I started my policy with Geico on 11/05/21 (Switched from USAA , big mistake). Departed for vacation on 11/05/21 to Louisiana arrived the same day. 11/06/21 collided with a deer on a Texas road, filed claim via the app on 11/07. Waited to be contacted by an agent, waited until 11/9 after not receiving contact and contacted customer service. Advised that within 20 days of starting policy and having a incident I have to undergo a investigation. Completed a recorded statement and I transferred to the voicemail of the assigned investigator, left message with contact info.
Contacted by investigator on 11/11, completed a recorded statement on incident, then he proceeds to request irrelevant documents such as bank statements, telephone records and contact information for friends I visited on my trip to Louisiana. I proceeded to get a estimate for damages and uploaded it the Geico website. Contacted by investigator on 11/12 after I left a voicemail inquiring about status of investigation, requested the documents again. I informed him that I would not provide any documents irrelevant to the incident. He stated that he would inform my claims adjuster assigned to my claim that I was as refusing to cooperate with the investigation. I informed him I have provided everything that was relevant to complete his investigation.
I attempted to contact my claims adjuster several times, but after waiting on hold for over 45 mins I disconnected the calls. I attempted to reach claims adjuster via secure message on 11/17 requesting to schedule a inspection, at this point I’m prepared to pay for my damages out of pocket since my vehicle has been damaged for over two weeks and getting no response. I received this reply:
"Thank you for your Internet inquiry message. At this time there is a pending coverage concern that must be cleared before we are able to set up any inspection on your vehicle. We need to verify the date of loss of your accident before we are able to clear this coverage concern. If you need to contact me or have any questions, please respond to this email. You can also attach and send me any documents in regards to your claim. You may also view your claim at geico.com or the GEICO Mobile App.
Sincerely,Serena **"
I replied and asked what documentation do they require to move this process forward, or if I could be assigned a different investigator. Received this reply.

Exactly the same response without even a edit. So it is now 11/24, vehicle has no dim headlights, power steering, and all dashboard warning lights are on and I commute over an hour to work everyday. Waiting on a rental and scheduled repair. So, my advice is do not concentrate on cheaper rates but focus on the process after the incident. At this point I just want the inspection completed so that the damage is documented, pay for my own repairs, restore my vehicle to original condition and return to USAA coverage and settle this matter in court for reimbursement of damage repair.

They do NOT return calls! They urge you to deal with their app, which is not effective for claims against a Geico insured, or to go to Geico.com which is also not effective. In other words, it is impossible for a claimant to reach a Geico claims adjuster. My accident was a simple rear-ender 9 days ago and I've yet to speak to the claims rep. I want to get my car fixed NOW. My insurer, which I'll not name, was very easy to call, and quite helpful. The lowest price is not necessarily the best insurance. My friend, a retired Judge, had the same experience with Geico.

Geico customer service is not as good as it once was. They are forcing customers to use their app for roadside service - well what if you don't have a smartphone, or if you are a senior? The wait times of 40 minutes or more are intolerable. Even when they do call back, there is still a wait time of a few more minutes before a rep comes on the line. I tried giving feedback about how difficult they make things for non-smartphone users and I felt like it fell on deaf ears. My suggestion was dismissed, instead of listened to as a valid concern. On top of that, Geico punishes customers for loyalty. They increase insurance rates rather than drop them for long-term customers. I am shopping around now to get the best deal because Geico is super expensive compared to other auto insurance companies.
I have a good driving record and do not see the benefit. I also do not use my car often, but I still have a pretty high premium. It doesn't make sense. Reward safe drivers and customer loyalty. Listen to your customer concerns and suggestions to make your service competitive - rather than dismissing it and telling me "that's the way it is now." I don't want to hear that. Not every cell phone customer is going to choose a smartphone. And as a woman, I want to know that if my car breakdown at any time of the day or night, I can connect with help - a human voice - sooner rather than later. Think about ALL your customers - including the outliers. This will make your business stand out.

Good luck if you ever need to file a claim. The website to file has been down for days so you are forced to listen to bizarre “music” that sounds like a screeching chicken for 4 hours. You finally give up and decide to just drive your car with the bumper hanging by a thread. So you put duct tape on it rather than try to get in touch with a real live Geico rep. I guess they pay that little lizard so much money it leaves none for customer service reps. I want to squash the little ** geico.

I was in an accident back in June 2021. I was struck by a driver flying into my neighborhood.. Long story short, I spoke with a claims adjuster by the name of Ashley **... after the ”investigation” was complete. She informed me that because of the driver's neglect they found the young lady to be 100% at fault instead of the 70% that we previously discussed and assured me that my premium would not increase... fast forward a few months later My premium has shot up! I called to discuss this issue with her and she stated since it’s been so long she has no recollection of what she told me and I remain also at fault. I am absolutely disgusted with her and Geico.. Y’all please find another company to give your money to. They also took a month to pay me out after my car was confirmed totaled because one person was on vacation for a few days.

Worst insurance company ever. I was hit by someone with Geico insurance. The original rep assigned to me, Joy **, did not give me a call for days after numerous voicemails, and not until I had to go to her supervisor, Jason. After finally getting my statement almost 2 whole weeks after the accident took place, Geico found me 50% liable, not sure how that is when your policyholder hit me, an unmoving car.
Instead of disagreeing and trying to dispute it, I just wanted my car fixed so I got an appointment with a collision shop to estimate the damage. The collision shop estimated the damages at $2,000, while the photos they submitted to Geico, Geico being the scammers that they are only estimated it at $1,040. I then spoke to someone at Geico, Brittini **, who was supposed to set up a car rental for me, as my car was going to be at least 5 days to get fixed. The appointment was supposed to be set, and of course when I arrived at the collision shop no rental appointment was made.
I was also told that Geico would cover the rental, but when they FINALLY got the rental car there Geico tells me that they also will only cover 50% of the rental, leaving me stranded and now having to pay additional money out of pocket that was not budgeted for. Two months after the accident my car is still not fixed, this company is nothing but problems. Trying to get a hold of anyone at this company is damn near impossible, good luck, you are better off going with another company or not having insurance at all.

On 6/5/2021 my Explorer was rear-ended by an Expedition failing to control his speed on the highway - a minute later a Neon who was also failing to control speed hit the Expedition in turn pushing him back into for a second hit. His insurance took forever to call us back and her insurance which is Geico (and mine also) has been extremely horrible to work with. Not only do you get to be on hold for 45 minutes each time you call - every single customer service person has been ill properly trained. Geico on the Neon's policy has stated that one - the neon states an orange truck hit the expedition and her, then took off.
There is not one single piece of evidence of anything orange being involved. They are also stating (and this is the exact wording) "At this time, we do not see any evidence that our insured pushed the Ford Expedition back into your client’s vehicle. The damages to the front of the Expedition fully support the Expedition rear-ending your client. The police report also makes no mention of a second impact. It is also not feasible that our small vehicle pushed the large Expedition forward into your client’s vehicle causing any actual damage.". Geico really needs to train their adjustors on force, kinetic energy, velocity and momentum - basic physics! They are also failing to see that the driver of the expedition and that myself and the person driving my Explorer have the same exact stories!
They are also failing to see that her air bags deployed causing her to not be able to see and causing a cut on her forehead or that she was more worried about her dog that was in the passenger seat. Geico stated the same in a letter to the insurance board...The police report also states that both the Expedition and Neon failed to control their speeds. Geico also needs to train their Liability Directors and Claims Managers how to properly handle a claims and an investigation. They may need to train them all how to lie the same instead of coming up with several excuses that make no sense.
To date we have received 4 emails by them stating they were going to take care of the claim and to date they have done nothing but be difficult to work with including extremely unprofessional with their responses. The real reason they denied the claim is the fact that a consumer complaint was made against them with the Texas Insurance Board. Beware if an insured by Geico is involved in an accident with you....they will legitimately make the process painstakingly hard and even more stressful if you are not at fault but the Geico party is.

The worst insurance company I have dealt with… A GEICO-insured driver hit my brand new 2021 Honda Passport and, after almost 3 weeks, I am still getting the run around from GEICO to get my car repaired. They recognize the accident was 100% their fault and yet, the process is still stagnant. I called numerous times (always getting an automated service that took me nowhere) until I had select to “buy a new policy” to finally get a live person. I finally got a supervisor on the line who stated that if they cannot make contact with their insurer and that there is a possibility they may refuse coverage to fix my car.
They also stated that it might take several weeks for this process. The supervisor suggested filing the claim with my insurance policy even though this was 100% the other driver’s fault. I advised him that the door of my car does not close properly and when it rains, my brand new 2021 Honda gets wet inside, but why would he care? He suggested taking the car indoors so it does not get wet. Oh OK, I guess I have to file for a building permit to build a structure for my car or I can go the less expensive route and to find an umbrella big enough to cover my entire car. They are leaving me no option but to file a report with the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance… Very frustrating in dealing with this company…

Wish I could give 0 stars! Had a hail storm in April that damaged my house. After filing a claim and getting approved, the roofer found additional damage and filed a supplemental claim. After several days of them hearing nothing from Geico, I tried reaching out and couldn't get anyone to help either. Finally, I found out that my field adjuster had been reassigned and a new one assigned to my claim. How do you reassign adjusters and not tell the client that has an existing claim? Further, as the newly assigned adjuster, how do you not reach out and explain that you're the new adjuster.
Long story short, it took 7 months to replace the roof because of their games. To top it off, a few days after that storm, another struck and damaged my truck. Now Geico is accusing me of lying and asking why I waited so long to file that claim and I explained it's because I spent the last 6 months handling the roof claim and didn't want to deal with my truck at the same time after seeing how unorganized Geico is. Now my auto claim is under investigation and the shop is just letting my truck sit until Geico approves the repairs. I CANNOT wait for my car to get repaired so that I can end my car and home insurance policies with Geico. THEY ARE TERRIBLE.

On 9/22/2021 I made a payment to GEICO for my auto policy with a direct debit from my checking account in the amount of 824.00. On 9/23/2021 I received an email confirming receipt of payment however the email stated I paid with a credit card ending in 5768 not my checking account. I called customer service to ask if this was correct and the representative stated he had never seen that before and cancelled the payment without doing any research as to whether it was my payment. Turns out it is reported that way because my bank works with a third party vendor who does their bill pay and that's how transactions flow through. The following day after speaking with my bank I realized that was in fact my payment. I called Geico again. Explained they made an error and wanted to know how to get my policy credited. They said the money will be sent back to my bank and I should contact them.
I contacted my bank and they indicated they had confirmed Geico received it. After 2 hours on the phone with a rep and supervisor they send the information to their finance department. Finance called me back, left me a voice mail and said it was sent back to my bank. I called the following day. Spoke with yet another rep to verify if it was sent back and when I could expect my bank to receive it and he said Geico never received it, and that my bank has it. My bank sent them the confirmation transmission record after yet another call. I called Geico to explain what they will be getting and spoke with another rep and his supervisor. In short I still have no idea when my premium is and my policy is up for cancellation and Geico will do nothing to ensure it doesn't get cancelled, even though their rep that I first contacted caused the problem. I don't have an additional 824.00 to send them right now,
Geico customer service is acceptable for simple issues and the representatives were friendly and professional and of course apologized for any inconvenience, which is nothing more than a condescending platitude. The biggest issue is not being able to speak with the original person or solution provider. all you can do is contact the generic customer service number, have the person read the notes, which are often inaccurate and then have to explain the whole thing over and over again. This is just extremely poor treatment of a customer who has numerous policies and if they just have one. Try contacting their corporate office sometime. These people will not be able to be contacted unless you hire a PI to find a phone number. They refer you to customer service,

We had to have the windshield replaced on our 2020 Acura MDX. Originally GEICO told me they would reimburse me the full cost, minus the deductible, to have the dealership replace the glass. When I submitted the invoice for reimbursement, they went back on what they originally said, and told me that they don't pay for the real Acura windshield, and instead I should have put knock-off brand glass on the car. They also wouldn't pay the full price of the dealer installation (even though they originally told me they would), and instead I should have gone to a third party installer, who isn't even certified to recalibrate the safety features.
If the camera is recalibrated by the people who Geico wanted me to have this work done by, and who aren't certified to do it, it would lower the safety level of the car and defeat the purpose of having all these safety features to begin with. Why does Geico want to make my family car less safe? Now, because they went back on what they originally said, and because they want to make my car less safe with off-brand glass and uncertified recalibration of safety features, I'm having to pay $1200 out of pocket for the windshield, instead of the $500 deductible they originally told me I'd have to pay. This is ridiculous and I will be looking elsewhere.

I called and told GEICO we were having the driver take a class so the points would be off his license. And if they would reconsider afterwards, the answer was a No because they only run a license check once a year and they already had done that. This accident could have killed me, my car was totaled, and this was Geico's response...to punish me by raising my rates and calling me a "high risk" to insure. Mind you, the dump truck driver that hit me was ticketed by the police for improper backing, I am in the middle of a lawsuit, I had to purchase a new car since mine was totaled, my lower back and neck were injured and I have had to take a couple of hours every day off of work due to countless doctor visits, chiropractor appointments, and physical therapy to try and get back to life as normal.
I am in pain all the time, and Geico just simply blames me and raises my rates. I couldn't be more disappointed with a company that touts itself as a company the supports the military and government employees in this country. I then called again and sat on hold for over 30 minutes this time before I got a text from the towing company that was assigned to me through the app. I then hung up and spoke directly to the towing company to inform them of the changes.
I must say Triton Towing was great to work with and I have no complaints about them or Eddie the driver. He was great. My problem was not being able to speak to a live agent during a stressful breakdown. I now feel the need to buy AAA so next time I'm stranded I'm not stressed and can actually speak to someone about my circumstances.
I've been with Geico for 3 years and this so far is the only complaint I have but yesterday with the way I felt and the frustration I was dealing with it made it worse realizing I didn't want to be in the same situation again and God forbid I be stranded somewhere more secluded. So Geico tried to get me on the line to do a conference call, apparently, but the lady at Geico said I put her on hold for extended period of time, which wasn't true at all.
When the lender asked to try to do the conference call the woman on the other end said she already spent the allotted time allowed trying to reach me and she had to hang up. The lender was told to call me and to tell me to call in. What a nightmare. Just give the lender what they need instead of making it such a hassle. The customer service rep was very RUDE to my mortgage processor. We are thinking of switching our business now.

You cannot contact a Geico rep in a timely manner, minimum of an hour on hold. Once you do start a conversation with one you soon find out that they lack even the most basic understanding of how insurance works. Things like at fault, third party claim, deductible are all well beyond them. I can say without a doubt that Geico is the absolute worst insurance company that I have ever dealt with.

I was informed by a rep that my car would be repaired in its entirety. I put my car in the shop for repair, and was informed by the auto repair shop that a part of my claim was denied. After speaking with the claims adjuster, a part of my claim was denied (I would have to pay two separate deductibles.) Geico did not honor what the rep in the beginning informed. The claims adjuster came with a story that he was informed of different information. In short, Geico is dishonorable, only about your monthly installments, deductibles. A waste of time and money. Rated 1 star, only because 0 is not a option. I recommend Nationwide, or State Farm to anyone.

The women I spoke to said she could see if I'm eligible for a discount. The women ran a soft credit check and returned to say I was not eligible. I asked her where she pulled my credit history and what was the determining factor. She could not tell me what they use and said, "Maybe it's due to the area you live or drive." Really! I told her this is not the case but sounds discriminating. My credit score is above average and have only ever had one accident in 35 yrs. I will be getting new car insurance at the end of policy. Driving through the middle of Montana brought about feelings of being in the Scottish Highland. The vibrant green rolling hills were visually enhanced by the glowing orange sunset. My job interview in Bellevue, Washington wasn’t until Monday morning, so I had three days to drive the 16 hours. I wasn’t in a hurry, so I drove slowly and enjoyed the drive. I looked over and saw that the town of Lodge Grass was approaching. I wanted to stop since the store was on an Indian Reservation. I loved to collect Southwestern art.
The deer, knowing that they couldn’t cross all four lanes, decided to return to their starting location and try again later. The only problem was that my vehicle was in the way of that return trek.
Changing their walk to a leap, the group turned around and headed back to the north side of the road. The first leap brought them in contact with the car. Like a television comedy, little deer legs went windmilling in every direction. The surprised looks on the deer showed their confusion and fear. I immediately pulled over and checked on the deer that was unable to get up. The others looked on with their silent recriminations. I saw that the deer was injured and not likely to be healed. She had, at the least, two front broken legs. I called 911 and asked for a Highway Patrol to meet me at my current location.
Let me break from the story for a minute and relate that I am in rural Montana and not at my typical location of Salt Lake City, Utah. My AT&T provided cell service does not work very well in this state. I was told by many residents that the best service to have in that state would have been Verizon. This factor played a major factor in the next 48 hours. However, the majority of my complaints arise out of Geico’s leaving me stranded without water nor food while having two dogs in the car with me.
The highway Patrol arrived and assessed the situation. I was currently on I-90 west at about mile marker 527.5. He suggested that I drive the short distance to Lodge Grass to get off the highway since it became more dangerous at night. I took the incident report (Montana Highway Patrol #**) and drove the short distance to Lodge Grass. I tried to call Geico, but I could not get a call to keep a connection. I called my wife, and she called Geico. We were able to convey our location through her, so we thought that unfortunate incident would soon be behind us. The lady said that the closest auto body shop was currently closed. The soonest that they could get out to me would be at 7am. Hearing this was annoying, but I figured that I could survive 10 hours in my car on the Reservation.
I slept in the parking lot of a closed store in Lodge Grass with two dogs clamoring for a spot to sleep on top of me. At about 2am a group of Native Americans started pounding of the doors of an RV that was parked fairly close to me. They were asking if they were broke down and where were they headed. It was a very scary situation, and I thought it best to move away as fast as possible. I started driving to the next town knowing fully that I had a hole in my radiator, but fearing that if I stayed, I would be killed.
The car seemed to work fine as long as I did not drive faster than 1500 rpm. Any faster than 1500 rpm, the car would overheat too quickly. I didn’t want to hurt the engine, but I didn’t know what else to do. I decided on 5 miles as a safe number. I drove 5 miles, and I would then wait one hour for the car to cool down. I did this all night until I reached the Big Horn Auto Body Shop that the Geico agent recommended. This company had no record of my even needing a tow. Furthermore, they couldn’t handle the type of damage that had occurred to the car. I tried calling Geico, but I gave up after exceedingly long wait times. What to do?
I stayed in town several hours and tried to determine my best course of action. I kept in continuous contact with my wife because I hoped that she would get a call from Geico. Eventually, the town folk convinced me that I needed to get to Billings, Montana to the VW dealership since they had their own specialized repair service (Rimrock).
So now I am living in my car with the dogs. Geico might want to hear from me, but their automated system is such that I can never contact them. I am not only depressed, but I am about to have a breakdown! Knowing that it might take me two days to drive the 49 miles to Billings, I decided to give my dogs up for adoption. Dogs that I love as much as my children were given up because I thought that they might die on the two day trip. I gave my two dogs to the Freckles and Tomcat Rescue at 10230 Old Mountain Highway 87; Hardin, MT 59034.
With tearing flowing freely down my eyes, I started driving the 5 miles that was possible each hour. About 2pm, a Geico agent called and asked if a tow truck had ever arrived. I said no. I gave my exact location. I, of course, lost reception, but the agent called back. The location was confirmed, so even though I lost reception with her a third time, I stayed right where I was and waited for the tow truck. I waited for the next five hours again in this high plains desert. Temps were over 100 degrees and I had no water, but the tow truck was finally on its way. Right? After five hours, I assumed that the agent had lied to again! I was so dehydrated that I did not think that I could make it through the night. I decided to try again for Billings.
I arrived at the Rimrock Auto body shop at 8am. Thirty-five hours after the crash, and I finally could finally safely get out of the car. There were no rentals available in Billings, and absolutely NO rentals for my one-way trip back to Salt Lake City. I was stranded. Geico would not or could not answer. I tried contacting them through the app several times, and I even tried to use the texting option. Nothing worked. I even tried emailing them hoping for any help or suggestion as to what I should do. Not knowing what else to do, I booked the cheapest flight that I could to SLC, Utah.
My car is basically abandoned in another state with my insurance company ignoring me. Is this what Geico’s Comprehensive Coverage entails? Please note that I have front and rear cameras installed in my VW Jetta. You cannot only see the incident, but, whenever the car is on, you can hear my conversation with Geico. Please feel free to retrieve these videos from the autobody shop located in Billings, Montana. Please also note that your company relies too heavily on the Geico app. If a person is in a location that does not receive cell service, they cannot even download the app!

Geico is fine unless you have a claim. I was involved in a situation where a young driver sideswiped me and damaged my SUV. He admitted fault and was insured. I needed the car fixed ASAP and called Geico-my insurer. They said that I had to pay for the repairs myself because of my deductible-and then if they could get an anything from the kid's insurance they would reimburse me. I said "You're kidding-I have to do this myself? Any other insurance would immediately take over and get it taken care of." They said "Yes-but that's our policy."
I then checked with 3 major carriers and they all stated that they would operate exactly the way I expected my insurer to act. Needless to say-I intend to get rid of Geico as soon as possible. As an interesting final comment. Each of the two insurers that I contacted offered the exact same coverage for about 10 dollars a month less.

We all recognize this friendly little lizard. Great rates + Great service = Awesome Insurance Company. Right? Wrong. This post is about customer service, surveys and the importance of loyalty in the digital age. We’ve had our policy for over 5 years. No accidents, no issues. Then, one day my hubby and I have a small fender bender in a parking lot. Since we both backed into each other we figured it would be a 50/50 fault determination. Again, wrong. While our car is in the shop, we get a letter from our adjuster, Akilah M. stating that we were determined 100% at fault and we had 30 days from the letter date to dispute this. We both called DAILY for weeks to dispute the decision. Left multiple messages. Crickets. When you call the main Geico customer service number, the system recognizes your number and immediately loops you back to guess where…the adjusters’ line with a voicemail she never returns!
Over a hour and over five calls to the main line. Geico AI rerouting the call. Cannot get an actual person on the phone. Infuriating. I then decided to fill out a customer service survey that I received in my inbox that week. I was brutally honest about the lack of follow through, the ignored phone calls, terrible AI and the fact that Geico will no longer be our insurance company. GEICO is FIRED (and your employee should be too!)!! I get a call from Akilah’s boss within the hour. Hmmm…. So the survey worked. But should it take a negative survey to get a return call? Is that what you consider customer service?! Of course, she apologized. Fawn H. seemed like she was willing to look at the claim again and provide the customer service we are used to. Again, repeatedly, Fawn dropped the ball. Expecting a call on Monday, she called on Friday at 4pm stating she was leaving for the weekend. We could reach her Monday. Wow.
We called Monday. Again, no return call until Wednesday, where she told us that the decision has stayed the same and quickly got off the phone. So she let the file sit on her desk for two weeks to conduct no actual interviews with the other agent or insurer. Again, wow. Because they had to pay out for our expensive bumper (new cars are $1000s to fix), we were held 100 % accountable and they immediately reported to the state/DMV. Regardless of the outcome of the claim, I expected a lot better from the friendly lizard that brags so intently on customer service. Well Geico, you have lost our business for life due to TERRIBLE customer service and lack of loyalty. I write this post in hopes that others decide to get quotes on other agencies that may actually provide good service.

The lead guy on the "team" that is helping me just told me "I can't speak to what any of my teammates told you...." WHAT?!?!
Your teammates tell me something and you are saying that they can't make any statements on behalf of GEICO? Why are they answering the phone then? Why wouldn't they say "I can't speak to this claim" or something like that. Pure and simple, they are trying to wear me out. I wanted to add insurance to my Geico auto policy, twice I asked them for a quote, never got one. Went with Hartford. First, no matter what time you call it’s a 20-30 min. wait. No wait at a Hartford, immediate rep to help. I called Geico to cancel and was hung up on, intentionally, after 30 min. wait. I see others have also been hung up on. How childish, and what a way to run a company! I can’t even imagine if you have to put a claim thru that was your fault. So, in punishment, I was bombarded with threatening emails and mailings about letting my policy lapse for nonpayment. I had Hartford in force the next day, of course.
Tried to call again tonight, put on hold for 25 min. So I hung up. Probably cause I made the error of stating the true nature of my call, to cancel auto insurance. What prompted my changing insurers was that my coverage kept increasing tho I drove less and less, all with good driving record and never put a claim in. Drove for pleasure only, yet all the other companies had less expensive quotes than the one I’d been with for years. Nasty company, never again.

Drove back to town and could feel it pull to the right, turned out bent tie rod, not ok to drive so already reported accident and was assured of a rental car so called to get that so I could leave car to be fixed and they did body estimate. They did find some other mechanical stuff but nothing major. Long story short, of course it was a high estimate cause they are always more than you think.
GEICO decided to total my car, had bank loan. I wanted to keep car and was assured that I can't but cheerfully told at least my loan would be paid. Yes on their letter they sent me it shows right on it that the old use is class "C" and the new use is class "C". The reviews on Geico's website are fake. Real reviews are much more negative.
They lie in their commercials about saving money so why would I not expect them to lie about the rate they are giving me. I have had the absolute worst experience with GEICO. My damage adjuster “Huy **” has been terrible. From the beginning he has ran me around in circles. I totaled my car and needed geico to pay it off since I had full coverage and gap insurance so it should be no problem. Mr ** originally told me he needed to go inspect the car to make sure it’s a total loss so I needed to get all the paperwork completed for the tow yard. I did that, just for Mr ** to then tell me that he only works remotely and can’t go up there. So I asked him what to do since he’s an inspector. What does he do if he can’t go in person and what do I do because I need my car to be verified for “total loss”. He tells me if I have pictures of the car then he can do it that way, but I always had pictures and he never gave me that option before? If we would have done that from the beginning this would have been done way faster.
So I submit the pictures to him, he of course takes days to respond because that’s always how he has been. Come to find out the car had been moved several times to new tow yard because it was there too long. So now I have repo fees and towing fees that geico is supposed to handle for me. But Mr ** said it would take a week or 2 for the check to get sent to the tow yard for them to get it and Capital one needed it sooner otherwise they were going to put on my card that it was a repo because capital one is the one that had to tow the car so being in the original tow yard for so long. So I decided to pay the fees upfront myself and have geico send me the check in the mail. Everything is paid now and Mr ** goes days and weeks taking so long to do this, after almost a month he tells me the car is good to go now and they are going to pick it up, me and him both call the tow yard to make sure everything is good and the lady tells us yes.
More days pass and I ask him what is going on. Why isn’t the car picked up, he tells me that the tow yard is now saying they need some paperwork to release the car, even though they just told us it’s okay and Mr ** is saying he doesn’t know what the paperwork is. So I myself call the tow yard to figure it out even though that’s his job, she tells me the only “paperwork” she needs is the towing company that is coming to get the car for me to email her an appointment day and time along with their ID, which is understandable. I called back Mr ** and explained to him what “paperwork” it was and he said, "Yeah I know. I just called." But why didn’t he call days ago to figure it out? Also how did he not know what kind of paperwork it is, I called and found out within minutes, very easy task.
So now over a month has passed and it’s been 31+ days and capital one has now put on my credit report a “repossession” due to the car being in the tow yard for so long and not getting paid off and completed in a timely manner. Huy **, who is a my Geico auto adjuster has destroyed my credit and put me through hell to get this situation taken care of. I take complete responsibility for my car accident, but as my insurance company you should help me fix it since that’s all you’re there for. On top of that I reached out to Geico directly and they told me they can’t do anything expect transfer me to Mr **. Although he works for them and I’m telling them he’s not helping me. Not to mention throughout this whole month, Mr ** never answers phone calls or text messages for days at a time, despite how many voicemails I leave him.
He also told me that if we can’t get the car out of the tow yard (which makes no sense cause it’s there and ready they just need an appointment from the towing company that’s going to come get it), that I’ll then be given the car back to me and Geico won’t pay anything off on the car or do anything and I’ll just be stuck with it. Even though I have full coverage and gap insurance and the car is very low in miles so it’s not an older beat up car, unbelievable.
It’s safe to say Geico has great coverage and policies but terrible auto adjusters and they do not help you even if you call and tell them the people that work for them aren’t doing anything. I am now fighting to get this “repo” off my credit. On top of that I have lost my job, my car, I’m injured with a fractured neck and can barely walk, and temporarily lost my license. Despite having these injuries I still took ubers and got transportation to get all the paperwork and everything done just so it was easier for him even though I was supposed to be at home resting, but that didn’t help at all.

Last night the supervisor refused to take my 160 after 30 min of back and forth and lied to everyone she told about the reason she hung up which was because I asked to see the date and amount I had paid for the last 6 months to show her that my payment hasn't been canceled and I never paid 160, but she hung up before I was able to offer her the rest from another credit card.
I lost my job over 10 dollars and lost my auto insurance. She was more concerned with "WHY" hasn't his policy cancelled rather than taking my payment, So assumed she had prejudice, after being hung up on by her, I called back and got a supervisor name Sam and he said that I was being racist against her, which was not true. Sam said my insurance had been cancelled since 3pm on 12-18, now I'm confused and upset because what if I was in accident or I what if I got pulled over, and you think you have coverage but you really don't. Now I had one supervisor said I have insurance and another said it's been cancelled for a day. I get a call from another supervisor name Spencer. He wants me to take a screenshot of the time I called Geico but phone isn't showing I called Geico at all, why should I when the first supervisor said multiple time that, "I can't Believe that you still have coverage."
I was treated unfairly because I lost my job, no insurance and over 10dollars. Then I realized that I tried to pay 160 dollars, three months ago I was in the same situation. Last date of payment didn't have none of the money. Very helpful organization made a pledge, and my insurance stayed active and they did not spend a single dime, but the hardworking American citizen who doesn't have a organzation with him, insurance will be cancelled on that date if he don't have every single dime... Next time I will call the organization and it will be for free...no insurance, lost of job made out to be the accuser when I was really the victim...
But be careful choosing GEICO because you may be riding thinking you have insurance but you really won't have insurance, also I found that Progressive is 100 dollars cheaper than geico. At least it was for my policy so I thank geico for cancelling my coverage which allowed me to see how greedy they are and realizing they don't care about the customers as much as they care about organizations, at least I learned how greedy they are in Macon. DO NOT TRUST GEICO...

It's very unprofessional from Geico. It happened yesterday. Both insurers were from geico. The adjuster from other side called me early morning and she was like she wanted to settle fast. I didn't have an adjuster from my side. I got only few dollars and I asked for more. She didn't agree. During the conversation I said I am rethinking about the offer. She didn't listen and said she wanted to go fast and finish with the offer given. Felt like she was more protective on the on side of the fault driver since she wanted to settle fast and not give more. I might need more money than that.
I went to a neurologist, psychiatrist. And a dermatologist for treatment and follow up and all this happened just yesterday. And I even reported it down yesterday itself. I think she was trying to save more money for the company and her side of the claim than offering me for my injuries. What's the purpose of insurance then for me if it's not to protect me and also I wasn't the fault driver.

Back in May 2020 my wife backed into my one of my other cars in the driveway with minimal damage - I called Geico as I thought I should and explained the situation and that it was minor - they told me to get an appraisal of damage - After the appraisal I said I did not want the work to be done and would take care of this myself & cancel any claims as I didn't want it anyway honestly - 3 weeks later a check for $560 comes in the mail. I immediately call Geico and said I didn't want the check & I didn't approve the check. They said the appraiser did!! I said, "Ok but I didn't" and they said, "Just throw it away and it will cancel itself" - Now 12-5-20 renewal time they upped Insurance $100 a month and told me, "Sorry but there is nothing we can do" about the negative impact on my Insurance history - Terrible company, impossible to get in touch with anyone to fix this mistake. Oh, & they did look back and saw the check was never cashed - Terrible.

I have had auto insurance service with Geico for a while, and when I renewed my policy for the 3rd time I spoke with a representative who advised me. After a couple of months of my new renewed policy I noticed that I had not gotten what was discussed. I called in and they said they could not help me because it was company policy. I then spoke with a supervisor who advised me even though the other representative did in fact tell me what she told me there was nothing they could do because it was company policy. I was charged more money than I was told.
They effectively STOLE from me because I was charged more than I was promised I would be charged. Management is telling me it doesn't matter what I was told it is company policy and so there's nothing they can do about it, although I can cancel if I would like. When did stealing become legal? Because last time I checked charging someone for more than what you said you were going to is stealing.

They wont let you not choose a star, if I could it would be a negative. I came back to GEICO two years ago after previously dropping them for policies and fees I didn't agree with. Well let's just say some things never change. In September of 2020 I had my normal payment and a unauthorize payment draft from my account. I contacted customer service which they advised me that I would have to wait until my account had the overdraft on it and then it would take 5-10 business days to get my account refunded. I paid the fees and said forget it.
Well in November 2020 same thing happen again, I was advised that I would have to send them a copy of my bank statement and they would refund the money plus any fees. I submitted bank statements and they only refunded the money not the overdraft fee. Now I contact them and they tell me today that it will take 7-14 business days to have my overdraft fee refunded. Total unlawful business practicing. When I leave GEICO this time I will not EVER return. For a peace of mind and not having to watch my money for unauthorize charges I would rather pay more money!!!! BEWARE after reading review I see this happens more than often, human error is not acceptable in a pandemic with economic hardships being experienced at an all time high. I set up a new policy through Geico September 11, 2020 on a Dodge Truck. At this time I was told that anytime a new policy or changes take place payment is due in full and was charged for three months in advance. I gave them my debit card info (which they have on file) and was told I was on autopay. I then called a month later to add another vehicle (Buick) and was told I was all set and everything was good and that my next payment was due at the end of the 3 months (Dec 11, 2020).
About a month and a half later I was sent a cancellation notice through email. FYI this was only 2.5 months after I started my policy. When I called (Nov 30th, 2020) to see what the issue was they said I didn't pay for the second vehicle so they canceled ALL the policy and my new renewal rate had increased by $120 over six months. When I told them that I had been informed my payments were up to date and that I was also told by the representative that the next payment wouldn't be due until the end of the three month period (Dec 11, 2020, which I also was told was on auto pay anyway) I was told that the representative had misinformed me but they weren't going to reinstate my old policy, rather I would have to create a new policy that was now $120 more expensive.
By-the-way, I was never set up on auto-pay. I asked them to review the old phone records and they said it wasn't possible. They don't have records. I asked for supervisors etc. I received completely different information from each representative I spoke with. Even the supervisors (Emily and eventually Jennifer) said that the previous people I spoke with should have had certain information which they did not. With all of that, they said Geico would not change the rate because they had mailed out a notice to me, which I never received. She also admitted that the rates were due within a month of when the second vehicle was added (yet the representative had my debit card of file, I was told I was on auto-renew, and the representative told me everything was squared away and good until Dec 11, 2020). Emily said that nobody within Geico has the capability to override the price difference even though it was their error.
Notice, they canceled my policy in November 2020 even though I was told I was good until December 11, 2020 in all previous instances. There were inconsistencies between every phone call. Caution!!! Record every phone call you make with Geico. I asked them to review their phone record and they said they couldn't. They basically treated me like I was lying. I have a credit score over 800. Everything I do is on auto-pay. I have never had an issue like this.
The customer service representatives were snobby and combative. They said they have policies and procedures and basically are not responsible for any errors made by their representatives. Probably the most concerning this is that they canceled the insurance that I had paid for 3 months on. So I was driving around an uninsured vehicle. Had I been in a wreck or had an issue, I could have been sued and my life altered. I have children that I am responsible for and this could have been life-changing. Geico takes no responsibility for their errors or actions. Absolutely ZERO customer service qualities when there is a problem.

• Geico is responsible eg. When Geico recommended a collision center and then produced a lifetime guarantee for only the collision center recommended, excluding all others, they took direct responsibility for the care of my vehicle within the umbrella of their organization and are responsible for any increase in the total damage incurred originally; also, when the greater plausibility of the origin of said extra damage to my vehicle occurred while the claim was still open and while in care of Geico’s contracted establishment, the responsibility to me for said damage is Geico’s.
• Geico is not upholding their obligation underwritten within their advertised policies eg. Lifetime guarantee; when the origin of said extra damage was incurred in their care, the open claim and damage incurred within is responsible for setting the parameters and conditions of the claim, in which any damage incurred within is part of the claim itself and subject to Geico’s Lifetime guarantee and should be treated as extra damage being a result to their responsibility and influence of the conditions of the initial accident (the accident happens and from initial contact all pursuing damages are atomically interconnected and are a result of the accident) found after reinspection of direct result, and Geico’s continuation of the claim and not opening a new one directly insinuates an acknowledgement of their comprehension of responsibility.
• Geico has behaved maliciously and in bad faith. eg. Geico instead of upholding their responsibility to me challenged the conditions of the oil prior to receiving my vehicle; while, the greater plausibility of the cause of the malfunction was evidently within the parameters of their organization’s activities eg. 1.The engine seizing on the same day within 30 to 50 miles of driving from Geico’s repair facility. 2. Geico having acknowledged themselves and witnessing myself the oil level being extremely low 3. Having communicated to Geico that the oil filter was loose and leaking and Geico acknowledging this to be factual. 4. Communicating to Geico that their was no oil spots in my parking space at home and them not investigating that condition in good faith. 5. Having provided receipts and transactions of transmission fluid, engine oil, and brake management using the OEM’s guidelines.
6. Witnessing a hand tight oil drain plug on the vehicle myself and expressing this to Geico after an Independent diagnostic center and Geico inspected the vehicle together not mentioning the loose drain plug and then me returning to the diagnostic center to find said drain plug tightened; also, Geico’s bad faith, inhouse investigation and industry influence has tampered with the credibility of any witness(s) that may be called to testify in a court of law eg. Somebody retightening the oil drain plug while the vehicle was being inspected by and for Geico and not reporting it to me and communicating with automotive maintenance/repair facilities that I have charged with changing my oil/other tasks and reporting to me overexaggerated explanations and falsehoods of my vehicle’s maintenance.
Furthermore, Geico not opening a claim with their business insurance provider in turn excluding the damage from the claim they provided and requesting the vehicle be inspected implicates their recognition and bad faith intent in withholding of their legal obligation. I filed a claim on 10/27/2020 for an accident involving a parking block ripping off the front bumper, front skirt, and wheel well liners of my vehicle. After checking my schedule, an appointment was made for 11/03/2020 at Geico's repair facility here in Reno, NV.
When arriving at the contracted third party shop, A Pro Collision Center, that had Geico banners flying everywhere, somehow, the appointment date had been changed, without anyone's knowledge, to the following day. They took my vehicle anyway, and a shorter brute, after attending to another individual first, accompanied me outside to my vehicle to assess the work to be done. To start, he kept smacking his chops and rushing the process; like, he was overstimulated. After pointing things out that he had missed in his verbal assessment, his "over stimulated" interactions became slightly passive aggressive. We finished, and I left in a rental vehicle provided by an awesome lady from Enterprise. I pay for the rental through my policy.
After receiving a completion date of Fri, 11/06/2020, I returned to the collision repair center to retrieve my vehicle. I was headed toward the work area, as the receptionist had offered, when a taller gentleman intervened and denied me access; stating, "your car will be finished in a couple of hours." I returned the following morning for my vehicle and was, once again, treated like third class from the original brute. He handed me unfilled out paperwork and, in retrospect, rushed me out of there with a slight gold tooth grin on his face. I drove the vehicle home and parked it until evening.
Saturday night, I decide to cruise around and check out the scene. I start off in Sparks and cruise to Reno (small sister cities). I head over to a friends house, after leaving the downtown area, to make some plans; suddenly, I hear a clacking sound; immediately, I recognize my engine has a broken rod, so I creep my car to a safe area, thinking, those guys sabotaged my vehicle, where my engine seizes and stalls. I hadn’t driven more than 30 miles. I call Geico for roadside assistance and explain my situation, including my suspicions, to a lady in Georgia who then transferred me to a gentleman in Washington.
This guy immediately starts bombarding me with negative insinuating questions; I hurry up and ask him to finish helping with my roadside assistance. He apologizes for the last person not having already done so, and he asks me my location. He tells me to wait on the line while he handles the details and then... HANGS UP! I call back; this time, I explain to a lady in San Diego what had just transpired, and she didn't even have a record of the previous correspondence. I mean, they have to have a call log, right? I do. I re-explained my situation to her, and she transferred me to her supervisor who was very sympathetic. She assured me Geico would take responsibility, but I had to talk with the adjuster assigned on Monday. She then offered me an extension on my previous claim's rental. Thankfully, the tow truck showed. My phone was dead. I get the car home, and go to bed.
The next day, I checked the oil dipstick and there was nothing registering, so I get my 1 ton automobile jack, ratchet, socket, extension, and a cut up milk jug and get under my vehicle. I go to remove the drain plug, and it's hand tight. I proceed to drain a quarter of a quart of oil out to check its condition, which I'll admit was dark, but I use full synthetic, so the viscosity was still very much intact. It was on one jack stand, and it took a full minute to drain that little of an amount.
On Monday, I finally got into a rental car, and I was able to talk to the insurance adjuster assigned to the claim. I had my vehicle towed later that week. This guy shows up in a flat bed version truck of the same company that originally towed my vehicle. He tows me to an Auto Diagnostic Center that he, owns? I went to the new shop the next day and the manager told me he couldn't get the car in the air for a couple of days. I returned to a couple of days, and walked under the vehicle with him, he didn't mention the oil drain plug that I had left hand tight, as I had found it.
I left and came back days later after my vehicle was inspected by Geico and their collision shop. I reached up, and the oil plug was tight. I left and relayed all this information to the insurance adjuster and then went back and asked the guy, "who tightened the drain plug?" And he says, immediately, "I'll take a lie detector test." I then ask him about the other individuals that had been around my vehicle inspecting it. And don't you know, he was just too quick to defend them and bring up his skills in videography.
When dealing with the third adjuster, I gave him the information for the last shop that did a complete oil change and transmission flush. I also texted him photos of a receipt of when I personally topped off the oil and changed my pads in late July (you know, with things being tight because of COVID19). Now, after communicating with the district manager, I have been informed that Geico doesn’t want to take responsibility and that their cause is a partisan misrepresented version of my engine maintenance history; which time line goes as such:
1. I got a complete oil changed last winter (my vehicle sits sometimes for weeks especially since the COVID19 outbreak).
2. In mid July I had my vehicle towed to a shop for front brake pads when the squealer pin malfunctioned in my apartment complex’s parking lot and didn’t warn me of what condition my brakes were in; subsequently, I was told my oil was registering low on the dipstick, and they wanted to charge me $800.00 for new front brake pads and rotors and oil.
3. I went to Pep Boys and bought brake pads (front and back), rotors (front and back), quart of oil, a star wrench, a glow stick, and a pink sun shade and pink mace for my girlfriend for less than $300 dollars.
4. I had the vehicle towed from the shop ($800.00 was too expensive) to a place where I could work on the brakes. I only needed to replace the front brake pads and add 1/2 quart of oil as that was all that was needed. The oil was still in good condition, and I was still showing a percentage of miles to be driven until my next oil change on my information display which may have been reset some miles after receiving my last oil change because I noticed it hadn’t been reset do to me sitting in the vehicle while the work was being performed (Chevrolet recommends checking the oil and changing, if necessary, every 7500 miles). I kept the remainder of the oil, rotors, and rear brake pads for when they are needed.
• To show the nature of the industry and character of networked individuals involved, I was recommended to the auto diagnostic center by an auto body shop that saved my vehicle previously. That time, State Farm's preferred body shop "jacked" the repair price "up" from $4000 to $12000 and tried to get my vehicle totaled. There was some bumper damage and a small ding in the lower bottom support side of my front passenger cabin (I struck a railroad track getting out of an ambulance's and garbage truck's path). That guy didn't even do the work that warranted the lump sum of the price increase from the original estimate the other shop had overinflated, ~but he kept all but 2000 of the check State Farm issued him and I~. I used the rebated $2000 to pay for the rental I had to purchase for 30 days, which was somehow ~miraculously~ the same amount.
• I still have the tiny amount of oil I drained, to check its viscosity (which is still very much good), out of my car, for myself.• There is still no oil in my parking space which my car spends extended amounts of time in.
Desired Outcome: For GEICO to repair my vehicle, to at minimum, the condition it was in prior to leaving it in their care.

I have been using Geico insurance for decades and have found them to be a moderately reliable company. I am able, due to my own and my spouses driving record, to insure both of are older vehicles (my 2002 Volvo S40 and her 1999 Mercedes Benz) for around a dollar a day. Granted this is the minimum coverage required by California law, but California law is quite exacting. Plus, the joint value of our cars is less than $4,000.00.
We've only had one accident in all of our years with Geico. It involved us being hit from the rear and being flipped onto the side. Luckily no one was hurt beyond a few scratches and cuts. Geico was the insurer for both vehicles and worked with us until an amicable solution was reached for both parties. And most importantly, did not raise our rates, since we were not at fault. Thus, their claims department, unlike other companies, is just as good as their billing department. Which the latter, as is evident, has always worked with us to keep our car insurance premiums within our budget.

Within the last week, Geico was supposed to take my monthly payment out of my bank account but there was no transaction by them made for that account. I contacted Geico and explained the situation and they said the payment was made, so I double checked the account and none was made at all. They told me it may take a couple of days to go through. I used that account to do another transaction and it was shown in my bank statement by the next day. I got an e-mail from Geico stating if I don't pay the payment within 2 weeks then I lose my car insurance with them (they sent me a cancellation policy). So I contacted Geico again and told them the transaction is still not showing up on the bank account they're supposed to take the payment out of and that I've been trying to make the payment with my bank account but it keeps saying, "Enter a valid checking account or select another payment method."
I asked if they possibly got numbers mixed up and took money out of someone else's account instead of mine and they said they used the same account they've been using to receive monthly payments. I also told them I've been trying to pay the payment on Geico.com but it won't let me and reminded them the money for the payment is in the bank account they're supposed to take the payment out of. They told me to contact my bank and see what they say about the situation and Geico lady rep told me she would call me back in an hour and a half and discuss what my bank told me. I called my bank and told them what's going on and they looked into it and said there's no issues with my account and that Geico isn't on the return list.
The bank lady also told me they never received a request from Geico to take money out of my bank account at all this month and they suggested I ask Geico to try taking the payment out of the bank account again. So I waited for Geico lady rep to call me back and she never did. I tried paying this month's payment on Geico.com and it won't let me as it states my bank account isn't valid, yet it's the account they've been taking monthly payments out of for several straight years. I called Geico back and spoke to a different rep and filled her in and she tried to get my bank account correct in their system but it wouldn't let her. I tried and it wouldn't let me either. So I suggested we both get my bank on the 3rd line and resolve this issue.
So Geico lady rep called my bank after I gave her the number and the bank lady spoke to her supervisor and realized the amount due for my car insurance got rejected because Geico had the wrong type of bank account in their system. As the bank lady and Geico lady rep were discussing that Geico should remove my payment method and start over by putting my bank account they've been using in again, the Geico lady hung up and didn't call me back at all.
I usually don't have an issue with Geico but it's disappointing to me how Geico is handling all of this. The bank lady told me that the lady rep from Geico should be speaking to the back office and make sure the information to receive payments from me is correct but for some reason, Geico seems shady. I don't understand why Geico has been taking money out every month for car insurance and out of the blue this month, they have the wrong information in their system and aren't handling it well. Promising to call me back about resolving the issue then not doing so and then hanging up during a 3-way call with Geico, myself and my bank is shady to me.
Also, 7 years ago, I had an accident that totaled my car and the guard rails needed to be fixed. Geico said they'd pay to have it fixed and 7 years later, it's still damaged. 3 years ago, someone drove into my car and Geico said they'd resolve it and have my car damage fixed and 3 years later, it's not fixed whatsoever. Thank God my car is still drivable and safe on the road. For some reason, Geico just gives me the runaround. I'm seriously considering switching insurances immediately and being done with Geico. 3 strikes, you're out.

Can I tell you by switching to GEICO I saved myself so much money! The premiums are reasonable, the customer service is great, and I am beyond pleased. I highly recommend them to young drivers, drivers who have had insurance for a while and are looking to bundle. They said to get the car towed back to my house they would have to charge me because they “only allow one tow per breakdown” and any tows requested after the first one would have to be paid out of pocket. I was told by Ivy S, the Geico rep who set up the tow that they would be able to take care of both tows. This was very misleading and borderline fraud. Definitely go with Triple A. They do a great job and genuinely care about their customers. Geico Roadside Assistance? Not so much.

First, I have been a Geico customer for 27 years. They have covered my auto in 3 foreign countries and 3 states. I have been a strong advocate for them. Customer service was always quick and efficient. THEN... I moved to Florida, again. With no accidents, discounts for safe driving, defensive driving courses, auto with safety factors, excellent credit score, and no debt, Geico doubled my six month policy - apparently just because I moved.
It took hours to get a live person on the line. Finally got one local office, the woman said she was an agent, but I'm not sure. Refused to return emails or calls even though she said she was getting another quote from Underwriting. Finally sent a message via an online mode, and got a form letter response. I challenged them that they didn't even look at my policy/record. They came back with one small change, but no significant drop in cost. I'm really sad to leave them - there were many years of satisfaction, but it is not reasonable that after an excellent record over 27 years the premium doubled. Seems I was penalized for moving to Florida (even though I'd lived here only 4 years ago! I have cancelled with Geico.

This starts because Geico withdrew over l $300 from my bank account as well as caused me to have three bounce check fees because they continually ran a check for money that I didn't owe them and they were already paid. Initially they said they will return the money but it would take 7 to 10 days. it didn't take you 7 to 10 days to take my money out of my account and I have other bills due so that answer is unacceptable. Now they went back on that promise and refuse to refund the bank check fees and the amount of $75.
I have had literally three conversations with Geico agents today and I can't distinguish one from the other. I will say that individually most agents were fine however the total outcome in my situation is very poor and the great respect I had is gone. Manager that hung up on me or the other manager that didn't I have to respect to take my call and routed information repeatedly through one of the agents. Super super poor customer service.

Which ironically is the first thing you hear when you are greeted by your adjuster's voicemail every day. When they are collecting your fees, it's all lilies and roses... I've been a Geico Customer for nearly 7 years. From my experience their claims service is horrible. They try to use after market parts that will void your warranty. They will try to have you pick up additional costs beyond your deductible. If you have a fender bender the fun begins. Two issues. First we were hit. That turned into a giant mess then finally got my deductible back after covering the bill myself. That took nearly eight months. Second time, hit in a parking lot by a auto lube employee who ran from the scene. Shop proved a video claiming they were not at fault. Now facts don't matter because the adjusters don't listen. Bottom line I was hit so hard that my SUV had nearly $9000 in damages. Yet the other vehicle had a minor blemish on the bumper cap. After nearly nine months it was settled in arbitration.
After having the video reviewed by the first adjuster I was informed that it was 50/50. Geico went to arbitration with just the video. No statement and a police report that show the driver hit and ran. I've had to spend hours on the phone. I've had adjusters tell me no the other car moved first, even when you can't see through a wall. Then the final adjuster who never spoke to me just filed the arbitration with the video which shows the other car never yielding, driving across a parking lot and hitting me. They didn't call just got a form letter. I called and left a message, no call back. My rates had already gone up nearly double. No tickets, no other violations. Great credit history, no criminal record, own my own home, nothing- then I get a letter canceling my liability insurance claiming I have two accidents in the last three years. Odd you'd think you'd remember that fact.
So I begin another saga of what is going on. An adjuster that I was able to talk to said, "You filed a report on a Uhaul." Sorry but no, and it was a flat tire and I paid it. I asked was a claim paid, No. So then no accident right, well no a claim was filed. But you didn't pay any money and there was no accident. At this point I've talked to so many people and no one can fix anything or take responsibility for what others don't do. Is the cheap insurance worth it? Not sure but my record is a mess and they have attributed two accidents to me so forget moving to another carrier.

They then sat on the lien for another week, before paying the balance. They then told me they had everything they needed from me, they were just waiting for the title from the lien holder, in order to issue my check. 3 weeks in, they tell me they need a Power of Attorney form, and that I can fax one in, and my check will immediately be issued. I spent 5-6 years with Geico insurance. I had car insurance with them and renters insurance for a year as well. In the 5-6 yrs I never submitted 1 claim to them. Not 1. I started making deliveries for a food delivery service once in a while to make ends meet because I was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 and after having chemo and radiation treatments I was unable to return to the carpentry business. I received a call from geico telling me that I could not make deliveries and either I needed to stop delivering and get a letter from the company stating I am no longer delivering for them or I would have to get a policy with another company. I told them I needed to make ends meet so I could not stop. So I was told that I only had 1 more payment due on my existing policy, I was told just to make that payment and re- consider staying with geico.
So I made that last payment and I had 30 days to either get a new policy with another company or stop delivering end up on the streets to keep my policy with geico. About 1 1/2 -2 weeks after I made that payment which was suppose to be my last payment for that 6 month period. I received a text mess. From geico telling me I owed another payment. I called geico right away and spoke with an employee there @geico. I was told by that employee that she was looking at my policy and that it was indeed paid in full and to disregard the text mess. Which I did.
I did get another policy with another company before the date required. About a week or 2 later I received a email from geico saying that I needed to make a payment or my policy would be cancelled. I replied to that e-mail saying I am not sure what is going on but I have a new policy with a new company. I explained my conversations with the two diff. Geico employees and they said they were not aware that I was not renewing my policy with them and stated I still owed them a final payment of $125 and said their employees both of them made a mistake stating that their employees misinformed me. I was upset. I said if I was told there was another payment due I would have cancelled my policy right then and used that last payment to start my new policy with my new company.
The only reason I did not cancel my policy is because I was told that my policy was paid in full by not 1 but 2 different geico employees.. So I said that it is not my fault your employees gave me the wrong info. And I used that money to start my new policy and should not have to pay that $125 to geico.. So 5-6 yrs no claims not 1 and this company Geico decided to not only list my policy as cancelled by them for non payment but also sent the $125 payment to collections to screw up my credit. This company can not be trusted. Their customer service is atrocious... That $125 payment & that cancelled policy notice is a direct result of their customer service agents negligence and I am the one that has to pay for it... I strongly suggest individuals find another insurance company to insure with one that's honest and does not take advantage of their customers....

I signed up with Geico a year ago for auto insurance and this has been the most horrible experience ever. They are by far the worst insurance company I’ve ever had to deal with! I had a 12 month policy where my payments were to be auto drafted from my bank account every month. Months before my policy was due the end I received an email stating they were giving all their customers 15% back on their annual insurance amount. So I thought that was pretty great of them. Months down the road my policy is coming up on its end date and I actually got a quote from another company and found out I can get full coverage for less than what I’m paying Geico for minimal coverage! Geico Wanted 3X what the other co was charging for full coverage!
So weeks before my policy was due to end I notified geico that I would not be renewing my policy for another year and they proceeded to let me know that I would have to provide proof that I have a new insurance company Before they would let me cancel and stop taking $ out of my bank account even though I only authorized and signed a 12 month agreement! So when I call the new company (Progressive) they let me know that they had automatically sent out proof of the new insurance to geico the day I signed up! So I figured everything would work itself out they had notified me that any overlapping in the coverages w/ the old company would have to date back to when the new one started and they’d refund any money owed for overlap.
I end up getting a bill in the mail for almost $200 saying they’re going to send it over to collections and at this point I had already gone back-and-forth with them like 7 times. They stated they never got the proof from the new company so by the time I found that out, I got the proof myself! I emailed it over to them. At this point it’s 10 phone calls later and a month later! I’m getting these letters stating it’s going to go over to collections if I don’t give them $190 so Again I called them, wait on hold forever, finally talk to somebody, they say they’re going to talk to her supervisor and then Line gets disconnected. I never got a callback! So I call once again just to try to get to the bottom of this and basically was told that that 15% give back they had given months ago was now only for people who were renewing their policy with them?? But never once have they stated that or did it say that in anyway!
So customer beware because they will give you that 15% Without you asking and then if you do not renew for another year with them they will turn around, Demand it and if you cannot pay it right away it will be sent over to collections which is dead wrong because a lot of people live on a budget and that really hurt me them demanding the money down the road months later when I’ve already got a new insurance bill every month. All around the customer service dealing with these people on the phone the way that they literally would not let me cancel at all! I know for a fact that proof was sent over numerous times before they would cancel I felt trapped. They were just going in my bank account taking money so I had to put a stop Payment through my bank. I have never had such a hard time canceling a policy. I’ve never had a company give me a discount and then tell me that I owe them because I didn’t sign up for another year with them!

I told them I did not want to repair the vehicle and wanted to trade the car in and use the insurance check as the down payment (I own the car and there is no bank lien so the car does not have to be repaired to protect the bank). The adjuster wanted me to have it repaired, probably so they could use junk yard parts. Estimates from 2 highly rated body shops were almost twice what the adjuster wanted to offer. Geico NEEDS to address glitches in its billing system. When they allow for entry of a new billing method, they need to ensure funds are taken from the updated account, NOT the previous account. AND ... when a refund is requested and issued, they need to ensure FUNDS ARE REPLACED TO THE EXACT ACCOUNT FROM WHICH THEY WERE TAKEN! — Not the last account from which a payment was made! Furthermore, it is unconscionable to respond to a customer’s problem by claiming “There is nothing we can do.” There is always a solution. In August of 2019, I was in an accident. Another driver had pulled out in front of me and I did not have time to react. By the time I had hit my brakes, I hit him. While his vehicle had minimal damage (scuff mark and minuscule dent in the bumper), my vehicle had ALL airbags deploy, it was leaking fluid, the front end was smashed to pieces, etc.
I initiated a claim with Geico. My husband and I were under the assumption that the vehicle would have been totaled as ALL airbags deployed. My adjuster told me "I am NOT totaling the car as it only has 5K miles on it." I explained to him my concerns for safety should this vehicle take on an extensive repair. He was adamant that since it only had 5K miles on it, he was not totaling it. I also explained to him that I had GAP on the vehicle and that I'd prefer to have this totaled as I would not feel safe driving a vehicle with such extensive damage. He told me "I couldn't care less about your GAP insurance. It's MY decision to not total this vehicle." His supervisor, after evading my phone calls for two weeks, agreed with his decision. The vehicle had $13,000.00 worth in damages and was valued at $15,000.00.
If that wasn't bad enough, the adjuster forced me to take it to a Chevy dealer. I have a Jeep. I begged and begged to let me take it to a Chrysler dealer or an actual collision shop. The adjuster told me that I could not as no other dealer aside from this Chevy dealer is "Geico certified." Again, after explaining to him AND his supervisor my concerns on the safety of this vehicle and not being able to have it repaired at a Chrysler dealer, he tells me that I had until that Friday at 1PM to get it out of impound and to Chevy or else I am personally responsible for impound fees.
I called Geico's 800 number and spoke to several supervisors in customer service. I begged and begged to have another adjuster assigned to my case and they told me that was not an option and that if I wanted a different adjuster, I can pay a private adjuster. I am already paying them to assist me and fulfill the requirements of my policy but they want me to pay a third-party.
The Jeep gets to the Chevy dealer. The boss at the dealer who did the estimate to the car had told me that he tried telling the adjuster that the vehicle should be totaled but the adjuster would not comply. I was without my vehicle for a month. As they began work on it, they found additional repairs since the initial estimate. The adjuster said to just "R&I" the additional repairs even though the dealer said to just total it.
This Chevy dealer provided me a verbal AND WRITTEN warranty on the repairs on the vehicle should I have any issues post repair. Well, I certainly do have issues. The vehicle stalls as I am driving, as I am making a turn traction control kicks in and stalls the vehicle mid turn. I contacted the Chevy dealer umpteen times to resolve this but they told me they would only honor the warranty for the paint. I explained to them over and over again that that was NOT what was provided to me in writing and they still wanted no part in it. I called Geico and asked them to call the dealer on my behalf. When they called the dealer, they told Geico that they do not have the proper diagnostic tools to work on a Jeep. THEN WHY WAS IT REPAIRED THERE?! Geico provided no remedy to this.
None of the Dodge/Jeep dealers would accept it as it was in an accident. They tell me to "change my oil" to resolve the issue. An oil change isn't going to stop the vehicle from stalling while in motion. However, I was told by one of the managers in the service department at a Dodge dealer that a person they know works for Geico. This manager had told me that it is illegal to force me to take it to a dealer of their choice that if I wanted to take it somewhere, I should have been allowed to. To this day, I still have issues with my car. I cannot get it repaired. I can't even trade it in as no dealer will accept it due to the accident. We were willing to accept the HUGE carryover and face the negative equity just to get me into a safe, reliable car.

I will not discuss in details how in 1995 they "canceled me" after one of their employee's daughters (15 yr. old) hit me in the driver's door while I was at a red light and they conveniently said "we're sorry, we didn't get your payment last week so we canceled your family policy"-after having them for 4 years. Or how the girl had no dl and how I was 8 1/2 months pregnant and it threw me into labor or Geico's nasty attitude.
I will discuss how when my son last week wanted to check around to see if anyone had a lower cost insurance and asked for a quote (yes he knows they're a rip off but was looking for cheap insurance). They ran a credit check on him WITHOUT a social security number, without permission.... Then they called four times a day for a week trying to convince him to take their policy. NO.... This company will let you down. They will ditch you if your claim affects their office bonuses or for any other reason they can find.
This company does things "their way". They could care less about their customers. It's worth a little price difference to go to a company that will be there for you, not run unauthorized credit checks or falsely cancel you when it's convenient for them. I've been with NW now since that happened in '95 and have never had problem nor have they ran unauthorized credit checks. How this company is still allowed to be in business is beyond me.

I will never ever do business or recommend this company again. It’s sad because they were really good in the beginning but after an accident and speeding ticket everything changed.

I stay with Geico because, by far, for me they have the best premiums. However, my Mini Cooper was vandalized 7/10. My car had to be towed because the thieves took the battery and cut some engine wires. Instead of taking the car to a Mini repair shop (they are notoriously hard to repair), they tow the car to a Ford dealership in Conyers. It’s been approximately three weeks since it’s been at this dealership. The original adjuster quit, and no one bothered to call me. I called the 800 number and tweeted before I received help. The new adjuster is smug and not helpful. His supervisor and the repair shop apologize incessantly. I don’t want apologies, I want my car. At this point, I am afraid they won’t fix my car well or I will have to wait another month for my car. I want what I pay for. My car repaired and it returned.

Very interesting and scary. They quoted me auto policy, went to proceed with the payment saying all is good, then suddenly said a traffic ticket is found on our record that makes premium go up by $450 (35%). Seriously? And that ticket was not even valid. They activated policy without my wish and asked to submit proof that ticket is not chargeable. So I did promptly, submitted letter of dismissed ticket from court. They admitted receipt of letter and say all should be good and they should be able to fix the premium.
It has been one week, 3 follow-ups, calling daily. But no resolution. Customer service shows sincerity and says it's up to underwriters. They try to reach underwriters unsuccessfully, and say will get back to me shortly. Nothing happens. I see it as a big gimmick to try to catch the customer with one price and find an excuse to jack the price and then sit quiet with no resolution, and constantly misinform customer that they are working on it. I could have spent this energy elsewhere to get a better quote from another company. They held me hostage making me believe all is good. I am forced to continue to shop a week later with other insurance providers. My trust in American corporations is going down the tubes. They cheat when they can.

I've been with Geico for four years now and am leaving because I was able to find lower rates with State Farm. After the pandemic started I called Geico to see if I could negotiate a lower rate since I have not been driving; I've filled up my gas tank twice since March (5 months). They were not able to offer me a lower rate, so I started shopping around. Not only is State Farm car insurance 1/4 of what I paid for Geico for the exact same coverage; bundled with renters insurance it is still half the cost of Geico!
I tried to cancel my policy on their website only to discover that you can't cancel online, you have to call. I was on hold with their call center for over an hour before they disconnected me without speaking to me. I then tried calling a local office, where I was told that I had to call the call center and to 'try calling back after hours because they are open 24/7'. I had the thought to call the customer service line again and elect 'purchase new policy' rather than 'cancel policy' and was connected with someone within two minutes.

In the beginning of the pandemic, nearly every insurance company gave an immediate percentage discount or credit of up to 3 months. We were informed we would get a credit on our policy at renewal time in July. We thought it odd that Geico would wait so long to give credits. We got a credit July 1st and didn't have to pay for insurance that month. In the month of July they said they were going to increase our insurance $629 to $740 per month which would have wiped out any Covid savings.
We switched insurance companies starting August 1st because State Farm had actually lowered insurance premiums. Then on August 1st we received a bill from Geico saying that since we didn't renew for 6 months, they are taking back the credit and that now we owe them. It's a complete scam because they significantly raised the rates to cover the Covid credit. It's the biggest bait and switch I've ever seen. So, while nearly every auto insurance gave back due to lower insurance claims, Geico was busy figuring out how to keep all of their revenue plus all the profits from significantly lower insurance claims. I will never do business with Geico again.

We have experienced a tremendous amount of frustration, disrespect, and carelessness about the safety and time of us and our family during our most recent auto claim with GEICO. We filed a claim or a damage to our car that we believe occurred by an act of nature. There were many issues that made us really frustrated and disappointed. GEICO spent almost 10 days inspecting the car and investigating the claim because a change in the policy deductible that was made two to three weeks prior to the incident. After wasting 10 days they first suggested examination under oath to be scheduled almost 25 days after we filed our claim. We were not still clear why exactly GEICO investigators were intending to examine under oath, despite the fact that we already answered all of the questions their investigators asked us in a recorded (and un-recorded) lines multiple time.
We were asked the same questions repeatedly, and every time we patiently answered all of the questions with the best of our knowledge. We spent significant amount of time with their investigators on the phone to ensure that we provide whatever reasonable information they require. But unfortunately, they were very unreasonable, irresponsible to our safety and time, (and sometimes very disrespectful to us) and failed to provide any reasonable explanation for why examination under oath is necessary given the fact that we thoroughly answered all of their questions to the best of our knowledge, and we had nothing else to add. They should have been able to determine how and when the incident occurred.
It looks like GEICO has a very convoluted system and their team does not even know what the process is and how they should handle our claim or maybe they systematically mistreat their customers this way to evade from their responsibility to provide service to their customers when they are in need. Especially, their investigators and inspectors did not pay any attention to our concerns and frustration about the fact that we need our car to be repaired as soon as possible because it is not safe to drive a car with a broken windshield. This is a human safety issue and GEICO team had to take it very seriously. The proposed timeline of additional 15 day (on top of the 10 day they have spent) for just moving to the next step (examination under oath) was not reasonable for us, as our vehicle was not safe to drive because of the broken windshield. It had to be repaired as soon as possible to be safely operational.
This was in addition to the fact that this vehicle is leased, and our lease contract expires soon and we need to return the car. Then finally, after our numerous follow-ups and calls to multiple departments, they totally changed their decision and told us over the phone that examination under oath is no longer required and they will apply our old deductible because they believe there were no storm during the first three weeks of July in the area we drove our vehicle. However, there were reported storms in that area in that time frame. GEICO did not provide any further explanation or notification on why they applied our old deductible when there were reported storms in the timeframe that our vehicle may have been impacted and what evidence they used as the basis of their decision to apply our old deductible. GEICO has done everything in their power to not cover the damage to our car that should have been covered under our contract with them.
Our other concerns include: The broken windshield has not been reflected on the inspection report they provided to us even though we specifically pointed it out to the inspector on day 1. After 10 days GEICO suggested to file a new claim. The broken windshield is even visible in the pictures enclosed to the inspection report from the vehicle inspection on day 1. Also, in the inspection report our deductible is low, but they increased it with no formal and reasonable explanation. We’ve called GEICO several time. When agents on the phone connected us to the related people in different departments, they didn’t even bother to pick up the phone and when we left voice mails, and most of them did not even return our numerous calls.

GEICO is the only insurance company I know of that offers mechanical breakdown as part of the policy for new cars. It duplicates what is there during the initial warranty but is so low cost that if you plan to keep the car past the warranty period, it just makes sense. I never thought I'd need it, but the sensors on my Mercedes went out after the term of the warranty. The cost of the mechanical breakdown came to under $100 per year with a $250 deductible. The cost of the sensor replacement would have been about $1800 without this feature of the policy. Work was done at the dealership and my service rep indicated no problem with labor rate or anything else. The work was approved faster than either of us expected.
Customer Service was great. Although I (fortunately) have never needed to claim anything other than this and glass repair, I'm sure the experience for any repairs would be equally as easy. The premium has been less or equal to any quotes I've gotten for comparable coverage (minus the mechanical breakdown). In short, I'm a happy camper.

GEICO is using CCC One software is designed to keep claim values down by artificially reducing all relevant factors while ignoring others. CCC One is not a qualified dealer or appraiser, they markets itself to insurance companies (85%) by promising to reduce the cost of total loss settlements. The reports allegedly improperly determine car values based on none-existing comparable vehicles and make a series of arbitrary and unexplained adjustments to the total loss vehicle ACV calculation that ultimately result in lowball settlements amount offer to claimant from GEICO.
• Lied about average miles driven per year per vehicle in state of MN
• Excluded vehicle’s luxury trim and optional accessories in dollar adjustments on the report
• Made up bogus comparable data (old/non existed) and sources (no link/carfax/images/KBB/NADA/Edmunds) as fact.
• Assumed claimant purchase replacement from private party or whole sale instead of car dealer with lowball amount.
• Assumed vehicle sell at car dealerships or private party always better condition than claimant's totaled loss vehicle - prep fees deduction
• Deducted $1,290 for vehicle condition without any physical inspection• Did not include amounts for title transfer, tag transfer, or taxes to replace vehicle
• Unfair mileage dollar credit/deduct adjustment:
1) Plus mileage credit ~$0.0210/mile to claimant,
2) Minus mileage deduct ~$0.0650/mile to claimant.
Example of 10,000 miles different:+10,000 miles => Credit ~$210.00 to claimant
-10,000 miles => deduct ~$650.00 from claimant.
(Note GEICO made ~$0.0440 per mile=> ~$440.00)
I reviewed and spotted about 50 bogus/flaws/misled on CCC One Evaluation Report and that GEICO is using to offer settlement amount. This is really bad deal for policyholders and claimants. I submitted a complaint with MN Department of Commerce for them to review and tracking of these kinds of practices. Please do the same if you are experiencing the same lowball settlement.
I have 2 desired resolutions for this review:1) Obtain settlement amount that I able to find and replace my totaled loss vehicle.
2) To help policyholders and claimants by investigate CCC IS and GEICO business practices and have lawmaker regulate them in Minnesota or nationwide if needed.
Good luck to us all policyholders and claimants!

I have been with GEICO for over 20 years. Originally I stayed with them as I could get coverage no matter where I went in the military. After retirement I found that I did not loose any discounts and they helped with locating new discounts that I am eligible for. Love that they still cover my daughters when they decide to come visit from out of state without me having to add them back onto policy for the couple of days they are visiting.

I’ve checked out almost every auto insurance company and GEICO offered the best price for the coverage I needed. I like that during this trying time they offered discounts on my policy. The service representatives have also been very helpful.

I have been insured with Geico for nine years. Never late or missed payments. I received the COVID 19 Give Back Credit of $348 in June 2020. They also raised my rates once again upon renewal starting July 19th 2020 so I decided to shop around for better rates. I did not renew my policy with Geico at the end of the six month policy. Geico then reversed my give back credit and billed me for $348! I was insured with them the entire six months and deserved the credit which was applied to my last monthly payment in June. I should owe them nothing!

So I had Progressive before I switched to Geico. Progressive had GAP coverage as part of my policy. I was nearing the end my my progressive policy and started shopping around. Geico offered 400 DOLLARS less than progressive, and I was ecstatic. After I started my policy, about two weeks later, a family member bought a new car and we were talking about it. She mentioned GAP, and then I realized I didn't add GAP to my Geico policy. And then I found out Geico does not offer GAP...and then a month later I got into an accident.
Though the accident wasn't my fault, it was my fault for not even thinking about GAP insurance when switching policies. However, Geico should mention when you shop around THAT THEY DON'T OFFER GAP. Put it in big letters when you are making your policy with Geico. It blew my mind that an insurance giant like Geico doesn't offer GAP. Every other major insurance company offers it, but not Geico. Maybe that's why they say "Save 15%" because that 15% extra you're paying with another insurer is the GAP coverage, lmao.

I live in Michigan and have not been able to access my online policy information on the mobile app or the web page for about two months and when I call them they tell me it's because of the state I live in and they have no clue when it will be fixed... I guess it means I can't take advantage of the new insurance laws since they are keeping me locked out... I reported them to B.B.B. and a local media station.

I was rear-ended by a Geico client and my car was totaled and I had a back and neck injury but Geico refused to open a medical claim for me. I was treated unfairly and I feel it's because I'm a minority. Jeremy ** in the claims department was very rude to me although it was their client's fault and she admitted she ran into me while I was sitting at the red light. After the accident she immediately called Geico and admitted fault and she expected them to handle it. It was in the evening and traffic was high. I wanted to get home and didn't call the police and that was my mistake but I did later file a police report. Beware of Geico. They don't want to pay for injuries that their clients cause. I had to sue their client in small claims court to get a judgement for my medical bills. Their commercials are cute but don't be fooled. They will take advantage of you. Always contact an attorney. Never go it alone. You will lose miserably.

I was involved in a car accident. Geico didn't investigate or do anything to protect me. The other driver was at fault not just by my account but also the witnesses on scene. She later lied and sued me, I was given paperwork stating she was in need of physical therapy and chiropractic help amongst other things. Yet twice she served me in the drive thru. I let my adjuster know and her response was, "Well everyone needs to work." Usually injured people take time off or get disability but not here. Then I received a letter from an unknown insurance company saying that there was a fraudulent claim made and that it was now closed. So I called them only to find out that the girls mother tried to sue me as well stating that she was injured, even though she WAS NOT in the car.
I gave all this information to my adjuster but still she did nothing. I finally got fed up and called my adjuster out on the fact that Geico hasn't done anything to protect me and her answer was: "What do you expect, you have bottom of the barrel insurance." I was appalled. I had never had any type of accident or tickets nothing and was paying almost 200 a month and I was considered bottom of the barrel?? I have no words for this crappy insurance company. They paid the girl out, case closed. UNTIL her lawyer stated she needed more money due to the extent of her injuries, geico paid the entire amount. This literally ruined so much in my life. She lied and got paid, well at that. I was honest, followed the rules and got screwed, thanks to Geico.

I had a car accident in 2018. I was not guilty nor I had a police ticket, I have the police report that clearly shows the driver who was guilty, not me. Geico added to this accident a car that was in my residence parked in the moment of the collision and now, they are reporting the same accident twice the same date. Last year I was trying to obtain a new auto policy and I was informed that my insurance costs raised because Geico reported me as guilty of the accident, then since that date I'm paying additional costs thanks to Geico for a car that was not in the accident and for being guilty as per its opinion. This is abusive to harm an innocent person that was correctly driving as per the police report.
I always drive carefully and I have never being guilty of any accident. We add to this abuse of Geico that has been done against a person over 60 years who fights against cancer and had to pay high insurance costs during 2 years. This insurance companies have to be reviewed and it has to be unlawful to report a driver information different from the police report with the objective to receive more money with false statements. Recommendation: IF you pay GEICO, NO ONE can hit you in the road, or have a COLLISION WHERE you ARE INNOCENT, BECAUSE ANYWAY YOU will PAY for that.

From the minute I bought my first GEICO Auto Policy and Renter's Policy, I have had an incredible experience. My car was totaled, in June, 2020, and GEICO took care of everything for me. We live in Arizona, and we are currently in a COVID-19 mess!!! GEICO literally let me do everything from home. I was able to pick up my rental with no "human contact." After everything was resolved, I went on the GEICO Car Buying Service and found my new car. Bought that through Carvana and now I am the proud owner of a 2018 Toyota Rav4. Again, I was able to do EVERYTHING with Carvana from my home. Of course I purchased my new auto policy from GEICO!! Trust me--this company is absolutely amazing!!

Every agent tells you something else and you get no guidance when you're in an accident. They discourage you from getting a police report. Being very neg saying the cops won’t show up. Then if you need an attorney they ask for a police report. They don’t do a thorough investigation in accidents. Then they raise your rates so everyone lies. Dashcam would be great to have.
