The service wasn't able to provide the data I was seeking, and I thought it was less robust than I had hoped, in terms of its searching capabilities. However the cost was low, and when I asked to have my account deleted the customer service rep. (Barbara) was awesome and took care of my request literally within a minute. That was nice. It's possible that maybe the data I was looking for just wasn't very visible within available public records, so maybe my expectations were off-base. Not sure.

Richard did a great job in helping me understand why I was being charged $20 twice a month since last July. I suspect that there was fine print at some point that I didn't understand. Since I didn't use the system since last July, and since I don't even remember establishing an account, he issued me a refund. With the star system above, I would give Richard five stars, but I wouldn't recommend Publicrecords.us to anyone. Many thanks.

Customer service today was fine but getting to where I had to cancel. This has been the most painful thing ever. I couldn't reach the website. There's no place to cancel it on the website. I finally had to do live chat. I've tried for 3 months and finally just got it done today. But today's service was excellent.

The data is clear and well organized. The navigation is simple and easy. The way that you are charged is confusing. I didn’t know I was going to be charged biweekly and ended up getting charged more and more for. I ended up paying for 4 months of services when I only looked up one record.

CSR made my request easy and seamless. Very easy cancellation and refund for surprise charges. Did not try to sell me anything or push back on the claims. Will use service again if needed. For some reason though your review program doesn’t like that I’m not writing an essay because my time isn’t valuable and my true words apparently aren’t either. So I’m adding fluff so that the people who would rather an AI robot filter for the responses they want and not my actual thoughts can be satisfied.

EXTREMELY misleading website. I paid $9.95 and it was my understanding that I had access to over 200 records for two years. I was charged $9.95 again 16 days later. When I got on the chat, I was told by the agent that I may have "accidentally" signed up for their bundle or something? Absolutely not. There is nothing on the website or my emails that states I would be charged 9.95 every 16 days.

I asked for help closing my account with David from Customer Support and he immediately closed my account. I also asked for help receiving a refund and that issue was resolved in less than a minute. Fast, reliable, and a great website for gathering information on old records. I used this website for help on finding previous owners of the house I currently live in. I was able to find them in less than 10 minutes.

There is a lot of information on this site. Although when first signing up you have to be really careful. I tried getting 1 report and some how was enroll in the monthly report package after selecting no. The site is not user friendly and I could not figure out how to get on and cancel the monthly report package. I had to use the chat for help. I had Debra. She was quick and very helpful and helped me with all of my needs. 1 star deduction for the automatic enrollment and lack of being able to remedy it myself before another charge.

I was charged $9.95 twice in 2 weeks and there is no way to cancel online. There was no mention this was going to happen. I had to contact support to cancel. Russel, that I chatted with, was able to remove future charges, but this whole thing felt like a scam.

I received good customer service when I requested a refund for the recurring charge and to end the recurring charges, but it was also very sneaky of them for having the recurring charges in the first place. I didn't see anything about recurring charges when I purchased 1 report (which didn't actually have the information I was looking for anyway), maybe it was in the fine print, either way, very sneaky and not cool.

I needed one record for $1, I somehow signed up for a records package, I really gotta read the fine print lol! I saw that I was being charged $5 a month. I then contacted customer support, they got it canceled for me, no questions asked whatsoever. That's how I like it, if I want to cancel I don't want to have to go into why blaa blaa blaa. They attached a conformation number just in case! All in less than 5 minutes! Thank you!

When trying to pull records the website explains there's a fee of $1 today, $10 every 15 days starting today. There is no option for a one-time payment and it's worded in a way that you don't realize you're being placed on a recurring payment. I also noticed that the website uses .us in its domain name instead of .gov. It is not a government run website although they're trying to get you to think it is. To me the obscure payment method and the obscure domain name for the website is is too close to a scam for me to trust the website and I left the website before making a payment. There's too many red flags on this website for me to trust it and I recommend that no one else uses it either.

Excellent help today answering my question about a recurring charge and representative suggested a solution that I am happy with. I sought a property report, and I noticed a recurring charge on my credit card. I asked if the rep could see if there was a possibility of further charges. A lot of the information in the report was incorrect. A recurring monthly charge of $5 happens and I didn't knowingly sign up for that. Canceling was easy through the site chat but this needs to be more clear to users.

Using this site to pull information on a vehicle I was interested in purchasing was a breeze and the information provided was surprisingly VERY detailed for just being basic public info. However, there was a catch I wasn't aware of when putting in payment info so found out later I was being billed incorrectly. Interacted with Steven from the chat option of Publicrecords.Us and requested information on the recurring charge I was experiencing. I was frustrated because I had no documentation from the company about this charge nor confirmation emails or receipts that I had ever signed up for this fee. Steven helped me by providing documentation and refunding the fees. I will say I am still upset that the company was charging me and I didn't even have a monthly email receipt of these charges. The terms and conditions of the company site does not address this recurring charge at all. Steven was helpful but the company needs to be more transparent. Boy! I must have really been asleep when I went to your website. First, I was surprised to see two charges at the same time, each at $9.XX. Then more surprised to see another one on my credit card today. I didn't know why I got charged the first two equaling 18.??. Plus a $1.00 charge. The company kept charging my card after my one-time use of their site. Their charges were monthly at $5, then started to become twice/month for $20 each time. I called to request a refund and the representative was unprofessional to a great degree. He did refund, but not without my pushback for ALL previous charges, and he was not going to email the refund receipts until I demanded it. He continued to cut me off and push financial advice onto me about “checking my account more often with a fine tooth comb so it doesn’t affect business like this”. Terrible customer service, but supposedly will get the refunds within 3-5 days.

I was able to find all the information I was looking for, and then when I needed help with my account, I was quickly able to be helped to get the issue fixed. I was on the search for information that I couldn't find anywhere else, but I was quickly able to find it here. I used this service to look something up. I was charged $10.95 for a one time search. I thought I had inadvertently purchased a membership. I did a live chat to make sure. Their customer service is excellent and very fast. I wish everyone's customer service was this fast. They told me exactly what I needed to know.

I used this for a single search but it seems they charged me for a bundle. I chatted with them to get that reversed and refunded and they did so quickly. I was not expecting to have ongoing charges but the Chat function worked well for me.

I requested one record in October the website said the first record cost $1. It was easy to access and helpful to me. Today, months later I discovered I’ve been charged $20 a month for a subscription since my first dealing with Publicrecords.us. I have no need for ongoing records and am very careful about what I subscribe to. No way I approved an ongoing subscription. I contacted my credit card company immediately and filed dispute. Afterwards I looked up my records from October last year and reached out to company directly. Like other reviewers, the company immediately said they’d issue a full credit except for an initial $15 charge that they’d have to return with a paper check??? The speedy response was good, perhaps they realized they had/have dishonest employees, but they did not explain how I was subscribed initially.

Using the chat function, Ryan was able to resolve my issue immediately and effectively. I erroneously signed up for a subscription package, Ryan refunded the payment and cancelled the subscription straight away.

I utilized Public Records searching for information on a person. The information was very helpful. I submitted my credit card information to pay for the service provided by Public Records. My credit card was charged for the stated amount. Two months month later I noticed a charge on my credit card from Public Records. So after looking back I saw that it had happened in the previous month as well. So I contacted Public Records and via the live chat option. Paul was extremely helpful in resolving it. He canceled any further charges from happening and also refunded me for the 2 charges that were on my credit card.

Please do not use Publicrecords.us. The site states $5.00 for a public records but they continue to charge your card $5.00 every 2 weeks. Publicrecords.us is a scam site. Do not use this site or give them your card info!!!

Several Charges appeared as an alert on my phone. Also, I did not realize this was a subscription service. The rep assured me that two of the charges were declined and I was only charged $9.95 and the $1.00 access, which I was totally fine with. So Peter closed the account and assured me no further charges would appear. I was very happy with his speed and knowledge of my confusion.

Good information, current and accurate. The information led us to find our cousin, who had died but we had no notification, so it actually confirmed our worst fears. But the information was accurate.
