Great rep. Kept trying till I got the help I needed. We went through a bunch of emails and other sources till we found the correct one.

While the customer service rep on chat was prompt and refunded my money instantly, I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS. I bought a one time records search, nowhere did it say "this is a recurring monthly charge" like WTF. Who cares how good the support is if it's just to get out of trouble for taking my money every month?

I signed up for access to PublicRecords when researching my parents' legal marital status. I wasn't aware there would be a recurring monthly charge rather than a one-time charge for a specific purpose. Virginia in customer support accepted my chat request and cancelled my account for me. She provided a smooth and easy customer support experience, which is greatly appreciated!

Very efficient and easy to navigate. I received an immediate response and my issue was resolved.

I used PublicRecords and paid one time. Later, I received a second charge that I believe to be erroneous. I contact PublicRecords prior to my bank, hoping that I wouldn't need to escalate. Kevin immediately corrected the charge and closed the account to prevent further charges. I'll use PublicRecords in the future if needed.

I found using this website to inquire about a used car very helpful. I was able to see the multiple times the vehicle had been sold, and where/when it was sold. I was also able to track the VIN#. It was fast getting the information, and the customer service agent Jerry was very helpful.

Report was through, interesting and insightful. They charge a monthly subscription fee plus fees for every search. Ok if you're reviewing multiple properties, but cancel the subscription after your done or you'll get charge monthly. Staff was very helpful canceling the subscription and I had no issues canceling. A 4 star rating because the site does what it is supposed to do and I'm happy with the result. Not sure if there was anything extra.

I utilized the Public Records Search to search one property record in April of 2026. The report was thorough and accurate. In July, I noticed that I was being charged monthly. There was no indication during the initial set up that I would continue to be billed. I logged onto the site in July to find out what was going on, and there was no place to cancel or look more closely at my account record. I initiated a live chat. The rep, Ryan, was quick to review my account and issue a refund for the recurring charges and close my account. I appreciated the quick resolution, but was disappointed in the practice of recurring charges without clear opting in.

Customer service was good, but I got charge again without it notifying me it was a continuous service. It originally looked like a $7 fee but then was charged $31. The explanation of fees is not clear and how the service works is poor.

My experience today was fine but I have been charged $10 a month for the last several months without my knowledge which I don’t appreciate. The website does not show this or show how to prevent this which is ridiculous.

I requested documents and they were never sent. Customer service told me to search again or they would enter the request and I had to wait up to a day for results and they were not sure about me getting those results even though I had paid. I had to ask at least 3 times for a refund. I was promised it would come in 3 days. Your website kept looping me to do my search over.

Richard quickly refunded the amount that I did not authorize to be charged. No questions or issues. He immediately refunded it, and I have no reason not to believe that I’ll receive a full refund in 3-5 days. It was upsetting to be notified of two separate charges in the amount of $7.00 (Authorized) and $31.00 (Not Authorized), but I do appreciate that Richard refunded the $31.00 amount with no issues.

I ordered a report. It stated the report was $1.00 for text to phone. I declined the 7.00 PDF report. I was charged $31.00. I immediately contacted customer service who closed my account and resolved the issue. If you use this service confirm the costs first. Mary was great.

I expected a single-use search, which was presented as a $1 cost. As I was completing the transaction, I was told it would be a $30/month charge, so the first charge was $31. After completing the transaction I was told I needed a $7 pdf payment. So my $1 expectation became a $38 expense for information that is available for free for other counties. So I wished to cancel my subscription, there was no obvious way to do that - but there was a chat available and that chat agent solved my need immediately. Good service from the chat agent.

The services were extremely simple. It was a bit confusing trying to stop future charges. I reached out via the Live Chat, and it was super simple, and Frank was very helpful in closing out my account! I very much appreciate how simple everything was.

I checked to confirm that the site was legitimate however was charged an amount that was not agreed to. Originally had agreed to the $1 one-time access charge, then got to the point of paying, and they changed the charge to $7 for some reason. I reached out to their customer service on their website, and they stated, "The charge is for our report package... I apologize if this was not what you wanted..." and they offered to close my account to prevent another charge. I never agreed to the "report package" and would not have knowingly paid $38.

I contacted customer support to cancel my membership and request a refund. Richard responded quickly, canceled my account immediately, processed my refund, and sent a confirmation. The whole process was fast, professional, and easy. Thank you for the excellent customer service!

Well, after payment was processed I was informed that the request was not available. Reimbursement was easy to receive via the chat option. I thought I might have to fight to get the money back, but it was totally the opposite.

Wouldn't recommend the website, but Nora helped me close my account! I was expecting some runaround to get me to not cancel, but she was FAST! She asked what I needed was and straight to the point, which I really appreciated! Experience with Nora was 5 stars; experience with the website was 1 star because they kept taking 20 bucks for my reports, even though I just needed it the one time. Having a subscription service for public records is insane to me.

Signed in to get birth and death dates for some relatives. Charge is $1.00 to get in but have to pay $30 for access to the search results. Can continue using it for a month, and will autocharge monthly until you close the account. Spoke to Virginia on the Chat Live Line and asked how to discontinue further charges. She closed the account for me after getting my permission. It went well but I couldn't get a date for someone who died in 1982, so not sure how far back the records go. An overall good experience but didn't like having to pay so much.

I was unexpectedly charged over $30 for a package that I never intentionally signed up for. My only goal was to purchase a single report for one home, so I was surprised to see I had been enrolled in something additional without realizing it. Thankfully, Nancy responded very quickly, was professional, and immediately processed my refund without any hassle. While I appreciate the excellent customer service she provided, I do think the sign-up process should be much clearer so customers don't accidentally purchase a subscription or package when they only intend to buy a one-time report.

It was easy to cancel my membership and the information I received was helpful. However, I was not aware I would receive a monthly charge for a one time report. Pay attention and cancel it when you’re done. Canceling my monthly charge was easy and Thomas made it simple.

I came to cancel my subscription, no longer in need of Public Records for now until I return at a later time. Customer Support Member Kimberly was fast, professional, and efficient. I only needed to say I wanted to cancel, and her next reply was that it was done. Most places ask for information, make you jump through hoops, and try tricks to keep you paying. Kim did none of these corrupt business practices and immediately produced the desired deliverable. I am impressed and will remember and speak to others highly of such quality.

I had no problem with customer service, but the fact that the refund was so immediate, tells me this happens a lot. I never approved a charge of $30 on my account, and last time they added a 9.95/mo. Charge I did not approve. Took me 3 most. To figure that out. Checkout practices with this site are predatory.

I ordered from them twice to be sure lien from an unscrupulous contractor was not filed before listing a property for sale. The report they provided did not show the lien was in fact filed in November -- the reports were ordered in November and the following April. Do not use them, the information is not reliable.

I had signed up for this service to pull (1) record. Thinking I had closed the account, it was left active for over a year. Recently, I discovered this and called in. Kayla answered and provided the best customer service I have ever received. After a quick verification, she emailed me the account sign on, then was able to close the account, all within a couple minutes. When the topic of refund came up, she was able to process in less than 5 minutes. This was a situation that had caused anxiety prior to the call, but after speaking with Kayla, she made sure I was back to 100%. Anytime I need to check a public record, this will be the resource that I utilize.

I did not understand that there would be a cost more than the dollar first mentioned when I was looing for a record for a divorce for my son. I'm one of these old people not wired for all this tech stuff so my granddaughter tells me. Susan was my 'chatter". She helped me within 5 minutes of chatting. It was great.

The agent I spoke to listened and helped, however I glenned zero usable information about the person in question to begin with. The two fees I approved were both explained and didn’t surprise me. And I agreed to them. But there was another that was not disclosed and I was refunded that one.

Your website tricked me and charged me $31 instead of $1 like it said. Good thing I checked my bank account, because it showed you were going to make it a recurring charge of $31. Needed info on a tow truck plate. Spent the 7 dollars they wanted. They then added a 31 dollar charge. They refunded the 31 dollars. But it should never have been charged. Watch your billing to see if they hit you up with extra charges.

Found and received the information I was looking for easily. The only change I’d make to the website would be to have a “cancel subscription” button. In order to cancel the subscription you need to chat with the company. But they are very polite and will cancel the subscription without any questions.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience with this company! Not only were the records pulled for what I was searching for but also I was incorrectly charged for a subscription I hadn’t agreed to. You would think this would make me upset, but I just reached out to the company expressing what happened and with no haggle they refunded me the amount that was charged. What an excellent business, I’m very happy with the experience!

One comment I would like to make is that when you use PublicRecords it is totally not clear that when you order one report you will be then charge a monthly fee. This should be more transparent. Also the reports are very generic with not much information.

I took issue with the monthly charge when I was only looking for the one dollar one public record, but calling in wasn’t an option in this situation so I used to chat the representative. Amanda was very quick and looking up the account and providing me with a credit and canceling my account.

About 75 percent complete. But the billing Information was a lie and a con. It stated. Used the second card and they fraudulently cost was $1 for the requested information. But they tried to scam $36 on the first attempt that my one bank caught. That bank stopped it. But before I knew it. I tried a second d card that went through and they scammed $36 from me through my credit union. This is false bill that they fail to notify and I come to find out that they enrolled me in a monthly plan. I have notified the credit union to cease and desist any future payment to this company that is nothing but a con job. I will be notifying Pennsylvania consumer affairs about these crooks and let them deal with it. Meanwhile I do not recommend this company.
