    We bought Viking 12 years ago in our remodel. We like the size of the Viking refrigerator. I had to buy a new one because my old one never really worked. We spent $4,000 repairing it, and it didn't make sense anymore. I had a hole that I had to fill. So, had I been able to find a different refrigerator that would have fit in that hole, I would not have gotten the Viking. The fridge has been great, but I don't like the new model at all. It's smaller. It's not as deep. It’s very not functional. If I could return it and buy something different, I would.

    We bought a number of appliances from Viking. They had the best range of appliances for what we needed and the best price. The refrigerator is all right. There are some issues with it, but it's an acceptable appliance. They haven't improved it. The last refrigerator of theirs we had was 22 years old, and there hasn't been a whole lot of improvements in 22 years. The doors are not well-designed. The freezer is not well-designed, particularly the ice maker. The way it is designed, the ice falls down in the back and the bottom of the fridge. The ice gets stuck in the arms, so it doesn't eject, so that it doesn't make more ice. You have to reach in there and manually eject it.

    The fridge has got the water tap inside and I'm used to having it outside. Also, the ice is outside. But it's great. It's high quality. I bought the fridge online and by telephone with my representative, Craig, at Ferguson. It was dropped off and then, the general contractor installed it and screwed everything up. But we got it straightened out. The electrician and the installers of the general contractor botched everything on the range and dishwashers. There was a little something wrong with the range but it was fixed by warranty by Viking.

    I purchased a 33 inch new Viking refrigerator in 2018 for a new construction. I did not start using it until 2020. In the last 4 years I had 4 service calls spending about $2500.00. Now the service company says it needs a new coil as the Freon may be leaking and will cost anywhere $2500 to $3500. I told them that I will junk the refrigerator and buy something else, other than Viking. Will never recommend Viking to anyone.

    When it works, it's great. I love the feel. However, my Viking refrigerator broke after 6 months so I don't feel very good about the quality at all. The door and the switch that lets the refrigerator know if it's open or closed broke. Viking has you reach out to an independent service provider then they'll connect you with a local rep but that rep never comes back. My dishwasher and range are broken too. Their customer service that I've been dealing with is tearing my family apart because everything is broken and it takes so much time. We got them through Best Buy and that was horrible as well. With the pandemic supply chains, everything took long and it was also trying to figure things out with Best Buy. They have zero customer service in regards to that.

    The Viking refrigerator is the worst I ever had. This is the second one because they couldn't fix the first one. It was broken for months and they tried replacing parts. Finally, they were gonna start replacing parts again. I said, "Stop, just give me a new refrigerator." It was since before Thanksgiving until three months later, and finally, we got a new refrigerator. The team at Viking was really nice, and I know they wanted to fix it but it took forever. Every time they come out, they replace a part. Then, "Oh, it's not it. We gotta order another part." We waited a couple more weeks and they would say, "Oh, that's not it." The whole process was messed up. They were not thinking about, "Oh, you don't have a refrigerator? You're living without a refrigerator while I take all this time to try to fix it." I mentioned that and Viking gave us some money to rent a refrigerator. So, we ended up doing that.

    For refrigerators, I'd recommend a different brand. Considering the amount that we spent on our new Viking refrigerator, I expected more quality out of it. When it was installed, the door seals around the doors were uneven. The unit is also starting to make a weird vibration noise, and I can't place where it's coming from. I need to get with a provider, but I'm not sure exactly who can fix it because it is under warranty.

    I like the refrigerator. I like the water in the door and where the cold water is inside. I also like the ice container. It's a good size and I like the action on it. It feels substantial. But Viking should increase the warranty on it to five to seven years, which is what you can get with other companies. Sub-Zero gives a better warranty.

    Viking has always been very reliable. I used to build restaurants and all of our equipment was Viking. However, it took me so long to get the refrigerator and I had to pay so much for it I figured Viking owes me because I've had nothing but problems with it. I've had it two and a half years and it's broken down three times. It's an inferior product now. They've got good ideas on it, but they build it with inferior electronics. I didn't expect Viking to go out within a year and be an electronic problem with thermistors and the sensor side of it. I replaced the ice maker three times 'cause the quality sucks. But the refrigeration side is smart the way it does and it cleans the air. You don't have to vacuum them out.

    They say it has a three-year warranty but it doesn't. It has a two-year warranty. Viking used to have a 15-year warranty, top to bottom. Now, it's garbage. You can't even get anybody to work on it. Everybody I talked to down in Mississippi was very perfunctory in their resolutions of how to do things but the responsiveness was ridiculous. What normally should take two days took a month. I ended up having the dealer because all of the people that Viking recommended were outrageous and the paperwork that Viking does is very archaic.

    Viking was one of the few that offered the size I needed with an over-under refrigerator and I love the quality so far. For a 36-inch built-in fridge, it has a lot of space and I like the drawers because they're easy-close drawers. Also, the doors have magnets. Things don't fly out when you open the doors because the doors stay closed. If you're going for a professional appliance that is built-in, Viking is a better bang for the buck versus some of the others.

    I bought a home that the builder purchased the appliances, and I do not like the Viking refrigerator. The quality is not there. In my previous home, I had a Sub-Zero and I'm going to replace it with one. The Sub-Zero has a sturdy door, and Viking refrigerator's door does not compare. The interior drawers for fruit or vegetables are very small as well.

    Viking seemed like it was a good brand of restaurant quality and made in the US, which was important. We've only had the refrigerator for less than a month installed. I like it. I got it because it has a flat front and the water is on the inside. And I love the ice maker in the freezer and not on the door. The door is open and shut. Everything feels sturdy. The freezer door is heavy. And so far, everything seems a very high quality.

    We had a Viking and it broke. I thought it would last longer. We didn't use it a lot. So, I replaced it with another Viking. We got the same one. The only difference is the stainless steel door fronts. And they were like a BOGO that if you purchased it, you got a 17-piece cook set. The rep knew exactly the size for the built-in. He looked it up, found it, and gave me that great BOGO deal. The fridge would last more than 10 years.

    I like the size and space that the Viking Refrigerator occupies. It is fine. But we also bought a dishwasher and that was four months ago and we never received it. We're disappointed, overall, with the way that it's servicing that.     Our kitchen is all Viking. We had a Viking refrigerator for 18 years that was beautiful but it decided to stop working right before Thanksgiving and Christmas five years ago. So, we got this new one. We paid $10,000 for it because it had to fit right in the specific spot, and then the price for tax and shipping. It was very expensive. We also had to pay for the guys to install it. The problem is we've had it not very long and all the LED lights went out. They came in and put new LED lights in, but for some reason, they used the caulking that turned it all yellow. The lights went out again and they pulled them out and replaced a couple instead of a bunch of strips. Then we just had someone come out. The guy came out recently because the defrosting for the refrigerator stopped working for the freezer. So, it made the refrigerator not work.

    It's a horrible refrigerator. The other day, I had a soda explode in the refrigerator portion because it's too cold. It's too late now to even do anything and we're probably gonna get our kitchen remodeled, but we're not too interested in using Viking again. It's been a nightmare. It never has worked from day one. It's pretty, but we had to have one of the drawers replaced because the whole drawer and the assembly are all plastic. They don't make them like they used to. The guy we spoke to at Viking to replace the drawer was very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful.

    Everybody’s been really helpful. It’s just the actual product is sucky. We had to pay 350 for a plastic drawer. It’s dumb. As far as the Viking contractors, they are very rough and tumble, but they get the work done. They know what they're doing. They're very experienced. We're thankful that they would do that work, but they're not the sweetest guys you've ever met. They're very knowledgeable though, and we love that. Viking has been responsive. We might just have gotten a lemon.

    My experience with Viking so far has been okay, but a little complicated. The delivery was fine except the computer inside the first refrigerator didn't work, so we had to have it returned and get another one sent out. After we got the second one sent out, the people who did the delivery refused to put in the grill pieces, so we had to do that ourselves. Within a week of getting the new refrigerator, something went wrong with the door close mechanism, so we had a Viking serviceperson come out for the minor repair. The refrigerator seems a little delicate and like it's gonna be a bit high maintenance, but hopefully, it will last a long time and be fine.

    This French door version is gonna be a little finicky because the door close on the right-hand side involves this piece that swings out and catches, but it's fine. Overall, we're happy with it. It's a nice-looking refrigerator and no other complaints about that. It's also nice to open just one side of the refrigerator instead of opening both doors, but because of the way the drawers are, I have to open both sides to open the drawers within the refrigerator. If those drawers had been divided, then I could do more with just one side. Another thing I don't like is that the price went down shortly after we bought the refrigerator, and that makes me a little nervous that they're going to discontinue it or do something that's gonna cause it to be harder to care for.

    I purchased a home with a Viking refrigerator, and the quality is low from my experience. I've had part of it break already. There's a magnetic piece that is in-between the two doors to create a seal and that's broken. I've also had issues with the ice maker. When I pull the freezer door out, ice falls out of the back of the freezer and I have to pick up ice every other time I open up the freezer, which is frustrating.

    When I called in to see what could be done, Viking said that I need to have it repaired by somebody local and that it wouldn't be covered under any kind of warranty for the product, which is also frustrating. The ice piece has not been repaired. Meanwhile, I've had to repair the magnetic piece on several occasions as well as purchase parts myself. It hasn't been the easiest from a consumer relationship perspective, and I would suggest people look at other options.

    I was replacing a Viking that had gone bad. The guy came to fix my old refrigerator and that didn't work. He didn't do the right thing and didn’t know what to do. He got an inverter. He had trouble getting Viking to respond and said that if I called them directly, I'd probably get good service. I called Middlesex and they sent it instantly. They were awesome. My refrigerator is beautiful. It made noises at first but now, it doesn't. So, it seems fine. I was very pleased with the response from the dealer and Viking honored what they said they would do.

    In mid-December, they said they would have it at the end of January and they did. I got the pots and pans special and those came very quickly after that. They're wonderful. I love the lights that are on the sides of the inside of the refrigerator. You open that thing up and it's light and bright. I like it a lot. I've got a Viking stove I like and a Viking cooktop, which probably I need to have fixed. It's not quite right but it's quite complicated to fix it. I don't like that idea.

    The same Viking refrigerator I had before was in the door, water and ice, and it was a terrible design. The pipe was too small for the water, so it froze all the time and the ice got clogged in the actuator that gets it from the bucket to the door into your glass. Even the technicians that fix it told me that it was a poor design. So, I went with one that has no water in the door and no ice in the door now. It keeps the food cold and frozen. I prefer the way the ice machine is now compared to the last one.

    The refrigerator sounded like a small lawn mower when it turned on when it first got here. It was really, really, really loud. So they had them come out and they replaced the fan and did some things, and it's a lot better. So that was okay. Originally, I was putting in my warranty calls for my Viking appliances through the dealer. But after about the third time, I started calling Viking directly because I wanted to figure out what was going on here and they have been spectacular as far as customer service goes. They've been really communicative. I don't wait long on the phone. As we're talking about it, we're sending emails back and forth, and it gets pretty much all wrapped up by the time I hang up. So, they've been really, really good. But Viking gotta tighten up their manufacturing quality.

    Six months ago in June, we bought from a third-party dealer here. I've been trying to contact Viking because we were told that we would qualify for a rebate in the appliance place where we purchased the refrigerator. So, we went ahead and got that refrigerator thinking that we would get a $1,100 back. They gave us the cashback paperwork, told us how to send it back in and do that. But when we started that process, we were told by Viking that we didn't qualify for that rebate. I'm touching back base with it again. And it turned out because K & N Appliance gave us a discount on that refrigerator, I did not know it would disqualify us from getting that rebate. That was an unfortunate experience. But Viking got back with me about that. They said that we needed to take that up with the appliance place, which I could understand it was not Viking’s fault that we were under false pretenses with the appliance store.

    I saw one Viking refrigerator at the showroom. This was at Designer Appliances, and the one that was delivered was different because it was a newer model, apparently. I liked the old model, frankly. Also, I was not informed that I needed to have the kick plate as an accessory. My assumption was that kick plate came with it. The scooper in the ice machine is really cheesy and it broke the first time we used it. It was surprising for something that has the Viking name on it. We had to replace that with something more robust. The other issue is that the handle on the freezer comes loose. It fell off the other day and I was able to just put it back on, but it seems not very stable. I'm waiting to hear back on a rebate from Viking Refrigerators and I haven't heard anything. Other than those, they delivered the refrigerator right away after I ordered it and the people who delivered it were great. Also, the freezer door drawer has a nice depth. The last one I had wasn't as deep.

    The Viking refrigerator is not of good quality. When the fridge was delivered to me, the front doors were totally upside down. They were not aligned to each other. One door was a little up, while the other was a little low. Also, I paid $900 for the installation when I purchased the fridge. These are the cabinet fridges, so there is a jack at the bottom of the fridge to align it and the guys who came for the installation broke the jack of the fridge. Now, the fridge is not aligned at all.

    I had to book an appointment with some service providers, and they took one and a half months to come and fix the door alignment. Still, they are going to come next month because they did not fix everything. When I asked them to fix the fridge alignment, they said, "No, it's not part of that because the people who installed the fridge broke the jack at the bottom." I have the installation receipt, but I don't know where to catch these guys. Now, I'm paying the service provider $990 to replace the jack. After paying for installation, I have to pay again to fix what the installers broke on the fridge. The next appointment the service provider gave me is Feb 13th. So, still, my fridge is not fully installed.

    I have all the documents, and the service provider took all the pictures. The guy told me that I should complain to Viking about how the installation was done and what was broken. I have a report from the service provider who came for the warranty as well. It was a bad installation. He never saw this kind of installation for such an expensive cabinet fridge. I will never recommend to anyone to buy this fridge at all because the installation is a pain.

    We liked what we saw when we went into the showroom. We had a problem with the refrigerator. The door wouldn't close completely. Viking Refrigeration sent a service technician out to do warranty work. He looked at it and said that the bottom cage had been bent. When we got back with Viking on that, they said it was probably bent when we were installing it. . And it wasn't their fault. Not very nice. I couldn't prove otherwise because I didn't unbox it for nine months. So, we went round and round. They would not send us another one. I couldn't live with a piece of equipment that the door didn't close. So, I just bought another one. Close to $15,000.

    I took it out into the garage. I called the service people to come out and fix it. We now have that in the garage. Since I bought the big 36-inch Viking refrigerator, its counterpart freezer. I bought a microwave oven, a conduction stovetop and the hood, a double oven, with the opening drawers, a washing machine, two other small drinks refrigerators, and two warming ovens. So, it came to a pretty penny. And Viking still stiffed me. I'm not happy with it.

    The design of our Viking Refrigerator is great. However, the quality is not what I expected. We've had a lot of issues with it already. The freezer bins broke right off the bat. The displays that let you control the temperature weren't working. With the oven, it sometimes doesn't heat up. We've been back and forth with them on that. They came out. I haven't had any more issues with the refrigerator. They replaced something in the oven. But I'm still having the same problem. I'm not as happy as I was hoping considering the amount of money I spent on it.

    A Viking refrigerator was already in the house, and then we replaced it with the same kind. We've had tons of issues. The fan would overheat, go out, and freeze up. You have to let it thaw out. Then they had to finally have to replace the fan and the heater. Four of the lights on the inside of the refrigerator on the left-hand side went out, and they had to replace those. There's only one person in Dallas that would work on the refrigerator, and they were two months out to even get somebody over to look at it. I love the refrigerator, but it went out four times. It's a good thing I have another refrigerator in the garage that saved all the food twice. Every Viking refrigerator should come with a spare GE refrigerator for the garage.

    I always wanted a Viking Appliances since I worked as a young chef. The stoves & ovens are great and I wanted the Double door oven. When I finally bought my dream home and my Mom gave me some money before she passed. I bought Viking appliances. The oven a range are great and I would recommend them but the refrigerator and dishwasher are sad and I think Viking needs to revamp them or pull them the market.

    Refrigerator: After 4 months I noticed one of the front clear panels cracked, then the ice maker draw handle broke, then another drawer clear panel cracked. Then a crack at the bottom panel side wall. I now have a very expensive fridge that has cracked drawers a looks terrible. No warranty and replacements are extremely overpriced for the poor quality.

    Dishwasher: the dishwasher does not clean well. I have had several others dishwashers at a quarter of the price that work clean so much better. I have also had pieces on the top draw break off. It seems to have similar quality issues as the fridge. It’s seems like both of these appliances were after thoughts to make kitchen full packages. I think Viking should be ashamed to put this type of quality out when in my opinion they had (had) such a great reputation. One that made me dream of getting a Viking for 20 years. That view has changed.

    A couple of years ago, after COVID, supply chain was a mess. But Viking tried to do as best they can. And recently, they've been very good. It was our second dealing with the appliance store that we did and installation on everything that we've had has been fine. The refrigerator that was in the house was a Viking. So, he had to fit it in the space and that was a one big thing. But the new one seems to be way better than the old one. It's very quiet. The lighting inside is nice. And we went with a model that doesn't have an ice dispenser in the door, which is smart because the other one did and they looked like they don't hold up. That's an engineering fault there. Other than that, it was a good experience. I would recommend Viking without reservation.

    We bought a house and moved in and it already had a Viking and we liked it. It's custom fit in our kitchen and Viking has the only size refrigerator that'll fit. We like our Viking refrigerator and it's a good refrigerator. The one we had was about 20 years old and we like the improvements on the new one. It has the metal shelves instead of plastic. It also has better lighting and it has extra shelves and a different configuration and even though it's the same size, it seems to be able to be more functional. The size is fine for us. There are just two of us. If we still had our kids living here, it might be a little small, but we do have a separate refrigerator in the garage that we use for all the beverages, water and all that kind of stuff and bigger items.     2023/12 My Viking side-by-side refrigerator freezer caught on fire near the icemaker, it is approximately 2 1/2 years old, The warranty ended September 2023. I called the Viking 1888 phone number to request help and to ask if there has been a recall, they told me no recalls on my refrigerator freezer and that it is out of warranty. With further research I found that Viking had a recall between 2014 to 2016 for freezers that catch on fire. I find it very difficult to believe that the Viking hotline had no interest in discussing or solving solving this problem.

    Let me warn you, the flame must’ve been so big that it melted much of our ice, melted the plastic, and left black suit on the back of the freezer, across the entire ice tray and on the ice tray drawer and shelf. I have no clue how it happened or why it happened but I have taken photographs of the area and damage. I strongly believe that Viking should reach out to me, recall and replace my refrigerator freezer So they can study it and figure out why it happened. This is obvious a safety fire hazard and Viking should reach out to me as soon as possible. Kimo

    I've had a lot of problems with my Viking fridge. The fridge freezes things. It doesn't have a good flow. There's some problem with the circulation because it freezes the back of the fridge so I lose eggs all the time. They came out and replaced this part. When I came back to have it fixed again later, it was like, "There's nothing wrong with it. Just rearranged things." But I've had a French-door fridge before and that didn't do it. I set up my fridge the same way and that didn't happen. I haven't been totally happy with that situation.

    The thing that is a serious flaw is the freezer has the ice maker in the bottom and every time you open that drawer, if there's a certain amount of ice, it flies all over the drawer. Whenever I take things out, there's a ton of ice under and it's like you lose ice and it makes a mess. When I got it, I liked the idea of no dispenser on the outside because I felt like that was a mess. But, I realized this was a mess.

    I'm very dissatisfied and disappointed because the price point is thousands of dollars more. I love to cook. I'm someone who uses that stuff all the time. It gets more use with me than other households. But it's been very stressful. The fridge is flawed in the way it's made. The components that Viking is using now are all cheap, lightweight plastic, and that wasn't the case. It's funny because when I called one time and said, "I'm having a lot of problems. These components flip off and come off like in the dishwasher." I told the guy, "I had a Viking before. This is just not the weight of that Viking at all." He said, "We're trying to reduce the carbon footprint by making things lighter so that when they travel, they don't use as much gas." It could make sense to somebody. But I'm not an idiot.

    But they were kind enough at Viking to replace all the parts because I was having so much trouble even after the warranty and I had proved to them that I was already having trouble within the warranty too. They did a thing where they paid for all the parts. I just had to pay for the installation, which was also expensive. But I appreciate it because we've got a warranty.

Because of that, we have had problems with it getting too cold in the fridge and things freezing, even though it's set correctly. They had been out there to look at it. They tried to repair it and they put in a new part. We haven't had a problem with the freezing, but they never could realign it and they said that was the problem of the people that installed it and those individuals never fixed it.     A little piece has already broken off somewhere in the freezer, which I'm not too happy about. But other than that, the refrigerator seems to be operating great. I liked that the drawers closed automatically. If you close them partway, they will finish closing on their own. It's like a soft clothes drawer in a cabinet. The refrigerator was really pricey for what it is. There are less expensive options out there. But I'm banking on reputation and hoping that it will pay off in the long run. Viking offered a special deal when we bought the refrigerator. If we bought one, we got a free small appliance with it. So we got a free dishwasher with it, which was great because our other dishwasher died right out. The process of registering it was a little weird online. It was very clunky. I wasn't sure it took my online registration but they're fine.

    I would have liked the dealer to be a bit more proactive. I was the only one calling and asking when the fridge was coming in. If they're making a commission off the sale of a high-end appliance, they should contact me before I contact them. Also, Viking got me a repair guy that I wouldn't rave about. The crisper drawer wasn't straight across so they got me a new front of that. When the tech came to change it, he didn't know how to get it off and he was breaking plastic all over the place. He didn't even put down a blanket. I wouldn't have had him breaking the plastic like that all over my kitchen because it could be flying on my counter where I prepare food.

    Also, the cable that runs around the freezer drawer broke after week one. Viking got me the same repair company and I wasn't thrilled. I asked, “Should I take everything out of my freezer?”. The tech said, "No you don't have to." I wound up taking everything out of my freezer. So in the last five months, I've taken everything out of my freezer six times.

    Other than that, I've had nothing but a good experience with my Viking fridge. It's top-of-the-line. I love the French doors of the refrigerator on the top with the French doors that I can open everything up. My favorite is the deli drawer that's the whole width of the refrigerator. I also like that I can turn the ice cube maker on and off.

    Our Viking refrigerator is a shallow-depth refrigerator-freezer combo. It's supposed to be used like a built-in. It's not huge by any stretch, so the storage isn't excellent. But the icemaker works great and is not overly loud. Viking Refrigerators are no hassle. They feel solidly built except for the interior fixtures. I had one of the side doors break off, not from any impact or being stuck. It looked like the plastic had aged in some way that was defective. So, the hinge or slot that tucks into where it's supposed to go had turned into some sort of plasticky powder and it detached from the side door, so we had to replace it. That was a little frustrating because they’re supposed to be fancy refrigerators. Also, it was the very bottom shelf, so it didn't even have anything in it. So, there wasn't any reason for its departure from functionality. They're so much more expensive than other brands but it doesn't seem any better or different than our last refrigerator.

The ice maker was leaking, it was freezing, and the temperatures were off. It was a nightmare. They brought me a new one and then the thing doesn't shut off and makes sounds all day long. One of the repair guys said that maybe if I put a bunch of bottles of water in the refrigerator, it'll help keep the temperature even. It was insulting. Now, they're taking this one out and they're getting me a different refrigerator. They're gonna get me a Thermador and I'm hoping the Thermador is not a cheap made one. I will never recommend Viking again. I'm very disappointed.

    When we had to go get a new refrigerator, the only one that we could find that was even halfway available was a Viking, and it took over a year to get it delivered. It's not a pretty refrigerator. The screws are apparent on the sides of the doors. The door shelves are not nearly as deep as other refrigerators. The only reason that we bought the Viking was because it was black. It has to be black. The others were much more superior refrigerators, except they were stainless steel. We also complained to the dealer about when they installed it into the opening that we had available from the old refrigerator. It didn't fit right. They had to come back and try to adjust it to fit properly. They weren't real cooperative. They were complaining and made me feel like we were nasty people. For a $17,000 refrigerator, which I should have had a different refrigerator for only $12,000, I felt I was screwed.

    I built a house and had my cabinets designed around my 48" Viking side-by-side fridge. We moved in Aug 2022. The fridge wouldn't hold a temp under 70 degrees. After countless tech visits and upset calls/emails Viking finally replaced my fridge in Jan 2023. Since I've had to replace the ice maker and the door stops 3 times. The doors are very heavy and Viking has a cheap cement flimsy door stop that snaps if a kid pulls the door open too fast! My tech said this is a known problem and it's expensive to keep replacing.

    I'm currently under warranty, but that ends soon and it will be my dime. Many customers are unhappy and Viking doesn't care! I asked why they don't fabricate a solid stainless steel stop that works and they just say they don't offer that!!! I would NEVER recommend Viking. We worked hard to get our forever build. Before I bought my fridges at Sears for $900 and never had a problem...Viking you should be ashamed with what you put your customers through! Have some pride and fix your known issues!

    The house we purchased had a Viking refrigerator in it, and we had it until about a year ago. It was just failing. It was a 2000 model, and it lasted forever. That longevity drove us back to the same product. Plus the size. The specific place that it fits in in the kitchen is custom, so we have choices of Viking and Sub-Zero. The refrigerator is a 48-inch, and they have that specific size. We went to Nebraska Furniture Mart and the price was horrible, but Viking had some good rebates. That was processed, and Nebraska made it easy for us.

    The price on those big refrigerators is like college education. People can have a semester at school or they can have a refrigerator. However, I'd tell people, "Hey, if you have a big refrigerator you need to buy and it's gonna cost you a lot of money, get that one." Viking is gonna last longer. I've had a Sub-Zero refrigerator before, and I didn't like it. I thought. “Oh, it'll last forever,” but then we paid all that money and it froze up all the time.

    I was in the special event industry and Viking was a product that we carried for commercial ovens. I like the product. It's very durable and good quality. So, when we were designing our kitchen, we looked towards Viking appliances. But purchasing ours was long and arduous. It was at the time right after COVID, where lead times were very long. We ordered our stuff at the end of 2021 knowing that we had a long lead time, and they didn't come in until early '23. But that timing happened to work for us. Outside of that, they've been fine.

    The icemaker is way sensitive. The ice gets stuck. And every couple of days, I gotta reach in and free out a piece of ice because it would stop making the ice if there was a piece stuck. But the freezer combo has been good. One thing that I didn't realize when we picked it out was there's a space where you could take a full box of pizza and slide it underneath the shelf, which was a very cool feature.

    This house was built in '07 and the Viking refrigerator we had here stopped working. We had to call a repairman and the repairman said, unbeknownst to us, that we have to maintain the Viking. We have to take the top part off and clean all that out. I've never had a refrigerator that needed "maintenance." The $12,000 refrigerator died and when we were trying to buy another one, the dimensions would only perfectly fit another Viking of the exact same model. We were cursed and that was the only one that was in stock that would fit. We shopped everywhere and tried to get anything but a Viking, but there was no opportunity to do that. Also, we had to buy a small refrigerator to tide us over. It was a pretty disappointing experience with our Viking refrigeration.

    Before that, we had to spend $1,100 on the door because it was broken and it wouldn't close. Also, a bunch of shelving had already broken but it wasn't that old of a unit at the time. We bought $1,100 worth of drawers and shelving on the door only to throw all of that away because we needed a whole new unit. The level of disappointment in Viking is astronomical. They put out a very attractive product but while it's attractive, it's not quality workmanship. The icemaker is poorly designed. It overfills so when you pull the drawer out, the part that hangs down that tells the unit to keep making ice gets stuck behind the ice that is in the drawer. When you pull it out, the back is cut out because some of the unit is behind there and the ice invariably falls into the lower parts of the freezer.

    It wasn't the greatest experience with Viking. I feel like they weren't really communicating the delays. I had to reach out myself every so often and then the sales rep forgot to order a piece for us or let us know that we had to order a piece to connect the two units. That delayed our construction further. But the rep was very nice when he realized he made an error and delivered it to us personally as soon as it arrived. Now, I have to reach back out because we realized that they sent us two top grills instead of a bottom grill and a top grill. We moved in the end of August and our fridge unit area is still not complete because of the staggering of pieces. Aesthetically, it's not complete but it functions very well for our needs. It's very wide and functional and it suits our needs.

    My Viking refrigerator operates well, but my hinge broke. I have gotten replacement parts. The challenge is, for the state of Wisconsin, there's only one authorized service technician for the entire state. So, that makes servicing all Viking products that I own very challenging. Viking's customer service line is fantastic, but you have to contact somebody else directly to deal with to be servicing it.

    You can find the information relatively quickly, but the one time that I actually got on the phone with the technicians, they needed a referral thing in order to complete the work, and that wasn't in the system yet. That was months ago. I haven't followed up because I don't have time to chase around like that. As far as the refrigerator, I have a side-by-side and it is adjustable. So, that is a perk. I'm just not in love with the freezer side. There is an ice-making capability. So, half of one of the drawer spaces is taken up by the ice-making capability. But generally, it's good.

    22 years ago, we installed Viking in our kitchen everywhere. Everything was Viking. I had to replace a refrigerator this year and we went to Viking. One of the considerations to replace the Viking with a Viking was that we could get the Viking within three months compared to Sub-Zero, which was a year out. We actually got it in two months. It's just I've been very disappointed. First of all, the interior drawers which are self-closing did not close. In addition, the fan which runs at the top of the refrigerator wall and circulates the air in the refrigerator was making much more noise than you would anticipate. In the first two months of having the refrigerator, I had the service people to my home about five times and we replaced the fan three times.

    I'm not happy at all because it's still not working correctly. I'm only at the house part time. So now, I'm not there to have more service done to it. Viking was helpful and they had somebody from another city come in to try to work on it, but we had the same result. Viking did call me before we left the state. They said when I come back in the spring, they will have somebody from a major metropolitan area come and look at it. I'd like to give it back to them. I don't think for $14,000 for a refrigerator, I should have any problems with it at all. It's been really frustrating. I don't think that the quality compares to the unit that I bought 22 years ago.

    I needed a 42-inch refrigerator and Viking was the only one that made it. I've already had to replace the control board two years after I bought itand if the drawers in the refrigerator aren't closed when you close the door, it cracks them, so all the drawers are cracked. I did reach out to Viking and th customer service was not bad. As far as their website, I was only on the part of it where you register your products. It's not easy to register your products. You have an account, but you log in and it doesn't have any of the things you own there. I bought a package where I got a range, a refrigerator, and then I got the Viking dishwasher for free, which is good because it's the worst dishwasher in the world. If someone asks about Viking Refrigeration, I would tell them to opt for a different brand.

    It took about 18 months to get the refrigerator and when it finally came, it worked fine but then there was some ice buildup around the fan so they got really loud at some times. We called the certified technician to come out and take a look. They mentioned that it was installed incorrectly. We had the installer come back and they altered it. They took off the trim piece which made the doors close better. It's been about three weeks that the ice has not built up. The customer service was better than other appliances but when you spend the amount of money you spend on a fridge, you expect that there won't be any issues with it brand new. I was a little taken aback and concerned about how it started building up ice. Other than that, it's a beautiful fridge. I like that it is flush-mounted and how bright it is inside in the glass shelves.

Most recently, the repairman was just here on Monday. I have plastic bits that are being deposited in my ice cube.     I've had problems with my Viking refrigerator and I still have two open tickets with the repair people to come out. It took six months to receive the refrigerator once we purchased it because it had to be built. It's a very large refrigerator and the front doors are matte black. When it was delivered, the front doors had marks all over them and the scuffs couldn't be cleaned out. They sent someone out to look at it who then said that I got to have new panels. So they had to build those and it took about a month and a half to two months to get the new panels in. But when they brought and unpackaged them, they were worse than the ones that were on there to begin with. So now they've ordered again and I'm waiting for them to come in now. It's been at least a month since they had to reorder the next set.

    Ironically, while I was waiting for the new door panels to come out, the icemaker stopped working. So I called Viking again and let them know my icemaker was not working and they sent a ticket to the same company that was coming out here for the other repair. When he came out, he looked at it and he said that the gears that make the thing turn around inside there to dump the ice out, is damaged. So he ordered that part. Now, that part has been in and that one came in fairly quickly. But I told the tech I'd understand if he wanted to just hold off and make one trip to do both repairs because I know it is a little bit of a drive from where he's coming from.

    Other than that, the fridge is functioning and I like it. It looks really sharp, even though the panels are damaged, and it'll look better if I could get panels that aren't scuffed up. It has also done a great job with the refrigeration and the food in there seems to last a really long time. There's plenty of space as well, plus I like the setup. I can move the drawers and the shelves around really nicely. Also, when I called Viking about the issues, they were friendly and they've been more than willing to try to fix the problems. It's not any one person's fault, except for the people who were shipping out the parts. They had to see that it was damaged before they packaged it. I saw how the stuff was packaged and there's no way the damage happened during transport. Aside from that, these issues really surprised me because when you hear the Viking name, you think very high quality. And the fridge was very expensive too.

    I did the panel-ready refrigerator, which is the one where I can do the wooden panels to match what I wanted to do in my kitchen. It looks like the cabinet. It has your normal pickup sometimes. It was hard to mount it because it's built-in, so it's hard to get flush. And that's more on the cabinet people than on Viking. But it's been good. The bottom shelf can fit a pizza box, which is cool. The Viking dealer was great. The people knew all the features and functions and any kind of accessories if I wanted them.     When we bought our house, the owner had Viking appliances, which was one of the reasons why we liked the house. There are three refrigerators in our house, one is the drawer and another one is the freezer, and the Viking refrigerator itself. Compared to the refrigerators I've had before, including Kenmore, LG and Frigidaire, my produce lasts longer and stays fresher in the Viking refrigerator. Not to this day that the food went bad. So, I'm very happy with the Viking refrigerator. But at the same time, I am having a couple of issues lately and I'm not sure if it is something that can be easily fixed.

    Sometimes the water leaks out of the freezer from the bottom and I cannot figure out what causes that. The other issue is on the bottom part where the meats go, things tend to freeze. I use that to put my fresh meats there so it's half frozen or depending on where I put it, they even get sometimes almost fully frozen. So, I use that to my advantage but that's not something I would expect from a refrigerator.

    I've been trying to reach out to Viking customer service because I need parts for my refrigerator. But there's no way I can reach anyone. I don't know where to order the parts. I'm having a very hard time. I reached out to Viking and I said I would like to order the door bins and a couple more accessories for my refrigerator and to advise on the next steps. I got an "Address not found." Then I got another email from another email I sent thanking me for registering my Viking products. So, I registered to Viking. I reached out using the email address that was given to me and it doesn't work. The phone number in the email when I registered the product didn't go through either. If Viking is giving out emails and phone numbers, there should be someone on the other side. It should be a workable email. It was a bad impression when I saw that the exact email that was in there didn't even exist.

    I've had a bad experience with Viking. The first fridge had a clicking issue that no one could resolve. The problem started two days after it was installed. Over two months, we had nine visits from technicians and no one could solve the problem. So we had to get a replacement. Everybody was very attentive. But when I wanted it replaced, they kept insisting to try to fix it. It was frustrating because every time they'd sent people out, it was me having to be home for a long window to wait for them and tipping. It was inconvenient for me. Other than that, the replacement has been great. I like the size of it. There's so much more room as opposed to a standard fridge. But I'm blown away by how expensive the fridge is. I'm not a fan of the price. It has an ice maker but it doesn't have water.

    My refrigerator is completely in disrepair. So, I've been asking to have a replacement. I've had it for less than two years and I haven't been able to use it for three months. It's a disaster. They think it's repairable and someone is coming in today. There is a fan that isn't working and with the temperature, there were error messages. The temperature in my fridge is 60 and in my freezer, it's 36.

I've escalated my claim and sent it to a manager. It's very painful. I've spent $15,000 on it. I either want a full replacement or an extended warranty to ensure that this doesn't happen.     Refrigerator: The internal pieces are very poor quality. I have replaced every single door shelf as they crack at the seams and every single drawer as the front clear plastic compartment have cracked. My repairman told me every time they see a VIKING fridge, the inside is held together by tape and glue. Just a mess and not what you’d expect from a high end and high priced appliance.

    As for the double oven, I was just told that the electronic control panel which I need to replace has been discontinued and as a result, I have to buy a new oven! Really? $10K just like that!!!! When I called Viking I was told that they are only required to maintain parts by law for 7 years. Unacceptable! Well then, why would you ever buy a Viking? Just go buy yourself a low or mid range appliance and it will surely last 7 years or more! I am so upset and disappointed. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Next to the griddle, there is a small area where you can grill on it. That grill doesn't sit flat. I've had the service guy out two times and they couldn't figure it out. The last time he came out, he took a video of it for Viking to show them that the grill top will sit on the stove fine, but it's not level. It tilts to one side. Now, they're working through that. They haven't resolved it yet.

    The Viking refrigerator is a complete joke. We bought a house that had one in it and it was not working well so we looked at buying a replacement. The easiest thing to ensure the "built in" unit would work would be to buy a Viking, but we were hesitant because of the $12k price tag. Eventually we decided to buy a $2k GE fridge for the garage and live with the old Viking for a while. Long story short--we got tired of heading to the garage all the time and the Viking was getting worse, so we pulled the trigger on the $12k replacement. What a joke! It's completely nonfunctional, which may be OK if you want to spend $12k for something you'll never use, but we do use it. There is almost no usable space in the machine as they seem to have made every decision to make it absolutely as 'thin' as possible without concern for how it would be used.

    And is this fridge LOUUUUUUUUD. We were so concerned at first we had a technician come out but he said "That's just the way they are." Now we laugh because frequently if someone goes over to the fridge and pushes on the door, the noise will go down but it returns a few minutes later. But we love the GE in the garage, which cost about 1/5 the Viking price...

    I contacted Viking directly and did the purchase through an appliance retailer. The Viking refrigerator had, dimensionally, the right size because it was replacing a larger refrigerator, and it had a look that was attractive. We were also familiar with the brand name and felt that it would be a high-quality product. Plus, it was in stock and, over the last couple of years, it's been difficult to find product in stock. We got it installed in our vacation home, and we haven't had a lot of use of it, but fundamentally, it seems to control temperature well. Its layout inside is very good for both the freezer and refrigerator in terms of the use of space. The product is excellent.

    The installation was challenging. The first crew that came in to install it came with fewer people than necessary given that it was one of those larger refrigerators. They had to just drop it off, leave, then we had to reschedule a second crew to come back, which was an inconvenience. The second crew did their work fine, but didn't complete the work by peeling off the protective film and cleaning the surface. When we tried to peel off the protective film, we noticed some witness lines that appeared like scratches and were concerned. Viking sent us a gentleman over who cleaned it and everything was fine. Overall, the delivery experience could have been more effectively coordinated, but the good thing at the end was when I talked with the people at Viking. They responded well.

    My Fridge and Freezer are now 14 years old at this point, and as they aged things got worse and worse. Since the day we got these 20 thousand dollar refrigerator and freezer, we have had problems with them. First of all, the fridge has to be manually defrosted every so often since the thermostat never worked, and now the freezer is no longer freezing, and yet the fridge is. The freezer stopped making ice after the first power outage years ago, and has never made ice since. The fridge starting to now rust because we can’t defrost it right away.

    We used to have someone come out and fix the refrigerator and freezer but they stopped coming out due to limited parts, So after 14 years I’ve started to look into parts for this fridge/freezer and these parts are either not available or they are thousands of dollars each. It’s also not just the fridge/freezer we’ve been having problems with, the dishwashers broke in 2017, the beverage fridges broke in 2015, everything. The whole brand is horrible and left us with no parts and no customer service (we’ve called several times and no one ever answered). We will never be purchasing from Viking ever again. If you want high-end appliances I would suggest Thermador, Sub-zero, and even Whirlpool. If I could rate this 0 stars I would. Thanks for leaving us stranded Viking!

    I bought a house that was newly constructed and the builder/seller put Viking appliances in the kitchen. They all work great, but everybody talks about how great Viking stuff is, and the dishwasher is smaller than the one I had in my condo. That might be a builder choice though, because it's in the island in the kitchen. I also have two issues with the stove. There's no timer, so when I put something in the oven, I have to use the timer on my cellphone. There's also no little bell that goes off when the oven is preheated to the level I need it at. I have to pay attention because, when the light goes off, then it's ready. On the other hand, the refrigerator works really well. The best part about it is I don't think about it because it works as intended.

    Our Viking refrigerator has been repaired five times and the unit's not even 10 years old. I've had problems with the oven and with the dishwasher. I've had a microwave that's had to be replaced. Every single Viking appliance I have is pure crap. The guys who were recommended through Viking were awful. I had to do my own research to find somebody local to work with. The parts have been very hard to come by, and the warranty service is next to impossible. It's been awful in every possible way. The products are expensive but they're bad. They're not made to last.

    We have a complete Viking kitchen. The refrigerator compressor failed. We wanted to keep all of the appliances matching so we got another Viking refrigerator. The size is great. We're very comfortable with it. We like it very much. It's the same Viking that we had prior to this. The only difference being the ice maker is on the inside of the refrigerator, and it doesn't have any water or ice that's accessible without opening the door. The ice maker does not make a lot of ice. It seems that there's a little wire apparatus in there that as it dumps it goes up then comes back down, sets it when it comes down and touches ice, it'll cut off. It'll stop making ice. We've got in the bottom of the bin a total of two or three inches of ice. My wife and I have been discussing that and trying to figure out who we needed to call to get out here to take a look at it. We don't use that much ice. There's only two of us in the house. But if each one of us gets a glass of ice in the morning, we probably got enough ice in there to do one more glass.

    We spent a ton of money on Viking. We put a ton of stuff in and the double oven with French doors was our longest lead item. It was a six-month wait. We bought this stuff in September, and it didn't get installed till early April. Everybody was blaming COVID. We've got everything in now and running, but initially, we had a rough install. We ended up doing a lot of it ourselves 'cause our installer couldn't get the double range. It was easy though. They just had to move the outlet box. It was sitting in their way, and we put it right in ourselves. That was our experience with Viking, but so far, it was just more or less our installer. The appliances themselves have been working fine.

    The refrigerator was a little iffy at first because it was showing that it was not cooling enough on the fridge. So far, it's still about 12 degrees off. We've been putting a thermometer in there to watch it, and we keep it on negative five to keep it at about seven. That's with us not even opening the door very often at all. They were supposed to be ordering some parts, but our installer has never have gotten back with us.

    Our Viking refrigerator broke down three months ago. We were able to get it fixed through Viking a week ago. We had to go three months with no refrigerator. It was disappointing that for such a large region in Northern California, they only have one company that we could work with. And that company, unfortunately, it took them three months to get it done for us. We had to wait on one company to figure out how they could fix the refrigerator. They ended up coming out a bunch of different times. And it was a disaster. We paid for the appliances within the sale price. And we understand the reputation that came along with Viking. So, it's something we wouldn't expect. The real test of time when you're paying for these high quality products is the service that you get. That's the selling point. It's not worth it if I couldn't count on things happening when they should in terms of need.

    I like the style of it and the quality of the refrigerator and I got a good price. The only issue I would have is the front adjusters that are supposed to lift the fridge up and adjust the height. The ones on the front kind of broke so I have a piece of wood stuck under there to level it out. I thought they were kind of cheap, given the rest of the fridge. But that's about the only thing that I found that I have a problem with. Other than that, I like the external appearance. I like the lighting and everything's metal, even the inside shelves on the doors feel really solid.

    I'm not very impressed with our Viking refrigerator. We've had a repairman out and there's still an issue. When the crisper drawers slide, it makes a scraping sound. When we close the refrigerator door, there's something in the hinge that's making a loud click. I reported the crisper drawer. They said that's the way it works. The door hinge clicking sound happened after they came out, but I intend to have them come back and look at it.

    Our refrigerator wouldn't hold temperature since we moved into the house. It's only about a four-year-old Viking and it seems like the sealed refrigeration system is faulty. And even though it's under warranty, both Viking and their authorized service has not honored the warranty, and the authorized service provider is now not responding to calls. The third party person was generally rude and gave me incorrect information. I have a warranty card that says the full sealed refrigeration system is under full warranty for 6 years and the limited warranty till 12 and this person was telling me that it's out of warranty and they don't cover anything in the sealed system. People should go with Sub-Zero Wolf.

    Our kitchen is set up for a built-in refrigerator. Since we were needing a new refrigerator and didn't want to remodel the whole kitchen, I was limited to brands that offered one that fit the dimensions of our space. I looked at a few different ones and the Viking one stood out to me. I went to Best Buy as that was one of the stores that the associate presented.

    It took quite about nine months before I got the Viking refrigerator I ordered. For the most part, the refrigerator seems to be working pretty well. The only thing is, we had some issues with it in a short time. The built-in icemaker had some quality issues. But those were resolved by a warranty repair. A third party company was sent out and they seemed pretty knowledgeable. They were good to work with and they made sure that we were taken care of. It just with what we paid for it, we had more hiccups than we should have had early on. But for the most part, I'm pretty satisfied with it. Everything seems to be pretty good quality. I like how modular everything is in it. You don't just have the ability to adjust the shelves, but the positions of all of the different parts such as the crisper drawer and the deli drawer. You can arrange it however that suits your needs. That's my favorite aspect of the refrigerator.

    We used Viking across the board for the refrigerator, the double French door oven, the stovetop, etc. A huge thing for me was the 5% kickback that they did. When they gave me back 1,800 bucks, that was a win. The Viking refrigerator is big. I saw the dude take it upstairs, and it was gnarly for him to get up. I like the shelving and the way they have the soft-close doors. The ice machine pumps ice out super quick. It’s not clear ice, but it's close to clear. All that stuff works fantastically. It also has that very clean, almost luxurious look and feel to it. It could be a lot more feature-driven though. Also, once that warranty goes up, they’ll want three grand to fix it. But all in all, we're great so far.

    Viking and Wolf are high-end brands. We had had Wolf before and we really liked it. We went in to buy a Wolf product and the lead time on them was much longer than the Viking products. Ended up purchasing the Viking products. We wanted everything to match. We bought everything from the same brand so it all matched like we had in our other home. We bought a Viking stove and oven.     I went to Best Buy Pacific Sales to buy appliances. Viking was very attractive because it looks good. I was looking for something built-in and they had a good deal with all the bundles. I bought a refrigerator about four years ago and it broke down three times already. I would not recommend Viking. Every time the refrigerator broke down, I called the service and it would take three to four days. I throw all the food inside the refrigerator. I have to buy another refrigerator.

    When the refrigerator first broke down and wasn't cooling, I called the Viking and they gave me another vendor working with the Viking warranty. I called them and a couple of days later, they were gonna stop by. They came in and then they fixed the refrigerator. They didn't charge because it was under warranty. After eight months, the same problem occurred again. I called the vendor and they said I was out of warranty. The part will be under warranty but the labor will be paid for. I had to pay $600 for the labor only.

    A couple of months later, ice was not being made. I called again and I was told that I would have to pay more than $5,000. I still paid them. Right now, my LED light isn't working. I called and was told that they would have to change the whole panel and that was more than $1,000. That was it for me. I'm just gonna leave the refrigerator without the lighting. The cooling is okay and I'm just using it right now.

    I am not happy with Viking at all and I would never buy a Viking appliance again. Nor would I ever recommend Viking. Our whole neighborhood has Viking and just about everybody has had a problem with Viking, whether it be a dishwasher, oven, or refrigerator. The service has been awful. It's a brand-new house and a year after we've been in the house, the freezer went out. And now, the top part of the refrigerator is not cooling correctly. So, I've been dealing with service people and parts for six months and I can't get anywhere.

    The latest issue is that the part that's needed to fix the temperature control is back-ordered and as of yesterday, it's been 112 days. So, we had to go out and purchase a smaller refrigerator to put in our garage just so we would have a refrigerator. And I've had to throw out everything in my freezer when the freezer went out, then just about everything in the top part of the refrigerator when the temperature control was at 56. There are two authorized dealers in Birmingham, Alabama that are Viking-approved and it takes them a week to come out once you place a service call. I've had two different techs because I've had so much trouble. The first technicians that dealt with the freezer, it took them four service calls to get it right. Then the second company I used for the top part of the refrigerator, they've come out twice and they were better than the first.

    Viking's customer service reps are also not good. When the freezer part went out, the customer care advocate said that maybe they could compensate me to go buy a refrigerator to store our food in. She said I could send her the receipt and she'd see what she could do. That went nowhere and she hadn't done anything. In fact, I've had to pay $635 for the first service repair. Then, when the top part had an issue, I asked them if they could send out a used Viking refrigerator or something that's been on the floor or something that works until the part could come in. But they said they couldn't do anything.

    The only issue I have had with the refrigerator, for what I would consider a luxury model, is the icemaker does not work well. The arm doesn't reset, so I'll refill sometimes on the door. I've had nicer icemakers. We had Viking come back out to check it. The techs came once, and they thought they had it fixed. Since then, since they didn't fix the icemaker, we just lived with it. Other than that, we like everything else.

    We bought the refrigerator from a subsidiary of Best Buy that does more of their high-end stuff. They brought us the first one and then brought us another one. We said that the first one they brought us was less damaged than the second one. So, I asked if they could cut me a discount and we’ll just take it because we literally moved into our house and we needed a refrigerator, and they ended up doing that. They talked about ordering one but they said it might be a while to get one, and we couldn’t wait that long. The fridge we have now has some minor imperfections but it works well. When my wife opens the refrigerator, you can almost feel like it's an AC unit because you can feel the cold coming out of it. It's probably one of the coldest refrigerators I've ever owned but it's just how we got it was not the best experience because there were scratches on it when we unboxed it.

    I was looking between Viking and KitchenAid and Samsung. And even though the price was more than I originally was thinking for a refrigerator, Viking has very good quality. It's made in the US and supporting US people and I’m good with it. I like its aesthetic. The only surprising thing is if you're a parent, you have kids and they give you artwork, the outside of it is not magnetic. So, I can't hang the usual stuff on it. I’m a little disappointed but it looks nice. Beyond the receiving of the product, the Viking refrigerator is a great product. It's been dependable.

    I'm not happy with the Viking appliances I bought. The ice falls out of the ice maker. It goes into the container, but when you open the freezer drawer, it falls out. It really shouldn't happen on a $2,000 refrigerator. There should be some way for that ice to be captured and not end up all over my floor when it overflows in the tray. The freezer drawer also came bent. We're still waiting for a replacement. It looks nice, but there's nothing special about it. The dimming light is nice when you open it. It's off and then it slowly turns on. But there's no water dispenser. I would never buy a refrigerator again from Viking ever.

    We also had to go through three different microwaves because the Viking microwave didn't work. The Viking dishwasher also doesn't even have a cycle. The part in the door that holds the detergent is broken. They've replaced it twice and are waiting yet again for another replacement because it still doesn't work right. The door doesn't click on and hold. The worst part, I wash my dishes and they're wet. They don't even dry.

    The freezer didn't work and the fridge wouldn’t hold the temperature. Their Viking rep had to keep coming out and trying to fix it. We did that for a little over three months. I wrote them a nice email that it was time for them to step up and replace it because we're a family of seven. I had to get demanding but they worked with me. They ordered a new one for me and they were nice and gave me $400 to buy something for my garage so I could at least have a fridge during that time when their fridge wasn't working. I finally got my new Viking fridge in January and then the icemaker wasn't working so they ended up replacing the icemaker. Now, I have a fully functioning Viking fridge. I like that it's a bigger fridge and it has French doors, which I've never had before.

    I had a Viking fridge and that stopped working. It's been a headache because it's quite a heavy fridge and to take it out or put it in is like a whole effort by itself. It's not very straightforward. Not many people do it. We went through a lot of trouble with that. And it seems like whoever does that work charges three times more than anyone else for any other fridge. My home warranty tried to fix that fridge and when they could not, they offered me some money, which was not adequate. We were debating whether to get a cheaper fridge or put in a similar fridge. We have built-in space for a Viking or a similar fridge and it was very difficult. We were very limited.

    I got a new Viking fridge, which is a similar model to the previous one, and setting it up was a big hassle. The people who delivered it did not put it and I had to get people to do that. But Viking is a good fridge, which is why we got it. When it works, it doesn't give trouble, although when it does, it's very problematic to get an experienced professional who deals with Viking. Viking could not set us up with someone that's their repair guy unless I have a contract with them. We were not the original owners of the previous, so I didn't have any contract with them. Now, I do and I hope there is someone here to fix it.

    The salesman was good and they delivered my Viking on time. It's an awesome refrigerator. We had problems in the beginning where one of the doors bowed out. Also, in the other door, the weatherstripping was compressed. Viking sent someone who did some repairs. It's still not great and the new weatherstripping they put in is still compressed. Also, it's loose and it didn't get installed correctly. So we still have to get something done. Other than that, we like the size of the fridge and the lighting inside. I also like the way the shelves are and that there are drawers I can adjust and move up and down.

    I liked the layout of the Viking refrigerator and the fact that the salespeople told me they tended to be more reliable than some of the other models because they're often used in commercial applications. They don't have a lot of customization options other than whether or not you want an ice maker. I did that. I bought the fridge brand-new December 2022. Shortly thereafter, the ice maker failed. It's under warranty so I called the appliance store back and they took care of it. They were a little skeptical about the design of the ice maker.

    They were able to fix the ie maker. But what happened is that the fill pipe that brings the water in froze solid and they think it might be a design flaw. Since they fixed it, the fridge has been operating for about a week. The problem may be that if you don't frequently take ice out of it, that pipe is going to freeze again. Other than that, the fridge has worked fine. It looks to be of a good quality. I like the way it's laid out.

    It's a French-door refrigerator with a very spacious freezer drawer. There's no deli drawer in-between that you can pull out, which a lot of the other ones have, which seemed to me makes them basically more complicated. The other reason I chose this one is it does not have any kind of digital electronics. All appliances now will have apps that hook up to your phone and iPad and I didn't want that. It's just stuff that is eventually going to malfunction. I want it basic.

    When I moved in the house in 2016, it had a Viking refrigerator in it. It had a problem and I needed to get it fixed. But they were unable to fix it. It was an old refrigerator. It took me two years to get the new refrigerator. It is working. But when it was installed, the door made a bad sound when you opened it. It was like a spring is about to break. I called the person that installed it and he said he could come. I got a new appointment for him to come and fix it on April the 19th. But he did not show up. He didn't call or text me. That's where I'm at right now.

    I'm talking to a very nice lady at Viking. Beverly is her name and she's been trying her best to help me out. But she's been unable to get the installer to respond back to me. I think that has something to do with the issue that when the refrigerator was installed, the wooden floor was severely scratched and I'm being avoided because of that. Beverly told me that my next step would be to talk to her supervisor. But in the meantime, I told her I was going out of the country. I couldn't do anything right now.

    It's very confusing to set the temperature both in the standalone refrigerator and the standalone freezer. The freezer is set so low. If you wanna have ice cream, you'd be best plan on setting it out for 20 minutes or you're not gonna be able to eat it because it's so frozen. We cannot figure out how to make it a few degrees warmer. The same problem was going on with the refrigerator. It was condensating because it was set too cold.

    We had an appliance repair guy out working on something else, not those appliances. And he said, "Oh, you got it too cold." So he obviously figured that out. Clearly, I need to take a minute and go find the owner's manual or I need to just google it and look it up. So it's not really a complaint to Viking, but it's not intuitive. Let's put it that way. Somebody overengineered that. You should be able to open a door and press an up button or a down button to set your temperature without having to hit the right combination. We're not opening a safe here. We're just adjusting the temperature in the freezer. But otherwise, we've been very happy. It's beautiful and it works.

    There was a rebate program with our units, and we got the rebate. But the communication back from Viking was zero. So I filled it out, got the forms online, did everything I needed to do. I even uploaded and submitted online. Never got an acknowledgment email. Then a month or so later, a tech shows up. But I would certainly recommend Viking to somebody. It's a good quality product. It's made in the USA, which I don't know how many of us left care about that. But that means something to me.

    The fridge collects water in the pan underneath it. The problem with that is it doesn't make ice when there's water in there. We constantly have to take the water out to keep it working with the ice maker. But other than that, it works great and keeps stuff cool. It seems to be a well-made refrigerator.

    We love all the Viking products. The appliances are phenomenal. They feel well-built. The oven is our favorite piece. As far as cooking on them, they heat evenly and we have good control of the features. The Viking refrigerator classically looks good. The quality is outstanding. I like how easily you can control the temperatures. But I would tell others to purchase through an authorized Viking dealer. I went through a third-party retail site to buy these appliances and once they were delivered, I had a lot of trouble getting them set them up in the home. The guys who came out here to deliver it said, "We can put it in the garage, but we can't bring it inside.” I paid for it on the install. That was a little frustrating. I could have went to a retail outlet and purchased from a Viking representative to make that process a little smoother.

    When I got my dishwasher, the door was dented so I had to file a claim. A representative from Viking came out here. He was phenomenal. He replaced the door on the dishwasher and went through and set everything up because the install guys wouldn't do it. He also walked me through the features. It was a way better experience.

    We had to have a repair for the refrigerator. The door wasn't sealing correctly. You had to force it to close. Viking ended up replacing the refrigerator. It didn't take that long for that.     When I was appliance shopping, the builder sent us to a couple of different appliance places and the main one that I went to, Viking was prominently displayed. I've had other friends that had the Viking appliances as well and here locally, we had a Viking store that did cooking demonstrations, which were great. When they feed you like that, it's a good chef cooking, so it was really nice to see everything up close and personal.

    We ordered our Viking refrigerator last summer, and it arrived around early October about the same time we demoed the kitchen. There were lots of issues with delays getting things to us, and then the kitchen remodel took longer. We’ve had the refrigerator in place about two months now. It has a great design and it's roomy. The all glass inside is really nice, and I like that they've got the deeper shelves on the door itself, so the condiments can't flip over easily. I also like the bottom drawer for the freezer to have things down low. To be able to open the upper portion and have everything at eye level is really a nice feature. I’ve always had a side-by-side, so this is my first one with the freezer on the bottom, and I'm very pleased.

They've addressed all of that. The old refrigerator that we got rid of was also a Viking from 2006.     Viking is the worst refrigerator I've had. And nobody seems to care. We've had trouble with it in the beginning and Viking has been unresponsive. Two cans of Coke exploded in it because the upper part of it got out of control on its temperature. The ice maker has been broken since we got it. I tried to turn it off and on. It still makes ice cubes to the point where I open the freezer, I can't get it open. But when I do, those ice cubes fall on the floor. We often have water on the floor. It still isn't fixed. Viking said it's on order. I'm close to just saying, "Okay. We made a mistake and getting rid of it." It's a disaster. I wish we could return it.

    It took weeks to get Viking to come out. They called and called back many days later. They scheduled an appointment a week later. Meanwhile, we got the same problem. The guy came out. And he adjusted somehow the temperature, but he didn't do anything with the ice thing. He said, "It's broken. You need a new one." That was two weeks ago and said we would hear from him quickly. I haven't heard anything. Then it would be another week. It was almost like they were doing us a favor by selling it to us. And the service has been zero. The refrigerator costs more than $15,000, which is preposterous. It has been a terrible experience.

    I have a brand-new Viking refrigerator that got damaged in shipping. The whole basket wasn't closing properly, so we had to wait for a brand-new one to come in. Since it wasn't closing properly, the ice maker got damaged. Now, we're waiting for the ice maker to come back in, which isn't until May 5th and that's been a good month. It's under the warranty. But they won't give me a brand-new one, even though I've been through all this. I have not been too happy with this whole experience. But Vikings are good. We had success with our last refrigerator, which we had for almost 20 years. The only reason I had to replace it was because it died. I'd recommend Viking Refrigerators.

    I've bought about $120,000 worth of Viking appliances. I have two refrigerators, two wine coolers, an ice maker, a range, an outdoor grill, two dishwashers, and two ovens. I haven't had problems with any of them. I looked at Wolf and Sub-Zero as well, and all three products are good, but the difference was Viking was available quicker than Wolf or Sub-Zero. What made me hesitate and makes me question my decision to have gone with Viking is it is virtually impossible to get service, given where I live in rural Northwest Georgia and given the policy Viking adopted a few years ago of only letting Viking licensed repair people do Viking stuff.

    We had a slight issue with one of the dishwashers, but it was an installation issue and it got taken care of. However, it took six weeks to get an appointment. The place where I bought the appliances from, which is a very competent dealership, has service, but they're not allowed to service my Viking appliances because they're not licensed by Viking. It's a terrible policy. Viking charges people a fortune and that's if they can get an appointment. The service is the key thing. The products are all fine.

    I have two homes and I lost my fridge in Arizona, but I had time to wait. I really wanted another Sub-Zero 48-inch, but I'm still waiting on that a year later and it won't come in for three more months. The one in Saint Louis is my primary home, and Viking was one of the higher end I could get that would not be a year's wait. I absolutely hate it though. I've had Viking come out to service it three times, and the problem with it is the ice maker is not making ice. I can let it go for 24 hours and it doesn't even get a fourth full. If you had a little ice cube tray that you put in, it made 24 to 26 ice cubes in 24-hours at the most. I'm so frustrated with having to go buy bags of ice every time I need ice. It doesn't make me have a very good feeling about anything about the refrigerator.

    I'm following through with what Viking wants me to do, and that is to follow this process. They have replaced things twice, and one time, they looked at it, but now, I've gotta have another service call. I'm leaving for Arizona, so it will have to be done when I get back. They're coming back out again on May 8th, because when I called, they told me that I have to have them come look one more time, and if they can't fix it, then they'll escalate it to see if they can do an exchange. I said, “Just swap it out. There's obviously something wrong with this thing,” but I'm not getting that much help yet.

    With people working, whenever they have a day off and they're getting a service call, they sit around and wait the entire day for the company to call them. They're limited to anything they can do for at least a five-hour window. I've already done that three times and I'm on my fourth time now, and it's very frustrating. The one that was in this residence before was a Thermador. It looks just like it at 17 years old, and if it wasn't for the motherboard that went out, I would have kept it. It was like brand new, and everything worked perfect on it.

    I rate Viking a 1, and not that the gal that I talked to, Michelle, on the phone, is not doing anything about her job. However, when I called the service people to repair, she said they need to come out one more time and look at it. When I called the service repair company that came out here, they said, “Well, if we don't find anything, then we're gonna charge you $45 a visit.” In their defense, completely, the service people are like, “We've fixed everything that we could fix on it. Everything that looked like it was the issue, we replaced.”

    Luckily, I put the purchase on my American Express, because they allow me to dispute charges up to a year. I hate saying I'm frustrated and if it can be fixed, I'm happy. I don't wanna go through the hassle of the refrigerator being removed, but it's very embarrassing when I have friends come over and I have to get a bag of ice because I can't make a cocktail for anybody because there's no ice.

    Our original refrigerator was a Sub-Zero. It was built into the cabinet and we had to have a larger refrigerator. Viking provided the size refrigerator that we needed. We also liked it because we have friends who own Viking and I've heard good things about it. We needed a really good refrigerator with a good warranty. We purchased the Viking refrigerator through Appliances Connection and we had some issues with the installation. Appliances Connection uses a third party. They just showed up and dropped the refrigerator in our kitchen. They never came back out to hook it up. They couldn't wait for our plumber to show up to disconnect a water line for our refrigerator.

    The refrigerator sat in our kitchen until January before the installers could come back out, take the old refrigerator, and put the new one in. They still wouldn't hook it back up. We had to have the plumber come back out and hook it up. That cost us even more out-of-pocket, even though we got the white glove through Appliances Connection. But as far as the Viking product itself, we enjoy it. We like it. The only thing is I'm short, so I need a step ladder to get to the top back of the refrigerator and freezer. Other than that, it's good and it's staying cool. It's doing its functions appropriately. We're looking at getting the microwave, stove, oven, and range combination as well at some point to make sure we have all brand new appliances.

    I liked the fridge from my previous experience with it. I purchased multiple Viking appliances, like the fridge and the microwave, and since then, I've been having a lot of issues with both of them that have required numerous time for people to come here to fix. There was the hinge of the fridge door that was an issue, so, the door wouldn't close. My freezer side pulls in nicely. You could close the door and it would be slightly open, and we wouldn't know that it's open because it's not pulling in and close. So they replaced the hinge, but that issue is still happening. And there's a gap. It's more pushed out at the bottom than it is at the top. So, I would have them come one more time on Tuesday to see if they could fix that.

    And with the microwave, there was a period of time where it stopped heating. So, I had somebody come to look at it, and they said that there was some damage done to the magnetron. So, they replaced all of that. It worked two times and the same thing happened. I had a different company. They said that it was an alignment issue, so they realigned everything. It worked for a while, but I'm having this issue since two days ago.

    I'm a physician and I work during the day. I'm doing video visits and trying to find time for people to come in, and they're here for multiple hours. They also need my attention. So, it has been very difficult. It has been six months and my microwave still doesn't work and my fridge is still not alive. I understand that Viking would rather continue to try to fix an issue, but there has to be some limit of time, because I paid over $20,000 for these items. If my microwave cannot be fixed after the third or fourth time, they need to send me a new one. I don't know how long I have to continue to do this until that is the conclusion.

    The design of the Viking Refrigerator is a little different than what we're used to. They might have some bells and whistles and drawers, but you really can't store too much stuff in here. You can't fit large items in unless you remove a shelf. My family is also not crazy about the bottom-drawer freezer. The handles were also the wrong size. We had to reorder them. The water filters could also be more cost-effective. They're so expensive. It would be nice when you buy a refrigerator, they give you more than one. But the quality of the fridge is good. It's a nice piece of furniture.

    I'm good with the experience, so far. I like the cold water dispenser in the Viking refrigerator. However, we got a problem with the dishwasher. They unwrapped it and the top of it is crushed. We're gonna have to get a replacement for that. The range is the outstanding piece that Viking does but I thought it would be slightly more heavy grade.

    The Viking products work good but I was expecting more because they're considered higher end. On the dishwasher, the little thing that you put the soap into is temperamental and we even had somebody come out and take a look at it. The tech said there’s a special place where you push and so it won't pop back. But I have to redo it or put more soap in because it all drains out before it's ready at least four times. Then, we had some problems with the stove. I love the stovetop and it’s great but one of the sliding shelves in the oven that you put your stuff on was defective. It got caught up and I had to get that replaced.

    We already had something break on the refrigerator. When you open the door, there's a little stop at the bottom that keeps the door from swinging all the way out and around and breaking off. It's a stopgap and the piece of metal completely sheared in half and broke. The person who came through the warranty service said he fixes that a lot. He was training someone and he told him that he was gonna fix a lot of those and showed him what he does when he’d doing it himself. So, it wasn't a new issue or something that they rarely see.

    We have rental properties and from time to time, we have to replace their appliances. So, we always look for the lowest costs because we're not gonna spend something high end in a rental property. We rarely ever have to have somebody come out to make a repair but we've already had probably four people come out to fix a Viking appliance. And we've only had these products for two years. For the price, I expect better reliability. The things that messed up weren't preventing me from being able to use the product but it takes weeks to get somebody out that's especially approved to work on Viking appliances and I don't even know how much it's gonna cost the next time it breaks because it’s a specialty repair. So, I am not happy with the high maintenance of it that's required and I'm not getting better quality equipment.

    The refrigerator has good quality. It's beautiful inside and it's operating. But I'm not 100% happy with how everything has turned out. The installation scratched the door. Now, we're waiting for the distributor to replace the door at some point, and that's gonna take weeks or months. Also, we received the wrong spacers, so we're waiting on those as well.

    I bought a house that had Viking appliances in it and I had so much trouble with the refrigerator for the 17 years that I owned it. I had put $5,000 into trying to make it work. We didn't really want to get another Viking but unfortunately, it's built-in and this is the only model that would fit. I got a $14,000 refrigerator in December and it doesn't work properly.

    From day one, this thing started making a fan noise that I could hear everywhere in the house. Also, it wouldn't make ice and when I open the freezer door, there's frost all over the shelves. The defrost automatic is not working properly in the ice maker. I called them within the first week and I didn't hear anything until the middle of January. Finally, I called the guy that sold it to us and he gave me the company that they use for service. I looked up that company and they hadn't called me. They never came out for a month and they said somebody lost the ticket.

    They did send somebody out and the tech seemed like a very nice young man. He said the gasket around the freezer is not tight and it was flat and that we have to pull the door to open the refrigerator because it creates a seal freezer. He said they would get us a new ice maker and they would do a new gasket. I asked about the noise and he said that could be a bad fan or motor and that he would get back to me. A month went by and they said the ice maker was backordered but they had the gasket and they wanted to come out and put that in. The guy came in and put on a new gasket but it didn't make any difference.

    For the fan, he said he was gonna put some insulation in because maybe it's a vibration and that will quiet it down. I asked if that wasn't just masking the problem and he said it was probably just a rattle. It quieted down but sure as anything, a week later, it's making noise although not as loud because it's muffled. Then, we got a text that they want to come out to put in the new ice maker. Now, the thing makes ice but it's intermittent. I looked at the instructions and it says it's supposed to make nine cycles of ice every day. If I did nine cycles of ice in a week, that would be a lot, but it does make ice.

    If I hadn't paid so much for this thing, it would be almost comical. We're into this six months so I'm halfway through the warranty and I know dollars to donuts that as soon as this warranty is up, something's going to happen here and on the next service call, I'm paying out of my pocket. If this thing is not working in tip-top shape come September and I only have three months left on that warranty, I'm gonna be one unhappy camper. I would love to have somebody that actually works from Viking give me a call. That's all I want. I know they have regional people because when I had problems with the old Viking refrigerator and the wine cooler where I had to replace two motherboards within a few years, they called and made something happen. But right now, everything is so far removed from the actual manufacturer.

    I received two dishwashers, a refrigerator, two ovens, and I'm not impressed with them. I've had issues with all of them. The ice maker has not worked right since I got it. It randomly would stop making ice cubes and would start again. I had to purchase another shelf because Viking doesn't give shelves to fill the refrigerator so I had a big empty space. For the amount of money that I paid for a refrigerator, I should not have to get more shelving. When I received my dishwasher, it had a dent in it and Viking didn't replace the front of it for me.

    The repair guy had to come out several times for my oven. It was broken between Thanksgiving and it got fixed two weeks ago. When I emailed the company about my oven, they replaced six different pieces, and I thought at that time that if I paid for a new one, they said they wouldn't do it. And it wasn't a year old, so I shouldn't have had that happen. It took over a year to get them because when I ordered them, it was during COVID. I have another house we're gonna build, and I'm not interested in doing it again.

    The Viking refrigerator is a high-end product. With the one I chose, a refrigerator is on the top and the freezer’s on the bottom. I have a limited amount of space in my kitchen, but I knew I wanted to do all the high-end appliances because we just moved. I like the way it works. I don't have to fumble with two doors. It's just one door on the top and one drawer on the bottom, and it keeps the lettuce and all that stuff really fresh. The spinach in the bag lasts a lot longer. The fruits and everything. It does last a lot longer. It keeps everything cool. It makes a lot of ice. I use a Brita water thing and it cools it really fast. It's the nicest refrigerator I'll ever own. It looks very regal when you walk into my kitchen.

    We no longer have the original refrigerator because we had nothing but trouble with it and very frustrating months of problems and it could not get resolved. The retailer tried to help us but it finally came down to that the actual refrigerator box was not made well and it was not square. So, there was an air leak in it and we had frost in the freezer because of the air leak. And to keep up with the air leak, the compressor was running constantly and relatively loud to what it should have been. I finally just threw up my hands.

    I wrote a letter to the president of the company and within two days, I got a call from his executive assistant and they said they would take care of that for me. They sent out people that know how to fix the things and they decided everything we had told them was correct and they replaced the refrigerator with a brand-new one and that is working perfectly. When I looked up Viking, I did not see consumer complaints on various websites. I did not see any situation such as I had had. I got a turkey on the first one and somehow it got out of their factory poorly built or the thing had an accident, like falling off the truck and got it out of alignment.

    I was very impressed with the speed once I got to somebody who could do something, the president of the company. So, I was very happy that Viking stood behind their product and gave us this new one. Their response to my problem was outstanding. I'm skeptic at heart and they relieved my skepticism about big business. The lighting inside the refrigerator and the freezer are excellent. You can see everything. And the good arrangement of shelves and lots of room for everything are also my favorite features. There's just two of us living here now so, it's all going well.

    While the Viking refrigerator was a little outside of our price range, it fit what we needed. However, we had to call out a repair tech as soon as we got it installed. One of the interior pieces either was not attached well or something popped off and it was only able to be repaired by a technician. We bought the refrigerator through an appliance sales company so it was a little interesting trying to figure out who was the best person to speak with. But once we got connected to the correct people, it wasn't too terribly difficult. For the most part, the refrigerator has very good quality.

    Viking itself was all right. But we had a pretty huge headache with the local appliance store that we bought the fridge through. It was a long and terrible ordeal to actually get the fridge delivered. It was about a 500-day lag time between our order and actually receiving the fridge. When it finally showed up, it went fairly smoothly. The fridge is wide and shallow so everything is real easy to see. Nothing is hidden behind anything else. I like that it maintains a stable temperature. It’s the first fridge I've ever had that doesn't freezer burn everything we have. So that's kind of nice.     I'm happy with everything from Viking. I'm just not happy with the refrigerator. It's extremely noisy and I don't like that. Every space is well available. It's a good quality. I just wouldn't recommend it because of the noise. I'm dissatisfied with the noise and we have to live with that.     Within six months after we bought the range and the refrigerator, the range had problems with the lighting. You couldn't turn it on and one of the burners wouldn't work. It took about a month until somebody came and took care of it. The Viking customer service was responsive, but their vendors weren't responsive enough. With the refrigerator, I'm still very disappointed because the icemaker kept on freezing up. And now, it completely stopped working. All the technician told me when they came was that one of the gears is freezing up, that's why it's not working. But they want $600 for just that and it doesn't make sense to me, especially since we paid $9,000 for the refrigerator.

    We bought Viking with the idea that it's going to be working well and we thought we were buying a brand name with reliability and reputation. But the icemaker has been giving us trouble from the ninth month on. After a year, they said that the warranty was out as it's only a one year warranty. But a one year warranty for the refrigerator is ridiculous. We assumed that since it's a Viking, it's going to have a good, reliable three or five-year warranty at minimum if not more. I've stopped buying Viking from the day I had this experience with them.

    We needed to replace our refrigerator, which was a KitchenAid. We looked at a variety of options in the upper end of the market and I was more familiar with Viking Ranges. The dealer we went to had the Viking refrigerator which we found to be attractive. We wanted a French door unit so we ended up choosing that one. Our sales associate was terrific. We purchased during the pandemic and there wasn't an abundance of appliances available. There were long waits. But she helped us locate a unit that was within the state so the wait for the unit that we wanted was relatively short. The quality of the unit is good, especially the vegetable crisper drawers. They keep the produce fresh for a substantial amount of time.

    There's one thing that I'm not happy about. It's not the functional part, it's the visual part. The doors have an odd rippling look along the outer edges. I imagine it's where they're glued to the frame. I had never seen that before on a refrigerator. We thought it was a defect. But when we inquired, we were told that they all have that now. It's because they use a very thin layer of stainless steel that goes on the outside. That's a big minus for me because we modeled our whole kitchen and included a Viking range and a Viking dishwasher as well. We want to have a high-end look. That does not look high-end to me.

    2018 home renovation. We purchased all Viking products side by side fridge freezer, dishwasher, stove and oven (gas) and a convection microwave. All except the micro has been replaced. I grew up admiring a Viking stove and I wish I did more research. This company lost its way. Total junk. The quality is gone. Regarding the oven the knobs are cheap and melted. The oven door was bad from manufacturing so replaced it completely. We smell gas every time we use it. We actually call consumers power to run a check on it for CO. It truly is not the Viking I grew up with. The oven is terrible and a total disappointment. My experience with customer service on the oven was so bad it’s hard for me to believe they are in business.

    The fridge/freezer was replaced because it had a cracked pan. This happened 6 months after delivery. This too is just a piece of junk. Water leaked all over our wood floors. It’s loud and vibrates as well. Total junk. The replacement took months and again the customer service rep was rude and didn’t care about us. The dishwasher came in damaged much like the oven door. It was replaced. Almost immediately the light went out on the dishwasher. Just terrible workmanship and quality control.

    Recently we had the issue again on the oven with terrible gas smell. Customer service was so bad and they said sorry it’s out of warranty. The CS rep sounded like she was 14 and acted like she was not trained or understood how to satisfy a customer. I recommend you buy anything but a Viking. I have given up on them ever doing the right thing. Please do yourself a favor and look at how they have cheapens this product and don’t buy Viking.

    The Viking has been pretty bad. I put it in a brand-new house and I've been living in it for a year. We've already had to replace almost everything in it. Everything has been leaking including the compressor on top and the coil inside the freezer. Once they changed those out, they realized the heat exchanger in the back is also leaking. I'm waiting for that to come in. Other than that, the reps have been very helpful, polite and attentive. They've been on the mark with no delays or hassles.

    Also, I love the look of the Viking. I got the counter depth model with the cabinet door in front. When it's working it's amazing. But when it's not working, it's not working.

    I like the overall construction of the Viking refrigerator. It's stainless steel outside. It's nice and polished. They're quality doors, very sturdy. It's white inside. Plastic looks nice with the food. It fits a lot of products inside. I like that they have compartments for the vegetables. It's also nice that it closes smoothly and slowly. However, it's pricey. Delivery and unpacking were also a little bit subpar because when they opened the device, they used a sharp tool to take the plastic off, which left some markings on the doors. Then one of the drawers broke. So, I had to call them but they came and fixed it.

    They dropped the first Viking fridge they delivered and they wanted me to take it and just get a front door replaced because they had banged up the door. Fortunately, they didn't break it off any of the granite, although it hit the granite. They sent two people to deliver this and I think you really need more for a 42-inch fridge. I told them they have to get me another one and they did. This time, I had four men delivering it and there were no problems.

    What I like about the Viking fridge is it keeps the food a lot longer than our KitchenAid did because I can buy enough for almost the whole week. It's not something I expected. Because the type of stuff that goes bad is the lettuce and the spinach that's in the produce clear plastic boxes. Usually, I never expect the stuff to last till the date on it. But with the Viking, not only was it lasting to the date, two times, I found something that lasted beyond the date. However, the Viking has two shallow drawers and one deep drawer. Since I have a lot of fruits and vegetables, I would have preferred the two deep ones. They also have a very good Viking repair person in New Hampshire. They pick up the phone and they talk to you. Our doors were a little out of alignment and the Viking is a little noisier. The tech came and listened and he said everything was fine.

    I thought Viking would be good quality. A year and a half ago while the appliance was still under warranty, some of the drawers broke and the ice maker malfunctioned. We had to wait a long time because of the COVID situation. Best Buy sold me an LG appliance that we used for a while until Viking was able to deliver the unit, which was six to eight months ago. There were also issues with the lights. It was replaced once and it made a humming noise. And it was replaced a couple of days ago again. So, the overall impression is less than desirable.

    We liked how Viking looks, but we also like that at that time, we can get a refrigerator, a Viking stove and two additional products complimentary. It took a long time to get the products trickled in, but it took almost a year to get the range from the time we ordered and paid. Our experience with Ferguson wasn't that great, but I had to reach out to the representative from Viking and he did get back to me. It wasn't huge help, but it wasn't unhelpful. I got more help when I called Viking call center. They were great. As far as the refrigerator, we like it. It just takes a little while to get used to and know exactly how it works. I like the spacing and the way you can move the shelves. It seems like we have more space than we have had with other refrigerators, but this one is a little bit bigger than we've had in the past.

    I had had a good experience with Viking when I owned a Viking range. But I'm having a little bit of problems with the Viking refrigerator right now. We had to replace the ice maker on it but it's not working like it should. The problem is the ice is getting stuck in the little lever before it comes down. It doesn't seem like it's a big deal to fix, but it's irritating because I shouldn't have to poke that ice out of it everyday when it gets stuck. We also had to replace the doors because they got damaged in the shipping of it. There was a little dent. There was a long lead time to get it.

    Other than those, I'm happy with my Viking refrigerator. I like the looks of it. I like the shelves. The little storage boxes close on their own, and they're handy the way they are. I'd like a little more room in the freezer part of it but it's a good size refrigerator. It seems to work good. Sometimes things seem to get a little cold on one side. When I open the refrigerator on the left side, some things would freeze. They're a little more up at the top, but the rest of the stuff seems fine. It's not a big issue.

    It's been a great experience with Viking. The first refrigerator lasted for a very long time. We probably would have kept it longer, but the ice maker was leaking and it was making a mess, so it was time to buy a new one. We got the newer version of the one that was already in the house. What's interesting about this new one versus the older model is they switched out the lighting. It's got more LED lighting in it so when you open it up, it looks more lit. I like how they changed the shelving. In the old model, it had two rows of shelving or you could move the shelving. This one, the rows go all the way across versus it being broken up into two. That's nice. The refrigerator is fairly easy to clean. I haven't had any issues with wiping it down. It's a great refrigerator. It's built to last.

    I went in a store and I got a package. I got the Viking range, fridge, dishwasher, and microwave. I love my kitchen. The fridge is huge, blue, and fabulous. But I could not get the handles in gold. The microwave did not come in blue. So, I had to take a silver one, a stainless steel. I wanted them all to match, but since the handles were stainless steel, I figured it pulled everything together. I have gold handles on all of the cabinets and my sink, faucet, and the burners on the Viking stove are brass.

    The fridge is giant. It holds everything, it's got plenty of drawers for all different stuff, like your charcuterie, cheeses, vegetables, and fruits. It's got lots of adjustable shelving. But it did not have an egg keeper. I'm wondering if I might have gone online to just find one, but I just bought an ice bucket thing that's long and slender, and the eggs fit well inside it. It fits on the slender on the shelf, much like the clear one that came with my stainless fridge up here in Jersey. There are those little things that are a bummer. Otherwise, the thing is great. I would remind myself to ask about water because I am happy that it's not in the door. And when you get water in the Viking, you get it on the inside, not on the outside. When you open it, there's a little thing on the side. But I didn't get that. My friend has it. But I don't drink that much water, so it's okay for me.

    Viking Refrigerators is a bit cheaper with everything else, and a couple of free incentives made it cheaper than other products. But I had to replace the icemaker in the fridge already. The top shelf in the refrigerator freezes. When the icemaker tray distributes ice, it gets caught in the arm all the time and shuts the icemaker off. And there ares some trim pieces that you would think for the money, it would match for the fridge. But they're white, so you can see the whiteness on the outside edges of the refrigerator. But the people that come out are nice.

    I have found that my Viking Refrigerator has a problem on which I have spent hundreds of dollars to repair. However, at this time it has been classified as a problem that cannot be repaired. Specifically, fruits and vegetables in the fruit and vegetable drawer freeze. The authorized Viking repair company has been unable to fix this problem and Viking has been unable to tell me or their authorized repair company how to fix this problem. Bottom line is that I am left with a multi-thousand dollar refrigerator that is not usable as it is and cannot be repaired. I, personally, would never purchase another Viking product, especially a refrigerator, because Viking does not stand behind its products.

    Viking's quality is not as I expected. I thought it would be much higher quality. Our fridge just stopped working properly. We’ve had a technician come out many times and eventually, we have a new refrigerator that was swapped by Viking, but still it took many years to get here. Also, their customer service has been very good lately, but a year or so ago, it was very bad. It seems that there are a few people who changed post there and it got better.

    Our Viking refrigerator is good-looking and has a lot of space. I also like the temperature controlled doors. But there's no water dispenser with a filter and we wish that it had that. The door says we need to replace the water filter and I'm guessing to the ice box, but we don't actually have a place to get water from the fridge. Also, when our power goes out, it doesn't automatically turn back on to the temperature setting unless you click "Mute Sounds." So that means our food could go bad if we're not here to turn the refrigerator back on. Plus, my boyfriend wishes it had a bigger freezer. Other than that, everything in our kitchen is Viking and overall, we like Viking. It's great quality.

    I bought the house with Viking appliances. It's all new and not used. But for every single one of them, I had to go through some process to make them work. When the fan was not working, it was more of a Viking issue. Then, one of our microwave ovens needed to use 220-volt but the installer used a different one, so it didn't work for a while. So, the issues would either be on Viking or the training of installers. To address the issues, there was a lot of coordination and the process was very complicated. We also had a problem with the refrigerator where the temperature was higher and couldn't go lower to reach the set temperature. Then somehow, it got fixed and it's performance is good now. But overall, the quality of all my Viking appliances is great and they all work now. It just took four or five times to make sure that they did.
