I used your service 18 months ago to search for records on one person. Today, almost by accident, I was on my credit card website when a monthly charge of $20 appeared from Courtrec.com. It was only then that I realized I was being charged for a service I wasn’t using. I contacted you via the chat on your website and connected with Peter. At first I assumed he was an AI bot, but after I asked, he replied he was human. I tend to believe what people tell me, so I accepted his response. When I requested refunds for the $20 charges I had unknowingly paid for 17 months, Peter was able to post 8 of them. He then said he’d elevated it to the finance dept that would attempt to refund the remaining 11 payments. He also asked for my mailing address in case they weren’t able to finish the refunds and would then mail me a check. I greatly appreciated his help in this situation.

I recently ran into an issue with unexpected recurring monthly charges from CourtRec.com after what I thought was a one-time $1 report purchase. I reached out to their customer support through live chat (and also had the phone number 1-877-524-7143 ready). The wait time was minimal — I was connected to a representative within a minute or two. The agent was professional, quickly pulled up my account using just my email address, clearly explained that I had been enrolled in one of their multi-report subscription packages ($30/month), and immediately canceled the recurring billing.

Hello, I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the excellent customer service I recently received. The representative I chatted with was extremely helpful, professional, and informative throughout our conversation. She took the time to answer my questions clearly and made sure I understood the process. Most importantly, when I requested to cancel my subscription, she handled the request promptly and without hesitation.

I realized I was getting a recurring bill from CourtRec.com and that though I had thought I had only signed up for one time use, I was subscribed. It’s one of those things that slipped by for months and months and months without me really noticing. Finally I did notice and became upset and I got on the messenger and whoever helped me not only refunded and canceled for me, but refunded all the months in which I used none of the service. I know you guys don’t have to do that, but I do think it is a smart move and is kind and it is the right thing to do and moral and just thank you and maybe consider not capturing subscribers when it’s a one time use.

I didn’t know I was going to be charge 30.00. So I had to cancelled this immediately. Hoping I will get a refund. This was response was quick and I appreciate it.

When I contacted customer service about you taking money out of my account without my authorization, you got right on top of it and closed my account and refunded me the money, and future reference you need to be specific and precise about money taken out every month because my understanding it was a one time fee.

I searched online to do a background check, and Courtrec.com came up. When I went to the site to do a search it showed it would cost $1.00. I received a charge of $31.00 on my credit card. I did not see this while I was on the web-site. I believe they are deceptive and do not recommend using this service

Site start with charge of 1.00 then keeps wanting more money to get records. After charges of 38.00, I was given a report on the wrong person from the wrong state. A rip-off in my opinion. Now I hope I have stopped recurring charges that you are locked into and must stop. I have asked for a reimbursement of my money and charges stopped; we will see.
