Helping me close my account with no further charges!

I was on chat to cancel my subscription to PublicRecordsData.us. George immediately canceled my account and graciously refunded the most recent $35 dollar charge. Very seamless encounter.

Thomas was very helpful.. However I am very misled by the information to receive reports. I was initially under the impression that I would be charged $1.. To my surprise I was charged $36... And I clicked no to any additional things from the site. Thankfully I reached out to Thomas and he was able to refund me. It should be laid out in much simpler wording that you will be charged x amount.. Very disappointing.. Typical government site.

I spent a while waiting for a bogus report that contained none of the information I asked. I specifically asked to find a person from Canton, Ohio and not one record provided mentioned Ohio. I lost a buck, not big deal. But this outfit is not reliable. They should have just fessed up. They couldn't help me.

I contacted Rebecca in regards to unauthorized charges. I explained that when I authorized a one time charge, I was actually subscribing to your services and that the monthly charges were not required and/or needed as I don't use the service. She was very prompt in not only reimbursing me for the current month's charge, but also for the previous charge, which was inadvertently processed. She went above and beyond what I expected from your company.

I ordered a report and was charged much more than what I understood from the website. I contacted customer service and they responded right away and are issuing me a refund. Great service.

The site is misleading. There's nothing that talks about a package 24$. They need to be more clear because you only see things that you want $9 one time for whatever and then, "Do you want $4," and you just say, "No, thank you," and so by the time you get to the end it should only be a dollar but they're saying that there was something there for $24. I just wanted a one time report.

While I think it’s kinda shady to tell someone they’d be charged $1 the hit them with a $36 charge, but Timothy was very helpful and prompt.

I was having some trouble with a charge I seen on my account. I talked to someone, she who said the account was now closed. However the charge was some report package price. I was not happy. That is not what I was signing up for. I asked for a manager. Katherine reached out explained the same information and handled it accordingly. I appreciate her time and I am happy with the outcome.

Your site is misleading, you claim to get a report for $1.00 but then get charged $36.00 for 840 reports. You should have an option to choose for one or multiple. Amy however was wonderful to work with on the live chat, and was able to cancel/close my account and offered a refund as I was not looking for 840 reports. Kudos to Amy for her excellent customer service and hearing what I wanted.

Wanted to cancel my subscription. Didn’t wanna be charged for a reoccurring fee. They reversed the fee and close the account quick and easy.

I found the information I needed and it said the report was $1. When I was looking at my bank account for something else I realized they had charged me $36. I chatted with someone from customer service who said this was “part of the report package.” I requested a refund and my account cancelled. I hope to actually get that refund and see no further charges from this website. I don’t like when fees are not clearly indicated and so hidden.

I did a search where it asked for authorization for a fee of $1. I guess in the form itself must have been a check off for the whole site fee of $36 and I did not notice that so I got an unexpected charge of $36. I went to their live chat and they were very prompt. They explained the site fee for a full search and offered a refund. The site was very efficient in resolving my issue of an unauthorized charge. It was promptly refunded.

Nowhere on the website said I would be charged $36. When I was checking out, it had said records would be for only $1. I emailed them three separate times now and still no response. At this rate, I will dispute with my bank if I do not hear back!

I have no idea how I was charged $30 when I bought one report and was charged $7.00 that day. But sure enough, a charge showed up a month later. I was very worried that I had signed up for a scam website and immediately reached out to Steve on their Live Chat. He told me it was part of the package, and would cancel my account to avoid any more charges. I told him I hadn't signed up for it, so could he please refund it as well? He did. Hasn't hit yet, but he sent me a confirmation letter and all. I guess be careful when you make purchases, in case I accidentally signed up for something. But they seem like a good company! I wasn't told that the "report package" would be $36, I was told it would be $1. It overdrafted my bank account with the charge so I contacted customer service, explained this, and received a refund. My customer service person was Ronald, and he was very helpful with minimal. In terms of my report that I received, some of the information was incorrect. Absolutely not worth that money.

I ordered a $1.00, 1 time record and was charged $36.00. I closed my account and contacted Customer Service, and they refunded (allegedly) $36.00. If they don't refund, I will dispute the charge with my credit card company.
