We had told Scott what we were looking for. We wanted a four-bedroom and we wanted floating Sheetrock throughout the whole house, and that was the first one he took us to and we loved the layout of it. We love everything about it. We went and looked at every other mobile home in Pearl from every other company. We kept comparing it to that first one. We just decided to come back to Clayton Homes. Everybody that we dealt with over there was really great. If we find anything that's wrong, Scott's been on the spot to come on out and fix it and get it straight.
Thank you, Chris! We are so excited for you and your family. Thank you for purchasing from Clayton Homes!

My experience with Clayton Homes has been really good. The rep had promised us that we’d get the house on a Friday in November, and we were closed on our house on Tuesday. The lot was ready, but because of the weather, they couldn't move the trailer that day. On that Monday, I called the rep and said, “Look, I know, I understand what happened. But we're moving out of our house. I’ve got to have it. The people are loading up my furniture right now. And I've got to have this house.” He got it all done over the weekend, and we had everything moved here on time. So, I appreciated that. For a moment, we kinda got misdirected at a time or two on the salesman we started out with. He promised us one thing, and then he left. But everything went pretty well. The only thing is I've got dimples on the floor where the piece of furniture sat and this was not supposed to happen when you got a solid wood floor.

They showed us a couple of homes that were in our price range and we picked the one that we're in now. I like the home but some things in it are cheap, like the cabinets. The trim around the doors and in the house keep coming loose. They have to come out and fix it. It was put together cheap. Even underneath the floor, it has the linoleum floor in it. You can step in certain places and see where they didn't nail all the way down underneath it so when you step on it, you can tell that that's the nail. It should have been nailed down better before they put the linoleum over it. Whenever you gotta plug something in, you gotta unplug it and the whole plug comes out. That's a manufacturing issue and we've told Clayton Homes all of these as well.
This home is much bigger than our old house. There's a lot more room and it's not cluttered. The water pressure is phenomenal. We have heating and air unit now, where before, we had portable heaters and AC units. So I do love that. But I wanted double sinks in my master bathroom. There's plenty of room in there but there's only one sink. Overall, Clayton Homes have been phenomenal. Any time we call and say we have a problem, they get someone right out here to take care of it.
Thank you for your feedback, Angie! We're so happy for you and your family to enjoy this new home!

We chose a Clayton home for the size as we were downsizing. We also considered the property, the way the home looked, and how the home appeared to be efficient and put together well for what we were looking for. Working with Clayton was fantastic and I love pretty much everything about our home. There are a few minor issues, but the warranty person has been right on top of most of it. Clayton has been very responsive. The warranty was a plus too.
Thank you, Herbert, for your feedback regarding your purchase with Clayton Homes.

Clayton has one of the most popular manufactured homes in my area. I knew what I was looking for, and I went to a home center and was able to find what I wanted. Since it was my first home buying experience, it was a little challenging, but there was nothing out of the norm. Once we got everything on and running and rolling, everything was great. Working with Clayton allowed me to be a first-time homebuyer, and that’s huge.

Clayton seemed to have what we needed so we went there and they were great. The only thing is I'm not real happy about a whole bunch of stuff that happened and the way that they had everything done because I don't have all the equipment to do what they want me to do. I have to take pictures of everything that I want to have fixed then I have to email those to them. Hopefully, within two weeks, they might be out to take care of them. That way, they would know what they're looking for. One issue I have is my front door has got a big gap in it that you can see straight outside when you're standing inside. That's been an issue since we moved in.
For such issues, I was told to call the warranty department and deal with them. I've taken pictures of everything. Now, I have to figure out how to get them to Clayton because I can't get them to transfer over to my computer and they're on my phone. The file is so large. Every time I try to send the pictures, they won't send. I have to send two or three pictures and then another two or three.
On the whole, my experience with Clayton as far as the sales part went was great. But after the sale, nobody wanted to take a step up and do anything. It was already noted at the time of purchase that the countertop was all bubbled and coming up. They took care of that. We got a big old giant crack and they noticed that so they fixed that. But anything after that I was told, “You need to make sure that you send us pictures. And it has to be emailed or we don't have the time of day for you.” That doesn't say a whole lot about customer services after the sale so I’m not happy about that.

They helped me out whenever I got there. They pretty much picked exactly what I needed and helped me all the way to the end. They have a great team at Clayton Homes. I got the newer design model. It was the square footage that I needed and I like the vents in the ceiling. A lot of the models have the floor vents but I liked it in the ceiling. I also liked the textured walls. The more that it was changed over to be more like a regular home instead of a modular home.
Thank you, Jonathan! Congratulations on your new home!

We did a mobile home with Clayton and the whole process took months, but it was still quicker than having one built. I only wish that there was a little more communication with certain things. They didn't include my furniture when it was supposed to be included so we had to wait another month to get our furniture in. There are also a few little things that needed to be fixed when we got here but Clayton tried to come in and fix most of them. Some of the doors could come loose and that could have been part of when they moved the home here. The sink’s kinda leaky but that might have been something we did to it. Overall, I'm happy with the house.

I was trying to get a house in a reasonable timeframe. I called Clayton and spoke with Alexis. She told me that they have the home in stock that I was looking at. I had some bad experiences at some other places. Alexis told me to go there so I went down immediately. The process with the office was horrible. They charged me $10,000 to remove trees and do grading then they ended up not doing any of it. I paid someone an additional $5,000 out of my pocket to have them do the job instead. Clayton actually sold the home that I went down there for and put the deposit on. When I got there, they tried to make some excuses and said, "It's down the lot for a year. So we don't know if we want to sell it. But we have another one coming in on December 22nd and we'll give it to you at the same price." But they didn't. It started off with a bad sales associate. Unfortunately, it was like her first day on the job and she knew absolutely nothing.
There was an issue with my whole ceiling in most of the house. There was a bunch of money that was supposed to be paid back to me. I got back almost 6,000 and they still owe me another 4,000. They made me sign something that I wouldn't sue them. But the fact of the matter is my wife is also an owner of the house. She's unhappy and I just want back what was rightfully owed to me.
Other than that, the home has been great and we love it. We're very happy with it. We had a couple of issues like roof leaks and the contractors came out. They were great people to work with and deal with. They helped smooth out a lot of things over that went bad with the Clayton office that screwed me out a lot of money. The contractors tried to do everything they could and they were the ones that did the closing.
They were supposed to have the closing in the house and they were supposed to bring paperwork. But then I was told to go to the Clayton office for the closing and that I was not getting anything back. It ended up being a little bit of an argument in the office with the manager. We all walked out. She printed everything and gave me all the forms in the parking lot. It was a really bad experience. The third party representative on the other hand was really nice. On the whole, the people that came and did all the construction work, the closing, and did the stuff that's not even their job, were so great.

The home buying process with Clayton started great, especially during the time of the pandemic. The salesperson did an excellent job. We ordered a trailer and they were very nice and considerate. They called to see if we can get the trailer delivered earlier. My rep was Ricardo and he was very knowledgeable about his job. I was impressed by the knowledge that he had about selling trailers and dealing with the builders of the trailer. He knew the ins and outs. He told us about the little details that we were worried about and it worked out fine. That's very important. We now have a very nice home and we’re enjoying it. It’s very amazing. It’s built well and it sits well.

My application process was easy. Just a few pages that we had to fill out since we weren't applying for a loan. It was simple. And everybody there at the office was helpful. I appreciated everything Clayton Homes did. They got it to us as quick as they could. They put it together well. The team that put it together was very polite and helpful, and told me all about the mobile home once it was put together. I really enjoyed it. And it's a nice home. There are a couple of things my wife noticed. There's a chip in our guest bathroom's tub and a chip on one of our marble countertops. She said, "I know we didn't drop anything on the countertop. I don't know why it chipped." But it's really small. So when I fill it up, it will just fill up and we won't even notice it anymore.

We were checking out homes after the fires here. We walked in and the saleslady with Clayton that we dealt with was pretty nice and straightforward. We settled for a home with an open layout. The only thing is the quality of it is not the greatest. It was built during the whole issue with COVID, shutdowns, and labor shortages. There are a lot of little details that were missed when they built this particular home. I know Clayton Palm Harbor and Fleetwood and all those come out of the same set of factories up there. My mom bought a Palm Harbor home that was a year old and it was of much higher quality in the basic construction than the one that I got. There are a lot of little issues on this. Clayton has been working with us on those issues. Overall, it all comes down to quality control in the factory. That's always the big thing.

We were told that we were gonna get in in November but we ended up not getting in until the week before Christmas. But it's not Clayton Homes to blame for that. It rained and it's a waiting process. We had to wait on one person to do this so the next person can do that and then we waited on the county. Other than that, it was a great experience. The rep who helped us out was really good. Although we have reached out a couple of times about things that need to be fixed in the house and they still haven't got out here to do it. But I understand. I've worked with Clayton Homes in the past, so it was an easy second transaction. I know the local people here in Morganton very well. They're fantastic. Michael, Carl, Francisco and Greg were great to work with. They were always right there when I needed something. Whenever I needed something or had a question or concern, they took care of it immediately. If not, they kept in touch with me.
I bought the repo the first time and this time, I bought a new one. It was a little bit of a lengthy process because of some of the delays with materials but that’s happening with everything. That wasn't Clayton's fault. The first one back 12 years ago was probably four years old when I got it but there was no major damage. It was just my daughter and I wanted to make it just a two-bedroom instead of two little bedrooms. They were kind enough to take a wall out, finish it up and make it one big room for her on that side of the house, which was really cool. However, the quality of that home from 12 ears ago is better than the quality of the one I just bought. I’m finding some of the things are very cheaply made.

It was great with Clayton Homes. The rep helped me a lot and the process was fast. It was a lot easier than what I thought it would be. The quality could have been a whole lot better though. I feel the house was thrown together very quickly. Some of the trim were popping off the walls. In my master bedroom, some of the wood don't match correctly. The cabinet doors are flimsy too. When you buy a home like that and you pay that price for it, I expected a little bit more for it.

Miss Linda, the lady that sold the home to us, was very knowledgeable. It was our first time and she walked us through it step by step. She was magnificent. She definitely got what we wanted, when we wanted it, and she wasn't taking no for an answer. I loved her. The process took too long and I'm happy it's over. There was a lot of twists and turns and ups and downs, but mainly the county was the problem. Clayton Homes was amazing. I'm very satisfied and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Clayton Homes could have hired better contractors though. Things are already starting to fall apart, and I'm having to fix as I go. Also, the cabinets weren't finished and I don't have any shelves. It's still particleboard on the inside. That's my complaint, but I know it's not their fault. They told me that they don't do the cabinets, and when I reached out to them about the trim falling off, they just told me to staple it back up. I'm just going to replace it.

I love my huge island in the middle. I love the bathroom, the big tub and the separate shower. There’s only one thing I don’t like about it. It took four months total, between looking and trying to find a trailer and getting approved, and it was a really smooth and enjoyable process. It took a lot of the stress off of it.
The quality of the trailer is great. They've only had to come out and do one thing. There was a water leak, and it wasn't even for Clayton but they set it all up. Everybody was super helpful down there. But I'm a little disappointed with the quality. We got the Maverick and in the photos for that, it appeared that there was wood siding in the den and in the ceiling above the kitchen. I came to find out that it's just drywall with wallpaper over it. Also, I ran into a problem because I purchased out of Fort Smith and many of their contractors weren't available because I live in Northwest Arkansas nearer to the Lowell location of Clayton. There was a lack of communication. I couldn't call the Clayton homes in Lowell to get their contractors. They were very secretive in that regard. Even though I was a fully paid customer with Clayton Homes, their customer service only extended from the location I purchased from.

The home had a sliding glass in the back but we wanted patio doors. But it worked out because I bought the doors and they had the crew take the sliding door out and the French doors in like my wife wanted. The quality of the Clayton Home, so far, is good. We had one leak so far on the roof. They came out and said that they think it could be some screws. The technician did the best he could to try to fix it. One thing that could be improved would be the quality of the doors. They’re not that great with the sealing off from the outside. One of them leaks and they told me there was nothing that they could do with it because it’s the way that they designed the houses. It’s just the way that the door is, it’s cheap. They tightened the door as much as they could. But the way the rain comes in, it leaks by. So, I had to build a cover over it. But they helped us out and were quick on it.
Courtney, the rep, has been great. She does the customer service of that house in Clayton Homes. She’s been really good to us and quick with phone calls. I can call her. If she’s not there, she’ll call me within 5 minutes from her cell phone. For that roof leak we had, I called and Courtney was in the office. Morgan, the manager that was there helped me out and said she'd tell Courtney. Within the same day, they told us somebody would be out the following day and sure enough. It was great customer service. One thing they can improve would be better finding contractors. Where we're at right now, it’s in the country, so it’s hard to find contractors. The contractor that they used wasn’t that great. But they got that taken care of. Other than that, everybody was good.

Overall, the sales staff of Clayton was amazing. But the experience itself after the fact was disappointing. They had some issues with upper management, and things that we were told were going to happen did not. The upper management changed the wording on paperwork to benefit them so that they would get more of a bonus. We wanted a 20x24 deck on the back of our house. The sales staff had put it in the paperwork. But after closing had taken place, we ended up with two 6x6 decks, one on the front, and one on the back. Therefore, there’s nothing that could be done about it because the paperwork says two 6x6 decks.
The trim boards also don't stay like they're supposed to. When they first brought it to us, the trim pieces were bowed and not painted. They also weren't cut properly. We also had a water leak where one of the water lines in the wall had gotten hit by something. Now, we've been dealing with water damage on the walls and on the flooring.
But working with the Clayton people, I would highly recommend it because they're very compassionate and really willing to go above and beyond to correct any problems that the manufacturer has come up with. As for the mobile home manufacturer themselves, they are not so eager. If I had to choose a different home, I probably would just because of the manufacturer.

The only issue that we've been having is the roof is damaged. We have continually been in contact with them. There was a contractor that came out over a month ago that said he would get the numbers together, figure out a game plan, and give us a call within the week. But it's been over a month and we haven't heard a word from him.

My Clayton salesgirl, Jackie, was absolutely fantastic. She walked me through every single step that I needed to know or needed to do. She gave me weekly updates as to what was going on with my home. If I didn't like the price that she had quoted me, I got a second opinion. She thanked me for that because she said it kept her on her toes to make sure that her team was within a reasonable price range. That worked really well. Almost everything went smoothly. They took care of what didn't go smoothly.
Right now, I'm waiting on a call from the contractors to come and fix the nail pops and the cracks from over the winter settling type stuff. But we got moved in, and everything was beautiful. I love everything. I wish I had altered a little bit on the bath on the second bathroom and made the second and third bedrooms a little bit bigger. But other than that, everything's perfectly fine.
I just hope they have the lights in the bedrooms wired for ceiling fan mounts so they can support a ceiling fan. I also wanted to have the windows in my living room to mirror the windows at the front of the house, because it's just one great big giant room. She called me back and she used the same size windows and they are directly across from the windows at the front of the house. It was great.

We also have the wood trim package that they didn't put together correctly. They said they were going to come back and fix them but they never came back. There's also the cabinet in the kitchen that wouldn't close all the way. They came out here to look at that. But they said there was no way to fix it. But they were very communicable and kind. We had already found a home that my wife liked at the Tomball location. But the manager there who was very obnoxious and disrespectful sold the house that we had already been promised and paid a down payment for. She said she has a right to sell whatever she wanted because she was a manager or a supervisor at that location and that pretty much she didn't care about our situation, that money comes first. She also said the other customer was willing to pay the full amount and we were getting a veteran's discount and she would rather make the whole amount and give it to us with a discount. I would never talk to anybody the way she was talking to me and when she gave me my paperwork, she threw it at me.
We called the Conroe location and they called us back and apologized for her behavior and made everything better. They said that they would let corporate know that they're doing stuff like that at that location. We worked with Colin and he was a very sweet, polite, and respectful person. I was fixing to get deployed and we were in a hurry to get a house before I got shipped out. He showed my wife better homes for more affordable prices than the houses in Tomball and we ended up getting something way better and way bigger. He gave us a walkthrough, called us, and checked up on us. My wife is a happy camper now.
I love everything about the home except for the floors. The floors are like laminate and they snag easy. I had a couple of snags and a couple of rips already. Also, one of the lights was pinched with the positive and negative. When we flipped the light on, it would cause the fuse to pop. We called Colin and he had that fixed for us right away. One thing, though, that we didn't notice until a few weeks ago was there's no pressure to the water in the guest bathroom. I called Colin to let him know and he said he would get back to me. I haven't heard back from him. Besides those things, the house and the quality are amazing. We're happy with the way that everything's built and made.

The experience with Clayton was fine. The experience with the people was really good. It's just the materials to use on the house could be a little better. The nails that are used are like stick pins. It doesn't hold the trim on, so a lot of the trim has fallen off. They came out and they put some more of the exact same nails in. The counter, the little marbling stuff on the counter side, that's just glued on. That falls off too. I also had to have my dad repair the drawers in the kitchen because they all free collapsed and it was just plastic utensils, so it wasn't heavy. I had called about it, but they never came out for several weeks.

Everybody we talked to at Clayton Homes was nice and tried to tell us about everything about a home, and all the people that set the home up were there to get the job done. They set the home up good and were friendly. My sister picked another home out. It was a 16 by 68. And they told her it’s about 67,000. She wanted to have it and they ended up telling her they couldn’t pull it out for some reason, and she went for a smaller one. So, I went from 68 to a 56, and it's 16 by 56. The 68 one had more room and stuff available and it turned out I had to pay about the same price for a 16 by 56. She didn't think that was a right deal. That's the only downfall of it all. If Clayton can’t bring the longer ones to where you live, some of these places shouldn’t have them on the lot, trying to sell them if they can’t deliver them. But everything went smoothly.
Everything's working good, like the furnace and air conditioner. I like trailers, and they're a lot cheaper made than a house. You got staples in the walls and different stuff. They make them better these days than what they used to a long time ago. They got better wiring and insulation and they’re a lot better than what they were 20 years ago. I live by myself and it would be all right to me.
Thank you so much for sharing, Toby! We're so happy that you love your home!

Purchased new in 2018 and set up on our own property by dealer. Dealer was somewhat off in keeping promises. Deal included skirting to be provided and installed by us but we had to hound dealer to get what was promised. The home itself was overall sound with a few exceptions. We found insulation completely missing in one wall which required drywall removal by them to install. Front door frame is warped and door will not seal to frame when closed leaving a 1/2 inch gap near top of door, They attempted repair while working on insulation but the repair was to place a large piece of foam weatherstripping on door. Highly inadequate at best and very unsightly. Also the door itself has a glass panel that has a gap at the top of the glass where the pane slid down inside the door, leaving an air hole to the outside. It looks like they tried to caulk this gap in the past but the pane has slid down more over time.
Roof leaked where strip of wood was nailed down to prevent shingle flapping while unit moved. Installer did not patch holes which caused leak during rain. Outside has smart panels and installation was very poor with gaps, cracked caulking and leakage during rain. One of 2 toilets, flange was installed above floor grade causing toilet to wobble. They refused to fix this so I had to remove the toilet, cut the flange out and place a smaller diameter flange inside existing pipe in order to repair. One of the showers leaked bad and they again refused to repair so I had to purchase a new shower valve and replace the existing one. This required removal of panel in bedroom along with the trim. Since I had no access to new trim I had to patch and reuse the old trim which is somewhat unsightly.
All of these issues were noticed within 2 months of owning the home. Some were repaired, some were not. Clayton Homes is a bit remiss in dealing with such issues. Overall quality of home is somewhat bad. We noticed they installed kitchen peninsula one side on hard floor and the other side on top of carpeting so the entire cabinet is unlevel. We had to remove the carpeting and replace it in order to repair this ourselves. Kitchen range hood is lined on both sides with rough edge drywall to fill the gap at either side where it meets the wall cabinets. Very crude appearance.
There is generally a lack of detail in build that is obvious once you occupy the home. And there is a general lack of care in systems that provide shelter from the outside elements. Even though the windows are reasonably high quality we found that the way they were installed causes them to stick when opened or closed. The roof shingles gave up after 4 years. The shingles are the lowest quality available and the flaps were not sealed at the factory so they lifted every time the wind blew. We had a contractor come out and install a metal roof over the existing shingle roof. Apparently the shingles were installed in cold windy weather so the flaps lifted and got dirty before the strips of tar could seal the flaps down. I recommend you climb up and inspect shingles on any Clayton Home you purchase for this flaw.
We also noticed the wide plastic strip around the bottom of the home where skirting is to be installed didn't match on one of the home's corners and was off by several inches where they meet at the corner. If they had used a simple measurement from the top of the home this would not have happened. So we had to make up a transition out of lumber to deal with that issue. That required us to get paint to match the exterior mixed up to paint that trim. The insulation has been excellent other than the one area where it was missing.
The hard flooring material, hardly what I'd call linoleum, was so thin it wore out the first week we were in the home just moving the washer and dryer in. We have purchased new flooring but have not installed it to date due to having to move everything to install it. We have packing tape patches all over the floor where the material has separated and torn. Fixtures are builder's grade with bathroom sink and tubs made of plastic. There is no overflow on either bath sink so no pop up plug can be installed. The unit did come with rubber plugs for both tubs and bath sinks.
We have made this our home even with all the above issues and it has kept us relatively safe and secure for 4 years even considering the above issues. I would recommend this manufacturer especially if you are on a budget like we are. But beware of all the issues and do a thorough inspection before signing off. And don't expect Clayton Homes to be responsive to most issues. Even though they sent a crew out twice they merely did cursory repair work. What we originally spent for the home, brand new was not the only expense we had to incur. We've spent over $8000 to actually make the place comfortable since we took possession.

I like the floors, and the walls and the way they're done. It’s textured. And it's super cheap. We went ahead and already replaced the kitchen faucet. The tub and the sink, they're terribly made. The homes from Clayton are nice but there are a lot of flaws. When I’m doing things, I notice why they didn’t put an extra nail or why there are corners in the kitchen that are not all round. When I was staining the deck to weatherproof it, I was thinking why they used a warped board. Also, they tried to fix the mother line in the ceiling at least three times. And when they were here doing it, they didn't cover anything. I had furniture in here so there were white specks all over the floor, on my furniture and on my farm door in the bedroom. It took me probably two hours to scrape all the paint and whatever they used off of it. It's black, but it showed up because it was white. I would call my salesperson and tell her that it's taking me forever to get all this off my floor and she would tell me not to do it and that she would send someone out. But she never did.
When Clayton delivered my AC, the guy put it right on the ground so, I tried to fix it myself. It was still at an angle. Then, my sister had problems with hers so when the guy came out for hers, she told him to look at mine and he couldn’t believe it was left like that. So, he fixed it as best as he could with what he had and didn't charge anything. These are little things that I wish I would have either been more aggressive on to have Clayton come fix it or it shouldn't have happened in the first place. One of the gentlemen that was here fixing one of the windows kept telling me that I paid for it and I need to get this right. Other than that, I love my little house. It's just I wish I would have been more diligent on details when they delivered it.
Thank you for sharing your feedback and experience with us, Kathleen. We will reach out to you as soon as possible to look into any concerns further.

We bought in a CMH developed community in March of 2022 and to our regret we trusted that CMH would put as much effort and expertise into their community development as they do into the construction of their homes. As of this review, we have been in the home for six weeks, as for the home it was built months before and we assume it was used as a model as it was staged with furniture. The construction of the home is solid, but the finish on the home is terrible. There are paint drops on the carpet, on the linoleum, on the toilet, on some of the faucets and on the front concrete porch.
The footings on the front porch canopy hang off the porch pad by 2 inches and look terrible. I am told that it is cosmetic and structurally sound and therefore will not be fixed. The shower stem in the master bathroom was loose and took six turn to get it tight. Both the crown molding and that where the wall meets the floor have separated, we were told that due to the humidity in TN this happens and that CMH will fix it after the home has gone through all four seasons, but we have discovered that the home has already gone through all the seasons and yet it was sold with this issue.
The clean out for the sewer/septic is trapped in the crawl space under the house, I have recently hired someone to run it out from under the home and to the septic tank where it should be so it can be accessed. The storm door was installed with the hardware upside down and after 6 weeks has been fixed. The light switch in the garage that turns on and off the garage accent light on the front was installed upside down, I fixed it. When the outside temperature rises, the back sliding door will swell and the stationary half will intrude into the path of the sliding door half causing the door not to shut without pushing the stationary half out away from the slider pathway.
The garage is not built at a CMH factory, it was built at the home site under the CMH community developers supervision. The garage foundation is level with the wood footings on the foundation, there is no 1.5"-2.0" fall from back to front allowing liquids to flow out of the garage. Standing under the gable of the garage roof inside the garage and looking up through the rafters, the seam or joint where the two halves of the roof meet, there is a 8" gap which is covered by roofing paper and shingles only. I was told this is for airflow.
The house is about 8-10 feet below the street and the rest of the neighborhood, so proper drainage is important, Right! The 65 foot long concrete driveway which has a 8-10 foot fall to the garage pad was finished even with the top surface of the garage pad. This allows the water coming down the driveway to flow into the garage. This issue was addressed before we bought the home with the addition of two drains, one at the top of the driveway, one at the bottom, but water still comes into the garage and settles on the wood footings of the garage. A fix is in the works, requiring a strip to be glued to the front edge of the garage pad, it is not a permanent fix and will have to be addressed again and again and again.
I can go on and on with the issues of this home which in six weeks have revealed themselves to us, but as mentioned earlier the home was built long before we purchased it, so the CMH developer was and is well aware of the problems and issues with this home. I will conclude with this. When we first saw the home I asked about the property markers as I could not locate them, I was told by the CMH developer that "they are about here." After our first week I inquired about the markers again with the company that did the survey. I was emailed the plat and try as I did I was unable to locate the markers. I called the Survey company again and ordered a new survey of the property as the CMH Developer was no help in the matter until I was able to catch him in person in the development and he got the surveyor to come out weeks before they were scheduled.
As of 4/21/22 I was informed that the SE marker is 3 feet past the barbwire fence into the ranchers next door property and that the NE marker is covered by the driveway. Looking down the North property line from front to back about 30% of the driveway is on and over the neighbors property line and my garage is very close to the five foot encroachment law of the property line. The CMH developers suggested fix is to get and easement, not gonna happen.
In summary, this move has been one disappoint after the next, until recently with little cooperation from the seller. The lack of pride in the product that was sold to us astounds me. Instead of buying a home, we bought a headache. I would appear that CMH is more concerned with cashing in on the influx of people moving into TN, than producing a quality community. If we were to do it again, I would be fine with a CMH home, but I would hire the contractors to finish the home and do it correctly and I would know where the property lines are and would not build on the neighboring property. In short I would avoid a CMH community.

I was impressed with Nathan, the manager, for his genuine concern for everything. He listened to me and gave me everything I wanted, and pointed out sometimes that we ought to think about this or that. These are things that I would have to purchase before I go with them. He helped me through a horrible time. I had to do sell my house but I wasn't ready to. He was very patient and understanding of my situation but yet, very professional.
I went a different route and paid cash. I had just sold my house so I didn’t have to go through all the paperwork that most do. The process was very smooth. The fan blades are falling off the fans. There's a door trim still missing. Their shingles ripped off the house and they haven't replaced that. The roof leaks and the screen door’s broken. I like our Clayton Home. I like the floor plan that we ended up getting and the space. The way Clayton builds their homes as opposed to a lot of other companies that I've seen with my own eyes, Clayton makes a better quality home. I liked the guy that we dealt with a lot. He was really good. He made everything go as smoothly as possible. After we moved in, there were some things we found that needed to be touched up and they're booked so far out on that.
The initial cleanup of the home when it was turned over to us was very poor. But, that was the only bad thing that we were dissatisfied with. And it was out of everybody's hands 'cause it's been supply chain stuff. It's nothing that they've been able to control. I'm sure those guys could probably use an extra contractor. I've talked to them while they were out there and they are slammed. But other than that, as soon as they get the materials or what they've been waiting on, they're out there within a couple of days.
Thank you so much for choosing Clayton Homes, Stephen! Buying a home is a huge decision, and we're so happy that you trusted us to create an exceptional experience.

During the home buying process, it was good dealing with the folks in Odessa. I'm in Midland. My home consultant was Robert. He bent over backwards. I called him after hours and texted him and he always answered. The process itself only took about a month. It took me longer than that to get in the house. There were a few issues but it wasn't anything on their part. It was me having trouble getting electricity hooked up. Once we got all that taken care of and we moved in, everything was great. The Clayton people are good folks and they go out of their way. They even call me occasionally just to check on me.

I have some issues with Clayton. I got a leak from the showers and the reason is it's coming behind the connection of the faucets. I have a video of this. Those who installed the faucets just screwed things and they didn't tie it up good. Other purchasers are also having the same damage. I just repaired another leak yesterday and I found there was damage inside the sheetrock. Today, I called Katrina over here. She is one of the sellers. Other than those issues, I would like to keep working with Clayton and purchase more mobile homes. It's just they are increasing too much.

Hannah was absolutely amazing. There were a lot of things happening with my timeline and the level of quality is not the same as it used to be 10 years ago. It’s in the dumps across the board. But it comes down to the question of are they willing to come in and work with you and fix things? When they sprayed the outside of my house, they missed a couple spots. But they're coming out to fix that. It's a little light on the inside and I'm going to be painting it. I told them if I’m painting, then throw me some paint. Clayton Homes is taking care of the things as we move forward.

Clayton Homes is very good place to buy a mobile home. The sales girls tried to be as helpful as they could. However, I had a problem with the wait time on the mobile home. I ordered it in June, and I took possession somewhere in October. They give you shutters on the front, but they don't give you shutters on the backside of your home. That would be an improvement. I also wish some of the trim boards were a little more heavier and more substantial. I have a couple of doors that aren't quite up to my par too. One door has had a bow in it. It wasn't where it was installed, it was the door itself. It needed adjustment installation. I have had to call numerous times but they have tried to be very helpful and courteous.

Our next door neighbors used Clayton Homes and they recommended that we go to Clayton Homes Snowflake. We called them first, and we were happy with the service that was provided by them. We had several reps because of some unavoidable issues with the person that we first started out with. The person that sold us the place ended up getting sick so we worked with Blue who’s the manager there. He’s great. Carrie who’s also great helped us a lot. They all have a different position now because this was a long process. Laurie is now our contact person and she is amazing. She’s the kind of person that when you ask her a question, she immediately finds the answer and calls you back. She doesn't leave you hanging so that you have to call her back in a week or two. They're organized now, with Laurie able to be the contact, to help the new homeowners. That's worked out well.
We're very happy with the home, overall. It has some issues though and we've been quite frustrated, not with the Snowflake people, but with the Albuquerque factory folks because it's taken so long. Our home was delivered in May of last year, and we were able to get in around September. We still haven’t had the person come in from the factory that’s supposed to fix some pretty serious things. We still have a broken window and some things that need to be done. The first person that was supposed to come and fix some stuff got covid real bad. We understood he was on a ventilator, so he couldn’t come.

One of our windows broke on its own and Clayton Homes said they've been having issues with that. Also, we didn't get a walkthrough of our home. When it got out to our property and got set up, we had ordered it with no carpet, but there was carpet in the bedrooms. My home has its flaws and it's from settling. I have cracks forming in the wall and the countertop in the kitchen is coming away from the wall. It needed more sealant around it. I've been in contact on and off with the person that usually works with Clayton Homes and stuff like that. He just hasn't gotten back to me. The last text message that I sent out was on March 31. They're all nice and understanding when I get in touch with them and they're quick to send somebody out, usually. During the process, Clayton was open, as far as anything financial. The lender that I dealt with was on top of it.
My home is nice for the price and I love it. It does its job and keeps a roof over our heads. I picked out the countertops, the colors for the shutters, and the paint for the walls. I like the openness of the kitchen and the open floor plan. I really like how the second bathroom has a double door. The toilet is separate from the sink. The home is really nice, especially when you have two children and one of them was like, “I can't brush my teeth,” and then another one is like, “Well, I'm using the bathroom, so you can't come in here.” Also, this neighborhood is where I wanted to be. The loan officer I dealt with was great. The home buying part was fine. It was the underwriting that did a piss poor job. And after getting into the house, we've had nothing but issues and issues. We had flooring issues. We've had damaged wallboards. And we've had people come in and out of the house just to repair simple things. Our refrigerator went out. We had it for a month. Clayton told us they would get us one brand-new. They gave us one and it has dents all over it. The total process took five months.
We were told that we could not do a walkthrough until the house was, "done, done and done." And after we got moved in, if I had known about all these issues inside the house, we wouldn't have even bought the damn thing. We had one walkthrough and that was three days before we closed on the house. And that was me and my mother-in-law got to walk through the house. I didn't even get to walk through it with my wife.

The first Clayton home I found was in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. I went there and they had some layouts of trailers that I liked. It was 150-mile radius where they could only deliver homes to and I’m outside of that 150-mile radius so they gave me the number to Pearl. They even told us, “If you go to the Clayton website and you see this trailer, but we don't have it on the lot, just let us know." When we got to the website of Clayton, The Major stood out to me. I liked the wall windows, the kitchen, the big soaking tub, the walk-in showers, and the double sink.
We've had a great experience. The buying process went smoothly. When the trailer was delivered, we had some mess up. We had a windstorm and rain. The wind blew the hood, and it came through the vent. But Clayton was right on it and fixed it up. They had to replace a couple of pipes, one was the icemaker on the refrigerator, but there were no major problems with anything. Last Tuesday, we had tornado come through our area. We had an oak tree fall probably 10 feet from the end of the house. But the house did not move or shake.
When we looked at The Major on the lot, when we opened the bathroom door in the master bathroom, it would hit the toilet. I kept looking at the barn doors coming in from the kitchen. I asked them if we could put one of those doors in our bathroom. My husband is thinking about removing the head off the showerhead and adding a different showerhead to it but I thought it was all right. The only thing that we changed was the electric stove to a butane stove. I'm loving my Clayton home and we would recommend Clayton Homes to anybody who is looking for a home.

He kept us in the loop and if he found that there was something going to delay, he would check it, call and let me know when people were scheduled. He would call to make sure that the people were there at the appointed time. I was amazed. The only holdback we had was the materials when everything was so hard to get. It was delayed a month which was nothing that they could control.
But the home is set up perfectly and everything is good in it. They've kept us in the loop on everything that was going on. There's only one thing that I would do differently if I know then what I know now. I would have them put a living room switch over next to the bedroom door too, ‘cause if you come out in the middle of the night, you have to walk in the dark over to the living room light switch. But other than that, I have no problems with it. This is my second mobile home and the comparison between the first one and this one was like daylight and dark. The previous company left me in the dark and Clayton kept me in the light on this one.

I went on my birthday last year and Stephen ** was my purchase guy that helped me through the whole process. He did the application. I gave the $1,000. That was on a Monday. By Wednesday, Wayde called me. He said, “I'm trying to get you approved for your mobile home. Could you unlock your TransUnion account?” I unlocked it and within 30 minutes, Wayde called me back and said tha I had gotten approved for a mobile home with Clayton Homes. I told Stephen that I was approved. If I had to do it all over again, I would, but I would do it sooner. Instead of going to Marty Wright, my first bet would have been Clayton.
Whenever he needed paperwork, or I needed to turn in something, whatever pretty much that was going on, he was giving me a heads up. The only thing, he was out on this particular date. I said, “Stephen, when they bring out my house, I want to be there.” He said, “You’ll be there, I’ll make sure.” But the day they brought my house, Stephen was off. I would advise anyone who is considering one of these homes to do anything you can to buy something different. They are beautiful when you are looking at them but trust me the construction could be done better by my 7-year-old grandson and the materials used are the worst quality I have ever seen. I enjoy the home. However, there are a little bit of things that are popping up, like the door. I'm having the other lady take care of that. We're also having a few problems like the water heater. We haven't had a hot shower since we moved in in August. We have hot water but the showers are always lukewarm. I enjoy a shower. But having it where it’s just warm, especially during the wintertime, was brutal. The difficulties I'm having with the water heater made my experience a little bad. I'm not the only one having this issue. My sister is my next door neighbor and she's having the same issues.
I called and let the lady who helped us know what was going on with the water heater to see if she could send somebody out. The first time I called her, she said that there was something on the water heater where you turn it on like hot and cold. She said to mess with that and the water would start getting hot. I did that but had no luck. The water was barely lukewarm. It was a little hotter, but we couldn’t be in the shower for more than five minutes. It stopped getting hot. When I told her that, she told me that all I had to do was put that little button on the inside of the shower thing. She said that I would have to push something else.
A guy came out and fixed up some of the edging as far as the trimmings on the doors. I told him about the water heater and he said I would have to put another work order in. I also let the lady know about the doorknob to the back door that was not put on correctly. It has the little crack where the water is leaking into my home. I sent her a video and the only thing she said was, “That never happened to any of our Clayton Homes with an outside door.” I felt that she didn't believe me so I sent her a video of why it was happening and where it was not sealed. As far as the manufacturer, I don't think anybody should be sealing anything on the outside of any door. If it’s the doorknob that fits that door, it shouldn't be sealed. The guy that came and handled that issue sealed the door on the outside. I woke up this morning and sent him a direct message that it was still leaking water.

The Clayton salesman did a good job. Everything went along smoothly. The only problem I had was them trying to get my other mobile home. But they got it out at the right time and the time frame that I wanted it out. They sold it from the site. I thought it was like when you do a trade-in, that they were going to take the mobile home and pull it out themselves. But that wasn't how they did it. But other than that, the lady that purchased it, had someone to come and pull it. So it was okay. I only spent a month in a hotel.
The home is bigger than what I had and a lot roomier. It's very nice. I have a porch on it. The only thing, I wish the porch was on the front instead of the back. The color, I could have gone with another color, but I had to wait till they get one built. But this one here was already ready and it was on site. I also got the furniture that was in it, so it was a win-win.
However, the plumber that they had, came out to do the plumbing on time, but it was a little problem with the sewer line. It was backed up from the town. The guy that came out told my husband that he would come back the next day but he didn't. He put it out for another week, so we had to go with someone else and pay someone else out of pocket for the plumbing. But that was it. They came back out if I had some things that need to be done in the house. The floor had a hole in one of the closets, they fixed that. They re-chained out my back door and they resealed some caulking in the ceiling, where I could see in another room if the light was on.

We feel like they’re family. They made it very easy for us. As far as walking us through and letting us know what was going on, they worked very closely with our mortgage people. They keep blowing off and already filed 2 insurance claims and they won’t replace the roof. I continue having leaks inside my house. The insurance noticed the shingles was stapled. This is causing continued issues with damage on my roof and the inside of my house. I would like someone to contact me about this. Thanks.

Hi Melissa, thank you for reaching out. We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing shingle issues. This would be something your homeowner's insurance would need to look into. If there is a report provided that this is a manufacturing issue, we can review.

I had originally gone to Clayton Homes in Morganton and I wasn't very pleased with the people there. They weren't right on the process and I was upset about that. So then, I went to Shelby, and that was where I bought my home. The salesman, Allen, did a great job. He really worked hard to get what I wanted because, at that time, there were several manufacturers that were making changes to the homes. Allen and I kept talking and, finally, I picked one out that I liked and where the manufacturer would make the changes on it. Allen was great at helping me with that.
As far as the home, I had one bedroom taken out to make the living room bigger. I've only got two bedrooms now. I wanted a gas furnace rather than the central heating and air, so he worked with me on that. We have five outside doors. I have dogs and I have them in the extra bedroom that I have, and I just wanted a door going outside to have a way out for them that way. I had the backyard fenced where I could just take them out that door and then they could come around to the end of the house at the atrium doors and come in. He thought that was odd, but he worked with me on it and got that done, too.
My house is very different because when you come in the back door, it's at the end of the house and it's right there at the laundry room, and I had a utility tub put in so I could bathe my dogs in there. Then, there's the door that comes into the master bathroom. There's a door that also comes going into the master bedroom. So, I can go around from the kitchen, the laundry room, the bathroom in the bedroom, and back to the living room. The build's quality is good. It's an enormous home and it has sheetrock wider than the paneling like most of the double-wide ones have. It's not quite modular, but it's better than a double-wide.

The Clayton Homes rep was really nice. She really helped us out. We were impressed. We had found a home that we really liked, and it is out of our budget, so we started looking at more inexpensive homes. The one we ended up with is laid out exactly like the one that was over our budget. It's a little bit smaller, but it still had the same number of bedrooms. We've got a few issues with the quality. There are some things we've noticed that we didn't notice before, and some things that are starting to come off the wall. Everything's fine other than that.

Going to Clayton Homes and looking at the house was good. But the dealing with the financial people is difficult. And dealing with the house so far has not been up to my satisfaction. How they installed the skirting, it is all wonky. It looks horrible. There are holes in it. Somewhere in the house there is some type of hole that caused us to have mice in our brand-new home. I have spent countless money on stuff trying to get it fixed. We might have finally found the hole, but now the mice are eating the drywall because they're in the walls. So, somewhere along the way, when Clayton was building the house, they left a hole somewhere so that mice can crawl into the house. We’ve only had the house since July, and we already have trim coming off all over it. So, the quality of the make of the house is not up to my satisfaction.
I spoke to Clayton when they came out to fix the initial issues with the house. I told the guy about my situation. And he told me that I'd have to just go investigate it and find out where they're coming in from and fill it, which we had already done, but we don't know the ins and outs of the house. A new house should not have any openings where critters could get into it. And we also told them about the trim. They fixed some of it already once, but it's still coming off. One part of it that they did fix, they did not fix very well because it's already coming off. My husband spoke to them once before about it, but nobody has come out and fixed it.

As for the home, we've had maintenance out there often because things are going wrong. The only part that really sucks about that is our warranty is gonna run up in August and I feel sure we're still going to be having problems after that. Everything was on backorder so it took forever to get the people to do what they needed to do. Also, the quality is definitely not what I thought it was. For the ones that they had at the lot that I went through, the quality was excellent. But whoever put our home together didn't do a good job. They came out for maintenance about five times. I had to get them to come out to turn the doorknobs around because they were put on backwards. All the doors were locking from the other way. There were also a lot of things put on crooked, but Clayton Homes has worked with me and fixed all the wrongs that the factory messed up. If anybody's looking to purchase a home through Clayton, they're good people. They're gonna set you up. But you also want to make sure that you look into your own contract and try to do some of the work yourself. Sometimes the contractors that they use are very slow and are also behind.

My mom bought a double wide through Clayton and it seemed like an easy process. I did the same thing, except I went single wide. The process took longer than I thought to actually get into the house. But I understand the time we were in and the supply and demand. The home rep I worked with was great. We looked at multiple different homes. When it came to this one, she knew everything there was to know about it when we were walking through.
We did a few customizations to the home. I like the sink that's level with the countertop. I like the private laundry room. You're not walking through the laundry room to get out a side door or a back door. There's just odds and ends. I was surprised it's not the same single wide my grandma had when I was younger. So far, I'm pretty happy with my house. There are things that happened that were inevitable. They drilled the pillars for the ground and the home's sinking a little bit, but the contractors are coming out to level it back out. Other than that, we are probably two years away from buying a double wide. I wanted something that was going to maintain its value so that when I trade it in, it would be a little bit easier on my pocketbook.
The process took four months from start to finish. It wasn't bad. The contractors Clayton used were a little sluggish and although they communicated, it could have been a little better. There was a delay and everything was waiting on the contractor. Other than that, Clayton as a whole was spectacular. They did the delivery of the home and that was fun to watch. They maneuvered it in the tightest driveway that nobody thought they'd be able to do. The driver was super awesome and knowledgeable.

Jerry was my consultant and he made me feel very confident about buying the home and with all the things that they stood behind during the first year after I got set up. He made me feel pretty well comfortable and I felt safe about going through the whole process of making a deal. Everything went pretty good. Clayton was on time with all their calls. If anything was coming up that was gonna stop anything, they always called and let me know. So everything was good on that end. They kept me updated almost every other two weeks on the home until it arrived at the lot location.
The reps were very nice and helpful. If I had any questions, they answered them. If I wanted to go check through the home on the lot to make sure, they always made sure that I knew 100% that's what I wanted. The whole process was less than a year as far as getting the home set up. We were happy with everything that we went through. Clayton also offered a second option with the home itself, where we could add a bathtub and do away with the cabinetry, a little space area. So we had that second bathtub added, which was what we wanted. We were glad we were able to choose from that with that home.

He was all about helping me out and very attentive. So far, there are some the things we're still working on getting done but as far as the build, I got a good home from them. It's what I wanted and it's a very nice home. I've had problems getting parts and when they'd send them, they'd be in four different mobile homes and they couldn't find them until two weeks later. That was the only problem I've had and that might just be completely because of the way the economy is right now.

Working with Clayton was pretty rough at first but they did everything I expected. The holdup was my salesperson. It was just very frustrating. My wife and I had to do a lot of stuff on our own that they should have been taking care of as far as when it came to getting some of the permits and getting things rolling. But once the process started, we wanted to keep it rolling at a good pace. Every time we called her to get an update on stuff, it was either she wasn't totally focused or she just may have been new. We had to get the manager of the Anderson location involved in it. Once he got involved, everything started getting streamlined. He was taking care of everything that needed to be taken care of. If I had to do it all over again, I'd do it.
As far as our new home, I like pretty much everything. I do get that being a modular home, you're going to have a few issues here and there. We've seen a few small cracks here and there in the ceiling, which they said the home warranty thing is gonna take care of but we both agreed to let it set for at least six to eight months to where it would settle. If the cracks get any bigger, we'll just have them fix them all at one time, which probably in the next month or two, I'm gonna have them come back out and fix those. We did have one major issue in one of the bedroom closets leading into the bathroom and they came out and took care of that immediately. The guy did a phenomenal job.
We got a five-bedroom, three baths, double-wide manufactured home. The appliances are great. The guys that installed the HVAC had left a piece of plastic in the condensation drain line. So, we have a little backup right out of the gate. But I blew the line out. It was just a simple mistake. Other than that, everything's working great.
Thank you for providing this feedback, Marcus. We are glad to hear that the manager was able to step in and help get things sorted and moving forward for you. Congratulations on your new home!

We decided to check out Clayton Homes and they have nice houses and in our price range. Clayton was able to work with us and show us what we could afford, and we liked it. When we tried to talk to them, we filled out the paper. It's a long process. Because of COVID, it took almost a year to be able for us to move. They have small supplies and delivery so we understood. They did a good job in the place.
We like the way our home is. We have a carpet in the bedroom. We like the way it's set up. But after eight months of living here, the house is settling. I see a little open thing on the corner. It's not a crack but it's open. I called Clayton and they were able to help me out right away. And the tech did a good job. He covered all the patches that opened up, and it looks brand new now.
But I have some things that I didn't like about this house that Clayton was not able to do and have some stuff that they didn't mention to us when we bought the lot. The lots have a lot of broken glasses. We found that out not too long ago when I decided to look around. And there's a cement pile on the side in the backyard that they said they couldn't take out because it's not part of their job. So, I have to pay 1,000 and more to get that removed by next week. We bought a lot and the home together. And I expect that Clayton should be able to at least let us know that there are some broken glasses in the lot. But the house is perfect. It’s brand new. It’s just the yard that I'm not happy about.

We found a home that we fell in love with. We felt that it was known for us and we brought that to the attention of Frank, the manager of the Clayton Homes location in Candler, North Carolina. We looked at several homes and always came back to the home that we ended up getting. Frank guided us through the process from beginning to end and he was very helpful in making our selections of interior options and exterior. It was a difficult time because it was through COVID and there was a lot of roadblocks, a lot of places that we could have stumbled. But he helped us keep going and a lot of that was because of all the restrictions out there. It was difficult because manufacturing was shutting down that there were various places couldn't get supplies and couldn't get product in, all those kinds of issues that Clayton had had to deal with.
Frank came out to the property that I was interested in purchasing and helped that process go smoothly in acquiring the property and bringing it into Clayton back home because he knew that based on the property, he could sell that home any day of the week for more than he was selling it to us for. We knew that and he knew that but he made it work well for us, and it wasn't that easy at times during that timeframe of 2020 and ‘21.
Country Air is the name of our home and it was a popular home and there were a lot of people after it. There were manufacturing issues because they were at capacity trying to crank this particular model out. We didn't have a lot of custom work done. We just made the exterior selections of windows and entryways and things like that that we wanted. Electrical was the main thing and we had some extra outlets dropped. Now that we're in it, the home could be better. I don't know if it had a bumpy ride getting here. But overall, we're more than satisfied with it and we’d do it again.
We've got a few cracks and we had the plumber out yesterday. He was very good. He took care of our attic issue. We had a bit of a bumpy ride because one of the vent pipes from one of the bathrooms came disconnected. We had a heavy downpour and we had rain come in through the vent pipe and ended up running down one of our walls. We don't have our wall painted. I haven't pushed for that yet, but I'm sure that if I do, Clayton will take care of that.

Also, Clayton could have did a better job on the flooring. There's a little bit of bubbling in some of the areas and there is some cracking, like the base floorboards are not secured all the way through. My girlfriend picked the model and she liked it because it was more open. There are bigger rooms and higher ceilings. What really got her was the open room concept. We upgraded the cabinets, and we added a fireplace and entertainment bookshelves on each side. We also did an upgraded siding on it. We did the process right when all the COVID stuff hit. So all of the home builders were behind. We were told it was going to be done by February of last year. But when the pandemic was in full fledge, it took an extra six months to get it in due to the home builder. Other than that, the process was fairly easy because we did some of the stuff ourselves as far as porches and the grading, the backfilling, and the seedings.
When we picked out our house, we never had any issues with the salesman, but there needs to be a computerized system to where you can go in and show the other customers as far as if they wanted to upgrade the cabinets to see what they would look like in the house before they purchase them. It could have different types of flooring patterns and different colors of cabinets, almost like a 3D model to where you could go in of every house to where you could go in and change the color of things to where you can see it before it gets built.

Also, the person who did the permanent foundation for my house left huge chunks of concrete all around. But I'm very happy with the person who put a fence around the area my dogs will be in.
I have talked to a rep about the big pile of trash they left in the back and he had the workers take care of that. Also, they put a temporary ramp in. But I'm supposed to have front steps going toward the front and then a ramp toward my driveway. I haven't heard when that's going to be done. So far, the build is good. But whoever designed them should have to live in them for a little while, before they put them on the market. There could be more outlets in the bathroom and laundry room. There's only one outlet in the bathroom which is crazy. Also, the bathroom's the farthest from the heat pump. So, I have a heater in there and the plug-in is above the sink. That's not the best place.
When you walk down the hall and walk into the laundry room, the light switch is on the other side of the room next to the back door. I'm being yelled at in the mornings when I turn the hall light on to go back through there to get something out of that room and I wake everybody up back through there. Other than that, the customer service and the salesman were great. The guys who make the repairs are wonderful. Everything is awesome.
