I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio Washer thinking I was purchasing a quality product. Unfortunately it was one of the worst decision my wife and I have made. The bearings (lower) only last about 2 years. We purchased the extended warranty and the first time it was covered. The second set were not covered and now we will have to change them again. We will not ever purchase another Whirlpool product. I contacted them several times with no positive results. I still saved the last worn out bearings to show the CEO. The engineers do not have a very good idea to make the lower bearing last. Where I purchased the machine they told me after the first change that it would happen again and they were correct. If anyone needs to contact me about this product feel free. NEVER EVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT.

Whirlpool top loader washing machine Model CAE2743BQ0 - Highly regret buying this washing machine. It was expensive and it doesn't actually wash clothes. Clothes come out with streaks of dirt and detergent since the machine barely has an agitator and what's worse it doesn't load enough water. I called Sears for repair three times and the technicians say that's the way this machine is. It's terrible! So frustrating. Since we were over the 30 day return period when we noticed the issue wasn't going away, Sears won't do anything. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!

I purchased a top load Whirlpool washer from Lowe's 2-8-12. It got so it wouldn't rinse. When it came to that cycle, it just skipped it and went directly to spin. I don't know how long it was doing this before I caught it. A repairman came out said I would need the equivalent of a motherboard that would cost $330.00. Needless to say, couldn't afford that amount for repair. So I purchased a very nice used Amana for $100.00. I always thought Whirlpool was a top of the line product. This has changed my mind. If it won't last any longer than 5 years I don't want it. There are just the two of us and we are retired so the machine was not overused. I am so disappointed and angry about this.

We purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washer & dryer. The glass lid design is VERY POORLY constructed and should be replaced by Whirlpool. We paid over $200 the first time the lid broke and was told this is going to be a continuing problem. They were correct! We subsequently replaced the lid 2 additional times only to have the same break on the right hand side causing the lid to pop up. Something must be done and WHIRLPOOL need to care for their machinery. They should replace the lids or provide a major incentive for consumers to replace the washer. PLEASE DO SOMETHING!

Bought this set for its basic functions. We don't need a lot of bells and whistles. The washer is rated as a water saver but it seems to use more water than our 10-year-old model. The only issue we had was with the electronics. Even though it has few features, it one day decided to not function at all. A call to support recommended just unplugging it for a few minutes so it could reset itself. For once this seemingly crazy idea worked and the unit has been normal ever since. I recommend buying from the outlet store as a scratch and dent. This saves lots of money and if the unit is not on display, who cares about the minor dent.

I have been having a problem when washing my jeans in the Whirlpool Cabrio that I have never had before with my old washer. When I wash my jeans, there are always a few pair, never the same ones, that have an odor like dirty dishrags on them. I always hang my jeans to dry so I do not think it is this. I have tried to add a freshener to the wash cycle, it does not work. I have tried to dry them in the dryer with a scented dryer sheet, it does not work. I am assuming after reading these past complaints from other consumers that it is not getting all of the clothes clean because of the lack of water. I always use the deep water cycle, but maybe it is not enough water as previously suggested. I have had an issue with blankets and other heavy items not getting clean and/or not even wet. Thoroughly disgusted with this appliance!! I love all of my Whirlpool kitchen appliances though!

I purchased my Cabrio Whirlpool washer five years ago. In the past two months I have had three service calls for repairs. I had water leaking out from underneath the machine which was the result of a failed drum seal. Now I get a ul message (there was one blouse being washed on delicate) and the washer is making a terrible "banging" sound. I don't think it is spinning. I have not been happy with this washer. This is about my Whirlpool washing machine that has abruptly stopped working. My Whirlpool washing machine was bought in 2013 and was running [absolutely] great until Tuesday October 3, 2017. I called customer service and they said it was out of warranty. My Whirlpool washing machine model number is: WTW48008Q0. Serial number is: C34923747.

I do not have the money to get this machine fixed. I am already a struggling mom, working hard to pay bills and I am already falling behind on most of them. I just had death in my family and now the machine dies - well there seems to be no end to all of this. I would really appreciate Whirlpool's help in getting my machine up and running again. I have been a loyal Whirlpool customer over the span of more than two decades. I am a Whirlpool fan. My past machines have lasted 12 plus years on upwards to 15 years each.

Let me share exactly what my washing machine is doing: I went to wash clothes as usual the other day; the machine filled up and stopped abruptly - that was it! It did not spin but instead emptied the water without washing the clothes and made some loud chitty chitty bang bang noises before it was all over. I unplugged it after wasting a lot more water thinking that it might just suddenly start working. It did not start working again, it just continued its non-working status.

My family has bought Whirlpool washing machines and dryers for years from Sears; we were totally satisfied with the products we purchased, however, this washing machine did not make the five year mark. I really do not know what is going on with the machine; what I do know is this - it stopped working and I would like to get it working again. Hopefully it is not defective by design. #WhirlpoolWasherDefectiveByDesign. I found Whirlpool washing machines to be very reliable and would love to continue my great relationship with Whirlpool.

I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio 2 years ago and until last week it was fine. We got an error message that said we had to call for service so we called a local whirlpool repairman. The repair guy told us it was the control panel and it was going to cost between $400 to $500. He also said that he works on a lot of whirlpool washers and this is the first time he saw a machine's control panel fail. He recommended that we call Whirlpool.

I called Whirlpool customer service and after waiting on the phone for 40 minutes I was quickly transferred to customer resolution and was told that since I hadn't purchased the extended warranty there was nothing that they could do for me. I kept asking her, "There is nothing that you can do to help me?" And the consistent answer was no. I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance. This has been so frustrating to have an appliance that looks brand new and won't work. The manufacturer won't even try to help with fixing the problem. Amazing AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE.

We purchased our a model WTW7800XWO 7 years ago. Our lid kept falling down when loading and unloading. Very annoying. 3 years ago it failed to lock down which means the washer will not start. We learned to press down on the lid sides to get it to lock. Then it became loose where it connects to washer and we duct taped it to make it work. We put up for that for a year before having a repairman attach a new lid. 1 year later it did the same thing... And we put up with it hoping it wouldn't totally fail. Today it failed. Since the 1st repair cost 250.00 we decided that we will get a new washer rather than spend another 250.00. We will go with American made Speed Queen. We have had Whirlpool appliances since we were married 50 years ago.

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washer 6 years ago. This washer has been such a terrible appliance, I would not recommend that anyone buy one. The top of the washer has broken 2 times. Whirlpool will do nothing about it. It is a manufacturers defect where the glass pops out of the top and then breaks the frame it is in. We had it replaced last year and the new one is now broken - same problem. It also does not get clothes clean and the clothes get ruined because they become all entangled in one another. We will never purchase a Whirlpool appliance again. I did have a 5 year service contract on these appliances but once out of warranty - you are on your own.

I have had our new Whirlpool Cabrio Washer for about a year. I absolutely hate it. I along with all the other people that is complaining about their Cabrio. I have found it to stain my clothes, not get them clean... Sometimes not even get part of them wet. I wash every load now no matter how small on the deep water option. I still have to add about 3 to 6 gals of water after it fills to try to help them get as clean as I possible can. I have stopped using fabric softener because I believe that is what may be leaving the stains on the clothes because it doesn't dilute it. Also you can't soak clothes in the washer long enough. I know it offers a presoak but when the clothes are not getting wet... That is not soaking. I tried to fill it up and raise the lid so it wouldn't wash until I was ready for it to wash but it automatically emptied the tub after a short time.

It is funny watching the clothes when washing... Even I could tell they were not going to be washed well. I thought who in the world developed this washer. Certainly no one that had ever really considered what women need to wash clothes on a daily basis. I would sell it but I don't think anyone would buy it. If there is a class action suit I would consider joining in. Whirlpool could not have spent much effort in checking this washer out. A lot of money down the drain. I did not buy the dryer because of the lint vent being on top of it. What a mess those make when you have to empty it. So I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL. Now that is a wonderful dryer! As one homemaker to another I suggest you check it out. Never had one I liked more.

Whirlpool Cabrio 8kg washing machine - Purchased this washing machine because of the size, water efficiency, no agitator. Have purchased Whirlpool products before and haven't had a problem but this washing machine is absolutely a piece of garbage. At first our water bill was hugely excessive so tested the machine and it was using 269 litres per wash when it was only supposed to use 98 litre as stated on the machine. When doing 2 washes a day you can imagine the water bill we had. Lint on washing, continually out of balance no matter how much was in the wash. Had it fixed under warranty then just out of warranty.

Water wouldn't turn off. Had to turn it on and off at the top lid. Could now be opened during washing cycle. Started turning itself on in the middle of the night and day. Had to unplug it to stop it, won't spin out clothes. Still sodden. After cycle finished with the lid open it would start to fill up with water again and going out of balance again. Had the appliance people out for the 4th time. Had to have the motherboard and a valve replaced. It's still leaving lint. Washing is not even getting wet so it can't possibly be cleaned. Contacted warranty people. They came out and said it is running as it should be but they advised us this is a common problem with this brand of washing machine. Personally I wish I could throw it away if I had another $900 to waste on another machine.

These machines are designed to clean your clothes by rubbing them together which they attempt to do in a minute amount of water. They destroy the fabric, pull the seam out of shape, wrinkle them beyond the point of wearable, do not get them clean and do not get all the detergent out. I have had clothes come out partially dry. They also do not dilute the fabric softener, leaving unremovable stains on your clothes. In addition, they take forever to do a load of clothes even without the extra rinse you need if you want any hope of getting the clothes rinsed.

The dryer is the slowest dryer I have ever had. The steam refresh that is supposed to get the hideous wrinkles out of your clothes does not put steam into the dryer. Instead, it sets the dryer to the highest heat so that those clothes you did not want on high heat are now getting it; then it shoots bursts, yes large bursts, of water on them. Your clothes come out a combination of still wrinkles and wet. If you hear of a class action suit, please contact me. These machines should be recalled.

I bought my Cabrio Platinum Washer and Dryer in 2013 (4 years old). About a month ago, it started sounding like an airplane was landing in the house while on spin cycle. I called a repairman and he said the bearings were going bad and it would be better to buy a new machine. When we pulled out the washer, there was grease all over the floor - apparently a seal started leaking and the bearings had no grease so they started burning up. I talked with Whirlpool, after all it was only 4 years old and a seal leaking and burning the bearings up wouldn't be from normal wear. They were not convinced and offered to give me a discount on a new one -- No Way! I went with another brand recommended by the repairman. The screws on the dryer door also came out and we had to replace them. So much for the Whirlpool brand and especially their top of the line machines. I will not buy another Whirlpool washer or dryer.

We purchased the Cabrio washer and dryer set 2 years ago (7/22/15) from Lowes and have HATED them since day one. The first wash in the washing machine left clothes dirtier than when they went in. Our clothes have never gotten truly clean. The washer has a HUGE tub which is what I liked about it so I can wash my King sized comforters. What a joke that turned out to be. The comforters only get half wet even on the deep water setting. The machine even left dark stains on my light colored comforter and ruined it. Fast forward to 2 years later and the washing machine stops spinning and fills with water clear up to the top of the tub and won't drain. I had to put the machine on the rinse and spin option to get it to drain. Tried a different setting and it worked for a few months but started doing the same thing.

The washer seems to be unbalanced no matter what size load I do. I am thoroughly disgusted with this machine and wish I would have never purchased from Whirlpool. The dryer has always worked fine until recently (2 years after purchase). It quit drying the clothes and leaves everything twisted up and wrinkled, even if I take them out of the washer and shake them out before I put them in the dryer. Doesn't matter what setting I put it on, the result is the same. So now it seems as though BOTH of my machines only lasted 2 years. I'm not going to bother fixing them, these will be used as target practice. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again.

Front Load Washing Machine, Model WFW97HEDBD0 - This is the worst appliance we ever owned. Purchased in 2015, multiple problems since! 1. Soap dispenser did not dispense and leaked down the front of washer... 4 service calls, control panel finally replaced, clothes not clean, leaking continued. Had to place soap into washer drum. 2. Pedestal drawer made grating noise, track off, drawer replaced, opened better but still made irritating noise. 3. Grease oozing from side of washer both sides. Decided to look in back of washer and OMG! A copious amount of grease is also beneath & behind the washer & dryer. I had to scrape with a metal spatula device to pick up and it took over 1.5 hours to remove & clean. We are lucky a FIRE did not start when using either machine. This machine was a LEMON from the beginning.

In fact when we were having it serviced, I stated I wanted it replaced but was informed 2 visits were counted as 1 and did not qualify for further investigation. We cannot rid ourselves of this machine fast enough after the last issue. New washer coming tomorrow, not a WHIRLPOOL! New machine is LG WITH 10 year warranty on motor.

In that time, the hinge on the lid broke, and now it makes a deafening noise when spinning. We called a repairman and he said the bearings were bad and needed to be replaced... Total cost $275 plus $50 for fixing the lid. When we told the repairman that it was only 3 years old he couldn't believe it!

We decided against fixing it because from the start it never got the clothes as clean as we were used to, and without the agitator post in the middle, which was a big selling point by the salesperson who sold it to us, the washer continually stops with an Uneven Load message. Large load, small load, it doesn't matter. You can't do a load of any size without the load becoming uneven. I purchased a Whirlpool top load 8500 washing machine from LOWE's two years ago. I noticed that the clothes were not getting wet, clean, were coming out covered in lint, soap film and stained. It is misleading to call it a HE washer since I have to wash each load 3 - 4.5 hours. It is NOT energy efficient if you have to wash each load of clothes 3 times with a rinse. I have tried all of the tricks - changing soaps, labeling the wash as bulky, wetting the clothes to add weight... Washing clothes should not be this complicated. The clothes are sorted appropriately and washed in the right temperature.

I do not understand what is staining the clothes. I put new white towels in and they come out stained (see photo)? Lowe's sent out a repairman who said the machine would never clean the clothes since there was not enough water in the washing machine to wash the clothes. I tried to return the washer to Lowe's but they said it was past the 30 days. Unfortunately, I purchased the appliances on a Lowe's credit card so there was no recourse. I then contacted Whirlpool and was put on hold and transferred to various people before I gave up.

whirlpool Cabrio Washer - I replaced my front loading Duet with this, thinking I was done with front loader. Designs are set to fail, liked the idea of no agitator, thinking can clean a lot clothes at once, boy was I wrong, heavy loads won't spin dry, forget sheets or blankets. The machine just stops, leaving everything soaked and you basically screwed, you can invoke a spin cycle but to help make rinse and spin out, sooo disappointed. What's wrong with the designers of this product? They didn't try sheets to see if it would even work. I am far from over loading this too. Don't buy this.

I purchased this machine three years ago. It is junk. I have had two washing machines and they lasted for years and years. Never had a problem with either machine. I purchased them from Sears. When I the Cabrio, I was told it was the top of the line washer for Whirlpool. Three weeks ago it started making a noise like a plane taking off. It wouldn't spin the clothes. The repair person said that it could be three different things the parts, for which, would cost in the vicinity of $200. However, since it was making such a loud noise and water was coming out from underneath the washer, he was certain the transmission was out. He said the noise was an indicator the bearings were gone. I didn't see much point in repairing the washer if the transmission was out because it couldn't be fix.

There was a couple at Lowe's purchasing a machine at the same time as myself. They said they had a Cabrio also and it was only two years old. It wasn't spinning the clothes either and making a tremendously loud noise. They told us this before we mentioned that we had a Cabrio also. I will neither purchase another Whirlpool product. Junk!

We bought our washer about 3 years ago brand new from Lowe's. Like others, I have had problems with holes in clothing and spots that looked like grease. It worked well up until recently when we noticed some brown splatters on the floor. Shortly after it made a loud noise like a plane taking off and the load would become unbalanced. We researched and found many people were having issues with the bearings going bad. My husband was going to order parts to fix it but you have to have a special tool that is expensive to buy... It was going to be almost $200 to repair ourselves! He called a washing machine repair man and he said he doesn't even touch them because the repair won't last. I guess we're going to be better off buying a new washer. There really needs to be a recall on this product!!!

Looks sleek, lots of settings BUT IT DOES NOT GET CLOTHES CLEAN - not on any setting, not if loaded as recommended or under-loaded, not if I use more or less detergent, and not if I follow all the tips for getting rid of residue. This machine so under-performs I have to spot clean my clothes AFTER I was them. And we're not talking deep dirt or grime here, or things that need special treatment, Just ordinary dirt dirt, to which the machine adds gray streaks of dirty water residue. Thank God I didn't buy this turkey for myself -- I will NEVER buy one of these machines. I did two small rugs today and they came out dingier than they went in. These machines should be recalled. If I could give it less than one star, I would.

After four service calls they just stopped sending out techs and told us too bad. Now after less than two years it is leaking from the bottom. Yeah, Whirlpool, there's no problem with it. Purchased top loading Whirlpool Washer WTW5000DW0 10/12/2015 at Best Buy's, first no agitator machine for us. Two weeks later I call for repair service because of the noise from tub. Explained in other reviews as earthquake or jet engines. The machine is in the garage and can be heard through the walls into the house. Repair tells this is normal for the machine and it must be our first none agitator machine.

I then purchased a extended warranty policy through Whirlpool. 12/13/2016 machine no longer washing clothes. Call Whirlpool for service. Repair came out 01/17/2017 (a month later). Washer plate had to be replaced. The gear was completely shredded. Not in stock, waited 2 weeks to get repaired. Tension springs on outer tub replaced at same time. Was told the excessive grinding and bumping of the tub was not the reason for the gear shredding.

06/30/2017 same problem, I set a repair date 07/01/2017 between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. No one shows and no call. I call Whirlpool and they are sorry and set the appointment the same day for before 5:00 p.m. No one shows our calls. I call back. Already closed. I call the next day. Sets a new date 07/05/2017, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Same problem. I called back speak to a supervisor who says he'll get to problem and find out what's wrong. Sets a new date 07/08/2017 8:00 to 12:00 p.m. 07/07/2017 I get a call after 5:00 p.m. that the repairman is not available and can we reset for 07/13/2017. I hung up and called back the next day and spoke to a supervisor I had previously spoke with. He called an outside repair company that Whirlpool uses in this area.

New date 07/12/2017. Repairman shows and I explain the washer plate was loose again and I smelled metal burning. I had told my wife to continue to use the machine to wash the clothes. The repairman tells me I voided the warranty by doing this. I'm standing in the garage while he has his head in the machine trying to get the washer plate out. He shuts the lid and turns the machine on wash/spin says the machine is ok. We have an exchange of words and tell him I want to see the washer plate gears. He says he can't get the plate out now and I wasn't there for him to show it to me. This continued until he forced the plate off.

He called Tech Support to say I voided the warranty. He told them customer claims loud noises and banging. I asked to speak to Tech but he tells me they don't speak with the customer. I looked at the gears on the washer plate and the transmission. Both had metal shavings. He tells me he is going to do me a favor and replace both. It's supposed to take a week. Wait and see. I have asked for a replacement or money for the machine through Whirlpool. I was told there has to be at least 4 repair requests for the same problem and the repairman has to determine that there is a problem or that it's a lemon. I will not recommend or purchase another Whirlpool product.

I checked everything from the outlet, the plug to the circuit breaker, and nothing seemed to help get my washer to start up again. Unfortunately I had wet clothes inside and the lid is one of those that locks itself and it would not open. :( I called Whirlpool/Maytag to explain my situation and could not believe that they told me that they only have 1 authorized appliance repair dealer they work with in my area and that they didn't show any available appointments until 4 weeks from now? WHAT? Are you kidding me? I could not wait that long, especially since I had soaking wet clothes sitting inside the washer.

I asked if I called someone else myself and have it repaired sooner, would they reimburse me for the expenses. They refused to do that and told me I need to wait for their own authorized repair dealers. Talk about bad customer service here :( My husband called them back and asked to speak to a supervisor at Whirlpool and was told that it shouldn't have to be that long for us to wait for repair so why was I told that in the first place? The supervisor proceeded to tell my husband that we will get a call back in 5 days? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? 5 days just for someone to CALL us? And then have to wait longer to get our service done? No way!

We think that Whirlpool sold Best Buy a "lemon" and we are paying for it! Why can't they say that they will get in touch with Best Buy so they can deliver a new working machine and take this "lemon" back? We are not happy with their responses so we will be paying Best Buy a visit to see what else we can do. I already spent unnecessary money to go to a laundromat to wash clothes :( I would recommend that people stay away from Whirlpool products. We'll see if we can exchange ours for another brand.

However three weeks ago it stopped working completely. After two weeks and two service visits it started to work but leaked whenever water was in it. Whirlpool's service agents refused to believe it was leaking and refused to watch it cycle to show it was leaking. They said any water was due to drain overflow which cost me a 300 dollar plumber visit to tell me it was the washer and not any of our plumbing. They did say they would replace the fidgety computer and return in one to two weeks for that but not the leak.

Calling Whirlpool I was told to be patient and if the technician wanted they could at that time phone technical help to fix the leak if they decided to look at the leak. The people who ruined the machine have yet to return my calls. Beware of companies that do not stand behind their projects. By June of 2016 and since, I've had several repairman out to the house trying to figure out what's wrong with my washer. 9 times out of 10, it will not spin the excess water out and the clothes are soaked. Sometimes it takes me an hour to get the washer to go through a spin cycle. Sometimes the washer won't go into a cycle at all, it just makes a horrible noise (like it's draining) and never does anything. It doesn't put out enough water in larger loads, so I've had to cut my load size in half. It won't work on half the cycle options on the screen, only working on bulky or heavy. Won't wash on normal or quick wash or any of the others. It will make that same horrible sound and do nothing.

Nobody can tell me what's wrong with the stupid washer and the repairman said he sees issues with Whirlpool all the time. He said save myself money and buy something else. But I remember a time when a washer and dryer would last for 20 years. What happened to quality products and craftsmanship. My wife and I purchased our Whirlpool Duet Model # WFW95HEDC 7/19/16. I put my first claim in on 12/19/16. We were sitting downstairs one night watching tv and all of a sudden a noise like the sound of a tractor trailer putting on its jake brake came roaring from upstairs. It was so loud that we both jumped. The machine would periodically vibrate violently while going thru its spin cycle. The frequency started to get closer and closer together.

Whirlpool had a technician come to our home. They came out 3 times and said that nothing was wrong. They said that it was vibrating because it was on a pedestal and upstairs on a non solid floor. They also blamed the loose water hose on the noise. SERIOUSLY??? After the 3rd visit, and a week before the 4th visit our machine started to leak. We paid $1,079.00 for this washer and we were having to take our laundry to a laundromat to wash it. The technician came out the 4th time and replaced a cracked drum. Apparently it vibrated so badly that the drum cracked.

So everything seemed ok, then WHALAH!!! We wash the clothes and go to move it to the dryer and it is dripping wet. Somehow after they replaced the drum the machine started to not spin the water from the clothes very well. Takes drying the clothes for 50min 2x to get them dry. I am now set to have the appliance company come out for a 5th time and still not corrected.

What's worse is that every time I contact Whirlpool they give me the same canned speech and want to set up another appointment with the appliance company. I am soon at the year mark with my manufacturer's warranty and still having issues. I think Whirlpool keeps kicking the can down the road without making good on correcting the issue so they can get past the year mark and make us take it up with Home Depot on our extended service plan. I feel bad for everyone out there who got screwed by this company.

So I was excited to buy a new, matching set. I have never been soooo dissatisfied with anything in my life. As I have read from other reviews, the washer uses very little water, sometimes hardly enough to get the load of clothes wet, very little soap, and in my opinion, does hardly any agitating. I don't feel my clothes have ever appeared clean. The only ones that look clean were the ones that started out looking clean when I put them in. I know this is all an ecology thing, water saving, government guidelines, etc., but please give me my old washer back. It did enough agitation to get clothes clean. And the dryer usually will not get the jeans dry on the first attempt. I have tried various settings, and they just don't get dry.

Yikes, it made noises like a machine that is on its last legs. I knew from washing clothes for 40 years that this is NOT right. We, hubby and I waited and listened to this piece of junk to finish the cycle. Thank god I had set it for a short wash. We also videoed this contraption while it was grinding. I called Lowe's and politely told them I was returning it. Thankfully they never had a problem with us bringing it back. (This must happen often.) I go back to the appliance department and decide on a Maytag. I noticed that it looked like the junk we just returned.

I stood there and looked up the model number online and lo and behold there was a video of it doing exactly the same noise. It was virtually the same machine I just returned with just a name change. Needless to say we left the store washerless until I can research this further. I then found out that Whirlpool now owns Maytag. Thing is I just bought a front loader Maytag for my main home and it works good. It was a replacement for a Whirlpool without a agitator which worked well too. The YouTube videos seem to be washers with agitators doing this. I just wish I could post the video for all to hear. I guess we are all at the mercy of big companies who don't care if they make a good product as long as they can make it cheap.

I use more Tide than previously per wash; I use more Clorox than previously per wash. Everything from tea towels to heavily soiled jeans show stains and soils after washing. Instructions say not to spread the item in the washer but allow it to "stack on itself," so twisted and tangled wet clothes are the result. I try to soak and scrub all visible dirt before I start the machine now; additionally, I use a mop or plunger or my hands to thoroughly immerse the clothes in the washer, somewhat like my mother did in 1950's. Purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washer WTW5800BW0 September 2014. Two years and 8 months later it no longer works. Call Sears and Whirlpool and was basically told I should have purchased a warranty. Whirlpool tried to sell me an extended warranty for $495.00 which is about 80% of the original sale price of the washer. Was told it is my responsibility to care for the maintenance of my purchase. WOW. Way to stand by your product. So now it's my fault they sell a product that does not last longer than 3 years. So we tried option 2 - called a repairman. His response "save your money and buy a new washer". WOW. A repairman rather lose money than try and fix this washer. Save your money and pass on Whirlpool products.

We just received our brand new Whirlpool washer and dryer from Home Depot. The delivery person started the washer and started the dryer and promptly departed. My husband immediately put a load of laundry into the washer, and he noticed there was insufficient water levels to adequately wet the clothing. Approximately 3 tablespoons of warm water were added at intervals of approximately one minute each. The water level never rose above 3 inches at the bottom of the tub despite setting the washer on the heavily soiled setting. After the spin cycles he removed the extremely damp clothing and it appeared that the machine had not properly completed the spin cycle and drained an insufficient amount of water from the clothing.

He tried another load, and it appeared that the sensors were not working which regulate the water levels because most new machines use far less water. However this washer was defective. He then placed the clothes in the brand new Whirlpool dryer. The clothes ran for over five hours and never dried and the dryer never got hot. There was obviously something wrong with the thermostat. We are both disgusted and will never ever buy a Whirlpool product again. In addition because of the extremely poor response from Home Depot, we will never purchase an appliance from them again either. So sad that Made In America, which was on a sticker on the front of the machines, does it mean diddly squat these days.

Our 2.5 year old Whirlpool top loading clothes washer started leaking from the bottom, enough to form a sizable puddle that ran under the dryer all the way to the wall. It was still under warranty so we called the company and they recommended a repair service. Guy came couldn't really identify the exact problem but said he'd order parts to stop the leak. That was 6 weeks ago. He can't get the parts despite us calling about every week to see if the parts came in. So for the last month we've been taking our clothes to a laundromat. There seems to be no end in sight to this problem. Seems stuck between Whirlpool and the repair service and we're the victims. And, oh yeah we got a note that says our warranty is ending soon.

Bought the Whirlpool Cabrio washer (WTW7300DW) and dryer (WED7300DW1) about 8 months ago. The washer always leaves white debris on the dark clothes - looks like detergent. Except I use blue liquid detergent. It seems like the inside, bottom of the drum is deteriorating and sticking to the clothes, since there is nothing that is white in the washer. I have run it through the clean cycle several times with the recommended washer cleaning product (the brand that came as a sample with the washer). That did not help. Also, we have a dog, our old washer used to rinse out a lot of dog hair from the bottom of our socks, etc. My filter for my drain hose would always have dog hair in it. With this washer, there is no dog hair being rinsed out at all. Lint and dog hair is all through the clothes after the cycle is over. Makes me wonder where the dirt is going, then.

The clothes are so twisted after washing. Anything with long sleeves get tied up around other clothes. This seems very rough to wash clothes this way. Also, if you don't use the deep water setting, it's likely not to get parts of the clothes even wet. I had a gray hooded sweatshirt go through a whole wash cycle and there were spots all over it that never even got wet at all. The dryer power button is very temperamental. Sometimes I have to hit it 6 - 7 times, at different angles, until I hit it just right to get it to turn on. Other times it just turns right on. There are just 2 of us so I only do 10 - 12 loads of clothes a month. After reading all the awful reviews, I fear that these problems, which are becoming evident now, will only get worse. Yet I only have 4 more months until the warranty runs out.

When wringing clothes it seems be out of balance as it bangs like crazy even when clothes are adjusted. I thought it was the feet but no dice and the auto sensing levels allows for the washer to fill completely with only three items in it? The noise it makes while washing can be heard throughout the whole house too. The cycle takes three times as long of any I've ever used! I hate this thing.

I've spent more repairing this washer than what I paid for it new!!! It's really ridiculous that Whirlpool isn't more responsible for their equipment that doesn't stand up to their name! I've replaced more things than I want to type but just to start the computer board, pump, bearings just to name a few. Each time I had my repairman out it was a minimum of $300 to repair. I've had my repairman out 5 times to repair things. Thinking each time it's cheaper to fix it than buy another which I surely didn't think I would be repairing it several time!

At this point I'm just sick to death that a washer that is for a home of myself and my daughter has broken down so much. I can't imagine what a family would go through. Even after all the repairs it still isn't right but I'm done sinking money into this sinking ship of a washer! It's loud constantly stops due to un level so I have to move the clothes around usually having to repeat this several times before I can get the load to finish!!! Then they come out wrinkled more than they went in and I have to iron clothes. A person should NOT need to iron! May as well wash them in the river on a rock. It would be easier!!! SO DISAPPOINTED!!!

Well now it's March on 2017 and the washer has been slowly getting louder during spin cycle to the point where yup you guessed it the bearing is bad because on a cheap seal that suppose to keep water out. It just cost me just under $600 to get the repair done and from reading other reviews and the fact that I have worked on cars and machines at my employment this will happen again. I wanted to save money on water for the city that I live in charges gold prices per cubic units of water but for the price of repairs to the water saved I am in the red. So once it goes again going back to conventional unit and will never buy anything from this company again.

I work in the second largest printing company in the world for 28 years on press and know a bit about quality workmanship. It's really sort of typical on how over the years some good manufacturers cut quality and design in planned obsolescence into their product just to make money for the useless corporate bloat that has taken over. I made the mistake in buying what I thought was a good product from a great company but they just proved me wrong. People do not buy any products from this manufacture and find out what other unit they make and steer away from them too.

We have the same complaints about the washer as other reviewers -- have to use deep water wash to get enough water in the tub to clean and rinse soap from clothes and we have to keep the loads small. Dryer thermostat had to be replaced right off the bat. Now on medium heat it just burned patterns into two light-weight polyester fleece items -- the clothes came out with the heat input screen pattern burned into them. Now I wonder if they stuck to the heating screen for any length of time, was it a fire hazard? The burned parts of the items are now stuck to the drum so that needs cleaning. So we'll be using low heat on most everything and drying them twice, since low heat leaves them pretty wet after 35 minutes.

So much for buying energy saving appliances which, by the way, we were proud to buy! But, prior to buying these appliances, we had washer and dryers that last 20 years. Built in obsolescence with these new things? I have no faith in the consumer complaint process anymore. The retailer may care as they are a bit closer to the problem, but the manufacturer? Forget it. Vote with your wallet and don't buy these products.

Very disheartening to know that an established company such as Whirlpool does not stand behind their products or acknowledge known product defects. Based on the quantity of complaints logged on this site alone, I'd think a recall would be required. Identical to other consumer posts within, we purchased the Cabrio Platinum washer/dryer set (WTW8000BW0). Exactly 24 months to the purchase date, jet planes began flying through our home with the noise concentrated in the laundry room. The dryer has been fine; however, the washer is a whole other issue. The bearings are shot (as many users have cited) and the noise is deafening... even with the laundry door closed, TV on high, dogs barking and flurry of activity in the kitchen!

We made a switch to the Whirlpool brand 2yrs ago due to reputation and longevity. Ooops. Lesson learned and $700 out the window. Back to GE's. If you're reading this and concur with our review, just remember... customers always have a choice! Unfortunately, Whirlpool will figure this out the hard way. Just like other iconic brands... Smith-Corona, Blockbuster, Polaroid, Nokia, Saturn, Pontiac/Oldsmobile, Sony and many others. There is typically a reason a company offers tremendous sales incentives (price cut, rebate, special financing) to unload products. We found out why. Thanks for the memories Whirlpool!

A year or so later, it started leaking; based on reading the troubleshooting guide we found that this was because the feet would continually get out of balance. After painstakingly re-leveling the washer every 6 months or so the washer now consistently leaks - even though it's balanced/level! $508 to repair a machine I paid $787 for. No thanks. I agree too with the other reports that it doesn't get clothes clean. I just figured this was a "feature" those of us got for trying to be energy efficient.

Since week two, they have been a constant problem (i.e. not enough water to even get clothes wet, forget about clean; gulping soap from the dispenser; rubbing holes in clothing; putting rust on washed items). The dryer NEVER gets the clothes dry; no matter what setting they always come out damp, even after I've put them through for two cycles.

Three separate repairmen have come to work on the washer replacing sensors and the entire control board. It worked fine for two weeks, now it's back to guzzling soap. (It is supposed to do up to 12 loads on one refill of detergent. I get two per refill. Ridiculous! Soap isn't cheap!) And, today it ruined brand new bathroom mats with rust all over them that I had to hand wash to try and remove without much success. At this point I would advise anyone looking for new appliances to try any other major brand and NOT Whirlpool. It has not worked properly since day 1. The clothes come out dripping wet. At first I thought I was doing something wrong. I tried every cycle, limited amount of clothing and ran additional spin cycles to no avail. Finally I gave up and called for service.

Whirlpool is very much aware that a number of their machines came off the line with defective spin bearings but they won't admit to it. Instead I am expected to have it repaired! It involves the entire inside of the machine being rebuilt. It's a 2 man job that will take 3-4 hours. This is totally unacceptable and it is obvious Whirlpool does not make a quality product nor do they value customer satisfaction. We purchased the Cabrio Washer and Dryer from Lowe's during a Black Friday sale, November 2016. The items were delivered when we closed on a new home. Thus, we didn't start using the washer and dryer until 3 months after purchase. One month after usage we had our first service call. To the point, what the other reviews say are the exact experience that we are having. Unfortunately, we did not do our research before buying. The washer: Clothes come out wrinkled, littered with lint, and the wash cycles are excessively long. The dryer: Clothes take a long time to dry, and most times we run the dry cycle twice because, after the first cycle, the clothes are still damp.

Even though the washer and dryer can accommodate larger loads, we are forced to break out the laundry into smaller loads to get better results. Still, doing the laundry is negative experience with the Cabrio. Recently, it took nine hours to fully complete 5 loads of wash. That included the dryer cycle. The repairman said that he is well familiar with the issue. It is the "new technology". The software is incredibly sensitive and can fault easily. This leads to another negative feature. The software is restrictive leaving the user with little control over how they want the wash and dry cycles to perform.

Going back to the conversation we had with the repairman. He said he had a Whirlpool washer and dryer at home that was over 10 years old. The old fashion kind with the dials and less complicated technology; and he has never had an issue. I have to agree with that. Our second home has the Whirlpool Duet (washer and dryer) that are 13 years old. Never had a problem technically and with washing and drying clothing. We plan to try to contact Whirlpool about their return policy. Not a quality product. Definitely cannot recommend this washer and dryer. We truly purchased junk.

We use Gain HE liquid detergent in the washer and have no problems. We also do the recommended routine cleanings of the machine as the manual says. I pick the settings for what we have, clothing wise, and it washes appropriately and things are clean, no marks or other things people have mentioned. I will click on extra rinse and adjust the soil level if something is particularly yucky. The dryer is great as well as long as you select the proper type of wash you have going on. I tend to do "more dry" setting and things never come out wrinkled. Sorry for all those who have had bad experiences. Also, others have complained about the noise...our old machine had an agitator and was very loud. Our machines are in a closed room and most of the time we don't hear a thing until the bell rings. Maybe we'd hear more if they were in an open area or garage where noise echoes?

No matter what combination of setting I use, my clothes come out dingy, all twisted and wrinkled, and full of lint and detergent residue (I use liquid detergent made specifically for HE washers). Every setting runs for over an hour. So much for high efficiency! What it saves on water it more than wastes on electricity!! More often than not, the entire load becomes enveloped in one of the items to create one huge ball. A t-shirt stretched to encompass the remaining clothes into a perfect sphere! When that happens, some of the laundry in the middle of the big ball is barely damp. The dryer is just as bad, even the towels come out wrinkled. How is that possible? And again, it takes over an hour to dry a load.

Whirlpool customer service is awful. When I called to complain, the agent began schooling me on how to wash clothes. We purchased the set at a Sears store in Timmins Ontario and we’re quite confident that we were getting an excellent product. From day 1 we have had issues with having to rewash our clothes. We have lint and white streaks on the clothes as if we were using powdered detergent and they are all tangled. We have always used HE liquid and at one point I switched to soap nuts to get rid of using chemicals. We have now changed to pods and still have issues. When the washer is spinning it is deafening. You can hear it outside for goodness sakes. It sounds like it is about to take off and fly.

The cycles are ridiculously long. For a quick cycle the other day and a very small load it took 72 minutes... how is that quick? When the wash is done my clothes are all tangled up and are stretching things out of shape. I am careful what goes in my washer and how large my load is. I know not to wash sheets or towels when I am not home as they will eventually be unbalanced and have Sat all day in the washer only to have another hour of washing when I get home. We are currently doing some work in our home and pulled out the washer. The floor has a rust circle from God knows what. I will attach a picture. The lid not longer closes. I have to hold it down until it locks and it still pops up a wee bit.

I do not understand why I am responsible for purchasing a new set when the product I bought should have lasted and not caused damage to my clothes or my flooring. How do we as consumers make the manufacturers responsible for things like this. If nothing else the appliances should be removed from my home by the Company and I should be reimbursed for damages and the cost of a new set. I will continue to look for my receipt as I keep everything and I am unsure what is meant by order #.

The machine wrinkles clothes like I have never see before. The dryer usually gets them out but not always. They are mangled after washing. Using the first or second spin speed helps reduce some but they are wetter going into the dryer that way. If I wash bed clothes, the tight fitting sheet that fits snugly around the mattress must be washed alone. If not, all the other items end up encased in it as if you've intentionally packed it that way to carry everything around. This leaves everything absolutely soaked. I have also had shirts come out with dry spots on them. How does a piece of clothing come out of a washer with more than one dry spot on it? And no I did not over pack the machine.

I have had no problems with the dryer. It does its job so no complaints on that. I would not recommend the Whirlpool Cabrio to my worst enemy. Complete waste of time, money, and water!!! Very disappointed and will never buy from this company again and will prevent anyone else from doing so the rest of my life. Did the company do zero testing on this machine before selling it? Because I see a lot of repetitive reviews. Or the company was well aware and did not care and just wanted to make money? Either way is unacceptable. Garbage!!!

I have to re-rinse the clothes. It does not spin enough, have to re-spin again. What kind of energy saver is this, NONE. They said that's the way the machine is, loud, that's bull. No machine should be like that. I threw money away when I bought that piece of (you know what). Don't buy this machine. Had a Whirlpool front in loader for 15 years. Loved it! But the washing machine's without the agitator on it is a laugh. What person thought up that design. What a joke on the poor unknowing people that purchased one. I'm also upset at G&H Appliances for not standing by their products they sell. Found out that Lowe's has a 30 day satisfaction guarantee on what they sell. Not buying from Lowe's and buying a washer without on agitator on it. Was two big mistakes I made. I wanted to help out a small local business, but won't be doing that again. They sure are not worried about me.

I am the unproud owner of, god help me, two small whirlpool front loaders (2 unit building) WFC7500VW0 and WFC7500VW0-1, manufactured in China. I invite anyone interested in purchasing a major appliance to read the following exchange with customer support. Friday afternoon, March 17, 2017 - My whirlpool washing machine stopped draining, and I called in an appliance repair company who found, running your diagnostics, that the door switch and the drain pump had failed. The repair was difficult, because corrosion prevented access to the parts to be replaced. After they replaced them and the same problems recurred, they now say the master board is the problem, and the total repair cost has risen to above the new price. This machine is 5 years old! What happened to Whirlpool quality? I guess what was most disturbing was the amount of corrosion. My old Whirpool lasted over 25 years!

"To protect our customers against the possibility of a defect in materials and/or workmanship, all of our new products include a manufacturer's warranty. This warranty states that we will repair or replace any part that proves to be defective within a specified period of time. It has been our experience that manufacturing defects generally appear within the warranty. However, outside of that warranty it is the consumer's responsibility to maintain the appliance and to provide for repairs, either by paying out of pocket or by continuous coverage by a service contract. After the washer is repaired you can certainly contact us and we can get you to the service plan department and they can go over the options with you." Well, no, if that's the best you've got, I think I'll get out of the Whirpool spin before I spend another $389 to replace the central board. I mean, I've already spent over $500 to replace parts that weren't the problem. Good money after bad.

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer WTW7340XW sounds like a small jet during spin cycle. The Whirlpool Cabrio Washers have a very well known and well documented problem with the tub bearings failing. Many many disgruntled owners have posted their complaints online, and there are many videos showing the issue on youtube. This issue is so prevalent that the manufacturer has created a tub bearing failure repair kit for $350. The repair is so expensive and labor intensive that many of the certified Whirlpool repair shops no longer work on the Cabrio washer stating that a better washer can be purchased for the cost of this repair.

That said, the manufacturer's customer service group denies that the Cabrio tub bearing failures is a common problem and are quick to state that Whirlpool holds no liability for this problem. Ramping the complaint up to a customer service supervisor is met with the same canned response. Regardless of the thousands of complaints Whirlpool is claiming that it is normal wear and tear for the tub bearings to fail. The manufacturer should recall the units for this manufacturing defect in the Cabrio design.

After 50+ years of doing laundry, I had to purchase my 3rd washer. I bought the new top loader without an agitator. I very quickly learned that it has no lint filter. My first load was towels and mats. The lint clogged up my tub and drain pouring water all over the floor. Since then it has ruined many of my clothes which are mostly sweaters and sweater-knits. Without a lint filter, it deposits the lint right back on the clothes where it stays forever unless I shave or pick it off, even though I've turned them inside-out. (Time consuming waste!) Even my socks have little balls of lint. It seems the only safe fabrics are new, smooth woven cottons, cotton-blends and slippery nylon providing there is no lace or brushed elastic.

Now to the no fabric-softener dispenser... The Downy ball simply doesn't work, and there's no other way to add it. Waiting to use dryer sheets is too late; the damage is done. My clothes are dingy. In my 50+ years of ownership, I have never had to purchase a separate product to wash my washer so that it doesn't stink... and it does. Why does it lock after starting? This Whirlpool washing machine is incredibly annoying and slow in everything it does. First off when you press the START button it takes 2-3 minutes before it decides to do anything, like maybe add water (except click, click and more click). If you have pressed the start button and you want to stop it to add something... again you have to wait almost 2-3 minutes before the lock is released and you can open the door. I am at 2 hrs and 15 minutes as I write this on the "LIGHT WASH" cycle with extra rinse and it's still going. I have never seen anything like it. Can't imagine how long a "HEAVY CYCLE" takes. Cannot even try to measure the time. I put the load in and go to work and hope it's complete when I'm done 8 hrs later.

We had a Maytag for 15 years with no issues (other than a drain hose cracked and had to be replaced) and it was time for a new one with a move to a new place. The sales associate convinced us this was the best machine at the time... Well what a mistake that was. There are no complaints about the actual washing. Everything comes out clean but I suppose taking that long I can't imagine why it wouldn't. Where to begin? I bought Whirlpool Duet Front-Load Washing Machine about 11 months ago after my top load bearing went bad and start making a lot of noise after 8-9 years. 4 months ago (6 months from purchase) it started to act strange; washing machine will not unlock after a cycle, start throwing F3E1 error. That's when I first called their support service. Their service technicians are very nice actually. They seem to be local small appliance shop, contacted out by Whirlpool, from my guess. Initial visit was to inform me that I'm using WAY too much soap, while I was only using well below what was recommended by Whirlpool manual. RED FLAG #1. Technicians told me to stop using too much soap or start using POD. Also to flush my washing machine with 2 cups of white vinegar in hot cycle every few weeks. I've changed my soap to Tide POD and starting flushing my washing machine immediately after he left my house.

It was running OK, but I still saw F3E1 error at the end of every other cycle, until... thing went really bad one day, it simply stopped responding any command while clothes was still in the washing machine. I unplugged power cable and plug it back, it hums for 10 mins and in the end it was the same result. After several attempt, it finally unlocked itself, thus I could wash my clothes at my parents' house. This is when I called support service 2nd time. The same technician came and this time, I had video recording of everything. He could not dismiss this with simple "soap" theory, so he opens up the washing machine and tells me that it's due to bad control board. He proceeds to order new control board, which took a few weeks.

New technician comes back with new control board and installs, runs a few test command (not full cycle) and leaves. During this whole time, I'm left with no washing machine at home. Good thing I travel sometimes and laundry is done remotely sometimes. This repair didn't improve the situation much. I called them back for another appointment. Another technician comes back and tells me that Whirlpool sent back "BAD" control board. Now, I'm really suspecting their product is really piece of **. At least at this point, I was still happy with their service. He leaves my house claiming that they will order new control board and re-install.

A few days later, I receive a call from a lady, claiming that Whirlpool has instructed them to ask me to use different outlet, since they believe my outlet is causing issues. Now I'm really pissed. Coming from electrical engineering background, I know there's always any chance, but they should double check this with their own technicians. Anyways, I perform their recommendation, which I knew was a shot in the dark. During this whole ordeal, I'm working on a project that are out of state (CA). Not only do I have time to stay home for all these service visits, but I'm not even home to test my washing machine. During one of the holiday, I was able to take a few days off. This is when I decided to take different approach. I went to the retailer, whom I purchased my washing machine from. They were also nice, but there's so much they can do.

I called Whirlpool direct line to explain my situation, how unhappy I was, and to replace my washing machine. Their response was by the book: "We can only execute our warranty policy and replacement is not part of warranty." The representative specialist had enough nerve to ask me why I have not called back in several weeks and continue to repeat it as if it's my problem for not reporting back. I had spent 2 months of supports and 4 site visits, where I had to reschedule my work or take a day off, before travelling for projects after holiday seasons. This representative really took customer service to next level of hell.

In the end I'm without properly functioning washing machine for 4 months. I have to coordinate with my parents to use their washing machine when I'm back home. My advice, you should really think 3 times before buying Whirlpool washing machine or any other appliance. Also consider that you're on your own, when their product malfunctions, and you'll be sitting on dead appliances.

You cannot control anything on this machine. You cannot pre-fill to dilute detergent- you cannot choose temp because what you choose is changed by the machine (manual). You cannot choose your own combinations of temp, water volume, and timing. Once the ** thing starts you can't change anything, like the setting you wish to use. Do NOT BELIEVE THIS IS ENERGY EFFICIENT. There is a REASON that this machine has a 2nd rinse. It is because so little water is used that it does not allow soap, lint or dirt to have anywhere to go but back into your clothes. YOU have to trick it out to get enough water to actually get some loads truly wet. EVER! You stand there like an idiot opening and closing the lid just to get enough water to dilute the detergent. You can't pre fill and then add your detergent because, it needs to "sense" your clothes load. Won't fill with the lid open. You can't rinse the detergent cup out.

You only get to do what Whirlpool already knows about your needs. Oh & let's not forget the spin cycle. When you open the lid, large items like sheets will look like a pancake made from one of the sheets. However underneath will be a tangle of the rest of your wash worthy of a Gordian knot. You can yank your shoulders out trying to dislodge the clothes. Spin yes, I guess it did, I just didn't need permanent press wrinkles. And that's if you CAN actually open the lid. For some idiopathic reason the lid may be on lock. Good luck with that. Most often, you'll find no reason that you can discern like an unbalanced load or as the booklet suggests, you haven't figured out how to load a machine.

I hate the design of this so much that I called the company and they said that they would send a repair man out to see if it's working. What's he going to do? Run a couple of washes and say 'hey that's how they design these things'? They will not replace it. They do not stand behind their products. You are stuck with bad design period.

Describe Yourself: Frequent User. Service/Delivery: It came with a big dent in the dryer we bought with it. Installer dudes crossed the hot with the cold. Whirlpool will not stand behind the products they make & they make lots of the brand names. So they figure they can just do exactly what they want and you're screwed because even under warranty, they'll only fix the mess of engineering they designed in the first place. Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I finally had enough yesterday and knowing that the plumbing could be suffering (15 year old condo), purchased 2 Sioux Chief MiniRester, Model 660-H arresters (Lowe's at $9.99 each) and had a plumber install them today. I could have but am nursing a fractured rib. Long story short, they work perfectly. There is NO indication elsewhere in the unit that water is even entering the tub unless you're standing right beside it.

I've been told that hammer problems exist in ALL high efficiency washers, all are prone to this problem. I was also told by a Whirlpool support person that the Cabrio is a Samsung design and the pulsing of supply water off and on, over and over is 'normal operation.' If I had been informed when purchasing that hammer is a common problem, I would have installed arresters from the get-go. At the very least, manufacturers should include arresters as a part of the sale; installers should make sure that every new installation includes arresters. All told, I am out just under $200.00 for 'new technology' that really could have been engineered out in the beginning.

It leaves black linty looking streaks on all my white clothes, both inside and out and leaves white linty looking streaks on my darks, also both inside and outside. It DOES NOT REMOVE PET HAIR AT ALL! If you purchase one, and have long haired pets that shed, expect to invest in some lint remover. I'm on my third type in an attempt to save me time. I will say OxiClean laundry detergent seems to be the only detergent that actually cleaned the clothes. Sadly, stores around here stopped selling.

And whatever you do, DO NOT USE LAUNDRY PODS. It DOES NOT DISSOLVE THE HOUSING AND LEAVES SLIMY RESIDUE ALL OVER YOUR CLOTHES. I believe this is due to the fact that despite the setting, it uses little no hot water. Which would be great if it actually cleaned your clothes. I could run my clothes under a faucet with no soap and they would cleaner than this pos. Bottom line. Don't waste your money and if you do keep your expectations very low!

I hate this machine. I stress whenever I have to do laundry. The worse machine I ever owned. Stay away from it. It is a total rip off... I wanted to replace my front loader machine with a top loader. Based on good reviews at the time I purchased the Cabrio. Nothing gets clean. The detergent stays on the clothes and unless I use the Bulk senor. Otherwise I get horrible white marks on all the dark clothes. I can't even get the marks off with a wet rag. So washing only a few items I have to use Bulk. The sound is so bad from the machine, my dog runs in the closet and shakes. I feel so bad for her. How can a popular name like Whirlpool make such an inferior product? They don't even stand behind it. Customer service stinks. Never will I buy a Whirlpool product again. Now, I am trying to save up to buy a new machine. Shame on you Whirlpool.

I bought the Cabrio Platinum Set approximately 3 yrs ago. These is the worst products I have bought ever. The dryer didn't dry properly since day 1 w/the energy saver setting. I have always had to run a time dry in order to get properly dried clothing. Sometimes things still come out damp. The washer well the washer as I said the WORST product EVER. Approximately 3 yrs old and it leaks all over my laundry room unless surrounded by towels to suck up the water. During the wash it has the worst smell ever. And while spinning it jumps around and is so loud, you can hear it all through my 3 story home. We have complained we have written, emailed, called and have been offered nothing. I can honestly say I will NEVER buy another Whirlpool product again ever.

The least they could do is stand by their product. For the price of this set it should have lasted much much longer. I had a Kenmore washer and dryer set that we bought it was not even top of the line I would say probably a cheaper model of theirs that lasted 10+ yrs we bought it brand new and my friend bought it when I changed to a front loader which by the way was one of the cheaper ones but was still better than this piece of **. It started breaking about 1 yr after we bought it. We have already fixed a few things but will not spend another dime on it. Now it's not even cleaning. I now have to buy yet another washer. From what I have read either Whirlpool needs to up their game or just go out of business.

The dryer lint screen is located at the door base. This is placed incorrectly, in that if you have any lint on screen it attaches to wet clothes. The screen should be located at top of dryer for a less messy clean up process and away from your clothing.

I purchased a Cabrio Top Load Washer and Front Load Dryer four and a 1/2 years ago and have had nothing but trouble with them! The dryer needs to be run 2 cycles to get the clothes dry. In that time I have had a repairman come to the house 3 different times to look at the dryer, which cost me over $200. They have had to replace the belt and inner pulley and then the sensor harness. Recently when they came they tried replacing the coils. It continues to give me trouble drying the clothes and I am very dissatisfied with it. A few weeks ago the washer broke. I have had repairmen come to the house 4 different times. Multiple times there has been a problem with the spin and drain cycle. All of the water would not empty out. I would have to run the cycle again. They eventually replaced the actuator. I continued to have difficulties with the washer.

Then the machine got very loud when it would spin out sounding like a rocket was going to take off! The repairman came once again said it was the motor. When they returned with the parts and took the machine apart, the parts inside the machine had all corroded! The water had been leaking inside the machine, destroying it, and a black sticky buildup had formed! The machine was deemed unrepairable! I paid over $700 for each machine and am very upset about this. When I spoke to customer service they would not stand by their product because I didn't have the warranty anymore. After numerous phone calls I filed a complaint and gave a bad review of the support service and product that I received.

Weeks later they called me and offered to have me purchase another machine at half price! I had already bought another brand washing machine and I asked them to apply the amount toward what I had spent on the new one. They would not and insisted the only thing they could do would be to have me buy their washer at half price. I told them I lost faith in their product and didn't want another one. So, I would not recommend the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer, or Whirlpool products since they will not stand by them! I have pictures to prove what happened to the washer!

I bought a Whirlpool Dryer after reading an excellent review in Consumer Reports, despite it costing more than I wanted to spend. The first thing I noticed was a thump, thump, thump with every rotation of the drum. Then I realized that it took twice as long to dry my laundry as my 45 yr. old GE dryer, which only needed a belt, but which wasn't available anymore. I was disappointed in the Whirlpool's performance, but that was only the beginning. One night when the dryer was less than 3 months old, I was in bed for the night and I heard the familiar thump of the dryer running. I went downstairs and could not stop it as it did not respond to anything on the digital control panel. I finally unplugged it. I called Whirlpool and they sent a new control panel, but I had to pay the service man.

Not too long after that, the dryer heated up, but the drum would not turn. The serviceman said that it had come off track and he reset it. Shortly after, the door would not stay closed as the clamp that held it shut had fallen inside when I pushed the door closed. I replaced that. Then the drum continued to come disengaged because it was out-of-round. But, of course, the dryer was out of the 90 day warranty period too and a drum replacement would have cost more than the piece of junk was worth. So, I had it put back on for what I told myself would be the last time. Well, it was the last because the control panel went bonkers again and would go on by itself and only ran on one cycle if I plugged it in and unplugged it when it was done. I finally gave up and bought an inexpensive analog GE dryer which I never had any trouble with and dried the clothes in less time with less noise.

Well heck... who am I to judge the progress in technology?? So, going around to the used appliance store I run across this Whirlpool Cabrio. OK, Whirlpool meant quality my entire life. So, I bought it. MASSIVE MISTAKE!!! This POS is no washing machine. I don't know what it is, but it is NO washing machine! It is a machine that runs a very few gallons of water into a load of clothes and makes them wet, and that is about it!!

All I know is the federal government is dropping the ball on this situation BIG TIME!! To allow a company to foist off on consumers such a PILE OF JUNK!! The pile of crap is PURE junk as far as simply doing its job... washing clothes!! It is a DISGRACE of an American product, and I will NEVER buy anything made by Whirlpool the rest of my life!!

I took the device off the lid that tells it when the lid is closed, and just stuck it in its receptacle in the body... so I could raise the lid while it is running and watch this POS in action and try and figure out what the hell is going on. First big problem is it NEEDS an agitator!! Obviously Whirlpool had not figured out how to make the clothes circulate without one. Second is the water level (no matter what cycle setting) is obscenely LOW!! The clothes do not circulate AT ALL, and about 1/3 of them do not even get below water level for the entire cycle!! What I am forced to do is use a water hose and run a lot more water off into the tub just to get the clothes in the damn water!! And ever at that, the clothes still do not circulate AT ALL!! They just rub up against each other!! And I have to use twice as much soap than called for!!

Within two weeks of purchase, I had to call a service repair company as I was immediately having issues with the washer not draining. Being a front loader, this machine required using the appropriate HE detergent. I followed the instructions, used the appropriate products and had nothing but continuous problems.

It is a (lemon), and very frustrating, as it does not seem repairable. No serviceman could give an appropriate reason as to why the washer would not drain, nor could they figure out why. It didn't matter the size of the laundry load or the type of items...towels, jeans, or silky delicates...the washer failed at turning from the wash cycle to the drain cycle. It also leaked because of the lack of draining, and began building up a mold film and odor even though I consistently wiped it dry and left the door opened when not in use. I received no assistance from Whirlpool and was given the runaround and told I must be doing something incorrectly.

It said to disconnect the power for 1 minute and plug it back in, which I did. I repeated that process several times. Still nothing. It also said to call Whirlpool, which I did. They wanted the Model # WFW97HEXLO and Serial #, I gave it to the gal on the phone at Whirlpool. I was told it would be a week before they could get someone out there to take a look at it. Really!! I work 80 hours a week and live in the country. I don't have a week. When I asked where the service man was coming from, he was coming from another town.

I asked if there was someone closer. She gave me another appliance store's phone number. They showed up 2 business days later, looked at my washer, verified the code along with the Model and Serial #'s, telling me it was the control panel. I gave that information to them on a Friday, they showed up on a Tuesday. They knew what that code was and what it meant for that make and model washer, but there just had to be a service call in there. The part was ordered on that Tuesday... here it is the following Saturday and the part still isn't here.

I do not understand what takes Whirlpool so long to ship the part. Do they not care that in this hustle bustle life we live in, we don't have time to wait for a part that may or may not show up. Ship it overnight. That is an option. Making the parts accessible to the service people in a timely manner would make great customer-service. Better yet, how about going back to the 'old-style' washers. This high-efficiency non-sense is highly expensive.

I have an Admiral washer (made by Whirlpool) that was purchased December 2, 2010. I live alone and wash only for myself. Model ATW4475VQ1, serial# CO3323387. This means I have used it VERY little. About six months ago, I noticed that when you put it on "super" setting (for a large load), the water will slosh around and come out the bottom. I have had to resort to doing small loads. NOW I have a second problem: January 17, 2017 I took out a small throw pillow and noticed the stuffing was coming out. I figured it was just a cheap pillow.

Two days ago, I put in another pillow and when I took it out, the ENTIRE SIDE was slit open!!! I couldn't figure out how it got that way so I stuck my hand inside the drum. I noticed a strip of plastic that had shredded off the drum and was just hanging there (yes, and these drums are made of hard plastic!). I pulled on the plastic and a piece of it came off. THIS IS HOW MY PILLOWS GOT SPLIT OPEN, GETTING CAUGHT ON THE PIECE OF PLASTIC THAT WAS SHREDDED. I was extremely irate and called Whirlpool today (they make admiral washers). The representative told me unless I had a manufacturer's warranty (only 12 months from purchase) or extended warranty, there was nothing they could do. I didn't buy an extended warranty because I figured only washing for myself, it should last a long time - WRONG.

She then offered me to buy some other kind of warranty for almost $320 or get a service call for $90 and then pay for parts and labor. I explained to her that THE DRUM IS HARD PLASTIC & I could not understand how this would happen, that it just began to come apart! She said there was nothing I could do or no one I could contact. Moral of the story? DO NOT BUY ANYTHING MADE BY WHIRLPOOL - and they make a lot of things that you might not be aware of so check before you buy. And definitely don't buy an Admiral product!

The Whirlpool WTW7800XW3 Top Loader Washer has a manufacturing defect. The glass popped up and separated from the rear of the lid. Purchased 2011 (out of warranty). Called repairman. He discovered one of the lid springs on the rear side of the unit caused the problem. I called Whirlpool CS and the supervisor asked me what do I want Whirlpool to do about it since there was no recall on this particular model? There really should be a recall on all of the washers from Whirlpool esp. Cabrio type.

I really believe a scam is being perpetrated on the public. Lowe's, Home Depot and all online vendors need to stop carrying their products until they "clean up" their act. I will never buy anything with their brand or logo on it again. My wife is constantly complaining about the quality of wash we receive from this product. In fact, I hope that the Consumer Affairs Dept. of the US government put them out of business. I gave a rating of 1 star but you know that I wish I could have given a rating of 0 star. Really dissatisfied! RIPOFF! -- P.S. By the way, Whirlpool doesn't intend on correcting the problem because they don't care about customer satisfaction AT ALL!

I owned a Maytag washer for 30 wonderful years, so I of course bought a new one. I have battled with my Maytag (Whirlpool) front loading stackable top of the line washing machine for 2 1/2 years. It will not drain, yet sometimes it will. I have played every game with this machine to figure why. I had a repair company out 5 times while it was under warranty and they could never find the problem. It is totally unpredictable. If I could bill Whirlpool for my time and anguish I would own this company!

They now say it is the computer board and I will have to pay $350 for a new service contract to fix the machine. I not very politely said that they should pay me for all my emotional abuse. They offered me another option saying they would pay for a service company to come out and look again. However, I would have to pay the labor and material cost. Since I have a stackable unit and it would take 2 technicians I would have to pay $90 for the second person. I was so mad that I called Whirlpool back and they refused to offer me that $350 charge and just said sorry. I are fortunate to have a lake house which needs a new washer. Guess what? It will NOT be a Whirlpool product. I wish I could go to the store where I purchased this holy terror and picket!

Purchased washer and dryer combo on 07-08-2013. I have a family of just 2 now. Under normal conditions I thought the machine should last 12 to 15 years. After 2 years of service the bearing and seal on the tub failed, I had to order parts and rent a tool to install. Then after 3 years had to replace suspension kit for the tub. Now after 3 1/2 years the water drain pump has failed and the sensor on the motor is acting up. This machine listed for $800. I did not purchase extended warranty but I have repaired myself. If I had not repaired myself the cost would have exceeded the cost of new. I have now purchased another maker's model machine. I think Whirlpool should buy this machine back.

We bought this washer on 9/05/09. Recently, it sprung a leak due to a worn out seal that the repairman said would cost more to fix than just getting another washer. You would think this might be cause for distress, but I literally jumped in the air and clicked my heels with joy! This washer has been nothing but a pain. First of all, I have to pre-soak every load before washing or the clothes come out just as dirty as they went in. I would set the timer on my stove to let me know when the 40 min soak cycle ended so I could change it to wash. Then I reset the timer for another 40 minutes. I also learned the hard way, that using any kind of heavy duty setting would turn towels into a pile of yarn. This washer cost $998, and guilt is the only reason I didn't replace it years ago. Ding Dong the washer is DEAD!!!

My 15 year old front loader quit working and was going to cost more to repair than we thought was worth it. So, we went shopping at Home Depot and based on discussions with salespeople ended up with the Whirlpool cabrio toploader. What a mistake. I am so disgusted with this washer I don't even know where to start. If there was any way we could return it we would do so. The clothes come out wrinkled, twisted, absolutely covered in pet hair and detergent and fabric softener residue. Yes, I'm using HE detergent, in the correct amounts. Yes, I've read the manual front to back. Yes, I've tried all the troubleshooting suggestions. No, they don't make a damn bit of difference.

I would give anything to have my old front loader back. It was a great little machine that did a wonderful job of cleaning our laundry. Pet hair was washed off, I could lay things out to dry and they weren't all wrinkly and did not require ironing. Just about everything that comes out of this cabrio machine that I lay to dry needs to be ironed before it can be worn. It is just a horrible, horrible machine and Whirlpool should be ashamed of themselves for foisting this off on unsuspecting consumers.

I hate this washing machine (Whirlpool Cabriolet) with every ounce of my being. That may sound harsh when talking about a washing machine. But, I assure you it is warranted. I have owned many washers in my day. This machine came to me after a family member passed away. The machine was almost new and had not been used very much at all. I found out very quickly that in order to simply wash a load of laundry could take as much as four hours. Every time you go to do laundry you get continuous codes and alarms.

So it is a series of trips up and down the stairs to reset the machine, try to equalize the balance, and in many cases I have to unplug the machine and reset it all together. I have researched it extensively. And I have followed the instructions in the manual and from online instructional videos trying to resolve the multiple issues. I cannot wait to get an average everyday washing machine that is not too smart for its own good. I hate, hate, hate this machine!!!

My WTW4900BWO failed after about 2 1/2 years. Out of warranty, but I called Whirlpool Customer Service and was initially delighted that they offered to sell me a repair warranty that would cover the repair of my broken transmission. Was told that through AIG Insurance, I would have a repairman at the house "tomorrow to repair the washer". A few hours later, their contracted local repair service called to try to push appointment back a day but I refused since I was told my washer would be "repaired tomorrow".

They showed up the next day in a old faded van, diagnosed the problem and then told me they would have to get "authorization" and come back in 3-4 days. A couple of days later I received a voice mail from AIG saying that since the cost of repair was more than the cost of the premium, they were canceling my policy & would refund my money. So a week later I still had a broken machine and no solution other than buying a new one or paying the cost of a new one to repair. Moral of the story: Whirlpool builds unreliable washing machines (and water softeners) and their customer service will promise you a repair that may not happen. Don't buy Whirlpool, but if you feel compelled, you better buy an extended warranty and cross your fingers. That said, we always had purchased GE appliances and never had a problem.

I cannot adequately express my dissatisfaction with the Cabrio washer and dryer that I purchased couple years ago. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again. That includes Maytag; Kenmore; or Amana products. I have had nothing but problems from the start. The washer sounds like jet engine taking off in the spin cycle. I found out the washer needs new tub bearings ~ $200. The washer is tearing up towels during the wash cycle not sure what the cause is.

My washer will only wash clothes in certain cycles (bulk). I keep getting error codes in normal or other cycles. The washer takes long time to fill so it times out during fill cycle. I replaced fill lines and checked for blockage, everything was clear. The washer probably needs either new motherboard or water inlet valve. Not sure which, maybe both? It is impossible to wash a load of clothes without getting the "UL" unbalanced load indicator. I also have problems balancing the load. I have taken wet clothes out and put them back in with no luck. It takes hours for a load to finally wash.

The dryer has had its problems. I just replaced the belt tensioner on the dryer because it was making a terrible screeching sound. The noise was very annoying. I am very disappointed with quality of Whirlpool products. However, don’t worry about improving customer relations because I will never buy a Whirlpool product again. P. S. How come you have not issued product recall? There are 1,000's of similar complaints concerning the Cabrio washer. Frustrated customer.

Through extended warranty service purchased, a technician came out the first time; declared nothing explainable to cause the malfunction, re-calibrated the control panel, and off he went. This second event occurred much the same as the first; happened to walk in to notice water on laundry room floor and witnessed overflow out the lid on top. We have carefully washed additional loads after this second event without a similar malfunction. From my online research, this sure sounds like a faulty pressure switch not sensing high water level in the tub. Any other thoughts?

We bought the Whirlpool Cabrio forcibly when our 20-year-old top load whirlpool finally gave out. The Cabrio sucks. It does not get anything clean, it ruins clothes due to low water which creates friction, clothes are left wrinkly, smelly, pilled with lint, stinky and unclean. I've had it for a year and I've given every cycle a chance. It simply does not do what it is supposed to.

The HE washers are supposed to reduce water, but having to rewash everything several times with load times up to two hours not only increases the amount of water used but increases the amount of energy used. Our electric bill has gone up $30-55 a month on average. This doesn't even account for the fact that I'm spending nearly 16 hours a week doing laundry for a household of five. That's nearly triple the time I used to spend on laundry. From having to pretreat even the most minor stains to spending hours trying to get the wrinkles out, and having to remove pills of lint, to the fact that one wash cycle does not get the odors out nor the dirt out therefore multiple cycles are required.

I honestly think I might spend less time if I hand wash everything, I certainly would get them clean and deodorized. UNFORTUNATELY Government regulations force the consumers to buy HE washers so our choices for clean deodorized clothes are non existent. If I had to do it again I would buy a used non-HE washer knowing it would run another 10 years and actually get my clothes clean.

Then noticed it was taking longer for clothes to wash and sometimes the water did not completely drain. Called for Service under LOWE'S warranty (the worst people to deal with). Tech comes removes a penny and dime and tells me that is the problem. Leaves. 45 minutes after he leaves there is the noise again. Call and set up for this Service Company to come back. Even though they went out of business prior to the appointment Lowe's Service would not listen to me and insisted I stay home ALL DAY for someone who did not show up. Repeated calls to the Service Company resulted in nothing - phone disconnected.

So finally after much frustration I am given new appointment with new Service Company - PARRISH. Tech comes in here five minutes and wants to know the sound, I explain. He checks out the unit and tells me it is a major problem and the part and labor will be costly. Best if they just replace the machine. His added comment - I see a lot of this. So if this machine is such a problem why was it not recalled? I am getting a replacement as I have warranty and machine was not a year old when problem started. Lowe's Service Contract is another problem but I will deal with that later.

We purchased this combo from Lowe's; checked my account and saw we were double charged! Got the charge adjusted; jeez. Bought this size to do comforters and large loads, but nothing large gets completely wet. Our clothes started to mildew as Affresh does not work. I'm allergic to mildew and got headaches. The mechanic said this mildew is because all the action is under the basin and you don't want to see how black it is under there. It began to leak as buildup went into the bleach dispenser, and it turned black.

He said to run a gallon of white vinegar in the clean cycle once a month, and this did work. I did a clean out with Castile peppermint soap, several white vinegar treatments, and got rid of the mildew and the (clog related) leak. I now use Molly's Suds powder. I was shocked to read on the Molly's site that mfg does not have to list all the terrible ingredients in commercial detergent, which is not helping you or the machine.

I bought a top of the line Whirlpool front load washing machine (WFW97HEDW0) and drier with my new construction house. After a few months the washing machine began making a loud, banging noise during the spin cycle. Then about a month before the 1 year was up the unit broke and dumped all the water in the drum into the catch pan it was installed on. I called for service and someone showed up in about 3 days. The tech opened the unit and found that the plastic/composite drum the spin unit was contained in split in half all the way around. The tech exclaimed he had never come across this issue and would report in what he found but that he did not have the part and it would most likely be a whole new unit but that it's up to whirlpool to make the call. I would find out that whirlpool had decided that the unit can be fixed and they have ordered the part and would call to schedule the repair.

A week went by, with no word. I called warranty service company, Via Services, and they tell me that the part is on back order and that it would be two more weeks before it would come in. Now we're looking at being without a washing machine for a month. I communicate this to the builder and they somehow get whirlpool to come out a week earlier than they said they could. The day came for the repair and two techs take nearly 8 hours to repair the unit (how is this efficient?).

After the repair the unit ran with an odd noise that I attributed to the way it was stacked. A month goes by and two days after the 30 day repair warranty I go to do a load of laundry and the unit turns on but won't run. I called for warranty work because it was clearly not repaired sufficiently. I schedule a tech visit which is for a week after. The day come and the tech says he can't fix the unit without charging me for the repair because it is now out of warranty and if I have the extended warranty then I need to set that up with the extended warranty group. I send him away because I had just paid for the extended warranty. I called whirlpool for the extended warranty work and they schedule a repair contractor to come out in 3 days.

The repair contractor calls me directly to confirm if the unit is side by side or stacked. I let them know that the units are stacked and they say they can't repair it because it's a two tech job and they don't have enough techs. They send me back to talk to whirlpool. Whirlpool then notifies me that because it's stacked I have to either unstack it myself or hire someone to unstack it for me. Well, I can't unstack the unit by myself and why should I have to pay someone to unstack it when that's what the unit was designed for? At this point I am going back and forth with the builder to get a refund so I can replace the unit. I will forever steer clear of any whirlpool or subsidiary products. The products are flimsy and the service is no better.

If it senses the water getting too hot, it adds cold water to bring the wash temperature back down to 78 degrees F. My landlord purchased a new Amana washer (NTW4605EW0) Labor Day weekend 2015. It started having issues in the spring, so we went through the process of utilizing the manufacturers warranty. Apparently, Amana, part of Whirlpool, requires 5 attempts at repairing the machines before replacing. Okay, so starting in June 2016, we arranged service appointments 5 times and replaced 1 part, then another, 4 times. Clearly, that part is defunct. Right?

Fast forward to September and then into October. Get a new washer, and not the one I preferred. We got the Whirlpool WTW4816FW1. Before the installers leave, we are having the SAME issue. Stops midcycle, doesn't finish cycle, sometimes stops while filling, or while full, or kid wash, or mid drain... But now with the new washer, the drain and spin cycle thinks it should FILL instead of drain... and Whirlpool said they would get someone out the next day, a promise they cannot keep because they don't supply the repair guy, they source with local companies.

So, the company ordered 3 parts... That could be the problem. And 4 days later, 2 parts are on freaking BACK ORDER. Parts arrive. All new parts replaced. Machine still doesn't work. Outlet tested by us and them and it is fine. The techs think there is some kind of RF interference. Turn off sensor light, which is on the same wall, unplug power to wifi router (which outdates the washer). Still, doesn't work.

I have spent half my week, every week, since June, restarting my washer, unplugging the damn thing, waiting, and waiting, trying again and again and again to wash 2 loads of laundry a week... Literally takes a week until the damn thing does its job. Whirlpool is sent us a replacement washer. Can you guess what happened the first time we started it? SAME ISSUE. Cycle will not complete. Sometimes it dies before it even fills. Sometimes it dies while filling. Sometimes, it will fill and fill and drain and fill and fill and drain and... never stop filling. Or, the fun one, the drain and spin cycle thinks it is suppose to fill. Continuously. And then, suddenly, after unplugging it for 1 hr, or 24, or 72 hrs, it will work fine for 1-7 cycles. Nothing is consistent except that it doesn't work consistently. HAS ANYONE HAD THIS MUCH TROUBLE???
