The information I was looking to retrieve was inaccurate. But the chat assistant helped me easily and quickly to close my account. And then also offered me a refund for the account fee but not the report fee. I was happy to get anything refunded (if in fact, I receive the refund).

I thought the billing was confusing when signing up for this, but it was easy to cancel when I logged in. I didn't realize there would even be another charge until I went to my bank account. I thought it was a one-time charge when I signed up.

Easy to unsubscribe using online chat. I didn’t realize I was being charged $5 a month after initial payment. I was unaware there would be a monthly fee after my initial purchase. Otherwise it was a great service.

The customer service rep was quick to identify the problem and help me fix it. I was getting random charges to my bank account that I didn't remember authorizing, so I asked about it. Turns out it was normal and the rep asked if I wanted to have my account closed so I didn't get charged more and I said yes. There's not too much else I can say except, "wow! Thanks for everything!"

I had a few concerns, but the customer service rep assisted me and was very informative. I did know how this process worked. How much the fees where and how there are additional charges if you choose PDF. I am aware now and was charged. It's not just the $1 fee then it goes to $7, the additional $9. :/

Somehow a one time record search turned into a subscription. I did a live chat on the website and the person quickly canceled my subscription. Although I was not happy about the subscription, the person in the live chat made the cancellation process very easy.

I needed to cancel the account it was no longer needed. The agent canceled the account and issues a refund. Will have to wait 3-5 days for refund but received notice via text the account was closed and refund issued after requesting from agent. Donna was great via the chat service.

The chat assistant quickly located my account (which had a mis-spelling), canceled my account and refunded me the charge for the additional month I did not sign up for intentionally. Five star for them. I remember leaving the request for information and payment being very confusing and led to me signing up for a service rather than one time charge. Please correct this. I paid $1 for a report back in January 2026 and have been billed $20-$40 a month since then. I finally found out who was charging me and called them. They closed the account and refunded my last payment. She explained that by paying the $1 “deposit”, I enrolled myself into a subscription plan. I don’t recall ever reading anything about a subscription plan. This is nothing short of a scam they’re running.

I appreciate the help I received from Samantha in the chat. What I didn't understand was the fee charges. That part is so confusing!!! I only wanted a one time access to view my vehicle history. When I chatted with Samantha, I asked if they were a real person, which they replied that they were. I was most grateful for a real person behind the words. Samantha understood my question and issue. I did not expect to be charged more than the $1.00 fee. She understood and processed a refund for everything. I paid the $1 for the report I needed, and unbeknownst to me I was signed up to be automatically charged $9.95/WEEK! This should be made clear and should also contain an easy to find "opt-out" option. Frustrating to say the least.

I opened Livechat after logging in and was immediately connected to a real agent NOT a ai like most companies. This person immediately understood and solved my problem without any hassle ! After figuring out I was being charged monthly, I only used one day. The service person helped me get a refund. She was kind and considerate. The Public Records.us company needs to have a one-day option so this type of overcharging doesn't happen. This company hides a subscription service behind a low one-time payment on their website. They charge twice a month and were not able to refund me all the money for the subscription. They need to fix their website so that they don't trick you into signing up for something else.

Came here looking for court records. Searched specifically for court records. Didn't really find what I needed. Site is a little misleading saying you can purchase for $1, but it ends up being closer to $10. After I got what I needed, spoke to Ashley in Customer Support via the live chat to make sure I'm not billed again. She cancelled my account without any pestering. It was easy to work with her. I wish the site was more transparent, but the support was great! Would also wish I could preview available reports before paying.

Very much dislike that I so easily accidentally subscribed to something. They were charging me monthly for some plan. For that reason, I would give them one star, but I did give them an additional star because the information report was helpful, and then another star because they were very helpful in getting that money refunded. BEWARE! I saw an ad for $1 property reports, so I clicked the link to get a report on my newly purchased property. The report was very basic, but interesting. I chose not to pay extra for other services. However, in addition to the $1 charge, there was an additional charge of $9.95. There is no email or contact information, but the site did offer a live chat feature. They were able to close my account to prevent any further charges, but did not reverse the $9.95 charge.

Public Records is outdated and just gathers online information. Biggest problem here is, you pay for one single report and automatically is signed up in their membership without even noticing it, until they keep charging weekly from us. At least the cancellation is easily done by the chat option. Most definitely not worth it, though.

This system was very easy to use and get information I needed. However, with that being said, the initial search for what I needed was very confusing, and being charged 5 different times for things would suggest as such. Being charged 9.95 for an ongoing monthly account, when I didn’t know that I was, was very sneaky as well. I would not have agreed to that. I needed one report.

I engaged your service to review public records about myself and spouse. The $1 nominal charge was very reasonable, I thought, until time to authorize the charge at which point the screen told my that I would be charged on a monthly basis. Also, I was offered to have the report sent in .pdf for an additional $7 which was a little surprising as I had assumed a report would be emailed to me. I decided, what the heck, it's only $7 and a careful reading of the invoice told me I could cancel my account at any time. The program then informed me that my credit card had been declined by my bank. My bank sent me an IM fraud alert. This immediately raised my suspicions as to the legitimacy of the website. I told my bank I had authorize the $1 and $7 charge.
This morning while reviewing my bank account I see there were 2 charges from PublicRecords.us, One for $1 and the other for $9.50, not $7 as was advertised. I started a chat with 'Samantha' who was very nice and agreed to cancel my account. Upon receiving the email notification that my report was ready this morning, I had a very difficult time in opening the .pdf. Additionally, once open, I found the information in it was erroneous on several particulars. All in all the experience required much more effort and was not as transparent or user friendly as I was expecting.

Customer service through the live chat was amazing! … That was a follow up from a customer service phone call. The original call only accomplished fixing half of the problem. Thus the further contact through your live chat. None of the charges should’ve been on my account, to begin with. Totally blindsided me, because I only authorized a $1 charge back on the 8th of January… so I thought… maybe when you’re billing someone once or twice a month? With an increased amount of the charge? Send the customers a statement! It’s pretty simple practice, no? That would avoid all of the monthly subscription disputes that your consumers Have NO IDEA that they’ve signed up for! I’m thankful that crediting my account was not a bigger issue…

Be VERY careful to using this service. They sneakily sign you up to a monthly plan you don't realize until you get billed over and over on your credit card. So like others, the $7 property report became much more expensive. They don't email you any kind of confirmation of a monthly plan sign up. I thought I read super carefully, but I must be that mid-intelligent person they are trying to hook for a quick buck. Also, the information didn't contain a monthly rental assessment as I was led to believe. No order number or identifying number on the receipt either.

Read the other reviews about not realizing they signed up for subscriptions. My experience also. Except I do a lot of work on the internet and I'm pretty careful about stuff like that. This company is a soft scam. They provide a service that is arguably worth the initial cost, but they obfuscate and then follow up with "good" customer service after months of unwanted charges are caught. Don't fall for it, or if you must use them, check your bank records for the months that follow.

I sent in an inquiry and received full report after making payment with my credit card. I did not realize I was signing up for a monthly service, which I did not need. Was not aware of the reoccurring financial relationship initialized by the platform's use, but was quickly resolved despite my intermittent connection to the world. Information is aggregated from many sources, and has refinement opportunities to most appropriately feed autoagents some day with a lot more work if that's the goal. Terrible hallucinations incorporated by corrupt institutional contributors make it a terrible idea for production. It's important to remember no cop ever inputs the people's reaction reports to their slick attempts to target, attack, and extract resources from them as the criminal organization they've always been to day.
