Friday I tried to go online and pay my bill like I have done for some time now. I could not get payment to go through. I contacted your support line by phone. I still could not get a resolution. Just a bunch of questions about who owned account. Records should show who has paid that bill since June of 2014. The next day service was turned off.

I had to cancel service due to losing my job to COVID and needing to move across the country to move back home. I called HughesNet prior to my move to set up the cancellation date. They informed me that I would be charged a $395 fee. I pleaded with them unsuccessfully to not charge me but they did it anyway. HughesNet told me that I would receive instructions a couple of weeks after I moved regarding equipment return. When I received the instructions I was informed to return the modem which I had as well as a radio transmitter. This was the first time I heard of a radio transmitter.
I called HughesNet about that and they told me that the radio transmitter was on the dish and that they needed that. I told them that I had already moved across the country and that I would have been able to return the transmitter had I been informed about that earlier. I returned the modem and had to pay UPS charges to do that. About a month later I had a credit card charge for $218.40 from HughesNet. I called them and they told me that I was charged because I did not return the transmitter. I told them that I was never informed about that before I moved and was told that they charge would be reversed. That has not happened. Totally disappointed with their dishonesty and would never recommend this shady company to anyone.

I live up in the mountains and I still go fast service. Joe, my installer is a true professional. He went above and beyond to install everything perfectly and with a smile. The job he did was perfect and clean and in no time I finally had a phone and internet. The service I received was quick and professional and I would recommend Hughes Net to anyone needing internet and phone.

Living in a rural area, our 911 system is routinely compromised by an entity cutting a primary fiberoptic cable (and not available in our area) when "digging." Our association with HughesNet has allowed our communication, even when we lose power and have to go on our generator backup. In our area, independency is of a primary concern for communication when landline and other "ground" sources are comprised.

I had very good experience with Hughes Net. I have to call recently 4 times with some issue. For the first 3 times I was told that technical service will contact you within two business days but no one contacted me. Finally some caring customer service person listened to me on the 4th call and resolved my issue to the best of satisfaction.

When viewing videos, like on Youtube, video would stop for about say 1 minute to 20 minutes, then start, stop, start, stop. Would like have it fixed. When it stops, there's a thing in the middle goes around and around. If it's not fixed, I'll look for another internet provider.

I had a questions regarding why the rate was increased. CSR was helpful. He was happy to help and was accommodating. He was knowledgeable and efficient. He got me a better rate than I had before. He went above and beyond.

When I signed up for the service I paid to buy the equipment. I then found out I was being charged $10./per month for leased equipment. I never wanted lease. I bought it upfront. This issue goes back to April 2015. No one can get it fixed even though they show I paid for the modem upfront. That’s fraud.

When I call to get tech service because I grew up in the 60s my grandson who's 4 knows more than I but your techs are always pleasant and are willing to help and that is special to me since I was the cs service manager at the largest Ford dealership in NM and Chrysler Dealership which stride to be a 5 STAR rated dealership so thanks. I just had to have my billing day postpone my billing day just one day because payday was a day off. Plus there was not enough money in the account to cover the bill at that moment. I think there should not be a limit on how many times you can postpone the payment. Especially if you have been great paying consumer as I have been for over 10 years.

I needed to reset my main password because it appeared I was hacked. The service associate was great. Very patient with me and we were able reset and everything is working great. Very happy with Hughes Net and have recommended to friends.

I am dissatisfied that I am unable to stream internet movie/video sites. Only Youtube and they aren't always easy to get either. In Feb. of 2021, after my new customer price is gone, I will be paying $25, plus taxes, more. To tell you the truth, my internet service isn't worth almost a 1/3 more in charges. When my 2-yr. contract is over in Feb. '22, I plan to change to another service so I don't have to pay almost $640 in penalties to cancel your service. My expenses are going up and I’m sure other people's are too. We have to have service that is worth the cost.

I am so pissed off we moved at the end of September. When I canceled service there was a fight over a cancellation fee several phone calls. Then I was told to send the the receiver and plug back. It took weeks to receive the box. I mailed it back. And on 12/19/2020 they took $218.60 out of my bank account. I called and they are saying I was supposed to crawl on the roof and get a radio. Omg really? I am not physically able to crawl on a roof then she said it will cost $125 to have them come out and get it. Showing me that I wasn't heard as we don't live there since the end of September. I was told my money will be put back in my account with in 24 hours. I will watch and contact my bank. My suggestion is better customer service a letter to the customer. And clear expectations thanks for ruining my day. Once again HughesNet. Yvette

The installer was professional. The service is good but not good enough to stream on Roku. But 20 gb goes quick. Good for school. Not recommended for work, gaming or streaming. But it works for my phones and kids' schoolwork. Grateful they offer service in my area. There's not even a telephone landline co that comes out here. Have both net and phone from Hughes and overall satisfied but they don't offer unlimited internet so only 4 stars.

The response is generally slow. While watching television programs consistently stop then reload. While surfing the web load times are slow. Clicking various links also load slowly. Like most, we have more than one device and the concern is when all are being used, will the network shutdown?

Hughes Net is on par with other satellite providers. Their speed is OK. Not as fast as advertised. Cost is on par with other sat providers. Customer Service is very good. The weather is a primary factor in the quality of their product.

Always have problems accessing my email account (**) either says, "You have entered an incorrect user name or password" or there is a problem with my account. I contact customer service. The problem is fixed only to occur again when trying to access my email.

I was told when I purchased HughesNet that it was the best high speed internet. I went from wireless to running a ether cable from my router to my Dish DVR box. I am paying for a service I have never used.

The Internet has gone down after electricity being out and I called to HughesNet and was helped by very polite woman who taught me many things and help me to manage my Atlee allotment by changing my TV resolution, etc. Every time that I ever called to Hughes Net I get nothing but the best of service.

I never had this issue the first year it was installed but now after a couple of years it has gotten much worse. Technician told me “well, that’s just the way it works, everything checks out” so I guess I’m stuck with it for now. Can’t wait for Starlink to get up and running and put Hughesnet out of their misery.

It slow so I can't watch anything On Demand because I just get the circle after every minute. I don't understand why on demand doesn't work - it has to be because I have very slow internet. Also two times I've tried to send this and it says connection is lost.

The worst Experience ever! Charged me $600 to install, they used the same wiring from the previous internet company, it never worked and a week later they said dish was too close to the house, after a week of waiting tech never showed up. When I went to cancel it within their 30 day period they told me I would be charged an additional $400 cancellation fee. I was livid to say the least. Then today a few weeks after cancelling I get the monthly fee of $200 chargeed to my account. This company is the worst I have ever dealt with. DO NOT USE!!!

Once I bought some. No difference, DIDN'T help. Then I see I have to click "use data tokens" but those are "prepaid" & agent says I can't choose when to use extra I buy. CONFUSING, STUPID LABEL. "Prepaid" tokens are what I get with my service, so I BUY, not you. I wish I COULD buy tokens and use when I want, not automatically. So those I bought before really didn't make any difference after all. Why buy them?

I called about the purchase of 15gb of tokens on a special but my account only showed 10gb purchase. The gentleman was very helpful and knowledgeable and even did other diagnostics for me. Had trouble also getting Hughes Net robo phone system to recognize my account but the gentleman I finally talked to was very helpful.

I had 3 modems go bad in 3 months and each time I had to travel 1 1/2 hrs to meet y’all. Evidently Hughes uses refurbished modems that are not of high quality nor inspected well. I dropped Hughes knowing that there are not a lot of alternative solutions. However, I would rather not have internet than have Hughes. Evidently little to no quality control when it comes to their installed products. The only thing that I experienced in a positive way was the young man that serviced my residence and he was exceptional. Can’t imagine being him and having to install less than quality products.

I Googled online services for Mackinac Island, my new home. I called HughesNet and was told that they could provide me with the type of service I needed. Installer cancelled the first day. Told me his truck had broken down. He also told me that I would need a business account (more expensive) to get the speed I wanted. He told me to cancel my order and that he would set me up with a business account. He didn't show up for the next appointment and set up a third day.
He told me that the HughesNet service was the fastest serviced I could get on the island. This was not true. After the service was installed, it was not acceptable. I could not work from home, nor could my wife. I called Hughes, multiple times and was not given satisfaction. They want to charge me over $800.00 for an early separation fee when they lied to me in the first place about their company's abilities to provide the service I wanted. I then dealt with a bunch of call center people who were all females who sounded like they were under 13 years old from the Philippines. NONE of then were able to fix the problem. HughesNet is a fraud and the worst provider of any utility I've ever dealt with in my 55 years on this planet. And that is no exaggeration. I will be sharing my experience with everyone on my social media and everyone in my community.

From the day of installation to today, 7 months into the mandatory 24 month contract, the system has failed to provide the promised internet service. We have yet to sit through any streaming movie or show via Netflix, Amazon Prime, or YouTube without any buffering. The temporary moments of viewing are so full of blurry pixels it makes it completely frustrating beyond measure. The leg time using the laptop makes it inoperable. Prior to installation we were told that we would be able to use up to 5 devices without buffering. We are unable to use just one device. After making several calls to gain help to improve the quality we are left in an even worse state than before... They even tried a complete new modem and yet it somehow made it even worse. Completely 100% unsatisfied.

Since installed I have had to call almost weekly to report slow or no internet. Speed checks show below 1 mgb Three service calls, still no internet. Technician on phone said it was snow in the area where it’s uploaded to satellite. I’m very disappointed in paying good hard earned money for this crappy service.

First of all I lived in a rural area and barely got wifi. No wifi calling and certainly no streaming. Over 2 years. I renewed service (not many options) and was told it was such a discount that it would be the same price to increase my plan. Wrong. But what really made me angry was today. So we placed our service on hold because we moved. I was charged this month because I forgot about our hold.. We're looking for land still. That's my fault. Not mad about the charge. I called Friday 12/11/20 to cancel service because I don't know when we'll find new land to build and was talked into maybe renewing the hold. Was told that to cancel it was $295 and they would minus the $148 already charged to my account.
I call back today 2 Days later to cancel because I can always renew, we just don't know how long it'll be and today the price changed so I was charged $373 to cancel (minus 148). So we went up $78 in 2 days?? I was asked to consider and call back.. is that so I could be charged more per day?? I see how good customers are treated. I will not use Hughesnet again. Very disappointed.

My computer was running very slow, and I thought I needed to update, found out I already had high speed, he did something to increase the speed, (Steven) and then found I was not registered online, so he explained how to fix that also, he was patient with me, this was the first time I have had to call in 3 years? The customer service support is above normal; the wealth of knowledge is always appreciated. That being said the speed of Hughes Net is terrible. I have called mentioned several times at how unsatisfactory our internet is. I would suggest a different customer service package with faster upgrades. With the age of COVID-19 many people are having to work from home which demands faster upload and download speeds.

It was horrible. My technician decided to show up 3 hours early after I'd already taken a half day off from work. I totally missed him. Didn't get to discuss anything. He just said I had a tree that needed cut and that was it. Upon trying to contact HughesNet I had to go through four or five different people to explain what had happened and that that I had taken a half day off from work for nothing because your subcontractor decided he was going to set his own schedule instead of adhering to the preset schedule we had already determined.
So now I have no service still and I'm out $350 in wages and now I have to wait another week for your subcontractor to come and look at the whole setup again. It took me four phone calls to get through to a the right person that would actually listen to what had happened to me and gave me at least a couple of options to go from. But still I am out a half a day's pay for nothing and now my cable installation has been postponed a week. Horrible horrible horrible start to my service with HughesNet.

We have no fiber where we live so we are happy to at least have satellite internet. It’s not super fast but we can get to our favorite internet sites. We wish we could use Netflix or Apple TV but the downloads are too big to bring down. Also VPN is not available with satellite. That would be nice to have when you live out in the middle of nowhere.

Everyone at HughesNet has been very nice. I would have given it 5 Stars if I did not have the BUFFERING and FREEZING. I never know when it is going to do it. I will not rent a movie, because I do not want to pay for something that I cannot watch. Otherwise I am very happy with HughesNet.

They were prompt in transferring me to support Technicians, Victor was patient with me, very helpful, knowledgeable in helping me then he put an order to have a technician come to my home in a day he arrived and completed the order and I was very happy overall with my service with the team. Very respectful of my property and knowledgeable about their job. Because of COVID 19 they wear masks during their time in my home. They gave me the option of going wireless or using the cable, I choose the cable and they had no problem with my choice and installed the cable and made sure everything worked before they left.

He demonstrated extreme patience and kindness while dealing with me, who knows very little about technology. We've had HughesNet for about 8 years I think and have had very few service calls. When we needed help it was quick and very well done. We live in a valley and our service before Hughes was extremely slow and not at all dependable. We've been very pleased with HughesNet. Thank you.

Don't believe a word your told, after your units are used they throttle down so bad it is impossible to use. Of course all this applies even WITH the full units. You can not stream movies, nor surf the web, constantly buffers or simply so slow you want to throw the whole thing at a wall. If you stream lot movies or search web not the company for you.

One of the most important features of HughesNet is that in the rare event of something not running as usual, a customer will be able to have a real-live person answer his/her questions, and resolve the problem swiftly. So many other companies, today, resort to answering calls with a robot that can't seem to figure out what the problem is, let alone how to solve it. Kudos to HughesNet for respecting its customers.

Subscribe to YouTube. Streaming constant buffer. Modem at fault? Technical assistance referred to 'super support'. Response was timely. No trouble indicated. Was using Edge and Chrome. Switched to Firefox and buffering became limited but still interacts. Number of users online eating up bandwidth? Satisfied and living with intermittent problem.

I am rural. Only thing available is Hughesnet. I thought a newer-better service was available (WRONG) so after a month using the newer service, canceled my service with Hughesnet. The technician took the equipment with him. Hughesnet wanted it back from me so eventually charged my card for it. Called and explained that the technician took the equipment and within days my card was credited. Customer service goes a LONG way with me. BTW am back with Hughesnet.

I had problems buffering and called to get it repaired which it was. I found out when I called there were two accounts under my telephone number. It was then discovered when I upgraded to Gen5 my old account was never closed out and I have been paying for two accounts for over a year. I was first told you could only make corrections back for two months. Another call to someone in the United States resulted in a discount in the monthly bill. All told with both offers I will still only get back about 1/2 of what I overpaid you. I was never told it was up to me to call and cancel the old account. You would think Hughes Net would see there was never any use on the old account and know it was never canceled. I feel Hughes Net needs to make this right and refund everything I have overpaid for the service I was receiving. So far I have not filled out a complaint to the FCC as I wanted to give Hughes Net another chance to do what is right.

I have called your company two times. The first time I was on the phone for an hour and 45 minutes. I thought everything was working. It was not. I called back, talk to Amber and spent another hour and a half on the phone. It still is not working. They promised to call me back on Wednesday Dec 9 at 3 o’clock and at this time nobody has called me back. This has been terrible service. I am very disappointed. I still do not have TV service. It has been over Two weeks.

Service worked much better than it has in the past several years. Price is great. Customer service is friendly. I have one problem. Sometimes I have to relatively hit connect to wifi even on days is sunny and no wind but sure why I was to connect without exaggeration 25 to 30 times in the morning but other than this is works well.

I have not been happy with the speed HughesNet consistently supplies. I have difficulty even streaming YouTube videos when I do that once in a while. I have only tried to attend a Zoom meeting once and was dropped twice during the meeting due to slow speeds. I do sometimes see your advertised speeds, but your TV commercials are very misleading showing more than one user online. Your service does not even serve one user well. Also, to get a decent amount of monthly data allowance at what you call high speed is too expensive. If I had the choice of a cable provider, actual high speed and lots of data, I would choose it but being outside the city limits I don't have much choice but to use HughesNet. I am just glad I am retired and don't have to work from home or have to attend online meetings or have to stream video. In trying to submit this form, I kept getting connection failed messages. Another indication of why I rate you low.

My data is used up in 4-5 days. I am on your most expensive plan! Then it does not matter how much $ I spend to buy an upgrade in data speed-it does not speed up very much. The wheel is always on showing weak speed.

After 1+ yrs as a customer I started having a LOT of issues. I started calling, chatting etc and finally they were resolved. The follow-up by Hughes was consistent and so far voice and internet has improved. Will wait and see if it continues.

It really sucks. I've cancelled all my programs because of slow internet. Can't watch anything. Always buffering. Planning to turn it off. Too very pissed. We do not always have internet service when we want it. After talking with Tech Support, we learned that not only does our weather affect service but also the weather at our gateway. This past evening we seemed to have full service at the modem, we could not stream movies.

Even at its fastest it is slower than fast internet. In prime time (evenings) when watching video such as YouTube buffering can double the time to watch a video. Unfortunately when you live in an area that is not serviced by other Internet providers you don’t have much choice.

Attempted to get Roku last week, but was told that I needed a new module or something and that piece of equipment would require me to sign another 2 year contract, which I will not do! Excellent customer service and I love that it could all be done remotely. I have health problems with toxins (synthetic fragrance (ie dryer sheets, laundry/toiletry products and tobacco smoke) so doing this remotely preserves my health. In the past I had to wait for a tech to come out to fix problems. Remotely this was fixed in less than an hour. :)

The people that I spoke with were knowledgeable, friendly and quite a delight to deal with. The phone tree system dropped me at least 4 times, and if sending an email, I generally had to send 2 or 3 because there is a 200 (or so) character limit. When dropped, there was not always a disconnect, so I was left 'on hold' on a dead line. My experience in trying to get specific information concerning an upgrade to my plan took almost 90 minutes, start to finish, because of all the dropped calls.

I chatted about having my bill put off and the agent said they had it put off till the 25th yet it come out of my acct on the 8th which was reg due date which cause problems with my bank and took money I was gonna use for my small kids Christmas. I ask before ending chat if for sure nothing was coming out till 25th. They said that is correct but yet still done it. Then when I wrote about this they said nothing could.be done or refunded cause that was my due date. So they couldn't help it. Service is as promised. However when sign-up first occurred the associate made no mention that price was a promotion. In fact I questioned if the price was for length of contract and was told "yes". Sadly discovered that this was not true. Options are limited in our area however already looking for alternative once contract is over. Do not recommend the company based on their failure to communicate truthfully. Company is not willing to compromise or assist in lowering costs. Service is very good and what was promised. However the misleading promotion offers is worthy of saying "buyer beware" and find other alternative if possible.

Signed up for high speed internet and phone service. Could not even get on Netflix. I was charged extra every time DirectTV used the internet. Tried to get help and was told someone would call in the evening. No one ever did. Called in May to cancel and was told I would have to pay $400. I said no way am I paying that to cancel crappy service. They are still trying to charge me for service even though I have contacted them several times to cancel.

My wife and I moved December of 2019 to our retirement home in a beautiful remote location in Northern Michigan. Our only real option was HughesNet that was packaged with Dish Network. We currently pay around $72 a month for 20gb of data streaming. For the last three months or more, we've had to purchase "tokens" of data that runs about $3 per gb or 25gb for $75. Two per month. So, $72 plus $150, or about $225 per month. Outrageous! Now the service from them is pitiful. They boast 25mb per second download speeds and I've used a couple third-party data tracking programs and average less than 5mb per second. If you run out of data, the system "doesn't" reduce download speed, it just stops and gives error messages when trying to access a website. Again, pitiful.
When we do have data on our account, we have to watch videos at the lowest possible quality levels and still see the blue "circle of death" frequently. I've spoken to their tech support on numerous occasions. Level one is who you get when you call. Nice folks, but not that helpful. The key is to get elevated to their advanced support. There you will get better support. The last technician I spoke to at level one support told me that Hughesnet was not equipped to handle sites like Amazon Prime, Hulu, Netflix, etc. It just could not handle the data speeds required for streaming video. (I would be surprised he still works for them.) I can't even imagine the hours that my wife and I have spent waiting for sites, videos, email, etc., to paint the screen.
Reminds me of the days of AOL dialup, minus the squelching in your ear. HughesNet is a terrible internet provider and rakes their clients over the coals with data costs, or should I say data thieves! I would never recommend their service to anyone and would certainly pay to get out of our 2 year contract with them if something better were to become available. On a scale from 1 to 10, I would give HughesNet a negative five.

We have multiple times called customer service and I’ve been given the runaround, we speak from people overseas. There seems to be a lack of communication. In my search for this service, even the top 5 companies in South West Louisiana does not provide internet service, especially AT&T all of which suggests the use of Hughes. I can't stream anything because it is constantly refreshing so everything I watch is interrupted and makes for unpleasant and frustrating viewing. I've had satellite Hughesnet for about 19 months now on a 2 year contract, hopefully won't renew. Stuck with satellite Internet for now, however. I can't retrieve my webmail without going through all kinds of machinations. Their customer service is nonsensical, and you have to go through the A.I. system, that's not exactly in your favor to reach them. I am paying 138.00/month for Internet of 20 GB's of data and a voice service. That's about enough data to stream 2 movies a month and have enough left over for your Internet and maybe an Alexa device I use to listen to music when I workout at home. That sucks. I can't switch, I'm under contract, I'd have to buy it out, and there's just one other satellite service, also an EchoStar company it turns out, ViaSat. That sucks too. I hear like there are other better Satellite services, like Windstream, not available in my area with unlimited data.

I have made many phone calls due to poor Internet which did not successfully support streaming tv. This was my purpose for subscribing. About the 3rd or 4th call, I was helped technologically and reception improved for a few days. The next call provided more tech advice which has helped also, but still leaves a lot of poor reception. I am in a difficult area, but I should not have been sold the service. I would feel a lot better if I were to be released from the 2-year contract on the 2 services I am paying for rather than be stuck w/ this bill for an unacceptable product.

I have been with Hughesnet for 3 years now. I had my service moved when we bought our new home in December of 2020. Hughes net agreed to move my service for free with a new 1 year contract. Foolishly I agree. Knowing my term would be up this month I double checked on the myhughesnet site 4 different times before calling to cancel today. Under my service in red numbers it said every time end of term 12/03/2020.
My first call today resulted in me getting upset and hanging up because I was unwilling to pay $250 for early termination. I was asked where on the site I saw this info during the call. I told her under my service. Upon hanging up and looking it up again it now states in blue letters term ends 12/03/2020. Needless to say after the second call since I didn't write down the information in 2019 I will be keeping my service for another year since I can't afford to have them take $250 out of my account tomorrow. This time I definitely wrote down a confirmation number and hopefully won't have the same issue next December. Disappointed that 3 years of service ended up like this. Oh and I was given a discount for the next 6 months after spending over a hour on the phone between 2 calls.

I am really dissatisfied with the service you get when you call customer service. First of all we pay outrageous prices for crappy at the best internet. Then when we call with a problem then we have to troubleshoot our own equipment. This is a bunch a crap. If your internet is down it's down. Get off your rear ends and fix it. Hughes Net is better than none. I'm in a rural area and no other options. Speed is slow compared to high speed. It's not good for virtual classes. It stalls a lot. We could not stream Disney Plus, due to very slow speed. However, we can use Netflix and Hulu. I'll keep it until we can get fiber or high speed.

Hughes reps have always been accomodating and professional. I've never had a problem with the equipment and it works great unless there's real heavy, pouring rain or heavy snow which affect the signal so I just go out and brush the snow off the dish.

I terminated the service because when my son arranged for a family Zoom meeting for every Sunday even when I added more data the meeting were buffered and the voice did not work. When tried it on my neighbors Spectrum cable internet it worked much better. I believe it also costs less.

HughesNet charged us over $600 they put the satellite on the roof where it looked awful then they put the router in an upstairs back bedroom not explaining that walls interfere with service. After literally 5 hours on the phone they agreed to come and move it closer to the tv and computer for only $200. I never used it once asked for it to be canceled which cost me $200. Still waiting 6 weeks for the $300 refund they promised. Worst service and customer service ever.

I have had trouble with your service since it was installed. The service is nonexistent if there is a cloud in the sky. The internet go out, the tv go out and after being on the phone for an hour or more trying to resolve issues, they say our internet is down. I got a message on my phone that says our bill wasn’t paid when it is automatically taken out of my account. Yesterday I got a message saying my phone wasn’t registered, whatever that means.
I am a senior citizen and I can’t go on with the nonsense I have put up with since I got this service. Since AT and T is not in this area I am stuck with this. I am worried that I will need physical help and will not be able to use the phone to get help. My cell phone can’t get service most of the time so if I need to make a call, I have to drive down to street to get it to work. This would be a bad situation if I were to fall and couldn’t get help. I would appreciate your response. So far I can’t say that anything that you have said is something I can rely on.

Due to suspicious activity on my bank account, which caused my account to be blocked, I requested an extended few days to pay my bill. The service was allowed and the call was handled professionally. My due date was changed without a problem.

They shut your connection off well before bill is due. Way overpriced, $104 / 15 gigs is a joke. Others offer 100 gigs for $86. Can't stream anything because the connection sucks and constantly buffering and then you run out of data before really getting to do anything. Customer service doesn't care if you stay or go, no customer appreciation of any kind. They have changed the name of the account holder (my account) 3 times and will let anyone make changes to the account. They don't give a damn about their customers or apparently making money. Worst internet provider ever!! Rather have dial-up, it's just as fast.

I am not getting the speed I am paying for! Your tech did nothing!!! I was on the phone with your tech for at least 30 minutes and he told me to call back when we had clear weather. I informed him that the weather did not make a difference!!

I was given excellent instructions to set up an online account and clarify Bill paying arrangements. I was surprised by the quality of the service provided. It was way beyond my expectations and I felt confident that I could discover whatever I needed about my service whenever I needed to.

The first lady I spoke with I had much difficulty having a conversation. It was very difficult to understand her and I had difficulty understanding her. The second lady was much easier to understand and seemed more interested in resolving my issue and under the circumstances was very helpful. Overall, my experience was very frustrating and as a shared with the second lady, I feel you and other companies take advantage of certain situations to make a profit and this is been my experience with you lately.
I am not sure if the issue was resolved as the second lady said she would give me a call with your company's overall decision and have not yet heard from her, or your company. I would not refer any friends or family members to your company because of your lack or customer service recently. My initial contact with your company was more beneficial and I feel the customer service agents were much better at resolving my issues and your services are very expensive.

My internet service was installed on on 11/10 and I have been on the phone every day since with either Hughes Net, Amazon Prime video or Samsung TV. Because each one points the finger at the other. I have unplugged, plugged in, reset everything that can be reset, bought a new TV, bought an ethernet cable, spent 51/2 on 11/21 approx. 7 1/2-8 hours total on the phone (my cell phone because the Hughes net phone breaks up or disconnects). I have been told that there is nothing wrong with my Tower or internet connections, I just cannot stream & I cannot use my phone because of the breaking up or dropping calls, that is when it is connected to the internet. Once I had internet service but no phone service??? The problem is still not solved.

Back in October we had a tech come out and fix our dish. I was not informed of the $125 technician charge so when my bill came through I called Hughesnet. Explain what was going on. The guy told me that I could Go on the website and dispute it. I called back in because there was no place to dispute it on the website and was informed that they do not handle that way. Spoke with the supervisor. She took care of it. This month after I pay my bill on the 16th, I didn’t receive the charge of $81 to my bank account that I didn’t authorize. When I called then I kept being told that it was a valid charge but they couldn’t tell me why I was charged to $81.
I spoke with the supervisor who would not do anything. Still cannot tell me why it was $81. I explained that I had already paid my bill for the month. Why was I being charged again and even more than what my bill was? Now I have to dispute it with the bank because of the fact that this was an unauthorized charge for the second month in a row.

Laura/Delta repairs. I scheduled repairs and in doing so I was never informed that said repairs were not covered by acts of nature. I specifically stated damage was storm related. Scheduling agent never said there would be a cost for repairing or that they would be such an unreasonable cost of $1400. I would have chosen to cancel service ($355) compared to paying an unreasonable service charge. I canceled 11/27/2020.

Hughesnet advertises one thing but the service and internet speeds are well below what they advertise and when you call to get it resolved and possibly see about coming to a resolution they offer no help.. I pay 160 dollars a month for 50 Gb of data. Never receiving anywhere close to there so called advertised speeds. Then when you call to speak to someone they always blame it on the clouds.. It can be a sunny clear day and I still do not have good reception of internet speed. How can you charge someone full price for a service when I'm not receiving full service.. I am in the process of finding a lawyer to dispute this poor customer service and poor contract service. I reached out about this before and all I get is a survey to fill out. I will continue to send in these reports and every chance I get to post reviews of the true poor service that hughesnet offers.

I rated the experience a 3 because it took several calls and 1.5 weeks to get service restored. The first scheduled tech did not show up or contact us to say was not coming after all. The 2nd tech (from ND) was GREAT. He contacted us right before coming and then he did an outstanding job!

Tech support was awesome. Upgraded my plan to correct issues but I am still having the problem. Speed is way too slow. It’s buffering and droppytge station way too much. Not happy with the satellite performance for the cost of service.

You are the best and I referred new people to you. I never been denied from you. You always helped me when in need. My signal always good, well bad storms delay it, but always right back on fast. By any chance I can get free tv local channels by you? My neighbor wants his Hughesnet activated. He already have the dish from you. I'm always trying to get people to subscribe to you. 7 star convenience store has it with you now. Can I get a discount every time I get people to apply to you?

I never gave you permission to use my credit card for a payment. I only used my credit card for the initial installation and never gave you permission to charge the second month to my credit card. Any attempt to bill my credit card again and you will be hearing from my lawyer. I want a bill sent to me monthly and I will pay by check.

Because of the pandemic, I have to use HN more for zoom meetings and it makes it difficult to find ways to try not to use my data during the day so I don't use my allowed usage before the end of the month. If I could afford the the other plans no problem but to pay for satellite and WI-FI (don't have a bundle package due to when I purchased each) separately it not good for my family. And to state that 2 am - 8 am to get the best usage...WOW!

I had another internet service which would go out on cloudy days and when it rained, but we just recently had a bad storm and guess what? I still had internet service. You go Hughes Net gen 5. Love it so much, and the speed is fantastic too. Thank you.

There was a problem with our internet service. I called and was told that I had used my monthly data. I purchased a larger plan. In two days we used the extra 10gb of data. Then 2gb were added and used in 4 hours. There was an obvious problem. On 11/20 or 11/19 I was told the technical team would contact me within 3 business days. So on 11/25 I waited all day. I called the support center 3 times and told the tech team would call by 9pm. At 8pm I had not received a call. I called back and thankfully Angel answered my call. He listened, read the previous notes and solved my problem. Of the multiple techs answering the phone he was the only person who listened and fixed the problem. He saved my account with your company.
If there was no way to solve the issue or the tech call that wasn’t going to happen, didn’t happen, I would have a new provider before the end of the year. Thank Angel for my continued account. Review my case and explain the problem with your technical team. And why a customer was lied to over and over. I’m embarrassed for your response and you should be as well.

I've been with HughesNet for many years and have found them to be very reliable, very responsive to problems and extremely helpful. Tech support is knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The service is great with very little downtime like during severe weather. Most time storms and heavy weather cause no problems, but when they do it's usually of short duration. All in all, I'm very satisfied and plan to continue my association.

He did not try to brush me off, he checked my account, and did some testing and was able to explain very clearly what my problem was and helped me with a solution that helped me and I am very pleased with HughesNet. We bought the equipment, went with the recommended plan based on our planned activity, virtual student, two phones. We exceeded the usage maximum within two weeks. We upgraded plans, received three free tokens, later bought two $15 tokens ourselves. We ran out of gb again today. We updated to the top tier, but even that is going to leave us short. We would have to buy $75 in tokens to cover our estimated usage. Basically $225 per month just for internet access on two phones and a laptop. There is nowhere else to go. I am tied into Hughesnet and there are no other internet providers on this mountain. Now what?

2 devices in my house cannot be online at the same time. Anytime I call them us there is new song and dance....for more money.... Big mistake to switch from Dish to these guys.... Worse than that is their customer service agents...

I called HughesNet, concerned that I would have to suspend service because it was becoming too costly for me. I am on a fixed income. After explaining my situation to the representative, we were able to come up with at least a temporary solution. He was very knowledgeable and so very helpful. Also, he was extremely pleasant to talk to and I appreciated that immensely.

Modem quit working called in was. Was told they would order one on 11/11. Called in 11/18 check status. Had trouble finding tracking number. Received modem on 11/20. Packer said shipped 11/18. Also told account would be adjusted. Will see if it is.

I have had no problems with Hughes Net in the previous two year period, during my contract. Have got good service, so have no complaint right now. When I called to speak with someone regarding billing a few days ago, it was resolved in a timely manner and Roy was very helpful.

In July 2020 I had a fire in the wiring in my RV where my WIFI is located. At that time I suspended my account as I couldn't use it until damages were repaired. It took until October to complete the repairs. I then called and reinstated my account. Because I am in a campground it closes in November. At that time I called to suspend it until April when I can return. I was told you can only suspend once per year. If I had been told this in the beginning I would have never used your service at all. Considering the fire was out of my control I don't think this should apply to me. I also don't think I should have to pay full price for six months when I cannot use the service. I will definitely cancel when possible & will not recommend your service to anyone!

I always experience a very high level of customer service from each and every representative that I have worked with. I wish that my internet was faster and that there were fewer stop and go incidents. My grand kids often complain about it when they visit.

Living at 9000 ft. in Colorado mountains we are limited for services and weather is always an issue here. This is true for other companies I have tried throughout the years. Service is fair, your techs good and find the problems, prices getting high for retired folks. So far, better than EarthLink, AT&T, etc. Cells phones do not work at my home even with a tower five miles away. We have lived though party line phones with three families and three tv stations only. So it is better.

Well as soon as I think it's been resolved then later on as the movies play it starts buffering again.. I watch YouTube and Prime Video only. It's usually in the afternoon and evening and night time. Thank you for your effort. Too bad my account on reflex 90.00 dollars off of December's bill. All that buffering uses gigabytes. So I don't have an answer.

I am on fixed income, both of us are almost 70 and disabled. I shop on the internet, and use it a lot. I needed to cut the bill. The rep helped find me a discount for 6 months. That will help for a while.

I chose HughesNet because my rural provider just had terrible speed of download/upload and HughesNet promised faster speeds for both. I'm happy with the results and I get many times the speed just as promised. I also get service at a better price than I was paying!

The customer service was great. Had me on hold but, updated me 2 times while he was working on my needs. Got back to me with a quick response and solved my problem. I was only on the phone for a short amount of time. Which to me is a plus!

Where I live Hughesnet was all I could get -- and it keeps me connected so it is doing ok. I don't do much email to stay connected to family. As long as I can send a email I am happy with the service.

No one can speak clear English, no one can get me the help I need, it's been 2 weeks and I can receive email but not send. Said my complaint has been escalated and I will hear from someone. Didn't happen. I would strongly suggest do not use Hughes Net with windows live mail or you will be SCREWED!!

If I signed up for a 2 year contract then why can’t I get the cheaper price for the 2 years. I think it’s annoying that I have to go back before the so called “6 month trial” period is over to sign up for another 2 years. I think it’s a waste of time. I would appreciate it if you can lock me in for 2 years at the 6 month price deal.

We upgraded our HughesNet from an older service to the Gen5 service and we can't even go back to the beginning of a show on our smart TV because it says we don't have enough internet. When I run diagnostics on the WI-FI connection to the TV all we have is HD. No 1080p or higher. When I run a speed test on my tablet and phone, I get 0 download, 55 upload, and a latency of 6. That's on the hug5g. That's not good enough and I may drop the service altogether if it's not fixed soon.

Lost our WiFi. Switched to phone service. Went to your website. Was unsuccessful in finding any way to live chat, call etc. No faq’s .Finally fixed it by unplugging and replugging modem. Tried to submit this and got message it failed.

I can not seem to be able to change my due date or even find out when it is and it is not consistent. It's different every month. I need to get that fixed. Thank you. Kelly

The only problem I have is when there is falling weather, it stops the service from working. Otherwise, my service is great it, also, works well when streaming. I would highly recommend Hughesnet to my friends and family. Thus, I am very pleased with Hughesnet!

My installer did a great job. HIs name was Joe. He was very polite, considerate of me and my home, and efficient in his work. I have had great service from the customer service department. I have also had great service from the voice department when I finally reached them. Twice I called and remained on hold for one hour each time before I finally hung up and gave up. The third time was charm. When I reached a person the service was very good. I don't really think the website is customer friendly, but the employees working in customer service are very good. I actually prefer the people contact over website usage. I've had the service about a month now, and have had good service from the equipment, now that the switchover issues are behind us. Thank you service people.

Any movie we watch has a serious amount of buffering going on. Didn't happen before, don't know what's going on. Can you fix the problem? With Century Link we did not have this problem. We have relocated the modem several times to no avail.

Customer rep was trying very hard to solve this issue. She gave it her all. Issue resolved issue on its own. There was a typhoon going on somewhere. Her equipment was not responding. First I wasn't told my unlimited plan wasn't all high speed data. Second I told the sales person I was using it for TV and it is so slow and erratic the picture is poor or it tells me I have a poor connection, I can only use 1 device at a time because of the poor quality of connection.

I am not very happy with HughesNet, as their Gen5 service is not what it is advertised to be! It is extremely slow, my data on my phone and tablet is much faster, and the ability to stream tv apps such as Amazon Prime Video does not work. NetFlix works without a problem. I have called and spoken with technical support to no avail. Unfortunately I am locked into a two year contract! I’ve had HughesNet before, and I see no difference with their service now, as before. I am very unhappy!!!

Very slow internet. Not good at all. Trying to watch movie and it’s breaking up the movie to buff and all my data is use up so I don’t have any of it. Runs very slow and takes forever to get want I want or watch. Very unhappy tried all services.

Ok Hughesnet I had y'all service almost 3 years and it was an auto payment. Though it's not the best service we had but I was patience user. I cancelled it last August 2020 and send y'all the whole package of modem. Now I got a letter from collection agency that I owed $216.50. First thing, I didn't receive any notice from you or bill that I owed. Second, when I called the representative he said they charged of $216.50 because I sent the box with incomplete receiver. And I swear that I checked many times and followed the instructions on the paper how to send it to y'all. But screwed me and trying to ruin my credit history and let me pay something with no service. I will not recommend to anyone your company. You guys just screwed people.
