GEICO is scammers. They offered me a profitable insurance. I double-checked with them their offer. But when I confirmed the payment they suddenly withdrew $1560 from my bank account instead of confirmed $700. I immediately called them. I was told by a Geico representative they changed the amount due to I had a parking ticket last summer and automatically withdrew $1560. I tried to explain them it’s non-moving ticket but they answered it doesn’t matter. Ticket is ticket. Also I was told they can return my money only in 2 weeks, while they took my money for a second without any asking.

I have experience with many companies as I was in the industry for 25 years. Now being just a consumer I want to compliment the customer service representatives at Geico. Very polite, intelligent, responsive. There are no long hold times, they know what they are talking about and they resolve issues on the spot. I've had a recent experience with a company that is often compared to Geico and I just want to say there is no comparison. Geico is head and shoulders a superior company to Progressive.

I renewed a policy with Geico Insurance. I agreed to this policy for six months. I called to set it up, and cancelled. I was not planning on signing again with them, as I had many issues with them. One of the frustrating issues is that they do no keep track of concerns & comments, from Me (The Customer). As it will again, this time around turn out to be, once again. Thinking everything was fine, after the end date of my policy... I was going through my bank records, one day, and I realized that they had been pulling a monthly payment again. So, I called to ask about it, and I was informed that my policy had been renewed. I was surprised... by it, because I they didn't get my consent to renew. I never agreed to renew it.

As I had said, I agreed, to the first six months, and that was gonna be it... as I was gonna find a new company to sign on with instead. They go around in circles about everything, after I explained it. And wouldn't refund anything. SO, I ended up disputing it with my bank. That was in July 2018, my policy ended in May 2018. Thinking everything was fine? Nope. I receive another bill, and they threatened that It would be sent to collections, if I didn't pay. Again, I called today (September 13, 2018) and spoke with a supervisor/manager named Gary. And still the same thing. They were not listening to me at all!!!

They kept going on about having no phone call FOR A CANCELLATION, AND no conversation or report recorded or noted!!! It is frustrating to me, because I called and made a cancellation & I called about my concerned and they had NO NOTES regarding any of it. I feel like they are holding me hostage about all the charges that I NEVER AGREED OR SIGNED ON FOR!!!

Called Geico 6 month and said I scratched a door on my car when parked in garage and asked if I do via insurance if my premium will be the same or I’ll be paying more, they said depends but they was not sure. I told them, "Nevermind. No need claim report as it’s easy fix and I’ll fix on my own and no need claim on policy." They said no problem, but today was my policy renewal and premium went up for over $2k for 6 month on all my vehicles. Called them and told them I did not report a accident, just called to ask.

Car was sold couple months ago as I bought new vehicle. I never fixed the door as scratch was minor and sold as is. I never asked Geico to pay or something like that. Done with Geico, will not recommend them to anyone. Progressive and State Farm give me better rate than Geico was. Anyway, guys at claims department in Geico was not nice. So when I told them I’m done and would like to close my account with them start asking why and what happened and I explained again but they said it’s was done six months ago and nothing they can do.

After being hit by one of Geico's insured, I've been driving around with a damaged front fender and bumper for over a month because Geico is now not responding to either my calls or calls from my insurer, State Farm. They have had this type of experience from Geico before, according to them. We've sent photos and video, at their request, that pointed out their insured was clearly at fault and also lined up with the police officer's testimony. Now, Geico will neither speak to my State Farm representative (now she's a third party and they don't speak with third parties suddenly) nor will they pick up my frequent calls. I've now reached out to my local state representative to call the person in charge of my case and they are "familiar" with having to make these types of calls.

Geico is one of the worst insurance companies that you can have!!! Yes when you start your policy with them your monthly charges are low but 30 days later they are increasing it without you even knowing. I just started my policy in June of this year and when I started my policy with them I told them that I wanted all of the same coverages that I previously had with my old insurance provider which included collision!!! Welp guess what someone hit me the other day and when calling to get my car towed they tell me that I don’t have collision on my vehicle.

Now we all know as insurance carriers that that’s one of the main reasons of why you get insurance just in case you get Into an accident your vehicle is protected for repairs or it being totaled!!! I’m pissed what am I paying all of this money for and not be able to get my car fixed!!! Not only did they screw my that way but the lady that I got into the car accident with was wrong for going around another vehicle and my own insurance provider calls to tell me that I’m at fault. I called back and spoke with another claims specialist that believed that I wasn’t at fault and now they are going to investigate the matter more, but I hate them now I’m without a car because their employee didn’t add collision on my vehicle, and why they are trying to fight for their customers when they are telling them that they weren’t at fault in an accident.

I called for roadside assistance for a flat tire (my car does not come with a spare). GEICO kept me on the phone for over 45 minutes before they called a tow - awful process. Today I got a notice from GEICO that it is considered an at fault accident. 1) I was not making a claim. 2) It was rush hour in LA. I had no choice but to be going way below the limit. 3) Debris in the road and a flat tire is not an item that a policyholder of 33 years should receive a scare for. I called GEICO to get it fixed (I do not want an at fault claim on the record). Apparently, they must do this a lot since they already have a pre-approved "We made a mistake" letter.

I’ve been fairly happy with Geico for a dozen years or so, with both our cars being insured by them. Their rates were competitive and the service we received on two claims was acceptable (neither my fault). However, I should point out that on one the claims, they kept insisting that it’s my fault even though the police report said otherwise, and the other car’s insurer accepted responsibility. But it worked out OK in the end.

But my most recent disappointment occurred when we bought a new car, and I deleted the old car and added the new. Of course, the price increased, but we paid. Now the next billing cycle is pending, and I checked the details of the policy for the first time, and notice that they had added a “mechanical breakdown insurance” premium of $92 for six months. I’m furious - first, I never had such coverage, nor is it necessary on a brand new car that has full warranty. That did it, I am switching to another insurer that has my homeowners coverage, and whose rate for the exact same policy is about 24% lower.

2017 I was involved in an incident where a driver from behind nearly hit my car in the rear but neither car touched, the other driver lost control of his car and ran into the median. Geico did not defend me. They refused to even talk to me. They said it was my fault and paid the other party off. They refused to give me the police report, or the witness statements. I called them multiple times and asked to speak to a claims adjuster. They never let me talk to one and stonewalled my attempts to explain what happened. My insurance rates doubled. I called another insurance company and they told me that Geico was simply taking the path of least resistance and in the process would stain my record - dramatically & permanently raising my rates, thereby keeping me stuck with their insurance as they'd still be lower than anyone else.

They believed the path of least resistance for them was to simply pay the other party rather than fight for me (their client) for what was right. They paid $5K to the other party, and ruined my driving record. My increase in rates for a family of 5 easily covered the $5K they paid to the other party - and then some. Luckily the new insurance agent told me to dispute the "incident" (it was NOT an accident) with a company called LexisNexis. I did and the incident being my fault was reversed (as it should have been). From that my driving record was good and I could get reasonably priced insurance again - about what Geico had been charging before the incident. CONSUMER BEWARE - Geico will NOT represent you fairly in a dispute. They only care about their bottom line. You and your driving record are irrelevant. You as a customer are irrelevant to them - their only concern is your wallet. remember that and avoid them.

They refused to refund the amount back to my card even though I paid them. I advised them I did not authorize this and only wanted to remove the vehicle and driver and they kept stating this is how they handle divorces. When I asked if my ex-wife canceled her new policy if they'd refund me the money, they stated they would try to refund to my card but she had the right to request a check for a payment I made. I no longer had the right or authorization on an account that was initially mine. Horrible service. I recently cancelled my GEICO policy; my car got vandalized and me having full coverage insurance never would have thought that filing a claim would cause the extreme pain, bashing and accusations I was put through, and leave me feel completely sad, angry and so helpless. Yes, I understand my car is an older car and probably not worth fixing, but had I known now what I did not know before, I would have never filed a claim with GEICO. I would much have rather saved myself the pain, grief and the bashing I endured for simply using a service I was paying for.

I was asked to meet with a GEICO investigator at a Starbucks location, this is where in front of other customers, the GEICO investigator proceeded to ask me a series of questions which I know now, were pretty well thought out and planned questions about my personal life to use against me. I was caught very off guard and not knowing all my rights at the time and not knowing where all this was leading to. I proceeded to answer all of his questions about my personal life.

After this, the investigator very aggressively accused me of vandalizing the car myself in order to “screw GEICO” and as if that was not enough, he cursed me out and called me a "good con artist" among other insults that are too embarrassing to list publicly, and all of this while we sat at a Starbucks table, I was completely shocked and ridiculed, discriminated and bashed based on my income and disability status which he had previously and methodically drilled me on, I was crying and denying the accusations and yet he continued to use the personal answers I had given him at the start to further accuse me of doing this myself.

This is just a brief summary of what I was put through, the rest is too personal to discuss on a review. I have contacted GEICO to report this and left messages, and have not yet heard back from a supervisor, when I call back, I was told that this investigator is no longer allowed to contact me. As embarrassing as this is for me, I am posting this to caution people; if you are asked to meet with an investigator, please be prepared and use your judgement to not answer any personal questions which can then in turn be used completely against you to accuse, manipulate and ridicule you. I feel discriminated based on my income and disability status by GEICO and plan to take further action in reporting this type discrimination and treatment.

My husband has always refused to get a quote from other companies, but this recent increase put him over the line. We have complained that Geico puts too much investments in their advertising. I believe the advertising is beyond excessive. I am personally sick of hearing them. Maybe if they reduced their spending in this area they can stop increasing our insurance. Anyway, Geico did not give me any trouble with the windshield replacement, probably because I have a $500 deductible which means I am paying for at least half the cost. Anyway, my issue is the car rental. My appointment to get windshield replaced was on 8/23/18 but because when Geico talked to the auto body place they told Geico that the first available appointment was for 8/21/18. They would not let me have a car rental any day past 8/21/18. I told them my appointment was on 8/23/18 and they needed the car for 2 days. Geico still only wants to pay for 1 day and not past the 8/21/18 day.

Doesn’t even matter that the auto body place got on the phone with them and me and told them that the appointment was on the 8/23/18 date. This insurance company is so full of crap. I had several phone calls with them and their stand was the 21st and one day no matter what—even talked to the supervisor. I finally gave up and hung up—I don’t need their stinking $60 (2 days at $30 each). I am with others and will be quitting this insurance company just as soon as my windshield gets replaced.

I brought Geico insurance for my car and added my home to their Homesite Insurance. In one year, the Mortgage Company complained to me that my home was under-insured. Next, Geico went up on my car insurance. I contacted a Broker and changed my insurance company. It was supposed to be switched by June 1, 2018. The mortgage company had already issued the renewal check to Homesite. My Broker and I contacted Homesite and informed them of the change. June 1, 2018 was the cut off date. They told me my check would be refunded to me and I would have to send the check back to escrow. That is the normal procedure so I waited for the check. Two weeks later I still had not received my check, so I called again. This time I was told that it could take up to 30 days to receive the check. I waited another two weeks and called back. They informed me that the check had been mailed on June 17th.

I still had not received the check and were in late July. At the end of July, I called back and they had no excuse, so they canceled the check that I never received and was never cashed and issued another check. On August 10th again they claimed the check had been mailed out to me already. One of their employees started to call me to let me know the status of the check and asking if I had received it. Again, I have not received the check. This morning 8/16/2018. I have called again. They put a supervisor on the phone. I explained that because of their delay. I had suffered damage because my Mortgage company increased my monthly mortgage payment because I had not received the check to put the money back in the escrow account. I requested to speak to the legal department. I was told that their legal department does not take phone calls and I was denied being transferred to them.

Next, I asked if there was a transcript of all the phone conversation relating to this incident. I was informed that yes, there is a transcript, but I am not entitled to a copy unless I serve them with a Subpoena. I specifically asked if I could FOIA the record since it is a part of their file on me. They told me that the only way I could get a copy is by subpoena. I have now waited two and a half months checking my mail daily to no avail. I am paying my new insurance company, and my mortgage payment has increased and will remain high until I can put the money back into the escrow account. Homesite is blaming the U.S. Postal Service for the delay. They are claiming that the first check that never arrived must be lost mail. They are claiming that the Postal Service is also responsible for the delay in receiving the second check. I will never do business with this company again. I will be talking to an attorney to examine my option to recover damages.

I'm so frustrated right now after being bent over by Geico that I don't even have the patience to write this review fully. Here's the gist of it: They increase your rates every year regardless of your driving history, location, age, etc. They try to pull you in with offered discounts, but they're usually just minuscule offers that you'll likely disqualify for anyway. If you read their FAQ, you'll see how many people are asking why their Premium increases. Read their answer, and you'll see that they justify their increase with a ton of vague factors that they'll absolutely refuse to explain further.

They'll make a mistake when changing your policy through a phone call. After they catch the mistake, they make YOU pay for it even though one of their own representatives were to blame. Geico does not offer better rates than other providers. They take full advantage of those who are required to pay for full-coverage insurance because of a leased vehicle. You're easy prey, and they know it. Some of the coverage you're required to pay for is redundant and, therefore, completely unjustified.

To give you my personal example with them (without violating their guidelines -- I'd like for this to be published even though I'm 99.9% sure it won't be) I have been insured for a new vehicle through Geico for 4 years now. In those 4 years, I've had no accidents (it says I'm a "Claim Customer" because I used them to repair damage to my windshield from a rock using Safelite. They were GREAT for that experience), am nearing age 30, no traffic violations, and have moved from a MAJOR metropolitan area to a small town in comparison. I have a white vehicle and have started using a FRONT and REAR dash cam that I informed Geico of in order to HOPEFULLY lower my premium.

None of that mattered. Geico has STILL increased my premium every year. Last year, they increased it by $10 (keep in mind, this is after I moved to more of a rural area with much less traffic). How is this justified? It's not, but they can claim those vague factors that are highlighted in that answer within the FAQ section. They aren't required to share their algorithms or guidelines for pricing premiums. They can do whatever they'd like and simply offer you that vague, justification which does not require a proper explanation through hard data. They KNOW that you'll likely renew your insurance through them when the time comes instead of shop around for a better quote. They know it's inconvenient to shop around. They increase your premium just enough to irritate you, but not so much that you'll drop everything and start hunting for better coverage. It's their business practice.

TLDR: Don't insure yourself through Geico. It isn't worth it. Take the time to shop around for the insurance you NEED (don't let them talk you into anything extra). Get what is required by law, or what is required by your lienholder. Don't let these snakes get fat off your hard-earned dollar. They're no different than any other insurance company. Shop around, don't rush into it. Read other's stories/reviews and decide what the norm seems to be. I'm sure Geico likely cherry-picks reviews, so I doubt anybody will see this, so maybe I'll post it on /r as well. Maybe it'll save someone else from this irritation. Oh, and the Customer Service rep I was trying to explain all these facts to has decided to stop responding to my messages after she increased my premium by almost 20%. I didn't intend for this to be so long when I started, but I think it's better I provided so much detail.

Here are the writing guidelines: "We want your review to get published so please do not: discuss things that are unrelated to the product, mention the specific price you paid for the product, include any personally identifying information, such as full names. If you have an issue for customer service, please e-mail us instead of writing it in a review."

I followed these guidelines and did NOT discuss anything that wasn't somehow related to the product/experience that is tied to Geico. I did NOT mention the specific price I paid for anything -- I merely mentioned the increase I had in one of my examples but did not mention the entire price. As a matter of fact, I described a premium increase using a percentage, but did not disclose the premium amount. I didn't include any personal information. While I did briefly mention my experience with customer service there at the end, it was not the basis for this review and, thus, does not disqualify me from making it.

Here's to hoping they honor their own guidelines and post my review! I probably just wasted a significant amount of my valuable time and did not change a thing, but hey, at least I'm trying to do a service for humanity instead of sitting by while they milk us our entire lives. PS I had tried putting $0 as the amount saved by switching to Geico on this review page, but they won't allow it with a message that says "Amount Saved by Switching to GEICO is too short." I'm not even kidding. Gonna try "1". PSS 1 doesn't work either. I'm just going to put 500. Know that this amount isn't valid for me, but they won't let me post otherwise.

My husband and I were rear-ended while sitting still at a signal by a GEICO-insured driver. This happened on January 28, 2018. Our 2007 Corvette sustained a spider web patterned series of cracks because the rear panel is plastic and is made to "give" when impacted. My husband and I were jolted, and suffered severe whiplash. We went to the Emergency Room of the local hospital, were examined/scanned, given pain killers and told to visit a chiropractor. We did go to a chiropractor who treated us for several months until the headaches, back/neck aches, stiffness and lack of mobility to turn our heads subsided.

While GEICO paid the small bill to put a new rear end panel on our Corvette, they adamantly refused to pay a penny to reimburse us for either the ER visit, or the chiropractor care. What kind of company won't at least pay for the "damage" their driver caused? I will never use GEICO, nor will I not tell everyone I know to avoid them. GEICO is an unethical company.

I recently returned to them after shopping around to make sure I was receiving the best possible rates for my homeowners/auto insurance. They gave me a quote that was lower than other companies, so I decided to give them another chance... Well, BIG MISTAKE!! Upon reviewing my premium that is due later this month, I realized they had increased the rate 20%!! Once again, I have never used any of my auto or home insurance benefits! They said rate increases had occurred across the board due to the large amount of payouts this past year! Isn't that what insurance is for? And my question is why should I be punished for others' use of their insurance policy?

The damage was due to a storm called (Harvey). When we knew we were going to file I called with “GEICO.” There was no problems with filing the claim. Upon checking about the claim I was told that “I had better hope this was not a fraudulent claim.” When asked why I then was told that “people like me file claims all the time.” I then was taken back by them and said, "Well I am not most people and it is a legitimate claim."

A day or two later I called back in to speak with a supervisor about this problem. Told her that what was said was very uncalled for along with unprofessional, demeaning, and there is no proof that I am one of those people. I proceeded to tell the supervisor that I not only wanted an apology from the girl but, I also thought she should be removed from talking with any customers with what she had said to me. I also talked with her about other problems we had with the company.

I concluded the conversation with the supervisor by giving them a time frame for the girl to call me. I also told them that if I did not get an apology from the girl that I would change companies. I am begging that nobody else ever has to go thru this with this company. Especially in a time of need. In canceling the policy they could not even get the day we wanted it cancelled right. This company does need to be investigated for a whole list of problems. The biggest is lying. Geico jacked my rates back up and kept trying to get me to fax them a odometer reading from my car when no other insurance company has made me do this. The agents whom I spoke to on the phone were adamant that this was standard procedure but I have yet to run into anyone else who upholds this practice. I've been insured by Progressive, AAA and Farmers which I feel is a pretty decent cross section of agencies.

Value wise, they are garbage. They do 6 month terms often at the same cost that you could get insured by another agency for the same amount of money. When I brought this up to the agent on the phone she was rude and extremely condescending to me, questioning both my intelligence and my ability to verify that I had provided adequate information to my new agency (this was during the cancellation phone call).

Also, don't believe anything these grifters say for even a second. The original agent that I had spoken to claimed over the phone that I was paid through July for my insurance. When canceling, the agent on the phone then tried to coerce me into paying additional money, upwards of $250 dollars. When I questioned her about this, the same rude, condescending attitude was applied to me, attempting to make my concerns seem unimportant while at the same time subtly trying to make me feel stupid. Her attitude was like this for much of the phone call. Needless to say, Geico's customer service is awful. If you like getting overcharged for insurance, jumping through hoops, dealing with dishonest agents, having your intelligence insulted and having an all around awful customer service experience then Geico may be for you. I quickly activated a new card and went forward with payment just a short while after being notified. GEICO decided to penalize me for a lapse in payment, even though the expiring was not due to insufficient funds, but due to a simple oversight on my expiration date. An oversight from a loyal customer of 7 years (9 year now), who never before missed a payment.

My insurance went up around 25-30% a month. They told me their underwriters would look into readjusting the rate after 12 months. 12 months later they would not budge from the new price. I waited yet another year and still no adjustment. It's been well over two years now and every time I ask, they decline to adjust my rate. Finally, I surrendered and joined GEICO insurance and it has been nothing but incompetence and deception of lies thereafter. After having GEICO for one month I accidentally punctured my leather seat on the bottom cushion, and, to make matters worse, after requesting I receive a Bill of Sale to ensure no damages were done to my vehicle prior of purchasing the vehicle GEICO asked me to receive I backed up and hit the dealership's vehicle and scrapped the bottom of my car, as well as the dealership's vehicle and up to my surprise, the dealership didn't pursue any charges on my behalf.

I reported the incident anyhow. And I thought GEICO told me I had accident forgiveness and I did, but the company didn't honor that request which is fraudulent to falsely advertise something they don't live up to. Since then my vehicle insurance increased dramatically, and after two months GEICO insurance renewed my car insurance to justify the 80 percent price increase. So I recently started my policy with Geico at the end of May. I purchased full coverage (Comp + Coll + Liability) because I am financing my vehicle. Over the weekend, I had an unfortunate accident involving a deer. I called to make a claim, an adjuster came out the next day to inspect my car, and deemed it totaled. He told me that Geico would lend me a rental and pay for the current value of the car. About an hour later I received a call from a woman in the Claims Department named Christa. She informed that Geico canceled my comprehensive and collision coverage a week after my policy began. She said that I failed to use the "snapshot photo" on their website when my policy started. THAT WAS NEWS TO ME! I had no prior knowledge of this information. No emails, no phone calls, NOTHING. Just one very ambiguous letter about an inspection to my.

The letter had no mention of a "snapshot" photo. If it had, I would've taken the necessary steps to make sure that part of my coverage would remain active. I read the letter and thought they were referring to a DMV inspection. So I disregarded it (like the letter said to if my car was already inspected) thinking that it didn't apply to me. So I explained this to Christa over the phone and she basically told me that there is nothing they can do. I was so upset. At the time, I was at work, so I went home to go through all of my mail to see if I could find anything regarding a "snapshot" photo. I didn't find a single thing. I also went through all of my emails and voicemails and didn't find any record of this either.

Here are other things that I realized after that phone call: I never received a refund when they cancelled my coverage. I randomly received a credit of $6.97 after I spoke with Christa... Just randomly. Talk about shady. Geico never contacted my lender that they cancelled my coverage. It's their job to communicate that with them since I am financing the vehicle. I called back this morning and somehow was connected to Christa again. The moment I stated my name to her, she rudely cut me off and said, "How can I help you?" I asked to speak with her supervisor, and conveniently for them, he was away from his desk at the moment. I told her to put me into voicemail. It's been an hour and I still haven't received a phone call back. However, I will be calling them again very soon.

I am a legal secretary at a law firm, so I have a plethora of attorneys to choose from to take legal action. Their customer service is awful. And I refuse to pay out of pocket, when I've been under the impression that I have had full coverage since May. They need to do better. PLEASE, WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT CHOOSE GEICO. I did not end up filling the rest of the form out because after waiting for several minutes my car started up again. Meanwhile, the company that ended up coming was in my town. This is maybe a good company for someone that likes to get unexpected charged billed to them but other than that I have had 0 help in the past. I am usually not the one to write a review, however, due to my recent experience with Geico I felt it's better to inform public of my recent experience. I have been customer with Geico since 2007 and have been paying premium on time. My 6-month premium ranged anywhere from $450-500 depending on where I've moved around in the last decade. During the last year, my wife and I both had minor collision. The premium paid to the other party for my wife's collision was ~$1200 and for myself Geico had paid ~$2400. Based on this history, Geico changed my 6-month premium to $1300. I've called multiple times for an explanation as to why this was the case, but no explanation was provided and they said that's the best rate we can provide based on your recent history.

While I was expecting the raise in premium, but not to the extent of 2-3 fold increase every 6-month. To compare, I got quotes from other auto insurance. The best quote for the 6-month premium I received was $671 for the identical coverage (100/300/100 with 250 deductible). This is more reasonable given the recent collision history. The lesson learned here is that, Geico is your best friend until you are involved in an incident (no matter how big or small). There is no such thing as customer loyalty for being with one insurance company for longer period.

The GEICO is focused on "slamming" the customer who simply call just to get a quote only!!! I just called in to see the feasibility of adding my cousin to our policy and got slammed by the agent name Lisa... This is called “slamming” – especially someone simply called in to get a quote only and the GEICO agent Lisa forcefully added this driver in our policy; even her manager knowing the fact would not do anything about it - this is truly a ridiculous system/process. I’m requesting high level Geico leaderships' attention to this; I truly called in to get a quote only, and a driver is being forcefully added to our policy. Now I’m being asked to signs in NDE!!! Once I passed her out of nowhere my car is hit and I spun into the opposite side of the street into traffic and stopped by head on collision with the bridge. THANKFULLY I didn't go over the bridge or I wouldn't be typing. However, your insured got out of her car and stated "Omg this is so embarrassing, I didn't see you, this is like my third wreck".

I contacted GEICO in hopes of resulting this claim and they stated that their insured already completed her turn and I HIT HER. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? MY CAR IS NOT DRIVE-ABLE. I HAD TO GET IT TOWED TO MY HOUSE. IT'S TOTALED. She drove off the scene and even asked if I needed a ride home. Now they're trying to deny it again after I contacted a lawyer and at this point we will have to go to court. Thanks for making my life so much more difficult at the roughest time. Have been a Geico insured for 7 years. Never had any accidents other than a couple of minor claims for a scratch to the front spoiler with the sidewalk as I moved my car and a dent to my door caused by a careless driver who opened their door in my car while it was parked unoccupied. Since the deductible was more than the damages for one claim and the other claim was just going to pay me $40 after the deductible was applied, I requested that both of these minor claims be closed since I would not pursue them.

Then, I had a no-fault accident in February two weeks after having gotten my new car. I was injured and had over $10K worth of damages. After only 6 weeks (2 of which I didn’t treat because I had had surgery and was recovering) of very conservative chiropractic treatment 3 times a week and still experiencing pain, and having disc hernia toons in my lower back that have been aggravated by the hard impact, Geico set me up for an independent medical examination and the doctor terminated my chiropractor treatment as not being reasonable since according to him, I had reached an endpoint in treatment. This only left me with the option to do treatment with a pain doctor that involved more invasive treatment involving epidural injections or prescribed pain meds – both options that I didn’t want, but had to concede to since I’m still in pain.

Not only did they do this, next thing you know, I got my policy renewal notice a couple of days ago and my premium has gone from $340 to $490 for 2 cars and two adult drivers with no accidents or moving violations! When I called to find out why, I was told that they had done an underwriting review and based on my driving record, they had made an adjustment. I asked what driving record since I haven’t had any accidents and the one that I had in February wasn’t my fault. I was told that regardless of fault, there were three claims reported in the last three years and an adjustment had been made. Additionally, we have two 2018 Lexus - an IS 350 and an RX 350 and because they are new vehicles, there isn’t enough data for them to rate their performance therefore they have to rate them higher and all these factors lead to a $1000 adjustment to my 6-month policy!

I was given the option to increase my deductibles to $1000, reduce my liability to 15/30/15 from 50/100/50 and get PIP without loss wages coverage. Basically getting crappy coverage to reduce my monthly to $370. I find it very unfair to be treated like this by Geico after 7 years of no claims or accidents. I feel disappointed and betrayed by my insurance company. I now have had to go look for coverage elsewhere and found the same coverage that I currently have will be $370 with The Hartford. Sad that Geico treats its loyal customers this way and gives better rates to new customers who potentially pose a higher liability.

I recently check the bill that is due next month and it was quoted $644 a month.

I contacted GEICO and here was their reason: Because you were billed your next bill the day you bought your new car and in order for you to be covered on the new policy you must finish paying your old policy from your old vehicle. The old vehicle I had traded in to get the new vehicle. They said they were going to send me information on it thru email which I have yet to see. I have bought many cars over the past few months and I have never had to finish paying the policy for the past vehicle I have gotten rid of until now. This company is a total organized SCAM!!! They make promises and never follow them or have record of ever stating them. The rates CONSTANTLY go up!!! They always have some clause that they make you aware of when they ** up... I was insured with them over 2 years. I ended up changing banks 3 months ago. I had been paying my insurance with my new card information for the past 3 months... Suddenly, out of the blue today I check my Geico app for my insurance info for work purposes and I can no longer sign into my acct. I call Geico to see what the issue was and find out I can't sign in because my acct. was canceled on June 25!!!

It was explained to me that it was due to the fact that they pulled on my old bank acct. on the 25th of June. I asked why? Because I had previously set up payment arrangements with a CSR by the name of Sara on June 19th, informing Geico that I needed a extension to the 30th of June due to financial difficulties, it was to my understanding that the request was granted by Geico CSR and I was good to make payment on June 30th... (And I did)... The payment was still received and processed on June 30th by Geico, that I paid out of my new fully funded bank acct... (And did I mention I was able to go in the app on the 30th which proved my insurance was still not canceled by the 25th because I wouldn't have been able to get in the acct... and of course they have a reason/excuse for every little thing I'm asking and calling them out on.)

Long story short they told me they canceled my acct. due to no funds in my acct (old one that hadn't been used in 3 months) at the time they did a "Authorized" transaction and that they did also accept my payment on the 30th and would not return it due to my policy being canceled days earlier... They said I could get $10 returned to me and I would owe $150.00 today to reopen a new acct. I have talked with my bank about the issue and it will be handled. Geico is a total Bust!!! Run!!!

I recently purchased a new vehicle and wanted to add it to my current GEICO auto policy. I used the "add a vehicle" online. One of the options was "Ride Share". My wife and I had discussed the possibility of this so I selected it as an option to see how it would affect my rates. Even though this was an option to select GEICO returned a notification that I could not add my vehicle at that time. So I went back through the process and did not opt for rideshare and added my new car to my policy. The next day (Monday) I called and spoke to an agent about it. She simply said that Geico was not currently extending policies with rideshare in my area and that I would either have to ask about it again later, or look for an alternate insurance company.

The next day I received an email from GEICO stating I was no longer insurable and that my policy was being dropped. That they were giving me a fair amount of notice so that I could shop for other insurance. This was not a request for information and they clearly had no motivation for retention. I called for clarification and the reason was because I inquired about Rideshare. Not because I was actually driving for a rideshare company - Based on the insurance inquiry alone, They were going to drop my insurance. Then they proceeded to tell me that I could go to UBER (whom I have no affiliation) and get a letter from UBER stating that I am not a driver. After about 10 min of trying to find an UBER phone number online (which does not exist to my knowledge) I finally decided it would be easier to find the number of another Insurance company.

This was by far the worst customer experience I have ever had with an insurance provider. To be dropped for an inquiry is unbelievable, and then to essentially be called a liar and have to prove that I do not drive for UBER is unreal. If they are going to treat us this poorly based on a quote inquiry - I would hate to see how I would be treated if we had a real problem and needed their help. Stay away from GEICO.

I am in a total limbo with GEICO. I let my son use my car, and he had an accident. I did not have collision on it and they claim it was a collision as he did hit a street sign going off the road. However, he was getting off the road, and panicking, as he was getting sick. He did not hit the sign purposely. The car caught fire because it landed in an area of very high and dry grass. Geico is claiming this is a collision and demanding an accident report, and in the meantime the shell of the car is at the pound, garnering daily storage fees while Geico decides whether this is considered a collision or NOT. I am going insane and just want the doggone tow and impound fee paid. I am told to WAIT until they can verify that is was a collision or NOT, and in the meantime I sit and collect storage fees.

I was given a very rude adjuster, who just kept insisting all last week (the accident happened on a Saturday) that I must get a police report, when all the police have is a tow report! The Charlotte County Sheriff's office says it was NOT a collision while Geico, today, tells me that it IS a collision due to a street sign being flattened when he went off the road... but he did NOT go off the road because he hit the street sign! He was simply getting ill and wanted to park the car and STOP as he was getting into a residential area.

I have called the CCSO about ten times and they are not producing the report that Geico wants, so I sit and WAIT and accrue storage fees. I am in a total limbo I guess thanks to the definition of a collision!!! It is a mess. I lost my car and items in it, and don't care about that. Can anyone tell me the definition of a collision as that makes a great deal of difference to Geico when something like this happens. Charlotte County Sheriff says no collision and Geico says COLLISION. Help me out. This is insanity. I lost a car, yes, and many items in it... a smart phone, glasses, groceries, but all I want is the doggone tow yard paid off and storage charges stopped. Geico is really being horrid here.

Since I have an X5, I have decided to go with the dealership (it is in the list of vendors). When I submitted my claim of almost $2K, Geico only reimbursed $789.61, claiming that this is their allowance.

I bought my 2014 Nissan Altima in April 2017. It is a rebuilt title but the car runs perfectly. Never had an issue until my son was hit on 2/6/18 by an unlicensed driver in a landscaping truck. At the scene, the car failed to start and was towed to the body shop. The original claim was great; a rental car was secured and the repairs done and paid for. The battery was replaced to fix the starting problem.

A week later the car failed to start again. It was returned to a mechanic and the battery terminal was replaced. Same thing a few days later. It was towed back and another cable was replaced. Same thing a few days later. This time the adjuster advised the issue was unrelated to the accident and no further repairs or rental car would be covered. I rented a car for 7 weeks while the car sat for days on end waiting for them to figure out the issue. I was finally told it was some gearbox. I decided to then take it to where I bought it and see if they could fix it under the warranty that expired in April during all this.

Again, the car sat for 10 days and ran perfectly so I brought it home and same thing a day or 2 later; would not start. Took it back and the key FOB was reprogrammed. Same thing a few days later. The mechanic suggested I take it to a Nissan dealer. On June 7, 2018 I did just that and as of today June 22, 2018 the car is still there. Geico denied the claim even though the Nissan adviser and technician have said it's undoubtedly due to the accident.

Initially the adjuster told me this was a problem with Nissan cars and the repairs needed were in the front and my car was not damaged in the front during the accident (see photos). Then the adjuster told me the car was a rental car, in a flood, a fire and a previous accident and the issues with it starting up are coincidence; that it is not due to the accident of 2/6/18. I have asked for all this in writing and nothing. On 6/20/18 I called Geico and asked for an update and was told the 2nd inspection of the vehicle was canceled because Nissan confirmed this was not due to an accident. On 6/21/18 I called Nissan and the adviser said no one from Geico was there on 6/20/18; we did a conference call with Geico and the story changed once again; the rep said the 2nd inspection was cancelled because the first adjuster denied the claim there was no reason for another inspection.

Today 6/22/18 Nissan informs me another Geico adjuster came out and spent 2 hours there and disappeared without saying a word. Another weekend without a car... Meanwhile, I am paying insurance on a car that hasn't been driven since 2/6/18 and looks like I am out the $797 in repairs and the $986 I paid in rental cars on my own.

I reported a claim since my car hit the fallen rocks so both wheel and tire of the front right needs to be replaced. The claim was transferred to several damage adjusters (from Bill to Scott and finally to Joe **) which took almost a week. And Joe went to inspect the car and just tried to lower the price for ordering and replacing the wheel and tire so it would be lower than my 1000 deductible limit. The cost reported by the workshop to replace the wheel and tire with the types that match my car and are same as the other three tires would cost more than 1000 including the labor fee. But this guy, Joe, he reported the estimate summary to $490 by recommending me the tires and wheels that does not even match the color of my original wheel!!!

And when I asked him what the factory and brand the tire is, he said he is not familiar with that, he didn't know what exactly it is! That's so ridiculous and is that how the GEICO's damage adjuster works??? I couldn't believe that's what a damage adjuster said. How could you send a person that doesn't care about fixing the car, doesn't care about if the cheap one would cause any problems, doesn't care about my safety but just want to recommend the tires and wheels that's cheap enough to escape from 1000 deductible limit? GEICO really disappointed me!!!

I think what I am asking for makes sense right? I just want to replace the tire and wheel with the same one as the other three and I will pay for 1000 and Geico pay for the rest, I didn't ask for more that! That's what it is based on my auto insurance. And this guy now even didn't answer my call. I called the GEICO service several times trying to contact him or at least send another adjuster to inspect the situation and the service person just said, “You have to contact him”. How could GEICO be like so irresponsible!!!

I have been with the same auto insurance company for over 30 years but based on what I have read online regarding the competitiveness of Geico policies, I visited their site and received an online quote for $68.42 for one car and 2 drivers. However, I had a question and decided to call to verify a couple of items... BIG MISTAKE! I spoke with Romain (yes, like the lettuce) and received confirmation that the quote was correct. In fact, I was told that my future payments were $66.89/month, but would be reduced to $62.00 if I authorize direct payment through my checking account. I agreed to this and two days later (today) I noticed that Geico took $203.03 from my checking. I immediately log in to my Geico account and noticed that in additions to the money they had taken from my checking account, there was another payment due in July for $188.17.

I called Geico to discover that my policy, which was originally quoted at $821/year, would now cost me $2,301.16. Of course, Denise at Geico had no idea what happened and could not explain the exorbitant cost that I was being charged. Keep in mind that policy was to cover, one car - a 2017 Subaru Outback (2.5-liter engine) and two drivers (67 & 68 years old). Obviously, I canceled the policy immediately... Be aware of fast-talking Geico sales reps and make sure that you review your checking account (or better yet do not trust them with checking information) and make sure to visit your account online to ensure that what they promised you on the phone is indeed the policy and price you understood you were getting.

However, when we had to file a claim due to a weather related incident we haven't had a great experience at all. They actually wanted us to drive the vehicle from our country home to town with a broken windshield that was about to collapse and airbag about to deploy! Then we never could get ahold of the adjuster or supervisor. When I'd call the 800 number they couldn't even reach them. Every day I was left without answers and ended up getting told what pictures to take to help the process. Basically doing the adjuster's job! HORRIBLE SERVICE. I hope my experiences with GEICO can help other people not becoming the insurance's victim like me. :( This Monday I was driving my car on San Marcos Blvd in San Marcos. Suddenly the car in front of me STOPPED hardly and I stopped very hardly too. Maybe the car in front of me carrying baggage in the trunk so the front car felt my car collided with her car. So we pulled over and inspected the cars and no damage was found (Not even a scratch)!!!

However my insurance company, Geico, determined the collision was my fault!!! Because the driver of front car was working for Geico!!! So ridiculous… Anyone who is reading my review about GEICO, watch out... Maybe their premium is cheaper than Allstate, State Farm, Triple-A, Progressive but their service is horrible and not responsible for their clients. I quickly downloaded the app, which got stuck on the main screen twice. 20 minutes later I gave up on that option. I then called the 1800 number. I spoke with a representative. She advised me to find help on my own, then submit the invoice to the ERS Department for reimbursement.

So here I am stuck on the side of a major highway (840 west mile marker 45) with semi trucks flying by at 80 miles per hour left without any help from Geico’s Roadside Assistance! This without a doubt the worst insurance company I have ever come across. We have been customers of theirs for 10 years. While sitting stopped at a red light behind about 10 other cars a SUV came flying up and hit us. I looked in the rearview mirror and saw just before he hit. He was on his cell phone. Once I checked on my wife I went to check on the driver that hit us to see if he was okay. He said he was sorry. I then asked what happened. He said, "I don't know. I am sorry." A truck pulled from behind him and drove by slowly. I said, "Were you hit from behind?" He said, "I don't know." Then he suddenly said, "Oh yeah. That must have been it." I called the police. Then went to the back of his car. There was no damage to the back of his car at all. Yet the front of his car and back of ours had considerable damage. When the police officer came the man told him he must have been hit.

I walked back to the back of his vehicle and showed him. There is no damage. Then took pictures. The police officer said he had to write it up that way. I said he is lying. I did not matter. We contacted Geico at the time of the accident. We did everything right. I took pictures of all sides and the back of the car. It is clear that there is no damage. The man lied. Once everything was filed. Geico decided that the man that hit us while we were stopped at a red light and he was talking on the phone WAS NOT AT FAULT!!! Scott the adjuster supposedly on our side was horrible the entire time and very rude. His supervisor Andres his supervisor was even worse. We have 4 cars insured with them. We own our home. I own a business. Either of which thankfully are not insured by Geico and never will be.

To make this worse Geico and the police officer shared our home address with the man that hit us. We have young children. I had thought I noticed a car like his around our house which I found strange since our neighborhood is a circle. I went back and looked up the man that hit us and found he has a charge of lewd and Lascivious acts on a child under 12 on his criminal record. I could not make this up if I tried. It is all a matter of public record. GEICO WILL NOT AND DOES NOT LOOK OUT FOR YOUR BEST INTERESTS!!!

I had to go through a Geico claim after my glass got cracked due to a stone off the highway. It was for a BMW 2016. They mentioned to me too that it's an easy process. Just let us know who we are getting it repaired by and that they will cut us a check once the repair was done. I had to take it to the BMW dealership since that was a specialized windshield that BMW repairs. Upon receiving the repair bill $1600 I submitted it to Geico and Geico only cuts a check for $1100. I was livid when I saw this as this would mean that I have to come up with 500 + the deductible of 100 to pay these crooks.

They specifically mentioned that they will cover but that is not what happened eventually. It is a very sad situation and I am thoroughly disappointed in their practices. I have been with Geico over 16 years and never have I had to pay anything out of pocket during an accidental repair other than the deductible. However, my claims person said they could only get me a rental for 5 to 10 days. It was like pulling teeth extending the rental. They ended up only giving me 9 days (or 7 if you don't include the first day and the day I dropped it off).

On top of that, they (Enterprise) charged my personal credit card $76.10 for a remaining balance! I had to contact claims and get them to send me a refund check, which they did, but what a hassle. All in all, I ended up purchasing a car I dislike because I felt so rushed to make a decision and not having any transportation to and from work (being without a rental). Two of my vehicles suffered identical hail damage covered under a GEICO policy. Due to the status of working away from home by myself, I requested an adjuster to come out to my apartment to view both vehicles. Nevertheless, Geico set up at Caliber Collision in College Station, Texas to adjust vehicles by appointment. First vehicle appointment scheduled for thirty minutes lasted beyond an hour and a half in which I lost time from work due to the Geico's emailed address for Caliber Collision and Google maps location. The second vehicle appointment, I scheduled for Saturday on my day off work. Both processes involved filling out paperwork including a form from the business of Caliber Collision in regards to an individual's desire to have their vehicle repaired there or not.

Although the Geico rep informed me the owner of vehicles may choose their place of repair, I felt pressure and thought these words were misleading. Especially since I did not see anyone else from any other vehicle repair business on the premises having their paperwork filled out. After scheduling repair appointments at another business, I encountered a supplemental denial on my second claim by a Geico adjuster. Go figure. The place of business informed the Geico representative to contact me about their denial. Consequently, I never received an email or phone call from this claims adjuster. Furthermore, it took an Act of Congress to reach the original surveyor; I called 800 number, used Geico app message center, emailed, and texted before I received a message from him sent directly to my video voice mailbox.

Finally, after requesting an audible voice call from him by text, I received a voice phone call; the repair shop I chose also emailed him and received no response. Needless to say, I'm very upset but thankful to have encountered all these Geico events during hail damage claims. I can not imagine what type of issues my family may have encountered from a collision involving bodily injury. As a result, on June 4, 2018, I informed Geico of having no plans to renew my policy on June 13, 2018. Although I still have several days left on my policy, my Geico app mysteriously stopped working and they know why. God bless.

The Geico rep added the car back on the policy (for 12 minutes my second car had coverage) but then said I would be charged $600 next month since they backdated my coverage charge but did not waive the coverage charge due to their error. The rep told me well if I had been in an accident, they would have covered my second vehicle even though it was not listed on the policy. (Yeah right!) I cancelled the policy and was told my last bill would be mailed out and not charged to my account. I wake up this morning and find a charge of $219. When I called the rep, she denied that I was told I would get my last bill mailed and refused a refund. Partly our fault but an inconvenience. Then I get a statement from them saying I had to pay a full amount of $2,445 in 2 weeks! Like who has that money? I called customer service and they said I was on a one pay plan. Um if that was the case then why was money automatically taken out last month??? No help. They proceed to talk to me in insurance person terms that make no sense to try to justify why I had to pay the full amount.

I’m not paying 2 grand. I don’t have that. So I ask for the monthly plan because this way I can pay on my own terms manually and not have to worry about overdraft fees. Sure but you have to pay $945 because we are “written with the state and are required to have monthly plan users pay 30 days in advance on top of their current bill”. BS! Finally I ended up just doing automatic payments with my other bank account that I know I’ll be good. But come on. They make payment plans confusing, hard and complicated and do not accommodate you at all!!! My mortgage is easier to pay than Geico. Stay away from them if you don’t want trouble!

I called Geico, and I get the same run around BS excuse as other reviews on here have stated - "increase in taxes in the state, account for everything... blah blah blah" I honestly think it's their protocol to say when a customer ask their rates going up.

Anyhow after talking to the customer service and claims, I was told in their system I was labeled "at fault, other". So I have reason to believe my insurance did go up with the accident that I was told back in Aug that it was "not at fault AND I won't see an increase in my policy" but it's ok, I saved 15% in my car insurance with ANOTHER COMPANY. =)

They are also great with customer service and they are readily available when needed for a claim. Humans answer than phones so there is no hassle of talking to computers. Adding new cars onto your policy is easy & changing coverage is hassle free too. Every time we add a new vehicle or change coverage, all we have to do is call and it's taken care of over the phone. When you are satisfied with your insurance company, there really is no reason to change anything.

However, they're unfair about the tow bill reimbursement. I didn't get a full refund. I wish they would keep their standards high for the customers and make sure to give the customer a full refund like they say they are going to instead of screwing people out of money. They also need to do more training with their employees about setting a standard for the customers they handle every day. Lastly, I would like more benefits. Still, my experience overall has been good. I am happy my policy is the same amount every month and not a irregular amount every month.

In deciding to drive for Lyft, I was concerned about how much more my vehicle insurance would be. Geico, who I had for my personal insurance, gave me a quote for the “commercial insurance” and I decided to keep them. When I paid them the first payment over the phone, he advised me that my vehicle would need an inspection by them. Not once did he say there would be an additional $56 charge after the inspection. I made it clear to him that I needed full coverage on the vehicle right away since I just bought the vehicle 3 months earlier.

The “inspection” itself was the woman at Geico walking around noting any little tiny ding or paint “chip” (hardly noticeable). The Geico worker was grunting “you parked in the back?” Like it was going to kill her to walk a few more feet (she had ridiculously high heels on. Lol.) Anyway, not once did she or the person I talked on the phone with before going to her say there could even be the possibility of an additional charge. Speaking to another Geico representative on the phone just now (and I had to call again today because the woman who I spoke to last night said she would call me this morning which of course didn’t happen) told me they had sent me notice in the mail of the increase amount. I haven’t received anything in the mail of course and they took the $56 out of my checking account already.

I’m lucky I didn’t overdraw my account, not knowing they were making this withdrawal. I told the guy today that they should check the phone call with the Geico rep when I paid the 1st payment, because at no time did he say there would or could be an additional charge to the 1st payment, only how much my monthly charge would be starting next month. I will be looking elsewhere for commercial insurance to drive for Lyft. Beware!

This is about a 25% increase. Nothing has changed (no tickets, no accidents, no additions, no removals etc.). I called GEICO to clarify the increase, a representative said the increase was an overall insurance rate increase. I called another company and their rates are lower. My advice, call your auto insurance company one month before the renewal date, find out if there are any changes to your policy. Do not allow the insurance company to automatically renew your policy. I was in a hit and run accident. From the first day I treated like I was a criminal. I had to contact the Texas Department of Insurance to make them handle the liability issue in a timely manner. I adjuster came out and spent less than 8 minutes reviewing the damages (the neighborhood watch seniors gave me that intel.) on my and refused to meet with me at the car so he did not see any of the warning code lights or drive the car. I selected RMS to repair my car after reading positive reviews on Google. My car was towed to the auto shop and I was told that I would be contacted the next day. 3 days passed with no contact. I went to the shop and was not greeted and had to go around to all of the desks and introduce myself and ask where my car was. I would have moved it but Geico refused claiming I picked the shop and it had to stay.

Glenn and Ali the adjuster had discussed how to mitigate the cost affiliated with the repairs of the car. I specifically asked Glenn if he requested work to be done through Ali the Geico adjuster and he said yes and the supplements were denied. When I called Ali the Geico adjuster he pretended he never talked to Glenn, ever. My car was returned back to RMS who performed the body work correctly but when I picked up the car. They still failed the check any mechanical issues although they reset several hazard code lights on the car.

When my car was ready at RMS I received a call from Ali stating that I needed to pay for my car rental because it was past 30 days since I had the rental. I informed Ali that I have a receipt from Enterprise Rent showing that I only had the rental for 6 days and why was he yelling at me and threatening me that Geico would not cover my rental fees? He failed to answer. He continued to be aggressive telling me that no more repair will be done to my car regardless of I think it relates to the accident. Ali stated a specialist was sent to view the car while it was sent to RMS for corrective body repairs. I was not contacted by that person or asked to meet them at RMS or anything.

When I complaints about noises coming from the car these were the excuse given to me by Ali the Geico adjuster. Although in 10/2017 I had all belts, brake pads and brake related stuff and for new tires, the accident was on 1/15/2018. I am still going through medical treatment and having to deal with the trauma of being rear ended out of the blue and the stress of a harassing insurance company. After having the insurance for several years I had to file a claim against my own policy only because it was a hit and run and they treated me like poop on the bottom of their shoe. I understand that insurance is a business but when it is your own insurance the expectation is to be treated like the valued customer you are not like you're trying to take money from the piggy bank.

Insurance is a must have. I don't care how many drive without it and save a ton of money by doing so, I will continue to give them my money. Compared to the other companies that send me emails claiming to be the lowest, no one comes close to Geico. They give me max discounts and believe me I feel I should be paying less but it is what it is. They have done me well for over a dozen years.

100% satisfied with my auto insurance policy after almost 3 years. Rates were the lowest. Easy to manage online. Every time I have contacted them, the question is answered quickly and correctly the first time. Involved in a very minor accident. Contacted Geico and they handled the claim for the other vehicle. Never heard from them again and no increase in the rate. However, can't say the same for the homeowner's policy. I canceled it after a year. Rates went up significantly and no claims were filed. Found a policy with another company with better coverage at a cost lower than the first year with Geico.

I contacted Geico on May 15/16 with regard to obtaining a QUOTE to add my daughter to my insurance policy. She is 15, has no learner's permit, or license and I just wanted to get an idea as to the cost. Much to my surprise, within a few hours I received an email stating that they had added her to my policy, without my consent. Again, she cannot drive and does not even have a permit. When I emailed them, no response was received so I called and asked to speak with a supervisor (Anthony, id # **) who said that "it's their policy to add anyone between 15-18 automatically."

When I asked him where I explicitly agreed to this he said that "I didn't, it's just their policy." I cannot just add people to my clients' checking accounts without their consent. This is clear fraud and when I asked for them to remove her from my insurance (even though I never asked for her to be added) they refused and asked me to provide them with proof that she was covered by another insurer. Again, she doesn't drive! I want a clear understanding as to how they added a non licensed household member to my policy without my consent under the guise of obtaining a quote. I would be happy to pursue this in the form of a lawsuit if that is preferred.

I have Geico, switched from Progressive for auto insurance. Geico had expanded coverage for an affordable price. There were cheaper options out there, but with scanty coverage. I got a quote right online through their website. It was quick and easy. I liked that no one called my house after I got a quote. I always feel harassed when companies do that. I compared my current coverage to the offered coverage so it would be comparable. But I can't combine my auto and renter policies, since Geico's renter's insurance is expensive. It was cheaper to keep my rental plan with Progressive, so now I have separate policies. I'd rather combine them.

What good does this do but them discriminating your credit rating and driving which are way two different things completely and your credit has nothing to do with how you drive or you been a great driver with 0 accidents in 35 yrs. The process of filing my claim went smoothly. I simply called them with details of the accident and provided the information they needed and that was it! The customer service rep was professional, cheerful, eager to help, spoke slowly and clearly in perfect English and reviewed details with me before ending the call. He offered his name and phone extension in case I forgot something. He called back the same day with an update. I was expecting a long wait on hold, or a rep with verbal dictation in English, being put on hold or transferred to 5 other people then getting disconnected. None of that happened. The rep immediately stated his concern for anyone who may have been injured and was calm and attentive to my anxiety. It went as good as it should be.

GEICO does not sit in a storefront and I'm comfortable with that. I used to have Allstate Auto and still have their homeowners. They're all into getting the premiums and not too interested in questions about your policy. Filing a claim with them is not difficult. But the follow-up is a little hectic. The claims office tries but sometimes it is difficult to get through the process. The claims agents take calls and make notes on existing claims, and start new claims too. It's sometimes difficult to get through and you either have to leave a voice message or call back. Other than that it's fairly painless.

I've been with Geico for 5+ years. I got into my first car accident July 2017 at-fault. And then another car accident in November 2017 whereas both drivers were at fault. Both accidents resulted with minor scratches on vehicles. Geico forgave the first accident due to my 5 year driving history however my insurance premium doubled because of the second accident (which the payout was more than the first accident!?). Forward 6 months later, I receive a "consent to rate" form to increase again. My insurance premium for 6 months is going from $395 to $1292. Per a supervisor at Geico, the underwriting team decided to give me a new contract.

However with this new contract, accident forgiveness isn't allowed therefore the first accident that was forgiven is no longer forgiven and it's now calculated into my new premium. Wait? Say what? That is totally absurd!!! I'm just appalled that they will take back a reward that was given because they decided to put me in a new contract. I see why the vision nor mission statement doesn't exist... its principles and integrity are based around itself, forget the people who keep them in business. But hey, I guess that's how they stay in business... constantly increasing everyone's premiums. Needless to say, I'm in the process of leaving them.

GEICO's system integrity is poor and their rates aren't as competitive as they market them to be. If you are not an "advance user" when utilizing a computer, do not establish or update coverage through GEICO online. Next, their customer service representatives in conjunction with their own server/system is not very reassuring. Either, or both may be the case. Their system may be outdated and their representatives are not equally trained in updating, modifying or getting a higher authority's opinion or ability to escalate and take additional action on the customer's behalf.

I had a self caused 1-car collision in inclement weather in 2010-11 I considered myself an advance computing user. But, two weeks before the accident, I assumed that my vehicle had full comp and collision, because I updated it online. At least I thought. So during my attempt at updating on their very difficult system to navigate changes. I found out differently when I filed a claim. I had full coverage on my older, less expensive vehicle and only liability on my later model, more expensive truck. GEICO knew they were experiencing trouble with their servers. Unfortunately, I never do a screenshot, because their system would not allow me to save changes.

Finally, what caused me to throw in the towel with GEICO was when I locked my keys in a rental vehicle when I was out-of-state. It took GEICO 3.5 hours to send a tow truck for assistance, on a bright and clear day! Moreover, they were charging us about 35% more for coverage. We never could get them to adjust our premium down for good driving. So we went with Liberty Mutual and GEICO called us one week later after terminating our policy. They told us that they can beat Liberty Mutual by at least 35%! That's the GEICO way. You can't trust their service nor their system.

My first Geico commercial auto claim was beyond disappointing and frustrating. Geico refused to lift a finger and pay to get my car moved so I had to stick with the shop I originally had it towed to. My accident happened on Friday afternoon and I reported the accident to Geico on Saturday morning. My adjuster didn't bother to prioritize me as a customer and inspected it the following Wednesday. My shop also submitted 2 following supplements and each time it took 2 additional days for a Geico adjuster to address. Coupled with my shop's delays, this company is equally to blame for the 4 week delay it took to get my car back!

Every time I complained to Geico all they did was apologize but never offered any resolution for me. The field adjusters and their managers are also very hard to get a hold of and no one ever calls me back when I leave voicemail. This insurance company is the worst with customer service. They don't even care that I was losing money daily since I drive this car for Uber/Lyft. Fast forward 4 weeks later, I paid $135 out of pocket to fix my brake lights. The delay and the hassle I had to deal with all could have been avoided if you listened to me when I wanted it repaired SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I've been enrolled on Geico Insurance for more than 15 years. I have never failed my payments on time. They started to increase my policy since 5 or six year ago because according to them, there was a lot of fraud in South Florida. After that, they are continued increasing my policy almost every year, without a real reason, sometimes because they made a police review for all clients, sometimes because other reasons. Last year, I had an accident (It was not my fault.). I was transported to the hospital and was in emergency room around 4 or 5 hours only. The hospital bill was around $4000, and I had to pay a deductible of $1000.00. They increased my police (six month payments) around $600.00 at that time and I had to reduce my coverage, on my cars and discontinued my insurance for my truck.

On May 2018 they increased my insurance again, because my insurance premium was under review, they said. I has had to reduce my insurance car again for a PIP only, to compensate the price increased. They are not solution with this company. They do not want lost any cents. You has to pay an Insurance car only to be under the Florida Laws, but you will be responsible, and pay from your pocket if you has any accident (It does not matter if you are guilty or not.). In resume, your Geico car Insurance NEVER will lost money, unfortunately, at the end, the money always become from your pocket. Thanks!!

Every year, I check out a few other insurance companies to make sure that I'm still getting the best bang for my buck, and Geico always comes out on top. It wasn't always that way; different insurance companies seem to offer better discounts for different situations. As it happens, I'm 58 years old (and I have an unblemished driving record) and Geico appears to favor drivers over 55, as I have been with them for three years. Maybe that will change when I turn 62, but as long as they can beat the competition, I'm sticking with them.
