    While researching a house that formerly belonged to one of my ancestors, I stumbled across this site that seemed to offer a more in-depth historical report than I could do myself, including a special report by one of their 'experts'. So I requested a report $9.85, then had to add $7 for pdf, then $9 for 'detailed owner report', then $8 for their 'data expert', and $1 for something unknown. And then I received 2 letters in the mail showing that my report was available at their website: Each time I went to the site, the only thing that I found that I could not find on the web was just details about the owners: age, when they owned the house, some information about them that would be useful to a private investigator.

    As this house looms large in our family lore, with rumors that it was originally built by one of the architects of the Erie Canal, I felt that these one time charges would be worth it, although I didn't like the add-on charges along the way. We didn't get any info that was older than 2006. And then, on top of all of that, it turns out that the original $9.85 is a monthly subscription. While they did reverse the charge when I opened up a chat with them, I must say that it was not readily apparent to me, when requesting my single report, that I would be getting monthly charges.

    I cancelled my order before formally finalizing and it still charged me. What's worse is it also charged me for a bunch of add-ons that I did not authorize, nor was a subscription once ever mentioned. Foremost, the public record I was trying to receive only goes back 7 years although this building and unit have existed since the early 1900's. That is an astronomically obscene expectation for almost no return. This site is a scam.

Biggest problem here is, you pay for one single report and automatically is signed up in their membership without even noticing it, until they keep charging weekly from us.
