I initially believed I was purchasing a one-time $1 property report. I did not realize that it included a recurring membership, and I was surprised when I saw the pending $31 charge on my card. I believe the payment and subscription process should be presented much more clearly so customers can easily understand that they are enrolling in a recurring plan before completing the purchase. That said, I contacted customer support through the live chat, and they responded very quickly. Amanda canceled my account immediately, processed a full refund, and sent a confirmation email within minutes. I truly appreciate their prompt assistance and professional resolution of the issue. My only suggestion is to make the subscription terms more transparent during checkout to help avoid misunderstandings for future customers.

This is a scam. Flat-out scam. I was duped into “agreeing” to a recurring charge of $9.95 biweekly? Seriously? To look up ONE record? For 7 months, I’ve paid $20/month for nothing? I’m contacting the BBB next.

I joined to find information. After using I had no problem canceling my membership through chat.

Needed a vehicle report. It generated quickly and was delivered swiftly. However, paying for the report was deceptive in that they claim it's only $1 for the report, but it's an auto-charge for a full report package at $35 that doesn't provide an option to opt out. Customer service was quick, to the point, and very helpful.

I was trying to access one public record so I paid a dollar. I thought this was all I would be charged- then a month later I was charged 30$. I assume I did not read the agreement thoroughly, but they refunded my money anyways.

I was scammed by PublicRecords.us for the same reason many other people have been. The website says that for $1 you'll get a property record. After several minutes, the "record" is available, you click on the report and all of the sudden they ask for additional fees for this that and the other. After checking with my bank, I found out that there was a $36 charge pending. I called my bank and reported it as a SCAM! Stay away from this site! You can get public records free from any county you reside!
