Service provided a lot of information. It was confusing what I was buying. It said it cost $1 for the report but you could get a membership for $31 a month. (Too much). I would rather pay as I go. I received a charge for the $31. I got with the chat service and they promptly refunded the charge after I told them about confusion and asked for the refund. Unfortunately the info I got was a lot of nothing, not even close to what was looking for.

I used the service 1x as I needed access to public records. Unbeknown to me the 1x time service became a long and tedious membership I did not chose and after several months I was able to cancel. Once I got hold of the customer support they were very helpful and responsive. I was issued a refund however not enough to cover the expenses.

This is a scam and this is how it works. You sign in to get a court rec and you are auto enrolled into a subscription that is very counter intuitive. Many months later you realize you have been paying court rec 20 a money over a long period of time for something you only used once. Many people especially older or feeble people miss this altogether so they never complain or find the problem. Those of us who do complain get our money back immediately because the company knows it's doing wrong and still want to operate the shady operation so they pay when caught and continue to scam! Don't give them 5 stars if they paid you your own money back when caught stealing it!!!

So the person who helped me cancel my membership did a fantastic job. She was professional and curious she also tackled the problem quickly and refunding my account. After she refund my account she asked if there was anything else I needed help with. I feel like I could have brought her/him a complex math problem and they would have been happy to help. These are the type of employees every business wants as their head of customer service.

I informed the agent that I cancelled my sub and was still being charged. He fixed the issue splendidly! If he was the one running the show, I would suggest this company to other people. The fact that I cancelled my sub and was still being charged was the problem. Overall, it was easy & quick, and they helped with everything. I am just waiting on my refund to say my experience was 100%….without my refund, I would rate my experience a 60%. Everyone that I interacted with answered all my questions and helped me out in canceling my subscription. When I get my refund as promised, I would say my experience was 100%.

Good thing to use. The customer service was great. Would use again. It showed everything that I needed to see. Very useful tool to have. Everyone check it out. Everything you need to find out a background on somebody is all at your finger tips. It don’t give out personal information on the persons. It only gives court records and criminal history. Very useful tool.

I received a very quick response when I went and use the chat feature. Life chats are so much better than BOT chats. Be aware that the $1.00 initial fee will translate into a $20/month charge. Once this is realized, don't depend on the business to cancel your account when you respond to the notice; it ignored my email request after the first billing. I acknowledge I did not read the fine print, so that's my fault, and the 1st charge is the cost my gullibility. But the 2nd charge is brazen. You need to contact the business and get a cancellation receipt number. My advice would be to save that number as the entire business model is deceptive.

I had a frustrating experience overall due to being charged multiple times for records I ultimately didn’t even need, which was very disappointing. However, I do want to give credit where it’s due — the live chat representative I spoke with was extremely expedient, professional, and helpful in resolving the issue. My refund was processed immediately without any hassle. While I wish the billing problems had never happened in the first place, I appreciate the prompt customer service and quick resolution, which is why I’m giving 3 stars.

I was just testing this out. Site contains pretty straight to the point info and records that you can access quickly. More details than some other sites. Just watch out for the payment setup if you don't intend on having recurring charges. Easy to request services and also easy to cancel.

When I first used this service, it was for a one-time need. I did not realize I would be charged a monthly fee of $20, so I am not happy about that. User interface in the site is abysmal. Trying to use it from a smartphone is annoying and clunky. If you start a chat, the chat notification blocks the logout button. There's no clear way to close an account.

They did cancel it when I contacted them and refunded me the last charge of $20. I would recommend the site, but with the warning to cancel if you don't want an on going sunscription.

I purchased this service over a month ago to do a background check on somebody. Shortly after I thought I canceled my account and subscription, but I was mistaken. I was then charged again so I contacted Customer Service and explained the mishap. So within 5 minutes they handled it and fixed my issue. I got my refund and the account was closed. It was a simple process to sign up and the information was complete. However, I do wish it was easier to close an account through the website instead of having to go through customer service. Kevin was very helpful! I was told on your site that I was paying $1. Kevin told me I had been charged $20! He issues a refund very promptly at my request. Please change your site to be more honest. Repeatedly charged $20.00 every two weeks since Jan 2026, attempted to close account several times since the multiple charges started. There have also been several $5.00 and a $7.00 charge. To date, fraudulent charges are at $168.00; and reimbursed one of the $20.00 charges. Contacted my bank about the fraudulent charges in January, they declined to wipe the charges or pursue it further at that time.
This time I have better proof for the bank with the chat agent saying (per chat transcript) the fee was only $20.00; they have totally ignored the fact there were multiple charges, which I mentioned a couple times in the chat session. I'm taking that, with several reviews mentioning bi-monthly charges to the BBB (Better Business Bureau), then my bank today. I could not find any physical address but will do a search on who owns the website. Courtrec.com and courtrec.net have the same customer service phone number.

An elderly friend of mine asked for my help in getting a copy of the police report for an automobile accident in which she had been involved. I was simply trying to help her, and I was quite certain that I had accessed the Bexar County TX records office where her record would have been maintained. I'm usually very careful to avoid scams, but somehow I guess I ended up on your site.
In my opinion, you scammed me in two ways: (1) You led me to believe that I had accessed Bexar County, and (2) you tricked me into signing up for an open account of some sort. I appreciate that you have closed that account and agreed to refund the 2nd charge of $9.95 for a report package; but, I paid you for 3 charges on March 27th ($1.00, $7.00, and $9.95), and still failed to provide the report I was trying to find. I realized that I was not dealing with Bexar County only after you sent me a worthless report about my friend... a report that didn't even mention the traffic accident she had been involved in.

My understanding when purchasing the report was $1.00 would be charged to my credit credit. I was not aware that I would be charged $9.95 for a package and $7.00 for a PDF was not clear as I would have not purchased it. What I do like about the experience is that I was able to communicate to customer support- Ryan in a live chat and he explained my charges and my account was closed immediately upon my request.

My experience with CourtRec.com is different than other folks. They may be a legitimate business but I feel like I have been scammed. I used it once for supposedly a dollar and have been charged $9.95 again and again even after cancelling my account. Multiple times per month! They charged me yet again today, hence the review. I would not recommend that you use this company unless you like never-ending charges on your credit card.

The representative was wonderful and did a great job. I very much appreciate it. I don’t always have the greatest experiences with other companies. This this experience was very much appreciated and very out of the ordinary when it comes to customer service.

Straight scam. Did only a background check. Took 31$ out of my bank account daily for 4 days thinking it wouldn't be noticed. Do not use. Does not give any court records. Just a very limited background check.
