My experience with Viking has not been good. I had two issues. For the refrigerator, the cooler is not cooling. I had the service people repair it. But after two weeks, it broke again. They needed to change the computer board. For the range oven, the oven is not working. I spent a lot of money to repair it. It's out of warranty.

We had a frost build-up and the techs came out. The quality of the refrigerator has been okay so far.

When we purchased this home, they had Viking products. We haven't had great luck with our refrigerator. There was some short between the freezer and the refrigerator and they didn't have a workaround to fix that. So, they had to replace the whole unit a couple of months ago. The other one was purchased in 2021. I just more expensive products need to last a little bit longer. We just contacted Viking after we'd had service calls. Unfortunately, we had service calls out to try and fix it. So, we've put at least a couple of thousand dollars into getting a refrigerator fixed with all the other repairs going on with the refrigerator before it got replaced. Once the problem was done, the customer service team followed up. So, that part's been smoother than getting the repair work beforehand.

We bought Viking 12 years ago in our remodel. We like the size of the Viking refrigerator. I had to buy a new one because my old one never really worked. We spent $4,000 repairing it, and it didn't make sense anymore. I had a hole that I had to fill. So, had I been able to find a different refrigerator that would have fit in that hole, I would not have gotten the Viking. The fridge has been great, but I don't like the new model at all. It's smaller. It's not as deep. It’s very not functional. If I could return it and buy something different, I would.

We bought a number of appliances from Viking. They had the best range of appliances for what we needed and the best price. The refrigerator is all right. There are some issues with it, but it's an acceptable appliance. They haven't improved it. The last refrigerator of theirs we had was 22 years old, and there hasn't been a whole lot of improvements in 22 years. The doors are not well-designed. The freezer is not well-designed, particularly the ice maker. The way it is designed, the ice falls down in the back and the bottom of the fridge. The ice gets stuck in the arms, so it doesn't eject, so that it doesn't make more ice. You have to reach in there and manually eject it.

The fridge has got the water tap inside and I'm used to having it outside. Also, the ice is outside. But it's great. It's high quality. I bought the fridge online and by telephone with my representative, Craig, at Ferguson. It was dropped off and then, the general contractor installed it and screwed everything up. But we got it straightened out. The electrician and the installers of the general contractor botched everything on the range and dishwashers. There was a little something wrong with the range but it was fixed by warranty by Viking.

Our customers expect the very BEST and we work hard to ensure those expectations are met. Thank you for accepting nothing less.

I purchased a 33 inch new Viking refrigerator in 2018 for a new construction. I did not start using it until 2020. In the last 4 years I had 4 service calls spending about $2500.00. Now the service company says it needs a new coil as the Freon may be leaking and will cost anywhere $2500 to $3500. I told them that I will junk the refrigerator and buy something else, other than Viking. Will never recommend Viking to anyone.

When it works, it's great. I love the feel. However, my Viking refrigerator broke after 6 months so I don't feel very good about the quality at all. The door and the switch that lets the refrigerator know if it's open or closed broke. Viking has you reach out to an independent service provider then they'll connect you with a local rep but that rep never comes back. My dishwasher and range are broken too. Their customer service that I've been dealing with is tearing my family apart because everything is broken and it takes so much time. We got them through Best Buy and that was horrible as well. With the pandemic supply chains, everything took long and it was also trying to figure things out with Best Buy. They have zero customer service in regards to that.

The Viking refrigerator is the worst I ever had. This is the second one because they couldn't fix the first one. It was broken for months and they tried replacing parts. Finally, they were gonna start replacing parts again. I said, "Stop, just give me a new refrigerator." It was since before Thanksgiving until three months later, and finally, we got a new refrigerator. The team at Viking was really nice, and I know they wanted to fix it but it took forever. Every time they come out, they replace a part. Then, "Oh, it's not it. We gotta order another part." We waited a couple more weeks and they would say, "Oh, that's not it." The whole process was messed up. They were not thinking about, "Oh, you don't have a refrigerator? You're living without a refrigerator while I take all this time to try to fix it." I mentioned that and Viking gave us some money to rent a refrigerator. So, we ended up doing that.

For refrigerators, I'd recommend a different brand. Considering the amount that we spent on our new Viking refrigerator, I expected more quality out of it. When it was installed, the door seals around the doors were uneven. The unit is also starting to make a weird vibration noise, and I can't place where it's coming from. I need to get with a provider, but I'm not sure exactly who can fix it because it is under warranty.

I like the refrigerator. I like the water in the door and where the cold water is inside. I also like the ice container. It's a good size and I like the action on it. It feels substantial. But Viking should increase the warranty on it to five to seven years, which is what you can get with other companies. Sub-Zero gives a better warranty.

It took a long time to get the refrigerator. But the ice machine never worked. They tried to fix it and sent a tech out. Now, they're just gonna replace the refrigerator.

Viking has always been very reliable. I used to build restaurants and all of our equipment was Viking. However, it took me so long to get the refrigerator and I had to pay so much for it I figured Viking owes me because I've had nothing but problems with it. I've had it two and a half years and it's broken down three times. It's an inferior product now. They've got good ideas on it, but they build it with inferior electronics. I didn't expect Viking to go out within a year and be an electronic problem with thermistors and the sensor side of it. I replaced the ice maker three times 'cause the quality sucks. But the refrigeration side is smart the way it does and it cleans the air. You don't have to vacuum them out.
They say it has a three-year warranty but it doesn't. It has a two-year warranty. Viking used to have a 15-year warranty, top to bottom. Now, it's garbage. You can't even get anybody to work on it. Everybody I talked to down in Mississippi was very perfunctory in their resolutions of how to do things but the responsiveness was ridiculous. What normally should take two days took a month. I ended up having the dealer because all of the people that Viking recommended were outrageous and the paperwork that Viking does is very archaic.

Viking was one of the few that offered the size I needed with an over-under refrigerator and I love the quality so far. For a 36-inch built-in fridge, it has a lot of space and I like the drawers because they're easy-close drawers. Also, the doors have magnets. Things don't fly out when you open the doors because the doors stay closed. If you're going for a professional appliance that is built-in, Viking is a better bang for the buck versus some of the others.

Some say it's not what's on the outside but the inside that matters. Viking believes both are important. The appearance makes a customer open THAT door. Thank you for upgrading with our brand.

I bought a home that the builder purchased the appliances, and I do not like the Viking refrigerator. The quality is not there. In my previous home, I had a Sub-Zero and I'm going to replace it with one. The Sub-Zero has a sturdy door, and Viking refrigerator's door does not compare. The interior drawers for fruit or vegetables are very small as well.

Viking seemed like it was a good brand of restaurant quality and made in the US, which was important. We've only had the refrigerator for less than a month installed. I like it. I got it because it has a flat front and the water is on the inside. And I love the ice maker in the freezer and not on the door. The door is open and shut. Everything feels sturdy. The freezer door is heavy. And so far, everything seems a very high quality.

We had a Viking and it broke. I thought it would last longer. We didn't use it a lot. So, I replaced it with another Viking. We got the same one. The only difference is the stainless steel door fronts. And they were like a BOGO that if you purchased it, you got a 17-piece cook set. The rep knew exactly the size for the built-in. He looked it up, found it, and gave me that great BOGO deal. The fridge would last more than 10 years.

I like the size and space that the Viking Refrigerator occupies. It is fine. But we also bought a dishwasher and that was four months ago and we never received it. We're disappointed, overall, with the way that it's servicing that. I have been on their website and I was trying to email some of the people that are listed as far as customer service care and none of their emails existed.

Our kitchen is all Viking. We had a Viking refrigerator for 18 years that was beautiful but it decided to stop working right before Thanksgiving and Christmas five years ago. So, we got this new one. We paid $10,000 for it because it had to fit right in the specific spot, and then the price for tax and shipping. It was very expensive. We also had to pay for the guys to install it. The problem is we've had it not very long and all the LED lights went out. They came in and put new LED lights in, but for some reason, they used the caulking that turned it all yellow. The lights went out again and they pulled them out and replaced a couple instead of a bunch of strips. Then we just had someone come out. The guy came out recently because the defrosting for the refrigerator stopped working for the freezer. So, it made the refrigerator not work.
It's a horrible refrigerator. The other day, I had a soda explode in the refrigerator portion because it's too cold. It's too late now to even do anything and we're probably gonna get our kitchen remodeled, but we're not too interested in using Viking again. It's been a nightmare. It never has worked from day one. It's pretty, but we had to have one of the drawers replaced because the whole drawer and the assembly are all plastic. They don't make them like they used to. The guy we spoke to at Viking to replace the drawer was very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful.
Everybody’s been really helpful. It’s just the actual product is sucky. We had to pay 350 for a plastic drawer. It’s dumb. As far as the Viking contractors, they are very rough and tumble, but they get the work done. They know what they're doing. They're very experienced. We're thankful that they would do that work, but they're not the sweetest guys you've ever met. They're very knowledgeable though, and we love that. Viking has been responsive. We might just have gotten a lemon.

My experience with Viking so far has been okay, but a little complicated. The delivery was fine except the computer inside the first refrigerator didn't work, so we had to have it returned and get another one sent out. After we got the second one sent out, the people who did the delivery refused to put in the grill pieces, so we had to do that ourselves. Within a week of getting the new refrigerator, something went wrong with the door close mechanism, so we had a Viking serviceperson come out for the minor repair. The refrigerator seems a little delicate and like it's gonna be a bit high maintenance, but hopefully, it will last a long time and be fine.
This French door version is gonna be a little finicky because the door close on the right-hand side involves this piece that swings out and catches, but it's fine. Overall, we're happy with it. It's a nice-looking refrigerator and no other complaints about that. It's also nice to open just one side of the refrigerator instead of opening both doors, but because of the way the drawers are, I have to open both sides to open the drawers within the refrigerator. If those drawers had been divided, then I could do more with just one side. Another thing I don't like is that the price went down shortly after we bought the refrigerator, and that makes me a little nervous that they're going to discontinue it or do something that's gonna cause it to be harder to care for.

I'm a home builder and Viking is a very upper-level appliance that we like to use. I've had several units as well. The quality is good, and their ovens are especially good. I had a problem with one of their refrigerators, but they warrantied it, so it was all good.

It seems it's true - good friends are treasures. Viking strives to create a positive and lasting experience. Thank you for entrusting us to make life a bit easier.

I've tried to register the Viking fridge on their website and it would not go through, but I hadn't had time to call someone about it. Besides that, so far, so good. I like that the fridge keeps things cold. It has a beer setting on one of the drawers.

We purchased the Viking refrigerator from a dealer, Friedman's Appliance, through the Viking rep, and the delivery was fine, but it took a year. I've been using the refrigerator for approximately three months, and it's quiet, streamlined, and for lack of a better term, not frilly. My particular model doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but it does its job and the simplicity of it all was what attracted me, in addition to the reputation.

This brings us great joy knowing the quality of our products is in such high regard. Thank you for your comments.

I purchased a home with a Viking refrigerator, and the quality is low from my experience. I've had part of it break already. There's a magnetic piece that is in-between the two doors to create a seal and that's broken. I've also had issues with the ice maker. When I pull the freezer door out, ice falls out of the back of the freezer and I have to pick up ice every other time I open up the freezer, which is frustrating.
When I called in to see what could be done, Viking said that I need to have it repaired by somebody local and that it wouldn't be covered under any kind of warranty for the product, which is also frustrating. The ice piece has not been repaired. Meanwhile, I've had to repair the magnetic piece on several occasions as well as purchase parts myself. It hasn't been the easiest from a consumer relationship perspective, and I would suggest people look at other options.

I was replacing a Viking that had gone bad. The guy came to fix my old refrigerator and that didn't work. He didn't do the right thing and didn’t know what to do. He got an inverter. He had trouble getting Viking to respond and said that if I called them directly, I'd probably get good service. I called Middlesex and they sent it instantly. They were awesome. My refrigerator is beautiful. It made noises at first but now, it doesn't. So, it seems fine. I was very pleased with the response from the dealer and Viking honored what they said they would do.
In mid-December, they said they would have it at the end of January and they did. I got the pots and pans special and those came very quickly after that. They're wonderful. I love the lights that are on the sides of the inside of the refrigerator. You open that thing up and it's light and bright. I like it a lot. I've got a Viking stove I like and a Viking cooktop, which probably I need to have fixed. It's not quite right but it's quite complicated to fix it. I don't like that idea.

The same Viking refrigerator I had before was in the door, water and ice, and it was a terrible design. The pipe was too small for the water, so it froze all the time and the ice got clogged in the actuator that gets it from the bucket to the door into your glass. Even the technicians that fix it told me that it was a poor design. So, I went with one that has no water in the door and no ice in the door now. It keeps the food cold and frozen. I prefer the way the ice machine is now compared to the last one.

The refrigerator sounded like a small lawn mower when it turned on when it first got here. It was really, really, really loud. So they had them come out and they replaced the fan and did some things, and it's a lot better. So that was okay. Originally, I was putting in my warranty calls for my Viking appliances through the dealer. But after about the third time, I started calling Viking directly because I wanted to figure out what was going on here and they have been spectacular as far as customer service goes. They've been really communicative. I don't wait long on the phone. As we're talking about it, we're sending emails back and forth, and it gets pretty much all wrapped up by the time I hang up. So, they've been really, really good. But Viking gotta tighten up their manufacturing quality.

Six months ago in June, we bought from a third-party dealer here. I've been trying to contact Viking because we were told that we would qualify for a rebate in the appliance place where we purchased the refrigerator. So, we went ahead and got that refrigerator thinking that we would get a $1,100 back. They gave us the cashback paperwork, told us how to send it back in and do that. But when we started that process, we were told by Viking that we didn't qualify for that rebate. I'm touching back base with it again. And it turned out because K & N Appliance gave us a discount on that refrigerator, I did not know it would disqualify us from getting that rebate. That was an unfortunate experience. But Viking got back with me about that. They said that we needed to take that up with the appliance place, which I could understand it was not Viking’s fault that we were under false pretenses with the appliance store.

I saw one Viking refrigerator at the showroom. This was at Designer Appliances, and the one that was delivered was different because it was a newer model, apparently. I liked the old model, frankly. Also, I was not informed that I needed to have the kick plate as an accessory. My assumption was that kick plate came with it. The scooper in the ice machine is really cheesy and it broke the first time we used it. It was surprising for something that has the Viking name on it. We had to replace that with something more robust. The other issue is that the handle on the freezer comes loose. It fell off the other day and I was able to just put it back on, but it seems not very stable. I'm waiting to hear back on a rebate from Viking Refrigerators and I haven't heard anything. Other than those, they delivered the refrigerator right away after I ordered it and the people who delivered it were great. Also, the freezer door drawer has a nice depth. The last one I had wasn't as deep.

The Viking refrigerator is not of good quality. When the fridge was delivered to me, the front doors were totally upside down. They were not aligned to each other. One door was a little up, while the other was a little low. Also, I paid $900 for the installation when I purchased the fridge. These are the cabinet fridges, so there is a jack at the bottom of the fridge to align it and the guys who came for the installation broke the jack of the fridge. Now, the fridge is not aligned at all.
I had to book an appointment with some service providers, and they took one and a half months to come and fix the door alignment. Still, they are going to come next month because they did not fix everything. When I asked them to fix the fridge alignment, they said, "No, it's not part of that because the people who installed the fridge broke the jack at the bottom." I have the installation receipt, but I don't know where to catch these guys. Now, I'm paying the service provider $990 to replace the jack. After paying for installation, I have to pay again to fix what the installers broke on the fridge. The next appointment the service provider gave me is Feb 13th. So, still, my fridge is not fully installed.
I have all the documents, and the service provider took all the pictures. The guy told me that I should complain to Viking about how the installation was done and what was broken. I have a report from the service provider who came for the warranty as well. It was a bad installation. He never saw this kind of installation for such an expensive cabinet fridge. I will never recommend to anyone to buy this fridge at all because the installation is a pain.
