SunSetter Awnings Reviews

Our safari with SunSetter awnings started on 4 April 2022, with two mechanized awnings; one 4' X 7' and one 13' X 18'. They arrived about two months later and the 18' was dropped from the delivery truck and bent. Installers said it wasn't bent. However, when operating, it was obvious the big tube was bent. I contacted the retailer and got into the biggest denial storm one can imagine. I contacted the company, sought resolution and got it. A new tube was installed and everything worked fine.

The rep was very helpful and explained everything from top to bottom. The awning was installed within two weeks, which was quick, and the quality is very good. SunSetter had different incentives. We ended up getting a free retractor when the wind blows up, which was an extra that they threw in.

Everyone was cordial and I appreciated them. The installers did a great job. They laid their stuff out and cleaned up afterwards. They touched up the frame of the awning with paint and gave us instructions on how to use the remote and which screws we had to adjust if we had to pivot it up. We like how the awning looks. But based on the way that the sun goes down at the back of our house, I thought we would get a little bit more shade than what we are getting.

The installers were very courteous and conscientious and they did a really good job. The awning they installed is 18 feet wide and 10 feet extended. It's striped and it's automatic. We like it a lot.

The rep was very thorough in explaining what the awning did. The techs came to install it right away and it works great. They completed the installation in less than two hours. We're very happy with the retractable awning. If you're looking for an awning, then you ought to consider the SunSetter.

Working with the rep was very positive and the timeline for installation was very good. It took six weeks which was very doable for us. The quality is great and the awning is working really well. If you need an awning, SunSetter is a good one to go with.

I needed something here for our new house and used SunSetter. I had them before. Everything went fine with the installation. The awning keeps the sun out. SunSetter is very good.

I had always wanted an awning and in the last house I lived in, one couldn't be installed because of the height involved. This house that I just moved to had the perfect height for it, so I was excited. I had SunSetter come and assess in my former home and I liked their overall manner and honesty so I went with them when I did it out here. The installers were fabulous. They were bright and capable, and spoke English. It was excellent. The awning is motorized and has lights on it. I’m very happy with it. I would recommend SunSetter. They did a good job when they came to assess in the beginning. They were prompt and efficient. Everything about it was good.

The SunSetter awning is not as good as I thought it would be. I'm not happy at all because I barely use it. The only time I can use it is when the sun is directly over and it's not over very long because it's in the back of my house and that's when the sun sets and it comes in the side. Also, I'm not happy with the price. It's false advertising. I wasn't happy with the salesman because he kept saying that I was lying when I said it was 1,700. It says that right on TV you can get them as low as 1,700. He said they don't have anything like that. But I'm wondering if he overcharged me. 4,400 is a lot of money just for that. He said if I don’t make up my mind, he couldn’t give me the same deal. I don't like to be pressured like that either. I didn't like him at all. But the guy that installed the awning was a nice guy and did a good job.

The sales rep was very helpful and the timeline was pretty much what they expected. Also, the installers did a great job.

I contacted SunSetter and they sent somebody out in two days. They gave me a price to replace the awning that I had. It was a price that was affordable for me, so I went with it. They gave me a delivery time that it could be done and they did everything they said. It was perfect. The guys who came out for the installation were good and knew what they were talking about.

The local SunSetter representative came and did the installation. They cleaned up after themselves and showed me how to use the remote. I had two awnings put up and they're perfect.

Our backyard in the afternoon gets really hot. We thought the SunSetter would cover our whole backyard, but it doesn't. When we roll it down in the afternoon, there's still sun in the backyard. The sun seems like it comes right underneath, and we still get sun on the concrete. My wife said it was a waste of my money. But we had a great experience with the team while purchasing it. The installation team showed us how it would work. But my wife said they didn't let us know about the way the direction of the sun. They just told her there would be shade.

SunSetter Awnings' rep showed us what options were available and the fabric. It was a great experience. Our awning is perfect. We like it a lot. We have lights and the extended apron.

SunSetter Awnings answered some questions, submitted what we wanted, and directed us to an installer. Ours is the largest awning. It has the motion detection and the color is mushroom. It matches our home well. The other option that was offered to me was the bronze trim, which is an extra in some installers. But it was available and we got it. And it makes a big difference. The installers kept in touch with me about when they were coming. And when they got here, they were pleasurable gentlemen. They did what they needed to do, and in a very timely manner. They were neat. And the installation was flawless. They did instructional and made sure everything worked properly, asked if we had any questions. The installers had trouble getting matching flashing, but they accomplished that. It was a very nice experience. The awning is expensive but worth it.

I wanted something automatic, push a button and go in and out. SunSetter was more reputable so I chose their awning. Purchasing it went pretty smoothly. It was a good experience. My awning is beige and it's 16 by 13. A contractor was hired for the installation and he was awesome. He set that thing up in less than an hour. He cleaned up too. He had to come back later and install the LED lights. That was cool. The lights are on the arms when the awning folds in and out. The light is bright and it's like daylight back there on the porch. I can enjoy it longer especially in the wintertime because that's when I'm down there the most. I can stay out there when it gets hot a little longer as well. Get a SunSetter. I love mine.

The sales rep of SunSetter had samples and we took them outside. We undid them from his binder and we held them up to the house and they were good. I liked that the awning was attached to the roof. It has an automatic remote control. We just push a button and it comes down. We also like the vertical shade that comes down from the awning. The installation was very good. He took the time to show us, and then we got to operate the controls ourselves. He watched as we tried it out. Our kitchen is attached to the deck that the awning is on, and it's making our kitchen cooler, also.

I like their price. The sales rep was really good. He was excellent. Gave us all the information that we had looked into. Our contractor installed it, but then we were having problems with the motor. So we had some install guys come by to look at it, and they were awesome. We're very well pleased with the quality of the awning as well.

I had to follow up with them for install dates after they have received the awning on hand. They didn't call me. But that would be more of the install people than SunSetter specifically. When they did the installation, they showed up on time. They pretty much asked me where I wanted it to make sure it was proper with the specifications that it was ordered. They proceeded to then try to mount the awning and drill holes in my house and realized that they weren't going to hit the studs. So they had to move the location, and then left holes in my house. But the guys were nice and polite.

I had an awning for about 20 years and it finally gave in. I got a new one from SunSetter and everything was fine. I gave them a phone call to the phone number that was on the internet and they got me somebody in the area that was a dealer, then they made an appointment and came out to see me and everything went from there. The only thing is it showed on the internet all these things like a gas grill and the lights and stuff that were included for free, but when I got mine, I didn't get anything like that and I couldn't figure out why. So, I called them and they said because it was a dealer and not the direct business. I spent over $5,000 and it was $830 for installation and labor, which I didn't mind. Then, I see again on the internet about all this free stuff that you can get if you just call. I thought, "Well, I called, but I didn't get anything like that."

SunSetter Awnings went above and beyond what they had to do. They had a little problem with my electrical outlet that was dead there. And they searched and found out what the problem was and fixed that for me. I'm 80 years old, I was a little cloudy on the instructions, and they went over them until I understood them. They were good guys. And in the whole installation, they found that my sump pump was not working correctly and they told me about that. Experience was great. Go to these people that I used.

With what's been happening with my build in the past two years, SunSetter is the only ones that have come through with doing exactly what they told me they were gonna do, and I am enjoying it immensely. Everything went smoothly with the gentleman who came out and gave me the information. He did the measurements. He gave me all the information that I needed to know. Overall, the SunSetter team was very informative. We seem to have gotten along really fine. The installation went smoothly. They came in, put the awning up, gave me the information, and told me how to maintain it. It went like clockwork. I use the awning down all the time. I got a 12x12 new deck that was put in that needed cover. Everything else is under cover. I use it for entertaining. I used to sit out in the afternoon, having a drink with friends, and that's how I use it. I would tell others to go with SunSetter because it's worth the money.

I had a horrible experience with SunSetter. They sent me to Suncraft, who, with their installer The Awning Boys, are not doing their work. The awning doesn't work the way I paid for it and what's most frustrating is I can't deal with anybody. The salesperson was terrific but the second the sale was made, she disappeared on me and won't communicate with me. One of my prerequisites was I had to be able to operate this device on my mobile phone. She said they have this wonderful system called Somfy and I paid $250 for it but they never got it set up. There are problems with it and no one seems to know anything about how to get it working.

The rep from SunSetter was very pleasant and prompt. We had to wait to get approval because we had to submit to a certain process with our HOA. Once we got that, he had to order it. There was a little bit of a waiting period for him and then, he came. His workmen were very prompt in terms of when they said they would show up. They weren't there that long and their work was done neatly.

We wanted more shade on our deck so we got an awning from SunSetter. We liked the name and the quality. The sales rep was good. The people that came and installed the awning was quick. The only thing is we got one balance that was wrong, but they're fixing that. We ordered additional parts, too. I ordered the metal awning, the metal cover and side panels. So, they're gonna come all at once and do it.

We're good with SunSetter other than they keep sending us emails, offering us discounts. We can get a free grill if we do it. But we've already got a SunSetter and we didn't get anything free. We spent almost $5,000. It's an expensive and pretty product. We get lots of compliments on it. But you see this white cord hanging. It has to be seen from where the plug is. It's on the same side, but it's way up there. I would think that there'd be a way of hiding that. Also, the plug takes up so much room that we can't use the other outlet without using an extension cord to put in it.

SunSetter's rep, Mike, was excellent and he didn't waste time. He laid out all the things I needed to know and answered all my questions. When I called for different things before they even put my awning in, the person who answered the phone was excellent as well. Then, two guys came out for the installation and they installed it when they said they would. They were very nice and very professional. They did exactly what they were supposed to do and there was no chit-chat or messing around. They were really good and they cleaned up after themselves. I've also loved the awning ever since. It's electric and has a blue-grayish stripe of color. It looks beautiful. In fact, we had company last week and they were completely taken aback because it has lights and we also have a fire pit. We were out there at night and it was great.

We originally ordered a retractable SunSetter awning back in March and we were told that it could be four weeks or so before the awning came in and before the installers could come out and install it. So we had a time line, but the time line came and went with no awning. When we called, they said the manufacturer was moving from Massachusetts to Texas, so they were experiencing a delay. We waited a couple of weeks, then we called the provider back and they said our awning arrived, but one of the arms was bent, so they were going to reorder

SunSetter said what they were gonna do and they did what they said. The installation was very smooth and easy. They were in and out within an hour. We have the awning open every day when the sun's out. It keeps the kitchen cool. It's a good product.

I was very pleased with SunSetter. The team that came out was excellent. They jumped in there and had the awning put up within an hour. However, I didn't like that it came with an 18-foot cord and they had to run it up to the top of my overhang then run it down 'cause there was already an electrical outlet there. Also, it took quite a while. I thought it was gonna be four to five weeks before they came but it was ten. The guy did not call me. I called him because I paid half of it down, where I had to pay the other half when they installed, which was what we did. Apparently, he had to come in the next day. He said that there was slow shipping.

The installers weren't here more than an hour and a half so they made it easy. So many times, when you get something in your house, it becomes a pain. To get it installed, and then something's wrong and they need to come back. But that was not the case. This was a perfect installation. We love our SunSetter awning. Everything seems to be in good working order at this point and I didn't even know how much we needed it. This awning gives us almost an additional room on our house. That's how nice it is.

The rep from SunSetter came out to the house and showed us samples, and the installers who came were good. I sat and watched them all the time, and I'm satisfied with the awning. It's good so far. However, I'm dissatisfied with the $700 price. It's not worth that much money. Four years ago, I could buy that for half that. Also, in my area, the average wind is about eight miles an hour and we get gusty stuff. The awning sticks out 13 feet, and I've thought about putting a support by the pool here and it would come in and out. As I put the awning out, I would just clip it in the groove and that would help it from jerking if the wind blew. Because even though they have the monitor on there, if you get a big gust, by the time the monitor says too much wind, it could rip the awning right off the house.

SunSetter Awnings gave me an appointment. They told me when they would be here with us. They came out and put the awning up. They were very nice and we were happy. Anybody that comes to the house, we always show the awning to them.

So far, so good. The awning works. However, the delivery was very poor. They came out with the incentives after I ordered my SunSetter but the local distributor would not apply those, so I didn't get any.

Working with the rep was a positive experience. The installers were here when they said they were gonna be and they did a nice job installing the awning. I like the shade it provides. My SunSetter works for me.

The gentleman that came out seemed very knowledgeable. He measured, answered my questions, and that's why I went with SunSetter. They were good with the installation, but there were two small holes in the fabric of the awning cover. They said the fabric would just be tossed anyway and I could use the awning. Meanwhile, they submitted a request for a replacement cover. They have no control over when I get the replacement though. I called last week and Ariel at SunSetter called the manufacturer again and they said that it was being shipped, but I still haven't received it.

I dealt with the owner of the branch that did the installation of my SunSetter awning and when he came out, he gave me a quote. He also brought a book of all the choices for the materials and there were samples, so you could feel them. He explained the differences between different types of materials, and their pros and cons. We agreed to move forward, then I got a call from a woman from the office who scheduled the appointment for the installation. After that, the installers showed up as scheduled and the work was completed. They came when I wasn't available, which was fine with me. But by the time I got home, everything was installed and cleaned up. There were no issues and so far, the awning is good. It's motorized, so you press the button on the remote and it opens and closes. I was very happy with my experience and I would recommend SunSetter.

The rep was very thorough and he completely explained everything to us. We got a 16-foot beige awning. The installation went fine until they were completely done when my wife noticed that it wasn't the right awning. The installers left the one we got and said they would order the right one. We've been using this one and when it's rolled up, you can see the roll. But we had purchased the semi-cassette cover with our awning.

I got online and put in my name and email address, and then I was contacted by Archer, a guy in Ohio from the SunSetter distributor. Then they sent a fellow out, and I sat down and talked with him, and ended up purchasing an awning. He was very nice and he seemed knowledgeable enough. The only complaint I had was that after I purchased it and I gave him half down, it took about eight weeks before it was installed.

It was very good with SunSetter when we reached out to them and the man that put it in was excellent. The whole thing was seamless and from the time that I called to the time that he came, it was very quick. I would recommend him to anybody.

Everything was positive with SunSetter. The guys who came in for installation were real professional and did a good job. They were quick and they cleaned up. We had an issue with the motor where the awning was going in and out when it was new. They got a new one and put it back up. Everything was fine. If you can afford a SunSetter awning, buy one.

Purchasing the SunSetter awning from the dealer was a very positive experience. The fellow came out and went through the options and the different fabrics. He was very polite and kind. During the installation, the main fellow, Jim, and his coworker arrived a little bit early. My husband was here and showed them where everything was going and got the garage open so they could get to the awning. They were super polite, great to work with, very informative and showed us all the things that we needed to do or be aware of. They have an annual cleaning service that they provide which I was super grateful to hear about, so I told them to put me on their call list. They make sure that there's no mold and mildew and my impression was there's a protective type cleaner on it and it helps the fabric last longer. They check on the mechanics of it and make sure everything looks like it's working well.

They were good at listening to what I needed and it was a quick process. I went with a motorized awning and it matches well with the house. It turned a normal pool area where there's no shade to somewhere we can hang out and people are comfortable.

I purchased a very expensive umbrella, and then it wasn't gonna work, and I thought, “Rather than spend that much for it, I'm gonna look into getting one of those awnings." All my neighbors here have SunSetter, and that's what I ended up with. The SunSetter team was really awesome. I was totally pleased. There are not many purchases that I make that I'm super happy with, but this is one of them that I have been. They had sent a salesman out because I had no idea what these things ran. I didn't know if it was gonna cost me $2,000 or $5,000. So, they sent a person out here, and it was more money than I had wanted to spend. Then he said, “Well, we have one in stock.” It wasn't the style and size I wanted. I initially said yes. Then when the kid left, I called the company and I got the owner. I said, “I don't wanna get something that I'm not gonna be completely happy with.”

The Sunsetter Awning has awesome quality. Not cheap, but that's okay. You get what you pay for. They also put it in when they said it was gonna be put in.

The salesperson from SunSetter who came out seemed knowledgeable. He was a good person and that was one of the reasons why we went with them. Their price was good, too. The installation went well but they didn't put the awning exactly where I wanted them to, so I may have them come out and move it a little bit. Other than that, the awning provides shade and it's doing what I wanted it to do. But I was expecting something a little more attractive when they were rolled up. SunSetter should have versions that are more expensive, but would look better. They're called a cassette where it rolls up and hides the whole thing better. But it was my fault because I just assumed that what I ordered was a cassette type and I never really asked for a picture of what it was going to look like when it was installed. And SunSetter didn't offer various types. But I'm still happy with them.

I heard that Sunsetter was a good company, and they proved to be a good company. The rep was a very nice man. He came out and showed us everything that we needed to look at. He showed us colors and gave us his opinion on some of the different things that we didn't need that we thought we needed. He steered us away from getting too much on it that we wouldn't use. The installation was great. They came in, told us what they were gonna do, and within two and a half hours at the most, they had everything done and were explaining the remote to me. We thought they were ridiculous saying that it would lower the temperature by 10 to 20 degrees when you put the awning out, but it actually does lower the temperature quite a bit.

The crew that came to install did a good job. They came in and did what they needed to do. They were thorough. We got the one with the lights, the remote, and the wind sensor. However, I don't know what wind speed would trigger it. I've had it half open and I'd see the flags and the trees blowing but it was not closing.

We were gonna get an awning up in New York, but my house wasn't configured right, then we moved to North Carolina. We have a nice large patio, and we needed something to cover it. To build a screen room was a lot more expensive, so we decided to go with an awning. The SunSetter team was fantastic. They suggested a different way to the way I wanted it mounted, and it looks much better than I visualized. They have a lot of experience. They knew exactly how to mount it and they had it centered just right. I'm very meticulous and these guys said, "Don't worry, we're very meticulous too." It was perfect. About a week later, they passed by, knocked on the door and said, "We're in the neighborhood. We just wanna make sure everything's adjusted right." They came back here and made a couple of adjustments without me even calling them. They were very good.

Our Sunsetter Awning was installed in 2019 in a home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The SECOND motor needs to be replaced at a cost of approximately $600 w/o installation. At best, we open the awning 20 times a summer. We've just been told that we should have covered the motor to protect it from the weather (first time we heard this recommendation). Very unhappy with Sunsetter.

When the rep came to the house, he showed all the models and warranties. The installers did a good job. I asked him about getting the LED light and he said that I was supposed to receive something in the mail about the discounts. But I haven't received anything.

The awning that we got is 11-feet off the ground, and it goes up 14-feet wide, and 11-feet deep. It is remote controlled and we got lights on it. We love it. The installation guys were very friendly and professional. They did a really nice job. They cleaned up after themselves. The salesman was also the installer. So we had a really good relationship with him. The awning has excellent quality. We use it to block the sun, and it gives us some more shade in that one part of the house. We have a dock with a nice view of the lake. So it gives us the ability to sit out there when the sun is really, really hot.

The sales representative, Brian, was good. The installer called and asked if he could bring his eight-year old son with him. He came and did a great job installing the awning. It works great. It's got a remote control. It looks good and it's what we expected.

Overall, I was not happy. The awning they installed at my house has a very short cord. They had to bring another guy to have an extension cord and put it outside. They told me SunSetter doesn't provide longer cords, which for the outdoor is a little bit cumbersome because not everywhere in the house you have an outdoor outlet. They connected a few parts of the cords, taped it and installed it like that. I told the guy who installed it that it was not acceptable to me and he had to fix it. I contacted the guy who I bought the awning from. They were his team. I said, "I don't accept it. It has to be changed. It's a very dangerous thing that they put in there." Finally, he sent another person yesterday and fixed that problem.

My sales experience with Sunsetter was excellent. The installers were very clean and efficient. We got everything that was offered including the wind sensor, the side screen, the front screen, the remote, the lights and the extended care. I would have gotten the cassette, but I was unaware that it was available. That was the only disappointment in it.

My experience with SunSetter was a little rocky in the middle. When I met with the agent, he was great, very kind, pleasant, and full of knowledge and information. I picked my awning, made the order, and paid the first part of it. Then, we had some issues. For whatever reason, it took a long time to get the product. He originally told me it would be maybe five to six weeks after I purchased it and I ended up calling six weeks after I purchased it to see when could I expect them to set it up.

SunSetter's team was just great. The person that sold it to us was from the area and he was honest and down to earth. Also, the installers were terrific. They were willing to answer questions and explained how to do it and how to work the system. We even had a question about four weeks after and called them and he called back. We did have one little problem, though. When I first contacted SunSetter, I got a salesperson from Crestview Florida. We didn't hear anything for a while so I had to call back and I finally got in touch with the salesperson out of Foley. He didn't know we called the person in Crestview. There was a lack of communication between the initial call and the salesperson that works out of Foley.

When the rep came, my husband had kind of said we would get it and I was surprised at the price. It was a lot more expensive than I thought it was going to be. It was awfully expensive. But if I get several years out of it and enjoy it, it's worth it. Also, I thought SunSetter would install the awning and I was expecting somebody who work for them but they do contractors. I was very happy with the end result, though. We don't have as many electrical outlets as the new homes do so to get to the one electrical outlet, the guy was supposed to put the wiring in a conduit and he didn't. The wire was very ugly and stretched all over the bricks to get to this plug. But they fixed it for me. It's not invisible but I'm quite happy with it.

We love the SunSetter Awning. There was an old one. They replaced it and put a new one. They were quick.

I had a bad experience with SunSetter many years ago on a mooring cover for my boat. And then they were very helpful then and resolved it. I got an awning recently and the company did a nice job with the installation. So far, the awning is of good quality. I have issues with the installation company that I'm working on. There's an issue with the wind sensor. A gust of wind came up that wasn't really strong and it went wild. It fluctuated at least three feet up and down before it started coming in. The installation company didn't know what to do. The tech said, “We have to buy an aftermarket wind sensor. And we'll see somehow if we can mount it.” I said, “All right. This doesn't sound right, but do what you gotta do.”

Although my SunSetter awning is brand new, it's making some clicking noises. My husband's gonna call the people who installed it and ask them to fix it. Other than that, it's great and I'm happy with it. The awning has changed our outdoor experience. Being in South Florida, if you don't already have a built-in cover in your backyard, it's something that you have to have. It's become a little outdoor room that's groovy. The awning is worth it.

The price of SunSetter was fair with others. They also gave us quite a variety of fabrics to choose from. They also explained how it would work, how it folds out and back in. We're happy with the quality of the awning. We got LED lighting with it too. It works by remote control and that works well. The installation took less than a day. It was very easy. We didn't have to wait a long time for it to be installed. The awning is everything we wanted.

The sales rep was a nice guy. The installation went off without a hitch. The one guy wasn't supposed to be there, but he showed up and he put the wind sensor on and explained everything. Everything went great. The day the awning was put in, I had it open and my wife wasn't home. She said, “How do we know the wind sensor works?” As she said that, a wind gust came, and it closed. So far, so good. I like it. It's doing a great job. It looks great. It adds a little panache to the front of the house. I wish it was cheaper, but that is what it is. SunSetter are good people to work with.

The rep was very personable and she helped us decide what we wanted. She had a great personality and she was very friendly. The techs showed up exactly when they said they were going to. They were very professional about what they were doing. They also had the electrician come at the same time they were there to put in the electrical outlet. They took the time to show us how it operates. Don't go anywhere else, go with SunSetter. Everything went very smoothly when we worked with them.

I didn't really care for SunSetter's sales methodology and I think I overpaid by a couple thousand dollars. When the young man came to my house and measured, we talked through things. He may have been new but it was a ridiculously high price point and I didn't really understand all of the words. In the end, I went ahead and accepted their offer. But if I would have had more information, I would have gotten a different size of the awning and I would have gotten the drop-down screen that goes in the front. Because I went out and bought a canopy thing, like a camper RV sliding thing, to Velcro to the front bar so that you don't get blinded with the sun that comes underneath the awning.

We had a SunSetter awning installed in an area of 14 feet on our back porch and it was perfect for that section. It breaks the morning sunlight coming up and gives us a cooler time. The installation team had it up in no time and they were friendly. The guys were very polite and they routed some wiring, which really helped me a great deal. And the electrician just came along and fixed it. So far, the awning has been working great. It's motorized and has a little wand extension for a little curtain at the end. So, it'll come down about 2 feet, but it goes out about 12 feet. I had to learn a little bit about the remote because you have to have it in the right zone. But we're using it right now, this morning up until noon, and we're very pleased with it. I'd be glad to recommend SunSetter to anybody who has questions.

Sunsetter was perfect. They did what they said they were gonna do. Two guys came out, and three hours later, they were done with the install. The awning is easy to operate, and I'm loving it. I'm under it right now. Originally, I thought I might have skimped on it, but now that I've got it in, I think it's the right size.

Our awnings are doing what we expected of them. SunSetter worked with us. The representative came out to explain the product to us and took a look at our home. We were looking for two awnings, one on our patio and one on an elevated deck. He helped us understand the various products that were offered. The installation was also very good. The two installers came out. They had had done some work previously in other locations. They were able to answer our questions. Then a couple of days after sunny day, we let the awning out, and realized that the profile wasn't exactly the best to give us the best shade. We gave the installer a call, and they came right out and made an adjustment. It’s worked fine since.

SunSetter's rep, Dennis, was good and when I received my awning, I was impressed with the packaging. I was worried that it was going to be in a cardboard box but they put it in a round tube and that was excellent. Other than that, I ordered my awning in February and I just received it yesterday. Initially, they made one for me and allegedly, they sent it to our installer who said that he never received it. Then it took weeks of tracing before SunSetter finally gave up and made another awning. At least, that was the story that I got. I'm not sure exactly who to blame but life is too short to get that upset about things. After all this time, I went ahead and decided to have them direct ship the replacement to me and I'm going to do the install myself. But at the time, it was easier to have somebody else do the install because I was going to be out of town.

The rep explained everything and the installers were really quick. The awning works so they must have done a good job. But the cost was awfully high. It went up $2,200 from when I could have bought it two years earlier.

SunSetter was awesome. I am very pleased. I had a patio built. So, I wanted an awning so you're not sitting in full sun. SunSetter's price was better and the salesperson was a little more well-mannered than the other people. The installers were very professional. They walked me through, showed me how to use the awning, and were very patient.

An awning was a much more cost-effective option for us than a patio with our new home. There were a couple of companies and SunSetter seemed to have the best warranty and reviews. Customer service was great. They were supposed to get back to us a little bit sooner than they did, but that was okay. Our issue is really on the installation piece. There was a fair amount of cracked siding when the crew installed the piece of equipment. One guy came back and caulked the cracked siding. He’s supposed to come and repaint it. Cosmetically, there are still large areas of cracked siding on the side. Other than that, the awning is fantastic and we love it. We've recommended SunSetter to a couple of friends. If we decide to move from the home, the awning is something that we can take with us.

I have a new house in the desert that I needed some protection on a window. I have a lot of friends and family that have SunSetter that have liked them. I reached out to three different companies. SunSetter was the only ones that got back to me, and they were incredibly great when it came to the sales side, the installation side and the quality side. So, they were Johnny-on-the-spot and did a good job. I got a roller shade 12-foot awning. With the wind, it will automatically close, and it can open up to 12 feet out and 12 feet wide. The installers did a great job. They were very much in touch and let me know what was going on. So, I really appreciated that, especially because it's a house I'm not at very often.

The sales rep was pleasant and not pushy. He explained the pros of going with SunSetter. Once they got the awning installed, they showed me how to operate it with a remote control and how it would retract itself if a high wind came along. We've seen it do that on a number of occasions.

My deck is full of the sun from 2 o'clock to about 8 o'clock at night. With me being almost 75, I couldn't sit out there. I'm in an over-55 community and some of my neighbors have SunSetter. The one that came out and helped me pick out stuff and sold the awning to me was wonderful. I have an 18-foot awning and the color is saddle. There are just four or five in here that we're allowed to get.

I had a good experience with the installers. They put a wind sensor on my awning. I had an alignment issue with one of the arms and I called my installer. He said he'd be here this week.

The sales rep was very nice. But we bought our SunSetter with the $200 discount and before we got delivery, they were giving out a $700 discount. I was taken aback. I asked about it and they said they couldn't do anything. I felt like the 700 should have been honored. Other than that, the installation went great. Two guys came - the salesman and a helper. They were very polite. They had to come in the house to figure out where the beams were and they were excellent. We've encouraged people to check out SunSetter.

The sun sets directly on my garage where I spend my evenings and afternoons. I like the SunSetter brand, the service quality, and the warranty on their work. I read the reviews. I got a 10 foot wide by 15 foot long awning. It's the machine one. The installers said they would be here at 8 o'clock in the morning. Three guys showed up at that time and they were done within two hours. I got the roof mount install kit so there was already a roof lip there. They just had to put two brackets on the roof and make sure it was level and adjust the pitch.

The sales rep was a very amenable, professional, and likable guy. Installation-wise, there was a snafu because we ordered two of different sizes and the second awning that came in was not the correct awning. We had to send it back and that created a delay of an additional three weeks. But the installation went very well. The first awning went in very quickly and when he brought in the second one, he and his partner got it in fine. Also, they took the time to show us and explain things. He's a local distributor and I'm very confident that if I pick up the phone and have a problem he'd be here.

The gentleman who came out and his kindness in showing us how it goes made me go ahead and purchase an awning with SunSetter. The installers were even better. They were very professional and did a great job. It took all day, but I had no complaints. I love the awning. We sit on the back in the evening and it stops the leaves from falling in our food. The whole experience took longer than expected, but everything went pretty well.

I recently bought SunSetter awnings with the wind sensor and the electric opener. It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

We got an upgrade compared to the one we had before from SunSetter because the model has changed. It’s the same size but this awning has under carriage LED lights and wind control in case you're not home and the wind picks up. The wind sensor brings it back automatically. In the day time, whenever you have direct sunlight for long periods of time, it gets extremely warm and towards the evening, the way it's facing. The awning makes it more comfortable that you could use it for longer seasons. The cost is a large difference from the last but everything has gone up in cost so that was probably understandable. SunSetter is a good product and I didn't have any problems up at the other residence, which was why we went back to them. I talked to the installers for about two minutes before they started and they explained how they were gonna do the installation. It was done in two and a half hours. They were fast.

I've always wanted an awning. SunSetter looked like they would do the trick of what I needed. I liked the shade. I chose the size I needed. The sales rep was really good at first. But he did say that he would call me back when it was ready. I haven't had any more interaction with him at all. I was a little bit disappointed that he said he was gonna email me but in the end, it wasn't him that did it. He was gonna tell me a few things more about cleaning the awning. He mentioned how I could clean it with something. When he left, I felt I was gonna have more communication with him about the certain thing.

The SunSetter salesman was great. The customer service was great. Installers were awesome. Overall, everybody was good. We got an automatic awning and it's great. We use it every day.

The guy who came and gave me the estimate, Tim, was great and very informative. Also, the installers installed the awning well but the way they went about it, they cut my internet and lied about it. I wasn't too happy about that. They offered to reimburse me for when the cable guy had to come later in the week and fix it for me.

SunSetter Awnings did a great job. Everything went fantastic. The salesman was great. And the installation people were fantastic. Super friendly. The awning is high quality. We opted for the SunSetter fabric and the cassette. We're happy with the performance. It has been holding up well.

Shade started malfunctioning 2 weeks after installation. Texted salesman Bob, who read each text, only responded, he will call service. Now today, 5/23/23, shade is not operating. Still no service call.

We bought a motorized awning in 2015. I noticed a few weeks ago that when it’s open it’s completely crooked. I had someone come look at it and found that the pin fell out on one side in the elbow where the arm extends but he was unable to repair it. I called the company where I purchased it and they wanted a small fortune just to knock on my door. Call Sunsetter and they do not have a service department. Come to find that any local awning companies near me, refuse to work on anything Sunsetter because they are a pain in the ** and no one is willing!!! We absolutely love our awning and can’t be without it as the sun in the back of our home is brutal. It’s great for our solar system though!! This may be very expensive to fix! I’ll post an update after Thursday.

The rep, Bob, showed up on time. He told us everything we needed to know and how we could pay for the awning. He also told us about the installation. He filled us in on everything, left us paperwork, and stayed in contact with us. When the SunSetter was delayed a little bit, he was able to explain to us everything about that. The installation team was excellent. They had asked if they could come at 8:00 and I told them 9:30 would be better. They were here 9:30 on the dot. They were very courteous and cleaned up after themselves. The awning is warrantied for five years and it came perfectly when it turned hot down here. We got the thing that would automatically rewind it if the wind gets too heavy. That's a security thing.

The sales rep wasn't good but his bosses were great. The installers had to come back to fix one little thing but the installation went well. They had to redo something. The awning makes a little noise when it closes but other than that, it was no big deal. The awning and the quality is nice but the cost is a little high. Still, I'm happy with SunSetter.

I looked at SunSetter's pricing range and they called me back probably within 15 minutes when I just putting an online request. It was quick. They came out and gave me estimates for free. The rep brought a sample book out with the material and showed us the different samples and the actual colors, so that we knew it was gonna go well with the house color. He gave me the price and he took all these measurements. They were so easy to deal with. I was somewhere when they installed it. I said, "I have a vacation scheduled. But you can go and install it while I'm gone if you want." I got cameras on my back porch. I can see what I want. They installed it the day or so after we left, and they took pictures and emailed them to me. Then we got home, got to use it ourselves, and we haven't had a problem with it at all.

We like our SunSetter awning and we're happy with it. We haven't used it a lot because the weather is just starting to warm up where we're at. We've opened it and closed it a few times. The wind sensor works because the rep showed me that when he put it on. It goes on the end of one of the arms. If it gets windy and the wind's blowing the awning up and down, it senses it, and then it'll close itself. As far as the SunSetter team, they were very good. They were courteous and friendly, knew about the product and knew what they were doing when they installed it. So, we were very satisfied with the company where we got it from.

I get good experience with the local folks. They seem to be very responsive when we ask questions, and the installers were good. There were three of them, and they came earlier than we had thought as far as when it was gonna be delivered. They were in and out of there quick. It was simple, and the SunSetter awning is where we wanted it to be and does the job. We get a little wind where we are, so we have a wind sensor and it seems to be operating properly. We're happy with it. The cost is also competitive given the solution that it is and where it's all automated. We don't have to manually bring it in or out, so that's convenient. Generally, we use it every day. We have east exposure to that side of the house, so when it's sunny, we get sun for half the day. It cut down on heat coming into the home now that we're getting into the more like summer months.

We had a good salesman. He was young and it was his first sale, but he did a great job. When the installers came, they didn't have the right item to hook the awning to the house, so they had to have it ordered. They came back a week later and put it up in an hour and a half. It's been working beautifully ever since. The awning is great. We've been getting a lot of rain so we haven't used it, but it's there when we need it.

We had an initial problem with the awning that was bending the structure of the RV. The place where the installers put it wasn't sturdy enough to support the awning when it was down. They came back and did a very good job. They sent me pictures too and I didn't have to pay anything extra. I had a good experience overall with SunSetter. Their crew was very polite and respectful. My wife goes out there and sits and reads and drinks her coffee and everything every morning and the awning will help her enjoy that experience more.

We're very satisfied with the SunSetter awnings. We had purchased one from SunSetter before, and we wanted to get another one for the back of the house. I like their product and their installation. I also like the SunSetter Awning team's attitude, their work ethic, and the results.

SunSetter's team was excellent. They gave us a lot of information and answered all of our questions any time I bugged them. I would recommend them to everyone. Everything was also great when our awning was installed. We got the biggest awning and it's the electric one. It is gray and a white big stripe.

SunSetter's reps came out and installed our awning. Both guys were very professional and did a great job. They installed it sometime in April when my thermometer reading out there was 105.2. So they installed it in that heat. Then, once the awning was up and we had it open, the temperature dropped down to 75 in no time. But I ended up paying an extra $200 to get sides and a front. We have one extra cover and we have two extra fronts that are twice the length of our awning, then another extra front. And we finally got our side and it four weeks before we got the side that we wanted. I was speaking to Tiffany at SunSetter and she was awesome. She always responded to me and followed up greatly. But they were moving their packing place from one state to another, and somehow, the packing labels were all messed up. So the boxes were labeled correctly, but the item in the box was incorrect.

SunSetter's reps came out, gave us the estimate, and looked at where we were going to put the awning. We went through all the variations of different offerings that they had and we picked one. They were also very cooperative. They gave us a $200 discount, then some greater discounts came out after we ordered the awning, and they applied the discounts to the awning even though we ordered ours already. Then, they said it was going to take four to six weeks to get the equipment and it took about five weeks.

We went to a Regional Lawn and Garden Show, and there were a couple of different products like that represented. The gentleman they had working in the booth was a lovely gentleman who was in his retirement years, and he said to us that he got a SunSetter Awning for his home and liked it so much, he decided and offered to the owner of this local company, The Awning Team, to work with them. So, he made a really great impression and he made us feel like he was really credible. Plus, he spoke from personal satisfaction and that was a pretty strong testament to say he liked it so much, he thought he would enjoy introducing the product to other people and supporting it in the Charlotte region.

Our house gets full sun all day long so our deck is quite warm. The installers were great. They were pretty quick and got it done. The awning is great but we do have one problem. The wind detector fell off and we don't know where to put it. My husband called a couple of weeks ago about that and he was expecting a callback but never got one.

Then, she put me in touch with the local distributor.

Their team was very polite. They just showed me what they had and we went on from there. The awning we chose has lights, a remote control and wind sensors. The installer went through everything and answered my questions. The quality of the awning is very good.

We love SunSetter. The rep that came out was great. He was straightforward. He gave me all the details and all my options. We discussed how big it should be and the measurements and how it all works. I was really happy when he left. I paid half and when the job was complete, I paid the other half. He had to order it. It took a couple of weeks to get it. The installer said he was coming over at such and such a time for installation. But I had somewhere else to be. I left him to check under the gable. When I came home, everything was installed and it's working fine. Everybody likes it.

The salesman called me and said, "I'll be at your house tomorrow at 10 o'clock." He pulled up at 9:55 and said, "My philosophy is you're calling me, so I'm going to be right on time on schedule. You want an awning. You're a customer. You don't deserve to wait for me because there are other people out there that you could go with." I understand if people have an emergency that they can't make it, but this guy was right on time. Even the installers, they said they'll be here at 9:00 in the morning, and they were. There wasn't like a window of 9:00 to 12:00, so I didn't have to sit home all day waiting for people to come. That to me is a home run.

I'm satisfied with the SunSetter product but I'm not so satisfied with the dealer who sold it to me. After I got the product, I started receiving emails with deals and coupons. I called them up after it was installed and they said they gave me the best price. I'm not too happy with their answer. The dealer was very nice when they came. But they still owe me a visit because they have to readjust the awning again. I kept on telling them I need something to block the sun. They were trying to undersell me. It was on a Monday we made the deal. Wednesday morning, I told them I was gonna order the roll-down shade. They called me back and told me my order was on the truck. I asked them to cancel the order but they said they couldn't do that.

They came to my home, did a quote then came out and installed the awning. The awning is fantastic. I wouldn't change it for the world. It's a good quality.

The salesman with SunSetter was very good. We trusted him. Any questions I asked him, he explained them to me. The installers were very good as well. They explained what had to be done, how to open and close the awning.

When the rep came to give me the quote and measure, he was very polite and efficient. The installers were in and out of here in under half an hour. It was amazing. The quality of the awning is excellent. That was why I went with SunSetter again because everything surpasses anything else I've seen.

We had a SunSetter salesman come out. He was a great guy. The installers were great as well. They had been out prior to do some different work on my home through the same contractor. They were very professional. Thankfully, we had enough wood up there that they were mounting the awning to. That was a concern, to find enough solid wood to mount it to, and they found it right off the bat. It went on perfectly. They didn't have to adjust anything. We're very pleased with them. I would recommend SunSetter to anybody that needs shade.

My niece, Heather, has a Sunsetter awning and she knows the person that put it in. His name is Brian, and he's a really good guy. She contacted me with him then he came over and we did it and got it done. The cost was a little high, but it's a good product. It also felt like we've known Brian forever. He's a good representative for the company.

I needed an awning on my house and I reached out to SunSetter and they came and it was great. The guy was really good when he came by. He was professional and gave us good options. He broke down all the options with us and was super knowledgeable about the awnings and was able to tell us what was best for the home and how to best utilize it. It took about two weeks to get the awning in but once it came in, they came the same week and installed it. Initially, it was installed in the wrong place, but they came back and reinstalled it the same day. My mom was there when they installed it and she told them to put it in the wrong place. The awning's quality is good. It works well. I've used it a lot. My mom uses it more than I do because she needs the shade. It's electronic, which helps her out a lot as well. The cost is great, too. We may get another one.

The SunSetter team was excellent. They explained everything, came out when they said they would, and everything was really good. I really like the awning. It's everything I expected. Definitely get SunSetter.

SunSetter's team was good. The tech was good at insulating. But I'm not really happy with the unit. They talked me into an eight-footer and I wish I got a 10-foot wide one. They kept saying, "It won't fit." when I knew it would. But it is what it is. We're just waiting for the front panel now. It's been a month and we still haven't gotten it yet.

Solar Easyshade works good until it doesn't. Purchased from Costco in Dec 2019. Solar Housing/Battery failed in April 2023. Product website states: “Our EasyShade models come standard with a manufacturer's 5-Year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. For Solar-powered models, the solar panel assembly and battery pack are warranted for three (3) years.”

A truck came to deliver the awning to me rather than the installer and I refused it. Then, the installer came and he didn't have enough help. He got it partly up but he had to come back the next day to finish the job which was fine. I paid him but he called me and told me he hasn't been paid. I asked, "Well, why haven't you been paid?" He didn't tell me so I called the guy he worked for and that guy said, "That's right. We didn't pay him because he let his insurance expire." To say he did all that work, drove twice from Little Rock, which is a two-hour drive, and got nothing, I felt bad for him. Other than that, I'm happy with the awning. I just have to figure out how not to have a cord running around all over my back porch. If anybody wants an awning, I recommend SunSetter.

This is something we really wanted, and we were an easy sale, but Ted, the sales rep, was amazing. He told us everything we needed to know. The installers were here and done within an hour, and it was amazing. I was really surprised. We're also very pleased with the quality of the SunSetter. The sun sets to the side of us and we should have gotten the shade, but the awning covers up enough. We also have trees that give shade. It's perfect. We've not been in the hot, but we hit 90 yesterday and it was very enjoyable. I love the fabric that was picked out. We went with the higher end fabric.

I decided to go with SunSetter because I like the look of the product. My parents had one, my friends have one as well, and we had a good experience with them. The SunSetter team was very good. The sales rep, Brian, came over and he was with me for a little over an hour and he said there was no pressure. I showed them the patio and the dimensions I wanted. He gave some input, and then the patterns, and it was very straightforward and easy to do. One of the challenges was the size because my awning is 13 feet wide, but 15 feet long. So, it's fairly long. It's not the largest by any means, but it's definitely getting towards a larger size. So, I was looking for that and he was like, "Oh, yeah, we can do this and here's why." He worked me on the size. "You don't want to go this far. You want to stop here and here's why. And you want to cover this window, this door and stuff like that."

Everybody we worked with to get our SunSetter awning was great. They communicated well, followed up, and returned calls. The rep was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The brand checked all the things that I wanted to make sure were in place, like stabilizing the attachment to the house with heavy-duty bolts and the product having Made in the USA status. The installers did a great job and I was surprised at how quickly the installation happened. He did a good job training us how to use the awning. We love it.

We have a back patio that we like to eat on, and it was too hot out there during the Alabama summers, and getting some cover over it makes a lot of difference. I did my research and based on reviews, it appeared that SunSetter was the go-to place, the best available, and reasonably priced, so I went with SunSetter. We got a retractable awning. It's mounted on the back of my house and goes out over a patio that we have. It's tan. As far as the SunSetter Awnings team, they were good. They came when they said they would and they did a good job. They were very nice, and they were ready to answer any questions that I had.

We moved into a new townhouse, and the back is facing the West so we thought we needed some shade. I went with SunSetter, but I should have looked at other companies before going with them. The installer kind of wrecked the soffit. We're going to wait for them to come back out and fix the issues. They gotta come out, take the awning down, take the gutter off, take off some soffit there, and put it all back together. They gotta come back and put up the awning. It hasn't been a pleasant experience.

We moved from the lake to Kansas City and we bought a house that had a big ramp on the back of it, which took up a lot of the room. The reps from SunSetter helped us find somebody to take it out. So, they were very nice and considerate. The guy who did the installation put up the awning in two hours. He was very friendly. The awning looks good though we wish that we'd had a solid top, because we live where there's lots of wind, and we don't get to use it that much. So, we're a little upset about that.

Originally, we got an awning for our back lanai. Then we had a patio on the front put in. We did another one out there for the rain and it was great. Everything went smooth. SunSetter's pricing is very competitive. All three awnings are motorized and two of them have the wind sensor. A couple of times, we went out and it'd gotten a little windy. When we got home, it was retracted. It's definitely worth it. I had a question about the two previous awnings and called SunSetter's customer service tech department. It was a very simple question - how much do they weigh? We had the house painted and we had to take them down. I wanted to see how much help I needed. But it was like pulling teeth to find out from their customer service how much they weighed. But the rest of the experience was very professional. We got it in a timely manner.

The rep was great. I enjoyed working with him. I had some questions after our time and he was quick to respond. They have something that I call the visualizer. You take a photo of your house to help you choose from their selection. That's very helpful. The awning's been good. I will use it every day when it gets hot because it blocks the sun from coming into my kitchen so harshly.

Sunsetter was very good. They came out and gave us an estimate and we decided to go with it. The install took couple of hours, and we had no issues. The awning looks very pretty and it's cooler when we open it up. We use it all the time, and we're very happy with it.

It didn't take the installer very long to install the awning and he cleaned up after himself. Everything went well. We like the awning. It's electric. We just push the button and it opens up. It's a little pricey, but we're glad we got it.

After ordering an awning online, it was not apparent that installation was not included, I was told that I would receive a customer number and order number with the next business day. Repeated calls to customer service and was on hold for 10-15 minutes, 3 calls and after 20 minutes finally got a rep who told me they could not find my order. I received an email immediately from a local dealer. I called them asking about installation and was told if I ordered the awning online, they would not support or install the product! But they would be happy to come out and give me a quote if I ordered through them!

I've had two of SunSetter awnings before I've had this one. We liked them. This is a different house, so we wanted another one. As far as the sales reps, they were great. Everybody did a great job. The awning has good quality.

I first purchased from them 10 years ago and I was satisfied with them. I haven't had any problems. They do a great job and I would recommend them to a friend.

There was more than enough material and we were given several options.We got a 16x12 foot awning with a power motor on it. It looks nice with our siding and my wife likes it.

I like that the Sunsetter awning required minimal involvement and construction, and all it needed was a hooking mechanism and it should be done. So, the ease of it appealed first. And I was looking for a pergola. But I wanted that flexibility that sometimes you need the sun, sometimes you don't. I contacted the SunSetter Awnings. They gave me the local dealership number. And I contacted the local dealership who promptly came in the next day, took the measurement, showed me everything. And they gave me a quote, which was amazing. I compared the prices around. I saw Costco also gave a good deal on SunSetter Awnings. And I worked with the local dealer to get the price matched with Costco, which he did, and it was smooth from there. It came down in four to five weeks, and the tech had it installed the next day. We're very excited to use it for the summer.

SunSetter Awnings was a product that lasted a long time. The technician came out and gave me an estimate after measuring everything. And on the day of installation, there were two gentlemen that came out and installed the awning. He showed me how to operate everything. I recommend SunSetter.

We had a deck that had no shade and we had a SunSetter awning the last time we had. We were very happy with it. So, we got another one. We bought the same model. The only thing we didn't get this time was the lights on it. We were very pleased with the rep. He was very knowledgeable. A SunSetter awning is the best one to buy.

Bill from Northeast Awnings was great from the phone call right up through installation. On installation day, he was on time and in two and a half hours, he came into the house saying he was finished. I got a Pro-XL motorized awning with a wind sensor and lighting. It also has a drop-down screen on the far end. It appears to be of very high quality.

There were three SunSetter Awnings installers. They had ladders. We had to get an electrical box on our roof. So, we had to hire someone to do that part up through our attic. But they got the box set up, and we were told that it was great. And it didn't take them long to do it. We stood in the yard watching them and they explained with the remote which way to go. And they said they had just put one in for someone else that was smaller and they liked it. The awning matches our siding. It looks nice.

The sun pretty much all afternoon and into the evening shines right down on our pool and on our back porch. We wanted to cool it down some, so we thought an awning would work. I liked the quality and reviews for SunSetter. They were very well reviewed. As a little kid, I remember seeing their commercials too. We also had a friend that had gotten an awning from SunSetter. They live here in Arizona and they suggested it too. Price-wise, it was also comparable, if not a little bit lower.

d.The seller and installer of our SunSetter awning were pretty good. Initially, we pushed the schedule of the installation back because we weren't ready as we were having other work done. So, it was installed about a month after we ordered it. We're pretty satisfied with the awning, although I'm monitoring a possible issue that I may have to call the installer back out.

We added an extension on our patio and we needed to cover that part when we face the west side in the afternoon and the sun is really hot. We got a retractable awning from SunSetter and it looks real well. Also, we had good service from them.

SunSetter did what they said they were gonna do. They were prompt in their installation and demonstrated how to use the awning well.

The sales rep was great. He showed us our choices then we picked what we liked. He told us what size board we should mount up there which was bigger than what we planned on. I got to pick the fabric that I wanted. We got a couple of extra things like the retractable, and there is a sensor on the retractable. It'll close itself. We also got a covering on top of it so that it would stay clean when it retracted. They had three men for the installation. They were done in half an hour. I'd recommend SunSetter to anyone.

The salesman did the measurements and gave me accurate prices. He also gave me a choice of colors. We did the order and he gave me a nice discount. They wanted half down and five payments. We said, "Can we do half down and 10 payments?" He said, "Let me talk to my boss." And two hours later, he called me back, he said, "My boss said that's fine."

The installers did a very good job, although we had a little bit of an issue getting it scheduled because of the weather. I'm very satisfied with the whole thing.

My experience with them was perfect. They knew what they were talking about. The installation only took a couple of hours and everything went well. The techs cleaned up. I got an awning that works by electric and it has lights. It also has automatic retractability. The quality, color and durability of it looks good.

SunSetter was very prompt with doing everything and giving me the estimate. We got an automatic awning. The techs put it up and it looks nice. The only issue I had was that after I purchased it, there were all these incentives I was emailed. But I didn't qualify for them. One email was with $1,300 worth of things where I would get the cover and the lights. It was frustrating because I didn't get those things.

I've known of SunSetter Awnings for 40 years and when we wanted to put an awning on, I knew they were reputable and I went with them. For the installation, they called and said they were gonna come on a Friday. That Friday was really gonna be complicated for us but I would have made it work for them. But the tech called me on Thursday and asked if it was okay if he came that day. It was so much easier. They came and they were clean and nice people.

The sales rep was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He was very responsive and everything was done right away. We got a 20 x 13 foot awning with SunSetter material. The installers were very quick. It has a remote but if electricity is out, we can crank it. It's amazing and huge. It covers our entire deck. However, we've had an issue with the awning coming back in by itself. But that has only happened once and otherwise, everything else is great.

When they installed our awning, it was very quick. SunSetter is a reasonable thing to do if you need a removable awning.

I was trying to put an awning on my floating dock. I have a two-story boathouse and I needed it partially covered and I couldn't get a permanent awning on it without coming too low. It's a 30 x 30 platform and 20 x 30 was already covered with a roof and I needed to extend that out to the other 10 feet. I decided to try SunSetter and called the local guy down in Ocala, and he was phenomenal. He was here the next day, sold me on the awning, and he was very professional. The installers and the owner were very professional as well, and installation was great. The installers came out when I scheduled it, put up the awning in half a day and explained it well. The quality is great, and the cost came out less than I was gonna have to pay to have an extended aluminum roof. Plus, this one is retractable, so I don't have to use it all the time.

SunSetter Awnings is a good company. And they have good umbrellas. They did a good job and got it done in no time. They were very professional.

There was an existing SunSetter awning when we bought the house. We got a new one to replace the existing one we had. It was the same thing. It's as functional as the old one was. The one we had was just old and torn, so we replaced it with exactly the same thing that we had minus the part that we didn't need. So, it made it a little bit less for us. We did get the wind sensor for safety. Overall, the service was great. It's just they were very expensive.

I love SunSetter, but I ordered lights and I'm a little upset about that because they don't have the lights. They said they were gonna get it. I still don't have the lights and I'm not happy about it. I want my lights. Other than that, the people who installed them were super great. They called, they told us when they were coming, they came exactly the time they said they were coming, and they weren't even in the way at all. We didn't even know they were here half the time until we went outside to see what they were doing. They were very professional and not personal but personable. It was a great experience. The guy who sold it to me was wonderful. I even bought his book.

He was very knowledgeable, very polite, and courteous. I highly recommend him. I liked the installers a lot too as they were very knowledgeable and polite. They got the job done in a very good and timely manner. All in all, it was a pleasurable experience working with SunSetter. Being in Florida, we got the awning because of the sun and the heat. We have one with the remote. So far, we've had a few days out where we enjoyed the awning.

The rep was relatable and informative. He was a nice guy and he did a good job. We went with an awning with the remote. The installer showed up when they said he was gonna show up. I told him, "Just call me before you get done." By the time I got done, he was cleaning up. He showed me how everything worked.

SunSetter came out pretty quickly. They made the measures. They followed up timely with me, informing me about the delivery time and the installation of the awning. Then they came out on time on the scheduled day. They installed it. Then I couldn't use the awning for a month because it was still winter, and it was raining around here. I used it the first time probably three weeks ago, and I noticed that I still had direct sunlight in the middle of the part that was supposed to be covered by the awnings. I reached out to them and in this particular aspect, I was not really pleased by their follow-up. I called, and they didn't respond. There was an email that they finally responded. They were supposed to schedule a site visit to my place to check the reason why or to show me why they think they did a perfect job, but they never did.

We bought our first SunSetter awning a few years ago at our old house we sold last summer. Once we moved in last summer to our brand new home, we knew we wanted to put a SunSetter awning on. We reached out to our agent for the second one because we only moved about nine miles. He's very knowledgeable. He has many years of experience. We liked working with him the first time, we worked with them for this awning. The fitting was really good. We got the electric awning. It's got a wind sensor. Occasionally, we forget to pull it back in and so the wind sensor will pull it in. The one feature that I liked before was the LED lighting facing down toward the floor. Now, the LED strips are on the top side of the arms so you get the indirect lighting but it's not as bright.

I like the fact that I could have the awning out when I needed it and retracted away when I didn't. I spent some time researching what I wanted. So I pretty much got down and told Sunsetter what I wanted. They explained everything thoroughly to me. Then we went forward with ordering my covering. It went very smoothly. David was great. He called me beforehand to schedule a time to come out. The installers were right on time and got right to work. They had it done in a few hours. It was up and working.

Working with SunSetter couldn't have been easier. I'd recommend them. The gentleman was super knowledgeable. He came out and took my measurements. Everything went exactly as I expected, only better. The awning looks fabulous. I show it off to people all the time. They think it looks great. I got the lights in it too. It lights up the whole patio.

I wanted some shade on the back patio instead of using an umbrella. I went with SunSetter and when I went online, they said to find a dealer near me. I checked the dealer in Longmont. Tom was our guy from TCS Solutions and he brought out fabric samples and pictures and how it would look. It came with a motor. Everything was fine with getting the awning ordered. He told us it would take about six to eight weeks because they make them. That was all fine. When we never heard from him, we contacted him and he said, "Yes, I just did look into it. It is in Denver. The freight company needs to call you and deliver it to your house, then you call me I'll come and install it."

I wanted something to cover up the back patio. It was a south facing patio and I wanted not only to use a whole house fan to bring cool air in. It would be nice in the summer to be able to sit out there and enjoy it rather than plot myself out in the sun. I did SunSetter Awnings and their guy Matt was really nice. He was very friendly and it seemed like he knew what he was talking about. The people who set up the awning seemed very experienced and they got it up quickly.

My wife picked out the colors when the rep came over and gave us the estimate. We ordered the awning, and then the installers came few days later when the order showed up. It took them about an hour and a half to put it up. There were about four guys because it's a pretty heavy unit. They showed me how to use it. Then I paid and thanked them, and they went on their way. Sunsetter was very adept with what they were doing, and very quick to respond. They were very pleasant to work with.

The sales rep from SunSetter came right over and told us what would work. We told him what we wanted, and we got what we wanted. Everything was good. The installers did the job very professionally and told us how to use it and everything we needed. I like the awning. It works great. It's easy to use. It shades what we want.

The awning looks great and everything is fine. I'm happy. I'm hoping it will hold up for 10 years like they said.

The SunSetter awning is great. The guys did a good job to put it up. They left the cover for the end for the winter and I had installed it myself, which is a pain in the neck to do. With the way it looks, it is really not even worth putting up. I can't believe they don't have something better. I thought it was simpler. I took it out of the package and it was a couple of hours ordeal to put up and I wasn't happy with it. There are these clips that go on to it that you're supposed to tie around it somehow to hold it. There's no way in the world that these clips would hold this cover on it for the winter. It's impossible. Other than that, I like the awning. I tell others to get it.

The SunSetter rep was great. We knew what we wanted when he came. He answered all our questions and we had no problems. We have the awning up on the roof. We are satisfied with it. We put it out a couple of times to try it and we really like it but we have had horrible weather, so we really hadn't been able to use it. It's gonna be really nice once we’d be able to use it. We're going to use it because we have a bi-level house, and when they built it, they made a mess, and whenever it rained, the water came into the basement. So, we put a patio all the way across on the upper level and fixed it up. We spend a lot of time up there because we're not young anymore and sometimes sick, and it's been very nice for us to sit. We used to have one of these canopies but they only last about a year or two and then it fell apart. So, we decided on the SunSetter.

Sunsetter has a good selection of awnings. The color choices were very good as well. I was very happy with the selection and the color choices. Also, they weren’t pushy at all. I got a wide, green stripe and then a smaller ivory stripe. Our local guy who lives right up the street was awesome. It was a very easy process, and he got me all the information I needed. Then I had it installed within a couple of weeks. It was very fast. The installers were great guys. It was super cold outside when they did the installation. So they weren't able to completely finish because the cables and the wires were so stiff because they were frozen. They couldn't do anything more with them.

The customer service of the local dealer and the installer was amazing. The guy who measured the house was very efficient. The owner of the franchise here came with the installers and supervised it. They did a very good job of putting it up and showing me how to run it. The awning is of excellent quality. It has a heavy-duty metal frame and the fabric is good. I got LED lights under the awning and it also has a wind sensor. If the wind is too high, it closes up.

The SunSetter tech was good and he finished the installation within an hour. He said that if it's windy, I should put it in and I'm not taking a chance. The awning is what I wanted and I'm satisfied. I mostly got it to keep the sun off the front of my house and so far, it does that.

The customer service team was terrific. I was impressed with the rep's knowledge of the product. The installation went all good. It took about three hours.

These folks over at SunSetter have absolutely no idea what they're doing. They called me several times in a row from someone's cell phone (a 413#) at 6:30pm on a Friday to say there's a problem with my credit card. Well, not giving that info over the phone to some random guy just because he's from SunSetter. I explain that I'll re-place the order tomorrow with a different card, he says ok. I do that. Original order status still says "Call" so, we should be good, right? Nope. They then (as I understand it) process both orders... despite never receiving updated card info for the first order and not that anyone reached out and told me they were going to re-attempt the card charge.

I got a retractable motorized awning. The installation was simple and quick. We use the awning almost every day. It's fantastic. If a retractable awning is something you are looking for, SunSetter is the way to go.

The sales rep was excellent. He gave me all the information I needed and explained why I should have this and why I shouldn't have this. So, I was very happy. The team who dd the installation was very good. They went through all these details with me and we went through the settings to make sure they were what I wanted. It worked out fine. I had an issue with the sensor going off by the wind and I was able to get ahold of SunSetter. Apparently, when I tried to adjust the awning, I had to be on sensor one. I had all the sensors split up. So, all I had to do was hold it. The rep did it right over the phone with me, so it was very easy. We're very pleased with SunSetter right now and hopefully, it’ll stay that way for a long time.

The SunSetter sales rep was good. The installation was really good. The quality of the product is also good. However, the sizes were lacking as far as the awning. I needed it longer, the same width. But they don't set it up that way.

The variety of awnings from SunSetter was very nice. The one that we wanted ended up being 18 feet, not 13 feet, which was sufficient. Then, it was just a choice of the fabric that they had. The installation crew was excellent. We ended up with three guys and they were all very thorough and explained the product after it was set up. I was very happy with them.

My experience with SunSetter was excellent. The representative knew more about what needed to be done and what should be done with the awnings, and installation was great. I use it almost five times a week, and so far, so great.

I was reluctant to start doing business with SunSetter because they didn't have a showroom. I had to do a lot of background checks to see they were legitimate. The gentleman who is a franchisee came with the book and we got to pick. Everything was legit. They didn't seem to have a lot of choices of colors that I wanted though. I decided on a neutral one, and it's working out fine. They came as promised. The price was a lot higher than I expected, but it seems to be a durable product.

SunSetter Awnings' product is superior to most. And the installation crew was easy to work with. Sunsetter has been upfront. There's no need to look anywhere else.

Two gentlemen came to put the awning up and they were very professional and did a good job. We have the motorized awning and my wife was able to pick out the color she wanted. Plus, it was a certain size that had to be worked in within a boundary area. We had a good experience and we’d highly recommend SunSetter.

The sales representative was wonderful. But the lady in the office who claimed she's the office manager was terrible. She was very flip. I even told the guys when they came to install the awning that if I had met her first, I wouldn't have done it with Sunsetter. But the installers were very nice and they did a really good job. I'm happy with the product. I love it. It looks good. As far as I'm concerned, it's the prettiest one in the neighborhood.

We moved into this little townhome and there was too much sun on the lanai, we couldn't enjoy it. So, I promptly called SunSetter and then they put me in touch with the dealer in Ocala. The gentleman came out and measured it and told me how much it would be, and we picked out the color and wrote a check. It's one of the best purchases we ever made.

SunSetter's sales rep was great and he did a great job. The installers were awesome and very professional. We highly recommend them. So far, we love our awning. We're on a lake and when we get off the lake, we want to sit on our screened-in porch. But with the doors open, the sun just bakes us. This will help us where it will give us more shade.

I moved here to the Tampa area a year and a half ago. In my old house that I came from in Vero Beach, I bought one of SunSetter 10 years ago back in 2010. I loved it then. I had to leave it there because it was attached to the house. When I moved here, the people who were here before me had left a gazebo. Then in one storm, the whole thing got ripped apart. I took it down and I really needed the shade. I just put it up again. I got a new one. The only thing was it was about $1,800 more than I paid the first time. Things went up, so I had no choice. I bought the one that came out 13 feet so it covers the whole entire patio. It also has a remote control which use to open and close it. You could stop it halfway. It also had lights, which I really like. You can put it dim. It also has a wind sensor. If it gets windy all of a sudden and it bounces a couple of times, it will automatically close.

The installation experience was great. It was easy. On the other hand, getting the product to our house took us almost eight more weeks than was scheduled. The rep said it was due to the plant didn't have the material, so I said, "Well, if we can't get this, let's don't wait, let's get something else." We went with a different awning and the material on it feels more like a cloth. There's a motor that's part of the awning too.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions. Working with them was a very good experience. The installation of of our SunSetter was super easy. The techs came when they said they were going to. They explained everything as they were doing it.

With SunSetter, I knew what kind of quality we're getting. My brother-in-law and I put the awning up. I've done some of the installs with my father-in-law a few times, so I pretty much knew what we were doing. I've noticed, and it's not really a SunSetter manufacturing problem, the remote and the way they sometimes don't work right out of the box. Other than that, it holds up pretty well.

SunSetter Awnings was a great company and the easiest to deal with. The price wasn't that much different from the other ones, but the company was outstanding. The installers showed up and finished when they said they would. They were so good that we've recommended them to various people. The people next door, I had them one put in. And my sister is gonna have one put in as replaced awning. Now we can sit out on the deck and not roast. We're so happy.

SunSetter had good response and they worked with me. They came out and gave me a fairly reasonable estimate. Nothing's cheap, but I thought they were good value. There were two guys who came for the installation. Then I had them come back out. There was an awning cover that I had and there was a bunch of screws, nuts and bolts. I called and said, “Listen. That thing isn’t gonna do me any good for the winter if I can't put it up.” So, they came out after that for a nominal charge. They put it on and they were professional as well. We enjoyed our awning. It was good shade and it looks like a nice product. We got it later in the season and I wanted to make sure we had it covered so it would stand the winter, and I made that happen. So far, we're quite pleased with it.

We had a couple of issues once we got some of the siding off but they were able to work around it and everything went fine. We use the awning every time we're out on the patio and it works real well.

The installers were really good and they were very courteous and respectful. Unfortunately, the SunSetter awning did not last. We have a lot of rain and wind and because it was made about a foot longer, it fell apart. I paid 5,200 for that thing and it wasn't worth 5,200 at all because the patio could've been built for less than that. Even though we're a military family, the awning was still way over my budget. Now, we're waiting for one of the pieces to come in to repair it and I don't know what that's gonna cost me. SunSetter is worth it but the price has gone up so much more than what it used to be.

Everything clicked right along with the sales rep of SunSetter. Things got done like they said. Matter of fact, they were faster than I thought.

Everything was pretty effortless. Sunsetter followed through and got the work done. There was a small tear in the awning, so they ordered a new one and brought that over in about a week later. It works great. The installers were good. In fact, he gave me his phone number and I had to call him once about using the remote. He answered his phone and helped me out with it. So they were very good with the instructions. I like the quality of the awning. Everyone likes it. My friends come over, and they're like, “Oh my gosh. So nice.” I had a good experience with Sunsetter and I'm real happy with the product.
