I had Allstate for both auto and home for 3 months. They without notice tripled my auto insurance and told me because they needed 15 years prior auto insurance, they had the past year with previous carrier. The agent I talked to had the I don't care attitude. The agent that originally was "my agent" was never available, never returned calls or emails. The agent that I ended up talking to was very arrogant and could have cared less that I was a customer. I cancelled both policies and went with a much better company. I was told I would still have to pay the balance of the auto, after cancelling. This company is horrific. No care to the customers and only want the money. Stay away from Allstate. They will screw you over in a heartbeat. If I could give no stars I would.

I was involved in a collision with an Allstate customer almost a month ago. The other driver was cited by the police for the accident as well as it was recorded on street cameras. Yesterday I was finally able to get my car into the Collision Center to be repaired because this entire time they said they could not establish fault with the accident until they got a statement from the other driver and had been unable to do so. I was assigned an adjuster by the name of Ed ** whom I got a voicemail from two days after the accident with just his contact information that is it that is the only time I have ever heard from this adjuster in the almost 30 days since the accident he has never returned a single phone call or email.

After a little over 2 weeks and me finally calling the corporate 1-800 claims phone number I was able to find out that yes fault was established days before and I was good to get my car taken care of now I never would have known had I not repeatedly been calling the 1-800 number because again my adjuster absolutely ghosted me this entire process. I've had to call the 1-800 number repeatedly to get anything done. I made my own appointment with the shop for the repairs.

When I went to get my rental that I had previously been assured would be taken care of by Mr ** they would reach out to him personally and make sure it was handled there was no reservation. Their car rental place said they had never heard from Allstate and did not have a car available at that time. I would have to go to another city to get a car that's available that is still smaller than the vehicle that was damaged but is more than Allstate will even pay to cover and I'm already out of pocket in advance because they only reimburse you for the car rental. They don't cover the costs outright.

I received my follow-up estimate from the Collision Center and it was more than double my initial Allstate estimate that I was given so I called today again the 1-800 number because the four phone calls I've placed to Mr ** in the past 24 hours about what to do have not been returned I am spoken to rudely I am interrupted the entire time couldn't even speak what the problem was and was completely blown off. I have been in previous auto accidents before and I have never dealt with this level of poor customer service lack of communication and just overall poor business practices. Would never recommend this insurance. I'm so thankful that I am not a customer and would advise against anybody considering choosing them for coverage.

I have all records and email conversation which is they are not accepting and arguing unnecessary. The lady name Sonia and Mona both are not professional way to talk. Best thing they advise me go to the other company with very hard way. I am surprised they deal with old customer like that. If your customer service reply to customers like that then your business should be going down…Very horrible both ladies (work at Mississauga location). After that connect with Milton location and the lady Sonam gave me good advice and dealt with professional way…

My car was t-boned by a driver covered by Allstate Auto Insurance. My insurance spoke with witnesses who were there and quickly determined that the other driver was at fault, sped to run a red light, and hit my car. Allstate denied our claim without speaking with the witness. When I begged them to call the witness, they finally relented but said it wouldn't matter, and then refused to listen to what the witness had to say. I will NEVER use Allstate and strongly suggest avoiding them at all costs. This is insurance fraud.

Allstate is the worst company for paying claims as we had a tornado come thru Panama City Beach on January 9, 2024, we had 2 vehicles that were insured with full coverage with Allstate. My range range was totaled. My adjuster Nikki ** was nothing short of a joke and tried to lowball my vehicle, I told Nikki that I could not replace my vehicle for what they were willing to pay me, Nikki Jones them told me to get 3 vehicle for sale and sent me the ad. I sent her the 3 vehicles and again she did nothing. She then went on vacation and I was given another adjuster out of Texas this time, He stated that Nikki missed several items on my vehicle and raised the price by $3600.00, again another lowball offer. So then I had to invoke my appraisal rights and pay again more money as Allstate doesn’t care about any insured’s. The appraisal came back at $31,995, Allstate was trying to settle for $23,250. So now I get to pay again for my appraisal company to fight to get me the money from the amount of the appraisal at $31,995.00.

Now Allstate gets an appraisal done and they determine a set price, and then I get to again pay out more money because of Allstate not wanting to pay a fair dollar amount for my totaled vehicle. Now I get to pay again more money out for mediation because of Allstate nothing wanting to pay a fair dollar amount. After being an insurance adjuster for the last 35 years, I have never heard one good word about Allstate when you need them, they are the worst insurance company when it comes to paying to repair your vehicle. My Lexus IS still in their preferred vendor shop of Gerber Collision in Panama City Beach, they seem to be the only people that are willing to help in getting anything completed in a timely matter. Because every Allstate person that I have talked with us a joke. After having 14 rental properties and 5 vehicle with Allstate, after all of this is settled we will be leaving Allstate, as they are the worst insurance company to pay any bills at are.

I have had Allstate in Los Angeles CA for a few years and after my Mom got sick, I had to move back in with her, my policy went up. After her transition to heaven, I had to move several times, my policy continue to go up. I had one small claim for a rock that hit my windshield, they covered it, but my policy went up again. I couldn't afford to keep the policy. I tried to get it lowered in Jan. 2024, they said a new law hit California and all vehicle insurances are going up. When the policy went up in February 2024, I decided to shop around and found another insurance $117 less. I turned off the auto draft, someone turned it back on and drafted the policy before I canceled it. The very next day, I called them back to cancel the policy after the draft and ask for the payment to be reversed and they are taking 10 days to restore my money back to my account, which is in overdraft. Foolishness. I don't recommend them, if you do, don't move and and file a claim. P. **, Sylmar

Wish I had the option of giving no stars. I've been with them for about 30+ years, but for the last couple of years, customer service has been removing vehicles from my policy without consent and replacing them with vehicles I no longer own. Because of this situation, my license got suspended, apparently, because I had no insurance for 8 months on a car I had been driving and paying for insurance once I sold the car and turned in the plates. The DMV said that since I had not returned the plates for a car I was paying insurance for, my license had to be suspended for 90 days. Then, last month January 2024, they replaced a current car with a car I didn't own anymore as of last year 2023. They had to reinstate the car and backdate it to the date I originally added it to my policy. Now, I'm being charged close to $700 for the process of reinstating the car and backdating it to the original date.

I spoke to Tricia, apparently from corporate, and she said that even though the error was because of Allstate, I still had to pay for something Allstate did; that's how the system works, as she said. I am currently looking for another auto insurance company after 30 years, one that doesn't scam people and commit fraud on your policy by removing and adding vehicles without consent. I definitely do not recommend this auto insurance company at all. I'll pay the $700 but have already filed a complaint and am looking for a lawyer for my refund and emotional distress. This is the worst insurance for your car. Do not, under any circumstances, get this auto insurance.

I have been with Allstate for years now. On my primary car, I always carried full coverage, which included rental coverage and car replacement – the works. Well, my car was totaled back in 2022, and that claims experience was great. When I got my new car to replace the totaled one, I was at the dealership all day, and by the time I was ready, my agency had closed, so they directed me to Customer Service to add the vehicle. I asked the representative to mirror the exact coverage from my totaled vehicle. Due to a divorce, this vehicle had to be registered under my father's name, who is elderly. Unfortunately, the representative mirrored all my coverage except for the rental.

After another accident without rental coverage, I ended up having to pay $500 per week. The agency tells me that because my elderly father signed the application, there is nothing they can do. First, you would think they at least would go back and listen to the call of what was requested. I pay my premium in full every six months, and mind you, it was only a $36.00 difference monthly for the rental coverage. So, it seems they'd rather lose a customer than add the coverage, especially when it makes sense. If I could rate a zero, I would!

Allstate has been the worst company for insurance. I got two accidents unfortunately blaming me at fault because GA is a one person at fault state, even if the person drives off causing you to be in an accident or in an accident I was blamed because I didn’t remember the whole story from hiding my head from the steering wheel and airbags.

I found out on the policy there was a $200 add on the first car of the policy. I called the agency to find out to see why this car was more than my new car. They explained it's a fee they add on to the first car of the policy. I asked what kind of fee because this car is old than mine. They explained it is a rated fee, and it is not even broken down on the policy to show what I am paying for. So I asked, it’s like buying an insurance to have your insurance? They couldn’t agree nor deny.

I filed a formal BBB complaint about this and a Allstate agent Nicole contact me and explained I was not even allowed to know about the rated fee as it a priority information and the agent who gave the information will be spoken well. I mentioned why is this information not spoken with customers if they are paying about it? They have the right to know. She said no it priority information and is not to be discussed with customers.

I then spoke a David at the call center and spoke with him my concerns and he said I could take a 6 hour driver defensive course for 10% off my policy in GA. So I spent $19.95. So after I completed it the course I called to email the certificate and got the email. I contacted Nicole about my car not being fixed correctly because of the car alerts coming on and steering wheel tilted. I mentioned to her about the certificate of the course and she said it doesn’t work for a discount because of the claims, it has be over 36 months and not sure why they told you to take this course and emailed the course. She then took the information for a formal complaint for misleading information.

No matter what I put here they’ll just lie in responses. So let me just cover this like a blanket statement. Allstste does not care about you the policy holder. The president of the corporation point blank stated that he is only concerned about the shareholders, not the policy holders. You know the policy holders are where the funding come from for the shareholders to accumulate. Your policy holder bill of rights will be ignored. Though you will ask for any form of document that you're legally able to see and you will not get it. They ignore the calls, esp when they are shafting you. They really get silly with their way of professionalism. Loyalty is no part of this company. Trust me. My policy is 40+ years old. They are greedy undercutting agents.

They do not physically look at your car in person, they only do adjustments via pics, in turn they don’t get full evaluation of your damage and they proceed to orchestrate a repair plan they don’t even know the extent of damage. They will proceed to put $20k into something they previously totaled. And then totaled it again. They delete documents on their website when they want to hide them from anyone to protect them legally. They will stop at nothing to do you wrong and lie about the doing so. Think twice before you look for good hands. Because it isn’t anywhere near this provider.

After calling and being transferred twice, along with answering the same questions over and over again told me the quote would now be the total amount of the policy they sent me up front, and then 200% larger payments than they had provided. No information changed. The lady was also about as rude as they come. Policy searchers beware.

Allstate is very nice, attentive, professional, and always reachable as long as there is no issue. My car was stolen on May 4th, 2023 from my house. It was my first car (am in my 20s). I still owe money to the bank ($4k). I was devastated and so I reported my car as stolen to my local police department and to Allstate. As soon as I did this Allstate started acting hostile towards me. They made me feel like I was at fault and even claimed that because I was young I might as well told someone to steal it so I could get paid. I felt discriminated because not only do I pay far more than my parents for full cover because I am in my 20s (Never gotten any type of tickets nor been involved in any car accident. My history is clean.) but they were rude and unprofessional.

It's almost July, 2023 and my claim is still not resolved. The guy in charge called ADAM ** has been rude and very unprofessional. My car is worth $22k and was to be paid yet my car was found across the border. I was happy so it was recovered and was going to be repaired, but after seen the damages on my car I don't understand why it wasn't seen as a total loss. The car was completely wrecked. Allstate still said the car was to be repaired and the car was in "good condition". What made me enraged was Allstate wanted to repair the car with secondhand pieces from junkyards when my car is a new car and I am not paying over $300 just to get secondhand pieces to be installed in a car worth $22k.

All this time it has strangely been difficult to even speak to them when before anything happened they were always reachable and this Adam guy yelled at me saying my car was worth $22k as it was a 2019 car that only has $18k miles and in excellent condition but if it was up to him he wouldn't give me anything as he thought I wasn't even worth his time nor the money. I suffer from anxiety, panic attacks and am claustrophobic and thanks to Allstate I was rushed to the emergency room after suffering a major anxiety and panic attack because of the way I was treated and how Allstate didn't even bother to take care of my claim.

If you don't have Allstate then please don't think about moving to Allstate. It's really the worst. My father had an accident a few years ago and his car was a total loss and Allstate took 6 months to actually declare it a total loss and another 2 months to actually pay him because Allstate claimed my father was at fault when my father was hit from the back by another car and because that driver was going over 30 mph from the limit my father's car ended up colliding with the car in front of his him at a red stoplight. How is this his fault??

So I was hit at a 4way intersection by an Allstate client. Which the allstate client agreed to take a video and admit that he was at fault. So I went to file a claim and they gave me the runaround. When I told them that I needed a rental car the claims adjuster that handles my claim never picked up and answered the phone. All my calls went straight to voicemail. Then when I talked to the claims department telling them my claims adjuster isn’t answering and I need a rental car, they told me that I would need to talk to the claims adjuster that handles my case. When I told them that all my calls go straight to voicemail. They told me I would need to contact the adjuster that is handling my case.

After 3 weeks go by the adjuster finally calls me after I emailed her supervisor stating that I would get my lawyer. After me and the adjuster finished talking we came to a settlement agreement on the property damage and they told me that once they pick up my car they will send me my check. A week goes by. No check and no rental car and at this point they already took my totaled car. So I called them about the check I was supposed to receive and they told me that I need to talk to the representative that is handling my case, but when I talked to my claims adjuster, she told me that I need to talk to the totaled loss department. So I had enough.

I called back the adjuster and had her 3 way the call with the totaled loss department in which we found out that they are just delaying the process. It’s been a month and a week since the accident and I still didn’t receive my settlement. So now me and my lawyer will be taking them to court. With Allstate you are not in good hands. When you have problems with this company I recommend getting a good lawyer right away. They will scam you and will not try to pay you even if their party is at fault. Allstate is a scam.

This is a very abbreviated summary of my complaint. Allstate Claim # **. I was in an accident on November 30, 2022, and reported the accident to Allstate. My policy covered collision and towing was included with this coverage. I made numerous phone calls and sent emails over the following 7 weeks, asking Allstate to tow my car to a safe location (a service I paid for.) We agreed for them to pick up my car and tow it to a collision center in their network but a week later, they still had not towed my car. This happened on more than one occasion, and each time they failed to pick up my car. Then finally, I asked them to tow it to my dealership.

After a few days had passed, I checked my account on their website for the status of my claim and if they had towed my car. My account claims status read as follows: "Our adjuster is working with Howdy Honda to begin the inspection process." This led me to believe they had finally picked up the car and the claim was moving forward. Then, around January 14-15, 7 weeks into claim, I get a message from Allstate, stating that they "can't find my car and don't know where it is!" From what I understood, their adjuster went to the Honda dealership and discovered the car was not there. By now, it had been nearly 7 weeks that Allstate failed to pick up my car and move it to a safe location!. This is grossly negligent on the part of Allstate and my claims representative. On January 17th, my car was stolen and I do not have coverage for theft! Due to Allstate's delinquency in providing a service I paid for, I no longer have a car and I'm not covered for theft.

Allstate is a large, greedy, insurance company who uses ugly tactics to make it difficult to get paid for a claim. An Allstate driver hit my car from behind while I was stopped at a red light. There are no other tricky details. They weren’t paying attention and ran into the back of my vehicle. A day later, my insurance company (Erie) called me and said that a claim was made by Allstate stating that I caused an accident with one of their drivers. I called Allstate, and the lady was quite rude. She said she called Erie because she was unable to contact me. I later found one missed call with no voicemails, and it was only a few minutes before my insurance company received the call from her.

She told me I need to rent a car and pay for it myself, and then Allstate will reimburse me. This policy requires a large payment out of pocket for the victim. I paid $1,073.51 for the rental. I emailed the receipt to Allstate the day I returned the rental 3/29/2022. I have called over and over trying to get info regarding my claim. I have emailed probably 30 emails; each one had the claim number in the subject line and all required documents attached. I never got a response. I finally called to “request a quote for insurance”, and I got right through to a person who connected me to the claims department.

I explained my situation to the lady. She kept telling me she was transferring me to another department. I was asking her to transfer me to her manager. She hung up on me. I called the number for a quote again, and got transferred to another claims specialist. They said, they are waiting for my detailed rental receipt. I told him I had sent that receipt 20-30 times already. He told me, I need to send a fresh email with the claim number and the receipt. He said if I sent an email string or forwarded anything, it won’t go through. As of 12/29/22, I’m still waiting for my payment, but at least they acknowledged that they received the rental receipt. Allstate is total trash. They are the greedy type of corporation you read about screwing over the regular folks. Please consider going to other companies with your insurance needs.

Well, I spent another hour or so on the phone again today with Allstate. My accident happened on August 30th and I was on the ball with reporting it right off to my insurance and the other driver's insurance, who has Allstate. Today is September 13th. My car is still sitting in my yard wrecked. Even though they have access to the police report from that day now, they STILL are looking for a statement from the other driver, whom they haven't been able to reach for 2 weeks. I was told I get to wait another week before I can even get a rental car... so 3 weeks with no car. Awesome. They have to validate "liability". It's Allstate's "policy" that they need both driver's statements, even though the police report clearly states she hit me when I was at a stop sign motionless... I guess if you're not the policyholder, they don't care.

I don't even know what a rental car costs upfront these days but I was first told I had to pay my insurance deductible (through my insurance, though I'm not at fault) and pay for a rental upfront before I'd get reimbursed for anything... so around 1500 or more? Not many people have that kind of cash upfront. I've got two kids and rent to pay, and I'm down a car right now.

If you have Allstate, you are NOT in good hands. I have never experienced such poor customer service experience in my entire life. I was lied to by several insurance adjusters, was given false hope and was told this would be resolved fairly quickly. "After four aggressive attempts we will move forward with your claim, regardless", is what I was told. I was also not aware they didn't have access to the police report right off.

Instead, my phone calls were dodged for a whole week and when the insurance adjuster finally contacted me after my several complaints were made, she claimed she "didn't lie to me, she just wasn't knowledgeable". I've asked to have someone else handle the claim multiple times... After doing ALL the research myself, contacting NC highway patrol, contacting and giving statements to both mine and the other party's insurance companies, filing several complaints, and obtaining and forwarding the physical copy of the police report that took almost 2 weeks for ME to obtain, I am STILL waiting on a resolution. No rental car and my car is still wrecked in my yard.

Wasn’t till I got and statement in the mail that I was notified that my coverage was dropped did I actually get information on where I could go for coverage. Had I known it was going to be all of this I would have bundled with Geico. However even though she couldn’t help too much due to the restrictions New York State has Nakima did he best to help fix the issue with finding me some other options that may not be super close but could get me in sooner so I can restore my coverage. I started my insurance policy with Allstate Insurance in NC because they gave me a cheaper rate than Progressive. My payments started around $170 per month my first six months. The next six months went up to around $200 per month. Then the payment went up to $236 per month, so I called the Allstate office in NC, I spoke with a guy since my representative wasn't available and asked him why does my policy amount keep going up, I didn't have tickets or anything on my licenses. He had the NERVE to say "INFLATION WENT UP". I have never heard anything like that from any insurance company I have ever dealt with. I let him know I would be seeking a new company since they increase payments from inflation, which seem as if they operate like a gas station, or grocery store.

I got a new policy with USAA for $69.00 per month for both my cars, then called and canceled with Allstate. They said nothing about any charge if I canceled because it had only been 1 week since I had paid the $236.00. Then they send a letter saying I owe them $180.00. I called and told them to take if out of the $236.00 I had just paid and canceled after 1 week.

So to say, if your insurance is going up because of "Inflation" you need to find another company because it looks like they will tell you anything. Then they put the $180 on my credit which is absolutely wrong when they got paid for insurance that was only used for 1 week after payment. I would never recommend them to anyone. I guess that's why they have such a bad reputation. They also bought out Esurance, ""PLEASE WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT USE ESURANCE EITHER BECAUSE THEY ARE A RIP OFF AS WELL. LOOK AT THEIR REVIEWS FIRST."" THIS IS A SERIOUS WARNING.

I filed an auto claim with Allstate, my insurance carrier for several years, regarding a car incident involving my son who was covered under my insurance. There was a person claiming to be hurt and they sued my son and me. After several weeks, Allstate determined they would hire legal counsel to represent me, that I was covered at the time of the incident, and I met all the criteria to qualify for coverage. They retained an attorney for me and that attorney represented me for about two years until Allstate decided they no longer wanted to represent me, so they filed a lawsuit against me, suing me, so they could get out of their responsibility after they had made the careful determination to represent me.

I now have had to retain counsel to protect myself against Allstate who is suing me and wants me to pay for their attorney fees. I never knew an insurance company could be this vile and back out of paying for coverage they agreed to, and then turn around and sue me to not only get out of it, but then demand that I pay for the attorneys they decided to hire. Unbelievable. They have literally cost me thousands of dollars to pay for an attorney based on their decision-making.

Facing Allstates policy of “no third party involvement” precluded my own insurance from assisting and I had to face Allstate myself. Repair of my vehicle was easily assigned to a body shop but obtaining a rental car and getting reimbursed (which is unexpected) was intentionally made difficult. Several phone calls including the rental car location directly speaking to Allstate were needed to convince representatives to take responsibility for the claim. The “Rental Vehicle Guidelines” I received were useless when intending to rent a car for the rate that Allstate asserts is coordinated with rental car businesses. The effort to deceive customers with hopes to save money is VERY DISAPPOINTING to say the least.

I acquired a Mileswise policy in 9/21/2021. It was set to renew on 3/21/2022. I was contact at 9:05am by an Allstate rep concerning renewal. She asked why I did not receive renewal Docs and cards. I answered that I did not know why and that I had not received anything in the mail due to the fact I was enrolled in Mileswise program. She had me call a Milewise Rep for Allstate. At which time I was connected with Ms. ** in North Carolina. She stated that I needed to pay $174 for my renewal docs to auto populate in the apps so that the dates on the cards would be update. I gave her my card info and asked to make sure, and she checked with a supervisor. She said that it should update within 48 hours at the latest.

As I am now driving on expired documents. 2 days went pass and the docs never changed and I still had expired docs in the app and nothing ever came in the mail. I called back and made an escalated complaint upon finding out that the was a $300 unpaid overage on my milewise account. My escalation was handled by a Chris ** at their Corporate office who only conveyed the recycled statement of a $300 unpaid balance which was not seen until after I paid $174. I told Mr. ** that I no longer wanted to do business with allstate. I was then told by another rep that the policy would cancel if I did not make payment by the 5th. I did not and proceeded to other insurance. I explained that it is seriously dangerous for me as an African American male to ride with expired documents as this would only cause problems. Especially when I have paid what they asked for renewal.

After getting new insurance I called on the 9th to tell them that I am canceling because I have a new policey, a gentlemen told me on 4/9/2022 that I was due a refund because I had paid that $174 as a "renewal" and now I am canceling the policy. I apprised him of the entire situation and he was sure of the refund. I did have to call again as he placed the points of our conversation in notes.

A LaDonna called me today to state that I was not entitled to a refund. I stated that requested was not manufactured by me. The gentlemen state that I was entitled to the refund. She said that my Policy was reinstated on the 12th due to my payment on March 21st. I explained not insurance company should allow a customer to ride on expired documentation if he has done as instructed. Plainly Allstate's actions were negligent and oblivious to the fact that I rode on expired docs and this was unfair and dangerous to me as a consumer. I would not recommend and further action is forthcoming.

Allstate requested a new estimate from workshop, I have been there for three weeks and the adjuster has not wanted to evaluate so as not to pay, but if one is days late if they are calling you to threaten you with the DMV to suspend the insurance, you think it is fair that Allstate be paid every month now at the time of an accident Allstate washes its hands notifying that the damage of the accident has not been evaluated when they already have all the estimated prices, I have been with Allstate for 10 years and I already realized that Allstate does not work. - Allstate customer from 1994 to 2005. - Full coverage. - We were stopped at a red light. - No sound, no warning -- an uninsured driver fell asleep on his way home from work, foot pressed on gas pedal, rear-ended us at minimum 65MPH. - Impact thrust our car 50 feet forward. If there were any traffic in the intersection at that moment, we would have been car-ponged and killed for sure. - My head whiplashed against the head rest so hard that it broke out and fell behind the seat. I blacked out from the concussion. My wife's whiplash was almost as bad. It's an absolutely miracle that our toddler was unharmed (save for seatbelt-burns). Thank God we only had 1 child at the time, because with the position we were hit, the other child would have been killed instantly.

    - The car was so completely totaled, the only salvage-able part was the hood over the engine. Every single other part was impact-rippled and damaged, including the roof and front fenders of the car. - During the initial 90 days after the accident, we knew exactly what life felt like for arthritis-plagued 80+ year olds. We understood what the term "dull, sapping, ever-present pain" truly means. - MRIs show that I now have 2 herniated discs in my neck. My wife has 1.

    - Allstate refused to respond to our claim for exactly 1 year (somehow, by law, insurance companies are allowed 365 days before they must respond) -- they responded literally hours before the deadline. - Allstate had dozens of photos of the car, had the full report of the scene of the accident, had our MRIs and chiropractor report... and their response to our claim was: "We are not convinced that your injuries were caused by this accident. We are refusing your claim."

    - I could give details of the next 2 years of taking legal action against Allstate -- but the best way to summarize it would be: Instead of just paying us our insured amount (less than six figures), Allstate spent at least 3 times that amount (close to a quarter-million) in lawyer and research (dirt-digging) expenses. It's not an exaggeration to say that they went after us like an over-zealous prosecuting attorney determined to pin a manslaughter charge on a jaywalker.

    - In the end? I lost my business, I had to find employment (despite my condition) that couldn't cover our bills, we lost our home... we lost everything. We had to move in with relatives, pennyless, and had to start all over. - And I still suffer from 2 herniated discs in my neck and occasional severe migraines that are triggered when I am not careful in how I position my neck, and how I position my head when I sleep.

It is said that the lowest levels of Hell are reserved for "betrayers." However, there must be level lower than that, because there is a class of inhumans that the English language has no vocabulary for that can only be described as "beyond betrayers." BEWARE of this company!! I will explain the details of their nefarious mode of operation, so no one else falls in the same trap.

    1. DO NOT TRY TO GET A QUOTE FROM THEM.

I went online, filled in my biodata, bank details, credit card number etc. and they gave me a quote of $79 every month. I cancelled my current Nationwide insurance of $96 every month (Now I know that was a stupid thing to do) immediately because they tried to increase my rate + $50 ($148 monthly). Keep in mind that I have a clean driving record with no claims or tickets whatsoever. However, when I tried to make the payment due with Allstate, I kept getting an error message saying, "We are having technical issues with our website right now, please contact a customer care on 800.....". I tried paying several times but to no avail.

I eventually did call an insurance agent with Allstate and they told me I was going to pay $111 dollars per month. I was furious and asked them why it changed, all they could tell me was that the online platform is not accurate, and only gives a quick quote. I explained to them that there's no such thing as a quick quote, there's only A QUOTE or an ESTIMATE! Apparently, the technical difficulty message on their website is a deliberate act to prevent people from accessing the quote agreed on, and to force unsuspecting customers to call insurance agents who will then increase the previously agreed premiums.

    2. I filled in my biodata, bank details, and credit card details on their website. The only reason I put those details on there was because it was their payment page, and I was about to make payments. Now they have access to all my data, they also defaulted on an agreement (quote) that we had, leaving me stranded and desperate to go for the next available fraudulent financial institution.

Isn't it ridiculous that these agencies can decide to increase one's insurance premiums on the mere basis of relocation to another state despite having an excellent driving record? In summary, NEVER FILL IN YOUR DETAILS IN ALLSTATE WEBSITE WHILE GETTING A SEEMINGLY GOOD QUOTE. More than likely, it is a false advertising bait used to attract unsuspecting victims (like me). Customer care representatives are well-trained liars. AVOID AT ALL COST!

My dad has been using All-state since the 1980's when he purchased homes in Utah. And has all his vehicles covered by them. And after all the years he's been a loyal customer. They made a mistake on his auto policy. Back in March, he called allstate to ask them to remove his dodge caravan from the policy because it had engine problems. And he also asked them that same day to insure the Ford Freestar, which was in storage with comprehensive coverage, he requested them to bring it out from storage status and insure it with liability coverage to use as his replacement primary vehicle.

Unfortunately I borrowed my dad's van a few months later and had an accident. And to both our surprise and disappointment we found out allstate failed to update my dad's auto policy to liability insurance, and it was still listed as comprehensive insurance. And the allstate agent refused to cover the van for the accident. And because of allstate's mistake, I was charged with driving without insurance.

As if this wasn't bad enough for both my dad and I, it got even worse. A few weeks after my dad attempted to file a claim for the Ford Freestar and was rejected by the allstate agent. The Utah DMV license division sent me a letter saying their records show the Ford Freestar was driven without insurance and was in an accident, and they warned me not to drive because my license was suspended indefinitely. And when I went to the DMV license division to get more details about the reasons why my license was suspended. The DMV agent told me it was our insurance company (allstate) that actually contacted the DMV to report the car was driven without insurance and had been in an accident. When I searched online, this is not normal procedure for most insurance companies to do such a thing. As soon as we find another insurance company, allstate can go to hell! They are dishonest, and despicable people working for allstate.

I'm a physician, and during the pandemic I sold my house (also Allstate policy - so they knew I sold it) and took a job with the Military. So, relocating physician during the pandemic, working for the Military. I sold my house in April and was moving. I made a car payment also in April, but made the next payment in July since I had my mail on hold trying to find a house to buy (none in Syracuse unless you had loads of cash). Allstate CANCELED my policy in JUNE with my last payment in APRIL, after 23 years. AND THEY WOULD NOT REINSTATE IT, and this office RETURNED MY PAYMENT from July (which I have yet to receive).

Geez, maybe they could have called? Or reinstated the policy? But NO, now I can't register my car, had to find an expensive emergency policy (with Progressive) while juggling being displaced, and working as a PHYSICIAN for the MILITARY IN A PANDEMIC. So ALLSTATE HAS NO LOYALTY TO YOU. Neither does this office (Adam Roux apparently was sold my policy at the Liverpool office - used to be Ciotti and then Sikora - who were better imho). Upon filing my auto claim, I was greeted with a claims agent that barely knew English. I had multiple claims agents hang up on me after I had only been on the line for five minutes, for no reason whatsoever. I had a claim agent lie to me about my police report being requested, when it never was, and I only found out two weeks later when I reached out to check on its progress. No one ever called to see how I was doing or to update me on the process. I had to set up my rental car through the body shop because AllState was too incompetent to set it up for me. I had to use AAA to help tow my car.

I had to reach out for every single question or concern I had, and it was often not AllState that responded and helped me. I would not recommend AllState Auto Insurance to anyone; they've been absolutely horrendous through every step of this accident process. I work for a well known law firm in the Midwest area. I have seen how Allstate's customer service it's been deteriorating reaching the lowest level over the last years. They take too long to even evaluate the damages of a vehicle to determine if is repairable or a total loss. This process would usually take just a few days while Allstate could easily take several weeks. If the vehicle is determined to be a total loss the process is even worse! They have a service number for the total loss cases and sadly the lack of basic insurance concepts on many of the representatives is impressive.

You call for status and often times you are not able to obtain any straight answer when you call. The adjusters cover for each other even known they are making mistakes. You can get an apology for the delay and admitting their mistakes and a week later receive a denial saying it was not their fault. They've turned into one of the worst companies to deal with. The unfairness handling claims, regardless if you are a claimant or their own insured, is unbelievable!

This is the worst insurance company I've ever dealt with. My car was hit April 18. They didn't respond to the auto repair center to BEGIN repairs until May 19. And then didn't send me the reimbursement check for my rental until June 21. That is entirely too long to take for any of those steps, and there was no communication, no explanation as to why it was taking so long. I would call, leave messages, and get nothing back. Because they were so tardy, I had to keep extending my rental contract out week after week until the bill totaled nearly $4000 (which I had to pay out of pocket because their company doesn't contract with rental agencies, instead they reimburse you which is foolish because not everyone has the necessary funds for costs like that up front) but then learned they were only going to pay a little over $1800, less than half of the reimbursement!

I tried to fight them but they kept saying no, they were not responsible. Their client hit me and they as an insurance company made a promise to cover the damages caused by their client. That's what an insurance company is supposed to do. I never would have had to spend that much if they hadn't dragged their feet. It's almost negligence at this point. To top it off, they sent the letter with the reimbursement check, but not the check itself. I had to call their corporate office to get it direct deposited to me.

    1. Incompetence
    2. Slow
    3. Poor communication
    4. No contracts for verification, just word of mouth
    5. Forced reimbursement policy

    6. Lack of full payment

And it wasn't even the fault of only one individual. The main agent I worked with took an extended amount of time off and forwarded all his calls to a different agent, who was also gone and forwarded all her calls to a different agent, whose voicemail said he was not taking any more calls. And the manager I spoke with was no help in resolving this. And then the person who forgot to put the check in the envelope. It's the whole company. The only reason I give them 2 stars instead of 0 is because my car actually got fixed. But this was a headache I would not wish on anyone.

About two years ago we had Allstate try to auto add someone to our automobile policy. This was someone we didn't even know, and despite whatever Texas database they pulled the information from this individual did not live with us. Allstate put the burden of proof and getting it so this person would not be added on us, which is ridiculous. The hoops we had to jump through were insane, and at a very difficult time for our family. It is bad, money grabbing corporate policies that were cited that were used to attempt to justify this. Who I have on my insurance and who I am paying for or not paying for is my business and my business alone, not Allstate's.

Now, today, I receive an email notification that Allstate was going to add my 16 year old child to my insurance. A child that has a learner's permit and not a actual provisional or regular license. I call up the number I was given and some dubious line that smacked of "corporate policy" and underwriters policy was fed to me. They claimed that in the state of Texas, after 6 months of having a Learner's License that Texas considered them licensed, which is utter nonsense. Not to mention the fact that this was suddenly dumped on us not six months later, but a couple months away from it being TWO YEARS since she got her Learner's License.

This on top of the fact that before she received her Learner's License I spoke to Allstate representatives on what their policy was and was assured that as long as she had a Learner's License and was not an actual Licensed Driver that she was covered under our policy and did not need to be added in full since she couldn't drive on her own. Furthermore, Allstate has not updated their position on this policy online and I therefore find it highly suspect that our agent's office is doing this at this moment.

If this is in fact not Allstate's position I would like to suggest they reign in their local agents because after these two issues, issues I have not had with any other insurance company we are now taking our business elsewhere. After having shopped around for additional quotes no other major insurance carrier that I spoke to has the requirement of fully adding our child, with her Learner's License to our insurance policy, and no misinformation concerning some fabricated "six month" limit. For the icing on the cake they could not forward any documentation to us concerning this supposed underwriting policy as it was something they didn't give out and was only for use "in house".

Again, if this is not actually Allstate's position I want to make this company aware that some of their agents are pushing these underhanded practices and "corporate policies", perhaps for a chance to increase premiums. Her full addition would have nearly doubled our auto insurance. If it was an attempted money grab it has most certainly backfired as we are now leaving Allstate, will never return to Allstate, and will warn our friends and family, especially those that are facing new learning drivers of our issues and problems with Allstate as a cautionary tale. We should have left with the first instance of over reach. I did not sign up to have a corporation dictate to me. Had the first not happened we would still be leaving because of the second instance. My word to any and all, when it comes to Allstate caveat emptor (buyer beware)!

My name is James ** and I am 67 years old. I have had car insurance since I’m 16 years old and my experience with Allstate is the worst that I have ever had...I gave them one star out of five only because the review would not proceed if I gave them zero stars.. My daughter's car was totaled November 20 and for two days I heard from the woman who was assigned to the claim Kimberly ** many times throughout the day and I returned each call and gave her all the information that was requested...since November 24 I have reached out to Miss ** no less than five times on five different days and she has yet to return one of my phone calls.

I reached out to her supervisor Kimberly **, who was unavailable..(as is understandable in that these people are out in the field looking at damaged cars most of the day )...and her voicemail was not accepting voicemails..When I talk to someone in Kimberly **‘s office they assured me that the claim was in the total loss department so I called the total loss department...which seems to be in India... and I was told that the claim was not there so I called back to Kimberly **'s office and I was again told the claim was in the total loss department.... After again contacting the total loss department I was told that the claim was not there and was never completed by Kimberly **...

All I know is I just received a call from a manager there named Dan I believe and he asked me to stop sending emails and text messages and he agreed that Allstate is totally backed up and is going through re-organization and coronavirus and I asked him whether those same excuses would be acceptable if I was late paying my premium and he said that he understands and he agrees with me...Everyone at Allstate understands and agrees with me and tells me that I am in good hands but I feel like I am in anything but good hands with Allstate and how dare they use excuses that they would not accept from any consumer, ever, but these same excuses are acceptable when they use them.

The problem is All state before investigating or finishing a accident where ever whoever's fault is it. Before they even fully investigate they raise premiums which is not legal. Also all state refused to Reconsider a incorrect and erroneous ticket which my wife had on record talking on the phone. I think it is great as I will be paying almost 300 dollars less than what I have with Geico even with their "15 % discount due to COVID'19".

Since it lapsed, they now want to charge 3 TIMES more! They say state law requires this, and they cannot fix the problem. So, no accident triggered the increase, rather, it was purely triggered by their implication that I had coverage, and then their failure to let me know that it lapsed. This problem even affects my coverage with another company... so even leaving Allstate will not give me a better rate. Though, of course, I am not so foolish as to stay with them.

We have been with Allstate for about 12 years, never filed a claim. A week and a half ago I was rear ended at a stop light. We’ve had nothing but problems and it wasn’t even my fault. They never sent anyone out to look at my car to assess anything. They did call and ask us if it was totaled. When we told them that we didn’t know they had it towed to a garage. That was about a week ago. They never called to give us any information. We’ve had to call them many times and today, finally, we got to talk to someone. When we asked what was going on the guy said "Oh yeah, they’re going to fix it and not total it. They should start work on it some time next week." None of this was my fault, now I’m left with no car for probably two more weeks at least and they wouldn’t even try to get a rental through the other driver's insurance. The other driver admitted that it was her fault, but still they are doing nothing.

Oh and it took us 2 days to file the claim, they called a few times asking the same questions because there was a glitch in their system. Also, the guy that towed it originally said the car was totaled, the one tire was almost completely broken off and the whole back right side is completely smashed in including the hatch door, We were told that their mechanic was going to replace the one part on the back and when we asked about the rest the guy said “Yeah I’m sure they’ll fix all of it.” He doesn’t even know and he’s the adjuster! I can’t wait to see what the repair looks like, I’m sure it’s going to be the bare minimum. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my car but I’m sure there will be now. I can’t wait to switch insurance companies.

I had Allstate Auto Insurance for 26 years. I bundled around 2002 with homeowners. In Pennsylvania, if you miss a payment, they send you a "cancellation" bill the next month. As long as you pay both months, you're still covered. I have ALWAYS paid every other month, never a problem, for 26 years. My 6 month policy was paid in full and ended July 19, 2020. My new 6 month policy is from July 19, 2020 until January 19, 2021. My new policy was $207.00 for 6 months. A rate I earned for being accident free for my entire 36 years if driving, 26 with this company. I received a bill saying 21.00 is due by July 19. Because I always pay the second month I paid no attention to it, no big deal.

I go on allstate website 7-28-20 and noticed my policy is cancelled. Hmm. I tried to pay because allstate gives you a 9 day grace period to pay, 7-28 is in that window. It wouldn't let me pay it, it was cancelled. I called several people in the middle of the night, nobody could help me, they weren't agents. Next day, I called my agent. He said, allstate has a new policy that started in April. Upon renewal, if no payment is received, you got cancelled. Also the grace period was changed from 9 days to 7 days. I received NO notification about this change. My agent said he tried to call everyone recently about the change, however, no written notification at all and he knew since April.

Agent says I can't get reinstated, I have to join basically as a risk at $869.00 for 6 months. $869.00 vs $207.00 which I earned. Today is 7-29-20. Only 10 days after a $21.00 payment was missed, not a cancellation payment and I don't have insurance. Thanks Allstate for doing this to a 26 year customer, with such impeccable timing during a pandemic. DIDNT GET THIS INSURANCE COMPANY. A report of Comprehensive damage was reported to Allstate in '16. I used a repair shop in the Allstate network for the repairs. Apparently Allstate warranties the work for the lifetime of the vehicle when you use their preferred repair shops. I didn't know this, until this year. Shortly after the work was done (months) I started to notice the paint was peeling above the wheel well on the bumper exposing the surface underneath. I immediately suspected a bad paint job as I've had plenty of experience w/ auto body work done on cars but had never seen the paint flake off like that. But I gave the benefit of the doubt to what is a *Recommended by Allstate* body shop.

By April of 2019 I could no longer put off that something was wrong. After parking in a downtown parking garage, I did my requisite 'check' to ensure I was parked correctly in order to avoid door dings. While doing so, I observed that I was touching a barrier situated at the lower front of my car which keeps customers from driving right over the ramp. Simultaneously I noticed that the paint was blistering on the upper portion of the bumper. I touched it and an entire area of paint collapsed beneath my finger. At that point there was no question I had a bad paint job. I was looking at an entire areas of shiny black surface.

Still not realizing there was any warranty on the repair, I contacted the Allstate agent to let him know what happened (barrier touch on lower right of bumper and paint cracked and fell off on upper right bumper upon me touching it) that I had reason to believe the Auto Body Shop had deliberately not applied primer to my bumper. The agent told me he would contact the body shop and get back to me. He never did. During the period between 4/2019 and 6/2020, I realized there was a problem with the paint on the hood. It looked like something had been applied to it that eventually ate away at the point. It didn't look recent at all, so I reasonably surmised it was associated w/the vandalism associated w/ the previous '16 claim. Upon reporting, I told the Allstate rep I wasn't sure of the date but believed it happened sometime between 2015 -2016 and corresponded w/ the previous vandalism caused by a neighbor.

Initially, in order to deny the claim, the Adjuster assigned stated that the damage which he believed to be the result of chipped paint was evident in pictures from the '16 claim. He continued to claim this during and after a video session w/ myself, him, and an auto body shop who was providing another assessment and estimate. The Adjuster was shown actually chipped paint on the hood and other parts of the car that looked nothing like the damage under consideration. The auto body shop told the Adjuster directly that the damage looked like something had been applied to the hood, not wearing of top coat from chipping as he was claiming.

Even with that direct professional assessment, the Adjuster continued to insist the damage to the hood was due to chipping. At this point I attempted to contact a supervisor. All I got was out of office messages. I called back when the supervisors were in office according to the Out of Office message and still got the same message. Finally, I reached a supervisor who picked up right where the Adjuster had left off. When she learned that the autobody shop told the Adjuster that the damage looked consistent w/ what I claimed, she then reversed the denial and told me it was being approved under a new claim dated 8/1/18.

When I tried to explain (for the umpteenth time) that the problem w/ the hood happened in the same instance as the damage to the bumper, and that the Adjuster claimed repeatedly to myself and the Auto Body shop that he could see damage to the hood in the photos associated w/the '16 claim, the supervisor just disregarded what he said and declared there was no evidence of damage in '16 (the time of the original vandalism claim) in order to fix the date of loss at 8/1/18 (Allstate's date) and declare it a new claim in order to sack me w/ a $250 deductible (more than 1/3 of the cost to fix it). I expressed to the supervisor that what she was saying doesn't fit the evidence, but she kept insisting on new damage in a 'take it or leave it' manner. Currently, Allstate is claiming I declined the offer. That never happened.

Next the supervisor told me that I would have to go back to the body shop that did the work so they could provide an estimate. I incredulously asked her what she thought they were going to say about their own faulty workmanship. I then asked why she was insisting I go there when I had already gone to another Allstate preferred shop, plus one of my choice for an estimate. The supervisor looked at the photos and said she could see that the biggest area of missing paint on the bumper was "shiny" indicating the lack of primer (as suggested by the independent body shop), and that she would talk to 'them' (presumably their preferred shop that did the faulty work) and get back to me.

After 24 hours of dead silence and realizing a long Holiday weekend (4th of July) was looming, I reached out to the supervisor and encountered her voicemail which said she would return calls by 3 PM that day. I never got a call. Instead, after 5 PM that day (July 2, 2020) I got an email in which Allstate disavowed every narrative up to that point (multiple narratives to fit their decision to deny the claim) to a brand new narrative which was constructed to explain away all evidence that pointed to the bad paint job (and ignored the assessment of the independent body shop); and instead claimed that all visible paint blistering and peeling was the result of collision. So, according to Allstate, in April 2019 I had a “collision” in a parking garage where there was apparently rain coming down. This “collision caused “bowing” which instantly caused blistering and peeling of the paint that cracked and fell off when I touched it.

Know your rights: Allstate insisted I take the car back to their preferred shop who caused the problem. After explaining in part why I didn't want to go back there, I agreed to take the car to another Allstate preferred shop, but saw similar ‘indicators’ to the original shop that made me concerned I might have a similar experience. It wasn't until after this that I finally figured out I had the right to select and get estimates from my own choice of shop. The short of it is, that these Allstate Reps worked diligently to make the evidence fit their conclusions in order to deny the warranty coverage. And never assume because a company has a recognizable industry name that they’re trustworthy and ethical.

Auto insurance is a package deal. It's not just the company alone that completes the package. I have always believed, price is not the only factor when choosing a insurance company. I was with Farmers for 19 years and always told my agent, "If it was not for you, I would dump Farmers." My agent was great, but the rates and customer service were terrible. I try to be loyal whenever I can. Well after my agent retired, I started shopping around and found an Allstate agent who introduced me to a whole new world in insurance needs. Not only were his rates better than Farmers, but after 6 years, my rates are still a lot less than my last Farmers rates. Allstate's customer service has been great, their products meet all my need requirements, and I love my agent. Trusting your insurance company should be a major deciding factor for everyone. This may not be the most comprehensive review of Allstate but, I figured I would share my experience in the off chance that this happens to someone else. I have a point on my driving record which in turn greatly affects my yearly premium. My current insurance policy was getting a bit out of control as they raised my rates during COVID 19. I was unable to keep up so I figured I'd shop around. Allstate seemed like a good fit so I signed with them yesterday. However, my old insurance agent (who is terrific by the way) called me in a panic. I want to note that she is the only reason I've stayed with my old insurance company for so long.

Anyway, she was incredibly concerned with the rate that Allstate quoted me. Allstate's way of getting around my "bad" driving record, was to put my Mother on the policy as a co-operator? I'm not sure if that is the correct wording but, it's something to that effect. To put it simply, her record is perfect and mine is considered less than. After speaking to my old agent, I felt uncomfortable and so did my Mother. I called the Allstate agent to cancel the policy as I had not yet been charged a single dime and the effective date to start the policy wasn't for another 2 weeks out. Sounds simple enough, right? WRONG.

The agent gave me the runaround, bashed, and insulted my old insurance agent, and even tried to get me to take my Mother off the policy and put someone else on. If my MOTHER is uncomfortable being on the policy, why on Earth would I put someone else on?? Long story short, he tried to threaten me with a "cancelation" fee which is complete and utter crap since the policy was still pending. No exact numbers were ever given as to how much this "fee" would cost so I knew it was ultimately a scare tactic. I must also note, my old insurance company would not cancel my policy unless I gave written consent. So to say that the ball was in my court was an understatement.

After an argument ensued (totally unprofessional Allstate) I called Corporate. Well, I got the same exact treatment with a bit more yelling involved. This person flat out told me, in a condescending tone, "Is he saving you money? If he's saving you money then I don't see what the problem is. Put someone else on the policy and take your Mom off." I'm sorry, WHAT? That's not the point. If I want to be taken off of a policy that hasn't even gone through yet, while this agent is threatening me with imaginary numbers, I HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO THAT.

It's clear that Allstate protects them and theirs only. They don't give a flying **** about you and yours. I have in writing my request to cancel this scam of a policy and will hear back in a few days, apparently. Word of advice to anyone shopping around for car insurance, if you have a point on your driving record, DO NOT SIGN WITH ALLSTATE. It's too good to be true. Learn from my mistakes and always read the fine print.

In Jan, the payment went through fine. In Feb the payment denied. In March the policy was canceled. I think I was signed up for paperless, so I didn't receive the usual mail. We now have a second, no-fault accident where we are made to pay a deductible and hope to get it back later. The first one was decided against us because the other driver simply asserted that they weren’t at fault. This time my son was literally stopped at a light and was rear-ended, and because the other driver said it wasn’t his fault, Allstate says that we have to cover the deductible in order to get our vehicle from the shop. There’s a police report and the other driver was driving dangerously. So good luck to all of you that stay with them; better save that money for your next deductible!

It is now March 2020 and this is my first time needing to use this protection since my purchased date in 2016, I called Allstate Car Care customer service to see the complete process of getting work completed for my interior and exterior. I spoke with one representative that stated all I need to do is find a shop and have the shop contact customer care and start the claim. I also asked if there were any preferred shops they recommend near my location and I was advised that they didn’t have a list and I can take my truck anywhere I would preferrer.

Once I decided on a shop (Detailing Pros) the owner proceeded to following the instructions on filing a claim. The owner of Detailing Pros called Allstate Car Care customer service and filed the claim with the estimated price to complete, as recommended. He was later advised by a representative (unknown name but the email address is **) that he needs to send pictures of the interior and exterior and a picture of an small area of that work completed. The owner sent pictures of both before and after pictures of the small area of the interior and exterior he completed to the email address listed above. After the pictures were sent he was later advised by another representative (unknown name but email address is **) that an inspector is required to come out to the shop to inspect the truck.

Two small areas of work has been completed on my truck which I have had to pay the detailing shop out of pocket since he has completed this work and this claim is still pending 24 hours now, awaiting a inspection which can take another 24-48 hours. I proceeded to call Allstate Car Car customer service with answers as to why did the shop had to send pictures of the issues with interior and exterior prior to the inspector coming out initially. I was advised by (**) that this is standard procedure. None of this information was mention from the first initial call nor email.

I have now paid out of pocket for work completed by services purchased and covered in my Car Care package. I’m not understanding why Allstate would required work to be done even a small area to be completed without paying for the small areas prior from sending out an inspector. This has been a frustrating and high inconvenience on my end and the shop. I attempted to speak with a manager and per (**). He is unavailable to take my call right away, I advised I would wait on hold and she stated he will have to call me tomorrow morning around 10:00am. I discovered this on 9/17/18, and immediately got insurance with Progressive. I then called Allstate to ask them what happened, all they could say was that they made an "error". They then restarted my policy (again without my permission- I had already bought insurance with Progressive so obviously I wouldn't restart my policy with Allstate).

They now say my policy was cancelled on 9/21/18, which wouldn't make sense, because it was cancelled on 9/7/18, and I got new insurance 10 days later (the 10 days that Allstate left me uninsured without my knowledge) on 9/17/18. They are now attempting to collect $294.50 from me, and have started a collection action against me 15 months after the fact. I don't believe I owe them this money, especially since if I hadn't called to let them know about the error, they would never have known and never would have restarted my policy against my wishes, and I never would have gotten a bill for it. Enterprise says "Allstate won't pay any more". I said "Your contract is with allstate; you are not authorized to charge my card". If you are working for allstate; you are the devil! You are in good-hands... Devil's hands with allstate. Allstate is the worst company on Earth! The insurance board should investigate their unethical business practices and bar allstate from ever doing business in the U.S. and the world. Genevieve ** may you rot in hell.

Tried to contact a Allstate agent after their insured ran into me while I was stopped at a stop sign. No I was not re- ended. It was snowing. The driver was driving too fast. Tried to avoid a accident that happened in front of me, hit one vehicle and ran into my vehicle. It’s been two weeks, plus. My insurance gave the ok to start repairs. My issue is I do not have a reliable vehicle. I was informed by one of the insurance companies of one of the 5 vehicles with contact info for Allstate, the insurance for the vehicle that hit me. After 3 days of leaving messages, contact was made to a very rude claims agent. Who has not even bothered to look at the reports and showed no intention of doing so in a timely manner so they can ok a rental for us to use while our vehicle is being repaired.

Recently was in an accident with an Allstate Insured in October of 2019 and I must say still is a horrible ongoing experience! It is January almost February of 2020 and the adjuster still hasn't properly investigated the claim. Claiming my fiance and I are 85% responsible. Their policy holder was trying to make a right turn from a left turning lane and hit into our vehicle which was going straight in the right lane! And there's a police report. Worst insurance company to deal with.
