The service guy was a great technician...but he was more on the phone than anything. He would talk on the phone and I thought he was talking to me then realized he wasn't then sometimes when he was talking to me I thought he was on the phone that was a bit annoying. Other than that service was great with the job he did, his Customer Service would do better w/out the phone but who knows maybe he was on a work call?

I initiated the claim online and received immediate notice that Select was processing the claim. During the next two days, Select keeps me up to date on the process of the claim. I had wished for speaker repair, because the outside temperature was having around 100 degrees. My animals and I were very uncomfortable during that time. Your technician, Chris **, of PanoSource LLC was timely and extremely capable of diagnosing and repairing the unit. He patiently explained the issues and options and made the agreed repair quickly. I highly recommend his service.

Signed up for Select Warranty before I read the BBB report. Then I called immediately to cancel and even left messages and talked to Richard to cancel and refund my visa card. They put through the charge and as of today three days later they have not withdrawn their charge. I would not recommend them to anyone. They talk really nice in the beginning to get your business, then to hell with you.

I feel hotter and hotter. I find out what's happened? It has a problem with the A/C cooling. It doesn't work. I called to request service, customer service responds quickly. And I'm waiting for the email to show me who will come to fix it. I hope the technician will come soon. I feel very very hot. Now it is August. This is the hottest month in Houston. Maybe I need to find a hotel tonight. Otherwise I don't know how to spend this hot day and night. I don't know when the technician can come.

The person was friendly and tried to help with everything I needed. She asked questions and worked to get to the problem. Then she promised to do everything she could to put in my request to get my item fixed. This person has already contacted someone to come and look at my problem and try to fix it. I am looking forward to having it fixed and being able to use it again soon. Thank you for your help.

I was unable to get in touch with the contractor but was given options to locate my own contractor. The associate was helpful and knowledgeable. I was able to get additional assistance with my problem. I would recommend this company to my friends. I would like to be able to get in touch more easily with the contractors though. We had another claim submitted but had the same problems. I am not sure if there are not enough contractors or if they are just naturally busy.

I've received a professional call from a sales representative. He explained all price details clearly and really trying to give me a good price. I originally asked for one year coverage. But he offers me a better policy stating that I can cancel it anytime with the prorate monthly charge. The monthly premium lower significantly. I'm very satisfied with my first SHW experience. Now I don't have to worry about being a landlord. For the past years, handyman and maintenance cost was so high and I was not smart to have this warranty. I will surely recommend to my friend.

My friends really need home warranties. I just got off the phone with my friend Charlotte telling her about Home Select and telling about your low cost and repair agreement. She should be getting in touch with someone in consumer service. People are very skeptical about home warranty service so many companies lie about other services just get them to choose their company.

So far so good. I have no complaints with this company! I have researched several home warranty companies before choosing Select Home Warranty. With Select Home Warranty, I have better coverage and less out-of-pocket expenses. I filed a Claim online last night after determining there was no way I could fix my stove. This was not an emergency. By the morning, I already had confirmation of the claim and instructions on the next step. Thanks Select!

I was given an awesome deal far above the other home warranty companies I had contacted. Salesperson was great and went over all the details of the questions I was asking. I had tremendous coverage what seemed like everything that I have. I bought the Platinum Care package which covers: Plumbing Stoppage, Plumbing System, my Dishwasher, my Washer and Dryer, Refrigerator, Heating and Air Conditioning, Electrical System, Ductwork, Ceiling Fans, Cooktop and the best of all my Water Well Pump and the Septic System!! Those are major things living in the country. After all this, I couldn't help but go with Select!!

Steven was very helpful in setting up the home warranty for the home I purchased today and in helping to activate it ASAP. I had a home inspection and do not anticipate any problems but with being a new home owner, wanted peace of mind. The service call fee was lower than other companies and the coverage was the same. I'm hoping that if I do have any problems, the service will be just as good!

So far so good on a faulty motor for my pool filter. Submitted my claim and a technician should be contacting me shortly. The process was smooth as I talked with Steven on the phone. I hope the rest of this process is a success. My pool is older but the motor is not as old as my pool so I was surprised the motor is having issues. I hope the service contractor is the same company that closes my in ground pool each year.

I called concerning my Air Conditioning being down. I was promptly waited on and an appointment was scheduled to come out. Unlike in the past with other home warranties who were slow and often didn't resolve my problem. The competition was much higher for the same services. I like the low service fee as well. Of course I would like to be cheaper, but who does not. I'm satisfied though. This was part of my reason to switch to Select Home Warranty in the first place. Keep up the good work and don't change unless you want outdo yourself. THANKS!!!!

I have been a customer of another home warranty company and after the first year the prices kept rising and the service began to decline. After doing some research I found Select Home Warranty and Jordan answered all of my questions and gave me an amazing price with more coverage than I had before including additional monthly coverage for free. They are based in my home state and have a quick turnaround on service requests. They appear to be hassle free and after researching 5 other companies we decided to go with Select. I am really happy with the contract and looking forward to the seamless service.

Just signed up yesterday. I am a new customer to Select Home Warranty service, when calling sales agents were very friendly and searched for the best plan and pricing they could offer to me. I was very satisfied with the pricing they were able to offer me, so I am hoping that if I have to use my home warranty plan for a repair this year that I will be just as pleased as I was with the first time pricing.

Worst company in the world. They do not have workers in the state of Michigan. They take your money knowing that they really can't help you. I had a stoppage. I called them. They said they will find a worker. ONE MONTH later they told me that I had to find a worker. They said that they will reimburse me. I found a worker and paid $334.00. I turned in my receipt. A week later they said they can't reimburse me for the full amount. They said they can only give me $150. I tried to cancel with this terrible company and they said they have to bill me in order for me to get my reimbursement and that they will charge me 75 for canceling even though they knew they didn't have workers in my area. This has been my worst experience.

The person I spoke with was kind, courteous, polite, professional. Took all the information needed and informed me of 24 hour period to hear from the technician to assist. I will say I believe that 24-48 hours is a little long. As my mother is 81 yrs old and her air condition went out on one of the hottest days so far. It really is not acceptable to be without air conditioning in this heat.

Was shopping around for home warranty for some time. Finally I find the Select Home Warranty’s information on site. Very happy with the customer service rep. Daniel **, he took his time explaining the program very patiently. Will recommend family and friends. He was very professional. The program covers a lot and service call is less than the other home warranty companies and they don’t have any age restrictions on appliances. Again will recommend friends and family.

My dryer was not heating, and the technician came out to fix it. Tech was very professional, showed me the parts replaced, etc. Overall experience was good. Would recommend SHW to anyone needing a home warranty. The customer service reps. are always very courteous and helpful. I have used them several times and each time the response time was right away. I can't say enough about them. They will service just about anything in your home.

I had a problem with my air conditioner. I was told for a week that they were unable to find a technician to do repairs. Meanwhile the whole family was sweltering in a super hot home. I had to find my own technician. I had to submit my invoice & diagnosis. They responded asking for photos & last 3 years of maintenance. I recently purchased the home so I did not have 3 years of maintenance records so they were only going to reimburse me $350 of the $1,807 bill. I wouldn't recommend any one to use this company. I later found out that the reason they couldn't find a tech was due to their history of not paying so many companies will not do business with them due to this. USE AMERICAN HOME WARRANTY, they may be more expensive but the service is worth it.

I had a good experience with Bob ** ext**. He explained to me the process of my claim for the replacement of my garbage disposal. He mentioned that according to Select Home Warranty's policy, it is not cost effective to send a technician out to replace my garbage disposal. He also explained that ceiling fans and built in microwaves are only reimbursed according to a set amount of allowance. Select Home Warranty will not send out a contractor to fix these items. It's not cost effective to do so.

The process is a little slow but customer representatives have tried to resolve my claims promptly. I wish that some of the upgrades and service fees were included in the warranty but it is reasonable. Some of my demographic information was incorrect, it was promptly addressed. I would use this warranty provider again. My realtor assisted me in getting this home warranty and I knew very little about it. I quickly received information via email describing the home warranty and what it covers. I am just beginning the process so I hope the finished product is well done.

Daniel was a very knowledgeable customer service representative. He explained in detail about the warranty and the entire process. He answered all my questions and got me an excellent deal. He explained the transfer process and the lifetime roof deal as well. He ensured that I understood the warranty details before I hung up. The plan he recommended was the best value and I'm glad I took advantage of it. I will definitely recommend him to family and friends.

Sam ** was my salesman. He was informative, thorough, gave all the facts, and prices. He was not high pressure and was ok with me wanting to wait and consider for 24 hours. Great interaction. Would recommend Sam to do business with. He also said I would receive an email within a few hours with the contract attached, which I did within an hour. The only thing I didn't like was getting a few other calls from other salesman while dealing with Sam, although the last one did transfer me to Sam.

I had a great service with Mr. Sol. He was very helpful. I believe he did a wonderful job explaining all of my concerns and my discounts. I am glad that all of my appliances will be covered including my underground pipes and also my roof. I switched to Select Home Warranty because they allow many different contractors to do the repairs, they gave me an extra 2 months and they are a better price than the company I was using. The call was fast and I was given thorough information immediately. My terms are fair and I am allowed up to 11K per year which is more than enough in case something happens to my major mechanicals or pool. Also there was not an extra fee for my pool.

This is the first time I have had to file a claim with Select. I truly appreciate the friendly customer service and the willingness to help me while my air is out. I am still working with them thru the process but so far they have been great to deal with. I would definitely give them a try. I think the monthly price is great and you can reach them 24/7. It is easier to submit a claim online of course.

Well, I called today looking for coverage to protect the things that need protecting in our home and so I save money in the future on repairs or replacement. They were very helpful in answering all my questions and I believe I will save money but most important is the peace of mind knowing I am protected in the event something breaks down. I would recommend this as an option to other companies in the same business. They have a great rating and have been around for some time.

Good Job and beneficial information. Provided Valuable information. We purchase as we are selling our home and a warranty like Select is a much better selling feature and benefit. Sol explained the transferring of warranty policy and the 14 month warranty period. Sol further explained the 30 day wait period and how if needed we could use it and transfer it to the new owners. He explained that we just need to call the (855) number and give the new home owners information to change the policy.

Salesman was very excited about selling us a home warranty and making sure we received the discount. He insisted on staying on the phone until I received the email confirmation of the contract. He also assured me of the ability to cancel if things changed with the selling of our house. I search several vendors and Select appear to offer a the best deal. A+++++ service!!! Good experience with Select Home Warranty!!!! My clothes dryer was giving us problems with heating up and not drying our clothes properly. I submitted a claim with Select Home Warranty under our policy and the process was orderly and timely. The technician responded within 24 hours. Then scheduled a time, came out and diagnosed the issue and we got approval for replacement reimbursement by the next day. Satisfied with the process and would recommend. After shopping around, I spoke with Zachary ** at Select Home Warranty to ask some questions and was pleased with how he was able to clearly explain all of my coverage options in super friendly manner (and get me a really good deal on top of it!). I honestly feel that I got the best deal I could have possibly gotten anywhere and feel secure with my home's coverage in the years going forward. My previous home warranty provider was a bit of a letdown in terms of service and helpfulness (and not terribly friendly), but based on my experience today, I expect good things from Select! I would definitely recommend them to anyone who asked.

After requesting more info online I received a call from Chase **. He was thorough with the explanation of different pricing options and what would benefit me the most. I have had different home warranty companies and the pricing couldn’t be matched. I am very satisfied with the positive experience I had. He also informed me that if I did need to use their services I could pick my own technician if I had one that I liked, something I was not able to do with my previous home warranty.

My courage had not started due to a technicality and my A/C went out on the middle of summer. The policy payment was sent back check which delayed the policy start date. The A/C was not blowing any air which made thing unbearably during the daytime. It was a four day difference, but they decided to provide services. I had to go upper management to resolve it but it got resolved. I did not have a long wait time on the phone either.

This is the second time we have had a claim the 1st time... We were told they would have someone call us and set up a direct billing... The vendor was confused when arrived and was not sure of the arrangments. We called and escalated and the previous claim remains untouched or no one has called us. Now for our 2nd claim we were told they are back up with their vendors and again figure it out on our own but we'll only guarantee $100. At this point we are completely unsatisfied with this home warranty company can we get refunded to chose another company?

Hazel was very courteous and polite when creating my claim. She spoke very clearly and was very efficient. Past experiences with coverage and contractors that Select uses have been difficult though. Contractors have misled us and even have lied to us, causing claims to be denied. Godfather Heating and Air stated the bearing seized causing the compressor to lock up (covered), but told Select that there was a short in the unit (Not covered). When our dishwasher stopped working Alliance Docs came out, disassembled the dishwasher to check the circuit board and left it that way. They did not answer or return my calls after.
25 Karat Pools did the same with the pool pump. When they did answer, I got yelled at and somehow turned it into my fault that my pool pump was left in pieces for a week. A-Plus Plumbing actually explained that water has to run downhill instead of fixing the plumbing issue. They did bandaid the problem many times. And Texas Pro Maintenance will only take cash, bad mouths Select at every opportunity, and will tell you that they can fix the issue (my refrigerator) without testing anything, and then tell Select that it is trash and can't be fixed. I realize that Select doesn't have control of the contractors' actions, but I assume that the contractors are vetted.

Mark was friendly and helpful. He made the necessary corrections to our contract as it was not updated correctly and it was a pleasure to work with him. This is a renewal for us for this home, but have purchased for a previous home in the past as well. It’s a great peace of mind knowing that we are covered if the need should a raise. We will definitely consider Select Home Warranty in the future as well recommend to our friends who are looking for coverage.

I submitted a claim online for a broken garbage disposal. They were quick to contact me about the issue, within less than 24 hours to proceed with filing the claim. They also walked me through some troubleshooting to try to restart the disposal to make sure it wasn’t something easily fixable. The value of my disposal did fall below the replaceable amount so I was reimbursed a portion to purchase and install a new one.

AC Unit is leaking. I need to file the claim to get the issue fixed. The operator informed me that the service team will call me between 24-48 hrs after analyzing my request. The operator understood my issue and has taken the notes of what I said. Hope this gets passed to the technician and don't need to repeat again. Expecting the call within 2 days to see how well they respond. Thanks.

The sale rep got all the discount for me and very informative, great job! Also I browsed through all the home warranty company, basically Select is giving me the best price and they have the flexibility of cancelling any time. Also I like their multi year bundle, which also boosts the value to a new level, I am a new customer and never worked with any home warranty company before, but overall, the sales are good, the service is good. I also got enrolled in a executive VIP program, which will be the first in the line and get the same day service.

When renewing my policy, Select Home Service offered great rates for extended multi-year coverage if policy premium is paid upfront offering 3, 5, 10 and 15 year policies. Policy is transferable if you move as coverage is national or can be transfered to new owner. I had a pleasant customer service experience. The agent was knowledgeable and well spoken and also worked with me to provide an affordable policy and affordable rates and lower copay. I have not submitted a service request during the year of my policy. Coverage is not offered during the first 30 days of the policy, which is the only time I've had an issue since moving into my home.

Roof leak. It been 3 days and I'm still waiting, for a phone call from technician to come out. This is the first email I receive and I should've to wait so long for service. I had another claim that I put in last month in which I had to wait for 7 days and still never received any type of service at all. Back and forth should not happened with these claims that us hardworking pay upfront prices for these services to get treated like this at all. I hope this one I will receive some type of service for this claim.

When I call the Select Home the people I talk to was so helpful and answer all my questions so I convince about the service they provide. Well I was happy with the value and the extra coverage so I decide the sign with Select Home Warranty so as new customer the time will see if my decision was the right choice. Richard answered every question I had and gave a detailed explanation of the warranty. Richard also found the perfect warranty for the best price and saved me a ton of money compared to all the other companies out there. I feel confident in this warranty and I am expecting great coverage. I have had other warranties and this gives me the same coverage for $300 less and I was able to add coverage to my pool and Richard was able to give me another discount to make the warranty cheaper.
My last warranty I had the deductible was $75, with this new warranty Richard was able to give me a $45 deductible and 4 months free. I am getting 28 months for a little over $900!!! This is absolutely amazing compared to all the other warranties available. An individual can place a claim on the phone or on the internet at any time of the day which takes the stress out of this process! No one wants to buy a house and then face issues or major financial setbacks due to a problem that could easily be covered by a great home warranty and a low deductible!

Called the member services team to get my updated home warranty. The service was quick, no wait time, and my questions were quickly answered. They have a tech coming to our house to fix two appliances that stopped working properly. The lead time to get them to the house is very quick and hope to have them fixed quickly. Having their home warranty gives us a peace of mind that everything is taking care of in the house. Great company to do business with and would highly recommend them to anyone.

I purchased a 3 year plan for ease of any issues with my home. I am slowly regretting it, as I've only had 2 issues and the 2nd one has taken forever. I have had a roof leak since April, tried to get service on this and have yet to get a hold of someone that can come and fix my roof leak. Customer service is trying, Select Home needs better vendors that are responsive and set up appointments. The wait time on the phone can be unacceptable - I've had to wait over 30 minutes and need to set an hour time blocked on my calendar to call Select Home so I can actually get a hold of someone and resolve things.

My clothes washer broke last night and of course we are getting ready to go out of town... The customer service rep was very helpful in getting our claim submitted and I wasn't on hold forever waiting for a "live person" to pick up- not several prompts either!! We switched to this warranty company because they were cheaper. They are horrible. You cannot understand the customer service reps. Turn around time is awful and they do not cover anything. We've had 3 claims. All of which have been denied. Took them 2 weeks, after our refrigerator went out, to deny the repair after they had already told the technician to order the part. They gave us $350 towards a new refrigerator. A comparable one cost $950! They denied repair on our AC unit about 2 mths ago. We were out $372 on that one. Now, the AC completely went out and it's 100 degrees in TX, 90 degrees in our home. It's been a week since it went out and we have been staying in a hotel. Technician sent in his diagnosis the same day he came out.
Finally today, they denied the repair!! Offered us $150 for our trouble. Took a week and we called multiple times a day trying to get help from customer service & yes we paid for 3 years of the Platinum warranty. This company is a scam. They take your premiums then pay nothing even if it's listed as covered in the contract. Check the reviews & horror stories of this company on Facebook. It's shocking! So tomorrow we will be paying $685 to have our AC fixed and will be canceling our services with this horrible company. Cheaper isn't always better.

From the moment I asked for a quote I had problems. I was called daily sometimes twice a day regarding my quote. I finally went ahead and purchased a policy and I am seriously regretting it. For one, you can never speak to a supervisor. For two, it is sometimes hard to understand the person on the other line. For three, the policy has too many hidden verbiage to pass cost onto customer. For you customers who have had success with this company, be thankful.

We recently had a bad experience with another home warranty provider and decided to try SHW. The very first incident involved a busted water line that shorted our our hot water heater and left us with no running water or septic. We called SHW and were told that nothing could be done for seven (7) days. Are you kidding??? Seven (7) days without water or septic is highly unsanitary, let alone unbearable!! I was told that we could 'fix it ourselves' and get reimbursed, which my husband did, but were denied a reimbursement because we didn't have a specialist diagnose the problem. A busted waterline is exactly that....You don't need a specialist to tell you that Niagara Falls has come to your basement.
At this point, we're done with home warranties, since we've ended up having to take care of all the financial responsibilities ourselves....Why bother to pay someone for service that they can't deliver. AC bare bone reimbursement. Fortunately the repair fell under "reasonable" in my world, but the whole purpose of having a home warranty is to offset risk of unforeseeable things happening, like an AC unit going out. Over $900.00 later it was repaired out of my pocket, but it took the company over a week to settle my claim. The result? A pittance totally $150.00 which they said I am capped at "As per section 9.1.2 of the policy agreement." I am paying them $28/mo for services so even after a year of payments at $336 they still profited off of me. This company is nothing shy of a premiums money grab on a homeowner trying to be smart and offset some risk.

Warranty company outright will not cover a home issue that is clearly detailed as covered in the active contract (6.3.4. Electrical. This Agreement covers the following electrical system components: (i) wiring; (ii) service panels; (iii) sub-panels (iv) switches; (iv) breakers; (v) outlets; (vi) junction boxes; (vii) ground fault interrupters;) . The explanation of the denial is completely irrelevant (Faulty Door Gasket) to the actual issue as stated by the service provider that the warranty company contracted to assist with the issue (lost neutral in the garage GFCI circuit causing all outlets on this circuit to currently be inoperable). After speaking with the warranty company for an hour I realized that we were just going around in circles and that they had no intention of honoring their maintenance contract.
I requested an escalation of my case with their CSR which as of right now has had zero response. It is my assumption that Select Home Warranty doesn't wish to honor their contract and for all intents and purposes stole the money paid for coverage since they have denied my claim after their contracted service provider detailed a legitimate issue that is clearly covered in the signed and paid for contract. For reference, I had another problem earlier in the year which I submitted to them and as it turned out the issue wasn't covered and it stated clearly in the contract that it wasn't. With that I accepted that fact and moved on to get the problem resolved on my own. So in short I'm not trying to get something that I'm not entitled to via detailed coverage of my warranty contract.

I have been with them for a year. I put in 3 claims for service in January. A technician came out, took my copay of $250 dollars and Select claims they NEVER received the diagnosis. So they sent another vendor out, he took the diagnosis but Select states once again they did not receive the diagnosis. It has been over 2 months and STILL no repairs. The 3rd claim warranted them to tell me they could not fix the problem. Of course that was a LOST of $125 co-pay. This is THE WORST service I have ever received in my home owning experience. BBB needs to investigate.

Contacted Select, there was about a 48 hour turnaround to be assigned a Technician. The Technician was not very communicative. The Tech assigned by Select gave me the runaround with scheduling. Plumbing issue was resolved after I used my own technician. The claim was paid in full so I am happy with Select. If you are assigned Denizas Plumbing, ask for another technician. I would recommend Select Warranty Company. I was emailed the my claim/reimbursement was approved in full. I am awaiting the arrival of the reimbursement check. Thanks.

After applying for enrollment to platinum plan online, customer service representative contacted us within 24 hours and provided details about different plans and options and enrolled us into a plan that fit us well. Send us the confirmation email with details about the plan and terms immediately afterward. He was knowledgeable and gave us a good deal. We look forward to being a member, and expect that service provided with claims will be as good as today's service was. Once confirmed, we plan to suggest Select Home Warranty to friends and relatives in our network as well.

I contacted Select Home Warranty for an AC outage at my home. I have never used a home warranty claim before. I received contact from servicing company almost instantly. Great job overall! The Seller have purchased a home warranty for me (I chose a company and a plan). We had an email conversation with Select Home Warranty company representative regarding plan premium and service call fees. As per email: "The Service Call fee is on promotion for $60 per service call (reduced from $75)". About 10 month later I had a service call and technician charged me $100 after the service was completed. I told technician that the service fee supposed to be $60 but he told me that Home Warranty company instructed him to collect $100 due to it is my service call fee. I have contacted Select Home Warranty company and they started an investigation. A day later I had a supervisor called me and agreed to adjust future service calls to $60 but refused to refund the difference for the first service call. Basically Select Home Warranty do not honor agreed terms.

I purchased Select Home Warranty in October 2018. Was charged immediately for that month even though I requested it start the following month. I have tried for 2 claims neither of which were actually investigated. 1st one outside of house (?). Second claim pool motor died, paid extra for pool to be covered. Said contractor would come, he emailed but didn't show up for any of the appointments made by email. Called and told SHW. They said get own contractor which I did. He called and eventually got through and told them problem. Within minutes claim denied. Why? Because motor is electrical. What else would a motor be. They promised me next month free. When charged was told that will be December's payment. You know start of another contract year. These people are crooks. Do not purchase. The advertising that they are there to take care of all your problems is absolutely not true. They fix nothing.

Our refrigerator broke down and they assigned our concern to a technician who diagnosed the problem but did not send the review to Select Home Warranty. When we checked back, they said that we got reassigned to another technician. Technician did not call back again. Asked to speak with supervisors but was told there was none available. 1.5 weeks and counting, the technicians they assigned do not call back. Why are the customers doing the leg work to get in contact with technicians. For the amount consumers pay and the hassle with our situation, someone should be calling technicians on our behalf and sending someone ASAP.
Totally dissatisfied! And to be given a timeline of 48 hours to get somebody assigned is ridiculous especially if at one point, we have experienced problems already. You need to be proactive and provide us technicians who are reliable. Even suggested to get our own technician but will not provide details on how reimbursement works. I cannot wait to switch home warranty.

Been a slow go since that first call, but when things break on the weekend it is understandable that it takes longer to get things approved. Again, happy with the service would be nice to be able to have claims approved over the weekend. I have been without air since Thursday night. Hopefully it will be fixed by tomorrow. It took a while to start the process for this claim, but once started everything went on well. When I filed the claim, the insurance company expected me to find a contractor on my own. But usually, contractors expect some payment upfront even without any guaranty of fixing anything. This upfront payment is more than my co-pay with somebody who is affiliated with the insurance company. I decided to insist on getting somebody affiliated with them to do the job. Only after I insisted on the insurance company finding the proper contractor to fix the oven, they started asking the right questions about the condition, the make of the oven, and requested photos. After that, it was obvious for everyone that it would be better to get a new oven. After that everything went fast. Waiting for the check at this point.

Select Home Warranty is a complete fraud. I've had 2 contracts with them and they have yet to honor one service request. All they do is repeatedly send out computer generated email that you will hear from them in 25-48 hours. I've been waiting since 7/30 for a response on a claim. Today is 8/11. Earlier this year I requested a service technician for my air conditioner. They assigned 7 different technicians. Not one technician contacted me or returned my calls. Select Home Warranty service technicians obviously know they won't get paid if they respond to a service request. I was eventually instructed to hire my own service technician, which I did. When I tried to file a claim to be reimbursed, I was told the fee was too high and they refused to honor my claim payment.
All Select Home Warranty does is collect fees from you. Their customer service is the most awful customer service I have ever experienced. If you feel like you might need to repair something at your home, don't choose Select Home Warranty. They are first in line to collect your fees, and they are first in line to either not even process your claim or deny it. BUYER BEWARE.

A/C broke. Opened online claim. Automated email read we will get back to you in 48 hours. It was too hot to wait. Called 800 number to get approval and get local HVAC company to fix the issue. After getting approval and paying HVAC company, my reimbursement claim was approved only for 50% of cost because I could not provide 3 years of maintenance records. I am still unhappy and considering taking them to small claims court.

I signed up with Select Home Warranty in March of 2019 and was at first very impressed with customer service. I had a service call on my furnace that went smoothly. HOWEVER, my 26 year old air conditioner went out at the beginning of July 2019. Being in my first year of home ownership, I knew I had older AC units, furnace, and other major appliances, so...logically this is the very reason I signed up with Select.
When I called, I was told it would be over a week before a service rep would be out to only DIAGNOSE the problem. I explained I have a newborn and 2 year old that are at home and needed someone sooner. They told me to find my own company! So...I did, I found a very reputable and highly rated AC company that came out same day and diagnosed a failed fan motor and compressor. In AC talk that meant a new $3k+ system. After receiving all the paperwork and photos needed for Select's authorization department, I was told my claim was NOT DENIED, but APPROVED for $150 reimbursement...TOTAL!!! They actually had the guts to say that. They quoted section 9.1.2 (check your contract!!) that stated 3 YEARS OF MAINTENANCE RECORDS REQUIRED. Now, what new home owner has that information????
It is now August 9, 2019 as I write this review. I never do this. I work in HR for a hotel company and train people on customer service. Never have I met a service rep and Claims Manager (in this case) that cared any little than these people. They continued to quote the contract, state I would not get a refund even after cancelling my plan, and showed ZERO regard for my family who are suffering through the heat. Frankly, it's a dangerous situation for my new born and I receive ZERO empathy. I am beyond disappointed, I am hurt by this company's lack of caring and willingness to do anything. I strongly urge you to run away....

I cannot begin to describe how disappointed I am with Select Home Warranty. I diligently called multiple times to receive authorization and was authorized for $1,500. If I never received this authorization, I would not have proceeded with the job, since it was far too much for me to pay at that time. I could have went with any other warranty company that would have given me no problems for the nature of this job. After completing my repair and submitting my invoice, I was told I am only being reimbursed $150. I don’t expect to be reimbursed the entire $1,500, but since it was SHW who erred and told me it would be covered, I am appalled that SHW refuses even to allot me the $500 that would be covered if this incident happened three weeks later. How are you not going to acknowledge your own mistakes?

Purchase a Select Home Warranty for supposed peace of mind. AC just broke down on the hottest day of the year. After a few days of completing all the necessary paperwork and tasks asked for they came back and said they would only pay $150.00! After the service fee that leaves us with SHW providing only $50.00 towards the replacement of our AC. We are stuck with the other two thousand! The advertisement says there are three easy steps and the third is: "We’ll repair or replace your covered item. You only pay a minimal service fee. Simple as that". Beware of the small print from SHW.

I had very bad experience with this company. 4 weeks ago I made a claim for some plumbing issues. I received a confirmation email that the plumber will call me to schedule a visit. 4 days later a plumber called and he said he terminated his contract with select and he will not be coming. I called select again, they had to open another claim and for 3 weeks no one showed up to fix the toilets and the sink. Finally I called a local plumber on my own and it costed me $705. I called Select to get reimbursed and they refused to hear me. They said I should called them first to get a diagnosis from my technician. I do not recommend this company to anyone. I have had a contract with them for 11 months now and first time I have had to use it was this week. Our hot water heater stopped making hot water. We had service tech out Monday and he instantly submitted to them the diagnosis and pictures of the unit and pics of serial number. They stated yesterday they never received any info. Flat out lie because I was copied on his email to them. So I resubmitted info and they tell me I have to wait 24 hrs for a decision. Then today I get ANOTHER email asking me for same exact pics. I send AGAIN only to be told clock restarts and give them 24 to 48 hrs to decide. Guess what...ANOTHER EMAIL comes asking me for SAME PICTURES!!! We have been without hot water for going on 5 days while they jerk us around.
Service Tech they sent told us Select Home Warranty is known to be one of the absolute worst in the service world and gave me names of 2 others. 99% of their 5 star ratings are the Sales Team selling contracts. The 99% of their 1 star ratings are all service use related. That should tell you right there they are scammers. But don't stop there, call your own trusted service techs and ASK THEM who they recommend and specifically ask them about Select Home Warranty. You will save yourself a lot of money and stress!! Avoid this company. Giving up on them and just paying for it all at this point. SHAME ON SELECT HOME WARRANTY!!!

3. Fine-prints EVERYWHERE. And you only see them after you purchase the policy. They will not want to cover anything and find all excuses not to pay for your coverage.
4. Sales reps promised me that I could cancel anything, but conveniently left out the fee I had to pay to cancel the plan.
5. If you have 5 plumbing issues you will need to pay 5 deductibles for the same person to come out for those 5 jobs. Most companies, it's 1 flat deductible for the same category.
6. Customer service is poor. They do not get back to you on-time. I have had to call them to get an answer multiple times within 1 month of service with them. And they have not covered any one of my claims. I ended up fixing them myself because their respond them and follow-up is next to nothing.
7. They do not vet their contractors. We have incompetent people coming to simply charge us a deductible and leave.
SAVE YOURSELF TIME, $, AND FRUSTRATION BY GOING WITH ANOTHER COMPANY. I'm switching to American Home Shield.

Be very wary of this company. They are very good at not telling you the whole truth about your contract, claims process, and exclusions. Additionally, the Technicians they send are not trustworthy, and all follow up phone calls are mishandled and offer a lot of doublespeak. Do not trust anything anyone tells you since they lack integrity. I am cancelling my warranty with them and going back to American Home Shield or Choice. We purchased an ANNUAL (12 month) home warranty policy on June 4, 2019 for a reasonable amount of $399.99. In turn, we received an additional month, which made the policy good for 13 months. On July 6, 2019 our HVAC-Unit broke-down with a faulty Interior Fan Motor. We filed a claim with SHW on July 8, 2019 and was told they would send out a repair-technician which was NOT done until June 11th. This technician diagnosed the problem as a BAD Internal-Fan Blower motor and needed to be ordered and replaced. That, we thought, would be handled and completed within the next few days. WRONG.
We called the technician back after nearly a week and was told by the technician that SHW was ordering the part. After calling SHW, they said the technician had NOT sent in the diagnostic-work and they were NOT responsible for ordering the part. Frustrated, we called the technician back and asked him to send the diagnostics to SHW. He said, he had sent the diagnostics to SHW at least twice and because of SHW "non-professionalism" he was no longer going to do business with SHW. Called SHW back, and told them what the technician said and asked them to get another company to followup with the repair work, since we had already PAID a $60 deductible to the technician.
After a few more days, they had another company's technician come out and diagnose the problem and got the paperwork back to SHW. After a couple of more days, SHW denied our claim. Stating, that "Replacement Parts" are NOT COVERED until 60-days from buying the policy has expired. In reading the "fine-print" of the contract we bought.it says that the initial 30-days after buying the policy NOTHING IS COVERED---they call this a "waiting period". With that said, in our case from June 4th until July 4th we are in our month waiting period. But since our HVAC broke down on July 6th, we thought we were fine. WRONG AGAIN.
The "fine-print" states that any "Replacement Parts" are NOT Covered until after the first 30-days of the policy going into effect. Which would have been August 4, 2019 Needless to say, we were pretty irate and decided that we needed to CANCEL the policy and get our $$$$ back. This was done on July 25 2019 after 3-weeks without our HVAC in 90+ degree heat. As of today, August 7th we have not received our rebate check. We're assuming we won't receive our entire $399.99 and our $60 deductible we paid to their initial technician. Good luck. And keep your fingers/toes crossed when purchasing and dealing with Select Home Warranty llc.

I received a call from an agent after I researched online. The agent was very informative and helpful. He asked questions to help clarify what I needed and what was available to me. He asked questions to see what specials and discounts were available to me. He took time to give me all the options and explain how each one worked. Called in to report my air conditioning unit wasn't turning on and customer service rep was very nice. There was no wait when I called in, my call was answered right away. The customer service rep told me she set my claim up and will send an email with details about a technician. Right away I got an email stating the same thing. Just waiting for the email containing contractor info which says could take up to 24-48 hours. I was not provided a claim number but it is in the follow up email I received. I hope and pray I receive the information as soon as possible as it is already 80 degrees in my house.

Steven ** helped me today and was very professional. He agreed to add the free roof coverage extension, reduced my co-pay to $45 and added my pool endorsement. After applying the discount my monthly billing was less than $42 which is what I had requested. I was very pleased with Steve. My wife's home in Indiana is with a different carrier and she pays a higher premium than I do with a higher co-pay. She intends to switch when her warranty expires.

My washer would not agitate. A claim was submitted to Select Warranty. Within 24 hours, my contact information was submitted by Select Warranty to a service contractor. The technician reached out to me via phone and text. It was a little to find a date that worked with my scheduled that week. However, the service continued to work with me until we were able to lock in a date and time. I was updated by Select Warranty and a follow up email was sent to me by Select Warranty. I had several questions for the rep who booked our contract about the service agreement. He said the agreement listed online would be a little different than the one we personally received, and so he was giving us information that was not consistent with the terms of service. Well, when we received the contract it was still inconsistent with what he told us. He then spent the remainder of the call trying to sell us multi-year packages, instead of trying to find the right information for our questions. Also, it was not very clear that we had to wait 30 days for the contract to begin. Not sure I will continue with the service, since day 1 was already misleading. Hopefully the 30 day money back guarantee holds true.

Select Home Warranty was very helpful when I called to submit a claim. My AC runs nonstop all day and doesn’t shut off til after dark. They said they will have a technician for me to contact within 48 hours. The guy I talked to was very thorough, and asked me all the questions he needed to know to help me with my AC unit. I live in a townhouse and got my Utility bill yesterday. It was $340 50. My neighbor beside me, hers was $120. Hope they can help.

Jonathan ** was a very professional agent who best fit me for my needs. I also think he went above and beyond because he waited for me to be ready to purchase and was "perfectly pushy". Meaning not too pushy, but just right to remind me that I need the warranty. After having the warranty for about six months, we called about an urgent Air Conditioning issue after 6pm. We were worried it would take a day or two to have service but the repairman called us back within half an hour. He was very helpful over the phone and gave us suggestions on what to do until his tech was able to come the next morning. We even video chatted so he could see what was going on with the air conditioning unit. We are very happy with the service!!!

Clothes washer was leaking water from several locations and after reporting the problem to Select who was very professional on the telephone, Select allowed me to find a repair company after several repair companies that Select had recommended did not respond to my calls for repair service. Whenever I had a problem with reaching a customer service representative, the representative that I would finally get would apologize for the delay. Select received the estimate of the repair and gave authorization to proceed with the repair.

We've had Select Home Warranty for several months now, but have not had reason to call. We've noticed an issue with our furnace and so today was my first call to them. Because we've not had to file a claim before now for work to be done, I had several questions about the process, the contractors, fees, and a few others. I spoke with a representative named Chase and he couldn't have been more polite. He was friendly, well-mannered and knowledgeable. He answered my questions and didn't rush me while I was trying to think of all I had to ask. In short, a great first experience with this company. I recently purchased a Home Owner Warranty for my Tenant who is purchasing her rental house. I had barely entered my phone number when my phone rang. We had a problem with our Kenmore refrigerator. It had stopped running altogether and it's only 6 years old. We placed a claim and the service company nearest us sent out a technician within 2 days. We called Sears but they couldn't come for almost a week. The service supervisor for Select Home Warranty offered us reasonable monetary compensation to replace our refrigerator if we continue with our contract which we have done. The claims team was very quick to deal with us and expedited our claim so we could regain A/C in August heat. While we didn't get the full reimbursement we had hoped, it was quick and easy to do go through the process. Hopefully in the future, any claim we have will be covered. BEWARE! WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. They will keep you waiting and never cover anything in your house. The agent convinced me to take PLATINUM PLAN over BRONZE PLAN since it covers lot more (and of course costs more!). Till date none of the issue I have called for have they covered. NOT EVEN ONE. Basically the most common issue are NOT covered! They keep you on phone for hours and keep you hanging even if there is an emergency and bathroom is flooding. Agent says they will connect me to the supervisor and keeps me waiting for 30mins then tells me Supervisor is busy and will call me back as soon as possible. No one calls me for 8 hours then I call back. Still the Supervisor is BUSY so they can't connect me!!!! Finally the Supervisor calls me back after 24 hours.
Very bad experience. Their most expensive plan also doesn't cover anything. (there is a fine print for every issue/appliance in their policy which they will refer to and say they will NOT cover the ISSUE) STAY AWAY! You will be paying ~$500 buck for nothing. I have found a technician by myself and paid out of my pocket for every issue. What a waste! Find yourself better home warranty.

I had not received or could not locate my plan that was supposed to be emailed however they were happy to assist in sending another within the next 24-48 hours and take my claim over the phone. It is 3 weeks now that 2 tickets were placed for HVAC. The first contractor came and said the compressor is broke due to electrical failure which he never mentioned during his visit. The company asked me to get a second opinion who said there was no electrical failure. Still the company do not want to anything for this. I have called them almost every day for the last 2 weeks with no sign of them fixing the problem. The 2nd ticket to repair the water heater was done at the same time. I recently bought a house and after moving in, found the garbage disposal did not work. That is after it was passed during the home inspection. The unit was leaking from the bottom and would not turn on. I contacted Select with the issue and within a couple of hours the replacement was approved and an email was sent to me informing me how to be reimbursed for a new garbage disposal. Other warranty companies immediately give the name and number of the service provider, but at Select Home Warranty you have to wait and get the info through an email within 48 hours. I don't like that. Also SHW does not follow up with the customer to make sure they were able to connect with the service provider. In the past it has taken over a week for the service provider to contact me. The company still owes me a reimbursement from over year ago and I keep getting the run-around from various departments.

This is my first time filing a claim on my washer. The process for filing was easy. So far I am satisfied with the service I have received. Hopefully there is a technician in our area that can service my appliance and get me up and going fast. We are a family of 6 and really use this appliance. I have had this service since the beginning of the year and since I have had it this is my second claim. The first claim went well. The only thing was that I was without air conditioning for one week in the summer heat. It was horrible but we got through it. Had to go out and purchase several Box fans in order to keep us cool.

They are the very worst company I've ever had to deal with. Their customer service is also awful. There's no actual management. I had an AC down in the middle of summer and it took two weeks to find out they are scammers and were going to do nothing about it to help. The website says they protect you from costs but in fact it is the opposite. They take your money and then do nothing to help. Please read the policy before giving your credit card. I had it explained to me that everything was covered. Gave my credit card info then they sent me the policy 5 days later. Apparently no signature is required for you to agree to their terms even though it says initial and signature on it. Also know that when I tried to cancel they basically stole $300.00 extra dollars from the refund I was owed.
They say it's in their policy. The monthly payments become $42.00. There's a $75.00 cancelation fee... and to top it off any work you had done during the months you paid $42.00 they don't actually cover you so you pay their out of pocket costs. The whole thing is a scam. I had an old unit that went bad and rusted out and because I needed a new unit and freon put in the new unit they wouldn't cover it as they have an out with freon. Every unit requires it and it is actually the number one issue you will run into. I told them that I would do the freon myself. Just fix the rest of it. They said "we don't do partial repairs." Not really sure what they do other than take your money. I would never wish their policy on anyone just save your money and use it when you have issues. Total scam.
It's my fault for not realizing I should've looked at BBB and saw that they had horrid reviews and that they weren't accredited. They have a nice looking website but it's all lies! They don't cover anything major and have an out for just about anything. Also, cancel right away cause if they go to see how much they owe you they will tack on another month. I asked them to cancel service in July. They got back to me in August and said, "Oh well you didn't cancel till the second." That way they get to take an extra $42.00. They also start the months before you can use it as you have to wait a month before you can use it but still another $42.00.

I've tried a few home warranty services but Select Home Warranty beats them all hands down. Customer service and prompt technicians to help 365. If there was an award to give this company should have all of them. I can't say enough about them. I recommend Select Home Warranty to everyone who is buying or looking for a home. A/C unit. I called in and the lady handled it quickly and within 15 hours I got a call from a serviceman. I am scheduled for a service technician to come out on August the 5th. When we called to initiate a claim, the person who helped us was very kind and empathetic toward our issue. She took down all of the information she needed and answered all of our questions. She found a local plumbing company and initialized the process to get us some help. We received a couple messages that let us know the claim was being processed and the got a request for the three best dates and times to have a technician arrive at our home to get started.

The quote, as well as the purchase process, was super simple. I was able to set my policy to start after my current policy with someone else ended, such that I did not have to pay for two policies. Alex did an amazing job of walking me through different options and helped me pick the best option. He offered multi-year discounts, as well as offered a better price to sign up on the call v/s doing it later. The agent was very helpful and patient. My experience was better than expected and was able to sign up for coverage within a few minutes. The agent presented several additional options that I hadn't seen on the website which, in the end, saved me a considerable amount of money. Loved being able to get an online quote that met our needs for a great price. My only complaint is the number of phone calls that I received from the time that I started the online quote process until the time that we signed up for a plan. One or two calls and a voicemail would have been a reasonable number but I received many more than that. The agent that I spoke with was professional and courteous.

I called about my refrigerator claim. The rep was so helpful even though it was not his department. He actually helped me with two different things I wanted to discuss. He deserves kudos for being very professional and courteous. He also helped me with a claim on my microwave, a reimbursement claim. He instructed me on what the next step would be on each of the claims that I called for and what to expect.

The company does not pay their claims, This was the second time they denied. Stay away from this company. I was given permission to get my own tech because it was 100 degrees, and all the techs were assigned, I submitted the bill. They said ok then wanted pictures and maintenance records. Now they just denied it saying it was maintenance not repair.

Refrigerator is producing water inside. Water is going into the vegetable bins and on the top shelf inside fridge. Called in the claim. Girl that took the claim was nice. Would have been nice to have the number for dispatch to see who they were going to send out. Got an email confirmation within 2 hours. Will see how the rest of the process goes. I am hopeful that it will all turn out ok.

So far I’m happy with the service. All of my issues resolved and this current car ** hoping to be resolve timely. Only suggestion is improving process efficiency to reduce outage- however that is also depending on the nature of the issue. I recommend others to have such policy with Select warranty. Though suggest patience is the virtue for the valued service. Believe understanding the process is a key instead saying send people over. I used to with other service and they were sending people quickly but following process was burden on them whereas with Select you have to engage with them in each step. Once you understand it’s easy.

If I could give zero stars I would. After waiting on hold for hours on end waiting to speak with a supervisor both my husband and I never once spoke to them. Always promising a supervisor would call us within a hour and it never happened. After waiting TWO WEEKS to hear back about our broken fridge we were told they would only give us $150 since our fridge did not meet their requirements. During those two weeks we constantly called for updates. What a waste of time and money and they always said “within 24-48 hrs we will have an update for you”. We even paid for the platinum warranty. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Within the first month of the contract being in effect, I contacted them that I wanted to end the contract and have my money reimbursed. I was given a lengthy q-and-a about why, but I was told it would be cancelled. He even quoted the amount that would be returned. However, days later it is still not cancelled, and when I call I get a total run-around about when (IF EVER) it will be. All I ever get are call-center people and mass-reply emails. Don't buy from them if you ever want to talk to an actual person in charge.

I decided to sign up with Select Home Warranty to cover my appliances. I submitted my 1st claim a week ago regarding my clothes washer not working. I have yet received information regarding a technician. I've called every day after the 38 hr period which is what they guarantee you a technician for updates. When I call, I get told the same thing... "Sorry for the delay. We are trying to find a technician." And then I get same automated emails, "We are dispatching a technician. Please allow 24 to 48 hours." Save your money or go with another company!!!

They SAy one thing (the plumbing system is covered) but when the water heater leaks and has to be replaced, they say the water heater isn't covered! How can you have a "plumbing system" without a water heater. What they SAY cannot be trusted - GET IT IN WRITING BEFORE you enroll. And for any repair. Our A/C system (June in Phoenix area with temperatures over 110, their repair "sub-contractor" NEVER called. I called to get help and was transferred to their "Authorization Department" to get authorization for a company I picked off google. TWICE this happened - each time I had to leave a message with the "Authorization Department. They NEVER called me back.
We had the work done and submitted the invoice, then SHW wanted a photo of the unit for some ungiven reason. We supplied 2 photos and the repairing company also supplied photos. The repair was $976 so with our $45 deductible we expected to be REIMBURSED $931. SHW offered $150. I asked for the name and phone number of any of their local A/C "sub-contractors? so I could ask them if they would have accepted my $45 deductible and SHW's $150. SHW has yet to provide the "sub-contractor" data.
If they aren't crooks, they sure exhibit VERY similar characteristics. They email me to call them to discuss the matter and, as I don't trust what they say verbally, I have asked to get all data in writing (email). They have yet to respond. I may buy a phone recorder, call them, tell them the conversation is being recorded and go from there. No one should have to go through this with a respectable company that we thought would "protect" us from huge repair expenses. It seems they take your money and scrimp when "REIMBURSING".

Do not choose Select Home Warranty. Hands down WORST ever customer service. Made a claim for my pool pump. 4 days later a company comes out 5 hours after their scheduled time. Smelling strongly of weed. They can fix the problem. But don't have the parts. Select Home Warranty will not answer their call or mine. But the pool service offered to cut the line any ways. Declined that. Then they offered to come back the next day for an up front payment. That the warranty company has yet to approve. Have spent countless hours on the phone with Select Home Warranty. Mostly on hold because they can not figure anything out on their own. They refuse to allow you to speak to a manager or supervisor. NEVER HAVE I EVER BEEN SO DISAPPOINTED IN A COMPANY.

We have a home warranty. We expect that it would cover parts and labor. That's what we thought we paid for. As it turns out they don't want to cover the labor to fix our broken water heater. So while they go back and forth over the quote The contractor was suppose to call and straighten it out by pricing the parts and labor. We still don't have it resolved and in the meantime we have no hot water. We need to place a separate claim for the electrical portion of the original claim. I hate to wonder about this. We are both handicapped, and feel they are discriminating against us. We paid for a warranty not for a 1/2 warranty.

I bought a contract and Select Home Warranty failed to fulfill it both times I tried to use it. First time was for a hot water heater that was not heating water and had water around the bottom. They refused to send out a repair person and said ANY leaks were not covered. Would not even send someone out to diagnose the problem before denying coverage. Second time I called was for refrigerator. Select said they would send out repair company but repair person never showed up. I called that company to see why they did not show and was told "we will not provide service for Select Home Warranty coverage because Select has not been paying them for other jobs they had done for Select".
I called Select and they refused to contact another service company on my behalf. Select told me to find a repair service on my own and then IF the problem was covered they would reimburse me! If they won't pay their own contractors why would I believe they would reimburse me? Canceled my policy 6 weeks ago, charged a cancellation fee, and still waiting for a reimbursement check. There are several more reputable companies out there, suggest anyone looking for a home warranty company stay away from Select.

Garage door was working oddly (opening and closing randomly) in a home that we just purchased. After contacting the home warranty company, a repair team was dispatched within hours which was greatly appreciated! They were polite and provided quick service. The team recommended additional repair, but haven’t yet confirmed whether this will be covered by the warranty- hopefully it is! If so, the value and service ratings I provided will be higher, but this is TBD at this early point.

The order was placed and half of the information was wrong once the contract came thru; The plan should have been Bronze not Gold, the unit was a Condo not a Single Family Home and part of the address incorrect. This was straightened out on the 2nd phone call. My Realtor was to receive a copy as she purchased it for us, but never got a copy. I emailed her my copy when she asked to have it forwarded. I understand it may be difficult when placing orders over the phone and hearing the right information. Thank you.

Gave me a lot of information and was able to set everything in motion right then. I was able to go to a monthly plan as the yearly amount was out of my range at the moment. With the 30 day wait it will go into effect before my other warranty is up so I won't lack coverage. I was able to save $150 even without paying the year upfront. It seems like a good buy, especially as I was promised service the same day if I needed to call someone.

I was helped by Jonathan **. He was very professional, friendly and listed very closely to me. He answered all my concerns, offered valuable information about how I can get better benefits and lower my cost. He explained how purchasing a five or ten year policy would reduce the yearly cost and add another year to the policy. He also explained that the service call fee would be less for each claim. He did such a good job that I went ahead and purchased the five year policy that gave me an extra year and dropped the service call fee. He also included roof leaks to the policies. This pleased me very much because I own three properties. I purchased warranties for all three of my properties. Thanks to Sol also. Both agents that helped me were GREAT.

No sales pressure. Sales fielded all questions and provided intelligent, detailed and clear response to all questions. In addition, sales rep provided sundry very beneficial and enticing alternatives to a single one year contract which in essence provide varied multi-year options that would insure full coverage at varied lower fixed cost depending upon option selected. He also explained the process moving forward and let me know what all was covered under the premium platinum plan. Mark ** was very helpful with helping me decide to purchase the warranty, he explained all my options, and went over all costs associated with the service. I like that a repairman will come to the house within two days of calling and that all my appliances will be covered. I also purchased a three year contract that was more beneficial and I won't have to worry about renewing each year. After talking to Mark I didn't need to look anywhere else.

The Select Home Warranty authorized technician determined our water heater needs replacement (about $2,500) but after about three months of phone calls and emails, Select Home Warranty determined that based on the depreciated value of the water heater, they will only pay $185.00 toward replacement. Despite having a 6 year Select Home Warranty policy, we will have to pay more than $2,000 ourselves toward replacement of the water heater. We are very surprised to find out our Select Home Warranty will only pay less than 10% of the replacement cost.

Up until this month, I had been a loyal customer of another home warranty carrier for over 8 years, but I switched after seeing that Select Home Warranty offered a few larger list of covered items (including roof leaks!), more competitive monthly rate and a less expensive deductible for service calls. The operator handled the switchover effortlessly and I was amazed at how little time it took to switch over. While I never look forward to having to use a home warranty policy, I rest easier knowing that I made the choice to get the best one that Select Home Warranty had to offer!

We have a homeowner policy with Select Home Warranty. Our air conditioner went out so we called them. They sent Starr Quality Air, 8705 Bluffwood Lane, Fort Washington, MD 20744. Repairman told us the problem we paid him our part, he never turned in the information to Select Home Warranty and his phone was always busy. We again contacted the insurance co. and was told to get another contractor and we would be reimbursed. We gave them the estimate for the work prior to getting the repair, now Select Home Warranty will only pay a fraction of the repair cost. We were told to get someone ourselves and they would reimburse us. We are offered only a fraction of the cost to make the repair. Select Home Warranty sent this person into our home we believed he would do the job because Select claims they vet their repair people which was not the case for us. I have to give at least 1 star but they did not earn either.

No flow light is on plus my generating light is off so I am not generating chlorine. Started having problems with unit around July 21st 2019. Awaiting a callback from Pinch A Penny Pool store for them to come out to see what the problem may be. Select Home Warranty responded very quickly. I inquired online about a home warranty for my client and even after talking with Select Home Warranty on the phone telling them she declined a home warranty, they refuse to leave me alone. They call off all different phone numbers and when I ask them to not call because I told them “NO” already, THEY hang up on me! This is not only unprofessional but completely wrong in this business! Very Poor Customer Service. I paid for service in full for a year in good faith that they would assist when I needed the service. I had to find my own contractor, theirs had no clue. I paid upfront for the service and sit here 6 weeks later and still have not been reimbursed for the services. I have tried to see the status of my claim online, they do not offer that assistance. When I email and ask for any information, all I get is to call their number and pick option 5. They are not helpful, I ask for a supervisor and am told that one is not available. No options, nothing. They do not care about people, they do not care about customer service, customer care.

I need a new rhine underneath the toilet and they didn't cover normal wear and tore of the rhine only movable parts like the handle. The company is a rip off. They don't repair **. They are a lie. Please do not get your service from them. The people they send to your house is fake and don't want to repair anything. They don't even look at your problem but still got to pay the service fee if the come in your house.
