I canceled this twice once last Sept 1919 and again this year. I am still getting bills. Please stop sending me these bills. I've had to put my husband in a nursing home and I don't need this every month. Thank you and God Bess.

Excessive buffering! We often have to stop watching a movie or other program because the program is interrupted every minute or two. This occurs most frequently in the evening. The service technician we worked with was hard to understand and was asking us to do things that were above our level of competency.

We decided against using Hughesnet because the installation department canceled our installation without even calling us. WE WERE HERE ALL MORNING AND AFTERNOON RECEIVING PHONE CALLS FROM EVERYONE BUT HUGHESNET. Obviously, no one cared to call and then lied to say they called. We do not want this kind of disrespectful, dishonest service.

When I spoke with the Hughesnet sales rep I was assured that their service would support my ZOOM calls. The agent also assured me that he personally used multiple hours per day of video watching and never exceeded his data allowance which was the same data allowance level I was considering. After I subscribed and discovered that ZOOM calls with 3 or more participants had occasional broken audio and that the video was mostly frozen. Before the end of my first month of service I called to cancel and was told that I was subject to a substantial early termination fee despite the fact that I was fraudulently enrolled in a service that did not match what I was assured would meet my described expectations. Each month I quickly exceeded my data allowance and was subject to the throttling.

All programs on Netflix watching live or recording to watch later. Your agents tried explaining about data points?? Also, everything is very slow to respond to commands, meaning tv and computers. I get messages like 'please wait while video buffers and please wait preparing video for playback' and this has been happening since the first day of installation?? This is just not acceptable.

We called in for help. To connect a newly purchased computer to the network. My sister has been laid up for the past 22 months fighting cancer. Arianna (sp). Was wonderful! Fixed our problem in a heartbeat, knew how to fix it and was such a pleasure to speak to her. She gets 5 stars!!.. J.A.B.

It sucks as there is no internet, the only you can get internet is when the leaves are off the trees and you are in the middle of a field. I the middle of a dessert and you are cutting for help so you can receive a signal.

We do not get very good service in our area. We've had a couple of situations where we needed service and it says that we have service with no connection. Very disappointed with HughesNet even after we have paid for this service.

Installation was disappointing: Did not locate the modem centrally where we desired. Hit an electric line while drilling access hole and blew a circuit breaker (did not reset breaker or repair insulation on Romex cable). Left input cable draped across access door to circuit breaker box. Streaming standard services is also disappointing: we have not been able to stream Youtube or Netflix without delays, interruptions, or instructions to try again later.

Your horrible service and customer service has ignored my multiple verbal and written request to a cancel my Account! Both times I was actually able to get to a person in the phone, I told them to cancel my account, they spent 10 minutes ignoring me and trying to change my mind then disconnected the call and didn’t cancel my account! HughesNet is using COVID as an excuse to also not Cancel my Account and has ignored all my written requests to cancel my account! The guys that dismantled the equipment to send it back to the company told me that they are not in charge of the equipment. They said that I had to send by mail. I called the company and they said an opposite version. They told me, they will call me to resolve the situation. My case # is **.

Internet service is terrible. WiFi will not stream a song without stopping 3-5 times. It is impossible to stream a movie. The system will not even start to streams movie without stating no internet available. Even very slow DSL from AT&T was better.

I was very discouraged that the previous tokens were removed. If I pay it earn tokens they should remain available to me. We pay a high premium and should have some benefits. Thank you. Cameron did a fine job but could not give a suitable answer.

I had the service for a total of 1 day before I called to have them cancel my account. It did not work at all! It was super slow and the quality was poor! They wanted to still charge me 400 cancellation fee! They ended up charging my account 218.00 and I had to fight with them to get it back after being told it was already sent to my account 6 days ago prior. Spoke with a supervisor and she told me nothing was processed on the account for a refund and she was submitting it now today!

I drove 187 miles, 3 hours, took the day off of work and you never showed up. I was told by your customer's service rep that they will call shortly and still show up for installation and (6) hours later they called. I called at 7:59 am the day of installation to verify the time. The woman on the phone said between 8-11 am. She repeated my address in Lyndon Station.
At 9:06 I received a text that they will be there by 10:00 am for installation. At 10:06 the installer called and asked for directions. He had my address in Stevens Point, about 85 miles away. He said he will be there in about a little over an hour since he was given the wrong address. At 10;08 he called back and said he will not be out today. I called your HughesNet just rep and he said they have the wrong address. I told him that the mistake was on HughesNet and the installer was given the wrong address since earlier the woman from HughesNet verbally gave me the correct address over the phone when I called to find out when they will be out.
The customer rep said I will receive a callback and the installer will re-route an installer and will be out the same day. He said "stand by. They will call you shortly". 6 hours later I received the call at 5:03 pm. They called to reschedule. Please read the 1st sentence again. I gave you (1) star because I could not pick (0). What is taking a day off of work and driving a total of 370 miles worth to you. (I would love to hear your response.)

The tech support was wonderful. But once again my internet is down and I have to go through the routine to reset it. I’m never sure from one day to the next, how much interrupted internet I’m supposed to endure. This has been going on nearly a year now. I now have had 5 days of horrible service, movies stop and load up to 9 times, No Netflix.

My June internet bill was overdue. When I tried to pay it online, it took FOREVER for the sites and screens to finally change and then it never would let me know whether or not my payment went through and also HughesNet never sent me a confirmation email of any kind. This is the slowest internet that I have ever experienced and I am extremely disappointed and sick of this slow service. So then I finally had to call in and try to pay my bill over the phone and as of right now I am, unbelievably, STILL WAITING because I was told to call back IN AN HOUR to find out whether or not my payment was successfully processed.
This is unacceptable, and at the VERY LEAST, obviously HughesNet should offer me some amount of monetary discount, or again, at the very least, deduct some from my current bill or in the immediate future. I am totally fed up and am still wondering just why on this accursed and doomed earth it takes over 2 hours of my time to try and pay this one bill.

Talked with Scott and told him what I had been paying on previous bills and no 5 dollar charge. Scott said it was for a paper statement, and I had to pay or put on a credit card. He spoke with someone and they said they would bill us every three months instead of every month for paper statement. Not happy with this and will probably be looking for other internet service.

The representative didn't know why my automatic credit card payment for June wasn't completed. The rep was fantastic! The credit card that I use to pay my HughesNet statement was current so the rep was able to charge a one time payment. I always pay my credit card balance usually early so I am not charged interest. Now I am going to make sure that I check each month. Oh, later I called the credit card help and they have no record of denying a pmt. to HughesNet; the problem must be in your billing department.

I rely on Hughes Net to keep me informed and reliable. I have had connection for over 3 years and have experienced very little problems. Some neighbors have AT & T and their services cannot match the quality of Hughes Net.

Honestly these people are crooks. 2 years ago I signed up being promised it would provide high speed internet to stream TV. After 1 1/2 years I found out that the system wasn't installed properly and after it was corrected it still doesn't work. Worse yet they knew it all along. False advertising.

I have been a customer of Hughes net for over 6 years. I have records of numerous phone calls and speed records under 1. Every time I call the only thing they do is offer an upgrade and a 24 month contract. After extremely poor service for 6 years I would be an idiot to sign up for more. I have emailed the executive of customer service. If I don’t hear back I will go to the state attorney general, my congressman and the FCC. $7000 spent for smoke signal internet. They don’t have customer service people. They have sales staff.

During the initial call I suggested speed test due to noticeably slow download capacity..while setting up new computer. I mentioned a speed test should be initiated and the tech did and said it was ok in a sarcastic way like I did know what I was talking about. I have been a customer for years and pay a lot.. Is there a way to optimize my system. Today needed help with completing online downloads and those techs said the same thing, I could activate share screen to get assistance I need. Unhappy.

Installation tech was great. However, when I originally signed up for service, I asked to have our dish specifically mounted on a pole since my husband did NOT want a dish mounted on our logs. When the tech arrived, he said he did not have a pole with him. I was disappointed since I believe they should have all of the equipment necessary if this is an option to the customer. My husband reluctantly allowed the dish to be mounted on the house, however, not very happy with it.

No clue about question(s) specifically technical questions. Perhaps more training for employees. Instead of turning clients away to pursue other technical help. I was completely dissatisfied and disappointed with “help” from support team. I spoke with 4 team members who were unsure about assisting thus turning to other technical assistance. The technician sent to set dish up was more capable to work with software & hardware that employees at your help desk could possibly ever acquire. Your help desk has no clue.

False advertisement. You said my internet would run at 25 meg speed. Running a speed test shows your system actually runs at 16. I checked my friend's computer who suggested I get Hughes and his is also running at 16 megs.

I have almost always received excellent customer service from employees at Hughes. One time of the almost 2 years I had a rude customer service rep. I wish your prices were lower for those of us on a fixed income but I wouldn't trade for a lesser company. Hughes has always been helpful and exceeded my expectations. I don't mind the price for the excellent service I have always received. The only thing that Hughes could do that would impress me and keep me as a customer for life is cutting low income families a break of 50% as Amazon has done. I believe some other companies are starting to do this also. That's the only thing that would make me happier. Thank you.

The upload and download speed of HughesNet's internet is far below the average speeds provided by other internet providers. HughesNet allows for a short burst of internet at about 25 Mbps to fool speed tests, but then the download speed essentially levels out at near zero. Also, in my opinion HughesNet has entered into agreements with streaming services to give streaming customers priority and greater bandwidth so long as they are streaming video. Therefore, the average person, who is not binging on video, essentially has no bandwidth. In my opinion, if you contract with HughesNet you will regret it. HughesNet is the absolute last provider that anyone should contract with.

We lose signal all the time and it comes and goes. Network errors a lot. The price is never the same. It keeps changing month to month. We have a house phone as well and when internet is down phone is down as well.

My rep was the most kind and caring rep I've ever had. She actually help in my time of need. She clearly understood my issue and way above and beyond her call them help. She needs to be a trainer for your reps. I've talked to a lot of people from this company but she listened to my concerns... didn't second guess my need. Listen and fixed my problem. This rep deserves every 10 I have her in the survey.

The service tech was not knowledgeable. He never hooked my service to the interent. Once I got it hooked up, it would connect to my MLS and the speed was extremely slow. The service tech couldn't get anything to work, but he enjoyed his $99.00 install fee. Now I'm sixty and I have to climb up on my roof to uninstall the dish and send it back to the. I would stay away from this company as their customer support is horrible. My neighbor is also removing his system installed on the same day.

Service call/poor reception/6/8/20. Service tech arrived early for appointment which was great. He was very thorough, knowledgeable, and got us up and running in no time. He was very polite and friendly. The phone call I made prior to appointment went well. The tech I talked to was friendly and polite. Happy to help. The installation was excellent service. The reliability and speed are sub par. The HughesNet test feature says the 20 mbs and is excellent, but that is not accurate as the real world internet is too slow to even stream Sling. I understand the Covid load on the internet, but that should be reflected in the test feature! The real world test is close to 1Mbs.

Service is good -- just that monthly charge keeps jumping up -- never the same even after talking with a rep -- my old provider never kept changing my bill like you do. What's up with that ? My monthly bill should stay as quoted not continually jumping up every few months. No other internet providers do that to their customers.

I asked to have each of 2 Hughes satellite accounts speed raised. Despite my cell phone dropping the call 3 times, this got accomplished. The 3 reps I spoke with were patient, helpful and spoke understandable English. Thank you Hughes Net.

If the crapiest service in the world was an option, that is the review I would make. The service I received was absolutely garbage. I only had it for 2 months and couldn't even get connected a fraction of that time. Then when you call for them to make it right, they absolutely refuse to do so. And somehow, even when you don't have the $400 disconnect fee in your account, they are able to take it out of the debit card on file. They promise "fastest speeds". I was failing tests for school because of connectivity problems. I called on multiple occasions to fix the problem. I literally did everything they told me to while I was on the phone with them. I STILL HAD CONNECTIVITY ISSUES!!!
When trying to reason with them, they literally do not do anything to make it right. Just constant apologies and still, NO SERVICE!!! None of the reps (that I've spoken to) speak very clear English and don't even understand what you say half the time. THIS IS THE BIGGEST TRAP YOU WILL EVER STEP INTO!!!! Save yourself the time, hassle, struggle, and MONEY and stick with anyone other than this dumpster crap fire of a company. They do NOTHING to keep their customers either. They just want to steal from them.... I am so pissed I walked into this.

Before Covid 19, customer service was horrible. Barely could understand what techs were saying, they didn’t understand or listen to what I said. Most recently, everything went perfect and my call was short, precise, and to the point. Hopefully, it’s staying this way! Internet remains unstable, never know what you're going to get.

First, I had Hughes between 2000- 2010. I was living in rural locations and subscribed to the fastest package available for my business. It was fantastic. Within the last week a system was installed for home use. From the beginning the speeds were lower than the 25mbps promised. Generally around 19mbps. That was acceptable as it was significantly better than what Frontier/Ziply DSL over copper was offering at 3mbps. However, even at higher speeds the performance for streaming and downloading files and apps was significantly worse.
I spent hours optimizing my PCs and Tablet, in addition to spending much time on the phone with a tech. Which, by the way, could only be reached on the automated phone system through billing. Otherwise saying, "Tech support" created an endless loop on their phone support system. After talking with support three days in a row, around 10:30AM each day, we optimized settings by changing them in the modem. Then the speeds were much better than promised, around 30mbps, but small downloads I attempted were crawling. For example a 6mb file took about fifteen minutes.
Within a couple of hours after talking with tech support, which was friendly and helpful, the speed would slow to about 1/2 and by 5:00PM the speed was below 1mbps! We barely scratched the 20gb of our data allowance. The Hughes App on my tablet reported "99%". In the end this became much more trouble than it was worth, and after a fight with customer service to waive the $400 contract cancellation fee, after a week of poor performance that did not meet up to the advertised promise, we cancelled the service. We are back to Frontier/Ziply DSL over copper, and it is working much better.

We have called customer service at least 4 times. We have never been able to get a phone call or use our phone the tv just shows a circle with no connection the computer acts like dail up it is the worst service. They do nothing to correct the issue at all. I have sent my information to an attorney. I want my money back since I have never had any service at all.

Everything went well. Hughes fixed the dish on the roof and made the service where it worked better. When I called the customer service they also helped with the problem I was having. The only thing that could stand improvement is the telecommunication. It took three days to get ahold of someone that could help me. I was put on hold and the after a few minutes it would hang up on me, but after I did get to someone my problem were fixed in a very timely manner.

We just started on June 8th with service. Our installer was great and very thorough. I was hoping for our old phone number, but was given nothing but the run around. I was told prior the we could have our old phone number. Well we have a new number and I’m not happy. The customer service is difficult to understand and there is a lot of background static when trying to talk with them. I’m somewhat satisfied with the product.

The HUGHES NET keeps acting as default. I have the VERIZON jetpack. The jets pack is what I want 98% of the time. The Hughes net takes over. ** My cell cannot work on line outside of my house when HUGHES NET is working. It can when Verizon is working. And, Hughes Net takes over, so, I cannot get online outside. I need to have the HUGHES NET not work as default. This is a problem. I will call Hughes NET to, hopefully, resolve this issue.

Hughesnet’s high speed internet is weak. It is slow and shows blurry images when playing a Youtube video. You don’t get the quality of the speed you are paying for. When I saw the advertisement about High Speed Internet for $68 per month, I decided to give it a try, but I was disappointed on the first day of using the internet after realizing how slow it is to download anything even the we search and how blurry the YouTube videos are.

First off installation was done very neatly and the technician was very nice and efficient. But since then I have been trying to work this out, went on chat with four different reps who went through their troubleshooting scripts, even got to the 3rd party people who had me change more settings. So far I get poor internet quality, on my desktop if I set it at 360, youtube is constantly buffering. My Ipad is just about useless and laptop the same, cannot get streaming on either of my two blueray players both with wifi or direct connect with data lines to the modem. My Iphone often tells me that the Modem is not connected to the server. Which tells me the modem must be the problem. but so far no go with Hughes Net. I have to say the people there are friendly and try to be helpful but they are limited in what they can do. I tell them my problem they say the system passes all their tests, my problem continues. I believe I will be canceling my service.

Service down. Hughes scheds a tech for 4/24. No show. Hughes says he didn't have parts, resched for 4/28. Tech shows by surprise pm 4/27 and I rush home 150 miles. Checks all connections, replaces receiver on dish. 2 mos later service down. Hughes rep schedules tech for 3 days later. Out of work 3 days for me. Hughes auto prog says tech not assigned. I have to go to live rep (difficult) and finally confirms tech is assigned and promises will be there.

The only reason I got this was so I could work at home otherwise I don't need internet. I was never given the internet speed or quality that I was promised when I sign on. Now I am stuck in a 2 year contract that is useless to me! It has severely impacted my work performance and if not for having an incredible manager I might have already been let go. I have also had to be put on anxiety medication because of all of the stress of dealing with this horrible internet service and trying to keep up my work responsibilities. I recently was secured a hotspot through T-Mobile from our IT team and it works great! I don't think it is fair that I have to pay a $400 termination fee for something that I haven't even been able to use the way that they promised!

We been having problems for a while. They sent one tech out while back. Said dish was out of alignment. Said adjusted it, checked and left. Yesterday we had problems again. I had to be gone from our business. A tech was sent out, said dish was out of alignment. So is dish moving or what. This morning I test signal strength and it hits up high around 20 then starts slipping lower and slips down around 8 or 9. We depend on this system to run our business and need it to work constantly. The tech here yesterday said he had it fixed and left. My help talked me and said it was still not working right. I called the tech, he said he could not go back. Need something that works all the time.

The value vs cost of service is low. I recently discovered that even a slight weather event will mean the loss of service. It is understandable that extreme weather would cause a minor or limited disruption of service. I lost service for a little over 20 minutes during rain showers. In my opinion, HughesNet should be considered when literally no other option exists. Giving credit where credit is due, company personnel were very friendly and took the time to answer all questions. The installation man went above and beyond to ensure everything was right and we were completely satisfied with the entire process.

In the end, the tech did a good job of replacing the modem, moving the dish and calibrating the system so I have good service now for streaming and text. He was polite and communicated well. He came in the morning, but couldn't wait for us to get the post set to move the dish. He said he would be back at 3:30, but didn't return until 5:30, I would have appreciated a phone call so I knew about the delay, but I know that he's probably overwhelmed with work due to Corona virus. I have never experienced the "up to" 25 Mbps speed advertised by Hughesnet. It usually averages from 2 to 3 Mbps , and many times slower. Like today I was disconnected from an important Zoom meeting (even voice only) three times and finally gave up. Also, I cannot watch an Amazon program without extended buffering. I have called regarding improving speed many times over the last two years, and nothing seems to help.

I recently subscribed to DISH TV services and they highly recommended pairing their service with HughesNet. That was a gross mistake - Hughes' Internet and Streaming services are at best substandard - streaming TV and Movies was a nightmare - every program looped after 2-5 minutes of streaming and the Internet service was equally disappointing. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND EITHER DISH OR HUGHESNET TO ANYONE AND WILL NEVER SUBSCRIBE TO THEIR SERVICE(S) AGAIN. I called because of an internet outage. At first the CSR didn't have any information, then finally came across with the explanation that 'they' are working on the system. At 9 p.m.? I was trying to finish up work at that time and was unable to do so because of this outage. Why during peak hours in the evening? I want a credit as to this outage continuing on and off all night. I have been a client for approximately 5 years, I reside Canada equipment in NY. Hughesnet bans my account for identity fraud, I don't even know if they are accusing me of identity fraud or identity fraud has been perpetrated upon ME. So five times I have called or chatted with Hughes Net support, as my account is locked I have zero internet. Five times I have been told to expect a call back in five days, I wait five days and call back again. Five times I have contacted them, 5 times I have received no response.

My Hughes Net service went out on 6/4/2020. I am 87 and I just got out of the hospital, so I didn't feel like calling until 6/6/2020. Homer said a tech would be out between 11am and 2pm on 6/9/2020. No tech called or came out today so I called back. Amy said the tech could not reach me on my Hughes Net phone. Of course not, that is why I gave Homer my mobile number. I give my mobile number to Amy who is going to contact the tech. Amy tells me the tech will be out between 2 and 4 pm. I call back because the tech did not come.
Now, Christy tells me the tech could not reach me on my Hughes Net phone. Of course not, that is why I keep telling you to call me on my mobile number. Christy recites her script perfectly and asks if there is anything else she can do for me. Seriously, my Hughes Net phone and internet do not work! Why do they want to make this so difficult? Because they do not want customers that expect their service to work. Just pay the bill and be happy.

I knew satellite internet could have intermittent speeds, but this is pretty bad. It is nearly impossible at times for me to do work through my work's VPN system at our cabin where we've installed Hughesnet. I've had to bump off and use my cellphone's hotspot just to send/receive files at times. It is also not letting me use my security webcam, it only lets me log into the webcam when I am within the home network. I cannot access it remotely, which defeats the whole purpose.

Speeds are 99% WORST in the WORLD! I am leaving mine open 100% of the time just to get my worthless plan. Complaints go NOWHERE with Hughesnet. It's like they turn your plan back on for 24 hours when you call to see why the speed is 1-2 M, instead of the 25 M promised. Will continue to leave it open 24/7 just to get 100% of "the plan" I pay for each month. Can never recup the upfront costs, which is what Hughesnet seems to count on. I was sold a Hughes Satellite Internet package that was guaranteed to interface with my dish equipment. The first home visit dish technician could not get the Hughes equipment and the dish equipment to work in tandem to bring me the Internet. A second dish home visit technician could not make the equipment from dish interface with the Hughes system. He said, "The Hughes equipments could interface with your dish equipment." I called Hughes customer service and spent hours on the phone trying to get someone to rectify this problem. He gave up and blamed the dish equipment for failing to Interface with the Hughes equipment. I was left with no Internet service from Hughes and a useless satellite on my roof.

At the end of May, Art -representative for Hughes Net, told me that on June 6th I should call and get Hughes Net to change me to a 1 year contract since my 1st year of my 2 year contract would be over. Then I could call and cancel for $120.00. On June 8th I called to do this and talked to Luis ** who was VERY uncooperative and rather rude. I asked 4 times to talk to a manager and he refused to send me to one. I called back to ask for a manager and was supposedly sent to one but got nowhere with her and she sent me to another section of Hughes Net.
I was on the phone over an hour waiting for some kind of answer and I kept asking if I could be switched to a one year contract and I finally got so frustrated, I finally told her I was going to hang up. Then I went to Hughes Net on the internet and tried to cancel my services and never could find where I could do that online. I went to the chat room and was told I had to call to do that. I called back and said I wanted to just CANCEL MY SERVICE. I was asked stupid questions to me at this point. I told them I hated Hughes Net thinking this might hurry the process up and guess what? It took almost an hour (short by 8 minutes) to finally get them to cancel my service. I was on the phone for over TWO hours trying to cancel my services. UGHHHH!!!! I will never use Hughes Net again and will tell anyone and everyone about how crummy your internet service and your customer service is!!!! The End!!

The tech that installed our service was worthless. He took a lot of shortcuts. We were told that the dish should be installed on the southwest side of the house. He didn't feel like running wire, so he installed it on the east side of the house. Our system is worse than dial up. The wifi on our phones only works about a third of the time. The computer runs like a dinosaur, so slow. The tech knew nothing about computers. In fact he left before the system was up and running. I think Hughes Net is a better company than the service we received. We would sure appreciate a rep. from Hughes Net to come check out our system, and see how bad it is. Thank you. Bruce

We had high hopes Hughes Net would be able to provide us consistent high speed internet service but unfortunately it is inconsistent in coverage. The tech dept has been very helpful but unfortunately their efforts have made little difference in improving the connection. We are unable to have a clear tv picture when trying to stream live tv. Hughes does not meet service promise of 20 mbps. Most common is 2-6 mbps. Disappointing as trying to stream a movie with no one else connected is always a gamble. Also, WiFi security cameras often go offline due to weak signal.

It took literally hours on hold and several days to get through to Hughes Net service representatives to cancel their service. When I did they made it almost impossible by trying to talk me out of it. I speak only English so that was a challenge as well. They made me remove the transmitter myself with no directions and I sent it back but still don’t know if they got it and I’m finally free of them. Service itself is fair at best but customer service is bad.

Wifi is spotty at best. Doesn’t work well enough to load Hulu. Trying to load any social media is horrible. Pictures are blurry and videos constantly lag or buffer. It just doesn’t work well enough to be worth the price or the time. There’s no consistency in service. It constantly drops WiFi in the middle of trying to do things. The service is extremely slow most of the time. The house phone constantly goes out of service and you can only hear half of what people say, and vice versa. It is very expensive for something that hardly works. If it's windy or the weather is bad it's hopeless.

It can not download a simple game on Xbox and when it can't it stops and says internet problems. It's pretty bad when hotspot on my son’s phone can download a game faster and also when you call and say slow internet problems they disconnect your call like they did me the other day 3 times in a row.

Using devices is a lot of waiting time to download and even perform simple operations. Streaming church services or other videos is just a run/wait operation until I get tired of it and quit. Whole system is just slow.

I got HughesNet because I have no choice with rural internet companies. It works okay 80% of the time. The thing I hate is the constant buffering especially with YouTube TV. If we could fix the buffering it would be 5 stars. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cannot get movies on Netflix. Keeps stopping and starting over or not starting at all. Gets stuck. Was told I need a booster. Dishnet & HughsNet both said system was updated. Still no improvement on receiving Netflix. The technician didn’t have any answers. I do not know why the wifi is not working for us. Very disappointed..

Satellite internet from HughesNet is awful. The service is awful, it cuts in and out. Horrible for streaming which is all we do. Takes forever to download anything, like hours instead of minutes. TV shows get grainy or just stop working completely and say no connection. My Amazon Alexa has major lag so she doesn't always understand, super annoying. I live in a rural area and this is the only provider available or I wouldn't have chosen them. I'm bummed there is a 2 year contract or I would cancel and just not have anything.

The installer was very knowledgeable and courteous. The speed to run TV is very erratic. Not very pleased with the performance. The TV continues to buffer at all times during regular TV and the picture is blurry while watching.

Beyond slow. 80s modem slow. Even submitting this review I have to wait and resubmit and wait and resubmit. Was told it would be almost as comparable to normal speed cable. Can only see basic Netflix. Anything else buffers endlessly.

The technician and installation went very smooth. Internet speeds are extremely slow. It reminds me of dial up from the 90s. Unfortunately, we do not have any other option for our area. When I signed up for service I specifically asked about the speed (I have never used satellite). I was told that “gaming” might have some problems. I told the agent that we don’t use the internet for gaming. The agent explained that everything else would be fine. I’m not sure what his definition of “fine” is but it is not the same as mine. I understand it is not cable, but for $59.99+ a month I expected a little faster downloading speed. I get faster downloads using my cell phone hotspot.
I did contact support via phone as well as through email. I tried the chat support 2x but that resulted in waiting over 45 minutes and when the agent entered the room it ended there. The phone and email support were very helpful and sympathetic to the slow speed. Since we are in a TWO YEAR contract we will just have to get used to slower speeds.

When it rains just a little bit I lose a internet. Streaming is not as told by the sales rep, can barely work from home during COVID. This is not what I was sold on from the sales rep. They said streaming would not be an issue, the only thing I would have a problem with is online gaming which I gave up.

You say I will get 25 and I get 10 to 15 mbps. Doesn’t seem to be enough for live streaming. Had to cancel Hulu because it's too slow. Internet speed is slower than I'm used to and Wi-Fi calling is spotty.

The service never worked from day one. I called To cancel services within the first week and the guy kept giving me the runaround. I wanted To just cancel the services. The technician that came out told me I had 30 days to cancel and not be held to the contract and when I called The guy that was giving me the runaround told me that I would Have to pay the 400 dollars to cancel from day one.. The service does not work here at all... and I want To send the equipment back.

I signed up for this service because I thought that it would give me a good connection speed for my tutoring on Wyzant.com and future online teaching this summer; however, even though they advertise fast speeds, I only get 3 or 4 Mbps instead of the 25 advertised. This is from the beginning (not after running out of data). I had a poor connection on my tutoring job, and YouTube videos constantly stop to buffer. I tested my speed on two different sites, but Hughes customer service told me to go to a particular site, which gives 25 Mbps. What good is that 25 possibility if Hughes bottles it to 3 or 4 when I'm on websites? That's just like someone telling you there's $100 available, but you only get $10.

I placed my order on Friday, and the installation was done on Saturday ~ great service. However, I called on Monday and asked to buy the equipment, instead of renting. They said I'd have to return the equipment, cancel my contract, and start over. This is a bad policy. It can be handled in office without all of this inconvenience. Also, I was never told that the first few days would be unlimited data. I've logged into my account, and I'm still reading 100% data, though I've certainly been using the internet and streaming.

Support is great, speed and bandwidth is very nice. Only downside when it rains it snows, no service. Not too happy with the price. They should offer a Veterans discount especially Disabled Veteran's it's not like we're rich. Other than that no complaints.

My service is slow to almost no service at all. I called tech support and was told it was my fault since I had too many programs using the service. I removed all but two programs and had little to no change. I got the internet service to use in conjunction with Dish for on-demand movies. I think I have been able to watch 1 on-demand movie during the day, but it rarely works in the evening. The Wifi on my phone hardly works at all. The Testmy.net says it is working with good speed, but a Netflix program that also tests speed only shows 2-3 Mbps. Which makes sense since Prime, Netflix, and Hulu rarely run due to slow internet. It is very sporadic. Hopefully, this isn't what I am stuck with for 2 years. Kind of ironic, when I tried to submit this request it said I had no connection.

Not enough network speed to stream, personal hotspot on iPhone is much faster, so every time we want to stream we turn off WiFi and use cell service. When I called to ask for boost, rep told me service was working just fine and there was nothing they would do to make it better. Very sorry I entered into this contract with Hughes.

Quality of service not what was assured before contract signed. Unable to stream live education programs as promised. Only last rep was honest and said live streaming not functional with satellite. I have missed many hours of needed education credits.

We got internet and it seems ok, but our phones do not pick it up very well. We will have to put up a booster. We have yet to hook up a computer or television. So it has not worked for us very well yet.

It is a little faster than phone service but for the price I was really hoping to actually stream more movies. And they actually take time to load even before my 20 gigs have been reached. Phone games lag a little too.

They advertise up to 25 mbps. We don't get even get 1 mbps. Most of the time it is .2 or .3. Waste of time and money. But now stuck in a 2 yr contract. RIP off. This submission failed several times to post. Lousy service.

We have been very disappointed in our internet Wifi service with HughesNet. We have been trying to give it ample time to prove that it works but have had poor performance with HughesNet modem and internet/Wi-Fi experience. I was not informed that my credit card would be charged 3 separate times, nor that I would be paying for mileage. When I called to ask about the charges I was told someone would call me back but they never did. Took 3 days of calling to reach someone who could talk to me.

I called about the service I am getting. Every time it rains, snows, gets humid my internet doesn't let me to connect. I always end up using my phone data and use it up because it won't let me load anything through Hughes. It has been worse ever since this corona19 started. I only get about a 6 or 7 download speed and lucky if get 1 on upload. Was promised that this would be at 25 download and 10 upload when requested service. I don't feel that you are living up to your agreement. I was also told weather would not be an issue. I work at home and this is jeopardizing my job.

Brand new internet at my house. Used it yesterday to work from home which is why I got the service, y’all promised it would work well. It does NOT. I spend 12 hours trying to work and I got nowhere. how I can pay online. I would like to address that the actual service of internet is not what I was told it would be. I was informed I could run multiple devices, but I’m only able to use one at a time. When using one device it constantly buffers. We never are able to watch a movie without having problems. Very slow much of the time. Some sites won't even open. They take so long. Lose internet every time it rains. Sometimes even Hughes internet won't open. We have several sites to check the weather but they won't open if it's a little cloudy.

I was told that my bill was being reduced and lowered for last month payment 10.00 off and new payment for June was being reduced. They rebilled me the 10.00 payment. I do not feel that this was fair to me. If you promise something you should keep your promise. Also I could have been notified about the change in my payment.

Could not connect to WIFI since last week. Resolved without any problems, very pleasant phone technician. Problem resolved very fast. Technician was very knowledgeable and concerned to fix the problem asap. As well as making sure I had the right up to date equipment.
