I used my AAA service calls, one was for a new AAA battery installed. Today, No crank, no lights/no start. Most likely battery that's fairly new and completely under warranty. I either have to pay for the service call but if I quit and go with a new Auto Service Membership they will NOT HONOR THE 3 year full replacement warranty per "Don". I have been a member for 34 years, and have noticed a real decline in customer service from Triple A, that extends to their service providers. Buyer Beware.

Over the past eight years, I have filed three claims, two with this company, one with another. Also, two were no fault and one was mine. From start to finish, AAA was always in touch with me from the date of initial claim all of the way through the end. They were courteous and efficient and worked closely with the body repair shop. The claim was processed quickly and I cannot speak highly enough about them. But AAA did increase my premium immensely after the 2nd accident, so I switched to Hartford and after about three years had the third accident which was no fault. It took me almost three months to get my car repaired after that. What a difference a company makes!

While it was easy to file a claim, when my vehicle was struck in a parking lot, unfortunately it was never processed correctly. They were adding marks on my driving record even though I was not in the vehicle at the time! Not cool!!! Also, they have done everything they can to force me to remain locked into their catastrophically high rates for simply going to the store for food and medications, when I was not at fault for any of the accidents they are incorrectly assigning to me. Heck, I would like to know how I can be charged for an accident when I was not even in the vehicle, nor able to be in it within the month they say I had an accident when I was confined in the hospital giving birth to a precious child?!

Forget the facts much, AAA insurance? Hope you can appreciate it when people cancel their membership with a corporation of thieves! Anyone asks me, I will tell them to avoid AAA insurance at all costs, even if it is the last insurance company on earth! Bunch of corrupt thieves taking the very food from the mouths of children so that the mother can work herself to death to pay for insurance just to get to work!!!

Every time we move we shop around the insurance anyway, but auto policy or combined with the homeowner's policy, we ended up with AAA in 3 states. The combined the policy with AAA membership beats others combined with my driving and claims history. For the famous Texas hail damaged to the roof, they had a separate estimator and adjuster does the work for AAA. The very close communication makes appointment better not the disappointment. My agent is also so diligent and punctual, any question or quote, renewal, she gets in touch with me at the right timing.

On 2-6-2018, I called Triple A for lock out service for my car. At 6:30 pm at night, the customer service rep told me it will be 30 minutes to a hour for help to arrive. At 7:30 pm I called Triple A and told them nobody showed up to help me, they looked on their computer system and said the company that was coming to help me updated their time frame and said it will be 8:30 pm because the weather is bad and a lot of snow on the roads, so I said ok. I can understand because the weather is bad it will delay things, so I waited until 8:30 pm and nobody showed up.

I called Triple A and they said it will be 9:30 pm because of the weather, by now I am pissed off, I told the representative on the phone that, "Why nobody called me and tell me it's gonna keep being a delay to help me get in my car. Why I have to keep calling you?” The guy on the phone said he is sorry, but I told the guy if nobody can’t show up to help me because of the weather just tell me, I can’t keep sitting here waiting for help that never came. I had to end up calling the police to get in my running car so I can get home. The officer got in my car in 5 minutes and I was able to drive home, I never received a call from Triple A to check to see if I made it home. I been with Triple A for 10 years and they are about to lose a loyal customer. If you need a reliable auto service to depend on, Triple A is not the one.

Been with AAA Auto Insurance for years and have an agent who really looks out for me. I love having an agent who knows my needs. When I went through my divorce many years ago and ended up having to pay for my ex's insurance until he got the vehicle repossessed. It was a tough time for me but Shane helped me through all of this with ease. Filing a claim was very efficient and hassle-free. There was less stress which is good when you have just had an accident. Thanks!

AAA Auto Insurance handled all claims and gave us a fair value for the car without argument. Family had a wreck with minor injury but totaled car. Called AAA and gave them the basics like the who, what, when, where and how, and they did the rest. They gave me a claim number to give to all claimants involved. Any bills or statements I received, I just faxed them on to AAA with the claim number on it.

On December 29th 2017 I called AAA for lockout road service. The temperature was minus 10. I waited 25 minutes to get connected to a live a service rep. The rep I spoke to was horrible. I had to repeat my member number 3 or 4 times. I also had to repeat the location address 3 times as well as the city. I was asked to spell New York. She misidentified me even though I had given my info 3 times. I finally asked her to write my information down. I waited 1 hour for the service truck to arrive. With no show I called AAA and was told that I was listed in Schenectady not Saratoga where I was. After another 25 minutes the service finally arrived. I went to the local office... AAA Northway and spoke to Frank **, Manager and was given a form to fill out to send to Schenectady.

I wanted to cancel my membership and get a refund. Membership was a month old. Frank said he was unable to do anything for me. I sent the form via certified mail to AAA Schenectady and have not received a reply as of 1/31/18. Stay away from AAA...they do not provide the services as outlined in their contract. They have incompetent people working for them and appear not to have a resolution procedure available for members complaints about the initial contact and request for service.

I'm extremely unhappy with the service I'm receiving from both of your claim adjusters Mona ** and Owen **. First of all my car was stolen and was found the next day and the motor wasn't running right. It was running fine the last time I used my car which was the Same day it was stolen. I have full coverage on both of my vehicles. So when my car was found I had it towed to Antioch Dealership. The diagnosis was they said it was from wear and tear but my complaint is that the car was not in my possession when this happened so I don't feel it's fair that I have to pay to put a new motor in my car because it wasn't my fault. That's one complaint. The other complaint is when I talk to Mona ** she was not very professional. I call and leave messages and she doesn't call back. The results I got for my car took one month.

I don't understand what took so long and I was never contacted like I should have been and told what was going on. I kept having to call AAA to find out anything. When I wasn't getting information I needed from Moana ** I asked for her supervisor's number. She said her supervisor his name is Owen **. I called him to get information out of him and he kept telling me he didn't have the information but then all of a sudden he pulled it up and said he had it but that all he could tell me was that my car was a loss. It couldn't be fixed through AAA and he couldn't explain to me what the problem was. He kept telling me that I will get the letter in the mail explaining what was wrong with the motor. Also being disrespected by him yelling at me, raising his voice and I don't understand why. I was extremely upset from the results of the car and extremely upset because AAA isn't going to take care of the problem.

I want to go higher up with a different supervisor or superintendent. Somebody that can handle the situation better. Someone needs to talk to these two people because they're rude and disrespectful and I do not deserve to be treated this way. I've had insurance for very long time. Always gone back to AAA and now I'm tempted to go somewhere else. I still haven't got my car back. Now I have to have it towed to a different place to have it fixed and pay for it with my own money. This is not fair. Why do I pay full coverage insurance and I feel like I'm getting punished for something I didn't do I had no control over. I wish someone that had professional experience could call me and talk to me about this situation that I'm extremely unhappy about.

I have been a member for *50 years* this year, and my husband even longer. Starting about two years ago I began having problems with their billing system. I cannot even begin to say how they screwed up our policies, and this past summer sent a certificate of insurance on one of my vehicles, stating that my son was the new owner. That vehicle was sitting in my garage, I never sold to him or anyone. Then they cancelled the insurance on his wife's car. When I asked where they got such erroneous info from, they told me that the Secretary of State told them. I laughed at such ridiculousness, since there is no way they do that. I then asked AAA if they took the SOS's ''word for it" without any proof on my end, and was told "yes."

I even called SOS to find out, and the person could not believe what I was saying. A few months later when I talked to someone else at AAA, and told him what happened, he said that I was given the wrong info and that someone there had made an error... Of course no one would admit it. I just wonder how in the world they came up with it in the first place. I also wonder, how many other members have had this happen or worse. Their billing system is sub par, when it comes to their AAA Master Card division. They claim they do not work together when it comes to recording of monthly payment premiums, and have screwed up mine royally. I am so fed up with how lax AAA has become, that I am looking around for other companies.

I have been a Minnesota AAA member for years. I have always found the customer service staff and people providing roadside assistance to be very helpful, professional and generally decent people. I called AAA on 1/4/2018. I called and told an operator I needed a tow to a service shop about 15 minutes away. I asked her to quote me a price for additional mileage for going outside my plan (5 mile max tow). When I asked about the extra fee to have it towed I contemplated going to a higher plan but she stated I could go to a higher level plan but I would have to wait 72 hours.

I said I had an appointment to get my car fixed at 9 the next day. So, I opted to pay to have a tow take me the additional distance without changing my plan. She stated there would be a delay. I called at 6:40 PM that night. I did not hear from anyone from AAA the rest of the night. They stated that they called and left messages for me at 11 PM and 12:20 AM. I have a phone plan that records transcripts of voicemail messages left for me. None of those calls resulted in them leaving me a message and the audio voicemail confirmed that no messages were left.

So, the next day I asked why someone was calling me at 12:20 AM? I stated that a 12:20 AM call would only wake me. And that I was upset they could not have called earlier in the evening if they knew they were going to be that late. I then told them I had to cancel my appointment with the mechanic. I stated that since AAA is the one who did not show for the tow and did not make an effort to contact me in a timely way I should be able to upgrade my membership and not have to wait 72 hours. A customer service person stated she could make it active so that I could use it on Sunday morning (I called on Friday morning).

When I called on Sunday morning I was told that I had to wait until Monday to use the long distance tow. I told them that I had been on the last call to AAA for over an hour and the only reason I waited to call them because I told them I could not use the service until Sunday morning. My last call to AAA customer service was at 2 or 3 PM Sunday. Someone was supposed to be looking into calls of past customer service staff but after approximately 75 minutes my cell phone died. I wound up driving my car to the shop and not using the towing service. On Monday I called the Burnsville, MN office to complain.

They referred me to someone in Michigan. This person has not called me back and it has been over a week since I called her. Also, throughout this process I was told that AAA had a record number of service calls. They asked me to be understanding of their situation. I was understanding but when I asked them to show me the same consideration for me and my situation they could not accommodate me. What is considered a "reasonable" amount of time to wait for a tow... 1 hour, 5 hours, 18 hours? My problem was not the fact that they had delays but how poorly they communicated with me throughout all of this. And, how they either did not coordinate with each other to make sure notes were passed on to others or simply did not call me in a reasonable amount of time. I am sorry but calling me for 5 seconds and then trying to leave a message at 12:20 AM is not making a reasonable effort to communicate with me.

When I took an auto policy, the agent did not tell me about hefty early cancellation fee. On the contrary, he told me that the policy can be cancelled anytime without having fine. I should have recorded that conversation. I found out that their insurance rate was the highest and then cancelled the policy. After cancellation that they charged me $350 as cancellation fee. What a rip off. Of course the 11% early cancellation was in the multi page contract that you fail to notice. Never going to get AAA insurance in my life.

My house burned to the ground in the Northern California Tubbs firestorm in Oct 2017. We lost everything; our home and everything in it. We also lost two vehicles. AAA (CSAA) was very good. They found us a hotel to stay in and wired us $10,000 right off the bat. They gave us direct phone numbers for our major loss adjuster, field adjuster, auto claims people and personal property adjuster so these people were all immediately available; no telephones answered by recordings or wading through convoluted phone menus.

The adjusters were kind, smart and helpful. The auto claims people were a little annoying at first but, in the end, they paid our 2 claims promptly. On the homeowners’ insurance, we did not have to itemize every single item of personal property for them (but we did so for our own records) and, with our adjuster’s help, we got the policy limit. And AAA paid our policy limits on Other Structures and Trees/Plants/Shrubs. AAA paid policy limit on dwelling plus 50% upgrade coverage less $85k which we will get when we rebuild or buy new house. In the meantime, we are in a rented house where AAA is paying the rent and has provided rental furniture, TVs, bedding, towels, kitchenware, small appliances (toaster, microwave) and sundries. Overall, I am pleased with how well and how promptly AAA handled my homeowners and auto claims.

I call this ** only to get a voicemail. I waited about a week and just before I could call her and the shop I get a call from Enterprise stating that an extension has been placed on my rental. I call the shop and they too have not heard from the inspector. Another week goes by and still nothing, voicemail is all. The shop owner having the same problem. 30 days go by and I get a call from Enterprise, I have used up my 30 days with the rental. I call the shop and car still not ready. I call Miss **and again, voicemail.

A month and a week with my car in the shop and very disappointed with the end results. Cars missing parts, paint looks as if it were spray can painted with Rust-Oleum. The shop did guarantee the work for the life of the vehicle, not ever recommending this shop. But that’s not really their fault as they never received an estimate or report from AAA. Had they did they could have done a way better job than this garbage preschool job. They simply received a check from Miss ** and made it work with what money AAA gave them. 2 months now and still no luck getting a hold with Miss **. Anyone reading this, stay far away from AAA Insurance. Not worth the hassle especially when it involves an accident. Maybe it’s a South thing. Where I come from if in an accident you don't get your car back until the state inspects it and the insurance adjuster inspects it.

This last time, I was in a rollover accident on Dec 29, 2017, taken unconscious to the hospital, while my vehicle was towed to an impound lot (not by AAA). While I was still in the hospital, I requested AAA to tow my vehicle to my property 40 miles away to avoid further storage fees. Since I couldn't be at the vehicle to "meet" them, they refused service. I contracted with the tow company to deliver the vehicle to my property for a total bill of $1297.00. I submitted a reimbursement form and was again denied. AAA hid behind obscure policies and procedures to avoid paying out for services due their customers. I will never again be a customer of AAA and will adamantly refer friends, family, and others away from AAA. They are a scam, and should be sued under class action.

This incident happened on December 12, 2017. I was driving an 87 Chevy pickup truck. I was parked in a business location. Upon finishing my Christmas shopping I returned to the truck around 11:00 p.m. I had noticed my car door would not open on either passenger and driver's side. Mind you it was at least 38 degrees outside on top of the rapid wind conditions. I tried for another 30 minutes to pry my door open. I called AAA dispatchers and someone arrived 12:30 am to attempt to unlock my doors. The representative finally told me he was unable to open the doors using all the tools he had in his truck, he said he would send for a tow truck to come and retrieve my truck to tow to my home. He left around 1:15 am. This number 314-523-7350 from AAA called to tell me someone would be out there 2:30 am. 2:30 am arrived. No one had still come. Temperature's steady dropping and wind progressing.

I called the number again and they apologized for the wait but said someone wouldn't be coming for another HOUR! At this point I was fed up & cold. No one not one person was able to come until 4:15 am!!!! I was livid. The tow truck they sent me told me the other driver simply did not show up and no one communicated that to me or to him. He took only 15 minutes to hook the Chevy onto the tow truck. We left the location at 4:30 am! Imagine if I had small children with me I probably would've called the police. Being that you have to stay with your vehicle so the dispatcher will see you prevents anyone from walking a mile or two in case they need to go somewhere for shelter.

This was unacceptable and I am currently looking for another auto insurance roadside company to give my money to. Valued customers in fact human beings shouldn't be treated like this! There is no communication between dispatchers and the calling center. Something has to be done or you will soon find your company under a lawsuit. I write this review to warn others of this mishap. The tow truck man even informed me that this unfortunately happens all the time and is unacceptable. What is your explanation for this & what are you going to do about it.

I received a false insurance quote from Jessica ** of AAA. Then after I gave her my billing information, and all, her quote went up from around thirty three dollars to around thirty nine dollars. She insisted I switch from Liberty Mutual, who is superior, to Triple A, and pay more for it. That does not make any sense, and when I complained to The Department of Insurance, she lied of course. Nobody beats Liberty Mutual, and my reason for this review is that I am angry with Triple A, for stooping so low, and wasting my precious time. They should listen to their tape recorded phone calls, instead of taking the word of their employees, or anyone else for that matter. The Department of Insurance should NOT make false assumptions, and allow their clients to respond, before closing a case in favor of AAA. The calls ARE supposed to be recorded!!!

Always received mail to join AAA, so after some thought and 3 vehicles I decided to join and choose the Plus membership for $94.00 (to get more mileage for towing). Will NOT renew. They use contractors and do not communicate with a customer. First tech came out from KAM. What a disgusting, rude, disrespectful and unprofessional person. He was shaking his head as I told him I requested my car to be towed to my house. So what the battery is dead, why would have I waited to get a jump??? Duh, I know it’s more than the battery, so he just looked like he did not want to do the job. His whole demeanor said it all. I already was pissed from the call with the 2 agents as they do not explain why they ask so many questions. I just want my car towed to my house, can we get that done please?!? Don’t tell me how long I been a member blah. Are you able to assist me? That’s all.

Needless to say, the tech was just so ugh. I became uncomfortable and my gut feeling said, "Nope. Cancel!!!" I went home after waiting almost 2 and half hours. Why pay so much money for crappy tech and service??! An hour later I requested a tow and KAM company again accepted the call but a different guy came out. He was very very helpful, informative and telling me all what he was doing.

The first guy was a true **. He must NOT like his job. He even told me why he was doing it because I am a “woman" and women need to know that way there isn’t no misunderstandings. Very nice guy. But too bad. Next year for renewal forget AAA. I WILL NOT RENEW due to their sorry way of not communicating and poor service. Oh and I used TWO tows not one on that same day. Was I able to get it revised? Nope. Just money hungry company that do not value customers or understanding. I received no confirmation number on the call, no name of tech. No courtesy call to tell me he was in route or late. Nothing. Second guy, yes. He was very very nice.

You want to save money, right? Me too. Most of states, insurance companies provide you "loyalty discount" longer you stay with them, but some states they don't. After I researched, I found out AAA do in my state too. I went to AAA office to get quote. I provided personal information include violation information. Based on your traffic tickets, I clearly understand my premium rate go up. One of question is how many mileage I drive. Most of people claim for about 12,000 per year unless you know you drive a lot more than this.

Also they asked for how many mileage you do have now. You think they start to calculate your estimate yearly mileage start from effective date, right? The answer is NO. They have access to your latest smog test record and get mileage information. Your "estimated yearly mileage calculation " is based on between the day you had smog test and the date you get quote. I had smog test on 8/1. I got quote on 11/1. So based on mileage between 8/1-11/1, they will calculate your "estimated yearly mileage " so if you had driven many mileage for traveling or guests were in the town on this period, it will affect you "AT TIME of underwriting process of your policy". They do not calculate for you at time you get quote. And you see this effect AFTER you signed paperwork. Also they will not explain to you that they really access to your record and calculate your "estimated yearly mileage".

So on first statement, I see $470 increase. What you do? I contacted with my agent. According to agent, estimate is based on your driving behavior. Well, why they don't give me a quote based on how underwriter calculate mileage instead of asking me "what is your yearly estimated mileage“??? Then, they will tell you that cancelation fee is 11% of your annual premium if you cancel for your first year and they re-calculate your policy as short term policy and charge at refund process. So I had 2 peoples on my policy. My early termination fee itself end up $300. Just be aware, they know what they are doing. That is why they set up 11% of early termination fee for first year to make sure you are locked with them even though your rate go up for any reason.

Conclusion: AAA has early termination fee for 11% of your annual premium amount only for first year and also they re-calculate your policy as short term policy and charge you for remaining balance if you request to cancel. AAA has access to your actual mileage from smog test, and calculate your estimated yearly mileage is based on between the day of smog test and quote day when underwriter process your policy, but they don't do same method when they give you a quote. I never heard any of insurance company really calculate your mileage with using smog test record.

They fairly quickly settled on my vehicle (motorcycle - totaled), but the rest of my claim (all of my gear - which saved them thousands upon thousands of potential medical bills) is STILL dragging on! I've had to eat the bill for replacing all of it, but they are just dragging their feet. All calls and voicemails are just ignored. Everything has been submitted to them two months ago (took them 2 months to request everything they "needed"), but still sitting here holding my bill with nothing from them. If you think AAA takes care of you and helps make you safe on the road... think again. Our Land Cruiser was being towed home for a simple broken fan belt, but the tow truck driver smashed it into a parked car. Both cars were totaled! It happened over a month ago and we are still haggling over the value of our truck.

The owner of the parked car was completely fleeced. She could not replace her car with the money she received from their insurance company. No one was fighting for her to get the value of her car.

We are fighting for the value of our auto, with no help from AAA. They have left the building. The tow truck company is smarmy and AAA is not holding them to any standard of treatment of their customer. It seems to me they should work together to take care of the customer. We assumed we were protected from smarmy stuff like this because we were AAA members. But AAA told us all they do is refer a tow truck company and they have nothing else to do with the matter. Maybe AAA should vet the tow truck companies they send out to their customers! Ya think? Maybe they should make sure their customer has a decent experience with their roadside assistance and make sure they are reputable. If they just use random tow companies you don't know who they might send! Dracula? Or a buffoon, like we got. I expected better. I thought we were protected somehow by the AAA on our window. NOT.

Thank goodness I haven't had to submit a claim or else that'd just dig deeper into my already stretched thin wallet. I'm likely switching to Esurance next year for automobile coverage. Just looked up a quote with my current stats and that plan should cost me at least $30 less per month. That appears far more doable for a relatively new car than paying an arm and a leg through AAA. I'll still use AAA for roadside assistance but odds are never again for automobile.

I was told that both checks were on the way to expect them around the 14th. It is Now August 15th. Guess what? No Check. I call Triple A again and was told that the refund for the membership was issued on the 11th, so I asked about the 50.00 was told "oh that is being processed today." I have never in my life been lied to by so many people in one company as this one. I feel there is no moral integrity at this company, they just lie and tell you whatever to get you off the phone. Yet they have no problem taking your money, which for them seems to be the only thing that matters.

I then got my membership number right away. It was supposed to cover up to 100 miles. I was 53 miles away from home. I call to get a tow. The lady on the phone says I'm not covered. I said, "What do you mean? I'm covered for 100 miles." She says, "No I'm sorry. You only have partial coverage for 5 miles. You don't get the full benefit of your plan until 7 days after you purchase it." What a kick in the teeth!! It cost me 235$ to get my car home plus the 105 I spent on the membership itself!!! Not affordable at least for us. Dustin, the man helping us... helping. Ha! At first he said we weren't allowed to cancel, then we found out it was because he didn't finish the process & was attempting to buy himself some time. We weren't active when we called to cancel being we did this on Friday & cancelled Monday morning. Here we are almost 10 days later & Dustin says we'll be getting a refund of only 131$... Hmmm. So. For 2 days of inactive service it costs over half of our initial payment? I'm not allowing this to happen. We needed that money as does everyone who cannot afford that amount per month. I am taking to whoever will listen.

It wasn't personal, we just need something that fits our budget which is what he said the day we asked if we could do our old plan on the new car. They're crooks. How can you sleep knowing you're stealing from working class families? Who do not live off public assistance and work for every dollar. I need to know what in the ** costs over half of our initial payment and why we are only getting the 131. So now we cannot even use that to turn on our insurance with Progressive! Who is much more affordable for the very same ** insurance plan! AAA: Thanks. For making life that much more harder for us. You line your pockets with the dollars of ppl who legit need it. It’s sad. I thought this would expedite the claims process. The police report said her insured was at fault. Mind you there were 3 policemen at the scene. They did all the measuring and interviews. Theresa decided to ignore what the police report said and is going with what her insured said. Now I guess I'll have to get an attorney. This is so sad. I thought AAA was one of the more reputable companies. I have Liberty Mutual and they will decline their request for payment because they believe the police report. Don't use AAA.

My membership had recently expired but I was told when I called that if I renewed it right away, I would not be charged for the service. I renewed it right away. I was then overseas for a period of time and when I got back, I found that my bill had been turned over to a collection agency. I managed to sort that out, but AAA still claims I owed them for the two service calls. Apparently their phone rep didn't know what she was talking about.

What is most outrageous is the very long time it takes to get service in Hawaii. For the second call I was in a place where it was unsafe to be waiting alone at night. The drivers on both calls said it routinely takes up to 2 hrs to respond since they don't have enough trucks or drivers. Also, AAA Hawaii is nearly impossible to reach by phone at any time, but particularly after business hours. This company is badly managed and is a rip off in Hawaii. Also terrible customer service.

Just a quick note about the other driver. He has a 3-page rap sheet with drivers license revoked, rape, assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping and numerous other charges. So AAA must charge him enough to cover the cost of repairs. AAA has been delaying the claim for more than 60 days, I have been hung up on because I was frustrated and said I would get a lawyer.

They will not cover personal property in the trunk. They will not cover the cost of a taxi I had to take because my car was undrivable and I was 60 miles from the nearest town. They will not cover a rental car while they determine a settlement. They will not cover transportation cost for the car to be towed. They gave me a low ball offer of 50% of the car's value before it was wrecked by their client. So far I have called them 25 times in the last 60 days, left 25 messages and had 3 return phone calls. This is the worst of the worst. I will be forced to sue the individual directly because his insurance company will not step up. I just hope he doesn't kidnap me and kill me in the desert somewhere...

I also held back no information, told them how old I was when I first got my license, a minor accident I had been in etc. So I signed the policy & weeks later I get a letter saying my policy has increased. Of course it's after I sign everything & they take my money. In order to cancel early I have to pay a cancellation fee, plus the price of new insurance. The new rate they gave is too expensive & I wouldn't have gone with it, had I known. Furthermore, it's ridiculous I have to pay a fee because they didn't do what they needed to do in the first place.

My husband was in an accident with a AAA insured individual. The individual was clearly at fault as he ran a stop sign and fully admitted at the scene that he did so. My husband had to slam on his brakes to avoid hitting the car on the passenger side doors (good thing as the guy's 10 yo daughter was in the passenger seat) and instead hit him on the rear bumper. This accident did a good deal of damage to our car but little to the AAA insured. As MD is a no fault state, the police were unable to cite him because there was no major property damage, loss of life or DUI. We tried for days to get someone at AAA to call us about a rental car but they kept telling us they would not cover anything until determination of fault was made. After a couple of phone calls to rude and uncaring service folks at AAA, and the lack of any movement by them, we went through our insurance to cover the repairs as we needed a car to drive!

Well lo and behold, come to find out, if you are more than 1% at fault in the state of MD the person who hit you doesn't have to pay! So guess what, AAA says my husband is 10% at fault for the accident even though the other guy clearly ran the stop sign and admitted it. Our insurance company says my husband is not at fault at all. So bottom line, we have to pay our deductible and our insurance company has to take them to arbitration to try to recoup the funds. So, basically, we get to pay for the other guy's bad driving habits. It will take 3-4 months to resolve and we may never see a cent of our deductible.

And still, no communication with AAA. Only a letter in the mail saying we were 10% at fault. I can't think of a better way to maximize your profits than making the person who was hit pay for their own repairs and then blaming them for it! I'm sure they will negotiate a lower cost and my insurance company will end up paying a portion of the repair even though we didn't have any fault. What a racket they have going. I would NEVER recommend this insurance company and I will never use AAA for anything again if this is how they make their money. I wish you luck if you are ever hit by a driver insured by them. Quite Possibly the Worst Insurance Experience Ever!

I am very unsatisfied, and disappointed and still waiting for the refund for two months. Agent Shantel ** has given lower amount before she charged membership fee and registration fee ($108+$45). Soon after she charged both, she came up with higher amount (180$ monthly payment) saying she had to remove some discounts. First she accuse me for entering wrong information in the quote, but after I send her and her manager (Araceli "Shelly" **) the proof of my quote that I entered everything correct, they just said they cannot do anything. I have to either pay 180$ or cancel the policy. I am a student and I am working part time and only reason that I accept to cancel the GEICO policy and get the AAA was they offer me cheaper rate. I clearly told her that, I cannot go with that higher price and will not proceed further to buy policy and wanted my money back that she charged for membership fee and registration fee.

She said she has cancelled payment and initiated a refund and I will get my money in 3-5 business days. She was in rush to cancel my policy and she said that her reason for rush is that she want to cancel my policy before seven days so I can get my money back without any cancellation fee. So I cancel it the day that she wants and I signed the documents. I need to mention, I have to go back to GEICO policy, but since I had cancel it, they need to start the new policy and they offer me same policy as I had it before with a higher rate!!! This is so upsetting that due to AAA, now I need to pay more for the GEICO policy that I had it before.

Later when I did not receive my refund, I tried calling AAA and agent Shantel **, she said that since my policy canceled after nine days!! (Before that she claimed it is seven days) there will be some cancellation fee and I might get some money. I ask her how much money they will refund me and she said she doesn't know!! Only her manager knows! I tried to call her manager multiple times, I even put phone massage but she never call me back. I thought she would help me getting refund but instead she was literally unhelpful and I think AAA should take care of this kind of agents trying to deceive customers. As a student, this is so upsetting. Not only they charge me for their own mistake, but also I am paying more now for the GEICO policy.

This was clearly a mistake and miscalculation from your agent giving wrong information and changing insurance policy price after charging membership and registration fee and signing all the documents. I really don't understand why I should pay when it is not my mistake at all. I do not know where should I contact and ask help and I would really appreciate if AAA can help me with getting back my money.

Spent the time to see if their auto insurance rates are lower and found they were no lower than Geico rates. Don't waste your time. Just get quotes from the 2 or 3 leading insurance companies... who actually pay their claims... and go with those. It's far more important that they pay claims fairly and timely than whether their rates are the absolute lowest! "Allstate" and Geico are among the best - go with one of those - forget the smaller "no name" brands.

I heard AAA Auto Insurance was a decent company. However, my experience with them so far has been the WORST. I've recently gotten into a car accident where it was not my fault. I depended on these people to help me handle this situation (contacting the other side) which should have been an easy task. However, they have the rudest, and laziest adjusters working for them. My adjuster sounds fairly young and just downright clueless. I gave them the contact information that the person at fault gave me. They failed to realize that the corporate office goes by EST with office hours 8 am - 4 pm. Although it was clearly stated in their automatic message system, the girl kept calling at 3-4pm PST. Talk about lack of attention to detail, which is a very important factor in handling someones insurance claims.

She kept claiming that she's "been calling with no success". It literally took me one call to do her job. I ended up reaching the other side myself, doing THEIR job. And when I went back to AAA giving them the information I retrieved from the other side, she claimed she already had the correct info. It was completely different from mines. She kept asking if I called them myself, when AAA is suppose to handle these things for me. What am I paying you for? Another instance with the same car incident, I spoke with another woman regarding my frustrations on how they have not tried to get my situation settled. All she could do was tell me they have their hands tied because they already submitted the claim.

If that is AAA's ONLY is responsibility then I will gladly take my business elsewhere. It is your job to constantly contact the other side. Not "submit a claim" and that is the end of the story. What a terrible slow insurance company. They did not care that I required a rental car. Even if I had the basic coverage, they did not have any remorse, no recommendations, nothing. All she did was laugh in my face and say "what are you talking about" every time I expressed concern. She claimed that they were only there to help me, well now, THERE'S something to laugh at. FYI it's been weeks since the incident and nothing has been done. Just me correcting their work, and the only progress that has been made was on my end.

They removed the discount for GARAGED VEHICLE, SAFE DRIVER, AIR BAGS, and MILEAGE VERIFICATION and MULTI POLICY discounts without warning. I explained that all of the above discounts were one of the reasons I opted to obtain their auto insurance policy because I got a check for those 4 discounts every year end of policy.

I reported the incident and was on my way. That afternoon, in SF, a woman came into my driver's side, my kid yelled, I blew the horn, she still clipped my driver's rear-view mirror and the front as she bolted in front of me. My kid in the back yelled to call the police and take the photo as she hit us as was NOT stopping! I blew the horn, called the police, and called insurance. I had just paid to fly my kid to Baltimore a couple of months prior, and had to go back for a revision due to this woman who hit us and did not want to stop. She finally stopped.

The police came. They don't write reports in CA unless you are injured to go to the hospital. No one would have been able to do anything in an ER setting. The officer commented about the woman and said he was sorry he could not write the ticket to me and my kid. I reported it correctly. However, I got the worst claims adjuster ever by the name of Travis **. He totally screwed it up and put the one in the morning as my being at fault with the injury. He also botched up going after the woman who hit me!

I am 60 and a special education teacher and have never seen such a tragic handling of two cases! Not only did I fly back to Baltimore later to get my kid fixed, I never got reimbursed per the policy, and now, June 30, 2017, I learned that for the next 6 months, I will pay nearly $500 extra for my policy due to this moron putting me down as at fault for the woman running into my side! This means that each year, my insurance, which I thought was high, was nearly $1000 per year OVER what I should have paid. I contacted AAA. They sent me to someone who could not handle it. They sent Travis ** (claims adjuster for AAA Southern California) a message that he and/or his supervisor should contact me ~ but NO ONE has!

I need to let you all know ~ Beware of AAA! This is over $3000-$4000 they have overcharged an honest, hard working special ed teacher since 2014! I will notify you all and my legislators and the insurance commissioner for the State of California! This is stealing at best! I even have emails from Travis stating it would not affect my policy and that I would not have a deductible for her hitting me. Someone at AAA is screwing me over financially. The roadside assistance was VERY quick to respond when my old car failed to start and I get great deals on many hotels and restaurants (if you're a AAA member, which doesn't cost that much a year and lowers your auto insurance as well). They answered and paid the claim in a timely fashion but I feel that it's unfair of them to raise rates for incidents that are fairly minor. The rate increase is over a year long and not due to an actual moving violation involving a citation. If that were the case I would feel it was more fair to me, the consumer. When you pay for years without incident, then they raise your rates when you finally make a claim.

Auto insurance is very expensive and in the the state of Rhode Island you have to be careful to pick the right company that will assist you when you need to make a claim but not pay a high premium. I have lived in three different states across the US and have done my home work on compering prices between insurance companies for the same amount of coverage on my vehicle. AAA has always had the best price for the same coverage with all the local insurance companies. In the past 30 years I have been driving I had a total of 5 accidents. Out of the 5 accidents 2 of them I used different insurance companies but did not get the same caring assistance as I did when I was with AAA. The claims rep. was very calming and caring. Made you feel like they are there to truly assist you. They took all the information and details from me about the accident and went right to work on resolving the situation. An AAA auto policy does not cover towing or emergency road service. Towing and emergency road service is part of the AAA membership that can cost between $56 and $119 depending upon what membership benefits you want. This amount needs to be added to the AAA insurance quote to get an apples to apples comparison with other insurance company quotes.

AAA has cutting edge technology making the claims process very smooth. Filing a claim was simple enough and flowed smoothly. I like the personal touch - having a specific insurance agent assigned to my policy, someone I can call with questions. However, AAA is doing away with the personal touch meaning assigning an actual insurance agent to policy holder. I feel that is a mistake. If making a change to a policy calls are routed to a call center. I am not comfortable with this and want the expertise of one specific human.

You need to be smart to find them since they do not force themselves down your throat with ads. When my son rolled our car, CSAA covered it and the towing completely. Even giving me more for the totaled value than the car would have sold for. My yearly rate only increased a couple hundred dollars the next year. After that I bumped a car in the rear in the city. I presented my evidence to CSAA showing that the other driver was exaggerating their damages. My insurance did not increase. Everyone at CSAA is easy to deal with, plus they can handle DMV things and they have maps.

But this time around, I have been fighting with AAA as they keep adding my adult kids to my car insurance policy although they still have their own policy and their own cars. My kids are 29 and 27 years old and they both live out of state. I think this is very unfair practice as if my son gets ticket I get punished on my insurance policy and he gets punished on his insurance policy. This is very unfair practice. They should remove them from my policy if I provide them the proof that they do not live with me. PLEASE HELP.

AAA periodically asked that I review my policies to make sure that the coverage is what I need to cover the vehicles as they age. This is good for both the company as well as the customer. Went online to open a claim for a cracked windshield. Checked a box to have them take care of the problem with a preferred provider. The repair company called, set an appointment time, came to my home and replaced the windshield. Best repair experience the I can remember for a long time. The only "catch" with Triple A in the state I live (this is NOT the case in all states) is that in the event someone is driving your car and there is an "event" you had better make sure they are insured, because the policy only pays the state minimum, which is $25,000 if legal action is enacted; after that the policy covering the driver you allowed to drive your car would cover anything above that. Again this is a state mandate in the state I live in and not in all states, so check it out and save yourself a ton of money.

I have been a member with AAA Auto club for the last 9 years and have had AAA membership when I was a teenager, so really on and off about 15 years. I was so excited when I was eligible, to be a plus member, when I received a letter in the mail on March 31, 2017, from a Lori **, member relations dept. stating the following:

"Although on average, members use only one road service call per year, we understand that there may be years when a member requires more than an average amount of service. To provide for this, members are generally permitted up to four (4) road services calls in a membership year. However, we may determine whether a member's road service usage is excessive. In making such determination, we may consider the cost associated with road service calls, call frequency over multiple membership years and other factors. We have determined that your road service usage is excessive and because of that, your membership has been downgraded as of 7/01/17. If applicable the unused portion of your dues will be refunded by check in a separate communication. Your downgraded AAA membership includes the following members: Primary member Shawn and Dakota."

Unbelievable. So basically even though I'm a on going year after year member. To a multi million dollar company, that has been around for as long there was auto service in this great United States of America, because I use the service that I pay for in advance, and own used cars, and only use the service that I pay for every year after year, they are saying you are poor, and you can only afford to own used cars that do breakdown, etc... etc... You have been a great member supporting a multi million dollar company, but instead of increasing my membership fee or offering me a opportunity to pay a little more, for their services, I'm being downgraded.

Sounds like discrimination up down and sideways. I had just had a conversation prior to receiving this letter with a representative, who stated to me that as long as I did not get use another service call before July 2017, I would be eligible for their upgrade to platinum status, instead I'm being downgraded. I think it's time for a YouTube video and see how many other faithful members have been downgraded because they too own used cars...

I was involved in an accident on 3/7/2017 when I was sideswiped by driver who fled the scene. The other party involved ran a red light to evade me, but fortunately I was able to get a photo of his/her license plate. I immediately reported the claim to AAA, as the damage seemed to be cosmetic only but was extensive.

I received a call the next day from a AAA representative who took my statement on the accident and asked additional questions. He then stated that he would be sending me a claim acknowledgment that outlines my coverage and deductibles. He was friendly and helpful in answering what questions he could, but unfortunately, the majority of my questions were outside of his capacity and I would have to discuss with the owning adjuster. I took my car for an estimate on Friday, 3/10/2017. It took nearly a week for AAA to respond, at which point they attempted to deny a portion of the claim based solely on photos provided by the body shop. I had to call multiple times and insist quite assertively for them to send an appraiser to the body shop to assess the damage in person.

After another week, they accepted the full claim and approved the estimate. Another issue I had was with the replacement of the car seats I had in the vehicle. I asked multiple times for clear instructions on how to get reimbursed for the car seat. One employee told me that I had to replace the seats with the exact make & model. My oldest is 5 and doesn't need a rear-facing convertible seat, and no one would confirm if they would reimburse me for a booster in lieu of the rear facing seat. Finally I got the "right" person by sheer luck who not only approved the reimbursement of my car seat replacement but also confirmed that my deductible was waived because I was able to provide the license plate # of the other vehicle involved.

I finally received my repaired vehicle yesterday, 4/12/2017. To date, I have never once spoken to the "owning adjuster" who was assigned to my claim, despite leaving 5 voicemail messages and emailing him multiple times. Every time I called AAA to ask to speak with a claims supervisor, the person who answered the call would say over and over, "I'm happy to provide you with that information" then proceed to evade and attempt to redirect my questions. Never once was I actually given the opportunity to speak with a supervisor. I've been a AAA policy holder for nearly 20 years and this is the first claim I've filed. Needless to say, I'll be shopping my home and auto insurance come renewal.

AAA is great at collecting your premiums, but when you need to collect on a claim, they disappear. In my case, I was hit in the rear while sitting still by another driver who miraculously had auto insurance. No problems you think, but boy was I incorrect once I finally got my adjusters involved. First off, they don't return phone calls and when you finally talk to someone, they will either give you bad information or just outright lie to you. They first told me to get an estimate, approved the estimate and had me schedule a time with the auto repair shop. I took time off work, scheduled a ride to get back as the repairs were going to take several days and when I dropped the car off, the repair shop told me they couldn't do the work because the car had been "totaled" by AAA.

I had actually been concerned with that and done research prior to moving forward with the claim and my car was clearly worth more than the repairs... not according to AAA. Their value was about 75% of the true value I had determined by Internet searches. It turns out they use something called "Mitchell Vehicle Valuation Report" which is the "standard of the industry" according to AAA.

In fact, it is complete non-transparent and contains old useless data that you cannot challenge or research. I sent my adjusters innumerable links to comparable autos that are currently for sale supporting my dollar amount, but they were unmoved and stuck to their story. I challenged the supervisor to find me one comparable car within 500 miles of my location for the value they were offering and he did make the attempt. He first found me 2 cars that were in a model year 2 years older than mine, and then found another car that was a different body style and had clearly been in a accident. I am still awaiting them to do this.

In this particular case, please remember that they were going to completely reimbursed for all of the loss by the person who hit me. They would rather cheat their own customer when it will cost them exactly nothing than treat them fairly. I would hate to see what would happen when I have a claim that would actually come out of their pocket. I am now bypassing them and going to the other party's insurance in order to be treated fairly. As soon as this claim is settled, I will be terminating my policy with them and moving to a reputable company. Again, use this company at your own risk... There is ample warning out there.

I had 2 seconds to decide what to do: (1) Slam on my breaks and get hit from behind, (2) Swerve to the right or left and crash into vehicles in those lanes, (3) Run over the tire debris hope for the best. I chose 3 and caused 5400.00 in body damage to my car. I filed a claim with my insurance and the adjuster said too bad so sad but this was over 51% my fault and I would have to pay the 1000.00 deductible and my insurance would go up. I said that wasn't fair but again, nothing in life is fair.

I took my car in to be repaired and got a rental car and got my car back on 3/15/17. I again said that I thought it wasn't fair that I should be at fault for debris on the FREEWAY. The insurance adjuster said I could speak to her supervisor. I took down the information and decided to call the next day as I needed time to calm down. I got a call from the adjuster today saying that after re-reviewing the claim, they determined that I wasn't at fault and that my insurance would NOT go up and they WOULD reimburse me the 1000.00 deductible.

I was pleasantly surprised. Then 30 minutes later the adjuster called back again and said that, although the accident is still not my fault, they were NOT going to reimburse me the deductible after all. I found the whole experience to be frustrating. I guess I should be grateful that ALLEGEDLY my insurance won't go up because of this. We shall see come renewal time in September.

I am a 25 years member of AAA. Today I learned something about Auto Insurance deductibles. I think most consumers believe the deductible is the amount of damage you may be required to pay. What I learned is your deductible is an amount that dictates whether AAA will assist you in collecting damages from the responsible party's insurance company... it now becomes the customer who was deemed not at fault to collect damages. In my case, I had a $1000 deductible, AAA had contact with the responsible party insurance company who will pay. The damage to my vehicle was $120 less than my $1000 deductible. So AAA contacts me to say it's now on me to collect the debt from the other insurance company... yes AAA dropped communicating on my behalf with another huge insurance company. I understand I have to pay the $880 cost upfront... but shouldn't AAA still follow up on my behalf?

This review is for AAA Southern California: I decided to switch to AAA for my auto, home and earthquake insurance based on their lower rates and past experience of receiving pretty good service (from many, many years ago). Times have definitely changed. I should have seen the red flag when I returned an agent's initial call (after I submitted a quote request online), left a voicemail and didn't hear back for days, even though his outgoing message promised a call back the same day. When we finally spoke, this agent was courteous and provided all the basic information regarding the premiums and coverages. When I finally decided to pull the trigger and switch, he was quick to send the electronic documents needed to initiate the policies. He was also quick to take my deposit.

But after reviewing the e-documents, I asked this sales agent to confirm a question about the earthquake policy. I didn't hear back for days with the excuse of it being busy because it was the end of the month. Red flag #2. Without ever signing any documents to initiate the earthquake policy -- because I never heard back regarding the changes that I wanted -- I later discovered that the earthquake policy was initiated and became in force anyway. Red flag #3. The lack of responsiveness was so frustrating that I decided to cancel all the new policies and go back to State Farm. That's when I discovered there were important details that the AAA agent omitted during the sign-up process, such as the high finance charges for installment payments (vs. one payment) and cancellation penalties (which I am trying to dispute now).

The bottom line is, although buying insurance is never pleasant, it definitely should not be purchased from a stranger in a call center with only one incentive: the commission. As for the post-sale customer service experience, no one in that part of the call center wants to deal with a former customer disputing a bogus charge either. And no one seems to have the power to do anything about it either. Not much service in customer service these days, at least not at AAA Southern California.

AAA Insurance (St. Louis based) has Not met my contract terms for a claim I filed with Tia ** after an accident 12/28/16 in which a rental car was needed, glasses busted and lost, 2 upside down passengers (one a chemo patient) were left stranded for 6 days without requested rental car and medical treatment were never provided, despite my making many attempts to contact them and receive proper recompense. None of the medical and lost items were provided. I have contacted the supervisors Mike ** (Total Loss) and Jeff ** (Claims). Still in the rental because Liz ** and Tisha ** mailed the check for the total loss rather than the overnight as I requested. This added 7 extra business days and 6 waiting days to even receive and clear the check. I have had pain and need my glasses.

I have been an over 3 year premium member with them, and they have bullied and tried to ruin my life by not providing the process steps, claims propriety, and have basically tried to eat my entire settlement by forcing me to continue to pay for a rental car they caused me to continue to drive due to their illegal and improper actions. All full and comprehensive coverage premiums were paid up at the time of the accident. Thank you, in advance for any and all help in resolving and making this right for my passenger and me!

I called AAA East Auto Insurance department and received a quote for my auto. I told the person that I was speaking with that I wanted an exact quote and had her to run my driver record and Consumer Info. The lady I spoke with was very thorough and gave me a quote for full coverage on 2005 - Toyota Camry for $407 or a prepay of $387.

Then comes the fun part. I spoke with her the next day or so to express my interest in purchasing the coverage. All of a sudden she tells me my current insurance company State Farm showed a lapse in coverage for approximate 10-days in March of 2016. I knew this was not correct and told her I contact State Farm to correct the matter and because her information was incorrect I might just stay with State Farm because a lapse in coverage usually means you pay a higher premium. She quickly stated I would be paying the same premium. I called State Farm and they told me they show no lapse in coverage and did not know where AAA was getting their information from. I also called a couple of other reputable companies and they ran my driver/credit information a said they showed not record of a lapse in coverage.

Today I received a call from AAA from another representative who told me the first person that I spoke with was a new agent in training which I did not believe and I told him AAA credibility was damaged with me. However, he went on to ask me question as to when I purchased the car and I asked him why he said he would be able to calculate the correct mileage. I told give him the same information that I gave the first representative (approx. 3500mi/yr.) and he then told me she had recorded 900mi I told him I did not believe that either.

My reason for not believing him was because the first agent and myself had several conversations and mileage was discussed extensively. He also wanted to know what premium I was paying with State Farm and I refused to give him that information, his rebuttal was he wanted to know if AAA would be saving me any money. I told him I did not like giving out that sort of information so it can be manipulated the company's advantage. He re-phrased his question about what I was paying State Farm and I told him he just re-framed the same question. I just refused to answer.

At some point he made the comment that the information his company was able to obtain from State Farm was limited. He then told me my premium would cost me instead of $407 for 6-mo. it would be $445. In essence AAA was trying to find some slick way of charging me more for my premium since the lapse in coverage did not work they tried the mileage calculation strategy. Too bad the last person that I spoke with did not have all of his facts together as to why I called AAA in the first place, I told the first agent that I spoke with my primary reason for wanting to leave State Farm was poor customer service. Of course if I could save money that would be good. In summary I do not trust this company.

AAA 9 Charleston St Wellsboro PA 16901. They are very dishonest to their customers. According to their tax chart and guidelines it says (I have the papers) "Pennsylvania will recognize a credit for local sales and use tax paid to another state, only if the tax is collected by that state and paid under a provision of state law. This chart does not include local sales tax rates." So according their guidelines they are suppose to count the local tax, use tax and the chart is only state tax. According to them the only follow the chart which is state tax to register your vehicle. When we were in CO we paid 2.9% state 1% county 3% city. Both county and city taxes are considered local tax.

Their guidelines state they recognize and will use it to deduct. Well they did not do so according to the employees. All they use is state where their tax guidelines and documents state otherwise. They are thieves by doing this and breaking the law. So they charge you additional tax as if it wasn't ever paid in full. We have now paid 10% sales tax to register a vehicle. And when you tell them in the office "no I got insurance already we don't need any just registering today" man they get mad and then let you know you have to pay an additional $70 because you went there to register, unless you want to sign up for one of their credit cards. LOL no thank you I don't want or need a credit card. Cash is fine with me.

I will never do business with them again. There are other places to register each year that will cost less in gas to drive to then to go in their building and be charged extra by them. They are a horrible company. If you want a customer to be willing to want your insurance and additional business you don't charge them additional money when they come in. I would have considered their insurance when ours expires in 6 months but after the additional crooked charges I will no longer consider getting their insurance or anything else for that manner.

Saying that I have to go through a claims department and see who's to blame here when it's obvious my car was damaged on the back of their truck on the way to our destination.

In between all this, I scraped the side of my car on a boulder that was out of my line of vision. This was my fault and the only car damage claim, other than comprehensive, that I have filed in 45 years of driving. This alone raised my rates 40%. Yikes! I know the not at fault claims do not raise your rates, but what would they have risen to if they did??? I have three vehicles insured, a 2009 Hyundai, 1998 Dodge truck and a 2008 horse trailer. I can't imagine what drivers would pay if they scraped up a new car costing three times what my vehicles cost together!!!

My girlfriend got T-boned by some sorority girl who was texting and driving through a red light turn a week ago. Our car was dented and the passenger door won't open, and because it's over 10 years old, the claims agent said it's enough damage to count as a total loss. We've been dealing with that news accordingly, and my girl has been having to bum rides to work for a week now (since there is also some fluid leaking and she doesn't want to risk driving it). She filed the claim immediately after the incident, and we provided the info for a witness that stopped and confirmed it wasn't my girl's fault.

Almost a week later, and multiple attempts to contact the agent again, we finally got a hold of her manager who at last directed us back to the claims agent... and she hasn't even touched the case. It had been 4 business days since the claim was filed. I don't know if she is overworked, or just a bad worker, but she hadn't even attempted to contact the sorority chick's insurance company yet. It has been a week now, and through no fault of our own, my girlfriend has been having to bum rides to work AND had to go to the chiropractor because her shoulder has been in pain.

We are simply waiting on our claims agent to DO SOMETHING and help us resolve the current issues of a) having a car that is apparently "totaled", b) shoulder pain, and c) not being at fault for any of it, yet having to deal with these consequences without any sign of hope via payment from the sorority chick's insurance.

AAA, I used to think you were worth the cost, but honestly a lawyer is looking like it would provide more value and expediency than your ineffective claims agents.

This shop because it's a handicap van sales shop that sells handicapped vans and repairs them is a hour and half drive from where I live. They picked up my van, drove it that far and dropped it off. I called AAA to see since the truck was already down there and the fact was I couldn't go with the truck when it was picked up because I'm in a power wheelchair and can't get up in the truck and to they won't anybody ride in a car or van that's being towed I couldn't go. I have to have a handicap van and while my van was going to be tied up for days I was going to rent a van till mine was finished with the repairs.

I ask AAA if the truck could bring the rental van back to me since AAA wouldn't let me ride in my van to go with driver. AAA said "No." The truck was coming back to Birmingham, AL. Anyways so with gas being as high as it is here's what's so stupid about AAA. The truck drove a hour and half one way so why couldn't they just bring me the van. If you can get up in the truck one can go with your auto but, in my case I can't ride in my own van because of AAA policies. I couldn't get out of my wheelchair to ride in the truck so a handicapped person with AAA hasn't the rights as their other customers but yet we have to pay the same yearly prices. This sucks. I could see it if that truck wasn't coming back to the same place it left from.

As soon as my time's up with AAA I'll never renew my account with them. All of you might think that just because I'm handicapped and can't do as everybody else can it my bad luck. Well, This could have been you in my condition and how would you have felt stuck without a way to get around. If I had to go to a doctor or hospital then look what it would cost me. AAA's insured driver put a huge dint in my car, while she was visiting Reno. I had no dings in my car previous to this incident, and take pride in parking away from other cars. Nov. 19, 2016 Thanksgiving week, a lady parked her car further to one side of the identified parking area; which this day had very strong winds greater than 20 mph. Her door blew open and damaged my car. She could not have closed her door without having to pull and scrape my door again. At this time, she knew that she caused damage to my car; no question.

There were two other people with me; we waited an hour for her to return to her car. When she opened her door, the designer area of the door aligned 100% with the damage on my car. She hurried and closed her door, as I took pictures. She lied to her insurance, AAA, and said that she did not cause the damage. AAA sent adjusters to measure my car damage and hers. The adjuster, whom obtained the measurements, also confirmed that the file indicates that the measurements align. AAA is saying the measurements are off by 5". I know 100% that the measurements align, so I asked for the measurements and pictures; AAA never sent the file.

I did my own investigation; going to a car dealer measuring the same make, model, year of her car and proved that the same model car door aligns to the damage on my car, there was no measurement difference - it aligned 100%. I sent the info to AAA, and never received a response. AAA is straight out lying about the damage not aligning. They said I have to get with my insurance. Why would I pay a deductible for damage that is confirmed as caused by their client? How can an insurance company straight out lie? I am not done yet, when I know I am right, have witnesses, and pictures. The statement at the end of this site submission states: "I understand that ConsumerAffairs has zero-tolerance policy on fake reviews" - this should also state "zero-tolerance policy for AAA Insurance dishonesty!"

I know insurance companies are out for all they can get, but the experience I just had increased my awareness of that fact. A gentleman plowed into my car and totaled it. For weeks I waited on a response from AAA. It took forever for them to look at the car. They determined the damage to be the fault of their insured and told me to take it to the body shop. Now mind you, half of my front end was hanging on the ground. When I finally convinced them they needed to send a tow, they said they took it to the repair shop. The repair shop made their assessment of damage and tried for a week to get a AAA adjuster to come to the shop. The adjuster came, took notes, and then said he would be in touch. Well again, the body shop had to pursue them for days.

I got a call from AAA that said they determined my car was totaled and they wanted me to get my personal belongings. We did so, but another agent from AAA called and asked us to get our belongings. I told them we had gotten them 3 days before, but I asked how long it would be before they would make an offer. After listing about 3 or 4 action items they'd have to do on their end, I told them that I had a rental I was paying extra on because the rental company they sent me to did not have a luxury vehicle (like the one their client totaled). I said I would take it back and get a luxury car from another rental company. They obviously have some type of "love affair" with Enterprise. The agent said for me that she would check with Enterprise and if they did not have a comparable car they would cover the car I had. I called Enterprise later that day and they said they heard from AAA. Well, IT TOOK 40 DAYS for them to make the first offer.

We promptly took the car back at which time Enterprise asked for $410. Unbelievable. They claim that the agent who said she would cover the car I had never called. This was distinctly different from what I was told when I called earlier. These people are absolute crooks. They claim it is lack of communication. But AAA is hiding its hand. Enterprise is in some kind of way a bedfellow in this foolishness. I knew there was a reason that I dumped their auto insurance years ago. Absolutely no integrity! If anyone ever has to deal with them, I would advise that they record all phone calls and get as much in writing as possible. Having names of people seemingly doesn't work in that they deny they ever said what they know they said! So RECORD any convos with them!!!!

We came to a dirt road, roughly a mile away from the paved one. I wasn't worried about getting stuck, I had AAA peace of mind. Everyone made it through except me. Lost control of my car and went into a mud hole. Several people came over offering to pull me out. But, I didn't know where the hooks to my car was.

I was in ankle deep mud and water, tried to look underneath my car, couldn't find them. I called AAA. I had been a customer for 10 years. The man on the phone was rude and sarcastic. He told me that my AAA MEMBERSHIP WAS WORTHLESS. HOWEVER HE COULD REFER ME TO A TOWING SERVICE. He did not know the rate or any cost of that company.

HE OFFERED NO HELP AT ALL. NO RIDE HOME (WE WERE FIVE MILES AWAY), NOTHING. He made it very clear that since I was (it started at ten feet) sixty feet off of paved road by the time I got off the phone, I was on my own and the peace of mind I had paid for ten years was useless. A kind man and his wife gave us a ride home. I was covered head to toe in mud. So, I rode in the back of his truck. I called AAA again and got some goofy kid, who kept saying she was sorry. But, I should have been told that AAA doesn't go off pavement more than forty feet.

EVEN THEIR OWN PEOPLE DON'T KNOW THEIR POLICY. Susan and I went out the next day and dug our car out. We were about one hundred fifty feet from pavement. On the third, I called AAA member services and cancelled my membership. I ranted and raved for at least five minutes. The woman I spoke to picked her words like a lawyer. She had been here before. NOTHING WAS OFFERED. She asked me if I would like to talk to someone. I shouted back, "WHO? SANTA CLAUS? These people are nothing more than another half assed insurance company. She denied me and declined to assist me in any way. I was experiencing financial hardship and considered paying my renewal fee through my credit card. She told me that their policy changed and she couldn't help me at all. She said that I had to call the tow truck guy and pay out of pocket myself.

I hate AAA from Southern Cali. The reps are so rude, have attitude and don't care at all for their customers. I am transferring my membership to Oregon. Going to give it one last try. If I keep getting treated this way? I will take my business and membership elsewhere. AAA used to be really good with everything. I've noticed a huge decline with not only customer service but the demeanor and the total package. I have GEICO for renters insurance. I pay $80 annually for my membership through AAA and $116. Just wow!

Periodically, I check to make sure I'm paying a competitive rate. Previously, I had State Farm for 20 years, maybe filing one claim. When I switched to AAA, I cut my premium in half, with better coverage. You will not be wasting your time getting a quote from them. Their rates are great, and their customer service is the best!

On Sunday December 25, 2016 our car broke down in Leadville, CO. I called AAA assuming their typical responsiveness. I was called back by a AAA representative who informed me that all AAA contract service providers had declined our call for help. The choices given by AAA were to find a place to stay in Leadville and wait until the following day for a tow truck or pay for our own tow and then try to get reimbursement from AAA. I'd never been declined service before, nor ever read or heard that my contract with AAA could be null and void at the discretion of the drivers. Conditions were cold, windy and snowy, however the roads were safe for travel. Friends drove 5 hours and over 200 miles out of their way to get us home to our family for the holiday. We'll be looking for another way to get roadside assistance, since it appears AAA is all about getting your money but not following through with consistent service.

Remember it's still raining, dropped me off at my rv. Then she came back about 45 min later, gave me a sandwich and said she would drive me home. She was like 80+. I said ok. I just spent about an hour and a half waiting on AAA and still have a car that won't start. Less than a year ago I bought a replacement battery from AAA along with the extended warranty. Two weeks ago the battery died, so AAA sent out a technician to give me a jump start. Today, once more, the battery was dead. After waiting about 50 minutes for a technician to show up, a third party service arrives and asks, "where's the car that needs a jump". He then explained that he does not replace batteries and walks away with an annoyed look on his face. I guess he didn't like having his time wasted. (His name was Ken if anyone cares.)

At this point I call back AAA. The nice lady on the phone informs me that AAA does not perform battery service after a certain time. My initial call had been over 45 minutes previous to the cut off. Hoping there might be something more that could be done, I ask to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor informs me that although a service call was placed in their system before the 11 PM cut off, no one responded to it. The only hope of getting a new battery was to wait until the next day. Here I am, having waited an hour and a half, with a car that will not start. AAA service and their equipment (the battery) have been a huge disappointment. I'm starting to wonder why people pay for this service when most cellphone companies offer the same thing for nearly half the price.

Roadside is great however be careful once you use four tows in one year. You're out of a tow and stuck without a ride. The price is high especially if you do not use those tows and pick the service for 100 miles tows or more. I was misinformed by more than two of AAA employees more than once. Too many times I have been told one thing and found it to not be true. I have used AAA for 5-10 years because I do road trips that are risky and quite often in places with little to no population and 50 or more mile away from any kind of auto services. AAA charges near $100 a year, in addition to your regular auto insurance policy rate, for four automobile tows up to 200 miles each and a locksmith call, so I have been told on three separate occasions.

However when I needed the locksmith coverage and used it thinking that I would be reimbursed I was told that I had already used my four tows and therefore I would not be reimbursed. Oh yah, did I mention that I was told to send in the paperwork by fax and I would be reimbursed within ten days. So I, not having my own fax machine, tediously recopied and refaxed the locksmith receipt several times and then even emailed it upon AAA's request only to be told that they would not cover the charge because I had actually used the roadside four times that year. The sad truth is that two of the tows were simple roadside services like gas and a tire change on the side of the road, while one of the four tows was not even 5 miles away.

Most auto insurances include those services in their policy, anyway. Why bother paying $100 or more for roadside coverage to use maybe one tow that other insurances don't cover in their policies??? Also the employees literally lied and told me that the locksmith coverage was in addition to the four tows allotted per year. The last even antagonizing me with repeated demands to resend paperwork for a locksmith coverage that AAA had no intention of paying for.

I received a Ticket shortly after getting AAA Insurance, so I needed to speak with a Customer Service Agent to see what I could do to better my rates and lessen the effect of the Moving Violation. When I called to speak to a AAA Agent - I didn't have any issues or problems. She was very helpful.

Very easy claims processing, great customer service, helps you to make the filing easier and walks you through step by step. Couldn't ask for a better company. Thank you. Rating its coverage is as easy as making apple pie, slice it, mush it, bake it and eat it. Simple. Any two year old could understand this process. Value is an important thing to have. I have a couple of pennies saved up to pay bills but this is definitely worth every cent paid in. Customer service is the best in the entire whole wide world. I would highly recommend this company for everything it stands for. They changed a flat tire for me once.
