The SunSetter sales rep was very knowledgeable and good. The installers were also professional and did a good job. The only thing I've noticed when we're using it in the rain, it seems to puddle at the end. Then when I tracked it back in, it all just splashes down. But I'd recommend it, especially in the summertime.

For the most part, my experience with SunSetter was fairly good. Everybody was nice. We had to have the awning material and the remote replaced. The lights weren't working. It didn't go easy, but it seems to be okay now. The installer was very nice. Brought somebody with him, but the wiring for the lights was left hanging. I was gonna have to get zip ties to neaten it up. But when they came out to replace the box that controlled the lights that weren't working properly, that gentleman said, “This is not right. This should be all neat. I'll fix it.” He did and he did a very good job of it.

We looked into SunSetter Awnings, and we talked with someone on the phone. Sunsetter scheduled someone to come out. And we went through the process of what and how to do it. We decided that it was something we wanted to do. So, we contracted with them. The first time we had two awnings, because the way the deck was made, we had two. They were side by side. We couldn't get one that was big enough to stretch the whole length that we wanted plus one needed to come out further than the other. There were some differences in the way that the deck was designed. And we saw a color that we like. It was a stripe color and it was automatic. We had covers for it for the winter. And it was easy to manipulate.

I love our SunSetter awning. It's big and has black stripes, and has the remote control.

The installation went very well but the awning didn't take care of all the sun problems however. Other than that, my experience with SunSetter was all good.

The sales rep was concise. We went right through and were done within half an hour. For the installation, I had to call an electrician first and have an outdoor plug ready. Then two men came out and put the awning up. They also gave me a hand crank in case the electricity went out. I love the awning. I love pressing the button. It takes less than a minute to come out and it's quiet.

I told the installation team where we wanted the awning set up and they set it up then showed me how to use it. I love it, so far. It's easy to use. It's just a push of a button. I also love that it comes with a 10-year warranty.

When I started researching SunSetter Awnings, they came up and there was a location close to me that they were able to send somebody out and take care of us. What I like is that the rep wasn't pushy. He just gave us the information and let us make the decision. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He had a book that showed all the different options and colors. He covered what was available. It was a good experience. After the installer was done, he visited with us on our deck and he was very friendly and interactive. We liked him.

My house faces the west and where the kitchen is, it got hotter than heck when the sun was out. We decided to look at SunSetter. We had this guy out and he said they were from SunSetter. They come put in the awning and charged me. Everything was fine but when I had wind damage from the storm, a guy out of Windsor Heights came out and he said my awning was not a SunSetter. The guy that came initially was fired by him. The guy from Windsor said he won't give me crap and he replaced the whole thing including the railing. He did a good job and I was satisfied. He was fantastic. My awning has a remote control, wind sensor, and lights in it. It's a nice and beautiful awning. The only thing is, I'm not gonna enjoy my awning because I'll be moving next month. But in the home I'm moving into, there's already a SunSetter awning there.

I like everything SunSetter did. The rep showed me different colors and different styles. He was a very nice man. He was very good at what he did or I probably wouldn't have bought it. I don't do anything with snotty people. He said the price was going to be going up on them so we went ahead and had them do it last fall. He treated us well. The people that came to put it on also treated us well. I like the awning. It's very pretty. Quite a few people have commented on how nice it looked when I had it out. We put it out different times to check it out and it covers my area that I needed to be covered, right out of my deck, in front of my door. It's gonna be perfect for us this summer.

The way the sun sets, the awning doesn't do the total job. But it's good. The installation guy did a great job. He cleaned up after himself and blew the leaves off the patio. But the salesperson was very rude to me. After I signed the contract, I explained to him that I would be leaving in May and that he had to give me a notice so I could come back to Myrtle Beach for him to install the awning. He called me one day and was wanting to do it two days later. I told him I couldn't be there. I gave him a date that I could come and be there, and he blew up. He ended up hanging up on me. I ended up waiting till the end of the summer.

I worked with a local blind company that sold SunSetter awnings and they were great. They showed up when they were supposed to and installed the awning very well. We had it installed nearly two months ago, and it was expensive, but it's a very quality product. We like it a lot so far.

It was long before a rep came out here to install the awning. I almost canceled it. But everything worked out just fine and I'm enjoying the awning very much. I have all of the amenities and hookup that if it is out when the storm comes, then it will automatically come back in. It shields me from the early morning sun and it also shields me from the rain because it encompasses all of my porch. I'm very satisfied with it.

We tried three different-named companies, but the product they all sold was SunSetter, so we called the source. SunSetter sent out a gentleman, and our interactions were very nice. He was pleasant, answered our questions, and gave us the information we wanted. We took some time, then we purchased the awning from him. We got a front panel, side panels and lights. It's a cloth and vinyl combination, and we purchased a motor with the awning as well. The installers went to work, and we’ve used the awning some a couple days in November.

I have a patio that has southern exposure and lots of sun. I needed shade and SunSetter looked like a good option based on my research. There's a local guy here that sells them out of his home. I went to his home and he showed me his SunSetter awning and let me play with it and convinced me that it was what I wanted and then had me order it. When it came in, he installed the awning and did a good job so I was quite pleased. I used it for a short period of time at the end of the summer and it seemed fine. It works well and it retracts and extends without any difficulty. They put LED lights on it so it has a pleasant atmosphere in the evening with the lights on. SunSetter is pricey but they're a good product and I recommend it.

I found a local person who deals with SunSetter and I called him. He replied right away. He came one time and showed me. I placed an order and as soon as the product came in, they installed it. They were prompt. They told me the delivery time. It was in the same time window. They were quick to install. It was a very easy experience for me.

We have SunSetter's motorized awning to help with the temperature. The installers were on time and they explained things to me. They took things slowly work-wise. We've had the awning for six months and it's okay. The only thing about SunSetter was with reaching out to them and getting ahold of somebody to speak with. It was delayed for a long time.

We had a SunSetter awning in our prior house in New Jersey and on my rental home down here in Florida. Then, I called them again because I wanted two awnings at our main home here. One over the garage and one over my table under my birdcage. I wanted the one from the garage to go out into the driveway so when the car is outside, it's not under the sun. It's under the the awning which keeps the car cool. The guys from SunSetter came and measured. They came when they said they would, then they got the awnings up.

The sales representative from SunSetter was very knowledgeable and he brought samples so we could look at the material. Then, the two gentlemen who installed our awning did a very good job. They took the old one down and put the new one up within a couple of hours. We got a regular awning with a remote and we like it because it's an upgrade to the one we had before. The new awning also covers a larger area and they were able to angle it so it didn't hit my head when it came out. Our old awning was designed for a smaller deck, so when you walked out, the awning was there and you hit your head on the top of it when it came out.

The price is right with SunSetter. I checked other places and they had the best price. Also, the installer did a good job on the installation.

The team when they came out was on time and courteous. It didn't take them that long to put up the awning. I'm completely pleased with them. I got one of their top-of-the-line awnings and it has the cassette that goes right into the house. It buckles up really nice. One of the real nice features that we like are the lights. They're completely electric. It's great quality.

We got a standard medium grade SunSetter. The price was stable and the process was easy. It was installed nicely. Mine is fully automatic. We enjoyed it last summer. We used it quite a bit.

The sales rep was efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly. It's his business, so he was interested. He gave me brochures that showed me the awnings. I also have neighbors that I've seen how their awning works. The installers were also friendly and very efficient. They came when they said they would and were very helpful in showing me how to use the awning. I got the one that's remote controlled, and I have a crank in case of emergency. It's very good at keeping the sun off of my patio.

For the most part, my experience with them was great. I'm extremely happy with it and would do another SunSetter if I had to. The awning looks very nice.

The experience with SunSetter was very good and there were no glitches. It was smooth sailing. The awning is of good quality. SunSetter could improve on customer follow-up though. When you talk to one of the agents and they're all busy, and they tell you to leave your number and they'll call you back, they never do. It's very frustrating.

We had a good experience with them. The installation was very sufficient and quick. They did a good job with it. We use it quite often. I like the fact that it got an automatic button to push it to put it in and put it out. I would recommend SunSetter.

I knew three or four people that used SunSetter and they said enough good about the rep and the quality of the awning. I called SunSetter and they called me back almost immediately and they came for an appointment within a couple of days. There was not a lot of waiting time. The saleswoman was very knowledgeable. When the installation team came, it was the same thing. They explained everything, were extremely friendly, and made sure that they answered the questions on our part before they left. They were very professional. Overall, it was a very good experience. We used the awning last summer and the early fall.

We had a SunSetter awning for years. I can't imagine not having one on our patio. We got another one when we moved here. I got the remote because we're 75. Our other one was manual and I had an entire list of how you set it up and take it down.

The installation of our SunSetter was okay. However, we were a little disappointed. There was not a lot of explanation of how to do things, so we had to figure it all out ourselves. Sometimes, it opens and then goes right back up the way before we started all on its own.

I used SunSetter before and I was happy with them. I used them again and the awning that I got this time is 2 feet shorter and a different color, but it’s the one that's motorized. The material is good for rain and sun.

The sales rep sounded like he knew what was going on and was very helpful. We went in the back patio and talked about a few things. He gave suggestions. We looked at fabric and materials and that was how we decided. We were looking for something that could be rolled out. We have storms every once in a while and high winds and we wanted something that could handle that.

Everything has been perfect with SunSetter. One awning is at my restaurant. It's working very nicely. Last year, I put one more in my house. I called the same guy again. He's a very nice person.

We opened our SunSetter awning and looked at it. The first one had a little tear in it, so they had to replace it. It seems fine from what I can tell so far. As far as their people, everybody was polite and cleaned up their messes.

Our SunSetter awning was installed nicely. It looks good, and I'm happy with it. The installers were great. I barely knew they were here besides when they knocked on the door and then when getting ready to leave to show me how to use it.

The SunSetter Awnings team answered all my concerns. I dealt with SunSetter before when we used to have a camper and we were out at Colorado. My awning got bent and SunSetter gave me a whole new awning with no charge so I was happy. The installation went very fast. It was much quicker than I thought it was. Everything worked out fine.

My house came with a SunSetter awning and it was damaged. I had it replaced. The reps were great and the installation was smooth and fast. I'm very happy to have the awning.

I have two SunSetter awnings. One is in Colorado, and another is in Phoenix. The one in Colorado was perfect. It was the same person who sold it and installed it. In Phoenix, it was mounted on a beam, which we knew. There was a salesperson and then a different installer, and neither one of them mentioned that the screws that they were gonna put into the beam were a little bit longer than the thickness of the beam. The sales guy probably knew that but maybe he didn't bother to check. The installer came and he put it up. He made eight holes in the beam, so the wood splintered. Then he told me that and then left. We didn't see it until after he left. When we called him to mention it to him, he said, “Well, I showed your husband,” which was an out-and-out lie. He did not show my husband. Then he mentioned that the sales guy should have told us that the screws were longer.

The installation team was in and out quickly. They did a good job.

Everything was perfect. Everybody did their job correctly. I was satisfied. We sure will enjoy it as soon as this winter gets over.

I called SunSetter because the awning has to be tightened. They were supposed to send somebody but he never came. But the installers were good. There was no problem there. It was just because they had retracted the awning, I didn't realize that it was loose and should have been tightened up. I also like the awning.

We bought a SunSetter for our home up in California about eight years ago. We've been very happy with it. Everything was good. Their guy did a good job and was responsive. He did what he said he was gonna do. Our SunSetter is multicolored with bands in it. It's 14 feet long and it’s extended. It also goes out automatically. I've enjoyed the product over the years so we bought one for our winter house down in Tucson. We put it here because we don't have much of a patio.

The local guy here answered my call, came out and gave estimates and then ended up installing. It was fantastic. He did a great job, explained everything he was doing, worked out a payment plan with me, and I was totally satisfied.

SunSetter's reps were super. I picked the color of the awning that we wanted and I worked with them on the size. The guys who installed our awning were also very nice. We had it installed right when summer was over. We have woods behind us and we sat out there a lot to watch the birds. It's sunny back there and we sat out there in 38 degrees under our awning and bundled up.

Back in the late ‘90's, I had a SunSetter installed in my Colorado home and 15 years later when I moved out, there was some separation in the stitching on some of the canvas, But other than that, it was working the day it was installed. So, I felt that was incredible validation of their product and 15 years later, it's unlikely that they have gotten worse, so I didn't even bet and purchased from them again. I like the awning that I recently bought and what's even more important is that my homeowners association likes it. I'm also going to go and have another one put on. The awnings that cover a span of approximately 35 feet and the one that was put up is about 20 feet. So, I'm going to add another 15 feet to it sometime this year.

I purchased from SunSetter because I wanted to try to utilize my back deck. But that awning is useless to me. It doesn't block any sun because the evening sun shines right up under it. But other than that, my experience with SunSetter's reps was good.

I bought my first awning in 2004, and I never had any cover on the driveway. I had to get a second one, so I went back to SunSetter. They have good quality material. However, the people that were supposed to deliver had a truck and couldn't get up into my door. I had to go down there and pick it up, and they owe me something for that. These people weren't UPS. Somebody else took over the company, and it's lousy. The installation cost me a lot of money as well 'cause SunSetter doesn't have anybody up in my area that does the work.

The customer service and the installers were excellent. Everything with SunSetter went perfectly fine.

I got the XL awning. Sunsetter has a good salesman and installation crew. They can lower their prices though.

The rep was thorough. He gave us all the information and answered any question we had. The installation crew was quick and efficient. They were very informative on how to use the SunSetter. They were not the least expensive though. So the price could be better.

I had an excellent experience with their team. They were very knowledgeable. The installation experience was perfect.

The guys who installed the SunSetter awning were very helpful and cleaned up after themselves. During the installation, the installer told me that there's some kind of sensor that you can get that will automatically retract the awning if it senses winds over 20 miles an hour and the salesperson never mentioned that to me. That’s something I would be interested in. So, I called Shank Door after the installers left and they said the salesperson would call me back. He was busy. But I've never received a call back. The awning is expensive so we'll see, quality-wise, how it holds up.

I'm a previous SunSetter customer in Southern California and my neighbor had a SunSetter awning put in a year ago, so I'm familiar with SunSetter awnings. I purchased two of them. I've got a walkout basement that was in need of an awning and on my main floor, which has an elevated deck, I needed one there, too. Everything was great. The installers were very professional and they cleaned up after themselves. Overall, SunSetter has quality products and fantastic customer service.

Their rep Carol was really nice. But they only have one style of awning and they didn't have the scalloped one anymore. The old SunSetter awning we had that was damaged was scalloped at the end. But that's fine and they had a lot of different colors so I picked what I liked. The installer was okay but he was young and he did not put the awning up the right way. There were screws missing. Also, the tech was turning one of the screws so tightly and my husband, who was sitting on the patio said, "He's going to strip that screw. Watch what happens." No sooner did my husband say that and all of a sudden, the whole thing snapped.

I needed something to keep the sun out and I trusted the local SunSetter dealer, so I got an awning from them. The installation went well, and I was able to customize it.

SunSetter is good. The rep was nice. She explained everything well. The installer did a neat and tidy job. He was excellent.

SunSetter sent a boatload of information and they had all the discounts. I do a little due diligence also, and I found out that they make quality stuff. The SunSetter team that I worked with to get everything done was out of Ventura, and it was a little bit hard getting return phone calls at first, but we finally did get in touch with them. They contract out to an installer. He was a little bit of an odd duck also, but it all got done and he did certainly seem to know what he was doing. So, that was good. The awning has been fine. I ended up installing a sensor on it, and that turned out to be a big hassle but we got it done finally. The tech support was okay with that, and they were responsive. As far as it working, we haven't had any problems with it, so it's working okay. The only thing is it was expensive.

The person who came out to the house that I met with was great. The installation went pretty well. When the installation team showed up, they just made assumptions, didn't ask any questions, and then installed the awning. It wasn't exactly what I wanted. But that's okay. I can work with it. I like it. I would still do it again, 100%.

SunSetter's rep had a lot of knowledge of their product. Our experience was pretty smooth. They came out, gave me the brochure and we chose the color we liked. The awning is pretty nice.

I have a workshop in a barn and I have an area outside of the workshop where I sometimes use tools that produce a lot of sawdust. I had an episode this past summer where I was taking a medication that I was sensitive to sunlight and it was something I had never taken. The warning was there but so many times I was like, "Okay, one in a million." I was that one in a million and I had a pretty good severe skin reaction to that sun. I can work out here in the summer if I had some shade. I can also do that during the fall and spring depending on the weather. I looked into SunSetter and that turned out really well. I really like it.

Everything with SunSetter was fine. I'm happy so far.

Everything was great but the guy never offered me the awnings that come with LED lights. Only when he installed it was it mentioned that they come with LED lights. I asked why wasn't it offered and he didn't have anything to say to me. He said I didn’t ask but he was supposed to tell me that. Then he said he can install it but it’s gonna be another $700 and I didn't really like that. It should have been offered and it would have been factory-installed. Other than that, everything works fine.

The sales rep was very informative and helpful. He worked with us to get what we wanted. But during the installation, things weren't lining up and the installers had a hard time. It took them a long time when they tried to put the awning in the support but they got it installed and it just works fine.

They were very good. The two gentlemen who came to install the awning were very professional and they did a good and very clean job. They installed it in a very short time and they explained how to operate it. I was very pleased with my experience.

The rep was wonderful and the installers were here when they said they would be. They didn't take long and they cleaned up their map. They answered any questions I had with the process and what they were doing. I'm very pleased with SunSetter.

Both the installations of my awnings were very good. The local distributor is very knowledgeable and does a very good job. So far, the quality of the awnings has been phenomenal. We get very strong winds on Cayuga Lake and so far, I've had no trouble.

We have the motorized awning and I like it very much. I'm very happy with the product. So far, we love SunSetter. They're really nice.

The SunSetter sales lady and the first installation team were very good. Somehow, when they got here to install it the first time, it was the wrong awning. We had it set up to get installed just before Labor Day. On Labor Day weekend, we were having an open house for my wife's birthday. They installed it and I said, “Now, wait a minute. This isn't the right thing.” So, they called back the installation team, and I had a very good experience with them. They were really friendly and really good guys to work with.

I had some difficulty reaching the consultant and I was surprised by the expense. But once I got in touch with him, he explained it carefully and he was polite. He came back when I had a bit of difficulty because the awning blew a fuse in my house. Other than that, the awning looks good. But I would only attempt this if I had a reliable contractor intervening.

Tom was a great guy. His people did a wonderful job. He came and checked it himself a couple of times. The installation went well. But I have some major suggestions on installations. If you're going to run the electric down to the plug, I'd put that in some kind of plastic conduit to make it look neater. Even with your plastic connector above the awning, I would put that in a plastic container to protect it more and make it look better.

I called their 800 number and I spoke to their rep, Mark, on the phone. In the first conversation, we were on the phone for about an hour and he explained to me everything. It went so well that I ordered the awning and then I paid for everything right after our one-hour conversation. Then, the following day I needed to adjust something and it was no issue. He was more than happy to appease me with anything I had. The installation went great. His guys came out, put up the SunSetter, and cleaned up the debris, the old shingles, and all that stuff. I was extremely happy. The quality of the awning looks good and everything was wonderful.

We're happy with the SunSetter. The team was awesome. They were quick and they got the job done. It was a fabulous experience and we love it.

SunSetter’s customer service was very good. I spoke with them and they referred me to the local vendor who then, in turn, sold and installed the unit for me. Everything worked out well.

SunSetter gave me different options for color and material. The installation took the tech a few hours. But they were neat and they picked everything up. They did the install in like a timeline that I could do because I was off of work, and I had to go back to work. They were able to manage to get it done when I was able to be home which I liked.

I paid $9K for a platinum 14 x 11'8" motive denim 4895 with wallmount, wind sensor, weather sensor and phone app. After 2 days, the phone app didn't work. Later, the rain sensor that was supposed to retract the awning, didn't work. When the sun came out, the awning didn't expand. The tiniest breeze caused the wind sensor to retract the awning. In short, nothing works as promised in the contract. I have complained to the main company and local company but all they do is send a link for me to troubleshoot these problems myself. No support, no guarantee of the product. The material is nice, the color is quite lovely - but getting it to operate is nil - as is the customer service.

It's a nice awning. SunSetter is expensive, but they're worth it, especially for my wife and I because we're up in years now. The electric motor can be retracted or extended. But whenever they sell a SunSetter, they should check to make sure there's a plug-in to be able to plug it in. I had a 100-foot extension cord there and the installer picked it up and plugged in the awning there. That's very dangerous to have that extension cord with that on there. It's not very good. Either the person that sold the awning to me or the installer should have said something to me. So I had to have an electrician come out and put an extra plug-in there where the SunSetter thing could be plugged in closer.

The SunSetter representative was very good at all the suggestions that he made when we were looking at the awning. He told us a set time and a date, and everything went smoothly. The installers were great and installed it within a short time. It was good work. They know what they're doing. Having the awning gives us more shade in the afternoon when it's particularly hot. It cools the birdcage down. So all in all, it's very nice.

We have a screened-in porch with a side that was sunnier where I had outside furniture. It was too hot to sit. I wanted to check the SunSetter awning so I called and got a nice woman. The awning is fine. But it took forever to get it because of some snafu in the electronics of things. It was on a truck that it wasn't on. Initially, it showed to be in Manchester. It took two weeks for them to locate it somewhere else. And that was only through a phone call because a poor woman wanted to know how come in her truck was something that she didn't have paperwork for. It wasn't what I expected as a happy experience.

The guy in SunSetter, Erie, was very responsive to texts and phone calls. He met my wife to sign the contract when I wasn't available. He kept the order moving. Everything went great. SunSetter's lead times were three times better than anybody else.

We had one of these SunSetter awnings in our old house. The other one was 11 feet. This one is 14 or 15 feet. We took the higher grade of material and bought the lights and wind sensor with it. It also has the motor with it and the remote. It's a good product, but it's way expensive. It's hard to budget something that you're only going to use five months at a year that's gonna hang on the outside of your house. Based on from when we bought the last one to when we bought this one, the price has jumped significantly. And because of that, we were against the wall whether or not we would go ahead with it. We paid 3,800 for the last one we bought. And granted, this was three feet longer. I couldn't see three feet jumping the price by almost 4,000. But we paid over $7,000 for this. Our son was looking at doing something similar until he found out what we paid for this thing and he went with lawn umbrellas.

The purchase was really easy. The installer was really cooperative and kept me posted on the timeline. I went with SunSetter because of the quality and the fact that there were the Sunbrella materials. I really like the color choices. The only thing that was negative was that when it arrived, there was some kind of scuffs, almost like dents, in the piece that holds the awning. But the installer came back, and he did some kind of a repair to it. So, it was fine. I like the wind guard feature where it just pops back because we live in a windy place. I really like the way the awning looks and the coverage. I like the motor. I'm very happy with it.

The awning has been pretty good. The only issue I have with the awning is that it sits up on the roof and it's not covered. I didn't like that.

SunSetter is widely known and I liked their reputation as well as the look of their products. One gentleman did the presentation and that was decent. He seem to know what he was saying and was quite transparent. The awning I got is not electric and we have to do everything to open or close it. We started using it in the summer, mostly in the afternoon or morning. It provides shade and protection from light rain. But it has limitations and I wish it was a little sturdier and more reliable in most weathers. In bad weather such as windy and rainy weather, it doesn't come very handy. That part is a downer. We have to watch out for the weather and I wish it wasn't the case. This awning cost me almost 8,000 and it is not worth it. Look for other choices if you have any.

A salesman came out and he was great. But he oversold and underdelivered. The product itself is great and 100%. Things broke down when it came to the installer, the crew, the owner of the company, and the communication. We didn't have a normal installation where we weren't putting the awning seven feet off the ground. We were putting it 13 feet off the ground because of the way our windows are in our back. We have an outdoor kitchen. The salesman said that was not a problem and that they could install that. But then the owner of the company called me to try to talk me out of putting it up high and I told him that was where we wanted it.

I got three awnings. One was the wrong size, so they had to take them back out and redo them. When they finally came back, they brought one back and it still was the wrong shade or covering. They're supposed to come back in a week or two to replace it and I haven't heard from them. Also, I didn't know that the awnings were for the sun. I thought it was for the rain also. But after they installed them, the installer said, "When it's raining, you really shouldn't have them out either." So I was a little upset about that, but too late.

Everything was 100%. The installation was quick and easy. When we sit out on the deck, we use the awning all the time.

The rep who came out was excellent. He's the owner of the company and he came in person, which was good. When they did the work, it was very rapid. The awning is a good product and it looks very nice.

The price on TV, and the price we got are two different prices. But it was because of the material and the remote control one. There is supposed to be some free stuff, but I never got that. The covering for it for the winter. The guy that installed it took my cellphone and put his number in. So, I can call him and ask him about it. He was very friendly. SunSetter turned out to produce a good product as I was told it was. But I was a little disconcerted with them getting about a $200 thing off. Nobody would honor the rest of it that I got in the mail offering me almost another $1,000 off because I had already placed my order. That was four days after I placed my order. But the awning has lived up to what it said it would so far. The people who put it in were fabulous. In my case, they were wonderful to work with. I absolutely love what the awning has done for my outdoor living and my general space on the patio. So I would do it again. The awning is too expensive. But this is my son's home, and I didn't want to put up something that might have to be replaced in five years. This came with an unconditional 10-year guarantee. When high winds hit and I wasn't here, it brought it in very nicely and nothing has been damaged or harmed.

We've had a SunSetter awning since the 90s, and we were very happy with it. We replaced the fabric and repaired the spring ourselves at one time. But it worked very well. We liked it. We went right back to another one because we thought it was very good. The installer did good. The only thing I don't like is the cord that he put down, all he did was put a small nail in there and bend it over. They should have had a nice molded piece. They make the clips like that. It will stay, but I'm gonna get my own clips to put on there. Other than that, it did very well.

The installers were good but when they left, there were sharp little pieces of aluminum left around. Also, it made it through Hurricane Ian without damage.

SunSetter responded right away and found somebody in my area. The sales rep contacted me right away and came out. He talked about what he could do and what I would like and he made it happen. The only thing that really kind of bothered me about that is he said it would take two to five weeks to get there. It was right in the middle of summer so the five weeks is almost up. I called and asked if my awning is coming in and the rep said it was there. They didn’t call me to tell me and that kind of really irked me. They could have told me and we could have set up an appointment for them to come in. It was 90 degrees outside. The sun was beating down on the patio, I’d like to enjoy it. Other than that, everything else was great.

I installed the awning myself and it worked out really good. We sit out there in the shade in the morning. Also, we decided to buy the awning along with the side curtain and it works fabulous for shading those windows.

The price of SunSetter was decent. The installation was okay. They had to come back and fix something though. My siding is thicker than the spacer they used. One of the pieces of siding was too tight and it was popping off. So, they had to loosen it. They also had to come back and put on the LED lights. We think it looks cheap. It was installed using zip ties. When we're spending all this money on something, it should look nicer than that. But we like the fabric and the ease of use.

We have a big tree in our front yard and my husband didn't want to have it cut down. I said, "If you do that, we're getting a SunSetter." We haven't had the tree cut down yet. But it really makes a difference. The only thing is, I wish it would have been a foot and a half or two feet wider across the front. Because there is a gap on each side of the porch, where the sun comes through right into my front door. But the awning functions great. It's color blue and it matches my house really well.

The price of SunSetter that I was quoted was significantly lower than other prices that I've received. The experience was very good, but one thing didn't work out. The size isn't exactly what I was asking for. I ordered a 10x12 and they ended up giving me a 9x10. The thing that surprised me too was the material choice was a lighter material. While it blocks the sun, it doesn't block the heat at all. In fact, with the awning open, it's even hotter under there than without it. If there was some undercoating, that would be perfect. Because that way, we reflect that heat off.

I couldn't get any information on when the unit was gonna be arriving and when the unit was gonna be installed. The unit was not working properly though. I had to get them coming back. They came back and adjusted it. It seems to be working fine now. The awning is nice. It was expensive. But you get what you pay for.

The team at SunSetter was pretty good. The only complaint I have about the awning is they gave me a cover and the cover doesn't fit. I spoke to the guy yesterday and he told me to try it from the other end, but it’s not lining up. Other than that, everything went good and having the awning has made a lot of changes. I've also contacted SunSetter for a couple of things they've had to come out and look at, and always quick on the response.

The awning is pretty heavy duty, so they're good. I got the motorized awnings and they seem to be working fine. The fellow that installed it is gonna come back out later this week and help me fine-tune some things and answer some questions and make some final adjustments. I had 15 footers installed and the second one ran into trouble getting it mounted up there. When they finally got that resolved, they forgot to change the pitch on that one. So we need to get them to match. Then I have questions about winterizing them so that they will be out of the weather underneath my eaves. So it's kind of a follow-up thing now that I've read the instructions.

I'm totally disappointed with SunSetter. I have tried to make contact and I was not treated well. In fact, the fellow hung up on me when I described what the problem was, and I don't consider that to be professional. I had purchased an awning five years earlier and it had needed repair in-between times. Then, a storm flattened it onto the roof and broke through the bolts and did damage to the overhang. So, I let it go for about six months. Then, when I purchased a new awning for $7,000, I called back the company here in Redmond. They explained the situation that the guarantee for the first damaged awning can be considered. He looked at the dates, called me back, and said he would call back right away. I waited about four hours before he returned the call. Then, he said the guarantee is over. It's five and a half years old. I said, "No, If you add the date, subtract the new date, you get five years and 20 days."

I’m pleased with the SunSetter awning.

The SunSetter Awning works pretty well. They’re expensive, but everything’s expensive nowadays. They mounted it on top of the edge of my roof ‘cause they couldn’t put it on the side of my house. I like it because it gets the snow off. I don't have to pull it off the roof in the wintertime. It melts it as it becomes full.

The Sunsetter sales rep was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I wasn't here when they installed it and they put it in not quite where I had requested and according to the drawing. The installer didn't have the drawing with him. But they rectified it all. A new piece of siding had to be purchased. They did that at their cost. It was no additional cost to us. They were also very apologetic. I would certainly call them again.

I like the SunSetter but it isn't exactly cooler under there so they shouldn't be saying that in their advertisement. Other than that, it's fantastic and it's a great awning. I would recommend this to other people because it does keep you in shade.

I'm not very happy with the awning because the guy that installed it is very bad. He's not cooperating with me at all. Some days, I need to adjust it back. He suggested that I put the attachment on one side. I asked him to come to remove that part or put another hook on the other side for me and he won't do it. He sold me a 10 x 12 awning for $4,009. After that sale was made, I didn't see or hear from him. He never showed his face because I was taken on it and he knew it. I have the awning up and it operates great. In a high wind, it closes and opens up later. But $4,000 is an awful, expensive piece of a price for that awning. I wasn’t satisfied with the price I got.

I had an awning and it was quite small. It's only 10 x 12. When I moved into my condo, the Sunsetter was already on here and it seemed to be very reliable and good, so I stuck with them. I was also hoping that I could use the motor that I already had. I added another awning to my patio. I spend a lot of time out there, so I wanted to go further out and wider. I got an awning that's 12 x 14. It's a canvas one and it's beige with a thin stripe.

We like SunSetter's reputation and quality of items. We wanted the best. The installers did exactly what I asked them to. We did have one problem where it wasn't closing all the way, and someone came out. They fixed the problem right away and told John what we could do on our own if we wanted to try that before we called next time. We're good. The awning is perfect. It's what we wanted and it's very nice. We use it every day that it's not gonna rain. It keeps the sun out of our west windows when we're not out there. They kept saying on the line that the color we selected was in stock, so we'd order it. The next day, we get a thing back saying they're out of stock. That happened five times. I liked their product and the way they advertise it. They look good. But I'm not too happy at this point in time because I bought it in May and I haven't seen them. But SunSetter hadn’t reached out to me at all. They will only answer if I text them. But now my phone is all messed up, so I don't have a way of texting them. I don't have their number anymore.

Working with their team was great. I got a motorized awning that has stripes, lights and extra cover. But the installation hasn't been a great experience because I was told it was gonna be installed today and the installers never showed up. So, I called them and they said, "Oh, no, you have to call the day before to set up the appointment because it's so weather sensitive." That wasn't told to me the first time that I called. I took a special day off from work to have it installed. It's inconvenient now.

We called Gary from SunSetter and had him come out. He showed us what he had and how much it were. We purchased the awning and the installer was very good. He did it on a Saturday one of the hottest days of the year. The awning seems to be very high quality and we're very happy with it.

The three guys that came out and installed the awning were very nice. They had very good manners. They explained everything and cleaned everything up real good. I was real happy with all of that. The awning is installed but it's uneven. When it retracts, it slams, and then the arms pop back out. They took my wind sensor to put in to another customer's place and they were going to come back and put mine in. But I've been waiting over two weeks for the installer to come back to finish fixing it. I've never heard back from him.

So far, our SunSetter awning is good. The installation just needs some adjustment. It's a roof-mounted unit and a little section of it is sitting right on the roof where it should not be. Water gets backed up when it rains pretty hard. I did mention it to the installer before they left. He didn't think it would be an issue. So, I've got to call them to have them come out and make an adjustment. As far as the product goes, I don't have any complaints. If you're not going to have a complete deck with a screened-in roof, the SunSetter awning is a good option for what it is.

We've been talking about getting an awning for years and we decided to act on it this year. We got two estimates. One was SunSetter and they were cheaper than the other one. The installers seemed to do a good job. The awning is functioning fine. We've only had it a month or so, but so far, so good.

Then, three weeks later, I got a call that said, "Oh, we're coming today to change out the awning because it's not the right length and the arms." I live in Florida and when you have the SunSetter awning rolled up, you can feel the heat. When it's rolled all the way out, it's 13 feet out and you don't feel any heat on the glass at all. SunSetter gave me a very good price and the quality is good. The awning is easy to operate. You can even turn the lights on and they're neon lights, so they don't burn any power.

The sales rep answered all my questions. It was pretty straightforward and didn't seem pushy at all. It was fine. The installation was good. They had some problem where the original installer called me, scheduled an appointment, and then passed away. They were super quick to scramble to get somebody to drive up from Tucson to install it for me. I told them that wasn't necessary. He passed away, I can be patient. But they did a really good job of covering that. The actual installation was early and they finished very quickly. Everything was clean and done properly. They did discover a tear in the awning when they installed it. They told me they would be contacting me in a few weeks to come out and replace the fabric, which they did.

The SunSetter awning is great. We like it. I got a Premier and it’s light gray with stripes of black and in between, you can see the white. It's a pretty color. The installation went well. The installers didn't take long and they showed us how to operate the awning.

The technician was great. He was very knowledgeable and efficient and polite. The awning is exactly what we wanted. It has a remote and it’s great for us. We really like it.

The sales agent knew everything about SunSetter. He said he's been doing this for quite a few years. I had no problems with him and everything went smoothly. We got the awning that was above the bottom one and two guys did the installation. They were efficient. They looked at the back of my house where I wanted it and set up everything. Both of them worked and they had it done in a little over an hour. The outlet was right there to plug it in. So, it worked good. I use the awning down in Florida when it's hot outside. It keeps the sun off me. If it's a light rain, it keeps the water off me also. I got it set up right next to my enclosed lanai. I would recommend SunSetter to anybody. They're very good. I got some neighbors that looked at the awning already and they liked the product and how it worked.

The installers were great. They swarmed all over the place. They knew exactly what they were doing. The whole thing was a very rewarding experience.

We selected the canvas cover for the awning and it was not in stock. We had already paid six weeks in the time that we signed the contract and paid for the awning. No one called us back and said that they didn't have the particular cover for the awning and that we either order something else or wait till the particular awning that we want comes in. The only reason we found out was we called SunSettter and asked what was going on. We were told four to six weeks, and we were at five weeks and we were anxious to get the awning put up.

They were very helpful. A guy came over and measured. He told us it would take four to six weeks. But within two and a half weeks, the awning was in. The installation took about two hours and it was done. We like the awning.

Everything was paid but I had to quit my job for two days waiting for the tech to deliver the awning. They delivered the SunSetter but it sat out on my driveway for weeks with me trying to find someone to hang it up. Finally, somebody who does our pool found someone who would put it up. But I was very disappointed that SunSetter didn't help me. My husband's very ill, and I'm doing things on my own. It's very hard to figure all this out without having help.

The rep messed up on his measurements for the core. So, he is coming back and changing it out today. I love the awning. We don't have to put it out all the way, just enough so we can sit out there and get out of the sun. Also, we got the remote retraction on it. The experience with SunSetter has been good.
