We have an extended warranty contract that covers the repair of this appliance. Instead of repairing, we were sent a gift card and told to spend it at an appliance website. All we want is the oven repaired and that is not happening. We were told that the depreciated value of the appliance is worth less than the repair.

This entire process is extremely frustrating and disappointing. The customer service reps don’t speak good English and are confusing in their speech and explanation. It takes a long time to get an initial appointment and to get a follow up appointment after parts arrive. Also since the customer is unaware of what parts are order we can’t tell the tech if all the parts have arrived. It took more than 1 1/2 months to complete my process. I was completely dissatisfied with this process and plan to cancel my contract as I have paid monthly fees without issue for years and when I need assistance I expect to have it promptly and without issue or double talk. Your process and treatment of me is/was UNSATISFACTORY AND DISRESPECTFUL.
Even though I was given a e-gift card, I anticipate that I will have issues using it as the email said use it at the online store but the representative said I could use it at Lowe’s. I shouldn’t be forced to shop at your store, since that is essentially paying yourself back, but should be able to be able to walk into any store so that I could touch and inspect the appliances.

My experience was extremely frustrating. My initial request for service was in early August 2024. Service scheduled for 8/15/24 was a no show, no call. I called on 8/15/24 and got an appointment for 8/28/24. The technician came and complained about everyone and everything. He was most unprofessional and bordered on being rude. He said the parts that had been ordered were wrong and the only thing he did was to pull the dishwasher out and leave it. He walked out the and did not return. I thought he was going out to his vehicle but when I checked he had left without telling me he was leaving.
An appointment was made for 9/11/24 but was cancelled. Having not heard from any representative, I stalled to schedule another appointment on 10/04/24. The agent told me that he could not help me and I should expect a phone call from higher management on Tuesday, 10/ 08/24. That didn’t happen. I received an email on 10/10/24 informing me that I had received an eDisbursement card for $402.90 which I must use online at Bodewell. Who orders from a place they’ve never heard of to choose an appliance on-line? I am more than frustrated. This experience was terrible. I am elderly and partially disabled which is why I always take advantage of service plans for everything. I regret that I renewed with Assurant for all appliances prior to all of this trouble.

Replace microwave but didn't get enough credit to replace the old one because you prorated my microwave and then was told I couldn't use the rest of my extended warranty enough though it was good for 2 more years on the new microwave. My plan #**. I would like to have an explanation as to why I can't use my remainder of the extended warranty on my new microwave since I already paid for it.

First technician did not know what to do, he came 2 time and still did not diagnosed the problem, but ordered multiple parts (unnecessary), which created a delay with repair for weeks. The second technician diagnosed the problem in 5 min and fixed it in 1 min. Finally, it was fixed

My refrigerator repair was great once our parts got here. Wish it could have taken less time to get the parts. The repair took about 2 hrs and fixed the problem for us without having to buy a new refrigerator. The repairman was very knowledgeable and very neat. He explained what he was doing and worked quickly to complete the job. The refrigerator is very quiet now and working well.

Assurant is in breach of the appliance warranty. No one takes responsibility, 4 appliance repairs on Whirlpool washer under 3 yrs old. Assurant is having yet another part replaced, when they should replace the washer. I am not pursuing the legality of their administration of the warranty.

Reported a problem with it making a noise and the response (from a no-name website) is, "We will have a person located in North Carolina call you within TWO days to SCHEDULE an appointment." Since Helene he may have been directly impacted not even be able to get here to Alabama. Of course if it takes two days to call to SCHEDULE an appointment; by November that may not be an issue? Sorry, but I've already had a bad day! God Bless!!

Repairman showed up 5 times with no parts to fix washer then the last time another repairman showed up & said he replaced parts & fixed it but it NEVER worked. He must not have tested it. I have been 2 months now without a washer. Your service is useless.

Washer originaly broke July 23, 2024. Not repaired until 56 days later and just a spring was replaced when 10 parts were ordered. There was much confusion about receiving the parts which were ordered and sent to my house. There was NO possible way to call and talk with anyone from the repair company about the parts or status. Rinse cycle without any clothing was run which ran fine.

It was awful. With two providers. Assurant AND NELI. There was no transparent update and none of the chat conversations were able to provide status. After more than 10 days with no explanation communication, the case was closed with a link to a gift card. Thankfully it was dryer. If it had been a refrigerator there would have been food lost as well. Overall... it was the worst conceivable experience.

Assurant made good on covering the remaining cost of my new dishwasher. However, they could have saved themselves money and me aggravation by fixing my dishwasher in the first place. Also, it is very hard to communicate with Assurant. Replying to your phone calls and emails is far and few in between.

By the looks of it, I am not alone. My dishwasher was 5 years old under ASSURANT’s extended warranty. The dishwasher died. ASSURANT did not approve the installation of all the parts after they were initially approved and delivered to my home. Even though the dishwasher could have probably been fixed, ASSURANT opted to pro-rate my dishwasher. An extended warranty through ASSURANT is worthless. Instead of having peace of mind, I had the stress of purchasing a new dishwasher and paying approximately $600 out-of-pocket. Furthermore, I have the stress of being without a dishwasher for 2-3 weeks on top of the 2-3 weeks it took for the parts and service. ASSURANT clearly made out in this case. They did not protect me at all!

My experience was horrible. After the two parts were approved and delivered. The technician needed approval to install the second part after the first part was installed. The second part was not approved. Why initially approve and deliver both parts?? Instead I was provided a prorated amount for my dishwasher, which only covered half of the purchase of a new one. I purchased the extended warranty for peace of mind. ASSURANT left me high and dry.

They claim the part is no longer available and they are willing to buy out my microwave for $237.00 and they are not going to reimburse me for the other 4 years remaining of the policy which I paid $563.63 for a 5 year policy. Also I have located the part on Amazon and is still available.

The claim didn't even pay 1/2 the cost of a new unit. Plus they give a gift card to only be used at a certain website where a comparable replacement unit is not listed. I can't buy any of the ones on their site because they are not similar to the ones I have.

I called in for a repair in my sink disposal. I was told that the unit could not be repaired and would need to be replaced. Rather than send someone to assess the problem I was sent a gift card. I had to locate a plumber on my own who diagnosed the problem and repaired the clogged unit. The unit was not broken, just clogged. The plumber would not accept the gift card as payment and now I am out the $250 for the plumber and cannot access the gift card funds to reimburse myself for the bill.

We had A&E service - Sears- come out and diagnose our oven and they ordered the parts. They did not show up for the first visit they said we were out of the way. The 2nd visit they diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts, the 3rd visit they had to reorder the parts because we received the wrong ones, the 4th visit they reordered the parts again because they were the wrong parts and attempted to put on the new glass top but did not know how so they stopped the repair and never did put all the screws back in, the 5th visit they never showed, and the 6th visit they called and cancelled the visit 2 hours before they were to arrive.
When asked why the lady told me she could not tell why. So we called Assurant and they were having the escalation department call us back within 48 hours but we never heard a word. They just want to send us a gift card to replace the oven but the amount offered is $1,000 less than my oven is worth. I do not want the gift card. I want my oven fixed. We called Assurant again twice and still have not heard from them. I prepaid for this service agreement and they will not get the service company out to my house.

Unit with long history of repair issues took forever (3 Years) to diagnose due to incompetent, & ill equipped tech's. Once finally correctly diagnosed and after I renewed my contract it was approved for replacement at a depreciated value. To make matters worse, I was only 4 months into a contract renewal before the unit was replaced and the remaining time is not refundable or transferable to a new unit. It's obvious that Assurant waited until my $450 renewal contract was paid for before approving the replacement when I should have been replaced during the previous contract period.

Filed a claim 3 weeks prior to my warranty expired- tech came out - ordered parts and then I checked and my portal and appointment was cancelled?? What ? I called back and was told I cancelled the appointment (I did not!) then tried to reschedule and was told my warranty expired- it’s now been a month. NO REFRIGERATOR! Finally convinced someone on a land FAR AWAY- that my claim is still pending- I have an appointment for a month away. When I applied for food spoilage - was told WARRANTY EXPIRED! - I said I know but a month ago I had a warranty - claim denied- VERY UNSATISFIED and I have good reason.

Came home and found freezer defrosted and kitchen floor flooded. I don't know if the refrigerator is working correctly or not. Called the call center and got a recording with the website address. Very quick easy claim process online. I'm having same day service call.

I do not recommend this warranty company. They guarantee a repair service date within 5 days but none of their contracted service providers honor it and so far have been unprofessional, rude, and do not actually fix the problems causing more headaches for the customer, time off of work to wait for them to come back, additional claims, loss and damage. Contract with "real" appliance repair companies, not the cheapest least experienced ones you can find.

Horrible Claims handling from the beginning. No communication for over 3 weeks! We had a death in the family after realizing we never heard back for our machine to be repaired from the company that Assurant set us with. We called called Assurant back and we were told claim would be escalated and they will call us back in 2-3 days! Nope NEVER HAPPENED. 2 weeks later I open email to find we got money on a card! With no explanation!! I called next day and was told “Oh your machine was unrepairable.” NO CALL ☎️. Then was told amt. is due to deprecation due to plan I have! But when we purchased our plan we did a lot of searching before we decided to go with Assurant and we were told by sales and our contract said our washer would be replaced of amt paid for washer. Either way the Handling from claims WAS COMPLETELY NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE! They don’t care and neither does Assurant.

Contacted Assurant of a faulty refrigerator, indoor water/ice did not work. From first contact, knowing that Assurant Service Protection Advantage was good we just didn’t know how good they are Incredible company. I have told my friends if they're offered Assurant take it, if you need it you’ll be happy you did. I have had others over the years. This company is worth it to me.

The repair went well once we received the parts from the manufacturer. Parts, when ordered, were not in stock. We had to wait 3 months for the repair to be done. Once the parts were received here, we made an appointment. The repair was completed within the week. I'd recommend this company.

Problem could have have been taken care of in one trip except the part was used on a previous job, took two weeks to get back to fix it. I would have thought he would have been able get the part from another driver and be back the next day.

Extremely long process to receive my service protection plan , so many hoops to jump through not a good experience at all. I couldn’t hear or understand the customer service and she was not very polite. It was very hard to locate all the information needed to submit my application and it was very difficult to find the website to activate my service plan.

Terrible service. Six weeks after our dishwasher broke, we're still waiting for a resolution. They outsource their repair crew. The first guy shows up and orders parts. The next guy comes and says the first guy ordered the wrong parts and orders the right parts. The third guy doesn't show up because I suddenly was supposed to confirm that the parts had been received, so my appointment was "tentative." Calling Assurant gets you nowhere. It seems like it's their business model to exasperate you until you say forget it. What other choice do you have? Beyond disappointing.

Worst customer service ever. 2 no shows, 1 late show, and washing machine is still not working. Lied to. Say basement was flooded and there was standing water, which has NEVER happened. Service person was incredibly rude and attempted to get me to pay him directly to return. Now they have cancelled my warranty due to the lies in the report and will not fully refund me, even though this is the only time I have attempted to use it. Run away fast from this company, and GE appliances.

Very frustrating, can't get live help. Tech came out to replace parts, still doesn't work, blame on my electrical. Had an electrician came and tested the outlet that was used for the range. Electrician said it fine, no issue, output enough power. Electrician tested the power board on the range, said the range is showing low power. Bad range, he said something is wrong with the range, since power from the outlet is 100% good.

Have subscribed to Assurant Service Protection Advantage plan for several year and can now see less value in their plans. They don’t repair appliances. They contract with other companies who do the repairs. My washer has been broke for a month waiting on Assurant to make repairs. They sent out a tech from A&E who is a vendor of Sears Homes Service. He determined the issue, need repairs, and ordered three parts. Two weeks later one part was mailed to our house. I called Assurant & Sears to let them know two of the three parts weren't mailed and was told they were canceled because they weren’t need. The next day the A&E tech arrives to fix the washer and can’t because he doesn’t have all the parts. We are now a month in, going to laundry mats to wash clothes and still getting the runaround from Assurant & Sears Home Service. Their customer service is nonexistent at both of these companies until it’s time to pay.

Using the Schedulerepair.com website was the fastest, simplest and most efficient way to make a claim I’ve ever experienced! When my two year old microwave suddenly stopped working I was frustrated, thinking I’d have to deal with making a claim, knowing the long involved process in the past I’ve had with another company. This one was by far the easiest claim to make!

Very pleased with experience. It went as I was told and they sent me text messages to keep me informed on the return information. Did online questionnaire and was very easy to navigate, it's good to keep receipts so you have the information they need. The product has been very reliable up to this point but it is mechanical and it can be expected. I have several other harbor freight tools that I have had for years and never had an issue with them so I don't feel this is a bad sprayer. I would put it up against any sprayer comparable to it, was very pleased and will continue to use this new sprayer like I did the other and I expect it to last longer, very good price for what you get.

What a joke. I bought a service protection plan for my GE over the stove microwave oven when I bought my brand-new condo. In fact, I bought the plan for my four other major GE appliances. When the clock display on the microwave malfunctioned, (you couldn't see the numbers for cook time) I put in for a service call on the website. They claimed they could find no repair service available in the entire state of Delaware that could come and do an in-home service. They unilaterally decided to send me a "gift card" which will not in any way cover the purchase, removal and reinstallation of an equivalent over the range microwave. And by the way my coverage was for five years, and the appliance is 15 months old, and Assurant now says their obligation to me is null and void. I wonder what will happen if my washer, dryer, refrigerator, or range should break. Will there be no repair service available for them as well? Highly disappointed and very angry.

Assurant makes it difficult to figure out how to file a claim. The Amazon site is also to blame. Could not file a claim online. It requires starting online, hunting for a way to start the process, moving to email with no way to ask questions. In the end, I was paid. Most people would have given up. I believe they count on this.

I followed instructions on the Service Protection Advantage contract. It was easy to file a repair claim. Everything is written out by and I went to the website ScheduleRepair.com. I put in my Plan number and service plan popped up with all the information necessary to file the claim.

I purchased the warranty last year for our GE range/oven. Apparently, they team with Sears Home Services in my area. Side note: Average phone wait time for trying to contact Sears was 50 minutes. What a waste of $332.33. I'm on appointment #4 scheduled for next week...we'll see if anyone shows. Actually, it has cost quite a bit more considering I've had to miss work to be home (from 8 am- 5 pm!) BUYER BEWARE: I have purchased numerous extended warranties. This is by far the worst. They blame Sears, Sears blames them...you get the picture.

The documentation that I was working off was very old as we have been with Assurant for 14 years. I did not see a contract number on any of the documents in my possession, just a plan number. This really stalled the process as I need to contact a representative to obtain the contract number. Once secured, the process of scheduling an appointment was very fast and easy.

If I could give a zero, I would. They use US Appliance Fix in our area to service appliances. I have had four appointments. Waited all day for three of them and no one ever showed or called. The 4th appointment they sent Cory out who had no idea what he was doing. He spent 4 hours here and dropped hardware down into the part and never found them, left off the water pump gasket, then proceeded to push the dripping wet insulation back under my cabinets. He bent the metal on the side of the appliance, damaged my floor, and cabinets. Assurant has done nothing to help me. Do not ever let them into your home. Now no one else will work on the appliance, so I am stuck. It has been over two months and I still don't have a working dishwasher. The warranty is useless. They do not help their providers accountable.

The Assurant Service Protection plan was handy when returning my defective product. The process was easy. I returned a generator that would not stay running. The protection warranty was legitimate and made the process so easy. I would definitely recommend Assurant Service Protection plan to anyone who is needing that extra protection on your items especially high dollar item.

A new dryer handle was ordered and it was easy to install. The Tech told me what to do when part comes. Great company and had for a long time with my appliances for many years. This company around for many years and deals with Home Depot and very reliable agent, always on time and calls before he arrives. I give a 10 plus for this company

Ice was forming in the freezer compartment. The service tech was very personable, was very knowledgeable and affected the repair in short order. He saw that the door seal was not in proper position so he used a heat gun to make it form properly. The only delay was that he had to wait for the seal to cool to ensure that the reforming would be permanent.

I'm a proponent of extended warranties. I've never had a problem. Many products survive beyond the warranty. This time I was told, claim reimbursement was via gift card only, not check. Just a reality check on the washer. Still in good standing. The repairman checked the washer and found no defects with the washer. Just the pipe connected to the apartment itself. After being checked by Midway and Howards Furniture's store here in Victorville. The account is still in good standing and hasn't been utilized that much. I wasn't sure if the account would still be able to be used but to my surprise it was, good on me but not so good for the pipe which was repaired by Beaman Brothers. They were chosen by my landlord. The repair fell on my landlord, not me or my washer or the Assurant plan that I purchased from Midway Appliance. Thanks to my Repairman for clarifying who needed to repair what to stop the leak which was unbeknownst to me how the pipe started leaking to begin with anyway.

Very happy with the protection plan and the work of the service technician. We were kept apprised of the status of part orders and when the technician would arrive. Assurant Appliance is terrible; my refrigerator ice maker stopped working and I decided to file a claim to have it repaired; despite providing me with a firm date to come to my house to diagnose the fridge, on appointment day, the tech called me because he decided not to come and asked questions about the symptoms I was experiencing with the fridge, and ordered an ice maker motor for it "which I found odd". We went three weeks without receiving any feedback, and when I contacted the technician, he said they didn't have the item, so I contacted Assurant, who purchased it from another vendor and had it sent to my house. When I received it, I contacted them again to inform them that I had the item on hand and requested that they send a technician to perform the repair.
It's been nearly two months and they still haven't been able to send a technician to my house to do the job, not to mention that they opened and closed the same claim four times and have yet to repair my fridge, so be cautious because, while you may save money by having your appliances insured through Assurant, be prepared for a long battle to get them to finish the job.

The website is easy to use. The service options are reasonable. I would prefer an option to select AM or PM. I cannot yet comment on the service itself only the scheduling aspect. Service is scheduled but pending for next week. I could have gotten an earlier appointment, but I am going out of town for a week.

Assurant renewed my renter's insurance policy without my consent as I canceled through Turbo Tenant as the lease was done. They decided to keep the one hundred dollars that they took out of my account. They are fraudulent and thieves with no regard or care for the consumer. Buyer Beware.

Updated 6/6/2024: I wrote a review and wanted to rate Assurant lowes warranty a zero and now after speaking finally with a human I'm sure of it. My washer will not spin and drain and she and I agree that's a problem but the repairman says it's not giving a code so it's nothing she can do. Just like I said they send repairmen that they work together with now I'm stuck with a defective washer and out of money for a warranty that won't cover it! Buyer Beware!
Original review: I would give a zero but it's not an option, I've filed countless claims on my maytag washer that's 13 months old, countless techs have worked on it and they still won't replace it. I assume the repair companies want to keep getting a service charge or they're working together.

I was not aware of a $50 (plus tax) payment. The technician checked to see the needed repair and provided when parts and service would occur, which it did. When the technician returned, he was pleasant, professional, knowledgeable, neat, and tidy and did the job. The only difficulty we had, we didn't know the power had been turned off so the stove didn't work. :) We turned it back on!!!

Sent me home to do return thru website and the website didn't have the items on it. Had to return to the store. Then I took the items to the store and the store manager exchanged the pumps for me. I was able to exchange the pond pumps for replacement pumps.

I am glad I purchased Assurant Protection Plan. My gas range's burner stopped functioning which required turning the gas off. The repair required three parts and about 30-60 minutes labor. Without the protection plan parts and labor would have been quite expensive; but with the plan I did not incur charges which was a big savings.

I had a phone that was supposed to been covered for 3 years. I had sent it to be fixed then I got it back only to discover that it's not covered anymore. Assurance insurance sucks big donkey dick so I will never trust that insurance service again. How come they are allowed to lie to the public like the way they did to me.

My warranty company called a repair company called Friends Tech to come out and repair my washing machine and the first guy that came out, he came out and he did nothing. He just pulled the piece off of the back of my machine and stated that he needed to order a part and then he left on the second visit which was the next week. Another technician came out and he ran a diagnostic on the machine and when I stated to him that the first guy did not do that. He said he didn't even know why they sent the first guy out when he tried to put the part on to repair the machine it was the wrong part so the first guy had ordered the wrong part so I was told that they would have to come back and that I would get a call.
By the end of the day I got I did not get a call and I had to call them the next day. When I spoke to someone they were rude and they did not make the situation any better so I called my warranty company and they sent another company out to repair my machine so the first company Friends Tech, they left my machine, the top of my machine loose and when I called them to let them know they inform me rudely that they were coming back because they had to repair the machine which told me that they ordered the wrong part again.

GE Appliances shipped a complete new door to replace the one that came with the stove when I purchased the stove. I had to return the door to GE. Afterwards, a support person said he needed to order just the coil that surrounds the glass on the oven door because the wrong part was sent. It took about 3 weeks to complete.

Thank god I was able to make my claim. I have tried 2 weeks to do it but they didn't give me an option until now. I hope and they come as fast as possible to repair my refrigerator but I would more like them to replace it with a new one because since sep 23, 2022 I purchased it it has always been not working since they have come to fix it 3 times and it only lasts one week and it breaks down again and all my food is wasted and I have to put it in the trash. I purchased a Fisher Paykel Double Dish Drawer dishwasher in 2019. I had that model and brand in my previous house for at least 10 years without one problem. Right off the bat I started getting error messages and fortunately, because the dishwasher was under manufacturer warranty the problem was resolved immediately. However, last week after cleaning the dishwasher which I did regularly every 3 to 4 weeks, all of a sudden, Rapid error messages started coming. I immediately consulted the troubleshooting area in my manual, last to no avail. Soon Thereafter, I contacted Lowe's Assurant as I had foolishly purchased extended Warranty coverage for all of the new appliances in My Home. That’s when the trauma and drama began. I began a chat To hopefully resolve the problem and get a service person out to remedy it. Unfortunately, I was told that I might see a repair person the following week.
I agreed, although it was a big problem for me because the repeated sound that had accompanied the error. Codes was grading on my nerves as well as my young grandson who lives with me who does not annoying at all. Over the course of six hours, I was on the phone with numerous customer (non)service Personnel who bestowed upon me corporate speak about how they understood what a troubling situation it was for me and still they provided no remedy. It was at about 5 PM that I contacted Lowe’s hoping that perhaps they might be able to step in and help.
Alas, after four days of not hearing from anyone, except to say that they would be right on it, Nada, zilch, nothing has happened. I am unsure as to my recourse at this moment, except that I may indeed purchase another brand of dishwasher and definitely not purchase an extended warranty because it was a major waste of my money. I will look for a brand that has a longer warranty and a record of customer satisfaction… If that is it all possible. One thing I learned from Assurant is that I am assured of nothing from that company.

Our LG refrigerator’s compressor after only three years quit working. We called Assurant to file a claim and they sent out a technician; thank you. The technician verified it was a bad compressor but had to wait for Assurant to verify the paperwork; minimum three to five days. According to Assurant they will be sending out the SAME technician once approved. Don’t waste your money with their extended warranty. It’ll be more cost-effective to save up a little each month and when an appliance fails then just replace it. Appliance extended warranty plans are a fraud.

I have contacted Assurant warranty service about my furniture damage by phone and emails which had taken me two-three months to get through everything because they didn't have me registered in system at all in the beginning. They denied my claim and I sent in a dispute in writing with more details and photographs and was denied again. Not once did anyone contact me by phone to ask any questions. Unacceptable customer service was projected by the company and has left me very upset.

I could not speak with a customer representative after calling 800-905-9505 which is apparently the Repair Service company. The automated voice mail also said that I didn't have a claim although the repair claim was submitted. I also wanted to state that waiting 8 days to repair a broken refrigerator is unacceptable. I live in North Carolina and having a Repair Service company in Dallas, Texas doesn't make sense.

I have been a customer with Harbor Freight for many years. I have purchased many tools, car ports, shallow well pump. With each I purchase the 2 yr warranty. If for any reason I need to get a replacement I have had no problem. It only takes a matter of about a few minutes for the replacement. DO NOT BUY EXTENDED WARRANTY / PROTECTION WITH THIS COMPANY!!! We purchased a couch through American freight within the year. One of the baseboards fell from the bottom of the couch. They fixed it without any question. I submitted another claim a few years later for the same issue, but I had to go through my extended warranty, which is Assurant and they said it’s normal wear and tear so the baseboard for the second time falling from the same couch is normal wear and tear.
No, that sounds like something is wrong with the base of the couch and they would not fix it for me after spending so much money on the Warranty. I will not be doing it again and I advise everyone not to buy it because they literally just say it’s normal wear and tear. I did file a claim for other things wrong with the couch that has been issues and I could understand that being wear and tear, but the baseboard falling for the second time is not normal wear and tear.

My 1 piece stack GE washer/dryer is only 3 years old... and under an extended warranty from your company... Strangely.. stopped spinning but the spin motor was running... after removing the few items I had in the washer tub, the machine did turn off... I was also able to schedule my service in two days which is great!... It is difficult to be without any of your appliances..

Absolutely horrible service. Stay away from this company for a warrant. Our washer broke 3 weeks ago. It stopped spinning. First service visit took a week and the technician reset the computer and said everything looks fine. The issue continued and we called for another technician who came within a few days and stated that the inverter was the issue and he "would try to order the parts" if he had time. We never heard back and have escalated to upper management who had no record of any visits at all. The hired service company (Sears) also had no record of any visits and we have been without a washer (using an expensive external laundry service for 3 weeks). We have escalated multiple times with no response. Needless to say, we will NOT be engaging with warranty service provider nor the the Sears service provider for any future appliances.

We have a General Electric unitized washer dryer combination. The washer stopped working correctly several days ago. The machine begins agitating and then after a few minutes it stops and sits there not advancing into the cycle. Then I had a difficult time figuring out how to get the water drained out of the machine and the clothing in it spun out.

Repair for my refrigerator requested 3/20/2024. Appt with service company Sear Home services was setup satisfactorily. Technician from Sears arrived as scheduled, assessed the issue and said the part would be ordered and installed the following week. Part arrived as promised. Technician did not show as expected. A new appt was scheduled with service company to install part. Technician showed up as scheduled. Instructed me that his order shows I did not have a warranty and that I would be responsible for the payment. I declined. That was April 5th.
Contact Sears, unable to schedule a new appt because current repair was still in progress.Contacted Assurant and was instructed to have Sears contact Assurant for coverage information. Tried to schedule another repair with Assurant but currently repair request is still open with information that parts were on order. Tried to contact the service company and at present have been on hold for almost 30 minutes because of high call volumes; today is April 9th. I tried talking to reps at both Assurant and Sears and both groups sent me to their automated systems to resolve the issue. I have needed part at my home. I just someone to come install it. Service from Assurant not what it has been in the past. In addition since Assurant selected the current company to service repair requests, they need take responsibility for their service as well. Very disappointed.

Microwave turntable kept on turning after the time stopped and the door was opened. This is the second microwave that failed, the first just after the first year. The first one failed to open the door. The service man had to use a crow bar to open the microwave. The replacement also had problems and the panel had to replaced soon after it was installed.

I paid for a protection plan through Lowe's for my Whirlpool refrigerator. The ice maker stopped working. In August of 2023. Expert Appliance Repair and Mechanical Inc technician never showed up. I called and another appointment was scheduled. The technician came out and told me that he fixed the problem. I checked it before he left, and it was NOT working. He apologized, looked at it again and said that he needed to order a part and would return. He never came back. When I called the company, I was told that the technician noted that the job was completed. I told them that it wasn't. They scheduled another appointment. The technician came out and the whole scenario played out again. Another appointment was scheduled. On the same day of the appointment, I got a text that my appointment had been rescheduled.
The technician never came for that rescheduled appointment. That has happened on the last 8 rescheduled appointments. Out of 11 rescheduled appointments, a technician has showed up 3 times and each time I was told that he needed to order a part, which has never happened. I’ve even gotten texts stating that the technician was on the way, and then within minutes, another text, rescheduling. Before the scheduled appointment for March 28th, I finally spoke with a representative from Assurant, who fervently promised me that this would not happen again and per my request, would assign my repair to a different company. It did happen again, with the same company on Wednesday, March 28th.
I got a text message on the same day of the appointment, that the technician was on the way, and then within minutes, another text, rescheduling for April 8th. Each time, within minutes of the time of arrival, I got texts, rescheduling the appointments. I have all the texts, verifying my complaint and I have included a copy of them in my review. They're all from this phone number: **. I'm terribly dissatisfied and I want my money back. By the way, Your system wouldn't allow me to submit my review without giving my experience at least 1 star. My actual rating would be triple negative that.

Hi, my washer water leveling didn't work. Water wouldn't shut off. The service man explained what the problem was and what. It would take to repair. The service person was awesome in taking care of the problem. I will be more very content in telling other about the service. It also was very easy and convenient to talk to a person in setting up my appointment and having it work with my schedule.

Top heating element on GE Profile oven burned out and was replaced by A&E (Sears appliance repair). Tech ordered part from GE and once received at our house returned and installed the part immediately. Oven works like new and tech made sure everything on the oven worked also. Very happy with our repair.

Tech was able to unlock control panel with his computer. The online manual was unclear regarding how to unlock the panel or how to enter that mode. In this circumstance it took an on site visit to resolve the problem. Attempts by service personnel over the phone to unlock the panel were not effective.

My son damaged his phone. I contacted Assurant. They sent me a replacement phone. It didn't work at all, complete junk. They demanded I return my son's damaged phone. I said I cannot until I get him a new phone to transfer his info, contacts, etc. They refused to return my $100. I had no choice but to go to another carrier and get him a new phone. Assurant charged me $370 on top of the $100! I told them I OWN my son's phone because it was paid off quite a while ago. They refused to help me. They insist I need to return my son's original phone. So basically them: $370+$100, me: two broken phones. How do they get away with this? And then they said I'm eligible for the warranty! I don't need a phone any longer. I am beyond upset. I am a single parent, I'm doing the best I can! I have no problem paying something that I truly owe, but this seems SO unfair.

I am here to reinforce many of the other negative reviews with this company. They cannot even manage to email me a copy of my service plan document. When I go on the portal and click to download my service plan document I get this message: "We couldn't find the service plan document." I have been waiting a month for repair or replacement of my GE range. Three technicians have come to my home, each one more rude than the other. The second one came and lectured me about what I "should" and "shouldn't" worry about, since apparently it was my fault that the wrong parts were ordered the first time (isn't that the technician's job to diagnose and order the correct parts?!).
All I have done is report my faulty range, provided them with the fault code that appears, and submitted a claim. Supposedly the parts have arrived broken twice (how convenient), which has led to three separate technicians coming to my home and no one even attempting to fix my range. They spent the entire time standing in my kitchen on their phone and shaking the box in my face with the broken part as if it's my fault.
When I call Assurant they can't provide me with any information (not even my service plan). When I ask to speak with a supervisor they insist no one is available, but someone magically becomes available after I ask again for the sixth time to speak with a supervisor. I asked at what point they would determine my range should be repaired (since they supposedly replace the appliance if they can't fix it), and she said that wouldn't happen for a "long time". I recommend you don't waste your time with this "extended warranty". It is a scam, you would be better off finding an adequate person that can repair it or just replacing your appliance. Now I haven't been able to cook for my family for a month.

Part required, was ordered and received quickly, and the appropriate repairs were finished in a very timely method. Technician was friendly and professional. The appliance ran into several issues just days after the end of the manufacturer's warranty. Lucky me, I had coverage. I Contacted Assurant and got an appointment, and it only took minutes. After the first service company didn't show up as agreed, Assurant fixed that quickly and found a reliable service with knowledge of the extremely rare model.

I have Assurant coverage on several appliances. I called 1/30 on a GE Monogram Dishwasher that was not heating water or drying. They use Sears Appliance Service, who will not talk to you thru an live person. Tech finally comes out 2/9 (10 days later) and of course does not have the heater part. Orders random part (not heater). Comes out 2/20. Installs random part and of course dishwasher still does not heat. Finally orders heater but now says next appointment available is 3/13! Tried to get Sears to send someone earlier....no way! If they come out 3/13, that will be over 6 WEEKS for a dishwasher repair. Two terrible companies makes for terrible service. Save your money. This is a rip off.

I am overjoyed with the service I get from Service Protection Advantage. I file a claim for repair and my appliance gets fixed, no hassle and no worries! I was extremely impressed with the efficiency and timing of this repair. The service technician arrived the next day and was extremely professional, helpful and pleasant, and made every effort to get the dryer repaired as soon as possible. Parts were required and the critical part arrived within a day and the technician was able to install it the next day. I could not have asked for a better experience in getting this repair done.

Making the service appointment was very easy. One call allowed me to schedule a date that worked best for me. The repair person was extremely friendly and professional. He explained to me what he was going to do and why. I would actually request his services if I am ever in need of another appliance repair.

Only time I've gone to a tool store and felt threatened by a manager (Wayne). He got upset with me using my extended no questions asked warranty that I had purchased extra and then told me my warranty is no longer good and then threatened me asking I had any problems with him or anything I needed to say before I leave the store.

The tech was on time, polite, knew exactly what to do, Ordered the part. Took about two (2) weeks, had it delivered. Came back, installed. Currently all is looking fine and still working. Would highly recommend this program to anyone with appliances. It is certainly worth the monthly charge and provides security for your products.

The plus with Assurant is that the coverage is reasonably priced and can be easily scheduled online on the website. BUT once the service tech visits and diagnoses the issue and always needs to ORDER a part, the entire process breaks down. Both times I have made calls about my GE range, which has the same problem each time. The parts are ordered, but the online tracking on the Assurant website doesn't offer any more details, and when the part is delayed, and the technician arrives (apparently he cannot tell if the part has been delivered, and he doesn't call to check with us) and discovers that he cannot make the repair....He simply goes away and then NOTHING happens.
The Chat line on the website cannot contact the technician..both times...and instead gives me the GE number. Each time, at this point, GE can locate the claim and schedule a new visit. All of this involves delay and the fact that the help Chat cannot SEE the tech info, and the technician doesn't deem it necessary to check back with the client to find out when the part was delivered seems just SO inefficient. Surely this issue can be solved by improving communication.

Very relieved that using the warranty was easy and reliable. The issue with the washer was repaired by knowledgeable technicians. No out of pocket cost at all. I would recommend using Assurant Service Protection Advantage for other products I have purchased recently and renew the existing warranty if offered in the future.

Our washer broke on January 6 and we called the same day for a repair as the washer is under warranty. A technician was scheduled for the 10th to look at our washer. We were told it needed a new panel and they would order it and get it installed on the 20th. We then got a confirmation email the next day changing the repair date to today the 27th. We called numerous times and were told sorry we can't help it as that was the earliest date now. Well today we were told between 8-5 and guess what? No repair yet again.
We got a call at 2 saying sorry they don't have the authorization and can't get it because it's Saturday. They already got the authorization when the parts were ordered (the parts were delivered to us a week ago) plus why didn't you get whatever additional authorization needed in the weeks prior? We are now rescheduled yet again for the 5th of Feb!!! We spent hours today talking to India trying to get answers and got nothing but the runaround. We were told the technician wasn't responding to their dispatches so nothing they could do. I'm so glad we bought the extended warranty!!! Absolutely ridiculous customer service. I'm guessing the 5th they won't show up again and we'll be stuck sitting around wasting our lives with no answers yet again. Fyi....The extended warranty was sold by Lowe's so not worth the paper it's written on!!

Based on my experience, I would not recommend purchasing a warranty from Assurant. I have been trying to get a ice maker/water leak repaired on my General Electric (GE) refrigerator since OCTOBER. Parts, I was told by the Sears tech they are using as their vendor, needed to make the repair, have not been shipped. The first service call actually made the issue worse. It's very difficult to speak to someone directly and many of the links to report online that a part has not been received, do not work. When I actually get someone, I'm told "We will get the parts shipped to you." It's 1/27/24 ... and still no parts. So, we keep a mop by the refrigerator and either buy ice or do without. It's like a full time job to follow-up - and I have a full-time job. So I have to pace my follow-up. It would be really great if this problem could be resolved soon. Again, based on my experience, I do not recommend purchasing a warranty from Assurant.

I needed to find out about Assurant extended warranty on my GE appliance. I have had a terrible time trying to submit a claim for reimbursement on my GE electric dryer. Big runaround. Can't reach anyone by phone. The options given me are not what I need help with. Try to call put on hold for hours. No one answers even if you have ben holding for over an hour.

This is by far the worst company to deal with. This is two months worth of waiting on a part to fix our broken washer. Purchase the washer from Lowe’s. The service repairman who came out got our address wrong, so the part was undeliverable. Therefore it was sent back to company.. You can RARELY get a real person to talk to. It’s all automated. So annoying. Constant runaround about waiting two days for an email to explain what they’re going to do to fix the problem. The company is outsourced to overseas. We have called this company at least seven times in the past two months to try to get the part sent again to no avail.. This company needs to be shut down. Terrible Customer Service.

Purchased a GE combo washer dryer in Aug of 2021. Recently water is being introduced in the drying cycle. Makes it hard to have dry clothes at the end of the cycle. Had purchased a policy with Assurant. I call Assurant to schedule repair. They ask what time I'd like an appointment, for example the next day. I choose and expect to work from home the next day. However, Assurant doesn't make the appointment, the service provider does, so the appointment means nothing. Don't stay home expecting someone to show up.
I'm in NY, arguable a large city and there is only ONE GE appliance service provider here? You do not have options. The one service provider is non responsive, unless you press the number on the automated system for "non-warranty repair." You call Assurant and get a customer rep in the Philippines. They don't know anything and are only "scripting" no matter what question you ask. Further, good luck finding a supervisor in the states.

I bought a 1/4 mini die grinder and bought an extended warranty. Unfortunately the product was discontinued (hopefully for its poor quality it failed after using it twice). I bought the warranty with it right before it was discontinued and it broke and harbor freight didn’t hold up their end and replace it with the chief one and I had to just settle on getting a horrible $7 towards my new tool.

I've never written a poor review in my life. Purchased a GE Profile Refrigerator roughly 16 months ago then purchased a warranty from Assurant 8 months ago, last May. Refrigerator broke right before this past Thanksgiving and called for service. Was scheduled about 2 weeks from the call. Tech arrived, diagnosed, ordered parts including a compressor, and later was told the date to repair was Dec 26 or 27. A different Tech arrived, installed the parts saying it was fixed and give it 24 hours to run to full efficiency. That never happened - no improvement, no cooling or freezing. Meanwhile all the links and emails they said would be sent to communicate progress were never sent or at least not to me.
Contacted again using the number I had called along the way, another Tech shows up today January 10 and said the appt was set up incorrectly with a charge for $99 and even if I was ok paying that, he could still not look at it because any repairs would first have to be approved. So, that Tech left. I called Assurant once again after he left and asked for some help. They had no record of anything after the very first visit in early December, saying their records showed the claim was closed. I stressed to the person I was talking to how I really need to have this fixed after all this time, now over 7 weeks. She rescheduled yet another visit same day (today - good, step in the right direction).
Once again, Tech showed up, same as the one who diagnosed the problem the first time early December which didn't work, more parts were ordered and the new date to have the repairs done using the new parts is now January 30. Assuming this time it works, and right now that is a large assumption based on history, it will have been over 2 months to get this refrigerator fixed. I find the communication and responsiveness, not to mention the expertise in fixing the problem to be very poor and who knows how much longer this is going to take - what a waste of money and time. Not fun living without a fridge for any amount of time, let alone this long.
I've been patient with the mistakes that have been made but to me, if poor service and quality of the service has taken place, I would think the company would work hard to make it right. Right now with another 3 weeks to wait for now the 5th visit from a Tech, I don't see any evidence of care for the customer from Assurant. I just wish they'd stop wasting all our time and replace the thing or reimburse me for it so I could go out and get another one....unlikely GE but that's a separate story. This is very disappointing.

Pro - The repair person was very good! Cons: You don't get a time for repair. You get an 8 hour day meaning someone must be home until the phone call an hour away. Assurant contracts services and in my case gave me the wrong information about who (GE) was the company. When I contacted GE to confirm the second visit (They were supposed to confirm by email the day before) GE had no information about my service call. GE gave me the Assurant phone number and then Assurant advised me that AG service was the provider and that AG and GE were really the same company. (They may be the same, but they don't share information). Assurant needs to give correct information to clients. A lot of run around that should be unnecessary.

I purchased a GE front loader washer model GFW850SPN2RS in June of 2022. Near the end of the one year warranty in June 2023 I received an offer to extend the warranty through a third party company Assurant. Since this was the first smart washer I’ve owned I decided to purchase. In November my washer decided to leak. Thankfully, small puddles and spinned out so I could continue to wash clothes. The first appt I waited the entire 8-5:00 window for them to show up only to get a call at 4:40 that they couldn’t make it that day. The next appt he came. Didn’t have parts with him so decided to order a door seal and pump that pumps out water after the cycle. Came the next time to install and it still leaked so he ordered a new door and hinges. Came the next time and he installed the door. I told him the water still ran in around door seal after cycle finishes so he ordered a part that regulates the water to fill during wash/rinse.
He came to install and ran a cycle to test for less than 5 mins. He left and said it was fixed. Next day I did laundry and it still leaked. I did another load and still leaked. Tried calling GE and they wouldn’t do anything. I either had to pay for a service call through them or stick with Assurant. I couldn’t even talk to a tech who would possibly be able to give input. It was out of warranty so I had to wait for Assurant. I couldn’t schedule another service call online. I could only email with a concern or chat. I chatted with someone and she said my repair didn’t qualify for replacement. She would put in a request for a service appt and I’d get an email. I got one right away that said someone will contact me in 2-3 days. What a run around!
I told them I’d prefer to get my money back to buy a different brand washer. She said I could do that but the refund would be prorated based on my purchase date and all the repairs I’ve had. Well, that would all exceed the cost of the washer so I have no choice but to play the waiting game with Assurant. Bottom line: DO NOT BUY A GE WASHER. This situation has not been resolved yet. If I am able, I will update as events unfold.

The website was easy to schedule a repair, however, the wait time is 2 weeks out. Since this was the second incident of the same product not working, I expected someone to come out sooner. Additionally, the window for service was all day between 8-5 which leaves us waiting all day.

We purchased a GE Dishwasher (CDT875P4NW2) and GE Range CES750P4MW2 from the GE Appliance Store. At the time of purchase, we included the extended warranty (four year parts and labor). The appliances were delivered on May 28th, 2022. Both the dishwasher and range were damaged. Replacements were delivered on June 15th, 2022. Our dishwasher stop working on December 19th, 2023. We called Assurant for repairs on December 19th and found that the serial numbers for both did not match. We were told that if the dishwasher was serviced, it would not be covered by the warranty since the serial numbers did not match. We called GE and Assurant multiple times to try to correct this issue with both telling us to contact the other.
Finally, a very nice person from Assurant told us to send an email (on December 22nd) to "contracthelp@assurant.com" explaining what had happened. On December 26th, we called to see if any action had been taken. The person who we spoke with was very nice and said the department that took care of these issues were off that day and to call back the next day (December 27th). Finally after six business days (excluding weekend and holiday), we were able to get in touch with someone in the billing department who contacted a supervisor to correct the issue. More communication needs to take place between GE and Assurant. We did not have any contact from Assurant (via email or mail) giving us any contract information regarding service plan numbers, coverage or how to apply for a claim. More communication is VERY much needed.

The technician was tremendous. Not only was he very professional, knowledgeable, and able to diagnose the problem... Once he figured out it had nothing to do with the actual appliance unit and was a result of poor electrical wiring coming into the unit. Instead of stopping his work and saying the owner needed to call in an electrician, he redid the wiring himself and saved a lot of headaches and time.

Our bottom wall oven no longer worked properly, and it needed to be repaired. The technician who came did an excellent job. The only complaint we had, was that he needed to obtain the parts and come back a second day, and he never showed up and finished the job (it was NOT his fault). And we had to reschedule it for a later date.

I returned the defective nailer in its original box with all associated material that came with it. I brought the original paper receipt of purchase and 2 yr protection plan that I purchased originally. It was a No questions asked return and replacement. It was 10 months when the nailer failed.

Never received an order number so I couldn't confirm the appointment. Many robo calls later finally got to computer chat, and I was told the date/time I had was correct. When I asked to have it resent, I was told the system could not comply. I was never able to talk to anyone. Not a user friendly process for scheduling a repair.

The ice maker was freezing the food and vegetables in the bins. Technicians were here several times to repair and thawed out and cleaned the refrigerator and each time the problem occurred within weeks. The last technician immediately ID'd the problem as a broken fan. He had a fan in his van and it has been working fine since. He provided that this was a long term problem with this model.

We have a GE Refrigerator about 1.5 years old. Ran out of manufacturer warranty so purchased a 5-year from this company. They sent out service to repair the unit and the company came out 4 times. Then the company contacted Assurant and told them the unit was not repairable. After this, we waited to hear from them. In the meantime, I've called every week for the past 5 weeks. It has been 6 weeks with no answer. Same message it is set to pay out and is under review. No contact from them. I feel they should have acted almost 6 weeks ago when the repair company called them. We want to get something that works and make the client wait a month or so is just not acceptable in my thoughts. I just called again Friday 12-9-23 and told me again 2 to 3 business days we should hear from them so I guess we will wait and see.

The dryer blower wheel broke. It was covered by my warranty. I was very pleased with Sears serviceman. He took time and explained everything to me. He made sure I understood everything before he left. He cleaned up and left everything the way it was when he arrived. I would recommend this repair service to a friend.

Cat or Catherine was early, nice happy and equipped. She had excellent communication skills along with excellent technical skills. Cat was though, so much so that she diagnosed and fix another issue due to vast knowledge of this product. I will ask for her again if I need service. This is the first time a request was made for this appliance. Assurant Warranty previously covered repair and ultimate replacement of my Maytag Dishwasher. The repair parts were no longer available so a check was sent and it was used towards a purchase of another Dishwasher. I am very pleased with the settlement of the claim.

My saw quit working when it was less than four months old. I was charged $38.99 for a new warranty when the saw was bought three months and ten days previous. I still had almost two years on the previous warranty. This is the second time I have had to pay for an extended warranty when my warranty Had was just beginning. Please explain why a warranty would be good for the full period a person pays for. I expect to be able to use the tool for the full period that I have agreed to.

I purchased an Amana dishwasher from Lowe's in October of 2021 with the three year protection plan. When I tried using it, it wasn’t circulating water. I filed a claim with my protection plan in July of 2022 to have someone come look at it. Lowe's sent a tech to assess the problem. The tech had no idea what the issue was and said he’d have them order me a new unit.
Over a year went by and I never heard a word from them. So I ended up having to file another claim. The tech who out told me it was a bad circulation pump and that they could replace it. Then after about half a week, Assurant sent me an email saying that the warranty didn’t cover the repair as it was to replace a missing part. I called and complained because the part was not missing. They said they’d send this new information to their back-end team and that I should expect my response in 2-3 days. I got my response.
When they responded, they told me they will not be not honoring the protection plan because the part was clogged with food. This statement contradicts their initial statement that the part was missing. How do they have on record that the part was missing and that it was clogged with food? As we have never been able to run the dishwasher, I know that this isn't even possible.
Finally, it's not possible to respond to any of their emails and talk to a decision maker. The people who answer the phones for customer service aren't really able to help you with your issue and can only relay information from the decision makers on the back end. These individuals do not make themselves available to the people whose money their business has taken.

Visit for repair in August. Tech diagnosed gasket needs replacement on door and switch in light in freezer is intermittent and needs replacement. He says he will order. Haven’t heard from Tech since his visit in August. Scheduled another appointment for October 17th, no one showed up. Had trouble understanding the woman on the phone with me finally losing my connection.

Fast service and courteous tech. Appliance fixed at my convenience. Tech was in uniform and a van marked as Mitch Romeros Appliance so felt safe about who I was letting into my house. Nowadays safety is something I worry about. And many calls telling me what and when they were coming to do their job. Very professional company was sent by Assurant.

I brought a grinder that had a defaulted switch in it. Turned it in and had it replaced. The second grinder worked but once again the switch was bad, but this time I was told that since I was using my 2 year warranty my warranty was no longer good. I paid for 2 years, and it should be honored for two years when it's a manufacturer default. The switch.

Updated on 10/11/2023: Follow up to my original post. Company responded like they were concerned and going to look into the problem! NOT… Customer service response was they spent $300 in parts to Dependable Appliance who never fixed my microwave. So after 3 months of having to buy a microwave they are not going to reimburse me for any portion because they spent over $300 to get my microwave fixed…which it never was! Never use them!
Original Review: I have contracts on all my appliances for many years and have spent thousands of dollars on them! My microwave went and I called for serving in August 2023. When the third party service person arrived he said it would be a week for the part and he would be back. That was the first day I had to take off work. I kept calling both Assurant and Dependable Appliance (3rd party) who are terrible!
Finally one month later, end of July, took another day off work for repair and when the service person put the part in, he blew the whole microwave! He then tells me either they will get the part or scrap it and pay me to buy a new microwave. Another month goes by and dependable appliance doesn’t call…nothing! I have to call them and Assurant which by the way neither party talks to one another to find out another month later, the part is in and I have to take another day off work.
Dependable Appliance never calls me day before to let me know when they are coming. I called 3x on the day of service until finally Assurant called them 2x and finally got through to tell me he would be at my home between 12 pm and 4 pm. I get a call at 2:30 from the repair man telling me I have to have the stove top microwave on the counter for him to repair it! He NEVER mentioned this before this call. I am a senior citizen, how am I suppose to lift a microwave and get it down in the counter. Both Dependable Appliance and Assurant would not help me! After 3 months of dealing with nasty, incompetent people who are happy to take your money but won’t help you…I went out and bought a microwave! Bottom line Don’t Buy their contracts…Save yourself from frustration aggravation!

Both the technicians, one who diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts and the one who actually fixed the problem with our dishwasher were very knowledgeable and got to work as soon as they got to the issue at hand. They both were timely in arriving and methodical and quick to get to the solution. We were very happy with the professionalism of both the technicians. We need people like these on service calls.

The part to my Monogram oven/microwave was broken. I was able to determine online what part it was that we needed and shared that information with the technician. When the technician set up an appointment, he initially did not come due to the fact he did not have the part available. It took several weeks for the part to arrive. When it did, we contacted the company, and the technician was very flexible and took care of us right away. Very good experience once the part was available.

Bauer products are sold separately- charger, drill and expensive battery, should be sold together, they swapped out drill and charger but not battery, drove home 32 miles to find out battery was no good and drove back to Harbor Freight to buy a battery, costing me down time on my job and lots of gas money.

The technician arrived on time and checked the problem as well as the overall function of the appliance. He diagnosed it and replaced one of the inside lights that was responsible for one of the faulty lights problem. He also replaced the motor which was not working properly. We are well satisfied with the service.

I had a total of 6 GE appliance repair people showing up to fix a dishwasher and due to a series of mistakes including misdiagnosed issue, misordered parts, one refused to clear a hose and insisted I get a plumber (I did, does that make 7?), topped off by the last (and final for me) experience where a technician showed up (again) without the proper part, and in a performative rant from the safety of his truck blamed me for the fact that the part wasn't ordered. The machine is still broken. This was the last straw with this service. This was a period of 2 months.
The customer service function is a Catch 22 loop - GE hands things to Assurant and Assurant hands things to GE. I also spent an exasperating amount of time talking to a Phillipines help desk which went nowhere. I consider this a terrible service and I handed the whole issue ultimately to AMEX. I will take my chances with a local repair person who will actually fix the machine and doesn't yell and hang up on customers. This was a miserable, abusive experience and I do not recommend this company at all.

I have used your company three times to repair my refrigerator. The problem is not with the repairmen but with the scheduling. If you receive a call requesting you call and schedule the repair you should not have to leave nine-ten messages. I called and each time got a recording stating the person I needed to speak with was not available please leave a message.

The warranty exchange went so much easier than what I had anticipated. There was no hesitation, no paperwork needing to be filled out and didn't have to answer a whole bunch of questions. There was a quick verification with my phone number, a quick product exchange and the purchase of a new warranty to cover the replaced product. It actually took me longer to shop for the original one than it did for me to exchange it under warranty.

The whole experience from beginning to end was quick and easy! Chatted with an agent that helped me troubleshoot my issues and get my claim started. He sent a link directly to my device to complete my claim and I was on my way. I even got disconnected on the chat due to it timing out while I gathered my model and serial number, and was able to connect right back to the same agent. AWESOME! Great experience!

Service scheduled & Confirmed for 9/1/23. I called at 4:45 pm and was told he would arrive by 5:15 pm. No one showed up or called by 6:30 pm so we went on with our dinner plans. We had been home all day! The weekend was a 3 day holiday weekend so all offices were closed till Tuesday. I called at 8 am on Tuesday and to see if service was scheduled for today. No such luck. The new service call could not be available for 3 more days. If I had not called to inquire my service would not have been scheduled at all. Now I have to stay home again for an entire day and HOPE someone shows up. Poor communication. Why did no one call to say the tech was delayed and my appt would be rescheduled? It’s unacceptable that I have to wait 3 more days.

Would not bother with extended warranty Unless you have half a day to kill, employees had no idea of the process involved to exchange product, one of the most painful and aggravating experiences but I’ve had The displeasure to experience in quite some time so in my opinion the aggravation is not worth the exuberant amount of money that you have to pay for the extended warranty.

Quick and hassle-free claim process. This took less than 5 minutes to complete. My reimbursement check is due to arrive in 7-10 business days. I would have preferred an EFT process with direct deposit into my bank and a review process that takes place after I receive my check. Timely reimbursement means a great deal to me.

There is no way to get an agent that doesn't hang up or understand English! There is no way to get someone to your home before a month has passed. This company used to be reputable, but now they are trash! I am disgusted by the service or should I say, lack of service. I paid $800.00 for a warranty that is worthless!!!!

The technician was very good, we do appreciate his service. It’s the time it took to have appointments scheduled that’s frustrating/unacceptable. We had to wait for a few days and numerous calls to schedule it while both fridge and freezer were out in the 100+ degree weather with food getting spoiled.

Filing a claim for a repair on my appliance was a lot easier than expected. Filing on the website was probably faster and easier than by phone where you don't have to press a lot of buttons to get to where you need to go to request a repair with the appliance. Very pleased with the process.

I purchased on June 2018 my gas range/oven and in 2019 I purchased an extended warranty that is expiring 2024 for it and other appliances via GE appliance company/Assurant contract resolution and they told me that there is only 1 option that I will have to pay a $50 for services charge per repair and now still under warranty my oven doesn't get hot enough so I called and was told that I have to 1st pay $50 before they give me an appointment for repair so I asked to speak to her supervisor that took very long to transfer me to and the supervisor told me that there is 3 extended warranty options and I have the option on my contract for $50 fee for each repair service and then there is a $100 per repair fee and then there is a no repair fee. But when I purchased my contract in 2019 I didn't get the option of the no fee at all.

We have a service agreement with Assurant for our kitchen appliances. We have paid over $1000 for a few years and finally had to call them for our dishwasher. A maintenance Tech showed up and was the most rude person I have met in my life and I'm not limiting that to customer facing people. My wife actually asked him to leave. In any case, he looked at the washer and established it needed a new motor. We ordered the part and he showed up again to replace the motor however he wanted me to sign a waiver to remove his responsibility if he did any damage to the plumbing. I asked him if he had caused damage in the past - he would not answer me. I asked him to leave.
The company farms out this work. In this case it was to A&E and eventually Sears Appliance. No one will take any responsibility and each of the entities want me to call another... I canceled my contract mid-term! Take my advice - use someone other than Assurant - they will talk to you when they want your money, other than that they will not help you!

Oven temperatures were way off and it was suspected that the problem was the thermostat. At one point the temperature was stalled at 365 when set for 400. The problem was confirmed by the technician who was sent by Assurant; a new part was ordered and installed solving the problem.

Not all of your clients are computer literate or able to complete a claim in this manner. Your phone system is of no use to reach a person for assistance. You should not sell protection plans if you are not willing to speak with those whom have purchased these contracts. It took from July 5th to July 18th to have my 6 month old freezer repaired.

I had 2-year extended warranty on the generator. When I returned it I had it for 11 months and used it for 2 on and off. When I brought it back to the store they told me I had to buy another warranty for the generator I was going to take in replacement of the other. At the store, I was also told that I had to buy from them a hand pump and a gas can to take out the gas that remained in the generator.

After 4 service calls - Assurant sent emails stating the job was completed. The repairmen NEVER SHOWED up, except for the initial diagnosis - no repair, so HOW did the repair get completed???? Electrolux eventually stated they DO NOT DO EXTENDED warranty work (after setting up 3 additional service calls) and passed the case on to A+ Appliance who stated they (A+) only does "overflow" work orders. A+ did not show up the first appointment and stated either Assurant OR Electrolux overwrote their appointment schedule and schedule the service on a day A+ was closed!
A+ did not know that a schedule was put into their scheduler until they returned the day after the service was scheduled. Three (3) days I cancelled personal appointments and waited at home for service techs that NEVER showed. I hope anyone reading this review, has better service. Also, be sure to document with company name, service tech, AND a person to call if the service rep does not show.

Ice machine was leaking water into the refrigerator, and I had to keep a Tupperware container to catch the drip and empty it every day so not to have a mess. Jack was able to repair in no time. Service was available in record time, same day I called.. I would recommend having extended service on your appliances.

I always think that it is wise to purchase insurance on my auto tools purchased because it is my livelihood and I don't like when I have to buy the same stuff over and over again. Especially any item that is heavily used on a daily basis. I purchased 2 of the 1.5 ton Jacks and one of them broke on me and I couldn't get it replaced due to warranty issues. So this is why it's very wise to insure all heavy equipment items.

There was no heat in dryer and at first technician was looked it and ordered the controls inside the dryer at 3 parts. We got it and technician came back and fix it and test work after he left sudden broken again and called your company and explained technician came and ordered 4 parts inside back of dryer and technician came, fix it and run great so far!

I purchased this GE refrigerator in September 2021. Within two months, I had to contact for repair. Two days shy of the one-year factory warranty expiring, the refrigerator stopped working. I then purchased an extended warranty, something I have never done before, because it seem to me that this refrigerator was going to be an ongoing problem. I called for repair, utilizing the extended warranty in May 2023. So all in all, I have had to have this refrigerator repaired three times in less than 18 months. I sincerely hope that this will be a permanent fix.

That being said, this is my 3rd repair for the same problem, so it's not getting fixed properly by the techs sent out by Assurant which is very frustrating. I put my remarks in the previous field. I shall repeat that here, and add: EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE would have been to make the exchange at my home, even if it would have taken three or four business days. And there would be no "restocking fee" for the customer to pay. A faulty machine and not insignificant inconvenience.
Original purchase date 14 JAN 2023. First use when weather permitted was 14 MAY 2023. After less than four hours the pump's head failed due to a sheared hex head machine screw. I telephoned the store to be assured that a replacement machine was available. I drove 36.4 miles [round trip] to make the exchange. I was required to pay a $45.00 "restocking fee" that the clerk was unable to explain, or chose not to explain beyond "it is our policy" after I had asked why the defective machine would be "re-stocked" in any way that would be MY responsibility to pay.
Purchasing the extended warranty was an additional $59.99, a $14.00 increase over the original purchase, five months prior. The original cost of $224.99 and $44.99 for warranty had just been increased by $110.69, including tax. Plus an additional drive, and the frustration of having the pressure washer fail before a single job of patio cleaning was finished. The replacement machine was courteously loaded into my vehicle for me by a pleasant employee. I have used the new machine successfully for around five hours.

Our repair was a replacement of the Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve. Our bottom freezer the Water Inlet was not working correctly and everything was covered in ice. Excellent customer service. This is the fourth time I had to write this. HF lied to me and cheated me on a generator purchase and return. I paid $209 for the warranty and then another $300 to make a in kind return. In the end the a generator on sale for $799 a few weeks ago cost me over $1100. Who would be happy with that deal. Make excuses if you want but I was lied to and cheated. No other way to look at it.

The CSR told me it would not be covered because I did not have a deductible. Then she told me it would not be covered because the repair was not on her list. I asked to speak to a manager. After a long hold she came back and said everyone was busy. I explained it is a simple fix, a hinge is broken, She gave me the number of a cellphone repair shop. She said they may call me in the next few days but it still may not be covered. It is a laptop, not a cell phone.

The Assurant maintenance plan is great and Total Appliance Service of SI, NY vendor and Andrei the Tech is the best. I used Sears maintenance for years before. They went from good to bad quickly (whoever took over). Sears vendors would not even return calls. Show up when they felt like or not at all. It was breath of fresh air and Very happy I made the switch to Assurant.

I checked my contract about how to schedule a repair. I was concerned because I like to call for service not on the computer. So I got the website and it was easy to do. I got my appointment scheduled and it took only a minute or two. So this only refers to ease of scheduling. It is a wait & see about the service itself.

Had to go out and buy one from Lowe's because I had a appraisal lady coming to appraise our house. What a waste of money your insurance is. Nobody cares. District manager don't care. He's a Joke.

The company that set up repair was great and easy to work with. Rick the technician was super good. Nice, punctual and worked with our schedule. He diagnosed issue and ordered replacement part than installed it. We can only recommend him and the company he works for.

They told me the policy had been cancelled and offered no explanation why. I purchased this policy specifically to protect against a defective part and they will now not cover the defective part. I have purchased and Allstate plan in the past and was able to get the coverage, Assurant will not provide coverage.

Washer had water leaking from bottom after a load of laundry completed the entire cycle. This is the first time we have had that to occur. There have been no problems up to this point in time with our washer.

Great service and completed without issue. First visit was assessment of issue and parts ordering needed for repair. Repairman was on time and very helpful. Parts were shipped to my home. Second visit, repairmen installed parts. Repair worked and fridge is working properly.

Your phone & online appointment service is not so great. I have spent many hours on hold, or when online they keep telling me my account number isn’t correct. It is very upsetting when My day is just as important as everyone at your job. The direction of the phone number is crazy. Simple is always the best. I hope you get this straightened out soon. I am experienced with computers, I feel sorry for someone who 1. Doestn’t have one to make an appointment or 2. Has to wait on hold on the phone while trying to get a service person.

The technician was polite and professional. He went above and beyond in repairing my dryer. I was very pleased and happy that the technician was able to repair my dryer on the same day as my appointment. It works perfectly now. Thank you.

I had taken the Assurant warranty through Nebraska Furniture Mart for my refrigerator. I had scheduled an appointment on Friday from 8 to 12. The technician never showed up. I called Assurant but they asked me to contact the service provider. This is the worst customer service I have received from any company.

The repair people in Texas were hard to talk with: no options for a real person; took 5x times to schedule an appointment; bad communications etc etc etc. Very bad cust serv from Texas, no real option for a real person, no place to call & discuss.
