    Clayton Homes has good people and the home consultant was great. The whole home buying process also went great. The last ones that built the home didn't put on the siding right and there were big bubbles instead of them being straight and level. Clayton was so good by coming out and fixing things. They had to take the front of the siding off and did the installation so it could get the siding to go. They got most of it done but I’m very well satisfied. I'd definitely buy another home from Clayton.

    Clayton Homes had really good staff at the one near me. The home consultant helped and walked us through everything and was really fast about the process. We went with one that was on the lot so we didn’t have to wait any longer than what we needed to. The home's great and everything seems to be perfect in it.     There’s a wall up between the kitchen and the living room of the home I got from Clayton so when you walk in the front door, you don't see the kitchen. That's what made me want to buy it because when you walk into most mobile homes, you just see the kitchen and I don’t like that. I bought it on June the 1st and the reps I worked with were excellent. Their process was also good and if someone's interested in buying a home, I would tell them that Clayton Homes is the place to go.

    My fiancée lives in Smithdale and her dad has a friend who works at Clayton so we went there. We also stopped at another place on the way, but the homes and the business atmosphere with Clayton were better. The people were very nice and did everything they could to help us and answered any questions we had. The saleslady that we dealt with was also great and she was more than kind. She called us a lot and kept us up-to-date on everything. Then, we dealt with the guy who owned the place for the final decision and he was very well-spoken. He knew what he was talking about and we walked right through it quick, which didn't take us 45 minutes. Some things got held up through the financial side and some got left out, but as far as Clayton themselves, I enjoyed dealing with them.

    However, we had a few problems with the home and made note of them. We had a cracked piece of paneling behind the cabinets, so they sent out a carpenter to fix them and put them back. He fixed everything he could and it was all good. Also, our energy bills were okay and compared to my fiancée’s brother who lives across the road from us in an older trailer, our bill runs $100 less than he has every month. It went up a little bit in the hottest part of the summer but we kept it cold. I had a pleasant and outstanding experience overall.

    I went in at Clayton Homes first and then I went with several other manufactured companies. I had asked the same questions at other places and they had told me some things that don’t sound right. I had never bought a mobile home before so I really didn’t know what to look for, what not to look for and so I asked them and they told me all the pros and cons. I wound up going back to them because they were very friendly and very upfront.

    I called and told Clayton I wanted the home. Then I went in and they had everything ready so all I had to do was sign the papers and get my insurance in. The process took two hours at the most. My house had burnt and they had my mobile or manufactured home within a week. It was a blessing because I was really getting tired of living in hotels. They set it up in my property. They came out, set it up then came back out to fix all the little things I had complaints about. It was wonderful. I have told several people that if they’re looking to buy a mobile or manufactured home then Clayton is where they need to go because they’re straightforward and won't give a run around if they were asked a question. I plan on buying another one and my mother also wants to go talk to them about her getting one.

    When we first started the process with Clayton in June, we first chose the home, signed the papers and we were told that we would be in our home by my birthday, which is November 15th. But then it was moved to no later than Thanksgiving, then it was December 1st, and then Christmas, and then January 1st. Finally, I had to have a discussion with Mike, who’s the manager, and politely told him that if we were not in our home by February 1st, I was going to be charging him $120 a day because I was going to a nice hotel and they were paying for it. We closed the beginning of February.

    We came out here every other day to check on the house and not one person had been out here until I got mad and blew raps. It was just one thing after another. They were supposed to get the access permit and that didn’t get done. Finally, I said I’ve had enough of this and I’m going to go do it myself. I went and paid for the access permit and took it to them. We installed the cover ourselves and so when the house was finally going to be delivered, people could get on to the land.

    We had issues with them giving us the run-around. We live out in the country so we have to have a well and propane. We bought our propane tank and we had to dig the trench, so they could hook it up. We came out here and we dug the trench ourselves. They were supposed to get that done within a week, and it didn’t get done. It blew dirt back in there because it’s windy out here. We had to come back out here and show the salesperson, whom I would not recommend to anybody.

    At this point, I didn’t trust him because he’s like a used car salesman. He wouldn’t communicate with us and when he did, I felt like he was lying to me. He’s like, “Oh, I’ll get somebody out there.” I said I’ll do it myself but he's like, “You can’t do it, you’re a girl.” I told him I can go out there in six-inch heels and get this done faster than you can get somebody out here to do it. I went out there in six-inch platform heels and took a picture of me digging the trench and I got it timely done. Also, we had issues with the well from day 1. It’s like, it will be done by the middle of October. Then, the well equipment broke and we had to wait for that to get fixed. They had their equipment out here for two months and did not move until I threatened to charge them $120 a day. Then, it got fixed and they got it done. If I would have known that, I would have done that two months before.

    When they finally got people in here to get the two houses put together, the seam in the ceiling is so crappy, it drives me nuts. I can see every seam in the ceiling. But now, on the other end of it, a week before we closed and after they got everything done Stacy and the service people were amazing. I would recommend them to everybody. The sink broke when we had been here less than a month and they had somebody out here in the next day. The bathtub faucet, I had an issue with that, and they got somebody out here just immediately to fix it. I suggest more training needs to be done on the frontend, the purchasing. If they would have been honest instead of telling me what they thought I wanted to hear and communicate with me without me having to call them so much, I wouldn’t have been so pissed off. I would recommend Clayton solely for the purpose of after it’s all done, then the service was amazing.

    We came down to look at houses and we started the process with Clayton Homes on July 4th, 2015. I was dealing with a guy who unfortunately got fired and it took a little longer than expected because I wasn’t getting information that I wanted. It took a couple of months to get things rolling and when Jay took over, everything went smoothly. I didn’t have to call or dig for answers and he kept me posted about everything that was going on. He let me know what I had to do so he was very professional and very helpful. There was one thing that was kind of off which needed to be fixed on the house and they took care of it. Everything was great with Clayton Homes and I absolutely loved my experience. They were very supportive, very excellent, and made me and my family feel like family.     I had some friends in my area purchasing homes through Clayton Homes and I had a pretty smooth transition with them. They were easy to work with and did a good job at getting inventory. They also gave me a good deal and we closed fast with them. They had everything ready for us and had given us the option to customize our home but they were rentals so I went with a fairly basic package which included carpets, two bedrooms, laminate throughouts, and appliances. The only thing I wasn’t satisfied with the home were the steps which I went ahead and rebuilt. They’re not the greatest and I know there are better ones out there but it’s not that big a deal.

    I'm a very happy customer. Clayton Homes kept us appraised and described to me all the details before they were happening. There were no surprises and that's what I really like. We took possession of the house around March and we really like it. It's very comfortable and the flooring is very durable especially the linoleum side. We have a couple of dogs and I haven't seen any scratches. In addition, the appliances are a perfect size and everything is serviceable. My wife loves them. On the other hand, because they're all electric, our electric bill is higher but that was expected because we're not paying for propane gas. We have enough savings but it's still early to tell.

    In the beginning, the neighborhood was a little worried because the house came in on wheels and they thought it was a mobile home they saw that it's fixed in a permanent foundation. Clayton Homes has been excellent and I get a lot of compliments in our neighborhood. I have recommended them to other folks and would be back if we ever needed another home or bought more property and wanted to put another house on it.

    Clayton Homes' right on the side of the road when I go downtown. I liked the look of the houses and the quality's really good. We were able to customize like having stainless steel appliances. I'm also satisfied with our home consultant. All aspects of the home purchase was very well-explained. He came out and weeded some of the things I didn't like. I had a ramp, instead of the porch, put on which wasn’t long enough. It was very steep and I could not get my car up and down the back. So, he came out and put a longer one. Then, someone called from Clayton Homes in Sweetwater whom I told that when a little storm went over, some of the shingles had blown up on the back and the side down the west end was bubbly. They were supposed to come out and check that but haven't yet. I went to Florida and so the whole thing was done through email while I was gone.

    I ordered my home July 22, 2017 and told them I would need it by Thanksgiving, I was told no problem. By the end of Sept. I was getting worried so I called and was told everything was O.K. I needed to have all my utilities in which are all done. I called my sales person the 13th of Oct. She said it was ready just waiting for the release, it was finally delivered Oct. 22. Today is Nov. 4th and it is sitting on the property, waiting to be set up for which we can not even get a date when that will happen, and cannot get a return call. Needless to say I would not recommend them. I will give a thumbs up to their employee Johnny that set my utilities up. He was very efficient and knew his job.

    Clayton Homes has done essentially well and I'm super proud of them. Mr. ** and a lady helped me through the whole process and they worked together as a professional team and did an excellent job. I love the quality of the home that we bought. There is stuff that needs to be touched up, but other than that, it's great. And I was really impressed with the power bill. I was scared that it was going to be $500, but it's about 200 a month, which is not really bad.

    We got associated with Clayton Homes because they were in La Follette, which is a town that’s near where we purchased land. They came to town and that's where we went to find out about modular homes. We chose them because I liked the price of the home. It was very fair for the amount of square footage we got out here. The salesperson was professional and knowledgeable. So far, we've added the deck, which Lowe's did, and then we had SunSetter do the awning. Since there's no gas at all, I thought we were going to get a much higher electrical bill because everything is running on electricity. But so far, so good.

    We'd gone through a warm summer and my only complaint about the home is that it retains the heat, it just won’t cool off. But we've been very pleased with our home. And because of the area we're in, they wanted the pitch of the roof to be higher than a normal modular home. They had to collapse to bring it in, and then they jacked it up. And we suffered two major leaks that actually came out of the light fixtures. The next day, they came out, and this guy, his name is James, did a lot of little ticky-tacky things that were wrong with the home. He's done an excellent job.

    Other than that, the only bad experience I had with Clayton is there was about a week and a half that they did absolutely nothing to the home at all. We rented a house out here, 2.2 miles away from where they were putting it all together so we could see them drive our home by with a truck, and the excuse they could come up is that it's rainy. While it's pure speculation on my part, what happened is that they either had a whole bunch of people that bought homes in this area from Steve, who is in charge and they just didn’t have the staff to keep going. During the week and a half they did nothing, I was paying rent on the home, and also got all our stuff in a storage, so my wife and I were anxious. I was out at the site every single day. I talked to the guys that did the work, got to know their family history and everything.

    Since we were impatient, we were in constant contact with one of the salespeople down there. He then said to me that my number's up, they're going to my home and they really got going. I can also understand that it was the middle of winter, but here in Tennessee, we don’t get much snow. When they brought the concrete truck in for the footers, it almost tipped over because the ground was so saturated with rain. With this, I give them an A plus on everything else. But it would be hard for me to recommend a modular home.

    Clayton Homes was the first place I walked into. The people there were great, so I just decided to go with them. They hooked me up with something good and these guys were awesome.     Started my purchase in August 2017. Got all paperwork completed signed closing on Sept 27, 2017. I was told I would be in my home by October or end of it. If I wasn't my things could go in and it shouldn't be much later for me. I had told my salesperson that my lease is over the end of October so I needed to be in my home no later than that time. My sales consultant was Scott, I never purchased a mobile home. I am not accustomed to not getting keys at closing. I had to put my things in storage so that's more money out of my pocket that I felt shouldn't be.

    My husband and I is moving around and around with family members and I don't like this at all. My salesman called one day last week to give me an update. Actually it wasn't one because he didn't have any good news. So now I get depressed because I am still with no real place to lay my head. The least they could do is assist with my storage fees. Still waiting for some real news actually waiting to see progress.

    My son found Clayton Homes and we never bothered looking at others. I liked them from the very beginning when I first looked at them. Their rep was very good and knowledgeable. I liked her right away. There have been a few problems, but then you don't tow something like that for several hundred miles without having problems. They've been very honest and forward in trying to get things straightened out for us. Plus, they are very quick to respond. My son had his own place and he said this one's three times bigger than his. In addition, the energy bill's really great. Clayton reps helped put an awning on the back patio.     We bought the house from Clayton Homes in November. We signed the papers in February – March of this year and the purchase was easy. We enjoyed testing with the guy we were dealing with. He was a great help and he did everything he said he would do. Then we dealt with Kaye who explained things and she was great. On the other hand, we had some hiccups trying to get everything hooked up. Where we moved our trailer to is behind my daughter in southern law zone and they are blessed with rocks. The septic cost over $10,000 to put in because all the rocks had to be moved. That’s on top of the gravel to do the driveway. Also, I complained about the house being too high above the ground. They said it had to be that way but I said that it doesn't.

    In addition, the appliances are supposed to be nine grand and they’re cheaply made. When you put a skillet on the stove and turn the burner on, it makes a noise and so, I have to play on the skillet. Also, the dishwasher doesn't clean the dishes. My husband and I have no idea if there’s not enough water coming to the dishwasher. The biggest complaint I have is the water tank which I'm not really happy with. It was one of those things that you buy it as it is. It’s not big enough for the bathtub and everything else that you have to get a water tank for. It’s only a 35-gallon and we needed a bigger one.

    We’ve mentioned it before when people from Clayton called to ask how things were going and they said that that's what we got. We’ve had to have them to come out and take the security thing off the tub and it wouldn’t get hot. I told them that I'm the owner of the house and I want the thing off there. It’s still on there because even when it’s in full force, nothing was happening. The rep told us not to hold a promo or don’t call them for the promo. We were very upset about that. But all in all, we've had a good experience and I've recommended them

    I had lived in Marlette Homes for 30 years at Washington State so I was already familiar with it being, at one time, the best mobile home that there was on the market. My salesperson was Donna and she’s very professional. We talked about everything they need to do. She knew the product and went over everything very thoroughly with me. A few times, I have had their maintenance staff out there to fix some things in the home and I’m very happy with the response. In the summer the weather is warmer, I noticed that the energy-efficient appliances don't require as much heat. However, in terms of the overall quality of the Clayton Homes, I’m disappointed with the things they found unfixable by the maintenance. They’ve resolved most of the workmanship but they’re not taking the time to build in quality. I didn’t let Donna off the hook a little bit because I’d explained to her and said that some of the things were not her fault. 

    They’re coming from the factory this way and those weren’t tacked down. They got a lot of younger people in the factory in Arizona that were being rushed because Marlette is such a good brand. There’s a big gouge in some of the sidings on the wooden cabinets and we’re going to have to fill in with linseed oil but it should’ve been caught at the factory. I just let Donna go on that because there's no sense in coming out here but I had my expectations a little bit too high and comparing Marlette Home to this one. Marlette was a nice mobile home and it was in good shape. Other than that, my purchasing experience with Clayton Home and their home itself were all right. There were things that need to be corrected at the factory, but it’s nothing to me and I’m willing to correct the things that I can take care of myself.

    I had already bought a couple of homes from Clayton Homes before. I was well pleased with the home buying process there and my home consultant, Steve, was good. Recently, I called Steve and told him the type of home I was interested in. He called me back because a good, used home was available. I looked at it and decided right then that I would get it, and it was just a matter of time getting the home moved under my name. The purchasing process was quick. I purchased this home back in December and I was able to move in in January.

    Clayton Homes explained what was wrong with all the homes that are bought from them. This is the third home that I bought from them. It was a used home but it wasn’t that old, and I just had to do some repairs and upgrades. I installed cabinets in the kitchen, added porches at the front and the back, and put fresh paint on the home. With all the energy-saving appliances in it, I have definitely noticed changes in my energy bill. I was well pleased with the experience I had in this home. I knew that I would have to replace it eventually, but that wasn't something that I wasn't able to see or know when I bought it. I’m very satisfied with Clayton Homes and I've recommended them to several friends. I've talked with Steve to try to get a couple of more homes from Clayton Homes, but they've ran out of homes, so I’m hoping to hear something from him shortly.

    A year before we even put our house on the market, we went around to different Clayton Homes just looking at what was out there so we would have an idea when we sell our house. And there was one that I liked when I walked in that has a twice wide hallway with a living room and a den. The house also had a hidden room behind the bookshelf. It’s where you put the gun safe so the kids can’t see or cash if you have cash laying around and you don't want someone to break into your house while you're not home. But there’s a window in it which shouldn’t be because people would know that there's a room there. Nonetheless, we went with it and sold our old house afterward.

    However, Mike, the guy who's suppose to come out and do little repairs, took forever to come out. The last time he’s out here has been months. I tried calling him up and I got a busy tone. Since then, there have been more things that we have found. I've got a list for him to do but I can't get in touch with him. On that list, there is a screw sticking out of the island. I figured this out when I pulled out a water bottle and they were busted. Apparently, when I put the water bottle in there the screw busted one of the water bottles. They could be a little more careful with building their homes when it comes to that.

    They should also try to improve how they do floors, wherever the floors are done. The guys who did the floors had so much going on around when they're laying the floors and there was debris under the flooring while the floors are being laid throughout the house. We got linoleum throughout the entire house so there were little bumps everywhere. We can't be out of the house for them to replace the linoleum and even if they did, there would be even more stains in the house other than just going through the house from where it was. So, we just have them pay that work.

    There are a couple other things that we had an issue with that we just let go because we didn't want to have to deal with it such as the little cubbyholes on the sides of the island which is different from the pictures that I've seen on their website but we don't want them to dig the whole island out and do all corrections so we just left it as is. Nevertheless, Clayton Homes’ buying process was good and they've been really nice every time I talked to them.

    Clayton Homes delivered what I wanted in terms of customer service and craftsmanship. Their rep, West, did an outstanding job on the front end of the process. He stayed on top of it, did most of the legwork and kept my total stress level down to a minimum. It will be nine months since I moved in the house and it's just secondary house for me. But I could tell that they put my home together fairly fast and it's pretty good quality. The way it's designed underneath with everything sealed is awesome and sweeping the floor was very good before they laid the carpet down. The electric bills are fairly decent, too, even with the air conditioning and that house there is pretty cool.

    I had some electrical problems when I first moved in but to me, it was shoddy work at the construction part of it, not at the dealership. Then there are some things there that I still got some questions on like some soft surface of the floor in a couple of places. But they’ve been all over fixing everything I've asked them to fix and I couldn’t ask for anything better. I could call right now and get a hold of Sheri who is the service person there. She makes their little dealership place outstanding and I can't speak high enough about what she did all the way through the service side.

    Clayton Homes' reps were also very easy to get a hold of and they helped me through the process by their experience, by knowing what they needed to do and when they needed to do it, and the right people to get a hold of. They were efficient and wonderful. It was the smoothest process I have done in my life and I'm 100% satisfied with my experience, if not more.

    Clayton's salesman knows his information, and he was very friendly and respectful. We started the process before Christmas, which was a bad time but I was ready to get out of my parents’ house, so we tried to get it done as quickly as possible. Clayton did fine even though it was the holidays. We've then got moved in and settled here since February and right now, everything's fine, but at first, I felt that I had kind of screwed it up but it was because when you move, everything gets damaged a little bit. So, we had a few little bumps in the road at the beginning, but their service guy was awesome. Every time I had issues or when something kind of popped off or broke, he would quickly get to it and fix it.

    We checked the home builders in our area, and everybody has mostly the same things. Everything felt like cardboard walls, and it doesn't seem like it was worth the money but Clayton Homes' energy efficiency made it seem a little bit more secure. My first couple of energy bills were fairly low. And it goes up and down due to the weather. But, my parents know more about all that and they said the bill looks good.

    We were looking for a mobile home sale and parts, and we happened to run across Clayton Homes. We found the home we wanted, and its layout appealed the most to us. The representatives were very helpful and accommodating. And we looked at a particular mobile home six times, and they were always courteous and cooperative. They never seemed to mind us being so repetitive, and we had a pretty good experience.

    I've had a front porch added, and I'm very happy with it. But there were some issues with the bathroom in the master bedroom. We only have one outlet over the vanity, which I did not notice before the purchase. It's a drawback right now, and I would have looked at them to see what we could do before.     It was great working with our consultant and the whole process went pretty easy and quick too. I got my single wide trailer, but it’s a beautiful trailer. I love it however there were very few leveled walls in the house. I’ve got a few windows in the kitchen that are crooked. Walls, bathroom walls are crooked. I don’t know if I was moving it or what, but everything is totally intact.

    I talked to the fellow that comes and works on them on a new stuff for Clayton Homes, but he was telling me it’s probably the windows and that I needed to contact Clayton Homes. I know some people have been through that before and couldn’t even get a thing done not necessarily with Clayton Homes, but with other people. I don’t know if it’s the manufacturer’s deal or what, but it kind of looks like maybe it was built on a Friday afternoon and everybody was ready to go home. But, it’s not so bad. I can deal with it.

    The buying process with Clayton was excellent and the home consultant was very good. I went with a list of the things I must have and they told me what they can do about it. So, we were able to talk about things like porches and a pantry here instead of a counter which was wonderful. I was being listened to instead of someone just trying to sell me what they had on the lot and I really appreciated that.

    Having a Clayton home was life-changing for me and being able to find what I wanted was great. I had been searching for two years to find something that I could afford and would be happy with. Being able to say that these are the things I want to be done in the house. I've been living in this other house for 25 years and these are all the things I wish I could change. Another is the process, it was faster than I expected and it went smoothly, except for things that were totally out of their control like the power company had issues on their timing but that was not up to Clayton at all. That was up to the power company that lost my order three times and I was very mad about that.

    Clayton did a lot of their job exceptionally well. I had a great experience dealing with them. I also appreciated the professionalism of all the contractors that they had come out while they were doing work. The one thing that they could use some improvement was the estimate on how long it is going to be, from when we start the housing process to when I can move in. Grant said a lot of that has to do with weather conditions but I would have preferred a longer estimate. Instead of saying that it'll take them two or four weeks, from the time they get there until it's ready, they could say that it's going to be about two months, and then be pleasantly surprised rather than extending another couple weeks. I would rather try to get out of a rental situation and move into a new house instead of trying to extend it

    But in terms of getting all the things together, that was great. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Everything including the financial part was explained well, so that was nice. Also, with any of the little problems that happened afterward, they came out and fixed the problem. Their response time was extremely short. I had an excellent experience with Clayton and I'm very happy them. I have recommended them to others.

    Purchasing the Clayton home was very easy because I didn't have to get a loan for it. From the beginning of purchase until all the work was done, it took three months. I was in the home by then, but it took four months before the final payment was given. But I should have read the fine print a little better. I didn't realize that the house didn't come with the heating system. But that wasn't a big deal, it was my own error that I didn't look at it. Ken, the one who sold the house, was great. Jim, the manager, was phenomenal. They have the ability to fix the problems right away.

    Chris, who does all the finished work, is unbelievably good. He is so personable, thorough and clean. Anything you asked him, he has an answer for right away, and if he doesn't know, he'll call the company. When one of my door jambs wasn't correct, he came out right away and put a new one in. When the house settled I had a few areas that cracked, but he sanded down and repainted those areas beautifully. It means a lot that I could trust somebody in my home and not feel uncomfortable about it. I am very happy with my Clayton home.

    I have a friend that works for Clayton Homes and he told me how they build their homes. I looked at building my own house and it was going to be a lot higher for the same square footage. So I went with Clayton because it can get done quicker with them. I looked in a bunch of homes before I decided which one I wanted. They knew what they're doing and the whole process took about two months. I like the walls but I don't like the linoleum flooring that they put down. I have two toddlers and if they threw anything at it, it would get a ding or dent. There's also something underneath the linoleum that was trying to come through it, and I've contacted them about it.

    I made a decision to purchase from Clayton Homes in late September or October and the sales guy was good. If he didn't know the answer, he got it. My target date to move in was by the end of February, and I moved in the middle of February. I converted everything to gas after I bought it and I didn't keep the original appliances. I bought a new refrigerator, built a laundry storage cabinet in the laundry room, put a barn door over the entry to that, and put on a front porch and a back sunroom. Eventually, I'm going to redo the flooring, but that's all based on personal choice. I converted the home to the way I wanted it. The product is good for the price and I'm getting ready to start the process of buying a second one to put on the back part of my property. I would recommend them.

    We took the base model that Clayton had, then we submitted our drawing to the engineers to see if they could modify it a little bit which they did and it turned out beautifully. Their home consultant was very knowledgeable and the communication was very good throughout the process. The home buying process was easy and it took almost a year. It was a little expensive, but it was all an issue that we had of getting power to the property. It was Arizona Power’s weird entity on its own and wasn’t a reflection on Clayton. I'm very pleased with my experience with Clayton.

    We were looking at homes and the Clayton Homes salesman was just unlocking the building. He invited us in and he was professional and very outgoing. He helped us in every single way that he could. I really enjoyed our experience. He filled us up, saw exactly what we're looking for and then that's what he showed us. At first they said that they had financing and I told them I wasn’t interested because I had the cash money. We came very tickled with the home and we paid cash for it. We started getting the figures together and talked about the pad which took about 45 minutes. Then he told us about when he could have the home delivered.

    It seemed like it was a month and a half to two months because they said they had to build it. We were excited. I always wanted our home earlier than you can get it but he was right up front with us and told us when it could be delivered after it was built. And it was actually a week early so we were very tickled with it. It wasn't a sales gimmick just to get us to buy something and not be on time because it was. We enjoyed the home. It is so decent.

    My fiancé and I built a foot deck across the front open and we got a spa out front. We have added a building also to the land which is my little man cave. And we've added the steps on the back. We also put posts of the light. It's all way across the front of the home with pea gravel in there because we don't like plants so it looks really good. The power bill here is unreal. My brother lived down in a used mobile home long down the road from me and his power bill is twice what mine is and there's only two of them too. So this house is very well installed. The average power bill here is $75 a month and that's running the aircon down at 72 degrees too so it's not bad at all. I had a good experience. We're very very satisfied with the salesman and the home. If I buy another home it will be from them.

    My husband and I have been working with Clayton Homes for months now. We were misinformed about how easy the process to trade in our old mobile home would be but despite the headache we continued the process. The installation has been a disaster since day 1. The home center we used never came out and inspected where our new home would be placed they have tried to make us feel at fault for their lack of planning. The most recent issue is the electrical service, we currently have 100 amp and we need 200 amp. We were lead to believe Clayton Homes would upgrade the electrical and as of today they are asking us to get someone to do it.

    This is just one of about 10 issues we're having while staying in our current mobile home on blocks, without water, with 3 children under the age of 12, one of which is special needs along with two dogs, three cats and a turtle. To top it off my husband is working 14 hour shifts, 7 days a week and I feel we are being mislead and taken advantage of. I will not be recommending Clayton Homes to anyone and we haven't even moved in and I already have buyer's remorse. I contacted Clayton Homes customer advocate line and after being on hold for 40 minutes I was transferred to an automated voicemail box only to be cut off after less than 30 seconds of leaving a message. I feel hopeless at this point.

    We met with Ryan, Clayton's salesman, and we discussed what was going on. He took us out, we looked around, and he described the houses very well to us. He was able to guide us right through what the different houses were and the not so obvious differences between how he thought our family would do in the different kinds of houses that they had. He knew what he was talking about and when we found a house, he detailed what we were supposed to do and what documents we needed. Then my wife and I acquired everything and submitted them. When Clayton Homes needed another kind of document, I was able to run and hand it to them. Their whole staff was great and they held our hand until we knew where we’re going to get the unit and when it was going to be delivered. They were very helpful in arranging all the other things that needed to be done, such as surveying, which was a great help to us.

I fell in love with this mobile home. I have this much space almost as a double wide, and it saved me a lot of money. I’m making small improvements to the home. All that’s really missing are the cabinet space and the closet, but the inside is just what I needed. And everything is up to standard.     My husband looked up on the internet to see if there was any mobile home dealership around Neosho or around Joplin area and that's when he saw Clayton Homes. We have been very satisfied with the process and it was easy. We started looking at the home around October and they came to dig and took the footings and things in in January and we were into our home by the end of February.

    We worked through Bill, one of their sales reps, and we were pleased with that. And then, we also dealt with Rusty who was the manager at Neosho and he was good as well. We asked questions to make sure about what we were purchasing and they were able to answer. We purchased a home that Clayton said could not have anything changed because it was one of their premier showcase homes. They do them once a year. But we are pleased with what we have. We went down and they told us what the price was and we went back to our bank-man and took out the loan. Then they came in and did what they said they were going to, although we are finding a few things as we go along that we had hoped might be better like the protecting outlet socket was broken because it was in an area that is too big.

    We also had one little hiccup when they had gotten a plumber or a guy that had our septic taken and we had a miscommunication on that, but we were able to get that resolved quickly. We have enjoyed being in our home since we have first stayed overnight and then moved in. We suggested Clayton Homes to some of our folks or friends who were looking to either build or purchase a home.

    I bought a trailer from Clayton Homes for my disabled son. He's happy with it and hasn't complained about a thing so far. We saw the trailer parked on the side of the road going across the mountain. We talked to this sweet girl who told us it was for sale. I enjoyed dealing with her and she kept in touch with me all the time. She was good to me and nobody that I've met has been smarter than her.

    I had room on my property to put one so we got it moved in. They came in and set it up. They put the front side over towards the woods. I wish they put the back towards the woods, but they told me it would cost $3,000 to turn it around, but enough was enough. I'm not spending any more money on that and it's in a nice place. Their idea was that the little stream that goes through there would be visible, but my son is not interested in that stuff. The men who came to underpin it were as nice as they could be. Then they came and put the water and sewer in for me. I did not meet one nasty, hateful person there. They were all flat out professional, and they've done what they're told to do.

    I was very happy with the way the Clayton Homes consultants treated me. They're very personable and they went out of their way to help me in my budget and in getting what I wanted. They've been more than accommodating and they spent more than enough time with me. They asked me what I really want, and they tried to find it and they showed me. I got a new small mobile home and I had carpet in the living room, which I didn't want. So after I bought it, I had my brother put in vinyl tiling. And I needed something to go around the corner where we pulled up the carpeting. So I asked Clayton if I could order the quarter round and they ordered it for me. They called me as soon as they got it and I got it right away.

    And when my daughter came in complaining about things, I told her that my mobile home cost me what my car cost. And I'm living in it. Other people are under a misconception. The only thing that I should have noticed, is that the bathtubs are smaller than normal bathtubs. Also, when there was a crack in my kitchen floor and they came to fix it, I had envisioned the whole floor replaced. They put something over it but it's still there. Otherwise, I was very happy with my home buying experience and I would recommend them.

    The gentlemen in the Clayton Homes office in Paradise, Pennsylvania that I dealt with which would be Jim, Ed and Craig and anybody involved with that place were absolutely fantastic! We were back and forth for about two or three years and when we were ready to buy, we started looking around and we ended up there. We finally decided what we wanted and we met those wonderful people. The home buying process was easy. I lived in New York where nothing is easy, but dealing with these guys was completely fantastic because they went way over and above with what they had to do for us. We signed the paperwork in December and we said there’s no rush at all because we were purchasing this for us. We were talking about the home in a couple of years but the factory worked quicker than they thought and by March they were delivering it, putting it on the site and got everything set up.

    The house that we bought was supposed to be a national product so they were building a wall like in the central place in Illinois. But Jim at Clayton Paradise said, “Let me see what we can do". We ended up getting a different color on the siding and the walls were different. They put double switches in and heavier boxes in the ceiling because we put ceiling frames in all the rooms. They put jacks for the TVs and internet in all the rooms, and they did a great job. However, we had some issues with the main office regarding some stuff from the factory that was not done properly. They came out three times to fix some problems but they made things worse when they left. This was in March and I was like, “You are not bringing these people back into my house because I do not want to see them here. I don't want to know that they were here. You bring in people that know what they're doing."

    Last week which is September, they finally fixed nine out of the ten things they were supposed to fix. I wrote letters, emails and texts always stating that the gentleman from Clayton Paradise which is the office where we dealt with was the best. I have nothing but the highest praises for all the people working at the Paradise office and I wouldn’t change the overall experience for a minute. When we're in town, we go and visit them just to say hello and have a cup of coffee. We’re even going to go golf with one gentleman before the seasons over. That’s how friendly we are and they’re very nice. I've even offered them to use my home as a showcase if they want to because it's a new model that they made. I told them that if they needed me to do a kind of testimonial, I'd be more than happy with it because that's how satisfied I am. I recommend them to everybody I can.

    We were looking for a new home when we passed by Clayton Homes and decided to go in. The consultant explained how it would work, and it worked like he said. They did exactly what they said they were going to do, and we got the home pretty quickly. They stayed right on top of making sure everybody was out there setting up and putting up underpinning and porches. Chris and Holly from Greenville Clayton were both super nice, and willing to bend over backwards to help you do anything that needs to be done. They were kind and courteous the whole time, and if I had a question, they would always answer right away. If not, they would call me back very shortly after I left a message.

    Clayton was on top of getting everything done as quick as possible to get us in the home, which was completed to turnkey in three months. And any little things that I found wrong with the home, they were right on top of coming out to fix it. I am very satisfied with Greenville Clayton, and would recommend anybody to go there.

    Clayton Homes was easy to deal with. We went out and looked at a couple of different models and made a decision. And got the paperwork going for Vanderbilt. I had to do very little paperwork for them. I bought two homes prior to this one and it was just paperwork after paperwork after paperwork. It was a nightmare. But this was a piece of cake. We purchased our home in February and then we moved in March first. Tim, the manager, has been excellent. He’s been very pleasant to deal with. If we had any problems, we just give him a call.     We got to deal with Tami who was Clayton Homes' project manager. She was in on her day off and she was great. Everything went pretty well. I'm retired so I was there watching everything and I was surprised with everything that went on. We actually went to the factory and saw the whole production line. That was interesting and so I knew how everything was done. That was good and I liked that. We've seen the modular before it was shipped.

    The first crew Clayton had to put everything together looked good but they proved that they weren't. They didn't know what they were doing and I guess they were used as temporary help. Clayton fired them and brought somebody else in. The people who came in the second time knew exactly what they were doing and touched base with me on everything. I was a little leery about a couple of the workers as well. I had a big flagstone sign in front of my house with my house number and the name of the street on it, and one of them drove over it when he was setting my modular. They paid for it and replaced it, but it was still a little bit frustrating. But overall, they're very professional. I was pleased with what Clayton did. We've lived in the property for over three years before we actually did this but it worked out well. We're happy our utilities are not that expensive and everything seems efficient.

    I had a good experience with Clayton Homes. I don't haggle very well so I just went and told them I got extra amount of dollars I will spend for a mobile home and asked to show me something that has flash rate. And within 30 minutes I'd made a deal with them and I like it. When they did the processing, the young man came out and set it up with five different things that need to be touched up a little and I liked it. I also like the treatment I got and I'm satisfied with my consultant very much. The purchase was easy for me because I had the money for it and I did sign up for that.

    I had people come in and they said that the flooring looked a lot better in these Clayton mobile homes. The only thing that I didn’t like was the faucets. Most faucets got air in it and when the water’s turned on, it’s pushed up and it doesn’t screw at it, it's got air in the water. Then it just becomes a waterhole as long as there’s water running out. I liked the mobile home very well but I've already moved out and I let my oldest son have it. I bought a house. I was on the rural road and I like to live in there but at 81, I got to decide I need to be in town. I’d recommend Clayton Homes to anybody.

    Clayton Homes' home consultant here was very good and very knowledgeable. Everything in the house was upgraded, nothing came standard. Compared to the Clayton Homes I've seen in Florida when I was living down there, this is a big step up price-wise. We have the decks, garage, and patios.     It was my first time to buy a home and Clayton Homes helped me through everything. They let me know all I had to do. Jeremy, the guy who waited on, was great. I purchased my house last November but it was only last February that I got the trade away and was able to move in. It took a while because of the loan process. And Clayton Homes helped me find a finance Company. But once I got on the property and everything was moved on, it's exactly like they said it would.

    I've made some changes to my house. There were three doors to the guest bathroom, and I have closed one of those off. I also wanted a faucet and a plug on each corner of the mobile home.     When we walked in to Clayton, they didn't intimidate us. That was a big factor since we had just left another mobile home dealer and I didn't like how I was treated there. They only showed us what they wanted us to see. But with Clayton Homes, they showed us everything and then we could pick. That made a big impression to us. The salesperson, Adrianna, was fantastic.     I bought my Clayton trailer home with cash. I got it with wheels and axle, but they took those off and I need Clayton to put them back just in case I want to move my trailer. But I got a beam showing through the ceiling and when they put it together, they had to go back and do it again. Also, the cellar went down a little bit and I jacked it back up.

    The refrigerator that came with the home didn't have an ice maker on it. They couldn't give me what I asked them on it, so I bought one and got rid of the other refrigerator. The stove is really good for trailer appliances. Another thing I got a problem with this summer set thing is the air conditioning. It's not right. I can’t do anything with it. I come back in the house, and it'll be by 8:00 to 5:00 and it'll be hot. It doesn’t blow out the heat like it does the air. They had to come back one time and fix it. But the electric bill has been lesser in the trailer. I had no other issues here and I'd recommend them to a friend.

    The home buying process for Clayton Homes was good and the consultant was excellent and did a great job. We love our little house. It's very cute and I’m happy with how it looks. However, we didn’t like that the contractor didn’t deal with PG&E. Originally, when he came, he was going to do it, and then my husband made a mistake of paying him with the last and final payment. He came in and got his last payment and then told my husband that we need to contact PG&E. It was one of our biggest gripes because we felt it would have been his responsibility to get PG&E to run the wires over to the granny unit for my dad to live in and also the utility pool that needed to be moved closer to the granny unit. It was a pain and it would have been nice if the whole PG&E thing was more clarified.

    It would’ve helped if they had a better layout of what to expect with our contractor. I knew it was written out and it was also itemized that we were able to take off even the bid that he gave us for the parking. We found out it was cheaper to go with cement than asphalt but he blew that one off as well. We were also able to get a local air conditioning company to do the AC install for $500 cheaper than the one that works for Clayton Homes.

    The contractor didn't reach out to do that footwork for us. There was some homework on our part that we weren’t really expecting and it was crazy because we had just purchased this home. The only reason we purchased it was because it had a spot for granny that we could put on the property for my dad. This house sat vacant and there was a lot of stuff that we needed to do. The kitchen sink leaked, the stove wasn't working and a lot of little things going on.

    We felt left out to figure things out on our own in a couple of areas. We also felt we were being the contractor because we got a plumber out there to put a water softener because we're on hard water. My other experience is with the contractor that came out to do the finishing work. A friend who stayed in our home said that there are still cracks on our walls. We were wondering if we were still able to call the contractor and send him back out because the trim pieces look like they need more putty.

    Clayton Homes had their business in the city where I live, so I saw them off the side of the road when I was driving by. I purchased basically the home itself and didn't have anything added on. Overall, the home buying process was very good and straightforward, and it went through well. Clayton Homes was very helpful in meeting my needs and expectations in purchasing a home. They helped me out with a lot of information on what I needed and how to go about certain things, and that worked out well. The customer service was really good.

    It took a little over a year from the time the application went in until the house was purchased. Because I worked out of state fairly a lot, at times I stopped looking into updates and submitting my application, then I had to go back over to update, so the process took a while that way on my part. But the home consultants kept in touch throughout the day and gave us a call to check on our status and how everything was going with the home, making sure that everything was still the way it was when the home was delivered, and to see if we were having any problems with the home. To me, it seemed like Clayton Homes cared about their business and their customers, and that was great.

    Everything about Clayton Homes was excellent. The buying process was good. They explained everything to me, took me step by step and gave me the best options. Their rep Lisa was also very helpful. It eased my mind that she called in and let me know every time something was updated or if I needed to do anything. I have settled in last February and moving from my old house to my mobile home was a big difference. I like the installation and foundation of the house. It is also very comfortable that even if it’s a mobile home, when I’m inside, it feels like I’m in a house.

    The only problem is since I had the house, I haven’t used the master bedroom tub because the water would not get hot. Everywhere was getting hot in the house except there. I made a couple of calls and Clayton Homes said they're going to send the manufacturer people to me but they still haven't come. I was displeased with that. I was also told to make sure not to scroll the control button, but even if I turned that down, the water still won’t get hot.

    A maintenance guy was sent here, as well, but he said he wasn’t allowed to do anything to try to overwrite it because he couldn’t do it. And the only thing that I could do is call him, though he’d gave me the same answers. So, the problem is not getting anywhere. I had to fix some minor things too such as molding that came down and a couple of light switches. The refrigerator also went out when I was on vacation, but the lighting of the home and everything else was good.

    Clayton Homes is the main distributor in our area. Their representatives answered all our questions and did a good job. The process took three months because we had to clear a lot, and we had the home bricked, we had underpinning done, and it took a little longer than we thought. Some of it was weather-related because it was back in the spring, and we were getting lots of rain. But there weren't any delays on Clayton's part.     I purchased a home from Clayton in early December. I used to work right there by the Oakwood lot in Tulsa and I drove by everyday, so I've seen their homes. Then we looked at the Clayton lot and we didn’t realize that they were one and the same company. We talked to the home consultants in the different locations, but in the end Clayton made the home purchase work out. I decided on the Inola location because I was already out here and I was just searching around for different dealers.

    The home buying process was great. It took a while but that was to be expected. The process, from beginning to end, took six months, but a lot of it had to do with the loan process. Once the loan process was done, they were out here within a week. The rest of the holdup was either with the lending or in trying to find the right payment. I tried to figure out which loan was going to work best for us. I'm 85% to 90% satisfied with the quality of build and the issues have only been with minor stuff like trim. The Clayton guys were wonderful and I still communicate with them. I have a bit of a loose trim and they’re here right now tacking it up for me. Clayton Homes has been great and I was extremely satisfied.

    I recently talked my wife into buying a Clayton Homes. It was the biggest mistake of my adult life. From the time we signed it was all about their schedule and needs and not about us. To start, we were forced to receive the home three weeks before we were ready. I mean forced because I continued to tell Randy in Alvin that we were not ready, gave him a date that we would be ready and still got delivery three weeks sooner than we wanted. Well that was the easy part. When it arrived it was a complete mess. I found over 25 dents in a 4-16 foot ceiling area that were half filled and repainted a different white. There were over 25 nails sticking through the entertainment center as well as six missing pieces. We found a 2 inch rip in the kitchen floor that was glued. All but a handful of trim pieces are too long or too short. In short it looks like the carpenters were chasing the thing down the road to finish.

    I called the manager Dave in Alvin and asked if he could arrange to have all the problems fixed before we move in. He said we needed to wait 30 days and have power. When I asked if there were no generators available in TX he got silent. I also found two handfuls of debris on the floors including two prescription pills. This is only a small part of the many problems. I called customer service with a series of questions not once but twice. They took my statement, I asked to speak with someone about the lack of quality control. I also stated I didn't want to speak with Dave the manager. Well Dave was the only response I got and I’m still stuck.

    Two weeks ago they sent contractors out with a three item list to fix, I have quality problems with every floor, window, wall and ceiling. When I talked with the contractor he explained that they would have come out with generators to fix the problems before we moved in. It just would have taken a call from Dave. My suggestion is DON’T DEAL WITH CLAYTON HOMES. Once they got our money they were done. The salesman always answers my questions with, “it should work” but never does. Now I pray for a hurricane so we don’t have to deal with this sad mess.

    Clayton Homes answered most of our questions and they were very accommodating and when I couldn’t get any results from anyone else, they got the ball rolling for me. We started the home buying process with them a year and a half ago. The paperwork went through pretty quickly, and we moved in a year ago. It was in a reasonable amount of time but we were still trying to figure out what property we wanted. We’d never bought a manufactured home and we’ve never been through this process before. I’ve always dealt with a stick frame house where you look at the house and if it's the one you like, you buy it and move in. We had no clue what was all in the process and we're a little bit underwhelmed by the whole thing. Clayton Homes made an effort but I wouldn’t do it again with them.     I designed the home by putting two or three of them together to get the one that I wanted. Clayton Homes was able to customize it for me and the whole process took about six months. It took them a few months to make it because the weather where I live at was just not conducive. I got everything that I wanted with the amenities. But I had an issue with the tub and the toilet being by each other. So they put each on the other side away from each other. The kitchen appliances were fine but I'm having difficulties trying to keep the glass top stove clean. I bought all the things that I need for cleaning it but it still looks like it has some issues. I'm also having electrical problems right now where four outlets aren’t working.

    But every time I have a problem, they don't just brush me off. They send somebody out to take care of it. They also send out the service manager and if I don't get it with him I call Jeremy. Any problem that I have, I call Jeremy and he takes care of it. He was knowledgeable about everything. He talked to me until I fully understood exactly what different things were. It's nice that Clayton Homes is trying. It's much better than the alternative.

    Clayton Homes is an awesome company to do business with and their homes are very nice. The home consultant was awesome, and she understood everything that I wanted to be done to the home.     Our salesperson did an awesome job by making sure we knew what we were getting into and what we were buying. She broke down the process of trading our home in and getting a new home and how long it would take. Whenever I called she was always there. I spoke to the manager at times too and they always called back in the time that they said they would.

    Everything our salesperson said took place and we signed the papers in December. We had to move our prior home from our land and bring it over then we were in our home in February. It came with furniture and we're very satisfied with that. The way the flooring was made and the bathroom were really nice too. Although the fee was high I would recommend Clayton Homes.

    I'm very satisfied with the home buying process with Clayton Homes. Their people were informative and when something came up and needed to be fixed, they'd been out here to fix it. The home consultant was very friendly, outgoing, and intelligent. He helped me get through some problems and I couldn’t be happier. The land that I got did not perk so I worked with the landowner and I have a sanitation field on another piece of property, which was a big help. The consultant helped me get the overall price down on it.

    We moved into our home a year ago, and I'm very satisfied with the quality of the build. My electricity went up a little bit but it was to be expected because I've been doing a great deal of canning where I've had the stove on for nine hours at a shot. The rep also helped coordinate the purchase of a garage with another company to go along with the house. We have a huge deck with a ramp on the back of the house. My mother lives with my wife and I and we got handicap toilets in the bathrooms and a handicap shower for my mother. Although the process took longer because of my land problems, it was very well coordinated through Clayton Homes.

    I felt comfortable with the people I dealt with at Clayton Homes. They were good to work with and they helped me out through the whole process. It was a tough experience because we were given a lot of information but I’m really surprised it went smoother than I thought. We were trying to figure out exactly what we wanted inside the home and they were very helpful in getting me everything that I was trying to get.

    I got high-efficiency appliances and some extra installation. My home got bigger than my last one but I noticed my power bill dropped so I was really happy. I went from a mobile home to a modular home and I like the energy efficient windows. It's well-constructed and very big, and when you get up next to it, you can't feel any cold coming through it. I also had a big picture window put in and that was one of the things that they helped me with because I followed in one similar to it. They worked hard and got me some information and everything I needed to get exactly what I wanted. We had problems along the way but once everything got settled, everybody did what they said they were going to do and when they said they were going to do it. Everything turned out better than I expected and I'm very happy with the home. It's a good home and a good buy.

    Clayton Homes gave us one of the best deals to get a brand new house. We only financed the house since we owned the property it sits on. They didn't offer any customizations besides the vinyl color and the dishwasher for our home. But the buying experience was pretty good overall. I wasn't a huge fan of the FHA with all the paperwork and all the hoops you go to jump through but it wasn't necessarily Clayton Homes' fault. We had somebody named Destiny as our consultant and she was really good. I could call her and she'd call me back in five minutes with an answer. But they switched us to two new people and I didn't have a good response from them. Sometimes I had to call them back because they would forget. But other than that, they've taken care of me when it comes to getting stuff fixed.

    The home buying process with Clayton Homes took a couple of hours and it went okay. The home consultant was good and honest. However, I wish I hadn’t bought a Clayton Home since it's falling apart. The ceiling looks like it is falling down and all the molding is coming off of it. We had to put the molding back up, it just falls down and I can see every rafter in the ceiling. I have insurance but my insurance won’t pay for something that was not built well. Clayton Homes sent somebody out but the boys that came said they couldn’t fix it. They took some pictures and it looks to me that they’re going to have to rip all the ceiling out. They should fix my mobile home. It's nothing against anybody that worked at Clayton Homes and the man who helped me was a very good man. However, the trailer built was the worst I’ve ever seen.

    Updated on 06/12/2019: I have been in my home for two years now. First year the roof leaked and put two inches of water in my floor soaked wall from kitchen all the way to other end of living room. They sent a handy man which replaced a few pieces of sheet rock. Sure let’s not worry about the long term effect like almost paid for and floor and walls are rotten! All trim is just falling off. I showed two rips in flooring. Another handy man came out and glued it down! WOW. I showed them a hump in the floor. Never fixed! Skirting was old and rotten when it was put on. Front door was leaking so handy man came and hand bent a ugly piece of galvanized sheet metal and screwed it above my door! That was all year one!

    Now year two I have the same wall soaked every time it rains and all wood is rotten around back door! Now I had to claim on my extended warranty I bought. "No wonder they push for you to buy extended warranty"! JUNK also has a deductible! The guy comes out, looks at my Clayton home and says, "Yep no weather damage" but shout, "Shingles on your roof does not overlap. They are not on right!" Now I’m gonna have a pile of rotten piece of Clayton home and out $60000! I bought my home at Clayton home Natchitoches Louisiana and highly suggest be careful of what you buy when buying a home!

    Original Review: I purchased my Clayton home almost 5 months ago. Worst experience ever! Doors have been leaking. Repairman keeps coming out but no fix. Roof leaked my house. Had inch of rain from kitchen to living room. Floors walls and insulation under my house was soaked 4 days! I had sink in kitchen leaking repaired twice. Not fixed! Finally I fixed it! Mold under sink and up my walls now! Trim coming off everywhere and lots of trim is crooked like a two year old put it up! Now they wanna come and replace a lil sheetrock and trim and call it good. That way right after warranty is out I'm stuck with rotten boards in wall and floors! Unacceptable!!!! Outside the house is not level. The siding is bowed out and about to pop off!!! I am thinking about getting a lawyer and putting all over newspapers and social media how terrible these homes are built!!!

    I bought a house in Cookeville, Tennessee through Clayton Homes and everything was great. Clayton's home consultants were great. We looked at different houses, and they helped me out. I got to pick the one that I wanted, so they set me up. We're still dealing with my back door issues, but it has to do with the warehouse at Clayton. They sent four backdoors and none of them fits my house. And when they brought the door and they've installed it, the deadbolt didn't work on it. Also, they only have one maintenance guy so they really need somebody else to help the poor sailor. Overall, Clayton Homes has been fixing everything that I called them for. They’ve done really good.

    I often go by Clayton Homes and I decided to swing by at one time and ended up purchasing from them. We did some cross-checking and Clayton had a really good deal going on with THE BREEZE and we liked it. We felt comfortable dealing with their representative. He answered our questions and kind of even handled problems before they arose. He kind of already knew problems that we might get to and warned us ahead of time. He was really great.

    The house we were in before was much bigger. And we downsized a little bit, so we definitely saw a huge difference in our energy bill and we like it. The appliances are great. The exhaust fan above our stove is broken, and we haven't told anybody about it yet, but everything else is working great. The house is settling so some of the little trims might come off, which is to be expected. We're pleased with it, so far.

    When we purchased the home, we had problems with the finance company. Even though we weren't in our home yet, they were not willing to push our first due date back. Clayton Homes really tried to communicate with them for us because us, communicating to them wasn't working. It resulted in Clayton Homes paying for our first bill to the mortgage company. And that really meant a lot because we couldn't afford to pay rent and then pay a mortgage that month at the same time. They really went above and beyond for us.

    The home buying experience with Clayton Homes was good but I found problems with the mobile home and I'm not satisfied with how they're trying to get them fixed. They were supposed to come back in and take care of this stuff but that's being put off. Then they sent somebody here but they're not doing their job. It's time-consuming. My floors have gaps and hills in them, and the doors have cracks or are not level since when I'm going to certain bedrooms I can see the inside of the rooms. Then my bedroom stays hot all the time and I have to run my air unit a little harder. They tell me they're going to close the ducts and it will send more air to my room. That should be the case but it's not. I feel something's got to be wrong and it's one of the things that if I keep thinking about then I get frustrated.

    I'm getting to a point now where I'm not happy and this is not the same house that I walked through. They told me that somebody bought the house that I walked through but they had more on the lot. And so, I have a house that they had but I didn't see this house until it came to my property and it wasn't even together when I went there. When I walked in the original house, they had a washer and dryer but I told them I will get a side-by-side refrigerator instead. The rep said what I saw in the house comes in with it. But that's not true because if that was the case, I would have gotten a washer and dryer too yet the only thing I got in here is a side-by-side refrigerator. I wish they'll resolve the situations that I'm having right here with the home.

    I’ve been told that Clayton well-insulated the homes for winter and I went to check it out. I bought the first home I've seen and it was just perfect for me and I loved it the way it was. The rep, Ashley, was a gem and she was wonderful. I was most impressed with her kindness and she was very up and answered all my questions. It was easy and simple to pay cash for the home. The total process started in November and ended in January when I also moved. We had the land already and people sent by Clayton Homes had to come out and put up the home on piping and electric. There was one rep who was sort of flippant to me and I had to ask two times to get something fixed. Then, I found out she's no longer there, and it was repaired that day. Overall, Clayton Homes is great and the team was very informative.

    I’ve known about Clayton Homes for a long time. We go through Asheboro quite a bit and I've seen Clayton Homes. I stopped in occasionally and looked at what they had. I've looked them up on the internet and Clayton Homes was the one I wanted. Bill was the rep we worked with and he lives not too far from where I am and we knew a lot of the same people after we talked so he was a very nice man.

    The plug-ins are okay in our home, however, there aren’t enough switches where I could to turn the light on. When I come in the back door into my utility room, I could turn that light on. But I have to walk all the way into the kitchen to where the light switch turns on in the kitchen. And then, I have to go back into the utility room and turn that light off. There needs to be a lot of two-way switches. That's the only thing that they lack in, so far. I also had trouble with the refrigerator, which is a Frigidaire, and Clayton gave me the number for the manufacturer. I called the manufacturer and they gave me the number of a local fellow that works for them. He then came and repaired the refrigerator. Overall, I would recommend Clayton Homes to others.

    We shopped at Clayton Homes first and then at other places and then we came back for Clayton. The salesperson went into the home with us and was very attentive, knowledgeable, and answered all of our questions. He told us all about the place where the house would be manufactured as well as some of the features that we'd get. We got everything that we were supposed to get. The house comes with little porches and nice windows. We spent the extra money for the six-inch exterior walls, instead of four, and so far everything works like it should other than a few things.

    We had a little issue with the carpet where the two halves meet but Clayton Homes took care of it. I love the vinyl flooring that's in the kitchen, the bathrooms, and the closets. I would have liked to have had vinyl in the living room but the place where they manufactured it, we couldn't and to get it at the price that we got it for, we could not change a lot of things. Other than that, the carpet is of good quality. The appliances are very good as well. We got the refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, and a water heater. We love the location of the house and we're very satisfied with Clayton Homes. They were very efficient and we have a very good quality house. We had good service from them and we’re still getting good service when we find things that need attention.

    We were looking up Clayton Homes on the internet and saw their pricing, which was reasonable, so we went with them. The sales guy, Justin, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The home-buying process took a little longer than I expected, but it was easy. We started in March for land and then finished in December because we went through the process of getting land. I didn't realize it was going to take that long so it has been my fault. The home we ended up getting was standard and the team said there weren’t really any upgrades for that one.

    We're moving out of state so we're selling the home and we're now in the process of trying to get some things fixed through Clayton. I guess for the first year it's through them and then, after that, it goes through the other warranty company. This process is kind of both easy and difficult. We've had a couple of things that we've had to get fixed, and it was pretty easy, and every now and then, it seems to be a little more difficult. But once they get the ball rolling, it goes a little faster.

    I drove by one of the Clayton Homes sales center and I liked what I saw. Their reps were also respectful and presentable. They were right there to explain things to me and different situations. They were also there every step of the way with anything that I needed them for. I was very satisfied with their process and I've had my home vacation for eight months now. I got the Glamour Kitchen added which included the double door refrigerator and their flat glass top stove.     I've had my home since November of last year. The whole team at the Gulf location where I bought my home was nice. My sales rep, George, was awesome and very attentive. It's been 10 months since I bought the house and he still calls and checks on me. When my husband was clearing all the flowerbeds in my old garden that was on the side of the house, he noticed that the house shifted a little.     I started the idea of buying a home from Clayton Homes back in June of last year and it wasn't until October that I made the final decision. There were little things that had to be fixed which is understandable but they delivered the home on time. There was a backlog of ordering so it was longer than I wished it might have been, but it turned out fine and I got it installed. I've only been in it since the end of January. I was going through a lot of issues about the house not getting the primary attention I wished it had while I was making decisions, but I'm pleased with the home. There would have been some things that I might have changed if I had a better stance and as such would complain about a minor thing like the location of light switches in rooms.

    I had the best personal attention from the local dealer, Michelle. She took me under her wing and was extraordinary. She bore with me for several months making the decision and trying to figure out how I wanted the house to fit. If everybody would have treated me like she did, then I couldn't have asked for a better experience. She helped to set up the issues to deal with so I'm sure Clayton can't. Clayton got the home set up and they used their contractors but as far as the home manufactured construction, anything I'm not happy with was my own fault. I wish I had upgraded the appliances and the carpet. Those were the two things I really regret, but I was budgeting too.

    Clayton Homes have a standard floor design and I understood that. I wanted the home, bought it, got it, living in it, love it. The home was strong and I will give a 110% credit for the fact that it is super electric-efficient. I've not had an electric bill over $90 in all during some winter and summer months I've been there and I try to turn the temperature down or up or whatever to control it. I would definitely recommend Clayton Homes. There are guidelines I'd give people to get their act together before they start ordering, but that's not Clayton's fault. Buying a Clayton home is an amazing process and I’m glad I did it.

    My daughter and I both have a double wide Clayton home and Clayton Homes Buccaneer was the one who made them. They put out a good product and own so many different types of builders. Their general manager was a very nice guy. He tried to make sure everything was done right and to our satisfaction. If we had a problem with anything, we just called him up and he took care of it. However, we had some problems with the Southern home we bought where my son's living in. They're coming out to repair it, they just don't do it all at one time which is the only problem I have with that. They get so much time to work on something and if they run into a lot more, they'll come back and fix the rest. But they've been very nice and very professional about it. Overall, I got what I paid for and I would recommend them. If I wanted something more expensive, I would have paid for it.

    Clayton was amazing and it was super smooth. I like the whole thing where I can go out and pick out my land and then they come in and buy it and they do the coordination with the homesteaders and I pretty much just sign the papers and give them the money and everything is super easy. The home consultant helped me out the entire time over at the main building and she was amazing. There were a few hiccups with the factory like they put the wrong things in the house at first. She was on it right then and there and they got it fixed asap. One of my drawers has actually just broke in my bathroom already so I called them to see if they can come out and fix it. Obviously, for what you pay for, there’s gonna be cheaper faucets and things like that in there but that’s all stuff we want to upgrade anyway, so it wasn’t really a big deal but as far as the bang for the buck, it’s definitely worth it.

    They put a base fridge in there and I thought it was funny because they put a water spigot, filter and ice-maker and then they put a generic fridge in. But I like the stove. I really like the range hood that they put on there. The aluminum is definitely a nice, modern touch. I really like the pop-up receptacle in the island and the things that have all the USB plugs. That’s pretty sweet. The AC unit is pretty kickass and it works really well. We’re in Arizona and it’s pretty hot. The highest electrical I've had is $340 and comparable houses that my friends have been running $400 to $600 a month.

    I changed the light bulbs out as soon as I moved in because I noticed they just put the CFLs inside the hot light housings. As soon as I moved in, I took them all out and put all LEDs in. That helped out even more. The carpet is horrible and the carpet is garbage. But with the house being on the discounted price, we couldn’t really change or upgrade anything. The only thing I wanted to do was that they put that stick down like big stone tile in the kitchen area and the living room. I would have liked to have been able to have all the carpet not put in the house and just ran that throughout the whole house. That’s the only thing I would have changed but they weren’t able to do that.

    They weren’t able to do anything to my house because it was a discounted house so it was set at a certain price point and nothing was changeable. We just did the things that we were allowed to do that was to upgrade, like doing the block raised foundation instead of skirting or any other crappy stuff. It’s pretty much just those kind of upgrades. They were really cool about letting me come in before they put the carpet down to roll on all the plywood so that way if the dog peed on the floor or anything it wouldn’t soak into the plywood and mess the floors.

    I called them and they said, “Yeah, that’s fine.” As soon as I moved in, I started upgrading stuff but I really didn’t upgrade anything during the process. I just did a closet in the kitchen with the detachable sprayer. I put a reverse osmosis in there also. We’re getting ready to do a backsplash in that TV area in the living room in between those built wood panels. We’re doing a copper glass backsplash in there and we’re gonna hand the TV up. We’re gonna be probably pulling those fiberglass three-sided walls out of the tubs and do a stone or marble in there. Just changing all the faucets.

    When we did move in, we had the initial walk-through and both of our toilets had little chips on the porcelain which I wasn’t super upset about because they just put in standard toilets. They weren’t elongated which I don’t understand why people are still using standard toilets in 2017. I asked them. I said, “Hey, if I go to Home Depot and I get the upgraded elongated, dual flush, would you guys put those in since you’re gonna have them out anyway?” They said, “Yeah, that’s fine. You just won’t have your warranty on the toilets anymore but we’ll put them in for free since we’re gonna be installing anyway.” And I was like, “Perfect!” As far as I know, there’s supposed to be a warranty. I got to call them because it’s just my top drawer in dual vanity and in my dual sink area in my master bath. The drawer broke and they nailed the nail too close to the edge of the wood so it just broke.

    One of the hiccups at the factory was that they made my house gas instead of electric. I don’t have gas out there and I didn’t want them to tank them so they had to come out and fix it and put all electric in there. The gas unit in the laundry room had a big unit that was in there. The electric unit is a lot smaller so then there was this big, open whole area in there. They had their guy, Moe, come out and put in some custom shelves for me in there to take care of the whole space so now I have extra shelving in my laundry room. That’s kind of a bonus.

    Everybody over at the sales center has just been so nice and so helpful and very vigilant about getting things taken care of. Sometimes they had a hold on things and it wasn't their fault. It was the city inspectors taking forever. The sales team was right on them, making sure that they were getting them to get out there quick to get the house going and it ended up being set back a month or so but it was due to the city and they did everything to make it comfortable and as easy as possible. It’s perfect. Definitely, something I’d recommend to other people in the future.

    I went to Clayton Homes, looked around and said I was going to shop around. I went to a few other places but they didn't have the motivation to make a sale so I went back over to Clayton Homes and told them I wanted to buy something. The lady that helped me did an excellent job. She started showing me one home and I kept looking and bought one. She told me to call her anytime I had a question and that was a plus for me. She always answered my questions and if she wasn't there or I called and she was busy, the other staff were all very helpful, polite and none of them was pushy.

    I had a country sink which I didn't like. I wanted the stainless type and I got that. And then I wanted a wall taken out and they did that. They also changed the bathroom. Instead of having two sinks in the vanity, which left me no room for putting anything, I just had one. I also didn't want the steps. I have people help me build my deck, so I didn't want to buy deck steps. They let me use some of those cheap steps until I got my deck built. And then I called and said I'm going to bring the steps back to them but another guy dropped by and picked them up. Everything has been take care of. I also planted flowers to try and make it look better. If someone offered me enough money, I'll sell it and go buy another house. And I wouldn't go anywhere but over at Clayton and see the lady that helped me. I highly recommend Clayton Homes and I tell people around here that I have them.

    We looked at several, different places and Clayton Homes had more work that we were interested in. I liked the mobile home model that we chose. We got the anniversary model which is a nice-looking home. It came automatically with more options such as the bathtub, the different kitchen sink, and the country style. When we first visited the place, we were stuck there for about an hour and we just wanted to window shop and look around. We met the sales rep, George, then and he walked us around. Several months later, we went back and decided to purchase a home from them and we asked for George specifically. He helped us with whatever we needed and he was a big, deciding factor in why we went with Clayton Homes.

    We started out in the waiting list for the mobile home that we picked. We actually started the buying process around the beginning of October, then we initially put down our deposit. But after they put the house up there, we had an issue with the electrical wiring and it took almost an extra month before we were able to get the house connected to electricity. Then we moved in and we've been living in this home since January. The energy bills have been decent. We've been paying less than $200 a month for energy.

    I worked with Chuck at Clayton Homes. There were a couple of customers and he was very helpful in getting everything put together. He came out with the crew that prepared the land, put the house up and did the accessories. They did a nice job. However, they did all of those lever handles interior but made the exterior with round knobs. I’m 87 years old and barely able to grab the round knobs. I tried to contact Clayton Homes about changing it but they said that the round knobs are all they were going to supply. It’s a little perturbing and they should have taken my age into consideration. But the timeline was very good. Clayton Homes have a good maintenance person and they did a fine job keeping up with the problems.

    We bought our home a little over a year ago. The minute it was delivered to the dealership we had issues. They assured us everything would be fixed. A man came out three times and was here less than two hours each time. We requested a manager come out and look at our house to see how poorly it was put together. One of the things he was "supposed" to fix was our front and back door. We could see daylight through the front door. He made it worse. Before at least it did not leak. When he was finished not only did it have a huge gap in it, when it rains it rains in my house. You can only imagine our frustration with the current 28 inches of rain we got. Constantly having to clean up with a towel. Not to mention my living room being completely flooded because the rain came through my front door.

    There are things under the linoleum that are causing it to tear. The man that did came out cut our linoleum and put patches on it which look horrible. Not what you would expect for buying a brand new house. We talked with someone from Clayton Homes a few days before the hurricane and told them our worries with all the rain we were going to get. And the fact that the rain came straight through our door in our house. He assured us he would send someone out. We haven't seen a single person or received a call on when or why they never came. We absolutely love our house. And went to several dealerships that were trying to screw us, so we would take our down payment back. We did get a great deal with Fayette Country Homes. But everything after that has been a nightmare. Have talked with 3 other people that bought their homes there as well. All having similar issues!

    I would recommend Clayton Homes but there have been a few hiccups that I've not been very happy about. What made the buying process bad was the way Clayton Homes dragged their feet on the loan that took several months. They didn't like the fact that we got a 30-foot right of way on their property and that caused a big delay. I also had a problem with the guy who did my cinder blocks. He left a big gap between the blocks and the house and he has not come and fixed it yet. We moved in the house December the 23rd. I've called in this morning and left him a message because I may need to get it pressure washed and get the blocks finished. I can't do that while he gets the gap fixed.

    My husband has passed away since we bought the Clayton home. We purchased it for his brother, an elderly who lived down in Florida by himself, and he's the person who lives in the house. As far as the purchasing process of the house and working with the sales representative, it went very well and we were very happy with that. Oscar, the home consultant, was great and easy to get a hold of. If we had problems or questions, we called him and he would call us back. So we were happy with him as well. The home got finished ahead of time, however, there were some plumbing issues and the house was supposed to be wired for a telephone line. But when my brother-in-law had the people from Clayton come out, they said that there was no wire in the wall. Other than that, our experience with Clayton homes was painless. There were a few bumps on the road but no process is going to be perfectly smooth.

From all the complaints we read, it appears if you finance, they treat your purchase with more attention, and are very responsive to you. However, if you pay cash, the trend we saw is you are no longer a valued customer. We can only assume that having it financed gives you some leverage to use the mortgage company to assist in having repairs and set-up done properly. The salesman, David, was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. The home we wanted had to be built in Tennessee because we wanted a few changes to the floor plan. We were told about a month later, of the date/time our home would arrive at the Conway sales location.

    Of course being excited to see the home for the first time, we set out to the Conway sales location to await the arrival of our new home. When it arrived, the excitement was swiftly let out of our sails! The home had extensive damage to the rear left corner - we later found out from the driver that he misjudged a deep ditch when pulling out of a gas station along the way. Needless to say, the vinyl, particle board underneath it, and weather covering were missing. We were told that it was mostly cosmetic and nothing to be alarmed about, that it could be fixed when delivered to our property.

    We understood that accidents happen, and from the looks of the damage, we felt it could and would be repaired as they stated. With that said, we said okay! After the date of delivery passed, we called to find out what was wrong. We were told that the weather ahead was not looking good and would be put off for a week. We said, okay - we understand. After the second week passed, we called and asked what was wrong (weather was great). We were told that the deliverer was backed up and could not get to us for another week. Well, we came this far, another week will not hurt - right? When another week passed and we still had no visual on our home, we called and could not reach our salesman, no manager, and no callback.

    The next day we drove to the sales location and asked what was going on. We were told that delivery was scheduled for the following week. Frustration has set in and faith in what we are being told is near zero. It turned out that nearly two weeks later we finally were told that the home was on its way. We thought this was going to be a fabulous day! This is a big event that gets you all excited - like Christmas morning - right? Wrong!!!

    As of today's date - nearly 2 YEARS later - our home still has no underpinning, no permanent front or rear porch because the home has never been set up properly. The concrete blocks on one corner simply sway in the wind like a small branch. Other blocks under the home are doing the same thing. The quality of contractors used is something to see! I won't go into specifics here, but will when we enter mediation soon. Our home "LITERALLY" moves from side to side when you walk down the hall. Our doors still do not close properly, and there is "popping" on the floor when walking around. The home is not level, and never has been. The initial set-up of the home was never completed because we were told by the deliverers that they would come back and finish the next day - never happened!

    We cannot get insurance on the home because it does not meet the "basic" county standards to be eligible for insurance coverage. This story is such a shame, it should be posted on a billboard for all to see... Oh, we did get the damaged left rear of the home repaired - about four months "after" delivery! While so much time has passed (TWO YEARS), we are still waiting for ANY type of response from William (Bill) ** of Clayton Homes in Conway, SC. Literally dozens of calls, emails, and personal visits cannot seemingly get his attention.

    I went to a lot of different Clayton Home dealerships in the area and in Mississippi and the Hammond dealership was by far the most outstanding as far as customer service goes.     I went to Clayton Homes in the Somerset office to look at some homes and the people there were all very personable. The rep, Billy, took me around, we made a look, and we went back to his office. He sat me down and we discussed what it was I was looking for and what I needed. He took all that into account.     However, I couldn’t get the one that I was really wanting on my timeline.     I bought a Clayton home for my stepson and I was going to co-sign for him but I found out he wasn’t divorced when we got the paperwork so I had to put it my name. We bought a closeout model home and Clayton had furniture added in. The old home we had was a Clayton 2003 model and the new owner doesn’t keep it real cold in the house but the bill is about $50 a month higher than the new Clayton home. My stepson’s girlfriend keeps it a lot colder and used the AC a lot more in the new Clayton home, so it's very energy efficient.

    We tried to get a finance at the time but we didn’t get through that so we’re paying cash. I wish that there’d been some financing available. I talked to a couple of places and got to the financing that was offered through them but we didn’t take the bill. On the other old Clayton home, I had a commercial loan on it and I thought that I could go to them and add on a loan. However, they said no and that they don't do single-wide models. Other than the financing, everything worked well with Clayton Homes. All the people I dealt with were very professional and the experience was certainly pleasant.

    I told my son-in-law that I was having trouble with my bath tub faucets. I kneel down the floor to wash my hair because it's easier and the faucets wouldn't stay up. My daughter recommended Clayton Homes and she's the one that was bringing me back and forth and taking time from work to make sure I got there. Clayton Homes is really awesome. I called and they said that all people have them. I've also gone to the post office 'cause I had a letter from them about the faucets. Clayton Homes can't ask for better people.

    The only thing I wasn't satisfied with was the guy they sent to repair my bathroom. He glued the carpet together and it looks horrible. I didn't want to put the man in trouble and I didn't say anything when he was here, but I'm paying too much money so I called but I felt bad after because the second time he came, the boss was with him. The guy told me I made him look bad. So I talked to the boss and his boss told me, "I've never had a complaint against this person." I said, "That's what I'm saying. Maybe we rubbed each other the wrong way but the man should not have told me that this was the best." He didn't tell me that it was the best he could do. But other than that, Clayton Homes has been great. They had sent me a small can of cookies and whatever they can afterwards.

    The buying process with Clayton Homes was all right and the salesman was great. But there's a really bad squeak in the kitchen, and the reps came and put two little pieces of one by one's under there. It stopped for a whole day, but the leak came back and it's like they just put a BAND-AID on it. They're also supposed to come back for a drain leak that they fixed because they have to put the installation back and they haven't done it yet. Plus the squeak on the floor is still there after they came out to fix it in March. I'm satisfied with them but there were a few things that they're busy with. When you pay $80,000 for a home, you expect it to not have something wrong with it for a while. Overall I love my home and everybody that sees it loves it. It feels like a home, the homes are well built and the people are nice. The reps will get back to you usually. I bought off of them before and I was satisfied with the other home that I got, which was why I came back to them.

On the other hand, I'm not happy about the underpinning. It was put on very sloppily. It keeps folding out and it's broken in places where the ground isn't smooth.     I visited around some different areas in town looking at different homes and I wasn't satisfied with the other dealerships I talked to. I went into Clayton then it pretty much was a no-brainer. They let us look around, left us at ease and let us make our own decision. Clayton Homes use their own finance sources, which made it really easy for us. I've had some problems with the home after the sale but they’ve been addressed throughout the process. I'm still having some issues that are outside of Clayton's hands as far as the actual location, but it's more of a manufacturer issue. I've got an appointment with them to come out Friday of next week. They will do some reevaluation on what needs to be taken care of, so they're on top of it, but I'm still waiting.

    It's nice to deal with a quality person, the manager, Brad, at Clayton. He's a great guy and a man of his word who will do what he says. Jonathan, the salesperson, is a no-pressure salesperson who made me feel comfortable. We became friends not only through the business transaction. Clayton has been excellent in their service as far as those two individuals that I've been dealing hand-in-hand with are concerned. I'm very appreciative of the way they've taken good care of me and I would recommend someone to these two guys at Clayton. Overall, I had a great buying experience and I love my home.

The total process took about four months and what took them so long was getting permits. It was around Christmas and Thanksgiving and there were a lot of shutdowns done.     I liked Clayton Homes for their floor plans. They listened to what I need and how I felt, and then took care of those needs themselves instead of putting me in a home that's too much or too little for me just to make a sale. I bought my house in December and had to wait for the factory and different options. But they were able to get me into a model home that was on their lot. They delivered the house by December 23rd and worked hard so that my family and I could be in it for Christmas. I enjoyed the home but it didn't come with an over-the-stove microwave so I had to install one which costed me $100.

    We viewed some units from Clayton Homes and the people there were great and cooperative. When I got to walk around of the homes, the manager went with me. I modified a home that I've seen on the internet. It was a basic model but we did some modifications to it before it was built. Communicating with them was easy, other than the delay in building it but that was because of the holidays. I was told they normally take four to five weeks to build one but it took a little bit longer because they were backlogged in their home building in Savannah.

    The people that set it up did a good job. I have had two minor issues and their maintenance guy is second to none. He's an old who's been in the mobile home business for 30 something years. So there's not much about a mobile home he does not know. And he is one of the most polite, easygoing, easy to communicate with person I've ever met. He came out last week because my roof leaked. He saw what the problem was, fixed it, and told us how to fix the small water stain on the ceiling. He is extremely knowledgeable and nice. Overall, my experience with Clayton Homes was pleasant. The whole process was conducted without any confusion and went off without a hitch. I would definitely recommend them.

    Everything went good. I was referred to Clayton Homes and when I walked in, I spoke with Darryl and he was nice. He was given the keys to go looking at all the homes and we were able to shop around by looking at all the homes by ourselves and look at each room. We weren't pressured. We really enjoyed looking for a house on our own and not having somebody there saying this and that about a home.

    Once we found the one we liked, we walked in and told Darryl about it. He helped us get the best deal and the lowest price. Every problem we've had since we’ve moved in, he has always helped and got someone there to fix it. I talked to Darryl every day for three months and now, we're waiting on the carpet people from the manufacturer to come fix their mistakes with the carpet.

    We've had excellent service they've been vey helpful at Clayton Homes. I didn't have any problems with anything except once they've put the home in. But these are just the normal problems that you have here and there that they would need to come fix. But other than that, everything was great and I've already recommended them to a couple of people.

    I went by Clayton Homes everyday going to work for about 17 years before I finally bought a new mobile home from them. Donnie, the guy I dealt with, was just gold. I gave a $4,000 down and then I found out my mother was going to come and live with me so I told Donnie it would be next year. They refunded my deposit that I put down, no questions asked. And the following year I went in and picked one out. We made the deal and everything moved along right as scheduled. As soon as we got started with the home it took longer to pick out which one I wanted than it did to get here. One of the people they know that's contracting for them took care of things that needed to be done.

    Donnie knows his business, his job and what he needs to do. Any questions you have he's so thorough about making sure you understand because there's a lot of cost to getting a mobile home set up on a piece of land that hasn't been developed and he went over all it. Michelle, the customer service gal at the office, picked it up from where Donnie left off and got me in. She also went above and beyond making sure that I understand, I’m happy and pleased.

    As a matter of fact they're coming to do a few minor tweaks on my home and I couldn't be happier. Because of my mother's age I asked them to put a shower in the second bathroom instead of a tub shower and they did an excellent job. Plus I also asked for a stainless steel sink instead of the sink that was in there. They did both without any more cost. They're a good bunch of people to deal with, they do what they say they'll do and that's all that I ask of anybody. They're honest people and they just want to make you happy. It was a very pleasing home buying experience.

    We were looking at different places to buy a home from and decided on Clayton since the people there were much more helpful than others. We also liked the way Clayton Homes were built. They seem to be built better and stronger than some of the other places we looked at. We’ve bought from them twice. We bought one home and then, last year, it flooded in August and it was totaled. The reps were so helpful when we were getting our new home to replace the first one. It was a very tough situation but they have been amazing. Everybody there was just great, it's like a family. My kids are so comfortable there that they would literally just take a nap on one of the chairs there while we speak with the reps. Moreover, my lot bill’s only right at $100 and that’s for a double lot.

    The buying process was smooth and the people there at the Clayton Homes outlet were knowledgeable. I felt very informed about the product and the whole process was very thorough. It’s a good home for the price and I'm living in it now. But there are some things that the outlet takes care of while there are other things that the factory takes care of, and the factory follow up was poor and very slow. Also, things weren’t addressed thoroughly enough and I've contacted the outlet to put me on the warehouse and the manufacturer.

    I went to Clayton Homes looking for a home. It's just me and I don't have any kids so they helped me find the perfect home that I was looking for. They knew everything they were talking about. They even showed me the air vent and how to take it off to check and make sure there’s no water leaking there. They showed me how to clean around my tub area because there are tiny cracks for the water to run off. They also showed things that I could do to prevent it from being mildewed. The house is excellent. I even recommended my sister to them because she wants to buy a modular home. It was a very pleasurable experience with top of the line service from Clayton Homes.

    My husband and I are both retired and were not even thinking about buying a home, but our home was 34 years old and had a lot of problems so my husband decided that we should go look. Clayton had the best salesman, they were overall friendly and the homes were beautiful. Their consultants were very knowledgeable and answered all our questions.     The Clayton Homes team told us a lot before we even asked any questions and if we did have a question they had the answer so it was really good. They’re very educated in what they’re doing and they even went on their computer to show us other places, so they gave us a wide variety of choices. The manager even stayed hours past closing time and waited for my husband Mike to get off work and get through traffic for Mike to ask him some questions because Mike works until late and he can't use a phone where he works.     I'm 100% satisfied with Clayton Homes’ buying process. The first time I went there, I found a 4/2 with a den. However, I'm only one person, so I checked the prices out but I didn't find anything else that came anywhere near what I saw. They have a good selection and when I decided what I wanted, they took it from there. The friendliness of everybody there was what hit me first. They're wonderful people and were very patient with me. I still talk to them to this day.

    They built my home and everything was timely. I absolutely adore and love my trailer. It's everything I dreamed and it's wonderful. I even have my little lady cave here and I got a 3/2 with the den. It was winter when I was here and my pipes froze. A guy came right away, the pipes were messed up a little bit and he found the dirt. Clayton has done a superb job. I would recommend them to anybody. Jonathan was right on top of everything that I needed and he deserves a lot of credit. So far, it’s been a wonderful experience.
