitted our needs. He even called after the move in to check if we were satisfied which we were--yes, we would use and recommend American Van Lines.

The movers were professional, fast and friendly. I didn't have to do anything but vacuum after the move. I would definitely recommend using them.

I was satisfied with the service that we received from the company and the quick response to our questions and comments. The crew arrived at 9am and start moving things with no issues and no problems. We were able to complete the move and delivery to the new place in time with no problems as of now. We are still unpacking boxes so it is hard to say that nothing broke but so far we are happy with the experience and services provided by the company and the crew. Great job!

I was pleasantly surprised by the end of the experience. The driver was very experienced and pleasant. They revealed many rules and costs on the day of the move--bad. Dealing with a big company was frustrating. Marcus was helpful.

The moving coordinator and moving consultant from American Van Lines were very helpful. The moving crew moved quickly and was trying to be as accommodating as possible. They were organized and there was virtually nothing broken or scratched. Those were my biggest concerns going into it. I've never used a moving company before, I always did it by myself but they did a better job than I would have done.

I needed a moving company to move my household goods from a vacation home in NV to our home in MI. I had no idea who to hire, but a couple of reviews online convinced me to try American Van Lines. The crew that picked up our load in NV were very good about making sure that everything would make it home. When it was delivered, it was as good as when it left NV. If I have any more moves, I would not hesitate to use them again.

American Van Lines brought some items that I explicitly told them not to bring and it was a big problem. I wasn’t happy about it but they compensated me for it on the weight. They took the unwanted items off the bill. Additionally, they could do better with the quotation. They quoted me but were really iffy about weight and just gave me an estimate. I showed them everything and they were supposed to gather the weight from that which of course exceeded beyond that quite a bit. The moving guys were good though and I was satisfied. The chest wasn’t damaged. Maybe a nick on one of the things but life is life. Overall, it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t the best experience.

It was mostly a pleasant experience. However it would behoove American Van Lines to provide better estimates as the final price was almost 50 percent more than the estimated price. Many people would consider this price gouging and a shady practice.

Overall, a good dependable company to handle your move. Friendly customer service, and took the time to answer all my questions. All my items arrived within the dates given and in good condition. The only negative I have would be the communication could have been better as the delivery date approached. Ended up wasting a day and a half because the driver had travel problems but didn't post an update. Other than that, they kept me informed and were very professional. The rates were a little more than I hoped but in the end, it was well worth it. Satisfied customer here!

Movers were very nice and professional. Very well coordinated with management from the beginning. They delivered all my belongings on the agreed date and helped putting all back together and in place. In general, I'm very happy with American Van Lines moving services.

Delivered when estimated. All items arrived undamaged. A bit pricey but well worth the price!

The initial American Van Lines representative that I spoke with was consistent. He fulfilled all my requests. He was very good with the estimate and there were no changes after he quoted me an amount.

I was happy with the scheduling, the accuracy of the quote I was given, and the work of the movers.

The moving consultant of American Van Lines did a good job. Their moving crew took care of everything too. Everything came in good shape. The only problem that we had was that it seemed like it was a week longer than when it should've been but we managed okay. I guess they were loading and had more to pick up on the way down so our wait was extended out about five days longer than expected. But we'll definitely use them again.

I had to move long distance out of state by choice for work. The actual movers were great, but it was weird that in order to get my business, I was lied to about American Van Lines not being a broker in the beginning. The salesperson assured me several times that American Van Lines was not a broker, but they are. On the day of the move, these people from a different company are at my place. There was a lot of confusion on how they should be paid. The person that did the actual moving lost money as I would have paid American Van Lines instead of him directly for his portion of the deal. I had no idea that American Van Lines took the deposit, kept it for themselves, and only paid the mover the amount at the end. So the mover only made 50% of the deal when American Van Lines didn't do anything except give them jobs. I don't think I would use American Van Lines again because of that.

I was pleased with American Van Lines' moving coordinator and their consultant. The crew wrapped the furniture and moved it in a shorter amount of time than was allotted. They did a good job and I already have recommended them to a friend.

I want to start out by saying I hardly write reviews especially negative ones. But I need to make people aware of what I went through with this moving company. We contacted several moving companies and read reviews for each of the moving companies. The best review were for American Van Lines. We like the fact that they said they DO NOT outsource the moving to other companies. We had very specific dates that we had to move out by, we gave them a 2-3 day window of course.

The movers from came later so that wasn't good. We had to wait about 30 to 45 minutes before they came. However, the moving part was fine. So overall, my experience with American Van Lines was good.

American Van Lines is an amazing company. I heard about them from a friend of a friend, used them for my move and would recommend them.

The movers were professional and took their time to wrap everything properly. Communication could have been better in regards to length of move. Driver told me to call dispatch, dispatch told me to ask driver when load would be delivered.

The service of American Van Lines was great. Their moving consultant was really great and was always able to answer the questions. We work on the schedule together and the number of items. The estimate was pretty accurate as well. Recommended.

I had an overall great experience with American Van Lines about six months ago. They were a good group that were all very friendly and worked quickly. There were no damages.

My boss’ cousin told us about American Van Lines. Their moving coordinator was really nice and helped me a lot. Also, my interactions with the crew during and on the day of the move was really smooth - they were very helpful. Everything went really well.

The moving coordinator was great and the crew during the move were fine. However, their consultant who helped me plan all the details of my move was not so great. She was tough to reach and didn't really give me a lot of ideas about the times that the movers were coming to my house.

American Van Lines' moving consultants who helped us were good. The same guys that moved us down were going to move us back. They were very nice to us and that’s the reason why we committed to them. Their moving crew were very accommodating, courteous and good. I liked them. I hope it would be the same once they send them back to pick us up. They were really nice. These guys were a lot of fun to be around and I told them, “When we come back in the spring, we’re going to call you guys.” We love American Van Lines.

Moving with American Van Lines was pleasant, except for one thing—they were not able to move this one item, even though I had made it very clear to them how heavy it was. I expected them to be prepared to move that, but now this item is still stuck in New Jersey. But other than that, they were fine.

The man that booked both my daughter’s move and our move was great. The drivers were punctual and damage was minimal. Over the years, we have moved 15 times with the military with a sergeant standing there, making sure that they were doing a good job, and American Van was even better than that. They were great, and we've used them twice.

There was a little confusion with the job between the moving coordinator and the crew. And, they were giving me two different stories where the moving coordinator said I quoted everything and the crew was telling another thing. So I said to the moving crew that he has to take that up with the people from the office. But I didn't really make any changes so I guess he did take it up with the company. Other than that, everything went fine. On the day of the move, the crews were efficient and fast. I have no complaints with them, but better communication internally would be good.

I was happy with my movers. The driver (Aldo) contacted me prior to arrival (which was suppose to be at 2 pm). He arrived at 1 pm and was thorough in explaining how he was going to work. He kept us informed as they worked each room and even showed me how he was packing some items. Upon delivery very efficient and helpful. They made every attempt to assist with the correct placement of furniture. I would recommend to a friend.

We had a good experience with American Van Lines. The only thing was that I have one little piece that was missing off of an old piece of furniture we had. We got to looking for this after we moved in and couldn't find it. I called them and they looked around, but they couldn't find it either. But other than that, there was no problem. They did a good job and the guys were great. As a matter of fact, they pushed us to get things done, which was unusual.

I moved from Niagara Falls, New York to Southport, North Carolina. My things needed to be moved into a storage unit. And then a month later I unpacked the storage unit. I was very pleased with the men from American Van Lines that came to pick the furniture up and the way that they packed it. There were three challenging items and I didn't get them right away. Unfortunately, they somehow misplaced the storage unit number and put my materials in a smaller storage unit. This happened during the Fourth of July so there weren't people at the unit that could've helped them out.

I've used American Van Lines three times. If I can afford it, every time I move I'll always use them. They're the most fabulous moving company I've ever dealt with. The last time I moved, I requested the three guys that moved me the time before (MBM Moving out of Greensboro) and the company granted that wish. Those three guys are like family to me. I can't say enough good stuff about that company. We also became friends with the guy that followed up with me, Jason. Based on my overall experience with them, I would recommend them to a friend.

The team sent by American was awesome. Everything happened as expected, no surprises. The movers were great - handled everything efficiently and with all due care. They took care of everything. I don't have a single complaint. I would definitely use this company again.

Our overall experience with American Van Lines was wonderful. I moved so many different times recently. I made a big move to Tampa from Clearwater. I did a local move and I got American Van Lines for the other move too. Also, I had them when we moved into a condo, which we're not used to living in. When we moved in, the manager of the condo said he wished everyone was this professional.

This was my first time hiring movers and I have to say that I am 100% satisfied with the experience. From the initial quote to the move itself, very satisfied. I would definitely recommend to friends/family! And I plan to use AVL again as well!

I had a very good experience with American Van Lines. I liked their drivers - they were very helpful and they did well. I'm very satisfied.

All in all, my move with American Van Lines itself was fine. I loved the guys and the way they took care of things, but the time frame was a little iffy. The moving coordinator was very good. The crew of three fellows that came to move me was awesome too, and they packed everything very carefully. However, since I was widowed I just had part of a load. When I signed to get it they said, “Well, because you’re not a full load it could be about three days. Just let us know when you can accept.“ Which is fine, I understand that because I’m not a full load so I probably have to share it with one or two other families. I had to have my furniture stored until I got my home in Kansas but when the time to accept actually came, they said, “No, it could be up to three weeks that you have to wait for your furniture.” I was never told that upfront or I wouldn’t have waited three weeks. That's where the downside came.

Brian ** was our first point of contact. He brought over boxes for us to pack and quotes us a flat rate for ship, which was approximately $1500 less than a competitor. On moving day, the three movers came early and were very fast and very organized when it came to moving everything onto the truck. They quickly brought the boxes into our new residences and then left. It was a wonderful experience - by far the smoothest experience of our whole moving process. I would highly recommend American Van Lines to anyone who needs movers. Professional, quick, thorough, gentle, and strong.

I had a friend who did a painless cross-country move from Virginia to California so I asked them, "Who did you use?" and he said, "American. Don't use anybody else." I inquired into some other local moving company and it turned out that American was the best and I had a couple other referrals as well. The best part of my move was when I had to make some revisions in the address because I entered them wrong. The consultant helped me set up the whole thing, answered my questions, persuaded me and boosted my confidence. He called me back and stayed in touch with me afterwards. The packing and unloading crew were fantastic. I showed them what was going and what was staying and they were incredibly fast and gentle with my things. They gave me advice on how to move some of the things around once they got here. That was the easiest moving experience that I could have imagined and if I move again, I would not hesitate to call them.

Dependable, on time, efficient, helpful, worked together to get the job done, polite. After they completed the job they asked if there was anything else they could do for us.

I had a very good experience using American Van Lines. The guys were diligent in helping me. I'm a single woman that's had several spine surgeries so they were very kind. Our timing was terrible because they had to drive out of the way to get to a weigh station. Late getting to the house and then late leaving but they stayed until everything was absolutely done. They were great and I would recommend them to a friend.

My move could not have gone any smoother. From the sales visit to the pickup and delivery of my property, everyone was professional and courteous. Overall I rate American as the best moving experience I have EVER had.

I will totally use American Van Lines again. They were fantastic and excellent. The two guys that packed up my stuff were absolutely incredible and fabulous. Nothing was broken. And the guys that unloaded the truck here were also brilliant. I've actually recommended them a bunch of times to other people because it was a seamless and perfect experience. I had a job change so I needed to move and moving with American Van Lines was probably the most professional move I ever had. Their moving coordinator was excellent and my experience with their moving consultant was very good and he was very prompt and responsive. In addition, the moving crew were very professional, they kept working, and did a thorough job of wrapping everything so it was also a good experience.

I needed someplace who could do storage and move me. I had to store stuff through for about three months. So I looked online and went with American Van Lines and the whole experience was very good. I would recommend them to a friend.

American Van Lines operated well. My only issue was that they came a little late and didn’t call me. It was a struggle to find out where they were and when they would arrive, but once they got into the work, everything was great.

American Van Lines was fantastic! I've known about them when I went to the Better Business Bureau website and looked at movers with great ratings. The moving coordinator I spoke with when I initially called in did a great job; he went through everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. The moving consultant who helped me plan all the details of my move was fantastic. The moving crew was also fantastic; they worked super hard with us, and they were on top of everything. They went above and beyond. My only issue is that I had to reach out to several different people. We had a couple of items that were damaged, which happens when moving, and I had to call four different phone numbers before I finally got a resolution and process for the damages. I'd recommend them.

The people from American Van Lines were very nice. It was one of those situations where it had to be out of there quickly and they sent the truck, and then moved the next day. They were wonderful, and they worked very hard with me. They made it easier for me as they were on time, and they did what they had to do.

Our overall experience with American Van Lines would have been great until November 22nd or somewhere shortly thereafter. We have discovered that there was a box that did not get onto our load.

Our move with American Van Lines initially went very well. We were able to come up with a date and got payment figured out. However, it concerns me when they said we're going to deal with the move all in one day and that has not been my experience. Moreover, on the day of our move, their crew were a couple of hours late and that was not good because I had expressed that they needed to start at 9 a.m. so that they'd be able to complete on time. That did put us in a bit of a situation later on. In summary, there was a lot of damage. We've moved a lot of times and we definitely had the most damage with this move which surprised me because they didn't have to move the stuff more than just putting it on the truck and then taking it out so I was expecting less damage.

American Van Lines' moving coordinator was extremely accommodating. He and his assistant were wonderful, very helpful and prompt in responses to my questions. The moving driver was very professional, well-experienced and efficient. Packers were efficient, fast, polite and professional too. On the day of our move, there was very little space left in the back of the truck so the mattresses, box-springs and my two leather club chairs were stacked on the back end. Four men forced the load in to be able to literally close the doors. I don't know if it was in that process that some damage occurred to some artworks that they specially packed for me as well as four of our furniture pieces, but it's very probable. It did result in quite a claim. I moved 15 times and this was the most damage I've ever had in a move but Baker Insurance took care of it. From the service and the quote I got from them that I felt that was reasonable, I would recommend them.

After writing this review, Dave called to resolve the issues with the move. At this point, I consider the multiple issues resolved.

I found out about American Van Lines through a friend and my experience with them was very good. The moving crew was extremely polite and professional—they were excellent. They did a great job!

Everything with the move went great except that everything didn't fit on one truck because I had some big furniture. I tried to explain it to the guy but it would have been better if somebody came to the house to see what I had, rather than trying to explain it over the phone which was difficult to do. The three guys that actually did the move were excellent, helpful and did a great job for me. They took care of me and were very professional. They sent a second truck to pick up the rest of the stuff.

Jeremy and his loading crew were fantastic. They were able to accommodate all our needs. They were focused on the task at hand and completed the job in a very efficient manner. The unloading crew with Jeremy again the lead were just as efficient. Both crews were very interactive with us. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is moving!! Couldn't have been more pleased.

I received a call to follow up on my previous complaint. They were very apologetic and understanding of my situation and offered a resolution to my issue.

American Van Lines has to be given a gold star because everybody in that group was perfect. They were wonderful and everybody in their system supported me at a time when my husband had just died and I was moving back to Florida. I would recommend them.

Our experience with American Van Lines was very good and I'm very happy with the result. They kept in touch with me regularly, so there were no surprises in terms of my call going to be picked up or dropped. We negotiated a price and a binding estimate and that is exactly what I paid.

This was a new crew from last year that serviced our event. Wade was great and for the most the team did an great job. However, we did have a complaint that the movers had gone into the VIP Hospitality Room and ate food that was not for them. I, as the commencement coordinator stopped two of the employees and told they were not supposed to be in there and certainly not eating the food. They responded they were told that they could. In speaking with Chris **, the Prop Master for the event and the person directing the crew for the day, he did not authorize them or give approval to eat the food. There were people in the VIP room who were upset. Room security alerted me that there were unauthorized individuals in the room. This is unacceptable. In the future, please note, we will not be providing food or refreshments for the crew. Please ask them to be prepared with their own snacks and beverages for the day.

American Van Lines was terrific. Their moving crew were professional, very timely, friendly and organized, and they moved a grand piano, too. It was great.

The gentleman who did the original deal with me was good. He helped me accommodate my situation with the changes. However, the logistics department was very lax. When it got to the day and time they gave me, they never showed up and no one responded back. It took me forever to find out that the person who contacted me about the moving date was not there anymore. They need to improve on the communications and what was going on. I've moved cross-countries and they were a lot simpler than dealing with American Van Lines. I wasn't totally happy with my experience with the logistics department. They did compensate me though. The driver was the one who really rocked it for me. He made things happen. He worked with me and helped me moving-wise.

The movers did a good job moving our household belongings from Greensboro to Belmont.

American Van Lines was referred by a colleague through another moving company. The moving coordinator was friendly and he was trying his best to figure out the date that would work for us. The conversation was definitely pleasant and I felt very comfortable with him. I just wish that they had more dates available that was closer to that date since we ended up having to reschedule a couple of times. On the day of the move, my husband was there. He totally felt like they did an amazing job. They were very hardworking and adaptable too.

I heard about American Van Lines through work. Everything about the move went well, and the moving crew was very good.

American Van Lines has its good and bad points. The people that did the work were absolutely excellent and did a great job in transporting. There was a bit of confusion at the end because they were not able to bring their whole truck nearer which cost us additional. We moved into a condo so they had restrictions about the length of the vehicle as well as the times that they were allowed. So it turned out to be a double jeopardy because they couldn't move in on a weekend and the drivers had to park the truck, come back on a Monday and rent a smaller truck. It was an unexpected cost. If they cleared those things in advance, it would avoid a whole lot of confusion for folks.

The movers were kind, generous, and conscientious when they arrived to picked up my stuff. They were hardworking and personable and frankly made my move a total pleasure during the hours they were at my home. The gentleman I spoke to who was responsible for the final delivery was also very kind though we only spoke on the phone as they arrived 2 days early. Across the board the movers arrived early on both accounts and worked very efficiently. The representatives I spoke with on the phone were also very nice and helpful. Everything seems to have arrived in good shape. Thank you very much for your amazing service!

I have moved more than I care to remember but this move was the best. Both the pickup crew and the delivery crew were thorough, friendly and very competent. I did lose one floor lamp and am waiting for Victor to let me know if it was found but I would ask for these folks again if I ever move... Which I hope I never will. Thanks.

I had to do all of talking with American Van Lines over the phone because I wasn't in the state. I had a friend go and coordinate it all and they made it very easy for us to talk to them before the move. I talked to different people throughout the moving process but everybody was very kind, understanding and helpful. It was a very good and easy experience in general.

I dealt with Leslie **. She helped me make all the arrangements to make sure the crew was on time and prepared to do the job. She was always quick to assist whenever I called with any questions. We left Florida to move to California Our calls to American Van Lines were returned promptly. Communication was good between the consultant, the customer service person, and the delivery people. Both the pack up team and delivery team were professional, showed up and did as expected. They worked efficiently, cleanly, neatly and everything arrived intact. The entire move was much better than I expected hoped for with any moving company. People that do good work should be acknowledged, and they did a good job.

MBM / American have been proactive in resolving our issues. We have resolved the insurance claim with company. They have also taken corrective action and fired the employee that handled our move.

The crew doing the loading and unloading were very good. They took great care in packing everything and making sure all furniture was wrapped well. They were professional and respectful.

They moved some furniture back into the room we vacated, which we greatly appreciated. The guys who brought in the furniture here in NC were also very professional and helpful in moving some stuff in order to make room for the things we moved. We are very happy with this company.

The process from the sales quote to the delivery went pretty well. The only downside was that the truck had a mechanical issue which delayed the delivery a week, but they were still within the time quoted for delivery.

I was very pleased with American Van Lines' service. Everybody there was on time and helpful. The moving coordinator called me often and worked on my schedule and what would be the best. Also, the moving consultant was very good and the crew that came out and did the actual move were exceptionally nice. We moved because my wife got a new job. The moving coordinator who assisted with the purchase provided me with a good rate, and was able to answer all my questions. Everything went pretty smooth on the day of our move. I had no complaints, even though I've heard a lot of horror stories. On my end, there's a bit of a scheduling disaster, with the settlement date with the seller, the realtor. But they were accommodating, making last minute changes, pushing the delivery back a day, later than expected. All in all, I think the experience went pretty well. I would recommend them to a friend.

I used American Van Lines on a prior move, and used them again on a move back in February. We moved out of a rental apartment into a home, and everything went fine. The moving consultant who helped with all the details of the move, as well as the moving crew were also fine. I would recommend them.

My experience with American Van Lines was superior in every way - best price, best customer service, best movers and most efficient and timely delivery. I contacted three companies on Tuesday before Thanksgiving week, to move furniture that Saturday from Florida to Colorado. I called American Van Lines, PODs and Allied. PODs got back first with an electronic estimate, and I called their phone representative said "yes, we can deliver a POD and have availability Thanksgiving weekend. I called back PODs to schedule 12 hours later, and they said "oh no, we are three weeks out."

American Van Lines' coordinator was extremely helpful over the phone. It was a stressful time for me and everybody, but they all were fantastic. They took care of everything and they allowed me to breathe, which was nice.

My apartment was being renovated and I had to move to another so I used American Van Lines. I had a good experience with the moving consultant and the crew. I'm probably going to use them again around June because I'm moving to Florida. I'd definitely recommend them.

Joseph, American Van Lines' fantastic and very helpful sales guy, worked with my nervousness and bad experiences in the past. He was able to work out a private, dedicated truck for me and brought the price down closer to my budget. Then two gentlemen came to load everything up - they were very careful with our stuff.

Having problems in one area of our move, my first survey was very negative toward one customer service representative. I must say that I was extremely impressed with the follow up from American Van Lines. I was contacted shortly after my survey by a customer service manager, then the owner himself. They showed me genuine concern about the problems we had and took care of it at both ends.

I'd heard about American Van Lines before, and when I got ready to move I did a Google search and some homework and due diligence, calling to get the best rates and trying to see which service was going to have more pages to what my needs were. Their consultants spoke with me to get a general list of those things that needed to be moved and gave me an estimate as to how much time it would take, so the communication was extremely good. The movers arrived in a timely manner and did exactly what they were tasked with doing. They were extremely professional in their communication with me before and during the move, so they did a great job. I was extremely satisfied with their service and would most definitely recommend it to those who are currently planning to move.

I came across American Van Lines when I went online to look for storage movers. On the day of the move, the crew seemed to be very careful and good. However they should've been trained a little bit about folding soft goods and packaging, but, overall, I was quite satisfied with them.

We were happy with American Van Lines. They were very upfront and forward, from the time the gentlemen came to set up the plans, and it worked well. The guys who did the moving were very careful and meticulous wrapping our furniture, so when we moved out of our storage unit that we’re in right now, we plan to call American Van Lines again. American Van Lines did very good with moving our furniture. The guy on the phone was right on the money. He told me where to come, he got me some boxes, and gave me a price. Exactly what I'm looking and the price was right. The time they said they'd be there, they were right there. The two movers were great, too. They got the work done in an hour and a half.

For my experience with American Van Lines, I'd say out of 100%, I'd give them 90%. I had a decent experience with them, however there was only one negative thing. The only reason I went with them is they said they can move a safe that I had in my garage and that was the one thing they could not do, I had to do it myself.

I called American Van Lines and the rep gave me a quote which I analyzed through the pricing structure. Then I called her again and said I agreed to the date and then she set it up. The crew was great, efficient, and got everything done ahead of schedule. I would go with them again.

My wife coordinated our move to Austin with the moving consultant from American Van Lines. However, it took 24 hours before the consultant got back to get some specifics in terms of the delivery dates. It is less than ideal but nothing too major. And on the date of our move, it was raining in Austin and it was nice because the moving crew didn't make a mess and they did a really good job with loading and unloading.

American Van Lines was recommended by one of our friends. The moving coordinator who assisted us was great. He was good and helpful, answered any questions, and gave us his extension so we could talk to him when we had to go through all the recordings and stuff. On the day of our move, we had good interactions with our moving crew and we like them a lot. The only thing we had a hard time with when they shipped our stuff was getting it delivered. It took about two weeks to contact people, so we kept calling our coordinator who helped us set up the move, and he was helpful in getting people moving on it. That was frustrating, but we were happy we had the coordinator for it.

My movers, Wade and JJ, were great. They were professional and efficient. My only issue was with the customer service department. They were slow and made me go through multiple hoops just to pay with a credit card. They also misplaced faxes I sent them.

I had an excellent experience with American Van Lines. I didn't claim it yet, but there was a gash in the corner of my fireplace, but they did really well. They were very helpful, handled the move beautifully and everything was delivered on time so I was very pleased.

There were three gentlemen and it wasn't a large move, but I was moving out of county. It was a couple of hours away. They were on time, gentle, nothing broke and they took care of everything. They were really nice because I was moving into a home that was just built and the carpeting wasn't down so they accommodated everything in the area they had to accommodate. I was absolutely pleased. My boyfriend works for Guilford County and they get a discount when they use American Van Lines' service. Their staff were great and helpful and the moving crew was wonderful. However, the only complaint I have was that they didn't know until very late on the day before what time they would be at my house. That wasn't their fault, but it would've been a little helpful to know a little sooner.

The moving consultant was fine. However, I don't really know how it works when you're dealing with someone on the phone and then the movers come, they are like, "Oh yeah, you're gonna pay a lot more because you have more stuff than you said," which I didn't. I would recommend them to a friend for sure, but they need to figure it out because we're moving that house and we have boxes and the price magically became $2,000 more. That's a major thing and we probably won't use their company from now on and try to do it on our own.

The moving coordinator at American Van Lines was presentable, clear, and concise and I didn't feel he was being too pushy. There were a couple of bumps on the road but those things happen. Their drivers were very helpful and efficient too. There was a problem at the end where they had to physically take all the furniture off the truck and walk it down my driveway. And they didn't have to do that because that went against the contract, but they did it anyway and that was a huge help. I recommended them to my mother.

My father who lived in Connecticut passed away and I was responsible for setting up moves of my parents' stuff to my brother, sister, and myself - all of us living in different parts of the country. I was researching online about movers and calling people. I felt good when I talked to the people at American Van Lines so I hired them. I pretty much told them what I want to do and the consultant said they can do it. Their coordinator was great - kept me up-to-date about the projected times and if there were changes. I felt that the move was really well-handled. I'd never had anything like that done for me before, so that was great.

American Van Lines' moving coordinator quoted me a good figure. Meanwhile, I couldn’t have had a better experience with the moving crew. They came in, wrapped my stuff and took good care of it. They took it from house A to house B and they set what they took out back up. They made sure it was not damaged and had me verify it was not damaged. They were very cordial and respectful to the other people I had in the house helping me. I couldn’t have asked for a better moving group. I highly recommended them.

I used AVL for a 30-mile move. Their moving consultant was more than detailed and helpful, while the moving crew was very productive. They finished the job within the estimated time. It was very good and satisfactory.

AVL was able to get my house (1,600 sq ft) moved (and partially packed) NY to GA with less than a week notice of my pickup date in which another vendor left me out to dry. They used a subcontractor to do the work, who were pleasant, efficient and accurate. Communication from the sub supplier could have been better, but AVL was top notch. AVL was honest about all charges and costs upfront and there were no surprises!

The coordinator was very friendly and good. The same goes with the consultant that went to my house to plan the details of my move. He was friendly and helpful. Plus, the moving crew was very quick and efficient. I have no complaints with American Van Lines.

And the guy who had helped me through it all, Johnny who's based in Florida, was just very, very helpful through the whole process. I can't express how amazing and smoothly American Van Lines made this move! First, one word BERNIE. Bernie ** made this move AMAZING! We moved from DC to TX and only had a couple of weeks before my husband started his job. From the first moment when I talked to Bernie about our move he made me feel comfortable, didn't overpromise anything and explained the company. He was also very patient as my phone was acting up along with a crazy 2 1/2 yr old in the background.

The moving coordinator from American Van Lines was good and the moving crew was great. Also, the manager of the move was very impressive. He was helpful, resourceful, and was able to take care of everything. Although, the process of planning the move out one day and having a window is a little frustrating. Other than that, I'm happy with the service.

I used American Van Lines in January of last year and I just used them at the end of August and it's been totally different experiences. The first one was excellent. They were like cracker-jack, you could tell these worked together forever. And they shrink wrapped everything and they took care of everything. Everything was like clockwork and it was fabulous. The second time, it was double the price for exactly the same furniture because it was a different time of year. January was 1600 and then I paid 3500 to move in August and I wasn't happy about that but nothing I could do and I even said to them, "I'm a repeat customer."

Our experience with American Van Lines ended well, but there were a few hiccups. They need to improve their scheduling and customer service since our delivery got rescheduled about four or five times. But that was the only downside. Our things were delivered intact and the moving crew, both at the source and destination, were great.

My wife's a real estate agent. She had done some advertising about the house being up for sale, then American Van Lines sent me an advertisement. They were excellent. They came in with a lock code. From the estimator to the movers, they were really good. They were quick and fast, too.
