    If I could give them a ZERO I would! This was the worst experience of my life! I cracked my screen on my phone, FIRST time I've ever had to use my insurance in over 10 years! Mind you, I pay monthly for insurance! Paid my 100.00 deductible and get new phone sent out, spent 3 hours redownloading my stuff through the switch app and factory reset MY old phone to send back and come to find out the NEW phone was DEFECTIVE! The internet and WIFI did not work! I ended up calling my cell phone company (US CELLULAR) to explain my problem (since they were my provider) and they apologized for insurance sending me a defective phone and offered to send me another one covered under warranty. Well that whole experience was awful too. Needless to say I NEVER got my deductible back and couldn't even use the phone they sent me AFTER I already deleted ALL my info from my other phone!

    I had made my claim and received my device and the device sent to me is useless. The camera doesn’t work. The flash doesn’t work. When I called to make the claim you guys made a mistake and were going to charge me more than my deductible. Then when I received my device it doesn’t work. I called to let you know the device wasn’t working properly. Gave me a run around as to who is going to replace it. Now I have to go to Apple and get it replaced. Paid $249 for a phone I would eventually have to take back. You guys are scammers and your company is trash!

    NO star, if that was possible. I was eligible and received confirmation from both Assurant AND T-mobile for an instore Virtual Jump Replacement of my phone that was stolen. When I got to the store at opening the next morning, I was given the runaround for an hour and a half, denied a JUMP, and had to wait for a replacement to be shipped! TERRIBLE service! With absolutely no remedial action from either T-mobile, who I have been with for 17 years, nor Assurant... Needless to say, I'm taking my business, and dollars, elsewhere!

    The person who took my claim over the phone was very help and calming, I would give her a raise. Received the phone quickly, excellent rating. Wish, I could upgrade via Assurant, I'm due :).     Overall my experience was hassle free, easy to complete, and consumer friendly. If there was one thing to improve on it would be getting the replacement phone quicker. If you do not have a temporary replacement phone to use until the claim arrives it would be very inconvenient to go several days without a cell phone. Most people use that as their primary mode of communication today.

    Very bad service, my phone broken screen, call insurance for replacement. This is Samsung S8+. I expect a new phone, but insurance keep send me a refurbished phone, bad quality, burned screen. Called in for return the phone. Agent Carrie said will send a new phone, but never happened. Called in back again, other agent said Carrie never filed a re-send new phone. New agent said she can't request a new phone, it's up to warehouse. 7/29/2019, received a second phone, replacement, but the phone still refurbished one, weak battery... What a point of collecting my insurance for 2 yrs, and $99 for deductible, then send me a refurbish phone? I can buy an S8+ refurbish phone for around $150. Terrible Assurant Insurance company... I wish whoever read this rating, think twice before spend money buying this insurance.

    I lost two devices that were fully insured. I submitted two claims and after 4-5 days they got approved and was charged $249 deductible per device. They were both scheduled for next day delivery received tracking info. I tracked them next day. They showed delivered (driver released front door) but there were no packages. I contacted FedEx which said they were delivered and then called Assurant. They said they would escalate to a higher department for investigation. Not even a few hours later they say they will be unable to reship devices. I then asked for a refund. They said they aren’t unable to and my only option would be to mail a letter to Corp to see why it was denied or for a refund. I’m livid at this time. Got Corp's info and sent them a letter which Haven’t received a response after about a week and a half after letter delivery.

    Not sure if packages were delivered to wrong address or someone took them from my front door. Point is I still have an active insurance on those replacement. I’m able to do 2 claims per line a year and was willing to pay the deductible once again and they denied me. Told them they need to require signatures for package delivered to avoid these type of issues. Still waiting for a response at this time and haven’t even used my lines at all since 7-11-2019 because I don’t have devices.

    Less than a week after receiving my replacement phone, noticed phone charge would not last long in addition to screen commands were not working properly.

    Made contact with Assurant. Talked with 3 representatives including a supervisor.     Beware when purchasing this warranty. It is not worth it. We have several phones insured by Assurant. They were all purchased at Costco and it seemed like a good idea at the time. I have had nothing but issues trying to deal with them. In the past 2 months I have had to replace 3 of the phones on our plan. Of these 3 phones, 2 that we received were not functioning within the first two days of receiving them in the mail. I am not sure what QA they do on the phones but it is obviously not very extensive. I had to send the replacement phones back. I could not access the screen or settings so I had to remove the lock via another device.

    When they received the replacement phone back they claimed that the lock had not been removed and charged my credit card $575 for the iphone 6 (not even worth that amount). I called to get them to help me remove the lock and refund the charge. The best they could do was to refer me to Apple who promptly said they would need proof of purchase of the phone to remove the lock. I do not have proof of purchase as this was the replacement phone Assurant provided us. Assurant said they would send me a letter to help resolve with Apple but I am still waiting. I would have been better off just purchasing a new phone. Don't waste your time or money!!

    Assurant you have really screwed over your clients to receive that dividend. Here is a true example as of 8/1 look at your claim # **. I will be leaving T-Mobile once I get this issue resolved just so that I hope to never have to deal with Assurant again.. Your customer service is extremely deplorable, unprofessional and please empower your customer service folks to use just the common since GOD has given them please. Allow them to think. I have provided everything possible that I am who ii say I am, I have had T-Mobile actually on the phone and called Assurant on 3 way no resolution. I went to the T-Mobile store called T-Mobile on the phone then called Assurant Customer Service on 3 way. So lets look at just that.

    (1) I am in the T-Mobile store showed my ID to verify that I am who I say I am. (2) I call T-Mobile Customer Service while standing in T-Mobile store with the Rep. (3) I call Assurant on 3 way with the T-Mobile Rep on phone and standing in front of T-Mobile in store rep. (4) I am told by Assurant to send a copy of my bill for verification, I do that right in the store and its sent to Assurant. (5) After doing that the Assurant rep says I cant see if you sent it to us or not it goes to a different department. (6) I have to wait 24 hours to prove that its me actually making the claim. (7) My bill has no way of showing that its me as its a company account. (8) I wait 48 hours go back to the T-Mobile store, get T-Mobile on the phone call Assuarant back on 3 way and we are told that they have not yet received the email that was sent from the T-Mobile store to "Assurant.processing.center@assurant.com" so claim submitted on 7/29/2019.

    Here we are 8/1/2019 and Assurant is saying they still don't have the email that was sent to them. I have sent it literally 64 times since 9:08pm on 7/29/2019 and here we are at 8/1 still no update to my claim. All the while I sit without a phone that I need very bad for work. Now here it is 8/1/2019, whenever Assurant gets the account verification info that they asked for I am told it will take 24 hrs to process then a phone will be overnighted.

    T-Mobile who I pay my bill to everyone is extremely confused as why all account verification streams have been met to the utmost proof as possible and Assurant is still waiting on this copy of my driver's license and the bill that doesn't even show it's me that sent it. So how and why would they want to have a copy of the bill that 80 pages long of all my clients phone numbers etc... to use as proof that I am who I say I am. So here we are 3 days later still no phone even in the works to ship as I am still just trying to get through verifying that I am who I say I am on my account.

    Upon receiving a new phone based on the circumstance I’m V. Satisfied. Upon reporting and filing the Claim, T-Mobile and ASSURANT could be better at working together. When I asked for reference #s or repeating reference numbers... Both T-Mobile & ASSURANT support seems very thorough to change both numbers and characters. This made me feel angry and helpless as my only option at the time was to verbally give my: Name, DOB, BILLING ADDRESS, LAST 4 of my social and other precious information.

    I was asked to repeat these important numbers not once or twice. But 4 times in a matter of 30 minutes in a crowded store in DT BROOKLYN. So, long story short... if I pay money to T-Mobile (& on-time might I add) I expect transparency from T-Mobile... and not a ‘run-around’ from ASSURANT. Thank you for the replacement phone. Both companies should serve customer satisfaction with better grace. Again, thank you for the new phone.

    My experience with you guys was off the charts excellent!! The only issue I had with the entire process was it took a week for the claim to be approved.. Once I called and asked what was holding up the replacement device they found the issue and I received my replacement phone the very next day.. The only thing I don't like about the replacement device is it didn't even come with the user manual or the key for the sim tray or a charger..     I broke my phone and called the company for replacement. They sent me a replacement device which was covered in plastic and placed in a box without original packaging condition. I spent some time to transfer my data to the phone and started using it. But I noticed that many features of the phone is not working, I called them again and they mentioned to keep the original and send back the one I received and they will send me another one. Later I realized that they replace the phone with refurbished phones not new ones, and that is not what expected from the COSTCO since I trusted COSTCO when I purchased the plan and didn't expect to receive refurbished phone.

    After I received the second phone I sent back the original one the same day, but I although they mentioned that I should keep the phone till I received the new one but still I keep receiving emails that why I haven't returned, this kept annoying me and also took my time again to call them. In conclusion I wasn't happy with the service from this company at all.

    I'm a plumber and was called to Wet n Wild water park early one morning to repair some backflow devices on soft drink machines before the park opened. I was working alone, or so I thought, in one of greasy spoon restaurants they have at this filthy, stinking, ** water park, with my phone playing my favorite music, when I realized I needed more parts for this repair.     My husband tried to file his own claim (I'm the account holder) because it was his phone that broke. The amount of information they needed to verify (billing address, security number, social security number, etc.) the account made this impossible for him. He asked me to file the claim to make it easier. Then when I started filing the claim, they were asking me questions specific to his phone (storage capacity, model, how it broke, what still works on the phone, serial numbers, etc.).

    I, obviously, do not know all of this info. In addition, the awful customer service rep was rolling a candy around in his mouth the whole time. I understand Assurant doesn't want people filing fraudulent claims, however, I think the vetting process is a little over the top and ridiculous. I called back two more times because their "convenient" website to check claim status was extremely minimal. I got his GB capacity wrong the first time and had to call a third time to clarify. If phones weren't so expensive, I'd avoid having insurance just so I wouldn't have to deal with this company. Nothing about the process, customer service reps, or result made me want to recommend them under any circumstance.

    I was very dissatisfied with the service and the person who completed my claim. He advised that I had to talk to an manager at the T-Mobile store on 2725 SOUTH PERKINS ROAD MEMPHIS TN 38118 to get my phone sent there.     I got my Note 8 with T-mobile. I took it everywhere even to the beach and recorded underwater with no problems. Then I dropped it and it was ran over by a car, filed a claim and got another one. Me thinking it's the same exact phone, it got wet not like submerged just splashed and the phone doesnt work anymore. So I called Assurant to tell them how my water resistant phone got water damage and they told me they can't help me if the phone has water damage but I'm like how a water resistant phone gets water damage after a splash. They sell you a refurbished phone without telling you and then that refurbished phone isn't even up to par with their regulations. I am definitely seeking legal advice and PEOPLE DO NOT TRUST ASSURANT. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU JUST YOUR MONEY.

    I lost my phone in the beginning of July (around the 9th) and I called around 11 am to put in a claim. They told me it would be guaranteed next day delivery via UPS and then I will receive a confirmation email within a few hours letting me know my phone was on the way. So after checking after I got off work around 5 PM still no email so I called and they told me they needed more verification information and I had to send a picture of my ID front and back then they can proceed on and send out my new phone.

    After submitting information still no email so I called back and they told me they haven’t received it and if I could submit it again. I’ve submitted it about 12 times. Still no email. Finally around 8 pm I called back another time and they say to submit it again then say they found a previous photo is that I submitted. The next day I got a email saying my phone would be delivered the next day! (July 10th) which was untrue because I didn’t receive my package until July 12th.

    I activated my phone which they had sent me and it was barely charged so I plugged It in and left it home and went to work. I got off around 7 am and the phone still didn’t have a charge. It was stuck on 7 %. (From 8pm until 7 am the next morning.) Also forgot to mention that the phone screen would freeze and glitch out when in apps and wouldn’t let me download any of my previously purchased apps unless I was on WiFi. (It would say turn cellular data on which was already on.)

    When I receive the package it says I have 14 days to return if there are any issues so I called on July 23rd which was less than the 14 days and the representative told me there was only a 7 day period. I said no I have the paperwork right in front of me stating it says 14 days after. The representative put me on hold at least 4 time and going back and forth with one another he then stated they would send me out a new iPhone. He says I should get the email with tracking number within 24 hours to send the defective device back. I didn’t receive the email until late the next day after all the post offices were closed. So I had to buy a package and sent the iPhone back that Thursday around 9 am when they opened. (Costing me to spend more money.)

    I waited all day thinking I was gonna get the confirmation email saying my new iPhone would be in the mail. I didn’t get anything. I then called early Friday morning and the representative was giving me the runaround and then finally seen in the system that my defective devices was returned. He then says I would be receiving it that day say within a few hours the new tracking number for my iPhone . I STILL DON'T HAVE ANYTHING!!! I am highly upset.

    So I called back around 5 Friday. And the representative is telling me that I should receive something by the end of the day 8:30 pm eastern time! So I asked when I will be receiving my new iPhone and she told me Tuesday of next week! (SO MUCH FOR NEXT DAY SHIPPING.) It will be a week since I put the claim in if I get it on Tuesday! This is absolutely ridiculous and unfair to the paying customer!!!! I will be posting to every rating site to warn people not to insure their phone with them!!!!

    Also they told me there is nothing I can do about my phone service being credited for those day because of the issue. They go on to say I would have to completely cut my phone off and then reactivate it when I receive the phone to get the credit. But I need it on so I can at least get voicemail from family and friends and my children’s schools!! I don't know why they made the switch to this insurance company. They absolutely suck!

It arrived and we were called to pick it up at the store. For some reason we did not know the phone had water damage which we did not know because the phone never came in contact with water. Just because the color inside the phone changed we were not able to get the phone replaced. We were never given an alternative solution so now I'm stuck paying for a phone that I can't receive calls on. I will never recommend T-Mobile to anyone. I don't think it's fair at all. I am not rich. Paying for something that doesn't work is not right.

    I had my iPhone XR stolen in Barcelona and immediately put in a claim to receive a new phone by the time I landed back in the states. The phone I was sent had a locked IMEI and could not be activated through T-Mobile. I only found this out after going back and forth on the phone with T-Mobile and Assurant for around four hours. They tell me they will send me a prepaid mailing label to send the defective phone back, and they would ship out a phone the next day.

    After 8 hours of not receiving a return label, I call them and they tell me it will take 24 hours to EMAIL me the return label. I haven’t had a cellphone in 6 days at this point, so I send the phone back in the envelope they provided when they shipped the phone. I call them around 3:00 PM after I shipped the phone and ask to have a new phone sent. The women on the phone says she has made the claim, and the tracking information should be on the way. I receive no emails regarding this, and I call back around 4:00 PM and ask to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor informs me that the customer representative put in the claim wrong and that she would take care of it. She said I should expect a tracking number in a couple of hours, and I can track it on the website.

    At 11:00 PM, still no tracking number, and it is not available on the website. I call Assurant back, and I am informed that the phone has not left the warehouse yet, and they should ship it tomorrow and I should receive it the day after it is shipped. Assurant guarantees next day delivery on claims approved before 8:30 PM, and yet, they had not even shipped my phone. This company is absolutely ridiculous. I will not use them anymore for insurance, and I’m telling everyone I know that has them to look for other options.

    My Samsung revvl 2 plus got stolen June 2, 2019. I put my claim that same day & paid the 49$ deductible. 2 wks later receive an email stating they don’t have it in stock so waited for my reimbursement. I got the reimbursement, so I was informed if I go to the store to purchase another phone they would reimburse me 7-10 days after the claim is approved long as I send in the documentations (receipt). I purchased a new device on July 1, and sent the documentation the same day within hours after I purchase the device.

    I was “suppose” to get the reimbursement check July 17, nothing came. I called Assurant customer care on July 19 stating they will rush the check and I would get it July 24, my mail came no check. That same day I received an email stating the check on the way which should of already had it since July 17. I called them today and now they saying Friday July 26. This company is so messy it’s so ridiculous. Almost 2 months later my problem hasn’t been solved except I came out of my pockets to buy a new device. I wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy, smh.

    This was my first insurance claim with Assurant. My only complaint about using this company's service, is their delay on processing returns. I dropped my broken phone in a local Fedex drop box on 07/02/19 at 3:00pm EST (I have video proof). I called on 07/09/2019 to make sure the broken device was received. I was told that it was in their warehouse. On 07/17/18 , I got a letter in the mail dated 07/15/18 stating they had not received my device. 07/18/19 I got an email thanking me for returning my device. Why did it take 16 days from the day I dropped it off, 9 days from the day I was told the package was in the warehouse, to process it? I'm glad I was not charged any penalties. Other than that, every person I talked to was great! Very pleasant and knowledgeable. I hate automated systems, so I do what I can to speak with a human being.

    I have experienced quite possibly the worst customer service of all time from Assurant and still have no resolution. My phone was stolen so I started a claim on Apple's website and put in all the info I could but as I am traveling out of town, I did not know the shipping address at the time since I am staying in hotels. Upon getting to my hotel and diligently finding the address, I went back to Apple's website which directed me to Assurant's website to continue the claims process. When I entered the claim number which was emailed to me when I started the process with Apple, I was met with: "We're sorry, we can’t locate your claim. If you entered information above, please make sure the appropriate option was used (Apple Dispatch ID or Case ID, whichever you received). If you’re unable to proceed, please call us at 877-406-4554 and a Care Specialist will be happy to assist you."

    After around 6 chats and phone calls with Assurant people and multiple calls and a 25 message email thread with Apple (who involved every different group they could think of including website engineering) it was determined that Assurant's system, as the pending claim is out of Apple's system and coming to Assurant's, was to blame but still the CSRs at Assurant told me that there was "nothing that could be done". This is a laughable answer as it is not an acceptable solution to an insurance to simply say your system isn't working and not give me another phone as this is a clear contractual breach and not a valid excuse. So now I am stuck without a phone, hundreds of miles from home while incompetent, uncreative and uncaring CSRs from Assurant tell me that theres nothing they can or will do to help. I have no recourse at the moment and am putting together the materials to file a small claims court suit against Assurant. I do not want to do this but this seems like my last option as neither Assurant nor Apple will help me and I need a phone immediately.

    I file a claim due to a broken cell phone in January 2018, returned my broken phone by mail and received a refurbished phone. In April 2018, T-Mobile placed a charge on my account for $318.12. When I called, they said that Assurant never received my phone. Luckily, I had saved the receipt at the USPS with the tracking number. Assurant agreed that they, in fact, had received the equipment and that the charge, placed incorrectly, was going to be removed within two business cycles. In June 30, 2019, the charge was still there. I left T-Mobile due to the inefficiency not only on their customer service but also the awful customer service at Assurant. Their employees are not well trained. I was repeatedly received wrong information. One of the representatives even laughed at me at how many phone calls they have in records is everything was due to their wrong process and false information.

    After one week of issue escalation, they stated that they had received the wrong equipment, that the series didn't agree? WHAT??? After 6 months, this was new for me, I only had that phone and that was the only device I sent. They refused to let me talk to a supervisor, and they hung up on me when they said they were going to transfer my call to a supervisor. They also send this balance to collections when they mentioned several times that balance was not going to affect my credit since it was their fault. They lied to me during months, and they stole from me $318.12 with no reason. If anyone knows how to get a hold on a regional manager or someone upper management, please let me know. Their customer service reps are just idiots.

    The absolute worst insurance service I have ever had to deal with. I even had T-Mobile on the phone with them 2 times and it took the second time to get any results. Took 6 days for them to even make a decision and the only reason they did was because I had T-Mobile on the phone with me to handle them. I was more disappointed because in 5 years I never had a claim. And the one time I did all I kept getting was runaround. Eventually they paid the claim. I will never suggest them to anyone.

    On 7/2/19 minutes before vacation, I dropped my iPhone 7 in water in SC. Made Assurant claim before 8:30p same evening. Was assured I’d have replacement delivered in NY next day. 7/3 missed delivery. 7/4 FedEx sent it back. 7/13 I’m told claim is denied because phone is still in use. Impossible. No one can provide proof to me how the phone is being used. Ended up purchasing an unwanted XR at reg price just to have a phone on vacation.

I called Assurant and they said I would get a replacement within 24. After paying 150.00 dollars 36 hours later NO phone. Then they send out a refurbished phone that just turns off for no reason and won’t turn on. I call from 3000. Miles from home and get a total we don’t care from customer service. I have to have a phone. No question. I had to go buy a new phone from T-mobile to leave town again: what a bad program. Zero stars. They made me do it for the review.

    I accidentally had my phone damaged due to a go kart incident. Now I have full coverage etc but had to pay a fee. No problem. I went to file the claim and had to deal with multiple issues and then when I finally get another phone it’s giving so much darn issues. First of all I wasn’t able to get a temporary phone until mine would be mailed back and all they were concerned about was me telling them how damaged the phone was and how to send it back. I told them I needed a phone to continue my cancer treatment and stay in contact with my doctor and they said they weren’t able to help me as I will have to wait and then they made an error with misinforming me of my claim and that delayed my phone getting to me in time. I had to wait long to get a damaged phone and my phone wasn’t even old.

    I am just gonna do my business straight with Apple as they would have given me another phone or a temporary phone till they would be able to solve the issue. It was a lot more to it but I will be writing forever. I hate this service and to think I am paying for insurance to deal with garbage and get a darn phone that’s not even working. Why even put in another claim to wait forever and get another piece of crap. Just my experience. Don’t judge your experience base off of mine. Everyone’s experience could be different. Will cancel my insurance and take my chances. Paying all that money over the period of my phone and to pay additional money when you put in a claim and to get a crappy phone in return. No thank you.

    We sent the damaged phone back using the box FROM Assurant, using the carrier (USPS) dictated BY Assurant, with the tracking number issued BY Assurant... and now because USPS still hasn't delivered the package (we can see in the tracking number it's still in transit) Assurant are saying that WE are going to be charged. How on earth is this anything to do with use when we have EVIDENCE that USPS received the package (again, the carrier that Assurant dictated we use). Instead they are saying we have to pay the fines and sort it out with USPS (that they made us use). What a load of bollocks. Literally NO point having insurance through them. T-Mobile needs to get a new company.

    I dropped my phone and cracked the screen. I called and filed a claim. The representative was courteous and they offered me a "refurbished" phone. I felt that after paying monthly, 100 deductible, and purchasing a 900 phone a "refurbished" phone shouldn't have been an option. I wanted my phone to be fixed or have a new phone sent. After this I canceled my insurance and will put money on the side for any future mishaps.

    I was able to return to the warranty replacement process after putting my initial call on stand by for 2 weeks. I submitted my replacement request on a Friday morning, and was told the phone would ship on Monday. Not only did the phone ship the day I called (Friday) but I received the replacement phone by Monday at noon.     I filled a claim for an iPhone 6 Plus that started to have issues with the screen. It would randomly call numbers, text and open up apps and I was at one point not able to make or answer calls or reply to open or and any messages. I had this phone repaired for the same issue and Apple repaired the screen. I was told at the time that this was a manufacture defect for this model iPhone. The associate told me if it happens again to file a claim and tort should replace the device. Well as I stated earlier the claim was filed and I had to wait 4 days no expedited shipping was offered from your company. Once I received it not even a week but 4 days the phone that they sent to replace my had the exact same issue!!! UNACCEPTABLE because I was charged $100 and your company sent me broken phone with the same issue.

    My device has been paid off and I pay the insurance on my device. As a company that provides replacement devices why isn’t there process to test these phones before you place them on a shelf to send out to clients. This is such a misrepresentation of customer service. Why are you continuing to recycle out devices that you are clearly aware have a manufacture default. Your company is clearly misleading consumers. I had to call T-Mobile to report the issue and wait another 4 days to get this device replaced and I also had to pay a warranty fee that should have come from the $100 that I paid. I am writing a formal complaint to your corporate headquarters as well as the Better Business Bureau. Your company needs to take responsibility for such neglect.

    I am not a fan of Assurant. I ordered a replacement phone and was promised overnight shipping. 4 days later I call to ask where my phone was and was met with the equivalent of an "oops" with another promise of overnight shipping. 4 days after that I'm typing a 1 star review for them on my "overnighted" phone that took 8 days to get to me. This isn't my first horrible experience with this company, it's just the first time I've written a review. For a $250 "deductible" you'd think that they could at least follow through even slightly on a delivery of services rendered. No such luck. Believe me though, if I were a day late returning my damaged device, they would have immediately charged me a ridiculous amount of money! Too bad that doesn't work the other way around!

    I cracked my phone screen after dropping it in a parking lot. Within an hour my claim and payment were processed, and a new phone was on the way. It was at my door in about 24 hours. The live operator with Assurant was wonderful, though their initial phone system was very lacking. The computer system used to sort my call (take basic information like phone, email, details about incident, etc.) could not understand human speech and after repeating myself, the understanding was even worse. This was the only frustrating part of the entire process. Otherwise, I recommend their insurance and service.

    I was told by Spectrum to call them. The man who answered told me I didn't have insurance on the phone and I was trying to scam them and told me to return the new device when in fact I did have insurance. I was on phone over two days a total of seven hours and Assurant sent me the wrong phone and would not call Spectrum so the Spectrum rep did finally do a three way call and I was told to keep the wrong device and sent the damaged one which was a cheaper iPhone x. This was by far the rudest service I had received.

    My son went swimming with friends and didn't remember to remove his phone from his pocket prior to jumping into the pool. The phone was submerged for several minutes prior to my son realizing why one pocket of his swim trunks was heavier than the other. The phone cover was removed and the phone was put into uncooked rice to try and pull the liquid out, to no avail, then phone wouldn't even turn on. I contacted my cell provider, they gave me the web address to file my claim. I filed my claim online, paid the deductible, the new phone arrived in 24 hours.     Please know that you are insuring the phone line, not the phone you are purchasing. My son broke is new iphone XS; I found out when he came home from college. In the interim he was using an old phone. I tried to file a claim - at first I was not certain when the incident occurred. I assumed it was recent so I guessed at a date. 5 days later I received an email that they had denied the claim. I spoke to my son about it and found that he had broken his phone on April 6th. So I phoned the representative back the day after my original claim was denied with the correct date. I was told that I only had 90 days to make a claim. I was 10 days over. Why would I put insurance on a phone line and not a specific phone. Buyer beware. I not only did not get the service but I found out that I have been paying for insurance on a way old iPhone instead of the brand new XS I had purchased.

    Called Assurant after dropping my new cell in the driveway. A few questions, deductible paid, and my new phone was on the way. They ship quick and secure. Your local store location can help you get your new phone set up if need be. I called back again, to verify all they needed returned to them was my broken phone in the prepaid envelope they sent me. Both phone reps were very friendly and made the experience as pleasant as possible. Never want to break your phone, but hopefully you'll receive the same service I did from Assurant.

    Assurant declined to honor my phone insurance and will not tell me why. My son lost his phone more than two weeks ago and all they say we can do is write them a letter. This is crazy. Customer service says it was declined by corporate because of a "conflict". What conflict? I have paid for phone insurance on all my phones for the eleven years I have been a T-mobile customer. They have very happily taken my premiums but now are refusing to honor the policy. There is no possible reason for them to decline this policy and I believe this is why they are refusing to inform me what the alleged "conflict" is. My next step is to file a lawsuit for fraud and bad faith. I am going to make sure they don't rip off anyone else in this manner.

    I recently lost my phone and have been calling my insurance back and forth for almost a month. They made me jump through all sorts of hoops and when they finally sent me a new phone it wasn't even the right phone. It then comes out that they no longer have my phone in stock so they sent me then next thing they had laying around.

    In all of my weekly conversations never once was it discussed that they wouldn't have my phone in stock, nor was I informed I would receive something else, let alone given any kind of options as to what kind of phone I would like. It cost me $150 on top of the amount I pay just to have the insurance for a phone that costs less on the marketplace. T-mobile wouldn't even let me exchange it for more than $45. On top of all that, T-mobile doesn't even give me service for the new phone in my area so the replacement is essentially useless. I feel I have essentially been robbed.

    The customer service was awful. It seemed no one ever wanted to listen to my concerns and instead kept repeating whatever script they had in front of them. At one point I had to get my father on the line and the insurance lady rushed us off because it seemed she no longer wanted to deal with the call. When I spoke to T-mobile about my situation I was told I would need to buy the newest phone on the market in order to receive full service coverage, which would cost me nearly $1000. Not only am I returning the phone for a full refund, I will be cancelling my insurance and T-mobile has likely lost me as a customer.

    I was devastated when my phone simply stopped working or taking a charge. I called Assurant, and was told to expect a new phone within 24 hrs. They upgraded my phone from LGX Power 2 to a LGK30 with increased storage space. I took the phone to the Xfinity store, as the phone would not come on to allow me to extract my data. I was told that the charging port had shorted out. Staff was very helpful, and I was functional again in no time! Very rare to find a company with integrity!! I was quite impressed.

    I bought my son the Galaxy S10 plus for a Birthday present in April and 2 wks ago it fell out of his pocket and hit the floor. The whole bottom half of his screen was pitch black. Just the bottom half. Lol...we called Assurant and made a claim and had the phone the next day. I was ready to wait a week if not more like in the past and I thought we would have to send his phone in before we received the replacement but we didn't!     The customer service experience was great both times I called. The 2nd time I called was about the replacement phone issues and my returning phone questions and the customer service agent was excellent and very helpful.     I pay 15.00 a month for this cellphone insurance. I have for years for several different phones. Not one time have I ever filed a claim. The one time that I do, "its under review". And I'm stuck waiting. My phone was stolen from my bag at a theme park I started my claim on 07/02/2019. It's been close to two weeks and it's "under review". In the meantime I'm using an old phone and keep getting the runaround from customer service. Going forward I will find a third party company instead of getting the insurance through T-Mobile. It's a scam and as a customer I feel cheated.

    ‪Assurant is a joke! They send me a defective Apple iPhone (mic doesn’t work) & now they are saying that they can’t ship me a functioning device until I ship them the defective one back. I don’t understand why I need to be phone less for 2-3 days for your guys’ mistake? ‪It’s clear that Assurant isn’t running the proper tests on refurbished devices before shipping them out. So how can I trust that the “new” device will even work? Are we gonna have to do this again?‬ ‪It’s not even so much about being phone less, but on the reason for it.     My phone was stolen when I was helping a friend move their stuff. I called Assurant that night and the customer service I received was fine. My device came in two days, but it was a refurbished device! I lost a brand new Galaxy S9 and received a refurbished device. Fine, I turned it on and found that there was a burned afterimage on my screen. I contacted Assurant again to inform them of this and they told me to send my device so they can send me another device. I was hesitant to do so but I agreed. They have not sent me a new mailing label yet to return the device. So I've been paying for their insurance for 5 years and they send me a refurbished device that has a fault. I'm two seconds from cancelling my insurance, but I don't want to upgrade yet. I do not recommend them and I wish T-Mobile did not use them for insurance.

    Having misplaced my device and to return to find it gone, I recently had the device replaced via Assurant. I was pleased to find that my device was replaced in a timely manner however the replacement was a refurbished phone! Having paid the $250 deductible for a pre-used phone did not really sit with me well. Now about a week and half after activating this refurbished phone, I am having problems with the microphone not activating when a call is made or answered. Seems as if I just purchased someone else's problem!

    Story has a twist but a good one. My phone HTC11 went dark after I had it in my sports bra and I was gardening for hours on a hot summer day. The sweat killed it. I called Assurant, spoke with fabulous "Lulu" and they replaced it within 24 hrs. Now my phone shockingly came to life as I wanted to transfer contacts to new phone. I decided I'd rather have my deductible money back than the replacement phone AND Assurant had no problems with the request. "Des" processed everything and just said to send back new phone and once they have tracking number of it being en route, all will be handled within 7-10 business days.     I have been paying $8.00 per month on coverage for my phone since I bought it. My phone display was severely damaged and at the time I did not have money for the deductible. I continued paying the insurance and recently filed a claim. My claim was denied and the reason given was that my device was not covered during the loss date. I have been paying for phone insurance since I got the device and the amount I have wasted could have bought a phone replacement. I am reconsidering staying with T-Mobile for a fourth year because of this. I am wasting over $100 dollars a month on mediocre phone service and insurance service that gladly takes your money every month but will not replace your phone when it is broken and you need to use the service.

    I had a broken device, and asked claimed a file. Firstly, they said they will ship it back the next day, but after I called, a different person said the device is in backlog. And they do not know when they will get it. I got my device after 10 days. 2 days after getting the device, the replacement device itself was not working. When I called Assurant, the first person said that, as soon as I ship the broken replacement device, they will send me a new device. When I shipped it called them on the next day, a different customer service person said that they will only ship after they RECEIVE the device. Every time a different customer service rep tells you a different thing. And finally when the device got delivered, they again took 3-4 days to send out the device. It has been 20 days, and I do not have a replacement device. I wish T-Mobile used a different insurance provider.

    It's been such a hell experience! They sent me a replacement phone that was a damaged, and because I've sent the initial phone that was damaged back I have to lose all my sentimental text messages and what not because in order to receive another phone the other has to be in transit. I lost my aunt a year ago, and now I'm bummed because I will lose all my text messages between her & I. I've been waiting to hear back from a manager for a week, and also when I do call to speak to them they've been so rude. I wish that I never paid for insurance, because it's been such a stressful process!

    Assurant sent me a phone that had a crack in it and was not noticeable until you were on a white space. Hence, did not notice the crack until after the 7 days that you have to send it back. The crack got worse. I called to tell them and unfortunately it is past the 7 days and they would send us out a new one if we pay another $99 for something that was not our fault. I am so disappointed in this company and am so upset that we are stuck with this company since that is the company that T-Mobile uses. What a horrible way to treat a customer that already paid $150 to replace the phone and then you said a damaged phone. Lovely...

    Assurant sent me a replacement phone that didn't work. They told me the only way they would send me another one is if I would file another claim and pay another $100. I was without a phone for 4 days until I contact T-mobile at one of their stores and they took care of everything. They verified the phone Assurant sent was defective and they had me a replacement phone the next day with no paperwork and no cost. They even inspected and tested the phone before I picked it up. This is why I've been with T-mobile for 23 years straight and this is also the reason I won't be using Assurant anymore.

    We switched from Verizon to T-Mobile about 8 months ago (November 2018) because of the wonderful military plan they offer. On June 10th my daughter's phone malfunctioned. I took it to the T-mobile store the next day. T-mobile rep couldn't get the phone to power up and since we had purchased Bring Your Own Device insurance on her Verizon Moto Z Force phone, they instructed me to file a claim. I called from the parking lot. The lady I spoke with took the info, but later that afternoon I received an email stating the claim had been received.... for a Nokia Zine. Ugh. So I called the next day, and they supposedly updated the make/model. Got an email saying the claim for the Moto Zine was declined. Double ugh. Called again and explained it was a Moto Z Force, by Verizon. They wanted the IMEI number. The phone was dead, so I called T-mobile for that info. Called them back with the IMEI.

    Thought all was good. Got an email saying my claim for some other model Moto was being processed. Can they get any more incompetent? Went to the T-mobile store (again). Got Assurant on the phone and the T-mobile rep spoke directly to them and explained what model it was. He also managed to get the phone to power up briefly, so I was able to verify that the IMEI number on record was correct. The claim got approved (finally). Received the replacement on June 14th. Used the package and shipping label provided and mailed the old phone the next day. According to USPS tracking, it arrived June 19th, at 12:40pm.

    On July 8th I received a letter dated July 1, saying Assurant had not yet received my return. Ugh^4. I immediately contacted Assurant and they looked at the tracking info. The rep saw that the package had reached the warehouse, so I was placed on hold while she contacted them. She informed me that the IMEI the warehouse worker scanned did not match the one associated with the claim. I told her that simply wasn't possible. I know the number was correct, and I certainly shipped the right phone. She insisted it wasn't, and informed me I would be charged full replacement cost. I inquired about the allegedly "incorrect" phone, and she said that it would have been refurbished and sent out.

    Let's stop right here. That's theft. If (big IF) it somehow was magically the wrong phone, why wasn't I immediately contacted? Why didn't they send it back to me, explaining why they wouldn't be able to process the claim? Why didn't they set it aside as evidence that I'd allegedly sent the wrong phone? If they are going to charge for the replacement (and fail to honor the insurance contract), what right do they have to steal a phone from a 12 year old child?

    I contacted T-mobile immediately after and explained the situation. The lady I spoke with was sympathetic. I assume from other reviews and the overall reputation of this fraudulently company, that this happens often. I'll find out tomorrow (July 9) whether t-mobile will have any more success than I did. Regardless of outcome, I will be cancelling coverage for all three phones on our plan, and going with SquareTrade for our future insurance needs. A report to my State Attorney General's office may well be in order. If Assurant succeeds in ripping me off, they will have banked 8 months of premiums, a child's phone, and will have stolen an additional $700 from the family of an active duty airman who is currently deployed. Stay away. Stay far, far away from these conmen and thieves.

    1- Had to call them to finish the online request to replace my phone (broken screen). 2- Phone arrived in poor condition -- charge port didn't work and GPS defective, which is discovered while on the road for vacation. 3- My broken phone was mailed back to them before I knew this. 4- Their response was for me to send their replacement phone back to them and once it's in transit, they'll send me another replacement - MEANING no phone until new one arrives and I lose data that's not on my SD card because I don't have the phone to transfer data.

    I begged and pleaded for them to find another way even though they were rude and lacked any care of the issue. I asked them to charge my T-Mobile account for the phone (they can't do it) or even better -- charge my personal credit card (they can't do it). Excuse after excuse for a baseless policy... The resolution came from T-mobile. They replaced under the warranty for the new phone. Once we returned from vacation, the new phone was waiting at the local store. NO THANKS TO ASSURANT! Oh and yes, I cancelled their warranty.

    Oddly. They sent me an email thanking me for choosing them. I didn't. I don't have an option for other insurance through T-Mobile. On top of that, my deductible for the phone was too high considering I've never had a claim in 12 years. Then they sent me a broken phone. Then when I tried to get it fixed through them, because they're the ones who sent the broken phone, they sent me back to T-Mobile. I've been without a working phone for two weeks because of their terrible service. Let's see. 10 years * 12 months * $15= 1800. Then they charge a deductible. Then send a broken old device. Then refuse to help after that.

    Lost my phone and called my mobile carrier to get everything situated with insurance. Had to pay $249 for insurance on a lost phone. I received it quickly, which was nice, but as soon as I turned it on and got it going it was overheating. It got so hot I couldnt even hold it. I thought maybe it was just because I was downloading a lot and didnt think about it again. Put my Otterbox on and while charging it another day my case was super hot. Unplugged it and immediately called my mobile carrier and had it replaced. Just a pain to have to set everything up yet again and try not to use the phone they just sent me. That phone should've never made it past the QA department and to a customer. I've had other experiences with this company that were not bad at all, but this particular review and rating is based on my most recent.

    My tablet, phone, and laptop got lost, it was frustrating to lose all devices, however I thought since I had insurance on all the devices it shouldn't be such a pain to recover all. My phone and tablet was insured through Assurant (T-Mobile). I went to the store and the sales representative called the insurance company, and the customer care specialist said I had to pay $398 to get both the phone and tablet, I was to pay for it after 2 days and the tablet came in the next day, I was really excited at the speed of delivery, so I thought maybe the phone will be delivered in 2 days as the customer care specialist indicated.

    After 3 days I became really worried that the phone had not arrived, so I called and they stated that the phone was back ordered. I was annoyed, why was I given this this information when I made payment. However, I decided to wait for the phone, after a few day a customer care specialist contacted my mum (who I listed as an alternate contact) and stated that I have to get a new phone because they don't have my phone in stock. What I am still trying to understand is the purpose of have insurance when I have to pay $250 for the phone and still buy a new phone for $900 (which I did not budget for).

    I called customer care to tell them that I don't have the money to buy a new phone and I need a phone, the arrogant lady just said there is no5 she can do about it and I asked if I can speak to her manager, she just hung up on me. So now it's been two weeks and no phone. So please tell me again, what is the point of using Assurant to insure my phone. Very horrible service.

The next day I called via local T-mobile store and was ran through a verification process on another claim. In the end the same thing happened. "No longer being processed." That was great. However, I received a different color phone than I previously had, a color I never would have chosen. I then called into Assurant to speak with an agent who transferred me to the Warranty Department, only to receive a message advising me to call in.     I have always had Assurant to cover my phones over the years. I was robbed and had to get a new iPhone. I called Assurant and did the claim and paid a 250 deductible and received the phone the next day only to have nothing but problems with it. I even went to T-Mobile and also called Assurant. For what I paid them for the insurance and the deductible I could have bought a brand new iPhone. Now I am stuck with a used refurbished phone. Not worth the money and they will do nothing for me.     For some reason after making my claim I never received the email they advised after making my deductible payment. I went online to check the claim and was advised to upload my ID. Did that and was then advised to call as they needed more info. Was told by a rep that my claim was under review and would take 3-5 days to process. I need my phone now! Not 3-5 days... Needless to say, I never had this issue with Asurion. I'll just cancel and go into the store.

    Called Assurant about replacing my grandson's phone which he had damaged. They told me what I would owe for the new phone and I paid with a credit card and two days later he had his new phone. All that is left is to return his old phone which will be done tomorrow.

    VERY DISSATISFIED with Assurant's handling of my claim. My device needed a repair. I purchased a specific color device as part of my brand. Assurant did nothing for me, was unhelpful, and still hasn't refunded my money. I am extremely angry that I pay for useless insurance.

    Had to get my son's phone replaced. It accidentally got smashed. Went to our carrier, T-Mobile. They gave me the number to Assurant to place a claim. It was very easy to do. Received the phone the next day. Thanks, Assurant!

    I had my phone stolen from my workplace and realized it quickly enough to get to my T-Mobile store within 2 hours. My first claim, which took over an hour at the store, appeared to go well and I was told I would hear from Assurant within 24 hours. I had Protection 360 on the phone, but still had to pay a "deductible" whack of $149, which I reluctantly paid. 24 hours later, denied. I got online, then on the phone with T-Mobile right away. Another hour and a 3 way call with T-Mobile and an Assurant supervisor, and this time, I am told it is "good to go", except for the "usual 24 hour delay". One day later... denied. No explanation.

    Off to the T-Mobile store, again. Two workers, and the store manager, try to get me some assistance. After a lot of haggling, I am getting a lesser phone but I need the iPhone and am told it will be sent to my brother in law's because I am due to travel there imminently. (I have to cancel the trip and my brother in law sends it back to me, which I eventually get.) For my $149 deductible, I get a crappy refurbished phone. And then (T-Mobile's fault) my attempt to upgrade back to what I lost is fruitless and I am stuck with an inferior phone. The long and short of it? I pay insurance religiously. I pay a large deductible. I get a lousy refurbished phone I cannot EVEN trade in for an upgrade. I AM JUST THRILLED WITH ASSURANT... NOT.
