We had a small fenderbender with my BMW x3, Geico sent us to a none BMW collision center. They said that there recommend collision center has a 1-year warranty and they give me a life time warranty on the repairs as long as I own the vehicle. Several months latter the fender moldings on both sides were turning gray and white color. Looked like China parts.

I went to the collision center and they said BMW doesn't warranty those parts. I called Geico, they sent me receipts and said, "Go to the dealership with those receipts" and I took the day off and went after a hour video and trying to sell me $3500 of unnecessary work, that I denied. They said exactly what the collision center said. If it was a BMW collision center they might have replace thier own parts? Maybe, but Geico said they don't warranty the parts. What a complete shame. Now I will order a set from eBay and install them myself. Couldn't no worse then what I have now. I'm not renewing my policy with them since they really don't warranty nothing anyway.

I thought everything was pretty standard after we got in a wreck. But the claims process took a while. Tried to cancel the insurance but had to wait. Agent (incorrectly) said we would not be charged the next month but we did get charged. I dropped the insurance and tried to get a refund since we insured it a month after the wreck but only could call the customer service department and they obviously refused. Seems like an easy enough fix for so many years of loyalty but they were very rude.

Geico sent my 80 year old mom a letter, claiming my niece, who lives over 2,000 miles away, and my son (but not my daughter), live with her and if she (meaning my brother and I) didn't prove that they lived elsewhere and had car insurance, they would add both of them to her account. I don't know where GEICO got their data from, my son never used that address, and his DL, Passport and their voter info all show my home address. Similar with my niece. It is crazy we have to gather documents and are asked to upload them to their website so she doesn't get charged.

I contacted GEICO as a 10+ year customer with home insurance, multiple vehicles, military/veteran status, and no accidents or tickets. The chat began around 12:30 p.m.; by 1:09 p.m. I was still waiting for a supervisor after working with Lora R. Supervisor Samantha P. joined at 1:31 p.m., and the issue was still ongoing after 2:20 p.m.

The experience showed poor training and unclear customer-service handling. Lora R.’s explanation of rate increases made it sound like clean-record customers are penalized for other GEICO customers’ claims. Samantha P. was dismissive and required repeated follow-up for the exact monthly payment, effective date, and confirmation that no monitoring/DriveEasy program was added. The chat transcript should be used for training on clear billing communication, job limitations, and how to treat long-term customers. This was an unfortunate example of how GEICO can lose loyal customers.

I get that I live in state where greed is normal but to keep jacking my payments up is a disgrace. I am in late 60's, clean record, car is 8 and paid off, travel less than 200 miles per month. My rates just hit $1800 for a 6 month policy. Been a loyal customer for 10 years. They suggested that I spend $20 and take a driver safety course and then over a three year period they could discount a few measly bucks. What a bunch of crap. Happy to say I found a much cheaper company with much better coverage. If you have Geico, check your payments!!!

My mom was in an accident which was not her fault. The driver of the other vehicle has GEICO. GEICO was awful with use of a rental vehicle. The same week of the wreck her mother passed away. The adjuster only extended the car rental by one or two days which was not giving her enough time to take care of the affairs and purchase a vehicle. She needed another 2 weeks but was continued to be denied. We even offered the death certificate for proof. It amazes me there were no willingness to work with her and being bullied where she felt like she had no choice but to buy a vehicle quick so she can settle up and have a vehicle to drive. The money that was given at the beginning was for pain and suffering which needs to be reevaluated due to the stress she was put thru. I will never recommend GEICO to anyone. Thank you!

Geico did approve the glass claim, Safelite would not come out, moved to Glass Pro per Geico recommendation, Glass pro says it is a valid claim, Geico used AI system to review it this time and now that system says glass chips/small breaks are "wear and tear", so it closes the claim and Geico will not process the claim, adjuster Philip will not call me, has not returned 4 calls since 6/8, horrible service, been with them since 1987, house, rv, and 4 vehicles, never a fault accident claim filed, will switch companies in November, avoid Geico, they have zero respect for veterans also

    Reviewed June 23, 2026

The customer service, professionalism, timeliness, and attention to detail is nonexistent. My car was stolen in mid-April and it is now June 23 and I’m still dealing with my claim. The communication with everyone in this company was initiated by me, no adjuster or employee called me first. Throughout the time of the claim I have only have spoken to my assigned adjuster Aden ** twice. Every attempt to talk to him goes unanswered, whether by phone, voicemail, or in app messages. Every time I would call trying to get an update on my claim, a different agent would get me transferred to Aden who would never answer. After dozens of phone calls trying to get an answer, I was finally contacted to Michelle who was able to give me the Market Valuation for my vehicle to redeem my car a total loss.

Apart of the valuation, I was told that part of the payout would need to be paid out from a previous claim from 2023 for Hail damage and that money would be part of the value of my car. I received the partial payout for my vehicle via ACH deposit for the total loss and I contacted the Hail Damage team for the check. They sent me a check issued to me and Kia Finance who had the lien. I then provided Kia with the check and insurance appraisal documents for them to endorse the check but Kia Finance is refusing to sign the check because they want more documentation. I have been trying to reach out to the adjuster Tami who was assigned to the Hail Damage claim but instead she is unprofessional sending me a message saying, “I don't know what I can do, but I will ask a supervisor”. That response was on June 11 and I have not received any follow up.

I messaged her again on June 17 asking for a follow up and have not received any response. Talking to multiple agents throughout different departments days on end, I can say there is no communication between employees and customers. No one seems to know anything and only one person can do a task. The sheer number of times I was told I had to speak to Aden is ridiculous, like I’m calling in because it’s been 3 weeks since any communication. I really feel like I have done more work than any employee I spoke to because I have been the one to get the ball rolling. Not Aden nor any employee I have talked to. I have spent the last two months stressing and calling trying to get answers but none of these employees care or want to answer the phone. I was in a rental car for five weeks until I was paid out and able to get another car.

Geico only paid for 3 weeks and then refused to pay for the remainder even though my rental coverage did not reach $1,500. Additionally, Aden didn’t do his job in ensuring that the rental authorization was provided to Enterprise. When the claim first happened, Aden told me I have 10 days to upload the required documents to the app, in which I did. According to him, once I did the rental would be good until I was paid out. This man never extended my rental, instead I was contacted by Enterprise for payment and had to put my credit card on file until was able to contact Geico and get a rental authorization. It took multiple agents before I found one to assist in getting an extension. Although Geico dropped the ball and working on my claim like they should have, I was the one having to pay out of pocket.

Weeks without any communication is unacceptable, especially when I’m being told that I can’t get new car until I’m paid out and the investigation is over. For this claim, I am losing out on $4.8k because the check can’t be endorsed and Geico is no help in getting this resolved. Additionally, I have been receiving mail from a tow yard where the vehicle was taken after found. If it wasn’t for me contacting and uploading the two documents to show the invoice and data I received, Geico would have never known where the vehicle was. I was also told by Geico when I provided them that information about where the Kia was, that would be contacting me to get any belongings from the vehicle. It has been like 3 weeks with no communication.

I am sure I’m missing things because the list of why I canceled my policy last week with Geico includes other things. I’m just over a company who gives me the runarounds and doesn’t know how to communicate. They are so quick to take your money for payments but when something happens and you need to complete a claim, the service is horrible. I wouldn’t recommend Geico to anyone.

My experience with GEICO was awful, unprofessional and the agent, Scott P was extremely difficult to work. His goal was to save the company money. That's it. There was no concern for the customer and no professional accountability towards the auto body shop that I chose. A basically minor repair turned into me being without my car for 22 days. My contact with customer service agents at Geico was very good. The adjuster never went out to look at my car and then argued everything. He wanted to order by the shop to put in cheap parts when my car had all original Toyota parts and that's what I expected in return. My car was sitting there ready for 5 days and I couldn't pick it up because of the back and forth over money.

At one point Scott asked me to just pay the difference. There's no way I was paying for the difference when it was there and short that was at fault. Geico is not my insurance company and would never be. I don't know how much money people save by using them but it is so not worth it. In the span of 3 days I spent close to 6 hours on the phone. There is no excuse for such an very poor interaction with them. The stress it caused me was absolutely ridiculous. Got to do not care how inconvenienced I was. They should be the poster child for bad business. So relieved this is over.

GEICO is good until you actually need something. I received a letter in the mail stating that GEICO did not report my updated insurance & I'd have to pay a $500 file including a suspension on my car registration. When I tried to call, the operator was sooo useless & couldn’t get me over to anyone because it didn’t understand what I was trying to say. When I REPEATEDLY asked for customer service, they still didn’t allow me to get over, even though I explained my situation 5 times.

When I messaged customer service to call me, Jennifer said they don’t make outbound calls … That’s ridiculous. Also the app kicked me out of the chat immediately when leaving the app to send an email Jennifer requested. I had to get reconnected with another rep and start from scratch. Since GEICO ONLY allows things done online, this process took so long and was honestly more painful than I ever could imagine. This is just another business who’s making millions of dollars a day but can’t provide a helpful experience to their paying customers.

All I was told by a representative was that they could decrease my monthly payment of now $260 for a car over ten years old to $260 and that's it. Geico has just become a name now. I say for anyone out there State Farm does the same thing as geico and when needing to talk to someone for claim purposes I am able to talk to a person. I'm switching today. I call and the cancellation notification on my account can't be removed, only noted. This looks horrible on my policy and the mistake was GEICO and not myself. This is a very good reason to leave now before any other loopholes to their advantage wreck my record with.
