A representative came out and measured and two guys did the installation. They did it very efficiently. We're pleased with how the transaction proceeded and with the quality of the awning as well.

The rep with SunSetter was very informative and answered my questions. She also helped me with the colors. The installers has asked me where to put the awning, put it up and waited around till I got back to show me how to use the remote and what each one of them did. When they came back up to do the lights, they showed me how to use the lights as well. We've used the lights once, and it's been great. It's almost like being in daylight. They also demonstrated how the wind would retract the awning when it got to be to a certain level. I like the retractability of it, being able to put it in and out. I could put it at different stages so it doesn't have to be all the way out. SunSetter is an expensive product, but it's good. I've got lots of family members that would like to have one, but it's out of their price range to be able to do.

So far, so good. The gentlemen that came did a good job. He showed us how to use the awning. We use it when the sun hits a certain way, and it does what it's supposed to do.

The presentation was very well done. I like their knowledge of the product. The installation was quick, and they walked me through every step of the process of how to operate it. We're very happy with the product.

I have a Sunsetter Awning since 2002, it's worked great. Needed to replace the motor twice. Once in 2012 and now in 2024. However in 2024, I can't get an order placed since May 22, 2024, I have a part# and placed an order 3 times, each time they tell me my card got declined. That's not true, used a different card each time and I have no balance on the cards. It seems since 201 when Sunsetter was bought out by Spring window fashions this has been a problem with customer service. The last time I called I wanted to make sure the credit card went thru, I was told I can't do that, then I asked to speak with a manager, I was told no managers are there. It seems everyone is working from home, I get calls from all over the country.

I reached out online and immediately got a response back from a local distributor. They were very good. I would give very high marks to the local installer. Meanwhile, I would give zero stars to SunSetter, the corporation. We're not in a COVID situation, but the initial delivery of the large SunSetter product took longer than promised. The distributor said that was from SunSetter. When the awning came, part of it was missing and it took another over a month to receive it. I tried to get an understanding on when this piece will be in, and they would give me no information.

I was looking for an awning and when I googled it, SunSetter popped up. The reps were efficient and on time, which is big for me. And the quote that they gave me was somewhere where I was looking for. The presentation was short, sweet, and to the point. They didn't pressure you into anything. The installation was very quick and I'm very pleased with the product. It's a manual awning and gray in color. It’s very easy to use.

We would recommend SunSetter Awnings to our family. The installation guys were efficient. I couldn't believe how quick they were. They weren't there for 20 minutes and it was installed right. They got it done.

We were aware of SunSetter Awnings as a brand. The awning was a wonderful deal. We paid good money, but it was worth it. After the installation, I needed to make a slight adjustment to make sure when the thing came out it was nice and taut. I went online and that was solved easily. I now have it working perfectly.

We remodeled our patio in the previous couple of years and we decided to put a SunSetter awning up. The person that I spoke with was very knowledgeable. They guided me in the right direction. The installation was enlightening. I ended up having to buy a motorized winch. I was happy. We had four people putting it up. It definitely was a little bit of a learning curve, but not that it was hard. It was just I had to figure out how many people to get to hold it up and put it in the brackets. I love the awning. Even when the sun isn't out, it's the ambiance of having it over you.

I gave SunSetter a call. We were happy with their response time. My experience with their rep went really well. However, it seems like the sensor doesn't go off. The one awning upstairs that we've been using was really blowing out and it was like the metal things were almost bending in it. But that's the only thing I'm worried about.

We have been enjoying our SunSetter awning. We really like it. It went up really fast. The installation was easy. We did it ourselves.

Our awning was about 25 years old and it broke on one side. So, I asked around and SunSetter was recommended. That was what we did. The SunSetter team was wonderful. The fellow came out with all the books. We went through everything, and he was explaining all of the various kinds of fabrics and was very knowledgeable. It took quite a while to get it because I picked an expensive one. It's an $8,000 job. About two and a half months later, they came and they were really good. They took away the old one and they put in the new one and all the new arms. The experience was great, very simple and very nice.

I wanted some sun protection on an east-facing deck. I went with SunSetter due to the reputation of the company. The team I worked with was very good. They produce what they said they would in the time frame that they said they would produce it and they did a good installation. It was three week between purchase and install, and it took them about two hours to put it up. I got a motorized awning and it's on the side of the house. It's about 17 feet x 12 feet. It's much nicer being out here around noon time for lunch than it was before.

I needed sun coverage for my balcony for my house. I went through a local installer. I got a SunSetter awning that retracts. It has a motor. I have a wind sensor and I just made sure that it was something I could connect the hub to so I can program it where it automatically opens and closes at a set time. It's working as expected. Sometimes, it does not open or close according to the schedule. According to the hub that's connected where I'm able to schedule when it opens and closes, it doesn't always open or close according to schedule.

SunSetter Awnings communicated with me well. The installer showed up on time. They were very nice. They were only there for three hours and it was done. The awning has worked good ever since. I got the biggest awning. It covers our hot tub and furniture. They're all automatic. It has the wind sensor on it. One day, the wind kicked up and it started going in. That's good.

When we were ordering the awning, the rep asked what color. My house is green, so I wanted something green. "And do you want stripes or do you want solid?" He showed me and I got stripes. "The little part flap that hangs down, do you want that straight or do you want that scalloped?" Everything he asked me, I would ask him, "Is one cheaper than the other? Is it cheaper to go straight instead of scallop? Is it cheaper to go solid?" "Everything, nope, nope, nope." I got to choose what I wanted. I asked because I know how they could add things and it would make our price jump up. But it was just like what I wanted it.

The sales process and installation went well.

My experience with the SunSetter Awning was very positive. The salesperson was thorough and the installation people were efficient and experienced. We were very pleased with the whole situation. The awning is about 18 inches wide and it reaches out 10 feet and the quality is very good. The patio is in the sun in the afternoon. If it's a sunny day, we put the awning down, because it's cooler for us and it keeps the house cooler even if we're not out there.

I needed an awning to cover my deck. I had one many years ago where I used to live and very much enjoyed it. I found we couldn't sit out on the deck in the sun. So, we needed an awning. I needed a retractable one. We got a retractable, roof-mounted one from SunSetter. It's black brown color, 18 foot wide, and about 12 foot reach. I'm 100% satisfied with it. I recommended SunSetter to a friend, and he also had one installed. The only thing I don't like about them is they promised me a $100 gift card for a referral, and I've been waiting for three months for it.

The awning is retractable and super helpful. It provides a lot of good shade from the sun and covers more of the porch than what was covered before. The porch faces towards the evening sun so any time you're eating dinner out there, there's direct sunlight even with the roof. The awning extends the shade and it's held up well in the rain. It dries out well. It's working great.

The awning was the one that was electrically powered so you could put it out and take it in easily, and that was something I was looking for. I didn't want something that was permanent. I wanted something that I could use when I needed it. It performed the way SunSetter advertises it, and it works fine for me.

The first time we dealt with SunSetter was a couple of years ago. The guy made a good presentation, but we weren't ready to get it then. The weird thing was, there was no follow-up. I was really surprised at that, then a year and a half later, we decided we wanted to go ahead and get an awning. I called the company, and they had no information that we had spoken to them before, so we started from scratch. The guy who came out and did a presentation evidently had some family problems, so I couldn't get in touch with him, so the company assigned somebody else to me. He came out, and we got everything set up. It rocked along, then the company called and they wanted payment before we had ever even received the awning, much less had it installed. That was ridiculous.

We've seen the advertising on TV, and when we started looking into awnings, the one Sunsetter offered seemed to be exactly what we needed. The sales reps were very nice and helpful, and everything was fine with the install. We got the adjustable awning that opens and closes, and we have a remote. It works very nicely. We've had no problems with it and we're very happy. The awning was expensive, but everything's expensive these days. I would like it to be cheaper, but it is what it is.

I heard about SunSetter through Costco and after doing some research, I liked the features that they had on their unit. The fabric availability, the width, and the features that the awning had encouraged me to go with that particular model, and with the Costco pricing, it made it very affordable. Even though I had looked up online the SunSetter direct website, my dealings were all through Costco. I dealt directly via online order with Costco, and my order was delivered in a timely fashion. It included the product, the instructions and all the other details as well as the installation hardware, which made it very do-it-yourself-friendly. I did the install, and my son helped me.

We wanted enough clearance to walk under the awning, and our contractor said that he couldn't accommodate us like that, so we decided to go with one that would come out and go in at our discretion. The SunSetter rep went through everything and told us exactly what was gonna be done, how everything would work, and the pricing. He was excellent. We love the awning and being able to go out when the weather is cool enough to do so. I like the quality too. Time will tell, but right now, I'm enjoying it.

I built a second floor deck and I wanted an awning over the deck. I bought one from a third party salesperson of SunSetter, MooreShade4Less, and they sold me something that they should have never sold me, because on the second floor, they didn't take the wind into consideration. The installer was fine but he wasn't part of SunSetter either. He was subcontracted by MooreShade4Less and I paid him directly. MooreShade4Less doesn't respond to emails and phone calls. The finance company that I'm financed through is having trouble and they had my account on hold until they rectify the situation with wind for the awning.

I would recommend Sunsetter. But I hope that the communication is a bit better. The first time, everything went flawlessly and we didn't have any issues. We got SunSetter Awnings in 2021. We had a great experience. Any time we called, we were able to get a quick answer. But this last time was not a good experience. We ordered another set for our deck off of our bedroom. We're still waiting to get our lighting. And they brought the wrong one out the second time. So, they had to take that back again. The accuracy and getting it right has been an issue. We had to have them come out. I had to call a couple of times. It was the owner and his wife who takes care of the back end business part of it. But it was harder to get ahold of them than it was the people who whoever they contracted to do the installation. Their communication between the installers and the company owners was a little off.

SunSetter has the best reputation. When we called them and asked all kinds of questions about the retractable part and the wind, they were very responsive. We live in Florida, and that's important. We had our handyman install it. My daughter's fiance has a friend who installs shutters and he came and helped. It needed two or three people 'cause it's huge. They called and got some advice from SunSetter directly. The quality is great and we're super happy with it. We'd highly recommend it.

It was a good experience with Sunsetter. I liked their cost. Two people came and got the installation done in a small amount of time.

Sunsetter Awnings' customer service was helpful and they sent me a brochure. Also, I liked cost. We installed the awning ourselves. It went well. Doing the mounts wasn't bad. It took three of us to get it up there. It's heavy and awkward. I contacted customer service that despite all the adjustments they suggested, the two arms were never equal. When we close it, one is higher than the other. But it seems to work fine. The awning itself is level.

The awning is broken. They installed it 2 months ago but it didn't work too well. It doesn't like rain and collapsed. They said they'd try to do it some time next week. I'd like if they could get out here faster.

We went with SunSetter Awnings for their reliability. They had a reputation. The only shortfall was it took them a long time to get the awning. It was three months. But it was a good deal. I got a 10 by 10 and if I had to do it again, I would have made it slightly larger. But it's good for what it does. The windows leading out to the patio are always very hot, but since the shade's been up, it reduced the temperature indoors a little bit, and it also slowed the air conditioner coming on.

I had a very good friend that had an awning and it wasn't working right. So, I worked on it and repaired it for him. That was a couple of years ago and after that, I was sitting out here and I thought I'd like to have one for my deck. I'd like to sit out underneath the shade. The salesman from SunSetter was good and the boys who came over and put it up for me were excellent. They were here, done, and gone. I was very impressed. The awning is 14 feet by whatever goes out to extend it. It works. I push the button and it goes the other way, and that was all I was after. I'm impressed with the quality of it too. So far, it hadn't ripped. If people want to do the awning on their house, I would recommend SunSetter highly. It supports itself and it's quite well. I also have the sensor on mine. In case it gets windy, it comes in by itself.

They were very cordial and likeable couple of guys! Answered all our questions and explained everything. I would definitely recommend them! We love our awning and recommended it to our friends. The awning is very sturdy and well made. We are now enjoying our south-facing deck - due to the new awning..

The awning appears to be well made and operates as advertised. The problem arises if you need service to remedy a problem. When I contacted the customer service department about a problem when the awning opened and closed. The service rep. attempted to diagnose the problem (which was incorrect) because it is a DIY repair. I informed the service rep. that I will not repair the awning myself, which is less than one year old, that I had contacted the installation company two times without any results, the installation contractor had made an appointment that was not kept without a phone call. I was told that by the service rep "Sunsetter has no control over the installation company's". I stated I want to talk to a supervisor, none were available, I received a voicemail a week later stating that I should contact the customer service department.

Installer brought the wrong awning to begin with, we ordered the streamlined cover and the one they brought didn't have anything. Installer did not have fasteners for the lights and used our black zip ties on the white arms. Installer said no way to hook up side panel. I had to complain and finally someone came out and the side panel is held on with zip ties. Sad this beautiful awning has so many zip ties.

The SunSetter awning is a very good product. My father-in-law knew an elderly person that had one on her house that she no longer used and she wanted it removed. My father-in-law removed it for her and he thought he could use it on his house, but it was too big. He asked us if we wanted it, and it sat on our deck perfectly. It was great, and we had it there for 15 years. It might have been 10 years old already as far as we could figure out, and finally, it faded out completely. We got a hailstorm one day and got some holes in it, and we still had it another year after that. We were doing our deck over, and we decided to buy another awning 'cause we liked the first one so much.

5/7/24 Wrote Check. When ordered I thought 4-6 wks. But closer to 8 wks. When they did come motor was on wrong side. So another 4 wks. Came and put up TOO LOW being 6'-4" I was hitting the arms even on a breezy day. Would hit my head on the fabric. They have plenty of room to go up with it and I told them. Still waiting for them to come back and raise it up. This is as of 9/9/24. Also two different crews came and there was a difference in work technique.

We were so happy with our Sunsetter that we ordered a larger one to replace the original one and had that one moved to our lake home. We love all 3 sunsetters we have. It has made such a difference in the temperature of our home and the ability to use our deck all summer.

I placed my order in May 2024 and I was told it shipped June 6 with delivery around June 24th. Each week I was given a 1 week delay from RXO who needed to perform an ‘dock search’ each time which would take 72 hours each. I finally received a refund from Costco last week (Sept). I’ll find a company who delivers on their commitments. Truly disappointed.

I bought the awning for my mother-in-law. She needed shade on her patio. Lewis was a real nice guy. There was no pressure. He asked us the questions we needed to answer and gave us some guidance on what we should think about. He told us that the awning will not give us shade all the time when the sun gets low in the sky. We got the 12 x 10 with the higher grade canvas, the electric thing to move it in and out, and a wind sensor to bring it in when it gets windy. My mother-in-law is very happy with it.

The Sunsetter has allowed me to enjoy my deck and outdoor time with family and friends. The product is well made and the installation people were very skilled. Prior to the Sunsetter installation, I was not able to be outside because of the heat from the sun. In the future, I would consider purchasing other products made by Sunsetter.

SunSetter's team was very good and overall, my experience was fantastic. I got the motorized awnings and they're sitting out on the patio. They're working good and I don't have a problem with them at all.

I searched and ordered online, then Sunsetter shipped the awning and I installed it myself. It happened to be in an area where no installers are coming out. It's a second home, so it's far out in the forest. This is not typical do-it-yourself type of job, but my husband and I are handy, and so far, I've had no problem with the product. It works great.

We have a new patio that we were installing and we have four umbrellas across our patio that we use. I'm tired of using umbrellas and our best friends have awnings that they had installed on their house. So, we asked them about it and they said it was SunSetter. We had a guy come out and he was a typical salesperson trying to do a fast sales pitch. So, we slowed him down and told him we needed some questions answered. And he had an answer for every question that I had.

I had to wait for a very long time for my SunSetter awning because of one of the sales people, and I didn't like that part because they should have just gotten the job done. I was supposed to have a party on the 8th, and it didn't come through because I couldn't get the awning out. But SunSetter eventually came out on the 7th and put it in. That was the day before the party because they rushed it to get it out to me to have the party, but the venue had been changed already. Despite that, they really did a fantastic job in putting it in and the guys were great. I was very happy and it made up for a lot of things. So, I would recommend them.

On the back of our house we have a four season sunroom. The house is built on a slope overlooking a small lake to the west. Because of the slope, the sunroom is at the second floor. The room overheats in summer. For several years, without success, I searched for a vendor who could provide a shade. None wanted to design a shade for a sunroom with a curved front located above ground level. I first encountered Sun Setter in an advertisement in a magazine. Our procedure to purchase followed. The sunroom, when subject to noon sun, is 10 - 15 oF cooler with the awning extended. Installation was flawless. The only problem we have is wind. Located in N. Illinois, facing west, the wind may blow for days at 20+mph gusting to 30mph. The awning will retract at these speeds.

Painless start to finish. My awning was custom-made, 15-foot by 12-foot over my existing deck. It has automatic retract. I got the remote control, motorized, in and out. I also got the crank down sun shield. Everything is good.

Updated Review on 09/17/2024: Customer service a big problem. Delivered wrong awning first then took many, many weeks to deliver the correct one. Wouldn't give us straight answers, would not give any discounts or delivery dates. It is well known that since a corporation bought out this wonderful [used to be] company now their service went in the swamp. Then on top of it all, they respond to my complaint through Consumers Affairs and I am not able to get into their response because of a poor "Consumer Affairs" website that will not allow me to see their response to my review.

Product good customer service terrible. Sent us wrong item took multiple calls and emails to correct issue and if I would not have been persistent it seemed like it was forgot about. I would wait a week and call again but it was like starting over each time. Took over 3 months in total to receive correct item.

Due to a poor installation I’ve gone for over a month and two weeks without being able to use my new SunSetter awning along with the installation company or Sunsetter contacted me to let me know what the status is of repairs needing to be done. I asked for a refund from the installers. They refuse to do it. They are going to send out a senior installer and still have yet to hear from the company but what does it matter for the Sunsetter company? Nothing. You guys cannot refund it. You guys cannot do anything about it so why are you concerned with a review.

First the awning was wrong color, so had to wait 2 to 3 weeks to get correct fabric. Ordered full screens, did not get. Asked where the manual rod was to lower the awning and never was told and still don't have one. Tried to call Chad ** several times since install and left messages. No response.

Our awning is great. Perfect colors to go with our house. Easy to use. We have been able to open it each day. Our 1st reason for buying one was to keep the house from absorbing the sun heat into the dining room doorwall. It does a great job. We have been able to sit outside under it and stay cooler and protected. We even sat under it during a recent smaller rain event. A+

We absolutely love our retractable awning. Brodie ** from Window Source Great Lakes in Erie helped us through each step to make sure we were getting the best awning for our space. He completed the installation for us in time for the 4th of July and even came back to make a quick adjustment a month later.

We have been so enjoying our deck remote control awning. On HOT SD days, it has been nice to have the awning out---not only to help our deck, but it shades our dining room windows as well. We love it and the two men from Brookings did a fantastic job--clean, neat, told us how to run it, and boom...it was installed in a few hours. I would recommend to others. It is a Spendy investment but it increases our house value.

I have had 3 Sunsetter over a 30 year span and they are worth every penny, our deck gets the evening sun, and in Georgia, the heat is crazy hot, that sunsetter has kept it away from the deck and kept that sun shining in the deck door, which keeps down the air condition from running all the time, save money on power bill..So does a sunsetter help with power bill, yes absolutely..It makes BIG difference..Do yourselves a favor buy sunsetter, it will be the best thing you ever did. My dog and cat also loves to stay on the deck during the night hours and they love the sunsetter, it's great when it rains, we can set on the deck and watch the rain come down and not get wet, our pets love that also..Like I said best money we ever spent.

Excellent product, very well made. Color swatch matched very well compared to online. Perfect addition to our patio grilling area. Instructions for installation were very good as well. Definitely recommend this product for your patio needs. Having the motor makes it an easy addition, but also the ability to use it manually if necessary.

The installation was very quick. The guys were very nice and they got it done nonstop quickly. The awning didn't give me quite as much sun protection as I wanted, but it was great. The features are great. It was a very good experience.

I have a deck and I was using gazebos on it. But the gazebos would run two years and then I'd have to replace it. We wanted something more permanent and we found a local dealer. When they came out and did the presentation, it was informative and the rep was very straight up. He told me how he was gonna do it and we decided we like the way it was gonna go, so we went ahead and ordered the awning. We have the motorized awning and it works well. I'm pleased with the product and the quality of it.

We ordered through Costco, and selected a 20’ platinum plus motorized xl with white frame and storm stripe fabric. We are very pleased with our purchase. It provides shade on our deck, which is on the west side of our home. Our composite decking gets really hot for our feet or paws of our dogs. This is a game changer. We now enjoy more time outside. It was a challenge to install, with a weight over 200 lbs, but with the help of our neighbors, it was installed without issues. We know we will enjoy it for years to come. Thank you for such a great quality product.

The awning is a great product and we love it. On the first installation, the techs found out something was wrong with the SunSetter awning. They found some deficiency though from my view, it was completely fine. But they said they found some error when it was extending and they generously offered to replace it. And they did it. They quickly produced a new one for us. We appreciate it and we're very happy with the generosity of SunSetter. The first delivery was good and quick. But the second delivery was a mess. The delivery company lost the product completely and was not delivered until now. We will put it up on our own or hire the installation. We haven’t done it yet because it's the end of the summer.

We definitely use our deck more now that we have the awning. And not because it blocks the sun but because it makes our deck feel like another room. It’s so cozy and pleasant. We love it. Some minor miscommunication between salesperson and the installer but everything worked out in the end.

In Feb 2024, a SunSetter Cust Svc rep advised that we contact Georgetown Awnings LLC for a SunSetter awning. We gave Georgetown Awnings LLC $5,000 for a 17’ x 10’ motorized awning, and they never delivered the order we paid for. We since found out Georgetown Awnings LLC never placed our order with SunSetter. We are now taking Georgetown Awnings LLC to court to have our $5,000 returned. This was all due to a SunSetter Cust Svc representative recommending Georgetown Awnings LLC.

Just purchased and installed a new 16’ wide awning - went great - looks great - and works great!!! Only minor issue is rain bounces off roof and goes under roof mount brackets so we get a bit wet - I’m going to add a screen to help resolve this issue so we can stay dry when it rains.

The product and the installation went well. My only regret is the salesman should be able with tech to show where the sun will travel as late afternoon the coverage with what we got doesn't cover it but excellent midday. I like that it is retractable which makes it nice on some of the days you want to see the sky.

The whole experience was 5+stars. The salesman, the office staff and the installer were very professional. We did have a wait to have the awning installed but we ordered it during the busy time, summer. The awning was installed to give us some protection from the afternoon heat and it does make it cooler.

My salesman was very helpful. The installation crew arrived when you said they would. They took down my old awning and had my new awning installed quicker than the estimated time. One of the crew demonstrated and explained all details about my new awning. I am very pleased with my new awning.

Installers were in too much of a hurry, it wasn’t properly adjusted nor were we instructed on its proper operation. I had to schedule a service call to fix it, and no one came until after weeks we could use the awning. I am very dissatisfied with Sunsetter and their service installers.

This product is overrated. It is Very difficult to install and challenging to set the remote. I can't use it in the rain. Bad design! I wish the product had a bit of a slope so I could use it in the rain. I like the color and the look of the product! ****

To start off, my salesperson did not listen to what I wanted, but what he suggested. I’m a retiree and wanted the 10 year warranty material, so I wouldn’t have to worry about anything in the near future. I was told that all I had to do was take care of awning and it would last. So I ended up with the lesser. Also I think that customers should have better choices if they choose the manual.

Worst salesman I’ve ever had. Took my money and never done what he’s said he would do. I was told it would be here and installed by late June. I just received awning 2 days ago and still not installed. I contacted Sunsetter and told them I wanted my money back and never heard from them. The whole thing was a terrible experience.

We were very happy with the guy who sold the awning to us. He was wonderful. We did one purchase and then a year later, we had him come back and we did a second purchase. I love the awning but SunSetter was pricey and we were having discussions about going with another company.

I was doing my homework and SunSetter was more professional on the phone. I got a motorized awning. Installation was good except they were putting it in the wrong spot. I called them just in time. They put it down on the invoice wrong but we got it corrected before that. We had a little problem with the awning. It was leaning too low. I called SunSetter. Somebody was out here the next day. They fixed it. I'm glad I can call and say, “Hey, they'd be out here in a minute.” Overall, it was a great experience.

I've used SunSetter before in a previous home and it worked out well. I'm in a different home now and I really didn't think twice about calling them again. They did a great job the first time around. The person I spoke with through email was great. The service was great. I had no issues from start to finish. The awning is functioning well. The only problem I'm having is the wind sensor doesn't seem to be working properly. I'm sure it's something that I just didn't set up correctly. I have to contact SunSetter to have them troubleshoot it. But other than that, it's working exactly as I had anticipated. I'm very satisfied.

SunSetter was awesome. They didn't try to upsell me. They were very honest about pricing and what would benefit us the most. I was very pleased with that. They also came right out. They gave us an estimate and a couple of different options to choose from, and they installed it in a couple of hours. They were very friendly, fast and cleaned up everything afterwards. They did everything and we have a really difficult backyard. It’s a straight uphill, and they brought everything in the house and were very respectful. Our SunSetter awning is a motorized one with a remote, and it also has lights outside that you can adjust so that you can read and do stuff outside. We definitely spend a lot more time out there, especially at night. I cannot remember what kind of lights they were, but they don't attract bugs and that was a big bonus.

My wife decided to go with Sunsetter, but we didn't get the awning, because when it got out here, the installers couldn't put it in. Apparently, they measured wrong. Sunsetter is a good company, but a lot of their stuff is done third party as far as installation is concerned. They're not a company that knows how to think out of the box because all they had to do was put a couple of 2 x 4s up there to bring it out over. I would have went with Sunsetter if they could have figured the stuff out, but they couldn't. That drove me to just cancel the contract, ‘cause it was just ridiculous.

Sunsetter seemed to be a good company that would come through with what we needed. I'm disabled now and I'm not able to hang an awning, so I needed the full service of a good company to do it. I was in the hospital when the awning was put up, but my wife was here and she didn't have any problems with the installers at all. The awning is just what we wanted too. However, we paid a bit more than we did in the past. We've had awnings before that we bought and installed ourselves. Other than that, our experience was all good.

I decided to purchase an awning because we had to remove some trees in my backyard, and it was so hot on my deck, so we were looking for something that could give us some shade. I'm a Costco member, and Costco advertised a sale on Sunsetter. So, I was able to get a discount and use the Costco Sunsetter thing. I purchased the awning online, then we put it up ourselves. It was a bit of a struggle because it's heavy and we didn't quite know what went where. It was a matter of trial and error, but it went okay.

I went online to look for awnings. Sunsetter had a sale going on, and unfortunately, I should have gone with the other company. They would have come out, measured and helped me get the correct sizing. With Sunsetter, the onus is on the consumer. They don't do anything. All they do is take people's money, and that's it. They don't come out for the sizing. I had to get the sizing correct myself, figure things out and get somebody to put the awning up. They're horrible.

I had them out here when I had a problem with the awning I had and used them when I needed to replace it. It was over 20 years old and was worn out. I got a motorized awning, and it was done in no time. The team was very professional.

Our experience was mixed. I like my awning but it seems like we didn't get what we ordered. The salesperson was nice, showed us a lot of things, talked very fast. She never said there would be an issue and when the installer came he said he had to put that awning up in a certain spot and part of the area is not totally covered or in the shade. The salesperson never said anything like that. The awning valance we chose was wavy. A straight one was installed. When we called about that, the person we spoke with was not very pleasant when she informed us that the awning pattern we chose only comes with straight valances. It changes the entire look. The lights that came with the awning are ugly. We do not remember being shown these lights as we would never have chosen them. Now we woo have the added expense of buying different lights.

I purchased a new home and I knew the direction the home was facing and that there was simply no escaping the sun on our back porch. I reached out to SunSetter and there was a sales representative that came out. He was experienced. Install went okay. We're very happy with the awning. There are some challenges since we live in an area where there is wind. So, we have the wind sensor. Sometimes it's a little frustrating that whenever there's wind, the wind sensor likes to retract the awning. But I understand it's for the safety of the awning. One thing where it was oversold a little bit was that down at the beach, a lot of people have these awnings and I know there's a strong breeze down there. I can imagine our breeze is not much stronger than what's down at the beach. It's a big awning and it's a big sale. It is what it is.

We have half the Sunsetter awning. We don't have the cover yet. We've been waiting for about six weeks for that to arrive. The awning was delayed prior to summer for a while. It's been a long haul trying to get it all put together. I had good service from my local company. I'm happy enough with them, but the factory where they're coming from caused the delays. Sunsetter's prices are reasonable. They're fair for the quality of the material. I'm very happy with the awning. It's just getting it all together before the snow flies in Maine.

The installation of our awning took longer than I wanted. The guy who gave me the estimate was super nice and knew his job, but he ordered the wrong type. Then we had to wait again while the other parts were ordered and it took a long time. The installers were great. The process just finished this week with the final piece of the awning installed, and I was not very happy about that. It was the beginning of the summer when I ordered it.

SunSetter seems to have been able to maintain their reputation and quality unlike a lot of other companies who tend to go for short-term gain and profits at the cost of losing the reputation and quality. SunSetter seems to have been able to maintain that, which is becoming more rare in this country. Purchasing from them was very straightforward. There was good communication and notifications about the order itself and when it was going to arrive.

A guy came and measured, and eight weeks later, the awning was delivered. A few days after that, the installers came and put it up. It was quick. They were done in three hours. They used the racks that were already there so they didn't have to drill new racks up. It's a solid awning. It was pricey, but we got what we paid for. It's a SunSetter.

We had a SunSetter awning for 25 years prior, then I bought another one that was exactly the same. We couldn't replace the material, so we ended up with the whole thing and my purchase experience was very good. We did the installation ourselves. It was a multi-personnel effort 'cause it's a large awning. It took five of us, and we did it in stages. My brother, a neighbor, my husband, my dad and I helped with the installation. I was always curious if a handyman came, how they would have done it because it's something that people never know what they're gonna get themselves into. We knew because we had put the other one up prior 20 something years ago. So, a lot of the material in the back to put in the screws were already there.

Our deck is very hot in the summertime, so we can't stand outside. I've always heard good reviews about SunSetter, so we had a gentleman come out and measure our deck. He helped us pick out a material, pattern, and explained to us all the different features of the SunSetter, and we were very pleased. The installer came out, installed the awning all in one day and then showed us how to use the SunSetter. They're great.

I needed something to shade my back deck. I've known about SunSetter from a few commercials and I started checking them out. It seemed like the quality was good and I used Costco where they had a 20%, which gave me a pretty good deal. I got a 17-footer and it goes out to 12 feet. The install wasn't bad when I figured out how to do it and I did it by myself. It works fine but it seems like it loses its pre-programmed settings. You get it all set up so it stops where you want it to stop, and you set the distances and when it retracts, but that goes away sometimes just out of the blue. When that happens, I'd have to reprogram it. Also, it's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

The installation went great. It was one of the hottest days of the summer. I felt sorry for those poor guys. But they did a great job. The awning covers my whole deck and still allows for, in the morning, the sun to come in on the sides and give plenty of sunshine to my plants and along the edges. And I can be in the shade. It's great.

One of my neighbors had a SunSetter and since I needed shade, I decided to purchase one. We had a couple of problems in the beginning that it wasn't secured tight enough to the house. So, the guys came back and they made sure that they had it really secured to the house. They were cohesive and the installation was really only a few hours. It's just that they had to come back because the bolts to the house weren't strong enough. So far, I love the awning.

The installation was good and I like the shade from the awning. But I wish SunSetter talked to me a little bit more about a covering for the awning because I didn't realize that that didn't come with it. I need it so it's looking like I'm gonna have to order that and that'll be an additional cost and delivery fee. I'm not thrilled about that. But as far as the way the SunSetter works, it works fine.

My experience with SunSetter has been excellent. The installers were right on time. We're very pleased with the quality of the awning and we are enjoying it.

The motor on the awning wasn’t working and SunSetter sent me a new motor. But I had to pay the guy twice. He charged me another $200 to come back from where he was at to put the motor in. Other than that, it was good. I had an awning before and it had better material but this one is a little bigger and there is more control. There's a wind sensor on it. I use the awning every day to block out the sun. I barbecue there and I have my couch. People should get an awning from SunSetter.

Mike, the salesperson, did the presentation and it was very good. He was down to earth and answered all of my questions. The men who installed the awning went about their business the way they were paid to do and I was very impressed with that. They didn't dilly-dally. They just moved in, set up their staging and had at it. The cost of the awning was kind of high but I'm not gonna be on this Earth all that much longer and I might as well spend a few pennies I got. But SunSetter should lower the price on my second awning. If I wanna put an awning on the front of my house, people driving by are gonna see it and that's about as good as advertising they're ever gonna get. So the price should be within reason.

The SunSetter salesperson came out. He was a nice guy and reviewed everything. We weren't sure whether we were gonna go with one. But he did his job. The installers set a date on when they were coming. They showed up when they said they were gonna come and installed it in a couple of hours. I did the initial woodworking for them because we had to do some woodworking to hang it. But they put it up. It was very easy. The price was high. But you get what you pay for too. It was more than we thought it was gonna be. Our awning is big and we have the wind sensor on there. Plus, we put the lights on. The only thing we didn't do was put a rain sensor.

SunSetter talked a good show when I went in to check the awnings and my wife and I decided to go with them. It was an excellent experience. The guys who did the installation were professionals. They came out and were gone in 45 minutes, and the awnings looked and worked good. My neighbor has something up their old den that he got from Home Depot and this looks altogether different than what he has. I paid a little more than what he did, but it was worth it.

The installing guys of our SunSetter were top-notch. They were very helpful, cordial and concerned. We got two 19-footers and they're fastened to the side of the house and they're motorized and we got the light to go with it. We had ordered them in April but the lights came in just a week ago. I was disappointed in the shipping. They shipped them without the lights and we had to wait for quite a while.

I had a great experience with SunSetter. They were really fast. I called for them to come and give me a quote. They gave me a great quote. I ordered the awning and as soon as the awning was delivered to my house, I called them and they came the next day and installed it. The installation was great. I liked the price and the value of what I was getting. Also, the salesperson didn't seem to be pushing something just for the money. He listened to what I needed and gave me the best solution. Everybody was also very nice. I'm also enjoying my awning this season, definitely.

My previous SunSetter awning was 15 years old and it was time to replace it. It’s very high quality because it lasted that long. The customer service was a lot smoother than last time because this time, I had internet. I did the installation myself and it was no problem at all after looking at YouTube videos, especially when I had my son-in-law and his friend over to help me lift the awning up. It's very easy to use because I just push a button.

The quality of my SunSetter Awning is good. I have the wind control on my awning. However earlier, when I opened it, it was making a certain noise when it was rolling. It's also pricey. I bought it through Costco online and I did the installation myself. It was delivered by the door outside.

My experience with SunSetter wasn't good. When they left here, after they installed it, for one thing, it hesitates before it comes down. It comes down part way, goes back up. And I have to do it again. Maybe sometimes two or three times. They need to come back and fix this thing why it doesn't go back and forth. Also, when they installed the awning, I don't know what kind of oil they used, but I've got these black spots all over my pavers and I couldn't get them off. Not very professional.

The installation people of SunSetter were wonderful. It was him and his son. They did a great job. I've told a whole bunch of people already about them and I would recommend them to anyone. It took three weeks to a month to get the awning. Once it got in, they did it within three days. The awning is very quiet. It does a good job. It's exactly what I wanted. I'm very satisfied. The only thing, I wish I would have gotten a scallop instead of a straight across. That was my mistake.

I had Chris from SunSetter come out and he was absolutely wonderful. I ordered from him and I've been very happy with the awning. He was very knowledgeable about SunSetter awning. He was a really nice guy and personable. He was not pushy. I don't like pushy salesmen. He was very good and he's from River Falls. They had ordered the wrong size housing box, but they said, "No problem." They reordered the right one. When it came, they came out and installed it. It was fine. The awning is expensive but it's good quality. It's electric and I like it.

SunSetter is a brand name that I heard of and I got the awnings through a local distributor. The installation was fast and quick. The installers were able to show me how to do everything before they left and didn’t leave a mess so I was happy.

We put in a pool and it needed some shade. We decided to get an awning and went with SunSetter. Our experience was satisfactory. Their guys came in for the installation and within about a half a day, they had it up. The only thing is their price is a little bit higher. In looking into subsequent companies or similar products, they were a bit higher than subsequent companies.

I like my SunSetter awning. It does what it's supposed to do. The sales rep was very good. It took six weeks from my purchase to the installation and the installers did a great job. They were on time and very efficient.

My grandmother liked the features of the SunSetter. We decided to go ahead and have somebody come out and see if they could install one in front of our main window in front of the house 'cause the sun comes through there a lot. He was efficient, very educational and answered any questions we had the best that he could. However, we had an oopsy installation. The guy installed it on these wooden beams that are attached to our porch, and they weren't strong enough. They split two weeks ago and we had to have him come back out and remount it to a different section.

With all the research I'd done, SunSetter was the best product for our needs. The sales rep did an excellent job. The awning is simple to operate and performs to what it's built to do. There are lights up underneath it and it's standard for the automatic come in if it gets too windy. It's perfect like what we were expecting it to and we enjoy it.

We purchased a SunSetter awning here at my office as part of a remodeling job and I decided I wanted one for the house. The installers were efficient, quick, and good. They were very professional and knowledgeable and it didn't take them any time at all to get it up. They also came in a little earlier than we expected. And as soon as they came in, they put the awning up and showed me how to use it. It seems to be of good quality. We got the wind control at the office, but I did not get that for the one at home. I just got the remote. I was very satisfied with my experience with the one at home. The one at work was not a good experience. It took forever to get it. Overall, if someone is looking for that type of thing, I would recommend SunSetter.

I had the SunSetter salesman come out and we went over everything. I had a little bit of a complicated situation, but we worked it out. When he came up with the price, it was a little high so I told him to let me think about it for a minute. So a couple of days later, I called the salesman back and told him we'd go for it. When he was first here, he gave me a handwritten estimate with everything on it. So when he placed the order, he had to officially do it over the phone. Then, when the awning finally came and they put it up, a major piece was missing, which was the shade that pulls down to divert the sun on the front.

I purchased my home it had a SunSetter Motorized Awning. The installation of the Awning was installed on the roof of the house. Well years later I started to get water in my home. I got a roofer to check it out. The damage was beyond belief due to bad installation of the Awning. They drilled starter wholes in the roof to try to find a stud and left the wholes open. No sealer for years. The holes were 1/2" round and over 6 of them. They removed the Awning and mounting brackets. The plywood was damaged badly and the roof joists below the awning mounts. Very bad workmanship.

SunSetter is a well-known company with a fairly good reputation. Because of the size of my yard, I had no option other than to have some kind of an awning attached to my home that could cantilever out and be retracted. The experience with SunSetter was nothing but positive. The awning was delivered much more quickly than they had thought and that was a positive, too. It wasn't under the seller's control but it was up to where it got shipped from. The installation guys were professional and knew what they were doing. They explained the operation of the equipment to me well and let me know that I had options if it didn't cantilever quite out as low as I wanted it to and that I could call them and they would come and do a quick adjustment at no charge. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend SunSetter.

We redid our backyard, so we wanted to put an awning up. We were torn between putting up an umbrella on the table or putting out the awning and we started looking around. I had always thought about a SunSetter awning when I bought a house in Woodmore North over in Bowie 20 years ago and I never put it up. We punched in SunSetter on the internet and it came up, and then there's a company that does it, Beltway Blinds, and they came out and did it.

We needed an awning because I'm not able to be out in the sun. We thought SunSetter was gonna make a difference. The guy who came out to us told us a lot of untruths. We live in a mobile home. So, the SunSetter awning is too heavy for the trailer and it's causing part of our front door to come down. Then, he told us that it would withstand winds up to 35 miles an hour and it doesn't. Only you gotta put the awning up if it starts blowing more than 11 miles an hour. The installer was very nice. He put the awning up, attached it to our roof, showed us how to use it and left.

We had a room that was warm from the sun exposure in the morning and an awning would probably help out a lot with keeping the room cooler. It's not a room that we used before and I installed fans and screens, and the awning was part of that. We got one that would match our house best. We weren't happy with the color selections that SunSetter offered and didn't want anything too crazy. We just wanted the color to be right, and we found it. It was a blue color that matched the trim on our house and had been discontinued. It was one of the lesser grades but we wanted the color more than anything else. So we went with it rather than upgrading to a better quality fabric. The awning has a 10-year guarantee on it and we figured that it'll last more than 10 or SunSetter wouldn't offer a warranty.

We bought a SunSetter awning when we lived in Rochester, New York and we liked it so much. This year, my wife decided she wanted a place in the backyard so we had the back of our porch done. The guy who came with the two young guys to help him did a great job. They cleaned up everything when we were done and it was exactly what I expected. Everything was professional about it. One of the things that we like is the bars on the sides and we went with an electrical version where I can just push the button and it opens it and closes it. That was a big plus. Also, my wife liked the color that she picked, which matches with our house. The size was perfect and they put it in just slightly off to one side from where our entrance is and it was a great place for it.

SunSetter is a nationally recognized brand and they've been around for a long time. I also saw some products of theirs on different neighbors’ houses and they looked to be of high quality. I chose and installed the awnings myself. If you have a few basic carpentry skills, they're very easy to install. The installation was straightforward. I'm very pleased with the quality so far. I haven't tested them yet but there is a 10-year unlimited warranty on them.

Sunsetter came out and found out what we wanted and what size we needed. The installation was super simple. They came in and installed it. They were gone within a short time. They wanted to make sure it all worked and we were comfortable with it. They did a great job. So far, the quality has been great. It's done everything it's supposed to do and it seems to accomplish what we wanted to.

From SunSetter Awnings' salesperson to the installer, they were all fantastic. I had the SunSetter delivered to my house. The installers called the day before and showed up on time. They were very professional and nice people. They knew what they were doing. I watched them through most of the process and they were very good and everything turned out well. We had a choice of colors. We chose something to match our deck, and it has the remote retraction and extension on it, and the wind detector. We could open and close the awning with the push of a button, and it would cover the entire deck. And when it's out, we can finally enjoy our patio. The awning blocks the sun gives us a cooler temperature.

SunSetter Awnings' rep was knowledgeable. I called him and told him what I wanted. He came to show me the patterns in person so I could see what the fabric was, but I already knew what I wanted. Also, I installed the awning myself and it was very easy. Go ahead and call Sunsetter. It was a great experience.

I had a SunSetter awning from a previous purchase years ago and I was satisfied with it. So, this time, I just replaced it. I purchased an awning earlier this spring and the salesperson that I had didn't order the right one. After it got here, and I realized that it wasn't what I wanted, it was returned. I was grateful for that. I recontacted SunSetter, and we started over again. Sunsetter ordered me another one that was the correct model that I wanted. I waited and waited. Finally, I got ahold of the trucking company. They gave me a tracing number and I said, "Where is it?" The rep said, "We've lost it."

We're very happy with our SunSetter at this point. We have the wind sensor on it and there was one time where the wind came up and we didn't realize it and, all of a sudden, it was retracting. Our awning has given us much more use of our patio because of the sun hitting it directly most of the day. So on nice days, we have it out. We enjoy it. I'm not sure whether it's good or not if there's gentle rain because I always worry about it starting to mold. So, I'd like to pull it in when I think it's gonna rain. I missed the first five minutes of a little shower we had one time and I quickly started rolling it up and I noticed it was rolling up wet. So the very next day, when the sun came out, I extended it and it's dried. Other than that, we like it. It gives us much more use of the patio. We've had card games under it already. Early in the morning, we sit under it sometimes, especially during these hot days.

The Sunsetter team did a good job and they were gone in about four hours. The awning I got is motorized and has a remote, and I stick it out when I use it and suck it back in when I don't. The quality is very good, and I have recommended Sunsetter to friends.

When we bought our house, there was a SunSetter awning on it, which then got broken. It was left out in a thunderstorm. It was an old one, so SunSetter doesn't make the parts anymore. We opted to get a new one with wind control and lighting, but I'm not entirely happy with it. It's noisy when it starts. The awning we had tucked in under the eaves and the little flap on the awning didn't blow around much because it was in under the eaves. The new one has a six-inch flap that hangs out, which is very much in the wind and flaps rather noisily.

The installation was good, but I'm waiting for the awning to be repaired. Don't have it tilted because it's bad.

I have a deck, and it was extremely hot. I didn't wanna buy a hard cover, so I bought a soft cover. I wanted something simple. The awning is excellent. I use it when it's sunny outside. I like the shade. The SunSetter Awnings team was excellent. They were in and out quickly. I would recommend the company highly.

The team was very helpful and efficient, and they got it done very quickly. We got an awning that was a little narrower than the 20-foot width. We got an 18-quarter that fit exactly where we wanted it to be. It's automatic and it has the shade that pulls down on the front of it. It works great. We had our neighbors over one night and we had a party of 12 people come over and enjoy the SunSetter. We had a great time sitting out in the late afternoon when the sun was right there. Everybody's been very positive about the SunSetter and we let them know that it is SunSetter.

I went through Costco and the only option they had for awnings was SunSetter. So, I went with that and had the awning installed. It worked out really well.

I contacted a local company and the service was excellent. The SunSetter awning is beautifully made and I love it, but I wish it was less expensive.

I love Sunsetter. I have the shades that I bought from them a long time ago, so when I thought about putting up an awning, I just went with them. Installation was painless, and I've had the awning three months now. It's made a lot of difference because I have it on my back deck and it shades the sun coming in in the mornings on the east side. I'm satisfied with what I've had before and I'm also totally satisfied now.

Sunsetter sent me an advertisement in the mail, and I didn't know there were other awning companies. The awning is way too expensive. My husband was mad as heck because I got it. I went into that stupidly, and I won't do that again.

Love it! Best money I've spent in years. Remote control was a no brainer. Alexander, salesman-installer, was very nice and answered every question and put it up within days after it was received. I have had no trouble with it and have a good warranty. I also feel I can call Alexander if any need arises. I recommend this to everyone, so happy I have it.

I first bought a large awning for my sister's new home and loved it so much that I bought a smaller one for the balcony on my condo. Then my parents built a new deck and I surprised them with a new awning and they love it too! These awnings are game-changers for allowing you to be outside...it's like adding another room onto your home!

We had an automatic awning installed over our deck. It has made all the difference this super hot summer. It's so great! We have a lot of wind here and it's so nice to know that it will come in if it gets too intense. We really love the awning. And the Jackson men who installed it were so professional and thorough. Absolutely top notch all around.

Great product however could have been better designed. The awning works well except for the LED lights that are not part of the extended bar but rather are adhered by tape. In hot weather the lights fall off and hang from the bars. Notified the agent who advised us to zip tie them on. Not the greatest look to a $$$$ awning.

Purchasing an awning from Sunsetter has been an absolute nightmare. We ordered the awning the first week of May. It is August 4th and it still has not arrived. In addition we have no idea when it will. I have spoken with customer service a few times and all I get are apologies and excuses. $5,700.00 for a cheap flimsy BBQ so far. People that buy $5,700.00 awnings do not have much use for a $50.00 BBQ. We gave it away. BUYER BEWARE with these guys! They SUCK!

Ordered my spendy awning in May. Was told repeatedly that RXO would have it to my place. It took 3 months. Very disgusting and would never recommend. Was told 3-4 weeks and ended up 3 months. Never received anything. I refused to pay the delivery. That was the only compensation we received.

My new SunSetter Awnings have added an additional room to my house. They have made my patio area usable during the summer months. Our installer, A to Z Shades and Shutters were professional, timely and cost effective. I would highly recommend SunSetter Awnings and A to Z Shades and Shutters without reservation.

We ordered our product almost 2 months ago and it was shipped a few days later according to the e mails we have been sent, but we have not received the product yet. Just be aware the delivery company is very slow. I hope the product is worth the wait.

I like the SunSetter. But I didn't like how long it took to get it and install it. The shipping was delayed several times. It was not SunSetter's fault. It was the company that they used to deliver. The delivery company left it sitting on a bay in Texas for nearly a month. Sunsetter contacted me about the installation because the installer wouldn't install the awning till it was there. Even though we knew when it was coming, he wouldn't even schedule it. By the time it got here, the installer kept delaying. When he scheduled it, he didn't show up. I got a call from the rep guy after that saying they fired him and that they were bringing somebody out immediately. The second installer came out overnight and drove all the way from California to install it. None of it was SunSetter's fault and I love my SunSetter. I would've liked to have paid less. But now I stay outside a lot longer during the day.

We wanted some shade on our pool deck. I called SunSetter in for an estimate and I liked their product. The quality of the awning is very good. The installers were excellent too. The product is a little expensive. But other than that, I'm very happy with it.

SunSetter is the gold standard from all the research I did. They weren't the cheapest but they had the best reviews. I found them and then, I found a local dealer because I like dealing with local companies. They were close by and I called them directly. Eric's Awnings did a fantastic job. They explained the process as they went along and did a nice job explaining how to operate the awning but more importantly, when they weren't here, if there was bad weather, how to retract it manually if we needed to and the awning sensor. It was well-executed. So far, based on what I see and the material I feel, it seems like the awning is very top quality.

We had the right place for an awning. I added my dad a sun deck and it was getting too hot. So, the Sunsetter awning was for that. We used Overhead Door in Medford. They came out and gave us an estimate. After we paid, they came and installed it in five weeks and everything was in good shape. The awning is used daily now in the summertime. It works fine. It's everything we expected.

I've seen SunSetter's commercials on television for years and I decided to do it because our patio is in the back of the house and it was incredibly hot to sit out there in the summer. We wanted something with a shade. Two representatives came and they showed me different options and the pricing. They were knowledgeable and I had a good idea of what I was expecting. I've had the awning since May and so far, everything is fine. It makes a difference because it doesn't reflect the sun off the concrete on the patio so, it's much cooler out there. We use it every day.

I ordered a SunSetter awning through Costco, and it's exactly what I expected. It wasn't cheap, but it's a nice awning and we're happy. I would recommend it.

Sunsetter's customer service is great. We contacted a rep to come speak to us, and he came, took measurements and gave us a quote. It's expensive and I know a lot of people who would not be able to do it just because of the cost. However, we knew we wanted it, so we put it into the budget to be able to do it and the installation was great. The rep who came was also the install person, and we love the awning. It's perfect for the back of our house. It's near our pool, and it's wonderful for a sun shade. We wish we would have done it years ago. I love how they look when they're out and that they are electric. That's very convenient. We have the wind thing on it as well. That's great even though I'm afraid to take advantage of that. I put them in when it gets windy.

The install was quick and efficient, and it was very good. The awning is beautiful. It's over a patio, so when we get the afternoon sun, we put it out and it shades the patio.

I've heard about SunSetter Awnings and I figured they were a good product. So far, so good. We're getting shade. But the arms flop back and forth. I've had some problems with it that they would correct next week. We're not happy with the fact that it doesn't take very much wind. I would like to know exactly how many miles per hour wind it would take. I've read all kinds of things about how many miles per hour the wind could be, but I didn't find that true.

We had been trying to figure out what to do on our deck porch and we couldn't figure out the right solution. We decided that if we could get an awning that's a natural fit for it, it would be perfect. When the gentleman from SunSetter came to do the measurement, he said they got a size that would fit that and it would fit perfectly without any additional work. That was a big incentive for us. He carried it all the way through and answered all of our questions. He was patient with us and wanted to make sure we had everything taken care of. Also, the price fit our budget and we were happy with that.

We've had a SunSetter awning for 30 years and we needed to replace it. We ordered a new one online. It's a 20-something foot by 14 foot basic awning. It came in and we put it up. I think the fabric on the original one that we bought 30 years ago was better. It was thicker. It's on my deck in full sun and it's open all the time in the summer. We don't let it back. We only close it up in the fall. If it's gonna rain, we put it at a tilt. We lower one side down so that if we get a chance of rain and we're not home, it won't collapse it if it rains hard, and the rain just drains off of it. I always recommend SunSetter.

The rep with SunSetter did a fantastic job. He showed me some different samples and I was giving him my feelings of what was the best for the money that I could afford. He directed me and gave me the options, and I liked it. The awning matches the house, and it looks very nice. I love that it's automatic. I go out there and let it stretch out and retract. The fabric is nice as well. I had asked questions about when it gets wet. When they installed it, it was drizzling a bit. I asked about mildew and they assured me that mildew wouldn't set in. They said to stretch it out on any day that as though it had gotten dirty during the time it was extended. It's easily cleaned with a water hose. Also, it's a good value. If it's raining outside, I could still stay outside and breathe in some of that good fresh air. The other value that I like is if I should ever decide to move, I can take it with me.

We already have a SunSetter awning and we decided to add a second one. We got a motorized, wall-mounted awning and I installed it myself. It wasn’t the greatest but it was okay. It was just the instructions for where to mount the brackets were very vague. There could have been more instruction for the size of the awning that I had where those brackets needed to be. The awnings have only been up for maybe two months and we've already noticed a pinhole in the awning. This is the new one. I've had the other one up since 2016 and there are no holes in that awning. I was made aware of that pinhole being in there just last Friday. It has nothing to do with the installation. It’s under the roof when it's rolled up. So, I don't know what caused that and I will look into the warranty.

SunSetter had just two guys come out and they did a great job. So far, we like the quality well. We got the automatic awning and we ordered the wind sensor but we haven't had it put on yet. We decided after the sales guy had sold us on that but some guys are gonna fix that for us.

The sales rep had good follow-through. I was pleased with the service, and I'm very happy with the awning as well. Overall, my experience with Sunsetter was wonderful, and I have absolutely no complaints.

I got an awning from SunSetter back in 1999. It was a manual one and got damaged by hail. I got another one but it was destroyed by hail again. I replaced it again with another SunSetter, but I got a little better SunSetter this time. I got one that's automatic. I ordered it through Costco and hired a guy to help me put it up. So far, so good. I got a five-year warranty on it. My only issue is it's got a wind sensor in it and I've shaken that thing and done all kinds of things to it but it doesn't do anything.

The SunSetter shade I put on the front porch was not going up evenly. They ripped out paper towels and stuffed them in the blind to make it even. It was the cheesiest thing I've ever seen and I don't know if that's the way it's supposed to work. If they stick paper towels in one side, it evens it off but that's not a fix. It wasn't cheap either. I was upset that, for all the money I paid for it, they stick paper towels in one corner to make it better. Other than that, it's been a couple of months and the quality of the product has been fantastic so far.

We're happy with the purchase. We needed shade from the blazing hot sun on our deck and the installation of the SunSetter awning went perfectly. Eric's Awnings, a contractor out of Woodbury, Connecticut, took care of it for us. SunSetter is highly recommended. We've recommended them to a friend of ours, and they have already had theirs installed also.

It was super easy with SunSetter. A young man measured then the guy showed up, and I didn't have to pay anything ahead of time. They installed the awning in a very short order. I love the awning. It's a great product. It's a light color, very streamlined and not clunky. I love the operator too. The whole thing is well-designed. Not that they misrepresented, but it was a lot of money though. It was more than I had thought it would be. It would have been nice if it was a little less expensive, but it's a quality product. I'm assuming it's gonna last for a long time.

The sales rep came out to the house and I had a long discussion with her. She showed me all kinds of samples, and she was very nice and good. The installer was awesome as well. He was quick, neat, cleaned up everything, and explained everything. The awning came in the projected timeframe. There were no delays, too. Overall, I'm very happy with SunSetter's product and my contacts. It's a good company, and the quality of the awning is very good. I can't tell how long it's gonna last because I've only just installed it recently, but it looks good.

I had a very good experience with SunSetter. I saw them online and contacted the number, then I got this person that installs SunSetter awnings. The awning was quite expensive, but I got all the bells and whistles. Installation went very well. As matter of fact, they scheduled me two weeks out. I really wanted it a week sooner, and they rescheduled their other job to accommodate me.

I called Sunsetter and the lady told me how much everything was and it was pricey. But I decided to go with them because you get what you pay for. I was pleasantly surprised with my experience because the gentleman who sold me the SunSetter showed up when they were coming to install it. I didn't know he was gonna do that. That was so awesome. He wanted to make sure everything was great. He was there hanging out and making sure the guys did what they were supposed to. Everything was beautiful. I got the retractable electrical awning and it is amazing.

I was hooked up by doing a SunSetter search and they directed me to the closest dealer in my area. I called them and then somebody came to my house and showed me all the different options and all the choices. So that was all good. The installation was incredibly fast. It was less than an hour. They came when they said they were going to come. They were fast and efficient. It was two men. They were really nice. They left everything neat, clean, and orderly. It was great. We had a party yesterday and the kids were all under the awning. They were very happy.

The awning is nice looking. It's stripes. We got the Sunbrella material which was an upgrade. It's very nice. It's got the lights in it. The lights are beautiful. It's nice in the day and also at night. The Sunsetter rep that I dealt with was nice. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. He explained to us the things that we didn't even think of. The installation was quick and painless too. They did a good job. They put it right up. Sunsetter is a little pricey, but they're good quality.

SunSetter was good. I saw them in an ad and called them up for a quote and a gentleman came out and did a good job for us. The installation was a little messy and difficult for him. He had a tough time trying to find some studs to put it in, but he and his partner were very polite and did a nice job and came back and finished it up the next day. The awning seems to be working fine. So, I'm happy with it. It's done everything I thought it would do.

The SunSetter team was were very knowledgeable and they took care of everything. They installed the awning very quickly and made sure that I was satisfied. They also gave me some instructions and made sure that I understood how to open and close it and change certain things if I needed to. I got the motorized model and it's worth the money.

We got a SunSetter through a local contractor. That was a very smooth process other than it was extremely difficult to get fabric samples. We ended up never getting the fabric samples until after we'd ordered the awning. They finally arrived in the mail five or six weeks after we ordered them. When a customer asks for a fabric sample, SunSetter should send them out to them. But the awning is great and the wind sensor good. However, the lights are inferior for the money. I wouldn't spend that money again. The light temperature is completely wrong for the mood that you're trying to create. A bright white LED is not what you want in an evening when you're trying to relax. Also, when you look at the price of the LED light strips versus the benefit, it's not to be repeated by us.

I had a deck that the sun was rough on, and it's an area that we enjoy using. We looked out to all that was available to us and SunSetter was the one that met our requirements. I needed one that I could mash a button and it would open and close the top of the deck. I also needed something that was sun-resistant. The fabric SunSetter uses met that requirement, and they also had the color my wife wanted. It's a combination with the two different colors of blue and a light gray stripe.

We had had a SunSetter at our old house and we enjoyed it. When we got up here, we had a deck put on the house. We didn't want my husband sitting out there in the sun all the time so we called SunSetter. I had seen they were having a special on TV. However, I was not impressed with the first gal that I talked to. I was quite angry because she said there's no one in the area to put it up and that we couldn't get it. I knew that was a lie because I'd already had one. I waited a couple of days and called again. I told them I wanted to talk to a supervisor. I didn't wanna talk with somebody in between. I didn't get a supervisor but got this other guy who took my order. We set it up that I was to get a certain one and a grill.

I had someone install a SunSetter awning. He called in, got some answers and seemed happy with who he talked to. I like the awning. So far, so good. It's guaranteed for 10 years.

I live in a 55 and older community where a lot of the homeowners have gotten an awning for their decks. It's been so hot, and anything that might provide some shade outside is attractive right now. I heard of the name SunSetter as being a quality product, and the contractor that we approached about installing an awning recommended that we do SunSetter. I got a retractable awning with a remote that goes with it, and it's really convenient. It covers our deck, and in my opinion, quality is measured over time, but right now, it definitely seems like a quality product.

We got good feedback from people I've known who had SunSetter, so we went with the product, and everything was great. SunSetter has really good people. They were on time, did great communication, and let us know when the awning arrived and when it would be installed. The guys were here for four and a half hours. We're very happy with the product. It's well-made, it does what it says it's gonna do, and we've had no issues. The awning definitely improved our outdoor space, and we have the option to remove the sun.

I have friends that have SunSetter and they love it. We've seen it in person at our friend's house, and I asked them where they got it from. The sales rep was thorough, and installation was great. They were right on time, and they said they'd take up to two hours but it was just a little over an hour. SunSetter was easy to work with and prompt. The awning is high end, and it's great quality. I'd buy again. We love our awning. We can stay outside longer, and it's about 20 degrees cooler. I give people cards about SunSetter 'cause they left me some cards.

We called SunSetter and had them come out and take a look at our backyard. The rep measured everything, gave us a good quote, and explained everything. We got some incentives that they had going on at the time so it helped. It's still an expense but the SunSetter awning is perfect. We have a little remote that we can open and close it with. If others need something like this, SunSetter is the place to go.

I was looking for an awning and knew that Costco sold awnings. I looked at them first and saw SunSetter Awnings, but it was like I had to find my own installer. I said, "I'm not going to do that." I reached out to SunSetter and found an installer. I hooked up with them, and everything went well. It's a power awning and that works well. We've had it for about a month, and we're pleased with it.

We ordered a 20' SunSetter Platinum Motorized awning from Mike at Bast Awnings in Lincoln, CA. We ordered a custom color, so it took almost a month for the awning to arrive. Mike installed it in about 3 hours and it's perfect. The mounts are under the eves so the awning fits flush with the gutter. I'm so impressed that I want to order another awning at a different location in Lake County, CA. My thanks to Sunsetter and to Mike, the installer/salesperson.

My experience with SunSetter was good. I had a local guy come and measure. He sat down with me and answered questions. The installation went well. As long as the wind's not too crazy, we put the awning out and put some shade on our deck so we can sit out there and relax. We're pleased with the awning. It does what it's supposed to do.

The team was excellent. They came and did their job without a whole lot of foolishness. They were out there and did it in three hours. They also showed me how to work it. I would recommend SunSetter. It's an excellent awning.

SunSetter is one of the better companies to look at. After my contractor showed me the difference between SunSetter and a couple of others that were comparable, I agreed with him that this SunSetter was the best way to go. They did an excellent job during the installation. I like my experience with SunSetter but I have a bit of problem at the moment. Part of the awning has been damaged because of wind, and I had been told that wouldn't happen. I've been trying to get the guy who installed it but he's been super busy.

When you think of awnings, you think of SunSetter. At first, they were hard to get ahold of. But once I got ahold of them, they came out and gave the estimate. They had to order the awning, so it took about eight weeks. Then, we got the wrong one. But they put it up and let us use it for four to five weeks until the right one came in. So that was very good customer service there. The G&H Designs that installed and we bought our SunSetter awning through was also very professional to deal with, friendly, and courteous. They also lived up to their words.

SunSetter is very expensive, but I would recommend them. Their reps were very polite and three weeks or so after I talked to their sales team, my awning was installed. The installers weren't there more than a couple of hours and the awning was good quality. I enjoyed it.

When I contacted SunSetter, they said they would send somebody to the house so I could pick out the stuff. They sent the contractor to the house and the contractor had his own plan on what he was going to do. I'm still getting stuff online from SunSetter about free this, 200 off this, 500 off this. SunSetter is out of the loop after they send the contractor to the house. But the guys who came for the installation did a great job. They were quick and very professional. They showed me everything I needed to know.

We ordered a SunSetter awning over the phone then they shipped it. We had it for over a month before we could get it up because in the packaging, they sent the wrong brackets. I called them and ordered some more brackets but they sent the wrong ones again. I kept having to do this little dance with the installer trying to work with his schedule and mine. It was a big inconvenience because we got some other stuff going on and we didn't need to deal with all that. We also had to pay for the shipping. I ended up getting a discount on the original shipping of the awning, which was a pretty good chunk, for my inconvenience. But we should have gotten a little more discount than what we got.

SunSetter had better quality and price, so it was an easy decision to go with them. The installation was very quick and efficient. But we had one little issue with a cap that came off on the end, so I had to have their team come back to replace that with something that couldn't just be snapped back on. Also, since I wasn't there when they finished, there were a couple of things that they were not able to explain to me like how to operate the awning as far as dimming the lights because I had lights attached to it. But I happened to see that in the instruction book when I wanted to call them and have them come back. So, when I had them come back, they talked to me about that as well as how to adjust the sensitivity for that wind sensor. So I was glad that they talked to me about it because I didn't know that the sensitivity was adjustable. Their tech showed me that as well.

By and large a very good product and we're very happy with our purchase. One disappointment, the end caps will not hold without the use of zip ties. Both ends don't fit to the same degree, the caps would need another 1/8" in depth to clip on and hold themselves in position.

The guy who came in and gave me the estimate was great. The guys that put up the awning were great as well. I have recommended SunSetter to my neighbor. Various people had it and said that they liked it.

Everything went well. The sales rep was very polite and did a good job, and the installers finished very promptly. We like the awning very well. It seems sturdy and a good product. I would recommend it.

We’re starting to use our SunSetter awning more 'cause the weather here is getting warm. But it is upsetting that it doesn't have a side shade that you can block off the sun. 'Cause it's coming in big time. Maybe during the daytime, early day, it's in the front of the house and the sun is being blocked. But when it comes all the way around to the side of the house, the sun comes right into the area where we are. It's a roof mount because we don't have the height and it was very expensive. It was almost $7,000. If I had to do it over again, I probably wouldn't do it. We looked at it three years ago. The same person came down three years ago and the price is $3,700 more in three years. He was giving us 4,200. “Let’s do it for 4,000,” he said. Now it's $6,700.

We moved into this house and the deck is on the side. In the afternoons, it's intolerable unless you have awning to help shade the deck. A representative came and looked at what we wanted, measured it and gave us the price. Then the installation team showed up, put it up, and it worked. We have two SunSetter awnings, and they both have remote controls. They both retract if the wind gets extreme. It's much more convenient. We had a SunSetter awning in our previous home for 20 years and it was manual. We had to manually extend it and roll it up.
