I am a first time customer with AAA.. and this will most definitely be my last time with this company! My vehicle was hit by a careless driver rushing around a vehicle on a narrow residential street. I submitted photos, videos and called AA police to the scene in support of my claim of this accident. The agent assigned Steven ** was horrible with returning phone calls, researching liability and holding the other person and insurance liable as they had no evidence of innocence. My frustration of waiting for three and a half weeks for an update from Steven **, I left a message for his supervisor Norberto to which I am still waiting for a return call. This company lacks professionalism and entirety as it relates to customers. Seek a company that stands up for their customers through as this company and agent does NOT.

Shiomara ** has to be one of the worst agents I've dealt with. Very unfriendly and unprofessional. Wanted to quote me for 2 vehicles even though I'm selling one and stated such. I still have insurance on the one I'm selling as it's still registered to me and parked on the road, but they refused to take that into consideration, all because it's against the company policy.

Tasha, underwriter, required me to submit a form involving about 50 photos of my home. Said she didn't get it. Emailed her my receipt. She canceled my homeowners policy. Nobody answers the phone. When I tried to leave a voicemail I got "mailbox is full" and "this mailbox is not monitored". Nobody was answering the phone, there's no way to leave a message and no way to email. They don't WANT to talk to you. I canceled my auto insurance as well and now I have home and auto with The Hartford.

I would never recommend AAA to anyone. I was a dedicated customer for 37 years. Sure, there were cheaper, less expensive insurance companies out there, but I had a great agent and was always treated with respect and like an important customer. After my guy retired, they would not assign me a new agent, was told to just call the service center -- well, that was the beginning of the end. I stuck it out for over 5 years, but last year was the last straw. I moved on to a different company with an Agent. I pay less, have better coverage, deal with excellent customer service, and not forced to pay for a membership that is useless. It's useless ---> sure, it comes with tow service, fix a tire service, etc -- but, what they fail to mention is that you have to be prepared to wait over 3 hours for said service.

When we first obtained home and auto insurance with AAA 7 years ago, they were super. Good customer service, good communication as long as everything was going well. As soon as you had to put in an auto insurance claim, things went downhill. I have made numerous attempts to contact them to get information and they just don't respond. 3 voice mails, 2 emails and 1 long letter were all sent asking for information on claims, and NO ONE EVER RESPONDED. They are, to me, the worst insurance company ever due to poor or no communication and non-responsiveness. I would NOT recommend them to anyone.

My insurance agent (Julie **) did not contact me nor did anyone with AAA. Very disappointed in AAA, NO LOYALTY!

I was a loyal AAA customer for many years. Then they left me stranded in a very bad situation. Just getting the call in was a problem. Then the truck was not sent. Finally after a full day of waiting in the middle of nowhere I had to hitchhike to get to a destination where I could then deal with my stranded car. Not only this but the remainder on my policy, of $70, was sent to collections. I also note how they send advertisement that looks like a bill, very deceiving practice. Do not touch any service from AAA.

On August 17, 2025 I called AAA to have a dead battery replaced. My Plus membership with them states that battery service is included. The technician didn't have any batteries with him when he arrived. He said they 'no longer carry AAA batteries' to service called because AAA doesn't provide them. He offered to jump start or I could buy a battery nearby and he could install it. Since the battery was jumped the day before and died overnight it wasn't a good option so I ended up buying a battery at nearby AutoZone and he installed it and charged $125 for installation 'because it wasn't a AAA battery'. When I called AAA to ask why I was charged to install a battery they failed to provide as requested they just went around in circles telling me that since it wasn't AAA battery I had to pay installation fee to a 3rd party provider.

When I asked them why didn't they provide a battery as I requested, they said it was subject to availability. Another nuance is that, had it been a AAA battery, it would have had a AAA warranty on it that would have 36 months free replacement. So, I ask you, why would AAA bother to provide a battery, if they would be on the hook to then provide a free replacement warranty on it for 36 months? Seems to me like it's more convenient not to provide a battery than to provide one. Therefore, they don't, as per the technician, right? When I asked the AAA customer service rep where would I have been able to buy a AAA battery, they said, from the service provider of course, if available, of course. How convenient!

The rep on the phone and their supervisor clearly didn't care and they made it very clear that I had no recourse. I couldn't dispute the charge on my cc because I paid installation fee not to AAA but to a 3rd party provider who actually was pretty good and arrived fairly quickly so I can't penalize the guy for doing his job. It's AAA that found a very clever way to get out of providing a service they claim and advertise to provide but don't in reality.

My experience with AAA was the worst I ever had and completely unacceptable! I will be following with the Better Business Bureau. I got into a car accident and called AAA to have my car towed since was tire was damaged. The AAA gentleman Sigh started to taking pictures of my car and I said oh you guys take pictures and he stated in a sarcastic way the reason is because people may accuse them of damaging their cars and I said ok. I never had AAA tow my car, all of the time I needed a jump starter or by a new battery from them so that was new to me. People ask me questions at my job of things they don’t know and I gladly answer them. I don’t talk to them like they are stupid.

When I went inside his truck, I noticed a check engine light and informed him of it. He said it was nothing and that AAA would not want to fix and that was interesting the company you work for wouldn’t fix it. He was constantly cutting me off saying no, no it is not an issue. (check engine light can mean a lot it thing BS) I told him that’s fine but it’s something that he may want to look at because people need to feel safe and he became extremely rude that he will miss 5 days and he threatened to drop me somewhere else. He can’t do that and have the right to ask a question and he was supposed to drop me at my home address. I asked him for his name and he gave me a different one and if he could spell him he ignored me. He then called a representative from AAA saying that I said was not feeling safe which was not true.

I informed the lady on the phone that I asked the gentleman for his name he refused to spell which was Saint as and he said it’s not a hard name as if I was stupid and spelled. Now since someone else was there on the line Sigh while spelling with so clearly he does know who’s to spell his name. I then asked where he was going and he put the phone on my face and ignored me. I asked the AAA’s representative Barry on the phone that I don’t know where I am going as he is refusing tell me. He talked to me like I was stupid saying look it’s 300 feet which is obviously not the address. He then told Barry that he was giving her the address as the whole time he was driving me God knows where. He then dropped me a Sonoco gas station and left me there with my car.

I had to call AAA and they reverted me to the same Towing which they were not supposed to who declined and I didn’t want them as well. I waited for 2 hours and call them back again and they had no ETA. I have never been left and treated in a such inhumane way and especially after getting into a car accident. I was supposed to be dropped at the location I informed them but instead left me somewhere I didn’t know they can’t do that!!! If I was man he would have not treated me that way. The Supervisor Kristine was very mean as well, she wouldn’t let me know the ETA for the next available driver!

Just like the previous reviews for this company. I would give this a 0 stars if possible. I have had Triple AAA Colorado since 2015 and this company has steadily gone downhill. Today, I had a dead battery and my vehicle sitting in a parking lot. I started a service request a little before Noon. No one got back to me and it is now 2:39 pm. I had to find someone to jump my vehicle and the worse part is I could not even speak to someone to cancel this request. Recorded message continuously routed me away from a representative, even though I loudly said this over and over. I then tried to cancel this request by the app you download onto your phone. Couldn't even log in to the app. I am done with these terrible experiences and this is nowhere close to having 'peace of mind' that this company will be there in an emergency and is why I've been paying for this years now.

I called them today and they told me that the would charge me $670 dollars ALL because they did not changed and modified my policy when I called them with my inquiry a month ago on 7/8/25 to be exact.

I was angry with the manager Miriam and told her to CANCEL everything at once and cancel my auto pay because I was not in Agreement in paying them that amount and I would not pay them. I also have a life insurance policy with AAA, I think, I'm paying for it but AAA has yet to send me a hard copy of terms and policy information. The agent told me they sent an email with all the package information but I never got it. They had confused my son's email with my email and they're emailing my son sensitive info I didn't want him to have. They didn't apologize. They claimed they corrected it and sent the hard copy out but I never received it. AAA does offer HORRIBLE service and follows through with that but only that. Get your insurance somewhere else.

If you live in MI, AAA Auto Insurance is not for you. They will gladly take your money every month, but when it comes time to pay out, you are nothing but a statistic in a pile of papers shoved in the "We don't care about you" folder, right next to the "we won't pay for that" file cabinet. I had an adjuster named Fantasia ** and an appraiser named Michelle **, an insurance specialist, LOL... who were both great if you just listened to them and didn't ask any questions. I was not at fault in my accident in any way, so I had many questions and concerns!

However, they chose the revolving door OF blame game and bully you into submission, tactics on me. I felt very much a victim to a terrible insurance system and in no way felt like a valued customer. When people stop treating others as human beings and instead as an inconvenience, you are no longer a client, just a paycheck. I hope this helps others choose another insurance company that may treat you better. I am currently looking! DO BETTER AAA!!!

Buyer beware - Bait & switch pricing. During the first week of April 2025, I contacted AAA for a price on Auto insurance. They replied back with pricing of $3751. I signed their contract and paid this price in full. A few weeks later, I received a notice in the mail that due to AAA's "mistake" in applying a discount criteria, I owed them $660 additional payment. I had already canceled my other car insurance which was cheaper than this 'new' total price they were trying to charge me. This is clearly fraudulent practices and bait/switch pricing. I asked that this be reviewed by management and they are not honoring their original quoted price, despite the contract in place that was signed. I've been cheated and now have no choice but to pay after they baited me into this offer.

AAA rep stated I was in the clear of any chargers per my request to temporarily remove autopay due to a family emergency. Due to the incompetence and negligence of the rep I spoke with that day, this request was not met and heavily inconvenienced causing my personal banking account to overdraft. I have plenty of notice and still got screwed over.

Explained the situation to two reps and nothing could be done, asked for a supervisor and much less help with extremely poor customer service not even trying to understand that this was the fault of an AAA employee not mine which she childishly tried to argue like some worthless political scumbag. Wasn't having it as I am disabled and needless to say have never encountered such unprofessionalism from an auto insurance agency. Never again. This is after almost a decade being with this company. We thought having AAA would be a great service while our children were away at school only to find out their service men are unskilled, untrained people filling the seats. They damaged the wheel on our daughter's car and making filing a claim and paying the claim impossible. The process is so difficult to navigate that you just get aggravated and give up as your time is worth more than the claim. In short, AAA is a scam and nothing but a money grab. When I try to cancel, they won't because the policy is in my oldest child's name, who doesn't have a pot to piss in but they have no problem charging my card without asking. Having this coverage isn't worth the aggravation, and this is why their ratings are so bad online.

On July 11,2025 I visited a AAA location on Vista way in Oceanside. California, to renew my disabled placard for my son. I clearly stated that I had a blue placard, which had expired. I also brought my son’s doctor’s information, assuming it might be needed. The agent I spoke with insisted I could not proceed without my son’s birth certificate. I explained that I did not have it on me, so I had to call my daughter and have her drive to the office to bring it. This caused unnecessary delay and inconvenience.

While waiting, the agent consulted with another woman sitting nearby, who verbally confirmed the birth certificate was required. Once the birth certificate arrived, the agent looked up my son in the system and discovered he already had a permanent placard—something I had tried to explain earlier when I said the placard was blue (not red). She should have searched his name from the start before demanding additional documents.

Even more troubling, she told me that doctor information was not required, yet still took and kept both the medical form and the birth certificate, claiming she needed it “for the record.” This contradicts DMV and AAA policy. There was no valid reason to collect or retain those documents for a permanent placard that already existed in the system.

This experience reflects a lack of training, poor service, and misinformation. I am requesting:

    1. A formal acknowledgment of this complaint.
    2. Clarification on AAA’s actual policy for placard renewal/address updates.
    3. Assurance that the documents submitted (birth certificate and medical form) were not improperly retained or stored.

    4. Staff retraining on how to check DMV records before requesting sensitive documents.

I expect a response confirming these issues have been reviewed. I will be reporting this to BBB, DMV and Dept Of Insurance!

Unfortunately she had an accident while here and after numerous call attempts to AAA with no answer, then dropped calls without calling us back, we finally spoke with someone who told us our daughter actually had NO coverage because she was not removed but EXCLUDED from our policy. Lucky for AAA the initial conversation to remove her was not recorded so it’s their word against ours.

The car was totaled and they refused to even pay for towing despite our memberships. They denied the entire claim. Their incompetence saved them money but at what ultimate cost? They are losing an excellent customer and hopefully more will follow, as we CANNOT in good conscience recommend this company. We found better coverage elsewhere at a significant savings. Perhaps the worse company to work with when trying to set up a new auto policy for a new release vehicle. It's April 21, 2025, and they don't even have information in their systems yet for 2025 vehicles. It's almost mid-year and they're this far behind. The technology that they are using is stuck in the stone ages - it should be as simple and direct as allowing a customer to log-in, replace the vehicle information, and receive an updated quote. Instead, having to call in, talk to a representative, and have them submit a request to a separate department to add the vehicle, and then wait to get a call back is literally like being sent back to 1969 to a switchboard officer.

Beware of AAA insurance. They made an unauthorized charge on my account after I disputed a bill with an unauthorized and unknown increase after removing two vehicles from my policy because I had sold them. I was not told at the time of removal that I would be charged an additional $413 on my next bill, bringing the total to $943. In fact, I was told before I decided to do it that I should do it ASAP to avoid paying for the insurance on those two vehicles before the next bill was due! So tell me why the bill not only didn’t go down after removing two vehicles, but increased by $413!!! I took my policy off autopay before the due date, but when I checked my account about an hour ago, they had somehow still processed the payment!!!

They claim because they sent me an email and documentation in the mail, that this was my fault. But it’s in small writing for one, and two, I didn’t notice until I actually checked them, which is why I disputed it in the first place. But I’m so busy at work and at home that apparently I didn’t notice it quick enough! I keep telling them it’s ridiculous because I’m making decisions based on what they’re telling me over the phone. I’ve trusted AAA for over 18 years. I’m in disbelief that they’d do this to me. I’m on the phone trying to get a hold of a supervisor, which of course they’re making it VERY difficult to do. I’ve already canceled my renewal with them, found a policy with the same coverage for half the cost they were charging me, and I disputed the charge with my bank. Ridiculous!!!

They're like, oh yeah, we can do that cause they kept. Not being able to run my payment. Then I got in a car accident and it was not my fault and I didn't want to deal with the other insurance. I wanted them to deal with them for me. They've strongly recommended, didn't I wasted 2 months fight with the other insurance company from no one offer me a 1000 bucks in my car, then I had to go through my insurance and I got 5000. So yeah, don't get me wrong. It's okay on the return, but the fact that you recommended me to deal with the other company and lose 2 months of my time with a wrecked car.

No fun and then they did something I don't understand I've never seen it before. They charged me tax on the car. I sold to them, which I am not sure if that's legal I've never, ever Had an accident where car got sold out and they charge me the tax. They're buying the card from me. Saw no objects on the road before or after, but there are high winds here, could have been something blown in front of my vehicle. I called and was told that's comprehensive $250 deductible. Then a claims officer I was told to call said it was collision, $1000 deductible. I disagreed and went to the AAA CEO on LinkedIn. He had people look into it, only ending up with the same wrong conclusion.

Here's what it says on this page - AAA’s comprehensive coverage pays for vehicle damages from disasters and mishaps like animal collisions, earthquakes, fallen objects and more, while the collision option covers damage if you’ve hit another object (car, mailbox, wall, etc.) or flipped over. When told who to call after receiving a letter I called two people who were NOT in the office. I investigated other similar companies and came across this - "Despite its extensive coverage options and added perks, AAA has a grade of F with the Better Business Bureau due to a large number of unresolved customer complaints." ** AAA has BIG problems and they're losing me.

Two weeks later I had corresponded with AAA representative but she had no idea l]the adjuster dept had done nothing.

She lied about when the house was built, when it got a new roof and she wrote us for $10,000 dollars worth of content insurance, knowing full well that we rented that house out furnished right down to the silverware. Well we had a fire. The house had to be torn down to the studs and the entire contents for pack in, storage and pack out came to $30,000. If we wanted the contents cleaned it was another $20,000.

To make a long story short, because we signed on the dotted line we essentially were told that "it sucks and you got screwed and it is your fault that she screwed you and lied on the initial quote". We had to go and get a $20,000 loan in order to get our contents back. I will bad mouth this company every chance I get. I have been a member for 20 years. Well I guess they don’t care if you are stuck out in the country and need a tow. Yesterday I spent more than 12 hrs trying to get a tow for my car to go from my house to a business in Gainesville Florida. After 7 calls I still was lied to about the tow has been dispatched. Nobody cared! Finally I called a company in Chiefland who could have towed me last night but they did not affiliate themselves with AAA because of the poor service people have been given on weekends of nights. I called them and they came to my house within an hour and took my car to get repaired in Gainesville. Great customer service and trusting.

My car was fixed today due to prompt service from the tow company. I was told since my car was at my house that I was a low priority and they don’t have enough drivers to help out of Gainesville if you live in Bronson or Trenton or Chiefland. So I was told if you don’t feel safe to leave the keys in your car then call the police!! Like they have enough problems. I don’t recommend them anymore to customers who are stuck on the side of the road cause they don’t care. Well so long AAA.

On top of this all Agent Ashley took a personal call in the middle of our conversation and made me wait 4-5 on hold while she took this call. Now you're just a number and you get whoever is answers the phone if you can get someone on the phone at all. Today I tried calling my local office and the number was disconnected. Took me some time to find the customer service 888 number then after dealing with the AI I finally got transferred. Waited 15 mins then when I finally got a hold of someone, the call was disconnected. They used to be the best value now they're as bad as a broker.

Buyer beware! AAA is not the same AAA of the 90s. They raised my rates over $2000 and then claimed it was due to natural increases in premiums just before renewal cycle. When I made a partial payment they accepted the payment, processed the money and even updated my account. Audaciously, they proceeded to send me a letter asking me for the rest of the money but the truth was they had already cancelled the policy and had planned to send my partial payment back to me; but not before they had collected the money and the earned interest of course.

I consider all of this as predatory practices that force policyholders to engage in this chaotic dance of “Do I have the same policy or not” and “Why is my policy 20% higher just before renewal”. I was not given a grace period nor a valid explanation of the increase. In fact, they backtracked to cover their tracks with a multitude of emails to me.

Then offered a grace period after they had accepted my partial payment which seems very confusing to me- Why would you accept a payment? Any payment if you’re going to cancel the Policy. My thoughts: they took advantage of the fact that I had an annual policy, they increased the policy beyond a reasonable amount – over $2000 and with no reasonable explanation, and then proceeded to take advantage of me when I made the parcel payment. It was not honest, it was not transparent, and possibly the transaction was illegal. These shenanigans by AAA need to stop because it’s causing my rates to go up! Today is a sad day for me and I hope others don’t suffer my fate.

I was happy with AAA for the first 2 years of my policy, the rates were reasonable and the coverage was better than expected. By the third year my rates began to increase and my discounts began to disappear. I contacted AAA for an explanation of the increase and I was told that I drove slightly over the estimated mileage and it affected my rate and that rates in CA had increased. I am aware of the rate increase for California but several other companies have quoted significantly less for more coverage. I have two vehicles under the policy, their membership, a life insurance policy, a clean driving record, and my car is a 2017. I was also told that if I removed the second vehicle, I would be subject to an even higher premium. I am switching. I am over AAA, I will keep the membership (even that is going downhill), but leaving this overpriced company.

I’ve had AAA for almost 10 years and it’s gone downhill BIG TIME. I was in an accident and AAA took 3 MONTHS just to tell me if my car was totaled or not. The shop it was sent to was AAA endorsed and had written up a statement of repair costs within a week. I had to call AAA so many times to follow up to get an answer, which took 3 months because they are “backed up” on total losses. They actually kept changing the price of what would consider my car a total loss or not and it seemed very shady, the agent even told me it was the shop that was making changes, that was not true when I confirmed with the shop.. Plus you only get 30 days with a rental car which is useless if AAA takes 3 months to make up their mind, you’re out of a vehicle for 2 months.

Eventually I finally got my payout and got another car, and immediately updated my policy with the new vehicle, the same day I purchased it. When it came time for renewal, I received a letter that said my policy was terminated because “I never updated them with a new vehicle from the total loss of my 2017 Jetta”. The 2017 Jetta IS THE NEW VEHICLE!! The letter also said “we know this is upsetting but this decision follows a thorough review of your policy”. Clearly NOT! So I had to call and have them rewrite my policy which took many transfers and hours of being on hold, being told I’d get a call back and never did.

I had to call them and explain the situation over and over and over again. The agent sends me a policy to be signed, and it has so much incorrect information. There’s family members names on my policy that should not be on there. Wrong phone number. Wrong date of birth. Just SLOPPY!! I had to call back, AGAIN, and ask them to fix all their mistakes AGAIN! Is it a training issue? Not paid enough to care? Outdated systems? I don’t know what the problem is but AAA is expensive insurance that is NOT worth the money. THEY admitted they falsely terminated my policy so they should have been apologetic and fixed the situation, I shouldn’t have to call and email 100 times to remind them and to get it done right. Such a waste of time. I DO NOT recommend AAA at ALL!

I have been a loyal customer with AAA for years now. For several years now my two boys have been showing as unrated drivers and I have spoken with many representatives regarding my state statutes, and they have not worried about changing the status for them to be rated drivers. I called in the other day to remove a car that I no longer needed on my policy. The gentleman I spoke with started hassling me incessantly about how my sons weren't paying for insurance and they needed to be rated drivers. I was not opposed to that however they justified this change as my insurance going from about $500/month to $1,300/month. I said absolutely not! That is more than a 100% increase and for what? That is a mortgage payment a month!

I spoke with a manager who hassled me in the same manner as her colleague and told me she didn't want to lose her job over this matter (which I understand), but I explained to her my spouse was currently out of work and I was unable to make that large of a payment. She did not offer any other solutions to the situation NOR did she even show any empathy for the position I was in.

She fully admitted she would not pay that much monthly for insurance. She couldn't even bother to explain the exorbitant new amount they expected me to pay and the reasoning behind that much of an increase. She told me I would have to put up with paying that monthly amount. I refused to and promptly changed insurance companies who decreased my same rate I had before they jacked it up by about $80/month. I even received added benefits and discounts that AAA did not offer! Learn from my experience and save yourself a lot of hassle by choosing a different insurance carrier who will respect you and your financial picture.

I have been a loyal customer with Triple AAA for over 18 years and have always received prompt professional service for my entire family throughout the years, and my grown son and daughter have been loyal customers too. On July 12th, 2024, around 7:30 in the evening, my car was having engine problems and the car had to be pulled over on the side of Gilman Springs Road in Riverside County. This one of the most dangerous two lane roads that has had many terrible accidents and many deaths on it thorughout my 30 years living here in California. We drove out to where the car was at and the traffic was so busy even though it was later in the evening.

We called the Triple AAA Roadside Service Number at 8:00 p.m. and gave all the details while utilizing the Application on the Phone and were advised that a tow truck driver would be dispatched within 45 minutes. My daugher, her husband, my 6 year old granddaughter and I, waited over an hour on the side of this very dangerous unlit two lane road, fearing for our safety the whole time, despite being off the road far enough the cars were driving dangerously close or over the right fog line of the lane. The application showed that the tow truck had not been dispatched. Another request submitted via the application again and it stated that it would be 45 minutes wait before the tow truck would arrive to tow our vehicle.

Another hour passed when my daughter called again but this time we spoke to the representative and told her we had already been waiting for over two hours and still had not been contacted by the tow truck driver. She stated that she would call the Tow Truck Company by the Name of Wind and Sea in Moreno Valley, again herself, and was told it would be an hour before he would arrive. We waited another hour and still no tow truck driver. My daughter called and spoke to the representative again and told her we had been waiting over 3 hours and still the two truck driver had not arrived at our location. She then put us on hold and called the Tow Company only to come back on the line and tell us that no one was answering the phone and was just being placed on hold.

My daugher then told the lady we had to get off that dangerous road and take her 6 year old daughter home, and we stated that we would then call back once we got home, which was only 15 minutes away. When I got home we called Triple AAA again and told her that we had been waiting for over three hours and no tow truck was dispatched to our location to pick-up our disabled car. She then informed us that she would contact the tow truck company closest to us and it should be around 12:00 to 12:30 before he arrived. As I was watching the application instead of the hour arrival time it changed to 1:53 a.m.

Then the Application stated they would be arriving at 2:16 a.m. I was informed through the app that it was a different towing company called Desert Towing, Inc. which was a tow company in our town of Hemet. I received another update stating that the towing company should arrive at 3:58 a.m. Received a phone call at 2:30 a.m. by the original tow truck company Wind and Sea and the Tow Truck driver said that his tow truck company was the only one authorized to pick up our car because of where it was located. He stated that he would meet me there at the car's location at 3:00 a.m. Drove out to Gilman Springs Road and when we got to where the location where the car was at, it was gone.

I immediately called the tow truck driver and told him that the car was gone and he stated that the Highway Patrol or Riverside County had the car towed by Pirots Towing in Hemet. Went to the Tow Company's location on Saturday morning and the tow yard was closed and was not due to open until Monday morning. Called the Owner of the Tow Truck Company and told him what had happened and he stated that it would cost $700. to get the car out that morning, I told him we were poor and could not afford it, he said it's not my problem, get another car and hung up. I called your representative Tuesday, as I had a medical appointment Monday and was not able to speak to your representative.

I relayed the information to your representative, told her that it was not our fault that Triple AAA did not provide the towing service and asked if the company if they had insurance for circumstances such as mine, if they could pay for the car paid for and be returned to us. She stated someone would call in three days, no one did. So I called back and spoke to a friendly young lady and she stated that the person who had took our numerous calls the night of the initial request and we had been waiting so long, she stated what she had done in that instance, was tell the customer they had the options to pay out of their pockets to have the car towed by different tow company, I told her we were never given that option.

She stated she would put the request in but based upon experience, it is not the responsibility of Triple AAA to get involved with tow yards and only possible reimbursement if any relief was provided. I told her by the time Triple AAA was going to respond to the newest request another week would have passed, another $1,000 or more would have been added to the charges which would be over $2,000. I don't have that kind of money to pay, and maybe not get reimbursed.

Without a functioning vehicle, I've struggled to fulfill my responsibilities as a parent and provide for my children. Every day without a resolution adds to the financial strain and emotional toll on my family.

I've attempted to communicate with AAA, but their customer service has been abysmal. Instead of offering assistance or updates, I've been met with vague responses and empty promises. It's clear that they prioritize bureaucracy over the well-being of their customers. Considering the prolonged ordeal and lack of empathy from AAA, I have no choice but to give them zero stars. Their incompetence and disregard for their customers' needs are inexcusable. I urge others to reconsider relying on AAA for any insurance or assistance needs, as my experience serves as a cautionary tale of their poor service and negligence.

My concern is I would prefer to deal with an agent in the city I live in for the purpose of going into the local office in my city for any concerns and or corrections on my policy. I relayed my preference and was just brushed off. Is this common practice? And can I not have an agent in my local office?? In conclusion, when talking to a AAA agent it would be courteous to inform potential customers.

It took police 6 months to find the guy and it was finally revealed that his insurance was AAA, with me finding out all this information almost a year after the accident which totaled the van and literally picked it up and propelled it forward about 15 feet. I suffered loss of work, neck and back injuries, and was not compensated a dime for it. Instead, the agents harassed me the few times I called them--apparently to get me to go away. It was a man and woman who answered the phone and verbally abused me. It was hard enough to go through that terrible experience, without having to add insult to injury.

Now canceling my homeowners for 2024 renewal because I don't have auto. They did not process forms provided. Was told twice I had auto insurance last week when I thought I should go in and print out my insurance card since it was expired with what I had in my vehicle.

Message on Monday stated the policy would have to be re-written for auto, but I had to pay the premium from April 2023 - February 2024, I told them I would not do that. This past Tuesday I received a notice that my homeowner's policy would not be renewed since I did not have auto insurance with them. Not my fault, that is AAA 100% mistake and customer service people that have not been doing their job. Incompetent.

I've provided an ultimatum to them:
    1. Provide auto insurance and renew my homeowner's insurance for 2024.

    2. If not I will search out others that have had these experiences and initiate a class action lawsuit for: Bait and switch, lack of full disclosure, insurance fraud.

After being a AAA member and using their Roadside Assistance for 14 years, I recently had the worst experience ever with them. I was taking someone older and disabled to the doctor when my car stalled on a busy 6-lane street. Although my car restarted immediately, it wasn't able to move forward very well. Once I got my car to a safer location in a fast food parking lot, I then called the AAA Emergency Roadside Service phone number. There was a recorded message to select the option for Roadside Assistance. When I did that, it said that the best way to initiate roadside service would be to use the link that they just sent to my phone. I filled out the info via the link but it did not give me the right options for my needs, nor did their GPS find my location. There was a small box in the form in which I was able to write a note regarding details about my car and explain my exact location.

I submitted that and then I received an automated call from AAA stating that if I would like to have periodic phone call updates, they would do that. Then the automated call asked to confirm that I could hear their message. When I confirmed, the call ended after saying they would keep doing update calls. They called back later to say it would be 20 minutes before the driver arrived, then another call came in later that said the driver would be there in an hour, and then the calls stopped. Once the update calls stopped, I called AAA Membership Services to try to talk with a human and find out if a tow truck was still coming. The woman tried to tell me that she couldn't help me because I had called the Membership area, I told her that I am a member and I needed help. So she finally assisted me in getting the information that I needed so I wouldn't have to start a new AAA Roadside Assistance request.

In the past, AAA has always had a friendly, live person who would explain the wait and details about the towing company would keep people updated on the tow truck's arrival and would even ask us to call back if the tow truck driver never called us. Sorry to say, that did not happen this time. Since I have a recent model car I haven't needed towing service in a while, but I have used AAA for a battery replacement and a flat tire. Both times I was able to use the AAA app just fine and the communication was great between AAA, me, and the tow truck drivers. However, this time, the AAA app wouldn't let me log in. It kept telling me that it didn't recognize me despite my entering the correct login info.

I waited 4.5 hours for a tow truck driver to arrive. He was very kind, helpful, and apologetic that I had to wait so long. He said that he called me as soon as he received a call from AAA. However, he received the call from them well over an hour after I contacted AAA. He lived 2 hrs away from the metro Atlanta area where I was waiting and traffic was heavy but he assured me that he was on his way. Living in a metropolitan area and needing a tow truck, I expected maybe an hour to an hour and a half wait because there are tow trucks all over the city. That's been my previous experience with AAA. Never a 4.5-hour wait!

Some auto repair people I know have suggested that AAA may not be paying tow truck drivers appropriate rates so it may be difficult for AAA to get a driver to a stranded motorist now. A tow truck driver said that someone needing a tow truck would have quicker service if they called their auto insurance provider's Roadside Assistance Service because AAA staff work remotely and don't handle things as efficiently and customer-friendly as they used to. Time to look for another option to AAA unless they make some major, customer-friendly changes. Who wants to deal with a text link or an automated call when needing help as a stranded motorist, right?

Then looked at my spare tire and said it needed Air but he had a loaner truck that didn't have a hose so he was unable change my tire and asked me to request a tow instead.

It is all automated so I could talk to anyone or cancel the request so he told me to request a tow. I did and now I have been charged for 2 service calls. I called AAA to fix the issue so I would get credited since it was only 1 call/incident and it is not my fault the tow truck driver was unable to change my tire and he asked me to request a tow. AAA will "look into the issue" and if they feel it is correct they will credit, but the way it looks to them is they completed both service calls which is garbage! The call was an hour apart because it took the driver that long to get there and tell me to request a tow instead. A review for AAA Auto Services - Vernon Hills, IL. I dropped off my car for an oil change (2013 Subaru Outback, 75,000 miles). The service took about an hour as suggested. When I picked it up, several of my dash lights illuminated within 2 or 3 miles of my departure suggesting engine, brake, and cruise control problems. I called AAA and the manager came out and checked the gas cap and the air filter. Gas cap was tight but there was a dirty 'cabin filter' in the engine air filter canister. Seemed odd to me because I checked the air filter 2 weeks earlier and the correct one was installed and it was clean. The incorrect filter caused a vacuum leak due to improper sealing in the filter box likely causing the problem. AAA said they had a replacement air filter in stock for $38 which seemed a bit excessive so I went to the Walmart down the street and bought one for $12.88. It took about 5 minutes to install.

BOTTOM LINE... when my car went in for the oil change it was running fine. We've never had a problem with it and have maintained it according to mfg recommendations. After the oil change it was riddled with sudden problems. Also... AAA had suggested I needed an immediate front brake replacement for about $600. When I took it into Subaru the next day to correct the problems that existed right after the oil change (at a cost of ~$200) Subaru also checked the brakes and mentioned that there was 25-30% of the front pads remaining which should last me another 8-10K miles. A little research in the internet indicated that a front brake job (pads and routers) should cost about $400 (KBB reference). The dealer estimated replaces pads and rotors at about $500. A word of caution... think twice about using AAA Auto Services when looking to service your vehicle. Date of experience: May 31, 2023

I was in an auto accident where the AAA insured was at fault. I submitted a claim with AAA and was not contacted by an adjuster until well over a week. I called twice and had to leave a VM. I finally spoke with adjuster, Vicki, who took my recorded statement and told me she would contact me the next day with their liability decision. I stated I had a dashcam video and emailed it to her immediately after our discussion. It's been one week and I have not received a phone call or email response from Vicki. I left her manager, Lacy, a VM last night advising I have not received any response regarding my claim. I have yet to hear from either one of them and it has been almost 3 weeks since the accident. When I called their 800 number to speak with someone they cannot provide any information. I am a AAA member and after this experience I will be canceling my membership. Terrible, terrible customer service.

Additionally, they completed a photos only estimate and the lazy appraiser included by rear door which was not damaged, did not include my front door which was damaged and is reflected in the photos I uploaded to their app, listed to recondition my custom wheel when it cannot be reconditioned due to the damage and it would have been evident had an actual appraiser inspected the vehicle, and he included the incorrect state labor rates. AAA is a very incompetent company and I feel bad for anyone who has to deal with them for a claim where their insured is at fault.

They will not renew it, but referred me to another company "for high risk drivers", I am 58 with an excellent driving record. They offered to charge me 3 times my previous rate for 6 months, because now I am an "uninsured motorist", then in 6 months, AAA could possibly take me back!!! This is the thanks I get for being with AAA since I turned 18 y/o!! I will NEVER have AAA insurance again! This company refuses to accept durable power of attorney which is ILLEGAL IN 29 states. In fact, the principal that made me their healthcare and financial proxy tried to drive themselves to a hospital and this company refuses to stop billing or pay for services we need rendered while actively claiming they “do not accept power of attorney” which is a violation of the law worth fines of $75,000 each time in the state of Oklahoma which can then be filed to be matched by the victim of their refusal.

I have worked at law firms since 2006. I personally drove to a physical location after weeks of denials because of this company. Even after their legal department was aware of the situation and took documentation swearing the company does accept them; I was denied an additional 5 times. Meaning I can now sue for over $750,000 in a single day. Not to mention every single denial was RECORDED ON FILM. How tf does a company this size think they can get away with refusal to accept a DURABLE POA not just a basic one that doesn’t continue after incapacitation. Beyond that; even if he had died I am the executor and beneficiary of the estate they assumed payment for. This company screwed themselves epically.

It took another 2 wks for the insurance to settle so I had to pay the other 2 wks which I they should’ve paid til they settled with me! The claims adjuster Karen ** was rude to me when I told her that I felt they were in the wrong to stop paying for the rental when they’ve not even settled & told me that’s why it’s called an accident which I thought is why we pay for insurance. I could understand if I was being complicated & holding it up but I wasn’t. I went out of my way to speed the process up by driving out to north 40 & signing documents instead of waiting on the mail and settling for less than I should’ve on my Jeep!

I ended up paying $274 on the rental & another $463 for sales tax which any other insurance company would’ve paid 30 days rental & the sales tax up to the value of the totaled vehicle which I went from a 2019 to an 2009 vehicle cause the price of vehicles it so crazy right now & They didn’t pay me replacement value. She told me to contact my insurance company if I to get replacement value which my insurance shouldn’t have to pay anything when I didn’t cause the accident! Anyway I just feel I got screwed.

I had AAA for almost 6 years. Don’t remember whether I used once. My BMW stopped while driving. Had a check engine and check fuel pump, and message go to dealer as soon as possible. Pulled over, after 15 minutes tried to start, it started and then I reached home. Spoke to bmw dealer over the phone, he told me not to drive and tow it and drop at the dealer to be serviced. Next day called AAA to tow and drop at the dealer. A technician from third party 'California Roadside West' showed up. He asked what's wrong with the car, I told him the issues. He said, "If the car doesn't start then I can't tow." I told him I'll try to start, I tried it started, he immediately said, "Oh the car started so no issues and no messages so I can't tow." He was flip flopping. I really didn’t understand his motivation.

I told him there was a check engine and check fuel pump message so it's not safe to drive the car, I can't put mine and my little kids life in danger. Tried to convince him but he wouldn't listen, he was very rude so I told him to leave since I was not comfortable handling him my expensive car. My first call with AAA was 9:30 am, after the guy left made several calls. Tried to communicate the issue to AAA but they wouldn’t accept that there’s an issue with car, they said, "It was assessed no issue with the car, we can tow but charge you." The last call I made them was 3 pm. After that I cancelled the membership. AAA doesn’t care how long you are a member, look at the history etc. Paid all these years. Was a waste of my money. Some rude third party guy made a note there’s no issue they believed.

This review is to warn others of my experience. Originally from California but recently moved to Texas. Been a member for almost 10 years and sadly will have to find another insurance company. My AAA account was created in California so the account type is different from Texas. Which mean customer service, rates, and how you will be treated will not be the same. Make sure you call to ensure you switch completely and not from any office or sale representative. They need your verbal consent as I didn’t know and was charge for both California and Texas for 8 months. Even when I officially close my California AAA all my calls always revert to California customer service. So if you live in Texas. Be ready to waste 5-10 minutes re-navigate yourself to the correct state as both states are separate organization. Even though it’s AAA they both have separate rules and act differently.

My car was hit while parked in front of my home. No one was hurt but both vehicle was totaled. I thought AAA had my back but that was not the case. A claim was created under my California AAA. This is when they informed me I need to start the process over with my Texas AAA even though California quoted me a settlement. Wasted 25 days, start the process over and my new Texas adjuster, they offer me much lower settlement than California. Just like others. I called 3-4 times a week over 2 months just trying to get answer why it’s much lower. And when I finally do reach my adjuster explaining to her my car is not a low end model and why I received less settlement than what I was offer originally.

It took another 60 days to finally get an answer. After calling her supervisor and leaving countless voicemail, feedback on AAA website. When I explained my frustration. I was only brushed off to check my email. Exhausted. Claim went over 90 days. And I need to get another car for work as I cannot wait anymore. Clearly they only focused on saving cost and devalued their brand. Don’t invest in AAA and if possible. Stay within your own state or switch companies if you’re moving out of state. I tried my best to be patience. Customer service understand my pain and confused on the situation as well. I have never felt so defeated and devalued as a customer. I hope no one ever experience this but as you can see this is an ongoing consistent strategy to protect their own interest. This accident is not my fault and I was punished at the end of this result. All I can say is why…

Are all companies associated with helping the elderly, in particular, just out to swindle money away from them for a service that is nonexistent? AAA has made my growing list of companies, that I have found out since becoming permanently disabled, to swindle and financially abuse their elderly (or in my case disabled) clients. I have been with them for car insurance and also paid extra for their RV roadside services. Of the 4 times I needed them, only 1 time was I able to get assistance and get a tow truck. Even then, I still paid out of pocket. My question, really, is what was I paying for? I couldn't get help twice for a flat tire, once for hail damage to my windshield. I had enough when I checked around for insurance quotes due to moving to a new state and I found out how much more I was spending but I wasn't getting any of the extra service.

I called today to make sure it would not auto renew and the male I spoke with was absolutely RUDE! He kept talking over me, would not fully listen, and repeated questions. He acted like I was an absolute bother to him and he had way more important things to do. He didn't ask why I was leaving AAA, probably because I am not the only one jumping ship. Nor did he thank me for being a customer for the last 3 years. I do still have life insurance thru them but I will be looking into other companies for that as well. I am very disappointed. You are paying extra for nothing with AAA. The only way I would come back is if they take a serious look at their customer service (or lack of) and their pricing. I think AAA auto insurance is depending exclusively on their historically "good" reputation to remain in business because their actual Claims process is absolutely horrendous! Yes, their roadside assistance is great, but if something should ever happen and you need to make a claim, you're left totally stranded. I have comprehensive insurance, and my catalytic converter was stolen from my vehicle overnight in February. It was a holiday so I wasn't able to call to start a claim until 2 days later. I wasn't even able to leave a message right when it happened.. Then, when I was finally assigned to a claims adjuster after calling again on the 3rd day, I have left calls, voicemails, sent emails, and even called the adjuster's direct supervisor multiple times with NO RESPONSE.

It is now early May and I have yet to get a single message or response telling me at what stage my claim is in. AAA auto insurance is automatically taking my automated monthly insurance payments, and yet it's almost a joke, because I wonder whether I would have been better off uninsured based off the level of communication or help I'm actually receiving. I even went into the local AAA insurance office in my area in person, to see if I could at least speak to a human instead of their terrible purgatory loop that is their automated robotic phone-system.. and the friendly local agent was unable to help me at all. Their best advice was to just continue to call and leave voicemails, and email my adjustor until I was able to reach someone. If I would have known AAA was going to be this unresponsive when I'm paying for appropriate coverage, I would never have signed on with them to begin with!

They were quick to blame USPS for me not receiving notice rather than taking responsibility on their end. I was told that during the pandemic this has been a common complaint from their customers - that often people were not receiving their notices until 6 months after they were mailed.

While AAA seemed to be aware that there is a problem with this, they have been unwilling to find other means of communicating with their customers. I was told that I was responsible for my lack of awareness that I was driving uninsured (even though I submitted all my payments on time) and that my insurance rate would double as a result because I was unknowingly driving uninsured. No apologies and no willingness to take any sort of responsibility. I have switched to State Farm as a result and will not return to AAA for any sort of insurance policy in the future. Please spare yourself your time, money, and liability issues and avoid AAA at all costs.

Switched over to AAA after hearing some good things about them from a friend. When switching over I told the sales rep to mimic my old policy as I wanted the same coverage. He had access to my old policy and assured me I would be getting just that. We agreed to only switch the deductible for full coverage. Later that year I was unfortunately involved in an accident and was seeking their assistance when I find out that the agent sold me whatever he wanted and not what was promised to me. Now they are refusing to cover me per the coverage I was told I would get when I switched over. In other words do not trust this company as they are deceptive and deceiving and lie.

I have purchased auto and homeowners insurance from AAA Alabama for 5 years. Both insurance policies continued to rise even though no claims had been filed. Upon asking my agent in particular about my homeowner's rates rising drastically, I was told my rating was the issue. In 2020, I let this slide since I had little time to research other companies. Forward to 2021, yet another over $300 increase with zero claims. My response again was my rating. Upon inquiring about this “rating” it was stated that it was from Lexus/Nexus so I asked for info and was provided nothing. I reached out to another company for quotes and asked they pay close attention to this rating info. My rating was excellent and I accepted those quotes to replace my AAA coverage with better coverage at a lesser price.

I notified my AAA agent and the regional manager to cancel my renewals at the end of my cycle and requested a received email back for them noting my request. The regional manager responded that it would be taken care of. Today, I noticed a withdrawal from my account for AAA insurance… Luckily I pulled up my email received from the regional manager and replied to all (including her manager) asking why were they deducting $ for policies no longer applicable with AAA. Responder: the rep did not close the accounts. Seriously??? Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Even though good insurance, it appears it’s all about the $ and not the quality of service OR communication.

My daughter was involved in an accident which was the other party's fault. The other party had AAA insurance and it took a very long over a week to get in touch with them. Once I did, the process was extremely slow to get answers, other than they were quick to provide a rental. The rental was a POS, and had so many restrictions due to my daughter not being 21. They said they would have an adjuster go look at the vehicle and asked where it was so they could look at it. I waited for almost a week and did not hear from the contact. I called back and he asked a couple questions and declared the vehicle a total loss and would get with the adjuster to give us a valuation. Again, almost a week went by and the guy I have been speaking with says he is the adjuster!

Next day he contacts me with a valuation and it is so low. In the current car market, the valuation is over $2000 below what I could replace the car with, finding a car with 15,000 more miles and less upgrades! He said to send the receipts for the upgrades that were done on the vehicle. I had almost $2000 in upgrades done within the last 2 years and they only upped the value $316, and it took him a week to get back with me on that.

I spoke with my attorney who deals in these cases and his first question is "who is your insurance?" And then he asked who is their insurance? I told him AAA. His advice was to use my insurance as I was with what he called "Tier 1, major carrier" and AAA was in what he called "The others". This attorney who deals with this sort of stuff all the time, said this was normal for sub tier 1 providers to provide bad service and low valuations. Said my insurance would be better and they would go to arbitration with AAA over the claims. Unfortunately, this is the 5th accident involving a member of my family, where the other party's insurance was in this sub tier 1 and every time, I have had to use my insurance for resolution. I hoped this time it would be different....guess not.

I was rear-ended at a stoplight on April 23, 2021. The person that hit me had AAA auto insurance. The evening of the accident AAA contacted me with the name and phone number of an adjuster that would reach out to me within the next 48 hours. As of today May 11, 2021 I have never heard from or seen that adjuster. I have called and left multiple messages with no response. After multiple attempts to reach someone within AAA I received a call from a supervisor. This supervisor was rude, condescending and unprofessional. I was told directly that I could not take my new car back to the dealership for repairs and if I did AAA would not pay for the repairs. I was told that my car would not be fixed with original parts and I had to take my car to a specific body shop of their choice.

I continued to have questions and concerns that were unanswered due to no specific callback phone number. Every AAA phone number that I googled or called routed me to roadside service or the purchase of insurance. When I finally reached a live person they would tell me I had the wrong department, extension or the wrong state for AAA auto insurance. It was impossible to get in contact with the actual department I needed to speak with all my questions and concerns. I even tried to contact the AAA corporate office to file a formal complaint, but only got an automated system asking if I needed roadside service. This entire process was horrendous. No one should have to go through this type of process just to get their car repaired by AAA auto insurance.

I called to put myself on the plan since my husband passed away and I have paid up plan. I was informed that they can make my daughter the main person on the plan and add myself for $9.25. They said the charge was due to a call on the plan last summer when my daughters car battery died at work at 2am. So the deal is if you use AAA services and need to change an existing account due to a death of primary client you will be charged to do this. I think this is shameful and should not be allowed.

My husband died but his account was paid in full until 6.24.21 but even if I cancelled I wouldn't get money back because we used the plan and they made a call last summer! Isn't this what we pay for when we join? I will be cancelling this horrible plan as of 6.24.21 and just wanted to make sure people know what this AAA company is all about! I've had experience with multiple aspects of AAA. I had their towing service when my car was aging and last year, I had both their auto and condo insurance. They did offer decent rates for coverage but at the same time, I was an ideal person to insure because I never had to file a claim. This year, I bought a brand new car after driving the same car for 16 years. I left their insurance company simply because it made sense to try Tesla insurance with the rates they were offering. With less than 1,500 miles on my car, I was rear ended by someone in their 20s at a stop light when it was red because he was "drinking water". He was under his parents' AAA car insurance policy. It was a very clear case of who was at fault.

I only called my insurance company at first because other than the one car accident in my early twenties, I've never had to interact with car insurance. Well I was rather disappointed in my Tesla insurance because they essentially were not going to go to bat for me if I was unwilling to pay the deductible to start. That's a whole other issue. I contacted AAA and was assigned to the associate AG. Just following a few interactions with her, it was very apparent they handle things by dragging their feet. She made claims that the Tesla shop person would not work with her, that I couldn't get a assessment quote from AAA until the day of my appointment at the shop insinuating that I should pay out of pocket first for the fix, never replied to my email during a work day even though I generally messaged her very early in the morning, and just blatantly made up false excuses about why things couldn't take place early (I have email proof).

My appointment with Tesla is on the 29th and AAA will not reach out to them again until tomorrow on the 26th, even though I made it very clear that they had to order my rear bumper and paint them. The accident happened on the 5th. I think the only reason it has even moved as fast as it has is because I have an upcoming appointment that I scheduled on my own. Overall, it leaves a terrible taste in my mouth. I even shared with the representative that I suffer from anxiety and this situation was bringing on terrible stress for me.

Is AAA truly an "American" insurance company? The United States is an adopted country for me, one where I've spent almost 3/4th of my entire life. I love supporting American companies. What they are doing seems very un-American. AAA is going to raise the rates of the person that hit my car. It was a very clear case and I wasn't making any ridiculous, false demands. All I wanted was my brand new car to be restored, which is when insurance company should step in to save the day. "Don't worry. Both you and the other driver were responsible people. We will cover this for you." Instead, they implied I should pay out of pocket for the fix and that their quote may come back differently from Tesla's.

Their business approach, implying that I could be treated poorly because I wasn't the paying customer, is sooo wrong. Every client that they interact with could potentially become a paying customer. Instead, I will NEVER EVER use their insurance coverage again and I will advise as many people against it as possible. The simple reason is that the US is a very sue-happy country. It would be terrible for someone to come after you simply because your insurance company is dragging their feet! On top of that, they send out sooo many mailers that look like junk mail. Who are you targeting with those mailers AAA? The only thing that is of value is their tow service, which I do recommend if you have an old car and are a commuter. It will pay for itself.

I gave her the wrong car by mistake but she took advantage of my situation. Several weeks later when I am ready to drive for the first time in 3 weeks, I call and leave several messages to make sure she insured the correct car. I even emailed her. I never hear back.

On feb 5 I was T-boned by an Escalade. I was injured bad as was my SUV. The other person's insurance pays for everything and at first I wasn’t going to Sue but I was in so much pain and suffering from the worst headaches and got X-rays as well as a CT scan that shows I have whiplash and had a concussion etc. so I hire an attorney. On March 15, I get a call from my attorney saying I was driving with no insurance so I was really angry. I called my agent who lied thru her teeth. Her boss believed her over me. What happened to believing the customer no matter what. So now I m waiting to speak to someone higher up.

I m in PT 3x per week and have bones overlapping and a curved spine due to the accident and now I am being told I can’t get pain and suffering if I wasn’t insured. I would never drive a car that didn’t have insurance and I m at a loss. Not only did I lose the love of my life but now I m being screwed by an insurance co that was supposed to cover me. They are the worst and are thieves in the worst way. As soon as I can I am switching to another carrier but not before I go all the way to the top on this matter. I don’t care if the agent gets fired. She screwed up and I have the proof. This is wrong.

Not sure how they will fare as their customer base fades with age.

It's that time of the year when I had to renew my auto policy with AAA. It switched to a new company and while the new rates are good, ways of paying them are not. This year I am unable to pay my premium online as I used to. The only option was to do this by snail mail. I sent my payment by USPS Priority Mail, and a week later, it's still in transit and no telling when it arrives. My renewal date is just 3 days away and I don't want risking losing coverage because USPS lost my mail.

Emailed the agent inquiring why can't I pay online and the answer was basically take it or leave it. After notifying the agent about a possibility of lost mail, was advised to pay by a phone call or else drive to the local AAA club. Ah great. Driving to the club while we're still under stay at home order, and I am at a higher risk for the virus being over 60 years old.

The agent provided an option of actually doing this by phone, which way my neighbors will be able to hear my credit card info. This is totally unacceptable. Most likely I am going to switch to another company where I will be able to pay premiums online, plus the premiums will include roadside assistance for which I'm paying through the roof with AAA. I think I've been with them way too long and the time has come for a change. I don't recommend AAA insurance to anyone. Shop around, there are better choices.

Yet in saying all of this they decide to raise my simple liability policy by $101 a year.

I called up State farm insurance once I got the news of this raise and not only were their rates much, much cheaper they even included roadside assistance in with their 6-month policy as well. All in all, State Farm Insurance (not that I am trying to promote State Farm here) as a new driver had the SAME policy for $84 less per 6 months, compared to AAA's outrageous quote.
