We have had a great experience with GEICO and especially with Ray from Customer Service, who was our adjuster and helped us with our issue after a parking collision. He truly made us feel seen and safe, he was kind, funny and very friendly. I hope Ray gets to see this, and also his managers. They are lucky to someone like him on the team. We will keep choosing GEICO after this incident.

I am incredibly grateful for the outstanding service I received from Kaled! I have been a loyal GEICO customer for 18 years, but lately, with teenagers on my policy, the premium has been outrageous. In the past, I’ve called customer service and didn’t have the best experience, but Kaled completely changed my perspective. He truly listened to my concerns, took his time, and carefully reviewed my policy line by line to show me exactly where I could save money. Being on a tight budget right now, his help makes a massive difference for me. Kaled’s professionalism, patience, and genuine care are rare to find. Thank you, Kaled, for going above and beyond! GEICO is lucky to have you on their team.

I left State Farm after 44 years because of their constant raising of my monthly payments. I'm old and drive once a week. But State Farm didn't care. They said the raise in payments is because of all the claims and auto parts cost. Hello!? Those weren't my claims or auto parts cost. I'm going to pay for others' claims and parts! I switched to Geico, who is treating me right and fair. My first 6 months was lower payments than State Farm. And... my Geico monthly payment DECREASED this month. Finally found a fair insurance company. And I checked out plenty for quotes before choosing Geico. I recommend Geico.

I am extremely disappointed with the poor service I received from GEICO on October 22, 2026. I have been a loyal customer for many years, and I never expected to be left without assistance when I needed it most. At approximately 11:30 p.m., while stopped at a red light at 2701 NW 36th Street, Miami, FL 33142, my tire suddenly blew out. I was alone late at night in an area where I felt unsafe, so I moved my vehicle to a nearby gas station.

When I contacted GEICO through the roadside assistance number provided in the app, I was directed to an automated system that sent me a link. However, the website indicated that it was under maintenance. The alternative phone number provided was also unavailable. I repeated this process multiple times, but I was unable to obtain assistance or arrange a tow truck through GEICO. I was ultimately forced to find a tow truck on my own at approximately 1:00 a.m. and take my vehicle to the nearest dealership. My original plan was to have my car towed home and purchase a more affordable replacement tire the following day. Because GEICO failed to provide assistance, I had no reasonable alternative but to pay the dealership’s higher tire replacement cost.

To make matters worse, when I contacted customer service the following day, I received another disappointing experience, with little empathy or willingness to address my concerns. This was not simply an inconvenience. I was left feeling vulnerable and abandoned in an unsafe situation, despite being a long-time GEICO customer who expected reliable roadside assistance.

I am requesting that GEICO take responsibility for this experience, investigate why its roadside assistance service was unavailable, and provide a reasonable financial resolution, including reimbursement consideration for my towing and tire replacement expenses. I will never be able to recover the stress and fear I experienced that night, but I expect GEICO to acknowledge this failure and take meaningful steps to resolve my complaint. After many years as a customer, this experience has seriously undermined my trust in GEICO. I look forward to a prompt and satisfactory response.

You find out who's got your back just when you need them most. Geico has faithfully accepted my money each month for 6 + years on sometimes as many as 8 cars at a time. My daughter was able to pay off her car early and due to monthly finances she needed to have liability only insurance. 3 weeks later her car was smashed in a parking lot, thankfully she wasn't inside. The driver left without any information, the police did track him down from video footage but he was of course uninsured.

I reported to Geico and wouldn't you know it, they won't even help me navigate the legal system to get her car repaired. I paid and have had zero claims, and can't even get help!! Uninsured motorist insurance is all of 4$ per car and not one agent contacted me to say hey maybe you should have this coverage because hit and run damage happens a lot, not a single person called to ask how she's doing or if we needed anything. So pay and pay and pay some more and Geico will happily take your money and other than your receipt you won't get much else from them.

Jacked up every aspect of premiums when I bought a new car, offered 8,000 a year in premiums for a new Chevy Bolt (3,950) every six months. When I protested, the premium was lowered to 6,400 per year (3200 every six months) after I agreed to 1,000 rather than 500 deductible. I shopped around and found Allstate for literally half the price: 1600 per six months at 500 deductible. Some of the limits are lower for bodily injury and so forth, but the overall policy is comparable if not better to Geico's. I suspect they only did this as I was transferring insurance to a new vehicle and they thought I wouldn't want the hassle of tracking down new insurance.

I have been with GEICO for over 2 years and had them before also. This is the first time I’ve ever had a problem with them. My rating is because this one incident is enough for me to realize that GEICO is not on your side. My son had a deer run into his car in early September. I put a claim in, and Richard ** in Lynchburg Virginia, came out and said the car was a total loss.

To make a long story short, my leasing company has been trying to contact them for weeks about a settlement for the car. Emailing every single day and they have not responded. In the meantime, GEICO has picked up the car and has not settled a payment with the finance company. This leaves me still paying a car payment and still paying car insurance on a car I do not have. I contacted GEICO online and spoke with a woman, and bless her heart, I could tell by her very short answers she was not interested in bringing the good customer service to a loyal customer. There was no offer to give any answers as to what is going on whatsoever.

Even lied and said they have been in contact with the finance company, and I have proof through email threads that have Richard’s email and the salvage adjuster's email on there as well. The lady told me she would email once she knew something; it has been 4 days now, and I’ve heard nothing. I have sent messages to Shelby **, and she has not responded to any of them. How unprofessional of a very big, well-known company to go MIA. They have pretty much claimed it totaled and then stole it. I’m not sure what they think they are gaining out of this.

As soon as this is over, we will be going with another company and will never come back to GEICO. I’d rather pay top rates to a good, professional, HONEST, company, with real HONEST people instead of people at GEICO. You pay these people a lot of money to help you, and they take advantage of you instead. Not quite sure how scammers sleep with themselves at night. I guess I should have read reviews before ever signing up with you all.

I paid over $2000 to GEICO for 1 1/2 years. I "thought" I had full insurance coverage. WRONG!!! My car didn't have collision coverage. If I had an accident I would've been without a vehicle. It amazes me that a insurance company did nothing to warn me that I wasn't covered fully. That was the whole reason I got full coverage. Because I couldn't afford another car if mine got wrecked. So y'all need to get with your agent and find out exactly how much you are covered. This company is a scam. They took money, from a 72 year old, living on SS check for almost 2 years. But they didn't cover my only car? I'm so mad at that. I went with Farmers Insurance. They gave me a cheaper price and my car is fully covered. Don't buy GEICO insurance please, shop around and make sure the agent explains everything. Good Luck!

In my opinion, GEICO is a good insurance company when it comes to affordability, Towing Service, Total Loss Dept. I'll break down their customer service by department, Total Loss Department (5/5), They processed the paperwork for the valuation of the car, forwarded whatever documents they had over to the Lien Holder for the GAP Claim, they even contacted other departments to get things sorted while on the call, they also answered all my questions and concerns without giving me the run-around and just forwarding me to another department. Special thanks to Keith ** who provided me with a "Loss of Cause" report to help with the GAP Claim and checked my GEICO collision claim for any additional requirements or forms to make sure everything was good on our end. These other departments "0/5" (Liability, Claims Adjuster, Auto Damage Adjuster).

Allow me to elaborate. A family member of mine was in a very traumatic car accident that led to the total loss of their vehicle and I was helping them with every step of the claims process. The Claims adjuster (0/5) was impossible to reach on her phone for weeks, went on vacation, came back, and still impossible to reach after she returned from her vacation. The Auto damage adjuster (0/5), apparently was assigned the case while on vacation. Because of this, the process to get the car picked up from the towing location and evaluated to determine if it was a Total Loss was delayed. It also brought confusion to the rental car process a lot.

The Case was assigned to another auto damage adjuster, who eventually had the car picked up and taken for inspection after it sat for over a week while GEICO argued with the towing company about whether they have customer approval to pick up the car without actually contacting the customer. The towing company contacted us about what GEICO needed from them to pick up the car.

Next up, Liability department (0/5), called to ask a simple question, "Do you have a copy of the Police/Accident Report on file?" They just forwarded me to the Claims department. Claims Department (0/5), again failed to be of any use, forwarded me to Total Loss Department. This was after I was forward to Liability department from the Auto damage adjuster who claimed that the "Liability" department can get me that report or information. I guess the literal definition of the word applies to this department, they are a "liability" incapable of doing anything beneficial for a customer.

To sum it all up, with exception to the Total Loss Department (5/5), GEICO's customer service departments all suck (0/5)! In a stressful period of time after an accident, when you need information, clarity, and effective communication that's when GEICO Customer Service fails you the most. People deserve better than to keep getting the run-around when trying to move on with their lives and continue to work, travel, etc. Do better!

After 15 years of being a loyal GEICO customer, I am extremely disappointed and discouraged by the way my recent accident claim was handled. GEICO determined that I was at fault without what I believe was a proper or thorough investigation. I was asked to provide photos of my vehicle from all angles, which I did. My car had an old, pre-existing dent that was completely unrelated to this accident, and I clearly explained that. Despite my explanation, GEICO apparently used this unrelated damage as part of the basis for determining that I was at fault.

After 15 years of paying for coverage and trusting GEICO to be there when I needed them, I expected my claim to be handled fairly and objectively. Instead, I felt that my explanation and the actual circumstances were not properly considered. The moment I became aware of the decision, I canceled my insurance policy. After 15 years of loyalty, I immediately decided that I could no longer trust GEICO with my coverage. This experience has completely changed my view of the company. I cannot recommend GEICO to anyone looking for auto insurance, and I will never purchase insurance from GEICO again. Customers deserve to feel that their insurance company will listen, investigate claims fairly, and consider all the facts before making an important decision. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with GEICO.

No collision and paying over 250 per month. Shop somewhere else.

I am very disappointed because I haven't had this policy long and they cancelled my policy 9-16-26 with no phone call, no email, and wrong mailing address (which I put the correct mailing address). I learned of this 9-20-26, so I did call and inquire about them cancelling me without notice. I was then told that all I had to do was send in a copy of my license, registration, proof of previous insurance and residence. Once I did what was asked of me I followed up to make sure that they received the needed information only to be told that they couldn't activate my insurance. When I asked how did they contact me they said through mail, which was not my accurate address. Now I don't have any insurance and have to figure out transportation to get back and forth to work and transportation for my children until I get paid again to get auto insurance unfortunately.

I live in Las Vegas, NV, and a 72 year old lady couldn’t drive straight and bumped my 2026 Nissan Sentra, on the rear passenger side and left a dent and big scratch. She was insured by Geico and Geico is refusing to take liability for it. Our insurance company, Progressive, who we pay $400 a month for insurance, did not fight for us. The photos attached are a picture of my dented car and her car…

If you had asked me in July, I probably would have given GEICO 5 stars. As of today, I would give them between 0 and 2 stars because of how poorly my policy issue has been handled since the beginning of August. In August, I added my son to our auto insurance policy. Initially, I was told our premium would increase to approximately $500–$600 per month, so I was prepared to cancel and switch companies. When I called back to cancel, I spoke with an underwriter who reviewed the policy and was able to get the premium down to approximately $256 per month. However, the change would not process correctly, so he submitted a ticket to have the issue fixed. I waited about a week and called back because nothing had changed. That representative submitted another ticket and told me to wait another week.

When I called again, another representative completely redid the policy and was able to get the premium to approximately $250 per month, totaling $1,502.96 for the six-month policy period. Once again, however, the system would not allow the change to fully process, so she submitted two additional tickets. I waited several more weeks and eventually called again and requested a supervisor. I was told a supervisor would call me within one hour. I never received a call, although a note was placed on my account stating that someone had called me. They did not. I called again and was told a supervisor was actively working on the issue and would call me sometime between then and the following day. Once again, I received no call.

Throughout this entire process, I have received different information from different representatives. I have been told not to worry about the bill because payment would be postponed, that the August payment would be forgiven, that I would not have to pay that portion, that IT was working on the problem and would email me, and that I should simply continue “saving” my monthly payments so that once the issue was corrected I could pay the rate I was originally promised.

Being repeatedly told to “just save” my monthly payments is extremely frustrating. Like many families, we live paycheck to paycheck, and I currently have to work two jobs to help support my family and keep up with our expenses. It is not as simple as setting aside hundreds of dollars indefinitely while GEICO takes weeks or months to correct a problem on its end. I budget our money around the amount GEICO told me my policy would cost, and I should be able to rely on the amounts and information given to me by multiple GEICO representatives. This has now been going on since the first week of August. It is approximately a month and a half later, and my policy still has not been corrected.

I have been a loyal GEICO customer for more than four years, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I have spent weeks calling, waiting, being told tickets have been submitted, being promised callbacks that never happen, and receiving reassurance that the issue will be corrected without actually seeing a resolution.

At this point, I am seriously considering leaving GEICO and not returning. This has been one of the worst customer-service experiences I have ever had with any company. I am simply asking GEICO to honor the premium that its representatives repeatedly quoted and documented, correct the policy and billing, and provide a clear written explanation of what I actually owe rather than continuing to make me call back week after week.

The lady I spoke with was very nice. But the fact that this insurance does not even investigate or look into anything just automatically takes fault is horrible. I have had two different insurance companies in the past and they had great service they were just pricey. It is a shame I am stuck with this one....

For a company that offers so much, they do soo little. They also misinform you about policies and tell you the wrong information. They then act like you made an educated choice when they don't cover you. DISGRACEFUL!!!!. Don't even get me started on their lazy Agents, god we get it working insurance claims sucks, but you could try not to sound so defeated on the phone. My parent is the one that nearly died and you ** sound like someone shot your dog. Try putting an effort in and then maybe you would earn a 5 star review. Top tier insurance company my behind.

Shame on you, Geico!!! Due to one of your customer's negligence, I am out of a vehicle. I cannot go to work, pick up my grandchildren, do household shopping or any activities of daily living. I (and 2 other people) were rear-ended on Tuesday evening by your customer. Our vehicles are totaled and cannot be fixed. I was given a rental, but you're only paying for FIVE DAYS, and your rep told me to go through my insurance due to your customer having a limit on their coverage to get my car fixed. You know you are wrong for that. None of us that were hit would be in this situation if it wasn't for your customer's negligence.

Geico, don't even think about them. They will always try and reel you in with a low offer of insurance, but when it's time to make a claim, you'll get your rates jacked up even if it's not your fault, but more importatly you are paying them to represent you, not the other claiment. Buyers beware, shop around and save yourself the headacne of dealing with them when it comes time to make a claim for which is the reason you get insurance for coverage. Not to be treated like just another number on their income coming into them.

My experience with GEICO's total loss valuation process was disappointing. After a GEICO policyholder totaled my vehicle, a top-of-the-line Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 with only 16,000 miles and in pristine condition, I felt the settlement offer did not adequately reflect the fair market value of my car. The adjuster relied on comparable vehicles that were generally priced below what I believe was appropriate for a vehicle of similar condition, mileage, and specifications. I provided four higher-value comparable vehicles that I believed were more representative of my car and supported an increase of approximately $5,000 in the valuation. Although the information was reviewed by a higher-level representative, the settlement offer remained unchanged with no explanation. Equally frustrating was the customer service experience. They are not helpful at all.

In summary, don't trust Geico to pay a fair price when their customer hits you and they total your car. The customer service is poor and no one appears to want to help or understand the situation. Be prepared to be frustrated, disappointed and underpaid. I did not feel that my concerns were fully considered, and it was difficult to find someone willing to engage in a meaningful discussion regarding the valuation methodology. As a result, I was left feeling disappointed and completely unsatisfied with both the process and the outcome. I was previously a GEICO policyholder, but this experience has convinced me that I will not consider the company for my future insurance needs.
