    Purchased dishwasher with installation about 2 years ago. The fellow delivered from the store just dropped it off just went away! Then it wasn't installed very well... but we lived with it.     No service, no solution and really no knowledge agents. I am 3 hours on the phone with different agents and everyone is telling me I am out of warranty, I am still without a solution to my problem and it is so hard to understand anyone who answer the phone, all of them showing the lack of ability to find the information necessary different systems and none showing the right information.

    We bought a warranty for our small refrigerator. It broke, and they couldn't find a repair person in our area. They offered to send us cash so we could repair it. We were excited. That is well worth the cost and a great response. Unfortunately, they never sent the check and they still haven't. We have called the escalation department EIGHT times over FIVE months. On the second call, the agent admitted the check was never sent. Basically, they lied to us and admitted it. They have repeatedly reassured us a check was in fact sent. Each time, saying they would email us tracking information that never shows up. This gives a whole new meaning to the "check is in the mail." I will never buy another warranty from this company and I don't think you should either. Unless you enjoy incessant hold times, bureaucratic nonsense and being blatantly lied to.

    They said they sent the gift card, check my server record logs. Never received it. Chatted to have it reset, said they would within 24 hours. Got a survey, contacted again, chatted with somebody who said they would resend and then sent me an email saying it had been fulfilled and completed. Chatted again given a 1-800 number that after I followed all the prompts was told my plan had been canceled. Not very satisfied. I have sent an email and filled out a survey requesting they contact me. I never received the card I never redeemed the card and as far as I'm concerned this item is still open.

    Filed a claim for a 1.5 year old washing machine that broke on 11/26/2022. It's now 1/12/2023 and I still have a broken washer. It's been escalated 4 times from a repair to a replace. Still no resolution. The local service provider explains that they will call when parts come in but I found out that one part is on backorder (as of 1/12/23). All I get is wait 2 days for the unreachable "higher department" to contact me.

    When I bought my RV, I was assured that the Assurant extended warranty would cover everything except tires and freeze damage. Over Thanksgiving weekend 2022, my RV's awning was out during light rain. The seam ripped that secured the awning to the motor. I took the RV in for repair and was told that Assurant denied the coverage due to it being cosmetic. The last time I checked the awning fabric was functional. I am spreading the word so others will not be ripped off by this company. When I was sold this extended warranty I was told it would even cover the paint/stickers on the RV if they faded. Misinformation is no good. It cost me over $100 for camping world to tell me Assurant was not going to cover the issue.

    Assurant is terrible. Terrible repair company selected by Assurant. Pay more and go elsewhere. Repair company didn't show up and said Assurant was to blame for setting up bad appointment dates. Missed a day of work. Bought a five-year protection policy and after 4 years my washing machine lid lock seized and wouldn't allow me to close the door and when I first attempted to close the door when the arm seized it cracked the lid. I was told that the repair would be made after parts came in. Four days later I recieved an email saying my claim was denied due to customer damage and technician's report. Will not take my money to Best Buy with Geek Squad protection. Neighor has it and no issues with repairs ever. Will pay the extra money for peace of mind.

    I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washer, codes popped up and quit working, I contacted Assurant to have it fixed or replaced like the salesperson told me they would do if something happens to it, it's been 2 months and neither one has happen. They had a 3rd party come and "fix" it and they never did show up after they "ordered the part for it". I have called Assurant multiple times and they said they won't replace it, they can have someone come fix it but the 3rd party they hired never show up. So I threw away my money I paid to Assurant for a service that I did not receive. But they have been emailing me to renew my contract for fast and knowledgeable technicians and if they can't fix it they will replace it, good luck with that.

    Terrible experience. Was sold on a 5 year plan by a GE rep. Call for service and they send a third party to service my refrigerator. Third party just turns unit on/off & says it’s fixed. Scratches floor while pulling refrigerator out. Service Advantage refuses to send certified GE Rep out. Total scam. Calling customer service is beyond awful - after waiting on hold for 30 mins, no one seems to understand the issue. Will never purchase protection plan from this company again!

    This company is your typical USA company after pandemic. Greed, money, and sending tax free writable paychecks to foreign banks. Refuses and will not communicate, respond, email or take consideration of the customer's time that paid in to have this company represent them on purchases. The foreign employees have no idea what your talking about and only take their onscreen steps to handle a phone call.

    For over a month I've been trying to have this issue handled with a condemned broken 2nd time freezer and food loss. I get all kind of different answers when I call in and no one knows nothing. Still waiting on food loss check which only covers a fraction. Or some sort of return call.. The "Lowe's" gift card for the freezer only cover pre-tax purchase and the cost for at time purchase when the freezer now went up in price 300 plus dollars. Typical USA company. Hope people take the time and read reviews before buying a plan. It's a headache.

    We have a simple problem with our Viking stove that is still not fixed after multiple service calls. Assurant Service Protection sends the same 3rd party repair company even after they tell us they cannot fix it. Assurant customer service will not listen and send out a proper repair company. Customer Service is offshore and doesn't understand that we are having the same problem and need a new repair company. Assurant Service Protection and GE APPLIANCE - SERVICE PROTECTION ADVANTAGE is the same company. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS SERVICE - We paid for years, and it is not worth it.

    I purchased an add on warranty for my Bean Bag Chair and I am really glad I did.     Ease of scheduling repair. The technician should have tested the repair but failed to and as a result, he has to come back to fix the loud, banging noise after the spin cycle is ran.     The 1/4 crown stapler quit functioning 1/2 through a project. Went to local harbor freight, very nice manager, but they did not have one in stock. Computer showed they had two but they could not find them. Told me to check on Tuesday. Their shipment comes in on Monday. I did for 8 weeks, no stapler. I was out of town in Hobbs, 75 miles away they had 5. No problem exchanging except I had to pay sales tax. I asked why and was told because I was in a different town and it counts as a sale so I had to pay sales tax. I paid sales tax on the original purchase. So I paid twice the sales tax because the Carlsbad store could not get a replacement after two months.

    I purchased a sewer camera (first time) when my RIDGID unit broke, while waiting for repair I purchased a weak inexpensive knockoff (kinda) online and opted for the $50 3yr warranty. !     I am in a nightmare trying to acquire repair assistance through an expensive 3-year extended warranty with Assurant for my LG Refrigerator/Bottom Freezer. On August 31, 2022 the deposit deductible was paid and what became 1st of now (12 days later) up to 5 FIVE tickets to acquire repair was opened. I am heading in to two weeks now with Refrigerator in my home! Every time I call or chat with Assurant to report that ticket was incorrectly closed, the claims people keep telling me they will open a new ticket and escalate to their regional service team. I have been told that same canned response now 4 times. I am now going into week two of having no one come to my home to repair my appliance!     I contacted GE about a washer repair and I was told I had registered with Assurant. The letter I received when I purchased the repair contract made me think I was dealing with GE. Assurant sent a repairman from Axis Appliance Repair who could not communicate in English. He messed with the dishwasher said something and left without it working. I called GE and a repairman showed up with GE on his shirt, a proper truck and tools. He had the dishwasher working before he left. I received a call for Axis about three weeks after the first call and they said they were coming with parts. I told them the machine was working and not to come. Today I received an email from Assurant saying Axis Appliance had billed for the repair. This is false. Axis did nothing to repair the machine. Dealing with Assurant is a mess.

    Extremely disappointed with the service provided by Assurant. I’ve had my GE washer/dryer combo unit for less than 4 years. Recently I scheduled a repair because my washer was making a loud noise while spinning. Assurant sent in a third party company “Total Appliances” and the tech guy came to look at my machine, he was here for less than 5 mins. Guy seemed annoyed after I kindly asked to remove his shoes and wear a mask (just had a baby). Not only that he was in and out and complained that the location where my unit is located is tight and that he needed another tech to come in with him and that he would order the parts needed for the repair.

    A few days passed by and then I get an email from Assurant saying my machine is “non-repairable” due to overloading! WHAT? ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I have been calling them to request to a second opinion and have a GE tech come and look at my machine but they refuse to help me. I don’t believe my machine is non repairable, and if it is I want to hear from the actual manufacturer, not a bogus lazy third part company.

    Also, the contact states that if the pair is considered “non-repairable” as they claim, I should be able to have it replaced or given the depreciated amount of what the product is not worth. DO BETTER ASSURANT, you guys are scamming people over charging with these expensive plans and then want to refuse to help customers. Have more sympathy for your customers, I should not have to be chasing you guys to fix my machine when I have a sick newborn baby at home who has been throwing up and I can’t even do his laundry. UNACCEPTABLE AND INHUMANE!!!

    I purchased a Samsung washer in 2017 from Lowe's. I had an error coded come up and called Assurant and they couldn't find my policy. I explained to them I received an email 6/2021 stating my policy was up for renewal and signed up for 3 more years, (way before policy expired) which will expire 8/2024, not one person can find my policy. I paid $366.75 and not one person can figure it out. The representatives said send an email with my policy and I did but he gave me an incorrect email address, researched and got the correct one. Called Lowe's, the lady had no clue what happened but it was closing time and she sent me back to the call center to schedule a repair.

    I will buy my products from Best Buy from now on, they honor their contracts and send people out to fix. Don’t waste your money on something that you can’t use. If it’s going to be more to fix than a new one, I will purchase a new washer and tinker with this one to see how to fix it myself and donate it to someone in need. Assurant customer service is the worst!

    I have had a malfunctioning refrigerator for almost a month. Each time I call service protection advantage I am told that (1) I cannot speak with a supervisor and (2) there is a 3 day business wait to address my inquiry. My incident # is not recognized by the main call in number. The vendor I was outsourced to has not been in contact in about 1.5 to 2 weeks and they are not always answering the phone when I call. I am a senior citizen with health issues, no working refrigerator that I trust to store my food. I have had to purchase the large majority of my meals. My service plan is suppose to fix or replace my refrigerator. If you have this contract note that it is an extended GE warranty plan. Everyone is sympathetic but my refrigerator issues have not been resolved. Please keep your sales slip handy and know your model and serial number.

    I purchased a $2,900 LG Refrigerator and purchased the extended warranty. Worst make of my life to purchase the extended warranty! One year in my ice maker quit working. Called to have it repaired and it went smoothly to have it fixed, as it was still under the manufacturer warranty. Here we are a year later and ice maker don’t work again! I call Assurant Extended Warranty and what a nightmare it has been. First time I called I had to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes on hold to talk to someone to schedule an appointment. The repairman they scheduled never showed up, this is after I took four hours off work because they give you a window timeframe.

    I called Assurant a second time to see why the repairman didn’t show up and waited on hold for 1 hour and 35 minutes. They rescheduled the appointment and when the day came another no show, another 4 hours of lost work! I called a third time and waited on hold for 1 hour 35 minutes and I asked to speak to a supervisor. They told me to hold so I waited another 20 minutes, so now we are at almost two hours on hold…yes two long hours and then get disconnected!

    I called a fourth time, and was on hold for 2 hours and 25 minutes! I told them I was going to contact the Attorney Generals Office, contact an attorney, and contact local TV News Channels. They rescheduled a third time and low and behold the repairman contacted me. The repairman said this was the first time he had gotten notice. I have waited a total of three weeks and my refrigerator is still not fixed. I will have lost a total of 12 hours work time, a ton of hours on hold for this so called Extended Warranty through Assurant. My best advice! DO NOT BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY THROUGH Assurant as they are the worst company ever!!!

    I am beyond exasperated at my experience with this company! Every time I interact with someone there I am told a different story. I am still waiting to get a straight answer and as of my last contact I'm told it has yet to be reviewed and authorized (which could take up to 90 days), even though at the time my car went in to service, Jan. 17, 2022 I did call and get pre-authorization.     I was contacted finally by a claims department agent Miss Carolyn **. She was able to assisted me within 48 hours of my review. She contacted on 5/23/22 about 11am by cell phone. I told her all the things I have been dealing with the dishwasher. She very understanding and listening to all the issues I been dealing with since January.     I purchased an extended warranty through Assurant for my dishwasher. 12/21 In total I have had 6 appointments PLUS another for next month I have had to stay home for those times. The repair company has replaced all the parts that they can and said it needs replaced. I have contacted Assurant at least six times about starting the replacement process and they keep saying they needed the report from the service company. The last GE guy came 5/12/22, declared it irreparable, sent the report.

    Today I finally get someone to talk to and she says the CLAIMS DEPARTMENT cannot move forward with the next steps because pictures were not taken. And now I need to set up another appointment so they can finalize a agreement of replacement or cash to closed this claim. When ask to for a number to speak to claims department she says I can give you the information or connect you with them. What crazy hell I can't speak to the people who are making the final decision on my claim. Again I have been without a dishwasher for 6 months, paid my for the service protection for 2 years $302.75, made all the necessary payments in 4 months.

    I m highly disappointed, frustrate and upset in the process. I have purchase many warranties from them for the last 15 years on every appliance I have from stove, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher and this is how you treat me as a faithful customer. No one deserves to wait 6 months to fix a dishwasher, this process should have been completed in less than 2 visits. Whoever is reading this please Assurant BE WHO YOU SAY YOU GONNA BE.

    Useless extended warranty services! My refrigerator is out since 6 months, I called in October in 2021 and they came and changed the part in February 2022 and asked me to turn on the refrigerator after 24 hours. I turned it on the next day with the same problem. I called the warranty again and first they said the case is closed and open a new case with Nebraska. I opened it again and since then they don't even know what they are doing. It's been over 2 months and I called them and after waiting for over an hour for them to find my case, they said that we sent the request and someone will call you in 48 hours. The 2 weeks passed and nobody called. I called again and they repeated the same story.

    I called again and again and request them to let me talk to the supervisor, and they said that's not their policy. I finally got a hold of the supervisor after begging for an hour and he said to go to the service provider. I called the service provider and he said that I am driving on the highway and will call you later today but like always he never called. I tried to call him the next day but no answer. It's been almost 6 months and my refrigerator is not fixed and they are saying that they don't know how long will it take more. Do not pay these useless people for extended warranty.

    I have now been without a dishwasher for 2 weeks and still counting. It is next to impossible to get a live person on the voicemail and it is not even an option when you listen to the choices. When I told them 2 weeks ago the part to fix my dishwasher would take 2 months to come in they told me I had to wait 7 “business days” before they would escalate it to a manager. I asked to speak to a manager and they refused saying it was against their policy. When I asked them 2 weeks later on 4/5/2022 who would call me back they refused to tell me and said a manager would get back to me in “2 days.” Ivy is who I spoke with on 4/5/2022 and I think it is incredible that you are not even allowed to speak with a manager and that it will take 2 days for them to call and that Ivy refused to even let me know who will be calling me back. I would not recommend this company.

    Just under 2 years ago, I purchased a new GE dishwasher from Baillio's Appliances in Albuquerque, NM. Along with the new dishwasher, I purchased an extended warranty through Assurant. The plan number is ***** and is good until March 2026. On February 18, 2022 I noticed my dishes were not clean. I attributed this to the filter needing to be cleaned. I removed the lower rack from the dishwasher and noticed that the bottom propeller had broken off.

    I pulled my warranty documentation and scheduled an on-line appointment with Assurant via Transform A&E Factory Svc LLC. The appointment was scheduled for Monday, 2/28/22 between 12n and 5pm. I called Assurant (800) 905 9505 on Monday morning, 2/28/22, to confirm the appointment. They had no record of my appointment on file. Then proceeded to tell me I called the wrong number and that I needed to call 800 533 7639. I called that number which is a wrong number. The company has nothing to do with GE, Assurant or appliance repair.

    I called back to 9505. They gave me another number to call 855 309 8342, which like the previous number, is incorrect. Called back to 9505 again, the rep gave me 800 358 0600 which is for hazard claims, again wrong number. I called 800 626 2224 and finally got a person who identified himself as Jose. He said, my warranty is not valid and that I am out of luck. I asked for his supervisor. A man named Josh, claiming to be a supervisor, did get an appointment scheduled.

    I would like to know to whom and how to file a complaint against Assurant. I have been lied to, misled, mis-directed etc. I have spoken to GE Customer service and GE Consumer Relations several times. Every time I was told "I don't know who to talk with about this. You need to talk with Assurant." Assurant does not answer the phone. I have repeatedly called 800-626-2224, 800 437-3783 (Consumer relations), 800-905-9505 and 800-626-2001. All these numbers route through the same IVR, it is not possible to get a person on the phone. This is the absolute worst customer service experience of my life. Based on this experience, I will not recommend GE Appliance or their warranty service to anyone, ever.

    The e-mail to extend your appliance warranty should be considered a CON to steal your money and the online rating should be NEGATIVE Stars. The facts.

    1. Convection Bosch convection/microwave oven door drops open because one of the door springs broke (oven in use, but wanted to protect the oven from further damage) 2. Called Assurant. 3. When the service techs arrived, we pointed out that one of the springs in the door was broken. The technicians disassembled the oven door and took it with them.

    4. Incompetent technicians. Delivered a new door about 3 weeks later and jammed the door such that it could not be removed or closed. The technician did not know what was wrong and just left the jammed door in my kitchen. His remark, “You weren’t able to use it without the door anyway”. This of course was the door they had removed. Conversation with “Customer Service” (screaming voice) pointed out that they do not work for us. We are not the customers and Assurant would contact us.

    5. It was obvious to us that we had made a big mistake and that these technicians were going to damage the convection/microwave oven so we requested the original door back. 6. The original door was delivered, but now the oven door has a damaged hinge and the microwave face is dinged up where the wrong door was jerked off.

    7. Incredibly Horrible customer service. When we noted that the hinge was not originally broken, they would not acknowledge and again reminded us that we were not the customer. The technicians told us they would contact Assurant and tell them that our original door is broken and could not be installed (of course omitting that they had broken it.) The Service Tech reported to Assurant that they had tried three (3) different doors (outright lie). Awaiting response from Assurant. Note: Assurant gives the technicians 3 days to file a report every time they come to your house. Then Assurant gives themselves 3 days to get back to you. The result is that it takes 6 days for you to hear back on next steps. 8. Weeks later, my microwave oven is still not fixed. This is an appliance I used several times a day for my father’s meals. He had a stroke and relies on me as his sole caretaker. My work day has become nearly impossible.

    I was told when buying the warranty for $280 that if the service tech couldn't fix my dishwasher, that I could get a complete refund. That was told to me multiple time during the sales pitch process. It ends up the the service tech ends up leveling the dishwasher and he says that should fix the leak. There was nothing to repair on the machine. When I called to get a refund since the machine didn't need a repair in the 1st place, they told me that's not how the warranty works and I was given wrong information.

    I have had a warranty with Assurant on my washer and dryer since 2008, during which time I have faithfully made every payment on it. Over the years, I have had, perhaps, two or three service calls. In September 2021 my washer broke down. It took repeated attempts to contact Assurant. Finally, I was given a service provider, who even after several weeks never scheduled an appointment. I contacted Assurant again, who assigned me to a new service provider. After further delay, the technician came to the house. He said he needed to order parts. Weeks later he returned with the wrong part, but photographed the part he needed and sent it to his boss to try to order the right part. By this time, seven weeks had passed with no repair.

    Thereafter, on November 4, I received two emails from Assurant. The first said: "AXIS APPLIANCE REPAIR INC has completed repairs for incident number ** for your WASHER." The second read as follows: "We are sorry to inform you that based on our service provider’s inspection we have determined that the reported loss/damage to your product cannot be covered because of lack of modal and serial tag on the unit. This type of loss/damage is not covered, as listed in the terms and conditions of your service plan. To resume coverage for your product, you can send us proof that your product has been returned to a full working condition by an authorized service provider. For a list of authorized providers in your area please contact your product’s manufacturer. Thanks, Assurant Care Team."

    Stunned by this news, I contacted AXIS, the service provider. I was told that they would not complete the repair because Assurant would be replacing the machine, a complete falsehood evidenced by Assurant's email. Assurant has taken my money for 13 years, and now refuses to repair or replace the machine that they have warrantied and worked on in the past based on a bogus claim that the model and serial number (which have worn off over time) are not legible. Before you pay for a warranty with Assurant, beware. Their customer service is horrible and their honesty and integrity are questionable.

    My washer wasn't draining or spinning. It was also just starting by itself. Called Assurant and they had a tech here in 2 days. He ordered the pump and control board assy. They came sooner than expected but when I called Assurant they said they couldn't help. Had to call the service center doing the repairs as there was an open work order. Called the service center. They said they couldn't help as Assurant was my warranty provider. To make a very long story short Very bad customer service on Assurant's side.

We finally got a date scheduled for the repair and the service technician did not show up; AND, we received no phone call, text message, email, or other communication from Assurant Customer Care as to why no one showed up. We called the provided phone number and got transferred multiple times to different departments. All of the phone numbers we were provided led to a dead end. Three weeks after the service technician was to have been here, we received an email stating that there was no service provider within our network, AND that WE should find a service provider on our own. We were also told to pay for the cost of servicing our refrigerator, and then submit the receipt for reimbursement. Worst customer service ever!! Do NOT buy an extended warranty from this company.

    I purchased a warranty with this company for my LG Refrigerator. In July it stopped working and I lost hundreds of $ of food that I was not able to keep cool or frozen. That was on July 2, 2021. About 10 days later a local appliance company came to fix this on behalf of Assurant. They said that they had to order parts and I had to wait another 10+ days for them to come again. They came again but couldn't fix it and so they ordered more parts and came back again after about 2 weeks.

    In August the repair shop came back and tried to fix it again and it worked for a while. I replaced my food again and the refrigerator worked about for about 2 weeks. I called the local repair shop who had fixed it before and they refused to come and fix it again saying it was not repairable. I found out from them that they received parts directly from LG but Assurant had not paid them for the labor. I called Assurant and they assured me that they would find someone to come and fix it. I have repeatedly called them again and again. They made promises but never showed up. It's now been over 3 months ago and I had to replace the LG with a new GE refrigerator.

    Now, I'm trying to get replacement cost for my old refrigerator. I have a 5 year plan that will replace any appliance that can't be fixed within 30 days or 3 service calls. I have called Assurant every day for the last 6 days. I spoke to Robert, a supervisor, and he was very helpful but he said his hands were tied. Whoever he reports to isn't following up. The call center that Assurant uses is terrible, I can't understand them and they continue to delay this process. After having explained all of this to them over and over they are still trying to diagnose or get someone to repair my old LG. I have moved on. I will now have to get my attorneys involved in order to help Assurant do the right thing. Remind me to NEVER use Assurant again. If possible I will update this review IF they respond and make this right.

Timeline: October 14 - made appointment (first available) for non-working refrigerator for October 25. October 27 - appoint rescheduled for October 27 after haggling with staff on phone. October 27, appointment again canceled. October 27 - told the next available appointment was November 13 - one month from initial call to make appointment. October 28 - after spending several hours on phone with different representatives in customer service was told they actually don't have any workers and I would need to find my own repair person. So frustrating. So sorry I wasted $600 on the insurance program.

I hope that emphasis can be shifted by some manufacturers away from designing less expensive consumer items (sometimes called "programmed obsolescence", i.e., fail soon as warranty runs out, or even before and cannot be redeemed/replaced easily), to providing durable safe products at reasonable cost, that will last much longer, hence helping to improve environment, reduce climate change, make better use of limited power/water resources, etc. Even manufacturers of larger items, like autos, refrigerators, washers, air conditioners, home building products, etc. may have to would need to consider making things last longer.

    We purchased this GE Refrigerator 8/2017. Since 7/2019 we have had FOURTEEN service calls/repairs. They have replaced the freezer fan, the refrigerator fan, the thermistor, the main computer board, drain line, housing cover for refrigerator fan and freezer fan, ALL 2-3 times each. We have dealt with water leaking all over our floors, food freezing in the refrigerator and then thawing and having to be thrown out, extremely loud noises (which we took video of and showed the tech multiple times), and the water on the door not working after they left. GE says it's reparable because they can put a part in that will fix it for a few weeks. Then the cycle starts again. Because GE doesn't deem it as a defective product, Assurant will not rectify the situation.

    GE says Assurant should see all these repairs and buy out the contract or give cash value for the refrigerator. The GE Technician even feels there is something wrong and says he has NEVER seen this many issues before that keep happening over and over again. GE and Assurant do both agree that 14 service calls in 2 years is excessive. Yet no one will rectify this situation.

    I will NEVER buy another GE product, nor will I ever recommend Assurant for anything. All we have gotten is the run around from both pointing us back to the other. There have been numerous losses in food cost, lost wages from missing work for the service calls, and it's not something we look forward to having a tech in our house all the time during Covid issues. This is absolutely the worst customer service from both Companies (GE and Assurant). Please save yourself the hassle and do NOT go with either Companies for your needs.

    Bosch sells an extended warranty. Nowhere on the warranty form or page you fill out does it state they outsource to this worthless company. I've been attempting to get service for a broken dishwasher for 7 days now. The stereotypical outsourced support people in their unique form of English assured me someone would call. 1 to 3 days they stated. Well 6 days later and multiple calls to God knows who and still no response. Finally after my wife contacted them, they decided to email us the option to have local service come out and they would review and POSSIBLY pay the claim, only then did I find out I had purchased my Bosch Extended Warranty from a two bit company. I'm mad at Bosch for the deception and myself for not finding out they outsourced, since I'm familiar with scam companies like this. All I can say is, we're starting the process of suing Bosch to return our money for the extended warranty since it's worthless.

After visiting opening the website for my home warranty I will get a "certificate not trusted" security alert on my monitor. Is something wrong with your system this week? I try to "make an exception" for the site... but only have the option that says "Get me out of here!"

    I am in the Pacific Time Zone and the number I try to call for claims doesn't work by the time I finish working. I am 66 years old and if I don't have a smartphone right now or I would have already tried to file the claim that way ~~ and my internet speed is awful. I had to evacuate my home due to the CA wildfires and am living temporarily in Prineville, which you will know is basically the middle of nowhere if you're familiar with Oregon.     My husband and I have extended warranties on a number of our appliances with Assurant. For the second time, we have had difficulty receiving the help we need for repairs. First one had to do with our gas range. When we had problems with the oven door, it took weeks to get it fixed. The most recent one involves the malfunction of the digital panel on our GE Cafe Microwave Combination Convection Built-in Oven.

    My husband went to the website to schedule a repair. It took forever for the website to respond and, when he was finally able to secure a time, the site wouldn't allow him to confirm. He tried the chat feature and waited 30 minutes before giving up. He called GE and was told we had to go through Assurant. Next step was to call and he had difficulty getting a real person on the phone to help. Finally, we were able to schedule an appointment. Why does this have to be so exhausting? We have paid for these warranties and it's shameful they're so hard to implement.

    After paying over 2000 in insurance over the years and throwing out about 1000 dollars worth of food when my refrigerator broke, I was told the part wasn’t available and my appliance could not be repaired. The original cost was close to 3000 and Assurant sent me 760 dollars to cover it all. They said the refrigerator was 12 years old. Why did they keep insuring it then. They should have stopped insuring it when they could not get parts! And they should have replace it or else they should have returned the insurance I paid after the parts were discontinued.

    Hi, I am sharing my bad experience with Assurant till now. I have service plan on my GE microwave for model /Sno PVM9005SJ3SS/ RM260510A. My contract number is: **. I claimed for service and GE service guy name John ** was there at my house on 18th June, he inspected and found that my microwave is not repairable, and informed both GE and assurant about that, also he sent me invoice. After that I called Assurant multiple times but they have same answers that your service request is closed and they have no further information or claim, I am waiting for 3 weeks now without microwave and called multiple times without any result.

    They keep me waiting for an hour in each call and then disconnect it without final answer. I am without microwave and as its rangehood, I can not even cook as fire alarm goes on without that. If anyone can help that will be great, I have to come here on social media as I am completely frustrated with Assurant, my next step will be to file official complaint for assurant, as I have paid insurance premium of 150$ for $535 microwave, without any benefits which is fraud.

    Very hard to get ahold of. I was told by a representative that entire strut cost was covered with no deductible. Dealership called the next day and said the strut mount was covered but not strut and I have a $100 deductible. No cost turned out to be $260.00.

    I bought a policy several years ago with the purchase of a GE dishwasher. About 4 months ago the dishwasher lost power. I called for service and the tech reset by cutting power. Since the I have had to call, for service for the same issue THREE more times. The last one last week when the tech tweeted the cables underneath the machine and it got power. He hoped that it would be the last fix. Two or three days later, the unit “died” again. Resting it did not work. In exasperation, I emailed the CEO of Assurant on July 4th advising I did not want another tech for a fifth visit. I offered some options which were: guarantee that the machine would be fixed 100%; change the machine; or refund our full policy payment and we would buy another machine…not likely GE. I am awaiting a reply.

    Service appointment was made to fix a water leak (coming from the Solenoid). A&E was the serving company, During the first visit we were told they cannot turn the water off to replace the part, the technician said he would come back after the water had turned off. I called service and they closed the ticket. I made another appointment now the technician said they need to order the part, once the part arrived it was installed but the water line could not be connected because the new valve was the incorrect one.

    I made another service appointment and the technician called prior to arriving and said the valve they installed was the correct replacement and I should hire a plumber to make a water connection. That was unacceptable. I called Assurant again and they scheduled another service appointment, but this time a GE factory service, a technician called and He asked the nature of the problem, I gave him the part number from the original valve and he asked if he could call me back to see if they had the correct part in stock, I said yes. Within a half hour he called me back and said the part installed was in fact wrong, however the part needed was no longer available so they could not service the appliance.

    A&E was rude, unprofessional and several times insisted I did not have an open ticket. GE service was pleasant on the phone unfortunately they couldn’t do the repair. 3 more calls to Assurant and I was informed that if it could not be repaired they would make a settlement so we may replace the Refrigerator. It has been a month and a half with no clear resolution, no return calls. This company is HORRIBLE. STAY AWAY.

    Save your money and pay out of pocket for repairs. We bought multiple Assurant plans when we purchased all new kitchen appliances for a remodel. We placed service calls on our GE Café refrigerator and GE Café dishwasher in early April 2021. (Freezer temp fluctuated between 0 and 40; dishwasher would not clean dishes). Both appliances have been in service about 18 months. After more than a month, both pieces of equipment are still down. The wrong part was ordered for the dishwasher (a tech has been out twice also). He decided we needed a new motherboard after the second visit. A part was ordered and delivered. GE says the next available tech will be on on 5/24, more than 5 weeks after the original call. If you can wait four or five weeks for repairs, these warranties might be okay. We consider it money wasted. Would rather pay for needed repairs on a TIMELY basis.

    I have been with this company for over 6 years. Did not have any issue other than had to fight to get an actual GE repair service man. The last time I renewed in 2019 I was told they now charge $25 for each repair call. I recently noticed the wood floor under my dishwasher start to curl. Had a plumber look and he said I needed gaskets. At the same time my built in Microwave started making noise so I called service for both. My dishwasher needed a gaskets and the repairman saw that the control panel was not working. I asked if they covered the dish rack as they were starting to have a minor rust on tips problem.. He said he would check. My microwave needed a new fan. Both claims were denied. Told they did NOT cover gaskets and would close the claim until I first repaired the rust and gaskets. Then open a new claim for the panel. I told them one had nothing to do with the other just repair what was on my contract.

    After two hours on the phone (including wait time to get to a supervisor) I was told they would review. Just received an email telling me gasket not covered and closing claim. Microwave too old to repair so they determined 149.00 as pro rated cost. They took my money all these years and knew the age of my appliances. Last cost of my 2 year contract was Dishwasher 152.19 - Vent over stove - 121.41 - Refrigerator - 155.43 - Range - 153.81 Microwave- 263.88 with a $25.00 deductible. So disappointed. I can NOT recommend this company any longer.

    Service contractor has ordered the wrong part, twice. First time it was ordered it was damaged and the 2nd time it was ordered it was "the wrong part". Same part both times but was told the 2nd time it was wrong part. Ticket was closed and didn't hear a word back. 3rd service call the nice man said he would order the correct part.     READ READ READ the fine print for refrigerators. No legally binding contract until BOTH PARTIES HAVE ALL THE DETAILS < FINE PRINT AND ANY OTHER ATTACHMENT TO THE AGREEMENT. They processed a payment immediately. It has to be both PARTIES. The payment should have been posted once I got the contract, otherwise it is an oral agreement based on good faith which is not at all what the terms and conditions express.

    Purchased Predator 9000 watt generator less than a year and had to return for exchange 3 times now. Had to use the extended warranty for exchange with the latest return for exchange and had to purchase another extended warranty. I was told numerous times by the sales associates the extended warranty will cover any issues with the product. I had to haul the 250 lbs of generator back and forth 3 times within a year due to mechanical issues with the generator. The last time, generator was having starting issue. Had to crank numerous times before starting up and when it does, it backfired and started fire from inside of the carburetor. Fire grew large and could have been disastrous if fire burned into the fuel tank. Very thankful I had fire extinguisher nearby to put it out before it exploded.

    The only thing customer service representative at Harbor Freight Tools concerned about was what happened to the generator and calling the corporate office to see if they would approve the warranty exchange. No understanding or sympathy of how much trouble the customer has to deal with their ongoing defective product. What’s the point of selling the extended warranty as “it will cover any issues with the product” if you have to harass the customer and have to call corporate for approval???!

    In this case, damage was due to someone locking key inside safe. So I didn't mind the fact that I used my "1 year replacement warranty" up and I no longer can use this insurance policy. I have a flashlight that breaks too easily and I should not have to buy another policy every time it needs replacement-it was obviously is cheaply made-switch wears out immediately. That one is a tipoff. This made sense.

    Resolved- I would like to update my review. Windy, from Consumer Relations with Assurant contacted me promptly to help with this issue. She was very kind, helpful, and professional. She was able to work with me and help get this matter taking care of in a timely fashion. I was very pleased with her high level of customer service. I was with Assurant for a while and I would still recommend them, with a few suggestions. As I stated before, the customer service reps are helpful, kind, willing to listen and quick to help. As for A&E, I have yet to hear back from them. After this experience and other reviews I have read about A&E, I would not recommend them to anyone. Have a blessed day!

    I have a warranty with Service Protection Advantage through Assurant. I have had Assurant since 2014, I have been satisfied with them until recently. Why they use such a horrible company as A&E for service, is questionable. Multiple times I’ve have done everything to inform A&E of these issues and have been hung up on by their customer service and have not been emailed back. The warranty company chose A&E to service my washer/dryer. I was schedule with A&E on November 17, 2020.

    The Technician named Michael, arrived to my home after 4pm. He came into my home and looked at my washer/dryer combo in which both the washer and dryer are in need of repair. He said that the warranty may replace the washer due to the continuing issues I have had after it was attempted to be repaired by another company earlier in 2020. He went to his van and sat in my driveway to call Assurant. He called me from his van and said that the warranty company would like for him to go ahead and try to fix it. I just want a working washing machine and dryer that we’ve paid for. He said he would be ordering parts that will arrive soon, within a week or two, for him to come out and replace the parts.

    A total of 4 parts were delivered to my home. Why were they delivered to me the customer instead of the service company? The largest part (which is 3ft X 3ft) is the entire washer drum/motor unit was delivered in my yard, not on porch, out in weather November 27, 2020 by Sears. After a week I called because I have not heard when my service would be scheduled and was told that I was schedule for December 29, 2020. On 12/29/2020, I was contacted mid day by A&E that I was being rescheduled for repair on January 26, 2021. When January 26, 2021 arrived, I had not heard from technician and called A&E and was told he was scheduled to arrive in the afternoon before 5pm. The technician never showed up and never contacted me that entire day.

    A&E automated messages say I will be notified when the technician is on their way or delayed. At 5:10pm on 01/26/2021, I contacted A&E again to notify them the technician never showed up and was told that the technician had closed out the work order simply stating my washer/dryer combo needed to be replaced, but lacked detail as to why. I let the representative know that I have multiple parts here at my home that have been here since November 2020. I have the largest washer drum/motor part on my porch due to it size it will not fit in my home and I have a baby and can’t accommodate this large box inside my home for this long also stated that the technician never showed up so how can the order be completed. She said that I would need to contact Assurant.

    After contacting Assurant, and speaking with their customer service and consumer relations department, I was rescheduled with A&E to come out to my home on 2/09/2021. The representative with Assurant said she would be sending me a $50 Check to help with my laundry bill. It has not been cashed by the way. The technician Michael, same one from November 2020, called me that morning on 2/9/2021 to say he would be to my home later in the afternoon to repair the washer after he had me explain what “was wrong with it.” After waiting all day again for him to arrive, he never showed up nor was I contacted, again.

    So I called Assurant, and since their consumer relations department is involved in this situation, I spoke with a representative from that department and she contacted A&E and they told her that he would be arriving to my home, assuring her it will be repaired that day 02/09/2021. When she came back on line to inform me of her call with A&E I received 3 text messages. Two, at 5:26pm and 5:34pm saying “The technician will arrive between 8am and 5pm.” Then the third at 5:54pm stating I am rescheduled again for March 9, 2021. I called the representative with Assurant consumer relations again to let her know A&E misinformed her and that I was rescheduled.

    I have a high voltage, electrical part, as large as a dishwasher in a box on my porch, outside since November 2020. I have another box delivered to my home that says it can cause cancer and other reproductive harm, that I had to put away along with 2 other boxes of parts in my home since November 2020. Not only do we have a health and safety issue due to A&E’s technicians negligence, I have a baby with a washer and dryer that doesn’t work properly and multiple days, over a span of 5 months (including the next scheduled service on today March 9, 2021) of a technician that will not inform me or bother to show up to my home to complete a job, so I can have a properly working washer and dryer.

    I cannot continue to hold these parts and continue to go months with this same reoccurring issue. I would like to also state that I don’t feel comfortable having this technician in my home alone with myself and my baby due to his to his behavior, I have called A&E to request a new technician and they will not fulfill that request. My husband will have to use another PTO day that may or may not be wasted to be here with us when we are scheduled for service. Your company will not send out another repair company to resolve this continuing issue in a timely and efficient manner. I was told the reason for that being I have already received the parts, so A&E has to be the ones to repair it. I just want a properly working washer and dryer.

    I am concerned about the high voltage part that was delivered in my yard by Sears, going into my machine since it has been in the weather. When I expressed my concerns again with Assurant, I was told by a representative with Assurant that “Well, you received a $50 check”. She couldn’t help me further, that I had to wait till 3/9/2021. The warranty service’s claims department needs to speak with a technician so they can provide the claims department with a reasoning as to why the washer/dryer unit needs to be replaced, since that was his, the technicians suggestion, but how can that happen since he doesn’t bother to show up to complete the job. I am beyond disappointed and disgusted with this entire situation and it’s a shame to be treated this way.

    It is March 9, 2020, 5:30pm EST, technician has not shown up and I still have yet hear from the technician when I was scheduled from 8am-5pm, AGAIN. When I called A&E (3/09/2021 5:42pm), the representative said the technician closed out the work order again, did not provide a reason why. I was told by A&E to contact Assurant and schedule another repair, I explained this is the fourth time this has happened and the second time he closed the work order. I called Assurant after I hung up with A&E to report this issue, and the helpful representative stated I will need to speak with Consumer Relations again and call back in the morning.

    I would like to make sure that I state, two of the three people in consumer relations with Assurant were very helpful and kind, also the customer service department with Assurant has always been helpful and kind, willing to listen and quick to help. These unsafe parts need to be sent back and have a capable, competent, highly rated company come service my washer/dryer with safe parts installed. This whole experience has been traumatic and frustrating and why I am writing this review.

    My issue was fully resolved by the US team. The offshore team was very polite and very attentive to my needs, and in the past, did a good job finding a GE or A&E Technician for my GE appliances. But now, when things got complicated, and it started dragging on and on, only the US Team was able to help me. I was only able to reach the US team through the ConsumerAffairs website. Once I did, they called me and followed up till the very end, and I am very thankful to them for fully resolving my issue. Thank you.

They assigned me to a semi-existent unresponsive unqualified repair man, who does not reply to text or emails. I am waiting since February 15. On Feb 24, man showed up and claimed dishwasher is working. Did not open up the machine. Did not wait to see if the water is fully draining. Claims it's repaired. Now I am begging the company to assign me to a more qualified provider but they refuse. Hose the supervisor offshore said I have to wait 7 BUSINESS DAYS before he escalates my ticket.

    STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS LOWLY RATED COMPANY--YOU WILL NEVER GET A RESOLVE-I sit here 2 full months after my initial call for the failure of my dishwasher. 3 service calls, 2 different deliveries of the same parts. The serviceman took the door off twice--now scratched and ruined. The 3rd service call caused large amount of damage due to the dishwasher being taken out 3 separate times, and the water feed-which was left on the entire time including after tech left without repairing the machine for the 3rd time- the water feed crimped and caused large amount of water damage. Told on several calls that the company repairing the machine was not Assurant--can not get in contact directly with assurant--repairman does not communicate with assurant--run around--no operators to talk to.

    Told that parts which were in research were not being delivered--could not be found--that after 21 days the dishwasher would be replaced due to no replacement part in research being found--called on 21st day as directed--told to call on 24th day--called Friday 2/26/21--told after 20 minutes of nonsense excuses by an operator--to call back on Monday where "someone" would tell me what was going to happen--I have an insurance claim against the company--no dishwasher for more than 2 months--no one to talk to of substance--THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER--my wife has MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS--and I need a dishwasher for the extreme heated cleaning of a dishwasher--this company could care less--let us see if this letter causes any movement.

    It's a relief to have when the appliance break. The order number is hard to find. That's the number they need to service your appliance. I have to wait for no for the repair for 8 days. Not too bad in today's times.

    First of all, the product was a mid priced GE dishwasher. The pump failed within the first year. The repair person highly advised I get an extended warranty on that unit. I took his advice. In the next year, the pump broke two more times. This unit is used 2 or 3 times a week. Worst of all, you can call no one at Assurant and can only talk to a computer. They kept telling me they had no one in their service area to fix my unit. So why sell me a warranty? I had to tell them who to send out. The first time it took over a week for someone to even call. Bottom line is this, buy a highly rated very expensive unit and you won’t need a warranty. I will be waiting four to six weeks from my initial call to the repair of the unit. As I said, buy good quality and bypass the useless warranty.

    I am going on my 4th issue with the ice maker freezing up, which there is a class action law suit against Samsung for this issue. However, my issue now is with Assurant Warranty using A & E Factory Service and the length of time it takes to get an appt for them to look at the issue, then order parts, and several more weeks to return and install. I find this totally unacceptable.

    This is a company I have used for years. It wasn’t always so bad. Now, they are an absolute nightmare. For my Liebherr refrigerator, I paid $772.20 for a five year plan. Year 4 I called them due to a broken ice maker. Now, 2 months later, and 25 calls later, I am still getting excuses and runarounds. People have been here, tell me they need to order parts. And then never come back and when I call, nobody has any idea what is going on. I get no answers. Just promises that they are working on it and they will call me. But they don’t and then we start from square one. Do not use this company. They are a horror.

    I can't express enough how much this replacement was well worth it. Not a lot of people think it's worth it to add a protection. But I do because it can be done in store when the replacement item is available. & It can also add a new replacement to reach item without having to purchase another item at retail price. So to get another item for the price of the replacement saves on a lot of money when you need the item & don't have $229 every single time you burn it up. I'm glad Harbor Freight offers this plan.

    They cover warranties for GE products. Scheduling is a joke. Worst service providers are on their list. Absolutely no customer service from GE or this company. Both tell you they will call you back with no call backs for days. Trying to cancel an extended warranty that I should have never purchased now. Don't waste your money on these warranties and do not expect GE's warranty to be worth anything.

    Norfolk, VA - We purchased a five year appliance warranty coverage for our JennAir range from Assurant Service Protection Advantage. We filed a claim to get the control board for the oven to be fixed 11/09/2020. We waited over a month 12/29/2020 for the ordered parts and received no service status from both the service provider and Assurant. We tried to call Assurant and the automated system does not provide any options to contact a live agent (888) 841-4849. The only way to get to a live agent is through their coverage renew or purchasing department (800) 626-2224.

    We also tried to contact the service provider (A&E Factory Service LLC) and the call is routed to the Philippines for scripted response with no resolution. The message is always "the part is being re-ordered". This is a delay tactic to extend the service date range with no concrete resolution time. There is no customer service whatsoever to address concerns when claims are filed. There is no communication transparency concerning the status of customer services.

    I've had the Assurant Protection Advantage plan for our dishwasher since 2014 and have paid upwards of $600 in premiums during that time. We made our first claim in July 2020. Since then, we have had two different appliance repair companies work on the machine, with at least six service calls and three service calls during which no one showed and we received no call. The last service call was yesterday, after a major push on my part to get someone here, and yet another part is supposedly needed with no estimate of when the repair will be complete. After six months of no working dishwasher and repeated unsuccessful repair visits, Assurant declines to deem the appliance unfixable and will not refund any of my premiums.

    My only options are to either be without a dishwasher for some unknown amount of time past the current six months, or take the $600 loss and buy a new dishwasher, which we will likely have to do. Assurant should be absolutely ashamed of these business practices. I will reach out to the California Department of Insurance to see if there is any recourse. If this group can help, please let me know. My sincere thanks.

    The hinge on the door of our front-loading washer broke. The plastic hinge piece cracked from normal wear and tear, no one fell on it or broke it from misuse or negligence. We contacted Assurant to repair it, and they sent out a repair person. The repair person said the door appeared to be broken from normal wear and tear; yet, when they contacted Assurant for authorization, Assurant said they would not cover it. Soon, the washer will no longer be functional when the hinge completely breaks off, and I am very disappointed in Assurant. What the point in buying a warranty when they won't cover "problems with functional part failures" even though the warranty contract specifically states that what they cover?

    The service provide/tech (Scott from Alpha Omega Appliances 1.5 stars on Yelp, Orange County, CA) assigned to my claim was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Arrived on 10/6/2020 several hours late, complained about wearing a mask, spent the first ten minutes asking my tenants to "guess how much money he makes" and wasn't working on the repairs, when asked to wear a mask (which he kept in his pocket) he said he wasn't able to work with a mask on. He ordered the part(s) for repair, then contacted me (owner of property) again on 10/19/2020, calling me repeatedly and texting me. I called him back that morning, explained to schedule a repair beginning of Nov 2020 (as the tenants were very busy with work, new home purchase, and in the process of moving out).

    He explained he needs to finish the repair sooner and can't wait that long, so I contacted the tenants that same morning, on 10/19/2020, and they were very accommodating (despite all the initial issues with him). I called him back to schedule him to come back on 10/20/2020 (the next day) and HE HAD CANCELLED THE CLAIM AND LEFT THE JOB INCOMPLETE! When I called him to make an appointment with for 10/20/2020 (the next day), he had already canceled the claim. I was shocked! I told him I was very disappointed he did that, asked him why he did that (no answer), told him I was gonna complain, then he told me "Don't threaten me! Don't threaten me!" Don't threaten me!" then hung up on me!

    I contacted Assurant Service Protection Advantage on 10/19/2020 via chat (spoke with Tami online), was told I would have someone contact me regarding my escalated claim, didn't receive any return contact, so I contact again (called this time) on 10/26/2020 (spoke with Kim), was told by Kim due to their procedure, I couldn't get another company, I had to use the same company, the best she could offer would to request a different tech. That might be acceptable, except Alpha Omega Appliances seems to be owned/operated by one person (Scott), where his address is his home, and the reviews are so terrible (1.5 stars on Yelp) that there are many complaints about the other "techs" operating under this same company name.

    Due to the bad experience with this company, I didn't trust him back in my home/property and couldn't trust him not to sabotage something else while repairing my fridge, especially since he was so unprofessional and aggressive! I explained all this to the rep (Kim) on 10/26/2020, and her reply was that I had to use the same company. Having someone enter your own shouldn't be a dishonest, unprofessional experience! I asked for a previous company I had service my appliances last year, and they were unable to request that company.

    I explained, I'll take anyone else, just not Alpha Omega Appliances 1.5 stars on Yelp, Orange County, CA. Wouldn't Assurant Service Protection Advantage want to know which service providers that they hire are doing well, and which ones aren't so they can get rid of the bad apples in the bunch?! I am VERY UNHAPPY with my experience with Assurant Service Protection Advantage. I had renewed my extended warranty with them since for over 10 years, but if this isn't resolved appropriately, they will be losing my business.

    I requested service and had to wait a week for it to be scheduled. Then I had to wait another week for the part to come. The company that was scheduled to do the service never contacted me - I had to contact them - the reply was "they are coming out today" when asked what time, I was told between 3-6 pm. At 6:00 pm I called to see where they were. They had to get back with me. Then I receive a text at 6:31 that he was 22 minutes away. I replied that I need to reschedule. The owner told me I would be first on schedule for the following day at noon.

    It is now 3:07 and I once again have no one show up and had to call to check why. Owner said he would "have his tech drop his present call he was on and head right over". I declined - then he would have TWO unhappy people - me and the one he just dropped. Plus, I did not want the tech in my home after all this. I will NEVER use this company again. It was a total rip off. My premium, the $50 dedicate and HOURS of time waiting. I have used extended warranties for years and this is the first company that has been horrible.

    I purchased this extended warranty after all my appliances went out of the original warranty. I have had so many problems with my stackable washer and dryer combo. Tech kept coming out and putting a bandaid on it and he came out 12 times in 4 years. Finally the washer barrel broke off the track and we weren’t home at the time and all the water went through my ceiling because my washer is upstairs. So now we’re dealing with homeowner's insurance . The tech comes out and tells us they don’t make the parts for this GE washer machine and it needs to be replaced, duh! We’ve been saying this for the past 4 years. I opened this claim in July and now it’s October. I’ve been without a washer for 3 months.

    I called and called and they transferred me all over the place and had me on hold forever just to hang up on me. Every day I’m on my lunch break waiting a hour to be told my claim has been closed. How is it closed? Nothing was done! So I called again today to set up another claim but they can’t come to my house for another 2 weeks. The original claim the guy couldn’t come the day he was scheduled. This company is a joke and don’t waste your time or money. I will be cancelling this company once this is all over and done with. I spent $600 a year for this ex warranty and this is how they treat you. I could have bought a new appliance every year with the money I spent in the past 7 years.
