We were to get more credits promised by you & never got them yet? Your men picked up all your equipment in June. We have not have had your service since that! And on top of that we got a withdrawal September 19th for $212.

In its day my Hughes Net connection was great. It replaced dialup internet service. Now I have fiber optics connection through another carrier, and it's my current great service provider. New technologies arise.

Fast friendly service. The agent was very knowledgeable and helped me. Was very kind and understanding. Explained what he was doing to resolve the issue and did just that then sent me an email to let me know in writing what he did.

I called to get my Internet and phone turned on without a resolution. Waste of my time and HughesNet CS time too. I cancelled my bank card due to a hacking. I paid my bill online to HughesNet, 150$. My bank said that it was received on 9/9/20 by HughesNet. But because your CS cannot see the payment, they can't turn on my Internet service. Too bad there's no person in your entire company who can verify the payment I made. Wild, considering how difficult it is to launch a rocket into orbit for satellite services.

We have no phone service, technician that was here did not say one word about us losing phone service, we need someone TODAY to get back out here and get phone service to **, my husband has chronic health issues and we have to have the phone, please send him back, ASAP.

I called because I'm having problems with the speed of my internet. Spoke with tech support and he had me unplug my modem and plug it back to see if that will work which it didn't. Then he asked me to unplug it again and wait a few minutes..I later got frustrated and ask if he can just schedule someone to come by to check it out...He told me it will cost 250.00...so I said forget it. I will cancel my service next month and will sign up with Spectrum since I hear it's a better and faster internet provider with experienced technicians.

My children cannot use the HughesNet for virtual schooling, I have literally had to get hotspots from the school so they can attend class at Fairview Elementary and Middle School. I cannot use it to do Zoom sessions at PSU, or to teach my virtual courses at PSU. Not working.

I am happy with service. Only wish there were lower prices and faster speeds. Even though there is a long wait customer service is always good, they always solve my issues. The company seems willing to work with customers. Overall it’s a good internet service. I would recommend this service to family and friends.

This is at least the 5th time we have had to call because we were charged by Autopay. I pay each time by your online site. DO NOT WANT AUTOPAY FOR MY ACCOUNT AT ALL- EVER. If I have to call again, I will go with another company.

Called to pay bill. Talked with a Mr. ** which he couldn't answer. He did not answer adequate. I was on hold over 20 minutes total. Then connected to a Casandra. Very professional. Very helpful. Problems in the past have never been taken care of. The staff could learn a thing or 2 from Casandra (Texas). She needs a raise or promotion.

Not sure what happened but I was without internet for about a month. Despite new 2 routers it ended up being the router. The first tech visit was a complete disappointment. I understand the repair technicians are contracted out and although Hughesnet tried to help there was no response from them. The Help Desk was very cooperative working with me to correct my bill for that time period.

I Don't like that the Station changes Channels when it's recording another program, the program I'm watching goes off and plays the one being recorded. Why does it need to do that???? Just record the program and not bother me with all the pop ups and notices. And when I stop recording a program that I'm no longer interested in I can't stop it. And I prefer to have the tv come on to the same channel it was on when I turned it off.

I enjoy this company as you guys are the only company that worked in my area and the speed is great. When needed to talk to customer service they have always been great and were able to satisfy my needs plus more. I would recommend this company however I do wish I wasn't paying quite as much but overall I am completely satisfied with Hughes Net. I have nothing but good things to say about you guys. Thank you for providing me exceptional service. I look forward to being a customer for several years to come.

Reception was slow but acceptable to work from home at first 5 months right after purchase, at least could work daily but at slow poor speed with gaps and drops of WiFi. But since school started in August my connection disappeared altogether and service gives me runaround and excuses like the fires in California are causing no connection for me in West Virginia?

I needed to have faster internet speeds than my current provider offered so I reviewed Hughesnet's claims at 25 meg download and 3 meg upload speeds and decided to take the plunge. In actuality, Hughesnet under-performed my current DSL provider that operates at 760 Kbps/128Kbps in terms of screen to screen transition and page loading and execution. I tried streaming videos and they loaded very slowly, buffered a lot and I got messages like: "your internet network is unstable". I tried Zoom calls and got the same "instability" messages and was told by participants that my feed was distorted and breaking up a lot. Even my emails took way too much time to present.
The tech people I talked to were pleasant but did not have a clue and could only look at my HughesNet performance and spout that the SpeedTests were within acceptable norms. They did, however, agree to have a technician come out and inspect/test my system onsite. Unfortunately, I won't be traveling back to the site where the system is located for another month. Something is either wrong with my setup, my equipment or the Hughesnet offering. Now I am stuck paying for this mess for up to two years and I see no benefit in the investment. If I don't see improvement after their tech visit the WV BBB will be contacted.

I cannot receive a continuous feed from my live church virtual stream, it goes a few seconds stops, for a few beats then starts where it left off. Also, if I am tuning into a movie on Turner Classic Movies and it has already started, so when I follow the suggestion to go back to the beginning it tries to go back the says I cannot because I do not have to correct set up to do that. It worked when I had AT&T as was told when I signed up with Hughes that Hughes outperformed AT&T. But to watch my church service live or movies from the beginning I have yet to see how Hughes outperforms what I had before.

Wonderful customer service representatives. Highly recommend for less rural areas of service. Satellite dish required service is less reliable with mountain & tree interference. The company does try to make things right with their clients. More transparency regarding service charges and timelines would be appreciated. An overall great company. They just need to have improved weather friendly equipment for the four season states.

My internet went down. The tech walked me through several options until my internet was restored. She advised me to use the same procedure first, if my internet was interrupted. She then described different scenarios, and the appropriate solutions. She was very courteous, and informative.

I'm disappointed that HughesNet still has not increased the data to unlimited. With Covid-19 we have church services on-line. Also, many things need to be ordered on-line to keep people separate from one another. We only have 5 gigs of data a month, with another 5 gigs (free) at a time when we cannot be at the computer. Also, we have times when we cannot get into the internet.

There is no option to make a monthly payment (online). You need to give a cc (where I have to make a service charge/fee) or allow monthly debits to your checking account automatically. Why can't a customer make monthly payments themself online? (rhetorical question).

So much better than ATT DSL. Would love to have had the modem placed more centrally within our home to ensure coverage. HughesNet internet service is highly improved speed, upload, download and able to stream for the first time in six years!

Installer arrived at 8am yesterday. Install took about 2 hrs after issue trying to activate phone service due to improper information on Hughes part. Told could only set-up 2 items? "NO" TV's? Not even 1? Phone set-up install counted as 1 so only other item done was new iMac Desktop. No explanation or manual or anything except go online, register account. I could PORT my existing Phone Number and Keep it.... Did and told after request UNABLE? As for Internet/WiFi not told both 2.4 or 5 Network options? Called Support to find out which to use? Calls started at 10 am and did not end until after 5 pm!
On holds about 2+ hours and had a minimum of at least 4 calls DROPPED! Asked for Manager/Supervisor on at least 6 occasions not provided! Asked for Hughes Corporate Contact not ever provided at all? Twice with a Manager call dropped. Called back once to be escalated to Management Team only to be DROPPED? ultimately told by Management Team level I could not keep my existing Phone Number! Internet speed not what was told! As for TVs I would probably not be able to stream on Demand or Netflix Movies, without buffering issues? And I ABSOLUTELY would not be able to DOWNLOAD OR WATCH ANY 4K Movies PERIOD!
All of which I told when called to inquire and agreed to get service I WOULD BE ABLE TO DO? When asked about Cancellation due all unresolved issues told massive Early Termination Fees! HughesNet Gen5 is not HONEST! Customer Service and Support seemed totally 100% outsourced by very unknowledgeable personnel and dropping calls more than providing any help at all. No Dept's work together! Worst Internet Provider Period. I will be DROPPING HUGHES A.S.A.P. and I can get to actual Cancelation Dept. to return all EQUIPMENT for TOTAL AND COMPLETE REFUNDS!

The charges are still in collections and haven’t been removed from there. Also the other charges haven’t been taken off my account as I was promised ever since I started calling. This has been going on since August 29th 2020 and still no internet. I can’t get my work done, I can’t keep doing this. Give us 24 hours every time I call. Your company added charges that shouldn’t be on my account. My service never reset after I paid in August and you haven’t been able to fix it but you did turn it over to collections against me. Also on the 4th a lady was very rude. Told me I should pay my bill and gave me the collections number then my service would be restored and hung up on me. I called back. Another gentleman tried to help me and still 24 hours later after his supervisor promised the charges would be taken care of they are still there and no service. I just can’t no more. This is ridiculous. I have never had so many problems and treated so rudely.

Internet is almost always slow, seldom can we stream on TV without buffering. We lose the internet often, sometimes we can only get the internet if we are next to router. Almost every other day I have to reset my booster. I shouldn't need a booster being only 30 feet from the router. We had immeasurably better service before we upgraded to Gen-5.

We recently requested deactivation to our service. And 24 hours later, it still had not been reactivated. We had guests staying who were terribly inconvenienced by not having any service. It cost us a paying customer. If we could, we would quit having you.

I have had HughesNet for a long time now under contract of course. I never have had any internet. My laptop can’t even be used and even my phone will tell me no internet detected. I have called customer service several times about every 3 or 4 months only to get nowhere. This is the service I pay for? That’s not what I was told when I ordered it. I am under contract so if I am not getting what I was told I would get and y’all are getting paid each month would that not be STEALING. I am sick of HughesNet by far . As soon as my contract runs out I am done with HughesNet I can assure you. Thanks for stealing about 2000 from me.

I had to disconnect my service due to family matters. I returned my tower and box as instructed. However, somehow, miscommunication occurred and I was charged the $214.00 for box and tower. After speaking with the representative and assuring him that the equipment had been returned, he corrected my account and I was not charged. I have called twice in the past week trying to get help. I have such a slow signal that I cannot even log onto Hughes Net and surf internet on my phone. I have recently bought a fire stick, cannot watch a single thing on it. Cannot use my laptop. Twice someone was going to call me back. Neither have done so! I need help here!!! The wifi provided by our Hughes Net internet service is not any faster than the 4G Verizon Service that we started off with. I was told that it would be much faster but it is NOT! We have enjoyed some Netflix TV, which we had been afraid to try before.

My internet was saying that almost all the sites could not be reached. I called and talked to a representative who searched into the matter and informed me of a technical issue, and that it would be resolved shortly, which it was. The rep. was courteous, helpful and knowledgable.

I have had 2 appointments now for my installation and the first time I got a text an hour after the appointment time saying they had to reschedule. The second appointment I didn’t get a thing. Just bought a replacement desk computer thinking that the reason my old one wasn't working because of its age. It is frustrating to use Hughes Net because it is quite slow. Called to have the satellite adjusted so reception would be better. It isn't.

When my Internet seemed painfully slow, I called HughesNet Customer Service. The representative explained that I had exceeded the data level, but he was quick to offer and immediate solution to my problem. He provided an almost instantaneous boost to get me back on track, suggested to correct the problem in the future to increase the data level going forward. Since then, I've been very happy and no further problems have made working online trouble free.

This has been an awful experience from the very beginning!! And continues to be!! I tried calling customer service again twice today and now I get no answer! In the past, to help ease the pain, a promo has been applied to my account. I don't know what else to do now but contact the Better Business Bureau at this point. I needed help with where to find the Wi-Fi Password to get my Smart Phone on the Internet. Your agent was very helpful in getting this for me. I didn't realize it was also on the back of the modem. Hughes Net has always been there for me when I needed them.

The only problems that I have to report is the speed. My Internet speed is real slow and the price hike. I was paying 62.50 a Month and was told I will be paying 77.38 for the remaining 12 Months. I am a retired Senior Citizen and this price hike hurts. But otherwise when there's a problem with the service they will send a technician out as soon as possible although there's a service call. Otherwise I am very satisfied with the service and as of now I have intentions of renewing.

Internet not strong enough and too expensive to upgrade. I have grandchildren that need this for schooling. Nor powerful enough to run my TV. It can't handle all the devices that I have hooked up therefore your service isn't suitable for my needs.

I had to go through quite a few people, but finally referred to the expert team. A week later I received a call back with an answer to the problem. They'll be out Mon to replace my equipment. The last gentleman I spoke to was very nice, patient, and VERY smart. I was very close to changing companies, but the man last night changed my mind. He deserves a raise!

Have had only a few problems and were fixed while on the phone. Reps are great. And I got a discount for being on a fixed income. It’s gone off now but I figure if I ask I would receive another discount. They have put a line in for internet service. Was asked would I change told them no. They said it would be cheaper.

HughesNet is the only internet I can get. It is expensive and even at 5G speed it can be slow. Local service providers are very difficult to reach. The internet phone has a lot of outrage time or a lot of static.

I can't say I'm unhappy with our service but I'm not thrilled with it either. It takes quite a few minutes to be able to log on and then sometimes the speed is too slow and we freeze. I'm not blaming HughesNet directly, but I think it's a sad state of affairs when you choose to live in the country but can't get high speed internet. People in the cities shouldn't be the only ones who get it.

Service is not dependable. It just shuts down and does not work. Internet service will not operate video door bell. I have contacted customer service, and tried HughesNet WiFi booster, ran speed test, speeds were higher without booster. Many times I have run speed test and can’t it tells me to check internet connection.

Total dissatisfaction with Hughes Net. From day one I could not get enough power to watch one TV show. Extensive Time on the phone but no help. I intend to disconnect and with all that has happened with HN - I think you should be paying me instead of the other way around. My disconnect will be less than 2 weeks after install.

My plan is for $50 but being charged $89, that is not acceptable. We have school age children and now have to have internet, it all seems like a big scam, the internet is very slow and unreliable. The children are not able to complete homework because of the unreliability of the internet.

When I called HughesNet it was very simple to place my internet on vacation as I will be out of town working for 15 weeks. They made it easy to get this done.. A competitor I was using did not put my internet on hold or even cancel it. So now they are trying to charge me over 600.00 for service. I called approx 12/12/19 to cancel but they did not. Thank you for making this easy.

I keep getting a message that I am being hacked by a man in the middle attack. I have tried changing my passwords and within minutes of turning WiFi back on I receive the message again. I need to know how to block this person from my signal.

Our internet does not perform as advertised. We can not stream reliably. Outages are regular. We’ve had the service since May and it’s yet to perform as advertised despite hours of troubleshooting. If I had any other options, I’d use them.

I upgraded to 5th gen service, it went seamlessly. The agent was great and professional. I cannot vouch for the added speed since we left home before it activated. Will know more when we return in December. Hopefully the speed is much better and justifies the added costs.

My experience was excellent,. I had upgraded my service due to working from home and college work due to COVID 19. When the increased service was no longer necessary, I had no problem with HughesNet’s adjusting back to my original plan with a cheaper monthly payment.

Our service is ok. We have trouble with watching movies on demand or Netflix cause speed it’s the best. Or it’s not consistent. Customer service is wonderfully nice people. I will review again when my contract is up to see if there is something better available.

It's great overall. I would definitely refer a friend but when it storms the connection goes out but I expect that is normal because I've been where other internet companies loses signal when it storms too and I understand that it can't be perfect all the time but it's super great.

I called & said, "Could we pay bill 1 day late. The lady told me, "You have 10 grace period. Call us when you want us to withdraw money from your account." They took the money out anyways w/o me calling & charged me $5 late fee. I'm not happy because it messed up our account. You taking money out w/o my permission especially when lady said money won't come out till you call us, I was lied to & I don't appreciate that.

The most recent time that I had to call customer service, the customer service representative was excellent. The CSR was kind, courteous, and efficient. I was completely satisfied with the CSR's help in resolving my issue and answering my questions in a timely and an efficient manner. That CSR should be highly commended by HughesNet!

I called in asking for my payment this month (September) to be delayed until the 17th of this month. They assured me that was no problem and they would take care of it. Good so far. Much better than our Verizon jet pack. Verizon speed was very slow and the signal was very limited lots of times. Also after using your allotted hot spot then they would slow you down where it took forever to get anything.

Wanting to lower my bill and more gb. He made sure there was a package deal for me and there was with a years contract, for 30 gb and lowered my bill to 73.00 month. He also said when my year contract was up that I needed to call again and see if there’s another package deal to keep my bill down. Because I was going to cancel and go with another internet provider. That’s what I told him and he said let’s see what we can do.

I am satisfied with the service that I get. I am not satisfied for the amount of megabytes I get and not for the pay that I paid for it. I’m a senior citizen and I can only afford so much and I just noticed it went up to something like $87 for 20 MB. That just makes me want to cringe that made my money's going like that. I am currently looking at Rise Broadband that will give me 50 MB for less than what I’m paying now. So unless you could do better for me I will probably be canceling them within a week or two while I look into this more carefully.

My bill recently increased by $33. When I called to question it, it was explained to me that I signed up for a 2 year contract with a 1 year promotion. To try to appease my frustration with this, I was offered a 6 MONTH promo that included a $20 increase. Not really saving me any money. Dish + HughesNet is now as expensive as Xfinity was! Not good!

Just added Hughes Voice to my lineup and am loving it! Works as good if not better than our past company of AT&T at more than half the cost! Glad I finally got brave enough to get rid of the old phone service that broke-down every 3 months. Only time our TV goes out is when a very bad storm rolls thru and that doesn't last long.

Hard for the kids to log into school. Shuts off, very intermittent. You have even commented, connection lost, please try again. I lose the connection on everything I log onto constantly. Also the cost has risen consistently. I'm not sure it's worth the price. All my friends tell me to try another provider. The only reason I don't is because I don't want to go thru the hassle of changing yet.

I contacted CS about the lag in my internet service and was told that I could use 5G, but when I looked online - 5G is listed but it doesn't stay checked. I'm taking an online ASL class that requires a fast internet connection. My tv use of Netflix and Amazon Prime as well as some movies I purchase to watch lag often also.

Installer put up satellite dish and was in hurry to get out! I shared with him that the What to expect sheet said he would help set up two devices. He said that I could easily find that TV was connected to Hughesnet WIFI and I would find that same address by going to settings on IPHONE and IPAD. I did. And they work. TV Is constantly buffering on all services including Amazon Prime and Pandora.
On help line I am disconnected after 5-10 minutes. I tried once at 1:30 AM and found a helpful tech. She said TV was not set up properly. Let me through adjustment in modem. Next morning though tv was again looking for modem. Still does not work properly. This is second time to write this review. BOTH TIMES TOLD NO CONNECTION - even though I show full power on WIFI!

When I first got Hughes Net was great but signal has gotten weaker. Computer has gotten slower. Just a little faster than Windstream slow during peak times. Also will cut out during storms! Wish you could boost signal so Netflix and Youtube work better!

Service is good most of the time. Occasional problems usually fixed with a phone call. Service charge should not be added for repairs to service; that was resolved before they came out. They did take loss of service days off the monthly bill.

When I first got the service it was excellent. A lot slower than Cox but the system stayed up just going down for heavy rain. I got rid of Cox because of constant downtime for no reason. Then twice now I've experienced complete email server loss. I called Hughes customer service but they could not help since it was not hardware affiliated with them but their partner. The system is OK but nothing high speed about it.

From the day I had HughesNet installed it was a nightmare. Poor quality signal, data limits, expensive, poor customer support. It is by far the worst system on the market today. STAY AWAY IT IS A SCAM SYSTEM. IT IS A RIP OFF. OH BY THE WAY THEY SCAM YOU EVEN MORE WITH THE "TOKEN" SYSTEM to screw you out of more money. I would never recommended this system to anyone. You could do better with 2 cans connected with a wire. Internet was non existent, could not stream, assisted internet cell phone service was "NO SIGNAL". Had to drive about a mile from my home to use my cell phone. Very dangerous in cases of emergency.
This system should be taken off the market. GIANT RIP OFF and to make matters worse I had to pay a "Termination Fee" of almost $300.00. I want my termination fee back. I now have Fiber Optic recently installed in my neighborhood.... What a difference. It works, cell phone works, I can stream & "There are no data limits". DO NOT INSTALL THIS HUGHESNET SATELLITE SYSTEM. IT IS THE WORST OF THE WORST EVER.

Last week the customer service promised to ship the new Wi-Fi Box and cable to my address by the end of the week for evaluation and setting the Wi-Fi test. I never receive the Wi-Fi Box that was promised. We can not test the transmitting for the Buffering issue that keep getting worst after 8:00PM that every movement and events of watching clips is still buffering and delay due to the poor health of internet, I called the customer tech support about 30 times during the past year and a half and we spend so many times troubleshooting and testing plus replacing the wi-fi booster but the situation is not improving for more than 4 days.

I cancelled service at ** in March. Months later I was still receiving bills. They didn’t send the box for returning equipment until mid August. I immediately sent the equipment back and a week later received a bill from a collection agency for $183. Only several months of poor service and poor communication. I sent them a check for $325 for early service cancellation and they also want $108 for some amount they say is due. $60+ for 4 months of inadequate service +$325 +108 + 183! Thank you.

My contact was by email, your questioner is for a phone contact. After my email contact my service was much improved. I was able to stream a movie and it only stopped 8 time during viewing. I was able to watch the complete movie in less than 4 hours. I guess what I am really saying is that if this is as good as it gets, I need to look elsewhere for service. Upgraded my account to a higher data amount and That went fairly smooth but after that when I tried to log into my account I would get a Error message Informing me that I was not allowed into my account and needed to call customer care. I then called customer care and they had no clue. I was then passed to someone else and they had no clue, at that point they gave me a number to Alaska customer care. When I called and told them my issue about logging in they kept saying that they don’t understand what I was trying to do. I had to explain in detail the reason that I wanted to log into my account. At that point they told me that they had logged into my account and it was working fine. I tried to log in right afterwards and same error message came up.

Main problem I was mislead to believe I could take my granddaughter off the account. Was told I needed to have someone with an address and name to put on there. And once she called and wanted her name removed they couldn't do it. Only they added my name with her name as account holders. I pay for this and it's my address. That wasn't what I lead to believe. I have been with Centurylink for 27 yrs and AT&T for over 30 yrs. and never had this problem. Made numerous calls to correct this. And last I was told I have to wait 2 yrs. to make a new contract just in my name. Your service is great but this is beyond what I expect a company to force having another family member in for on her name and address and add her to the account. I have perfect credit and never never was late on any payments. I take great pride of always paying my bills.

I canceled the service and got an email saying I will not be charged termination Fee. Then got charged 635:70 termination fee. Called and was told I will be refunded but instead I was put on hold for hours then transferred to a different account management who gave me a non working fax number and told me to fax the email stating about not being charged. The agent George ** was polite and called back several times. I was surprised that the case was closed as he also indicated he would follow up today Aug 30. System installed yesterday and would not pull up websites or open email. This morning sitting in room with modem iPad is showing one bar. Won’t open even your home page. I feel your company has made false statements about your product. The agent that sold us on Aug 28 was named Carter and I feel was not truthful. Our hot spot works better than your product. I plan to dispute the charges with my bank and hereby request a no fee cancelation of the contract. I tried to call this morning and SURPRISE your systems are down for maintenance. I was improperly billed for not returning the LMB. I returned both the LMB and modem. I called and was told I would get my refund in 5 days. It has been more than 2 weeks. I have been away on vacation and unable to call again. I will do so on Monday, along with having my CC company block the charge. I have already had to pay my CC company for the charge. I have had Hughes Net Gen 5 for two weeks and it is the worst internet I have ever had. Their commercial about the fastest download and reliable connectivity is crap. I can’t watch a show on the internet without it buffering 5 times for a 30 minute program. I spent an entire hour talking with a Hughes Net Tech upgrading and rebooting my system only to get the same results. The tech was very professional and He guided me step by step for the upgrade. I have only had this service for two weeks and I am ready to pay the $400 to get something else.
Hughes net doesn’t have a 48 to 72 hour grace period for cancellation after activation so I am stuck in this contract. I would not recommend Hughes Net to anyone. My kids can’t even use the computer to do their homework because the internet throughout the house sucks. I gave them 1 star only because I had to. It wouldn’t let me give them anything less. I would rather pay $1000 a month for internet than to keep this garbage.

I subscribed to this service in August 2019. I was quoted one rate and when the bill came it was $24.00 higher. It took filing a dispute with my credit card company and three months to get this resolved. My voice service box has been replaced four times in the first seven months. My voice service (telephone) went out on July 20 and to date, August 28,2020, I still have no telephone service. Each time I call, the quote from the script is "we have to escalate this to engineering and they will investigate the problem and call you." To date, I have had no calls from engineering. I am continually promised credits for the issue and then on August 19, Hughesnet billed my credit card for an additional $17.97, raising my rate. I contacted the FCC on August 6, 2020 and they have cited Hughesnet and given them 30 days to respond. As of today, there has been no response to the FCC from Hughesnet.

Had HughesNet installed a few months ago. Installer was great, but when we connected the TV would buffer and was not able to connect to the ROKU TV. The installer advised that it would take 24 hours for the service to catch up so I could stream. Well that was not true because it still hasn't caught up. I called back and they wanted to charge me a service fee to have a technician come out and check it $150.00.
After speaking with several people and two hours later they agreed to send one out at no charge. The same one that did the original install was the same one that came back out to check out the problem or complaint. The good thing was he was able to see the TV buffering and not connecting. He replaced radio to the satellite and router. He tried to even change the gateway but HughesNet would not allow him. The technician tried everything in his power but could not get it to work. We are 6 months into the contract and HughesNet will not work with us. HUGHESNET IS NOT A GOOD SERVICE AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM....IT DOES NOT WORK....BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Even though I know they are swamped with calls, when they take my call I feel like they are only interested in my issue. I have never felt like I was being rushed and they have always been able to answer my questions or solve my issue.

Called Hughesnet. Spoke to what appeared to be a competent? Person?? Wrong! This idiot said nothing but lies! to get my cc# and make the sale!! I was explicit!! that nothing! can be attached to the home in anyyyy way! SO WE discussed the yard was fine, ohhhh and he said the guy would come out and bang be done! The END? NO!! He lied!! I went through hell! The man came to install, didn't know he could not put it on home? Told me he had to dig! a TRENCH FROM HOUSE TO YARD? And I had to call and get alll! The utility companies to come out to access. He wouldn't be hitting any gas, water etc... power lines. My installer was nice and sorry he couldn't complete the job that day. So hughesnet phone employees? Suck to hell!! Pay no attention, lie and sell you anything!! A bad omen, to start doing business with?

When describing problem, there did not seem to be any understanding on the other end. I was told to call back in an hour??? Thank god an dish relocation was scheduled for the next day. He was wonderful in explaining what was wrong. He took care of the problem and I have great internet again.

Was on the phone with agent for an hour and 17 minutes jumping through hoops. She couldn’t resolve issue after all that time and said someone from a different department would call me back, a call I never got. Still having the same problem, and customer service sucks.

I recently purchased a Samsung TV & in attempt to download several programs. My response is no internet connection. My service is too slow. I thought I was receiving high speed internet service. Out of 10 mb of speed I can not be up at 2 AM - 8 Am just to watch TV & receive High Speed Internet.. Seriously thinking about switching service.

In isolated places service is critical. Promised data streaming is essential. When the service says... "Sorry it's raining" or that VPN is not possible or when you watch your outlook spin for 5 min when you log in, you begin to suspect that HughesNet cannot deliver on its promises. May this be a warning to consumers.

Ordered HughesNet 3 weeks ago. Install was a nightmare. Contractor, no call no show twice. Finally got it installed and speeds are so bad, it may as well not exist. Called customer service and got the runaround for a week until they decided to send a tech out to look at it. Customer service set up the same contractor that did the install and did the same thing, no call no show. I called customer service again and told them what happened and they scheduled another tech. This one showed up but only to replace the modem and left. Did not change speed.
I called customer service AGAIN and was on the phone for an 1-1/2 hours and didn’t solve the issue. I called AGAIN today and again on the phone for 1-1/2 hours, said they would escalate to the engineering dept. and would receive a call in 3-5 business days. All their customer service agents are in the Philippines and have horrible connection or can’t understand them. I’m very dissatisfied with this company and will not recommend them to anyone.

Still getting use to the dish service and so far everything has worked well. We were able to get set up quite easily over the phone and the installer was able to get to our place early and get the installation completed very quickly so we were hooked up and online before noon that day and my wife was very happy as well as I.

Service was intermittent at best. Couldn’t call to cancel from location of service because service was so bad. Cancelled as soon as I had a viable alternative. Will strongly advise anyone who asks not to get HughesNet. The customer service also seemed poor, the cancellation process was cumbersome and took about five calls.

I went through different calls with your tech support and still wasn't satisfied with their service, I tried to explain to them that my internet issues is still not resolve, they're saying they show good signs but when I spoke to a different tech who referred me with this reference number ** who told me my internet connection was bad. So as of last night it was still running slow, so it doesn't or shouldn't matter how many devices we're using, I had just upgraded the 5gen and I'm paying a lot for something that shouldn't be running all slow. My son got's homework to turn in by the end of day for virtual class. I don't have time to be calling every evening to explain myself over and over with this internet problem. Hope this will help trying to provide me with better customer service and fix my internet issues.

I called in to see when my contract expired. I was given the information in a courteous way. The representative was very helpful and courteous, even though I had already recently called in the ask the same question. They answered all my questions. They told me how much of a penalty I would have to pay if I cancelled early. I appreciated that information.

My network connection is always failing.. Can't ever watch anything!! The internet is always lagging. We can't stream anything and I was specifically told I would be able to after I just upgraded my package. I got Hughes Net because of my cable company. Would I refer them to another customer at this point in our relationship, no.

The tech on the phone was very helpful and answered all my questions. He also told me things I didn't know about the internet. The installer was very good and did a great job. I feel you should not schedule your techs to install in the middle of the day. It was 95 here and no breeze.

I have been having trouble with my internet since around December 2019. In December I called and explained what was going on (streaming was near impossible). Then in the last four months the emails I sent would take up to 3 days to get to the person I was sending them to. I operate a payroll service, accounting service and tax service, the internet was making my life so stressful. Your people told me to buy more bytes, which I did and it did not help. I purchased a new computer, thinking it may help and didn't. I finally had to get upset and request tech support, after a few days they finally showed up. They had to completely replace my satellite dish with a new one, because the old one wasn't working correctly. What a mess it has been to work with all of this with your people since December. The technicians that were sent to my home were wonder to work with and got the problem fixed quickly. Thank you for your help.

I called your technical help to see why my computer was running very slow and it takes a lot of time to watch basic youtube video information. I was told that it was due to the reason that I did not have enough data to run the task using your internet, I am really disappointed at this time, the technology is poor the connectivity is poor also.
Finally, your customer service person advised that I should increase the plan to 30 g, which also increases my bill by about $40.00. I am happy that the customer service lady gave me some concessions to keep my service with Hughes Network, but I am facing a slow connection even now. Please look into this service one more time to improve the connectivity, I understand that satellite connectivity is not stable but slow and has interruptions in between. Please do something to face reality (your competition).

Aug 10 I contacted Hughes Net customer service regarding slow internet upload speeds - as low as 0.06 MBPS. After some effort the rep said Technical Service would contact me within 2 - 3 business days. No response yet. Aug 17 I contacted Customer Service regarding not getting a response - a rep said I would get a call back. None yet. I tried to fill out the Customer Service Survey, but the link said there was a network problem and did not open. Today is Aug 24.

I have called and talked to account representatives. The last time I called I was told by “Gwen” after I was placed on hold a while that a supervisor would contact me. I called because I was not happy with how slow my internet had become. My modem was old and I figured there might be an upgrade available. The agent I spoke to was very helpful and I ended up upgrading from Gen 4 to Gen 5 service with only a small increase in cost.

I have a two year contract and Hughes chooses to keep adding charges instead of honoring contract. After almost a year they have started charging for suspended service, which we were never told about. I'm suppose to honor my contract but you keep changing yours. Not happy!

The HughesNet email service is substandard. My emails were recently blocked by HughesNet for several days without any notice to me, the customer. I am the Public Relations Officer for a local forest landowner group and the local Community Emergency Response Team, and as such I must be able to communicate to the members of these groups effectively. I publish a newsletter for these groups that I email to the members as a PDF file attachment. Sometimes HughesNet interprets these as spam or a virus. I continually tell HughesNet that I never send out spam or viruses. If a HughesNet customer calls the Customer Service Department, they will sometimes talk with a person who cares and is knowledgeable enough to solve the problems. but most times the CSR is neither caring or knowledgeable.

The internet is slow and unreliable. I wish I never had had it installed. If you are not by the modem the wifi is not working and if you should have more than 2 items on the wifi forget about using it.

Sales person did not ask what I would be using my service for. I wanted the faster service for connecting with my office computer to allow me to work from home. Hughes does not support this application. Took me a long time before I was transferred to someone that knew what the issue was. Then another long time getting the 24 month contract.

Asked to change due date to 09/04 and to not take automatic payment from account at end of Aug. He assured me this was set up for Aug payment to be made 09/04. Not what happened. You withdrew Aug payment and now I am overdrawn and have no funds till 09/03. Plus accrued bank fees. I am distraught.

In the past, I had bad experiences with HughesNet on a dial-up kind of plan. Lots of lost emails. Very slow. DISH convinced me to try them again and so far after a week I am pleased. The technician was very knowledgable. The internet is slower than I had hoped but at least it works up here in the Rocky Mountains.

Technician arrived 3 hours late. Phone number not transferred at time (as expected). Internet speed great 1st 2-3 days (20-30 Mbs). Over last 8 days speed has been .7 to 2.5 Mbs. Difficult to reach Hughesnet Tech support via phone. After finally getting a tech, no improvement. Telephone number still not moved. Would have given 0 star review if allowed. VERY DISSATISFIED!

Guess my complaint is more with your subcontractor on site. After showing up over 2 hours late I was informed that I didn’t have to be there. So I went back to work. When I returned home there was just a cable draped across the yard from dish to house. No indications if he was done or not. After calling on site I was informed that burying the cable is my problem.

I really like HughesNet living in a rural area with limited options, this is definitely your best option. We tried a hotspot and it was hit and. Miss on a regular basis, the explanation I received was the cell tower was too far away.

The people who helped me were wonderful. I seriously doubt that Hughes will be able to give us good service. It’s only one to bring internet to our area. I’m afraid our area is a difficult area to service. If I can’t have good service I want honesty. Have not been able to watch any Netflix to end without constant buffering. My husband has Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and can’t walk on his own. We need good service. Please be honest. Thanks.

I don't have good internet. The Tech installed my system didn't even see see if it worked before he left and I don't have internet. My TV keeps freezing up and I cannot download anything with this internet so please come and fix it or come and get it. I will not for something I cannot use.

Upload could be faster. Latency is still a problem. I'm not sure if much can be done in the satellite format. Given my options for internet service, Hughesnet is by far the best option available in the area where I live.
