Dishwasher made very loud noise when running, leaked water, and did not drain. The soap packet was not dissolved. Dishwasher is a Whirlpool royal. It is a built in model. I have tried rebutting and resetting but it still will not drain, just hums. If I have any questions, the people at Select are always very helpful and congenial.. Much nicer than a previous service I used. I have already recommended Select to my friends and family.

My contractor for both the claims I put in cancelled and they have not found me a replacement yet for the plumbing or the refrigerator. The lady on the phone was nice though I might be able to find someone for the refrigerator, but the lady couldn't really tell me what the process was when I did find someone. If I do find my own I do not know what to tell them. They should do except for contact them, so without me knowing the process I am scared that they may not want to do the job because they might worry about payment.

I have had quite an interesting time with this claim. First off, the representative did not listen so I had to continuously repeat myself. Then, the work order was assigned to one repair contractor and after an appointment was scheduled it was cancelled by the contractor for some unknown reason. It was reassigned to another facility. I am currently waiting to hear about my appointment with the new contractor. In the meantime, my fridge is freezing everythong inside it and the dishwasher is leaking on my new floor when it is used. This is my first time using this warranty after paying for it for almost a year so far I am not overly impressed with the service I have received.

The customer service is great and the promotional discounts offered make Select Home Warranty the best choice for home warranty protection on the market. I would recommend anyone interested in a home warranty program. I have had protection for years with another company and I was not satisfied with their service so I decided to try another company and thus far have been very satisfied. My biggest reason for choosing Select Home Warranty is the fact that I can choose a local, licensed company to perform any work needed.

I recently purchased a home warranty policy. It was on the advice and testimony of a relative, who had also just purchased a policy. I was very pleased with Agent William **. He was very thorough and helpful. He worked with me to get me a policy that I could afford. Even though I haven't made a claim yet, I would recommend you and William ** to my friends, just because of the good help I received over the phone.

Pleased with the customer service I received today when purchasing this home warranty. Steven answered all my questions about the warranty and explained the process of how it worked. Offered several options in buying the warranty. After purchasing this home warranty I felt confident that I had chosen the best home warranty I could with Select compared to other home warranty companies out there. I would highly recommend Select to family and friends. The coverage you get with this home warranty is a great value for the price.

I have called a few times already regarding this order and they have not been able to send a technician, then it was decided for me to find my own, and company will reimburse me with money spent on the final repairs! So I did and I’m still waiting for final results???? The person I’ve Called came and found out the problem so he’s going to order the parts and will call us to let us know about prices.

I called to make a claim and was helped very clearly by Aileen. She was very concise, polite and patient. She gave me all the information that I needed to know for my claim along with how it all works out over the next few days. If all goes well and we are able to get our dryer fixed very soon, we will be thrilled and thankful that we have this coverage. Our home is not new, and we are depending on this warranty or insurance to take care of things when we need them within our budget. It gives us a peace of mind to be able to call and get the help that we need 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

I signed up with a sales agent a few weeks ago and chose the top plan and he did not mention that their policies all require a 30 day waiting period. That felt frustrating and dishonest, but I decided I could live with that. I tried emailing and calling, as did my realtor to try to help see whatever other fine print I might need to see. I think it's completely deceitful to get you to agree to plan based on hidden information. They twice said they would send me the information I requested and my realtor requested but they never did.
Today 11 days after receiving my invoice from them and having the title company send the check 9 days ago, they are still unable to show me any information on my account. That I could still live with and be patient about, UNTIL the man on the phone from customer service refused to transfer me to his superior even though I asked repeatedly. I kept insisting as I was trying to find out why the check hadn't cleared yet. He kept changing the answers he would give me when I asked the same questions. I asked to talk to billing, but he said he was only allowed to transfer me to sales. I did not want Sales, since I was by now trying to either find where in the heck my check was, or cancel. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I felt like Satan himself might be running this company and training the customer service department. I do not enjoy arguing with agents and that is not my style but I actually had to raise my voice just to talk to billing FINALLY!
DISHONEST COMPANY. AVOID IF YOU CAN! They don't deserve a one star review, but they don't offer zero stars. If you're looking for Home Warranty companies, look at OneGuard. They actually show sample contracts online and upfront. So refreshing to find an honest company after dealing with the disaster and dishonesty of Select Home Warranty. I have never experienced as much lying/deceiving, ignoring and blatant disrespecting as I did from this company. And I have never left such a mad review before. Hope it saves someone else from the hell we just went through.

The rep was polite and tried to be helpful, but was hard to understand and I didn't feel she fully understood what I was conveying. i.e. the word "shorted" which was the message on my microwave and I was concerned about fire hazard. Sad about policy for replacement for microwave which offers depreciated allowance (less deductible) and provides zero help with shopping and installation. Based on this, I believe the company strives to find things things not to cover.

Very patient and not pushy as some sale people, I had to deal with. He tried to give me the best deal and, worked with me to see which plan was more effective for me. I spoke with Sam. He was very helpful explaining the plans and working with me to get as many discounts as he could. Being a senior on a fixed income I truly appreciated the time and energy he put into making my buying a home warranty at an affordable price. I researched several home warranty companies. This by far was the best coverage at the most reasonable rate. I would definitely recommend them to a friend.

Salesman was very friendly and worked with me to get a reasonably priced home warranty. I have not used the warranty yet, so I cannot comment on that. Based on their online reviews and customer service so far, I would highly recommend them. I have had other home warranties in the past, and they were more expensive. Steven, the sales rep was friendly and helped make the home warranty as affordable as possible. Great phone call.

Excellent service. This representative was very informative. He explained everything to my satisfaction, My questions were answered knowledgeably. I received my contract via email and printed it so my husband could view it at his leisure. I am currently waiting on a callback pertaining to a savings offer I needed to present to my husband. Called to inquire about a home warranty. Spoke with Jonathan and with his professionalism and giving us the best service for the price we could afford it all went above expectations. Multiple year plans do lock in the cost if you can afford to. Since we purchased a 3.5 year warranty we received over $100 off what the yearly plan costs. Also buying the multi year plan lower our deductible by $15 a visit. We were with AHS but this really looks like it will be better and Select Home Warranty covers more.

Jonathan **, the salesman I talked with on the phone, was very polite and knowledgeable. He listened and answered all of my questions, and offered all the discounts I was eligible for. He thoroughly explained how the plan worked and the pricing options that were available. I compared Select with 3 other home warranty plans, and found Select to be the best option. They had more coverage than the others for the cost. I also found that Select had one of the best consumer ratings and that is important to me.

I contacted them as soon as I saw the leak. And they handled my case right away. I just didn't know that I was missing a coverage. So the lady was glad to walk me through the process of getting that missing coverage. I was with other home warranty insurances before. They were quite expensive. I hope my collaboration with this one will last long. The price is fair for a medium income like me. I would encourage my friends to come to that company.

I have a garbage disposal unit that was leaking lots of water. I was told it would have to be replaced, and how much I would be getting towards a replacement unit. The customer service representative was very courtesy and knowledgeable, concerning the problem I was having. Professionalism, good advice, made this process go smoothly and comfortably, this was a good experience. I once had a home warranty service that didn't warn me in writing that the company was going out of business, I found out about it in their voicemail. I highly recommend Select Home Warranty.

Denied a claim without even sending someone out to see if there was a problem with the appliance. I realize I would still have to pay the service call fee and that would have been ok even if it was not covered. Making a determination without an examination is discouraging. There is no way a determination can be made over the phone without actually examining a unit.

I am very happy with the customer service experience I have had with Select. The wait time to hear back after submitting a claim is minimal. I have had an excellent experience when repairs have been done. Having Select is an excellent value, and the coverage is far superior to other plans I have researched. I am a single mother. Every little detail provided by the agents tend to put the customer on hold. Not just once, the agent looks up the case and grabs the details and returns to confirm the records. Next they take your question and then put you on hold again. The process takes forever and the response is usually generic like they have no new information or please allow more time when the specified time has already passed. Quality of service is very low as well, hiring contractors who do not cover my area and then decide to not be responsive other than they will call back and never do. Then they respond a day later asking to contact the company again to have the claim re-assigned only to wait another 24-48 hours.

The customer service representative was pleasant, informative, and was willing to listen to my situation and provide support. He placed my claim and emailed me promptly. Clear and concise service. The customer service representative was patient and helpful with helping select the best renewal options for my home. I’ve had Select in previous years. I only had to use them once but you never know. I would recommend especially for the price. I’m a single mom with little time. I have on two separate occasions ask for a copy of my POLICY. Both times I just get my CONTRACT. Still no policy. I would like to know the details of what I am paying for. The next star star ratings is based on just my phone calls for my policy request since I have not had a claim yet. I also don’t have an Order Number. I guess since I didn’t need service. But I would still like my POLICY. NOT THE CONTRACT PLEASE.

I just signed up for the platinum care coverage plan. The agent Fred was very nice and helped me with all my questions and also very knowledgeable. I had another warranty co. but they were quite a bit more expensive with less coverage. A lot of appliances that I used a lot like refrigerator, washer and dryer I had to pay extra for coverage, not with Select so I am looking forward to a long relationship with Select Home Warranty.

While researching online I had barely hit the submit button when the phone was ringing and he was offering to answer questions. I was able to add our pool and pump. The service fee is less than the other policy that I was looking at. I am hopeful that I will not need to use the policy, but am glad that it is available if necessary.

I just purchased my first plan with Select and Martin (ext. **) was so helpful and nice! He helped me pick a great plan, helped me set up a payment plan, and made sure I understood every step of the process. He made the service fee so much more reasonable and exhibited patience with me when my phone was cutting out. I switched to Select from another company because of customer service, so I am quite hopeful that if your people are all like Martin, I will be much happier with Select than I was with the other company.

Dryer inop. Has power at controls - just beeps and message CL flashes. 1st claim call. Answered quickly. Dispatch confirmed request quickly. So far so good. Waiting for contact from repair associate to call for appt. Happy w/ price of contract but you get a little dizzy when trying to purchase due some pressure felt when signing up - and all the different prices available and offers free roofing even though you already know and signed. After sale I kept getting calls to purchase w/ again more deals.

Fraud company. Customer service is very bad. While selling the product sales department makes false statements and agreements. But when time to payoff the money after repair, customer service behaves arrogant and finds the way not to pay the money back to consumers. Totally misguides to customer as well as contractor . I signed this home warranty on April 30. After that I put a service request on June. Until September they didn't resolve the issue. They took the service fee. Customer service representatives are very unprofessional.

This company is absolutely awful. Do not use them. They have done nothing but run me and my husband through loops for a month. We had about three different claims on the same well pump that went bad. They kept telling us that we did the claim form wrong so we had to keep re-doing the claim forms. I finally got it to where they said it was supposed to be and then they denied it. They plainly told us that they were sending us a claim form for reimbursement and then decided that because my husband did the work they were not going to pay us.
We cannot find anybody to come out that had services for Select warranty in our area. We live around North Myrtle Beach South Carolina in Horry County. Do not I repeat do not use this company. They contract out their claim representative who do not understand what you’re saying or what you’re trying to do. They only run you through hoops and tell one lie after another lie after another lie. This is a gosh awful company. Do not I repeat do not use them.

I have never been more disappointed in anything in my life. I have been with you guys for a long time and when I finally use the warranty, you come with some ** that I did not properly have my AC unit cleaned on an annual basis. I will tell you that when the AC company comes by and inspects my unit, they recommend whether to clean or not. Your company makes me want to pay for something that I don't need to pay for, and then the condenser motor goes out. You tell me that because I do not have a maintenance records for the last 3 years of cleaning the Unit, I am only able to receive $150 reimbursement. Wow, I will tell you that I take care of my AC unit by changing the filter every 30 days since I purchased it. My unit had been cleaned at the recommendation of the AC company technician.
This seems more like fraud to me than a service warranty company. Coming from a Realtor that would recommend your service to hundreds of my clients, very disappointed, feeling cheated because the paragraphs you depict in your terms, I still haven't received, even after requesting them again. They sent me an email saying how the contract is attached, and it isn't. Figure That.

Absolute scam! I would stay away from this and probably all Home Warranty companies. They are nothing more than a ponzi scheme but they don't pay for anything. I even upgraded to a two year deal with these guys only to find out when it comes time to need them, they are quick to deny everything and won't cover a single thing. I paid nearly $1,000 to these thieves and when I cancelled my policy after I found out they won't cover anything, they said there is a cancellation fee. HA what kind of a joke is that??? Not to mention before I even found out that the AC would not be covered (despite having the highest level package with them) I was pulling my hair out just to get a company to come look at our AC unit.
I called about 10 different times and not once did I speak to someone who spoke English. I couldn't understand them and they could not understand me. What a disaster. STAY AWAY. You are better off saving some money for home repairs than to give these guys money and then pay a service fee call and then end up paying for everything out of pocket anyway. Can't believe this is legal.

Do not use this company for your Home Warranty. I have always had a home warranty since I purchased my home 4 years ago, the last company would just send the same service technicians out each year to service our HVAC and the fees just kept climbing and climbing. We decided to go with Select Home Warranty (which I actually thought was Sears Home Warranty Company) and that was a huge mistake. My HVAC broke, I called to have someone come out, I had to follow up on the service technician multiple times, he came out said there was a part broken and that SHW would call with next steps, never left me a service ticket, a business card, nothing.
I had to follow up with SHW on next steps, they will only email you and ask you to call. They requested I send pictures of my unit, which I did, that took 3 days to review, then I call they say they cannot process my claim because I did not upload service records (I was never asked to provide them) so I hunt down 3 years of service tickets and give them another 5 days not because its a weekend I have to follow up. They tell me they need one more year of service records and that I am only eligible for $150 reimbursement. I still do not know at this point I need my entire AC unit replaced, I ask multiple times to speak to a manager, can never get one, then the rep who barely speaks English tells me they will get fired for giving me their manager's information (what kind of legitimate company says that).
Days later I refuse to get off the phone without speaking to a manager, I get ahold of one and he finally tells me I need a new system and that I can use any technician I want to replace it then I need to file a claim for reimbursement within 30 days. He then tells me they will still only reimburse $150 because in 2016 we had a part that was not functioning at 100% replaced and that voids the warranty. Tell me how replacing a part that is not broken to make sure your system is running properly voids your warranty? I replaced my AC unit 2 days after that call, had I known their policy and what was wrong with my system I would have done that from the very beginning.
I have asked multiple times for their Business info Tax ID to show proof they are a valid company able to do business in Maryland and they keep saying they will send the info and then no response from the manager. When they first sold me the policy the sales rep Fred Lewis tried repeatedly to get me to pay for the policy in full and was very pushy about it now I know why they want to steal your money upfront. This company and all of their sales and call center reps are Frauds. Do not waste your money or your time with this company!!

We had our old home warranty for many years and were looking for a change based on a few bad experiences over the years. The Select Home Warranty plan was very comprehensive and is expected to cover our needs adequately. The process of signing up on the company website was very easy. The order was executed very quickly. The representative called promptly and clearly explained the options to us without wasting our time. We would recommend this service to our friends.

All seems to be fine at this time. So far so good. Returns calls and emails in timely manner. The price is very competitive for the type of coverage offered compared to others that I also quoted. Though I wasn't aware that you had to do the annual payment to get the discount and extra 2 months of service for free opposed to the monthly payment which worked out better for me at this time.

The A/C is not blowing out cool air. The A/C is running but it is not throwing cool air. It is very hot in Odessa, Texas. Please send somebody asap. The unit is outside. Again please send somebody a sap because it is very hot and I am 88 years old. I do not have anything else to say. The man that I was talking to in making my claim was very helpful and very considerate. I was very happy with him. He did a awesome job in helping me.

The agent was very knowledgeable, they offer discounts, and they work with you to ensure that your home is covered. Will highly recommend. They also Offer multi year discounts and plans to ensure you’re covered. They worked to make sure all the systems I needed would be addressed, and their limitations appear to be above industry standard. The other thing I appreciated was that there was not a crazy weight like I had in the past with American Home Shield. My experience thus far is better.

Fast and easy way to submit our claim. No “50 questions” before the order is processed like all the other home warranty companies out there. We were with our last home warranty company for six years. After they were purchased by a large company, the coverages changed horribly, got stuck with less than professional or knowledgeable repair technicians. Everyone we spoke with at SHW was very professional and extremely helpful. They provided us with all the possible options and were very courteous without any hard sell tactics. We are very hopeful that if we need to use their services during the length of this contract, that our experience will be as excellent. We spoke with the company 3 different times, and had a good experience with all three contacts. We would recommend Select to anyone looking for this type of service for their home.

I’ve had no problems with Select warranty so far. The pricing is very far (better than what we were using before). We just filed our first claim so we are going to see how good that goes. We will see how they are at communication and getting some out quick and really getting it fixed. The customer service has been good every time I’ve called although they were very pushy in trying to sell longer packages.

Central air died Sat evening and was contacted by Comfort Masters at 10:30 am the next morning and he is on his way. GREAT SERVICE! Could not ask for better service and Select Home is a great value for the cost. This is my first clam and am very impressed. I would recommend their service to any and everyone. Being on a fixed income it's a great comfort to know that if something goes wrong with anything in my home Select Home Warranty will be there for me with little cost on my end.

I called Select asking why I should sign with them rather than my current provider, and I liked the answers. Zachary was perfection. Yes, a great sales guy, but you knew he was here to authentically help. I worried about a potential lapse in coverage and he resolved that issue as soon as he learned of it. I submitted a claim one week ago and have heard nothing from the company, my claim has not been processed and my air conditioner remains broken. I have called the company 3 times and each time they say they have escalated my complaint to a manager. It's a joke. I believe this company is nothing but a scam. They don't call, they don't process your claim. Nothing. They won't let you speak to anyone other than the agent that answers the phone which is obviously in some foreign country.

My documents had been lost in the move, and I was hoping it would be way more efficient to have a rep provide them than stress any more. It was! A simple phone call was all it took and the customer service agent was very understanding and helpful. Thanks for taking one more thing off my plate! Where do I start. SHW is a complete joke. We have a home warranty with them that we got with our house. On the invoice that we received it clearly states that it covers roof leaks. So when our roof started to leak I decided to give them a call. They told me they would pair me up with a local company to do the work and that the contractor would contact me. Well the contractor they paired me with never called me and I had to call back SHW to get their information. After I called the contractor to set up the appointment I realized that this contractor has below a 2 star rating on every review site I found them listed on.
Fast forward to the day of the appointment. The contractor never shows up so I have to call the contractor and the lady apologizes with some excuse about the computer system having issues. She says the contractor will come out the next morning between 7am-11am. I get a call from the technician at 11:10 saying he is 45 minutes away. He didn’t show up until 12:20pm. This technician rings my doorbell and says, "So you have a roof leak." I say yes and show him where it is.
Immediately the guy ask me if I have a ladder so he can use it to get on the roof. (You knew you were inspecting a roof. Why didn’t you bring a ladder?) Anyways he gets on my roof for less than 5 minutes to tell me what I already know, that I have a roof leak. He climbs down and I ask him how long it will take him to fix it. He informs me for the first time that this is just a diagnostic and not the actually repair and that they will need to contact SHW to get approval for the work. Then he tells me that it will be a $45 service charge. Of course SHW didn’t tell me about that either.
Later that day I get an email from SHW that says exactly this. “Thank you for submitting your claim. We have processed your claim for policy #**. After a Review of the diagnosis concerning the specific issue with your Roof, it has been determined that your Policy Does Not Cover this particular leak. Please see section 6.4.2 of the policy.
This Agreement does NOT cover the following list of modules, components and parts relating to roof leaks: (i) patios; (ii) porches, (iii) decks; (iv) metal roofs; (v) foam roofs; (vi) shingles; (vii) cemwood shakes; (viii) cracked and/or missing material; (ix) tiles; (x) tar and gravel; (xi) flat or built-up roofs; (xii) structural leaks; (xiii) asphalt; (xiv) gutters; (xv) downspouts; (xvi) skylights; (xvii) flashing; (xviii) patio covers; (xix) solar components; (**) attic vents; (xxi) roof jacks; (xxii) satellite components; (xxiii) antennae; and (xxiv) chimney components. This Agreement does NOT cover repairs requiring partial or complete replacement of the roof. The next step would be to have your Roof repair/replaced by the technician sent to you by Select Home Warranty.”
So my question after that email is what part of “roof leak” do you actually cover cause it sounds like I need to have a hut out back with a palm leave roof for you to do any actual “work” on it. Anyways so I call SHW back and say that I thought it was covered and had I known it wouldn’t be covered I wouldn’t have even bothered to call them. She basically repeats the email back to me that I referenced and says that it won’t be covered. So I say that is fine but I want my $45 back that I paid the bogus company you had come do the “diagnostic” that I didn’t need. She tells me she can’t do that so I ask to speak to a supervisor and she puts me on hold. She comes back a few minutes later and refuses to let me talk to her supervisor. So now I am out $45 dollars and still have a leaking roof. Please be smart and not use Select Home Warranty.

I explained to the woman who took my call that we are senior citizens and was informed our case will be expedited. The promised email arrived quickly, and the customer service personnel were very nice, helpful and professional. Waiting for a tech to call and schedule a visit. We are encouraged that our service need will resolve fully and soon. It was good to get through to someone very fast with no hold time, so the response time was excellent.

Sam ** is the gentleman I dealt with. He was very professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and I did not feel he was trying to push something off on me. He answered all my questions and explained them. When I did not receive my warranty on email I called him and he immediately sent it again. Having a home warranty gives me peace of mind. Sam also helped me by getting a plan to cover my needs and a payment plan to fit my budget.

I called the company to report a leak in the pipe in my kitchen ceiling. This was on Tuesday morning 8/27/19. They told me that they were set me up with a contractor. I waited for the contractor to call and nothing. I called the contractor and their VM was full. I called the company and they said they would reach out to them, I still heard nothing but a bunch of, "I'm so sorry, let me put you on hold for at least 4 mins while I look into this." I asked to speak to the manager and was told I would get a call back, NEVER CALLED BACK after 4 requests!!!! They do not give a damn at all!!!!
I finally get through to the contractor who gives me a window on Thursday 8/29/19 of 7am to 11am. Do they show during that window, NO! Some guy shows up at my house at 4:51pm that day, HAS NO TOOLS, makes the issue worse in the area where the pipe was leaking and says he will be back in the morning! The guy never showed up this morning, the contractor never called to follow up as promised! I called this lousy company again, and was offered the alternative of hiring my own contractor and the company will reimburse me for the cost. What a freaking lie! I paid 583.00 for this repair, I submitted the invoice immediately and they are now stating that the cap for reimbursement is $150.00. This was never stated on their end during any of the calls. This is fraud at its finest. All true and factual! Do not waste your money!

The house for the claim is a rental property. The tenant reported a water leak near the water heater and a claim was submitted about a water heater problem. The service tech from Diaz Services reported that it was not the water heater but instead it was the AC system next to the water heater. The evaporator core condensation tray overflowed due to a clogged drain line. The repair was completed as quickly as possible but the time factor for completion was affected by the tenant's available. Other than the tenant's limited available to have the house open, the repairs were completed in a speedy manner. I am satisfied with the service we were given. I also liked the status/progress visual chart; it showed the current status of the repair.

Jonathan explained everything and made it easy. I had Choice warranty before - I believe this will be very different. They cover A/C, appliances heaters and even roof leaks. I have looked at several companies and this was the best value. It is important as a homeowner to feel the security of knowing your home is secure. That is all I have to say about the company.

Contract was described by salesman as transferable to another home - not so per paragraph 1. Binding Contract! Does 'Single Family' under Type of Home include a manufactured home? Contract review indicates only depreciated replacement value of failed appliances and does not provide replacement in like kind i.e. color, brand or dimensions.* Does not cover appliances that have had a previous repair. Refrigerator ice maker apparently not included nor are plumbing or electrical fixtures. *Select determines manufacturer, make and model of replacements. Requires prior years maintenance records and/or pictures.

I called to report getting water on the basement floor when I run the washing machine. Was told I would hear back in 24-48 hours and I heard back the same afternoon in less than two hours. I was very pleasantly surprised because it’s going into a Holiday weekend. I received the form to company availability right away and that was also helpful in providing peace of mind that my work would be scheduled soon. The person seemed knowledgeable and was helpful in taking my request and processing it. I look forward to getting the work done.

My experience with Select Home Warranty has been very disappointing. I am consistently given an control number and NOT a policy/ Contract #. When I questioned "where's my policy" I was given ONLY one explanation "It was STILL generating". When I ask for a supervisor I was placed on hold for a supervisor that I never responded. I STILL have not received my contract/policy. I'm starting to believe that Select Home Warranty is a SCAM!! And if I do not receive my contract/policy by no later than 9/4/19, My attorney & the BBB will be notified.

I came home from a work trip to find our house air conditioning not working. It was really hot outside. I put a claim in on Select Home Warranty's website. I got a call back from Select within 30 minutes to confirm the details of the issue and they said they were sending it to dispatch to get a repair tech out to our home. I got a text 30 minutes later to schedule my service appointment, but before I could even deciding a date and time that fit my schedule, the repair tech office called and said they could be out to us a noon. WOW! That's all I can say, they texted me when they were on their way and had the problem diagnosed and fixed with the hour. Back to the coool AC! Thanks Select Home Warranty! Great investment!

Yes was very happy with the service provided by Select themselves because had a rough time with the contractor that was sent out but they were good enough to put me in touch with another at no extra cost so will see how this one does. Hopefully the next contractor will be able to nail the problem and that it is covered by the policy. More affordable service call fee as well. Not sure about service yet as I have yet to file a claim. But the person I talked to so far was better than my last service. Fridge Ice Dispenser is leaking water. I was not aware that the ice maker was not a covered item. Second time I have had a bad experience with an item being repaired. First, it was my a/c (set me up with a company that did not service my area). Customer service told me to go find a repairman...really! BAD EXPERIENCE!!! Never got repaired through SHW. SHW contacted me over a week later with another repair company; by that time it was repaired.

From first appearance the warranty looks stellar, our seller purchased it for us as part of the sale of their home. Unfortunately, the fine print indicates that a whopping majority of anything that could possible go wrong with the systems/appliances in your home are not covered, and there are significant caps on how much $ they will cover. We tried to get information on what our refund would be to cancel (since the money would be more wisely spent on repairs we needed to make) and after more than a week, submitting several tickets and speaking with several people, no one could tell us what our refund would be UNTIL we actually cancel....which is 36 flavors of shady, if you ask me. Save yourself the headache and use money you have on actual repairs, not a worthless warranty.

Couldn't find an approved service tech in our area, so they authorized us to find our own, which we did. It took a few days to get the authorization for our claim, but in the end we were able to find a local service tech and he made the required repairs. All in all a pretty painless process. We have had a number of repairs in the past two years and have had to go through the same process of finding our own tech, but reimbursement has not been a problem.

SHW was very responsive. JUD contracting, while polite and professional, was not timely. They did a successful repair but took 3.5 days to change a condenser (10 minutes, 3 wire pigtails) and re-charge the refrigerant. This was during a near record hot week and we had an 85y.o. couple visiting. At least the downstairs HVAC was working but it was 90 degrees upstairs during the day. JUD was just too busy and did not have quick access to spares and supplies. SUPER NICE guy, just prefer another company next time.

I received a policy paid for by my sellers at closing for my new home. I couldn't find where or if I had received anything regarding my policy with Select Home Warranty. I called in today and phone was answered very promptly without having to use an automated attendant or voice attendant to route my call (this was awesome). Person on phone was able to find my account quickly and let me know that my plan would have been emailed but he would be sure to email again after verifying my email address. I have received the email and details and now hope that I don't need to call on Select Home Warranty but if I do I hope they use the same quick and prompt service in fixing real issues with my home.

Sort of shocked by the deal offered. Free months everywhere and they give a loyalty discount. I'm set for over 3 years and I feel protected. Roof leak is an extra bonus they offer, and will give peace of mind. Conversation over the phone is required, but they don't pressure you to buy an extra thing. They try to find you the best deal possible. A lot of places require a large amount to cover both appliances and air conditioning, but not this company!

Very easy to enroll in this comprehensive coverage. I have been wanting to enroll in a home warranty coverage plan and did some research. This was the best value I found with really good reviews. I'm looking forward to not needing to use it but if I do, I feel I made a good choice! Start new plan and warranty coverage. Recently left another home warranty service because of locked in contact and too much for monthly fee. Was in the market of finding a new company to cover my home. I Iike the fact that I'm not locked in a contract and the monthly fee is cheaper. Also I like the fact that my service charge is cheaper. He told me what to expect with each call and gave me the same day guarantee service. He gave all the options I have and which plan would be best for me. I recommend this to every homeowner who has a house that is at least 5 years and older. Avg cost of repair without this would be around $500 for a major appliance.

I have seven policies with SHW. I was never informed that my policy only covered one a/c unit per house, though it is in the contract. Had I been told at inception I would have taken the extra coverage on the one second unit I had. I requested that SHW in this case cover my second unit which required a replacement part that was under warranty. It took SHW about one month and five phone calls to decline my request.

They was very fast and I got help very quick. The call was very very short and to the point. Customer was very very helpful and they did not ask any unnecessary questions. They also explain all of the steps that I needed to take. They also did call back with a follow up. The next step is to Contact the Contractor to get the work done, we have approved the Contractor for the available cap of $150.00. Should the work exceed this amount you will be responsible for the balance. This is very bad.

I contacted Select Home Warranty for the 1st time and I admit I was reluctant to purchase a home warranty but I was able to file my claim online around 10pm at night. The claim was promptly processed and my AC was repaired by 1pm the next day! I was so impressed! I would recommend this home warranty 100%. I also would like to mention the service provider AAA Heating was very professional and they came prepared to fix my problem. The service was completed within 45 minutes and my house was cool. Instead of spending my time and money the company immediately approved me for a replacement reimbursement. The amount covers the cost of the new unit and is $100. The original unit was $250, but it was bought and installed 10 years ago, so its value is nothing at this point as it is discontinued. The new unit's cost around $100 and are equally if not more powerful. I already saved on the initial visit, so now my cost would be only to cover the installation. Very happy with that.

I needed to pay 2 back months. The girl was lovely; she was highly cooperative. We did it just like I wanted it using debit card for 1 month and the credit card for permanent use. In addition to that I needed to file a claim which I did on the internet. That too went very smoothly. I received almost instant receipts for the claims and know that the claim is being worked on. I also need a copy of my contract which is being emailed to me.

I like the idea of providing customer with funds to replace the disposal, however, to not be responsible for installation is ridiculous. One of the main reasons we purchased the plan was so that we wouldn't have to worry about finding someone to install/repair/fix broken items (like our disposal). Having to find someone to install this disposal is not only problem-some, it goes against the value/reason of why we purchased coverage in the first place. Installation cost could be as much as 300 dollars, Not a good example of what I was expecting from a warranty coverage plan.

I like the fact that I am email daily for an update on my claim. I’m not happy with the fact that you cannot find somebody to come and service my washer. I know you gave me the option to find somebody myself which I called and told that I cannot find anybody because I’m new here in the area and I don’t have the money to pay them upfront and then wait 30 days for reimbursement since I am on a fixed income on disability.

I called Select to inquire about their rates. The rep was knowledgeable and gave me a great deal. I had a few questions for him. I asked about the service fee which he gave me a better rate for. I asked him about the monthly rate, once he gave me a three year contract it significantly lowered that. He also told me I can back out after a year or two and they would prorate it for me.

Described the leaking under kitchen sink & how my Kenmore range & oven combo doesn't work the oven part & the one range not properly, the lady was rather polite & as helpful as she was able to be. I do thank her A LOT for her help & hope to have all my problems fixed soon. With the information provided I gave she stated that within 48 hours I should receive the provider's contact info & be able to make appointments for both my issues. Would have preferred both of them be done by same person or so it could be only one service charge but I am pretty sure she said it would be 2 separate service charges for each of the problems needing fixing.

HORRIBLE customer service and HORRIBLE management! Total lies and rip off! Sent an incompetent tech to the house who would NEVER show up when scheduled, did not fix the washer, then the company tried to charge full fee to have a new tech look at the same problem that still was never fixed! Demanded full refund of the contract within 2 months of starting this service and still have not received it! Paid $540 upfront for 15 months of service, $60 for a tech to come out. Tech collected additional $50 at the time of service. Tech said he would return with the part within 1 week. 2.5 weeks later still no tech. Had to call company to get tech to answer his phone. Tech comes to house with part then tech leaves without washer working properly. Sent tech video of how washer still not working right.
Tech says he will come back 3 days later then NEVER shows. Called company again to get tech to answer phone. Tech states he thinks the problem was a different part than he ordered and I would have to pay the $110 again for a new service fee! Why?!! The washer was NEVER fixed!!! Called company again and they say they will send a new tech out but it will cost me the $110 AGAIN! Filed BBB complaint; company lied to BBB they would give me a full refund…. Then they said they were taking multiple fees out of the refund and only going to give a refund of $150! I am out $650 from this fraudulent company!! STILL 6 MONTHS LATER NO REFUND AND WASHER STILL NOT FIXED!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! Filed complaint with BBB also!

I am extremely disappointed with this company. During the initial sign up process we were informed of a wait period, and after that time we would have full coverage. Sunday we started a claim on our Well Water Pump. We had a lot of air in the lines and little pressure. We added this coverage specifically to our policy as it's our only water source. Tuesday when we called to find out the status, of the claim was as we had not heard back within the guaranteed 24 hours. We were instructed to call a company we wanted because they did not have a provider in the area for Well.
We called our trusted provider and today they determined the pump was not working and had shorted out. After an extensive phone conversation with the representatives, the service provider, including a manager for the warranty company and photos being sent, they said it would need to be reviewed. I was assured this was a normal process and we would hear from them within 24 hours. After this exhaustive back and forth I look at my email to see we were approved for a $150 max payout, not the $1250 that it will cost to replace the pump, and this email had been sent while I had been on the phone with the representatives.
When I call back I am informed that since it is within 3 months of starting the policy, that there is a max payout of $150. The only delay period we were informed of when we started the policy (which I STILL don't have a full copy of) was of 15 days to put in a claim. We are a military family with a service member deployed and find this deceitful behavior deplorable. As I type this I have been on hold for 20 minutes to speak with a supervisor to again try to understand what WE have done wrong with following all of your policies to be sneak attacked with only covering 10% of the cost.

I've never had to write a bad review and I'm hoping many will at least read this before they do business with this company. This company does nothing for you. I had to submit a claim 2x. First for my refrigerator and all they did was send me $150 (to buy a new refrigerator..haha). I used the money to pay the technician and my refrigerator is still not fixed.
This week I submitted a claim because my water heater broke...I spoke to an agent and received a email to find my own technician and I needed to follow their instructions. So I did...Got a technician and while he was here called Select, spoke to an agent, he took information from me and information from the technician then I was told I would receive another email with the findings. In 30 minutes I got the email only to tell me this: "After a Review of the diagnosis concerning the specific issue with your water heater, it has been determined that your Policy Does Not Cover this issue, the water heater is leaking and unfortunately Leaks are not covered by your policy. Please see section 6.2.7 of the policy agreement. The next step would be to have your water heater replaced by a plumber."
Seriously I get nothing when I paid $987 for a new water heater because it could not be fixed. It was broke which caused the leaking. I called them back and they insisted they could do nothing. I then requested to cancel my warranty. Oh yes they did but they took $75 cancellation fee plus they took out the $150 they gave me for the refrigerator and the $75 for the technician that came out for the refrigerator and all I'm getting back is 5.61 refund after I had paid them in full. I believe this is very wrong and their information on website and the sales agent sales pitch are very very wrong and I will never do business again with this company. I'm writing this review in hopes someone will read it and be aware of Select Home Warranty.

Everything was fine, except I don't understand why the renewal confirmation email could not have been sent out much more timely. I see no reason for customers having to wait more than two weeks after the credit card processing date to receive confirmation of their purchase.

After researching several home warranty companies, we've decided to go with SELECT, even though Electronics are not covered, Mr. ** was so detailed with his explanation that we were convince that SELECT would give the best service for our money. Mr. ** without pushing the product, explained and gave us several options for us to choose, and we did, we went with the three year plan. we don't ever look forward to using it, but, if we did, we feel SELECT would respond promptly. Keep up the good work Mr. **!!!

Washing machine. It quit working in the middle of a cycle leaving the washer full of water. I have been busy emptying the water out of the clothes washer so it can be moved for service or replacement. This is the first problem we have ever had with the clothes washer and contacting Select warranty they took right over in filing a claim. It was very easy and would recommend Select warranty to everyone interested. Now we have a claim order and am waiting to be contacted by a repairman to diagnose our problem.

I put in a request for to electrical service over a month ago. There was suppose to be a company calling me, but never did. I called the company and was told that they don't show a claim was entered. The person said he was out of the office and would look to see of the order was there. He never called me back. I have not received any response from Select nor a technician. Recent complaints to Select Warranty did not help as they also made calls. I'm very frustrated. I made another call to Select and they put the order in again. I told the representative that this was the last time, and if I did not receive a phone call soon, from a technician, I would cancel my contract.

Our AC compressor and coil went out this past week and the company denied the claim because there was a Freon leak. I am not sure why a claim would be denied because of a Freon leak. It seems to me that Freon is part of the AC unit and if it leaking causes damage, it should be covered. What is the most frustrating is that we bought the Premium Package and prepaid ($1,800) for 5 years, so we are stuck. The claims rep said that the most we could get was $500 because we were a Premium client. After I complained, he said that he could possibly get us an extra $200 due to size of the claim ($3,100).
We were just informed that we could not get the extra $200 because of the Freon. The sales representative could not sign us up quick enough and repeatedly bragged about their industry awards. I told them that as a Soldier that I wanted the best package, so that when I deployed again, my wife would not have to worry about this. It did not work out like the sales representative told us. In addition, their call centers were located in India and the Philippines. Language was huge barrier. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Per emails, (and I have saved them all), I am due a reimbursement of $150. That email was dated July 25, 2019. This could take up to 30 days. UP TO 30 days. It is now August 26th, and I still have not received my check. I find this to be very poor business. In general, very disgusted with the service I have received. I have 6 more months with this SHW, and I must say, I will not be renewing. I will find another warranty service that is "highly" recommended for their service.

Today, August 26th, 2019 I signed up with Select Home Warranty. So far so good but if when I need to service it is not satisfactory I will cancel. I do currently have a home warranty but Select Home Warranty also covered roof leaks and I was able to add my pool and it was cheaper than what I am paying now. As I said, just signed up. The total satisfaction is yet to come.

Very professional and knowledgeable sales rep. George answered all my questions and made sure I understood. He offered any deal that would possibly save me money told me I have 30 days to cancel or change contract. I couldn’t ask for a more caring sales rep. George is very polite and concerned that I understood the program and didn’t rush me into making a decision. George should be commended for his knowledge and I hope what he stated is provided by the company.

Jeff did get a great job explaining differences in plans and providing insights into coverage. We reviewed the additional options of coverage available for my septic and well; as along as the sump pump. We discussed discount and coupon objections available to me and my family. Also, chose the options of an extended plan for 3 years to provide extended coverage without concerns for additional increase in price. I am very pleased with my service that Jeff provided and will be informing family and friends with contact information for Jeff.

Sales representative was very informative, very nice, respectful, explained everything and answered all my questions promptly and respectfully. I am very happy with the service I am going to receive. They help me save a lot of a savings with telling me what offers they had available. I am sure I will be heard a very happily with their service. I have service for someone else that I discontinued because their service through the other company was not good so I went through these guys and I hoped and prayed with being a new customer but I will be very pleased the way the sales representative explain it to me. I think I'm going to be very pleased and I'm very happy to be a new customer with this company.

The entire experience is too long to type here. But they denied my claim but only after have putting me off or weeks lying to me, trying to get more money out of me for a service tech to diagnose the issue (washer door exploded) all the while knowing the door wasn't covered. They also put you off so that when you do cancel you only get a small portion back since you are paying a daily rate. Out of the $450 I paid I will receive $14 in return although I purchased the policy only months ago. Also, the contract was contradictory. In one place they say all items needed for functionality are covered. In another section it says they door is not covered. Don't you need a door for a front loading washing machine to function? Don't waste your money!

Their Approval department sucks, they take forever even after repeated escalation. It seems to be consistent behavior every time. I am not going to renew my contract with them. Pay little more with other Warranty companies and have peace of mind.

Do NOT buy this warranty! This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. They don’t want to cover ANYTHING! I have been waiting over 2 weeks for a response from them in regards to a clothes dryer claim and every time I call I get the same response “You will receive an email with the resolution in 24-48 hours”. After 2 weeks don’t you know that it has been well over the “24-48 hour” frame that I was given? I have called over 20 times within the last two weeks and every time I have asked to speak with a manager/supervisor which I have yet to speak to all they do is put me on hold for 10 minutes (probably hoping I will hang up) then say there is no manager available. Again I would not recommend this company to anyone. Worst customer service, takes nearly a month to process a request or diagnoses and there is never a manager available to speak to. Very upset. Will never do business with this company again!

I have not had this policy long. My washing machine went to acting up and I had to have someone come to look at it. I called a service tech in the phone book and it turned out that he was a tech for Select Home Warranty. Customer service rep told me to e-mail you with a copy of his invoice. The water in the bathtub won't drain (only the main bathroom). It started last night when we tried to shower. Date: August 19th, 2019. The tub is about fifteen years old. We've never had a problem before last night. My husband used a plunger but it didn't work. So I called customer service this morning to find out if we would be covered and she read off the policy. She then sent me the email for a technician to contact me within 48 hours.

I shopped around with several companies and asked many questions to the sale reps. When I contacted SELECT HOME WARRANTY the sale person (Richard) offered me more options and better pricing than any other company that I contacted. He walked me through the most cost effective plan that gave me more coverage for a better price.
I have only used the service once in the last 6 months for a microwave which couldn't be repaired, but I did receive replacement value and was responsible for purchasing the new item and installing it. I have just submitted a new claim for a toilet not flushing and was told I would receive a service contact within 48 hours. It looks like I must reach out to the contractor assigned and make my own arrangement with them directly. I will send another review after my first claim has been completed. As far as the sales experience I would give SELECT HOME Warranty 5 stars for many options and good pricing, but as far as the operation of actually getting the broken item fixed, I have yet to adequately test that system.

I have received great customer service when seeking support for a recent claim submission! I have had to call back about a different technician and they have been quick to resubmit and help! It has been a challenge with timing and they have always been willing to work with my husband and I to make it happen! Once they completed the reassigning I had a new contractor within a few hours! Salesperson, Alan was very pleasant to talk with and answered all my questions. Very knowledgeable about his product and presents the information in a clear, informative message. He also helped me to select the program that saved me the most money for the desired coverage that I wanted. I would recommend Select Warranty for anyone desiring coverage for their home appliances including AC and heating unit, washer and dryer, hot water heaters, refrigerator, range, dishwasher, ovens, even a leaking roof. Regardless of their age. The coverage is extensive on the premium policy.

Abraham ** was professional and knew the aspects of the warranty and pricing. Solid job by him and staff. Very competitive pricing and reasonable deductible. The warranty covered the appliances and important equipment in the house. I received my quote and contract quickly. I even received an additional 2 months for paying complete balance upfront. But even the monthly payments were reasonable if I would have selected that option. Knowing my roof and heating and air conditioning with electrical and ductwork is covered relieves me of the stress of a costly repair. Only so much money to go around and knowing I'm free of costly repairs makes budgeting much more easier.

The representative was clear about what to expect from the service. The amount required per service call is reasonable. A service call entails a contractor to visit the house within a 24 hour period. If they are unable to fix the item, a replacement is given at comparable value. However, I did get the sense that the person was more of a salesperson looking to close the deal. I'm a new customer so will see how this works in regards to maintaining the systems within my home.

I spoke with Isaac who was very calm and patient with me as I didn't have the phone number he needed. He went on to question which warranty was I interested in and I explained it was the one my neighbor had purchased. He referred to that buyer's name and confirmed we were both talking about the same thing. It wasn't until the conversation ended that I found the phone number as he patiently waited. Overall a very nice call that made me comfortable and without pressure. We are selling our home and this warranty was for the new buyer.

I got the coverage and price that I needed to cover my parent's house in case things break. I am out of town and work a lot so this gives me peace of mind. My parents are thrilled at having this type of warranty because it can save them hundreds of dollars on unexpected repairs. Especially because they are on a fixed budget being senior citizens. The bonus is also knowing that you have a set price for the repair person coming to the house to fix the problem.

I called the company for the first time after buying the warranty for couple of months for my refrigerator after seeing water at the bottom of the trays. I got an email from the company that the problem is water condensation and not covered. I was very disappointed because the salesman didn't tell me about anything that was not covered under the warranty. My conclusion is that the company didn't even address my concerns by sending anyone out. They decided to deny my claim sending me an email that my refrigerator water problem wasn't covered.

The coverage included are also very nice and almost all I needed.. The service call fee is low compare to others. They also include additional service that might be helpful. Availing their long term will give you a much better deal including a VIP to calling services during the weekend.

The rep who helped me was courteous and efficient in helping me to file my claim. Even though I didn't have all of the information that she needed, she was still able to work with me and get my claim submitted and filed. Filing a claim with Select Home Warranty seems like a seamless process, which I appreciate. Because this is my first claim, I have to wait and see how the whole process works and decide how satisfied I am with it. I'm basically a new customer. We transferred the service when we purchased the home a year ago. Didn't but could have used the service 3 times the first year we were here but didn't think about the service. Now I've renewed for 6 years not knowing that much about the service. I have a claim in now for a refrigerator that isn't cooling properly. Only time will tell whether Select Warranty is a great service, for now the best I can rate Select is "satisfied".

Select Home Warranty's rep Alan ** was most knowledgeable and helpful. His calm, non-pressurized manner was very appreciated and I have already referred a friend to Alan. I wish all sales reps were like him. We have wanted to get a full-protection home warranty plan for quite some time but were put off by the cost. With Alan's help, we were able to settle on a 3-year plan that we felt was affordable and had the best coverage for us. We are pleased with our purchase.

I was mailed a check for 75.00 for my garbage disposal since they said it was too old to repair. I had to pay 100.00 for a new one and more to install it. It took several months to get the check in the mail and calling twice. I had to pay the plumber out of pocket for the installation and I bought the new garbage disposal out of pocket. I mailed the receipt to SHW as instructed.

I have not had the opportunity to use this company prior to this year, but they were very professional. I was able to receive a 20 percent discount and that was extremely competitive. The representative that I talked to was very polite and courteous. I ave an older home so I was concerned that some of the systems may break down or fail, so having this extra insurance gives me peace of mind, I hope that I never have to use this service, but I am very curious to see that if I do how the performance will be.

Dryer repair. The contractor did not fix the dryer or do anything at all, and was very difficult to get ahold of, so I asked Select for another one, they sent me the same guy. He came out the first time and, charged me 75$ for nothing. He looked at the unit and said he couldn't get to it and left. Never would call me back again. I must have called him at least 12 times, left several messages, When he was taking the fee for the first non productive visit; then he told me the second call would be free since I already paid the fee, so I guess that's why he didn't bother to return like he said he would. I had to ask my boyfriend to fix the dryer, which he did in 1 hour. Horrible company. You really need to improve the vetting process and the quality of the contractors you select.

Select Home Warranty should have a list of contractors/plumbers and be able to assign one immediately. But it requires them to find a local technician within 24 hours every time a claim is made? And the technician is not happy or not willing to serve sooner. I made a claim before, I needed to call the technician few times to make an appointment. The technician has never tried to contact us for follow up appointment when the initial schedule did not work out. I will try this time and decide to leave SHW or stay.

Jay was very helpful seem to go out of his way to make sure I understood what was being said. He was very professional got information needed to write up claim form and explained what he was doing. Jay said we should be contacted in next 48 hours from a repair facility. If we didn’t hear from someone in 48 hours contact customer service.
Jay said I did right by contacting Select Home Warranty and not a repair service. He explained that the unit should be shut down to prevent future damage to unit. Reminded me I would have a 45.00 service call visit. Jay gave me contact information to call a Select representative by phone at 855-267-3532 or by email at info@selecthomewarranty.com. This is a emergency claim. I have COPD and heat is every dangerous makes breathing difficult. Would like to say y’all have a valuable person in Jay. Thank you Jay.

Issac was helpful. I still did not and do not like that a Customer has to BUY your Policy before READING your Policy. It is onerous to plan/price compare as your Industry knows well. Sure, I can cancel within 30 days but this creates add'l steps for me to do so. Issac gave reasons why I should buy the 3.5 year Plan. I am now considering if I should keep it or stick with the $379 Systems Plan which caused me to "buy" initially. I could not give your firm 5 Stars because I submit I should have been told by the 1st Sales Rep that the $379 was an introductory offer subject to an automatic increase after 14 months. Almost doubling the initial rate. Issac explained this fully.

Toilet bowl is loose and unstable. It rocks back and forth and it may be unsecured from the floor. I contacted customer service and reported the malfunction. The Representative was very helpful in taking down my information and assuring me that a service company will be provided for me to contact for an appointment. He sent me an email confirmation of my reported claim. Representative was helpful and courteous and explained to me that I should have a contact email within the next few days.

Took days to get a reply then more than a week to get service only to be told parts had to be ordered to come back in another week. The last time I had used them it was well over 3 weeks before it was fixed due to parts being ordered, then to fond out wrong parts and had to reorder parts again! Aughh!

I have turned in 2 claims. Both have been taken care of quickly. The companies that came out were very professional. When I called in the 2nd claim I called the item that was leaking a name that wasn't covered under my policy. I called & questioned the coverage. The person I talked to was very professional & helpful & explained what I needed to do. He cancelled the claim & resubmitted it with the correct item name. The claim was approved & repairs were made within a couple of days.

The service goes pretty smoothly, the agent clearly go over the policy coverage with me and it's much more efficient than I expected. Will likely to recommend to my friends as well. I also compared with other policies from other brand and I think the pricing is pretty competitive. The customer service rep was very thorough & explained different home warranty plans offered by Select & options that helped me make the best choice & gain the most value. Select seems more focused than one top competitor I’ve used in the past. Select seems dedicated to provide the best timely service so they can develop long term clients. Select is competitive price-wise & offers lower deductible than most competitors in the home warranty business. Select has many good review & I look forward to working with them should the need arise for anything in my house covered under the Platinum warranty plan.

Went online yesterday and after much research, signed up with Select Home Warranty Platinum plan. Daniel ** called today to go over my order to be sure it was right. He also explained all of the promotions clearly. I ended up signing up for the 3 year term. I have been with 2 different providers and was disappointed by both of them. The quality of service and contractors was not what I expected or paid for. Hopefully Select will do much better. Thanks, Daniel.

Woke up this AM to wet carpet in my son's room. Figured out the water was coming from the hot water heater. I shut off the supply, but I could not tell where it was coming from. Got out the wet vac and got as much water out of the carpet as we could. Called Select and they started the claim. The agent I talked to was somewhat helpful. They said they would send me an e-mail of who I was suppose to contact within 24-48 hours.

One company kept calling me to add coverage even after saying no ten times. They kept calling so I then cancelled coverage. I had file a complaint with the FCC. That's how out of hand it was. These guys do not sit and call you over and over trying to sell you something you don't need.

I have been looking for a home warranty company for a while. When I first called, my call was answered professionally & quickly. Customer service was great & fast. My representative was very knowledgeable & worked quickly. Everything was completed in a few minutes. I'm looking forward to having peace of mind by having this warranty. It will be nice to have one company to call for service repairs. I'm expecting the process to be quick & easy. I plan to keep this warranty for years to come for the peace of mind I hope it provides.

Upstairs A/C unit is not cooling, we have a 3 ton Lennox unit that is blowing warm air and is not cooling. We noticed possible water on ceiling coming from A/C unit, not sure might have a clogged drain line or condensation line problem. Had a very difficult time discussing issue with tech operator, a difficult but definite language barrier that makes communicating a problem to your company quite cumbersome. Some of the information requested such as type of A/C unit and Model number are not ordinary knower facts by most customers. Should hire phone people that can be easily understood!

The claims submission process was quick, a few standard questions and agent advised of next steps. Entire process took about 5 minutes in total to complete. Seems repetitive to what was entered on online claims form as well. I gave 4 star rating only because agent seemed to struggle with English as not primary language and repeated answers from prepared script. Agent was courteous and friendly and thanked me for my business. Certainly hope the repair process is simple and fair.

We’ve experiences several problems with this warranty company. Although Select does a good job of promptly assigning a technician to your claim, the quality and knowledge of the technicians has been very poor in several occasions. My biggest complaint is their inefficient approval process they have in place to address a claim. Especially when it is an urgent matter like a leak or an AC problem.
When a technician is sent to your property, he/she needs approval before being able to fix the problem. The approval department takes between 24 to 48 hours to respond. My air condition is not cooling and the city is under heat advisory with several days at/over 100 degrees. A technician came, gave the diagnostic, we talked to 3 different associates on the phone (which took more than 45 minutes of holding, repeating myself and being transferred between people) to try to get an approval.
While on the phone I also submitted the quote for the repair by email and it’s been 24 hours and I’m still waiting. I asked the last associate I talked to if they could expedite the process given the heat advisories and the circumstances and she said the approval department was closed. I pointed out that it was 3:54pm and she said they closed at 4:00pm and she still didn’t do anything about it. She said my options were to wait 24-48hours or pay the technician and try to get reimbursed later. I had a similar issue with a plumbing problem – a leak - where the plumber had to wait 3 hours in my house for the approval and had to shut off the water to the house in the meantime.
On a different occasion I also had a plumber come to fix a problem in one of my sinks and he took a part to replace it and never came back and never answered my calls. I called and emailed Select more than 5 times to have them solve the problem and they never replaced the part or gave me a satisfactory answer like saying they would take that plumber off their list.

I have dealt with another protection plan in the past as was not very happy with the service I had received, so I wasn't quite sure if I was interested in purchasing another protection policy but after speaking with Michael, he was very helpful and informative with me helping me choose the right protection plan to suit my needs. I would highly recommend him. I'm looking forward to knowing that I can rely on Select Home Warranty if the need arises.

I received a call from your sales dept and told them that I needed to think about it and would call them back. The person (male) was rude and said, "What do you need to think about, you already said you wanted this." I told him I wanted to discuss with my family and he said, "Why, if you want this?" So I hung up and wondered if I was going to have this same issue if I/when I had a claim. The next day another person called and I explained what happened. He apologized, I did purchase this service but am still upset that the sales dept would be such a bully and wonder how many others this has happened to?

Ray **, was the agent that contacted us immediately before we could even get thru the website. He was very kind, prompt & explained exactly what the warranty would cover! After talking with him & explaining that my parents were on a fixed monthly income due to my father is a Vietnam Veteran who was very ill & we couldn't pay the total price today he gave us an extra discount! I had to call to see what the process would be to file a claim for our air conditioner. The representative was great at listening to what I needed and explained to me the whole process. She was very patient as I had to go back and forth to get the information needed from the thermostat in the house to the air conditioner outside. I had an appointment set up quickly, by the next day, after filing my claim. The first part of the process was a great one because of the ease of the process.

Another warranty company called which kinda confused me, think it was Choice warranty. But I am sure when your representative call me he will answer any question I may have. Very fast and knowledgeable. It didn't take long to file my claim and get it resolved. I received an email with the amount less deductible. I thought it would be more since the appliance was only 3 years old and not depreciated that much compared to my 22 year old microwave which I got the same ninety five dollars reimbursed. The claims rep was helpful and very courteous. The call took less than 15 minutes to file the claim. I tried to file it online but the system kept timing out so I had to call the claim in. I hope that when I have to file subsequent claims the process will be just as easy.

Richard ** was absolutely fantastic to work with. Very knowledgeable, informative, thoughtful, and polite overall. He was refreshingly not the aggressive salesperson one usually encounter. Response time is too slow. It took over 48 hours for us to receive an email stating that someone would be getting back to us soon? I even called yesterday, and spoke to your representative and got a similar response, he said that our request was already logged in and being processed, and someone would be getting back to us to provide a status update. We have not heard from anyone, we just received an email this morning stating someone would be getting with us soon. We need some assurance that our issue will be addressed and fixed soon. I bought my first house about a year ago and I've been shopping around for a home warranty for a while now. Select Home Warranty is the best that I have found and has the most coverage. I got the platinum plan with added septic coverage and service calls are only $75!! I got a call as soon as I filled out the form to get a quote, they didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need and they actually ended up saving me more money right on the call. Would definitely recommend.

I spoke with the Select Home Warranty representative Hazel on the phone. She was very polite and courteous and had everything done and submitted in less than 10 minutes. The company that Select contacted, called me the same day and set up an appointment the same day. I was very pleased with the service and promptness of Select Home Warranty today. This is the second claim I have submitted on my home warranty, and both times they were able to get a company to my home either the same day or the day after. My first claim was for my central air conditioner and the second for a water heater, and in the area I live in it is very rare to get same day calls from companies.

Abraham was Great! He explained all the programs I could get. He knows your product very well. I am a Real estate company owner with Houston Realty Northeast. I have several agents I will pass this information to if it works out for me. I always to clients the Home Warranty I personally use because I know the experience. I was extremely frustrated with the initial experience after enrolling. The fee was taken immediately and there was no communication from the company. After a week I called to inquire about my next step. It took another phone call to actually get the initial email. I requested the policy be cancelled. A manager kindly called and offered incentives to continue. I will give it a try and cross my fingers. All reviews were good, so we will see.

Do not waste your money. Placed a claim for pool pump, waiting for over a week, they can't find someone to complete the work. Called every day and I was told that they are still trying to find me a tech. I guess I made a mistake in signing up with them. I was told I can get the work done and submitted the invoice for reimbursement. After reading the reviews here I think they cons.

Very good, salesperson answered all my questions! Added the options I had requested and confirmed the items that other companies had failed to mention. I hope this will be a long relationship and they are true to their word, but so far, I am pleased with the responses and the transparency. Always need to ask about the icemaker, stand alone freezers, 2nd refrigerators and other items which you may have but are not listed on the website. They may cover it.

He gave me his number to call him that afternoon which I did with more questions. He was patient with me when I told him I wanted to discuss it with my daughter. Repair for oven top and dishwasher. Tech. who came was very efficient. Just waiting for parts to arrive to complete service. Made initial call for service, operator took my name and number and asked what I was calling about. Told her I needed repair on 2 appliances. She placed me on hold, I was disconnected, waited for her to call back. When she did not call back I called again. This time I spoke to Patrick who took care of everything.

The customer service was very good and the person who helped me was very nice and offered their best available plan for me. The price for the plan was a lot better than other competitors. I took the 5 year service plan plus an additional 1 year was added for free. The salesman was very professional and clearly stated all of the benefits I would receive. I get 6 yrs Platinum plan at a fixed reduced rate including $45 service fee fixed. And I can cancel at any time. I just bought it and have not actually started the service yet, but so far I like the value I'm getting. I even got Roof Leak and Septic system in the deal.

Martin did a great job in explaining the Platinum plan. After doing my own research, I was glad to hear Martin put some extra benefits (roof leaks, service fees) as part of the plan, to include a low monthly payment. Excellent job. Martin was also very patient, as I was trying to believe the amount of discounts. Already happy in switching from American Home Shield. SHW also will start the plan in 25 days, most companies make you wait 30 days. Thanks.

My AC went out and while the rep was nice and quick, having to wait 48 hours for a response when you have a 1 year old is not feasible. This process needs to be streamlined so the customer can contact you to make a claim and then contact a local company to make repairs ASAP. It is very disappointing to have to wait that long and pay for hotel accommodations because of the lack of efficiency on your part.
