Very disappointed with customer service. Had to call T-Mobile to get issue resolved. Had found lost iPhone before replacement was shipped out and they couldn’t cancel the shipping order so I had to refuse delivery and send back. All 4 days without a working iPhone. If you find your lost iPhone they should be able to reactivate the phone right away not 3 days later. It makes no sense. T-Mobile was able to just flick the switch and it worked right away while I was still on the phone. This policy needs to be reworked.

The act of processing of the claim by Assurant takes extremely long; this needs to be improved. Other than that, the process was Average; no complaints yet also, nothing worth boosting about. I'd recommend this service.

After I reported that I had lost my cellphone (in Washington, VT) to my US Cellular agent in Littleton, NH, I was surprised to receive a replacement phone the next day! That is amazingly quick service. Thank you very much.

The phone was lost. We went to the T-Mobile store and were told what to do to replace it. We returned home, made the call and the next day we received a new upgraded phone. This was a very pleasant experience.

Assurant did well for their part. Except they failed to have a proper protocol clearly understood and adhered to by their partners. I had no way to change my chip. So I had to go to my carrier. When going to T-Mobile, they refused to switch chips as per Assurant's instructions. They took my old chip, did not return it to me, and I remain worried about data theft. Now I'm having to remember, re-download, re-configure, and re-password everything that was on my phone. A smooth process became weeks' worth of headaches that I've still not completed getting through.

I filed my claim. The lady helping me told me that I didn't have to pay right away but when I did my phone would be there to my house in no time. She wasn't lying! I had my replacement phone at my house a couple days after I paid for my claim. Heck I think maybe the next day it was my house. First off... You send the wrong color. My phone was Arctic Silver, you sent me Orchid Gray... Which is basically purple. Secondly, the "new" phone has severe performance issues. It basically refuses to stay connected online which has caused issues with communication between the many groups I am involved in throughout my community. Lastly, I pay $15/Mo for your service. Then I get to pay 100$ for you to send me the wrong, malfunctioning products. Bad form all around. Check how long I have carried your service and get back with me.

We got old phone instead of new after paying insurance for years. Very dissatisfied. I think after making deductible $99 and paying insurance for 2 years get refurbished phone with $10 value is completely unfair.

I will not recon this insurance to anyone. After paying hundreds of dollars you will get a used phone with scratches with a very high deductible which is way more than the price of new phone one can buy on eBay, Amazon or elsewhere. Their customer service is the worst as their operator will treat you like you are asking the replacement device for free and they are doing a great favor. T-mobile must watch what their preferred device protection insurance is doing.

My son lost his phone while we were in Texas I called and filed a claim the same day. My claim was processed and placed on hold as I did not have the money to make the payment the same day and when I did make the payment my son received the phone the very next day.

My Galaxy S9 essentially bellied up so I applied for an insurance replacement. Permission was granted in a nanosecond and the phone arrived one day after that. Swift!! Terrific service. You guys need to take a bow. Then go out for Pizza. ;-)

My service with the representatives was great, I received my phone in a timely manner, but my phone screen cracked not even 4 days after having it when I have a case on it. This is not the gorilla glass that came with the original phone. It's a cheap glass that's bound to break and wasn't worth spending the money on.

My daughter lost her phone and found it the day the replacement phone arrived. I was told I would receive a return label within 24 hours and her phone would be unblocked when I shipped the replacement phone back.. I called back 72 hours later because I had not received the return label. Then I finally returned the replacement phone. I was told it would take 2 to 3 business days before the phone could be unblocked. My daughter went almost 10 days without use of her phone. I think this was unreadable especially in light of the fact that I pay my insurance premium every month.

After starting a claim I explained to the agent that I'm in a different city every day. Based on her response I gave her an address for Friday 9th delivery to Bend, Oregon. I was then transferred to the automated service for payment but the system couldn't understand my P.O. Box so I had to call back and make the payment manually.
When we were done the new agent told me the replacement phone would arrive on Monday. I'd be long gone from Bend, Oregon by Monday. So the replacement phone had to be shipped back to the distribution center in York, PA. before anything else could happen. Assurant finally received the phone back and authorized a refund which I've yet to see. I found my lost phone two days later. Assurant told me the found phone couldn't be brought back on line until the replacement phone was returned to York, PA. It's been returned and signed for and the refund has been approved but I have not received the refund yet and my phone will not work on the network.
Today is Aug 21. I made the claim Aug 8th. In the meantime I had to purchase a phone out of pocket. I pay monthly for the insurance and I paid the deductible and still had to go buy a new phone. I had T-Mobile get involved on a number of the phone calls (and there were many) to Assurant at different stages of this process and Assurant was unable to resolve any of this. Overall this has been a very frustrating experience.

Assurant was awesome with assistance and time delivery of my wife’s cell phone. The rep on the phone assisted me in every way, and explained everything correctly and through, The only is I wish they offered a temp phone option, so that way you can have a phone while yours gets delivered.

The first time I spoke to a representative, they told me that everything was good to go and I would be receiving my item within the next business day. That sounded great to me, especially because I was going on an international trip the same week and needed my replacement before then. However, two days later when I call to check where my phone is the operated system asks me for my payment information so it turns out my phone wasn't being shipped yet. So if I hadn't called that night I wouldn't even have received my phone literally the day before my trip. I don't understand how the person I spoke to didn't mention the payment at all. I thought they would just include it in my bill or something but no, my phone wasn't even being shipped.

When I placed my order on 27 Jul, I received an email thanking my submission. Later I find out about the status, it turns out there was no record of any submitted claims. A couple phone calls a a different avenue in submitting a claim, finally I was on the right path. About a week later my new replacement phone was on its way to my address. I received my new phone but I did not expect the color white. I thought it would be the same color I already own, something similar to rose gold. The phone works and I should be grateful. Thank you.

I am please with the insurance service now, had bad service the last time, where they wanted me to pay a large deductible before receiving another phone, final after complaining to t-Mobile manager and 2 weeks later I received a phone... Very displeased with the verification process of your computer system in the call center. My zip code is 44143 and I live in Richmond Heights Ohio but your system has 44143 as Cleveland Ohio. 44143 serves Richmond Heights as Well as Cleveland. Don’t tell me that my address doesn’t match what you have on file because you don’t update your system and call everything Cleveland. We pay thousands and thousands in taxes not to live in Cleveland. You guys can at least spend fifty bucks and update your system Dam.

I had a cracked screen and small dent on the phone. My servicing company is T-Mobile which by the way are incredible in customer service and of course they are using a very reliable and customer friendly claim center called Assurant. starting the claim was easy and painless, and the service was incredibly expedient and timely. They provided all information on the return of the broken phone and replaced it with a new refurbished one. Great service, great experience.

Trying to get the shipping label for a week now. Nobody cares replying to my email. The website mytmoclaim doesn't even find my order... so can't do it there. On the phone, a not so nice lady said she would send me the label by email. Still waiting. I mean, seriously, how am I supposed to send it back? My feeling is that you are doing this so I will get charged for not returning my cell phone. Already regret all the time and headache, would much better buy a cell phone and not have to deal with this nonsense.

A total waste of money. I tell everyone, Don't waste money on this. It's a ripoff. I was sent the wrong phone and it only worked for about an hour. I will never waste money on insurance again. Better to pay yourself that money in case you lose your phone.

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible service! I made a claim August 2, 2019 but did not recieve my replacement device until a week later although it is clearly stated delivery is next business day. I was not informed my orginal color of my device was back ordered which furthered my wait. I was not contacted at all even though I was asked for my email and a contact number.
If I was contacted I would have been able to request a new color and then I would have been able to receive my replacement in a timely manner. It was not until I called freaking out because I had to leave on a business trip with out a phone (then had to purchase a temporary phone with money I really didnt have to spend). It was not until I called them that I was informed (6 days from when my claim was submited) my orginal color was backordered. That is when I told them I dont care for the color. I only care for the phone I have purchased. After finally sitting on the phone with them for most 45 minutes they finally adjusted my claim to what ever color was in stock. I received my shipping email and the phone arrived the next day.
If a claims replacement device is backed ordered someone should have contacted me via email or phone so I could have been aware. If I knew that was the reason why my claim was postponed I would have been able to request a different colored device and then would not have had to leave on my trip without a phone. Nor would I have had to purchase a temporary phone. And of course I can not be refunded the money back for the temporary phone. Just horrible service all around. Horrible at keeping the consumer informed. Just horrible...oh and there is "no contact number for corporate", just an address. Which I have written to requesting a refund because I should have not had to wait 7 days for my replacement or purchase a temporary phone while I was away.

I was experiencing problems with my phone turning on and off consistently and also getting hot. I called Assurant and a new phone was sent to me the next day after paying a fee which would have been much higher if I had to go to the phone company a phone. My phone works excellent.

Worst experience ever. The people were super rude and unhelpful. I got one nice person who knew what they were doing but I literally had to ARGUE my way to that person. It shouldn’t have been so difficult to get a competent person.

I gotta say, this was an almost hard-to-believe negative experience. In hopes of improving anyone else's future experience, here's an outline of mine: I filled out my claim online. I received an email the next day saying they needed more information from me, so I called them immediately. I was told they needed EITHER a pic of the front/back of my drivers license, OR, a phone bill. I sent the photos to the email they provided. Told I should hear back within 24 hrs. I did not.
I called them again, and this time, was told I needed to send the phone bill to the same email. No one could explain to me why, even after asking about 3 times. It was just said, "It looks like we need your phone bill." Finally I gave up, verified the correct email (3) times to make sure it wasn't my mistake. Sent my phone bill. Waited 24 hrs - was guaranteed by the woman helping me I'd get a "priority" stamp on my case and would hear from them. No one reached out.
I called them again, requested to speak to a manager. I, for the third time, had to spend 5 minutes "verifying my account". Finally got transferred to a manager, who repeated herself over and over to my very plain inquiries about what exactly the problem is. "It looks like we never got an email." Why wasn't I told that the second time I reached out, when my drivers license didn't come through?
I requested her to please resolve this with me on the phone today, as I really didn't want to have to reach out again. I was told, "The department who receives emails isn't reachable. We can't directly communicate with them." So I politely asked, "So, your coworker, who is required to resolve my issue, is impossible to get ahold of?" Apparently they only are able to communicate via the claim notes, even in special cases. No phone number, no messaging system internally. I again gave up, and uploaded the documents straight to the website. Finally the next day, I got confirmation that my claim had been processed.
I filled out a feedback form, three in fact, to detail my experience. I was clear and detailed. No one got back to me, even though the form says it will reply. Then, I received numerous stock emails asking for my feedback, without acknowledgement of the feedback I had already offered. Here's why this really frustrated me, and I hope someone from Assurant who has some semblance of power can see this observation: your employees are not being empowered to do their jobs and help customers. They're on a script, they can't troubleshoot independently, and are forced to speak to incredibly frustrated customers probably daily with their hands tied. I understand mistakes happen, but this was clearly systemic and part of a larger mess in terms of how the company is organized.

They are really good at processing the claims and sending out the phones with UPS. But their refurbished/replacement phones are crappy. Had my screen cracked and I kid you not they sent out phones three times (Probably cost them more for shipping and hassle). Last time the operator didn't believe me there was an issue so she said she would get the supervisor to call. No calls, so I got fed up and took it to the Apple store where they gave me a written estimate and what's wrong. Then they replaced it. I lost count now. Another bad phone. This one won't wirelessly charge and other callers can't hear me. Again to the Apple store. Calling Assurant last time and they said they'll send another one. Didn't want that option. Asked for a brand new phone or payout for the cost of a new iPhone 8+. Nope they can't do that. Another phone coming; fingers crossed. Bad quality phones, won't be buying their service again.

Unfortunately the first associate debated with me over my password, address on file and my social security number, which stopped me from progressing any further on the phone call. He directed me to call T-Mobile back. When I did, they stated everything was correct. Upon calling back, the second agent got me through everything without a hitch. All information was verified, and I received my phone within a day or two, everything worked great and I sent back the broken phone. So far everything is great and the customer service (of the 2nd agent) was great.

The whole ordeal with Assurant was perfect. The only issue we had was with our provider, T-Mobile. We have Jump-On-Demand, we can upgrade at any time, but with this replacement, when T-Mobile updated the IMEI on the lease agreement, it forced a due-date change for the entire account. The letter I received from T-Mobile, telling me of the change in IMEI and advised of the new due date for this one line, did not mention it would change the due date for the entire 5-line account. Nor was it ever mentioned this was a possibility during the process, before or after. I did called T-Mobile, get this? They claimed I changed the due date in the app... I don't know how to do that, didn't even know that was possible, also I doubt it is. So beware it IS possible to change the due date when you file for insurance. It's not Assurant, but strictly T-Mobile.

Cracked my screen on my K40 phone. You sent me K30 phone saying you didn't have a K40. I sent you back K30 phone. Awaiting for you to send me K40 phone so I can send you my K40 phone with cracked screen glass. Spectrum store still do not have K40 phone in stock.

I lost my phone and then recovered it. Sent the insurance phone back to you guys. Now it’s been 2 weeks and I haven’t been able to use MY PHONE that I PAY FOR MONTHLY. You guys owe me 30 dollars for the lack of me being able to use my phone. I have legitimate proof that you guys received your device back yet I still can’t use my phone? You still have my phone BLACKLISTED so I am unable to use my device. I went on an entire business trip with no device. I was lost and couldn’t get into contact with my clients half the time. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. You guys told me when I sent the phone back and provided a tracking number you’d unblock my device. I’m canceling my subscription. You guys are crooks and I am so disappointed. You need to fix this. Now.

The replacement device they sent me shut itself off every 15 minutes. When I called and explained this to them they kept trying to get me to send in my device that I originally made the claim for. I kept explaining to them that I would not keep a defective replacement. One person finally told me to send the replacement back in but they were unclear if I would receive another one. I just mailed the replacement device back in today so we will see what happens. Their customer service reps seem to follow a script and will not deviate from that script. I'm not sure if they understand that I'm sending in the replacement device or not.

My phone I got was defective. Turned on for 1 hour and never turned back on. Never activated on T-mobile network but the Assurant rep made it very difficult for me. Quite the hassle to be honest. That's why I cancelled my insurance.

I called on August 1st to get help getting my phone either repaired or replaced. Well I was told they would send me a replacement which they did. I got the phone on Tuesday the 6th well turns out the phone they sent didn't even work. I called them on Friday to let them know that I needed another phone because the one I received didn't work. Well they said in order for me to get the replacement the phone would need to be in transit so they could ship the replacement. Well the phone was shipped Friday the 9th and I called back on Sunday the 11th so I can provide them with the tracking #. With that said, they said they would send me a replacement phone and GUESS WHAT??? Today is the 19th and yet I have not received a replacement phone. WOW!!!!

The process and time it took to receive our phone was excellent. However, I was very disappointment in the fact that I am paying so much for insurance every month on each phone, and still owe over $700 on my phone and when I got the replacement it was a refurbished, not a new phone and there were no accessories with it, like a charger. I also was upset that the deductible cost me $280. I would have been better off putting money away in the bank every month and buying a used phone when this was was lost. I think the cost of everything to do with this insurance is unreasonable. I could see $50, $100, even $150 for a deductible, but this was all outrageous, especially getting refurbished and no accessories with the replacement phone. I will be cancelling this insurance on all of my other devices.

The replacement phone is just as bad as the original one that needed replaced. It does not hold a workable charge for longer than half a day. Very, very slow messaging.. Very unhappy with entire experience.

Upon paying for my phone to be replaced, the rep told me I’d receive the replacement phone the next day (It was 6:30 pm). I didn’t get it until 2 days later. When I received it, it was the wrong color and it wouldn’t work properly. I then had to take it to my local T-Mobile store to get them to help. They had to issue me a new SIM card for it to work. This experience was very troublesome and disappointing because I use my phone to communicate with my supervisor in the field as a driver. To avoid any other problems I just kept the gold phone that was supposed to be black ugh.

I want to give 0 ratings but no option. I Filed a claim for my Iphone XR. First, they told me that I don't have insurance coverage the day I lost my phone. Actually, I have coverage from the day I purchase the mobile. I sent them my account bill, spoke with T-mobile 5 times and make sure everything correct. But Assurant representative kept saying I am not eligible and they telling me that they can't call T-mobile. I waste almost 12+ hours behind by calling these crazy people and still calling. I called them 25+ times, every time explaining from scratch. They didn't send me a single email regarding the issue. Worst experience of my life.

Shipping of phone. The one thing that I DID mind about having my phone shipped to my address is that a "nosy" housemate knew about my shipment. I even contacted the shipper to NOT have it brought to my home address, yet the shipper DID bring it there anyways. VERY PISSED about that!

Made a claim on my v10. They sent me out a v30 with no charger and the v30 uses a different charger. My case didn't fit. Call them up and told them I was returning the phone and wanted my deductable back. Every time I call all I get is the runaround. A different answer every time. To top it off they just sent me a charger 4 days later. I am still wondering when I get my deductable back.

I received the replacement phone overnight. Unfortunately it was faulty as it heated up worse than my original phone which blew apart the back due to the battery overheating. After the information had been transferred into the replacement phone it was hot. I let the phone rest (not charging) overnight. I then played one crossword puzzle and it heated up again so hot I could not touch it. I contacted Assurant to inform them but could not speak to anyone. I then contacted T-Mobile and their tech dept sent me another phone (another $5.30 charge after your $99 charge.) This second replacement phone from T-Mobile works. I am aggravated to say the least of the charge and having to yet still find another replacement.

Return of cell phone and processing of claim for replacement. Timely, friendly, straightforward... We had no problem accessing instructions and received the return box in a timely manner. The one thing that I would recommend is to include instructions to tape the sides of the box; it's not a sealed envelope but rather a box that you fold and put together, so I taped the sides of the box so that they would not be snagged and consequently opened during shipping.

Horrible customer service, the baddest experience I've had so far. Exchanged my broken phone for a replacement expecting it to work and they sent me a refurbished phone that the touch screen didn't work. After that I had to deal with them for 3 hours on the phone and left me without a phone because I had to send back the bad phone in order to get a new phone which is stupid because my job requires my phone which I didn't have for almost 2 weeks. Since the messed up phone they sent was horrible and then had to send it before requesting another one. Completely horrible. Hoping I never have to deal with them at all.

It was a quick and easy process, everything was done in about 5 mins to fill out claim. I received my replacement phone in 2 days which I'm thankful for because I need my phone for work. The replacement phone they sent me looks worse than the phone I sent back. Aside for the small crack in the bottom corner of my old phone, it looked way better. This refurbished pool phone I was sent has the chrome scratched on the side and doesn't look as well as the one I sent in. I'm highly disappointed and feel I should have kept my original.

I pay every month for insurance and yet still had to pay 50 $ for a used phone to replace the one I had insurance on and the phone that was sent is slow and glitchy. So unhappy. I was sent a phone that did not work properly (battery only lasted for short periods of time). I sent it back and was assured that a phone would be sent to me within 24-48 hours. So it took forever to get through to use my insurance on my son's phone and then when the device came it wasn't working properly. Cannot access internet. Will not let me access my google account and keeps resetting my passcode. After paying the 99$ I now have to go out and purchase a new phone at my Verizon store because I need a reliable phone for a trip on Monday. I'm 2nd guessing if paying insurance each month is even worth the hassle and then to get a junk device as a replacement is just ridiculous.

My cell phone was an old Galaxy S7. It was malfunctioning as the battery would drain in a matter of 2 hours, regardless of what setting it was in. I contacted Assurant and notified them of the problem. They sent me another Galaxy S7 and asked me to return the old one. When I received the new one I noticed that the camera wasn't working. I called Assurant and expected them to send me another replacement, but they denied my request and told me to go to T-mobile and have them deal with the issue, as the replacement phone was under warranty. T-mobile did what they do best, and sold me a new phone, giving me credit for only a small portion of the cost of the new phone. The purpose of insurance is to indemnify the loss, not make it worse by sending defective/refurbished replacements.

I have a iPhone and broke the screen. When I called it to do the claim the lady on the other end was pushing for me to take it to Apple. If I did that I would have to drive a little over a hour to drop my phone off. Then drive a little over an hour home and then the next day do the same thing. After trying to convince her that to do it that way was a hassle she finally let me do the claim with them through the mail. Once we did it that way everything went smoothly.

They were not professional and did not take responsibility for their actions as a company. I was given an arrival date for a replacement device on a recorded line from a representative. After making arrangements and waiting an entire day it never came. Once it arrived the next day the call center supervisors said all they could do for my inconvenience was apologize even after I asked for the call to be reviewed by management. He explained call center supervisors do not have managers. It was very inconvenient and I did not feel valued as a customer.

I found my lost phone before you shipped out my new one and despite your team confirming they wouldn't disconnect my service they did anyways. The day I returned the replacement phone, my service was cut off and not restored for 6 days - I'm a new mom whose husband was out of town and there was no way for anyone to get ahold of me other than wifi via social media. I'm exceptionally dissatisfied with how my account was managed. The only reason I gave you an extra star is because I did receive my phone in a relatively timely manner albeit a day after its scheduled delivery date.

I was making several attempts to get a black variant LGV30 but instead I received a silver phone. They said if they had one available and I mentioned that I wouldn't mind waiting till one became available because of availability. We'll I'm not understanding how I called 4-5 days prior to me being able to pay for the replacement phone for my daughter, they have to upgrade her. When I do call back, now they have the obsolete phone available.
Upgrades are offered if a like for like replacement is not in stock. When you called back, the older model was back in stock so that is what was offered. We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed to not receive an upgrade, but that is how our replacement process works.

I'm not happy with the replacement I got. The phone constantly restarts without any warning or setting to do so. It happens several times during the day. I can't believe this is the type of replacement I get and pay for it. Assurant is getting worse at replacing phone equipment.

Very positive experience. The replacement phone was shipped fast and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the phone looked brand new and it came with all new accessories. Considering how much I have paid in for insurance and that I had a $100 deductible I was very happy with the transaction.

It was difficult for me because it was so high of a deductible - I couldn't understand why I had paid for insurance on it in the first place. Imagine paying 30 a month for 3 month then 250 to get a 500 phone replace and you know how angry I was. The phone dropped in price by 500 (to $500 new) in the 3 months since I bought it just before the next upgrade of phones came in it still required a 250 deductible for what used to be a 1000 phone. If the value was 1000 sure. But, it wasn't; it was a 500 phone now and I got no value for the insurance at all. I almost paid for a new version of the phone and saved nothing. It made me so upset I wanted to leave T-Mobile for good.

Assurant replaced the phone quickly as promised and the representative was very knowledgeable and professional. It was a good experience, I would recommend their services to others. I have never had such a negative experience in dealing with any customer service in my entire life. I had to call corporate due to being lied to - you can verify this by the phone logs of the lying management of the department. Multiple lies told to me. Both phone sent to me are broken - the current one is not. Will not install apps due to it saying they have already been installed on device with a different account. This matter is still unresolved.

I received my replacement, and of course it's refurbished... but it now takes almost 4hrs to completely charge, and that is with my Note 8 fast charger. And sometimes when I turn it off, it won't turn back on, I have to hit volume down and power to do so...I should not have to go through that, if you were suppose to send me A WORKING phone. ESPECIALLY if I'm still paying on it.

The experience was great. The rep helped out and took care of me. However I dont know if they payed close attention to the order because I went from a galaxy 7 to a galaxy 8 and where I assumed that the accessories would come with the replacement phone they didn't. So now I have no other choice but to go PURCHASE a NEW charging cable (7 has micro USB and the 8 has USB C) that should have come IN THE BOX. Is there any way to get what I should have gotten???

Assurant was great to work with. I received the phone in two days without a charger. I went from s7 to s8. The 8 takes different charger so I called and they sent a new charger! The charger that sent me does not work very well. Please send a new charger.

I made a claim on a phone and I never got it. Not did I get a call about the claim. So I called and spoke with a supervisor. She help me get the phone next day after a week passed by. My main complaint is they sent me a phone that Is a 2015 model. The phone can't get any new version apps nor can it be upgraded. I really got upset at the point that I have paid for the insurance for 6+yrs and I can't get a newer phone. I'm not asking for a new one just one that is up to date after all the money I have paid for the insurance. Now I'm working with the mobile phone company and there is nothing they can do beside send the the same phone or I have to purchase a new one. Smh. Waste of money on insurance that don't work for you but against you. Note that I will report this to BBB.

I think that you should consider offering the client a simple protective case with the phone until one knows which phone is going to be delivered. In my case, I dropped the new phone which caused it to crack on the corner. A simple silicone case which probably costs pennies would suffice.

I called in and did a claim on Saturday for my daughter's phone. I paid the deductible and received an email. On Tuesday I got another email saying the phone was delivered at 11:46 am and left at the door. Not only was my daughter home but I also had an electrician here. NOT ONE OF THEM SAID FEDEX STOPPED HERE. I spoke with Nick (a manager) who told me I needed to contact them myself and then depending on what they say "we'll SEE WHAT WE CAN DO". They didn't even offer to track the package and see where it went or try to get to the bottom and why the hell do they not require signatures?! I mean this is an iPhone. I asked for a refund of my deductible and I was going to cancel the insurance but he wouldn't do that either. As soon as I get to the bottom of what happened to the phone, I WILL BE CANCELLING HER INSURANCE AND MINE!!!

I lost my phone and it was replaced immediately. They only asked a few questions and it was replaced. It was worth getting insurance or else I would have paid $700 plus. Assurant assures you security even though you still have to pay $150 for a replacement.

When I first called no one told me what the deducted would be. Then I called back. They told me the amount, I then told them I was having issue with uploading my information. The person stayed on the phone and walk me through. Called the next day. They told me that I had sent it to T-mobile instead of MetroPCS. I informed them this is what I was instructed to do. Unloaded again. What should have taken 24 hours took 7 days. Not happy, then I had to take it back to the store for them to transfer my information. Not a good first impression.

Unfortunately I lost my phone which is iPhone 6s Plus and filed a claim. On the next day I called to check the status and I was informed that my claim is not approved or denied because the phone is not active. T-Mobile intervened and find out there was mistake done by Assurant's associate who filed the claim who filled it as iPhone 6s only. I run business with my phone and I sustain financial loss of $1500. I asked for manager but nobody called me back.

Waited more than a week for the claim to be processed. Final a phone was sent and left at a front door somewhere. Had to call again and file 2nd claim and pay add. Fee for a phone they lost. So 2 weeks without a phone and 500.00.

Took the damaged phone to the local T-mobile. They looked up my account, saw the insurance payments. They used the electronic devices and the phone and guided me through making the claim. WORKED PERFECTLY! It was supposed to be an "overnight". Everything was processed on a Friday. I did not get the phone until Tuesday morning. Is that a complain about Assurant? NO, it was Fed Ex that had its own problems (arrived Sat. afternoon in a near by suburb). Stayed there until Monday, but missed some transfer, and ended up at my door, Tuesday morning. OH WELL! The old phone was FUNCTIONAL, just a badly cracked screen. (Someone dropped a box of books on it while I was doing some charity work.)

Spoke with male reps on 7/23 around 6:30 pm and I was not treated as if my phone was just stolen from me; the rep (whose name I have written down on my police documents) kept asking me about making a payment despite the fact that I told him my debit and credit cards had been stolen as well. His attitude was off putting and less than helpful. I was greatly disappointed considering the circumstances. The second male rep I spoke with on 7/25 also gave me a hard time about payment methods and upgrading while I was at T-Mobile and I was just disgusted with everyone by that point. CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS NEED TO BE MORE SYMPATHETIC TO THEFT CLAIMS CALLS period, and if I can come back to update and add the names and times of these calls I will because it was not a good experience for me.

I submitted a claim for what I thought my son claimed to be broken screen. I submitted the claim with Assurant and as a cracked screen but later my son clarified that he lost the phone when grocery shopping (it had a cracked screen). I tried to change the claim information that very next day by contacting customer service; this was before they had even started to process the claim. I was told by customer service that the reason for the claim cannot be changes and that they would charge me for the value of the unreturned phone, All this even when the deductible I had to pay was the same for a cracked screen OR lost phone. We talked the store manager into letting us search the store after they closed since no one had yet turned it in. It ended up being behind the the checkout stand. We searched for 7 and a half hours; all this because of the inflexibility of Assurant. We will be cancelling their insurance plan and reporting our experience to T-Mobile.

Having trouble downloading past audio of songs off phone. It was important to me because I am having surgery on my throat & could lose my ability to sing, past choir members who are either gone (decease) or moved to other churches & I wanted to keep for special memories. The operator was extremely polite and took the time to collect all the data and get the replacement phone out the door. Wouldn't accept my claim without original receipt. Got phone 10 months prior. Many phone calls. Lots of arguing. Several calls to Samsung. After a week, I finally satisfied these people. They took my money for 10 months with no problem though. I should have used SquareTrade. I definitely do Not recommend Assurant. Stay away.

Assurant is breaching their own printed description of the deductible and the policies printed "Maximum Replacement Value".
2) In their description of "Applicable Deductible" the Deductible is placed once the "repair or replacement is completed." They are not repairing or replacing the phone, so neither of those two requirements are being met by them to make the deductible applicable. But they insist I pay the $175.00 deductible.
The cell provider's cheapest equal is about $300.00 more than the credit offer. I have the Assurant protection plus plan on a Samsung Note 5, the Samsung Note 8 should be the replacement. Recent water damage has left the phone not working and unrepairable. I started a claim and have been told by Assurant that since the phone can't be repaired and is no longer made they will only pay the current market value of that phone, minus a deductible, towards a replacement phone at the cell providers store. Assurant is breaching their own description of the deductible and not honoring the policies Maximum Replacement Value or the terms listed in the policy.

Samsung stolen. Called T-Mobile on 7-27-2019, 8:30pm. Got person barely spoke English. 2nd person not much better, but did (supposedly shut off phone). Went to T-Mobile store 7-28, they helped me file claim. Gave lady ok to withdraw $20.00 out of bank. Received phone not till 7-3019. SIM card no good so had to wait another day to take to T-mobile store and they spent long time on phone with company trying to connect a new SIM card. The phone does not work properly, backup button needs pressed many times.
And, I'm getting pictures of ** people who stole my phone, and they are using my Google account. Just got new pictures today. And they are downloading games and apps constantly. I would like that phone tracked through Google right to their address and them arrested. They are using my Google. That is theft along with stealing my phone. Please help. AND consider giving me a NEW PHONE, that is not FULL of other people's problems that they sent back to you and your engineers supposedly fixed. Thank You In Advance.

My son's phone was taken after he was attacked for it. After the police report and hospital visit we canceled the phone. While the replacement process was easy, the cost was crazy. His phone was a red iPhone 10 and maybe two-three weeks old. The replacement cost was 250.00 and would be replaced with either a new or a refurbished phone and any other color they had in stock. Yet if it was a used phone I’d still pay the cost of a new one. I was not at all happy with that. Yet I had no other choice and felt stuck that I had to go along with what I was being told. I was never asked for a police report number.

I received my replacement phone on Thursday evening and the phone was not working by Saturday afternoon. My screen went completely blank. I contact my carrier to get a replacement and it took 3 days for me to be notified by the store. I can clearly see the phone has water damage and now will be told I can’t return it although I received the phone in this condition.
