    It took a long time for Assurant to approve the claim and 2 rejections from Assurant. I recently had my old phone serviced at the Apple Store, and the serial number changed, which I didn't know. Ultimately there was a 3-4 day delay because of this, and I was left without a phone for days, and very highly stressed out.

    It was ok. Could of been better. The phone took too long to get to my mailing address. Also the phone was different from your original phone.     The process was quick. However, uploading my information from the cloud was a little challenging. I would also change the 2-authenticity process. This would have expedited the process of me accessing my account. Perhaps allowing an email on file or a family member who may or may not be on the same plan, the ability to authenticate who a customer is.

    The claim took like 3 weeks, to submit and it also 3 times to fill out the claim. And when I charge the device with my own charger it makes a constant sound. Other than this it shipped fast. Thank you. I'm not sure if it was due to the metro associate that helped me with the claim or the system for my device claim to have been taken this amount of time.

    On 6/9/25, we called and filed paperwork online for our daughter’s phone, which was broken when she fell. As you can see according to the insurance, which we pay for it tells you within 48 hours of filing the claim a phone will be shipped out. We have spent hours on the phone, talking to different people, trying to follow up on our claim being told the entire week when we talk to that it was still under review. On 6/13 when calling again and speaking to yet another person we were told that they now also need a picture of my husband‘s drivers license. First time we were told this. Again, calling each day to follow up and are continuously told it is under review, but they can’t tell us why. 6/15 again my husband is on the phone, after 20 minutes he asks for supervisor is put on hold, another person gets on and goes through the same thing telling us it’s still under review.

    I take the phone and ask this person to please go get someone else in charge. She argues but finally agrees and tells me she’s putting me on hold for a moment and transferring me to another supervisor. I’ve included the screenshot. They left us on hold for over 45 minutes before disconnecting us. People kept picking up and then putting us back on hold without saying anything you can see by the screenshot total time Sunday was an hour and 39 minutes!!!

    Today 6/18. Our daughter has still not received her phone. She’s been over a week working an internship without a phone that we were told with the insurance were paying would be sent within 48 hours. This has been the absolute worst Customer Service we have ever experienced. We had a very hard time understanding about half the people we spoke to. And as of today, although they said the phone has finally shipped. Our daughter still does not have a phone.!!!

    We’d be happy to provide a claim number if you need it as proof.

    Updated on 06/23/2025: This is ASSURANT’s response in regards to the complaint I made on June 20th, 2025, “Thank you for the details. We've escalated the case, and someone will contact you within 2 hours.” They failed to call as promised. I called the regular customer service number and spoke with a gentleman which led to me requesting a Supervisor, to which he put me on hold for some time then hung up. This is what you can expect from ASSURANT Solutions.

    Original Review: Your overseas agents are like robots that keep repeating incorrect information because they see it on screen. If the customer informs them that it is a BYOD claim they still transfer the call to T-Mobile. It's an absolute waste of time because T-Mobile tells the customer that they are not responsible for BYOD mechanical breakdown claims.

    When I was doing the process online my claim was denied and no reason was giving. The denial should give an explanation.     Love how simple the Assurant process makes it when filing a claim on a device. My only gripe is not having an option to select a repair vs a full replacement. Please add this to your claim portal. I believe if you have the funds for a straight up replacement, you should just be able to select that option. I for one, do not like having to go to place to have my phone fixed. I did it once and it was not for me. Other than that, the process is amazing!

    The replacement process was great except the shipping. I was told it would be overnights to me. But there were delays in shipping my phone and the shipping company FedEx didn't notify me properly as I had requested. We live in the country about 6 miles from Woodville, Texas and my home is about 1/4 mile from the front gate and road. So when I have to receive a package from. FedEx I have to know about when the driver is coming so I can meet him at the front gate to receive and sign for my package. Sometimes I have to sit in my car for 2 to 3 hours waiting on the delivery.

    You have the notes I'm sure. Took the phone delivered and set it up as the 773 number. Emily NEEDED her phone as her place was robbed but it was delayed. We came up with an idea to buy an extra line and put it on the 13 I was using because my 15 broke the day I got it. Emily needed access to her 2f from her 224 number or was unable to do anything. Spectrum came through, added a temp line that I used and set my Iphone 15 Pro on her number. We got the second phone and were able to transfer that to Emily's number, the Iphone 15 to my 773 number and put a temporary hold on the 13 I was using. When I came up with that idea I thought for sure something would hinder the progress. But nothing but paying $20 extra to activate another line. Great job everyone!

    Terrible service. They weasel out of any claim they can then don’t give updates and forget about you. I made 4 claims and still haven’t gotten my phone fixed. They waste your time on the phone. You ask to speak to a supervisor and of course one is not available and they will call you back and they never do. I called to get an update and after wasting my time verifying everything they transferred me to T-Mobile. Very bad service. Wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy. I wish I could put no stars.

    This has been hands-down the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company. I filed a claim with Assurant through T-Mobile because the back of my phone was cracked. First, they sent me an extremely old, outdated used iPhone that wasn’t even close to the model I originally had. After I contacted them about it, they finally sent another phone — but that one had a defective front and back camera.

    I paid for this service expecting my phone to be fixed or properly replaced, and instead I received a defective device that was in worse shape than the one I sent in. Now they refuse to help me at all because I’m no longer a T-Mobile customer — even though the issue was never resolved in the first place. It’s completely unacceptable. I was given the runaround, treated poorly, and left with a phone I can’t fully use. Assurant’s customer service is the worst I’ve ever dealt with, and I would never recommend them to anyone.

    My phone broke so I filed the claim for a replacement device. After two days I get the replacement device just to find out it is completely defective. The device won't even stay on to utilize no matter if it is fully charged. It just randomly shuts down. I call to have another one sent to me. They claim that they will send ONLY after I send in the defective replacement device. I think that it's a huge inconvenience to go without a working device after being sent a defective one.     We are a paying customer with Assurant, and our experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. Our truck, which is less than four years old, requires a new transmission—a repair that our repair shop cannot proceed with without Assurant's approval. For two weeks, Assurant has repeatedly told both our repair shop and us that "they are sending someone out to look at it." Yet no one has come, no approval has been granted, and we remain stuck. Meanwhile, Assurant refuses to authorize a rental car until they approve the repair, leaving us with only one vehicle and forcing us to miss work on multiple occasions.

    It’s clear from conversations with our repair shop that Assurant is hesitant to approve the transmission replacement—if that's the case, why are we paying for this insurance? This level of service is unacceptable. We are left without a resolution, without a reliable vehicle, and without any support from the company we pay to protect us. I hope this review prompts someone at Assurant to take ownership, approve the necessary repair, and help us get back on the road.

    I followed the included directions to turn off Find My and erase the contents of my phone but the phone didn’t clear.
