This company is only fine until you get into an accident. I was dealing with Shawn ** in Las Vegas, NV. Minor accident that I could fix on my own. First the adjuster didn't cover all the damages and when I called to ask about it the guy was rude and the headaches started. Anyways I got the car fixed and paid out of pocket. It's been close to two months and I just got partially reimbursed after reporting them. Stay away.

DM of 5 Cities, CA. Geico was great until an accident occurred. In January of 2018, my parked car was hit by a drunk driver. I immediately filed a claim through the internet. I had a $500 deductible which they said they would collect from the drunk driver. I submitted all pictures and paperwork, then I heard nothing (crickets)! An adjuster called within two days and said claim was in process but he was two hours away. He called a few times to confirm I would be paid the KB quote and they would collect deductible, then issue me a check for the deductible.

The claim started in Jan. 2018, in March the DUI person's insurance went out of business. I still heard nothing, then they said they would pursue the deductible, but I still had no payment for my totaled car. I filed a claim with the Calif. Insurance Commission at the end of May 2018. It was only after I launched a complaint and inquiry that Geico called from headquarters on June 5, 2018 (several times) and tried to blame me for their delay. They still backed out of the paying me for the deductible and would not pay anything, but $20 on tires eight days old with less than 150 miles on them.

Today, November 15, 2018 I get a letter and an email stating I have not cashed the check I received for my totaled car. It was cashed and deposited May 17, 2018. They said in 30 days it will no longer be valid. Really? Who's on first? The lower cost is not worth the headache and long-term cost it takes you to do their job. I see now they have home insurance. Really? Why would I or anyone else use you when your company cannot take care of business or provide customer service. I never had one claim on my policy until the drunk driver totaled my car. I faithfully paid my insurance for over ten years. They made money on me, were not truthful and provided little to no customer service. I do not recommend this company and will never use them again.

My car was in an accident with a person who had GEICO insurance. His car was a company car so the claim went to GEICO Collision Department. The accident happened on SEPTEMBER 10. The adjustor came, filed his information, and GEICO was to send a check to me to have the car repaired. They told me it would take 7-10 days to receive the check. I waited 12 days and NO CHECK. After my outrage, they stopped payment on that check and re-issued a check which then took 10 days! So now it is 22 days later. I take the car to the Collision place to be repaired and they found additional damage. The adjustor went there and issued another claim and the collision company repaired the car BUT GEICO is doing the same thing. They said they issued the additional money to the Collision company and it would take 7-10 days.

It is now over 12 days and the collision company has not received the check. GEICO said that they will have to stop payment and reissue another check which will take another 10 days. It is now NOVEMBER 15 and there is no check and I do not have my car!!! I have asked over and over again for GEICO to send the check overnight, priority mail and I am told that they are not permitted to do that. I have a RENTAL CAR. GEICO is paying for a rental BUT I WANT MY CAR!!!

Does this make business sense? GEICO will pay over $900 for me to have a rental car but won't spend $25 to send the check by priority mail. IS THIS A WASTE OF MONEY? WHO PAYS FOR THIS WASTE OF MONEY? THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE GEICO INSURANCE. AND when you call there and ask for a supervisor, a supervisor is NEVER in the office. I want that job!! GEICO customers...find another insurance company because they are wasting your money. My accident was on September 10 and it is November 15 and I don't have my car.

My wife called in for service because her car wasn't starting. It took the tow truck over 2 hours to get to her. Thank God it was during the day and she was at a very populated gas station. It bothers me so much that it takes this long to get service when something actually happens. This is not the first time. This is the third time it's happened and we've only broken down three times. So all three times we've broken down or had car issues, it has taken absolutely forever to get help.

When I was at Allstate and I needed roadside assistant their service had to be the best I've ever seen. Literally, I called and within 20 minutes they were at my location. Yes, I get very good pricing on insurance, but it makes me wonder how great your insurance would be if something actually really happened like a car accident or worse. I will be looking for another insurance provider soon. I would like to stay with Geico, but whoever you use for the Charlotte area for your towing needs, needs to be changed. They are absolutely terrible.

I changed my car insurance to Geico a month ago due to the rate savings. Within 3 days of paying my premium in full I was informed I owed an additional 110 (for a 6 month policy) due to an added driver's record. I did NOT add a driver after securing my rate and my other household member listed on my policy has his own insurance with Geico and he has a safe driver CREDIT. I was told it was a mistake and they would fix it. No word... so I called again and after a few days and a lengthy explanation received an e-mail that I only owed them an additional $68 (???). Called again and was told it would be taken care of. Well it wasn’t. Today I called again as it’s been a couple weeks with no word from them besides the additional bill.

The explanation today was lame and the agent continued to speak over us. I felt like I was talking to a telemarketer who has a script to get through. I will be returning to my previous insurance agent locally. I feel like I was baited with a reduced rate that isn’t real. I gave them all the correct info up front. Apparently the rate mistake was theirs but they won’t own it... And they cannot explain it so that it makes sense. Tried to tell me the original rate was low due to my partner's longer driving experience. (He is 68... I am 60. Seriously???) Then it went up because of him on my policy? I can’t even imagine having to negotiate a claim with them. NO THANK YOU GEICO.

I've been with this company for over five years. Always paid my premium on time and they've made a lot of money off of me. I recently had an accident which I felt was not my fault or at least the other person involved was also responsible. The adjuster sent a letter through the email which had incorrect information which she didn't correct and she said she called, but left no message didn't speak to me directly. I had to call her, bad customer service. They're my insurance company and she made the decision it was my fault. She didn't even debate with the other insurance company she just made the decision.

They do not work for the client they work for raising the premiums! I figured my insurance premiums will now go up so I decided that's I'll give it to an insurance company agent that works for the client! Someone who takes a personal touch to take care of their clients! I do not recommend Geico! I should've asked her if she was working for the other insurance agency. She's ending up having Geico pay out money. They probably didn't have to and losing a customer not a good agent! I did figure my rates would go up because they raised them when I didn’t have any accidents and perfect record.

I was a very long time customer of Geico when My vehicle was sideswiped by a taxi. I was sitting at a red light in NYC when the speeding taxi barreled illegally along the far right lane which is a bus only lane and then cut across 3 lanes of traffic cutting too close and then bashing his entire driver's side along my front passenger fender. It was as though the taxi driver was trying to quickly get across to the left to get to a cross street on the left but not caring that it was a red light. Because I was in an SUV and not moving at the time due to a red light, the taxi however was wrecked. What a mess. The driver was a very rude and violent screaming foreign man poked his keys at me while he was a screaming. He was either mental or pumped up on some type of drugs. I filed a claim with Geico and from the beginning they promised that I was not at fault. Especially since I was sitting still at a red light minding my own business.

They assigned an attorney because they said that in NYC taxi companies have a dirty little secret when it comes to insurance. The city of New York and NY State allow taxi companies to be “self-insured”. That means that they can repair their own cars. And when someone has a valid claim against a taxi company the taxi companies always use lawyers to bully and smear and fight every collision involving their horrible subcontracted taxi drivers. But what it also meant for me was that Geico allowed the taxi driver to lie without challenge at his deposition and the taxi companies attorney to treat me like ** at my deposition. They were rude and despicable. Geico lawyers did nothing and said absolutely nothing to protect me when the taxi company lawyer began to badger me and make outlandish accusations that had nothing to do with the collision whatsoever.

Geico lies and is not trustworthy. After the whole mess of lawyers and depositions and calls and forms etc. the end result was that Geico sided with the taxi company and said I was 25% at fault. That was just enough to save Geico from having to give me back my $500.00 deductible which the taxi company should have been responsible for. Unbelievable. I actually believe that Geico violated my right to a fair and due process because every time I was contacted by an attorney for Geico it was a different attorney telling me that the previous attorney had moved on to a different case. Even the attorney who showed up at my deposition to represent me was a different and unknown attorney to me than the one that contacted me last before the deposition.

Geico or their attorneys kept sending me letters with my name misspelled and so on and every week it was a different attorney and there were several attorneys that came and went and so I could never really be represented properly. Geico in the end was a terrible disappointment. I was crushed. How could it be that I was sitting at a red light not moving when a crazy out of control taxi crashed into me and Geico couldn't defend that? Geico is tainted by something very sinister and will not do the right thing when you really need them. Geico is useless. Beware of Geico. Geico will betray you when you need them most!

Less than a year ago I switched to Geico and was very happy with my new service. I just received my next 6 month bill with a $75 increase. The representative Jessica explained that the increase was to cover the influx of claims and not because of anything I've done wrong. When I told her that wasn't acceptable she hung up on me and disconnected our call. Sadly I was about to bundle my homeowner's insurance with Auto coverage but now I guess I'll be shopping for a new insurance company instead.

I have been a loyal and longtime customer of GEICO. I have never paid late or missed any payments. They are a great company when processing claims and paying cannot say different in that. My policy has more than doubled. Almost tripled. I understand I was involved in an accident but the policy qualified for accident forgiveness as stated not only in my Geico login but by a Geico representative. Unfortunately, things happen in life and no one wants to have an accident but they do occur. If you pay an insurance policy for years you expect that when you need it most your insurance company will not take advantage to raise rates beyond your financial means.

I have had a perfect driving record for 10 years with no accidents and parking tickets. I recently relocated and decided to switch my car insurance to GEICO. However shortly after switching my policy, I was hit by a driver running a red light. A police report was filed and witnesses gave their statements and GEICO said I was not at fault. My coinsureds' car was hit by a driver while parked outside of our house. Luckily the driver left a note and cooperated in reporting it to the insurance, we were again deemed not at fault. However shortly after we received a letter stating GEICO was terminating our insurance. Despite the fact that I have a perfect driving record and none of the accidents were our fault--and all payment for repairs went through the other two drivers insurance policies, we have now lost our car insurance.

Apparently GEICO only wants to sell you their product if you do not use it, and penalize you if you do report. So just know, even if you are not at fault, GEICO will find a way not to pay. I have spoken with several supervisors at GEICO thinking this must be some mistake, but they acknowledge the accidents were not our fault and still will no longer insure us. I have unfortunately learned the hard way that GEICO is a scam.

I tried to call the claim agent, leaving him two messages. He did not respond. I called a third time and asked anyone in their department to call me back and another agent called me and I explained my situation again, apparently this guy has been coached by the first agent and he is stating the same that my statement has changed and they cannot act.

They hire the worst claim handlers, who have zero concept of customer service. Get it wrong, don't respond back if you want to clarify. I would give a negative 100 stars if it was an option! My husband's truck bed was severely damaged in a parking lot accident. We live in rural Oregon so their preferred Adjuster/Inspector was a 45 minute drive away. My husband took time off work to drive there only to arrive at his SCHEDULED appointment and be told that the Adjuster does not work there anymore. The body shop told him he was the 7th person that had come in that week! So we got on the phone with Geico and they got in touch with another Adjuster about 15 minutes away. He drove over and had the truck looked at and the man was "unable" to issue a repair check due to the claim being assigned to the other company that no longer worked in auto claims. He assured us a check would be mailed. He said once we get the check to cash it and have the truck fixed.

A week later we get the check and deposit it in the bank on a Thursday, it goes "pending" and clears on a Tuesday. Today is Wednesday and the truck is at an auto-body shop currently. I got a call from my bank that Geico put a "stop payment" on their check. The Adjuster DID NOT call me at any point about the stop payment or any issues. My personal account is now overdrawn in the thousands and my husband is at a repair shop 3 HOURS AWAY getting the truck fixed with ZERO money and an OVERDRAWN bank account. I have been on the phone for going on 2 hours with no resolution. So now we have paid $3800 cash to get the truck fixed and our bank is overdrawn by $3156... Leaving us at a grand total of $6956 out of pocket when it should have been our $500 deductible!!! They are offering to send a $2600 check through the mail... This is NOT a way to run a business! This is fraud and outrageous!

Geico's roadside department informed me that it would be three hours before a tow truck arrived and asked me if I felt safe waiting. When I told them that I didn't, the agent I was speaking with checked with the towing company before instructing me to leave the key in the gas cap. I did so. The tow truck arrived over six hours later at 11 PM, at which point I was called with the news that my key had been stolen. Despite having followed Geico's instructions, they refuse to waive the deductible for replacing the key or having the car rekeyed. The last couple agents I spoke with before giving up were frankly indifferent to the situation and blamed me for making the (uninformed) choice of leaving the key as their agent instructed me to. We recently had to file a claim with Geico because we backed over a large boulder and did quite a bit of damage to our vehicle. Working with Geico was absolutely painless. We were able to meet with an adjuster immediately to assess the damage, and we were allowed to pick our own shop to fix the damage. We went with our dealership and Geico just cut them a check to cover the repairs, minus the deductible. There was no waiting, and the customer service was reliable and friendly. Very pleased with our experiences with them thus far.

GEICO has been decent. The coverage is pretty good for the price you pay and many other insurers cost a lot more for a lot less coverage. The customer service is simply average. Once, I made a claim and was on hold for about 45 minutes, which is pretty ridiculous. But, hey, it's not bad overall and most others are worse, so I'll take it.

GEICO also has been very helpful when there have been accidents with other drivers on my account. They have always paid out for the repairs that needed to be done and it has always been a painless process. We tried Geico and were insured with them for 3 years. Each and every 6 months they raised our rates about $50. Each time we called we were told that unfortunately we must assume the risk for all other drivers accidents and bad driving habits. I have never had ONE accident in my life or ONE ticket and am 66 years old. My husband has the same good driver record. This last time we got our renewal they raised the premium to be $86 more each month and again we got the same song and dance. We also learned through some research that Geico had put us in a "high risk grouping" which allowed them to charge more. When confronted about this they had no explanation other than---you guessed it--they told us we needed to assume the risk for all other bad drivers on the road and their accidents.

As an aside they explained to us that with the newer cars the costs to repair have skyrocketed and all customers must assume the coverage of these costs as well. We finally understood we were being scammed and switched to another company who gave us exactly the same coverage in every area with exactly the same on/off periods for payments and all for $100 less per month!!!

I was trying to turn left in an intersection at the moment the green arrow turned yellow. I slowed down a little as there were pedestrians crossing the intersection, when a lady from the opposite side, from rest, hit the gas pedal and hit my rear bumper, apparently a deliberate action to compensate for her already damaged car. A driver who saw everything, voluntarily stopped and gave me his name and phone as everyone saw it was a scam.

After filing a claim with GEICO, and without even contacting the witness, GEICO came to the conclusion that this is a 50/50 liability, as I shouldn't be in the intersection when the light turns green for the other vehicles. That's a reasoning of a 5 year old kid. Well, not for GEICO. A left turn is a left turn, no matter what. Every time I have a question regarding my account or my insurance, what it will and will not cover customer support is always timely and answers in a professional manner! The coverage is extremely cheap, at least in my state it is. I will say roadside coverage is extra but it is very cheap as well for me. There have been a few times now when I have broken down on the side of the road and someone was there within 30 minutes or less to help me out, which I highly value as a customer!

The customer service has always been outstanding, but the real help for me was when my van was not worth fixing. I really didn't want to have a lapse, even though it may be a year or more before I have another vehicle. My agent told me about a "car-less" policy that would let me keep the basics of my policy without having a vehicle attached to it. I could still use it to rent cars or moving trucks, but the best part was not having a lapse in coverage. When I did purchase a new used vehicle two weeks ago, I didn't need a deposit for my vehicle addition, and my coverage was continued, so I kept the same rates from when I had the van 9 months ago. My dealings with the company have been nothing short of fantastic. Great company!

But, that's not why Geico is popular. Their extremely low rates are what propels that. I have friends who pay literally triple what I do for insuring their car - and don't receive better coverage.

She paid the fine and received a letter from DMV stating the issue was resolved. This was approximately 2 months prior. Geico stated they sent a letter to my address stating if they did not receive information in 10 days they would cancel the policy. Well this notice, if we received it, must have been filed with all of the other junk mail we receive. In any case the date passed and Geico cancelled not only my daughter's insurance, but all policies for our three vehicles, without any additional notifications (which they confirmed on the phone). I was without insurance for 11 days before I received a letter from the DMV. The DMV in SC charges a $5 per day for each vehicle without insurance from the date of non-insurance (totaling $165).

I requested a letter from Geico stating the fact that I only received a single notification before policy was cancelled, and they did not send any further notification that my policy was cancelled, so I can use this convince the DMV that I should not be charged the penalty. I have TWO incidents to report. The first one takes place after having my car in storage and picking the car up after flying back to town. The car is not even warmed when a police car comes plummeting down a quiet street at about 11:30 at night. I slow down that police passes me by. I approach the intersection in the turning lane on the left of a 4 lane street. The cop car in the far RIGHT lane gets creative and as the car in front of me has stopped, there's no car behind me, the cop Rams his car between me and the stopped car to make an illegal u-turn. Then he continues to go. I then go after him cause I'm trying to figure out why he has not stopped. He sees me and pulls over but will not talk to me or provide his ID. I call Geico and the person on the other line gets my info and is very sympathetic.

Next day I'm told after many questions that it is not my fault cop committed several code violations and not to worry. I proceed the following days to expedite claim cause I'm only here for the week and have too much to do. The next few days I get a call from the police dept that handles claims and she is expecting me to provide my damage and then I ask, "Hasn't Geico spoken to you?" and she says no.

I call Geico and they tell me that that they will go ahead and settle the claim with the police to make it easy on ME. I said did they threaten GEICO and she just as much told me yes. Needless to say, I'm driving around unable to collect and get my bumper replaced cause they would not make them responsible because my insurance let them manipulate the claim in the police favor--forget that they were at fault. (I had removed collision momentarily cause I was possibly selling my car this week on my return--now I can't).

I put full coverage back on my car cause it's damaged and I can't sell it to recoup what I can get... I'm coming back to town on a Monday a few months later. The person that is watching my car since I have been out of town calls me to say my car along with three others, my has been vandalized. It's Thursday before my return, I ask him did he make a police report, he says, "No you have to as the owner." He gets on the phone with me and we make a thorough report. I'm thinking GEICO will be satisfied cause I have a witness even though I'm out of town and it's a business.

I file the claim. They turn it over to an investigative unit. I'm thinking it must be because it was broken into--no it's because I put comprehensive coverage back on the car (which I thought was full coverage) and I did it two weeks before it was broken into. When I get this investigator she interrogates me like I was a felon, or something. Even makes the statement that if I'm caught lying about the breaking it's a felony---really? I'm going to lie about a vandalism. There are pictures and 2 other cars as well. Needless they asked for phone records. I gave them screenshots of text messaging when I checked on car and when I was sent photos of break-in. I sent the police report.

They are saying they need actual phone records -- my phone is part of a business so you cannot isolate and why put them through this nonsense when I have provided screenshots that's acceptable to JUDGE JUDY and all the other judges on TV. Then the investigator says, "well why did you get insurance two weeks before..." Duh... I wasn't covered... But why now and why before they broke in... That's why it's called insurance lady, just in case something happens. Did she check the call that said I asked for full coverage-- no. Did she notify me she close the investigation--no. Did my claim adjuster get back to me to say we are not doing anything further--no. Did I receive any compensation for the battery, window, the fixing of the others damaged inside the car---no. Silence from GEICO.

Called today, asked for the result. "Oh it was closed out last month from investigator." Asked two people about where it stands, "Well we have your adjuster get back to you. We don't know, it's in another level." Called these people supervisors and one says, "Well you did not provide what we asked AND you did not do what was necessary." So I asked, "What would you have done if someone is watching your car; it's vandalized and they call you and you are not in town..." "Uh, I don't know..." Exactly... You do the best you can, call the police with the guy on the other line to get the report. You can have Geico, I'm done.

MINUS -10 STARS!!! So about 2 months ago I received a quote online that was less than my current policy. Thought...this seems like a good deal so let’s do it. When I tried to establish the insurance I was told that my account was flagged and that they couldn’t tell me anything about it but that I had to wait for a paper application in the mail. First of all...who uses the freaking mail anymore? They were unable to send it via email for whatever reason and refused to tell me why I couldn’t do it online like EVERYONE else! Fine, weeks later no mail.

Called Geico again, again told same thing that they would send an application out. Finally received app in mail, filled it out, mailed it back, and nothing!!! I was told by “customer service” that it would take underwriting 2-3 weeks, however, I received no communication at all. Now after being given the “runaround” from the call centers I am being told that there is an issue with my application, oh and they have to guess what? Mail out a new application. How freaking ridiculous! It is exhausting dealing with people who are “unable” to discuss things with their other departments.

The right hand doesn’t ever know what the left hand is doing. In addition to this, they do whatever they can to get you off the phone and kick the problem down the road. After this experience I am extremely hesitant to give them any of my hard earned money. We have State Farm insurance. My wife and I were both, unfortunately, in separate parking lot accidents recently. Neither were significant amounts of damage, money and there were no injuries. Neither of the accidents were our fault either. In my instance, the other driver had State Farm insurance also. In my wife's accident, the other driver had Geico insurance.

Our experiences were very different. State Farm offered a generous list of approved body shops, including several dealerships that were able to appraise the damage, provide a rental car and fix my car in one stop. I took my car to the shop, dropped it off and drove off in a reasonable rental car and my car was fixed and I picked it up and it was a minimal inconvenience to me.

My wife called Geico and they told her that they had determined that their client was 100% responsible for the accident and they would be covering the claim. (So far, so good.) They then asked if she would like Geico to handle the claim or State Farm. My wife was (understandably) confused and asked what the difference would be? The Geico representative told her that we could file the claim with either company, but if we chose to use our insurance company, we would be responsible for the deductible and might not get a rental car depending on our policy!?!?

So we said that we would prefer to have Geico handle the claim since we didn't ask to be in this situation and the other person was at fault. We were then given a list of ONE body shop in Greenville (and the surrounding area) that Geico offers their "ARX" program where you can have your car appraised and fixed and have a rental car waiting for you - a shop that I have never heard of in the 20+ years I have been living here. It may very well be a good shop, but I haven't heard of it and there are no dealerships on their list. Heck, there is no one but that one shop. The other three "choices" were the same company in Spartanburg, Anderson and someone else I think, somewhere in North Carolina!

We went online to Geico's website to schedule an appointment to get an appraisal at the body shop where they have their adjuster, and found that it appears that the appraiser is only there on (some?) Fridays and they are booked already on most of them for quite some time. Or, at least it looks that way because there are no other appointments that are not grayed out on the calendar except a couple of Fridays. I remember when the adjuster came to you and appraised your car... and even State Farm's plan - which is very different, they don't use adjusters, they instead audit body shops and allow the body shop to do the appraisal if they are on their approved list - is much better for the customer as you don't have a separate adjuster meeting and since now they don't come to you.

We are now calling Geico to try and figure out how to schedule an appointment with an adjuster that fits into our schedule before Christmas while our car is damaged through no fault of our own because they are too cheap to offer more than one body shop in the entire Greenville Metropolitan Area and they don't have adjusters that come to you anymore and they are booked up because - well, they have only one body shop in the entire Greenville SC Metropolitan Area.

So, I hope the folks that are saving 15% (we did not find that to be the case when we wasted 15 minutes calling them some years ago to see) are ok with the fact that they are saving that money because their insurance company isn't going to provide them with good service if they need them. If this is how Geico works, it is no wonder they claim to offer lower rates - they do it at the expense of their customer's time, safety (driving around with a damaged vehicle waiting to get in to have the car appraised and repaired!) and convenience.

As you might imagine, I'm pretty disappointed in this. I was actually hopeful when we found out the person who hit us had Geico because I assumed it was a decent insurance company and we would not have to deal with any of this garbage. Instead, I'm finding that they are a bare-bones, low-budget, and uncaring insurance company that claims to have low prices, based on being cheap and not having options for repairs or convenience.

The reality is that most of us hope to never have to use our insurance companies and I suppose people are willing to save a little money and deal with a little more hassle in the (hopefully) rare instances when they do have to deal with the insurance company. But it is particularly annoying when someone who DOES have decent insurance is forced to deal with a bare-bones, low-budget insurance company like Geico because they are in an accident with a Geico insurance customer. The nice lady who hit my wife ended up with more damage than we did, and I can only imagine what they are dealing with right now too. Maybe their experience will send them looking for a better company in the future.

I can't say that State Farm has been PERFECT because they have increased rates over time and raised deductibles, but I CAN say that when you do have a claim, State Farm handles it far, far better than Geico has done so far with us. I would never even consider Geico now, based on this experience I will continue to enjoy their cute lizard - gecko commercials and grumble about how lousy their insurance is to anyone who will listen. But I won't ever be calling them to waste yet another 15 minutes of my time to see if they are cheaper than my current insurance company, because I don't care if they are cheaper - I would rather have good service than cheap service.

I went online to get a quote to see what the price would be to add my daughter, who lives an hour from me to my policy, in case she wanted to use my car when she visits. They added her to my policy without my authorization and refused to take her off because she is between the age of 16-19. They said the only way they’ll take her off is if she doesn’t live in my household... She doesn’t live in my household! But after I explained that to an agent, she said it doesn’t matter if she lives with me or not. Are you kidding me?!? My rate almost tripled!

I canceled my policy the day before my payment was due and now they’re trying to tell me I owe them $97 for my daughter being prorated on my policy. Um no! They will never get another cent from me!! Geico is the worst insurance company ever! And to top it off the agent told me they will contact my new insurance company and let them know I have a teenage daughter, so don’t be surprised when my rate goes up with them.

After an accident I had a dispute with another person who lied about what happened, we both have Geico, I was surprised there is a dispute, but facts and common sense were on my side, Geico adjusters though do not want to follow such a nonsense as a logic and facts check. Neither they will to put a little effort in investigation other than recording the statement and decide what benefits company more. I mean I had an experience with other insurance, but I tell you if I get in another accident with Geico insured driver, the only way I will talk to them is through my lawyer. So as you might guess after they falsely accused me on inattentive driving or something, and I spare the details, just believe me the story they followed with is just ridiculous, I had to pay a deductible for my car repairment. I followed with Geico recommended mechanic shop and that was a mistake number two.

Basically the shop included fender and bumper job on the invoice, however they just painted over the scratches and my fender is still visibly bent, I mean you can clearly see it from the front! I showed it to both mechanic shop employee and Geico representative and they both told me they can see the problem. Now guess if they decided to go ahead and fix it? No concerns were raised at all, and now I'll pay the full price for the real job to another shop. The result: my car is being repaired at my own expense, after an accident which was not my fault, the record of the accident is still going on my record and my premium is going up. I had much better experience with eSurance (they are also cheap the first year) and Progressive (expensive, but seem care). Do not use Geico, and if you are unlucky to have a car fix with them, do not follow their recommendation. They choose the shops which charge them less, it doesn't benefit you.

I have been a faithful Geico customer for 9 years. Last month, for no reason at all, they decided to double my premiums. Their reasoning was my son was involved in an accident (not at fault, other ins. company paid) and therefore everyone under our policy was suddenly a risk. I called and canceled my policy, only to have them deduct the premium from my bank account. Their policy is to hold your money up to 18 business days, I was told. After much hell-raising, they did refund my money after 5 days. They had no right to take the money in the first place, as I no longer had insurance with them. They were not helpful at all. I am now with Nationwide, at less than the original premium I was paying with Geico, and we are not considered a risk.

I got into a car accident in the past. Geico told me it was towed. We had the car parked and Geico was suppose to come get it. We got a 10 days notice before the state towed it. The police towed it after 3 days and took my tag. I got a new tag but now that its time to renew it I have a hold on my tag for the tow. Now Geico's saying they gave me the money to fix. They paid me off for the truck so we were waiting for them to come get it. It was suppose to be their car. But I can't get no tag until they pay the bill.
