I switched to Allstate for cheaper rate offer provided from the Baltimore office with Alexis on 3/8. I provided my Debit card information for payment and received an email with payment confirmation and insurance information. On April 26th I received a notice from MVA my insurance was cancelled on 3/10. I called allstate and provided my policy number, got transferred to the local office in Baltimore and received the worse customer service ever. Alexis no longer works there and the man on the phone was very rude. I avoided arguing with him and stated I'll just write a review after I get assistance elsewhere.
20 minutes later I received text messages from him (**) with a screenshot of returned check charges etc.. and a long message telling me I'm Shifting the blame. I refused to argue with this man but will pray that Allstate finds better representatives. I'm back where I belong and I'm covered. But today 5/6 I get call from Allstate trying to offer me discounted rates for combined auto and homeowners insurance. Please help me figure out what's wrong with this picture. If I'm the one with insufficient funds how am I eligible to be covered so soon with discounts. You get what you pay for and I'm good paying the right price for better service and coverage. Stay away from Allstate
I acquired a Mileswise policy in 9/21/2021. It was set to renew on 3/21/2022. I was contact at 9:05am by an Allstate rep concerning renewal. She asked why I did not receive renewal Docs and cards. I answered that I did not know why and that I had not received anything in the mail due to the fact I was enrolled in Mileswise program. She had me call a Milewise Rep for Allstate. At which time I was connected with Ms. ** in North Carolina. She stated that I needed to pay $174 for my renewal docs to auto populate in the apps so that the dates on the cards would be update. I gave her my card info and asked to make sure, and she checked with a supervisor. She said that it should update within 48 hours at the latest.
As I am now driving on expired documents. 2 days went pass and the docs never changed and I still had expired docs in the app and nothing ever came in the mail. I called back and made an escalated complaint upon finding out that the was a $300 unpaid overage on my milewise account. My escalation was handled by a Chris ** at their Corporate office who only conveyed the recycled statement of a $300 unpaid balance which was not seen until after I paid $174. I told Mr. ** that I no longer wanted to do business with allstate. I was then told by another rep that the policy would cancel if I did not make payment by the 5th. I did not and proceeded to other insurance. I explained that it is seriously dangerous for me as an African American male to ride with expired documents as this would only cause problems. Especially when I have paid what they asked for renewal.
After getting new insurance I called on the 9th to tell them that I am canceling because I have a new policey, a gentlemen told me on 4/9/2022 that I was due a refund because I had paid that $174 as a "renewal" and now I am canceling the policy. I apprised him of the entire situation and he was sure of the refund. I did have to call again as he placed the points of our conversation in notes.
A LaDonna called me today to state that I was not entitled to a refund. I stated that requested was not manufactured by me. The gentlemen state that I was entitled to the refund. She said that my Policy was reinstated on the 12th due to my payment on March 21st. I explained not insurance company should allow a customer to ride on expired documentation if he has done as instructed. Plainly Allstate's actions were negligent and oblivious to the fact that I rode on expired docs and this was unfair and dangerous to me as a consumer. I would not recommend and further action is forthcoming.
I was rear ended at high speed by one of their policyholders in December. Their driver was given a citation. My car was written off so I put in a claim with Allstate. I was given a name and number for an adjuster for my claim when I called her I never got through to a person, I left multiple voice mails which were never returned. I called customer service many times which every time I was asked to go through what happened at the accident and told someone would get back to me, nobody ever did. I finally had to go through my insurance as I needed a car. It took Allstate 6 weeks to admit fault. They never did contact me to see about injuries missed time off of work. I always have to call them. After this experience I would never use Allstate as my insurance company, terrible customer service.
This is the worse company. I was reared by an Allstate insured, who was issued a citation. The adjuster chopped my estimate down by 800.00 and told me I had to get the cheapest aftermarket parts. She or her supervisor has not returned my calls, when I call the representatives continue to put the call back in queue. I have never had an accident, my car was in Mint condition as I had just gotten a Carfax report from the Lincoln dealership who has performed all maintenance on my Lincoln. I had Excellent condition Ford parts but Allstate will not allow my vehicle to be repaired to the condition as it was prior to the accident. I had Authentic parts, not aftermarket. Customer service is horrible and unprofessional.
I have had their insurance for around a year and half. First it started out good, the price of the insurance was great, they had my car, motorcycle and house and the rates were great. I hit a Deer and that's where I started having issues. I put in my claim, they never called me, I had to call all the time just to find out what was going on and where my claim was at. They did pay off, again I had to find out by calling in instead of them calling me. I never heard from my agent during the entire time of my claim. They did pay me off Quickly and fairly for my car after I called in to find out what was happening, they had it solved a week prior to my call but did not pay until I called.
I called to cancel my policies because I could not get an online quote, I was adding 2 vehicles and another driver, I had to call in, I called in 3 times, each time I got a different quote in a range of $400 difference. After I cancelled, 3 days ago it still shows up as being active, I have no idea how much I'm getting back. Their Computer system is slow updating, they told me it would take 48 to 72 hours to update, it's been that and still showing active, there are docs that show I cancelled but only the docs, no move in their system. As you can see, their system must be antiquated and I had lousy service, the prices are near the best if you don't mind bad service.
I do not recommend Allstate, I had an incident on January 7, the day of the snowfall, I filed the claim and Allstate does not want to pay, the adjuster that they assign the adjusters does not want to pay, the estimate was sent separately. Allstate requested a new estimate from workshop, I have been there for three weeks and the adjuster has not wanted to evaluate so as not to pay, but if one is days late if they are calling you to threaten you with the DMV to suspend the insurance, you think it is fair that Allstate be paid every month now at the time of an accident Allstate washes its hands notifying that the damage of the accident has not been evaluated when they already have all the estimated prices, I have been with Allstate for 10 years and I already realized that Allstate does not work. They only want to be paid their monthly payments and at the time of a claim call the claim department and they don't know how to answer you.
I do not recommend Allstate. Look at other insurance that actually pays for the damages. Allstate no longer works. It is just a name and advertising. Take a good look, between the claims offices and departments they do nothing, and when you have an accident, ask for the budget in the body shop about how much the fix will cost you and don't let the Auto Body shop charge you the supplement because between the Allstate adjuster and the Auto Body shop they agree so that the Auto Body shop charges a hefty sum of money without needing to. I do not recommend any supplement, ask for the estimate beforehand and pay exactly what the paint shop is charging, do not let the supplement be charged, that is scam and theft...
Supervisors are too good to speak to the customer. I talked to a rep that contacted a supervisor within 1 minute, the supervisor asked him to ask me questions instead of answering the call. Then I have to call back 5 times still no supervisor. Total of 5 calls and 2 hours still no one to help. This is a joke. We pay a lot of money to them clowns.
After preaching in the car for my son we called in to inform the insurance that this was a new car and it was assigned to our son and they added the car to the policy. But when he got into car accident they said he wasn't included in the policy but yet they took all my money and the car was added with no problem so we end up paying to fix our car out of our pocket. After that we just continue our policy with them as well as our resident home and our rental units.
After shopping around I found a policy that was 1/3 the cost (Literally 1/3 the cost) and cancelled. After canceling I was charged 30% of the yearly fee after only having insurance for 13 days. Total scam hidden in the fine print.
My car was rear ended on Sept 5, 2021. Called them but have not been able to fix my car. They give you so much running around and their sales people are very rude, Please do not get this insurance cause they will lure you with low payments and every month they increase. Run as far away as you can from this wretched company. Filled with people that do not have ethics and principles. Every time I talk to one of them I feel like am dealing with scammers.
I was involved in an accident, that was 100% the other driver's fault; who is insured by Allstate Insurance Co. I was told to rent a car, from Enterprise car rental. I had to give them, free reign of my credit card. Allstate should have paid Enterprise directly. Other people I know, had Allstate, pay Enterprise directly.
Was rear ended by an Allstate customer, police report and common sense says it was 100% their fault. Took me a month and a bunch of going back and forth with them before Allstate would even accept the claim. Kept trying to say they hadn't heard from their customer so they couldn't "verify" my claim. Yeah, her car was totaled, I'm sure she just forgot to call you.
Once they finally moved forward they tried to say all I needed was my bumper "refinished". A plastic bumper with holes and tears in it. They offered a tiny fraction of the quote I sent them from my mechanic. Which involved replacing the bumper, the underlying structure, and the rear subframe. Instead of working with me Allstate ignored me from that point on. They called my mechanic, who told them the same thing I had. In response to that they coughed up a little bit more, but still far short of the quote. In their revised estimate they added a few more parts but still insisted on refinishing the bumper. I told them no, they ignored me, and neither me nor my mechanic have heard from them since. At no point did they actually come out and look at the damage, this was all done over the phone. So now I have a damaged vehicle and will be out of pocket about $1000 to repair it. Garbage company, stay away.
I have been an Allstate member for 30 years. They have never done me wrong!! Claims, houses, cars, customer service… It’s all been excellent!!! Both my local agent and the global customer service agents have always been friendly, answered my questions and been so helpful!!!
Two occasions: first occasion was when Allstate didn’t want to finish my repairs on my veh when a deer jumped in front of. They waited their precious time and went over my 30 days on my rental and I just now knowing I owed a rental company. I asked several times can someone come out and do a full inspection and nothing happened. That virtual thing is not good. Allstate left me to still fix the remaining of my car and and rental I had.
2nd time is when Ed ** felt with all my information given it was either not enough or not to his standards and denied my theft claim at my home. I went through the deposition he assigned and everything. I gave him a lot of information to review. I even asked did he want to come to my home. From December to March I waited patiently to just find out today my claim was denied. I got a feeling I was ** and the deposition was **. He didn’t want to believe me or her. She is your lawyer. Why would she want to side with me. I presented my evidence and he didn’t like her judgement. Allstate is not for the people. I spent my money on allstate and I wish I never did. They need better agents and a better system. I will NEVER recommend ALLSTATE!!!!
Beware of James **. Agency Fountain Hills Az. The agent did not let me know that when I purchased a boat policy it would not be refundable if I moved and cancelled before term ended, although car and home policies are refundable. Amy said it was in the "Fine Print" of the policy. Typical of Allstate. Would recommend State Farm.
Rep did not have knowledge of insurance. I asked some very basic questions about my insurance. He did not know and continued to be put on hold 4 times in 15 min of conversation. I may be switching insurance. I need to have someone that has knowledge about the insurance they work for.
- Allstate customer from 1994 to 2005. - Full coverage. - We were stopped at a red light. - No sound, no warning -- an uninsured driver fell asleep on his way home from work, foot pressed on gas pedal, rear-ended us at minimum 65MPH. - Impact thrust our car 50 feet forward. If there were any traffic in the intersection at that moment, we would have been car-ponged and killed for sure. - My head whiplashed against the head rest so hard that it broke out and fell behind the seat. I blacked out from the concussion. My wife's whiplash was almost as bad. It's an absolutely miracle that our toddler was unharmed (save for seatbelt-burns). Thank God we only had 1 child at the time, because with the position we were hit, the other child would have been killed instantly.
- The car was so completely totaled, the only salvage-able part was the hood over the engine. Every single other part was impact-rippled and damaged, including the roof and front fenders of the car. - During the initial 90 days after the accident, we knew exactly what life felt like for arthritis-plagued 80+ year olds. We understood what the term "dull, sapping, ever-present pain" truly means. - MRIs show that I now have 2 herniated discs in my neck. My wife has 1.
- Allstate refused to respond to our claim for exactly 1 year (somehow, by law, insurance companies are allowed 365 days before they must respond) -- they responded literally hours before the deadline. - Allstate had dozens of photos of the car, had the full report of the scene of the accident, had our MRIs and chiropractor report... and their response to our claim was: "We are not convinced that your injuries were caused by this accident. We are refusing your claim."
- I could give details of the next 2 years of taking legal action against Allstate -- but the best way to summarize it would be: Instead of just paying us our insured amount (less than six figures), Allstate spent at least 3 times that amount (close to a quarter-million) in lawyer and research (dirt-digging) expenses. It's not an exaggeration to say that they went after us like an over-zealous prosecuting attorney determined to pin a manslaughter charge on a jaywalker.
- In the end? I lost my business, I had to find employment (despite my condition) that couldn't cover our bills, we lost our home... we lost everything. We had to move in with relatives, pennyless, and had to start all over. - And I still suffer from 2 herniated discs in my neck and occasional severe migraines that are triggered when I am not careful in how I position my neck, and how I position my head when I sleep.
It is said that the lowest levels of Hell are reserved for "betrayers." However, there must be level lower than that, because there is a class of inhumans that the English language has no vocabulary for that can only be described as "beyond betrayers." I propose that this class of infernal beings be titled "Allstate Claim Decision Makers and Lawyers."
Allstate says "you're in good hands." I called them for a quote for an auto policy tonight. I have a perfect driving record but did have claims last year. NONE of them were my fault. I pay about 1500.00 per year regularly. Allstate quoted me 5,100.00 for a year 520 per month for a basic Auto policy with their platinum plan. And I have NO surcharges on my record for over 25 years. STAY AWAY. THEIR PRICES ARE INSANE.
I filed a collision claim 5 days ago and no one contacted me yet. I was able to get the claim advisor's name and number after shooting a lot of emails and making a lot of calls. She (Olivia **) did not contact me at all. She is not available to be contacted. No one is listening. I seem to be talking with walls. It's frustrating and disappointing.
The windshield window cracked, and I was referred to a repair shop. After changing the windshield window four times, it still leaks. Allstate refuses to change the repair shop and thinks I should go to the same shop!! Despite several phone calls, they declined my request to talk to the supervisor.
I was able to get a deal online with the Idaho representative. I have paid and downloaded the app and the discount is exactly as sent to my mail. I will update the comment if anything changes again, or if the premium stays true to advertisement. Right now, my premium shows 'temporary for 60 days' but as soon as I verify that nothing changes, I will update everyone and increase the star rating based on their service.
BEWARE of this company!! I will explain the details of their nefarious mode of operation, so no one else falls in the same trap.
1. DO NOT TRY TO GET A QUOTE FROM THEM.
I went online, filled in my biodata, bank details, credit card number etc. and they gave me a quote of $79 every month. I cancelled my current Nationwide insurance of $96 every month (Now I know that was a stupid thing to do) immediately because they tried to increase my rate + $50 ($148 monthly). Keep in mind that I have a clean driving record with no claims or tickets whatsoever. However, when I tried to make the payment due with Allstate, I kept getting an error message saying, "We are having technical issues with our website right now, please contact a customer care on 800.....". I tried paying several times but to no avail.
I eventually did call an insurance agent with Allstate and they told me I was going to pay $111 dollars per month. I was furious and asked them why it changed, all they could tell me was that the online platform is not accurate, and only gives a quick quote. I explained to them that there's no such thing as a quick quote, there's only A QUOTE or an ESTIMATE! Apparently, the technical difficulty message on their website is a deliberate act to prevent people from accessing the quote agreed on, and to force unsuspecting customers to call insurance agents who will then increase the previously agreed premiums.
2. I filled in my biodata, bank details, and credit card details on their website. The only reason I put those details on there was because it was their payment page, and I was about to make payments. Now they have access to all my data, they also defaulted on an agreement (quote) that we had, leaving me stranded and desperate to go for the next available fraudulent financial institution.
Isn't it ridiculous that these agencies can decide to increase one's insurance premiums on the mere basis of relocation to another state despite having an excellent driving record? In summary, NEVER FILL IN YOUR DETAILS IN ALLSTATE WEBSITE WHILE GETTING A SEEMINGLY GOOD QUOTE. More than likely, it is a false advertising bait used to attract unsuspecting victims (like me). Customer care representatives are well-trained liars. AVOID AT ALL COST!
The Allstate agency located is south Florida, Fuentes & Martinez Insurance Group, Inc the worst agency I have ever worked with in the 45+ years driving. They transfer me from dept. to dept. then back to the same dept. No help. Then give you a different number to call back to the same circle of depts. Issue never resolved! they just don't care! Corporate no difference. Trust me you won't be in Good Hands!
My dad has been using All-state since the 1980's when he purchased homes in Utah. And has all his vehicles covered by them. And after all the years he's been a loyal customer. They made a mistake on his auto policy. Back in March, he called allstate to ask them to remove his dodge caravan from the policy because it had engine problems. And he also asked them that same day to insure the Ford Freestar, which was in storage with comprehensive coverage, he requested them to bring it out from storage status and insure it with liability coverage to use as his replacement primary vehicle.
Unfortunately I borrowed my dad's van a few months later and had an accident. And to both our surprise and disappointment we found out allstate failed to update my dad's auto policy to liability insurance, and it was still listed as comprehensive insurance. And the allstate agent refused to cover the van for the accident. And because of allstate's mistake, I was charged with driving without insurance.
As if this wasn't bad enough for both my dad and I, it got even worse. A few weeks after my dad attempted to file a claim for the Ford Freestar and was rejected by the allstate agent. The Utah DMV license division sent me a letter saying their records show the Ford Freestar was driven without insurance and was in an accident, and they warned me not to drive because my license was suspended indefinitely. And when I went to the DMV license division to get more details about the reasons why my license was suspended. The DMV agent told me it was our insurance company (allstate) that actually contacted the DMV to report the car was driven without insurance and had been in an accident. When I searched online, this is not normal procedure for most insurance companies to do such a thing. As soon as we find another insurance company, allstate can go to hell! They are dishonest, and despicable people working for allstate.
Oralia ** - Customer Service Representative Thomas ** - Duncanville 4/2/2021 Karen ** - Office Manager Oralia and this office staff are liars and lack integrity. I’d never refer anyone to them and cannot wait for my policy to expire. I pray that I can find a more reputable company that offers true services. It may require that I pay more but I’m not nor have I ever been fully covered due to this agency’s negligence. I find it appalling that this company can say that they’ve sent correspondence to me but lack the ability to produce it. They failed to action my policy as requested but placed fictitious notes instead. They do not record calls which benefits their negligence and lack of service. They do nothing to attempt to right their errors but attempt to persuade you to deepen your relationship with them. Who willfully does business with liars? That’s like joyfully playing with the devil, waiting to get burned. Save yourself from Allstate.
My vehicle was hit by another vehicle insured by Allstate in the parking lot. I submitted a claim to allstate, during the process, allstate asked me to provide them with two estimates from different body shop which I did, but unfortunately they paid me half what the estimates came up to. I am very disappointed at the outcome. I will not recommend allstate to anyone.
Filed a claim and provided all receipts. Claim dept tried to say that towing was not covered under my policy and just terminated the claim paying me nothing. Now it's been 4 months later and I went to file a complaint and was sent back into a 40 minute wait to start the complaint all over again. Now fighting with managers to get what is owed to me. Simply put, if you have a claim you will most likely be very disappointed with level of professionalism and won't get your money. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO OBTAIN reliable insurance. (FYI, my friend sells ALLSTATE insurance and he said everyone is almost always pissed off when they get the run around)...Just hope it doesn't happen to you!

I received a letter from Allstate Drivewise Program that starting 08/11/2021 they will apply my points to my Auto instead applying points to the Reward payout. There has always been options to use points for Auto policy credit, mail a check or apply to the Reward account to redeem on items. I do not need assistance with my Auto Policy premiums and points were earned to use on gift cards and/or merchandise. I called Allstate Drivewise and was told they were mainstreaming to one options which is crazy. My question would be... are they removing all rewards that the customer can use/redeem their points for? On the Drivewise website there is no mention of the changes for the customer to see.
Allstate Rewards® is a program that works with the Allstate Drivewise product. On the Allstate Rewards site, you will be able to use the points you've earned for your safe driving (captured by Drivewise). Redeem points for savings on brand-name merchandise, gift cards, local deals and more. Plus, you can also use your Points for chances to win great prizes in live Auctions and Sweepstakes.
You will also be able to utilize the Drivewise Cash you receive from your Drivewise Enrollment and driving Performance toward purchasing merchandise and gift cards. If you're not interested in your Drivewise Cash to shop the site, you can request to receive a check in the mail or a credit your auto policy premium for the total amount.
I do not want to participate in the Drivewise Program to credit my points to Auto policy. I CAN PAY MY AUTO POLICY WITHOUT DRIVEWISE ASSISTANCE! I want option to select where the accrue points go not Allstate.
DO NOT BUY ALLSTATE. This used to be my agent office - for 23 YEARS. I'm a physician, and during the pandemic I sold my house (also Allstate policy - so they knew I sold it) and took a job with the Military. So, relocating physician during the pandemic, working for the Military. I sold my house in April and was moving. I made a car payment also in April, but made the next payment in July since I had my mail on hold trying to find a house to buy (none in Syracuse unless you had loads of cash). Allstate CANCELED my policy in JUNE with my last payment in APRIL, after 23 years. AND THEY WOULD NOT REINSTATE IT, and this office RETURNED MY PAYMENT from July (which I have yet to receive).
Geez, maybe they could have called? Or reinstated the policy? But NO, now I can't register my car, had to find an expensive emergency policy (with Progressive) while juggling being displaced, and working as a PHYSICIAN for the MILITARY IN A PANDEMIC. So ALLSTATE HAS NO LOYALTY TO YOU. Neither does this office (Adam Roux apparently was sold my policy at the Liverpool office - used to be Ciotti and then Sikora - who were better imho). LOOK ELSEWHERE. NOT ALLSTATE, and NOT LIVERPOOL.
There have been a few shining stars throughout this process that have restored some of my faith in the company. These people have been found through my persistence and constant calling. Thank you to Crystal and Thelma for all they have done and continue to do. Again, though, the vast majority of this process has been awful for my state of being.
Upon filing my auto claim, I was greeted with a claims agent that barely knew English. I had multiple claims agents hang up on me after I had only been on the line for five minutes, for no reason whatsoever. I had a claim agent lie to me about my police report being requested, when it never was, and I only found out two weeks later when I reached out to check on its progress. No one ever called to see how I was doing or to update me on the process. I had to set up my rental car through the body shop because AllState was too incompetent to set it up for me. I had to use AAA to help tow my car.
I had to reach out for every single question or concern I had, and it was often not AllState that responded and helped me. I would not recommend AllState Auto Insurance to anyone; they've been absolutely horrendous through every step of this accident process. What do we pay for if not for care and communication after an accident? I've learned that any other company is better. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
I work for a well known law firm in the Midwest area. I have seen how Allstate's customer service it's been deteriorating reaching the lowest level over the last years. They take too long to even evaluate the damages of a vehicle to determine if is repairable or a total loss. This process would usually take just a few days while Allstate could easily take several weeks. If the vehicle is determined to be a total loss the process is even worse! They have a service number for the total loss cases and sadly the lack of basic insurance concepts on many of the representatives is impressive.
You call for status and often times you are not able to obtain any straight answer when you call. The adjusters cover for each other even known they are making mistakes. You can get an apology for the delay and admitting their mistakes and a week later receive a denial saying it was not their fault. They've turned into one of the worst companies to deal with. The unfairness handling claims, regardless if you are a claimant or their own insured, is unbelievable!
This is the worst insurance company I've ever dealt with. My car was hit April 18. They didn't respond to the auto repair center to BEGIN repairs until May 19. And then didn't send me the reimbursement check for my rental until June 21. That is entirely too long to take for any of those steps, and there was no communication, no explanation as to why it was taking so long. I would call, leave messages, and get nothing back. Because they were so tardy, I had to keep extending my rental contract out week after week until the bill totaled nearly $4000 (which I had to pay out of pocket because their company doesn't contract with rental agencies, instead they reimburse you which is foolish because not everyone has the necessary funds for costs like that up front) but then learned they were only going to pay a little over $1800, less than half of the reimbursement!
I tried to fight them but they kept saying no, they were not responsible. Their client hit me and they as an insurance company made a promise to cover the damages caused by their client. That's what an insurance company is supposed to do. I never would have had to spend that much if they hadn't dragged their feet. It's almost negligence at this point. To top it off, they sent the letter with the reimbursement check, but not the check itself. I had to call their corporate office to get it direct deposited to me.
1. Incompetence2. Slow
3. Poor communication
4. No contracts for verification, just word of mouth
5. Forced reimbursement policy
6. Lack of full payment
And it wasn't even the fault of only one individual. The main agent I worked with took an extended amount of time off and forwarded all his calls to a different agent, who was also gone and forwarded all her calls to a different agent, whose voicemail said he was not taking any more calls. And the manager I spoke with was no help in resolving this. And then the person who forgot to put the check in the envelope. It's the whole company. The only reason I give them 2 stars instead of 0 is because my car actually got fixed. But this was a headache I would not wish on anyone.
About two years ago we had Allstate try to auto add someone to our automobile policy. This was someone we didn't even know, and despite whatever Texas database they pulled the information from this individual did not live with us. Allstate put the burden of proof and getting it so this person would not be added on us, which is ridiculous. The hoops we had to jump through were insane, and at a very difficult time for our family. It is bad, money grabbing corporate policies that were cited that were used to attempt to justify this. Who I have on my insurance and who I am paying for or not paying for is my business and my business alone, not Allstate's.
Now, today, I receive an email notification that Allstate was going to add my 16 year old child to my insurance. A child that has a learner's permit and not a actual provisional or regular license. I call up the number I was given and some dubious line that smacked of "corporate policy" and underwriters policy was fed to me. They claimed that in the state of Texas, after 6 months of having a Learner's License that Texas considered them licensed, which is utter nonsense. Not to mention the fact that this was suddenly dumped on us not six months later, but a couple months away from it being TWO YEARS since she got her Learner's License.
This on top of the fact that before she received her Learner's License I spoke to Allstate representatives on what their policy was and was assured that as long as she had a Learner's License and was not an actual Licensed Driver that she was covered under our policy and did not need to be added in full since she couldn't drive on her own. Furthermore, Allstate has not updated their position on this policy online and I therefore find it highly suspect that our agent's office is doing this at this moment.
If this is in fact not Allstate's position I would like to suggest they reign in their local agents because after these two issues, issues I have not had with any other insurance company we are now taking our business elsewhere. After having shopped around for additional quotes no other major insurance carrier that I spoke to has the requirement of fully adding our child, with her Learner's License to our insurance policy, and no misinformation concerning some fabricated "six month" limit. For the icing on the cake they could not forward any documentation to us concerning this supposed underwriting policy as it was something they didn't give out and was only for use "in house".
Again, if this is not actually Allstate's position I want to make this company aware that some of their agents are pushing these underhanded practices and "corporate policies", perhaps for a chance to increase premiums. Her full addition would have nearly doubled our auto insurance. If it was an attempted money grab it has most certainly backfired as we are now leaving Allstate, will never return to Allstate, and will warn our friends and family, especially those that are facing new learning drivers of our issues and problems with Allstate as a cautionary tale. We should have left with the first instance of over reach. I did not sign up to have a corporation dictate to me. Had the first not happened we would still be leaving because of the second instance. My word to any and all, when it comes to Allstate caveat emptor (buyer beware)!
I was trying to get a quote for a homeowners and auto insurance bundle to replace my expiring bundle. Allstate without my authorization, removed funds from my mortgage company escrow account to pay for a yearly policy and they actually requested more money than was even on the quote. I never signed any documents and I never received an email even stating what the policy covered other than the conversation with a moronic agent. They also remove money from my checking account for my auto policy without so much as a signed document.
If you buy Allstate insurance you are taking a huge risk because for one thing they won't even pay a claim without putting up a tremendous fight with you and now they have deducted money from my escrow account and checking account without my authorization and frankly when looking into it I have no legal avenues available to me. This is a travesty and this company is nothing more than a thief disguised as an insurance company. Worst experience I've ever had don't trust them.
I started shopping around for auto insurance as I was paying almost 350 MONTH to State Farm with very little coverage or options. Allstate provided on paper a much better coverage plan with some really good options for a much cheaper price. HOWEVER! After switching, I had to make an adjustment to my plan. It was impossible to get anyone on the phone. It was either talk with a machine, or go straight to voice mail. There was no other way for me to talk to anyone. I left several voice messages over the course of a couple of hours to get the adjustment made. I gave up. Fast forward 24 hours later and someone calls me. I pretty much told them I'm going to look for a new insurance company. If this had been something serious that level of customer service is not the kind of stress I would want at that time. You are clearly NOT in good hand, with All Fake.
I was involved in a flood almost 7 months ago and I am still waiting for Allstate to honor a claim that has been passed around to at least 5 adjusters with no satisfaction as of yet. I was sent to an allstate recommended repair shop that did not handle my case as they should have from the time I took my vehicle in. After not being satisfied there I was told that I could take my vehicle to a shop of my choice which I did but was told that they would not honor the shop's supplement due to rust which was not the case for my problem.
I was told by the mechanic that my vehicle was surely damaged from the flood which caused water damage yet I was told that the person handling my claim has been moved to another department and left false information on my claim which caused my claim to be denied. I have never been late on paying my insurance premium and now the manager (**, DEBORAH) who has taken over my claim has called me today and informed me that they would be moving to another department and would be passing my claim on to someone named John (no last name given).
Problem was caused by Farmers, not Allstate.
On Tuesday April 6, 2021 I received a phone call from a Farmer's claims adjuster in Oklahoma City telling me Allstate has filed a claim against a now cancelled Farmer's policy claiming my 2018 pickup was involved in an accident on April 1st. The name of the person who was supposed to be driving my truck is someone I have never heard of. And the company who owns the other vehicle seems to be based solely in Houston, Texas.
Problem is I have not been in Houston for almost a year and on April 1st my truck never left my garage in Temple, Texas. I have tried contacting Allstate about this and keep getting the head in the sand routine, the "I know nothing" response. This is at least insurance fraud and perhaps identity theft as well. Perhaps my questions will be answered after the Texas Department on Insurance acts on the complaint filed against Allstate.
I have a claim with them and every time I deal with them it's painful. They might be cheaper in the first year or whatever but the premiums will rise fast and the stress and HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE is not worth it. Here are just 2 examples: Had a claim for our car. Hit a deer. It took months to settle. A lot of passing the buck and no one answering our calls. The "preferred" body shop was beyond terrible. It took us threatening lawyers and taking legal action for them to finally move our car to a good shop and get it repaired. Stress, headache and terrible customer service.
Example 2. My Visa needed to be updated with them. This happens all the time if you get compromised or it expires. It took 36 minutes for them to update my visa. I know it just happened today and I checked my phone. They had to get my visa number for EVERY policy (car, house, rental, etc.). Almost 40 minutes to do something simple. That is what Allstate does. Then I wanted to complain to the manager. On hold for 10 minutes to tell me they won't talk to me and to email them. RIDICULOUS! RUN! RUN! RUN away as fast as you can. If you choose Allstate you get what you deserve... which is a terrible experience.
Allstate Auto Insurance claims department used a virtual claims adjuster to determine estimate on my damaged vehicle. My vehicle was parked and empty when a vehicle backed into the front end of my vehicle. The adjuster and repair shop did not communicate apparently during the repair process which lasted three weeks. I, during the process had to pay out of pocket over a thousand dollars for a rental car. Which was to be refunded on completion of repair.
When I was notified that all repairs were completed it was explained to me by the body shop that Allstate was not going to pay for total cost of repair. I had numerous conversations with Mr. Jeffery **, Claims Manager, out of the Las Vegas department. Myself and my vehicle were held hostage until I paid approximately one thousand eighty dollars to the repair shop to retrieve my vehicle. I am the innocent victim of bullying tactics by Allstate auto insurance. Why should the burden of restitution fall on me for the disagreement Allstate had with the repair shop? This was not reasonable in any way. Beware of Allstate auto, I will never recommend them to anyone! I have filed a complaint with the Az Dept. of Insurance, hoping to recover my cost. I hope to at least have others be aware of big business taking advantage of consumers as they choose to.
I was a loyal Allstate customer for years. When Hurricane Isaias hit, my roof was damaged. All my next door neighbors, got payment for a new roof or for repairs from their insurance company. Allstate refused and was the only one to claim normal wear and tear. Stay clear of Allstate.
I had them once for one month, when I had to get a new car off the lot, within the 1st month we called another insurance company for a quote "The General" and their monthly quote was literally 500$ cheaper than Allstate's. I don't understand how most people save 700$ "on average" by switching to Allstate when I saved 500$ in one month by leaving them. I am pretty sure they are the same company that owns Esurance, meaning they had to make another company just to offer cheaper rates lol. They are the most, if not one of the most expensive insurance companies out there. Go somewhere else.
The customer service representative Ms. Angelica **, was rude, aggressive, argumentative and went out of her way and her job description to intentionally try to add more tension and complications to the initial problem I called about. She tried lecturing me on her training class experience at Allstate. When I would not give a reaction she got frustrated and began insisting I give her a reason why I felt my car should have aftermarket parts.
Regardless of the fact I called because I stated I didn't want aftermarket parts on car due to depreciation concerns. She went on discrediting my reason and began over talking me. When I asked to speak to her supervisor, she said "No! You can't speak to my supervisor" and hung up on me. It should be known that you are not in good hands with Allstate. Actually some of the worst customer care in the industry.
The adjuster, Eric H. ** sent me an email stating, "Mr. X, I have investigated your claim and Allstate. We use aftermarket parts and will be putting aftermarket parts on your car"???? No offers for other alternatives, no customer edicatesy, just rude and demanding. Telling you that you have no control over what's being done to your property, despite the fact it's your property. I would not recommend Allstate to anyone if they expect to be well taken care of.
Tried to switch auto insurance to a new vehicle. Took me over 2 hours on hold, over two calls, to complete this simple task. Their website and app are utterly useless for anything other than paying your bill-surprise! Couldn’t print out or view insurance card on either. Their technology is stuck in the early 2000’s.
Bad and awful customer service. Lazy and expected me and my body shop to do all her paperwork and calling. Unprofessional and unethical. Tracy or Stacey is awful and just there for the measly 110k she makes a year. Ive always had great experiences with them but because of her, and the fact I caught her in 5 lies, I'm finding a different company to insure me and bad customer service can break a company. They need to find people that like their jobs because she obviously doesn't or she's discriminating against me.
Allstate has been a complete nightmare! I do NOT have insurance with Allstate but a customer hit me. I am required to pay out of pocket cost for a rental something I can not afford just to go to work!
I was involved in an accident where an Allstate insured driver ran into my parked car and caused $13,000.00 damage. Allstate not only did not reimburse the full amount of the rental car needed while my car was in the shop but what they did pay took them 2 months and about 6 phone calls to respond. That was the good part of the experience. The diminished value department transferred the claims adjuster 3 times, did not substantiate any of their numbers with fair 3rd party estimates and did not act in good faith. I will never buy insurance from Allstate and I will tell my story to the world to warn everyone to stay away for their own best interest.
In the 25 years we've had roadside insurance (through our Allstate SUV policy), we've never had to use it. Allstate has been great to work with in other areas of the policy, so I assume this will be good too.
First, they lied to me about the company that was picking up my vehicle. The CSR told me I could go on home, which was 2 hours away and the company would pickup the vehicle with no issues. I had to call back 5 times and the car was not picked up until the next day. I was very disappointed in the service.
Works and reasonable. When I need assistance, it is available. I haven't visited every state, and haven't required assistance everywhere I have been, so I can only say it has worked for me! The best thing one can do is keep your car in good order. That will save time, money and anguish!
My name is James ** and I am 67 years old. I have had car insurance since I’m 16 years old and my experience with Allstate is the worst that I have ever had...I gave them one star out of five only because the review would not proceed if I gave them zero stars.. My daughter's car was totaled November 20 and for two days I heard from the woman who was assigned to the claim Kimberly ** many times throughout the day and I returned each call and gave her all the information that was requested...since November 24 I have reached out to Miss ** no less than five times on five different days and she has yet to return one of my phone calls.
I reached out to her supervisor Kimberly **, who was unavailable..(as is understandable in that these people are out in the field looking at damaged cars most of the day )...and her voicemail was not accepting voicemails..When I talk to someone in Kimberly **‘s office they assured me that the claim was in the total loss department so I called the total loss department...which seems to be in India... and I was told that the claim was not there so I called back to Kimberly **'s office and I was again told the claim was in the total loss department.... After again contacting the total loss department I was told that the claim was not there and was never completed by Kimberly **...
All I know is I just received a call from a manager there named Dan I believe and he asked me to stop sending emails and text messages and he agreed that Allstate is totally backed up and is going through re-organization and coronavirus and I asked him whether those same excuses would be acceptable if I was late paying my premium and he said that he understands and he agrees with me...Everyone at Allstate understands and agrees with me and tells me that I am in good hands but I feel like I am in anything but good hands with Allstate and how dare they use excuses that they would not accept from any consumer, ever, but these same excuses are acceptable when they use them.
I'm paying twice as much on insurance. I did some checking and found insurance for half the price thru Geico. I bought a car in April and it was sitting for five months before I received temp tags. I asked if I could get refunded. The answer was no. So I'm out over 600 dollars
I have been with Allstate for about 5 years after a local office cold-called me and persuaded me to switch from State Farm. The policy was much less expensive. I haven't had a single incident with my auto since becoming a policy holder (knock on wood) so I can't speak to their effectiveness in handling claims, but they are easy to work with and I have taken advantage of their good driver discounts a time or two.
Good insurance but way too expensive and not at all competitive with other insurers. The latest in their insurance offers is the mileage plus, which is hyped as very low cost, because only 8 cents per mile. They forget to tell you that's in addition to almost $2.00 per day base cost.
I was recently in the worst auto accident to date, in 41 years. Both my adjusters Christopher B. and Amy were outstanding to speak to. The empathy and assurance provided comfort that words cannot describe. I am so thankful they are in their positions and hopeful of the outcome.
I have always had answers that I asked. I trust the Allstate name and I know if I need them they will be here. Many of my friends put me on to this company and I trust their judgement as well.
All state At first was a good insurance company. However when I got in an accident they did not have my back. I was not in good hands. They did not investigate fully my accident and they are charging me extra premiums than what is allowed by law. The problem is All state before investigating or finishing a accident where ever whoever's fault is it. Before they even fully investigate they raise premiums which is not legal. Also all state refused to Reconsider a incorrect and erroneous ticket which my wife had on record talking on the phone. Before the new lock in effect they still charge an extra additional underwriting is not Legally compliant department. I am getting charge 3 times as I would. I'm just surprised.
Allstate is a nightmare for the auto insurance for me. I was involved in an accident where I didn't have fault. My car was in possession with Allstate and It was abandoned without properly notifying me.
I live in Florida and the cost of auto insurance is expensive. With COVID'19, working from home has been a norm and driving decreased. Allstate offers a pay by mile type of car insurance. It gives you the option for those who does not drive a lot to pay less. There is a daily rate plus a per mile rate that is calculated. I think it is great as I will be paying almost 300 dollars less than what I have with Geico even with their "15 % discount due to COVID'19".
This was the worst experience I've ever had with car insurance. They quoted me a fair price online but then weeks later mailed me a form saying that I had to pay significantly higher because I did not submit proof of a professional degree. I quickly submitted the proof but they did not fix the premium. My agent would not answer calls or emails and their customer service is terrible. I cancelled my premium early and they have not issued me a refund. Please stay away.
My son was in an auto wreck, the other driver who was at fault has AllState insurance. The police were called and the ticket as well as the witness all verified the circumstances. Other driver at fault. AllState is doing nothing on this claim. They are telling my son that they can not get in contact with their insured. My son has now been out of work for 3 weeks waiting on AllState to do what is the right thing, pay the claim. I personally have an AllState homeowners policy and auto policy that I am cancelling. I had to rate this with one star, it should be zero. I would strongly advise you to seek out a different insurance carrier, there are plenty out there, that will process claims in a timely manner.
I was laid due to COVID, as a result I changed my payment due date from the 15th of the month to the 27th of the same month. In May Allstate deducted almost $600 from my checking account, I do not have a job and this added to my financial stress. I called the 1800 number no one could explain why, I called my agent Anna **, she was no help either. Anna and the Allstate office promised to call me back and neither one did. I kept calling I eventually was told that they took 2 payments because I changed the due date. I explained my employment and financial situation and no one cared. I was utterly shocked when the next month came and they were still charging me the full amount even though I paid 2 payments the month before.
My account was paid in full until July, at which time I ended my relationship with Allstate. They have sent letters and a letter to collections regarding my account. No one has explained the charge and no one cares about my financial situation. I would understand if I had missed a payment but I have not. I believe in paying what I owe. I do not believe in being bullied by big corporations. STAY away from Allstate and Anna **.
Today I learned that I have not been covered for the 4 months. They send me my coverage card, which would seem to indicate that payment was received. But it apparently hadn't. There was no notice of the lapse of coverage at all. Then, now when they sent me a renewal notice for my home insurance, I discover that the car insurance was not there.
Since it lapsed, they now want to charge 3 TIMES more! They say state law requires this, and they cannot fix the problem. So, no accident triggered the increase, rather, it was purely triggered by their implication that I had coverage, and then their failure to let me know that it lapsed. This problem even affects my coverage with another company... so even leaving Allstate will not give me a better rate. Though, of course, I am not so foolish as to stay with them.
We have been with Allstate for about 12 years, never filed a claim. A week and a half ago I was rear ended at a stop light. We’ve had nothing but problems and it wasn’t even my fault. They never sent anyone out to look at my car to assess anything. They did call and ask us if it was totaled. When we told them that we didn’t know they had it towed to a garage. That was about a week ago. They never called to give us any information. We’ve had to call them many times and today, finally, we got to talk to someone. When we asked what was going on the guy said "Oh yeah, they’re going to fix it and not total it. They should start work on it some time next week." None of this was my fault, now I’m left with no car for probably two more weeks at least and they wouldn’t even try to get a rental through the other driver's insurance. The other driver admitted that it was her fault, but still they are doing nothing.
Oh and it took us 2 days to file the claim, they called a few times asking the same questions because there was a glitch in their system. Also, the guy that towed it originally said the car was totaled, the one tire was almost completely broken off and the whole back right side is completely smashed in including the hatch door, We were told that their mechanic was going to replace the one part on the back and when we asked about the rest the guy said “Yeah I’m sure they’ll fix all of it.” He doesn’t even know and he’s the adjuster! I can’t wait to see what the repair looks like, I’m sure it’s going to be the bare minimum. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my car but I’m sure there will be now. I can’t wait to switch insurance companies.
I do not recommend Allstate at all. Not only is their service lucratively more expensive than the same premium with other auto insurances, but their customer service and reps are awful. They are either rude or pretend they filed your complaint for a follow up and never return your call. I received incorrect information from my agent, leading me to miss payments or being charged more money than I had anticipated. Allstate does not care about its customers and does not care about dissatisfied customers. I understand not everyone's experience is the same but after several chances to redeem themselves, Allstate continued to let me down, leading me to switch to a different insurance with a better premium for a quarter of the price.
I am highly disappointed in Allstate. Specifically Floyd Knobs Indiana, Packy ** office. We canceled our service with them after our auto insurance went way up with no explanation at all (no new reason for it to go up by almost 100$ per month). Everything got taken care of and our account was canceled. We were told everything was up to date on payment. We did receive a refund on home insurance policy but nothing on auto. This week we got a paper from a collection agency saying we owed allstate money. No warning/bill request was sent to us prior to them sending it to collections. This is very poor customer service and I am very glad we switched companies to someone with more respect for their customers.
Allstate is harassing my 84 year old mother, not to say terrorizing her, given her dementia. They're sending her notices with scary warnings on the envelope, and when I call, some nice person on the phone tells me to ignore them. Why is that good enough? Allstate's computers generate false notices to cover them legally, just in case, and then some nice person on the phone, but off the record, gets to tell me not to worry about it? Well, my mother worries about it, because she's old, and frail, and demented. And I hate to admit that she doesn't trust me as much as Allstate's mail.
So, I'll call for a third time, and I expect that for a third time a nice person on the phone will assure me once again that everything got paid on time the first time I called. They'll tell me to ignore their notice. But why is that good enough? Why should I bear the burden of their not being in control of their own computer? Why should I accept verbal assurances of a false notice while they have written documentation of notice?
I called at 4:20 am coming from work in NC I live in VA I hit a pothole and my tire blow out. I was told I did not have roadside coverage. I have full coverage on three vehicles and a homeowners policy with Allstate. I explained I do have coverage the company have been to my house on 3 different occasions to jump-start one of my vehicles. I was told that I would have to pay. I called customer service three different time and got no help. I call my son at 6 am and he left work to come and help me. The location I was at was a gas station: truck stop. The customer service agent Knew my location and sent no help. This is how they treat their customers. The statement they have you covered when you need them is not true.
0 stars not 1. Allstate refused a claim. I was driving south on Davidson Road in Mooresville NC, second vehicle was in the left lane adjacent to me, tried to turn into a driveway and disregarded my vehicle and stuck my vehicle forcing me into the right shoulder curb. Operator did not speak English, police were called (officer ML **) and passenger in the offending vehicle spoke broken English and corroborated my version as to what happened. Driver of offending vehicle was issued a citation for causing the accident and operating without being properly licensed.
Hours later offending driver came to station with an interpreter and stated she did not cause the accident. Officer fisher voided the faliure to use caution in changing lanes but kept the improper license citation active, why, if myself and the passenger of the other vehicle both stated the driver of the other vehicle caused the accident, why would he cancel the first violation? Allstate claims agent Ivanna ** (**) and her supervisor Tony ** (**), denied the claim of damages totaling $4000 to my vehicle. NC is one of 3 states in the country if you can prove 1% that another party may have been negligent the claim can be denied 1%??!! Do you think lobbyists own the politicians in NC? If you think you have been taken advantage of an insurance company please feel free to contact the NC department of insurance and file a complaint. Stay far away from Allstate, far away!!
Supposedly with my husband and I being 20 & 19, owning a car and truck, having two previous minor rear-end accidents... I have to pay almost $700 just in liability insurance a month. That’s as much as my rent! I was paying $360 in liability a month for just my car before they added on my husband’s truck. I was quoted $400-$500 for both vehicles, but I was told when I called that they added on the truck and “Texas premium rates increased.” They didn’t inform me of any increase, but they sure told me every day that I was getting some money back because of the pandemic. I’m just suddenly being charged nearly twice the amount as before, and not what I was originally quoted. And they do not answer emails either. I emailed and at least 3 days later, no response whatsoever. I had to call and sit on hold.
Recently, I landed a new job, and had to move. After trying repeatedly to contact someone to let them know I've moved and failing countless times due to hangups and multiple hour wait times, I gave up. Eventually, I felt it was time to upgrade and bought a new truck. After signing the papers, I attempted yet again, for HOURS, to contact someone and get my new truck onto my current policy and switched to my new state. After being HUNG UP ON AND TRANSFERRED TO THE WRONG DEPARTMENT REPEATEDLY FOR 4 HOURS, I gave up and went with a different company on a family member's plan. However, that meant that I couldn't even drive my brand new truck home for the first time, my family member had to do it.
Allstate ruined the new car experience for me, and I will never forget it. Their app is monumentally dropping the ball, and customer relations is the worst it's been that I can remember, and I've been with them for 17 years. I will actively be seeking a new insurance company. There is ZERO chance they can compete, their rates are sky high, and their customer service is trash. Thank you, Allstate, for completely ruining what would have otherwise been a very happy experience for a 17 year customer. Allstate is happy to get you in, but once you're on the ticket, they completely forget about you. Do yourselves a huge favor and go with a smaller local company that is happier to have you.
Yesterday my mother (65) had a flat tire (w/no spare new cars) in Los Angeles, California; Due to her job, she needed a vehicle, so we swapped cars. I waited for 3 hours for a tow. I was not upset, and the car was taking to my apt since shops were closed at the hour they arrived. Today I called to have the vehicle now towed to a shop. The wait was 96mins when I called 115mins; your REP stated that the tow company canceled. I spoke to the rep and told him I’m upset, and what bothers me, even more, is that my mom would have had to deal with this; the closest tow is 120 mins away. So now Allstate has made me wait 8 hours for a two in two days.
I asked to speak with the Supervisor (Axel **) and asked for some sort of compensation for the inconvenience voucher 10/15% off etc. He stated that you guy don’t own the tow companies and their human Allstate calls the company, and the service ends them. I thought it was roadside Assistance, and how in the second largest city number one with cars, the wait is so long? He said, "We use 40 service providers." I asked if he could follow up to ensure there was not a closer truck and that all companies we're called. He stated his agent took care of it. I asked again, "So you don’t feel the need to follow up to check." He said no.
I want to know Where is the accountability for a customer if your agents think they are only in the service of Connecting customer to provider. It makes sense why I don’t feel like I received roadside assistance. It should be a roadside connection. Furthermore, if your wait is hours in Los Angeles with 40, when do you as a company, decide to expand the providers? Ref **
I've been with Allstate for more than 30 years and what happened this week has me looking for another insurance company. While at a stop sign, I got rear-ended in May, clearly the other driver (insured by Travelers) was at fault. He even offered to pay me out of pocket for the damages. When they (Allstate and Travelers) took his statement, he lied and said I backed into him. So Travelers denied the claim and it went to arbitration, where they ruled against me. We're living in a world where the victims have become the perpetrators. Anyway, Allstate didn't fight for me and that was the ultimate slap in the face. I'm now looking for a new insurance company and thinking about going with Travelers. I mean if they can get their client off the hook when he was clearly at fault (albeit in an unethical way), that sounds like an insurance company that will have your back (or rear bumper).
One is rewarded for careful driving, some refunds were given for coronavirus 19. They also have a program to receive points, and use the point for discount or even some free items. Also one can use the points for bidding on gift certificates.
Been with them forever. The prices is very very expensive. I just recently changed my plan. It is good with Allstate. It just the prices are a bit higher than other. The services are great and friendly. But due to financial issues I have to change my plan to other agent.
My agent is excellent and I would highly recommend him. What disturbs me is that Allstate only gave us a 15% discount for the period that Americans drove very little due to the coronavirus. A few other insurance companies gave a 25% discount. A few years ago I had a fender bender and Allstate was there 100%. Their service was excellent.
I've had AllState Truck Insurance for three years now and I haven't had a problem yet. They respond to any questions or concerns I have within 24 hours of contacting them. The coverage for the price is the Best out there, I know I looked. I have Full Coverage with towing etc. for the price I'd pay elsewhere for PLPD. Honestly they offer the best for the least amount of money. Reputable and Reliable. I recommend AllState Insurance for All your insurance needs.
I had Allstate Auto Insurance for 26 years. I bundled around 2002 with homeowners. In Pennsylvania, if you miss a payment, they send you a "cancellation" bill the next month. As long as you pay both months, you're still covered. I have ALWAYS paid every other month, never a problem, for 26 years. My 6 month policy was paid in full and ended July 19, 2020. My new 6 month policy is from July 19, 2020 until January 19, 2021. My new policy was $207.00 for 6 months. A rate I earned for being accident free for my entire 36 years if driving, 26 with this company. I received a bill saying 21.00 is due by July 19. Because I always pay the second month I paid no attention to it, no big deal.
I go on allstate website 7-28-20 and noticed my policy is cancelled. Hmm. I tried to pay because allstate gives you a 9 day grace period to pay, 7-28 is in that window. It wouldn't let me pay it, it was cancelled. I called several people in the middle of the night, nobody could help me, they weren't agents. Next day, I called my agent. He said, allstate has a new policy that started in April. Upon renewal, if no payment is received, you got cancelled. Also the grace period was changed from 9 days to 7 days. I received NO notification about this change. My agent said he tried to call everyone recently about the change, however, no written notification at all and he knew since April.
Agent says I can't get reinstated, I have to join basically as a risk at $869.00 for 6 months. $869.00 vs $207.00 which I earned. Today is 7-29-20. Only 10 days after a $21.00 payment was missed, not a cancellation payment and I don't have insurance. Thanks Allstate for doing this to a 26 year customer, with such impeccable timing during a pandemic. DIDNT GET THIS INSURANCE COMPANY. Anyone can get in touch with me and I will show you proof as to what I'm saying. HORRIBLE!
Just change to Allstate. Haven't had to file anything yet. Had State Farm, didn't like my agent but they wouldn't let me change even though I had insurance with them for over 10 years, so I changed companies.
A report of Comprehensive damage was reported to Allstate in '16. I used a repair shop in the Allstate network for the repairs. Apparently Allstate warranties the work for the lifetime of the vehicle when you use their preferred repair shops. I didn't know this, until this year. Shortly after the work was done (months) I started to notice the paint was peeling above the wheel well on the bumper exposing the surface underneath. I immediately suspected a bad paint job as I've had plenty of experience w/ auto body work done on cars but had never seen the paint flake off like that. But I gave the benefit of the doubt to what is a *Recommended by Allstate* body shop.
By April of 2019 I could no longer put off that something was wrong. After parking in a downtown parking garage, I did my requisite 'check' to ensure I was parked correctly in order to avoid door dings. While doing so, I observed that I was touching a barrier situated at the lower front of my car which keeps customers from driving right over the ramp. Simultaneously I noticed that the paint was blistering on the upper portion of the bumper. I touched it and an entire area of paint collapsed beneath my finger. At that point there was no question I had a bad paint job. I was looking at an entire areas of shiny black surface.
Still not realizing there was any warranty on the repair, I contacted the Allstate agent to let him know what happened (barrier touch on lower right of bumper and paint cracked and fell off on upper right bumper upon me touching it) that I had reason to believe the Auto Body Shop had deliberately not applied primer to my bumper. The agent told me he would contact the body shop and get back to me. He never did. During the period between 4/2019 and 6/2020, I realized there was a problem with the paint on the hood. It looked like something had been applied to it that eventually ate away at the point. It didn't look recent at all, so I reasonably surmised it was associated w/the vandalism associated w/ the previous '16 claim. Upon reporting, I told the Allstate rep I wasn't sure of the date but believed it happened sometime between 2015 -2016 and corresponded w/ the previous vandalism caused by a neighbor.
Initially, in order to deny the claim, the Adjuster assigned stated that the damage which he believed to be the result of chipped paint was evident in pictures from the '16 claim. He continued to claim this during and after a video session w/ myself, him, and an auto body shop who was providing another assessment and estimate. The Adjuster was shown actually chipped paint on the hood and other parts of the car that looked nothing like the damage under consideration. The auto body shop told the Adjuster directly that the damage looked like something had been applied to the hood, not wearing of top coat from chipping as he was claiming.
Even with that direct professional assessment, the Adjuster continued to insist the damage to the hood was due to chipping. At this point I attempted to contact a supervisor. All I got was out of office messages. I called back when the supervisors were in office according to the Out of Office message and still got the same message. Finally, I reached a supervisor who picked up right where the Adjuster had left off. When she learned that the autobody shop told the Adjuster that the damage looked consistent w/ what I claimed, she then reversed the denial and told me it was being approved under a new claim dated 8/1/18.
When I tried to explain (for the umpteenth time) that the problem w/ the hood happened in the same instance as the damage to the bumper, and that the Adjuster claimed repeatedly to myself and the Auto Body shop that he could see damage to the hood in the photos associated w/the '16 claim, the supervisor just disregarded what he said and declared there was no evidence of damage in '16 (the time of the original vandalism claim) in order to fix the date of loss at 8/1/18 (Allstate's date) and declare it a new claim in order to sack me w/ a $250 deductible (more than 1/3 of the cost to fix it). I expressed to the supervisor that what she was saying doesn't fit the evidence, but she kept insisting on new damage in a 'take it or leave it' manner. Currently, Allstate is claiming I declined the offer. That never happened.
Next the supervisor told me that I would have to go back to the body shop that did the work so they could provide an estimate. I incredulously asked her what she thought they were going to say about their own faulty workmanship. I then asked why she was insisting I go there when I had already gone to another Allstate preferred shop, plus one of my choice for an estimate. The supervisor looked at the photos and said she could see that the biggest area of missing paint on the bumper was "shiny" indicating the lack of primer (as suggested by the independent body shop), and that she would talk to 'them' (presumably their preferred shop that did the faulty work) and get back to me.
After 24 hours of dead silence and realizing a long Holiday weekend (4th of July) was looming, I reached out to the supervisor and encountered her voicemail which said she would return calls by 3 PM that day. I never got a call. Instead, after 5 PM that day (July 2, 2020) I got an email in which Allstate disavowed every narrative up to that point (multiple narratives to fit their decision to deny the claim) to a brand new narrative which was constructed to explain away all evidence that pointed to the bad paint job (and ignored the assessment of the independent body shop); and instead claimed that all visible paint blistering and peeling was the result of collision. So, according to Allstate, in April 2019 I had a “collision” in a parking garage where there was apparently rain coming down. This “collision caused “bowing” which instantly caused blistering and peeling of the paint that cracked and fell off when I touched it.
Know your rights: Allstate insisted I take the car back to their preferred shop who caused the problem. After explaining in part why I didn't want to go back there, I agreed to take the car to another Allstate preferred shop, but saw similar ‘indicators’ to the original shop that made me concerned I might have a similar experience. It wasn't until after this that I finally figured out I had the right to select and get estimates from my own choice of shop. The short of it is, that these Allstate Reps worked diligently to make the evidence fit their conclusions in order to deny the warranty coverage. And never assume because a company has a recognizable industry name that they’re trustworthy and ethical.
I have been a customer of Allstate for over 30 years. My agent Jordie ** and Assistant Dee makes sure I have the best coverage. When I had an accident, the claim was processed quickly. Agents are friendly and professional.
I have quite a few different coverages with All State, including that for my home. I'm a long time customer and have always been satisfied. I receive very good customer service, care, efficiency, pricing and coverage features. I've recommended them to many of my friends and family. This is a case of "truth in advertising" .... you really are "In good hands" with Allstate!
Auto insurance is a package deal. It's not just the company alone that completes the package. I have always believed, price is not the only factor when choosing a insurance company. I was with Farmers for 19 years and always told my agent, "If it was not for you, I would dump Farmers." My agent was great, but the rates and customer service were terrible. I try to be loyal whenever I can. Well after my agent retired, I started shopping around and found an Allstate agent who introduced me to a whole new world in insurance needs. Not only were his rates better than Farmers, but after 6 years, my rates are still a lot less than my last Farmers rates. Allstate's customer service has been great, their products meet all my need requirements, and I love my agent. Trusting your insurance company should be a major deciding factor for everyone. I really do feel, "I am in good hands with Allstate."
I like the COVID rebates. There are a variety of payment options. I have never had a claim so I cannot comment on claims performance. There is a rewards program but I do not like the rewards they offer. The do have a mobile app Drivewise that tracks your mileage and driving habits.
I switched to Allstate because they had good overall rates for my home and autos. I would say that they are very pleasant to work with and very straight forward about their coverage. I don't like 'hidden' things on policies and so far they seem to shoot very straight with you concerning coverage and price.
We have been with Allstate for over 5 yrs and have had only good experiences. The whole agency from owners to support staff care about our needs. We have a home and auto bundle that is better and less expensive than our past insurer. Newly married son is onboard now also!
Good company. Fair price. Internet and telephone access is outstanding. Policy language is clear and easily understood. Company representatives are professional in contact with customers. We have made several recommendations to other of Our friends and family and have received no unfavourable response nor critical comments as a result of Our referrals, as of this time.
Allstate rates are competitive to the national companies but not the local companies. It's hard to cash in on the rewards. It is nice to be able to track if you're a safe driver. But price I would definitely go for a local company over Allstate for the same coverage.
We have been with AllState for over thirty years. Thankfully we have used their services a few times... for minor accidents that were not caused by us! They have been quick and professional. As far as their coverage goes AllState seems to be pretty much the same as others... Services for coverage is not cheap...
Allstate is good, they offer good prices, but still hard to get hold of them like all the other insurances except for Hocheim Prairie.
This may not be the most comprehensive review of Allstate but, I figured I would share my experience in the off chance that this happens to someone else. I have a point on my driving record which in turn greatly affects my yearly premium. My current insurance policy was getting a bit out of control as they raised my rates during COVID 19. I was unable to keep up so I figured I'd shop around. Allstate seemed like a good fit so I signed with them yesterday. However, my old insurance agent (who is terrific by the way) called me in a panic. I want to note that she is the only reason I've stayed with my old insurance company for so long.
Anyway, she was incredibly concerned with the rate that Allstate quoted me. Allstate's way of getting around my "bad" driving record, was to put my Mother on the policy as a co-operator? I'm not sure if that is the correct wording but, it's something to that effect. To put it simply, her record is perfect and mine is considered less than. After speaking to my old agent, I felt uncomfortable and so did my Mother. I called the Allstate agent to cancel the policy as I had not yet been charged a single dime and the effective date to start the policy wasn't for another 2 weeks out. Sounds simple enough, right? WRONG.
The agent gave me the runaround, bashed, and insulted my old insurance agent, and even tried to get me to take my Mother off the policy and put someone else on. If my MOTHER is uncomfortable being on the policy, why on Earth would I put someone else on?? Long story short, he tried to threaten me with a "cancelation" fee which is complete and utter crap since the policy was still pending. No exact numbers were ever given as to how much this "fee" would cost so I knew it was ultimately a scare tactic. I must also note, my old insurance company would not cancel my policy unless I gave written consent. So to say that the ball was in my court was an understatement.
After an argument ensued (totally unprofessional Allstate) I called Corporate. Well, I got the same exact treatment with a bit more yelling involved. This person flat out told me, in a condescending tone, "Is he saving you money? If he's saving you money then I don't see what the problem is. Put someone else on the policy and take your Mom off." I'm sorry, WHAT? That's not the point. If I want to be taken off of a policy that hasn't even gone through yet, while this agent is threatening me with imaginary numbers, I HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO THAT.
It's clear that Allstate protects them and theirs only. They don't give a flying **** about you and yours. I have in writing my request to cancel this scam of a policy and will hear back in a few days, apparently. Word of advice to anyone shopping around for car insurance, if you have a point on your driving record, DO NOT SIGN WITH ALLSTATE. It's too good to be true. Learn from my mistakes and always read the fine print.
Allstate billed me for a tow for more than the tow company who also charged me. When I asked for them to refund the charge, they said they cannot and I must go through the tow company. I sent them the receipt for my tow in which the tow company also demanded that I cannot receive the towed item until I pay them directly. I asked Allstate for their copy of the billing, they responded that they cannot share the bill with me because they never received a bill. Hung up on me and refusing to refund duplicate charges.
Please go to "**" to see my experience in detail and share your experience with Allstate to help others make a better decision. After paying my premium for 18 years, for the first time I needed allstate to restore my home after wind damaged my siding. They asked me to get them an estimate because they didn't want to send anyone in person. My contractor estimated $11k which I thought was reasonable but Allstate gave me $1,154 after my deductible of $1k.
I had a crack in my windshield because of the model I was told by their glass claim department that I had to go through a dealership. First the dealership had to get approval that took almost two days then when installed I’ve been getting the run around different people different instructions, can’t call them need to send an email and they will call back within 48 hours. I am now going on a week without a car and still waiting for phone calls. I spent 45 years in the insurance business and this company has brought my anxiety and frustrations to a new level. Avoid Allstate at all cost.
There is no way for me to contact Allstate directly. My local agent doesn't respond to emails and doesn't answer the phone or return my calls. When I call Allstate corporate, my call is transferred back to the local agent. The phone app isn't working and transfers offers a phone number with an unhelpful automated response. What would I do if I had an accident? I was left no choice but to cancel my insurance and sign up with another company. The silver lining for me was that my new insurance company is higher-rated, offered better coverage, added renter's insurance, all for a MUCH lower premium.
Allstate is not a cheap insurance. I am in my mid 50's, single, head of household and drive a mini-van in the suburbs. Allstate intermittently raised my rates. I was registered for Auto-pay. In Jan, the payment went through fine. In Feb the payment denied. In March the policy was canceled. I think I was signed up for paperless, so I didn't receive the usual mail. I had not been checking my email. After hours of researching through Allstate and my bank, it turns out Allstate did NOT enter my address correctly as they had in Jan. The bank did a "hard decline" and rejected payment. I called Allstate back and explained the issue, asked if they would re-instate my insurance. They declined - They would of course write me another policy. I will not use this company again - they do not hold themselves accountable. -
I've had my home and auto insurance with Allstate for a year now. I opted in for their Drivewise, track your driving and get a discount, program from day one. To date I have spoken with my agent at least 7 times about issues with this program. It only tracks my driving occasionally...maybe 3 times/wk...and the rebate requires tracking of at least 50 trips, over 20 miles per hour, in each 6 month period. So, how am I going to get the rebate if it does not track me when I drive?? My last rebate was due mid March 2020, and today is mid May 2020...still no $$.
We have been Allstate customers for years, probably over 10 years or more, and we’re switching. While we’ve had a few accident claims due to our teenage drivers- we’ve definitely paid for this through increased premiums. God forbid that you are in no fault accident because they are no help. We now have a second, no-fault accident where we are made to pay a deductible and hope to get it back later. The first one was decided against us because the other driver simply asserted that they weren’t at fault. This time my son was literally stopped at a light and was rear-ended, and because the other driver said it wasn’t his fault, Allstate says that we have to cover the deductible in order to get our vehicle from the shop. There’s a police report and the other driver was driving dangerously. So good luck to all of you that stay with them; better save that money for your next deductible!
First of all does anyone ever work in the office? No one ever answers the phone and the calls always go to voicemail. I leave messages and no one returns the call. Good thing I wasn't calling for an insurance claim. What a piece of crap agency. I live in the Round Rock area where Mitchell ** is suppose to be in charge of operations. I guess he's too busy just collecting everyone's money but he'll never get another dime from me..#swindlers #terrible customer service #insurance is a scam.
Warning for Texans...initial quotes look really great, but: 1) they don't discount for Defensive Driving certification. 2) On Auto they won't write a 12 month policy. Even though I was assured that they rarely raise rates, I believe this leaves the door wide open. 3) On Homeowners-the rate quoted will change (higher) if you have this insurance included in your monthly mortgage payment. They don't want to bill your mortgage company!!!!???? Never encountered this with any other insurance company. 4) I don't allow any company to auto-deduct from my bank account. Too many companies gave been hacked into. If you don't allow this, the quotes rate goes up again. I PASSED.
I was involved in an accident in the month of Feb. and I was not at fault. Allstate did not send someone to pick up my car. I literal had to drive my totaled vehicle to the shop that they recommended. Once there they didn’t even want to take the car. It took Allstate 2 weeks to even inspect my vehicle. Once my vehicle was totaled, I was told that I need to sign over the power of attorney for the vehicle. I did not receive that form in the mail until almost a month after the accident in March. Once I signed the form and sent it back, I was told that they were issuing payment to Capital One. I just received a letter from capital one stating that Allstate has not sent none of the information Over to finalize the payment. I’ve been getting the run around through the entire process.
Here I am at the end of April almost 3 months later and nothing has been done. I can’t get my claim adjuster to answer the phone. I am still expected to make payments on a vehicle that is totaled. Due to me needing a form of transportation, I had to go out and buy another vehicle before the process was completed because Allstate is slow. So now the totaled vehicle is sitting on my credit showing 2 months behind because Allstate won’t do their job and close out the claim. No one are giving me any answers and they keep sending me to another department. Allstate is slow and this has been the worst experience with an insurance company. P.S. I have 2 accounts with Allstate for home insurance and vehicle insurance. I was not at fault. The other insurance company has already agreed to reimburse Allstate of all expenses and they are still dragging their feet. I’m so frustrated.
The person who hit my husband's car had Allstate, so they covered the repairs and rental car, supposedly. Everything was going fine until we received a call from them around early/mid Feb saying the car sat in the shop for the previous week, so they wouldn't cover the rental for that week.... great to know that we would have to pay for it AFTER the fact.
I have been trying to connect the shop and the Allstate rental department for a while now to get everything sorted out. They are still saying they haven't heard anything from the shop regarding an explanation for that time period. I GAVE THEM the shop's number. I gave the shop THEIR NUMBER, just in case anyone lost contact info. WHAT ELSE CAN I POSSIBLY DO?! I have asked about this 4 or 5 times already, and Allstate still gives me the same answer. My husband was stopped at a stop sign when this lady's car skidded into his, and thanks to the apathy of Allstate, now we get to pay $200 for it, not to mention the hours of aggravation and headache. I'm going to keep fighting it, but it looks like we are going to get stuck with it.
We were customers of Allstate for about 10 years. I had no idea I was paying over $1,000 annually too much for their insurance. The customer service at the local office was terrible. They never returned calls and when they did answer the phone, which was rare, the woman working was clueless. She had no idea about the policy for new drivers. I left a message that we wanted to cancel our insurance and she never returned my call. Of course, now I received a statement about them sending the $30 to collections.
We have new insurance, where we have added a new driver and have more coverage than with Allstate, and an extra home policy and we are saving over $1,000. DO NOT consider Allstate unless you don't mind paying more money, getting useless customer service....you are not in good hands with Allstate. If you are a customer and call the toll-free number, click the option to buy insurance...otherwise they will not let you talk to someone if you just have a question. I found this out by calling 5 different times to get a real person, then it directed to some unknown voicemail box. I've never been so disappointed with an insurance company.
You may grow a full beard by the time they pick up the phone. Or maybe they don't update their phone line to accommodate closed hours. Either way, it's not such a sophisticated system of portraying respect.
About a year ago I decided to try out different insurance. Sorta break away from Geico. And that was a mistake just to begin with, a local agent for Allstate messed up an initial set up paperwork then his boss bombarded my emails with more insurance options to buy. Repeated stop soliciting request. Did not work. They said it is system generated messages, so that went on for a while. Then about 6 months in with Allstate they jacked my premiums without any tickets or accidents. Then another 6 months later they jacked them again and when asked why they have this insurance language talk lined up that nobody but them could understand and make your IQ drop to undesirable levels, so I flicked them a virtual bird and switched back to Geico and swear to Almighty will never go back to Allstate.
August 2019, I was involved in an accident with another Allstate driver (yes I'm an insured). Though not my fault, the other driver failed to stop for 3 traffic signals, crossed 3 lanes of oncoming traffic, and additional 3 lanes of traffic transversely behind me, cut in front of me, and stopped. How could that be my fault... Allstate, states it's not affecting my premiums, so they are not worried about it. I'm a DOT driver, an at fault accident keeps me from driving company vehicles. How I make my income, how I pay Allstate.... After 25 years with them I think it's time for me to take my policies elsewhere.
I have maintained home owners with Allstate for 12 years. I added auto 3 years ago. There has been an ongoing problem with mail delivery at my agent's address. He claims he was not receiving my payments, although I can prove delivery. Needless to say, my policy was terminated. My agent failed to contact me in any other way than snail mail. I had been traveling extensively at the time so did not receive notification of cancellation. Meanwhile, I continued sending electronic checks to the Allstate office. After splitting time between two states for eight years, I am in the process of relocating permanently to NY state. If my agent had truly cared, he would have notified me of NY state law, but he did not. He would have noticed that something was wrong and called, emailed or texted, but he did not.
Instead of an email wishing me a happy birthday, an email stating something like “your policy has been terminated. According to NY state law, You have 90 days to purchase new auto insurance to avoid suspension of your license and registration.” Would have been so helpful. No such email was sent. Surprise! My license has been suspended, I am uninsurable and will not be able to drive for 3 months. I definitely was NOT in good hands with Allstate. And how am I going to make my cross country move now? Thanks a lot Lawrence **!
I was with Allstate Auto Insur. for 8 years - not even a ticket. I had a minor accident in which it was clearly both parties at fault, but they claimed it was my fault because I was passing on the right side of the other car which was stopped in a small area in front of a store in a strip mall. He kept putting on his brakes, on/off, on/off - so then as I passed he opened his door into my right side smashing it. They found my car to be unsalvagable, but still tried to buy it from me. Paid the other guy off. Raised my rates by $500 causing me to find another company. When I inquired about first time accident they said that was a different plan than what I had and also they didn't have it in California. Not something they mention on TV. What a bunch of crooks!!!
I purchased my brand new 2016 Chevy Colorado in Nov/2016. I also purchased the Allstate Car Care package, one of the services I purchased was the “Paint and Fabric defense”. It is now March 2020 and this is my first time needing to use this protection since my purchased date in 2016, I called Allstate Car Care customer service to see the complete process of getting work completed for my interior and exterior. I spoke with one representative that stated all I need to do is find a shop and have the shop contact customer care and start the claim. I also asked if there were any preferred shops they recommend near my location and I was advised that they didn’t have a list and I can take my truck anywhere I would preferrer.
Once I decided on a shop (Detailing Pros) the owner proceeded to following the instructions on filing a claim. The owner of Detailing Pros called Allstate Car Care customer service and filed the claim with the estimated price to complete, as recommended. He was later advised by a representative (unknown name but the email address is **) that he needs to send pictures of the interior and exterior and a picture of an small area of that work completed. The owner sent pictures of both before and after pictures of the small area of the interior and exterior he completed to the email address listed above. After the pictures were sent he was later advised by another representative (unknown name but email address is **) that an inspector is required to come out to the shop to inspect the truck.
Two small areas of work has been completed on my truck which I have had to pay the detailing shop out of pocket since he has completed this work and this claim is still pending 24 hours now, awaiting a inspection which can take another 24-48 hours. I proceeded to call Allstate Car Car customer service with answers as to why did the shop had to send pictures of the issues with interior and exterior prior to the inspector coming out initially. I was advised by (**) that this is standard procedure. None of this information was mention from the first initial call nor email.
I have now paid out of pocket for work completed by services purchased and covered in my Car Care package. I’m not understanding why Allstate would required work to be done even a small area to be completed without paying for the small areas prior from sending out an inspector. This has been a frustrating and high inconvenience on my end and the shop. I attempted to speak with a manager and per (**). He is unavailable to take my call right away, I advised I would wait on hold and she stated he will have to call me tomorrow morning around 10:00am. The customer service was unsatisfactory and I’ve paid for additional services that overall is not worth the hassle and inconvenience on the customer and shop.
Please avoid yourself a headache, stay away from this insurance company. To submit a claim it seems that they do all they can, not to pay the damages done to you by their clients! And they give you repairs estimates as if what you were driving was a bicycle. Very inconsiderate and slow to respond too!
I had Allstate for a few years for 2 cars and my home. A friend borrowed my car and totaled it a year ago. It was a 2009 Ford Fusion in mint condition. Because the airbags deployed, they declared the car a total loss. They were going to cut me a check without seeing the car. I insisted they send an adjuster out. I got the high bluebook for my car. My insurance went up by over $200 a month. They told me basically, that I was paying them back for what they paid me. Why have insurance if you can't use it?
My husband was making a left hand turn on a green left arrow and had to stop suddenly because a car in opposing traffic lane ran a red light and kept going. The car behind my husband was also turning left, but following way too closely, probably to ensure he made the turn before arrow changed. The police report states that the acting of “striking” our vehicle was caused by the other driver “following too close”. We thought, no big deal. Allstate will pay for the repair. WRONG I was literally just told that “the officer wasn’t present” and that at fault as determined by police is a different set of criteria than at fault by their company! I was told to file with our own insurance and if they choose to go to arbitration they will. Meanwhile, we are out our deductible and Allstate pays nothing! You are in good hands apparently unless you are hit by one of their customers, even if that customer is at fault, in that case you are out of luck AND money!
This company is a joke. Their insured hit me and they denied the claim. Their insured admitted there was an accident and the photos made it clear it was her fault. There was ZERO communication. I made all contact. Do not use this lousy company.
I bought a car insurance policy from Allstate Insurance on 8/7/18 through a local agent. On 9/7/18, they refunded me the previous months money (~$225), and cancelled my policy retroactively back to 8/7/18 (without my knowledge or consent), allowing me to drive for 10 days uninsured. I discovered this on 9/17/18, and immediately got insurance with Progressive. I then called Allstate to ask them what happened, all they could say was that they made an "error". They then restarted my policy (again without my permission- I had already bought insurance with Progressive so obviously I wouldn't restart my policy with Allstate).
They now say my policy was cancelled on 9/21/18, which wouldn't make sense, because it was cancelled on 9/7/18, and I got new insurance 10 days later (the 10 days that Allstate left me uninsured without my knowledge) on 9/17/18. They are now attempting to collect $294.50 from me, and have started a collection action against me 15 months after the fact. I don't believe I owe them this money, especially since if I hadn't called to let them know about the error, they would never have known and never would have restarted my policy against my wishes, and I never would have gotten a bill for it. I regret letting them know of their error, as now they are using it as leverage to extort me under threats of collections.
I had a car stolen that had my wallet in it and my watch. All 3 items were covered under both by full coverage auto and my homeowner's policies. From day 1 they gave me the run around. They will take your money but as soon as you submit a claim they will deny payment. I had no idea they did this until after I made a claim. I never did receive anything. I wrote it as a total loss. I got rid of Allstate the same week. My policy now is cheaper than allstate's was. They're **, scumbags, don’t trust them. That’s all I can say. Good luck.
Sucks. Never ever ever buy Allstate insurance. This company is a collection of liars and cheaters. Accident: rear-ended by allstate client. Took my car to body shop; allstate says a rental is covered. Allstate authorizes economy and tells me "Ask Enterprise for a free upgrade since you are having mid-size fixed". Liars. Took 15 days to fix; allstate says "We are only paying for 8 days". This was two days after the 8days. Cheaters. "I was responsible". Liars. Their client hit me! Enterprise says "Allstate won't pay any more". I said "Your contract is with allstate; you are not authorized to charge my card". If you are working for allstate; you are the devil! You are in good-hands... Devil's hands with allstate. Allstate is the worst company on Earth! The insurance board should investigate their unethical business practices and bar allstate from ever doing business in the U.S. and the world. Genevieve ** may you rot in hell.
Tried to contact a Allstate agent after their insured ran into me while I was stopped at a stop sign. No I was not re- ended. It was snowing. The driver was driving too fast. Tried to avoid a accident that happened in front of me, hit one vehicle and ran into my vehicle. It’s been two weeks, plus. My insurance gave the ok to start repairs. My issue is I do not have a reliable vehicle. I was informed by one of the insurance companies of one of the 5 vehicles with contact info for Allstate, the insurance for the vehicle that hit me. After 3 days of leaving messages, contact was made to a very rude claims agent. Who has not even bothered to look at the reports and showed no intention of doing so in a timely manner so they can ok a rental for us to use while our vehicle is being repaired.
Recently was in an accident with an Allstate Insured in October of 2019 and I must say still is a horrible ongoing experience! It is January almost February of 2020 and the adjuster still hasn't properly investigated the claim. Claiming my fiance and I are 85% responsible. Their policy holder was trying to make a right turn from a left turning lane and hit into our vehicle which was going straight in the right lane! And there's a police report. Worst insurance company to deal with.
My husband had a wreck a few years ago our insurance was State Farm. The other vehicle who rear ended my husband's car totaling it was Allstate. We were impressed more with their insurance than our own. Well, we were with State Farm for more than 20 years but, paying 300.00 almost 400.00 a month with great driving records. We stayed thinking was just a off case. Well we were hit with wind and hail (living in Texas). Needed a new roof. Through the 16 plus years here 1st roof replacement. We did all our own repairs before now. This was a replacement. State Farm is not as it seemed again.
After 20 years we were paying through the roof. So, called a lot of companies for quotes including Allstate. We decided on another company. When Allstate called I tried to informed them (meaning: she kept talking over me) we had chosen to go with another company. I tried to thank her for their time (still talking over me) but we were picking the other company because it was over 100.00 cheaper (over 200.00 cheaper a month than State Farm). I again tried to tell her if we weren't happy that.... She hung up on me. I will finish sentence here though. Ma'am if we're not happy with new provider we would be calling them. The reason we choose AAA was better policy numbers and cost. Thank you for you time on this matter.
Well now we are getting multiple calls a day hang up calls from their number. No messages left. Bombardments of our mailbox. They hit our credit bureaus for information more than one. BTW we have great credit so, lenders say. But, so Allstate knows we will NEVER go with their company now. They have been unprofessional, harassing, childish, bullying, & let's not forget rude. I don't like writing bad reviews but, I think it is important to bring their dark behavior into the light and also, to finish my sentence of thanks. They say they record each call so, I wonder why they are not handling this behavior. Is it company policy at work or something else? Cannot be just a bad day for their employees. It's been going on for a few days now. So is the reason for the review. Sorry, thought you would like a insight on this unprofessional behavior. Like mom used to say BUYER BEWARE! Well again have a Blessed day.
I gave it 1 star because its's the lowest option and that's still too much much!! Allstate DOES NOT PAY their claims.. I was hit by one of their policyholders and they bullied me the whole time I spoke to them and sent a letter saying there was no proof that their policyholder was responsible, so they denied the claim. I did not call the police when it happened, but even people with police records have been denied. The own policyholder told me his car had issues stopping sometimes and that was the reason he rarely drove it. He gave me his insurance card and a pic of his driver's license ALLSTATE IS NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL!!! BEWARE.. Get a lawyer, that's my advice to anyone that gets hit by an Allstate policyholder.
I have been with the Allstate company for over 15 years now without any claims, both home and auto. Over the Holiday we got into an accident. I was told by my claim contact person that we can take our vehicle anywhere to get it repaired. Now, after the vehicle is finally repaired Allstate refused to satisfy the repair cost, because the shop we chose, their labor rate is more expensive than the shops they normally do business with. Now, we left with $800.00 out of pocket. This was unacceptable! Allstate just want to take your hard earn money, but will not stand by you when you need them. Stay away from this company.
Horrible insurance company. Would not pay their claims, even if accident report shows their insured being at fault. 0 stars. Don't ever get insured with this company. It's not a first claim is handled like that. They don't pay their claims.
My brand new car was rear ended by a gentleman who did not have the ability to stop his car due to his impairments with Parkinson's disease. Allstate requested substantiated market data regarding diminution in value on the vehicle. This was accomplished via two creditable sources. In spite of evidence for the loss amount, Allstate stated "our compromise offer of $2000 is firm, no further offers of settlement will be voluntarily forthcoming." Their offer is less than half of the proven loss value. I required physical therapy which Allstate paid all but $174.92.
Medicare Consent release form was completed, however no payment was paid for my injury/treatment. Numerous contacts have been made for fair and reasonable resolution since the accident took place on June 21, 2018. Agents do not reply to any avenues of my communications. I am a nurse by profession. This unfortunate gentleman who rear ended me should not have been driving. Allstate failed to protect him from potential serious harm and all other travelers were at risk. "Allstate...You're in good hands" does not apply in this scenario.
Allstate client rear ended my daughter and totaled the nice little older ranger I bought 14 weeks earlier, took 9 days to even hear back from them, sent an adjuster over unannounced when nobody was around, never offered a rental car, and then had a “total loss rep” call me and tell me they were gonna only pay about $1300 less than what I just paid for, and if I didn’t like it take it up with my insurance company. Between CCC One and the total loss dept they should be investigated for the criminals they are. I intend to pursue this matter as far as I need to, up to them, it’s a matter of principle not money now.
We canceled our policy on Dec.17,2019. On December 31, 2019 Allstate took almost $800 out of our account after a document was posted on our online account that our EZP Payment for the billing period was suspended. I have proof of the documents. They took almost the entire paycheck without permission and rent is due. Who does that? So Called them and said they need written documentation for dispute and it would have to be investigated after being reviewed and could take 10 business days. WTH!!! You’re wrong ALLSTATE!!! Not in good hands! So keep away!
About three weeks ago I hit a deer. I called the insurance company to get things going. After a week me or the body shop hadn’t heard from them. After talking to my agent they called. Several days later someone came to see the car. Still haven’t seen or heard from Allstate. They aren’t what they advertise on tv. They take your money but are slow to give you service. Still waiting on something from Allstate. Even the auto body shop is waiting to get started but haven’t heard back from them yet.
I started with as minimal coverage as possible, only what was required by my state. This price was decent for me. Over time, the rates gradually increased with each 6 month renewal, without me even changing the policy at all. Finally a few days ago, after my rates sneakily reached $20/month more than when I had started, I cancelled the policy and got a new policy from a company with a better deductible and back down $20/month. I had sent an e-mail with the notice to cancel the Allstate policy on the 13th, and then a few minutes later I got a response e-mail stating that my policy was cancelled, effective on the 13th. Good! Until they sent me a bill stating that I still owe an extra day of coverage and that my policy had been cancelled on the 14th! Guess they had to get me one last little bit for one last time. I definitely would not recommend Allstate to anyone. Not for any reason.
The claims adjuster, Summer ** did not call once, e-mail, text or send me any information regarding my claim. I was told to get the work done, but once it was complete the claim was denied. The claims adjuster finally responded to my email and she said the other driver and I are are saying word against word. If that was the case then the claim should have been closed when I filed it, because that is clearly stated in the police report that I submitted. The other driver said in front of the officer she did not know what happened. So how is that word against word, it's more like I know what happened and I told the officer and the other person was distracted. The other person hit my car and I should not have to pay for her error. This person show no professional and zero customer service.
On Sept 16, 2019, I got hit by an Allstate insured when they illegally parked next to me moving into their new apartment. They were there for hours damaging my entire right side because they opened their doors while unloading babies, kids, furnishings, household goods, etc. I have home security pictures, signing sheet for visitor parking, police report and pictures of their vehicle license plates. I called Allstate, they said take it to my repair shop. After sending in claim, they said, they would not guarantee the work, since it's not one of their shops. Then they sent a contract photographer Nov 7. Nov 8 they denied my claim, saying they could not get a hold of the insured. Then they said they needed proof other than police report. I scheduled with one of their Hawaii contracted shops. The claim was sent in and I got emails saying let's get you back on the road. The repair shop scheduled me.
The rental car company confirmed my reservation saying I had to pay even though there was a claim and $29.99 day credit. So which is it? I complained. Allstate said they denied my claim. So which is it? They can't make up their minds. Lame. frustrating, unbelievable. Now they said, send in my proof of claims to a Texas address. Are you kidding me? Now you want me to go around and print out the evidence and send to a PO BOX? Ridiculous. All the while, my claim went to EXPRESS. Liars, sham employees, unprofessional and unacceptable behavior from Good Hands people...All Lies!
When I first got into an accident with one of Allstate's insured drivers, the claims representative whom I spoke with, Eric **, was cordial at first; however, when it actually came to handling who was at-fault, split it up saying 60/40. 60% was the other driver's fault while 40% was mine. This made no sense since it was an obvious accident that was 100% caused by the other driver. Upon disagreeing with Eric and telling him over and over again that it was the other driver's fault, Eric just said the only recourse was arbitration. Not wanting to waste the time, money, and effort going to small-claims court I settled with the money. On top of that, I needed my car repaired immediately. Here is where Eric **'s awful service came in.
When I called his office, he was out. It was around 12:00pm when I called so I figured he was out on lunch. I called back at 1 PM the same day. Still no answer. Again at 2PM same day still no response. At this point, it felt like he was dodging my calls. I had to call more than 5 times to finally have this guy answer the call. When he answered he was very rude and said that the information about payment will be emailed to me. He never sent the email. He never gave me an estimate. He never gave a recommendation on what type of bodyshop I should take my car to. I had to take it a local bodyshop to get a estimate for my car. A week after I took my car to the bodyshop, Eric emailed me giving me a recommended bodyshop. This was only AFTER I made sure that the bodyshop contact Allstate to get an estimate for my car.
One of the WORST experiences I've had with any automobile insurance companies. Absolutely horrible service. The whole process to get a simple estimate for my car took about a month. Eric ** is a horrible claims representative. And if this is the type of person Allstate employs for claims, then I would never consider doing business with Allstate.
When I started my policy, Allstate didn't tell me about the penalty when I cancel it mid-time. I cancelled it when the policy is active and they have charged a lot of hidden fees, penalties. I received a very small refund amount of my unused premium compared to what I have paid during the start of the policy. Very frustrating.
Had an accident, called Allstate to report it, Allstate forwarded the call to the agency, reported the accident to the agency rep, rep claimed it was now taken care of, but rep never entered accident report into the system. The adjuster then found it "odd" I didn't report the accident. Allstate eventually found me at fault for the accident - my car was stationary at a stop sign when someone else hit it. Adam was never available to talk about the issue. After I fired his agency and posted negative reviews, Adam suddenly had time to email, call. Now wherever I write a review, Adam claims I harassed him, and writes that I shouldn't have accidents. Not much a driver can do when not moving to avoid someone else hitting the stationary car. This agent is no good, and overall Allstate is the Bad Hands People.
I was involved in a fender bender caused by another driver. I have been trying to reach my adjuster to get a status update but have not received a callback in over a week. I then proceeded to get his supervisors number and call him with my complaint..he too has not responded. Don't lecture me on how busy adjusters are or that stalling is a common tactic because this isn't the first time this has happened in all my years as an Allstate customer. I literally just need one call with a quick update but I can't even get that. I'm fed up and now have decided to leave a review. My time is just as valuable as anyone else.
I thought I had set up a conventional policy for our two vehicles. Was set up with Milewise instead. Would never have set this up as neither my husband nor myself would ever add a device to our vehicles that tracks anything. They supposedly sent 2 devices out and then charged us out the wazzoo for not having them installed. We never got them. Plus I told our agent we never wanted them to begin with. Not happy at all. Feel cheated and scammed. We have already paid a small fortune since October and have nothing to show for it but the hassle we have been put through.
So I called in a Hail Claim on my home and 2 auto claims Hail Damage. Happened Oct 20 and still don't have a check. Had put on my cc the repairs bill. Sucks Allstate ...Allstate Inspector came out to my home in Weatherford Texas and everyone on block already has a new roof but they tried come out lowball my estimate. Put a check in my mailbox. I Rejected it, sent it back Certified and it's Nov 25 and still no check for repairs! Ludicrous...Don't go with Allstate. Bad move.
My car was hit while parked. My insurance was Allstate. From the time of the first phone call, they made mistakes on everything. Gave incorrect contact information to rental car company. I never received email notifications that there were new documents in my online account. The agent did nothing to help. Their adjuster came up with a ridiculously low estimate, missed damage & lied about it. (Body shop techs saw him take photos of damage he said did not exist). After 6 months with this company, the rates skyrocketed. They did nothing to protect or help me get my car repaired. I canceled the claim & went through the other party's insurance & all was resolved. I canceled my policy. Horrible experience.
I paid for roadside assistance for months and the first time I tried to use it I never got a tow truck. After being told Allstate could not get me a tow truck an hour later, I was asked to get my own tow truck. At the time I had no way to pay for the service. I thought that the reason I had roadside assistance was so I’d never be stranded. Well, it was 20 degrees and stranded is exactly what happened. The next morning I was forced to repair my vehicle in UNO’s Pizzeria parking lot. Allstate could provide no answer as to why this happened. In the end, Allstate only pays $125 for tow and if you don’t have balance you are out of luck. I thought I was paying for roadside assistance to prevent being stranded and that’s exactly what Allstate leads you to believe while they sell the service. (Or lack of service.)
I had Allstate for about twenty years and had no problems with them but now get a letter saying that they're going add a register driver lives in you house. Is not in the policy and one month later they add into our policy and increase our rates and we called them that the person does not live here anymore but nothing gets done and to cancel Allstate they wanted proof from another company and that the boiling point why the hell do I have keep your insurance until I get another insurance. Most insurance just cancel and do not ask questions, Allstate are annoying and demand proof and that I really do not recommend. I just switch to State Farm and they made me happy.
I moved from MA to CA, and rather than transfer my existing policy balance to my new policy, Allstate charged me for 6 months on a new policy, then failed to cancel my old policy. Once they finally cancelled my MA policy, it took over a month for a $412 refund to be issued on the 6-months of insurance I had already paid in MA... that I was no longer using. I was assured for that month while I waited for the refund that my refund would be issued as a check, as the credit card I had initially paid the premiums on was no longer active. I was told that Allstate no longer even had the credit card on file, so the refund would absolutely be issued as a check. Get the refund on 11/12...onto the deactivated credit card. I'm now being told that Allstate does not have the ability to issue refunds to anything except the original payment method, meaning that other customer service representatives told me incorrect information for over a month. In summary:
2) Allstate stores credit card information on your account even after you've asked to have it removed.
3) Allstate customer service representatives either don't know their own policies, or they tell their customers whatever they want to hear without being able to execute on it.
I've cancelled my policy and wouldn't recommend their coverage.
With no prior experience with Allstate, I was recently rear ended by an Allstate customer driving illegally. Allstate’s estimate for the repair was ridiculously low, relying on very used parts. I accepted as I rely on my car for work, and my back up cameras perform so poorly now. I never pursued medical treatment despite a significant back sprain. But most laughable of all, having been without my car for a week, they offered rental car reimbursement of 18/day for 2 days. Someone tell me where you can rent a car in Chicago (or anywhere) for 18/day. I will never be an Allstate customer, and hope I am never again hit by another Allstate customer.
Signed up with one agent, received a call from another agent. Found out the agent we had signed up with had gone out of business and the new agent would not honor the contact. Also we had replaced our roof and had paid out of our own pockets to upgrade the shingles. Allstate said they wouldn't cover the upgraded shingles. As I said worst experience we had even had.
I have been with the company for a few years now with no claims. Over the summer I was a victim of a robbery. Then today without any notice due to me being a victim my rates skyrocket 1200.00 a year! This was unacceptable! Found the same if not better coverage through Liberty Mutual. Was not happy with the lady I spoke with. She acted like it was no big deal.
I had switched my auto insurance from one car to a different car for quite some time (over a year) when i noticed my premiums went way up. I discovered that Allstate went ahead and put my old vehicle back on my account. Then caused my bank account to overdraw. I had to fight with them to get them to remove it then they told me they don't give refunds! I had to fight tooth and nail even with corporate to get my money back. Now they have charged my account even though they received cancellation notice.
I chose to add additional coverage just in case an underinsured driver hit me or my passengers. This is something extra I pay for. I was in an accident, the other driver was cited on scene as it was clearly their fault. I've never put in a claim before this. Due to my serious injuries I will never be able to do my job again, I have no other training, and at my age...very hard to learn a new trade. When putting in a claim since the other driver had the bare minimum, Allstate cheaped out...they don't wanna pay, they are offering a tiny amount of money. After paying for this extra ins all this time, never putting in a claim, I'm pissed at how they treat me. I paid the premiums for this just in case. But in reality it was a waste of money. I don't trust them anymore, and will be looking around when my policy is up.
Lure you in with a low monthly rate and Increase every month, and when you switch to another company Threaten to send you to a Collection Agency, Destroy your Credit, Steal money out of your Bank Account, after you go to Another Company, Stay far Away from these Scammers.. The Jig is Up, If More People Complain, The More Customers they Lose, That's Called Karma, & Deserve to be Sued & Put out of Business, Where all Scammers Belong.
I spoke with Carrie **. regarding a quote for my new car. She took my call over the weekend and went the extra mile to take care of me and my experience. Great person to speak with and definitely showed she cared!
One of Allstate’s insureds backed into our car when it was parked. Liability was clear. The claims adjusters tried to low ball our legitimate and documented repair claim every step of the way. The last part of our claim, two claims adjusters practically called us liars, refused to put the final offer in writing and refused to even send us their names and business contact information in writing. Very strange. I am forced to contact the Calif. Dept. of Insurance to verify their stance is correct. Regardless their adjusters were rude and disrespectful.
Update from tonight's earlier complaint. I looked up exact dates and emails... On May 3, 2019 I contacted my Allstate agent and told her I would not be moving my RV over the next few months, as I was parked in a secure RV lot and did not need any coverage. At this time I requested my full coverage be reduced to just liability and uninsured motorists. Attached is the email where she (GIO) suggested cancelling all my Automobile coverage, as she did not understand simple conversation. I called her to verify that I wanted to keep my Automobile coverage, but reduce it, and drop my RV coverage as I was not going to be traveling.
I have still not moved my RV since the date I requested the downgrade. When I saw my premiums drop and that only "Automobile" coverage was present, I assumed she had done what I requested. It wasn't until today when I talked with an agent in Tucson, AZ where I will be moving and buying a home did I discover that the RV insurance had not been dropped. An RV is NOT an Automobile. I'm not at all happy with the deceptive and "criminal" practices of Allstate.
We have been with Allstate for just a few months and my daughter gets a flat tire on the Highway. Tried the Allstate app 3 times and customer service twice and still did not get help. Sat there 2 hours.
They quote an amount and you wind up paying more than the quote then the app shows you pay less than the actual bill and they nearly doubled the rate in the first 6 months. Be aware! Seems more of a bait since I lost the benefits of my no deductible to switch and would now have to start all over if going back to regular program. Will be shopping around. This program isn't worth it.
I was told by an Allstate agent to leave my policy because he could not do anything about how Allstate is conning people out of thousands with the Milewise product. Over all Allstate is not conducting transparent business practices anymore since introducing the "Milewise" option. It turns out Milewise driver option is not in-fact an "option" and or anything you are actually told about when starting a new policy. If you didn't sign up for it Allstate will still say you did sign up for the Milewise option and debt your account even when you return the device they want you to plug into your vehicle. They will not adjust your policy once you notify them of the matter because it's not about you as a customer anymore. It's about you being conned out of hundreds of dollars without you knowing unless you check your account for how many times they have debited you account.
Over all I lost time and money thinking I was going to save with a reputable company! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! Agents are arrogant and will not provide you with more than "leave if you are not happy" attitude" and "yes it's a con but what can I do attitude". I lost money, I was so happy and ready to refer my friends, family, coworker for before I knew it was just a bait and switch Insurance Company. :( How horrible.
If I was an Allstate customer, I would watch out...you are NO LONGER IN GOOD HANDS. It seems that ALLSTATE IS unreasonably PUTTING PROFIT IN FRONT OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. :( Allstate only provided me with 2 days total of car rental after their accident adjuster totaled my vehicle that one of your drives hit. This is totally unreasonable. I had a rental car for 8 days. So on top of losing my car, and the wages while waiting the 4 days to get a rental. I have to pay for 6 of the 8 days I need the rental to get another car? You used to be a reasonable company, what happened?
I would like to express that we were fine with Allstate until I had to submit a claim. The customer service representatives were not as knowledgeable and helpful as they should have been throughout the entire process. This made the progress and the timeline of the claim frustrating. My accident was on 7/20 and as of 10/8 I still have not received the payment for my claim. It took over a month to get an answer if my vehicle would be repaired or a total loss. After they determined it as a total loss, then the process has taken way too long to get my money. Luckily, I had enough money to get a new vehicle. Otherwise, I would still be without a vehicle and paying the rental out of pocket. Not impressed with the handling of my claim and I have since changed carriers.
I've been with them over 5 years and generally have had a good experience. In 2018 I had an accident that was it of my control with black ice. Despite the fact that I was doing everything I could do right I still got punished for it with my rate doubling. I had an accident free record before that going back to 2007. I never have seen or heard of any accident forgiveness through them. So I don't believe that's possible, my agent never mentioned it ever. I asked my agent about why I was being punished considering my record and they had nothing to say. They "understand" my frustration. I really do not buy that one bit. So it will take either my rates going back down and reimbursing me for that change, or something significant, not an empty sorry.
I have been an allstate customer for close to 15 years. Recently I was in a head-on collision with another driver who was 100% at fault. Allstate plainly acknowledge that fact to me. Despite that, the other driver's insurance company refused to pay out on damages. This forced me to make a claim with my own insurance company. After 3 months of being bounced around, allstate finally sent me to the dealer for a quote.
According to the dealership I'm dealing with $1100 worth of damage on a truck I've been trying to sell. Allstate refuses to accept my claim for more than $200. This leaves me with a smashed front and, and who knows how much money in the hole. Allstate has refused to make me whole again, despite our contract. I intend to pursue legal action, but in the meantime I want to warn anyone who will listen to avoid this company. If you are with allstate you are NOT in good hands. Attached is a photo from my police report that shows the scene I had to contend with.
Was in auto accident with Allstate policy holder. The accident was her fault, police report to back it up. Contacted my insurance as well as Allstate. Allstate’s adjuster called the next day to give me the name of a shop and to set up a rental car. Took the car to the shop. Went to Enterprise, unable to get through them, called adjuster and let her know. Was told “call around and find a car”. As she was unwilling to do so, found one place 40 miles from my home, missed day and a half of work, huge deposit plus daily rental of $67.00 a day!!! Car in the shop for 2 days before the estimate of damages were finalized, shop says “10 business day”. Was originally told they paid $24.00 a day for rental when adjuster received the estimate, she paid only 10 days total at a rate of $20.00 a day.
I asked what about the 2 days in the shop before the estimate? What about the weekends between the business days? Her response, “not our problem, shop said 10 days. That’s all we pay." Acted like the $200.00 was a favor to me, plus had to pay Uber to take me 40 miles away. Basically was will happen according to the “not our problem, we aren’t paying anything else”, I would have to turn car in on Fridays, go back Monday, pay another large deposit plus daily rate for 3 weekends!!! Are you kidding me?? But their policy holder has a free rental and guess what? Weekends are covered.
I just hope and pray you are never involved in an accident with an Allstate client and you do not have Allstate!! You will be totally screwed!! I also, will be adding photos to my review. One will show only the few scratches the at fault has and my $5500.00 in damages. If I ever thought of changing my insurance to Allstate, they’ve made my decision to NEVER use them!!!! And I am letting everyone I knkw about my horrendous experience!!! BTW, they do not even deserve the 1 star rating.
We have had Allstate auto & homeowners coverage for years & never needed it until another person covered by Allstate pulled out in front of me causing $4000.00+ damage to my truck causing me to have a concussion & other problems I'm still dealing with a year later. They treated me as it was my fault which it was not the other person was ticketed. Never was able to talk to my agent, never got a rental & eventually had to hire an attorney. These people (Allstate) only care about how little they can get away with paying not your health or well being. We canceled them & went elsewhere for coverage & would never recommend them to anyone. I can't imagine what would have happened if there were more serious damages or injuries!!!
Ok. So I really dislike having to give them a star. But oh wells. I’m upset with Allstate because of their easy pay plan. I ran into a dilemma and had to get that date changed to a much later date for monthly payment. Now when I was on the phone I clearly stated that, "If I did that my premium wouldn’t go up right?" And the representative told me on the phone, "Oh no you will be fine." Long story short ended up bumping my premium up. Made payments due to tell ya already upset end up finding out I overpay. Called them up. Wanted a refund & they claimed they couldn’t stop the payment immediately & therefore I had to wait seven days 'til I see daylight. Grrr liars & scammers. Customers BE AWARE. They will say anything to get you to spend big bucks!!!!
I came across Allstate when I was looking for the insurance coverage for my two cars. I give them a call. The agent was nice so I decided to give it a try. The next day I got email where the agent requested a review about my experience with Allstate. It was unclear to me why they were pushing me that soon… Well a couple of months later the fun began. I noticed that my monthly payment was increased without any notifications or signed agreements. I tried to contact them but “the nice agent” simply ignored my calls. I would advise to stay away from them.
It has been a constant battle to get my Allstate property claim to be paid in full. We had a storm damage to our roof with kitchen area leaking and shingles missing. The first adjuster came out only to be told they’ll replace small amount of shingles and patch up the leak area. I completely disagree of their findings after I got a Contractor to come out and did a full inspection. Allstate sent a second adjuster to come out, inspect the roof. The 2nd adjuster found more damage on the roof than the first adjuster, but again only covers another small spots of shingles when there are more damage to be covered. I expressed to Allstate that putting a batch or bandages on the damage will not sustained over period of time. I just want to be made whole again. I cannot count on this insurance company to have my back when needed. It’s been hell fighting with them regarding my claim. They sure don’t give me hell when it’s time for me to pay my premium.
I purchased an auto insurance policy online on August 16, 2019. I paid the 6-month policy in full ($971.37) and made no changes to the original quote that was given to me. On September 19, 2019, I check online to obtain a copy of my policy and I see that they increased my premium $464.28. I did not receive any kind of notice or statement saying that my policy premium would increase. When I spoke with them over the phone, Jordan ** stated that the underwriter did not know why the premium increased but that there was nothing that could be done. As frustrated as I already felt, I purchased another auto insurance policy with another carrier and cancelled my Allstate insurance. When I asked how much of the premium I already paid for in full was to be refunded, they said that the amount that would be refunded would be prorated based on the increased premium amount and not the original quoted premium.
Basically, I was quoted one premium which I paid in full upfront. Then, I get charged a higher premium without notice. Finally, I cancel my policy the same day I find out and they don't even give me my full refund from what was originally quoted to me. I will never use Allstate again and will advise all my friends, family, and anyone else who uses Allstate to switch because they basically took my money without any consequences to them.
I used to have autopay setup and I was double charged so I switched to making manual monthly payments. I talked to Sylvia each month to make payments and I thought all was good. My husband lost his ring and initially we were told it would be a $500 deductible. Next we were told that the ring was on a jewelry rider. Next, coincidentally, we were told that there was a lapse in coverage just in that period that we had the loss. I called Elizabeth (Lisa) ** and she could not care less about the situation. I am leaving Allstate for extremely POOR service.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Had to Mark a star to leave a review. NO STARS EARNED! My auto has been at the dealership for 30 days because Allstate insists they must replace with used parts. 2018 auto and used parts are impossible to find! Dealership has replaced part THREE times and still does not work. I have been calling customer service at Allstate multiple times only to be transferred to staff who have recordings that say they are out on vacation. After leaving a message, I received a voicemail from Supervisor Amber in Ohio reading the ALLSTATE policy verbatim stating it’s ALLSTATE policy to replace with used parts. In the meantime I have to pay for a rental car and the lease payment for a car waiting on parts! Thank you to ALLSTATE for taking an unfortunate event and making it 100 times worse. Hoping I get my car back before the lease turn in date.
The Drive Wise app and Allstate Auto Insurance illegally collect the contacts info and pictures on the phones and may be selling them to advertisers and may be making money... Why does a insurance app which needs only map location need full access to pictures and contacts? It is because the thieves want to steal and need your keys!!! Allstate does not have the guts or legal face to explain why it is needed and cooly dumped the issue on the agent who knows nothing about privacy....
As a long-term satisfied customer of Allstate Insurance, I have had my cars and home insured for many years. Much to my surprise, after moving into a new home, I received a letter that my homeowners insurance would be canceled. The reason was "granular damage" on the roof. When I questioned this decision, I was told an inspector came out after we moved in and determined the damage. My wife is home everyday and NEVER saw an inspector at our house. Furthermore, the previous inspection on the home did not reveal this problem. When I questioned my agent's office, I was told I could keep the insurance if I agreed to pay 30% of the total cost to replace the roof in the next ten years. This would amount to approximately $5,000. I have now switched insurance companies.
I believe Allstate does this to new home buyers to avoid paying for a new roof. Most roofs in Texas require replacing in ten years due to hail possibilities. If they set up a system where they receive premiums for several years and then only pay 70% for a roof replacement, they recoup their losses. This is a form of a scam and I believe most people fall for it and accept the decision. I will never use Allstate again.
I had been a customer with Allstate Insurance company for many years when the car I was a passenger in was hit from behind. They didn't wanna come to an agreement so I filed suit. Remember I was hit by an uninsured motorist and paid for that coverage through my own insurance. My own insurance (Allstate) has dragged the case out for 3 1/2 years. The accident was on May 2, 2016 and to this day Sept 10, 2019 I still have not been made whole. I have even had attorneys (If you can call them that) dealing with my case and they have been stone walled at every corner.
