The GEICO is focused on "slamming" the customer who simply call just to get a quote only!!! I just called in to see the feasibility of adding my cousin to our policy and got slammed by the agent name Lisa... This is called “slamming” – especially someone simply called in to get a quote only and the GEICO agent Lisa forcefully added this driver in our policy; even her manager knowing the fact would not do anything about it - this is truly a ridiculous system/process. I’m requesting high level Geico leaderships' attention to this; I truly called in to get a quote only, and a driver is being forcefully added to our policy. Now I’m being asked to signs in NDE!!! What an oppression!

On 05/31/18, I was hit by one of your insured. She was sitting at the stop sign on the OTHER SIDE of the street. Meaning she would have to adhere to traffic on her side as well as mine. Once I passed her out of nowhere my car is hit and I spun into the opposite side of the street into traffic and stopped by head on collision with the bridge. THANKFULLY I didn't go over the bridge or I wouldn't be typing. However, your insured got out of her car and stated "Omg this is so embarrassing, I didn't see you, this is like my third wreck".
I contacted GEICO in hopes of resulting this claim and they stated that their insured already completed her turn and I HIT HER. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? MY CAR IS NOT DRIVE-ABLE. I HAD TO GET IT TOWED TO MY HOUSE. IT'S TOTALED. She drove off the scene and even asked if I needed a ride home. Now they're trying to deny it again after I contacted a lawyer and at this point we will have to go to court. Thanks for making my life so much more difficult at the roughest time. How worse of a insurance company can you be?

I have GEICO insurance for New York policy. Just liability I was paying $2000 a year, my policy was due to expire June 24. I had send them a check for thousand $1018 in advance however two days before the policy was due to expired and I canceled it because I found a better insurance company for lot less. I call guy: next up for the refund of the $1018, I was told that I was only going to be refunded $900 because I called in and asked about a different address. GEICO is ripping me off almost $100 and refuses to send me my refund check is been a month now. This is thievery. I am a veteran and I'm so disgusted with GEICO insurance. Companies like them they lied to our people and veterans for the sake of stealing the money.

Have been a Geico insured for 7 years. Never had any accidents other than a couple of minor claims for a scratch to the front spoiler with the sidewalk as I moved my car and a dent to my door caused by a careless driver who opened their door in my car while it was parked unoccupied. Since the deductible was more than the damages for one claim and the other claim was just going to pay me $40 after the deductible was applied, I requested that both of these minor claims be closed since I would not pursue them.
Then, I had a no-fault accident in February two weeks after having gotten my new car. I was injured and had over $10K worth of damages. After only 6 weeks (2 of which I didn’t treat because I had had surgery and was recovering) of very conservative chiropractic treatment 3 times a week and still experiencing pain, and having disc hernia toons in my lower back that have been aggravated by the hard impact, Geico set me up for an independent medical examination and the doctor terminated my chiropractor treatment as not being reasonable since according to him, I had reached an endpoint in treatment. This only left me with the option to do treatment with a pain doctor that involved more invasive treatment involving epidural injections or prescribed pain meds – both options that I didn’t want, but had to concede to since I’m still in pain.
Not only did they do this, next thing you know, I got my policy renewal notice a couple of days ago and my premium has gone from $340 to $490 for 2 cars and two adult drivers with no accidents or moving violations! When I called to find out why, I was told that they had done an underwriting review and based on my driving record, they had made an adjustment. I asked what driving record since I haven’t had any accidents and the one that I had in February wasn’t my fault. I was told that regardless of fault, there were three claims reported in the last three years and an adjustment had been made. Additionally, we have two 2018 Lexus - an IS 350 and an RX 350 and because they are new vehicles, there isn’t enough data for them to rate their performance therefore they have to rate them higher and all these factors lead to a $1000 adjustment to my 6-month policy!
I was given the option to increase my deductibles to $1000, reduce my liability to 15/30/15 from 50/100/50 and get PIP without loss wages coverage. Basically getting crappy coverage to reduce my monthly to $370. I find it very unfair to be treated like this by Geico after 7 years of no claims or accidents. I feel disappointed and betrayed by my insurance company. I now have had to go look for coverage elsewhere and found the same coverage that I currently have will be $370 with The Hartford. Sad that Geico treats its loyal customers this way and gives better rates to new customers who potentially pose a higher liability.

I have change cars 3 times this years due to breakdowns. Finally me and my significant other went to a car dealership. Mind you our month insurance bill is liability only $116. I have been with GEICO 8 years. So we get the new car and GEICO quoted me 240 a month. So I went on thinking it was just 240 a month. I recently check the bill that is due next month and it was quoted $644 a month.
I contacted GEICO and here was their reason: Because you were billed your next bill the day you bought your new car and in order for you to be covered on the new policy you must finish paying your old policy from your old vehicle. The old vehicle I had traded in to get the new vehicle. They said they were going to send me information on it thru email which I have yet to see. I have bought many cars over the past few months and I have never had to finish paying the policy for the past vehicle I have gotten rid of until now. I am currently looking for a better insurance company.

I we also own the Cleaning Smith's Omaha 7200 Decatur Omaha Nebraska and 14906 Olive St. Omaha Nebraska. We have commercial insurance all 12 2015 and just spoke with our commercial insurance company and he asked me (WHY) the tools 800. +129.00 + 79.00 and 595.00 laptop and a 99.00 radar detector is that worth your license? He was just wondering??? He told me record call is the best app I've got. The first call I made to Geico Insurance to change my coverage and where he told me just like my policy says!!! Really I'm not trying to be a ** but I'm a good paying customer.
Just cause I'm pissed and your employees misrepresentation from the first call I made yesterday how you guys change when it comes to a claim. And if I didn't have record a call I would never be able to provide you with this copy! Now you can rip all your other customers but I work hard for my money and been spending it with Geico too long to be treated like this. Just thinks if you keep doing this there won't be customers. I can control only me if I been here this long. I wasn't out to rip Geico off again. My insurance company said they will flag you if you just open a insurance policy and then have a big claim but you'll be able to see this. I'm so tired of this... so I'm going to post this on all our website. Who really is the criminal just wanted to know! Have a wonderful Christmas.
I also would love to tell you about roadside assistance. I've called them 3 times 2 times after about 5 to 9 hours later they finally show up. We broke down at 215 am. I called. They said they would have someone come out in 1 He. I call them at 345. They said someone's on his way be there any time. At 630 I called again. They said they had to call some else. At 9 am the tow truck shows up and said they only have enough room for one person so I called for a ride. No one came so I had to walk about 3 miles.
This has been one lie after another so if you really want a nightmare call them. They will lie and promise you everything under the sun and turn out ripping you all. Feel free to contact me at **. I have a very good insurance company for you and get the app record CALL. By all means copy and paste to every website. People have to know about this. Mike's number is ** and he'll just rip you off. Geico poor claim handling - A Geico insured driver hit my parked vehicle - causing major damage to my door frame - almost killing me. I was standing between the door and the car when the Geico insured car came flying in a 25 mph zone. Geico refunded to take liability of the accident. Driver was not paying attention to the road and hit my car without slowing down or paying attention to road.

This company is a total organized SCAM!!! They make promises and never follow them or have record of ever stating them. The rates CONSTANTLY go up!!! They always have some clause that they make you aware of when they ** up... I was insured with them over 2 years. I ended up changing banks 3 months ago. I had been paying my insurance with my new card information for the past 3 months... Suddenly, out of the blue today I check my Geico app for my insurance info for work purposes and I can no longer sign into my acct. I call Geico to see what the issue was and find out I can't sign in because my acct. was canceled on June 25!!!
It was explained to me that it was due to the fact that they pulled on my old bank acct. on the 25th of June. I asked why? Because I had previously set up payment arrangements with a CSR by the name of Sara on June 19th, informing Geico that I needed a extension to the 30th of June due to financial difficulties, it was to my understanding that the request was granted by Geico CSR and I was good to make payment on June 30th... (And I did)... The payment was still received and processed on June 30th by Geico, that I paid out of my new fully funded bank acct... (And did I mention I was able to go in the app on the 30th which proved my insurance was still not canceled by the 25th because I wouldn't have been able to get in the acct... and of course they have a reason/excuse for every little thing I'm asking and calling them out on.)
Long story short they told me they canceled my acct. due to no funds in my acct (old one that hadn't been used in 3 months) at the time they did a "Authorized" transaction and that they did also accept my payment on the 30th and would not return it due to my policy being canceled days earlier... They said I could get $10 returned to me and I would owe $150.00 today to reopen a new acct. I have talked with my bank about the issue and it will be handled. Geico is a total Bust!!! Run!!!

GEICO added a policy against my clearly expressed wishes. I called for a quote and instead ended up with a new policy. When asked to remove the extra driver (who was insured under another policy), GEICO refused. When I refused to pay for the unwanted new portion of the policy that I never requested, GEICO reported me to the MVA as having an uninsured driver living in my house.
To be clear: A. The driver was and is insured, just not with GEICO, and GEICO knew the other driver was insured. B. When was GEICO given the authority to act as law enforcement? I'm now receiving a substantial bill and threats of a suspended registration because of GEICO's false claims. The MVA never made any attempt to verify GEICO's claims and says any correction to the record has to come from GEICO! C. GEICO cancelled the policy I did have with them and refuses to refund any money, even though I prepaid for six months coverage. GEICO - the new Wells Fargo. Steer clear.

I recently purchased a new vehicle and wanted to add it to my current GEICO auto policy. I used the "add a vehicle" online. One of the options was "Ride Share". My wife and I had discussed the possibility of this so I selected it as an option to see how it would affect my rates. Even though this was an option to select GEICO returned a notification that I could not add my vehicle at that time. So I went back through the process and did not opt for rideshare and added my new car to my policy. The next day (Monday) I called and spoke to an agent about it. She simply said that Geico was not currently extending policies with rideshare in my area and that I would either have to ask about it again later, or look for an alternate insurance company.
The next day I received an email from GEICO stating I was no longer insurable and that my policy was being dropped. That they were giving me a fair amount of notice so that I could shop for other insurance. This was not a request for information and they clearly had no motivation for retention. I called for clarification and the reason was because I inquired about Rideshare. Not because I was actually driving for a rideshare company - Based on the insurance inquiry alone, They were going to drop my insurance. Then they proceeded to tell me that I could go to UBER (whom I have no affiliation) and get a letter from UBER stating that I am not a driver. After about 10 min of trying to find an UBER phone number online (which does not exist to my knowledge) I finally decided it would be easier to find the number of another Insurance company.
This was by far the worst customer experience I have ever had with an insurance provider. To be dropped for an inquiry is unbelievable, and then to essentially be called a liar and have to prove that I do not drive for UBER is unreal. If they are going to treat us this poorly based on a quote inquiry - I would hate to see how I would be treated if we had a real problem and needed their help. Stay away from GEICO.

After driving and having car insurance for over 40 years, my last 3 years insured with Geico have been the worst nightmare you could believe. They perform actions on their own, and when you call them to question them on it, you are told that you will get a call back from the so-called Dept. where it is being escalated to. After 8 calls over an 18 month period, I have yet to receive one call back. They are nothing but wholesale car insurance with the worst damn service I have ever seen in my life. You can be sure if you are tardy with a payment, you will be telephoned/emailed/U.S. Posted.
Anybody who considers going to Geico should only pray to the Powers that be that they never have any type of accident because at that crucial time when you need them, they will drop the ball every single time with the lamest of excuses. Everything they do is in their interest of cost effectiveness, because they know they will just raise your premiums, and there isn't a thing you can do about it, unless you drop them like a cancer the way I did.

I noticed mechanical breakdown (MBI) insurance was "packed" into my auto policy recently after the renewal was issued. I made no such election. This is a gigantic fraud if they are packing this into their 15 million auto policies. They also lie about it on the telephone saying "You requested it but do not remember?" I asked them "How" and they said, "You must have checked the box to add the coverage." I responded, "like hell." They refunded the last two years of fraudulent bill packing.
Everyone needs to review their bills and file a complaint with their state insurance department so they may fine Geico or not allow them to sell fraudulent policies in the state. Also, I called Geico for a home insurance quote and was given a $1400 quote, with the multi-policy discount. Progressive insurance got me homeowners insurance for $815 annually! Oh yeah, my roommate also had 41 bucks packed into his policy for 18 months he had not requested. Doubt this is a coincidence.

The car is worth $15,000 and after their repair now worth $2,000. Just started using Geico. I will be switching after this experience. It took them a month and a complaint about the rental which is still not paid. The adjuster took crappy pics of the car so you can't see the damage that the body shop did. I am in a total limbo with GEICO. I let my son use my car, and he had an accident. I did not have collision on it and they claim it was a collision as he did hit a street sign going off the road. However, he was getting off the road, and panicking, as he was getting sick. He did not hit the sign purposely. The car caught fire because it landed in an area of very high and dry grass. Geico is claiming this is a collision and demanding an accident report, and in the meantime the shell of the car is at the pound, garnering daily storage fees while Geico decides whether this is considered a collision or NOT. I am going insane and just want the doggone tow and impound fee paid. I am told to WAIT until they can verify that is was a collision or NOT, and in the meantime I sit and collect storage fees.
I was given a very rude adjuster, who just kept insisting all last week (the accident happened on a Saturday) that I must get a police report, when all the police have is a tow report! The Charlotte County Sheriff's office says it was NOT a collision while Geico, today, tells me that it IS a collision due to a street sign being flattened when he went off the road... but he did NOT go off the road because he hit the street sign! He was simply getting ill and wanted to park the car and STOP as he was getting into a residential area.
I have called the CCSO about ten times and they are not producing the report that Geico wants, so I sit and WAIT and accrue storage fees. I am in a total limbo I guess thanks to the definition of a collision!!! It is a mess. I lost my car and items in it, and don't care about that. Can anyone tell me the definition of a collision as that makes a great deal of difference to Geico when something like this happens. Charlotte County Sheriff says no collision and Geico says COLLISION. Help me out. This is insanity. I lost a car, yes, and many items in it... a smart phone, glasses, groceries, but all I want is the doggone tow yard paid off and storage charges stopped. Geico is really being horrid here.

I have had Geico Insurance for almost 20 years and had very little or minor reimbursement experience with them until now. If you have a minor reimbursement, Geico is good to have as your policy. However, things change if you need major reimbursement. I had my windshield repair last week and was provided with a list of vendors to select. Since I have an X5, I have decided to go with the dealership (it is in the list of vendors). When I submitted my claim of almost $2K, Geico only reimbursed $789.61, claiming that this is their allowance.
They have never communicated with me on this and I felt that they would want to go with their preferred vendor. This is fine if you have an old beat car with no technology on your windshield. I have given them a one star rating for the fact that Geico is not a policy to have if you have any car beyond the luxury model of Lexus. No one has communicated with me on this policy as well. Another reason why insurance industry is a booming industry given the kind of policy they hold against the consumers.

I bought my 2014 Nissan Altima in April 2017. It is a rebuilt title but the car runs perfectly. Never had an issue until my son was hit on 2/6/18 by an unlicensed driver in a landscaping truck. At the scene, the car failed to start and was towed to the body shop. The original claim was great; a rental car was secured and the repairs done and paid for. The battery was replaced to fix the starting problem.
A week later the car failed to start again. It was returned to a mechanic and the battery terminal was replaced. Same thing a few days later. It was towed back and another cable was replaced. Same thing a few days later. This time the adjuster advised the issue was unrelated to the accident and no further repairs or rental car would be covered. I rented a car for 7 weeks while the car sat for days on end waiting for them to figure out the issue. I was finally told it was some gearbox. I decided to then take it to where I bought it and see if they could fix it under the warranty that expired in April during all this.
Again, the car sat for 10 days and ran perfectly so I brought it home and same thing a day or 2 later; would not start. Took it back and the key FOB was reprogrammed. Same thing a few days later. The mechanic suggested I take it to a Nissan dealer. On June 7, 2018 I did just that and as of today June 22, 2018 the car is still there. Geico denied the claim even though the Nissan adviser and technician have said it's undoubtedly due to the accident.
Initially the adjuster told me this was a problem with Nissan cars and the repairs needed were in the front and my car was not damaged in the front during the accident (see photos). Then the adjuster told me the car was a rental car, in a flood, a fire and a previous accident and the issues with it starting up are coincidence; that it is not due to the accident of 2/6/18. I have asked for all this in writing and nothing. On 6/20/18 I called Geico and asked for an update and was told the 2nd inspection of the vehicle was canceled because Nissan confirmed this was not due to an accident. On 6/21/18 I called Nissan and the adviser said no one from Geico was there on 6/20/18; we did a conference call with Geico and the story changed once again; the rep said the 2nd inspection was cancelled because the first adjuster denied the claim there was no reason for another inspection.
Today 6/22/18 Nissan informs me another Geico adjuster came out and spent 2 hours there and disappeared without saying a word. Another weekend without a car... Meanwhile, I am paying insurance on a car that hasn't been driven since 2/6/18 and looks like I am out the $797 in repairs and the $986 I paid in rental cars on my own.

I reported a claim since my car hit the fallen rocks so both wheel and tire of the front right needs to be replaced. The claim was transferred to several damage adjusters (from Bill to Scott and finally to Joe **) which took almost a week. And Joe went to inspect the car and just tried to lower the price for ordering and replacing the wheel and tire so it would be lower than my 1000 deductible limit. The cost reported by the workshop to replace the wheel and tire with the types that match my car and are same as the other three tires would cost more than 1000 including the labor fee. But this guy, Joe, he reported the estimate summary to $490 by recommending me the tires and wheels that does not even match the color of my original wheel!!!
And when I asked him what the factory and brand the tire is, he said he is not familiar with that, he didn't know what exactly it is! That's so ridiculous and is that how the GEICO's damage adjuster works??? I couldn't believe that's what a damage adjuster said. How could you send a person that doesn't care about fixing the car, doesn't care about if the cheap one would cause any problems, doesn't care about my safety but just want to recommend the tires and wheels that's cheap enough to escape from 1000 deductible limit? GEICO really disappointed me!!!
I think what I am asking for makes sense right? I just want to replace the tire and wheel with the same one as the other three and I will pay for 1000 and Geico pay for the rest, I didn't ask for more that! That's what it is based on my auto insurance. And this guy now even didn't answer my call. I called the GEICO service several times trying to contact him or at least send another adjuster to inspect the situation and the service person just said, “You have to contact him”. However, I had a question and decided to call to verify a couple of items... BIG MISTAKE! I spoke with Romain (yes, like the lettuce) and received confirmation that the quote was correct. In fact, I was told that my future payments were $66.89/month, but would be reduced to $62.00 if I authorize direct payment through my checking account. I agreed to this and two days later (today) I noticed that Geico took $203.03 from my checking. I immediately log in to my Geico account and noticed that in additions to the money they had taken from my checking account, there was another payment due in July for $188.17.
I called Geico to discover that my policy, which was originally quoted at $821/year, would now cost me $2,301.16. Of course, Denise at Geico had no idea what happened and could not explain the exorbitant cost that I was being charged. Keep in mind that policy was to cover, one car - a 2017 Subaru Outback (2.5-liter engine) and two drivers (67 & 68 years old). Obviously, I canceled the policy immediately... Be aware of fast-talking Geico sales reps and make sure that you review your checking account (or better yet do not trust them with checking information) and make sure to visit your account online to ensure that what they promised you on the phone is indeed the policy and price you understood you were getting.

I have been with Geico for years and even though we've never had accidents or violations our rates kept steadily increasing. Not a big deal. However, when we had to file a claim due to a weather related incident we haven't had a great experience at all. They actually wanted us to drive the vehicle from our country home to town with a broken windshield that was about to collapse and airbag about to deploy! Then we never could get ahold of the adjuster or supervisor. When I'd call the 800 number they couldn't even reach them. Every day I was left without answers and ended up getting told what pictures to take to help the process. Basically doing the adjuster's job! HORRIBLE SERVICE. Only one time when I called did I feel like someone really tried to help me, but otherwise horrible service. Once my claim is done so am I!

I have used GEICO for years. I am working with them now for a car purchase. They have been very knowledgeable and patient. The car dealer is another story. I think I experienced bait and switch. They have a policy in place for me. Now I gave them another VIN number for a more expensive car. If this doesn't test drive well tomorrow or the bank doesn't like the deal for some reason, they will refund all my money for this paid six-month policy. How many companies would be so accommodating? You also can get your other insurances through them at a great discount. For well over fifteen years I have sent them many satisfied customers from my experience.

I had my car insurance with GEICO for more than 4 years. I did not realize HOW TERRIBLE & HORRIBLE service of their claim department until this week. I hope my experiences with GEICO can help other people not becoming the insurance's victim like me. :( This Monday I was driving my car on San Marcos Blvd in San Marcos. Suddenly the car in front of me STOPPED hardly and I stopped very hardly too. Maybe the car in front of me carrying baggage in the trunk so the front car felt my car collided with her car. So we pulled over and inspected the cars and no damage was found (Not even a scratch)!!!
However my insurance company, Geico, determined the collision was my fault!!! Because the driver of front car was working for Geico!!! So ridiculous… Anyone who is reading my review about GEICO, watch out... Maybe their premium is cheaper than Allstate, State Farm, Triple-A, Progressive but their service is horrible and not responsible for their clients. If you are with GEICO be prepared for the nightmare if someday you are involved in car accident.

I am very dissatisfied at the lack of help from Geico's Roadside Assistance Service. I had a tire blow out on my way to work this morning @ 7:40 am. In the moment, I was happy that I have roadside assistance. I pulled out my ID card and called in for help. I was directed to download the Geico App for faster service. I quickly downloaded the app, which got stuck on the main screen twice. 20 minutes later I gave up on that option. I then called the 1800 number. I spoke with a representative. Who advised after 20-30 minutes that she was unable to assist me. She further advised that there were not any providers nor non-providers in the area that we able to come to my rescue. She advised me to find help on my own, then submit the invoice to the ERS Department for reimbursement.
So here I am stuck on the side of a major highway (840 west mile marker 45) with semi trucks flying by at 80 miles per hour left without any help from Geico’s Roadside Assistance! This was a totally unacceptable experience with your company! I was forced to call 911 for assistance from the local law enforcement agencies. We recently had a snow storm and my vehicle was stuck in the mud. The Lady called Geico before I had a chance and Lied about the accident. She said I backed into her. They believed her instead of me the policyholder. Since then they have raised my premium twice a total of $30.00 thirty each time. I have had no tickets. Premium is always paid on time. This seems very unfair. They put this on the insurance information hotline for all insurance companies to see, because of this I cannot get a lower rate at any other company. I was 68 when this happened. This without a doubt the worst insurance company I have ever come across. We have been customers of theirs for 10 years. While sitting stopped at a red light behind about 10 other cars a SUV came flying up and hit us. I looked in the rearview mirror and saw just before he hit. He was on his cell phone. Once I checked on my wife I went to check on the driver that hit us to see if he was okay. He said he was sorry. I then asked what happened. He said, "I don't know. I am sorry." A truck pulled from behind him and drove by slowly. I said, "Were you hit from behind?" He said, "I don't know." Then he suddenly said, "Oh yeah. That must have been it." I called the police. Then went to the back of his car. There was no damage to the back of his car at all. Yet the front of his car and back of ours had considerable damage. When the police officer came the man told him he must have been hit.
I walked back to the back of his vehicle and showed him. There is no damage. Then took pictures. The police officer said he had to write it up that way. I said he is lying. I did not matter. We contacted Geico at the time of the accident. We did everything right. I took pictures of all sides and the back of the car. It is clear that there is no damage. The man lied. Once everything was filed. Geico decided that the man that hit us while we were stopped at a red light and he was talking on the phone WAS NOT AT FAULT!!! Scott the adjuster supposedly on our side was horrible the entire time and very rude. His supervisor Andres his supervisor was even worse. We have 4 cars insured with them. We own our home. I own a business. Either of which thankfully are not insured by Geico and never will be.
To make this worse Geico and the police officer shared our home address with the man that hit us. We have young children. I had thought I noticed a car like his around our house which I found strange since our neighborhood is a circle. I went back and looked up the man that hit us and found he has a charge of lewd and Lascivious acts on a child under 12 on his criminal record. I could not make this up if I tried. It is all a matter of public record. GEICO WILL NOT AND DOES NOT LOOK OUT FOR YOUR BEST INTERESTS!!!

I had to go through a Geico claim after my glass got cracked due to a stone off the highway. It was for a BMW 2016. They mentioned to me too that it's an easy process. Just let us know who we are getting it repaired by and that they will cut us a check once the repair was done. I had to take it to the BMW dealership since that was a specialized windshield that BMW repairs. Upon receiving the repair bill $1600 I submitted it to Geico and Geico only cuts a check for $1100. I was livid when I saw this as this would mean that I have to come up with 500 + the deductible of 100 to pay these crooks.
They specifically mentioned that they will cover but that is not what happened eventually. It is a very sad situation and I am thoroughly disappointed in their practices. I have been with Geico over 16 years and never have I had to pay anything out of pocket during an accidental repair other than the deductible. For a single-driver policy, it's pretty much the cheapest you can get. I pay about $50 a month for full coverage on a 06 Toyota Corolla. Although I'm not terribly upset with Geico, they really upset me when it came to my accident. My coverage allots a Rental Reimbursement of $30/day up to $900. However, my claims person said they could only get me a rental for 5 to 10 days. It was like pulling teeth extending the rental. They ended up only giving me 9 days (or 7 if you don't include the first day and the day I dropped it off).
On top of that, they (Enterprise) charged my personal credit card $76.10 for a remaining balance! I had to contact claims and get them to send me a refund check, which they did, but what a hassle. All in all, I ended up purchasing a car I dislike because I felt so rushed to make a decision and not having any transportation to and from work (being without a rental). You get what you pay for with Geico. I suppose it's cheap, but you're just a number to them.

Two of my vehicles suffered identical hail damage covered under a GEICO policy. Due to the status of working away from home by myself, I requested an adjuster to come out to my apartment to view both vehicles. Nevertheless, Geico set up at Caliber Collision in College Station, Texas to adjust vehicles by appointment. First vehicle appointment scheduled for thirty minutes lasted beyond an hour and a half in which I lost time from work due to the Geico's emailed address for Caliber Collision and Google maps location. The second vehicle appointment, I scheduled for Saturday on my day off work. Both processes involved filling out paperwork including a form from the business of Caliber Collision in regards to an individual's desire to have their vehicle repaired there or not.
Although the Geico rep informed me the owner of vehicles may choose their place of repair, I felt pressure and thought these words were misleading. Especially since I did not see anyone else from any other vehicle repair business on the premises having their paperwork filled out. After scheduling repair appointments at another business, I encountered a supplemental denial on my second claim by a Geico adjuster. Go figure. The place of business informed the Geico representative to contact me about their denial. Consequently, I never received an email or phone call from this claims adjuster. Furthermore, it took an Act of Congress to reach the original surveyor; I called 800 number, used Geico app message center, emailed, and texted before I received a message from him sent directly to my video voice mailbox.
Finally, after requesting an audible voice call from him by text, I received a voice phone call; the repair shop I chose also emailed him and received no response. Needless to say, I'm very upset but thankful to have encountered all these Geico events during hail damage claims. I can not imagine what type of issues my family may have encountered from a collision involving bodily injury. As a result, on June 4, 2018, I informed Geico of having no plans to renew my policy on June 13, 2018. I had Geico for a year and everything SEEMED fine. Recently I added a third car to the policy. The rep took out my second car from the policy without my authorization. When I found out, I called to ask why my 2nd car was taken out of the policy this month. The Geico rep added the car back on the policy (for 12 minutes my second car had coverage) but then said I would be charged $600 next month since they backdated my coverage charge but did not waive the coverage charge due to their error. The rep denied the error that my second vehicle was ever taken out of the insurance.
The rep told me well if I had been in an accident, they would have covered my second vehicle even though it was not listed on the policy. (Yeah right!) I cancelled the policy and was told my last bill would be mailed out and not charged to my account. I wake up this morning and find a charge of $219. When I called the rep, she denied that I was told I would get my last bill mailed and refused a refund. The month after that my insurance was canceled. They sent me a notice stating my automatic payment for the month before had been returned and that I needed to pay in full. I received another bill a week later that said I needed to pay two months and a new deposit to restart my policy.
I called and spoke with an agent to find out if I was covered or not. She stated that I wasn't and that the only way was to pay two months "back payments" and a new deposit. How can I owe you two months of payment when only had insurance one month? Partly our fault but an inconvenience. Then I get a statement from them saying I had to pay a full amount of $2,445 in 2 weeks! Like who has that money? I called customer service and they said I was on a one pay plan. Um if that was the case then why was money automatically taken out last month??? No help. They proceed to talk to me in insurance person terms that make no sense to try to justify why I had to pay the full amount.
I’m not paying 2 grand. I don’t have that. So I ask for the monthly plan because this way I can pay on my own terms manually and not have to worry about overdraft fees. Sure but you have to pay $945 because we are “written with the state and are required to have monthly plan users pay 30 days in advance on top of their current bill”. BS! Finally I ended up just doing automatic payments with my other bank account that I know I’ll be good. But come on. I made it clear to him that I needed full coverage on the vehicle right away since I just bought the vehicle 3 months earlier.
The “inspection” itself was the woman at Geico walking around noting any little tiny ding or paint “chip” (hardly noticeable). The Geico worker was grunting “you parked in the back?” Like it was going to kill her to walk a few more feet (she had ridiculously high heels on. Lol.) Anyway, not once did she or the person I talked on the phone with before going to her say there could even be the possibility of an additional charge. Speaking to another Geico representative on the phone just now (and I had to call again today because the woman who I spoke to last night said she would call me this morning which of course didn’t happen) told me they had sent me notice in the mail of the increase amount. I haven’t received anything in the mail of course and they took the $56 out of my checking account already.
I’m lucky I didn’t overdraw my account, not knowing they were making this withdrawal. I told the guy today that they should check the phone call with the Geico rep when I paid the 1st payment, because at no time did he say there would or could be an additional charge to the 1st payment, only how much my monthly charge would be starting next month. I will be looking elsewhere for commercial insurance to drive for Lyft. Beware!

I have been with GEICO for 5 years. Always pay ahead on time the full 6 months. Safe driver for 5 years and clean record. There hasn't been a time when they keep my rate steady. Every renewal comes with a $250, $150, $78 increment for NO reason! Every time I call to have a reasonable explanation for why to jump my rates that high they give me the same robotic response: - Taxes in your state have gone up (BS), medical claims have gone up (BS), too many accidents in your state (BS). Really??? WHY would I be responsible for other people's recklessness?
Geico has no consideration nor appreciation for customers whom MADE YOU and HELP YOU to keep running your multi-billion corp. Should be a crime to charge such an astronomical amount of money for a stupid permit to drive and put your life at risk when doing it. At the time to pay a claim they play hard to PAY what you have already PAY THEM for years!! Horrible! I know insurance companies are all the same but when you have customer LOYALTY you MUST show appreciation and get real for your ridiculous rates, this should be illegal to charge that much for auto insurance!

I received an email from GEICO outlining my auto insurance payments for the next seven months. My auto insurance is up for renewal next month. The monthly payment has increased by about $75.00. This is about a 25% increase. Nothing has changed (no tickets, no accidents, no additions, no removals etc.). I called GEICO to clarify the increase, a representative said the increase was an overall insurance rate increase. I called another company and their rates are lower. My advice, call your auto insurance company one month before the renewal date, find out if there are any changes to your policy. Do not allow the insurance company to automatically renew your policy. Question any increase before renewing.

My GEICO claim experience was fast and easy. However, rate increased 100% after first claim. The premium increases compared with the risk. Technology is great but it costs too much. So I would pass on them unless it is your only option. I was able to compare different insurers and find lower premiums with better coverage. They make adjustments to your policy and send vague emails about it. Would like clarity and regulations like the mortgage application process.

I was in a hit and run accident. From the first day I treated like I was a criminal. I had to contact the Texas Department of Insurance to make them handle the liability issue in a timely manner. I adjuster came out and spent less than 8 minutes reviewing the damages (the neighborhood watch seniors gave me that intel.) on my and refused to meet with me at the car so he did not see any of the warning code lights or drive the car. I selected RMS to repair my car after reading positive reviews on Google. My car was towed to the auto shop and I was told that I would be contacted the next day. 3 days passed with no contact. I went to the shop and was not greeted and had to go around to all of the desks and introduce myself and ask where my car was. I would have moved it but Geico refused claiming I picked the shop and it had to stay.
Glenn and Ali the adjuster had discussed how to mitigate the cost affiliated with the repairs of the car. I specifically asked Glenn if he requested work to be done through Ali the Geico adjuster and he said yes and the supplements were denied. When I called Ali the Geico adjuster he pretended he never talked to Glenn, ever. My car was returned back to RMS who performed the body work correctly but when I picked up the car. They still failed the check any mechanical issues although they reset several hazard code lights on the car.
When my car was ready at RMS I received a call from Ali stating that I needed to pay for my car rental because it was past 30 days since I had the rental. I informed Ali that I have a receipt from Enterprise Rent showing that I only had the rental for 6 days and why was he yelling at me and threatening me that Geico would not cover my rental fees? He failed to answer. He continued to be aggressive telling me that no more repair will be done to my car regardless of I think it relates to the accident. Ali stated a specialist was sent to view the car while it was sent to RMS for corrective body repairs. I was not contacted by that person or asked to meet them at RMS or anything.
When I complaints about noises coming from the car these were the excuse given to me by Ali the Geico adjuster. Although in 10/2017 I had all belts, brake pads and brake related stuff and for new tires, the accident was on 1/15/2018. I am still going through medical treatment and having to deal with the trauma of being rear ended out of the blue and the stress of a harassing insurance company. After having the insurance for several years I had to file a claim against my own policy only because it was a hit and run and they treated me like poop on the bottom of their shoe. I understand that insurance is a business but when it is your own insurance the expectation is to be treated like the valued customer you are not like you're trying to take money from the piggy bank.

However with this new contract, accident forgiveness isn't allowed therefore the first accident that was forgiven is no longer forgiven and it's now calculated into my new premium. Wait? Say what? That is totally absurd!!! I'm just appalled that they will take back a reward that was given because they decided to put me in a new contract. I see why the vision nor mission statement doesn't exist... its principles and integrity are based around itself, forget the people who keep them in business. GEICO's system integrity is poor and their rates aren't as competitive as they market them to be. If you are not an "advance user" when utilizing a computer, do not establish or update coverage through GEICO online. Next, their customer service representatives in conjunction with their own server/system is not very reassuring. Either, or both may be the case. Their system may be outdated and their representatives are not equally trained in updating, modifying or getting a higher authority's opinion or ability to escalate and take additional action on the customer's behalf.
I had a self caused 1-car collision in inclement weather in 2010-11 I considered myself an advance computing user. But, two weeks before the accident, I assumed that my vehicle had full comp and collision, because I updated it online. At least I thought. So during my attempt at updating on their very difficult system to navigate changes. I found out differently when I filed a claim. I had full coverage on my older, less expensive vehicle and only liability on my later model, more expensive truck. GEICO knew they were experiencing trouble with their servers. Unfortunately, I never do a screenshot, because their system would not allow me to save changes.
Finally, what caused me to throw in the towel with GEICO was when I locked my keys in a rental vehicle when I was out-of-state. It took GEICO 3.5 hours to send a tow truck for assistance, on a bright and clear day! Moreover, they were charging us about 35% more for coverage. We never could get them to adjust our premium down for good driving. So we went with Liberty Mutual and GEICO called us one week later after terminating our policy. They told us that they can beat Liberty Mutual by at least 35%! That's the GEICO way. You can't trust their service nor their system.

The past 2 renewals my premium has gone up! I went in to change my coverage! Get less coverage for more money!!! I changed some things I was paying for to decrease my monthly payments and they say, well get back with you! No emails, no calls, no warnings. The renewal date comes up and I get charged the previous rate!! 20 dollars over the quote I'm asking about. I go in and there's documents waiting for me to sign about the new policy! No email? No warning "HEY... come sign this so you can pay the new policy price!!"
So I sign it and proceed to ask Geico about canceling the payment and charging me the price for the documents I signed! Their answer! "Nope! We're gonna start charging you those prices NEXT month. We're gonna take that extra money this month 'cause you didn't sign that until today!" I asked for that quote on the 6th and you're telling me that from the 6th to the 15th you couldn't send me an email stating I needed to go in and sign these papers!! Shame on you for not sending something and shame on you for telling me you couldn't correct this! Geico... where you pay a lot more money for a lot less coverage!

My first Geico commercial auto claim was beyond disappointing and frustrating. Geico refused to lift a finger and pay to get my car moved so I had to stick with the shop I originally had it towed to. My accident happened on Friday afternoon and I reported the accident to Geico on Saturday morning. My adjuster didn't bother to prioritize me as a customer and inspected it the following Wednesday. My shop also submitted 2 following supplements and each time it took 2 additional days for a Geico adjuster to address. Coupled with my shop's delays, this company is equally to blame for the 4 week delay it took to get my car back!
Every time I complained to Geico all they did was apologize but never offered any resolution for me. The field adjusters and their managers are also very hard to get a hold of and no one ever calls me back when I leave voicemail. This insurance company is the worst with customer service. They don't even care that I was losing money daily since I drive this car for Uber/Lyft. Fast forward 4 weeks later, I paid $135 out of pocket to fix my brake lights. The delay and the hassle I had to deal with all could have been avoided if you listened to me when I wanted it repaired SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I've been enrolled on Geico Insurance for more than 15 years. I have never failed my payments on time. They started to increase my policy since 5 or six year ago because according to them, there was a lot of fraud in South Florida. After that, they are continued increasing my policy almost every year, without a real reason, sometimes because they made a police review for all clients, sometimes because other reasons. Last year, I had an accident (It was not my fault.). I was transported to the hospital and was in emergency room around 4 or 5 hours only. The hospital bill was around $4000, and I had to pay a deductible of $1000.00. They increased my police (six month payments) around $600.00 at that time and I had to reduce my coverage, on my cars and discontinued my insurance for my truck.
On May 2018 they increased my insurance again, because my insurance premium was under review, they said. I has had to reduce my insurance car again for a PIP only, to compensate the price increased. They are not solution with this company. They do not want lost any cents. You has to pay an Insurance car only to be under the Florida Laws, but you will be responsible, and pay from your pocket if you has any accident (It does not matter if you are guilty or not.). In resume, your Geico car Insurance NEVER will lost money, unfortunately, at the end, the money always become from your pocket. Thanks!!

By a substantial amount, Geico provided the least expensive policy. I found out that they also offer first accident forgiveness with my policy; that's a nice feature, should I ever need it. Every year, I check out a few other insurance companies to make sure that I'm still getting the best bang for my buck, and Geico always comes out on top. It wasn't always that way; different insurance companies seem to offer better discounts for different situations. As it happens, I'm 58 years old (and I have an unblemished driving record) and Geico appears to favor drivers over 55, as I have been with them for three years. Maybe that will change when I turn 62, but as long as they can beat the competition, I'm sticking with them.

In May 2017 I was still adjusting to driving the vehicle. However, when taking wife to shopping mall I drove my car into a parking slot that was next to a concrete curb and scraped the corner side of my right bumper. No other cars were involved. I then contacted GEICO to file a claim. Prior to this incident, wife and I had NO accidents or driving citations. The adjuster estimated the repair work to cost $1,200.00. I took my vehicle to an independent shop and paid cash to have them do the work for much less, so GEICO didn't have to pay the $1,200.00. The only thing GEICO paid for was the rental car I drove during the repair period. Because GEICO looks at this incident as an accident, they jacked up my auto insurance premium. We should be judged accordingly, not compared to other bad drivers. I am accident free with Geico, thank God, for 10+ years and I don't see them rewarding me for a good driving status. I wish they paid more attention to good drivers. How about some type of compensation for being accident free, perhaps every 6 months? Ridiculous. Following such procedures and still be told the opposite makes no sense and diminishes the confidence of the consumer of the product they sell and dealing with the company again. The Claims agents do not know what you have compared to the in store agent that sold you the policy. That can be very frustrating to say the least.
I had an after market radio Professionally installed and presented the car and receipt to apply to my policy at the GEICO Offices the same day as the installation. The agent took pictures of the radio at the time to add it to my policy. I was assured that the radio would be covered and my policy increased a few dollars. A year later after a winter storm accident, they decided to total my car instead of paying for the repair due to the damage to the engine. I was then informed by the onsite claims agent that my after market radio would not be covered, despite the assurances from the original office agent. I informed the onsite claims agent the radio was added to the policy, but he had no record of it and what he puts in goes to the claim I will receive. I was then informed I would need to pull the radio out right then or lose the value since GEICO will not include it in the Claim. So I was forced to pull the radio out of my car before they towed it away from the auto shop.
The next day I later complained to the original agent who added the radio to my policy. He then told me that I should have left the radio in the car and now my claim will be without a radio. I was beyond angry, they don't know what they cover or don't cover. As this was my first accident and claim I had ever done, I trusted the onsite agent. I quickly learned that was the biggest mistake. Until this claim, I honestly had high regards to GEICO and the catered service they had to Active Military before this incident (I was stationed at the Base Near by) I now had a used after market radio that I could do nothing with collecting dust.
A National company such as GEICO should be much more professional and up to date on their paperwork and policies. As a consumer I understand the policy will not cover everything, but I do expect honesty and integrity from the agents. If they say this is covered, I should be able to take their word for it and not be misled. I should note that despite the loss of the value of the added components and the misleading the rest of the claims process was rather smooth and efficient.

With my auto, filing a claim was quick, easy and reasonable. They are very affordable and fair even with a new driver being put on our policy. Online app is easy to use. I can request any and all info with it and you can file a claim including pics from your phone. However, they don't like to cover much for homeowners. I definitely would recommend for auto but not for homeowners.

I am truly disappointed with Geico. We have been loyal customers for 10 years. We have had no tickets and only one minor dent. Our rates every six months go up and have now doubled over the decade. It is simply disgusting that this is how they treat long time loyal GOOD drivers. Their only excuse is that their costs have gone up. I am sorry but 3200 yearly for two cars for people that are good drivers with excellent credit is unacceptable! We will be going elsewhere. Shame on you Geico!

I was rear ended by a Geico insured motorist and my bodily injuries along with medical bills and time off work were simply not compensated because their insured said the accident wasn't that bad, therefore they denied my claims EVEN AFTER I provided them with all the documents. At the time of the accident my 2017 Honda Accord was brand new so how else would I have ANY type of damage on my vehicle, estimated around $1600-1700??? It wasn't like I was saying I would never be able to work due to this accident, I simply asked for the monies loss due to THEIR insured's neglect. ALL their staff are extremely rude, inconsiderate and disrespectful.

Last year, I had two car accidents. One was my fault, and the other wasn't, despite the police report saying it was. I challenged the police report and appealed it. The judge barely listened to me before refusing my appeal. When I went into the judge's room, he was accompanied by a man I didn't know, who didn't introduce himself. I later figured out that he was a representative of an insurance company. They had a great rapport and I realized, while still arguing, that my case had been determined before I ever walked in there.
Meanwhile, Geico had told me not to worry because they were doing an investigation. When no one contacted me after a month or two, I called and asked what the results of the investigation were. "What investigation?" the representative asked. It eventually emerged that by "investigation," Geico was referring to its process of asking for a witness statement. I thought they'd be out there measuring the skid marks.
I have very conflicted feelings about my experience with Geico but not with the customer service. They lied to me on every topic that was covered and when they told me there would be an investigation, which led me to think the charge would be reversed. It still puzzles me, because Geico represented me, and I DIDN'T cause the accident, but as long as I was listed as the cause, Geico had to pay for everything that occurred. But maybe the insurance companies have some way of sharing off the debts and losses.
Then Geico doubled my car insurance payments. I was outraged, and started looking for another insurer. Liberty Mutual told me they could save me $300, so I signed up. When the contract arrived, there was a note that they'd forgotten one charge -- which amounted to more than $300. Liberty Mutual salespeople had no problem lying through their teeth, and were corrupt. I called them, told them they were liars and crooks, and went back to Geico. These insurance people are accomplished liars.

I switched to GEICO when the insurance company I was with at the time raised my premium far beyond expectations when I had an unavoidable minor fender bender incident during inclement weather in a very slow tight traffic situation. I then chose another insurance company which happened to be GEICO. In the at least forty years I've been with GEICO, I've had only a couple of claims. GEICO has never raised my rates because of a claim. GEICO is a great insurance company. The associate was prompt, pleasant to talk with, took care of everything.

Geico is easy and fast. They will walk through every step explain all the coverage you will need for your family, but all insurance companies will not tell you how to save money if you have young adults both boys and girls driving, so do your homework on this. The people who work at Geico are very friendly, super nice, but most of all you will get the best price, if you don't you should tell them that other insurance companies are lower, I havn't found another to come in as low as Geico.

When I called in, GEICO was not nice. The person who caused the accident said she called the police to come out and they wouldn't. Her son, who worked at the police dept, came out and got on to her about running stop signs and excessive speed, reminding she was already in trouble because of it. I was dazed and shaken so I let her call the police. BIG MISTAKE. She took my info and called GEICO lying about the location and circumstances and saying I was at fault. GEICO believed her and rejected my claim. I had to get a lawyer to expose her and get Geico to process my claim. My lawyer made GEICO backtrack and paid the claim. I dropped them and I got another company. This was in Florida. If you never have an accident you do not know how your company will treat you if you do. I wish I had recorded my interactions with GEICO. I will always call the police myself even if someone has already done so.

In mid March I contacted GEICO to determine its policy on insurance for pizza delivery. I explained that my child works at a restaurant as a cook and had been offered hours as a delivery driver. After hearing the policy I responded to the agent that my son would not be allowed to deliver pizza. 6 weeks later I received a formal notice that my family’s policy would not be renewed in June because all of the cars were being used to deliver pizza. After 17 years claim free GEICO is accusing me of lying and has demanded a formal letter from my son’s employer confirming that my son is not a driver in order to stay insured. DO NOT INSURE YOUR CARS WITH GEICO, where they do not value customer loyalty.

I’ve had Geico for a while now. The issues that I’ve had with my car they never were a problem but when it came to a water pipe burst in my home and flooded my downstairs floors it was a nightmare! I went months without having an actual floor. Had to cancel parties I had going on that was going to be going on with my home. The claims adjuster took forever to get back in touch. They originally sent the wrong check which took even longer to get my floors. No one was sympathetic about the situation or cared. I talked to many people and got nowhere. Things were broke in the process. It shouldn’t have taken 6 months to get all this handled. And after a year later they still are asking for pictures when they already had them from the inspector!!! The only reason why I’m considering staying is the price. But I will NEVER want to do a property claim with them ever again.

On April 5, 2017 I had an minor car accident in front of the Chase Bank on El Norte and Broadway in Escondido. I had a very small scratch on my brand new 2017 Mercedes. The Geico Insurance adjuster Mona **, estimated the damage to my vehicle at $142.00, to rub out the minor scratch. At the time of the accident I did not notice any damage to the other parties vehicle, and he did not complain of any injuries at all.
I was very sick and did not have the ability to deal with the, I talked to the adjuster Mona. She told me that Geico was going to pay for the damage to my vehicle. She said that Geico was NOT going to pay for the other party, James ** claim because he claimed to have a lot of damage to his vehicle, and the picture of damage to my vehicle could not have caused that much damage to his vehicle. She decide that I am at fault.
After this call from Mona I considered that this matter was finished, it is a small claim and there would be no further action. In March. 2018, I was notified by Geico the the other party James ** was going to sue me for body injuries in the accident. I was told that a new adjuster Morgan ** from the legal dept. was now handling this case. Morgan told me that she decided to settle the claim with James ** for $9000.00 because it was in the best interest of everyone. I explained that the pictures of the damage to my vehicle proved that his car could not have received a major dent, and that the (fender bender) could not have caused injuries to him.
I believe that this whole incident was staged and planned by the other party James **, and there was not an "accident" but an intentional act on his part to collect money from the insurance co. This incident was not my fault. It is an insurance fraud. I believe that Geico settled this claim only for the best interest of Geico, and did not investigate it fully. This settlement is going to cause my insurance premiums to got up dramatically, and cause a financial hardship on me. Geico does not have right to sacrifice their customer for the best interests of Geico. Be advised that I intend to report this incident to the following consumer protection agencies.
