The process on the telephone was easier and the guidance was perfect. I have filed my damages awaiting to get the receipts for repairs and future remains. I have uploaded the pictures and I have started some repair including new flooring from the living room to the den and I purchased a new hot water heater, flooring, paint, ceiling fans, light fixtures until the contacted explained that it was mold.

I like how Assurant does it. I have no complaints and I do recommend them to others. There are a lot of really nice manufactured homes in this area and not a lot of providers for the higher end structures so when people complain about theirs or ask me about mine, I give Assurant a reference.

To whomever: The process for filing a claim with Assurant, my renters insurance company, was simple and quick. All required documentation was simple. Assurant's easy-to-use software let me submit all my documents electronically, saving me time. Fast claim processing impressed me. After providing all the required information, my claim received approval within three days. Throughout this process, claims adjuster Mr. ** was professional, empathetic, and thorough in explaining the next stages. The compensation for my personal property losses was fair. My upstairs neighbor started a fire in their apartment and the sprinklers went off and flooded my apartment. It was horrible. My daughter and I are displaced for a few weeks while my apartment is being repaired. My neighbor upstairs has State Farm and I have Assurant. I was given the run around just to file a claim. The link they sent me to fill out didn’t work. I can’t get into my apartment so they say when I do take pictures of my damages. Any appliance that is damaged has to go to a repair shop and I must receive a slip stating the appliance is irreparable. Doesn’t matter that they were flooded with water. It’s not free to take to repair shop so I must pay and then they’ll reimburse me afterwards. I’m staying in a hotel and they would not pay for me to stay in a hotel. I had to pay for the hotel send them the receipt and then they paid me back. I had to borrow money to pay for the hotel.

Excellent coverage for satisfying my lease obligation. The premium is very affordable. Been with Assurant for 5 years. I have no reason to switch over to another coverage. They are at the ready for any claims. They have 24/7 assistance. You can get a quote for any dollar about coverage instantly.

The process has been smooth and when I had questions the representative was calm, polite and professional. Assurant has been easy to work with and I never have felt blown off or rushed. The representative listened and helped me and even asked if I had any other questions, concerns. Assurant provided great customer service and if they continue to do that customers such as myself would continue to do business with them.

We had a claim due to a burglary, and this started out as super stressful, emotional and overwhelming. Mary was our claim specialist and made the process easy and quick. She was so helpful and great. We will be upping our policy worth, as Assurant was very easy to work with as well as trustworthy.

Flood Damage from hurricane Helene to garages, exercise room and bathroom in garage as well as three rooms in house including family room, back door mud room entry area and entry loggia / pool room. The adjuster came quickly and sent his report to claims manager timely. We received a check very shortly thereafter with guidance on how to apply for more if items were missed or costs underestimated.

Easy to use for us older people … I hate using computers so this site made it easy to file my claim. I hope more people use the site and not be afraid of it being too difficult. I have to take pictures of the damage still but most of it already got taken away by the garbage company because the time was so hectic I didn’t think to take pics of the damage .. so remember to take pics people.

Excellent customer service, and when I was in need of policy changes that I couldn't accomplish on the website I called the agent and had a very pleasant conversation detailing all the upgrades I did to my home and required additional coverage. It was a terrific experience with the agent who honestly was very empathetic to my new needs. The agent did a great job in helping me and I'm grateful for the agents experience and guidance. Assurant is a very nice, dependable, awesome company to have. We find no fault in this company. They answer all questions that are ask, very thoroughly. We only used this company one time since having them as of 2014. They are very professional, very loyal and care about their clients and their clients well-being.

Hurricane Milton took out our power & all the food went bad. I evacuated & didn't come back until 2 days after the hurricane when I thought it was safe to come back. I am out of work due to the hurricane so I need to replace the food & it was really easy to do everything online late at night.

My coverage was explained in a manner that was very clear, and my claim was processed fast and completed fairly. All my questions were answered in a timely manner. My claim was completed and the check was deposited into my account in less time than one would expect after such a large and destructive Hurricane.

First time I ever experienced a storm. I lost power almost a week. Both my deep freezers and refrigerator food went spoiled due to no power. I rented a house short term and they charged my credit card for Assurant Renters Insurance for another year and a half beyond my move out date. Dealing with them now to get a full refund and will update.

It was very simple to obtain the coverage I needed. It was definitely user-friendly. I wish all online purchases, etc. were like yours. Assurant provided great examples, exactly what was required and what was optional. The price was very reasonable. I also liked the payment options and I found the deductibles to be less than I expected them to be, certainly considering the cost.

The process was very streamlined, quick turnaround time. Just had to submit a couple of pictures and some information by the next day. I had a response. A week later I was for the food that I lost. There was no need for an adjuster to come out. Pictures were sufficient enough for the company. Received follow-up letters explained in my policy and claim information within a few days

I suffered Lost and spoilage of food do to power outage that lasted a week. It was a bad experience, but you made it easy. I thank you for that. I will recommend you to my friends and family, I am glad my apartment complex suggests you, to all of its tenants.

My house burnt down in July. My daughter was injured. The insurance agent was awesome at getting back to me in a timely manner. Even helped with an extension while I navigated everything lost between myself and my boyfriend and kids. She even helped me by asking questions about things I had not put on my claim to assure I was getting the full reimbursement allowed. Made sure I understand each category and always checked on how my injured kiddo was doing and healing along the way. I couldn't have done this without all her help and her ability to explain how claims work and what to expect along the way. Best insurance company I could have hoped for given we had just bought the home 3 months before the fire happened.

Was able to renew my policy with the customer service agent and change my payment method. The updates I received via email alerted me that my previous payment method was no longer valid. With brief discussion with a customer service agent, I was able to change out the payment card and get confirmation that my policy was active

Didn't quite understand the renewal amount so I called and the agent explained it more clearly. Very happy with Assurance. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for renter's insurance. Roof Damage. Leaking to the inside of the master bedroom bathroom and Structure to a glass patio door from limbs of a tree that had to be removed to hinder further damage to the property, water damage cleanup from the den area and yard area. This is an early response to prevent further damage.

I filed my claim, had the adjuster call within 2 or 3 days. He came to my home within a week to do the inspection. Arrived about 15 minutes early. Assessed the damage and explained what his findings were. Received a call about three days later that the claims department was reviewing it. I received a reasonable offer which I accepted. Very happy with their service.

I received a Notice of Cancellation of our policy AFTER my check was cashed. It was Saturday so I could not call to see what happened. My husband and I are disabled veterans with PTSD with depression and anxiety disorders. That weekend was hellish, worrying about our coverage and not being able to talk to anyone until Monday. My check was sent in plenty of time and you delayed posting it - but you jumped at the chance to send that upsetting cancellation notice. I cannot find the words to describe what that did to both of us. At times we were on the verge of panic attacks but dared not take extra medication for fear of overdose. HOW IS IT that you can send a cancellation at Light Speed while dragging your feet to post a payment? You caused us needless emotional distress that was incredibly difficult for veterans like us. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

It was very easy to file my claim with Assurant, and the website was very user friendly. Had no problem downloading the pictures of the damage to my bathroom. Their response was very prompt and now am just waiting for the adjuster to give the ok so that my contractor can start repairing the damage.

The process was very good, have another property next door that is insured with Liberty Mutual, they are refusing to pay, think the shingles are heat blisters which are all on the north side which doesn't get the direct sun. Don't use Liberty mutual which I originally bought Safec and now is Liberty Mutual.

I am concerned that my policy explicitly states it doesn't cover damages from floods. It is well known that the complex I'm living in, Eatoncrest Apartments, can have major flooding in the Spring and Summer months from heavy rains. I wish there were a way to add that coverage so that I can have better peace of mind in case that situation were to occur. Other than that, Assurant has been very understanding. I had forgotten to make a monthly payment and my policy had lapsed. But, I was able to make a payment and continued my coverage without any gaps. Thank you, Assurant!

Customer service was top tier. As soon as my claim was processed, I was contacted and connected with my adjuster. He called within the next 24-48 hours to get more details about my claim. He wasn’t able to talk to me because I was at work. He left a voice message and sent me an email to update me on the process. Once I submitted all requested documents I had my payout within a couple of days. Thank you.

This is the worst insurance of any type that I have ever had. The adjusters are in Florida. I live in Virginia. They do not care at all about your claim. My adjuster denied my claim in less than 24 hours before doing any investigation or sending someone out to our home. After speaking with a "supervisor". A gentleman came to the house stating that he was sent by Assurant as a third party vendor they use as an adjuster. He took pictures, etc. I know that he can not make the decision then and there, but he said over and over, "You absolutely have a total loss of use."

I had no problem. The person that I talked with was very nice and answered my questions and concerns quickly and was very happy to help me with anything information I needed. I just wanted to make sure my payment was received for my records. Just you let you know I'm not sure what to put down for the "Order Number".

Had an issue with the master bathroom which flooded and destroyed majority of the belongings underneath the sink. I filed a claim and got approved same day!! I thought I would have to wait and answer more questions. Assurant has surpassed my expectations and deserve 5 stars from my experience with them.

My insurance adjuster Mr. Timothy ** was extremely patient and professional throughout my claim process. He worked extremely well with myself and my primary insurance claims adjuster to ensure my account information remained secure and advised me throughout on the best practices throughout as the consumer. I was advised that I did not need this supplement in my mortgage but insisted it be added. The costs of NOT having this added would have been overwhelming.

This company has been nothing but outstanding from the first time I ever started using them as a Rental Insurance Company. I have to get nominal liability insurance for my new apartment. The application process was quick and easy. The payment system was very easy and the payment options clearly defined. The premiums seemed not expensive and I have now been able to obtain my insurance for my property rental with little fuss. There are options to upgrade the current insurance if necessary which is good to know.

Satisfied client for over a decade. My only complaint is the online system would not allow me to enter the interested party information. I had only owned my house for about 2 months when the hot water tank had failed. Assurant covered leaking hot water tank but mostly I am happy about the support when my neighbor's house burning damaged my house. My home repair included siding, window, soffits, eve troughs and some roofing. The payment for the repair was to me in six weeks.

I am currently in the process of putting the renters insurance Global P&C team's feet to the fire as they have been giving me the runaround for almost 2 years. After a very scary and violent home invasion in which I was the victim they refused to pay out or even recognize me as a human. It's absolutely devastating and one of the nastiest experiences I've ever been a part of, and that includes the reason I'm even dealing with them being my home invasion. I have gotten $3000 back after losing $120,000.00 worth of my goods and things I worked my whole life for! The fact one American can do this to another for their company is crazy! People need to have some dignity.

It was horrible. I paid my renters insurance every month for years. My house were done because of electrical and they wouldn't even call me back. I got nothing. Had to live with my aunt trying to call them to get nowhere. Do not recommend. I will never get renters insurance again because it's pointless.

Ease of obtaining policy. Speed of documents. Helpful agent with obtaining the proper coverage I needed. Home is not in a flood zone and agent was able to omit the coverage for flooding. I have had this policy before on a previous home and would recommend for anyone with a modular home.

So I hope that the claim process is done quickly and smoothly. I have had no problems with Assurant at all. Assurant also has great renters insurance rates.

Little more information as to how procedure works in the beginning would have been a little bit more understandable. Such depreciated value would have to be paid out of pocket. That once check is received where it goes and why I receive it first then to lender.

After being a victim of theft, there is some comfort in knowing that you have insurance like this. The customer service called me and guided me through further steps. They were very understanding and helpful. It gives me a relief that I never thought would be possible after so much anxiety and pain that this has caused me.

This is the worst place ever. I filed a claim way back in May, only to be given the runaround and now we are in August. I turned in everything possible that they asked for. The adjuster Julio was frantic from the start because he was backed up in his work! He lied, and lied for months about what was going on with the claim. Not one time did he bother coming out to assess any damages or property loss. I have reached out to Julio A, his manager Alex H, His manager's manager Marlin V, and another manager Hombero G. I have not got any return call, update, information or any of the above. You can call for days and get no response.

I'm a resident of Rosenberg Tx and went through 9hrs of hurricane beryl. During the night we had a power surge that fried my electric items. My deductible is more than the damages but I'm a valued customer with them over these years. I never thought I wouldn't be left out in the dark to replace my own items out of my pocket.

Very helpful during a highly stressful time. Guided me through everything I needed in a quick phone call and was patient with my being a first-time renter/claimer and also in the middle of the move across country with a toddler. (If I had to find a negative, there was some confusion during the calls with thinking it was my husband's phone/policy and there were a LOT of calls I missed due to family life, but it was trying to get info or keeping us informed so take that with a grain of salt.)

I had received great customer service from agent! She was very knowledgeable about the facts of this claim. She was understanding and patience. She took the time and answered my questions. Bank information was received to her, accurately inputed correctly, her attitude was very pleasant. She was gracious to help.

I filed a claim for a large leak that originated in the apartment above mine, soaking my entire bedroom while I was at work. My adjuster, Jasmine, called me and I submitted everything as I was told in early February 2024. I asked for a confirmation (multiple times) that she had received everything and never heard back. For weeks, I assumed she had everything, but after a while I started calling and emailing to make sure. She LITERALLY never once answered her phone, returned a single voice message, replied to an email or text message. She later claimed that I hadn't submitted the photos and then she mysteriously found them. A couple of months went by, NO contact, left two voicemails for her manager, hoping he would call me back and still nothing. They finally denied my claim saying that they couldn't figure out the source of the leak, even though I told her this the first time we spoke (we spoke three times in three months).

I live in "Tornado Alley" and am so happy knowing your "Assurant Insurance" is there when I need you. Your website makes it so easy to pay my monthly payments, it is a user-friendly website all around. I like all the different options that are available for the customers to choose from.

My experience with Assurant beat.nt was enjoyable. I have no complaints about the inspector or the adjustor. My inspector explained everything that would happen, and it did. My adjustor told me about the payout and how I would work—just as he said it would happen. I would recommend this company in a heartbeat.

The policy was worth it and never had a problem with it. Plan on renewing for the price and the customer service out of the two other places weren’t as good. The last insurance company gave me problems with customer support and I had to jump through hoops to get them to pay for my TV when it was stolen despite several attempts to get customer service to help with the transaction.

Adjuster came out in Timely manner and inquired about damages, took pictures, measurements and explained the process. I was told that if I had not heard from them in 2 weeks to call the adjuster and they would look into it for me. Check was insured as soon as process was done. This is the worst company for renters insurance. Don’t waste your money or your time. I had sewage backup and water issues from the rain and weather, and they have a scheme for every problem - to not pay you! I had to leave my house for a month and they still found a way to not pay me because it had to be an Airbnb. Run from this company, they are the worst! Just like every other insurance company, they just want your money but when you need help, they don’t want to help you. Worse company ever dealt with in my life!
