I have not gotten a response about my car. People is not answering the phones, when I need a direct answer about my car I’m still in a rental and have yet gotten a response and I suppose to return the car. I talked to 14 different people and they sending me to the wrong place.

My main complaint is that I pay very high (over $400.00 per month) insurance fees for my daughter and I to drive insured cars. I called Geico to get a copy of my insurance card that shows both of our names, as we are both insured. 15 minutes later they still can't send me this and tell me they are not allowed to? GEICO NEEDS TO DO SO MUCH BETTER! Seriously, I wonder what exactly I am paying for as it is certainly not for legally binding accurate documentation! Buyer Beware!

Experience after experience with GEICO. This has to be the worst Insurance company in the history of insurance. I have swore off GEICO back in the early 90's. Every five years or so I end up having to do business with them for various reasons and every time it turns out horrible. My suggestion is even if you have to pay a few dollars more at another company it would be well worth it. In fact would pay thousands elsewhere before I ever use them again.

They lie with the policies because they do not comply with what they say, they take a long time to resolve the claims, they are very slow in all aspects, and it is my personal turn to do their work and the payments are very high and they do not do their job well, those of the company of Geico should better train their employees so that they can provide a better service. Because I pay for a service and in the end I have to do his job, it is unfair that what I have had very bad experience.

Totally frustrating the Geico service, I would not recommend it and decided to change my insurer for mistreatment and bad service. I have 2 months with my total loss case. MONEY LOSS WITH THEM.

I have had a horrible experience with an auto claim. The day after the accident, I tried to submit my photos via the mobile app and the website. Both just took me to a dead end. So I called and was told to send my photos by e-mail to geico@geicoclaims.com, so I did that on 4/7/26. But I kept getting e-mails and texts, demanding my photos. Three times I have called to the claims department. I was told that yes, the photos were received and were sent to the claims adjuster. Then a week ago, I got the name of a claims adjuster. After several days, that adjuster got in touch with me by text. Only to request photos!! The adjuster has not called me. It is now 4/27/26 and my claim has not progressed.

No accidents or tickets in over a decade. My car is 11 years old!!! Insurance went up. It’s beyond insane! Maybe start fighting fraud and go after the fraudsters, and lower your insurance for ethical working people who do not cost you money!!!

My car was the middle car in an accident and after I took it into the approved shop, my claim representative was never available to call me. I tried for two days to find out what was going on and 5 days later, I got a text saying they were going to total it, along with a report showing the lowest priced cars they could find, and giving me a low ball offer for my car. I immediately found several cars exactly like mine that were several thousand dollars higher than what they offered. No one called me back for two day after I left many messages. It was horrible service in a time when I needed my insurance company to communicate and be fair and ethical, especially after all the years of paying them. Do not use GEICO, they will not support fairly after a claim.

I've had the worst experience with Geico. I purchased my policy online and was good for six months. Now comes the renewal and my paperless policy was changed to paper because the "system" sent me an email and it bounced back. Because of this I was quoted a higher rate. Upon calling the agent was able to send me an email to the same address that the "system" couldn't. Ended up paying the policy in full but now I'm get emails and text saying I owe an additional $10.
I've called several time asking for a supervisor to call or even tech support as it does not make sense that my account was switched to allow for more money to be charged to me. Now my daughter was hit by a hit and run and it is yet another nightmare where she has done everything on the app as instructed and still things are not being updated. She's supposed to be taking her car in tomorrow and picking up rent-a-car but I just had to call and make the appointment even though everything was completed on the app. This has been the worse experience ever! They should be fined for putting false advertisement on TV.

I was lead to believe that I bought full coverage insurance with GEICO insurance and I believe that part of my coverage was removed because of my age. I didn’t have the policy long before I had an accident. Now they are saying the I’m not fully covered to keep from paying the claim.

I had a auto claim with Geico recently. The easiest part about the claim was filing it. After that everything went downhill. I found the Geico staff with my claims adjuster leading the way to be clueless and void of any customer service skills. The level of confusion was disappointing. It was overall a poor experience. As a result I will be moving to fire them as my auto and home insurer.

GEICO is charging me over 2000 a year and the only thing I’ve hit in over 10 years is a little pole. They say it’s my zip code. I am a senior and their prices are no longer acceptable. I am searching for a new insurance company.

Terrible experience, way overpriced and I hope people read this review and know you can get better insurance. I left the country for about 4 months, called to cancel my insurance, said everything will be fine just turn in your license tags for the motorcycle. Did all they asked, charged me for a month, after I left, sent me in to collections. Please, we the people hold the power, don’t give them your money and they will fade away. They are lairs!

I have been a customer of GEICO at least 10 years plus. This is hands down a horrible insurance company. They have no customer appreciation. No benefit to being a longtime customer and no customer loyalty. Their prices are amongst the most expensive. I plan to end my business with them ASAP.

Geico dropped me after 6 years because of a consumer report that states I have a 22 yrs old daughter and trying to force her on my policy to change my rates! This adult child doesn’t live with me and has her own motor vehicle!

My vehicle was in the shop two weeks for a fender bender due to Geico being unreachable to resolve the additional funds needed to repair the vehicle. Multiple calls by myself and the bump shop to try to resolve the issue and it went unresolved. The adjustor never calls back, the customer service department can only help on a limited bases due to being lower level employees. Worst claims and service department I have every dealt with- I will not be renewing with them going forward.

In the state of NC, even if you just paid your policy 8 days ago, you would think that if you paid $300 for your monthly payment that you would at least get back the majority of your money. NO, republicans made it so the companies keep your money, and you would only get back $65 in this scenario. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND GEICO OR MOVING TO NORTH CAROLINA.

I've used them for 12 years and my premium kept going up, so I did a online quote which was $1000 dollars different than my current policy, called and I was told that it's offered to new customers, asked if I could cancel active policy and was told yes but i couldn't get GEICO insurance for 6 months, they said if I saw cheaper insurance go for it..

Hiked the rate significantly (+50%). Then I logged into the portal and found out that they terminated my homeowner's insurance — WITHOUT notifying me — because of an issue with autopay. Meanwhile, the auto insurance autopay was working fine. This was some technical issue on their side that caused the problem. I got ZERO email notifications about it. Nothing showed up in the user portal to suggest there was an account issue. I was without homeowner's insurance for months without even knowing it — with no warning, nothing amiss in the portal, no email notification. Then when trying to resolve the issue, Geico's phone numbers on their customer contact portal were not properly labeled. Data and information were siloed: a rep trying to help me couldn't access any information about what had happened with my policy to help troubleshoot.

Geico is one of the worst Insurance! They allow fraud.. meaning if a person is wrong in suing you they allow it! Allstate or USAA insurance is better.. They poorly represent you! High rates! Shame on you! Worst experience.

I had GEICO insurance for years, but the prices kept jumping higher and higher every couple of months. I decided to change insurance companies because I got a better rate per a month. I canceled my policy with GEICO back in January 4th 2026 and they hit my credit April 9th 2026 claiming that I owed them $176.** for several late payments until now. Remind you I haven’t had insurance with them since. I do not recommend this company.

I was a GEICO customer for over 14 years. They kept raising my rates. Never had an accident or filed a claim, put my daughter on the policy and it shot through the roof. I canceled my policy and they sent me a bill for 128.00. I refuse to pay and they turned it into collection. Needless I informed them I canceled but still want money, they straight up suck. Don't get a rock chip or add a underage driver cause they will bend you over and stick it right up your behind.

A TRUE BAIT and SwITCH. Was giving a monthly payment at $320a mo. 3 days later they changed it to 950 a month. Cancel Insurance before the 30 days to go back to where we were at and now hitting us with $600 telling us they’re putting us in collections. Have been arguing with them for months. Do not use. This was also done through a dealership and they’re not holding their guy responsible..

I discovered they could not service my policy because their computers are broken indefinitely in January, when I was on my way to purchase a new vehicle. After speaking to 3 people who said they could not help me, I got a 4th person that got a manual binder on the vehicle. I thought this would be something fixed within days, but today is April 4 and their computers are still down. (So they say). I have sold two vehicles and cancelled my GEICO policy since March, and they can not tell me when I will get a refund or how much it will be. I asked for a simple letter that documented the 3 dates of auto sales and policy cancellation. To have documentation that they were informed.
They assured me they had made notes on my file and that when the computers are working again, they will process it. But they agreed to send a letter. Well, it came, with my name and policy number, the name of Nicolette ** as the writer of the message but a totally blank content of the letter. More hours on the phone, I guess to try to get documentation to protect myself. They owe me thousands, but tell me to call back in 48 hours to see if the computers are fixed. But they have been down since January!!! At least I switched companies.

GEICO provides no way to contact them by email. They make it difficult to ask a question or register a complaint. My complaint - which I wanted to convey to them but they provide no email address - is that they make me ask for insurance cards rather than just send me my cards. I pay a monstrous amount of money every six months, and then I still have to request cards. Obviously I need proof of insurance. Geico, just send me the cards when I pay.

I am a GEICO customer, I did hit a car that was parked in a parking space. I hit it with my right bumper on their left fender. I hit the fender. I stopped and I went backwards. The honest person that I am I went in to the building, spoke to the security guard and gave the security guard my name and number so he can give it to the person to call me. She called me that night.
I gave her our insurance information and about a week or so later on the actual GEICO app. It shows that the customer claimed more damage than what was originally done and GEICO had it on their app along with the customer’s information the kind of car that was hit along with the additional magic damage. I hit the left fender, and apparently my magic car caused damage all the way to the back door. So not only did the customer commit fraud according to GEICO because it’s on the app (see photo). The Geico insurance company told me that they don’t see that submission yet I can see it with my own two eyes.
I sent the picture of the submission to GEICO customer service because 2 to 3 people told me that they weren’t seeing what I was seeing. So basically, I sent proof of the claim, the fraudulent claim. I’m not too sure if GEICO protects it customers or if it protects itself and the other person’s submission to get money that isn’t owed to them and GEICO does nothing to fight for you.

Worst insurance, they are not going to cover your car’s original parts. I am paying them for my Mercedes Benz (original not after market) and my car had windshield broken and they refused to pay for original Mercedes Benz glass they told me, they can just pay if I go with aftermarket, what’s the point if I am paying for original Mercedes then how would anyone know that GEICO is not going to pay for original. And said it's written in the 21 pages of contract which even they were unable to sent on email because of the length. I am going to hire lawyer against them because geico thinks people are stupid.. Will not take any action. Be alert everyone whenever you buy any insurance.

GEICO has been over-charging me for 8 years. I now pay less than 30% of what GEICO charged me, saving $1000 a year in auto insurance.
