    They look for a reason to deny legitimate claims. I didn't have time to file for damage on a phone right away. For this reason they will deny your claim. Got transferred from T mobile to them. Had to wait forever for overseas help. Then wasted my time.

    The initial claims process was easy. However, the replacement phone that Assurant sent had a crack in the screen. I called and was told that they were sorry, and they would send me a shipping label and once that label was in transit, they would overnight me a phone. HERE I AM 8 DAYS LATER AND STILL NO PHONE. I am now being told it could be another 3-5 business days before they scan the phone into the warehouse even though they have the phone that shows delivered to them. I NEED my phone as I don't have anything other than my work phone that I am now risking my job because I have young children and need to be in contact with the sitter... WILL NOT EVER PAY FOR INSURANCE IF IT IS THROUGH ASSURANT AGAIN. I am looking at roughly 14 days with no phone (if it actually ships in 3-5 days) INSANE!

    Assurant handles extended warranty (premium care) for Google Pixel phones and other equipment. To file a claim you have to go through their website or phone. Either way they send an email to your recorded email address to verify, but the email doesn't arrive for hours, and has expired already, after 10 minutes. They have no other verification options. When it fails the phone person tells you to call Google service. Google service can't do anything to help because it's all handled by Assurant.

    Filing claim was easy. Replacement was quick. I wasn't expecting my replacement to be ship so quickly but I'm so glad it was. My deductible was reasonable, definitely better than having to pay for a new phone. All of my lines are insured because you never know when something is going to go wrong.     Lost my phone over the weekend and reported it lost to Assurant the following day. The automated phone system took the claim, and I had additional questions with a customer service rep. They represented that I was eligible for an upgrade with T-Mobile for a replacement phone and incorrectly stated that I only had to pay my $249 deductible. I clarified with them prior to accepting an upgrade that no additional payments would be required from me for the new phone, mind you the phone lost was an iPhone 14 pro and the upgrade would be to a iPhone 15 pro, not much of a difference. So, I accepted, it was free according to what was represented. They stated that all I had to do was to walk into a retail store and pay my deductible and I can pick up a new upgraded phone.

    Lo and behold the retail store stated that is not how it works, and I had to wait till I was delivered a 14 iPhone first, then swap it out with a 15. Phone lost on a Friday night, meaning a phone would be delivered no earlier than Monday and no later than Tuesday. Doesn't sound so bad unless you run a business off of your phone, which was my case. Even with the email that was sent to me that stated in black and white I should be able to enter a retail store and pick up a new phone. Then after 24 hours the phone was retrieved but with damage, so changed to claim on Monday to lower my deductible. During this call I come to find out that my original claim was not processed since I didn't pay the deductible. Even though the retail outlet refused to take payment.

    When processing the new claim, the customer service rep was able to articulate the program with precision, not like to outsource overseas customer service reps over the weekend. The overseas customer service reps insisted that it was possible to go direct to the retailer when the phone was lost to pay and pick up the upgrade. I even received an email stating the process to pick up the phone and it never stated that a phone had to be delivered first, then trade it in. Of course, the upgrade phone is at full retail value and only the remaining payment of the previous phone is credited.

    If it was articulated properly verbally and, in the email properly, I wouldn't have had an issue. I just felt jerked around. I do run my business through the phone and was given a "free" phone, but still had to pay taxes and an activation fee of over $50. Not horrible, but not satisfying after you were led down the path of getting an upgraded phone next day. Silly that an automated system would generate such a misleading email and that the overseas customer service reps don't understand the program they represent.

    The only problem I had was no replacement charger or screen protector. Along with my replacement phone. I have to find a vendor that carries my screen protector. Otherwise l'm taking a risk of possibly damaging my cellphone. I keep a piece of bubble wrap for cellphone. Until l can receive the protection necessary for keeping my phone Safe.

    Hello: I am writing in reference to two previous complaints filed against Assurant, the insurance company, regarding a number of “Unreturned Device charges”, appearing on my T-Mobile bill, each for $1,127.99. for a total of: $2,255.98 Using the above-mentioned claim numbers, Assurant requested the return of equipment thru the United States Postal Service.

    As requested, the equipment was mailed and received by Assurant processing on their respective dates: For Claim number ** Return tracking#: **; shows delivered as of November 22nd, 2023. Return tracking#: **; shows delivered as of November 27th, 2023. For Claim number ** Return tracking#: **; shows delivered as of January 2nd, 2024 .

    Each of these returns were received by an individual of Assurant’s choosing, who picked up these deliveries or were personally handed to them from the Postal Service. Now Assurant has fraudulently charged my cell phone bill, to the point of service disconnection for these charges – for devices that they received and processed in their system.

    I also received a phone call from an Assurant Corporate officer, advising that I would not be charged for the returned equipment, after the first complaint that I filed on December 11th, 2023, because it as well, shown that the equipment envelopes were delivered. I am requesting that Assurant immediately remove these charges from my cell phone account with T-Mobile and offer a full apology. I will also be opening an FCC complaint against T-Mobile for the late charges and allowing Assurant to erroneously charge me for returned equipment. They should all be investigated by their state's respective Attorneys General! Thank you,

It was approved instantly..so it says overnight shipment...but it's friday and I called Assurant and he said it has not been shipped.. It will be tuesday before I receive my replacement phone...I am not happy at all.     The overall experience was okay. I was told that I would get the phone my next day but it did not came two days after. The other problem was is that they did not do a one-to-one copy from my Google account. All my passwords had to be changed and some other things that had to be added and other things taken off that was inconvenient. They should design the phone so that they could be direct transfer with nothing lost especially passwords.

    I started the chat service to replace my broken phone. The first chat went very smoothly but when I opened my inbox to start ordering the new phone, the info on the web indicated 5a (my old phone), even though the customer service told me that it will upgrade to 7 Pro. So I had to create another chat to confirm that I am receiving the upgraded one. But that didn't go well either. And I created the third chat to make sure I am receiving the right model. So I wish they could make it right in the first place. But the device came pretty quickly as the first person promised.

    I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience with Assurant. After submitting a claim due to a broken screen on my Google Pixel 7 Pro, I was quickly sent a replacement phone, which I appreciated. However, my relief was short-lived as I discovered the replacement device itself had a defect – namely, a malfunctioning speakerphone. Expecting the same efficient and customer-friendly process, I contacted Assurant to resolve this issue, only to be informed that I must return the defective replacement before a new phone could be dispatched. This approach not only contradicts the customer-first service model I was initially presented with but also completely overlooks the inconvenience and lack of a mobile device during the interim.

    Returning a phone before receiving a replacement is not only impractical but also interrupts my daily personal and professional life. The original agreement was based on trust and efficiency, wherein customers receive a functioning device before sending the problematic unit back – a policy that benefits all parties and that I believe should still stand. I've turned to this forum with the hope that my situation will shed light on a flaw within the service process that needs addressing. As a customer, I anticipated a seamless support experience, which has unfortunately not been the case. I am urging Assurant to reconsider their current stance and provide me with a functional replacement before I return the defective unit, as this will uphold the standard of service I signed up for. Thank you for taking the time to address my concerns, and I look forward to an expedited and fair resolution.

    They sent me the phone fairly quickly and I sent the old phone back to them the next day after receiving the package I needed to send to post office. I also paid 100 deductible and they received the old device on December 5th and today is January 1st and they charged me 150 for not receiving the device. They verified they actually did receive the phone on December 5th but just hadn't scanned it so they just don't care and charge you for no reason. I'll never use them again.

    This process was easy but expensive due to us paying a monthly fee and now this expensive deductible and still trying to pay off the phone but I do understand that people comment fraud but my phone was stolen while on the metro. People told me to track it and call the cops but I'm not trying to go to a dangerous place for a phone or get anyone in trouble if they're trying to steal on Christmas.

    My son is horrible with phones, that's why we carry the insurance. Last May we returned phone screen damage. Post office misplaced it, was found and returned. We got billed and in fall paid for phone. Sent shipping info in. But never got money back. Then again same phone returned within same week. We tracked till delivery. But now they want 670.00 for phone they say they didn't receive. Now here we go again. We are waiting for replacement then will send phone back with signature required.

    We paid monthly to receive coverage on our phone. When we had damage done to our phone that they were supposed to cover they fought us on it and denied our claim. After at least 20 to 30 hrs spent talking with them about how they need to honor their promises made on their website, they finally agreed to cover our phone. Only they didn't because the tracking information they provided was faulty and the damaged phone got lost in the mail. They did not honor their promises and I am turning them in to the Better Business Bureau. Do not under any circumstances sign up for this coverage. It's a scam!

    Surprisingly speedy, easy and I am satisfied with my replacement phone. I did go to Xfinity to transfer my info, and I did not know if I should use my Sim card or the one that came with the phone. It took two hours at xfinity for them to transfer everything. I thought that was excessive.

    I found the telephone service reps/ attendant to be supportive to my disability and the stress that had overcome me from the lack of support at the on-site location. Their level of professionalism, consideration courtesy was exceptional. I had spent hours being transferred from one rep to another being asked the same questions and going NOwhere. So to finally get my new phone and the solution resolved was helpful. In the future there should be access to in person services as not all people are computer literate and call communicate by phone. There are a very few of us on the planet that still need on site assistance.
