The local agent in a large office in Vista, Ca was completely uninterested in providing any service. Sears advertised payback with one year safe driving. But I never saw a penny. I was EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the customer service, the false advertising and the whole experience. I know I had only insured one car, but I would not recommend Allstate at all. After a year I canceled and have been very happy with AARP Hartford since.

Car insurance companies are supposed to protect you--they are paid to protect you--but I found out the hard way that with Allstate if the accident isn't your fault and they are not going to be able to increase your rates when it's over and done with. They will do nothing. Actually more than nothing. I was with Allstate almost my full 6 months. 2 months before renewal I was rear-ended. I called and reported it. I took pictures, I have a car cam and even though I was rear-ended--which is normally always the person in the rear's fault--I still sent all of this to Allstate, my agent, who didn't even call me. The footage showed everything that happened. It was somewhat disturbing actually when it showed how hard he hit me, it was obvious he didn't even try to stop. He was either texting, looking down, or fiddling with something. He definitely wasn't watching the road in rush hour traffic because he didn't even apply his brakes.
Anyway, you can see how the camera jumps and jumps and jumps again. But do you think Allstate, even though I sent all of this to them, when they called the other insurance company to get the claim # and the agent's phone number and name, provided them with this? No! They just told me the claim was a "no fault" for the other guy with his insurance company. When I said, "What!" The claims agent said, "Allstate couldn't do anything about that". You are telling me as my insurance company you can't even send what I sent you to the other insurance company and tell them you "felt" like it was their client’s Fault? Then let me know I needed to give my statement to the other insurance company’s agent? You couldn't even do that much?
Mind you I had renter’s insurance and car insurance with my daughter also covered and was paying about $400 a month in insurance premiums and they couldn't even do that. So, I have had to fight everything through with the other insurance company. Every time I tried. Every time I talked to anyone at Allstate from the agent who sold me the policy to the manager of the agent who was "supposedly" taking care of my claim all I heard was the word "CAN'T". If I did that at my job I would be fired! I was hurt in the accident. I already have fibromyalgia and arthritis and problems in my lower back. This caused problems in my neck, middle, and lower back. I had just gotten feeling better from having to have shot treatments in my lower back and this messed it all up only worse than ever.
Allstate pays a measly $3k toward injuries to you if they are caused by someone else. My insurance policy says 25k per incident per person for bodily injury. The back on another page hidden in the policy it says something about 3k for injuries. What they don't tell you is the 25k is only if the accident is "your" fault then you get coverage up to 25k. But I would have just had my medical insurance pay for it totally then gone after the other insurance company--since I've already stated that I had to have the other insurance company change it from a no-fault to an at-fault by talking to him and sending all my information to him and having to threaten to sue to get him to call me back and to do that--because after the point where Allstate paid for my MRI exhausting the 3k I had had it and started searching for other insurance companies.
I found one who is charging me $150 less a month than Allstate. They charged me more for 6 months than this insurance company is charging me in a year (and there was an accident on my record 3 years ago. That's why, I thought, my rate was so high. I was quoted high by other insurance companies also. I'm not an idiot here. Plus covering my daughter isn't cheap). Anyway, when I went to change "lo and behold" Allstate has put the $3000 on me as an "At-Fault" payout on the accident. Now they say I still owe them $157 for the rest of my policy. I don't think so. If they think that is going against my driving record for the next 3-5 years AND I'm paying them another $157 for them to do it, increasing my rates with the other insurance company. They are crazy!
I've asked for a "customer experience letter" stating the accident wasn't my fault 3 times. (They also have the date of cancellation wrong! So I'm paying for an extra day of supposed insurance coverage with them). I also want it and one towing charge showing as an "At-Fault" removed or changed. (I have roadside assistance with towing so if they didn't consider it part of the accident it shouldn't be coded such and if it was it still shouldn't be coded such). My car also wouldn't run after the bodywork and I'm having to prove to the other insurance company that it was either the accident or one of the 3 places it was towed by and to or the bodywork place because it was running just fine before the accident. After I couldn't even get it ten blocks to the dealership to have them see what was wrong. It wouldn't get up over 2200 RPM's, I guess and all the lights were flashing. Check engine light, etc.
But again Allstate can't do anything even though the car was never in my possession after the accident. I'm having to fight through getting reimbursed and they have coded the towing from the body shop to the dealership as an At-Fault towing too. (On top of this the tow truck driver, the first one put my bumper on top of my trunk and scratched the crap out of my trunk, which the body shop didn't fix... so I get to either live with that or fight it through too since it's already been established that Allstate "CAN'T" do anything about anything to help me!!!). You tell me if you want to have this insurance company supposedly on your side or be in their hands!!! The worst insurance I have ever had!!!

My experience with them has always been fair. They have a good customer relationship and response time is good. Their price is way too much but I know you get what you pay for. Payment was fair for a totaled vehicle. Only thing I was unhappy about is I wanted to keep it as it had a lot of usable parts. Haven't yet purchased a cheaper policy because thus far I know I can depend on them. But I would change companies if I could be sure to get the same service at a better price though.

I've been with Allstate for almost 10 years and I feel they have been very fair with thru prices. Also, someone is always there when you need them. The only thing I don't like is that they only write for 6 months at a time. Maybe it's what all insurance companies are doing now.

I am a disabled veteran and was a loyal customer of Allstate. I and every member of my family has had Allstate insurance at some point for over 30 years. I have paid my insurance premiums when I didn't have money for food, just so that I wouldn't be in the situation that I am in today. I paid cash for my vehicle. I bought it new in 2010 right off the showroom floor so that I wouldn't have a car note and have to deal with these fraudulent financial institutions. My vehicle is a Custom 2011 Chevrolet Camaro RS. The music system in my vehicle alone is worth $3,000 and we won't even get into the engine modifications. By law I don't have to carry that much insurance but I purchased it anyway because I wanted to protect my investment.
In December of 2017 I was involved in an accident in which I was not at fault and when the other driver's insurance company (Farmers) started trying to weasel out of paying for the damages that their impaired client has caused, I asked Allstate to just repair my vehicle, bill the other driver's insurance company and represent me if necessary to recover All damages done to me as the result of the other driver's negligence. Even though it would not have cost Allstate a penny to repair my vehicle because all damages are the responsibility of the other driver's insurance company they refused. Choosing to play that insurance company game with me. All insurance companies are cohorts. They are the epitome of organized crime.
The damage to my vehicle is minimal. The only things damaged on my vehicle is that plastic cover on the front bumper and the airbags deployed. My car is built to be easily repaired. It is modular in its design and the damaged parts can be just cut out and a new section welded in its place. The car is very high tech. Everything that was designed to bend, bent absorbing the energy of the impact thusly protecting my vehicle from major damage. Some of the airbags deployed which potentially prevented me from incurring major injuries and saving the insurance company thousands of dollars in medical bills. And this type of technology is very expensive.
Accidents are very expensive, this is why I carry insurance and is the epitome of why everyone needs to carry liability insurance. There is nothing wrong with the engine or powertrain. The radiator wasn't even damaged. The interior of my vehicle is immaculate. It is a one of a kind vehicle. There isn't another one like it in the whole USA. I know this because we checked to see if they could get a comparison price. To total my vehicle is just wasteful and sacrilegious.
Many cars today come with 100,000 mile warranties and there is talk of 200,000 mile warranties in the very near future. At the current rate of false depreciation our vehicles will not be covered by insurance and you can bet yo ass that the insurance company will still want you to pay for that symbolic BS AND WE ARE FORCED TO HAVE IT BY LAW. WTF kinda crap is this?
I and my entire family are canceling our policies with Allstate and we want All of our premiums refunded immediately. Allstate has a claim satisfaction guarantee that provides 6 months of FREE coverage for the vehicle in question. This equals 6 months of FREE NOTHING. If they don't cover me when I'm paying for the coverage, why would I expect them to cover me if they are providing the coverage for free? This just doesn't make sense. I want cash and nothing further to do with Allstate.
When the insurance company forces a person to sell them their vehicle (they call it totaling, but in reality it is a forced sale as evidenced by the sales tax) they have an absolute conflict of interest. They try to do it by assigning a ridiculously low ACV to the vehicle and use that number that they choose to put in the space to justify their action. This is a direct conflict of interest because they have no incentive to assign a true and fair price because if they give the vehicle its proper value they cannot justify totaling the vehicle. It's a scam and we shouldn't have to tolerate their BS. As long as this behavior continues I will not pay into this crap and I encourage everyone to cancel their policies until the insurance industry plays fair.
The employees at Allstate told me that they were just doing a job and trying to feed their families. But what they didn't say was that this is to be at my expense. This is why a lot of repair shops are going out of business. Because of the totaling of perfectly repairable vehicles they are not getting any work and their families and the whole economy suffers. This BS must stop! It is bad for everyone except the insurance company.

I had decided to switch to Allstate from Geico as Allstate offered gap insurance. Boy what a mistake. I regret switching to them every single day. After switching to Allstate, I get a notification a month later from my local DMV that I have not been registered under Allstate and according to them have had no insurance for over a month. This was easily rectified by sending the copy of my ID card showing that I had coverage but it was still a bad start to an increasingly frustrating relationship.
2 months into the policy I had a slight fender bender with a light post in a very tight parking spot. I admitted fault for this as it was my fault for not judging the parking space clearance and submitted a claim. Went through the entire process of taking pictures and was told to bring it to a local mechanic and they would handle everything. The front fender and side panel were completely crushed and I was told that the side panel would need to be replaced but they would mark the front fender to be repaired. Of course once plastic is crushed in this fashion it cannot be repaired and I brought this up in my conversation with her and she insisted that they would be able to repair it.
The day after I drop it off at the mechanics I get a call that says the front fender will need to be replaced and because Allstate did not include a fender replacement in the initial quote they would have to order it from a local dealer but would not get it in for another week and a half. So now I had to borrow my dad's truck because I did not have car rental on my policy which was extremely inconvenient. After 2 weeks in the shop my car is finally fixed. I chalked it up to just bad luck. But the problems didn't stop there.
Month four into my policy I get a call from an Allstate rep saying that they would not be renewing my policy because I made a claim early into my policy. On top of that they mentioned a speeding ticket that I had gotten eight months previous (which I disclosed on my initial quote) and informed me that I'm a high-risk driver. Note that the speeding ticket was less than 10 miles over the limit and was on the interstate. So now they will be dropping me from their plan after only 6 months with them. What's the point of having insurance if they're just going to drop you after you use them.
So basically I went through all this trouble in a short amount of time and they're already dropping me. Apparently when they say that you're in good hands what they actually mean is that you're in good hands so long as long as you never use them. Absolutely the worst company I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with it.

My wife and myself were sideswiped by a senior citizens years almost 3 years ago here in Charlotte, N.C. My wife has been receiving treatment monthly for severe whiplash. Weeks after the accident they called wanting us to settle. I politely told them that I would let them know when she completed treatment, which is ongoing.
My wife finally submitted all of the necessary paperwork to them in order to settle up, weeks before the statute of limitations expired. They dragged their feet, kept asking for more information and finally emailed us with their final offer 15 minutes before the statute was set to expire. They didn't pay for all of her medical expenses and then had the nerve to tell us that they had decided days ago what the dollar amount would be. This is bad faith practice and is against THE LAW! If you're ever in an accident, seek counsel, even if your injuries seem minor, especially if the company is Allstate. They will do everything in their power to minimize injuries, harass you to settle and pay as little as possible. If you're with Allstate, good luck!!!

I found this insurance company infuriating to work with. They make you submit your damage via photos on an application then give you an estimate and send you a check in the mail. when you actually go to a body shop to have someone look at it the estimate is way off (by over 100%). Both the shop and I contacted the company to let them know and they said they would look at it once a claim is submitted. I called Monday afternoon to ask for the rental car so I could get my car in the shop and they demanded I do it on a Monday morning because they want it started at the beginning of the week. I did just as they asked and scheduled if for the next Monday morning. I finally hear from the shop on Friday who said they had been contacting Allstate all week and no one had responded. I called them and I did not hear from them until the next Monday.
Finally they tell me they have a week to send an agent out to look at the car. This means that my car has been in the shop for 2 weeks and they have not even started on it!!! I called them specifically to ask if this would be a problem before I brought the car to the shop and they told me no. When I called them again they said that it does not matter what they told me over the phone. I should have read the letter they sent me. She was incredibly condescending to me on the phone and acted like I was stupid and the whole thing was my fault! I want to put her name on here, but it is not worth it to me to get her in trouble no matter how angry I am. It's infuriating because their client changed lanes into my car and through no fault of my own I am having to deal with having a terrible rental car for at least 3 weeks while my car sits in the shop with nothing being done to it. At least I have learned through this experience that I will never get this insurance for myself!

The guy that crashed into my truck also had ALLSTATE with 10 other accidents under his belt. Even though the accident was totally his fault and there was a state police report showing that ALLSTATE still tried to cheat me and use their proximate cause. They’re always nasty to you even when it's not your fault. Claims process is terrible and they keep raising their rates. When I finally dumped them and went to Geico I found out I was paying over $1200.00 too much for my insurance even though there are no tickets or accidents of my fault. Took too many years to figure out I was getting ripped off. I probably lost at least $6000. In overpayments. After a month long fight with them I finally got paid for my truck which was a total loss.

Checking around for possible replacement strictly on price issue.

When someone is involved in an auto accident they expect their insurance carrier to be compassionate, understanding and helpful. We purchase auto insurance to be protected, to be brought back to pre loss condition, to be made whole. My experience... no so much. I'm not certain why Allstate has claim handlers since they only use outside vendors for "numbers" unless it is the intimidation factor that the claim handler and his supervisor used with me? I wonder how these "professionals" would feel if their mother or grandmother was treated the way they treated me? Would they appreciate their old granny being belittled and pushed around, bullied, cheated? Or would they expect the claim handler to treat granny with the respect and kindness she earned through years of being loyal to them?

Allstate is the absolute worst company that I have ever worked with. Their insured was drunk coming home from a local bar she worked at and crashed into my legally parked cars. Both cars were purchased less than two months prior to the drunk woman crashing into them. One car was brand new and I hadn't even made my first payment on it. She put over $13,000 in damage on it. It probably should have been totaled out but they are paying for it to get fixed instead. The other was an older car with a lot of miles, but very reliable. I had it taken to a shop and had everything that needed to be fixed fixed on it. They ended up totaling that car out. The scamming company is claiming it is valued at $1600 which is about half of the actual value. I had an insurance adjuster I know value it out for me and he says it is valued at $3410. I am trying to get them to work with me but they absolutely refuse and they know they are lying.
Not only are they scam artist, they didn't tell me that the rental car needed to be brought back, they haven't returned a car to me or sent a check and I received a charge for $171.00 from Enterprise. My son is without a car or a payoff check and I have been asking for 3 days for a supervisor to contact me. They have not. From the very beginning they have screwed up my claim. They told me the case was under investigation because I said nobody was driving the cars but their client said we were driving. Turned out their client never said anyone was driving the cars, Allstate screwed up the claim and listed the owner of the car with the drunk driver as driving my car.
Then they screwed up the rental cars and had told them that the minivan was supposed to be returned on the 20th because they totaled out a car when it was actually the Versa that should have been returned, but they failed to tell me any cars need to be returned, but their lying employee put it in the notes she told me to return it, again I have no returned car or a check so what am I supposed to do? My son is going to have to drop out of college for a semester and give up a 75% baseball scholarship because Allstate can't do anything right. I have been waiting for a supervisor to call me about the rental car for 3 hours now and they were supposed to call me back within a few minutes. I have been waiting for the total loss supervisor to contact me through email (because they lie and you need everything in writing) and still haven't heard anything.
This company has put me through so much stress since January 4th and I am the victim. Their client was drunk, I was at home sleeping and her car is being fixed and she is being made whole as I, the innocent victim is getting screwed by Allstate on two cars. I also wanted to add that originally they were going to fix my Impala with an estimated cost of damage of $1800, but there ended up to be damage they missed and now they claim it is only worth $1600. Another problem with Allstate is after they give you half the value of your car they refuse to give you the tax and title transfer money until after you proved you bought a car and you only have 30 days to buy a car. You have no idea if you will find a car with the little money they give you within 30 days and if you don't they keep your money.

So I told that agent that they're worthless and that I'll call my insurance company Geico. They were there in a hour. Well Geico is now handling my claim. My truck is a total loss. The impact was so hard that it bent the frame and push the back axle four inches forward.
So to all who Allstate you need to change now, because you'll be screwed in the end by your own company. Allstate is ** worthless and not worth a ** penny. This company should shut their doors and let the real insurance companies have their clients. ALLSTATE SUCKS BIG ** TIME. I believe in an insurance company that is not owned by stockholders. Not answering to stockholders makes a big difference, ask Allstate... They told me to "sue them", when I had an accident, when I just wanted approx. 5,000.00 to cover my medical expenses and another 1200.00 in a couple weeks’ lost wages that were above and beyond my medical coverage. I will never forget that day. I was dumbfounded how I was told to "sue us", by this cocky Allstate rep, for an accident that was not my fault and other party admitted fault. So, yes, they played hardball, and I sued and won. I won 25,000.00, but came out with 7000.00, after my costs owed to medical roughly.
BUT what they don't tell you is that I had to sign a check over to my attorney from Allstate for 106,000.00, as every expense for both parties was paid by the losing party. These expenses were from all witnesses, lunch expenses, professional fees, airline costs to fly witnesses, and it goes on, and on. The poor gal who rear-ended me was now going to be sued by Allstate, (we both had Allstate), to recoup the losses. So Allstate had to answer to its Stockholders and explain why they took someone, as myself to court, but it was a risk they took, so I will stay with an insurance co., who does not answer to stockholders. I think the term 'Corporate Gluttony' fits the bill.
The public needs to be educated, and now Geico is doing the same thing to my son, for an accident that was not his fault, and won't pay a few thousand in medical. They drove him to sue as well, put him through a deposition and will take that long shot on a trial. I told my son if he loses he could be responsible for thousands of dollars. He is a 28-year-old veteran and going for a Masters in ED, taking his time and energy up with their corporate game playing. Geico is greedy and not doing the right thing and following in Allstate's footsteps, so here we go again. Not cool Geico and shame on you Allstate!

A policyholder backed into my car in a parking lot on 12/12/2017. Big truck, small car... I had to help him get his truck off my car without ripping off the rear end of my car. We exchanged information and went our separate ways. I called Allstate immediately to file a claim. Followed their procedures, went through the debacle of taking pictures and speaking with representatives, expressed my wishes about getting my car fixed, and set about waiting for Allstate to respond...and waiting, and waiting, and waiting. To make a long story short, Allstate completely dropped the ball.
Today, 01/16/2018, I called the body shop, expecting to pick up my car, only to find out that the adjuster had never showed up on the 3rd of January as promised. My head exploded. I started making calls. When I texted the gentleman who hit my car, he accused me of insurance fraud based on what he had been told by his agent. Allstate representatives gave me so many excuses...mainly that since I lived in an "unassigned area," they were reluctant to send out an adjuster. Again, my head exploded. At 4:30 this afternoon, I was informed that Allstate was going to total my car. My car was paid for and ran perfectly. Now I have to go buy a new car, and oh yeah, did I say that I am currently unemployed? Thanks Allstate. You screwed the pooch on this deal, yet I am suffering for it.

I was in a store parking lot on Christmas Eve when a driver backed into me without looking. I was already in the lane getting ready to drive forward. Allstate says since I didn't remember having the car in drive that I was partially at fault for this truck running into me and the liability is 50/50. The police report stated the truck was at fault, the driver of the truck stated he was at fault. They didn't even call the driver to get a statement from him. It so happens his insurance is with Allstate as well. Imagine that.
Had it been another insurance company I wonder if they would have just left it at 50/50. I was told the rules of the road states my car would have had to be in drive to not be at fault. That is a bunch of crap. Allstate has screwed me for the last time. Now I have to pay $250 on my deductible because someone hit my car. Oh wait, that's not the worst part. I be to the point. I called Allstate roadside assistance in the middle of the night for my Ford Focus that stalled due to dead alternator. Hours later a tow truck driver came and loaded the car up on the bed. Winch gave out and car flew off almost killing 3 people, himself included. Found out later that he was drunk and the towing company had the worst customer reviews in the state. Brought the car to the shop and has been sitting there for more than a month. Shop was hounding me to call Allstate so they can get paid. Talked to about 15 different people just for them to call the shop and take care of everything. Allstate kept making mistakes and just don't know how to communicate. Finally after all was done, I had to pay $100 remaining from the repairs which isn't much but non of this was my fault and was Allstate for recommending the most shady, dangerous tow company in Seattle. Once my policy is up, no more Allstate.

Up until my husband's car got totaled (he was not at fault for the accident), we had no problem with Allstate. But if you ever have a claim with them, consumer beware. They deal with Valuation Software CCC One, an allegedly "independent valuation company" that has testified under oath that it deliberately lowballs the price of vehicles in order to save the insurance company (in this case, Allstate) money. And all our adjuster really did was kept saying, "Well, I'm not technically breaking the law, so what are you going to do about it?" in reference to her many ways of exploiting legal loopholes in order for us to get the lowest possible payout on what his Jeep is worth. And that is what Allstate does to its customers.
Joel, our first adjuster, ran a report with CCC One and found the value of our car to be $11,000 with taxes, licensing, and other fees ($10,000 without the added fees). Kelley Blue Book estimates of a used car comparable to my husband's Jeep start at $13,000 without fees and go up $15,000. Then we get a random call from another adjuster, Norm in North Carolina (we live in Washington), saying that the car is only worth $11,000, and we had to take the offer, as-is, before the end of the day. We held our ground.
I called Joel back, and he promised that someone in the state of Washington would take a look at the car and find "9 or 10 comparable vehicles" to make sure the amount offered was accurate. The next thing I knew, he had threatened my husband with extra fees for storage of his old car and other fees but was unwilling to budge an inch on the price, despite the numerous examples I had of the actual value of the car. Joel wouldn't return my calls when I wanted to speak with him about this. I called the main line and asked to speak with his manager, as Joel had lied to me. The man who answered the phone said, "You don't need to talk to a manager. I can help you with that" and instead of taking my complaint, he proceeded to shove us off on a more experienced appraiser, Jonni.
Jonni claimed anything Allstate or anyone from Allstate had promised they would do or not do was no concern of hers. Therefore, she would not provide comparable cars in our area or fulfill any promise made by Joel. "I'm not technically breaking the law" became her honest refrain to nearly everything that I asked her for.
In the CCC One report, her "comparable vehicles" were nearly 150 miles out, not anywhere near the Seattle area in which we live. According to the law, you should start in the area you live in to see if there are comparable vehicles (there were), and then if there are none, you should reach out, 25 miles at a time, until you find a comparable vehicle. The maximum distance at the end of this search is 150 miles, but you are not supposed to start at 150 miles out to find deliberately cheaper and broken down vehicles, which is what she did. Again, when we called her on this, she said, "I'm not technically breaking the law, so what are you going to do about it?"
She also challenged me to prove the vehicle's worth. I did. She sent me three cars, which were on the other side of the state and had more mileage on them. I sent her every vehicle that met the requirements in our area; there were eight. My $13,000 estimate of my husband's jeep was low, so I thought I was being reasonable, but remember: Allstate pockets the difference between what your vehicle is worth and their too-low offer to replace it.
Jonni said she would give all estimates to an "independent valuation company" and have them print out a report, taking my data into consideration. Then she threw my data out. Apparently, adding in the data she told me she would add made the value of the car higher. So she only ran Allstate's own data back through its own software, CCC One, adding more junker cars nearly 150 miles out to her list, as if this would scare us off. I had to call the Department of Insurance (which I highly recommend anyone working with Allstate on a claim should do), and they recommended to me that I file a complaint against her and against Allstate.
In the meantime, my poor husband has been without a car, and once Allstate is done with us, we will be thousands of dollars worse off than we started, even when the other driver was at fault. This is because Allstate adjusters are not allowed to offer you more than a penny of whatever low value the computer program CCC One gives you. So either go to a different insurance company to make sure if you ever have a claim, it's handled fairly or just hope and pray that you never either cause or get in an accident with a driver insured by Allstate.

My father recently had an accident that with an Allstate driver. My Dad felt he was not at fault and so did the other driver. Both drivers were cited and given tickets at the accident. My insurance company told me that I should file a claim with the other Driver’s insurance company and that’s how I ended up dealing with Joseph **. From the very beginning his attitude and demeanor was very one sided, every question he asked was an assumption that we were in the wrong. We answered all his questions and he said he would follow up with us within the next day after he reviewed pictures and got statements from both drivers. Several days went by no phone call. I assume that this was due to the holidays coming up.
I called and left several messages within a week period after the accident, no call backs or emails. I waited until after Christmas and called and was finally able to get ahold of Joseph and during our conversation he was short and had an attitude and cut me off every time I asked a question about the claim. He wasn’t able to answer simple questions that a claim agent should know like what the police report said who was at fault and if I’m not held liable for the accident what the procedure would be from there. I had questions that I thought seemed legitimate to ask and he simply did not want to answer them and was completely rude about the whole situation. I will never do business with Allstate and recommend that anyone else looking for car insurance look elsewhere.

Proceeded to get car fixed at local repair shop. The car had comprehensive insurance with a 500-dollar deductible which I paid. Today De. 26, 2017 I get a notice from Allstate telling me my insurance rates have increased significantly. After calling the office I asked why the insurance went up, "'was it due to the claim backing out of garage?” In a roundabout way, beating around the bush the man finally said, “Well yes partially.” He told us it may go down in 3 years.
Basically it’s a loan to pay off the insurance claim, That I have been paying on for the last 19 years. I would have been better off paying the body shop cash instead of an extended loan to Allstate. This may be lengthy, so I apologize in advance. I've had Drivewise for a few months now and I've come to question its accuracy. I'm in a unique position as I've been designing GPS tracking systems since 1994 so I have the ability to measure things that most people can't when I suspect such systems are inaccurate. My attention was drawn to what Drivewise calls "hard braking" and "extreme braking" events. The app showed these events when I didn't believe they had occurred. First I looked into how they develop this data. It is a delta speed/time calculation which made me immediately suspect. So, I installed devices in my car that contain accelerometers that measure G forces from accelerating, stopping and cornering. I went on a drive with this equipment recording my every movement and reporting G forces.
The trigger I used for an alert is 250 milliG's for all three axis' of movement, a force so small that a human occupant would hardly notice it. During my test drive, there was not one signal instance of a braking event (or any event) that was equal to or greater than 250 mG. Yet the Drivewise app reported an instance of "extreme braking" during the trip. So, now we look at the raw data from the Drivewise sensor which is my iPhone. Lo and behold, gaps in the speed data and time data that when analyzed showed instances where the mph/min decrease in speed would qualify for an "extreme braking" event but not because the event took place but rather because there are "holes" in the data.
What difference does it make, you might ask. Well, Allstate is predicating discounts (during the first 6 months) on this data. Some of the things I read here suggest that after the initial 6 months, this faulty driver behavior data is being used to increase rates. Granted, I have had a small number of these events so far. 4 hard braking and 2 extreme braking over 3 months and nearly 5,000 miles of driving. However, even that has reduced the projected discount significantly. If you are going to use technology to reward or penalize behavior, you need to be sure your technology is 100%. My tests, against professional grade GPS devices, indicates that Allstate has a long way to go before this app can be rated anything better than "cludgy".
Overall, I am happy with Allstate, so I don't have an axe to grind. My agent is responsive and my rates are reasonable. Service that I've used has been good. I will say that Allstate did not respond to my submission of test data other than to say thanks for sending it along. I may discontinue the Drivewise app and suffer the loss of the initial discount because it simply isn't accurate and I don't want to be penalized for its shortcomings.

I was backed in to by an Allstate insured driver. The driver offered to fix my car without using the insurance company. I went and got an estimate for the repair and the rental. The cost was $2600. When I told the driver this she said that the insurance company would be contacted. Upon contacting Allstate they tell me to put the Photo Claim app on my phone to take photos of my car. I'm then given to an adjuster in Oklahoma to handle the claim. I take the photos of my car and tell the adjuster they have been uploaded. A few days later the photo claims people do an estimate that $600. The original one was $1900 for the repair, I call my adjuster and tell him that the photo claims people are trying to fix things that are not broken on my car. My adjuster sends the claim to a local adjuster to look at my car.
The adjuster showed up at the body without calling me to say he was coming. My car was not there because I was still driving it because Allstate didnt approve a rental for me. When the local adjuster called finally called me he was very rude. The adjuster Kelly said that he will tell me where I can take my car and that I have no say in the repair shop the car goes to if I want Allstate to pay the bill. This is against the law in Nevada. I spoke to a regional manager for claims in Nevada and told him the issues I had with Kelly. He said that he would have another adjuster call me. I had another adjuster call me and set up a time for an inspection of my car. Upon his arrival he looked at my car and started a new estimate. Upon the finishing of the estimate it was still $1000 less than what the body shop said the total cost was.
I was told that Allstate doesnt pay for new parts when they fix a car. Allstate only uses scrap parts from junk yards in the area where you live. I said I dont trust junk yard parts and was told to deal with it. I was also told that they do not pay full labor costs for repairs. If the shop charges $54/hr Allstate only pays $40/hr. I had gotten estimates at from a local body shop that is Ford Certified and from a Ford Body shop. Both body shops told me that they have issues with Allstate on how they fix cars. So 20 days after the accident Allstate paid out only half of the cost to repair my car and only approved 2 days of a rental on a 5 day repair. I was told that Allstate only pay for a compact car. I told them that I drive a Mustang and would like a mustang while mine is getting fixed. They said, "Sorry we dont cover same car. You get whatever $15-20 will get you."
To add insult to injury the person that hit me tried to get my insurance to pay for her car repair because she thought it was fair that Allstate paid for mine. Allstate said the accident was her fault and they would cover all repairs. I had the chance to have my car fixed the right way but I would have lost my $700 safe driver bonus. My personal Auto insurance states that only Factory OEM "NEW" parts are to be used in the repair of my car. Allstate said, "You can use your personal policy and we will only pay out $1000 back to your insurance company because we dont cover new parts." Several people I work with that have Allstate are looking for other coverage after seeing how I was treated. Any company that trusts parts from a junkyard just lowered the value of your car, puts your family at risk if parts fail. My advice for all Allstate customers is to find a new company, because you are not in their good hands.

After being broadsided by an Allstate insured and reporting the claim it would take a week to hear from Allstate. They say they were trying to contact us but we're using an old number. Why they didn't call my cell number (which they had) is anyone guess. How they obtained the old number is also anyone's guess. Then I had to collect the accident report for them before they would accept responsibility. So I was a week without a rental. Allstate told me that the police would release the accident report to me faster than they would send it to the insurance company. However as of one week after the accident Allstate had not even requested the accident report. Once Allstate determined that my car was a write off they only gave me a few days before I had to turn the rental back in.
I was broadsided only one week after obtaining my vehicle and the state had not yet issued me the title for my car. Allstate would not pay me until I had a title to give them. So I was without a rental for another week waiting for the state to send me my title. It was not my fault that I was broadsided before receiving the title to my car. Apparently that was my problem and not theirs. Apparently if I had been hit one day after obtaining the car I would have been without a rental for an additional week.
Meanwhile the amount of money Allstate had to pay to the towing company who held on to the car for days was well over $800.00. And the amount of money they had to pay for storage at the repair shop, as the car sat waiting for Allstate to finalize the claim and have the car removed was way larger still. So I believe the towing company the repair shop and the car rental company came out ahead from my being broadsided. Mostly because of Allstate's delays. Meanwhile I have been inconvenience. In fairness to Allstate they did offer to reimburse me the $15.00 bill I paid to obtain the accident report.
If I could find it and mail it in. My recommendation to anyone who has been hit by an Allstate insured driver is this. Insisted on getting the insurance company information including policy number at the accident. Don't submit it to your insurance company, as they will pay you less your deductible. And you will have to wait many many months for them to sort it out with Allstate and reimburse you for deductible. Reported the accident to Allstate that very day and inform them you are going to rent a car from Enterprise. And that you suggest Allstate request the accident report right away. Don't do it for them. Give Enterprise the Allstate policy information and that you want the Allstate discount (Enterprise has a discount for Allstate) tell Enterprise you don't need the additional collision coverage.
Allstate covers their own collision coverage. Once Allstate does accept responsibility they will inform Enterprise and Enterprise will mark the rental agreement accordingly. Meanwhile enjoy the car rental for as long as you can and meanwhile let Allstate pay towing storage and rental coverage for however long it takes them to get around to addressing your claim. FYI don't forget to make sure you provide Allstate the names and contact information of everyone who was also in your vehicle.

I had a small accident last month with another car backed up on my car from a roadside parking lot while I was driving with full right of way causing a fender bender. The agent worked impressively hard trying everything to save Allstate cost: Took a keyword "slowly backup" from the statement as evidence that I should have enough time and responsibility to avoid the accident; Called the body shop asking for cheap repair instead of asking for professional repair. Pushed 20% responsibility my way only based on the other party's statement regardless the facts I provided to prove it is 100% fault on the other party. I have learned two lessons from experience with Allstate: Stay away from Allstate as their primary motivation is to save cost for Allstate; Stay away from the cars insured by Allstate, because you will always have to have responsibility regardless what kind of accident it is.

My car was totaled by someone with Allstate insurance. I knew it would be a hassle, but I didn't expect a "reputable" company like Allstate to penny pinch the way they did. My frustration is that Allstate left me in a position of having to pay nearly $2000 out of my own pocket in order to replace my car that was totaled. I did not ask them to reimburse lost time at work and I didn't ask to be reimbursed for the pain I had in my knee for more than a week. I simply asked them to put me in an equivalent vehicle without it costing me money and they wouldn't do it.
They have very clever ways to hide behind excuses so it is no one's fault and there is no one you can talk to. They look for ways to say we aren't required to pay for that even though I have to pay for it to replace my vehicle. Their pettiness goes down even to the rental car. Not only do they want to put me in the cheapest tin can on wheels even if that is unsuitable for my needs, but when there were no cats available at their price point they said that was my problem, not theirs. I also was told they would no longer pay for the rental car even though we had not yet reached a settlement. The delays were all on their end, but that wasn't their problem. I had to return the rental and borrow a car or pay for the rental myself.
The communication was bad I would be told someone would contact me on a given day and I wouldn't hear from them until a few days later. I worked with four different people who would all start friendly and then get angry when you simply asked to be treated fairly. They would come up with extra hoops to jump through and made me do the work in searching for comparable vehicles that they should have done. They then tried to argue that they weren't comparable. At one point their employee insinuated that I would cheat them if I could.
This is a corporation that does not believe in doing what is right, or living up to their responsibilities. I'm sure what they are doing is fully legal, but it isn't right. They also provide no recourse to resolve complaints. I literally had an employee invite me to sure them if I want happy with the outcome. I asked for a way to communicate my displeasure to the powers that be and I was ignored. I was left only with the option to post reviews online and encourage as many people as I could to not do business with this company.

Allstate is the insurer for GM. When my GM car wouldn't start, I called their roadside assist for a tow. The tow truck did $5,800 of damage to my carport and driveway. I furnished a repair estimate to Allstate, along with the photos they requested. They denied my claim and offered $500. When I asked why, they flatly refused to answer and told me to take the $500 or nothing. When I told them I would complain to GM, I got an email that said, "Done and paid." After a week, I asked about the check and was told the email was a mistake and they're considering the claim. It's been a month now and when I checked back, they said, they're still working on it.

Well in I file my claim it was easy and they handled it quickly but now I know people who have filed a claim and they are having to wait on an insurance adjuster because they are on a few and they are in territories now and you have to wait on one.

Been an Allstate Customer for over 5 years. Never had a claim with them. Gave my daughter one of my cars to use, allowed her to register it (something I have done before with other cars, no issue). My daughter could not afford the insurance for the luxury vehicle so she returned it to me. I added it back to my policy and the next month my car was stolen. I filed a report. They took 6 months and an intense investigation to deny my claim. This insurance only works for people who may never put in a claim... Does anything to avoid paying claims.

I have never had a moving violation or a ticket, yet my rates keep increasing. They went down for one 6 month period when I first signed up for Drivewise. Then it went right back up plus more than I was initially paying. The agency I dealt with closed and did not inform me that my agent would not be MY agent any longer. In June 2017 I was in an accident. A guy insured with Farmers rear ended me while I was stopped at a light leaving the dealership. I Had just purchased a vehicle to replace my existing vehicle WITHIN 2 WEEKS. I called Allstate. They told me (as I already knew) I was covered, and that when replacing a car I had 30 days to change the vehicles. Farmers paid for my damages to my car. Driver admitted he was at fault. I had unresolved medical conditions due to a doctor saying it would take a year to 16 months for injury to heal. At 16 months I still wasn't better and in fact created a stress fracture. At which time once again doctor said xray didn't show. Had MRI and it showed the break at which time the doctor said it was there the whole time, the xray 18 months later, identical to first one... Confirmed he missed the break.
So Allstate refused my medical and wouldn't submit to Farmers. Now they say I didn't have insurance on the car on day of accident, even after faxing me a insurance card demonstrating the car for several months. However they did not come up with this situation until I hired an attorney to make them pay the medical bills. While this was all going on I had a show car stolen, after in email advising my agent the car now has custom paint and performance upgrades and was worth considerably more so how do we cover that in insurance, she e-mailed they really don't change policies, to keep every receipt in case anything happens.
So after 13k invested, it stolen, they say oh if it's stolen and recovered they don't pay anything but stock actual value, oh a whopping 4800. The paint alone was 6800. Oh and they say a policyholder is not allowed to purchase the VEHICLE back after the total loss if it was due to THEFT. WTH... THEY ONLY WANT TO PAY 1/3 of the receipt amounts, and still I can't buy it back to try and salvage some of my 2/3 investment Losses.

Beware!! They’ll quote you cheap rates until you switch, then you’ll get bills from them for additional fees! From day one with this company, nothing has been as it seemed. After a big rise in our auto insurance rate, I called 3 days before my policy expired to let them know I wanted to cancel my policy and although she tried to bring my rate down, she could not.
Today, a full MONTH later, my account was debited by Allstate for our auto insurance, which overdrafted my account. When I called the office in Clarkston, MI, I spoke with the same person I had previously spoken and she said she did not remember talking with me. She apologized profusely for the error, but said there was nothing she could do, and they do not refund overdraft fees.
After spending nearly a half of day on the phone with my bank and Allstate, I received a call from a woman at corporate only to tell me that since there was nothing documented in my account about canceling my policy, and I could not prove anything in writing, they could not reimburse my overdraft fees. I can’t imagine what people that need to file a claim must go through. I do not recommend Allstate Insurance, nor will I ever do business with them again.

On September 3rd our car was in a car accident, Allstate wanted us to use their own body shop (certified collision). They brainwashed us (our mistake) to use their body shop because they said it was going to have lifetime warranty and be faster, so after they gave us an estimate and promised our car would be ready in 4 weeks... 4 weeks later they told us that it wasn’t ready yet. By that time our car rental period was over so we had to find another car to drive while my car was getting fixed. Then after another week they kept saying it wasn’t ready. Then we spoke to the shop manager of the body shop and he said the guy that was working on the car “drop the ball” on our vehicle and they needed to have someone else start to work on it and finish it, and the shop manager stated he needed another 4 weeks to finish the project because it was just too big!
So weeks passed and almost 3 months later, also Allstate giving us excuses and not answering our questions (Tonna ** our insurance agent being rude and making unnecessary comments and nonprofessional comments like how that happened to her when she was young and she got over it etc instead of helping us out. She also stated that she would never take her car to that shop, so how did she expect us to be safe and happy with this car?). Then finally they gave me my car back on November 15, almost 3 months after! Can’t believe how nice they are while collecting the monthly payment every month but once you get into an accident where it wasn’t even your fault they don’t help you at all and don’t care about you as a customer.
The original estimate to repair was $12,000. So Allstate didn’t want to pay me full price for my car because they said that still was repairable because it had no frame Damage and because it wasn’t more than 80% of the value of my car which for my car I paid around $16,000 just around 2 months before the accident. So when I received my car back, the body shop manager showed me and gave me copies of how much they spent to repair my car and the total is $17,100, that’s more of what I paid for my car!
But this is not it. After I picked up my car I went to CarMax to get an appraisal to see how much is worth now if I want to trade it in because my family and I don’t feel safe In the car anymore, and at Carmax our appraisal offer is for only $10,000! They explained in a very detail manner that our car has obvious frame damage on multiple sections of the car frame and they don’t even buy those cars with frame damage to resell. They could buy my car for $10,000 and they would have to send it to an auction right away. They were so amazed to know how an auto insurance lied to us about the car not having frame damage and being repairable for more money of what the car cost. CarMax people told us is not safe at all to be driving the car with my 1 year old baby in it.
Please be aware of Allstate and the way they handle their business. Also we got a few calls from Our agent manager named Brandon ** and he was being rude saying that they couldn’t do anything and that we had to keep the car and offering a $250 check after everything that they put us through like that was going to make me feel safer in this car. I hope nobody else goes thru this. Better spend more money for a better insurance like AAA than deal with these liars and their sketchy and nonresponsible shops. I will never recommend Allstate to anyone anymore and I’ll never go back!

This shows poor customer service and accountability. I first engaged Allstate on 10/9/17. 4 days after my accident. My own insurance helped get things going. Total loss was not initially discussed until 10/17/17, whereupon a compensation amount was verbally provided. I was supposed to receive the valuation via email. It was not sent. I had to engage them several times to review. Finally on 10/31 I was able to talk with a manager. It was explained to me that I should have received the compensation amount on 10/17 via email for me to review after declining the valuation given over the phone. I would expect no one to agree to some monetary figure without researching the assessment and comparables.
Once I reviewed the report, I discovered that it omitted several features on my car that would have increased the value. I subsequently brought this up with the Total Loss Department. They apologized, and then told me my rental would need to be returned on 11/2. Mind you, the valuation was wrong and was not provided for my review until 10/31. A company who erred should take accountability for their ineptitude. Rather, with no revised figure, I am being inconvenienced for their lack of professionalism. I am still awaiting them for resolution on my compensation amount. Terrible business ethics and class. In the future, if I have to deal with Allstate, I’ll file a claim through my insurance and let them sort out their issues without affecting me.

Allstate was so delayed, that I had to go through my insurance for a rental car. When Allstate finally decided to begin covering for my rental car, the employees had horrible communication skills and horrible customer service skills. They would hang up on me, rarely answer my calls, and just gave me a horrible experience overall. Not only that, but they initially said my car was repairable (when I could have told you it was not), then they changed their mind saying it was a total loss. Then they switched it again and said that it was repairable, until they finally agreed that it was totaled.
During them going back and forth, I had the rental car this whole time. So once they FINALLY returned my money to UFCU (which was $3000 less than what I had purchased it for. They were very dramatic, stating that the seats were very stained, reminding you that this car was so new that I did not even have the license plates on), & I was able to purchase another car. I went to return my rental car. I had not heard from Allstate in about a week, even though they said they were going to return my call.
Enterprise claimed that Allstate had not been covering the past 2 weeks that I had rented the car... So I ended up having to pay almost $300 for the rental car out of my pocket, even though their client is the one who caused the collision & they lacked expertise on deciding whether or not my car was totaled, and their employees would hang up on me, not return my phone calls, & as I mentioned, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Yet, they claimed to have continued with the coverage without my knowledge hence the reason why they demanded more money from me. I explained to the agent that when I agreed to buy the policy I was told that was the final amount I have to pay & no hidden extras. I demanded to replay my conversation Martinez Dynasty on their recorder to get some justification.
After over an hour of debating with him, he advised that if we do not pay he would cancel our policy two months before our policy expires. This being said, we had no option but to insure our cars somewhere else since Allstate no longer covers both of my cars. Allstate technically owed us two months which should have been refunded to us. Instead I received an auto collection notice dated October 10, 2017 asking us to pay them for cancelling the policy. I would like to understand how after three entire months that you would still side with your insured story even though it is well documented that she has continued to change her statements regarding the accident. I have not wavered from my account from day one speaking with the police officers immediately after the accident. That is where you find the most honest accounts before time changes and fades memory. That is why a police report is THE MOST ACCURATE statement and not when it's modified months after to help the one at fault by the one at fault!
My statement: I was traveling in the far left hand lane on the 710 in stop and go traffic roughly 45 miles per hour. My husband and two children were in the car. I was not changing lanes. I was not attempting to do anything yet continue along straight in my lane. Out of nowhere your client came left INTO MY LANE. Striking the front passenger side door and front wheel well pushing my car towards the cement barrier as I slammed on my brakes and applied firm pressure to my horn. I called the police who escorted us off the freeway. A second motorcycle police officer joined us and interviewed your driver as the SUV police officer spoke with me. We left as both police officers continued to speak to your insured.
Your insured statement has changed from my own communications with Allstate multiple times in false statements: She claimed I merged into her lane. She claimed as she merged into my lane I sped up. She claimed she never spoke to a officer. She claimed there was one officer. She claimed she spoke no English. She claimed the officer lied in his report. She was dissatisfied with TWO of your own agents
At this point I understand she pays you but I would hope that a moral obligation to perform the job insurances are there for which is to right wrongs would take priority. I have since the six unanswered emails and many phone calls and having to get help via social media researched Allstate and your company has one of the worst reviews of insurance companies. Perhaps it's cases like this that are minimal to such a large company that leaves bad taste in people mouths. I will be sure to share our experience to those looking for insurance companies that have good reputations... Again I can not see how your driver once again changing her story and saying she will go to the police three months later holds any weight of truth on the accident. Very disappointing.

I was in disbelief. They are not giving me credit but selling a service, which I pay in advance to have coverage. All I can is that after this bad customer service practice, if my score would change tomorrow and they would offer me a 50% discount over what I pay with Geico to change company, I would say a big fat NO. Will never rely/trust a company that pick and chose their customers like that, because that proves me that they are caring 100% about themselves only. Geico is totally proving me wrong??? I can only imagine it's because of lawsuits filed against them which they have lost ($600,000 judgment against them in CA for false advertising, for one). We have always paid our premiums in advance and in full with "EasyPay," but because I didn't want this to kick in again since we were terminating our insurance with Allstate at the end of the term, I unenrolled in it with about a month left on the current policy.
I then got a notice that we owed $55.23 because we had unenrolled. The local agent couldn't do anything about removing the charge, so she "escalated" it. I received a call from the Allstate Customer Rep and explained the situation. She said it was not possible to remove the charge. I told her we had always paid in full, never made a claim, and that this charge was not acceptable and therefore I would not be paying it. He had the nerve to bill me for a car I never insured with him. I refused to pay. I called the CORPORATE office, they said I owe the $$$. Long story short, they sent me to collection for money I DON'T owe. RUN AWAY!!! ALLSTATE IS A RIP OFF, STAY AWAY FROM THEM OR YOU'LL REGRET IT!!! Due to my own stupidity I caused an accident resulting in the total loss of my vehicle. The agents that handled my case were courteous and professional. Allstate covered some 90 percent of the cost for a rental car for a month. I received a check for the value of my wreck within two weeks of the accident, (in fact, I made a mistake and didn't sign over the title correctly and Allstate did a great job of correcting that for me). I never had the problems getting hold of an agent when I had a question or comment, I was impressed with the options that I was offered. I can't speak for the experience of others on this site, but I must say, Allstate did right by me.

The car was a convertible, I recently had the top done over for about 1900, new brakes and tires about another 1,000. and they gave me 3400 for the car. Thank a lot Allstate.

My family has been a loyal customer to Allstate for years (maybe 20+) with our family auto policy, homeowner policy, and landlord policy and I have a spotless driving record. In 2015, I was a victim of hit and run, thus I had to use my auto insurance to cover the damage. My original intent was to hire a lawyer to save me some headaches dealing with aggressive adjusters but Allstate convince me that “we will take a good care of you” and “lawyers will only blow things out of proportion”. They ensured me that I can take as long as I needed with my treatments and after it’s all done, they will take care of all the damages.
After over a year of treatment, I was becoming very frustrated with continued pain in my neck. I couldn’t figure out why no Chiropractor and Physical Therapies weren’t working. They took an x-ray but there was no fracture found. Right around then, Allstate became impatient and began sending me letters to let me know the “treatment should come to an end as after all, it was just a minor accident”, they will “need to review all the treatments to see if they were appropriate” and they may reject some bills based on their findings. I was shocked. What happened to “we want you to get fully better” “we will take a good care of you”.
To my surprise, they offered me a settlement far less than the total bills incurred. I made multiple inquiries on it but their response was “This is our final offer. If you aren’t satisfied, you need to go to arbitration and may consider hiring a lawyer”. They know very well no lawyer would take you in the middle of a case. I called over 10 lawyers, but no luck. I finally found 1 who sympathized with my situation and said it’s upsetting how a big insurance company bullies client who only want to get the bills paid. He agreed to take my case, had me visit another doctor and ordered an MRI. The results showed I had disc herniation in my spine. I underwent 2 procedures in 2016. My lawyer went back to Allstate, demanded all bills to be paid + loss wage + pain/suffering for 2 years. Needless to say, I switched to another insurance company.

I was instructed to use an app to upload pictures. The adjuster prepared an estimate for less than $350. Which is joke considering the type of vehicle that I drive. I was told I would receive a rental comparable to my vehicle. That was not the case at all. I received a rental that doesn't even have a phone charging option in the car. My phone calls have not been returned from Torrey **, who is suppose to be the claims adjuster. This hasn't been a very pleasant experience at all. I really doubt that he signed the waiver and I have yet to see any document from Allstate showing that he did. I think their business practices are unethical and deceitful. They won't even pay out when they're guaranteed to get the money back via subrogation when the claim is settled. Allstate is the worst company for customer loyalty. I have had Allstate for over 20 years. I have never had a moving violation or accident claim. I had a small mishap. Someone had parked in front of my driveway late at night. I did not see them when I pulled out of my garage, but then they were there and I literally rolled into them. Allstate said it was my fault and raised my premium by two thousand dollars a year! Really TWO THOUSAND! The repairs to both cars were less than that! Got five other insurance quotes that lowered my premium by $1700.00 a year even with the mishap. Customer loyalty is not in their vocabulary. I also have my homeowners insurance with them. I guess paying my premiums on time for both policies over twenty years doesn't mean anything to them. Don't ever go with Allstate. They don't have your back!

If you don't turn in an odometer reading in a timely manner to a specific processing address (and NO your local agent can't take it) then you are charged with an exaggerated yearly mileage use to increase your rates. The only way to fix it is to send a verified odometer reading from a repair shop that shows a lower reading. I was trying to get my last reading from my local office for a nonoperational vehicle (over a year down with no battery = no reading available) and the computers had been down. I wasn't able to get back before the deadline on the paper. Now I'm screwed for an extra $30/month until I get better insurance. Allstate has a policy to deny car insurance claims because it saves us money. When a client causes an accident, it is the policy of Allstate to say the other person was liable despite the police report. No company has to follow the officer's statement of who was at fault. When Allstate states you are at fault and you're honestly not: report them. Writing on a blog won't help. Report them to ALDOI if you are in Alabama. And the insurance agency in your particular state. They strip you of all dignity when you work for them because they give you no option to be honest with people who may have lost everything in an accident that is not their fault.

Allstate responded quickly when I called with a claim. Actually, they responded so many times I called back asap to get them to stop reaching out to me. They helped me update my information and transferred me to a person who could get me a better agent as well. I was happy with that. Adjuster: The Chelmsford MA adjuster was a bit of a jerk. He treated me like a dumb woman and having a background in insurance and a brother who's a mechanic, it was insulting. HE suggested a different auto body shop than the one I have used in the past- this was unusual as Allstate doesn't promote shops, but I took his offer to heart (a MISTAKE). The adjuster, when he stopped talking & got down to it, was quick & I got out of there.
Claim Service: Claims Agent Nikki was very nice and pleasant. The website was handy- especially when the body shop kept claiming they submitted the paperwork but Allstate wasn't getting the fax. We drove over, took a pic of the paperwork & uploaded it in 2 minutes. Suddenly the body shop's paperwork was faxed in. I'm not sure who's at fault - it was ridiculous though. The website and App are helpful to have some form of control over it.
Rental Car: Coverage was fine, Enterprise worked well. BUT Allstate canceled the coverage before I got back to my state (I was 6 hrs away when repair completion was called into Allstate) and after I picked up the car & returned the rental I called to get the final day paid for. Here's the bizarre thing: The Claims Number DIDN'T WORK. Suddenly, Nikkie ** was gone. I sent a message via the website, no response, no access via the phone. Nothing. So I guess we pay the extra fee for the rental. Glad it won't break us- but it's poor service- especially after the claims person assured me herself that the rental would be paid until I had my car back. Guess not.
Recommendation: Clear up when things happen early in the process- before they select "Claim Closed" in their system. Also- be sure to communicate with agent about how Allstate communicates with repair shop, car owners should have some involvement. So a good claims process turned not so good by disappearing behavior. We are switching this fall to firms via a general insurance agent. No more 800# insurance policies for us.

The last time I filed an auto insurance claim was 1986 (excluding a cracked windshield in 1999), and no tickets or accidents in 30 years. On July 28, 2017, my fairly new Honda CRV with fewer than 7,800 miles ran across road debris. Not an accident, but the tire immediately lost pressure. I pulled into a convenience store parking lot. With six 70-millimeter screws holding my spine together, I was unable to change the tire. I phoned Allstate Roadside Assistance. A wasted two hours! When Alexa put the third call on hold for 23 minutes, I disconnected and phoned the repair shop where a certified mechanic changes oil and rotates tires.
He advised calling Tire Kingdom, which provided the phone number of a tow truck owner who was there in ten minutes. Although Allstate's non-assistance rep said I'd have to wait four hours and the cost of assistance would be $150, part of which was covered, Poinciana Towing charged only $50, which will be reimbursed. Thing is, 14 calls to Allstate have yet to even obtain the form to submit for reimbursement. Three of the calls were dropped by Allstate's phone system, and the reps did not call back, though they had access to my policy and contact info. I can only imagine what would happen if this 65-year-old actually had an accident and filed a claim. When the policy expires on December 15, I'll obtain a new policy with a reputable company. However, Allstate is at the top of my list due to their unfair practices of denying to pay claims even when they have a police report that states who is at fault.
I had an accident where their insured was at fault. We all went to the police station together to file the report. After submitting the claim to Allstate, they refused to fix my car. They said that their insured said it was our fault. Allstate had the proof of who was at fault, yet they still refused to fix my car. I have never had insurance with Allstate. I was involved in an accident that was not my fault but because I had PIP included in my coverage I filed a claim just so I could get my medical bills paid. I had to file a claim for vehicle damage a few months ago while on an out of state trip. I was assured by a pleasant sounding representative that everything would be fine and taken care of, and that Allstate was there to assist me in any way possible. I was equally assured that using an Allstate approved body shop would make the process run much more smoothly. That Allstate approved body shop reported back to Allstate and myself that even though it was convenient that the body damage and mechanical damage happened at the same time, they were unrelated issues. Allstate therefore only covered the body damage and left the mechanical damage unresolved, even after I had paid my deductible. In addition to my deductible, I had to pay out of pocket for a week's worth of a rental car as well as an overnight hotel stay while trying to baby my still defective car 11 hours to my home after it was released from the body shop.
Now my car sits, dead, at my home. I purchased the car six years ago and had paid it off completely within the first month of purchase, including an extended warranty. I'd kept up on regular maintenance as well as anything that came up along the way and I have the meticulous records to prove it. Before this incident I had yet to file a claim and hadn't, in my entire driving career, been in an accident. I carried full coverage because it made sense to me that if anything were to happen, I would want the situation resolved without incident. The resources and responsibility that I've invested into this vehicle ceased to matter when I trusted Allstate as my car insurance. On top of spending my savings on this disaster, I'll have to either finance repairs or another pre-owned vehicle, either of which requires a monthly payment that I have already paid over and again in the form of a monthly Allstate bill.
Insurance is supposed to be a protective factor, but this company has simply taken what I've worked for. In attempting to resolve this issue, I've made attempts to contact my agent, none of which have been returned. A month ago I stopped trying to contact anyone and am now spending another night on the computer trying to find a way to fix this. It's really not that easy to scrape up a few grand for repairs when the savings has already been depleted on the same issue. The ads on television make this company look like a cut above the rest; if only that were true. Consumer money pays for those ads, but for what? It's been a shame to have trusted this company with a valuable asset. Whether I can fix this car or have to finance a new one, a different company will be paid to protect it and little by little, Allstate will lose the money handed to them each month for their plush advertisements which, in actuality, amount to nothing.

Prior to the accident, my car was in great condition and well cared for. Allstate's adjuster, Jessica **, agreed with the repairs, but said they needed to run the value of my vehicle to decide whether to total my car or pay the repairs. I provided all necessary documentation to aid in the value of my car. I was told that I would receive a response in 48 hours at the very latest.
Four days later, after I left several unanswered messages, I finally heard back from Allstate. They said that they could not work with my body shop. They did not agree with the required repairs and refused to pay to have my car fixed. They also would not total my vehicle either. So, Allstate is admitting that their driver was at fault, but is refusing to pay to make me whole again. Allstate said that they do this to several drivers a week. They have taken away my livelihood and are walking away from their responsibility. As the driver at fault's insurance company, Allstate has done everything to screw over the victim. When they state Allstate "You are in good hands". Let's see if you really are in good hands. Your coverage seems fine until you get in a accident and need Allstate to repair your vehicle. Allstate appraisers allow the cheapest used or aftermarket parts replacement for your vehicle, they don't care about the quality of the parts going to your vehicle. Also they do not cover the necessary procedures needed to proper repair your vehicle. They want to shops to perform the procedures for free. They want to allow for USED structural parts replacement for your vehicle, that's something that can easily compromise the safety of the vehicle.
Also they do not comply with State law. A supplement was requested on a Friday, they only showed up for the supplement inspection on the following week Thursday. Massachusetts state laws states: The insurer shall assign an appraiser who shall personally inspect the damaged vehicle within three business days of the receipt of such request. So... Within two weeks, the other parties' insurance (Allstate) denied the claim based solely on the recorded statements alone of both parties. Needless to say it went to arbitration and the 3rd party decision ruled that my daughter was not at fault based on the recordings, police report (which Allstate did not even have at the time their decision was made), and the eye witness' report.
Now we have to use our insurance company and probably go thru arbitration again to get our car fixed. The repairs will most likely be under a $1000, wouldn't it speak highly of an insurance company to not only take care of their own customers but also take care of the other parties involved when proven that they were not at fault. We were treated horribly during the month of getting our truck fixed. All they did was harass us because they (Allstate) could not get a hold of the body shop. Allstate would go back and forth on the rental we had at their expense. Worst experience we have ever had to go through. We are dropping Allstate.

I had been an Allstate customer for over 20 years. I hadn't use my insurance for an accident in years and then I had an accident. Allstate would not pay for "Chevy part" and nothing new because my car was a 2005 and was at that time was 7 years old. So, all parts were aftermarket. I had to get one new headlight because it was broken but the other one, which now looks terrible in comparison, is yellowed. The paint began peeling off of the plastic bumper within months, they were given a hood that was in worse shape than mine after the accident to fix and use on my car. I had a grill that was actually broken when they tried to return it to me. I've written letters to the higher ups at Allstate to no avail. They don't care. I keep my car in pristine shape and now after 1 accident it's lost most of its value because Allstate, after taking thousands of my dollars in premiums, refused to fix my car the right way.
I recommend that NO ONE use them for insurance. AND, their accident forgiveness is a joke, you have to pay for that. So not only did I get horrific service I then had to pay a considerable amount more. I went shopping around for insurance and found one that was 1/3 the amount Allstate was charging me for the same coverage, I gave them my Allstate policy to quote from. So now I've been ripped off by the company, I have a car that is worth far less than it would be because of the horrible repair job and when I cancelled my insurance they cancelled it a month early so they caused me all kinds of problems with the State because it looked like I was uninsured for a month. It took them 6 weeks (at least) to fix that.
I've seen others have significant problems with Allstate so I wanted to make sure I put my review in. I tried to go through the Better Business Bureau but only with the last problem with the state, I should have done it when I had the accident. BBB is the only reason, I believe, that I got the insurance issue with the state fixed as soon as it did. Terrible company, terrible customer service. Terrible pricing, even after you've been a customer for over 20 years. TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED.

This information is current as of June 28, 2017. I had an auto accident on May 24, 2017 which included property damage. The vehicle is leased. Problems with the vehicle claim. The original estimate from the Allstate claims adjuster was 11K+. The collision shop found substantially more damage and the vehicle was declared totaled.
In attempting to get the status of the payment to the leasing company from Allstate, first they said a photocopy of the check was received by the claims department on June 12 and sent to the leasing company; then the date was changed to June 15. Then the story became the check was issued on June 20, cancelled the same day (but they didn’t know why) and then reissued. However, they were unable to confirm the check was sent to the leasing company because someone neglected to assign a tracking number to the check, something which they normally do. So more than a month since the accident, the location of the check is unknown. Would they except this story from me if it was my premium payment we were discussing?
Problems with the property damage. There was damage to three garages. A contractor examined and gave estimates for each garage, plus the owners submitted additional damages for items which were in the garages. All three estimates were submitted to Allstate who approved the work be done. Here is where it gets interesting: because it is a condo development, all units have to look uniform, so I requested the payment be made to the condo association so the manager could oversee the work and provide payment to the contractor. Big mistake - now Allstate informs me that since only one check will be written to the condo association, it now falls under a large claim category instead of three small claims, even though the amounts have not changed.
They call the condo manager (instead of me) and tell him they now have to schedule an inspection of the damage. Their inspector comes out, his estimate comes within $15 dollars of the contractor’s estimate. Sounds good, right? No, not good - I was then informed that Allstate would not pay the full amount , but would deduct depreciation due to the age of the garages. This was not mentioned when they had approved the total amount of the three individual claims. And what are they depreciating - the lumber, the nails? They are repairing the garages, not replacing them.
I will add here that the total damages were less than 9K, my policy ‘says’ I’m covered for 100K, but Allstate will pay $2200+ less than the amounts agreed upon by the contractor and their inspector. My local agent suggested that I tell the three garage owners to contact their insurance companies and submit claims to cover the difference. Why? They had nothing to do with it. Should they have to go through the process and risk a possible increase in their rates? That does not sound right to me. I have written a check to cover the amount Allstate refuses to pay. I have written a letter describing everything to the CEO of Allstate, with copies to the Regional Manager of Allstate and the Ohio Department of Insurance. I will submit an update to ConsumerAffairs.com when all is settled.

I was totally confused. I was not explained by them that I was not able to cancel the policy as they required 10% from the overall annual premium. My old insurance offered a more economical quote. They offered to charge $230.00 dollars monthly for my three cars. I feel the consumers are stuck with companies that only want your money. I am so disappointed that after being a loyal customer for 10+ years, and always paying my premiums on time that we have been denied a refund for our duplicate coverage. I switched to another carrier in January and sent a letter in February to Allstate. Didn't hear anything back about my coverage being canceled and assumed it would simply take awhile. Sent another letter in March at which point I get a NASTY phone message (the first contact since requesting the refund and VERY condescending) about needing to provide proof of the duplicate insurance before they will cancel. Fine. That was all they asked for. I put it on the back burner and planned to do it.
I am a teacher and Spring time is very busy. Had a lot going on personally and finally when school was out for summer, had time to take care of this. Sent the required documents. Got another phone call from "corporate" and was made to feel about 2 inches tall as this rude lady spoke very condescendingly to me again to tell me it was now too late and they would NOT be issuing a refund. NEVER in any correspondence did they mention that there was DEADLINE to receive my money. Her response was that is "industry standard". My response: I don't work in insurance. How was I supposed to know that if it was never communicated? By the way, the only way they tried to contact me was by calling my CELL PHONE in the middle of the day while I was teaching (who answers 800 numbers on their cell phone?). And to my knowledge, they only ever left a voice mail ONE time on our landline phone.
They claim they sent emails and this is supposed to count as adequate contact. On the phone to the very rude lady who sounded like she was calling from a Collection Agency. I owned up to my part of it - That I did not send the proof of insurance immediately. To my claim that they let me down as a long-time customer by never conveying the deadline to me, they skirted all responsibility. They did not see that being any fault of their own. It was MY fault for not knowing this. We had ONE claim in 11 years. We paid on time for 11 years.
They KNEW since February that I was requesting a refund. It's not as if I asked them for a refund AFTER the policy lapsed. I repeatedly asked while the policy was active. Seems to me they deliberately withheld information about the deadline to refund me money in hopes of keeping it. I am so glad to be rid of them. If you are planning to cancel Allstate, please be aware, they will make it difficult.
What would have made my experience better? One: To have received a call from my agent's office directly, back in February at the first request, explaining not ONLY what was required but the "time frame" as well. That was crucial information missing from literally all communication from them. Two: To not have outsourced my case to their call center where I was condescended to for not knowing insurance industry standards. I felt like I was being called by a collection agency for nonpayment, when in fact I had *overpaid* for months.
Three: Had my agent actually called me himself in the beginning, to express any kind of concern for losing a customer I actually might have stayed. Silly me. I actually thought I meant something to them. We were the ideal customers. We paid and paid and paid... And only filed one claim in 11 years. We were numbers on a page to them. In my experience, they do not care about their customers at all. I honestly thought we were "In good hands with Allstate". But if Allstate is genuinely interested in how they can improve their customers' experience perhaps this email can be shared (although I do not expect that to happen).

We just purchased 6 months worth of vehicle insurance for several vehicles at our home. The amount of close to $2800 for 5 vehicles. We wrote them a check, and I thought that was the end of it. One of the vehicle and a recall, and we decided to get new brake pads and an oil change while we were at the dealership. We wrote them a check too. A few days later, the bank notified us that our $674 check to Lexus was returned. This happened right when the bank was closing, so I had to wait until the next day. I couldn't even get $20 dollars worth of gas for my truck.
The next morning, I reviewed with the bank what all was deducted recently. I found out that Allstate had deducted $2800 dollars from my bank account TWICE! That caused my check with Lexus to be returned, and I have no money in my bank account until Allstate refunds the $2800 they deducted from my bank account. The issue is still unresolved, and I have bills that are due. Due to Allstate, I was forced to deposit some saved and backup cash in my bank account just to pay some bills. On top of that, Allstate has to wait for corporate to refund my $2800 dollars that they basically stole from me. It's been 48 hours since this incident has happened, and I still don't have my money. On top of that, our insurance rates seems to be going up.
We have not had any wrecks or speeding tickets in years. The most recent one was a deer that ran out in front of us, but apparently, that's our fault too according to Allstate. God knows when I will be refunded the money they stole from me because they were never given permission from me to deduct an extra $2800 from my bank account. How can it be an accident when I wrote them a damn check with the precise amount? What if this happened to someone who didn't have the backup money or saved money until their stolen money was returned? I guess Allstate would have to let that person starve to death or their electricity cut off. Allstate's slogan should be, "YOU ARE NOT IN GOOD HANDS!" I will provide the proof of the receipt, and the bank statement portion showing where $2800 dollars is deducted twice when I get a chance. I don't have it with me at the moment.

I've sadly had Allstate insurance for 22 years: home and auto. I recently filed an auto claim after an unfortunate incident with the weather causing damage to my car. I drive an older classic car which I keep fully insured. Allstate seems fine if you never file a claim, but file a claim and that is when you get treated like crap. I was accused of lying by the inspecting agent as to how the car was damaged. That was the first problem, the second problem was when he said, "Just because you have insurance doesn't mean I have to fix your car." Really? 22 years and I don't abuse my insurance and I'm treated like this? The only other claim I filed was when there was a break in in my home and once again, they accused me of lying, and continued to send letters (after they paid only 30% of the total amount stolen) stating that if the items "magically appeared" to please let them know. So that is two claims and the treatment is horrible for both of them.
If you don't want to fix an old car, then don't have insurance for it, but don't treat me this way. Then to top it off, while trying to figure out the rental car, the right hand doesn't have a clue what the left hand is doing and I get charged all sorts of extra fees. Oh, they say they'll take care of it, but they don't. Good hands? More like give them a hand out for nothing and watch my money disappear. Allstate is the worst. The agent wrote the policy wrong for my car insurance without my knowledge and I found out the hard when one day a transaction was more than I pay a month. When I called he quit so another agent took over. Everything got worse and downhill from there. So he gave me the quote since I have the house insurance too so there was a good discount then he asked for a letter of experience from my husband but I had cancel my other car insurance already since the agent told me to since this will be what I'm paying, so knew that letter of experience is needed and I never was put through the system and I didn't you have to have a 2-3 year mark having car insurance.
The agents know but tell you that info after going around in circles fixing my policy and quote which was able to be done. It took almost 2 months and corporate denied it because of how the agent wrote it. Why do I have to pay for their mistakes, he shouldn't have told to cancel my insurance until he verify everything first, Allstate took back all the discounts and backdated them since I had my insurance with them. Does that make any sense. They want $3600, I was like "No!" why do I have to pay for their mistakes. They a computer that has all my info of how long I drove and when I had any accidents. That have it all in their system.
I don't know all the policy and info. They should tell me. Why hide info when they know it. Not only that my bank account all got denied by them that they won't pay the rest of my overdraft fees that they took out without my consent and knowledge not explaining why and what happened. It was 3 weeks when I noticed the overdraft fees was due to them. When I cancel my auto insurance with them I have to pay the mistake fees making a loss of $650. They have always worked to get me the best coverage at an affordable price and the few claims that I have had in the past were quickly settled. The only complaint I have is what everyone thinks is that auto insurance today way out of hand.

I just got off the phone with Wanda, an Allstate Insurance representative and I could not believe how rude she was. She told me Allstate would not insure me on the vehicle I have been driving for nearly ten years, because the car's title is in my mother's name. She insisted that in the state of California I could not be insured on a car I do not own. She was terribly rude when informing me of this false information. I have been insured through many insurance companies, and NEVER have they told me I couldn't have an insurance policy on a car I drove.
The car was purchased by me in my mother's name, and I have never been told by any insurance company that I couldn't be insured prior to this incident. I was very nice to this woman and explained that to her and she insisted I was wrong. What a way to handle a possible client. I WILL NEVER USE ALLSTATE FOR ANY OF THEIR POLICIES, nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. This was just terribly unprofessional, and so misinformed. Then again look at their ratings, suddenly it all makes sense.

I've been with Allstate since 1972, the cost is completely fair, and I looked into other companies and none could provide the coverage I have at lower costs. When I first married in 1979 I was concerned about the coverage because my wife had a seizure disorder, and before getting married her insurance company dropped her because someone backed into her car in her apartments parking lot. I called my Allstate agent, informed him of the situation and he politely informed me that there would be NO increase of the cost of the Insurance. I spoke to other insurance companies and each one of them had a special higher rate because of her situation. After all these years Allstate has not increased the cost of my policy even when they added features to it. When I filed a claim over 25 years ago, Allstate responded and completed it within 10 days of the report.

I was in an accident with a person that had ALLSTATE INS. He was at fault. Dealing with them has been a nightmare the entire time. They have done things that were threatening to me, like telling me that I had to repair my car with the insurance check or they would give me less. (Joe **) Allstate. Then as I was trying to manage my medical injuries, preparing to have surgery, I received a call from (Steve **) Allstate. A day before my surgery was to happen telling me that I better check my own car insurance allowance because his client doesn't have much insurance. Making me think that they might not pay for my medical bills.
Then in order to protect my job and not have to ask off for a second surgery, I went through other options of treating for a injury that now they say they won't pay for because I didn't get the second surgery sooner. My worry was that I would lose my job if I had to take off for another surgery. As it is I am unable to work the hours that I was working before the accident due to the pain that I am still facing. I thought waiting to get the second surgery was also a way to save Allstate money because if wearing a boot and getting therapy would help the injury that's what I wanted to do.
So now they are not paying for that surgery that I needed in the beginning because I waited. They are forcing me to get an attorney over a few thousand dollars when in the end it will cost them so much more and probably, even their insured. So really you are never in Good Hands with ALLSTATE no matter whether you are one of their insured or if you are filing a claim they are responsible for.

I did not have many claims, but the few I had were always handled quickly, and I was able to get a rental car for free if I needed it. Not sure if it's okay to say names on here, but Gustavo ** was the claims adjuster that I had to deal with when one of Allstate's customers hit into me in a wreck. At first, it seemed like maybe he was just busy and not able to answer my calls when I needed to figure it all out, which was fine. Then it started to get fishy when I repeatedly called him every single day for a week and he never answered. He would call me back, but only if I left a detailed message about my contact information, but if I didn't answer he wouldn't even leave a message explaining what was happening, and I usually couldn't answer his calls because he would call me when I was at work.
Finally we got on the phone together, and he told me that everything would be settled within the next couple days. This was a complete lie, and I ended up playing phone tag for another few days until I decided to just call the Allstate general number. I then figured out that we weren't even close to getting it settled, and Gustavo had absolutely no idea what he was talking about because we needed to take multiple steps, and the lady that was walking me through this was terribly rude to me and talking condescendingly to me the entire conversation. She then proceeded to tell me that we would have it figured out by the weekend because I informed her we needed to have this done because it was ridiculous that it was taking two weeks to settle it.
Both she and Gustavo ignored my calls for ANOTHER WEEK (THIS IS TWO ENTIRE WEEKS THIS WAS GOING ON ALREADY), so then we were forced to call the "emergency claims department", and they figured everything out within a ten minute conversation on the phone. Terrible representatives, unless of course you call the emergency claims department, which I should've done from the very beginning to get it all figured out. Oh and Gustavo called me again for the first time in a week AFTER everything was settled, but I didn't want to talk to him so I did what he had been doing to me for three weeks: ignore him like he wasn't worth my time at the moment. I NEVER write reviews for anything, but this really made me angry. Allstate either needs to hire better reps or just cease to be an insurance company because they are liars and snakes.

Customer service is not the issue. Everyone you speak to or interact with is very helpful and polite. This has only to do with the company itself. This company is a good go to when you are researching to change companies. More than likely, they will indeed save you some money from what you currently pay because you are a new client and they are trying to suck you in. I think the insurance companies should reward good drivers by providing lower rates but that does not seem to be the case.
Also, as with everything else in life insurance rates continually go up at the whim of the powers that be at Allstate. However, whenever I get a bee in my bonnet about an increase of $2+ dollars/month and check out other carriers, Allstate still is the best price by a long shot. My premiums consistently go up approx. $2/mo every six (6) months and eventually I will have to drop some coverages in order to stay within budget. When I returned the car on 04/26/17 the manager at the location on White Bluff Rd Savannah GA 31419 said he could not close the contract out because my insurance company Allstate has only paid up until 04/04/2017.
I advised the manager that I had never been contacted by them or my insurance company which led me to assume that the rental was still covered because my car was at the repair shop. They have charged my debit card on file $429.00 total and said I still owe them $154.62. The insurance case manager over my claim still to this day does not know where my car was repaired and did not try to speak with anyone there or anything. She said they tried contacting me by phone and I never responded.
