This has been the biggest disaster purchase ever. Purchase during COVID because Subzero would have taken longer. First mistake! Then 15 services since 2022. Still not working. They refuse to replace this lemon of an expensive refrigerator! The worst customer service ever. Avoid at all costs! Currently the refrigerator sits at 70 degrees after a service last week. Have had to resort to two college refrigerators in my kitchen! Going to BBB to report and then considering getting an attorney!

Freezer ice drawer and fresh drawer cracked at delivery. Now out of warranty 3 more cracked drawer. Mistake not buying subzero during Covid delay. Should have waited to spend 14,000 dollars. Horrible product.

Purchased a Viking bottom freezer refrigerator in 2021. Unit was manufactured in 2020. Recently, the unit stopped cooling and freezer went hot. Ice maker would not make ice. Had a Viking authorized appliance repair company look at the unit. Was told that a fan broke causing the unit to overheat which in turn burnt out a circuit board. I was quoted $1100. 00 to repair. Contacted Viking and explained my situation. They told me they would not repair the unit nor cover any cost of the parts or repair. So a fairly new Viking refrigerator breaks with no fault of my own and that’s it. Appliances are garbage. I also own a Viking microwave, electric range and dishwasher. Terribly manufactured appliances at a ridiculously high price. Will never purchase another Viking product again.

We bought our Viking Series 7 refrigerator at the home show in 2019 because we got a great deal. $10,000 for a $18,000 refrigerator. Buyer beware. While the fridge looks beautiful and has quality interior it BROKE within 2 years and took 2 months to fix. Now only 6 years old it BROKE again and luckily still under warranty. Each time seal system had to be replaced which we were told would cost us $3,500 if not under warranty. But this time we first had to wait since Jan 4, 2025 until Mar 18 to get it fixed as the parts were on back order. So not we are 2.5 months without a fridge.
Then it is repaired and within 2 days it is BROKEN again. Did they come right back out to review what was wrong. NO. We had to wait another couple of weeks until April 14 for them to come out again because they had to get approval from Viking. So now they think they need another part and we are without a fridge for 3.5 months. We had a Kitchenaid fridge at our last home and even when we replaced it at 17 years old it was still working. We never had an issue at all. My advice is NEVER BUY A VIKING FRIDGE. They do not WORK properly. -10 stars if I could put that.

Avoid Viking Refrigerators. Constant Issues & Terrible Customer Service. If I could give zero stars, I would. Our Viking refrigerator has been nothing but a nightmare since we got it. Every single month, a new issue pops up. First the blower, then the cooling fan, then the door stopper breaking repeatedly, and let’s not forget the ice maker that constantly malfunctions.
To make matters worse, Viking refuses to honor the warranty! We are still well within our coverage period, yet they are refusing to take responsibility for a clearly defective product. Their customer service is absolutely terrible, unhelpful, dismissive, and unwilling to stand behind their appliances. For the price Viking charges, you’d expect quality, but this is by far the worst appliance purchase we have ever made. If you’re considering a Viking refrigerator, save yourself the headache and go with another brand.

The LED lights inside our 6 year-old Viking refrigerator went out simultaneously. Our reputable appliance repairman charged $1,700 to replace them, with the bulbs alone accounting for most of that expense. Our repair company advises that this is not uncommon for a Viking. Viking should disclose this hidden cost to buyers of their refrigerators. Shocking.

Installed standalone 36" fridge and freezer units about a year ago. Both units came with exceedingly noisy cooling fans that had to be replaced. The freezer performs OK, the fridge has insufficient humidity extraction and tends to condense water on the top back panel which then freezes and plugs up the drain tube. After two service calls, no improvement. Viking and local customer service point fingers at each other, and we are left dealing with the mess. We live in Florida and the fridge clearly can't handle the local humid climate.

I purchased all of my Viking appliances in 2020, they were delivered in 2021, to surprise my wife. I've had my dishwasher fixed already. My refrigerator stopped working. Paid $1100.00 and guess what? Not working again. We are so disappointed. I was under the impression these were high end appliances! Purchased at P.C. Richard & Son.

We just bought 2 brand new Viking Refrigerator. They come with a factory warranty and Viking does not stand behind their factory warranty. The units were brand new sent them the receipt for payment, delivery date, and installation and they would not accept my paperwork. Regardless the units should have a 1 year factory warranty and Viking would not come out to fix the fan that rubbing making a loud noise on a brand new unit never opened.

We made the unfortunate mistake of buying a Viking refrigerator, actually a complete Viking kitchen, but due to the defects of the refrigerator and the complete incompetence of Middleby their warranty company, I can only recommend that you stay away. We have a refrigerator that has been defective since day one, we have had at least 20 service calls from two different companies and Middleby/Viking refuses to acknowledge that this thing is just defective and does not and will never work properly. And I’m not talking about a defective light or gauges, I mean the unit literally does not keep temperature, the ice maker doesn't work and it leaks Freon into my home. The warranty company is completely unresponsive and we have had to buy a replacement out of pocket. STAY AWAY!!!

Our Viking fridge has been fine. Apparently, there was an issue with setup where someone had screwed something in the wrong way, but the delivery was fine. Setup was on time. The installer may have been the issue, but overall it was fine.

I bought a really expensive bad refrigerator. I had it one week before the issues started. The doors don't align, the seal wasn't closing, and my entire freezer was freezing. Everything was ice all the way down the back of the freezer. The ice maker won't stop making ice, so it just keeps overflowing into the bottom of the freezer. The motor in the refrigerator side is making this dreadful loud noise as well. I spent $14,000, and I'm shocked. When you spend that much money, you expect it to be perfect.
I went through the place that I bought my Viking refrigerator from. They sent out a service place to come try to fix it twice and I just said, "No, this is not okay." They were gonna replace it, and then, all of a sudden, the lady from the place I bought it from said, "Nope, sorry. Viking's gonna replace it. It's gonna be a little bit longer." I'm waiting right now for my replacement. They're supposed to be replacing it today, but they were supposed to be here between 8:00 and 12:00.

Original review: I purchased a new house 4 years ago which was equipped with a Viking fridge/freezer VCSB5423SS01. The unit starting to leak regularly water on the floor. Certified repair technician diagnosed that the defrost sensor and the high-voltage control board needed to be changed. Now the unit is out of warranty, and the cost of the repairs will be >900$. I am truly disappointed by 1) the fact that a 12k$ appliance fails that fast (tells about reliability and quality), and 2) about the fact that the constructor warranty does not cover these repairs. I definitely do not recommend this brand. Looks shiny and high-end, but the quality is not there.

My experience so far, has not been great. The first week we got the fridge, it was fine but the second week, the temp started going up for no reason at all. We called in and they sent out a tech. The first tech they sent out couldn't do anything and just pretty much confirmed what we already knew. But they said that it's a sealed system and they don't work on a sealed system. They had to go back and write in a report to Viking.
Viking sent out another repair tech who replaced the compressor on a brand-new fridge and that was working for like five days. Then, the temp started going up again on the freezer side so I called the repair tech again and called in to Viking to have it documented that it was not working. The tech came out again and they said that they needed to make a few adjustments, but there was no leak and whatnot. Hopefully, this time, it'll be good for a while before we have to call in. But so far, it's been less than a month since we had the fridge and it's already giving us problems. Although I don't have a problem reaching out to Viking and then getting a response back.

Thank you for letting us know of your experience. We deeply apologize for the issues you have encountered on your refrigerator. We're please to see the concerns have been addressed with service. While we do not anticipate any further service, please reach out to our customer care team should the need arise.

My experience with Viking has been terrible. The door handle broke on my refrigerator door. I have been waiting since September of last year to get a replacement. I get texts every month saying, "We haven't forgotten about you. Supply chain orders have still disrupted the system. We'll keep you apprised." I said, "Supply chain issues, that was three years ago. That's not today." I should not have to wait eight months to get a fix on my door. It's a terrible product, the company doesn't stand behind it and they won't support it. I'm telling everybody I know never to do a thing with Viking. I've had a Viking range and it was very good and I thought that the brand would cross over into other types of products. However, that's not the answer. So, if they can't support one, I'm never gonna do it on the range anyway. I'll never go back.

We love our Viking refrigerator. It's worth the money. I like how I can adjust the shelves, how some open from underneath and some have the little spot for my fingers. I like the size of the freezer and where the ice goes. Everything’s right where it needs to be. I'm not used to the fingerprints on the stainless steel though.

Our customers expect the very BEST and we work hard to ensure those expectations are met. Thank you for accepting nothing less. We appreciate you as a valued member of the Viking family.

We've been using Viking for quite a few decades already. We renovated the house and we had an older Viking that we got rid of and got a new one. We're disappointed with the previous models. It seems to have some issue with the temperature in the fridge part of it, the circulation. We called the place that we bought the Viking from. They were a dealer in Orange County, Los Angeles area and they sent a technician to adjust it. There were a couple of small issues with it. A sensor wire was disconnected and also a couple of little stuff. Nothing major. But they took care of it and it's working right now. It was a long delay, though. It was during the holidays and they had contractors on vacation. Viking refrigerators are good units. Just make sure to get it from a reputable dealer so they have a good tech support if they have an issue.

Overall, I'm happy with the Viking refrigerator purchase, but we got a little situation, so I'm still waiting for the part from Viking to get this repaired. It's taking longer than I expected. I keep talking, communicating with the contractor, and hopefully, I can get the part soon. The sealing system is falling down so it's not cooling anymore. My contractor, the authorized repair company in Washington State, tried to order parts for me at the end of May, but they said, because my refrigeration is not registered, and it's three weeks later, they told me the part is not ordered yet, so I have to register myself. After that, I registered online with Viking, and then they would try to order again later that week. They said Viking is not willing to warranty my part, but they fought it back. Other than that, the product is amazing. I love it. My wife loves the purchase. It's really simple, not too complicated compared to other brands, and it's really solidly built.

I bought a house and there was already a Viking refrigerator in there. It was 15 years old when we inherited it and in the three years that we owned it, it had to serviced a handful of times. It was very expensive to have it serviced. I was a little skeptical about the quality of the fridge but I had to put it into perspective that it was 15 years old. The fridge finally gave out and we needed to replace it. It was a custom-built kitchen and there's only a few different types that will fit in there. We already had a positive experience with Viking so we went there. I've been happy with it.

Thank you for giving Viking the chance to continue providing excellent service and quality. We hope you continue to enjoy your Viking products for years to come.

During the delivery, the gentlemen were very good about making sure they didn't track dirt in. Viking's got a good name and I have been pleased with my refrigerator. The only thing that's interesting is the ice. The dispenser has a sensor that automatically quits making ice. That's when the ice starts sticking together. If we don't use ice for three days and we pull it open, the ice clumps together. We have to take our ice scoop and break it up a bit. Viking said that that's the way that it is.

We are thrilled to hear you're enjoying your new refrigerator and the installers took care with your home. Thank you for letting us know your experience.

The Viking refrigerator is like any other refrigerator. There's nothing special about it. We paid about 13 grand and it's not worth the money. The price does not match the quality. Purchasing was fine, but the delivery and the actual product were not as good. First off, the refrigerator came damaged twice. One had minor cosmetic damages on it. The delivery guys were really nice and very effective in what they were saying. They said, "There's a small scratch on the outside and the alignment is slightly off. So you'll have to call Viking to send over the alignment issue." We did that. Then we waited a week for that, and I had to stay at home again for that reason. A guy came for the alignment, and I thought he was gonna fix it, but he said, "Oh, no. This comes like Vikings all the time. There's no way we can fix it. You have to get a replacement 'cause this alignment you can't fix. It has to be a replacement issue."
On the other fridge, when you open the fridge door, there was a giant clunk sound. When the second guy came, the experience was really bad at that point because they said, "Oh, your papers only say delivery, not installation." I am not gonna be able to install a giant fridge in the first place, and it was ridiculous for that assumption. I had to get into an argument with them for 20 minutes and figure out what's going on. It ended up being a mistake on their end. They installed it and I don't know what they did, but every time they opened the door of the fridge, it made a loud clunk sound. The alignment was also off. So, that was even worse. I had to wait another week for another fridge to come in.
We had to do three times replacement. There are still damages inside the third fridge that we got. On the top corner, there's like a chip slash dent in it. It's minor so it won't affect the fridge, but cosmetically, it's ugly. Inside, there are tiny dents in the white so even if you can't see it, you can feel it. There are little chips on the side where you would put the little trays on. So, it was already a defective product. At that point, we were tired of this issue and we just wanna get this over with. It was a month-long process to get a new fridge, and it was four different trips. If we had a choice, we wouldn't have purchased Viking. It breaks really easily.

Thank you for letting us know of your experience. We deeply apologize for the experience with your prior and current refrigerator. This has been forwarded to our customer care team for assistance. A representative will contact you within 24 business hours.

Although the ice maker still doesn't work, I was very satisfied because the technician that came here was able to determine that there's nothing wrong with the unit and identified that the installer was the one that didn't turn the water valve on. So I still gotta wait for the place who installed it, the place who sold it to me, to send someone to uninstall the unit and turn the water on. I love the look of the refrigerator. I had another one for 24 years, and then I replaced it with this new one at the beginning of this year. Viking does really good products.

But our home didn't make it in the home show, but Viking still stood good by the discount. That was a good thing.
I bought a fridge and a freezer. They're separate units. And I didn't realize it because the contractor took so many years to finish the house and then he ended up quitting along the way before it even got done. We had the refrigerator and the freezer installed, but the refrigerator never worked right off the bat. But even though it was several years had gone by, Viking still sent a repair guy out and he replaced a whole bunch of stuff in it and got it fixed. We didn't even know it wasn't working till just recently and it had been several years that it's been in the house installed. They were really good to work with. Once I got them all the serial numbers, they seemed to be good.

When we purchased this home, they had Viking products. We haven't had great luck with our refrigerator. There was some short between the freezer and the refrigerator and they didn't have a workaround to fix that. So, they had to replace the whole unit a couple of months ago. The other one was purchased in 2021. I just more expensive products need to last a little bit longer. We just contacted Viking after we'd had service calls. Unfortunately, we had service calls out to try and fix it. So, we've put at least a couple of thousand dollars into getting a refrigerator fixed with all the other repairs going on with the refrigerator before it got replaced. Once the problem was done, the customer service team followed up. So, that part's been smoother than getting the repair work beforehand.
