I moved my auto and home policy to Allstate (Matthews, NC office) a couple of years ago and never had a claim until now. Of course things are fine when you don't make a claim right?!? My daughter had a tree fall on her car while it was parked, obviously no fault of hers. We found out there was no rental car coverage first of all when it should have been included in the policy to begin with as it's pretty standard. It took forever for them to come out and look at the car at the body shop and Allstate apparently ordered the wrong parts so that made the process even longer.
The whole process took about 3 weeks and meanwhile we had to pay for the rental ourselves! It was about $3,500 of body damage with a 3-week process that should not have taken that long and I had to pay for rental car I never should have if the policy was done correctly to begin with. I am definitely moving both my auto and homeowner's to another insurance company based on this bad experience. I have three cars that are insured along with my home so it's their loss!

A young man backed into my car in the parking lot of my workplace. My car was damaged by a driver who was insured by Allstate Insurance. I called Allstate and put in a claim. They confirmed the accident with their insured and told me I could take my car back to my dealer for repair. I asked to take it to my dealer instead of their recommended repair center. I only had 10,000 miles on the car and preferred my dealer to restore my vehicle to like new. The Allstate claims rep (Cheryl **) provided me with a rental confirmation number at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I took my car in for repair and received the rental car. I was not told how long I could keep the car by either Allstate or Enterprise. Neither company (Allstate or Enterprise) informed me of any limitations for the rental.
Due to delay in Allstate sending a claims adjuster to Ford to view the damage and delays in communication and cooperation between Allstate and the Ford repair shop, my car was in the shop over a month. I was advised by Enterprise 6 weeks into the rental, that Allstate was refusing to pay the rental fee beyond 2 weeks. Enterprise told me that I'd be responsible for the remaining 4 weeks. I was never told there was any limits until now. Obviously, if I knew there was a 2-week limit, I'd have turned in the car after 2 weeks and made other arrangements. I'm assuming there is no documented policy between Enterprise & Allstate regarding rental limitations. If there was one, shouldn't the consumer be made aware of it up front? Enterprise can't get Allstate to pay the rental fee so now they're trying to collect from me.
While I had the car, I hit a rock on the freeway and did minor damage. I disclosed this and asked my insurance provider (GEICO) how to handle it. GEICO had me pay a $500 deductible to Enterprise which I did by money order. Enterprise has now sent me 2 notices saying I owe them $611.14 for the rental fee that Allstate refuses to pay. I contacted Allstate to see if they would take care of their responsiblity to the rental car company. They said they would contact Ford on my behalf to see if they could pay for the rental since their delays in repairing my vehicle was the cause.
The person reviewing my claim (Janae, didn't get her last name) said she'd call me back the next day. That was a week ago. Since then, Enterprise's Accounts Receivable has sent me another bill for $611.14. I'm not at fault here and I don't want to pay for this. However, I'm worried they may report me to a credit bureau and damage my credit. Please advise on how I should handle this. Thank you.

I insured my car with Allstate through Stacy Kagan Agency in Coral Springs Florida effective September 30 2015. Last week I decided to switch to another insurer effective April 21 2016. I called Allstate to let them know that I was cancelling the policy effective April 21. They informed me that I had to do so in writing. I filled out the form that was provided to me by the new insurer and dropped it off at Allstate that evening (it was after business hours, so I placed it under the door).
Since I heard nothing from Allstate, I called today to find out if they did receive the cancellation request and was told that it could not be processed until I provide proof of insurance with the new carrier. I enquired as to why this was necessary and got the answer that I could cancel on April 21 with no insurance and then have a claim on April 23, so they are trying to avoid fraud. Huh? If the policy is not in effect on April 23, Allstate is obviously not liable, so I do not understand that response.
I just looked at the cancellation terms in my policy and nowhere does it state that proof of insurance with the new carrier must be provided. I suspect that they want to compile statistics about which competitors they are losing business to, but this is certainly not the way to go about doing it. A couple of my friends have had good experiences with Allstate and state that it's all about the agency that you use. So I have not given up on Allstate but I certainly would not use this particular agency again.

While residing in SoCal, my auto was struck from behind while parked (I was not in or around the vehicle) and ultimately was proclaimed unrepairable. The at fault Insurance company paid the claim but when Allstate reported the claim to LEXISNEXIS (the CLUE database) the information was documented as an at fault accident with me as the operator. I became aware of the extreme error while shopping for a new insurance carrier. I asked Allstate to send corrected information to LEXISNEXIS so the CLUE database would be corrected. They have refused and have placed the burden of making the correction on me!! They indicate its my problem to solve. I have spoken with several insurance companies and they say it is Allstate's responsibility. I have reported Allstate to the California Insurance Commissioners office.

An ALLSTATE customer hit my vehicle, blatantly backed into my vehicle (you would think Allstate would automatically claim liability, WRONG). They tried to say that they didn't have enough information from all parties and tried to not fix my car! My claim adjusters name is Willam ** and he is the worst! He told my other passenger that was in the car when the accident happen (which was noted in my claim report that I made the 2 minutes after the accident) that she would receive a $500 check for compensation of the accident.
Now he is saying she will not get it because the woman who hit me has lied and said that I didn't have any passengers even after Allstate has called my passenger numerous times to assure that she was really in the car. After I even tried to contact William **'s Manager Allison **, but of course she was out of the office for 2days and the day she was suppose to return she was "out of the office" again. I had to get a random customer support agent to email her regarding my claim and my claim adjuster and all of the issues I was having, even after leaving contact information for her I have yet to hear back from Allison **. All cars are "monitored for quality training purposes" so I'm not sure why ALLSTATE is giving me and my passenger the runaround.
This is terrible customer service, the communication is horrible and the fact that ALLSTATE makes promise that they, in turn, do not keep is a bad representation of the company and everything that it stands for! Honestly, I thought about switching my insurance recently and I thought for sure I would be switching to ALLSTATE, I was sadly mistaken! ALLSTATE would never get a penny from me and I feel bad for all its customers...

I am not a customer of Allstate, but a person who has to deal with them in result of the person at fault for rear-ending my vehicle. Was told initially I would get a comparable vehicle, only to book the rental and be told that I would only be receiving a standard size, I drive a SUV. When I called and spoke to their customer service about this, they were rude, repetitive in saying they were unable to help me with this situation. One lady was helpful in trying to get me into a minivan, but that is still inconveniencing me as it's not a sports utility vehicle. Worst insurance company I have ever had to deal with! Turned what was at first an easy going experience with reporting my claim into a nightmare. So thankful I have and will never use them for my insurance needs!!!

I am very dissatisfied with my experience through Allstate. I would've never known we were being ** on our policy if it weren't for family and friend letting us know we were paying $300 more a month than ANY other company. Our monthly rate was $501 with $543 down with full coverage and roadside assistance on 2 trucks with no violations or wrecks ever. Everywhere else it was $200 (average). When I first called to get a quote, they were not helpful at all and did a very poor job explaining. When I called to see why they were charging us so much, the gentleman was rude and couldn't explain why our rate was so high.
We IMMEDIATELY got off the phone and called The General and a previous insurance company we went with. They were both way more professional and explained everything in detail plus gave us a very accurate quote. We decided to go with The General as of today and are canceling our policy through Allstate! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!

Allstate has disappointed me beyond belief. I was hit by a young girl passing me over a double yellow line in a parking lot causing much damage and grief. Joe, my adjuster did little to help and even accused some of the damage done to be from previous damage and regular wear & tear. I about flipped my **. He was not there to help me. He was not there to tell me that everything will be okay. He did not tell me that my van will be back the way it was before. He ** did less than the minimum. It is because of him that Allstate is losing a 4 car policy. Allstate, you're NOT in good hands.

On March 16th 2016, We were involved in a crash by some idiotic driver. We watched this young man slip in between cars recklessly and cut recklessly from lane to lane for about 10 miles before the accident. To be cautious we kept our distance. There were only 2 lanes of traffic flowing on the interstate heading south bound on 95 towards Bangor. We were just about to pass by the Hogan Rd exit in Bangor - at this point I was traveling in the Left lane, traffic was slowing down in the right lane due to cars exiting off the interstate at the Hogan rd exit. At this point there wasn't much I could do.
I tried to keep my distance as best I could from this driver who we had been watching from 10+ miles before this. But where I was traveling in the left lane because I wasn't getting off for another 5 or so exits. This driver now ended up being right next to me. At this point I caught out of the corner of my eye - this driver drastically cut his wheel and came right at us. I moved over as much as I could without drastically my own wheel and causing my vehicle to flip going down into the embankment towards trees. This driver still after cutting this hard and us being right next to us slammed into us pushing us down the hill. And flung himself over the other two lanes in ended up in the break down lane on the other side of the interstate.
I called 911 immediately. Luckily no one was hurt. When state troopers showed up, they took all our information and called for a tow truck to remove my vehicle because it looked to be totaled. After standing in the drizzling rain for almost 45 mins after the crash while waiting for them to do the reports, we were driven by the tow company to their lot. From there we walked to the Allstate insurance which happened to be around the corner from our current location. (Allstate was the other drivers insurance company.)
They then told me in the office that they do not handle claims there in their office and that we had to call the 800 number they gave us. So now we were stranded in Bangor me with no vehicle, it was wet/damp and cold out. We ended up having to walk 2 miles to the nearest Dunkin Donuts to be at an easier location for our family member to locate us at. This family member drove 80+ miles to come get us being that we are both from Millinocket Me.
By the time we arrived home I called Insurance company again. They told me that there was a claim already set up from the other driver. They then took my statement and information and told me that they could not issue a rental car until the established full liability and the other drivers story needed to match - otherwise they would need to get state troopers report. So I had to then wait until the next day. I had heard nothing. I called the agent conducting this claim 3 times while at work on all my breaks and lunch and received nothing.
Finally I received a response, he said he had the paperwork right here and that they would be paying for a rental vehicle for me and setting up agent to go out and assess the damage to my car which was still sitting in the Bangor tow lot. The agent from Allstate gave me a reservation # and told me to call Enterprise and they should set me up and even deliver the car to me. But of course when I called they would not drive the car to me because I was outside 50 miles of their nearest location!! I then only had the option to once again find someone to drive me Bangor Me again to pick up a vehicle.
I get to Bangor Me after being told everything was all set and that the reservation # was all I needed. I get all the way out to Bangor at about 5:58 pm which was 2 minutes before losing time and they tell me the reservation was not finished and followed through so I would have pay $250 to take the rental that day and then it would be returned when the car was returned. Luckily the agent at Enterprise was kind enough to go through the trouble to call and get confirmation so the fee would be waived.
I finally get the vehicle and had to waste gas in this vehicle which I am paying for just to get back to my home town. Allstate only was going to give me 5 days with the rental. Because they were going by what the state requires them to do. They totaled our car and offered us an extremely low evaluation for the value of our car. The vehicle was given deductions for damage that was done by the accident. They rated us on the cleanliness of the vehicle on the inside which was a total disaster because the crash. We were out shopping and had been traveling for doctor's appointments so all our belongings were tossed around the vehicle. Drinks knocked over etc. They came up with the value of our car only using out of state vehicles that matched nothing from our state we actually lived in.
So they basically said, "We can find your same vehicle, similar mileage and condition for this price in up to 2 states away from you so we will give you this much for the vehicle." When we did the research and told them we couldn't find anything close to that for that price near us they said they only had to pay us the value of the car based on the same vehicle we can find. We had had literally 4 days before the accident, 4 brand new tires, oil change and new battery put in this vehicle. They only gave us about $80 back for these new parts. I had receipts for everything to prove all this as well. I paid almost $400 for all this work.
The adjuster originally told me I could only get a portion back for the tires that I couldn't add the battery, he ignored my email with the copy of the receipt for it and never attached to my file. So when I questioned the next agent I talked to I had to resend the receipt to her because the adjuster didn't do his job and add this which I literally got $10 for. Absolutely ridiculous that I would not get reimbursed more for these new parts and work.
They again were going only allow me to use the rental car for 5 days until I fought with them about how I had to travel too far to pick up and return the vehicle and didn't even received the vehicle until late that next night. They extended the rental for a few more days. We didn't receive the settlement check until Monday 3/28/16 and had to return the car Tuesday 3/29/16. But little did we know the bank wanted to hold the check for 2 days due to them having issue with insurance claims going through. I then called back Allstate extremely upset because I now had to cancel my appointment to go test drive a vehicle because I would not have the rental to go do so and no cash to purchase. They said there was nothing they could do about this and the rental was given long enough and needed to be returned. This left us stranded with me walking to work in the snow and rain for days.
Throughout all this experience they were very unhelpful. I was told several different answers for everything from each person I had contacted. Each and every single time I had to call all hours of the day and waited days for contact back. They never once called me back in a timely fashion. They never once answered their phone without going to voice mail each and every single time I called. I had to chase them down the entire time and still never got the help I needed. They completely ignored the fact and did not care at all that their registered covered driver totaled my car, turned my life upside down and I was left stranded - he was able to drive away.
I absolutely would never recommend using Allstate for anything!!! They only care about keeping money in their pockets and would rather that other drive to be able to go back out on the road and destroy other peoples lives. Absolutely ridiculous. I will continue to spread the word about this company and their terrible customer service.

Over the years I have had to deal with this company as a customer or a claimant. AS a claimant, they do the best to screw you out of your car. Presently the following two policies are in place for companies like this one. 1- we run video dash cam units, 2- their customer hits us, we go straight to an attorney. I will never deal with these people personally again. Guess their rates are going up because more people have adopted that policy. SUE FIRST, ask questions later. Don't forget your proof! Hey insurance companies, take note. People do black list. Allstate is not the only one on that list of mine. I only have two I will go back to at this point. Progressive and AAA. Now customer service is giving me the runaround about getting my money back! If anyone is to take money from my account without my permission and authorization it is considered theft; that is exactly what Christian ** and David ** did! Allstate is the worse insurance company that I have ever had. They lie a lot. I was with them for a year and in that time I got into 3 car accidents where people crashed into the back of my car. And one of those accidents, it was a serious accident. They paid for my hospital visit but not for doctor's visit or any type of medical services. They always transfer you to the wrong department and it takes awhile to get to the right department. It's annoying and it shows that this company is not well organized.

Sure, gave it all to them again. Followed up again, oops, looks like no one followed up with the insurance company, but they said they will get right on it. Thanks for the reminder!
I followed up again, it's now months later, they look into it and they realized they received a letter that the other insurer cancelled their policy, they need to go after him personally, but they haven't yet, not sure why. They again apologize and thank me again for calling them to remind them to send this to collections. Basically if you don't harass them they do absolutely nothing. Also they told me I had an at fault accident on my record which was ruled not my fault on the police report. After all this they quoted us a ridiculous rate of over 300 dollars per month. How do you react if Allstate sends you a letter cancelling policy? You start shopping for a better rate. We are in the process of doing it now and will also check with Allstate if having 3-4 incidents over few years related to literally just scratching other car on the parking lot has more weight than having true road accident, which costs much much more but does not cause driver lose insurance. Something must be very wrong with how Allstate evaluates "profitability" of customers. Especially those who carry home insurance as well with them and who will certainly take it elsewhere if auto insurance goes.
We just had initial discussion with Geico, and first impression is very positive. Person I had on the other line (Alex) was very professional, detailed and not pushing for sale, but rather explaining all options in a fairly honest mode. If Allstate fails to accommodate us and change their brutal policy, or if Progressive (our next planned option) is not seen as good, we will go straight to Geico and sign up. Allstate had 10 years of revenue from us, and it is now time to give other companies this chance. As we learned, biggest mistake customers sometimes make is not shopping around when there is no pressing reasons to shop around. Your long-term insurance company may often be taking you for a ride and needs to be constantly checked to remain honest. Insurance business model is built on formal premise that average customer is not educated and easily deceived. We don't have fall into this stereotype.

One day while picking up my step grandson I stopped in the road as the car in front of me stopped for traffic to make a left turn. Within seconds after, I was hit in the rear by an Allstate client. This was the beginning of a nasty nightmare. This accident occurred on a Friday, I went the entire weekend without a car, mine was totaled. Since I carry car rental insurance, I contacted my company and got a go ahead to get a rental. This lasted for two weeks.
The next thing that happened was Allstate told me my car was totaled and informed me that I was going to be paid $3500 for my '03 cooper that was worth $4500. I became very upset and then discovered Allstate wasn't going to pay that full amount to me either. The salvage company would pay me the salvage amount.
Well after investigating I found that was normal practice in my state and while attempting to get a better price for my Cooper 3 their representative told me if I had collision insurance this would have been very different. Hello? I am the victim in this whole thing! I did my best to get a decent price for my car. They refused to budge at all. Then when I lost it and told them "Just send me my lousy check," I was told "After we determine responsibility for the accident." They made me wait an additional 10 days before sending me a check.
I was fortunate that I had the resources to purchase another car and not have to wait for their check. I also put collision on this car to avoid this crap again. The worst part of this is Allstate cost me $1000 in lost value of my Cooper. And I was rear ended, not my fault at all. I made Allstate a promise at that point. 1. Never to buy insurance from them ever. 2. To tell everyone possible about my bad experience with them. I am going to get my $1000 worth by bad mouthing them.

We came to Allstate with high hopes our parents had been customers for years so they could give us the best rates and they even promised to pull down our rates come February but come February our rate has gone up forty dollars. 1/7 of what I make will go to car insurance... So we go in and we cancel our policy and we do it in person as nicely as we could to someone who lied to us. And then today three weeks later we find out he our agent Dennis ** renewed our policy and had full plans to pull money out of our account even though we have switched to a competent car insurance company that means we can eat and insure our vehicle a modern marvel that Allstate has not heard of.
So I call to cancel and they tell me I have to call back next Tuesday so I call my bank and they put a block on Allstate pulling out money. But I do not feel safe, I feel threatened and lied to. I also feel like our agent Dennis ** was sexist towards me, always asking to talk to my husband and even though our insurance is in both names only sending post to my husband. Once we called the Allstate help line and they said they were too busy and hung up. We are only keeping our renters insurance because we paid for it but we honestly might pay for it from someone else because Allstate has proved to us they are thieves and liars! Very disappointed.

Original Review: Feb. 7, 2016
Ravi Reddy Allstate, Cary, N.C. - My wife and I split up. She moves to Michigan. She initiates a new car insurance policy (through her Allstate local agent). I get a letter from the DMV that my insurance is lapsed and I need to get in touch with them. Of course I have moved too and my forwarded mail was late, and now I have to provide an FS-1 to the DMV. After countless emails with Ravi Reddy agency they finally issued me an FS-1. Immense grief I encountered arguing endlessly that I needed an FS-1. Finally I got my FS-1 from Ravi Reddy agency. It didn't matter what was on it -- the DMV was not moving forward without it.
Next I get a new policy declaration from Ravi Reddy Allstate that has been modified adding all the extra coverage I never had and don't want. I emailed him and told him to put it back like it was, and to not bill me for it. This took multiple emails and he finally sent me a new policy declaration exactly as I had requested (so many times). During these changes I had sent some money to make sure I had some skin in the game and didn't wake up one day without coverage. I paid enough upfront to cover the entire policy period. I was expecting a refund to show up when a bill came in the mail for about $75. I contacted Ravi Reddy agency and Ravi explained to me that I needed to log into some account and confirm some changes. I told him, "No, get this cleaned up or I will cancel the policy."
Now I get a bill in the mail for $18. I am expecting my $92.91 refund. This Ravi Reddy Allstate agency owes me $92.91 and a significant portion of my life. Anything you can to do help me get my loot back and to warn any other poor souls thinking about using Ravi Reddy Allstate that it would probably turn out very badly for them unless they were okay doing everything the way Ravi wanted it. Thank you.

I was involved in an accident back in 12/2015 where an Allstate client rear ended me. It took 3 weeks to get my car in the shop. I drove a rental car for the duration while my car was in the shop. It took 4 days for the repair shop to complete the work. Because of the estimate given to Allstate by the repair shop, Allstate only paid for 2 days of rental and stuck me with the rest of the bill, $144.27. Did I mention before that I was the one who got rear ended?
After several calls to Allstate and after filing a complaint through the Insurance Commissioner, I thought Allstate would do the right thing and reimburse for the expense of the rental car. That would be a big no. I figured Allstate would have a little Integrity and accept responsibility. That is a bigger NO. Allstate stated because the repair could not give them a good reason for keeping my car for 4 days, they were only responsible to pay for two days of rental. For the people who have Allstate Insurance, you picked a really good scandalous company who has no problem cheating everyone else. No Integrity whatsoever. It's sad we have to deal with companies like Allstate.

Both on **. The person at my local agent's office was very rude and put me on the defensive. I asked that these imaginary people be removed from my policy and an amended declarations sent to me. Also I asked that the excess money paid to them be refunded to me... I was told "That's not happening."
I sent the agent a notarized letter saying I don't know who these people are and they are to be removed from my policy. I also called the Allstate main number and was also treated poorly, also put on the defensive and told the names came from DMV records. I posted something regarding this on my Facebook page and my daughter copied and pasted it to Allstate's Facebook page. Someone called my from the corporate level at Allstate and FINALLY listened to what I had to say. I also posted a review on my agent's website and suspect it will not ever appear there. I've been with this Allstate agent now for 2 years. In that two years, my policy jumped up by $15.00/month. I've always paid my car insurance on the 25th - the day it was due. I NEVER had a problem - until today. I logged onto the Allstate App and lo and behold, my insurance jumped from $145/month to $164/month!!! It was a late charge!!! I have NEVER been charged a late fee! And the payment is due today! I was infuriated when I saw this.
I immediately called my Allstate agent, left a message for them to return my call - they never did. I then proceeded to get quotes from other insurance companies. Geico came in at $92/month!! And with far better coverage than Allstate! Also, both comprehensive and collision deductibles are $100 with Geico. With Allstate, it was $500! And I'm now paying way less. I understand when I first signed on with Allstate my credit score wasn't great (thanks to an ex-husband). But since then, my credit score is now in the mid 700's. There was NO reason for my car insurance to be so ** expensive. Whatever you do, do NOT use this Allstate Agent!!! She sucks big time, and so does her husband, Rudy.
I tried getting renter's insurance with them last year, after Rudy told me it wouldn't be a problem. When I cancelled my current renter's insurance and called Allstate to sign on with them, Rudy told me I was not eligible for the insurance, for whatever reason. I was so mad at his inconsistency, that I lost my current homeowners policy and had to sign up with another company. Such **. So I was having trouble starting my truck at 310 am and called roadside assistance which I pay for and I pay for a $100 towing coverage. After about 15 minutes on the phone the agent said it would be about 90 minutes before a tow truck could arrive. First the agent took down my contact number incorrectly, so when I called back the agent stated that could be why I wasn't called back or why I didn't receive a confirmation text.
Secondly the first tow company (Eagle towing incorporation ) failed to let Allstate and I know that they could no longer complete the tow for my vehicle, so after waiting for 2.5 hours I called Allstate and asked where the tow truck was. The Allstate rep placed me on hold to see what the problem was and apparently Eagle towing incorporation had a issue with their drivers and could no longer provide the service. After Allstate figured out the issue they contacted another company (Swim's Enterprises) and the agent said again it was going to be a two hour wait.
Finally I got a ride home from security at the businesses I work for. Then at 745 am Allstate called to inform me it would cost $13 to get my truck home. I was shocked because the first company (Eagle towing co.) said the $100 towing coverage would fully cover the tow and now this company said it wasn't completely covered. The rep for Allstate didn't want to be of much help so I requested to speak to a supervisor. After all of this he said Allstate would cover the few because of the inconvenience and they would investigate Eagle towing incorporation. Now it is 9 am, and my truck is still not home. It has been a long and stressful 6 hours to get my truck home and again I have not had any updates on if they made it to my truck and en route to my house. Very displeased with Allstate...

I received no Auto or Renters policy at all of any kind. My Auto was expiring on 01/06/2016 and did not have a renewal. I called Oliver Insurance to see where my policy was. That was the first time anyone mentioned the eSmart plan. She insisted I did receive that info like she could see my mail. I didn't know about it and had never heard of eSmart. I never received anything indicating I did or how the damn thing even works. I do NOT own a printer!!! But that was no excuse. I guess they want me to go buy one. So why would I enroll in a program that requires one? I did NOT receive a policy of any kind for Jan 2016-July 2016 unless you consider faxing it to a bank for me to pick up the day before expiration date. It would have looked more professional if a 1st grader with a crayola had have done it. Allstate sends their guy out and he says repair. It has now been in the shop 3 weeks and they are sending another guy out because the quarter cannot be repaired. So now it's been almost a month work no income because I drive for Uber and can't use rental cars for it.
So I have no income coming in, I missed out on the holiday stuff and I'm being told that my financial obligations have to go into default because they refuse to look at my loss of income while the repairs are being made. So it'll be a full month out of work because they won't pay for the damages. On any account after this, it took me a few weeks to get on top of the bills, one of which was Allstate for our Auto Insurance. I noticed that the payment was past due, so I called Allstate to sort things out. The agent had me pay $204 for the November payment which was past due, it was now November the 16th. OK, So a few week later I drive 4 hours away from home to pick up a new truck, part of the transactions was to transfer my insurance over to the new vehicle. When Allstate was called I was told that my policy had been cancelled in November because of nonpayment of the October bill. I explained my circumstances to the agent on the phone, who basically said there was nothing he could do because the October bill wasn't paid.
So I said I can make payment for whatever was past due, his response was that he could not help me because of a history of missed payments. Now we'd never missed a payment in 15 years till the one that was apparently due right when my wife passed away. So how we have a history of missed payment baffles me and now I was stranded 4 hours away from home with no insurance. I still have not received any kind of notice of cancellation, in the mail or via email. Gee, thanks Allstate, I wasn't really in good hands. I have been a loyal customer of Allstate since 2009, and have not filed a single claim until 2015. After Allstate administered a check for a total loss to me earlier this year, I continued to make payments on what I assumed was the new vehicle - as the dealer will ensure that the insurance is transferred over before you drive off the lot with a car that they still own! Again - Allstate continued to collect payments on a vehicle that they had established was totaled, and they had written me a check for. Unfortunately the new vehicle was deemed a total loss over six weeks ago, and no progress has been made because Allstate continued to insure the previous vehicle - WHICH HAD BEEN DEEMED TOTALED BY THEM!!!
Every representative I speak to claims their hands are tied until another department reviews the situation, and the three people (agency, claims office, total loss department) perpetually forward my calls to one another because none of them can make any headway. The agency is completely rude and seems ambivalent to the urgency of needed a check to replace the $15,000 car that has been insured through them. I am at my wit's end, completely livid, and no one at this company seems to show the slightest concern. It is my full intent to switch providers once this is sorted out. Never, ever, for any rate, will I be a customer of this horrid company.

I have now been with Allstate Insurance Company for over 30 years. They have helped me out numerous times when I needed them the most. In this time frame I can honestly say I have never had something bad to say about how they treated me. My family has been involved in many types of accidents unfortunately but Allstate always stood by my family. There are many times that they could have raise my rates after being involved in accidents but did not. Having an accident is a tragic and very emotional time. This is when you find out exactly if your company is going to stand behind you. I have never had a problem with any of the adjusters. Through the years I have had about 4 different agents and they all have been wonderful. They even got involved in helping me out when I was involved in accidents and it wasn't their job to help me out. They made the whole process of having to go through an accident less stressful.
It's nice to know that when you are going through probably one of your toughest times that they can always be counted on. Through the years my agent has been there to help me reduce my premium costs instead of them going higher. The fact they been with this company for the amount of time that I have should be a testament to how I feel about this company. This company is not like the others that may not be there for you when you need them the most. The volunteer firemen were in the process of pumping water out of the basements in town when I went through the drive-thru at the bank. Quick response when in accident. Was able to get estimate the next day and check for repair issued that same day. Very good customer service. They did not raise my rates after being in an accident.

They advertise MANY options not available in my location. I have complained, as have others, nothing is done. Agent USED to be able to help. Now everything is specialized and no one gives a care about the insured. After 2 decades without an accident, I had one, not my fault, but I will be paying 3x what the company paid out in claims by the time I am done with the MUCH higher rates. After the accident, no other company wants my business. Last time I tried to reach my agent via the main line the poorly trained girl said she could not do it and ended up hanging up. BAD customer service! They will not make arrangements for automatic payment for my CA earthquake insurance but they are the only authorized agency allowed to take my payments. There is more, I need to stop.

I like the way the people treat you with the most respect. Other company's don't. The claim processes is fast and pleasant. I believe that everyone should at least give this company a try. They will not be disappointed at all.

I did a policy update online at Allstate on my policy, i.e. adding a driver and a car to my policy. Received an email from Allstate, saying a rep. would give me a call in case any further information is needed else the update will be processed. Called Allstate after 2 days and they said they can't see the update I did on my policy. Called the Allstate new jersey agent and they as well said they can't view the update I did to the policy and he said to wait for more couple of days as it might take time to process the request.
Called Allstate again today and they said, they cannot see the request and to go to the Allstate agent and do the needful. When I told them that it's ridiculous that I can't even add a car to my policy within 24 hrs at least, the rep wasn't even courteous to say sorry and not even tried to help. Additionally, I asked whether the update might be in processing state on the online portal but car+driver is already added into my policy... so that new driver could drive the car. Rep said, "NO" and asked me to wait.
Comment to Allstate: you are going to lose all your businesses with this attitude and such poor online experiences. Any updates to the policies should be effective immediately and a confirmation should be received. I moved from Geico to Allstate considering their coverage areas and roadside assistance, but I am thinking I took a wrong step. Hoping my review will help others. All the best.

Nothing to add, I am very please with Allstate. I have been an Allstate customer for almost forty years. I am not sure what more I can add other than to indicate that I would recommend Allstate to others for Automobile Insurance.

Yes they provide good service, and a reasonable price, and great choices, and great enough quality. They are the greatest company you can ever have. My family has this insurance company as well.

I have been with Allstate approximately 8 months. I decided to become an Allstate customer when comparing quotes on auto and home insurance. My previous company had increased my homeowners a great deal after a claim of about $5,000. Many companies gave me different rates, but overall, Allstate gave me the best rate when I bundled my home and auto. That's what you have to look at...the bottom line when you add both together. Also, you have to compare apples and apples, so always have your old policy when comparing rates.
I did agree to have a device on my car that sends information about my driving habits, including speed, braking, time of day, hours driven, etc. I agreed to this when I learned that I would receive a discount and it could help me get a lower auto rate. So far, I think the device has lowered my rate. However, the true satisfaction with an insurer is how they handle claims. I have had neither an auto or home claim so far, thank goodness. The efficiency and fairness of the claim process is what distinguishes a good insurance company.

Had to file a claim about two years ago, was able to talk to them. We talked, they filed my claim. They took about two weeks, came by to look at my car, ask me how I was, if I needed anything. They took pictures of my car, would ask me what I would do about my car, what's up. I got my money, my car could not be fix so I got my money. They help me by giving the money that I could buy a new car, had to pay off my car.

Allstate has thorough and efficient agents, dedicated to answering customers' questions. They make the claims process as seamless and pain-free as possible. I also like their reasonable and fair rates.

We are very happy with Allstate. They provide us with more than adequate insurance coverage with reasonable rates. They have safe driver discounts and first accident forgiveness. They provide very good customer service. One frustration with the company is their less than spectacular website. It can use some work and upgrading. On the whole, it is a good company to deal with.

I recently went insurance shopping because my rates had gone up every time I renewed my coverage (no accidents, no new cars or drivers). When I confronted my agent and told him I was going elsewhere, a new policy was created (same coverage) for a 100 dollars less per month. Allstate did nothing to lower my rates until I complained.

I recommend Allstate for auto insurance. I have experience with an agent as well as their claims dept. Every interaction has been professional and they made sure I understood the next step.

I have had Allstate since I was 15 years old. They have always been very helpful and prompt when answering questions about my policy, moving, etc. When we started renting they were great with adding our rental policy too. I even had an agent who was helpful to go over my policy for me to make sure I had enough coverage but not too much so that I was not paying more than I could afford.

They are always nice when I call them, and very flexible with me. I wouldn't change from this insurance company. My mom has been with them for over 15 years and now I can see why. The only bad thing about is they don't give me my safe driver's check because I'm in California.

The people at the Allstate office are very nice. I have never had a claim so I don't know how they do at that. I have my homeowners with them and they helped me reduce the premium of that by adding auto insurance. They seem like they know what they are doing.

Allstate has been a good insurance company. They give me many discounts including safe driver and an online discount. They also have a great app and a good website. I use their website to keep track of my account and to print my insurance cards when needed. I also use Allstate's Drivewise product. You just plug it in your car and you get discounts based on your normal driving. I have been very happy with them.

I have put all of my cars through them and receive a decent rate on my insurance, but I have never received any sort of discount or lowered rate because of my safe driving. I wish that this would happen soon. They have notified me that my rates will be going up soon. I might have to find a different auto insurance provider.

I have had a really good relationship with my auto insurance company, Allstate. I have been making my payments for over 10 years. I had to use my towing insurance a couple of times. I have never had a problem with being able to tow my car to my own garage. I was always reimbursed in a reasonable amount of time. Thank goodness I have never had to report an accident, my fault or the fault of another person. Overall, I have been extremely satisfied with Allstate.
