Your internet service is horrible. Continually buffers especially on webcasts. Hughes Net was advertised to me as the a very good and reliable service. In reality it is the worst internet I've ever used. I can get Wifi all over the country but not in my own home. I've talked to technicians on the phone and even had one sent to my home and still the same results. I want this problem fixed or I want out of the service agreement. Let me know something ASAP!

I had over $30 increase on my bill statement this month. I called to find out why. I was told that normally an increase in anyone's bill means a credit has run out so I asked about the credit but, he was unable to tell me about it because he was working from his home and did not have access to that type of information, I also told him that I just returned from Florida and brought with me my new laptop and when I went to connect it to Hughesnet it comes back with not a good password & out of range so I tried the password under your unit instead of the password that we assigned and it still reads out of range. So I took my computer into the office which is less than 15 ft from where I use the laptop and even sitting next to your equipment it tells me that it is out of range, Makes no sense to me so I have to tether on my cell phone to get internet on my computer.
I was told that it was something in my computer and not hughesnet. However, I told him while in Florida I had two different internet companies in two different homes and had no problem connecting to them. Why should I have a problem in my home where I had a much older HP laptop that worked with Hughesnet and now I have a brand new HP laptop and I can't get connected, He was unable to help with that problem he said. I asked if I could speak to technical support and was told he was technical support and he couldn't help with that issue, So, I still can not connect my new HP laptop to my internet provider Yet I am paying for internet service, He told me to call back tomorrow to see what they can do about the bill increase because an answer took time because they are working from their homes., But, he told me he could give me 3 months of $20 a month because I qualify for that,
I am completely lost why would my laptop not allow me to connect to your service and tell me it is out of range, I called HP and they said , "It's your provider" so If I have to tether on my phone every night to get online I might as well disconnect my service with you because I am not going to pay you over $80 for nothing. Hopefully tomorrow they will be able to help me.

I Needed To change my plan and the person was very courteous and got the job done very quickly. The people I dealt with were easy to work with but the service from Hughes has a lot to be desired. The phone service drops calls a lot and the high speed is slow.

For the first 30 days everything worked great and then the speed dropped to a point that it took over an hour to download a 9 meg. software update. Using your speed test online it showed the download speed to be around .35 to .50 meg. which was lower that the upload speed. It was really miserable getting a file that was on the cloud.

When I spoke with the sales rep, I was promoted a business account with no contract. My account, when logged in to, has reflected that promise as you will see in the attached image. Hughesnet, however, insists I am under a contract, and is still billing me, even though I have advised them or the sales call, the proof, and that I am moving to a heavily wooded property that is not going to support satellite service.

Representative will tell you one thing. The system tells you another. Representatives did not tell me that the bill was due on Monday. Previous representative had told me I had till the 30th to pay the balance. Internet was suspended. Asked to speak to a supervisor and waited 32 minutes. Supervisor or representative never returned back to the call. Very poor customer service. Very dissatisfied. Told one thing and they did another. Obviously not concerned with customers.

Internet barely works ever. If you plan to do any research or school work it’s not gonna happen. Streaming or gaming really isn’t an option. Been through 3 modems, that’s their solution every time I’ve called. Send another modem. First time told me I needed to upgrade and right after I agreed to upgrading there was something wrong with my modem. Get the new one and same old **. Email says I owe 53.57. Make a payment. Nope it was 149.99. Terrible company.

After contacting HughesNet several times, I still have not resolved the issue of no internet service. (Since 2 weeks after installation, while I continue to pay for a service that I do not have!) Phone Techs requested that I log in on Google when I have no internet service on site? It is @ remote site with limited phone service. Was there this weekend but no phone service due to ice storm last month. I have been billed and paid for every month since installation (10-20). If situation is not resolved in 30 days I will cancel Hughes Net and stop payment. J.L.

Called because satellite service after a power outage was lost. Modem was unplugged with no success.. Currently have service personnel on call to come and evaluate problem.. No service after several days! Calling company who handled installation in Vicksburg MS.

Updated on 03/20/2021: The techs came and left. I had no cable or wifi. Said would send back. Took days. Initial team had cut wires when trenching.. 452 to pros. Hughesnet ignored many calls, sent people never got going. Cancelled due to no service. They keep taking 175. Payments of 175 from my bank. Help account is cancelled, never had it and costing way too much. Tech can prove wire to home cut along trench line.
Original Review: They cut our water and line digging for. Wires. Never got system working. 2 weeks for tech to come and go to no avail then charged me for service that never worked. I have warned many of the poor service.

The Hughes agent was very skilled and aware of the technical aspects of my inquiry. Small problem: at times I could not understand her due to her accent or dialect. Other than that, our conversation was a good experience. Hopefully, the speed and reliability of the Hughes service will become better.

Called on 5 March to have a payment. I was told that the payment would not come out that a full amount for the months of March and April would be on the first which is the date that I change my payments to be. My account is overdrawn.

Called and tried to explain our connectivity is the worst We have ever experienced. The tech didn’t understand what I was wanting. Ended up selling me more storage that I didn’t need and I’m still paying for it. Can’t get any decent service from your idiot techs.

It was really easy to get my service turned back on after I had placed it on vacation mode. (Suspend) is the right word. I had it suspend for 4 months and it took one phone call to have it turned back on and the other one suspended while I am in my other resident.

We've been Hughesnet customers for many years, mostly because we have no options beyond satellite. The service is sporadic and unpredictable, and outrageously expensive for what you get. Huge portions of data allowances magically disappear on days with little to no service. Penalties for cancelling service to try another provider amount to robbery. I couldn't be less happy with a company.

As far as customer service (phone, email) or repairs the service is great. As far as the internet it is the worst I've ever had. Can't watch movies (Cinemax, hbo, or NetHBO, etc. It streams constantly. Takes hrs. The same complaints from anyone in our subdivision and they have canceled ..Will not be renewing my contract..

I can not even begin to express how bad this companies service is!- first off it took weeks for them to come out to my home to set up the service. The tech who came was very friendly. I believe he was from South Carolina (my svc is for Pennsylvania )- that could have been the hold up. From the day it was installed we had nothing but issues!
At first we were trying to use it for streaming which is impossible- the service buffers every few seconds! Spent countless hours on the phone with their techs who could not help at all! Huge language barriers as well. My only spoken language is English- not what I was getting on the other line. We then started to work from home only to find out if you use a vpn network it will not be compatible with Hughes Net. They basically told me this was my responsibility to disclose this info- and that they were not responsible to tell me that they could not provide service for me. At this point I have no choice but to cancel service after 6 months of not being able to use it- guess what? Now I get charged $360 to cancel! Use any other company than hughes- they will rob you!!!!

I have progressive and relapsing form of multiple sclerosis which impairs my life. I am always on the phone confirming and making appointments. The girl who helped me out was the best thing that I could ask for. Extremely helpful and pleasant. Tell all of them that her example should be followed.

Service was terrible! We are a internet business and without consistent service while the sun is out or at any time is important for our use. Service was terrible. We asked to terminate before the first 30 days and Hughesnet sent us to collection for not paying early termination..

About 2 times per month we have to reset our modem to get back on line with the internet. After a call to tech-support, they reset something on their end and ask us to turn off our modem, then after 15 seconds or so, turn it back on. This seems work. However, this is a band aid approach to something of a deeper problem and very aggravating.

My e-mails would be slow to come in each day. The Hughes serviceman came out, replaced some old hardware, and now things are GREAT. E-mails come in much faster, and my daily games come in everyday without having to wait for them..

If you bill me one more time unauthorized, I will file a complaint with my local sheriffs internet fraud division, and also file a complaint with the FCC. Oh I could have rated it would be minus 100 for their service. My internet account was hacked and rather than Hughes Net investigating they chose to terminate my account. I am technologically challenged therefore I could never have done what I’ve been accused of, downloading illegal material. I am reporting to BBB and a consulting attorney. They debited my account on the 23rd of February but terminated it on the 24th. Very unethical.

We were accidentally disconnected while trying to resolve my problem and the rep didn't even bother to call me back to reconnect with me in regard to my issues. He explicitly asked for my phone number. I expect quality customer care for the extremely high price I am paying. I will be disconnecting soon to join the rural fiber optic provided by my electric company.

Slow speed on download. Usually below 600kbs. Only have seen 1mbs for a few seconds then drops quickly. Not what I was promised. Was promised low end speed of 2.5mbs. Raised price that was guaranteed for two years. Had to meet installer 3 times to get cable buried. I dug it for the last installer myself in under an hour. Last installer was easy to work with. First installer came out twice, not a truthful or easy person to work with.

The reason I’m canceling the internet service, it’s because every time I would call customer service to get help nothing was ever resolved. When we had the snow storm my internet wasn’t working for four consecutive days, which I called and was told to remove the snow from the dish, and the dish is on top of my roof. Now that I have cancelled the service I get a better offer for the internet at the same price I was paying. I have to return the equipment which I have no problem in doing it, I asked for a technician if they can send one to uninstall the equipment, which I was told I would be charged a fee for it. Today I spoke to Cat reference# **. I asked if I can get a credit due to the awful experience I had with the service, which she said she wasn’t able to help me with that due to me canceling the service before my contract expired, which I find absolutely unfair due to me having so many issues with the service.

When we moved we were told by the tech guy to move it ourselves then call him to hook it back up. Then when he came it took him two days. Our service is super spotty and buying tokens just to have crappy service is a rip off. We are paying to get out of the worst service of anything we have ever had. I can't get any emails from my Verizon.net address. I've tried contacting Hughesnet customer service; Haven't gotten ANYTHING back from them. That is NOT a good thing. Am beginning to look for other providers because of this. I also don't like my internet being throttled either, and I believe it is being throttled.

Slowest internet I've ever had. Won't play a movie without buffering 100 times. I can't believe they are allowed to advertise high speed internet when you can't even have a video chat or watch tv or anything. It's ridiculous and it cost me 400$ and 2 year contract.

Your rep tried passing it off as if the 10 gig plan I am on is the problem. I have an issue with that. The place where the service is at is linked to my security cameras. The only time any other use takes place is on weekends and that's not every weekend during the month. I suspect that my monthly use is less than 2 gigs so that even if I wanted to watch 20 minute youtube video or 1 hour streaming show I should not have buffering issues.

We are happy with the internet. We really do not have any problems at this time. We do have to reset the box from time to time, But that is an easy fix. The only other thing is when power goes out but not much you can do about that. So as for the main part we are happy with the internet from you.

We had been with Spectrum which kept putting our rates up without notification! We went with Hughes, but now after three months, they are doing the same thing. We can't drop them without a HUGE penalty, so we have to put up with this for another 21 months!! Our income does not increase.. Why should theirs? It's not like they aren't making bookoo bucks!!!!

We had an issue with our router that was impacting our ability to connect devices through WiFi, the specialist was polite, patient, and efficient in getting this issue resolved! The troubleshooting and reset of the router was done remotely which was really appreciated. Great experience. I would recommend to a friend.

Some of these representatives have been unknowledgeable and sometimes rude. They leave the conversation without a solution and without notice. Their response to questions are hard to understand so now I call for assistance. I haven't been satisfied with customer service and billing since I signed up. I pay monthly rental on mode which should not be charged on my account.

My technician showed up on time even in cold and nasty weather conditions. I was having a problem with the router. The LAN'S light was not coming on even after turning off the power and turning the power back on and checking all the connections. He upgraded my system to 5G and explained the new dish, modem and router. So far so good!

4 calls for slow or no internet since 2/7/21. Streaming TV constantly buffers. Some days we may get 5 seconds of viewing and other days a few minutes before it buffers. They say the modem is too far from the TVs (more than 15 feet) but their technician set it up and never mentioned where we put the modem was going to cause issues with streaming. Had they advised us of that, changing locations would not have been a problem. Then after 30 days you no longer receive free tech support with HN. HughesNet was made aware of the issue before the 30 day point, never corrected the issue and wanted to charge me for support. 3 of the calls I made, I was promised a call back from HughesNet in 24 hours and a return call was never received. So I can only assume HughesNet purposely bandaids customers complaints under the 30 day mark so that charges are incurred after 30 days.
And about that equipment you are leasing. Paperwork says after 30 days it’s no longer under warranty. How are you going to lease equipment and not cover it for the life of service unless it is apparent equipment was purposely damaged or ruined by the customers own deeds? Wish living in the country had more internet options because this customer is very disappointed with satellite internet offered by HughesNet.

Super slow internet for our area checked into it seeing other companies area offer 4x faster speed with no data caps. When asking customer support they would not answer questions about speed only offer high price doubling data leaving speed same told it was my fault for only getting 7 days worth of data. Trying to troubleshoot with technical after no help with support went even worse not speaking clear English and getting into arguments to the point of having to hang up instead of getting help. Two months left on 2 year contract will be transferring new provider would not recommend to anyone in rural area cant even watch a movie without stopping for a slow speed.

When calling in, or chatting, it is very easy to communicate about the issues and get results. Hughes Net, has taken care of me on issues concerning service without any delays in service or interruptions. I have used Hughes net, for over 10 years and have little or no trouble with the service.

Found out what was eating up our data. Turns out our security camera was. The representative from Hughes was wonderful. He spent time, researched it and provided the information so that we could make necessary changes. He deserves a raise! Certainly some form of recognition.

I think I was treated fairly was offered a discount to be in competition with another offer. I do find it difficult to limit my air time to the plan that I can afford. Have experienced occasional problems getting connected early in the mornings when I try to use my bonus time.

When we first contracted with HughesNet all was good. After about our 3rd year things started to slow down! At this time it takes forever to even log on! My wife and I don't stream movies and don't use Youtube. My wife wants to look for another provider. I feel that your site is getting over crowded which is slowing things down. The self diagnostic tool keeps saying, "Error try again later," and sometimes the internet doesn't seem to work. More times than I would like. It's actually the website for Hughes Net each time I go forward get the same response. Error messages.

I am trying to get my old number (**) transferred to Hughes net so I can use it instead of the temporary one. I Had to make a lot of calls over the last two days to Frontier & Hughes net. I hope we have it fixed. They told me it would take probably 10 days for that to happen. It was an ordeal for sure.

The only reason I'm a Hughes Net customer is because there is no other alternative where I live. While I love your response to service problems, your slow internet speed and black-out during snow storms is a real problem. I called customer service to change my plan. After asking some questions to clarify my choice, the representative was very helpful in completing the change. As an added bonus, they got me an additional $20 discount for 3 months, that was on top of the $10 discount I was getting for 6 months! Made me very happy!

No internet access. I have an antenna on the roof. Perhaps snow had obstructed it, or perhaps it was a neighborhood-wide phenomenon. It lasted two days. I detest having to go through a phone tree to get to a human correspondent, but when I did get to a human, she was very polite and helpful.

Called to get suggestions to increase bandwidth so that we could stream movies without buffering interruptions. Increased service to 30 gigs and are still having problems. We hoped to cancel DirecTV satellite service and start streaming TV on HughesNet. This excessive buffering problem makes it impossible to change. Do you have any more ideas?

Went right to area needed service. Person asked several questions, then did some checking for me and had a good quick answer. Weather related to loss of WiFi and heavy snow clouds. Pretty good - user wise- , but compared to MS "Outlook", it is a bit less refined and cumbersome to use. As long as "Outlook" is working OK, I prefer to use it. One area especially is the ADDRESS book feature of MS Outlook. It is much quicker to use and edit. But, when Outlook isn't working right for any reason, the reliability of Hughes Net is VERY welcome!

When I contacted Customer Service to find out why I had no internet, they checked variables and noted that when the storm passed my internet would return. It did. No fuss, no muss. Equipment was working but the storm blocked transmission. Internet returned within an hour.

Incompetent clowns!! We switched from residential to business account in November 2019. The woman that set us up charged us twice, had to go through nonsense to have extra charge reversed on our bank account. Took a month after the switch to finally get the new dish for business account. We returned the equipment for the residential account, UPS said it was delivered on JANUARY 15TH!!!! Hughesnet charges our bank $212 on FEBRUARY 12th. I called business and residential. Business said it wasn't them. Woman in residential named Destiny said she couldn't see a charge, told me to FAX (FAX!!?? IN 2021, WHO THE HELL STILL USES FAX??!!) to Advance billing copy of charge on my bank account. I had to go online and find some free fax service!
Called the next day, on the phone an hour, Woman tells me it's for unreturned equipment. Gave her the tracking number from the receipt, thank God I kept it, who knows how many people they've cheated because they lost the tracking receipt!! She went to UPS to see if it was delivered, dear God, aren't these things scanned in when they arrive! Told to call back in 48 hours to see if they credited my account and then it would be another week before I got the money back in my bank account.
Called three days later, had to go through this whole explanation again, because the person I spoke to this time said no one put any notes on the account from the last call. She puts me on hold, comes back saying the money was credited to our account, should be returned to our bank in 8 days from today. I just cannot BELIEVE the level of incompetence!!!! They must be cheating people like this all the time, I mean no one could be this bad by accident. And floating customers' money for two weeks!! We had better get our money back you jerks!!!! 0 stars!!!!

I have been without my services since 1/19/2021. The transfer of my services, was suppose to be completed today 2/17/2021, but because there was snow on the roof of my porch, the installer refused to complete the installation. I want to know what is going to be done to compensate me for the payments that I have made and not had any service. I do not understand why he could not install the dish and set me up. Now I have to wait an additional 14 days without service, but I am expected to pay for something that I do not have access to. That is not good customer service, and it seems that this company does not understand the meaning of customer service.

Called Hughesnet to correct a billing issue from January. Was transferred to an account manager who not only credited our account for the mistake - they also provided our account with a discount that will last for 12 months. That's customer service! I hear so many negatives regarding Hughes.net but I can't emphasize enough- call and speak to a supervisor or account manager!! We have lots of problems with Disney + reception but when Hughes.net makes adjustments...that makes a difference!

I've been having issues with my ISP Hughes net since the start.11 months in to my service I was having super slow download speed worse than dial up. After calling I was told $125 for a service call Now mind you I lease the equipment. I decided to troubleshoot the problem myself being retired from the communications industry I am able to do that. I'd found that the installer had used aerial cable underground (big no no) water ingress in the cable Internet worked for about two weeks and now back to dialup speed. After talking to a tech told me I had gateway issues and would take overnight to fix my upload speed was 1.6 mbps.
This morning he called back to see if it was fixed. I booted my laptop and had 32.56 mbps of speed. Okay nice but he lied to me. I told him my smart Tv was showing a download speed of 2462kbs which it was. He stated that 2462kbs was actually 24.6mbps. humm I said 2462kbs is 2.4mbps. I didn't tell him I knew he was being dishonest. HughesNet is not going to get another dime even though my contract is not up. Contracts work two ways. I pay for a service and service provider provides a service. If services are NOT provided service provider has violated its own contract. Hughesnet never again and no recommendations ever. I am glad to have internet service. My service is not very consistent. My speed is very slow. Even at my reset point, the first of each month, I do not get the 25 mbs I was told I would get. My speed has never exceeded 8mbs over the wifi and even with a cable I have never had over 12mbs. I also seem to have trouble staying connected. I will lose my connection to the internet and still have a strong connection to my modem. Even while typing this review I have lost the connection and it said "lost connection, please try again".

I called and reported that my account had an auto payment for 90.99 and the my debit card was charged an additional 90.99 for a total of 181.98 deducted from my account. First person was Padro who was nice and filed a claim. Called back to say claim rejected. Called bank who sees double charge. No trust in HughesNet right now.

I signed up with Hughes because the DISH connection and you got highest rating of 3 internet providers in my area. Your people, installer—everything was fine, until I started to surf the web, click on links etc. S L O W: 10 sec usually, sometimes more. UGH. NOT what I expected at all. Tech explained I was getting the right speed, but this was all a satellite could do. Before signing up, I was asked what I need it for and no one said anything about how slow the download time for a satellite is. Very disappointed. Am considering cancelling, despite cancellation fee. First time I’ve had internet at home and had been so excited. Now I’m disappointed.

When I called about slow uploads, which hampers our ability to work from home, I was treated very well. The rep. was very professional and ran tests for me. Ultimately, our speed was deemed to be within the contract guarantee. Hughesnet is basically our local option and does provide better service than the DSL service from before. I wish the speed was faster and more reliable during rain storms. They do explain what you're getting though. Good company in that regard.

Unstable, often dropping, not sufficient for working from home. I had been assured it was the best available and no other options were available to fulfil dependency needs. I have had less than 3 weeks and it does not meet my needs. I expect the service shall be discontinued as I have had it less than 3 weeks and it does not meet my internet needs for work. I was misinformed by Windtream that Hughes Net was all that was available. I have located another option for service that does meet the needs. And shall be used to meet the work requirement.
As information that I had been given was inaccurate, the agreed contract shall be voided. In short the service promised and $400 fee for early withdrawal, from the 24 month agreement should be nullified. This can be addressed between me and the involved business representative. If not the BBB shall be informed and taken to court if you wish.

I have had terrible service from HughesNet. Specifically. Extremely slow speed, Data limits are very low for the high cost of service. I live in a rural area and the only reason I use your service is because there is no alternative. As soon as another rural broadband band service becomes available I will immediately switch regardless of cost. I recommend you try to improve your speed and data limits or else I believe you will lose most if not all of your customers in this area as soon as other services become available, which by the way should be soon.
Our power company is in the process of installing fiber optic cable in our area as we speak. As soon as it gets to my house I will absolutely discontinue using HughesNet. I think now would be a good time for you to take action to improve and not take your customers for granted. I need broad band but your service only delivers the basic minimum to even call it internet. I’ve had better service when I was using a dial up modem. Sorry to tell you this - but it is the truth. Installer was very professional and his installation was a model of proper technique. Everything went well and he checked the signal before he left, but the signal rapidly degraded within a week. There needs to be a way to verify signal strength (i.e., available upload and download speed) prior to going through the entire installation process. An alternate provider was required to obtain reasonable performance (and that person also commented on the excellent job his predecessor did).

I was told by one of your representatives that our bill was $96.45. I went online to pay it, but it said I owed $55.12. It wouldn't let me pay more than that. I had to call back in to pay the remainder over the phone. While I was on the phone, I was told our dish is out of line and needs corrected. I haven't heard anything since. The internet is very slow. After 12 years of service I terminated service due to a better internet service availability. Hughes Net is expensive and slow. Do not try to watch a movie. Hughes claims to not have a data-cap but that is miss leading. Once a data limit is reached the data flow is slowed but not stopped. Hughes will attempt to sell the subscriber more speed with their "tokens" plan. I could not recommend Hughes Net to anyone unless there absolutely was no alternative.

The service is sometimes slow and freezes up. For web surfing it is great but to stream movies and videos it lags and will freeze. With all of the technology you would think it would be better. When we had our service moved I was at first told that I would not be charged for moving the service. Then I was charged for moving the service but the fee was waived. Okay. Then I'm having the same problem at the new address that I have the old address. My phone bill is an outrageous 60 to $80 because the internet is not picking up the slack and the data is having to work more because the internet's not picking up on my phone then they come when they come and they put the internet in. They installed the satellite on top of the roof. I didn't think anybody did that anymore but my landlord is very upset with us. We had no idea that they were putting on the roof because there are other trailer. They put it on a pole in the yard so we are just assumed that. That's what they were doing here.

Unfortunately my credit card was compromised and I didn't notice that until mid November. As a result the credit card was cancelled and I didn't think to see if any payments would lapse. Your payments did and then it took some time for a new credit card to arrive. And even then it didn't work. Your staff was extremely helpful and the problem has been solved very satisfactorily.

The individual I spoke with was extremely courteous and listened to my story as by this time it was fairly long. He willingly answered all my questions and advised me on what to do. I followed all his instructions and the problem is now settled!!!!

It's OK for now. Need a stronger signal. I'm happy just having internet, but wish it was better. When I want to watch Netflix, got to wait for 5 minutes for it to download. Like I said just happy to have service.

Even though she couldn't fix my issue due to weather conditions, she tried very hard to help me. I ended up getting a credit for Multiple days due to the weather not letting up for a week. She was very polite and courteous.

I recently called the service number for help with my modem, I found out the problem was build up of snow on dish. But leading up to that the service tech was very friendly and helped me find the problem. I was very grateful.

My discount was extended and I had no trouble understanding the lovely Hughes New agent. It was a pleasure dealing with her.. Just wish I, as a senior, didn't have to play this game with pricing every few months. Just let me keep my current price --- please. I was told that I would be able to Zoom video in ways I could not under my old plan. I upgraded at some expense. I was told I would be very happy. But I'm not. The first call I tried to record, the video at my end froze. Audio was better, but not the video. This affects my business meetings and my video recordings. My home is so off the grid that HughesNet is the best offering - unfortunately wifi which is unstable. I need a way to get better reception and I'm not getting help.

Your company is the worst to deal with. Customer service is horrible. Don't need to stay on the line wasting time trying to understand what is being said with no fix for the problem. Need real technical assistance with real techs coming out to fix the problem. I would never recommend your services to anyone.

The modem lost connection to the satellite so that we had no internet service. The technician very patiently walked me through how to reset my modem making it possible to connect to the satellite. She spent at least a half hour maybe more guiding me through all the necessary steps. I appreciated her patience and support.

I don't understand why I am charged for Paying my bill online with my own card, and being charged for verifying a new card. Don't even think about getting anything done over the telephone because all I got was three choices and I never got a live person and I tried two days, and got a loop never speaking to anyone. It took two days to get my new card verified. I am charged four times for verifying and I didn't get the codes until the next day when my card was verified. Your system needs lots of improvement. And charging for paying my bill or trying to verify a new card is not good business relationship.

I had called in to pay my bill and just wanted to know if my credit was applied and the representive had to look into it and had to apply it for me. I get the credit every month since I can't download Norton on to my computers. And Hughes Net won't send anyone out to help me.

Called about no internet and got a tech on the phone right away. He talked me thru every step and when nothing was working he advised me to wait another 24 hours to make sure it wasn't weather related before sending out the crew and being charged for nothing. Very nice guy and very helpful. Problem did work itself out and am pleased with my service.

I paid for internet to be installed over three weeks ago. Since then I have been given four different dates of installation neither of which anyone has shown up for. Every time I call Hughes they give me an appointment for time and a date and when I call the installation company they give me a different time and date. I have gotten nowhere with this company and I'm still waiting to have my internet installed taking off work two days and have been asked to take off a third day to have it installed. That's my experience. Did I hang up on you and while filling out this form it asked me to give them Stars. I wouldn't have given them any stars at all but had to just to fill out this form.

After a disruption of service due to weather, my wifi did not seem to be working for all my devices. Alejandro ** stepped me through troubleshooting and rectified the situation. He was very patient and thorough and my lack of technical expertise did not deter him. I am most appreciative of tech reps who will take time to explain the hows and whys of service problems. This type of service reflects very positively on Hughesnet.

I’m trying to get a copy of my last bill and you can’t get that right/ My provider need a copy so I can’t pay you guys. You can’t send it through email. Why haven’t I sent it through the mail. I tried going on line but I do not have my username. One of the rep gave me a two letter I user name which make no sense.

Inconsistent speed! One day 30+ Mb/s, next day less than 1Mb/s. Right now I'm running between 5-7 Mb/s, yesterday 505Kb/s. Very rarely reaching advertised 25Mb/s or even promised 10Mb/s. Very frustrating.

We already had Hughesnet Internet Service. I called to add a home phone. Hughesnet Operator quickly had UPS deliver wall plug-in and cords to hook up the new phone. I had to go to purchase a new phone since the phone was not included in the deal. (I knew this ahead of time though) After purchasing the new phone, I followed Hughesnet booklet instructions and was using my new phone almost immediately. All Hughesnet employees were very polite and informative. Thank You.

Called the toll free help line and wasted the next two and a half hours talking to someone in a foreign country who was absolutely clueless and of no help. Finally threatened to terminate service on 3rd call and that allowed a service call to be scheduled. Sure enough, the problem was yours and not ours as I tried for over two hours to tell tech support. The entire tech support experience is a complete nightmare and insulting to customers as the questions asked by them are intended for idiots. The only thing that keeps me w HughesNet is the quality of the service tech who comes out when things go to **. He is great and gives excellent service and advice. Toll free "help" line is absolutely a joke.

They sent a technician to my home. I live in Wisconsin. It was very cold and this poor guy came out to my house to fix a problem that was taken care of on Saturday and I was having a problem with my internet. It was cover in ice and snow so when my grandson cleaned off the ice and snow my internet was restored. I called back to cancel that appointment I had for Monday. HughesNet did not canceled the appointment. I think y’all can do a better job. Very disappointing.

This "high speed internet" is not as high speed as I was led to believe. Many of your competitors have much faster speed. I gave up 80 megs to put in Hughes Net at 25 megs. Not a good choice on my part.

When I was changing card information. I keep asking if I was going to be charged. I was told that I was not going to be charged. After I hang up. I checked the card I seen where I was charged. I was unhappy.

On the day that my internet service didn't work--I called Hughes Net and the problem was fixed within minutes. The tech knew exactly what was wrong and I was able to access the internet within a very short period of time.

Your representative was actually very nice and helpful but trying to sell me an upgrade that I was interested in but not knowing the price seems a little ridiculous to me. Not good business. I just wish the internet service had an up speed of 2mbps instead it under 1. I live in a country area that I have to have satellite service on everything just about except electricity. I just wish you have it where it can have more options to accommodate.

I called to check my internet for service. My iPad was saying no service and was like it was locked up. They told me to unplug the power and wait a few seconds then plug it back in. I did that and my iPad started working. It was a easy fix.

REGARDING HUGHES NET SERVICE I have not spoke to you in quite some time. Please do not take this as a sign that we are pleased with your service. When I last spoke with a rep quite awhile ago, I nearly had a stroke by the time we were done. I did speak briefly with someone last week and I could see nothing had changed except you now expect me to pay a dollar to register a complaint. We were convinced a year or so back by one of your reps, who was making a cold call, that if we changed to DirecTV and got a new router box our problems would be solved. For about a week we did not get the frequent refreshes and had a better picture. When the installer came he noted that your initial connection was faulty, something I had been saying for a year.
When our initial connection was made I was promised that an engineer would come out and make repairs or we could end our contract. Mysteriously you could never find a record of this! After the new so called upgrade the same old problems came back. My husband only gets refresh circles on his tablet. I need to cancel my streaming channels due to constant refreshing. Netflix is fairly consistent. I am paying an outrageous amount at your suggestion so I can simply watch tv. I am partially disabled and spend a great deal of time in bed and movies are my entertainment and help me take my mind off pain.
I feel the only answer is for you to drop the contract as you have not lived up to providing good service. We would also like to return to Dish, it is MUCH USER FRIENDLY! I would greatly appreciate your help. Nothing short of ending this contract would be satisfactory. We have lived up to our end, you have not, plain and simple. I do not wish to speak to a problem solver where nothing gets accomplished other than raising my BP. I am not a difficult person but enough is enough....**

I contacted HughesNet because in my second month, I wasn't sure if I was on the right plan. I used 99% of my plan in my first month. In my second month I was at 100% with 10 or so days left in the billing period. I was given 2 free mbs by the guy who helped me. He explained the tokens to me. I did not see the 2 free mbs when I logged on a few days later. I bought a token for 5 mbs. Please confirm I was given the 2 mbs.

Everything on my calls and delivery of service has been sufficient, I have had some issues with the strength and or signal from time to time due to my location and visibility of satellite and area visibility. I recommend HughesNet to other customers.

My husband had left his wallet in the laundry so it was washed and dried destroying the card. Our card holder gave us a new account number and cancelled out the old one & told me that auto drafts would automatically move over to the new account. Unfortunately this did not happen. I called Hughes Net and explained and they promptly helped me to correct this.

Why does Hughes Net say speed is at max for Dish network when in fact it is not adequate to view on demand movies.??? It seems that with Hughes Net upgrades this speed should not be a problem. It seems each time I call it's the same old story??

I received a new modem that wasn't working. 3 days after calling first tech called again and spoke with a tech who sent someone to my house. My satellite needed a new wire ran. Case # **. This tech was SO helpful, informed, courteous, friendly! Need more like that one on your team for sure.

Using these tiny wireless phones, hate them. Calls work so far. I'm waiting for my phone number to port so not much use yet. Installation was confusing. Too many set ups. You know what I have. You should have tailored set up to my equipment.

Your tech handled the problem quickly and easily and called later to check to see if everything was still working. Would strongly recommend Hughes serviced techs. Hughes Net seems to be faster than Dish net and the speed did increase after the session with your tech.

It is to slow. Will not carry cell phone via internet. Streaming is in and out. Will run a complete stream but this the only option in my area as there are choices for a land line. Will be moving on as soon as possible. Going to pole the subdivision to get a cable company to install cable trunk lines.
