They canceled my 5 years old domain without my consent and listed it for $12000 on premium selling. Godaddy canceled my domain- www ellemart.com from my account; and sent me an email that I have canceled this domain myself! Can you imagine that you are paying the renewal price every year, and suddenly it got expired and this company canceled your 5-year-old domain! This is a painful experience. I am just hopeless! Now, they are telling me that this is their policy!

NOTE: I had another .com domain that expired before this domain, but I was able to renew that on the 19th of June, but for this domain because of rich keyword, they canceled this intentionally for doing PREMIUM business. THEY ARE TOTALLY FRAUDS. I will share more details of my genuine experience in all possible fields online. This is how this company does business.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FOR BUYING ANY DOMAIN from this company, otherwise today/tomorrow you will lose your domain. I had domains at other popular companies, but I had no such experience with them. This is not the first time, I heard this type of thing also happened to others, and today I am experiencing this! #STAY_AWAY_FROM_GODADDY #Fraud_godaddy #Godaddy_scammer #scamcompanygodaddy

My email has been down for a week and now they say maybe another 3 days. I called once or twice a day, stayed up ALL night on chat and they still cannot recover my email and get my business email of 20+ years up and running. I get 200+ emails a day for my business and suddenly I am shut down. THey told me if I filled out the form they would fix my problem and send me an email in UP TO 72 hours, this is after I was down for 2 days!

I called every day to check on it AFTER THE 72 hours passed. FINALLY they said OH you filled out the wrong form! BS! On the phone they said yes sir we know what you need, you are having problems with your email password! I SAID YES! Then on day 5 they said I completed the wrong ticket! Why didn't they tell me that on days 1-5? Now on week two they are saying complete the form for email access! I said how long will this take and they said 3 more days! All of this so they can HELP me by beefing up security! If I need help I will ask for it! Don't just shut me down!

GoDaddy would care much about customers, they are so bad now. I LOST MY WEBSITE. I LOST MY BUSINESS. I LOST MY CUSTOMERS on this very difficult time.

I went and try to design a website with Godaddy.com and it was a big mistake, the designer they assigned to us felt like he was finishing a job that he have with no care or attention at all. It was very basic. Content was unprofessional and the images weren't even related to our business so we went to search for images at godaddy images stock and we couldn't find anything in the first 2 pages of our search and the guy said he isn't willing to spend more time on the image search and we can do it and send it to him.

I thought about it and we decided that this is not what we are looking for so we called to cancel the service and we spoke to the customer service dept again to cancel and they talked us to new designer and that they will make sure this time is different and they set up a new meeting. The new designer was different. He missed the meeting. No one called or anything. I called back to cancel and I spoke with a customer success manager and she said, "It happens that people miss their meetings so let's set you up a new one" which I totally denied the offer and asked for a full refund due to the poor service but she said they will keep $500 because I am the one who cancelled. So you either live with this kind of service or lose your money. I am moving all my business to a new hosting and email company after 9 years of partnership with godaddy. They are only after your money.

I had Web Service renewal on auto pay for the last 8 years. I had always had 2-3 billing options for my account. I had received an email of thanks for renewal. 30 days later, my website was removed, including all the WordPress code. During those 30 days, I was also sent upgrade notifications. I called into Service and ended up being told I need to pay more attention to emails and my billing. They say they sent 3 notifications, but I can't find any in email (while I have 200 other emails). I told them they may have gone to SPAM, but I was then told since it was clear I didn't have an IT person in my small business cause they would be doing SPAM reviews. I said I used GoDaddy because I don't have IT person, and that's why they get business.

They charged $149 to restore and reapply code (took 4 days). Wrote to CEO and they said they would only apply $149 to store credit. I asked for it to be applied to SSL renewal $199. That was missed, and I paid the full $199. Their actions demonstrate a total lack of concern, empathy or follow through. It is not the same as it was 6-8 years ago. They will be losing this small customer, and clearly they don't care.

When setting up a domain, I used a prepaid card (A Vanilla Gift Card as I didn't want to lose sleep over data breaches) to make the payment since gift cards do not come with names. Now GoDaddy is asking me to provide an ID card for the random name used on the gift cards meaning if I do register with "John Doe" - GODADDY wants me to provide an ID card for John Doe with a Vanilla Gift Card payment.

The customer service is even worse. They do not know what they are doing. They employed Tone-Deaf people that cannot resolve simple matters, if you are accepting payments with gift cards, you should know that these gift cards do not come with any name. What baffles me is how businesses like this remain in business.

This is a warning for you. I am building a website on there cleoptraorganics.shop and every step is more and more money and no functionality. I still cannot post from GoDaddy to eBay or Amazon as you should be able to do because it is reading my website as USA website. Then when you log in to GoDaddy you can do that with social log-ins, like Fb or Google. However, if you want it on your website for your own customers it is not available unless you purchase their email.

It is already bad enough you have log in and synchronize with another couple companies to get your reviews working and your merchant, and you already paid for website and then you paid for merchant website, and you have to pay another video company if you want to upload videos to your website. So more extra. They got few format and you can't even change the sizes of pictures. The merchant templates doesn't even show to customers what payment methods are available. Absolutely horrifying experience!! Be warn!!! GO to WIX website, 10 years ago they were better than GoDaddy is today. I feel like I been SCAMMED!!!

The process of buying the domain was easy. The support for the hosting, problems with the site and getting assistance is subject to a chat window hosted either by a moron or a computer. If you call Go Daddy be prepared to sit 15 - 30 minutes waiting to be disconnected. Don't waste your money on this company. Run screaming from this company. Horrific customer service. Inadequate support. Overpriced. Behavior bordering on fraudulent. If there isn't a class action in play now there should be. Our retail site has been down for three days. The GoDaddy's server on which our site resides was intermittently down for several weeks and now completely down for more than 4 business days.

Clients have no way to find us, no way to reach us and no way to acquire product. There have been no updates, no repairs and information in various forums indicates that this problem has been ongoing for weeks. Advice from tech support is absurd - "tell your clients to disable their firewall to access your site" and the most absurd "ask your customers to shut down all virus protection so that they can access your site." If Google crawls our site while this is in play, we absolutely will lose ranking and with that, likely many thousands of dollars in sales. Can't say enough horrific, bad, awful things about this terrible, terrible company.

Bob with email tech support was the least helpful, most disrespectful person I've ever had to interact with the phone. He repeatedly cut me off and didn't listen. I asked a question about the security update through Inky that my company had just upgraded to, and he immediately became defensive and didn't answer my question. I told him a second time what I needed help with, and he finally said, "well you should have started off with saying that." I tried to tell him that I had started off the conversation like that, but he interrupted me again so I doubt he even heard me. GoDaddy is involved in wholesale domain squatting, as a BUSINESS PRACTICE. The way they do it is through a bogus address in St. Marten, to mask their shady operations and increase your legal expense to get your domain, even if it is trademarked. The equation they've worked out is that it's less expensive to pay their ransom fee than it is to sue them, and they've been sued PLENTY. I know of no other company that operates this way, and it is a horrible practice.

The sales person certainly played me for the fool when I agreed to pay a premium (2.5 grand; normally 4 grand) to have my website constructed by GoDaddy. I was assured that I would have access to a team of experts in the fields of marketing, content development, search engine optimization, and security. I will say this, they sure do have their elevator speech well prepared. The delivery, however, was very disappointing. My supposed "custom" site, looks suspiciously like many templates I have seen across the web.

The content creators that I neither saw nor heard from seemed to have trouble constructing the simplest syntax. I had to correct them repeatedly (through a human intermediate) and ended up just writing the majority of it myself over the course of several hours. When I view my site on the godaddy builder, I see all these warnings about how my site is not optimized for incoming traffic. I can't speak to the security, as this is something I know little about. However, considering the quality of their other expert services, I can hazard a guess that my website is about as secure as a wet paper bag. As far as marketing, I see absolutely no marketing touch across my build. I am beyond disappointed. I will never use their services again.

As a seasoned web developer, I have used GoDaddy.com for over 15 years. As a Domain provider, they are excellent, but as a new side business, they have begun to offer hosting. Their staff however have NO KNOWLEDGE of network administration at all, don't even attempt to help and just ignore your questions and shun you.

The issue I was having was that Google's crawler was triggering the DDoS protection on the GoDaddy server when loading the mobile page and the IPv6 address needed to be whitelisted. The support staff initially tried to tell me that the server had NO FIREWALL. If you know anything about web development, then you'll know how comical it is that they even suggested this. It's a bit like a bank robber being surprised at a bank having a security system. Then they tried to just say that they have no control over it at all. So I guess their servers are managed by AI.

As a web development company, I have set up hundreds of servers, all of which worked perfectly. If there was ever an issue, I was contactable 24/7 and fixed it within 30 minutes every time. This is an utter embarrassment that a company of this size could be so incompetent. It seems quite ironic really, since my business always struggled because customers always wanted to go for the big business. Well, this is what you get with a big business, QUANTITY NOT QUALITY!!!

This is my first experience with a website building company for my new e-commerce company. I initially came to GoDaddy for assistance with advice, development, experience, and utility of a professional web designer. When I spoke to the sales pro at GoDaddy Johnathan I was specific in what I needed which was a platform that would allow me to build my brand and navigate customers to my Amazon products with the option adding a store at a later time. Johnathan upsold me on one of the most expensive packages that GoDaddy had to offer. However although the most expensive not worth the value. Another reason I came to GoDaddy was also to take the design aspect of the website off my plate since I am wearing many hats in the initial building phase of this new business adventure.

However, I began to have more appointments, and tasks in order to communicate the esthetic, design, ETHOS and mission I wanted my website to portray. The designer was out of touch with what I asked for; understanding the initial product was a VERY rough first draft I soon realized that it was going to take many more phone calls, apps, and messages to portray what we want in a website. TIME that I do not have -prompting me to call and wish a cancellation less than 30 days that I have even purchased the product. I was then bounced around to three different service members when I reached Nick GoDaddy Manager and ultimately the person to make business negotiations for GoDaddy.

I expressed to him that I was oversold and didn't need the web designer package from scratch and if we could compromise and use my self built site with a pro designer to give me the ability to save time and continue to do business with GoDaddy. I also was willing to keep all of my $2K with GoDaddy and use the credit toward the EOS Marketing. But Nick was rude, short, and not at all willing to negotiate and simply was not interested in keeping my business. To the point of arrogance like as if Godaddy's product was so far more superior - as if. So with this being said I am more than happy for GoDaddy to keep my money-since unwilling to refund only partial. Whatever it takes to never do business with this company again.

Take that a a sound bite a customer willing to pay a company not to do business with them. I have canceled all of my products and have already gave my business to WIX. I wish I would have went to them first. Their product is way more superior easy to use and directly connects to my AMAZON products. They are not pushy but listened to what I needed and have been so helpful and kind - key word kind. GoDaddy keeping the remainder of my money is a true reflection of the business practices and truly we all know these type of practices will not keep your company afloat for long.

I will share my experience with GoDaDDY because you deserve the bad review. Enjoy the $1,900 for your $5.00 service your reputation will soon precede the profit margin. Way to go WIX for hands down offering a superior product, service and all together a stress free experience. I have already started to work with them with building my second website for my real estate business.

They said because of how they use to build it must be on their platform, I agreed but asked if I would be able to migrate the site anywhere after or to my business hosting I have existing with GoDaddy. They said yes and built my requested site.

Later I tried migrating or I asked GoDaddy to do it as you know it's better to have a professional do it. Well I was told that the plug ins they used to build the site must be disabled to migrate it. I agreed and they told me when they researched that in order for the site to run I must purchase critical plugins $540 dollars. Talk about deceptive practices, So basically I've been blackmailed after the 1 page cost me $1,100 I must now pay an additional $540 to even use it away from their platform. NEVER USE THEM, horrible experience, and I'm a 20 year active user, hosting with GoDaddy,

I'm also been using their SEO services, I've done all they told me I needed to get my site on a national ranking after 2 years and 20 hours a month worth of work I asked why so much of the time is invested in creation and reporting. They are supposed to give me a monthly update, they do about 20 minutes worth at most, some months not even 10 minutes and this is fine but what they allocate of my money is much more than this.

Also their largest portion of time stent is on creation, not really show the work for all the time. I asked to speak to someone who is actually doing the work they claimed they don't work that way. I'm sorry but if I have questions as to where my money is being spent without justification it should be an open book. Since that discussion I have not heard from them and it has definitely been 2 months I wonder what they are up to in spending my money. Anyway it's time to renew and I believe I will start looking for other ways to get this done with clarity and this is not GoDaddy's SEO department.

I have worked in IT for over 20 years and began my career at Microsoft. GoDaddy is purposely participating in deceptive business practices by moving their once free email services to Microsoft 365. They failed to communicate that you either pay for Microsoft 365 or have no email accounts at all. The fee is $24 per email for the first year and then $72. The communication regarding this was incomplete and deceptive.

I called GoDaddy and they had no solution other than to pay for a product I already own, in fact, they couldn't care less that they lied and damaged my business communications by deleting all my email accounts. I recorded the entire conversation and their lack of support was appalling. I'm suing and do NOT recommend GoDaddy for any services.

After spending 5+ hours in 2 chat sessions the person from Godaddy claimed it was my fault and that I should change IP addresses and internet provider because it could be their fault. I asked to have the problem escalated and was informed that she already had and that this was the answer from the back office team? I gave godaddy 2 stars because I have been with them for years and really liked them. Until they switched from their webmail to Outlook 365. I'm not blaming outlook either, I use outlook every day. It's resulted in $199 in charges and $315 in bank NSF fees (it's an old account I don't use much). It's now a week later and they've done nothing. I was a customer of GoDaddy since 2017. Today, I will be transferring any business I have left with them to another company. In December, I was sick with Covid. I could barely move. I missed a payment. This month when I started getting better, I transferred the payment into the wrong business account. I saw GoDaddy charge the correct account (1/13/22) and then I contacted their customer service right away (same day). I explained that I had made an error when I transferred my funds and could make the payment right away. They told me my website was deleted and I'd need to pay a restoration fee to get it back. I didn't have the money as yet. The representative told me not to worry because I had 30 days to restore it. I was willing to at least pay the $33 dollars but they told me I'd need to make the payment together.

Today (1/19/22), I called to pay both the restoration fee and the regular fee. I was told that they couldn't restore the page because it's been over 30 days. It's literally been 6 days. The representative then tells me that the last representatives that I spoke to gave me the wrong information and "they're very sorry". So, I asked to speak to a supervisor, the representative claimed that no one could help me and that was it. They offered no accommodations, no services, not even to help rebuild a website that they said could be restored within 30 days but couldn't. I'd suggest doing business with anyone else. Covid is heavily out here. Some people are in hospitals for 2 months fighting for their lives. GoDaddy has made no adjustments to deal with today's climate. Because of their error/misinformation, I missed the actual deadline to restore my website. Now, I have to go rebuild something that took me months to perfect on their platform.

So, I used to get a free email address with every domain name I registered with GoDaddy. That was nice. I didn't use them much - some not at all. This week I realized they turned them all into paid email accounts without notifying me. And they added services I didn't want or need. I'll admit I found out late. We have a small family business and last year was crazy. We lost most of our staff and we all were working 20+ hours a day just trying to keep our store open and get our bills paid.

It didn't help that they made the charge the same name as the accounts that were for our business. I was aware we were paying that $300 + for email addresses for our company. So when they charged me $329 for my "free" email accounts I missed it. The charges come at different times of the year and they bill for 2 years at a time so if they don't pop up at the same time it's easy to miss. I think they plan for that.

As I was prepping taxes I realized they put a charge on my card for my "free" accounts. I looked at it and clicked the link. There was a button that said "Free" as well as a button that was for billing. I called tech support and was told that it wasn't free anymore. The support person looked at the page and acknowledged that there was a free option but then said it wasn't correct. That I didn't qualify for the free account and that the button shouldn't even be there. He also told me that I couldn't get a refund beyond 5 days after my order. I told him I didn't order this but he said he couldn't help me.

The next day I get a text message from "Advanced Support" asking if they could help. They were worthless. Said I ordered it (never did - I only ordered the service for our business, not for a bunch of throw away emails that I don't use). Then they backtracked and said I was notified that the free accounts would become billable (meaning they were just going to bill me for the stuff they told me was free). I asked when they notified me and was told they couldn't tell me that. But that I was.... I searched my email and couldn't find a notice. I couldn't find a message in my GoDaddy account... but the texter assured me I was... they just couldn't tell me when.

A little later the texter (I found out later that it was someone else) said they could tell me... made me jump through a bunch of hoops with confirmation codes in text and email. Then that person wouldn't tell me when I was notified either. They just kept telling me to call billing because they couldn't help me. I told them they contacted me asking to help... I asked again when they notified me of the super secret bill for my "free" accounts and they went silent.

We texted for over 6 hours. I have no idea how many people I talked to but answers kept changing. First they said they couldn't confirm when they notified me of the billing. Then they said they could if I provided account info, codes in text and email, etc. But then they wouldn't tell me when they say I was notified. Early on they said I had to notice they were billing me for free services and other services I didn't order in five days for a refund. Then they said 30 days.... They said I ordered the calendar and storage. I asked when and could they provide me with the order form.... they went silent again. Every time I asked for back up they went silent or switched me to someone else who started asking the same questions I'd already answered several times. Now they won't respond at all.

I've done business with GoDaddy for 20+ years. I've had private and business domains. I've paid for email services I ordered and have had no problem paying for the stuff I asked for. But I didn't ask for this. There is well over a year left on these services I didn't ask for but I can't even get a credit for the remaining year. Apparently you have to notice they screwed you in 5 days for a refund.... or 30 days... depending on who you talk to. Oh... and the free button on the email options page disappeared after I called support. Good thing I have a screenshot with the date and time... showing it was there. Not that it matters. They don't want to help you anyway. Just bill you for stuff you didn't order.

No one had a record of my issue. The people lied saying it was in progress just wait, or the insurance wasn't right (???) or the anti-hacking software was wrong (???), or they would escalate my issue, or their crack team will work on it the entire night until it's completed and send me an email. Sadly, none of their words meant anything. No caring, no email, no results, totally swept under the rug!

You wait on hold for up to 2 hours; the guy, and I have most of their names, says, "Hold on let me see what I can do," then after 10 more minutes on hold, the line gets disconnected. This of course is after the guy introduces himself to you. He asks for your phone number where you are in case we get disconnected. Sadly GoDaddy does not own one outgoing phone obviously! I would not recommend using this company for domain registration. Maybe they do a better job as a webhost.

One of my domains is down but there's a two-step verification on my account that unfortunately sends text to my old cell phone I no longer have access to. That is preventing me from getting the support I really need. I requested them to remove it. Their customer service says I have to wait for another department and that department doesn't have a cell phone and you can only message them, everyone works from home, blah, blah, blah. On Sept 8th I hired GoDaddy to create my real estate agent site for a team I was creating. I gave the representative, Rebekah **, the website, login, and password to a site I wanted to copy the format exactly from. Before I ordered the site, I told them I wanted to copy this exact layout and was told the cost would be $1999.99. November 19, 2021 site is still not done. I had two website managers helping me and after 6 pages they told me the dropdown pages were all extra independent pages and they can't do them. The website team at the beginning never finished the site and passed me on the Word Press development to finish. They apologized and gave me 3 months of free service to finish the site. At least 8 other reps have been involved in trying to complete the site, by providing written detail, pictures, example layouts for the website developers, each one failing.

I would receive an email to say the ticket was closed out, however, when I logged into my site and items were still not done correctly. I would then have to start the process over again. Each new site specialist apologized for the other and stated they would get this handled. Some making changes immediate only to be reverted back to the original format days later. On November 17, I told them to stop and that this was ridiculous and I wanted a full refund. He said I don't know why they are not making the correct changes we are giving them. The site specialist said there are multiple different developers that are working on this and that could be why. He said a customer service rep would contact me in 2 days to discuss my options.

I just got off the phone with Nick **, Customer Service Specialist, and he stated that there were only two options:

    1. Give me another 3 months of free Word Press service again to fix the issues and complete the site or

    2. Offer a 30% refund of the $1999 website fee, but since I have had so many issues he would go to 40% refund and 100% of the $239.88 hosting fee.

Confused I told him, "You want me to pay 60% for you guys to take over 120 hrs of MY time in multiple phones, emails, and designing for this site that you can't seem to deliver per your terms?" He said, "I can't calculate what that is broken down to, but that is the best you are going to get." I said those two are not even options for me and I wanted to speak to his supervisor. Nick said, "I will speak to my supervisor, but they will revert back to me." I told him the first option is the definition of insanity, as you want me to go through this process again, with the same team hoping the original issues get fixed and new pages get completed, or I pay you for $1200 for taking 120 hours of MY time. He said, "they will probably tell you exactly what I'm telling you." There are many recorded phone calls, notes, and issues with my account. I want a full refund of $1999 plus the $239.88 hosting fee.

This is a sad review to have to write for a company that I thought was good. I purchased an unlimited data plan in July 2021 and began to upload a site that I had had up over a decade earlier. The site was extremely complex involving the use of databases and very many files. IN November 2021, they wrote me and told me the following:

"Your ** website hosting account is storing files in a manner for which it is not intended or compatible. While we ask that you fully review your current and intended usage, the following is of primary concern at this time: /public_html/collections. We understand that this situation was most likely not intentional. However, whether or not the content is linked or otherwise in use, storing large individual files and/or large collections of files on your website hosting space causes and contributes to various issues which negatively impact our service and, in turn, its performance and availability to other customers."

So even if the files are linked, which I clearly intended for them to be in the future, they will not allow the site to be up. This hardly sounds like an unlimited plan. Now for the kicker: They waited a couple of months to notify me of this "problem", cleverly waiting until past the 30 day period where a refund for the $470 dollar purchase I had made, refusing me a refund when I asked them for one on customer service. Definitely steer clear of this company, they engage in FALSE ADVERTISEMENT and are deceptive and unforgiving with their customers. There are many problems they have, such as the most expensive domains when compared with other domains and very poor customer service, but the WORST part about this is that they keep sending you spam emails, spam phone calls, and spam texts offering "GoDaddy services" AFTER YOU ALREADY CLOSED THE ACCOUNT WITH THEM.

When you buy a domain with GoneDaddy, the "get WHOIS guard protection" is SUPER hidden and you have to really look around for it to activate it, as opposed to NAMECHEAP for example where it's turned on by default. So GoneDaddy sells your information/email/phone number to other scam companies so they keep harassing you.

I believe at some point I bought a domain with GoneDaddy and didn't turn on "WHOISGUARD protection" by accident, thinking it would be automatic, like with most other domain registrars. Since then, when I bought new domains with them, I always made sure to select the WHOIS GUARD protection service, and yet, after:

    - turning off ALL email notifications from them
    - cancelling/selling all domains

    - COMPLETELY DELETING THE GONEDADDY ACCOUNT

I STILL get 1-2 spam emails/texts from the "GoDaddy creative team" offering to sell me their logo/design/website services. Extremely annoying and frustrating and when you call them... "Well it ain't their fault, and nothing they can do!!" Stay away. NEVER buy ANYTHING from them as they will sell your info in a heartbeat to make a quick buck. Literally - go with ANY other domain registrar except them - I have firsthand direct experience with this.

** Misleading pricing - $350 in "surprise charges" that were needed for the website that included the Yoast plug in and $150 by the Go Daddy SEO group to move forward with more than 6 keywords in the meta data.

** Misleading information - I paid for a "custom website" and the design was forced into a templated version except for the Contact Page. The client was extremely unhappy with the 1st and 2nd revisions and thought the design was boring.

** Lack of design and technical expertise - I found out with the 2nd firm I had to retain that they couldn't make the home page design work for me just as Go Daddy had a problem but they told me they couldn't adjust the home page hero section image so I could get the look I wanted. I had a graphic designer size the pictures and not the hero section looks perfect.

** Misleading communications about project management: The project manager had the 45 minute - 1 hour initial call, then a preliminary design was submitted, then she told me "after the fact" that I only had one hour to provide my changes since the phone call ended and she told me that the project would move to another group.

** Poor communications once I was dumped by the Project Manager into this new group - This group had no project manager, no confirmation of changes made, could not make simple changes but could not tell me why, now supervisors who would take action to response my problems. I spoke to more than 9 people. Could not or would not make the changes I asked them.

** ZERO concern for customer satisfaction. I escalated my issues to 2 different supervisors neither of which intervened with the developers to help me get the website that would satisfy my client. My request for a refund (see below) was completely rejected.

I made the difficult decision that I could NOT work with Go Daddy and told my client that. After more than 12 successful website installations, this was the first company would could not deliver. I asked for a refund from Go Daddy for a $500 credit on development, a credit of $150 for the one year hosting, a credit of $180 for the Yoast Plug in which is what they said I needed to order plus the $100 that I had to pay the Go Daddy SEO group so that the Yoast plug in could be installed. Go Daddy refused. When I asked for a refund on the 1st year hosting, they said that I had to pay for the development system. The supervisor repeatedly said they had to charge the first year hosting even though there was a 1 year delay from the date the project was paid for in Mar/Apr 2020 and when we started fresh with the preliminary hour consult in Apr 2021.

We found another website development firm who made ALL my changes and recommendations on design and now my client finds the new website very COMPELLING website. The bad news is that my client had to pay extra money and suffer the delays.

I wanted to have my storefront hosted at GoDaddy. I have a Squarespace Trial going simultaneously and have web sites in progress at both sites to compare. The Squarespace site is ahead in progress of the GoDaddy. And after several days of working on this I didn't start swearing at the screen until trying to use GoDaddy's free web creation software. It has some attractive features but compared to Squarespace it is unsophisticated, clunky, hard to use, and not really user friendly.

The menus are more hidden than obvious with novice users probably struggling for an hour just to figure out how to delete a picture from a lay-out. I'm an advanced web creator and my main complaint is the slowness of loads during the web creation process. I'm often second-guessing myself wondering if elements are going to actually appear. I thought I was doing something wrong. No, GoDaddy's site was lagging. I have to click on buttons some times 4 times to move images. That seems to be the main problem. Image manipulation.

Also, photos will auto adjust in some circumstances. In others they will not, such as no matter how you fix the settings the top and bottoms of books will be chopped if they are solid color. I don't like that at all. As expected from past experience, I was armed with dual thumbnails. Even the 2.75 thumbnails were getting chopped by GoDaddy if the top and bottom fields of the book were solid color. I could not defeat the problem in the settings after fooling around with it for about 2 hours. And that was just one issue with image problems with this software. There were other glitches that burned my time. Making me duplicate things because they didn't load right the first time. Not just clunky, highly flawed and buggy. I hack computer games and was designing commercial web sites 20 years ago. I know junk software when I see it.

So many of the settings seem to be beyond the user's control. You never know if background colors will register. Like five minutes later suddenly my black background would appear. What? What took it so long? I would suggest GoDaddy strongly for casual web site designers just doing informational pages. For them this is a great host site and highly recommended. For a commercial web site selling 5000 book titles? GoDaddy isn't going to work for me. You can't move files quickly in bulk like you can at Squarespace. And there is not unlimited data movement, storage, and e-mails like at Squarespace for just a couple more dollars per month.

I know people love GoDaddy but if I tried building my storefront here it will take me months just to finish the web site because of the limitations of their clunky software. The difference being between riding a bicycle and driving a Ferrari. I've worked on the Trial site here all day and haven't gotten far at all. Like my feet are stuck in mud with the slow page and image loads. The functions and tabs are just all wrong. The engineers need better direction for the novices. More obvious tabs. I don't understand software engineers who have big black fields available on the page but force users to search for hidden menus. They make you do the drop-down instead of putting the information all visible at once. Why are web developers so addicted to drop-down menus? Is it like mandatory like putting on your shoes or something? You have space, put the directions where people can see them.

It is hard to explain how disappointed and frustrated I feel after spending a lot of money for a useless marketing campaign. I have realized that you at "GoDaddy" and or the Account Manager Kylie never paid attention to the fact you have targeted the wrong market. I was very clear and specific about the zip codes I wanted to target for my marketing campaign - all of them are here in MANHATTAN - since the end of April 2021. However, none of you took care of that during all of these months.

I have received likes on Facebook posts that you created from people located in Colorado, California, North Carolina, Illinois, Texas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, North Miami, Florida, Georgia, South Dakota, etc. Everytime I ask Kylie for an explanation, she blames her team, and I wonder... Who is leading that team??? Me or her??

Until now she hasn’t responded to my questions.....WHY are people around the country seeing my ads on Facebook except for the ZIP CODES in MANHATTAN that I requested to be targeted. There are also several huge mistakes from your side. For example, why are there missing posts on Instagram??? When I ask my account manager (Kylie), she responds that her team made a mistake or she gives responses like..."I don’t know what happened"....Or she just blames her team one more time. There are grammar mistakes on one of the 1st posts...Omitting capital letters for an ad.

This job campaign is poor and extremely basic, besides the fact that there is no coordination or communication among you guys. Another thing was, at the beginning of this campaign, I had to explain my target clientele (upper-class clients living in Manhattan) at least five different times to both Kylie and to her boss. Before this, she was marketing to the wrong customer base.

I want a response related to: Another issue in this campaign is - What have you done for my YELP & Google account???? I haven’t seen any improvements at all in these two sites. I also want to let you know that I have never received a call from a potential client in response to your “Marketing Campaign”. This now makes sense to me....Nobody who lives in Colorado or California wants to come to Manhattan for a class.

The account summary you sent me "DOES NOT REFLECT" what I paid for. You targeted the entire country and not the 5 zip codes that I provided you within Manhattan. So, any monthly summary you send me of my ‘campaign’ means nothing to me as the wrong market was targeted. On top of everything else, I have to complete 50% of the work required for every single ad you post on Instagram. For every single ad on Instagram you make....

I have to add more hashtags. Just to let you know - the maximum is 30....However, you barely add 4 hashtags and I have to do the rest. Plus, I have to find more content and videos, as you can see on every single post that I have completed or finished on my Instagram account. I am also paying additional money to Instagram to promote my ads and get more followers - on top of what I am paying you. I wonder - Did I pay you so that I can do 50% of the work and stay on top of you all??? Did I pay you to make huge mistakes and target the wrong market??? This is not my job. You have sold me a lie and an unprofessional job which is lead by an incompetent woman who blames her team all the time.

Due to this, I want a complete refund of what I have paid since we started with this campaign. You promised me excellent service, more followers, increased clientele, more exposure for my company and instead, this is a fiasco, I have lost a lot of money and time. New York City fall semester is around the corner and the idea of this campaign was to work during the summer to gather clients for this coming month (September). Now, it’s too late for me to do that as you spent the entirety of our agreement targeting the wrong market and not the zip codes I requested. August 31st is the last day of our agreement and I have received no new clients and no help/response from Kylie regarding why she marketed the wrong areas.

    This is too much,

    Marisa

On April 16, 2021, our hosting company, GoDaddy, decided to suspend our website. They sent me an e-mail a week earlier saying a folder on the site was violating their network policy, but they didn't say what policy I was violating. The e-mail was sent to a "spam collector" e-mail that I rarely check. When I called them about this issue, the customer service rep told me that they did an automated scan and found that we had zip files on the site, and he said zip files aren't allowed with my current hosting plan!

I said we've been hosting with them since 2008 and that we've always had zip files- it's how we sell products to our customers! But the customer service rep was like, that's what the scan found, so you need to delete the zip files to get the site restored. I said I need the zip files because I sell products and he was still like, that's the only way to restore the site. He couldn't say why they ran the scan now, or why we're suddenly not allowed to have zip files on my site.

I asked if there were any other options and was like, delete the zip files or your site stays down... which wasn't helpful at all! Then I had to ask if I could upgrade to a hosting plan that does allow zip files and he said that's an option, but again, I was the one who has to ask for it- he didn't offer it as an alternative. This requires a migration of the site and database, which could take up to 18 days.

He also said he'd put in a request to get the site up and running again since migrating to an upgraded plan will stop their scan. But that could take "up to 12 hours" but he didn't know when exactly it would be up again. He also promised that the existing site would not be affected since I agreed to pay for the upgraded service and to pay for the migration.

When I checked the site the next morning, after 12 hours, it was still down. I called GoDaddy's security department, talked to "Steve" and he said he'd check with their network violations team (the department that shut down our site). I was on hold for about 10 minutes, then he came back and said the site was now restored. I checked the site to verify, and he was correct. It seems like the first guy that I talked to never put in the request to restore our site!

Steve also gave me a few more details: he said the actual issue may be that we have too many zip files in one folder, but since he doesn't what the limit is, he couldn't tell me which zip file triggered their scan. And he couldn't explain why the first guy said they don't allow zip files. He also said that our website was on the co-hosted plan and they don't want any one customer using too much storage space. Yet when I checked my account settings, it said I had "unlimited storage space" and "unlimited traffic". So why am I being punished for using too much space?

Then the following week, one of our customers purchased a product and reported they didn't receive the product zip file. I checked the server and it seems that GoDaddy went back on their promise of not deleting any files until after our migration was complete! They actually DID delete all of the product zip files! Unfortunately, as I told them numerous times, this affects customers' purchases! AND I never received any notification that they would be deleting these files.

I called them yet again and explained that I paid for an upgraded hosting plan, I paid for a migration, and I was told they'd leave the product zip files alone. This tech was very helpful, but he said the "network violations" department was closed on the weekend, so he couldn't get permission from them to restore the product zip files. He then tried some other ideas, including talking to the hosting department and the Managed Services department. After talking to him for about 2 1/2 hours, it turned out that he was able to restore the product zip files from a backup earlier last week.

I then manually deleted a lot of older products so my total number of zip files falls below their (still unknown) limit. So the bottom line is: If you're an online business selling digital products, you can not have X number of product zip files. It seems no one knows what "X" is, but they'll delete all of your files, even if you agree to their terms and pay to upgrade your hosting plan.

GoDaddy Review. Buyer beware. I started my own business and for first year I purchased GoDaddy’s one year service agreement to have them create my website. I spent over $5,000 for this service. After we got the website like I wanted it, I told them I no longer need to pay for their maintenance of the site. I expected that the website would remain as is and if I needed changes, I would pay them fee for service. I checked it one time after I cancelled that service and did not look at it again for several months. When I did finally look, it was gone. I called them and they said they deleted it. They also said they would not restore it. I’m not one to post negative comments about a company, but this was expensive and time consuming and I feel like they just flat stole money and time from me. My website was very basic, and it would not take them long to recreate to keep me happy. But they refused. Sincerely, Renee **, CPA Hospice Financial Consultants

They will offer you a good price until you've done a lot of work setting up your site, then charge large amounts of money annually to maintain what you've worked so hard for, for a site that doesn't even accept money. I have another account I pay more for that does accept PayPal so I'm ok with that one. The one I'm referring to makes no money but they charge like it does. I'm very disappointed in this service.

Go Daddy claims to LOVE helping their customers with PROBLEMS (and of course selling them lots of products), or that is what the phone recording says, but that is far from reality. Tech support with this company is awful, terribly condescending, and ineffective....It's easier to Google a problem than deal with them, unless you like to be talked down to from snarky tech Tier One types or you are just a natural masochist.... You may want to have your IT department deal with them. (If you don't have such a department, good luck!!)

I guess that they somehow finance GoDaddy? The only solution offered by GoDaddy was to send an email to their legal dept and to their HQ?? Certegy are threatening to wreck my credit over a debt that according to me and, to GoDaddy I do not owe. So buyer beware, GoDaddy is dealing with some very shady entities that out of nowhere can threaten GoDaddy customers with debts that even GoDaddy admits, are not owed?? Seems insane!

On Feb 3 received email telling me that all my websites (12) were being migrated to a new server and as long as I don’t use WAF or CDN (I don’t) migration will be simple, I don’t need to do anything. I trusted them since all has been good previous years, no reason to check my sites. Feb 8, my customer called me and told me my bus website was missing. I checked and all 12 sites were gone. I called day and was on hold for over 45 minutes, no one ever answered. I tried again Feb 9 and was told they had to send me over to “migration support” waited 1.5 hr and no one ever came on. Tried again Feb 11 and the same thing repeated, again Feb 12 w/ same results. I put in a ticket to avoid phone ignore, and they responded with I must call in to resolve.

I have called 5 times and been on hold 10-15 minutes to be told I was being forwarded to the “migration team” responsible, and they never answered – waited on hold from 45 mins – to 1.75 hours with no one responding – and to date – no one has done anything to help get their problem fixed – I did not cause this – they did.

My final attempt was on Feb 18th and was actually working with a tech for about 3 hours – only to find out, she can not help me and she was trying to reach the migration team, who she said, is down and not up and working and hasn’t been for days. My business websites have now been down for over two weeks and no one will help get it corrected. I called Sales and told them I am moving my accounts since they have had it down for 2.5 weeks and no one seems to want to fix it, so I wanted a refund for the remaining half a year of hosting I paid for. They told me I am past the cancellation date and therefore no refund would be given. My websites are not up because of their stupidity, and to top it off, I can’t have a refund for my sites that are not actually online anymore. I want a 50% refund, I should sue them for more as they have interrupted my business dramatically with the lack of my websites online.

They promise 3 finished logos and have you engage in these useless consultations as if they really care about your preferences or unique logo needs and then create whatever they want - just to be able to say they created the logos as promised. I believe they take your money upfront because they know that the quality of the work is extremely poor and this way they can avoid you and/or fight you on a refund even when they didn't hold up their end of the bargain. The fact that Nick O, the Customer Experience Manager knows nothing about customer services but yet sits in this position is very telling that this department needs to be overhauled.

So, please do not waste your time working with him if you're not satisfied with your logo or Ail who apparently is a step or 2 above him is equally as bad. I have done other business with GoDaddy in terms of my domain, email addresses and hosting services, but am looking at some of their competitors for it is very clear that GoDaddy doesn't value their customers but maybe once they lose enough of business they'll begin to understand how important their customers really are.

Long story: I've been with GoDaddy since 2010 helping clients maintain their website. They used to be the golden standard in the 2000s but obviously that has changed! Since my clients didn't expect much, I didn't run into issues, until one day, I decided to create a website for myself. I chose Wordpress hosting. I picked a theme, paid for it, no issues for 2 years. On a random day, I decided to change the layout of my main page and when I saved the changes, I was hit with an internal server error (which other people here have mentioned).

When I contacted GoDaddy several times to see if anyone can offer an actual solution, they just kept telling me it's the theme's issue. When they changed my theme back to the default theme, the website was fine. To me, I can't understand how the theme was the issue. It was fine for 2 years and I didn't install ANY updates for it. One of my clients also used the same theme and he had no issues with it either. Eventually, I was tired so I purchased a new theme.

Again, everything was fine until one day, the website refused to load in specific locations, mostly my home, my workplace and my phone on LTE. I didn't even know how long this was going on as I barely view my own website unless I need to. I've asked people in different locations to also view my website and it worked for some people and not others. Many people had the same issue and posted on GoDaddy's forum but had no real solution to the problem. When I called up GoDaddy (3-4 times) and spoke with each of them for at least half hour, I was always getting the "everything is fine on our end" and they continuously blamed my ISP and everyone else's.

At the end, they came up with the idea that the server my website was hosted on is blocked off by ISPs. Why? No one knows. When I asked them if the website could be moved, I was told no because it's a shared server. The CSR told me to switch from Wordpress Hosting to Basic Web Hosting. I had to pay extra and on top of that, it was a frustrating experience. Because of GODADDY'S error and because my website refused to load for no reason, I ended up paying extra for transferring my service and they even had the nerves to want to charge me $100+ for a migration service for their mistake.

At this rate, I was completely through with them. On top of all this, I compared the pricing to other host/domain providers and without GoDaddy's reoccurring "promotion" pricing, they're not much cheaper than other providers. In fact, I could've paid $5 more elsewhere and get SSL certificate/security and daily backups at no extra cost. GoDaddy has been charging me $40 a year for backups and their cheapest SSL pricing was $80 on average. IMO, does it make sense to let a customer worry about these things? Why would anyone want to visit a website that isn't secured? No one does! Why this isn't added or included to any of their hosting plans is beyond my comprehension.

In 2021, GoDaddy is still charging for SSL certification and with different price ranges depending on the customer. Last year, they were charging my husband for a service he never used. GoDaddy credited him for the unused service (a service that he never opted into in the first place, by the way). The agent suggested to put the credit towards to an SSL certificate through phone. Everything seemed fine at the time. Just yesterday, my husband tried to modify his website and for some reason, it wasn't working. Spent 20 minutes on the phone with GoDaddy, the agent said that unless my husband renews and pays $150 for the SSL certificate that he previously had, the website won't work and there's no way around this. Are you serious? Why is the customer responsible for this?

Now my husband is infuriated as he was never told this ahead of time. On top of that, this was an upset product that was credited to him by phone. The agent didn't say anything about the website not working if SSL isn't being paid for anymore. GoDaddy has lost me as a customer, and I warned my husband in the past. Now, they also lost my husband as a customer.

I'm the Senior Architect for a medium sized web development firm. This is the kind of company that seems alright until it isn't... and then you're stuck with nowhere to go. Believe me, this is the kind of company you want to avoid. Most of GoDaddy's services are reliable with the exception of their SSL certificate portal which breaks often. The problem is that they practice "black-box" tech support. If there is a problem on their end then it will be escalated into a realm that is simply inaccessible, and from which they never provide information. Inquiring about the problem with first-level support will get you nowhere. If you're lucky (more often not at all!) you'll get an e-mail when they close the ticket - regardless of whether it has been resolved to your satisfaction.

This is not a single experience either. I have had this a handful of times and I've spent days pulling my hair and trying to get answers. The last time it happened, I e-mailed Auguste ** (Chief People Officer) and Jeff ** (Head of Account Management) pleading for information because there was no other avenue of recourse. They ignored my e-mails. In summary, GoDaddy refuses to be accountable for their problems. You might get a friendly voice on the phone but beyond first-level tech support, no one cares that you exist.

I was very frustrated and asked for other options, but was told I had to upgrade all 5 of our emails to their new secure platform. I ended feeling as I had no choice and paid the $2300 only to find out a few months later that it was an optional $88 per month per mail box upgrade to security that I did not need. $50 per month times 3 for 3 of the 5 for back up on top of the already expensive emails. I only just realized this when I went to get a new hire an email set up and was forced to pay another $190 per year for this email as I have to pay for security for this one as well.

On top of it I purchased Microsoft office from them because they said it has 5 licenses so all of my employees could have it on their computers only to find out it's one license I can have on 5 devices so basically I paid $300 for 1 Microsoft office license. Go Daddy is a horrible company, feels like a big scam and if you break it down to monthly I am paying $130 per month for 5 emails and 1 microsoft Office subscription for the next 3 years and the only way to add more emails to my domain is to pay another almost $200 per year per email! This seems to be quite a dysfunctional group to work with based on my experience. They claim they can get a website designed in 4-6 weeks. They kept bungling my appointments so that it took five attempts to make an appointment to review the website. The first two appointments were canceled by them at the last minute with no explanation. Every time my appointment was canceled I had to wait 2-3 weeks to be able to get back on the schedule. The third appointment was accidently scheduled at Eastern time instead of my local time zone.

Finally when I saw the first draft of the website I was so underwhelmed. I didn't even know where to start. It had very little information on it and looked like it was designed by an amateur. When I asked to talk to a supervisor, I was given the run-around, and was never contacted by a supervisor. The other thing which I was not comfortable with is that you never are assigned to just one person. Whoever answers the phone when you call in is the person who is going to work with you that day. This does not provide for consistency or accountability. Between all the appointment blunders, miscommunications and a milk toast product, I felt I had to call a loss and start over from scratch with a different company.

Finally after writing an online review (They do not allow you to write google reviews) I finally started getting phone calls from their customer service, and at the end they gave me a partial refund. Of course no one pays me for all of my wasted time going around in circles with them. Based on these experiences I would put these problems all at the feet of the person who is managing this department, and question their ability to lead and provide a good service. Here I am now three months later starting over. Is this the website design experience you would like to have?

I have that email forwarded to my main email account and wondered why I wasn't getting my formal US govt filing alert emails. When I went into my account it said the account wasn't set up despite being set up since 2019. When I called them they said the server settings weren't right. When I asked how they were right for 13 months and then stopped (I paid for 2 years) she said there was no way GoDaddy could have changed them. Be assured that I didn't -- nor do I have any idea how that is done. In fact, because it's not linked to a hosting account, I'm not even sure it's even possible. She fixed it. Then she said she would look into it because I demanded a reason for the failure.

If I can't trust them on my professional email accounts, then I can't trust them anymore at all. I was holding awhile waiting for her to come back and then realized she hung up. Two years ago they lost my whole newly designed website due to what they called an internal "server glitch." And could not recover it. That was an expensive loss. I guess I was too generous giving them another year to recover. Now I'll move the rest of my products to Hostgator which has been operating fine to date. It's a shame because I've been with GoDaddy since they started. At one time they really did have award winning customer service, but that's been steadily deteriorating since they went public. GoDaddy is a terrible hosting provider, it has a very deceiving business model and all in all a terrible host. Here are the three main reasons why we switched away from GoDaddy. Little disclaimer, our opinion is based on the eCommerce plan for Wordpress hosting.

1 - Absolutely horrific uptime: We started with GoDaddy in September, since then we have had 126 down events, 126!!!! Adding all of our downtime together that means our website has been down for 10h 28m 26s!! 10 HOURS in a little bit more than 3 months! That is so far from the 99.99% uptime promise that they give. Last week we got 81 down events. Now when you sign up for a Godaddy subscription you get some peace of mind knowing you get a 99.99% uptime guarantee. What they don't tell you is that that guarantee is a 5% discount on your next renewal if THEY decide they've not delivered on their promise. We switched to a different host for almost 1 month now and we've still been having down events while no one has been visiting the website. Now keep in mind our website is in development mode, which means it is not being indexed by search engines and only accessed by a maximum of 20 people within the company. So without even being visible to the public it is crashing constantly! So just imagine what it would be like it we went live with it.

2 - Very Limited Unlimited Resources: When all those down events started happening I started doing some digging around and discovered that most of those errors were Internal 500 Server Errors, which means our server is running out of resources and crashing. So much for unlimited resources. So if an online store with only 2000 products with a maximum of 20 visitors is crashing constantly, how could you possibly imagine going to market with a host like this. So the claim that you will receive all of the resources your website is clearly false. And that was impacting our performance as well. Our website was taking between 7-9s to load the home page and that was completely because of our host, the reason why I know that is because when we switched to a different host and simply did a migration our website went from taking 8s to load to 1.4s without any optimization on our part, just a carbon copy.

3 - Useless Tech Support: I contacted tech support dozens of times and never got a single answer from them. It took me 25min to even get in contact with them and they never managed to give me a single answer as to why our website was crashing so often. They would tell me that they can't see what the problem could be unless the problem is happening when you call them, which if you know anything about servers and the concept of monitoring tools and logs is clearly **.

Conclusion: All in all GoDaddy is a deceiving and subpar host that fails to deliver on every single promise they make you. Their pricing might be appealing but you really do get what you pay for which is ... not much. If you want a reliable host and create a good experience for your visitors stay away from GoDaddy (unless you need domain names and only that, they are really good for that).

They are the worst company out there related to hosting, email, domain, etc... I have been with them for almost 9-years and each year they go up in price and down on service. They add services to your bill without your authorization, they have now itemized every service and now charge for "add-ons" that were a part of my original plan. For example, Smartline and Group calendar, were not a part of my original service, however, I never used these, never authorized the charges, yet they slammed these two "add-ons" onto my billing. I had to call to get a refund; had I not called they would have continued charging me for "add-ons" I did not request an/or authorize. This is just a recent example, my experience in my 9-years and after reviewing my billing history closely, they have been doing this gradually, even more so most recently.

Their basic hosting package doesn't come with an email address ANYMORE and/or a website, it's now all sold separately. Over the 9-years, they have canceled my original plan and now charging me for services that were a part of my original package. Verses grandfathering in their loyal existing customers, they disassemble the service and charge us now for service that was historically a part of my original package. Now they offer email forwarding versus an email account. The Webulider now is incorporated with the hosting, so you don't get the original Webulider plan that came with your package.

There have been so many changes over the year, thus to optimize their profit they charge everyone versus charging the new customers for the new product offerings. They deleted my webpage because now I have to pay $15 per month for Webuilder; which was originally the tool used to create your website which came with your domain package which included, domain name registration, email, and website.

Their customer service reps are rude, arrogant, and unprofessional. The hold times are outrageous, and the support is basic trash! This was pre-COVID, it's gotten even worse after COVID! In addition, for the last 9-years, I have been with Go Daddy, I have never once spoken with a female technical support analyst, from my perspective this appears as if they may need a D&I rebalancing too! Bottomline, I am in the process of moving to a new hosting company and would not recommend GoDaddy. If their billing practices are not illegal, they sure are not in the best interest of their customers.

Unless you want a very slow website and an unreliable server then I would suggest you go with a different hosting company. This company is bad to the core. I have spent thousands on shoddy products and was left up a creek without a paddle when COVID started in March. I had been hosting at $38 per month with them for 2 almost 3 years with SSL, Backup and domains added on. At the start of COVID my business couldn't operate at all due to restrictions placed in Victoria. Initially, my main grievance was because I had asked for them to complete a 301 redirect from my old website domain. I had the IT member I recruited check this and they 'DIDN'T DO IT CORRECTLY!' Meaning my website had to get recognised by search engines again. Then right when COVID happened and I lost over $20K in jobs overnight, they issued me an invoice for SSL. Let me point out it was over 12 times the price I had paid originally for an SSL with them.

When I asked them if they could do me something better, they outright refused. Honey managed to pull up a promo code for $19.95 when I was about to give them my credit card details to pay for it on the phone. I queried this discrepancy with the price and I quote them directly 'that product is for new customers only, if it fails and your website goes down we won't help you. The new fee is to reissue your SSL you can pay that or take the risk your website goes down until you pay us.' I was gobsmacked at this response, using fear and threats is disgusting. After all this, I was livid, to say the least, I have never been treated like this my entire life. On a positive note. I finally changed where I got HOSTING, SSL, BACKUP, EMAILS, WEBSITE MIGRATION & FASTER SPEEDS for $120 per year!!!! MY GTmetrix report showed a 1-second drop in page load time! Let that sink in. I was paying over 3 times more for slower speeds.

That's right $120 for all that VS. $456 for just HOSTING! This company is the worst I have dealt with in my whole life. To be a paying customer and to be treated like my business doesn't matter is reprehensible. One thing I learnt from my MBA, only 5% of customers actually complain, so just imagine how many disgruntled customers they have. I have only dealt with one good agent when I first started with them. I don't recall his name but one out of the hundreds of painful calls doesn't redeem them. Avoid them like you avoid your mother in law. Find an honest hosting company that values you as a customer.

It still is not migrated over-they keep coming up with excuses as to why it isn't done. When I told them to quit, and to refund my money, they refused, saying it was not refundable after 30 days. Over 3 weeks ago my email system security was change to a 2 step verification, which did not work and kept me locked out of email. After several weeks and many hours on the phone with support and many broken promises, they again deflect responsibility to my pc and software browser.

The tech support person tells me there is no escalating my problem to anyone. WHAT COMPANY DOES NOT HAVE AN ESCALATION PROCESS FOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE? Only companies not interested in customer service, just profits. Finally after 3 weeks of trying to get me to access email I GoDaddy confuses the issue by saying it has been this or that which has been the problem. Yes it has because they made it other issues, since NEITHER THEY COULD. I cannot recommend Godaddy to anyone I like in good conscience.

I have had a hosted email account from hostdaddy for a decades. Now they are migrating to Outlook 365 and I am not going I hate 365. I moved my service to a different provider. I repointed all the DNS and things are better than before. Then I noticed that my unused email account at Godaddy is getting these Junk Emails every day. These are the emails I could never figure out how I was getting, they were addressed to an alphanumeric string at a domain with a finky name or even another alphanumeric string as a fuly qualified domain. THAT RIGHT THESE ARE ADDRESSED TO PHONE ADDRESSES BUT ENDING UP IN MY BOX.

I always wondered how this happened and now I know. The only way that these emails can get there is if someone is simply copying them into there, not emailing them. This is still happening and I would love to let anyone see that wants to. Oh and the good thing about the 365 is that it made me change hosting companies as they have been the worst getting worser the last 10 years. I have always wanted to get out but never did. I just joined to tell people about this and do your own experiments if you are getting the junk addressed to not your email in the box.

Consumer Affairs let me show you, I will even let you log in there and monitor and check the DNS, there is no way else they are going in. My mail is now hosted somewhere else this is a dead mailbox (except for this junk email). Contact me and let me show you this is real. I have attached some pictures one email even ended up in my bulk email folder. Not sure why the pictures aren't loading but they were yesterday. They will load on my outlook account that I set up to monitor without going to a web interface I went to so you could see the actual email folder. Look at the email addresses. They are not mine. GoDaddy has been a company we use a domain registrar and hosting for several years now. When we first got them for our budding business, we loved them. Wonderful and helpful customer service, little to no issues, and just a great overall company for our money. Well, over the last few years, things have gone downhill drastically. Customer service phone wait times have increased from under 5 minutes to 60+ minutes.

I am now on the phone with them for HOURS anytime I have an issue, and 90% of the people I talk to wouldn't know a thing about hosting a website if it hit them square in the face. So many reps at this point just transfer me to someone else because they either don't want to handle my issue or don't know how to. I am sometimes on the phone for 4+ hours getting transferred and transferred, waiting an hour on hold in between each transfer. Most of the time this ends in them creating a ticket for more advanced support to review, which can take up to 72 hours to resolve. In the meantime, I get no communication as to what's going on, and finally I receive a 1 or 2 sentence email saying my issue has been resolved when it hasn't, with no details or assurance that it won't happen again.

In the last month or so, I have noticed some of my client websites going down for a few hours, sometimes half a day, usually in the middle of the night. When I called GoDaddy, they said it's likely that our plan can't handle using several resources at once while things are updating so it causes the websites to crash temporarily and there's nothing we can do but upgrade (and pay hundreds more dollars) to give it more room (even though we just upgraded that plan 2 years ago to one that should have ample room).

It's always upgrade upgrade upgrade with them. They used to find a resolution to our problem, but now they just want you to spend more money. They also now charge insane fees for fixing problems for you. I had some plugin issues with several websites on a hosting account, and they told me it would be $150+ dollars per website to do the little bit of updating needed on each. I opted to do it myself, which was far more time consuming to learn rather than have them do it in half the time.

The last week has been hell. One hosting plan housing 180+ client websites went down. When I called, I kept getting different answers as to what as wrong. First it was that our storage maxed out, which should not have happened seeing as how we upgraded 2 years ago and it has housed that many websites for that long with no issues. The next person said it was 1 website causing the whole hosting to crash. The third person said he couldn't access it so he didn't know what the issue was, but he rebooted it several times to no avail. He then created a ticket that could take up to 72 hours to resolve. Trying to be patient, I waited and did crisis control for my clients that were freaking out about their websites being down. I had no answers, but awaiting Tuesday morning to get an answer.

Come Tuesday morning, nothing. No emails, no calls, no resolution. I can't even access my control panel at this point. I was at a total loss at to what was happening. I called Tuesday morning to be told that the first ticket was closed and another was opened, giving them another 72 hours to resolve it. I was trying to get answers as to what was going on and if there are any files I could access to get the priority websites temporarily moved over to a different hosting just to get them working, and they just kept giving me the runaround, putting me on hold, transferring me to more advanced tech support.

Finally, I called yesterday (10/7/2020) and finally got an answer to what happened after being told 2 other possibilities. I was told that the server failed. They couldn't tell me why, just that it failed and it happens sometimes. They moved it over to another server and everything is accessible now. But the websites were still down. This is because they moved the server, which changed the IP, so all 180+ websites now need to be redirected, again. I was not given a heads up or even asked about this. They did it, and didn't bother telling me until I called them yesterday and demanded an answer. The reps before the last guy couldn't even tell me what was happening; there were no notes on the account or anything to decipher what they did. This is awful communication. I had to talk to a different person each time, most of which had no idea what was happening with my account.

It took them a week to tell me what even happened, and then left me with a huge undertaking of having to contact each of those clients to change their IPs with no other option or solution. They had no remorse, offered no refund (even for the time that our hosting was down and paid for it), and all the guy could say was "sometimes technology fails and you're lucky you didn't lose everything due to our early detection system". Early detection system? They didn't even know there was a problem until I called them the day after the websites went down! They said this was the best case scenario, as we could have lost everything. I didn't know that losing all of the files on the hosting was ever a concern!

I am currently looking for another hosting company to migrate all of our sites over to because I am done with GoDaddy and their poor customer service and unreliable service. It seems as though most of their reps have basic to no training and no resources to even access the correct things to help their clients. I think GoDaddy has become too large to manage their client base properly, and they have been having way too many system failures. I won't be putting my company and my clients at risk with GoDaddy. They have lost all of my business and any referrals (we referred all of our clients to them to purchase domains, but no more). I would not recommend this company whatsoever due to inflated prices and constant up-selling, poor customer service, and system failures.

After reluctantly doing so under "protest" they then came back with even more unreasonable demands.

Additional calls to customer service individuals did not result in any resolution. The new credit card in question has been with me for 15 years also but had not been active for the past five. I have used this card with many other merchants without any issues. Why the issue with this company? This is just plain harassment and extremely poor customer service without justification. Updated on 10/18/2020: This is a follow up review of GoDaddy, which I have already complained to BBB, ICANN, and the FTC about. I received a response which says they are not going to refund my money, and today I received an email saying that they parked my new host server onto an old domain I removed a long time ago. That was it for me. I just thought I would warn everybody that this was not the same service I'd been dealing with for 10+ years. Do not use GoDaddy for anything. They are not playing by the same rules.

Original Review: Today I tried to resolve a dispute with GoDaddy because they attached an old server to my new domain, which I bought a month ago. They claimed that I had to renew it in December, and the old server hosting service was bought a year ago. After going around and around with them over the phone (their email and chat support were a joke), I have begun the process of transferring my domain over to another hosting service. I have already pointed the site to the new service. I must wait until the site is free to be transferred until I do and then close my account.

It's not just that I am angry with their poor to nonexistence customer support, I have been with them for over 10 years and this is the first time I have had to move again to another hosting service after deleting my old domains and attached subroutines. It is also that they claim to be helpful but their community are left asking questions and then left to wait sometimes months before anyone reaches out to help. With this new hosting service, I can chat with support and get my issues resolved almost right away. It seems to me that GoDaddy has become a dinosaur. I don't plan on using them ever again.

My first appointment was 20 days later, so I missed my return date. I said, "Okay fine. Let's do this." They promised me it takes 24-48 hours to update or make changes to my site. They lied, everything takes a week, and they didn't do it right, then it took another week. I had to correct their spelling and repeatedly mistakes. I know Wordpress and I did my personal website using WP in 2 days.

I thought for $3000 I would get a professional design. Their version of "professional web design" is to use a template and add pictures to it. There was no designing involve, I could have done that for free. After months of no activities, I asked for my money back, and they said I could only get 50% of it back. This is for one year contract, and nothing was done for the last four months. They did not return any of my calls or reach out to me since March. My account has directions to forward my request to an account manager, and I have left numerous voicemail to the account manager and never got a reply. Worst experience ever. I have been with Go daddy for other services for over 12 years. I do not recommend their web design service. My website is still not published and in limbo. They already got my money, and I did not get my product.

GoDaddy assumes no responsibility for three Websites having been demolished and claim this is customer responsibility for not having purchased even more add-ons. Additionally passwords for all email accounts were hacked as well, which seems of no interest to this gigantic provider.

We have been a long time Godaddy customer, with many services subscribed and pay them a handsome sum every year. However, when it came to getting a refund on a service cancellation, we were denied the refund. Customer service rep did not listen to our case at all, and kept saying the same thing again and again, stating that the service was paid for and we were outside of the 30-day refund window.

In reality, the wild card SSL certificate was auto renewed two months before its expiration date, and was NEVER used. As a matter of the fact, our website was not protected when the old cert expired and we had to scramble to buy a standard SSL to secure our website. When I called in to cancel the wild card SSL, I was told that I was outside of the 30-day refund period, and they could only give me a one-year credit on a two-year certificate! This wild card SSL has done nothing for us, and even if it has, we were only two months into the two-year period. Why can't they prorate the refund? After all, we are cancelling a product that is supposed to protect our website for two years.

GoDaddy is just greedy and doesn't care about its customers. The very reasons they auto renew SSL TWO MONTHS before its expiration date are (1) they get your money early, and (2) they set it up so that they can refuse to refund to you if the SSL has any issues when you actually install it. This is THE WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I'll start transfer my domains and other services to Bluehost or Domain.com.

Rather than telling me I was trying to log in on the wrong site they let the direct debits keep happening until I figured it out myself. They are not helpful at all.

I’m going to relate my experience with GoDaddy’s web development. On June 12, 2020 I paid GoDaddy $3,006 to build a website. I had done a temporary website myself that contained everything I wanted and all they had to do was duplicate it. I even included a list of specific items I wanted. On June 17th they had posted their first attempt. I could not have been more disappointed. It was nothing more than a down and dirty attempt that completely ignored what I had asked for. I figured I could get it corrected but was told that no corrections could be done until we had a revision meeting on June 26th (9 days of nothing being done).

At the revision meeting I was told it would be another 14 days before I could have any input again. Do not think you’ll have access to anyone except when they can get around to it. That’s no way to treat a customer. I asked for my $3,006 back and was told a customer service rep would call me within two days to discuss. No one called.

On July 7th I called them and was told it was being turned over to a supervisor who would immediately take care of it, but they would not provide a name or contact number. No one called. On July 9th I denied the charges with the credit card company. On July 20th I finally get a call with the we’re so sorry crap and what can we do to fix this. The only way to fix it is to give me my money back. I was told per their policy they would only refund $1,800. Seriously. Now I’m in a legal battle. You best seriously think about using this company and certainly before you give them any money. They leave you little recourse if you’re not satisfied with the product. Disgusting at best. I’ll continue to post as I litigate this so everyone can experience what it’s like to work with GoDaddy web development.

Occasionally I had to be transferred to someone else but the quality of the service and the courtesy were always top notch. HE WAS TRYING TO GET ADDITIONAL MONEY AFTER I PAID HIM $1200. I found out the company that it was transferred to was namecheap. I got in touch with them. They investigated the situation after I sent them proof of not only my ownership information, but asked them to call the phone number, my number which was still on the website. They called and I answered.

The representative from namecheap was so helpful and told me that she would send me an email with instructions on how to get the domain and website back. Basically they asked GODADDY to send them a request and they would transfer it back. GODADDY REFUSED. They said they weren't going to get involved in a "civil matter" and told me to hire an attorney and sue the person in question. I found out that THEY ARE LOCATED IN BANGLADESH! I followed up with GODADDY and they JUST RE FORWARDED the initial email telling me to hire a lawyer.

THIS IS AFTER NAMECHEAP VERIFIED MY INFORMATION AND SAID THAT THEY WOULD TRANSFER IT BACK. GODADDY REFUSED to help me! I am older and not familiar with the process of putting websites together. I trusted GoDaddy, but when it came time to TRULY help one of their customers, I WAS SHOCKED .... BECAUSE THEY SAID NO. But I believe in Karma both in life and in business. Godaddy is the worst Internet company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with! (and that's judging them on the positive side, by which I mean I'm not claiming they're outright fraudsters, but rather just totally inept and incompetent, but I could be wrong about that!) I am a registrant holding hundreds of domains. But I have had several customers with UK domains who have in the past attempted to transfer their domains to Godaddy. The result? At least one *lost* a very valuable domain due to incompetence by Godaddy, who failed to alert them that renewal of said domain was required! Others have been unable to get their domains up and running for weeks.

Communication isn't exactly their strong point. I've learned the hard way over many years that they have absolutely no clue when it comes to UK domains. If I sell such a domain they email with their standard message '...please log into your account and follow the transfer details... supply the authorisation code...' The problem is this advice simply does not apply to UK domains as they work on a completely separate tag system. For years I've had to confirm the correct procedure with them for every UK domain I've sold.

I have listed 100's of domains in the Godaddy parking system which promises generous returns. The result? Perhaps 3 payments in the last 5 years each of $40 approx. The excuse? Well a year or so ago after calling the company I was told I needed to update my account payee details. Did they tell me by email or other contact that this was a requirement? No, never! Have I been paid since making this update? Yes, about two payments of about $40. Their excuse? I have shouted at them over the phone and sent several emails but have never received a logical answer as to why I haven't been paid. It's totally *illogical* that I would have received clicks on my domain listings for just 3 months but none in the other 57 or so months! Assuming that I was owed $40 for the outstanding 57 months this means they have *stolen* approximately $2280 from me over this period!

Next, they have a 'discount domain club' which is meant to give value to registrants who have many domains held with them. However don't be fooled. The annual renewal charges are still *way* higher than many other registrars. For some TLD's they can be eye-watering! If you attempt to apply one of their 'promo codes' it always tells you 'we have already applied multiple discounts to your purchase ....' In other words they never work!

Now this incident, which has finally tipped me over the edge. A month ago I received an email stating 'Congratulations your domain thestockexchange.co.uk has sold... please start transfer of the domain ...' I have received several such messages over the years but this one was a little different. Why? Because I do not, and never did own this domain! I do own thestockxchange.co.uk but obviously this is totally different. They claim I listed the domain in 2016. I maintain that I *never* listed it with them. Of course I responded by email pointing out their mistake. The result? I received no reply (although they claim to have replied).

Three weeks later another email 'Congratulations your domain ebookies.co.uk has sold... please start transfer of the domain ...' This time they were correct that I owned the domain. So I logged in to check the details of the sale. But I couldn't! It kept redirecting to the help pages. There was no way I could see my listings or sales. I called them and they failed to answer why there appeared to be an error in their website navigation. But the worst part was to come.

I sent them confirmation I had changed the ebookies.co.uk domain tag subsequent to the sale and their response email was 'You can not login to auctions.godaddy.com, because your Auctions access has been suspended due to non delivery of the domain THESTOCKEXCHANGE.CO.UK from 04.07.2020. Since being able to deliver a domain you sold is considered a violation of the GoDaddy Auctions Terms of Service, we added a $50 administrative fee to your cart.' Yes that's right they're attempting to fine me for *their* mistake! I was *furious* when I read this and called them. 'Ivan' spent a while relaying my outrage to the auctions team and the result after an hour on the phone? They said the $50 was an error and it should have been $10, but absolutely refused to admit it was all their fault from the start.

I maintain even if I had made an error by listing it (which I absolutely deny) they should never have automatically assumed I was the owner without doing simple Whois checks. I have listed many domains also at Sedo for example. Their system automatically checks ownership from the very start and then about once a week thereafter for every domain, and if it appears you don't own it then they automatically remove the name from your list, and send you a confirmation email to that effect. Does Godaddy do anything similar? Obviously not!

And there are so many reasons why your ownership status could have changed. You could have sold it through numerous other Websites like Afternic, Sedo, Namepros etc. etc. or your ownership could simply have lapsed. Why have I stayed with Godaddy so long? Inertia I guess you call it. Transferring domains is a chore that I resisted, until today when I have finally decided to cut my links with these morons, incompetents, fraudsters and liars. You make up your own minds!

On 4/23/2022 we had a Rollup awning installed by ROLLUP awnings Holbrook NY 11741. When they arrived for the installation, the installer said that he could not install the awning that the salesperson Gregg (the owner's son) was incorrect on his measuring of the size of the awning and installation parts. Needless to say we were quite upset and he said he would call the office.

After the call he said he could install much larger brackets, but could not install them where the salesman had said they would go, which was suppose to be installed closer toward the lower part of the roof. I asked what about the awning itself, that he said was to wide? He said it would be close but he thought it would be ok. Needless to say we had a bad feeling with this installer.

After completion and when he asked us to come out and look at it, we were taken back how big the brackets were and how far back from the front of the roof the awning was, but it did fit and wasn't too wide (actually the awning was measured correctly). When it was opened it is beautiful and we are very happy, it definitely was what we hoping for shade and rain. He had us sign a bunch of papers, we paid the balance due and tipped all 3 of the installers. (Would of gave them more, but we weren't comfortable with them from the beginning).

After they left I realized they didn't leave the warranty info or the installation booklet. I called Gregg the salesman (owner's son) and asked him if he could stop by when in the area and look at the awning location and height, and drop off the warranty and installation booklet (in case of any roof problems or damage to the installation of the awning from a storm). He told me to send pictures, he would mail me the warranty but not the booklet because they want to be the ones to do any repairs so it would be done correctly. Gregg called me and said the installation was fine. I asked about the space between the awning and roof that rain could come through and he said you shouldn't use the awning in the rain.

May 5th and on May 10th I texted Gregg again requesting the warranty. His answer was they don't have them in stock and should be in about a month and he will mail out then. I now called the office a few more times requesting the warranty, spoke with Naomi once or twice and finally September 2nd called the office spoke with Emily requesting the warranty and explaining again the installation was April 23rd, I've made numerous calls, what is the problem? Are they hiding something? Her answer was for me to come to the office and pick up the warranty, 30-40 minutes away from where I live. I told her I live in a big complex that Gregg says he's in here all the time so he can drop it off, especially after with the run around they all have been giving me. Emily's answer was she will mail it and I should have by Friday September 9th.

It is now Sept 13th and still haven't received it and don't think they have any thought of getting it to me. Be very careful dealing with Rollup awnings in Holbrook NY. Make sure you get everything in writing and that you can read it. Bottom line is I gave them 3 out of 5 on the review, because we are very happy with the awning when it's open. We believe it is made well. Don't like the way it looks on the roof when it's closed and not the way the salesman said it would (also my neighbor has the same roof as me, has the smaller brackets and his awning is much closer to the end of the roof than mine).

For a salesman who works in here all the time to be that off with his measurements or was it the installation crew that was wrong? (Again wasn't comfortable with them). For a salesman who's in this complex all the time, why couldn't he stop by and look at the installation instead of sending pictures? Was this true? I'll let the management company know of our experience with Rollup awnings. Is it REASONABLE to get the run around I've been getting with the warranty, which I believe comes at the time of the installation in a packet? I think I've been very patient, 5 months, well enough is enough. And didn't have problems prior to full payment... Just saying BE CAREFUL!!!!

I have had hosting service and I have purchase domains from Goddady for more than ten years, and as years go by I am more and more dissatisfied with their service and their business practices, their tech assistance is nonexistent, their technicians are only there to sell you more products, I recently purchased their SSL Certificate which they charged me around $80 and they leaved me alone with the installation of the certificate which never worked, they will not offer any technical help, they will offer you to install it for you, for which they charge hundreds, I have already started to migrate my hosting and websites to Hostgator.

They will trick you into a low buy in then the renewals are outrageously priced and they will charge your CC without your approval for a long term renewal on YOUR website. DO NOT USE!!! I'm thankful to my bank who managed to reverse the huge amount deducted by GoDaddy and credited into my account.

Their price seemed very reasonable when I made the order. It actually included some unnecessary services at no additional cost. A year later one of those services was renewed automatically with a big price tag and I was charged unexpectedly. It was very hard to find out on their web site where to cancel the renewal (it might be better now). Also, apparently they sold my contact information to the web development companies and they kept on calling me... Very annoying. Please be very careful when dealing with Godaddy!!

Being new to Godaddy.com I was quite excited about the domain offers. The ones I selected were $0.99 each. Can't beat that can you! Once in my cart they were considerably higher than the listed price, but still relatively cheap so I proceeded to try and pay for the 5 domains I had selected, total $50. The credit card payment didn't go through - that's ok, it happens! When I added the same domains a second time, for the same period the cart value was now $120. I asked their CS what happened but they could help. Wondering if they have an algorithm that pushes the price up after initial interest. Either way I felt very cheated. Please be vary careful and double check your cart value before checking out. I won't be using them again.

So, one day I get a call from GoDaddy asking me what I think of their services. I explained that I am generally happy with their services and that I have a domain name simply for the associated email address. The very next week I get an email from them telling me that they no longer support the free email that comes with domain names registered with them. They have received payment from me for the next year already. That is a despicable and hurtful thing to do to someone. Call them, find out what they like and are happy with and then discontinue it.

I purchased domain name and hosting from Go Daddy in December 18. This year I did not renew my hosting and all the blog posts that I had made in the year for which I had made the payment disappeared. My website disappeared. They charged me Rs. 5000 for backup. I was forced to purchase hosting for another year to receive my backup.

I also have trouble uploading posts. Pictures don't get uploaded. Posts don't get posted. Changes don't get saved. I have not been able to grow my blog because it takes forever for a single blog post to get posted. It is a nightmare. They do not help with any technical issue either. I called them today to help me with an error but I only ended up wasting my time. I will discontinue their service from this year onwards.

I will find one weekend one of these weekends to detail their refund policy, how they delete your domain without even reaching out to you, and how they are prepared to lose business from someone who has done business with them for years - just because they cant waive 60 bucks known as "Expert Services - WSB Restore - Onetime" - My domain was deleted because, for some reason, the autopay renewal setting somehow ended without my notice. But can they even try to understand your predicament? No! Well, good luck using them for business.

I recently had some old domains renew from 10 years ago that I had completely forgotten about on a credit card I no longer use. Luckily for Mint, when I was reviewing purchases I saw the expense. (I HIGHLY recommend the Mint app btw.) I called Go Daddy 20 days after the charge and said I would pay for the portion I used (20 days) but the rep said it was not an issue and I would get a full refund. Flash forward 2+ weeks and no refund had come so I called back. This time the rep said that since I technically owned the domains for 20 days I have to pay the full 10 year renewal. So 20 days cost me 3650 days... insane. I would have even understood if they had said I have to pay for 1 of the year and refunded the other nine on these multiple domains, but 10 years due to a technicality is just highway robbery. I had already switched to Google Domains, but I highly recommend you do too!

Has anyone else had GoDaddy charged them for their website design and marketing services without permission?

The worst part was that they kept pressuring me to use their website instead of my own, which I had just had rebuilt. They said if I discontinued the service with them that nothing would change for my own website, it would go back to exactly the same as it had been before- this is the rub! It did not!! They completely wiped it clean!! I luckily had files saved, but now have to pay my designer to rebuild it with the files he saved. I would never recommend them - so this is just a warning to the consumer! Hope it helps.

I called up the day before my domain names were due to be renewed to cancel them but was advised I'd been charged a week earlier and that they couldn't be cancelled yet. Even though I advised that the domain's original 1 year purchase doesn't expire until tomorrow, they advised I still couldn't cancel the next 2 year renewal and can't refund me the $500 they had charged me.

They pointed me to AUDA policy as to why they couldn't refund, so I looked this up and found that per AUDA they still should and could refund me, to which the contact named Nada simply advised their own policy said they can't and won't even though she had just said it was because of the AUDA policy. After spending over $2k in 12 months with Go Daddy I am in disbelief with the lack of willingness to assist in a matter where they clearly have the power to assist.

Our Business has hosted over 20+ domains, business email, and other services with GoDummy for over 10 years. We've tolerated the over priced renewal charges for domain names and everything else but in 2019 they decided to double their email plan fees, take it from 15 emails to 5 and then charge $23 for each email. We decided to downgraded a few days before renewal and were still charged the full amount. Contacted customer support. They said they would refund the overage and then got an email saying they rejected the refund. Needless to say we will be moving all of our domains, email, and other services to another provider. Clearly GoDummy thinks that a $230+ refund is worth the cost of a $10,000+ spent customer so whatever. Do yourself a favor and pick a different provider for EVERYTHING.

We have been with Godaddy for years. Building up a portfolio of 1000s of domains. I had a great account manager who was extremely supportive, responsive and always there to help. Whether it was assisting with tasks, or getting us the best possible prices. AND ALL OF A SUDDEN. We were upgraded to “VIP” as we had enough products to suitable for their premium service. Yeah right! They stopped the previous account manager from contacting. The one that was extremely helpful and always available.

We were handed over to a different dedicated manager for our account which has been a disaster. I’ve never experienced something like this. It’s as if we have paid our way to an inferior service. The new dedicated support staff member has been useless. Flogging off all requests for help, offering none of the initial assistance, super arrogant, hardly ever available, never offering that bit extra to a client that has invested a significant amount into godaddy. It’s a shame - that this one individual has destroyed our connection with godaddy. We have stop buying any domains, renewing or upgrading any of our products due the experience of our new dedicated account manager. We’re in the process of moving domains over to other registrars that care about their serious customers... Don’t keep spending at Godaddy. It’ll Just get worse. And I haven’t even men.

To date I have charged $79.73 for a phone line that I have never used. Customer "service' informed me that I cannot be refunded the monies paid as their cancellation policy will only refund funds up to 48 hours after payment is made. I will personally never use any of this company's services as this interaction has amounted to nothing short of theft.
