Virginia from customer service was very helpful. The actual experience with the service could be improved. I was charged significantly more than expected for a single report and discovered I was on a recurring subscription that I was unaware of until I found several charges when viewing my monthly credit card statement.

I was trying to figure out how to cancel a subscription for a report package and got matched with Ryan and he helped me cancel a subscription I no longer needed. He was quick, helpful, and polite, and the conversation went in under five minutes. I appreciate his help.

I misunderstood what I was signing up for and my agent made it easy to close my account and receive a refund for the month I was charged for record access. Whenever I signed up I didn’t understand what I signed up for but it was a no fuss “you got it”. Makes me feel more comfortable to access in the future.

I had to try 3 credit cards to pay $1.00 work a $20 charge in 30 days that gave me access to 480 records. I simply wanted to find out where my septic tank was. Someone will get back with me in 12-,24 hours. No help septic truck here now having hard time finding. Got tons of info about property I never asked for. They fraudulently charged me the 20 bucks anyway on top of asking me where I wanted my REPORT sent. Without even realizing That's another 7 bucks. After some back and forth the account was finally canceled and reluctantly agreed to refund 20 bucks that I'll see in 3-5 business days. We'll see. And news FLASH CASH APP AND VENMO AREN'T EXACTLY RELOADABLE CARDS. I guess technically, but it's 2026. I get paycheck direct deposited every week. I have account numbers. Credit that I can borrow against etc.

I had received a $1 charge and an additional $9.95 charge. I was misled with the additional $9.95 charge. I contacted the Live Chat and was assisted by Kathleen. She was quick, attentive, polite and proactive. It was a pleasure to receive customer service like the good old days.

I used a credit card that rarely gets used so I didn't notice they were randomly charging $5 every now and then. A month later, it changed to $20 randomly being charged. So by the time I logged into my account, I had $65 worth of charges that I did not know about. I knew about the initial $1 for the report but that was it. I only received an email twice and those were from the day I looked up the report. I have not received any emails since then. I looked back to see if I missed the "contract" that I might have signed without realizing but now I see that others have the same problem.

Nancy was attentive and solved my need right away. Highly capable and professional. I would certainly recommend this company to a friend and or family member. Very happy with the overall service. She was patient and kind as well.

I used PublicRecords.us and it worked well, I got the information I was seeking. About a month later 9.95 was drafted out of my checking account, when I closed the account out they refunded it. Customer service was easy to access and the process was fast, it was almost no harm, no foul. Just a bit of inconvenience that can probably be attributed to my lack of due diligence if we’re being completely honest.

Got here and paid $1 for the report I needed and the wording is quite confusing, seems purposely so, to sell a $20 report package. My interpretation was cancel or you will be charged $20, not "you will be charged $20" PLUS the $1. That does not even make sense - just charge the $20 and then the report you came to run is included in that. So, bogus, guys. On the plus side, I went into chat and your (AI?) agent refunded the $20 when I asked for the specific text telling me I had to pay the $20.

Terrible service. They charge you for things you never requested. I requested a property report for $7 and they charge me an additional $20, $9, and $1 as separate charges without my permission. I attached a copy of the bill below. They did this the last time I used them but I was forced to use them since it's the only service connected to the LA city website for property reports. The property records that they did have were also wrong. Wrong Tenants and Sales info. Total scammers. AVOID THEM.

Super scammy company. At no point did I sign up for a membership or subscription of any sort, I’m very careful about these things. I paid to get the public of one particular house we looked at, nothing else. Public Records put through three different charges that same day and then proceeded to charge every few weeks. More than once a month! I had to deal with my CC company for a refund. What a pain. Not a trustworthy company.

The report that was generated was very helpful. The issue came when I paid for the report, I kept getting charged $20 every other week unknowingly. That really adds up after a while. I paid the next bill on my statement and thought I was done with the transaction. One month later, the merchant charged me again. I successfully disputed the charge and had to cancel and was issued a new card. What a hassle for information that was worthless and a company willing to ignore a cancellation and still trying to sell customers garbage.

I think the service is good and if you spend the dollar to get something that you just need one time it works but you better cancel immediately cause it's somewhat of a bait and switch. They charge you $20 almost right away if you don't cancel. So I did cancel and they charged me $20 anyway but they reverse the charges. I think it's how they make money so you have to be careful.
