Website was very thorough and easy to use. Glad I did my research to see what the vendors can see, when selling my vehicle. Saved me a lot of time and hassle while on location. Did not have to bother going between many dealerships for a small margin of profit.

Efficiently cancelled my subscription via “chat”. I signed up during an emergency and forgot to cancel I guess. I do not like these trial memberships that turn into charges later, feels sketchy even though they are quite common.

The site itself is... Old. Very clunky and unclear what is being charged and when. However the customer service is great. When I asked to revert charges I hadn't wanted they didn't hesitate to help me.

Quick and prompt service as well as replies to inquiries. However, I felt charges to my account were occurring that I wasn't aware of. When, I contacted their customer service, they confirmed closing my account from further charges immediately.

Good and quick responses from Agent. Wish I wasn't in that situation in the first place but was resolved quickly. Kimberly was able to get my subscription canceled in less than one minute. The entire interaction was incredibly efficient, straightforward, and clearly focused on resolving the issue as quickly as possible. This is exactly how every customer support chat should operate—fast, effective, and results-driven. Kimberly demonstrated a high level of professionalism and competence, and in my opinion she represents the gold standard for how support representatives should handle customer requests.
That being said, the review system itself is extremely frustrating and poorly designed. It actually makes it harder to leave positive feedback for representatives who truly deserve it. Systems like this end up preventing great employees from receiving the recognition they should be getting for doing an excellent job. If anything, the platform should make it easier—not harder—for customers to leave strong positive reviews for support agents like Kimberly who clearly go above and beyond.

They found the account and fixed the issue in just a minute or two. Kind and fast. Not having to fight to figure things out was such a different experience and very appreciated. I had an issue with a charge and they were able to issue me a refund and close my account quickly so I don't get charges reoccurring over time.

I did a search that I did not recall the details of nor the charges on my CC. I wanted to remove the charge. Public Records had all the details including what I was searching for. The website is a little clunky and outdated. Something a little more user friendly with easier ways of viewing info like folders instead of one long page of data. Customer service through chat was wonderful. Quick and helpful. A++ there. : )

Katherine was the rep. that helped me. She was very nice and informative. She was able to tell me why I was being charged and helped resolve my problem. She closed my account and sent a text message that the account is now closed. She also provided a confirmation number.

I woke up today to find an unauthorized $20 charge. I only used this service once so I was a little distraught, confused, and annoyed. Upon going to the website I was able to click live chat and within a minute Ryan resolved my issue and issued a $20 refund. He was understand and efficient, and even made me feel bad about the way I messaged him. He is truly a great worker and you are all lucky to have him.

Ryan was extremely curious and helpful. Pubic Records in general is awful. I was unwittingly subscribed. I was not aware and did I receive notification. There was no way to cancel other than to open up a chat. It sucks you can't access PR without going through pay wall.

Great and fast service. I wanted to check why I was receiving emails daily, even after I exported a property report I wanted. The customer service person on live chat was very helpful. Matthew, the CSR who handled my inquiry, was amazing. He was very accommodating and responded to my concern quickly. I had to file taxes for my rental property for the first time, and the form required the lot’s assessed value. Since I had recently moved, it would have taken time for me to locate the document that Allen County sent me, so I used the $1 public record service. However, I was later charged an additional $27 for an upgrade and membership that I didn’t need. Fortunately, Matthew understood my situation and promptly helped process my refund. I really appreciate his professionalism and excellent customer service.

The only reason this is not a 5-star review is due to the fact I did not know I was paying for a subscription when I pulled my property report. A disclaimer would go a long way to helping people avoid getting double-dipped.

The Public Records site is accurate and easy to use. The information provided to me was available immediately after payment of the service I selected. I did accidentally sign up for an account with a monthly fee, which was not needed. Contacting them via chat on their website was also very easy, and my issue was immediately resolved, and the extra monthly payment was reimbursed.

I needed a background check to confirm information for my son and it was easy to obtain. It was self explanatory and easy to navigate. Once I needed to cancel my account, it was simple to request. They assisted me with the cancellation without asking me to keep the account. Other sites try to keep you to stay but they did not. I was on the chat for less than 5 minutes.

Service was good overall, and the customer service representatives were professional and helpful when I interacted with them. However, I was disappointed that there is no option to close the account online or through a simple self-service process. Customers should be able to manage their own accounts, including closing them, without having to contact a representative.
Having to call and speak with a customer service agent just to close the account was frustrating and unnecessarily time consuming. The process took longer than it should have and required waiting on the phone, which could easily be avoided if an online account-closure option were available. Providing customers with a straightforward way to close their accounts independently would make the experience much more efficient and customer friendly.

I bought the report because it said it was only $1. Turned out I got charged $9.95 for it a recurring monthly charge. I think the website is misleading. Please have better information on your website on how it works.

I used the website to look up information that I needed. I wasn’t able to find what I was looking for but for a dollar it wasn’t that big of a loss. The next day I noticed that I had an additional charge of 9.95 that I didn’t agree to. Once contacting customer service. They took care of everything for me and had the charge reversed. Charges for unknown subscription started showing up on my credit card. Reached out and support was able to quickly address that and promised a refund of the last charge. I didn't realize that a report was more than the $1 at the time of the pop up along me if I wanted to purchase the report. Then looking at my bank statement it was more than that. Contacted customer service and was refunded for the unexpected amount! Incredible customer service! It went through a bunch of questions with cost amounts which I declined all. So I was not expecting the extra cost. It was refunded, super company!

Per the FAQ, I could have purchased just 1 record for $1. However, I was charged the $1 plus $9.95 (price for 10) and I do not want any other records. Live Chat was prompt and seemingly helpful. Account was easily closed and forwarded to customer service to get mailed a refund, not clear why card couldn’t be refunded. The record itself was not what I was hoping for, but informative nonetheless. I was really getting after property lines and I did not think record was accurate/detailed. Cannot zoom out on the map, so property lines did not encompass the entire property. And looking at adjacent properties, their property lines were clearly mapped out; however for the record I needed, there were no actually lines, just the adjacent properties’ lines.

Publicrecords.us was to provide me with a copy of my mother's death certificate. However, instead they: 1) charged me a $1 but gave me info on wrong person - same name, but different birthdate, despite having entered my mother's date of birth in part of the "required" info; 2) at same time as $1 charge went through, another charge for $9.95 went through for a "subscription"; I contacted publicrecords.us immediately, and they canceled the subscription, but did not give a refund; 3) because they would not accept the primary card I use for the $1 purchase, I had to use a rarely used back-up card; a few days later, fraudulent charges started coming in on this rarely-used card. Coincidence?

I did what I thought was a one dollar, one time search on a single license plate, but found an email charging me seven dollars. I contacted support, and was told that perhaps I had made an account selection without realizing it. I said that indeed I had no intention of setting up an account, and only wanted the one time query. The agent was friendly and very helpful, and refunded the unexpected charges quickly and without question. I also appreciated the fact that whenever there was a wait longer than about a minute, I got a note saying something to the effect of “I’m still here”, or “I’m working on it”. That’s a really good technique to make sure a customer knows they’re still connected.

The report was not as expected. According to the report I received, it stated that the car was still titled by original owner. She passed away 5/24 and through additional research on my own, I found out that the title had transferred from my mother to my niece. The car was to be inherited by me, not my niece. State records indicated that the vehicle was untitled and unregistered. Through PublicRecords.com, the report was very long and didn’t say anything with clarity. I was very disappointed.
On the other hand, the representative I spoke with today to cancel my membership was very professional and explained about the $5 monthly charges. Although minimal, it’s a strain on a tight recent retiree salary. I was uninformed about monthly charges to my credit card. Very disappointed. I expected it was going to be a one time charge for a single report. I will not be using your services again.

I contacted wanting my account deactivated and it was done in under 30 seconds. Great customer service. Prices are crazy and I got charged almost 30 bucks just to get a record I can get for free via Google, but great customer service.

Great and quick customer service. The charges for additional details in records, not so much. It may start at a $1 but it quickly racks up if you need anything else, or even just to get it as a PDF file.

Though I was upset about charges I did not agree or intend to, Anthony was very helpful and prompt on the chat by responding, closing my account and issuing a refund. Will probably not recommend using this site however due to the fact that I kept getting charged for something not agreed to.
