Very quick and easy. I forgot about a subscription that I had previously signed up for with Public Records and was charged for it. Upon speaking with customer service they quickly responded and addressed my concerns by canceling my subscription and refunding me the money that was spent on renewing the forgotten subscription. The customer service agent Anthony I spoke with was very quick and professional, and gave me no hassle.

Person on chat was great but site is confusing. I didn’t know that I would be subscribing to a package until I checked my bank statements. And there was no drop down menu to cancel. Also it’s hard to submit a review.

I was not happy to find I was being charged $5 every two weeks when I only agreed to a $1 charge for public information. It took me a few months to realize I was being charged over and over. When I went to the website, I found a "Chat box" option... Always a great serve to offer. Then I discovered a REAL person I was interacting with (Paul). After describing my situation, Paul issued a full refund of the four $5 charges that I did not authorize. Honestly, I'm shocked at the great service and willingness to refund me so quickly. Almost restores my faith in humanity!

Paul was a great help today. I had a handful of questions, and he took the time to answer all of them clearly. Even though the interaction was online, he was very friendly, patient, and easy to talk to. He made sure I understood everything and didn’t rush through the conversation. I received the public report and had an issue with a package I accidentally selected at check out. Customer service was helpful and refunded the account. It was quick and easy. I was able to live chat a customer service agent Paul who was able to refund the additional amount changed. I was happy everything worked out. I will use PublicRecords again in the future.

I created an account at the begining of the year and I stopped using the service. When I was going through my bank account I saw chagres I didn't reconize. I came to the site and was helped by an assistant who warmly helped me through the process and was professional and diligent in helping me get a refund for the unrecognized charges, also closed my account to prevent further charges. Live chat agent from Virginia was pleasant to work with. They were patient in explaining what the charges were on my credit card. Obviously I realized that I was not aware of what I clicked, so they were kind enough to offer me a refund of the report package that I inadvertently clicked on. I had very prompt service from Pam and was able to get my needs met through the chat. The PublicRecords site was confusing and I was getting recurring charges that I did not remember agreeing to and Pam was able to stop the recurring charges and close my account.

Quickly got report, however never saw mention of a reoccurring charge for the 10 reports 9.95 package. Wish it would have been more detailed regarding this, however the rep I contacted swiftly remedied the situation and closed my account while also refunding the last charge.

I don’t realize it was a subscription. They do make it easy to cancel once I figured out I was being continually charged, however. I’d use again, but I think the continued charging should be more prominently mentioned on purchase.

I needed a consumer report for myself and paid 9.95. I was under the impression it was a one time fee. It looks like I was charged another fee. Customer service was able to help me and they closed down my account. I think it is deceiving the way the report payment is set up.

I needed my property report to pay my taxes. I didn't realize I signed up for a monthly charge, so I contacted customer service, expecting it to be a pain to close. My account was closed in 2 minutes. It was very easy, which I appreciate as usually canceling things is difficult nowadays. The price was reasonable, and I was able to get all the information I needed. I just didn't need the service anymore.

I contacted the live chat service to assist canceling the package my account was linked with, as I was unaware of it being a recurring charge. I was immediately given the details of the account, what the charge was for, as well as had my card cancelled so I would not receive any further charges. The experience was great. It was very easy and extremely helpful. The representative answered all of my questions clearly and took the time to make sure I understood everything. They explained why I had a charge on my account that I wasn’t aware of and walked me through the details so there was no confusion. I really appreciated how patient and professional they were throughout the whole process. Quick and easy! All you have to do is write exactly what you would like and it generates immediately. You also get a confirmation email seconds after. I asked to cancel whatever subscription I had and it was done. Then I asked for a refund and it happened immediately.

on 2/23/26 I requested a property record in PDF format. I was charged $9.95, $1.00, $7.00 and $18.00 for a total of $35.95 for said record. On 3/11/26 we get another charge for $9.95. When you create your account you are automatically signed up for a monthly recuring charge in addition to the outrageous cost of $26 to pull a public property record. I urge you to use another service as all I could get Ryan at customer service to do was close my account and stop charging me $9.95 for nothing. Terrible site and service.

Kimberly was able to get my subscription canceled in less than one minute. The entire interaction was incredibly efficient, straightforward, and clearly focused on resolving the issue as quickly as possible. This is exactly how every customer support chat should operate—fast, effective, and results-driven. Kimberly demonstrated a high level of professionalism and competence, and in my opinion she represents the gold standard for how support representatives should handle customer requests.
That being said, the review system itself is extremely frustrating and poorly designed. It actually makes it harder to leave positive feedback for representatives who truly deserve it. Systems like this end up preventing great employees from receiving the recognition they should be getting for doing an excellent job. If anything, the platform should make it easier—not harder—for customers to leave strong positive reviews for support agents like Kimberly who clearly go above and beyond.

Katherine was the rep. that helped me. She was very nice and informative. She was able to tell me why I was being charged and helped resolve my problem. She closed my account and sent a text message that the account is now closed. She also provided a confirmation number.

I woke up today to find an unauthorized $20 charge. I only used this service once so I was a little distraught, confused, and annoyed. Upon going to the website I was able to click live chat and within a minute Ryan resolved my issue and issued a $20 refund. He was understand and efficient, and even made me feel bad about the way I messaged him. He is truly a great worker and you are all lucky to have him.

Ryan was extremely curious and helpful. Pubic Records in general is awful. I was unwittingly subscribed. I was not aware and did I receive notification. There was no way to cancel other than to open up a chat. It sucks you can't access PR without going through pay wall.

Matthew, the CSR who handled my inquiry, was amazing. He was very accommodating and responded to my concern quickly. I had to file taxes for my rental property for the first time, and the form required the lot’s assessed value. Since I had recently moved, it would have taken time for me to locate the document that Allen County sent me, so I used the $1 public record service. However, I was later charged an additional $27 for an upgrade and membership that I didn’t need. Fortunately, Matthew understood my situation and promptly helped process my refund. I really appreciate his professionalism and excellent customer service.

The Public Records site is accurate and easy to use. The information provided to me was available immediately after payment of the service I selected. I did accidentally sign up for an account with a monthly fee, which was not needed. Contacting them via chat on their website was also very easy, and my issue was immediately resolved, and the extra monthly payment was reimbursed.

Service was good overall, and the customer service representatives were professional and helpful when I interacted with them. However, I was disappointed that there is no option to close the account online or through a simple self-service process. Customers should be able to manage their own accounts, including closing them, without having to contact a representative.
Having to call and speak with a customer service agent just to close the account was frustrating and unnecessarily time consuming. The process took longer than it should have and required waiting on the phone, which could easily be avoided if an online account-closure option were available. Providing customers with a straightforward way to close their accounts independently would make the experience much more efficient and customer friendly.

I bought the report because it said it was only $1. Turned out I got charged $9.95 for it a recurring monthly charge. I think the website is misleading. Please have better information on your website on how it works.

The next day I noticed that I had an additional charge of 9.95 that I didn’t agree to. Once contacting customer service. They took care of everything for me and had the charge reversed. I didn't realize that a report was more than the $1 at the time of the pop up along me if I wanted to purchase the report. Then looking at my bank statement it was more than that. Contacted customer service and was refunded for the unexpected amount! Incredible customer service! It went through a bunch of questions with cost amounts which I declined all. So I was not expecting the extra cost. It was refunded, super company!

Per the FAQ, I could have purchased just 1 record for $1. However, I was charged the $1 plus $9.95 (price for 10) and I do not want any other records. Live Chat was prompt and seemingly helpful. Account was easily closed and forwarded to customer service to get mailed a refund, not clear why card couldn’t be refunded. The record itself was not what I was hoping for, but informative nonetheless. I was really getting after property lines and I did not think record was accurate/detailed. Cannot zoom out on the map, so property lines did not encompass the entire property. And looking at adjacent properties, their property lines were clearly mapped out; however for the record I needed, there were no actually lines, just the adjacent properties’ lines.

However, instead they: 1) charged me a $1 but gave me info on wrong person - same name, but different birthdate, despite having entered my mother's date of birth in part of the "required" info; 2) at same time as $1 charge went through, another charge for $9.95 went through for a "subscription"; I contacted publicrecords.us immediately, and they canceled the subscription, but did not give a refund; 3) because they would not accept the primary card I use for the $1 purchase, I had to use a rarely used back-up card; a few days later, fraudulent charges started coming in on this rarely-used card. Coincidence?

The reason I have not given a five-star is that somehow I was charged $5 numerous times and was unaware that there was any subscription here. But what I can say is that customer service is quick and efficient and the moment I mentioned that I didn't realize I signed up for something Donna immediately took care of the problem.
