My mobile home was getting old. I needed something else and the people I dealt with at Clayton Homes were very helpful. They did everything for me. They brought the home out and cut the wirings up. They had to take some fencing down to put my home in. They also took care of all the the foundation part for me. It's where they set it up with the concrete and the blocks. They also had to put the step extension. With a lot of places, you would have to do that on your own or they would have charged me. But Clayton took care of all that. Also, they were coming through part of my pasture and it needed a little bit cutting down. The gentleman who runs the place hooked up my bush hog, went out and mowed that part of the pastures where they brought the trailer down.

Michelle called me numerous times to check on me and make sure everything was okay. The guys also came out several times to make sure that everything was working okay and that they finally did everything. Although I’m a little bit picky about who comes out here and knows here’s this old lady who lives by herself, I felt really comfortable. They were so nice and I appreciated that a lot.

It was also winter so it was really wet at first. They had to wait until the ground hardened up a little bit to bring the house out because they were bringing it through my pasture and I’m on 17 acres. It was also too cold at one time to pour the concrete. Then they had to wait because my son’s an electrician so he hooked up the electric for me and he had to work in between. But other than those complications, Clayton Homes was always on time. If it was not for the weather, the house would’ve certainly been out here immediately. My experience with Clayton Homes went really good. I appreciated their help so much as well as the extra things that they did that they actually didn’t have to do.

I’m also really happy with the house. I had looked at several options and this was the one that I could afford. There are much more expensive ones and better built ones. There are also little things that mobile homes have that homes don’t have. But for the money, what I got is fine. It is also pretty much what I wanted. It’s what I expected and I’m very comfortable here.

I had a good interaction with Thomas, the rep at Clayton Homes that I dealt with. I found him to be very honest and capable. He helped me in several situations and on a lot of questions that I had on the sizes and the kinds of trailers that I needed, and in showing me all of the trailers. I bought several trailers from them. The quality of the trailers that I got is good, but the new one is a little better than some of the older ones. I would recommend Clayton Homes to people. They would be getting a good quality home.

The trailer that I bought from Clayton Homes was super cheap and so it was a good deal for us. Although the buying process went fine, it had a couple of hiccups. In fact, the contractor that they had was fired. They put on my skirting and they did a crappy job. Furthermore, they refused to fix it. In addition, I had a shower valve leak 'cause it wasn't tight. The corporate sent me $150 check for the inconvenience. Other than that, the service manager has always been polite. His name was Daniel and he called to schedule everything. In closing, there are a few little imperfections, but as far as structure, Clayton Homes is good for the first mobile home that I've ever lived in.

We stopped by Clayton Homes and the people were really sweet and helpful. The rep worked with us on everything and he went above ordinary expectations. He would call us back on things that he was checking on to make sure that things were okay. But for an expensive home, it has a lot of cheap products in it. They had to come out because there was a leak behind the showers. Molds were getting behind them.

The showers are still leaking because the shower heads are cheap as everything is. We had to replace the toilet seat lids on the toilets a couple of times because they kept swiveling off of the toilets. The faucets are leaking too and they have been coming out still to fix things as we know it. The experience is not as happy as I thought it would be. We asked them about the shower heads before and the worker said that he has those in his house and I just have to upgrade. Clayton was known over the years for better quality so I was surprised that so many things were cheap. So although I recommend the guy who worked with us, I’m very dissatisfied with Clayton Homes.

The home buying process at Clayton Homes was long and tedious, and it took a few months from start to finish. But the customer service of Kevin, the salesperson that I worked with, and my interactions with him were great. He did everything that was needed in order to expedite the process and make it easier. He gave me his cell phone number and he was there any time I called. He answered any questions that I had.

I looked at a couple of homes, but there wasn't enough lawn and I wanted more of it. Kevin asked me if I had thought about a bachelor home. He gave me the basic summary of what it is and he brought me to one that was on the line. I fell in love with it and that’s the one I have. The home itself is great, but the way that some of the stuff were installed was a bit sub-par. For instance, when they were putting in the curtains, the braces that they put in the wall were coming out. Also, I have a closet in one of my rooms where the shelving fell and it was like somebody cut corners in doing the work. Nevertheless, I've already sent a couple of people over there and I told them that if they want to get a new home and have great care and confidence, then they need to call Kevin at Clayton Homes.

My experience with Clayton Homes was good. The whole process took six months because the first time when we were wanting to do it, it timed out ‘cause it was over two years old. So then, we had to switch things and get a different house. It took a little bit longer than I thought it was going to, but overall, it wasn’t that bad. Plus, I had to get some stuff ready on my property before the trailer to be put there. Now that we're living in our trailer, it's good so far. When we first started out, the first electric bill was $260, and then it dropped to $220. Now, it's at $150. So, it went down $100 and for the last two months, it has been $150.

I've known about Clayton Homes because I sold mobile homes 25 years ago and I like what they offered. I knew how they were built and constructed. I decided I wanted a single wide mobile home, and I knew what I wanted in the home. I found Clayton Homes in Tyler, and I went through all the inventory that they had at the site. It had a foyer as you walk in, with a bench and hooks to hang your coat, it’s an open floor plan and it's exactly what I wanted, so that was it.

The salesmen were really nice, pleasant and funny. They knew what they were talking about, and I appreciated that as well 'cause if you know your business, you could take care of your business. I was extremely satisfied with the process. The lady that took care of the service request was really wonderful, too. They were all great.

The quality of the home is good as well. However, for feedback purposes, they should concentrate more on the trim work. It pops off a lot. I don't know if the breadths are long enough, but they just do not stay on. And they'll be making their third trip out to take care of that, along with some other stuff. But they offered me a year warranty on the house, so I'm taking advantage of that with the house settling.

I have been involved with Clayton Homes since March 2018. I went through the Crestview dealer on highway 85 and my seller was Dylan **. Long story short, It is now August and I am still involved with problems and unfinished business with my house. The septic system is currently an issue and it took them a month to fix my well. I do not trust this company anymore with my housing situation. When I was debating on what housing company to go through, Dylan raved about Clayton Homes over other companies nearby such as Affordable Homes of Crestview but I honestly wish that I would have went through Affordable Homes. I have been officially moved in since two weeks ago (17th of August), and my husband and I are already trying to hurry up with outdoor improvements so we can sell this house and move somewhere else.

I am a first-time house buyer and I really hoped that this was a good company to pick even there are consistently negative reviews on various websites. Customer service is terrible, I have been waiting for a new pillar for the side of my house and a board for my cabinet for a week now because there are holes in both of them that no one thought to mention to me until I told them about it. Other Clayton Homes might have better services all around, so I will not include every chain, but this particular one has been nothing but a disappointment. My husband and I have 2 kids and another due in January so we don't really have time to try to sell and buy another house but there's not really much choice because this company has screwed me over one too many times.

I visited the site of Clayton Homes and I liked the style of the home. I spoke with a home consultant and our interaction was good. I liked the way he assisted and showed me around, and the price that he gave. Right now, the home that I am in is good, but I had some issues with it at first. With a trailer house like that, you don’t exactly know what to be looking for when you first walk in. When I got the home and I was able to walk around, I saw the little leaks here and there, but Clayton came and fixed the problems. All I had to do was call and somebody was sent out to repair them. Also, some of the trimmings were loose and they had to come back and tighten some of the pipes.

Clayton could have done a little better with the house. I was a little disappointed and if I had known then what I know now about what they had to come back and redo, I might not have purchased the house. It was like a house coming out of the factory and they did a rush job and didn’t take their time to do everything right on it. I would tell other people asking about Clayton Homes to inspect the house a little and make sure that everything is the way it should be.

Our house of 30+ years had burned down and we found Clayton Homes. They're a local company here. We were living in a camp trailer at that time. Then we bought a model that Clayton had there on the lot and after three months, we were done with the entire process. The people there had been real good. They explained everything and were very helpful all the way through. We're also very satisfied with the house. The gas saving is about 50% better. As for the energy, the electric company that we deal with up here is supposed to be a co-op but it's crooked. I think they adjust the electric bill so they're all about the same but it might have come down a little bit. The house has Energy Star stuff which should make a huge difference. The light bulbs are kind of a square and they're high efficiency lights. Overall, we had a very good experience with Clayton Homes and I would recommend them.

They seemed to take more of a personal touch to it, and they were willing to work with me, not just as a client but as a person. Mike and Tony really stepped beyond themselves to help me out and give me the home that I wanted. They were great to work with.

I love my home and we had a perfect transaction too. We started from the very beginning. We went through the type of home that we wanted and we picked out one that we liked. I purchased a mobile home from Clayton for my best friend and his family. It was their dream to own their home. Clayton did an awesome job. We had a very good experience with their people. Even up to now with different repairs on the little teeny things we find wrong with new stuff, they're right on it. Joe was our person and we could call him or he'd call us with anything. He tried to help us all along, found what we wanted and got things done.

The whole process of getting the home took forever though, but it wasn’t Clayton's fault. We started the process before September, signed papers in September and we didn’t get it until February. There was the rain and people had to do inspections too. Also, the land was weeded so it had to be cleared. Now, my best friend and his family love their new home. They're very happy with it. The people at Clayton went out of their way to try to please us. They helped us find what we wanted and worked with us to get the payments and finance. They really worked with us hard to get it done.

Camping World wanted $63,000 for a 43-foot fifth wheel. Then when I went over to Clayton Homes, they put together a single wide for me with plenty of room. They were very good people. The only thing is that I'm on a wheelchair and I live alone. I needed big doorways. I asked if I could get the grab bars for the old me. The home consultant said no. But they got to come and put a ramp in the backdoor one Saturday morning.

My home has everything I need. It has very good quality of construction and water system. I've got side by side refrigerator with a filtration system and ice cold water on the door, and a freezer. I also have a big master bathroom and a bedroom and spent $137 on air conditioning. However, something's wrong with the drawer on the stove. Also, I've got a Frigidaire coming over. We got two screws missing on a window where the spring fixes as well, but that's on the window manufacturer and not on Clayton Homes. Overall, Clayton Homes has been very good. The home-buying process of Clayton Homes wasn’t the easiest thing in the world. When I have to be the one to make the phone calls, it makes it a little inconvenient. This is my second home with Clayton Homes and it’s about the same as my first experience. But the house itself from Clayton Homes is terrible. I’ve had an awful experience getting it fixed.

I got my house in December, and it is almost September, and I still don’t have things. From the first week they brought my house out, they had to come replace my front door because my front door was bent. And, I got soft spots all throughout my floor and they spread like wildfire. They said that the decking underneath was on recall and it needs to be replaced. So, it took six and a half months. We were displaced for a week and came back to things broken. My floor’s not done correctly and my house was a disaster. It was dirty. We lost our first house in Hurricane Harvey and it was like recovering from a hurricane, 10 times worse. It was awful.

My floors still aren’t fixed correctly and everybody’s not contacting me now. I had to call Kevin Clayton and they had to email people. And it’s to the point where I’m now trying to get them to help me straighten my house because I don’t feel like it’s fair that I have to spend all this money on a house that has so many problems. I don’t feel like it’s fair to be displaced again for another week and have to come in and clean up a giant mess like last time and then go through all this stuff being broken that was like last time. I’m not doing it again.

We closed on our house on June 25th, 2018 and got the keys that day, which we were really happy about. We had to do our walk thru right after we closed on our house. The walk thru took 2-3 hours and the man doing the walk thru with us had a bad attitude about it. He kept saying is this gonna be the room without mistakes and when we would find something, he got snippy. Maybe it was like that because Clayton did not check to make sure the air conditioning was working properly (and no air condition in AZ... Not fun), which should be part of their check off especially since we had electricity turned on to the house!

Once moving in, we have discovered that a lot of the mistakes we were finding was because the house was filthy. I truly do now why a cleaning crew was at our house all day because it does not appear they did anything except vacuum. There was a lot of damage to the house during transport so I understand there was a lot to clean. But the amount of construction dust and drywall spray that was on cabinets, windows and screens is completely uncalled for. They should have wiped down cabinets, trim, blinds, washed windows and inside of the cabinets.

The cabinets are not all what we thought we would get. They are the design we wanted but they only put primer on them so there are scratches and nicks on almost all of them. They are replacing ones with significant damage. We have come to realize we will have to repaint all the cabinets ourselves. There is paint specks on almost all of our brown element flooring. This is probably the part that makes me the most mad! I have to get on my hands and knees, in our new home, to scrape paint off the flooring! Vertical blinds did not come with a wand, they said they could order me one. Well I did not want to wait so I bought my own and discovered the vertical blinds won’t even turn closed, so we have no way to keep the AZ sun out of our kitchen. They said they are on order.

Tile work is not the greatest either. Kitchen backsplash has many uneven tiles and grout and caulking looks horrible and many places are missing it completely. The island top is bowed up and two edges of the counters are turning up. Once again our guy in charge of fixing things, is like can order new ones but they may come out the same… Sorry this is not what we paid for! We were not given the option to have a garbage disposal put in or substitute the air conditioner and heater for a heat pump instead, which we would have wanted both.

The contracting/construction company Clayton used did a good job overall. During the permitting process they submitted the wrong design to the county, which I caught right away and emailed them but that email was completely ignored. Communication during this part was not very good. Once our home was getting ready to go to the property, communication got much better. The is just one major issue we had with them is they quoted us for right of way but we did not need it so they claimed they cannot give us money back so we chose rock instead, however the wrong rock was delivered and spread on the property. They refused to get the correct rock we ordered laid on the property but instead put a border on the rock in the backyard. We are completely unhappy with that option! It was their screw up so they should have had the correct rock laid down!

Overall we do like our home but quality control needs to some work and the cleaning crew is not a cleaning crew. My mom cleans houses and I have personally have helped her so I know what a cleaning crew should do and they did not do it. The sales office did a good job. Attention to detail on documents could be better, instead of spelling my name wrong, over and over again. They wanted us to sign something to put in their file and we refused because it had wrong amounts, so that could have been a bit better. When we first started the Sales office was questionable but the farther along we got the better they got so we are happy with them overall.

We looked around other places but we fell in love with the people from Clayton Homes, especially Heather. She was really good. She would listen to us and help us when we had questions that needed to be answered and we weren’t sure about how things would go. She was determined, cooperative, helpful and sweet. It's been seven months since I purchased from Clayton and I love the home. I like the quality of the house, which is really good, but if I could, I would’ve modified the wall to drywall. I also like the living room area with the space, and the wood color, and the dark, and the light, and mirrors.

We purchased the Patriot model from Clayton Homes in June 2018. We have encountered several issues since moving in regards to the assembly of our home. Our bathroom sinks were set in crooked, several pieces of trip are coming off of the walls, and we have had 3 cabinet doors come loose due to the hinges not being secured properly. There are imperfections in the flooring as well as light fixtures missing pieces. Our bathroom vent was not hooked up at all when we moved in. Also, we have an outlet in our kitchen that does not work at all. We have spent the past two months waiting for the manufacturers to come and make these repairs. We had no intention of purchasing a home that would have these issues. The dealer has come out to make repairs already and we are having to get our dishwasher serviced this week. Overall, we are very disappointed and hope that the manufacturer will address our complaints very soon.

I called around and checked prices everywhere. I went and talked to the little girl out at Clayton Homes and she gave me the best price for what I wanted and needed at the time. She did everything I asked her to do. She was very sweet, easy to talk to, nice and polite, tried to help me when I was buying the home any way she could. I took the carpet out of one room and she ordered the same color linoleum that was in the kitchen to match where the carpet comes out at for me.

When I had the trailer for six months they came by and did a walkthrough. I told them the trailer needed leveling because the back door wasn’t closing good. They sent two people out to look at it, and they were supposed to have went back and told Clayton what had to be done. Clayton was supposed to send somebody else out but I haven’t seen or heard from anybody. They haven’t returned their call like they should have. I have not tried to call them because it’s not my place to try to call them.

I paid cash for the trailer when I bought it and I told Clayton I wanted just as good a service as people got that still owed them money. A lot of times, you don't get the same service if you paid cash for something because they don't have to deal with you. That’s not the right way to treat people. It’s not my fault that I was able to pay cash for the trailer. I should be treated just as well as anybody else. But that is the only problem I have. Clayton has been excellent with everything else. I would recommend them because they’re gonna get straight with me.

We retired and decided to sell our brick home and move to another state and rather than build we decided on a home from Clayton's. It's beautiful But the problems began. First it started leaking when it rained. Water running down the wall in one of the bedroom, then at the front door, then the ceiling in the den. Of course they were very nice to come out and fix those problems. Next thing the dishwasher went out. Of course after a year the warranty was out. Then the microwave went out. Of course warranty was out. Then the central unit went out even though we only had it 3 years. From that time till the time they put it in the trailer it was 5 yrs old so it was out of warranty.

We turned it in on our insurance out of pocket. $500. So now today the air went out again. They came out. It took 2 lbs of freon and $172.00 out of pocket to find out. Now there is leak inside the water pump and that's gonna cost $1,000.00. Maybe more. The cabinets where I open out the drawers to get silverware or whatever is peeling off. Water ran down the front of cabinet where sink is and that's peeling the flooring is beautiful but there are dents in the floor from the table legs and chair legs. I'm just sick of this place falling apart after only 3 yrs of being here. These things are cheaply made. I'm wondering now what else is going to happen. If I had it to do over again I would have never bought this mobile home.

My niece went to Clayton Homes looking for trailers before she got hers. At that time, she found a better deal someplace else but she loved Clayton's homes. Clayton was the second place we stopped at and when I came to this home, I loved it. Hilary, the one who showed it to me, was an amazing seller. She knew what she was talking about. Everything went smooth and I got the trailer the next week. I just had to wait because the ground was wet over here.

The trailer was great the way it was. The only thing I was telling Clayton was, they were supposed to send somebody out to check out in the back on the outside it something that came out the top what looks like a pulled or a popped off or a pushed out that I haven’t noticed before. It’s not around the rest of the trailer. When I open up the closet, it’s warm. It’s warmer in the master bedroom than any other room for some reason. Other than that, I love my house and it's holding up well. Clayton Homes is a very good company and I’d recommend them to anybody who is looking for a home.

In 2016 we applied for a loan through Clayton Homes with many of their lenders that they use for a modular style home. It was in Marion Ohio. Our contact person was Lori. We had bank statements with proof of a 20k deposit and 3 acres, possibly 5 if needed, of free and clear land. Our credit score was low but they assured us that it would make sense to pay a $500 payment to Clayton Homes as a sign of good faith on our part. So we did and received our receipt of said $500 payment. In the end we were told no creditors would lend to us. Probably due to our credit score. We accepted that. And we decided to work on our score. We asked for our $500 back and were told by Lori to let them hold it and if we decided in the future to go back and try again it would be there. At this time we told her it could take a year or two. She said not a problem. The money would always be there and held in account for us.

Forward till now and this year I was diagnosed with cancer at age 43. We decided we needed to go another route and buy a home that has recently become available on the same street as our family land and property. It is pertinent to get our affairs in order before something should happen to me. So we got our receipt from Clayton Homes out of the safe and decided it was time to get our money back. I contacted the Marion Ohio office by phone 3 times and spoke with John. John assured me he would have someone get back with us by phone. 2 weeks passed and nobody contacted us. So I went into the office and was sent to an office where Laurie came in. She assured me that FedEx delivers on Fridays from the main office and our check would be there on Fri Aug 3rd 2018. I explained we would be out of town and I would be in on Monday Aug 6th to pick it up. She said, "Great."

I went into the office that Monday and was advised to talk to Sean the General Manager. It was the most uncomfortable and demeaning conversation I could ever had imagined. He stated basically how dare we try to get our $500 back after all this time had passed and that that account that those funds are held in may not even exist anymore. He said his sale associate should never have told us it would be there this long. But then I got the next promise. That it would be returned the next Friday, once again when their FedEx shipments come in. So I waited again. I was to call him that Fri morning and arrange to pick up our check. I was assured this was his priority. I called and once again got the run around and was told to call back in 20 minutes. I did and was now given to someone named Janet to whom I was told I should now deal with.

Janet assured me she would be contacting me Monday morning Aug 13th, which is today, and I have yet to receive any such phone call. We want OUR money asap. It is ours. It does not matter why we want it or how your system works. It is OUR MONEY. Period. It has been a month or more of this and my husband and I have had enough. I have the original receipt. My husband was on speaker phone all times I went into Clayton Homes and tried to resolve this and he heard and participated in all conversations had pertaining to this. Our next step is to call 6 on your Side out of Columbus and also channel 10 news for a story if this is not resolved ASAP. This is a horrible way to conduct business and Clayton Homes of Marion should be ashamed of themselves. We are demanding some answers.

We were looking around for manufactured homes and once I did my research, I thought that Clayton is built to last. Normally, they would have land and pre-bought ready-to-set-up homes. We, however, did something a little different. What I was doing was taking out a trailer we were living in and putting this one on a separate part of the land but running the same well and electricity to it. Clayton Homes was able to do it all without a hitch.

The only issue that we had was with the contractor having complete disregard for the sprinkler system I had in here and destroying it. I called Clayton about it and they sent out a guy to come to look at it. My uncle, who is a landscaper, was helping me and the guy who came told me that once my uncle gets done, they will give me money for it. They gave me 750 bucks for the work my uncle and I did. Clayton did not have to do that since it was on the contractors, but that was cool of them to do that. They made things right. I have already recommended Clayton to a few people. I’d definitely do it again.

And from what Clayton told me, it sounded like they knew what they were talking about, and I followed with it. They've been slow, but they have taken care of things for us. And I understand that most of them were due to all the rain and the mud. It took me two months to get in the house. And then I get charged for a mortgage payment when I wasn't not in it which disturbed me, but they took care of it. There were little bump and bruises that I've noticed afterwards too. But other than that, everything went pretty fast. The quality of my house is good and I like it. Clayton has done a pretty good job.

The Clayton sales rep really worked well with us and our kids. We had a good rapport with him. We spent three years trying to find the home we got. I designed everything. We took a couple of different models and we built it. We changed a lot on it and he was able to just go through everything and got everything done like we wanted it.

The build is good but we got some tiny issues with the the interior. I'm an electrician and I see homes all the time. The cabinetry is not perfect, like a custom-home would be. The finishing crew was not as diligent as they should have been. I got a huge file of pictures that they got to fix. The guy who comes out and fixes everything does pretty good, but there's something that he lacks on. My biggest thing is the people who comes out to fix certain things lack on experience and certain traits. Other than that Clayton was good. I've given their name to at least six different people and I know three of them have bought homes from them too.

I like that the house is square. Most people don’t know it’s a modular because it’s square. The illusion is there’s a bowling alley type one. I also really like the crown molding, the recessed ceiling and the cornices. I’m really happy with the house and in fact, I’m getting another one. A lot of my neighbors had walked through this one and now wants to get one also. My elderly neighbor is looking to rent her house and move into a smaller one so Clayton Homes is gonna work for her. We have large lots and we have the ability to put a second home so she'll even be able to stay on her same property. The actual install had been a little problematic though. It was a little hard to find the contractor to set it up. But we had all those fires and we lost 5,500 homes here so that sure played into it. But the Clayton Homes part of the experience went great. Randy was great to work with and I even sent her another client recently.

When I had a question or concern, they reached back out within a day. When I walked in at Clayton Homes, I told them I was just looking and they let me. We had been to several other mobile home places and I couldn't go out to look at a home unless I fill out my name, address, including all the financial stuff, even if I told them that I'm paying cash. Miguel, the salesman there was a big asset and the man that came out, McGrady was also super. Miguel asked me what I was looking for and lead me outside to see. We looked at two houses and he showed me his personal favorite. He said that it was above what I wanted to spend but it's a nice house. I fell in love with it and the next week, we made a deal and I ended up buying a home.

A lot of their process was streamlined because it was a cash deal but we still signed 14 million papers in triplicate. A lot of it had nothing to do with it since it was a cash sale, so it would be great if they could streamline that further. Other than that, my satisfaction with the home buying process was great and I like that our home is very reasonable for a place to have the lights, probably days, on all the time and I just cannot get over how energy-efficient it is. Clayton Homes is the way to go. I highly recommend and they are number one in my book.

The location in Santa Rosa was very convenient and Clayton's reputation was very good. The sales reps were excellent to work with and the various personnel that I’ve contacted during my time working with Clayton have been very friendly, knowledgeable, experienced and helpful. I had a very long process because of the permitting process in Coastal California and it took a long time, but they were patient and they worked with me.

The process was multi-phased because I had to get a coastal permit, then a building permit and both of those were a long process and have been going on for over a year but not due to any faults or problems with Clayton. The purchase was finalized in December of last year and the house was brought to the site a couple of weeks ago. It still hasn’t gone onto the foundation and I still haven’t walked in the door, but we're gonna do a walk-through with one of the reps from Clayton at Santa Rosa later this month. Our shower was cracking and I sent Judy an email which bathroom it was and what was wrong with it and then I took several pictures of the crack that was on the base of the shower. I also mentioned to her that the slider was coming off in one of the drawers in the kitchen. It was kind of broken and I was able to glue it into place for a temporary fix and she said that she wanted a picture of it and I told her okay. At that point in time, the tech was already coming out so I asked her if we could have their techs look at it. She said she would have the tech look at the drawers but she didn’t. It was a Saturday and I emailed her saying that I talked to her several weeks ago about the shower base and I was calling to see what was going on since it had been a while.

On Monday at four in the morning, she emailed me back saying she was confused. She said she thought she had talked to me about the service that was coming out tomorrow with the shower and I knew where this was going. It was the second time she forgot about me in the past three months. Three months ago, we ordered some blinds and I told her the blueprint, what room it was and the blinds with their own size. Four weeks later, we were coming to the branch in the area and Judy called me back and was apologizing. She said she totally forgot about me and that she was getting the blinds right away. A week later, the blinds came but they were the wrong size. Ben said that they were gonna ship the blinds straight to the home. They sent me the larger and the smaller size which was fine so I have an extra and I installed it. Nobody was upset.

Now, she was trying to cover her ** by saying she talked to me over the weekend. My wife and I had no missed calls from her. I tried to explain to her that she didn’t talk to me but tomorrow would be just fine for the technician to come out. Every other time the technicians come out, she gave me a window when they would be coming out and they didn’t this time. So I left and they showed up at eight o'clock. It was not a big deal except that my wife was not prepared for it. She was still sleeping. When she answered the door, it was Ben. He was our service technician and I like him. He brought his partner with him as it was gonna be a two-man job.

My wife showed Ben what was going since he didn’t know which bathroom it was. He also knew nothing about the cracks. He replaced the side panels along with the base. Then, that afternoon, I got a voicemail from Judy and it was the first time that she was really bitter about doing the service for me. She said that my wife had no idea that the techs were coming and when they talked to her about the drawers, she had no idea about that as well and that the techs were sitting outside for that. I gave Judy that information to relay that to the techs. She even reassured me that the techs would look at the drawer so I wasn’t worried about it. She said the techs neglected the information on the ticket so she was passing the buck. I forwarded the emails to her showing her what she said and I copied my salesman, Kurt. When I talked to Kurt, he said that there have been several people who were having problems with Judy.

She left a message and I went home and checked the install of the shower. One thing I noticed was the service technicians did the base correctly but they put the shower panels upside down. I could not put my soap on the wall because it was a rounded edge so it just falls right off. I called her and left her messages asking her to call me but it wasn't happening. She was either off to lunch or busy. She was not returning my phone calls or emails at this point. Also, I need a little bit of drywall work and the siding piece needs to be done plus I still haven't gotten the drawer Judy said she ordered directly from the factory. For the past two weeks and a half, I just couldn't get her to call me back. The last comment I got from her was that I was far out so she would gonna try and come up with a time so we could do all of it at once which I understand but I'm getting pushed out at the end of the month and it wouldn't be a big deal if she would communicate.

Another thing was that I had the wrong air conditioner unit put in my home which I found out when it stopped working. They put the correct one on and it's working good now. However, what was weird was when I was talking to Judy about the unit, she was saying that they had been having trouble with VLP's customer service. It seemed like everybody else wanted to pass the buck. A simple, "Sorry, we're gonna take care of it," would have made me feel that much better. As for the quality, the siding could be a little bit sturdier. The toilet seats were standard and they broke easily. There were also little problems like the crack in the shower and the dings with the drawers and these are things that you run into as a homeowner.

During the hurricane season, many mobile homes were damaged in the hurricane areas and we weren’t gonna be able to get any from anyone else except three or four months down the road or more. And even at Clayton, they told us we possibly couldn’t get one. But then, they had one come in just a day or two before that and that’s the one we got. Clayton Homes is located fairly close to where we were living. We were shopping and saw ‘em and we stopped in. The home buying process was fine. They did well and were quite knowledgeable.

The only thing that could’ve been improved was to use a different loan company. The one that we were gonna go through had a bunch of red tape and regulations that I wasn't aware of when we started. So, we wound up not going through financing. The quality of the house is fine. We changed all the light fixtures and the colors of some of the walls of the house. We did some work on it ourselves.

I made the mistake of purchasing a Clayton and ignoring everyone I talked to. I now see they were 100% right. The half ** craftsmanship and lack of attention to the details on the order sheet are incredible. They put the gas line in the wrong place in my utility room and my plumber had to run an extension. They clearly ignored the order sheet, plus they installed the shelf over the washer and dryer area which I had to remove to install my stacked unit. The lino floor is bubbled up in every room and they wanted to do lino tracks instead of doing the job right. Further, the light fixtures in the dining room are off center so I can't install the ceiling fan I planned to because the wire and brass are too close the wall. What the Hell!

I have had the home for six months and I am still finding issues all the time. One of the ducts in the ceiling had tape start flapping around so I had to remove the vent and cut the tape. They did half ** grouting in the bathrooms and kitchen and pain drips are all over the place. I personally hate my home and experience and want to get rid of this mistake and have it removed from my land. Clayton has done little to correct the issues aside from buying out my lino problem. They have yet to send all the materials to the reseller for the issues to be corrected. I would never recommend Clayton to anyone. They suck!!!

We're very satisfied with Clayton Homes. Nancy was our representative and she was very helpful. We were out of town trying to buy from the Florence Store and she was very helpful about setting up things so that it would be at our convenience. It was very easy to stay in contact with her. My husband would text or call and when she couldn't talk to us, she would call us right back. We'd done this numerous times since we bought the home because we had a couple of things that had to be done. We had trouble with the brick fellow. We had to call her back and forth and send pictures and she's always quick to get back to us.

As a housewife, the quality of the build of our new home is above normal. I lived in a mobile home when we were first married in 1970 and I can see the difference in the quality as the years have gone by but we're very satisfied with it. We have already gotten two couples to come and look at the house. We were telling them how wonderful it is.

I'm very satisfied with the home buying process with Clayton Homes. It's easier than buying a car. We knew exactly the house we already wanted and the manager, Scott, was incredible. He made the process easy so the paperwork and the closing were easy. He ended up selling us a demo model at the end of the year which was great 'cause it saved us some money. Clayton has also been great on service for the things that were broken and needed to repaired. The office has called me continuously and an office assistant of some sort was making sure everything's okay. She lets me know if there is any delay in getting parts and that they'll be out. Mark is the maintenance guy scheduled to come out. So, my interactions with the representatives are excellent and I would recommend them, specifically Winston-Salem Clayton.

Jerry and Tom, the people from Clayton Homes, were very knowledgeable. I live close to Norris which is Clayton’s too but we’d seen Elizabethton on Facebook. Tom and Jerry made videos of them being crazy on Facebook and I told my wife that Elizabethton was where I wanted to go to and we headed there. They told us everything about the house then they left us alone and let us talk about it with each other. They didn’t pressure us into buying it. They gave us the option to make the choice we wanted. When we told them what we wanted, they went with it and didn't pressure us into something different.

Since getting the Clayton home we chose, I've loved it. It's a beautiful and big house with plenty of room. The only downfall is that when they built it, the trim guys did a crappy job and they didn't putty. When we moved in my son’s bedroom closet door, I could grab a hold of the whole door facing and pull it out. The quality of the home as far as how it’s put together is good but they took a lot of shortcuts they shouldn’t have just to get it done.

Also, the block guy messed up the underpinning and it’s wavy. There are big cracks between the blocks and my house. I’d like to get it fixed. For the service side of it after the home was set up, if I text Jerry, he would always respond back to me but as far as getting things fixed, it has been awful. I’ve lived in it for eight months now and they got nothing fixed except for very few little odds and ends. The last time they came, they were here for maybe an hour. It's gotten to the point that I’m either gonna have to go to corporate or a lawyer about it.

Clayton Homes has been around the area for a good long time. When I was with my parents, they selected their home years ago and we got a house from Clayton Homes. Also, my cousin was a salesperson at the Clayton Homes in Christiansburg and I told him that my wife and I were looking for a house. Then, we got a house from them and I really like it because it doesn’t look like a traditional 28-foot double-wide. I like that the seam in the middle is kind of covered up. I also like the drop ceiling with the drywall work and the sheetrock work and especially the molding around my dining room and in the kitchen. Most traditional double-wide houses have the raised ceilings in the frame of the house. And also, we chose not to have a dormer and that made it look like a more traditional house, a built house rather than a mobile home and that’s what I love most about our house.

Clayton’s people responded to my questions within a good time. About a month after we moved in, we had trouble with the sewer back-up in the in-home. It was that we had the stuff backed up, so we were still having the same problems after the sub-contractors came. We didn’t know what was going on, so Clayton Homes said that they would send their plumbers out here and see what was going on with our lines. We found out that the contractor had put an underpinning nail through our sewer line.

Clayton Homes corrected everything and we got reimbursed for the septic tank pump. I also got my money back from the couple calls and a couple of things that came out of pocket to try to temporarily fix the problem myself. They really helped and made everything right to figure out that incident. I’m very satisfied with Clayton Homes.

I talked to two people here in Denham Springs but one of them pulled up a shady stunt on us, and so we looked to see what our other options were. My daughter then found another option online, Clayton Homes. We went down there and their rep, Gregory, was wonderful. I'd recommend anybody to work with him. He was very good about following up and making sure we were informed of what was going on. The service department has also been excellent. We’ve had a couple of little issues come up wherein we called and they sent somebody right away to take care of them. Thus far, we’ve had a really positive experience.

We bought a 2015 model trailer home that was one of the demo units. When we walked in and saw the kitchen, my wife loved it and we were sold. The unit worked out very well for us because we were on a short time and we did not really want to wait eight weeks to have one custom built for us. So far, the unit's quality appears to be very good. Clayton did the build very, very well. The newer ones have drywall and stuff on it and that's what we'll ultimately do.

The initial sales experience in June 2017 was promising, but seven months later everything changed when the modular home was delivered to Clayton's lot in Fredericksburg, VA. As there is no Project Manager, I'd already obtained the necessary septic/well permits and architectural drawings by Fall 2017; also the loan to cover home + installation. I obtained the Building Permit from the county in February 2018. I paid for all permits out-of-pocket as it seemed the only way to advance anything; though all costs were originally supposed to be rolled into the loan.

From January to now - 8-1-18 - nothing has happened, not even pre-install site work. The reason given by the G.M. is that the weather's been too bad and their equipment will get stuck in the (non-existent) mud on our property. I wonder what other builders know that Clayton does not? I see plenty of home construction going on all around, even during the Summer in VA. The real problem is that our sales agreement - updated with higher prices each time - has no start/end/installation dates; or subcontractors listed to perform work. So it's open-ended, making it a bad contract; and against DPOR codes, too. Negotiations with the G.M. have fallen flat, with his declaration that he "will not put anything in writing" regarding installation times/dates. He also stated in an email that he sees nothing wrong with this wait time, even though our Building Permit expires later this month.

It's hard to believe that in six months, NO work could be performed, even on dry days/weeks. The G.M. has also referenced there are building permits in front of mine, but will not tell me where I am in the queue. I think that statement reveals they've oversold themselves and don't have the construction crews to keep up. Nor can they seem to hire anyone new to help with backlog, oddly enough. Vanderbilt Homes, their parent company, stated that unless I have a home loan with them (already) they can't help me. The other closest Clayton Homes in Harrisonburg, VA said they won't help because there is no profit for them in installing our house. I am not much of a priority for *any* of them, apparently.

I've resorted to trying to find my own G.C. to pick up where they've left off, but matters are uncertain. As the current written sales agreement still quotes their line-item costs for installation, that should mean legally, they *must* perform the work. But if they won't provide a timeline and I can't get another G.C. to do the work, this past year's efforts will be wasted. And, being disabled, this ordeal has really taken a toll on my health. Plus, I have no 1-level house, which I need badly! Then there's a clause in the sales agreement which threatens fines if we "abandon" the house. Clearly that is not what's happened so far, but I feel their (non) actions are pushing us towards that scenario. I find it really difficult to understand why Clayton Homes would put me through this. Don't they want to sell me a house and make honest money?

I'm in the landlord business and I was looking for a modular home that would be a spec home for us to get tenants in. I went with Oakwood at first but it took too long to close the deal with them and I felt like they were gouging me in the end. I knew that Clayton Homes was affiliated with them and that they have similar kinds of home so I decided to go with Clayton instead. There are not many companies that you can get an inexpensive modular home from like that. The consultant was a nice guy and he was super knowledgeable. He was very thorough and he was good to work with.

However, Clayton promised me that what happened with Oakwood was not gonna happen with them, that this thing would be taken care of and that it would be included in the price. But, when I received the home and the property, that did not happen. It was worked out, but not to my satisfaction. One specific thing didn’t get done and I ended up having to foot the bill for it which ended up being $1,000. The gentleman wrote me a check for $200, which was a bit of a smack in the face as the only reason I signed off with Clayton was because I had the assurance that what happened at Oakwood was not gonna happen there. On the other hand, the home was what I expected it to be and overall, my experience with Clayton was very good. Everything was fantastic.

We purchased our home in April of 2017. We were not able to actually move in until the end of October 2017. When the house arrived at the lot of the dealership in Gonzales Louisiana we did the first walk thru. It was raining that day and we found there was a leak in the master bathroom coming from the light on the ceiling. They assured us it would be fixed before they delivered it to our land. It was not. Since then they have "fixed" the leak 3 times. It started leaking again July 20th. They sent someone Monday July 23rd to look at the leak and repair it. Again. When I called the service manager Tuesday to ask why the person they sent to do the repair did not take the light fixture down to check for water damage like he told me he was going to and the manager gave me attitude about me or my fiance not being there. My mother and father were both there.

I was not able to take off of work last minute. His response was, "Well you must not care about your house if you can't even be there." Then I asked him if the roof was actually fixed this time because this is the 4th time they have apparently fixed this leak and he answered "sure." So when I asked what will happen if it leaks again what will they do he answered just send someone to fix it again. So yesterday night as soon as it started to rain again the same light on the ceiling started to drop water everywhere again. Why they can't actually fix this problem can't be answered by the maintenance manager or his tech that keeps coming out. If it was fixed the first time there would be no issues. And the maintenance manager should not be in management because he apparently does not know how to treat customers or fix problems.

This is my 3rd new house we've ever had built. Our 1st was Patriot 16 + years ago. Great home. No issues. Then we did a traditional stick built things. Stayed on track. This 2018 experience with our Clayton home being built has been a headache from the time we signed the papers. I would advice anyone I know to not buy a Clayton home. It started with the backlog of waiting several months to get our home built. Fine. We agreed to it. It is what it is. Then it came time for our home to be built. We were bumped out well over another month. My house finally arrives. They didn't install the furnace ducts under half the the home. Sent the wrong shingles. No sheeting, almost none of my windows would open so they had to be pulled out & fixed walls for closet & pantry were not square so the dealer had to fix all of this so this added even more time before I could get in my home.

Then at closing there was stuff like staining in my carpet counters that need to be fixed etc. Doors scratched. You name it. So we wait to get this stuff fixed. They send a contractor who made my house look worse than it did before & tore up my yard with his vehicle. I cried every night over the horrible job & destruction their contractor was doing to my home. Till I finally called corporate. They did send a great contractor to start fixing the mishaps. But now I'm arguing with them over my floors & flooring as well. What was suppose to be a new home & turn key ready experience has been a time consuming headache. My advice to anyone is don't do it. Save yourself the tears, time, stress & headache. Because like I said I thought I was buying a turn key ready new home. Not a work in progress time consuming headache. *WORST EXPERIENCE IN HOUSE BUYING IN MY LIFE *

And it was a hair longer than we thought, but overall, it met our expectations. I was satisfied with our consultant. And the quality of our home is very good. The only issues that we had after it was delivered were things that had happened in transport, and they came right out and fixed it.

We went out and looked at Clayton Homes but didn't look closely enough. So, we have a lot of concerns with our mobile home and I'd like to talk to someone from Clayton Homes face to face 'cause I've got a lot of pictures and things I want them to see. Things keep on falling apart one after another, such as the molding. Also, the glass over the oven is still broken. After things started happening, we started noticing all the nail holes.

Still, every time we complained, Clayton has come out and done the best that they can. But then, when they come back and fix something, if they scrape it, they cover the scratch with a Magic Marker. We also came to find out that this had happened before and that other things had already been colored with Magic Markers. Furthermore, the material is awful. The technician is at the home every month and I would try to go there once a month. But then, every time I come, there is something that is loosed. These are simple things that I had them come back for and fix and they would be loose again.

Additionally, the tile was coming all up in the kitchen, so they put molding down. However, when they put down the molding, I saw every nail hole they put in it. It's not what I thought for someone to finally get a home. I thought it'll last the users their lifetime but it has not been holding well. Also, the water tank overflowed, and now we have rings all on the carpet. Clayton's technicians also put some holes in the wall and all of those have been left behind. Furthermore, the technicians have changed every fire alarm here. Some of the sockets came out, and they put them back, but when they did, if the socket hits the wall a little bit, it trips the alarm.

I don't know what else to ask Clayton's technicians. They come and fix problems, glue or nail it but then they're leaving more damage. When their guy told me about the rings left by the water being everywhere, it came all the way down from where the water tank is to the bedroom and the living room. The marks are as high as seven inches and they're still there. Also, it seemed like the floor is getting salt in the room where the water tank was. Then to take that paneling out, they scraped the wall. The light switch is right there. They also have a place where I take the green-colored wall loose but then the nails are brown. Their guy told me where I could go to Lowe's and get stuff for that.

The technician from Clayton told us that the mobile home does a lot of shaking in the molding. This problem has been going on since we had it. We started taking pictures in January, and some things Clayton fixed. But right now, the spare bathroom that nobody really goes in except when I'm here, a piece of wood that they fixed is coming back loose. It also happened in the other bathroom, but we didn’t have to call them back 'cause the same thing is on that wall, and I could just take the tub and push it in with my foot. Also, the toilet seat broke and we fixed it ourselves. I"m really disappointed with this mobile home.

I did a couple of other options before Clayton Homes but they were the most knowledgeable for their brand. I popped into their office and the staff was awesome. He was very knowledgeable about the product and the building process. He knew all the different timings. He was very patient and was able to review everything with me. I had a lot of questions and he was able to answer them all. A lot of that information was what I really needed upfront so I could figure out a budget.

I got a smaller home but I wanted to have certain things, like more windows so I can have a better view of the mountains. I also removed a couple of walls and I made the living room a bedroom, and they were able to do all of that. The home is very efficient. Everything is exactly like it was when I moved in. Everything is holding up nicely and works well. I love coming home.

I bought a 2014 single wide mobile home from Clayton Homes. It was a single wide. I had to sell the home 3 years later because: Strong odor of chemicals in the home to the point where it burned people's eyes, and the smell stuck to our clothes and reeked. I moved and had to sell all my furniture and most of my stuff that had that smell. I think it was glue, and formaldehyde. The company was called to my home 10 times to fix roof leaks, window leaks, defective ceiling, wall and flooring problems.

After 3 years a new roof was required. There is only a one year warranty on the roof by the way!!! I lost so much money on buying this home and am heartbroken. The customer service people were rude and nasty to me. Please beware and avoid this company unless you want to go through what I did. Clayton homes are VERY LOW QUALITY. This company is a joke. I have many emails saved from them, and tons of pictures from all the defective workmanship and problems.

I moved to a little town outside of Belmont, Texas which is about 40 miles from State Line, Louisiana. I found a piece of land here with two trailers on it but I had to move what the contractor put in. Then, I went down to the Clayton Homes here to buy a new one and I looked at all the stuff there. I thought that the homes were okay and that I'd just put a cover on the trailer because it’s gonna be so hot. The guy I spoke with was alright, but he didn’t answer my questions. I go to Lockton, Texas quite a bit and I remembered all the different homes there and Clayton was one of them. So, I pulled in and found a guy named Brent. He answered all my questions and if I had more, he called back with people.

I was concerned about the formaldehyde that would still be in the trailer when I signed the paper with Clayton and but I knew that I could free it up and shear it, and it’d go away. So, I went ahead and bought the trailer from them. I got it at a cheaper price, too. Then, they drove the trailer down and that was the amazing thing. With all the dirt and in getting the trailer in, the driver was good at positioning, straightening it up, and putting it next to the blocks where my gun safe is.

Then, a good man named Jerry, came down and finished the final touches on my trailer. But I still have a type of smell in there, though it’s not a bad smell. I’ve tried to run the heater a lot in winter to get that out and I bought two pretty little bags on Amazon that have charcoal filters which are supposed to help out a bit. But I’m gonna call Jerry and ask him if he has a little trick of the trade up his sleeves that would help that problem. Other than that, I am very content with Clayton Homes. One time, they had a different lady in there and it took a little while for them to send me a faucet. But their guy said that he was gonna order me another one and I’m a little handyman so I told him not to come back down and just send it to me. It’s a long way from Lockton here.

In the wintertime, my trailer was cozy and I was surprised with the insulation that was put in it. It’s directly in the sun and the back doesn’t get hit much by the sun. I also like the idea that there’s a ridge on top of the roof that lets the hot air out. It’s the best design. And during the night, I taper the AC down to 75 and sleep like a little kid. I can’t wait for next winter to come up as the trailer keeps its warmth in and I haven’t had a high bill. I love it. It's summertime now and although the air conditioner is making some noise, I’m getting used to it.

So far, the appliances in my trailer are holding up and doing what they’re supposed to do. And when they go out, I’ll put a better grade in. The insurance that I got from the company that Clayton recommended is reasonable as well. It even includes flood and earthquake insurance. I also got my deck built and I have car ports in front which are my kinda design. They are reasonable and convenient. I’m gonna build a front porch as well to get tall the groceries in because it is a stroll to get 12 cases of canned Cokes in the upstairs. But it’ll be quiet and clean by then. All in all, my trailer's very easy to maintain.

Clayton Homes was the only one willing to listen to our needs financially and tried to the best of their ability to meet those needs. There was a couple of people there though that I wasn’t too fond of. They acted like “business is business”, but everywhere has this type of people. Then there's our primary consultant, Robert, who I called for everything because he was the one who seemed like he sincerely cared about the issues. He was always on top of everything at any time. To this day, I still call him when I have issues and he’s always there to put a hand out and support us on whatever we need. I’m waiting on him to call me back to have the septic tank filled and I'm sure that within the next week, he’ll get that knocked out.

We were also able to knock a room out and make that room a pantry and on to a basement, which a lot of places wouldn’t allow us to do, so that was a big thing. We got to move a room over. Our home was highly customizable and it ended up being just what we were looking for. Also, the most beneficial part of Clayton was the timeliness. There was only a couple of setbacks and that was all due to weather, which no one could control.

However, they did not hook up the crossover completely when they put the home together. It was winter time and very cold when we first got the home, so we had to have a heating and air person come out a couple of times because we were freezing to death. Also, they have a section in the master bath where the commode is and there's a door there. They need to put an air vent in there because it stays very hot. There's even no ventilation in the closets.

The other day, we had to have a guy come out to fix the shower in our master bathroom. He had to put on grout. The shower belonged to Baymont Company so he said that he could work on it. We also had a problem in the guest bathroom but that tub is a Polaris which he couldn't work on. But we had to constantly call and ask them when they were gonna be doing the repairs.

If we had questions or concerns, we'd talk to the home consultant and she'd tell us she would take care of it. She would try to get the people out here to do what they were supposed to do, but it didn’t always work out like that. Sometimes, these people would tell us one thing but they didn't show up, or when they showed up they would only do part of the work and leave. They were supposed to pick up some rocks or cement that they had left and these are still here. My husband said he'd pick them up himself and figure out what to do with them. Although there was nothing major with the issues we were having, we just got tired of calling them to come back to fix these issues.

I’m blind in one eye and I have vision problems in the other, so before, I would always sit at the kitchen table with the window curtain open to make out my bills. But I fixed the other bedroom and I could go in there.

I had a house fire last summer and had to decide if I was gonna rebuild or what I wanted to do. Clayton Homes was not too far from me in Dixon, so I went to that location first and ended up going to the Cookville one because they could work with my timeframe better. My experience in buying the home was great. The overall application process was easy and the rep that assisted me at the Dixon location, Chris, was great. He worked with me a lot because I was going back and forth on what I wanted to do. Then I worked with Matt and Chris at the Cookeville location and they were beyond amazing. But I had a very challenging driveway, so we had that to deal with along with specific measurements I needed for my house from where that house was gonna go back in.

Then I ended up having to hire an outside delivery guy who contracts through a couple of different agencies because I needed a specific timeframe and Clayton in Cookeville told me that because of their machinery, I would have to remove part of my concrete driveway, which I wasn’t willing to do. It would also cost a lot more. And in Dixon, they couldn’t get it until December. But I really needed to move in and get everything taken care of sooner. So, I had a horrible experience with the guy who delivered and set that up. But Clayton in Cookeville went above and beyond coming out and helping fix things that they screwed up.

I purchased a Clayton Home in Feb 2018, mind you I started the process in October of 2017 and although they promised it to be completed in 6 weeks it was more like 5 months. Every thing start to finish was an issue or challenge. I was paying cash, so no financing involved so you would think it would be less complicated. Well the sales manager promised all gas, but halfway through the build we find out that a gas furnace is not possible with this floor plan. This was the biggest issue, and along with everything else made the process horrible. My salesperson told me how awful this manger was and he was being fired. She even called me to tell me when it happened.

Well, we go with the process. I go in to bring my permits, I already owned the land and I see this “fired” manager still working there although he was demoted. So my salesperson is lying to me. She is now avoiding my calls. Well, I move in and discover the hot water heater is not gas as requested. When we found out the furnace couldn’t be gas I was assured at all levels I could still have a gas water heater over and over. This new sales manger says, "Oh we are sorry you can’t. That’s it, sorry." Like no big deal.

I also discovered the bathtub was different. Apparently they discontinued the one I had before my home was completed. Had I known this at the start I would’ve picked a different floor plan. I wanted all gas and I wanted that bath! So the sales manager and salesperson I had at the start have ruined my entire experience. Honestly bad employees happen, Clayton could’ve made it right but didn’t. Nothing, offered nothing!!! Then add insult to injury, the repairs I needed for after moving made things worse. It seems Clayton makes it a business practice to discontinue tubs before homes are completed. For example, the grout in my master bath needed repairs but they discontinued that color so they matched it as close as they could, it looks terrible!!! Add that to the different bathtub and I hate my master bath and that was the whole reason I picked this model. I now I hate my home, thanks Clayton.

I looked at several trailers and Clayton Homes had the nicest ones at good prices. I was a first-time homebuyer and it was a really good experience with them including the delivery of the house. They coached me and got me through it all. Patty was willing to help me any time I needed help. Any time I called her, she picked up the phone. It didn’t matter what day of the week or what time. I recommend Clayton to people all the time and tell them how they now start making the trailers better, with the style of plywood floors and getting the extra stuff.

I owned a Clayton home in my previous marriage. It was a solid home which led me back to purchase another one. I was needing to trade in the trailer house that I owned and the other company didn't have that option. Clayton's saleslady, Roxana was wonderful. She was the primary reason that we couldn't walk away at any point. I liked her availability, friendliness and sincerity. I bought the standard Clayton Home model and I liked it. So far, it's been really solid and I was overly impressed with the willingness and the policy of Clayton Homes to repair or get something fixed in the first year. They've been out three times already since I got it in November and repaired everything that I needed to get repaired.

I certainly wouldn't have been able to get into this quality of a home if it was not for Oklahoma City Clayton Homes that I ended up buying this home through. They bent over backwards in helping me to be able to afford it, to get into the home at this point in my life. And that was a special experience. Overall, Clayton Homes has a solid buying experience and competitive price, and it's the way to go.

I wanted to buy a brand new mobile home because I was expecting for it to last longer than a used one so I bought one from Clayton Homes. Recently we had hail in that area and it was not even that big but it made holes on the outside walls. So the quality of the mobile home for my price is just not good enough. It breaks easy. It hasn’t even been years since I bought it. It's a very expensive house but it's worse than the old one.

Their rep just told me that I have to deal with the insurance. But the insurance they put on the mobile home don’t cover it. They only gave me, after that deductible, $500, and that's not even to start buying the materials. I'm mad because the insurance said that's all they could do. Their home buying process and their customer service are good. But they shouldn't have been selling something like that. I'm not happy with what I bought.

So I went on and talked to one of their people that sell the houses, and I didn’t have a good experience with the lady that was helping me. I came home and searched the internet, and it gave me a list of Clayton Homes. Cullman was almost 2 hours and 15 minutes, and I drove there and the experience was very appreciative. They welcomed me and every time I came or called, they were very patient with me. Virginia was real good and I really enjoyed the customer service that they gave. Initially, we were going down to Missouri to look at a repo. There, we didn't have to do a whole bunch of concrete and other stuff that we needed to do if we bought a new home. However, Clayton wouldn't take credit card deposit over the phone to hold the house and that screwed us up a little bit. We got down to Missouri and within about 30 minutes of being at the location, Clayton called up and said that somebody had just bought the home we were going to look at.

So, purchasing our home ended up costing us more money because we ended up buying new. That was fine, but the fact that we had driven two and a half hours down to find out that what we were going to look out had just been bought irritated my wife. Still, Clayton's reps treated us well when we got down there. They showed us some other homes and gave us a good deal on a new one. It all worked out in the end and I'd certainly recommend them.

Our salesman took really good care of us and would even reply to texts on days off because I wasn’t always aware of his work schedule. But it was a positive experience. We looked at several models on the lot and we ended up doing an off-frame modular. It was a special order, and it was the first house of that style they’d ever done in off-frame modular. We customized it pretty heavily so it took a little longer than expected.

We had to get some secondary vendors to do our siding and we had some porches added to it that we went through Clayton to get. Our salesman was always our contact for those. So, if I was having any issues with the subcontractors where they weren’t showing up on time, he would always get in contact with them and see what their status was. And anything we found that was incorrect, he was very quick to correct or make sure that the right people were put in place to correct any issues that came up. He was always very helpful. We’re very pleased with the home at this point. We’ve been in it since December, and we just had some small warranty issues that we’ve had to take care of. But other than that, it’s been just fine.

The home itself is beautiful but I didn’t like the process at Clayton Homes at all. The first home they brought out sat on the side of a small road for almost a month and we had to literally go around in the grass just to get around to our home. And when they got it out of the road, they tore the home up completely. And then we had a storm down here and water got inside of the home and it was just bad. The ceilings upfront caved in so I called the men that cleaned the home and I explained to them what was going on and he told me, "Well, we could fix this. I can send a guy out that will do some repairs."

I said, "No, this is a brand new home. This thing might have gotten mold in it now, like in the walls and all that. I want you to take the home back and get us a new home." And they did bring us a new home. But I just have problems after problems with Clayton. One half of the floor was higher than the other. I called them to try to get them to level the floor but no one ever showed up.

I filled out everything when I applied at Clayton Homes and then Tommy, the rep, asked me to give him a few minutes. He went and read everything and said that as of that time, it looked good. I got all my information to him and within two weeks, they had me call back and told me I was good to go. Tommy was great from the minute I walked in the door and he started showing me different homes. He stayed with me through the whole thing. He called me the other day and asked me how everything was, if everything was good and if we needed anything. We graduated from a little two-bedroom trailer, one bathtub, two bedrooms, two baths and loving all the room.

It’s been great working with Clayton Homes because they were very open. They told me when we were having problems and they said they would see what they could do. And not even an hour later, he called back and said they got it taken care of. They were on top of everything and communicated everything with me. I've sent two people to Clayton Homes. They asked me where we went to get it and I told them I went to Clayton and that from the minute we walked through the door till we finished everything, they were still calling if we needed everything. Clayton will do anything they can to get you into it, work with you and do everything they can. I'm very satisfied and we love our home.

Anybody from the Lebanon office has been helpful even if I wasn't dealing directly with them. I was doing the whole thing from out of state and Crystal, the associate from Clayton, was communicative throughout the homebuying process.

We live in a very rural area, so we were about 45 minutes south of the Lebanon location but they were on time and came when they were supposed to. They did the skirting and everything within two days so, they were quick about it. I was moving from out of state, so I was on a time crunch as far as having somewhere to live. The delivery was good and they did everything they needed to do. When I bought the property I talked to my banker and then I went online at Clayton Homes. Darion of Clayton Homes in Texarkana emailed me back as soon as I put the process in motion that I was looking for a house. I picked out three houses that I liked and then I sent the process to my banker and he gave me the one that he knew that I could afford with no trouble. I didn’t have anybody joking me around or trying to put me in something that I didn’t want or couldn’t afford. I gave them a price of what I wanted and they worked with me and my bank.

I email questions to Darion and he gets right back with me on it. And then when I signed the paperwork I went in and talked to him and I talked to the manager. They all walked me through everything step by step. I love them over there. Everything that I’ve asked for they’ve done, like repairs or stuff that I noticed after they set the home up, they came right on that and did it with no problem.

Clayton is the first choice I go to. There are a couple of people here at the job that are getting ready to start buying a home and I’ve already recommended Clayton to them. If you'll go there, you’ll be treated fairly and they make sure that you'll get the best buy there is. And when they come and set it out, they’ll set it up exactly the way you want it. They’ll put it the way exactly where you want it to be -- not where they want it to be. I am so pleased with this and I was pleased with the process because it went smoothly.

My girlfriend and I are about to have a newborn and we looked for a new place to move into. Instead of going to rent, I thought to try to find something I can own one day. She mentioned Clayton Homes and they seem to be the only route to take because I have no credit. And they helped me go through the finance company and helped me out there. The overall home buying process was okay. But I’m in a situation now where I’m trying to do something a little different with it. I would like to own the home a lot faster than what it's set up now. I pay out so much and only so much is going towards my principle. I’m trying to establish a little bit more credit so I can go through a bank and refinance it and make the situation a lot lighter on me. And I would do it again if I had to, just to get my situation a little better.

The home consultant was Jeff and he is great. If a person wants to sell a place, he's the one able to get it sold. His personality is most impressive. He’s an outgoing guy and he doesn’t like to beat around the bush. He is straight to the point and truthful about it. Everything that I’m going through now is something he told me to think back, but I’ve never been into the credit field so I didn’t really know the difference between 9% and 2%. But he let me know everything before we closed the deal. He is a fair guy. Plus, the home was already together and I love the quality. It’s very spacious and very comfortable. Clayton is the place to go to and they have awesome people. I will recommend anyone to go to Clayton.

I went with Clayton Homes and I was very satisfied with the home buying process. I bought the house in November and Clayton has been good about the place and with those that cracked. They came out in just a few minutes and replaced the whole window and floor.

The guy I always talked to is Kelly and he was the one who sold me the trailer. I like the way he’s prompt about doing things. And he’s good about doing things and down right getting about anything. He was right out here if I have any complaints which were very few so far. I feel I can talk to him about anything ‘cause at least he’s that kind of guy that makes me feel that way. I can call him if something’s wrong. And that means a lot. I like the quality of the home but I don’t know how the seats gonna work out and if my air-conditioner is gonna keep the home cool or not. I haven’t told Kelly about that yet but I’m sure that if he'll know that, he’ll take care of it. It was a good experience and I’m glad that I went with them.

My mom and dad bought a home years ago. And we got family land and so we decided to move back home and help take care of my dad. We knew to go to Clayton Homes and then we started talking to Kevin. He was a really nice guy and he was genuine and upfront with everything. We got our home plain because we wanted to completely pay it off. We just want to be on the land with no debt and be happy and take care of my dad and that’s what we did. But the quality of the home is very good. And the purchasing process was fast once they got it moving. We were just in talking mode and here we are now, all set up and grass growing back and it looks like we've been here for 10 years. We were satisfied. Every time we needed something, they were right here and called back as soon as possible. We recommend Clayton Homes and we tell people to ask for Kevin because he’s been a good salesman.

I am not satisfied with Clayton Homes at all. When we put it in a site plan it took two years from the time we started till our home got put in. And then Clayton had certain specifications that had to be for the city manager to be happy. And then last week they put another home in two lots over and it was not the same specs that we were told we had to put ours in at, which I’m sure has nothing to do with Clayton. And then the home itself is falling apart. Carpets are peeling up and cabinets are breaking at the seams so I’m not very happy. But our salesman, Bob, was great. My dissatisfaction has to do with the product. Clayton was a nightmare. But they know how I feel already and they told me they were gonna try to make it alright.

Clayton Homes was very friendly. We bought six homes from them. We knew that we wanted to put a trailer park in, and they just made the entire experience stress-free as far as working with them within our means, and their follow-up. They seemed eager to assist us and make sure we got the right house that we wanted. They took us to the plant in Bonham and we got to see a walk-through of how they build their houses so we know the structure, the quality, everything. Their follow-up as far as the installation, the walk-through afterwards, all repairs made—everything they did was first-class. Also, the consultant didn’t pressure us. He worked with us, understood our questions and answered all of them, met all of our expectations and was not pushy in any way whatsoever. Also, I really like their customer service after the sale. He was very professional, personable, and knew what he was talking about. We tried to get a different trailer that was bigger and double wide. Years ago, we had co-signed for our kids to get a house and we didn’t know that they put our name on the loan. So, we couldn’t have a loan on two places but we found other financing and everything went great. Every problem we’ve had has been addressed in a timely manner. They have us just wait and save up problems, so they can come out and take care of it all at once. But we have not had a problem and we just figured what's best with it.

My 2016 Anniversary Edition 16x80 is becoming a huge disappointment in terms of quality. I have lived in mobile homes in the '70's, 80's, 90's and '00 and I have never imagined having paper covered cabinets on sinks that come into contact with water. Although I must admit they were cleverly constructed enough that it took me 2 years to discover this inexcusable flaw in quality. What you see is definitely not what you get. She gave me a good price, told me what I was getting and was straightforward. She didn’t promise me anything that I didn’t get. She’s a very sharp sales person. Clayton Homes ought to give her her own floor. However, I did a cash sale and some of their paperwork are a bit long. They need to restructure some of them. When I bought a house at the time, it seemed like 30 or 40 sheets, “this and that” and “this and that”. But I understand the process. I’m 100% satisfied.

Clayton Homes was the first place we went to and the application process and initial paperwork were all fantastic. While Justin was wonderful with as far as getting us into our home, they could have had speedy up the service a little bit. It took from June to December to get into it. And now that we’re in our home, we're not very satisfied and we have a lot of problems.

First of all, when we went in and we plugged in a lamp and the whole outlet came out. And then, we were sitting in the living room and suddenly something fell. We came to find out that the whole ceiling line had fell out from underneath us. Also, I have told them from the beginning that the floor in my kitchen was weak. A gentleman came out yesterday and tried to get everything fixed and it was very weak to him too. It could cause a problem so he was gonna try to reach out to the factory. But he said that the factory was four months behind getting all the other work done, so I don’t know how long my flooring in my kitchen is gonna be. Still, Clayton has been wonderful about trying to get guys here and getting everything done. I had no problems with a financer too. So, I would recommend them.

Our salesman at Clayton, Eric, was great. He was really upfront with us and described every emotion we would go through. He said there would be moments that we would get angry and that we had to wait on a lot of inspectors. He also let us know that the home buying process could take six months or longer. We were getting anxious to move in. Still, we sat back and took it day-to-day. Eric communicated with us very well about the process of Clayton finding land, getting the land ready and building the home. He took the time to talk to us. We could call him and he would answer our questions.

However, the building could use a little more thought and quality. I saw some things in the building that didn't look right to me. Nevertheless, Eric also told us that when we moved in, we should watch for anything such as leaks under the cabinet. We did have a leak under the kitchen sink and called Clayton at the time. They called, set up a day and time and came out immediately. I also like that Crystal is our go-to-person if we have problems now. I highly recommend Clayton Homes.

My experience with Clayton Homes in buying a home went relatively smooth. Their rep was great and our interaction went good. Since they moved the trailer, I called them about a lot of things that hasn’t been fixed so I really wanna get those stuff done. I talked to the lady from the corporate office and an hour later, they sent the guy over to the house, took care of everything and he headed out. However, somebody put a handrail through the wall and put a hole in my wall on the outside. It was December when I asked Clayton Homes to fix that and they still haven’t come over to do it. I’ve called multiple times to keep telling them they gotta send somebody, but they have not done it.

When they put up the skirting, they didn’t do it properly so the skirting has fallen off. It was only because of a wash out which apparently happens whenever rain hits the ground. It washed away the dirt causing the skirting to fall off. So, if their guys know that this was a problem, why didn’t they put on the skirting in a way that it would make it through where the wash out affect it? And the way the guy said it to me sounds like he was gonna charge me again to come out and redo it. This was the same guy that did the skirting the first time. If he didn’t do it right the first time, why should we pay him to do it right the second time? I wanted the skirting that’s still all messed up to get fixed. I would really like my stuff to get taken care of.

I was super satisfied with the buying process, but when it comes to service after the fact, to me, it feels like they got their money, now they’re done with me. I would recommend Clayton Homes, but I would recommend with a warning. Customers should make sure that they really stay on Clayton about all the things that may go wrong. I would recommend Clayton for the buying process but I wouldn’t recommend them for the service after the fact. Clayton office did a great job. They sent a guy out to take care of something that clearly needed to be taken care of when it came to the manufacturing of the house. But when it comes to stuff that the individual place needs to deal with, I’m not happy with it at all.

There were some problems with the home but they’re adjusting with me. The ones that they could repair, they did. Everything was set up to satisfaction. They even went a little bit overboard ‘cause I’m a disabled veteran and I got bad feet and legs. They fixed the steps to where there were half steps instead of full ones, and that aided me quite a bit. It’s set up nice and everything inside is beautiful. I was retired and on disability so the home-buying process was quite a problem but the finance company bent over backwards and so did Clayton. The guy that sold me the house worked with me and he was great so, I can’t complain about the attitude that went into it. I bought the house for my son, who was also the one I heard it from, and when the house was delivered to the lot, he went and looked at it and they wouldn’t let him cut the plastic to look in the bathroom to make sure that it was what he wanted. The house was set up on the lot, tied down and we finally got to go in it and discovered it wasn’t what we ordered. So, there had to be a lot of changes and modifications, which the lot took care of. I wanted the glamour bath in it with the big tub and the master bath didn’t even have a bathtub in it.

It’s just been one mix-up after the other on this house. My son discovered that on one wall of his living room, the receptacles were oblong and on the other side, they’re square. I only got a few more months for the warranty and I’m gonna call to complain about these receptacles. The chair rail was 48 inches instead of 32 so where you walk in the house, it looks silly. They did that because the sheetrock comes in at 48-inch and then they put another 48-inch on top of that and changed the color out. The manufacturer of the house used a very low-grade quality material on a $115,000 house so, I have a big issue with that.

The manufacturer needs to think that when the person orders a four-bedroom house, that normally means they got a bunch of kids. They only put in a 40-gallon hot water heater and they should have put at least a 60 in it. Also, they didn’t put a closet in one of the bedrooms. Another thing is, they had to take every bit of the vinyl off the back of the house and replace some plywood because it buckled the vinyl on the back of the house. And when they pulled the vinyl off to see why it was doing it, some of the plywood wasn’t even nailed down on one side. That’s a big house, it’s 32 x 76, and they didn’t even nail the plywood down on the sides of the house so that all the vinyl siding on the back had to be taken off and redone. That is the manufacturer’s fault and not the lot’s. There was a lot of little issues that were problems, but the lot has tried to correct them, some of which were beyond their responsibility.

Clayton was a little slow on trying to get some things done to us but I would still recommend them. You just need to make sure that what you ordered is what you ordered. Don’t let them pull it off the lot until you check it out. And if they tell you that you can’t cut the plastic to look, tell them to keep the house. The salesman told my son that, and then when the lot manager got involved in it, he tried to give me a hard time to start with. I told them that if my son had been given the opportunity to cut the plastic and go in that bathroom, that house would’ve never been delivered to my lot. I told them that their attitude should change and after that, it has been great to work with them. My son has been out here a couple of times to check the house out. If I was looking to buy a double-wide for myself, I would go there and buy one. But I would proofread everything on the order sheet before they release the house and it comes to my lot.

We looked at options but Clayton had the best product with good quality. We got an air-conditioned 1,200 sq. ft. home and it has three bedrooms and two baths. The home buying process with Clayton was excellent. Working with Clayton made it easier for us to put up the home. We’re using it for cabin rental, and it was a very fast and efficient way for us to have a cabin rental online quickly. The whole experience was very positive, and I would definitely recommend them to friends.

I was talking to one of my neighbors and we were talking about homes and he said that he was getting one with Clayton Homes. One of my daughters had died and she had left me $230,000 so I can buy a home that I wanted. And now I’m enjoying my house. I’m glad I made the decision to get a manufactured home and I have one built all from scratch. Tim, the manager of Clayton Homes, was nice and friendly as he could be. When I was going through the process of getting to extend on the process, Tim worked really hard for me to get all the paperwork that they needed. They wanted to know all about the home and the structure of it. He emailed them that stuff and before we knew it, everything was lovely. Eric, my sales person was also outstanding.

I feel elated just to know how beautiful the house is. I had it designed just the way I want it, like my bathroom is red and I have the garden tub in it. The outside of the house is white trimmed in red. I love red and white and then everything matched. The carpet and furniture are in cream color. When I saw the door and the Venetian window, I want a door. I don’t wanna a window there. And they placed a double door there and one side that was open. It’s so beautiful.

I got five bedrooms and three baths and my utility room. I had me a special little plate put in there. I just feel so comfortable in it. It took six weeks to get my home. It shocked me because I had paid cash for it. They said, “Well, we know you want to get in your home, it’s gonna be about four weeks.” I said, “Oh. That’s fine.” But then they called me back. They said it’ll take about two more weeks. I highly recommend Clayton Homes.

We go pass Clayton Homes every day and I was living in a Clayton trailer. We bought a new home and everything in the process was great. The salespeople were great too and Betty did a fantastic job at keeping us all on point. She got to us right away with any changes or anything that came up. Even when we had permit delays because of the county, being as slow as they are, she kept up on us and let us know what was going on. And thanks to the county and the state, we had to flip the whole floor plan. But Clayton did a nice job of that. And we also did a little customization to one of the rooms to be more open to the kitchen instead of closed off. I like our new home and while we had a few issues with some squeaking, they came out last week and fixed it for us. I'd definitely recommend Clayton Homes.

Buying the house from Clayton Homes was excellent. The sales representative was very professional and nice. Whatever she was saying, she tried to make it happen and she did. She knows the home just like she knows it like the bible. She gets paid by selling homes but on top of that, she's a person that is truthful. That goes a long way.

For the home itself, I give them a C-minus on that because when when they first brought the home to me, there were a lot of things that when I stand and look at it, I would have never let them bring it on my lot. I would have made them keep it. I would have stopped them down the street because my bedroom's ceiling is separated from the wall and the floor in that bedroom is terrible. The whole house itself is pretty good until you get to my bedroom. My lot is small and when they got ready to put it on, they took something like a forklift. They stuck it up under the trailer to position it a certain way, and when they picked up on it with the forklift, they removed the floor and pressed on the wall and made the wall go higher than the ceiling. The maintenance people never came out and fixed it yet, but hopefully they will.

Clayton Homes had models of the houses that we liked. We liked the pricing and the availability so we went with them. We were trying to get it done before our wedding so we went with the floor model, but it was to our liking. The quality of our home is good. However, we've had mice. I know they did spray and seal it with the foam, I just don't know if they missed a couple of spots. I think they're coming in through the central air. But that and some of the molding in the house were our only two complaints. Other than that, it's been really good.

The lady who sold us the house was fantastic. She went above and beyond, took care of us and did a lot for us. She was easy to talk to and was always ready if we texted her. My experience was a lot different than what I thought it would've been. However, when they assessed our land, they told us it was X amount and it came back at a lower evaluation at Y amount. They didn't tell us when they're putting the home down, they took some of the things, the features out that we had planned on purchasing. One of them was brick undersiding. They did Masonite instead and they actually took the concrete footings out when they placed that down and we were not aware of that until the house was being placed on the land.

I purchased a home from Clayton Homes in Bowling green, KY. I special ordered my home and when it arrived to the lot it was everything I was hoping for. Bowling Green, KY contracts out Ward Construction to do their home set ups. This company is a nightmare. On the first attempt for delivery they said the house was too large and they would not be able to get the house in. They told us exactly what trees needed to go and how much wider we needed to make the driveway (things they should have told us before move date). They brought our home back to Bowling Green, KY lot and we did exactly what was requested of us the same day they were there. However because of the holiday weekend they refused to wait that was on 5/25/2018.

The next delivery day was on 6/06/2018 they had a very hard time getting it in they called us to say they couldn't do it again. My husband and the owner Bobby ** got into a small argument about us doing everything they said we needed to do. Long story short they got it in and have not been back since (it has only rained one time so weather is not an issue). They have not completed the foundation. The house is not lined up correctly and they even busted the floors. The front door is so twisted that you can not use it. It's jammed closed. The date today 6/18/2018 and still they have not been back. No ones when they will. Apparently they are waiting for the ground to dry which it is already dry very dry.

My home loan is 160,000 and I closed on it 4/24/2018 and I'm sitting here wondering why I didn't just buy a site built. It's a shame they use this Ward Construction Company. They have a 2.1 Google rating and if you read the reviews you not let another company sink your business name. I contract out labor in my company and I would never let my customer be treated this way because I hired Clayton not Wards Construction. Here are just a few pics I took. I need to go take one of the metal frame under the house that is bent.

The trailer that we chose was set up the way we wanted it, so they just had to duplicate it. After we did the final deal, they had the trailer built for us and it didn't take that long. The energy saving process that they got saved us money as far as a couple of bills. They handled us efficiently and answered all of our questions. Whenever we have a problem, we just call them and they send somebody out to take care of us. We like the house that we chose at Clayton better than any other company that we could find. The beginning was a little rocky with the process because whenever we started it, it was in the middle of changing managers. A regional manager that we dealt with, Jerry, dragged us through the mud. Josh then came and took over and from that point on, we've had nothing but a positive experience. We customized some counter tops and flooring and I was definitely happy with the quality. We are still currently waiting for our garage to be built, and Max the assistant manager really stepped up and helped us off in the last few months trying to make sure everything's getting done, like fixing if there's any crack in the house from its settling.

I was in the market for a home and I went to six different places, and Clayton had a model that I liked. They also had a promotional deal and the construction quality seemed the best. I had a messed up purchasing process but it had nothing to do with Clayton. It's because of my loan entity that I got involved. But Clayton did their best to work with them. My purchase took 10 months from the time I gave my deposit until the time that I was able to move in my house. It was a lengthy process.

Anytime I had an issue I just called the guy that I was dealing with directly in his office and he would make things happen for me. However, the contractors that they were using weren’t always the greatest. I had some issues with a few contractors for as far as not showing up and doing some not great work that had to be fixed. And actually, I'm still waiting for a contractor to finish some interior stuff. He was supposed to call me at the end of February. But contractors are contractors. Clayton themselves has done a pretty good job. I've already referred them to a few friends.

Clayton Homes are better built than other homes I've seen. We only have Wayne Frier and we didn't want to do that. However, I was expecting a better build than what I got. The shingles on the roof have been flying off. Also, in the master bath shower, the shower doors were put in backwards. In the kitchen, some of the moldings are coming off underneath the counter. Furthermore, the paint job really stinks. If someone splashes water or something on the wall, it's there forever. I'm gonna have to repaint all the walls because there's very little paint. It's not my sales rep's problem. She didn’t do anything and she didn’t build the home. But the builder of this home, they should put more than one kind of paint on the walls 'cause it’s really bad.

Since then, the guy from the Clayton Homes here has come out couple of times for the shower. The last time he came out, he said that the whole shower unit was put in backwards and they're ordering me a whole new shower door. He has also changed the molding. Additionally, Clayton's people are supposed to be coming out to fix the shingles on the roof. This home is a 2017 model. It was an old model and if the shingles are coming off now, how can there be a 10-year warranty on it?

Also, though I love the home and the setup, they hooked my stove in wrong. The house could have caught fire if I didn't call maintenance and ask why my stove was sparking. They told me not to use it and upon coming out, they found that whoever put the oven in hooked it up wrong at the back. So, I got a new stove. While I expected some issues, I didn't expect a whole lot. I think the builders should have put more attention into the building and the painting and making sure everything was right before they sold that home to me for as much as I paid for it.

We also have a huge single hand sink. We got exactly what we wanted. I've already recommended Clayton Homes to other people. And we had some of our friends come over that had Jacobsen homes. He wasn’t pushy at all in trying to sell a house. He took us around the whole lot and told us about the different options available to us. He was very helpful in helping us decide which house we wanted and when we decided, he showed us all the details. The build itself is pretty good overall. However, there are some issues I noticed like the siding on the inside of the house where the trim has peeled off a little bit. Somebody who walks in probably won't notice it, but then I'm there every day and I see it. Also, one side of the house had shutters and the other side didn't and so we worked some shutters in there. Still, we got a house we wanted and buying from Clayton worked out well overall.

All my life, my godmother has lived in a manufactured home and I've always loved them. She was in a single-wide then about nine years ago, she bought a double-wide. As I got older and had my kids, I didn’t buy a house. Now my kids are grown, I don’t need a big house. The purchasing process at Clayton Homes was fabulous and I had the best sales team. I had credit issues but they were patient. They guided me on what I needed to take care of in order to get qualified.

About four years ago, I also talked to someone at Clayton along Gulf Freeway and the lady I dealt with at that time was fabulous. But I wasn’t qualified for a trailer van package and I didn’t find any trailers parks that was decent enough as somewhere I wanted to live in the area where she was sending me to look. So I gave up on it but she was willing to do what she had to do to help me out. Then with the storm, I ended up at this location here in Channelview and all my sales reps from both locations were wonderful.

Because I had credit issues, I had to put a steep $13,000 downpayment. But I was in a house the was flooded and damaged so I had to what I had to and emptied my retirement. The process seemed to take forever to me because the mold was building up in the other house. But on the calendar, it took about two months. They didn’t have space for the home in the park that I really liked but they had given me some really nice parks to look at. Besides, the one I really liked would’ve been too far for some of us to get to work or school. So even though I’m not too content with the park, it worked out fine and I have somewhere to call home now. My son had bought one as well.

He was in the whole process of trying to get everything done.

We had a few issues when they set the home up. The service guy came out and fixed the majority of them in a very timely manner. Clayton Homes was great for us all around. Our power bill is better than the other homes I've been in. The inside of the house is fine, but I'm not keen with the siding outside. It's starting to pop loose. We've been in the house a little over six months and we already have a leak from the roof. So I'm very disappointed in that part. And I'm in the process of getting a metal roofing company to come in and re-do the entire roof.

There was a lack of communication between what was expected to be included in the home, from conversations with Clayton's sales representatives, and what the factory was able to optimize with that. We told our sales rep what we wanted and she said they could do that but when we got a blue print from the factory, it wasn't there. We thought we could get a custom home but when the sales rep came back to us, she said that they have never put a hot water heater in that was gas before. This would be the first time. She also said that she didn't know they couldn't do a steam shower and that she thought they could but it just got old. I felt like she was just trying to sell us the product that we wanted and as it came out, we couldn't get what we wanted but she wasn't about to tell us upfront. Things could have been a lot more positive if she did.

Also, the work that was performed and the customization of the manufactured home was really not up to par. We were unable to immediately move into our home because our showers had to be redone since the grout lines weren't even and some of the tiles were backwards. Then, the screens had to be fixed and there were some windows and doors that had had to be adjusted because they wouldn't close. The doors also had to be replaced because they were scratched. So, a lot of issues had to be resolved before we could take residency. We're happy with the home that we have now and we're satisfied with our experience. But it was a journey to get to where we are now. They dropped the home in September and we moved in it in March. So, it was a long period of time for them to make repairs.

Also, I made a complaint to Clayton three months ago about the blinds on our eight foot sliders which was a new product that they were offering. All the other sliders in the house that were six foot half windows have coverings but we still haven't received the ones for the eight foot sliders. When I reached out to them, the rep I talked to said that she'd call the factory and see what happens. Then, she called us back and said they didn't offer window coverings for the eight foot sliders. I told her that we wouldn't have ordered them if we thought they didn't come with window coverings like all the other windows. And her response was, "Well the good thing is you didn't pay for that". She also said that if I wanted she could give me the number of Three Day Blinds. That was kind of rude and I'm not stupid. I can get blinds if I wanted to. Since then, I haven't heard from Clayton.

The sales people in the store was great. I'm happy with the home-buying process but not with the follow-up. When the initial installer of the house put it together, they had a guy do the finish work and he did a ** job. The texture on it was like crap. The trim work was like put together with Legos. We've had our trailer for almost a year now and we still have trim missing on a part of the damn wall which they can't find anymore and replace it, so I'm fixing to call in and start raising hell right now because my trailer is not put together. There was a guy that did a great job trying to fix everything but he just quit. He wouldn't even go back to work and I don't know it it's a Clayton deal or a subcontractor deal.

The salesman was really good. He helped us find a house and he's been very helpful with any questions we've had. Even after we bought the house, we called him anytime there was an issue with the house or if anytime there was any concerns, and he had no issue. We always got it solved right away. There was a service guy that was very rude, invasive, and didn't do his job correctly. So I talked to one of the guys at the Clayton Homes facility and they took care of that. We bought a cheaper model, so there are things that aren't straight and there are somethings that could have been built a little bit differently or better. But other than that, I like it and our electric bill is pretty low every month.

First-time home buyer a few years ago. My purchase was great until I realized this was a cheap product. No quality! Walls are so thin you can hear people talking outside, there is siding, then insulation, then inside wall. No protection from rodents coming in because there is no outer wall the siding is attached to, it's attached to the frame of house. The carpets in bedrooms and living rooms lifted or bubbled but looked warped within a few months of purchase. Was told nothing could be done. The floors you can feel the nails or screws when walking and the floorboards you can feel these are floating in some parts more so kitchen. Even now, sad part, can't trade in or sell. I am stuck due to financing even though I put a big chunk of change for downpayment. They still tied my land with the purchase. Stated it was required. Have spoken with others and said they didn't have to. Very disappointed, sad and upset. I'm locked. It because I'm tied due to my land.

We were on our way to a different mobile home company but we got stuck at Clayton because of the salespeople and Valerie, the receptionist. She does a lot more than that stuff. I paid in full and I love my home but there are some things in here that are very poor quality and that I'm not particularly happy about. When I put my heat on, it started making a lot of loud noises and tripping breakers. The power was going in and out. SCE&G came out but they said they couldn’t help us with anything inside the house. So I was stuck here sometimes without power because I had to cut the whole power off because I was scared that it was gonna start a fire in the breaker box.

I went without heat starting one Wednesday of January and I called numerous times. But although I could leave a message when Clayton closed up the office, nobody ever checked the messages and nobody called. Then I called the heat company itself and they said the issue was power surges, which have nothing to do with them. But if the problem was power surges, I would have had power. Finally, I got in touch with Clayton the following Monday. Around 5:30, the heating company showed up and that same day, I had heat at around 6 o’clock.

The technician told me that when they installed the heat pump, the air conditioner and the thermostat, they never programmed the thermostat with the heat pump. That was why it wasn’t working. And because of that and for some other unknown reasons, my bill jumped from $50 all the way up to $95, and I was not happy. The technician also told me that the unit was shipped with hardly any Freon in it. In fact, today when I got home, I turned the air conditioner on and it won’t come on. I messed with it a little bit but finally gave up. I was getting ready to call Clayton but I went back and looked at it first. Apparently, I did something and finally, the air conditioner came on.

Although the salesman had hooked me up really well, he wouldn’t talk to me anymore when I started having problems. He told me I have to talk to Valerie or Alison. But Alison was laughing at me about the heat problem and that really got under my skin. That's why I don’t choose to talk to her anymore. I talk to Valerie instead because she’s just wonderful. She is the only one who takes the time to call me and let me know what’s going on.

The main problems I’m having right now are the decks. They were built with extremely poor quality. Clayton called the company they used and Nick came over with a camera to take pictures but his cellphone was dead. I told him that I got a plug in here. It wouldn't take five minutes for him to charge it up enough to take a couple of pictures but he said it was okay. Then I got a phone call that they weren't gonna do anything about the deck. They told me that they only made $10 an hour so that was the kind of job I was gonna get. A-1 had come out here before that and did the pantry boards, and Nick told me basically the same thing. It was built for the code which it passed somehow.

My husband was a master carpenter and when he built a deck, it looked like a machine made it. It was absolutely perfect and square. The wood, whether it was covered with water seal or not, never cracked or peeled. Nobody even ever suggested for me to cover that with a water seal until I started having problems with that. Also, I took the tag on the wood and it says that the wood itself has a guarantee on it. I went back and spoke to Clayton about it. Valerie told me that they’ve had numerous complaints about the deck and that she was sorry but they won’t do anything else about the deck. I have the five-year NSI warranties on supposedly everything inside and outside of the house. But they said that I’m stuck with the decks which is not right. It was basically my problem because I didn’t cover it with Thompson’s WaterSeal.

The actual railing has split which is in some type of violation with the health code so now, I have to hire somebody to replace the wood. The company that Clayton subcontracted is not willing to do anything about it, and I don’t think I should have to pay Clayton for not doing the right job. Somebody needs to be responsible for that deck. The mobile home was built in September and it's not even a year old yet. I don't think it's right.

Those aren’t the only problems I’ve had either. Clayton had to send somebody out here to put in the water seal on the front door and it took them three times to get it right. Then in the kitchen, the whole sink is scratched up. The toilets and the knobs are coming off as well. Despite those things, Clayton had sent people out here every time that I called. They have been very good about fixing certain items and trying to send people out.

I recently purchased a home from Clayton Homes (Waco 2) San Antonio, TX. Loved my sales lady Donna!!! It was easy and painless. I am currently getting moved in and loving my house. It is beautiful. I just have some complaints because I feel you pay so much money for a home and go out of the way to customize the way you want it. The manufacturer and painters got so much paint all over the floors, I am spending all my time trying to get it up. I got laminate floors in my kitchen, living, and bathrooms and the paint is everywhere. I’m being picky about the little things but geez this is my home. When I did my walkthrough I felt like he wasn’t listening and really wasn’t concern in fixing the things that I wanted fixed. I haven’t had a bad experience but I feel the manufacturer could take a little more time and not do a sloppy job.

Clayton Homes had the house that we wanted and they gave us the best price. Also, Brian and Chris, the guys who worked at the Clayton Homes we went to were just outstanding. Any question that I had, they would answer. I probably called them 1,000 times but still, they were really easy to work with. We upgraded most things with the home. However, there was one part where we were at fault for not checking things out. The island in the middle of the kitchen is all wood but then on the side where I stick my tools, it's like fake wood. I can hardly use that plug-in because when I push the plug in the whole thing bows in and I feel like it's gonna break. Still, that's no biggie to me. The house itself is built really well for a mobile home. All of Clayton's houses were amazing when I walked into them. I definitely recommend Clayton. Anybody who comes in our house loves it.

Clayton Homes was excellent keeping us informed and kept in touch very well. Anytime we were waiting for something, like for the gravel to get delivered from where we’re putting in our house so the concrete gets poured of anything, they called and let us know when the guys would be out. My only complaint is when they did the underpinning. They cut it to ground level instead of digging down a little bit in burying it. I was out in the country and had we known that they were going to do that, we would have done it ourselves. We wouldn’t have paid for them to do it because now, we have to buy new underpinning and do it ourselves anyway. It was our first home buying experience and we didn’t realize that's how it’s done initially. It was nothing that they did wrong but maybe they should’ve explained that.

Other than that, I kept expecting the price to go up when we close or them to not follow through on everything they said that they would but that never happened. The price stayed the same and they did sneak any charges and did everything and more than what they said they would. They kept telling us we don’t have to worry and that they would cover us even beyond our warranty. I was, "Why would you?" But they’ve been excellent.

I told them my problem and that my sister was living in a camper. They had the trailer on the lot so I purchased it and paid it out, the whole nine yards on a Monday. Clayton's personnel came that week and set the trailer up. This was an emergency and they really stood up to the fight. They really worked with me. Additionally, they told me upfront about the underpayment.

Overall, I can't speak highly enough of the people at Clayton and they deserve a raise. I couldn't ask for any better. I was homeless for some period after I sold my house. I didn’t have anywhere to be other than I knew I wanted to be in the area. I wanted to do a mobile home and I had been looking prior to selling my house. I didn’t shop much and a girlfriend recommended Oakwood, but I went with Clayton Homes. It was local and convenient. I told them the situation I was in and they took care of me. From the time I talked to them, I was in my home within two months. It was fabulous.

The home consultant was excellent and all I had to do if I had any questions or problems was to let him know and it was taken care of within just a day or two. The aspects of the home was explained and I didn’t push it that far because I knew pretty well what I was getting into. They gave me literature and informed me as best as they could. I physically saw the house and I was given literature there again. Any way that they can accommodate me, they did and couldn’t be more. I couldn’t have been better looked after than with those guys down there. The home buying process has been really good. In terms of the home quality, there are a few things that they could have done a little bit better, like mostly the molding things and the strips on the walls. To me, it’s like they didn’t take their time to make sure that they were on there good. Other than that, I'm okay with what I have.

Nothing about our experience with Clayton homes of OKC has been good. We started our process in August of 17 and have had an awful time dealing with them since. We had discussed housing options and found land in October. We had our earnest money paid at that time. We then waited over 2 months for an appraisal and a contractor to go out to see if we had a well and septic on the property. The first contractor they sent out was wrong about that, causing a 25k difference in our budget. We were getting fed up with the delays so we asked the lending company about getting our earnest money back and we were told as long as the appraisal had not been done, we could get it back with no issue... but lo and behold, the appraisal was done the VERY next morning! Until it was time for closing (2 months later), then it had to be redone due to not meeting certain specifications.

So closing was pushed back another month while we waiting for them to get their stuff together. Finally, we had a closing date but 2 days before the date our closing costs shot up over $600 and no one could tell us why because “that has never happened before”. They didn’t get all of their approvals and certifications when the building process was started, instead waiting until the end of the 4-6 week timeline they gave us for building. So on week 7 we had to move out of our rent house and wait another week to actually move in to our new home. The contractor did make amends at the time of the delayed move in, and I don’t doubt our salesperson put effort into our file at the time of closing. We moved in the 8th of April and were told we had 45 days that to find things that they could repair or anything we saw that was wrong with the house and they would fix it.

I did a walk-through with a handyman from Clayton and he fixed a few things at that time. I was told everything else would have to be ordered and parts take 2-3 weeks to come in. The contractor also had some final work to do. I have checked in with our salesperson every couple of weeks and keep getting told “we don’t have the parts in yet”. The contractor has said he will be out “sometime this week” for the past 4 weeks. We have a back door we can’t use, broken kitchen drawers, skirting that is falling apart, creaks all over the house, not to mention red mud in our septic tank that has ruined several loads of laundry, stained our tubs and is not drinkable. Or very desirable to shower in or brush your teeth. We were not given a heads up about the condition our “yard” would be left in. We have a giant low point right in front of our house that retains water for over a week after it rains.

There is concrete debris and trees all over the place. They do not clean up after themselves whatsoever. Also, after removing the first tin horn that was the wrong size and replacing it with another, they left the original front in center in our yard! It will take us years to get the yard in usable condition. We have spoken to the manager of the establishment 3 times during our almost year long process and none of those are regarding our service. He offers no help or solutions and does the bare minimum. I would never waste my time with such an unprofessional establishment if I had it to do all over. Do not waste your money here on people that care nothing about customer service or doing things the right way.

I had a close friend of mine who I've worked with for years and she had used Clayton to purchase her mobile home. We had lunch one day and she told me about the experience that she had with them and said, "You know, you need to go check them out," because I was looking at the moment into purchasing. She recommended the salesman, Brock, and she said she had used him and he was excellent. I went to see the mobile home and he showed it to me, walked me through it, didn’t rush or wasn’t pushy. Then I went back to see it a couple more times. I was with my oldest daughter and went with my husband, and we decided to do it. The price was right.

I am a first time buyer so I had some things on my credit report that needed to be cleared up. There were a couple of medical bills that I needed to get paid off, so that process took a little bit just because we had to wait for them to send a confirmation email that it's paid off or for it to show up on my credit report, which sometimes takes a while. But I was really fortunate because the creditor was more than willing to send me something via email. I would have it within just a couple of days. There were no hiccups or any major issues.

The home is great. There were some cosmetic things on the inside because it was a show model. There were some little cracks here and there, but the initial contractor that was sent out did not do a good job. He created more issues than he needed to and it was probably where he would be paid more. I took pictures after he left, and luckily I'd taken pictures before he came: a little crack above the window and crack in the ceiling, which are normal things when the mobile home moves because I know the walls and the ceiling shift, so I knew what to expect. I'm glad that I took before and after pictures, but the dealership got on top of it. It took them about two weeks to find someone to come out, and he came out and did a great job.

But there was a discrepancy on the registration. There were two copies of the registration so in my understanding there's the one that the dealership keeps and one that I keep, and the one that they have has the correct serial number on it while mine does not. It's missing a digit, which is a big issue because if I ever need to sell, that's going to be a problem. I had to have a copy of the sales agreement of the registration in order to get my taxes set up for it to be registered with the Tax Assessor's office here and one of he great ladies in the office pointed that out to me. She said, "Well, you know the numbers on the sales agreement and the registration don't match." I looked and it was just missing a digit. It looked like a typo. And the lady said, "You know, it's not a big deal. Just call me back and let me know which number is right."

I had my poor husband go underneath the trailer. I didn’t know that it was right there on the inside of the door in the kitchen under the sink. I didn’t tell him that. He took a picture of it and it matched the registration that Clayton has, not the one that I had. Clayton is supposed to be attending to that but it has been a month now. I was gonna give it another couple of weeks to get a status. But that's the only thing pending on it, and I don't know how that would even be corrected.

But my experience with Clayton Homes themselves has been topnotch. Even the issues that we had with the repairs and what the contractor did, and then waiting and all that, it was still a good experience because I know that they were doing all that they could. I had faith in them that it wasn’t them just dragging their feet, that they were really on top of it and I still believe that. I would recommend them, but make sure your registration is right.

My father-in-law got their house from Clayton Homes and they recommended us. Our rep, Martin was great. He knew his stuff and was there for us the whole time. We've been living there since October and I like its built, except that there are still some stuff that’s gonna have to be fixed. Right now, both toilet seats are broken and one of the tubs is cracked. They got these new showers that they installed that they didn’t caulk at the bottom, which they’re supposed to have like this guard or something. And there’s mold getting up in it and I can’t get it out because it’s behind this guard. So, they’re gonna have to do something about that. Also, there are some staples sticking out on one of my cabinets. It was definitely a rush job on the build and they had to do a lot. I had 22 things on my initial walk through. Nonetheless, my experience with Clayton Homes was good.

We looked at several companies and they ignored us. Clayton was more honest and the home that we bought was exactly what we were looking for. Our home consultant was very upfront and very honest. Every time I called, they send somebody out as soon as I called. So, it was good. My experience was a lot better than some of the horror stories that I read when I did my research.

Clayton Homes seemed to be the most reasonable compared to a lot of other places I went to. The others were trying to oversell me a whole bunch, but Clayton was very easy and they were the only ones that really listened to what I wanted, which was nice. The home consultant knew what he was talking about. He understood what I wanted and he helped me get it. He’s one of the top salesmen over there. The home, all in all, is exactly what I expected. We had a couple of warranty things, but it wasn’t hard to get anyone out there to take care of it. We had some troubles with the delivery company for our stove and it took an extra couple of weeks to get it. But other than that, everything else went great and Clayton worked out pretty well for me.

Clayton Homes' website was a lot more informational compared to their competition. After I purchased the home, I got a call back from a gentleman at one of their competitors and I told them that I bought from Clayton because they had their prices on the internet. He told me that they don't do that because they like to negotiate and they like the customers to come in. I understand that but having the information in the website saves the consumer a lot of time, energy, and worry, and negotiation can happen regardless. Clayton's website brought me in. It set me up and then the sale knocked me down. They made it so easy and they had answers for everything. John and his bossman were both fantastic. They really stepped forward and helped us secure a good spot in a good park and they went out of the way for that.

They talked me into completely upgrading everything in the home. I got a large porch on the front and the power saver exterior. I got all the amenities upgraded. The appliances have saved enough off of my electric bill. My electric bill in an apartment that was smaller than our trailer was running me almost $300 a month. And my biggest bill so far with our trailer home has been $122. That was a considerable amount of difference and we were running the AC and the heater how we liked it. It has been amazing. We're just really satisfied. They went above and beyond the call of duty.

We thought there were gonna be a no down payment if Clayton owned our land and we found out we couldn’t do that. But we found out ways to make it happen and Clayton Homes worked hard to help us get that done. They did a really good job as far as getting things set up and doing what they could. Their reps were very professional and I was very happy with everything they did. They leaped and bounced to take care of whatever we needed to take care of. We ran into some issues with some sewer lines hooked up to the wrong line but they came back out and took care of that. They made everything right and went above and beyond. We still have one little issue with the floor but it’s just settling and I'm sure they'll take care of it. They came out here several times and tightened things up, moved things around, and got it better.

The only thing I don’t like is the brick foundation underneath. It’s not as straight and square as I would like it to be as far as looks. But I know all of that can be hidden with flowers or whatever. And that’s the only thing about the home that I really didn’t care for as their people that they sent out here to do the brick underneath the house. If anyone asks and wants to remodel their home, I would tell them to definitely go speak to Clayton Homes.

Our realtor helped us with the buying process with Clayton Homes and it was a good experience. Our home was just something that we picked out and it took 45 days from the application until closing it. We're satisfied with Clayton and the quality of our home is pretty good.

My wife is the research queen. People have said tons of stuff and Clayton Homes looked like the highest quality product we could find. We walked in through the office one day and were greeted promptly by Judy. She showed us several homes. Then, we went back once or twice more to make up our mind on what we wanted and she was just extremely helpful getting things done quickly. Once we picked out what we liked, she helped us through every step including getting the financing done and the insurance.

We feel good about our home. We’ve had a couple of issues, but just one phone call and they took care of everything. The latest was a roof leak during a heavy downpour. It shorted out the smoke detectors and she was waiting on those to come in to schedule the installation for those. Also, I had an issue with a couple of faucets not working and those were taken care of fairly quickly. Other than that, we’ve not had any problems. Clayton Homes is doing a fantastic job. They do their homework and research and they got a quality product. They end up being cheaper than a couple of places we’ve looked at also. My sister-in-law who's based somewhere else, what they got is way overpriced after we looked at the quality of ours and theirs. The quality of this one is hard to beat.

I first went to Clayton Homes then I went to another company down the street from them but I came back. I was satisfied with the home that I had found and my parents love it now. Their customer service was great too, and I loved working with the consultant. The process took about two months, which was a little bit longer, because we were cleaning off the property. I had paid for the home and they held it for me.

The people at Clayton are real good people and I’m satisfied with everything including the sales part. I’m pleased and happy with the home. The lady who initially showed me the homes, Ms. Nancy, was with me all the way -- before buying, looking for the house and after I got the house we did everything. She pointed me in the right direction. It was also good to deal with the people in the Finance Department. They called me and made sure I was happy with the home. They made sure everything went right. I recommend anybody to Clayton.
