I called in and was greeted by Richard **. I explained that I needed home warranty insurance and needed a quote. He was helpful in explaining what my options are. He was patient, since I needed to discuss the options to my husband and very knowledgeable. He was able to give us a good deal. I am just hopeful that once it comes to using you guys you are as good. Richard was also very prompt in sending the emails in regards to the contract.

So far, this company and its representatives have been very kind and courteous. Everything was explained very well. I feel confident And am very pleased with my choice. I wouldn’t hesitate to refer anyone I know to this company. My Home is in good hands and I have much relief knowing if anything were to happen I have a reliable company to depend on and help me with professionalism and confidence, I know I made the best choice that’s out there.

then the claim not cover. That was false advertisement. When I called customer service they were not able to help with that. Even repeatedly I told them I was told that was covered in the beginning they ignored the fact and they say, "There's nothing we can do".

After purchasing our new home we decided to use Select Home Warranty as our warranty company. 7 months after we moved in we realized our a/c unit needed replacing. We contacted Select Home Warranty to file a claim. After a ton of back and forth communication they finally said they would only pay $150 for the $8000 unit we had installed. When we asked why they were not going to help cover the new unit they responded that we had to have 3 years worth of maintenance records. I repeatedly asked how the hell someone was supposed to have 3 years worth of records when we only lived here less than a year. This company misrepresented what they would cover during the initial purchase process for the home warranty.
STRONGLY suggest looking at anyone other than Select Home Warranty. Then to top that off when we asked to cancel the policy and we would hire another company they would not let us cancel without additional money being paid for cancellation which was not discussed during purchase. Worst company I have ever had to deal with.

Operators have been nice but the first contractor stood us up 2 times. Asked for a new one 5 days ago and still haven’t heard from one. I don't want to get my own because it takes y’all 8 weeks to get refunds and I don’t want the hassle of trying to get my money back. Y’all will only approve $100 and it will probably cost a lot more than that. Even with my $75 it will most likely cost more than $175. On my last claim y’all replace at the lowest cost possible. I feel like I should get my appliance replaced depending on the brand I have, not the cheapest one possible.

Heat pump had error code. Technician analyses the issue regarding the error code and corrected the problem. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Cleaned the filters of the whole house air cleaner and unit was working again. Very happy with the timely response. Technician showed up at the promised time. In the past this unit was cleaned twice a year by our contracted service company and for the last 4 years since we had this unit installed there was no issue. We are satisfied with the service delivered by your company.

Even though I'm new to the company everyone has been very helpful and polite when I call to ask a question I don't understand. Just switched from American Home Shield because they cheated me twice. Saw you were one of the top Home Warranties so wanted to give you a try and hope you're a better company and a honest one. So thank you so far. I don't have a order number yet or account number. Don't waste your $ on this company. I turned in claim yesterday for over the counter microwave. Agent told me would be receiving new unit as they don't repair microwaves and I would get an email letting me know how to proceed. Today I received the mail and instead of getting the new unit I am told I get $90 toward the purchase of a new one and they don't cover installation so I told them I was going to cancel the policy, get the microwave and send them the receipt for the $90 reimbursement. Was told that I would have to keep the policy in effect to receive the money from the claim. So I pay another $38 bucks to get back the $90, if I even do. Rating them a 1 is still too good.

Select Home Warranty was chosen by me when it came time to renew our home warranty insurance as I was very unhappy with the program that was included in our original home purchase. Select Home Warranty has reasonable rates and friendly people to help you if you should have a claim. Other companies say they will cover you, but I have found that the customer service is lacking and we ended up replacing things that were suppose to be covered, and had to wait days for their service people to show up. I feel confident that Select Home Warranty will be the home protection plan I will stay with and, in fact, just renewed for 2 years!

I have contacted SHW on three different occasions. So far, all claims have been denied. Sunday, my water heater broke. Today, a plumber spoke to SHW on my behalf. As soon as the plumber used the word "leak", your representative immediately stated my claim was denied. They were on the phone less than 30 seconds. Please review the call so you can see I'm not exaggerating. So, I've got stage IV cancer (I'm on disabilty) and there is an infant living in the house with NO hot water. When I bought this 5 YEAR WARRANTY, I thought it would be helpful. It has not been helpful. I've used the warranty for 2 years with nothing out of pocket with your company. I want the remainder of my warranty paid back to me, so I can fix my water heater.

I had a very good sale rep. He explained to me all of the things that would be cover, the free item that came with the warranty, and how to add on items that was not cover. He told me all about the cost of the warranty, the service charge that I would be paying, and how I could receive 2 free months. He did not try to push me into purchasing the warranty, he left that up to me.

We have a toilet leak in our guest bathroom. We also have a toilet leak in our master bathroom. This is my first time using the warranty. I emailed the first contact person and that was a Abraham. He responded back very quickly. I then called Abraham. He explained that I needed to be transferred to another department. I was then transferred to the claims department. The gentlemen answered all of my questions. He explained everything well.

We are having a problem with the garage door in our home. Althought we are still working on getting it resolved the Select Team has been in contact and is trying to find us the right person to help us with the project. I have had several phone calls and emails from the team as they try to help us and I appreciate the contacts to keep us updated. They also gave some other options to consider which is nice as you are trying to fix a home challenge.

Jeff was very helpful and knowledgeable with helping design our home warranty policy. The policy offered was a very good price for what would we hoped would give us “peace of mind”. We have had to make a few claims, unfortunately In our case for heating/cooling that did not have any company contracted with them to come look at our issues. We are supposed to have coverage for heating and cooling. I recommend you read the fine print as we were told our appliances were not worth fixing and we were offered a minimal amount of money towards the purchase of brand new appliances.

I just purchased the warranty, therefore, I cannot comment on service whether it is good or bad. However, based on prior warranty companies I have used, Select is best for my money. I will make an evaluation again if and when I use the service. People I know say Select is the best they have used also. Since this is my first trial and old adage will apply, that is the proof of the pudding is not in the looking but in the eating.

The insurance did not pay for the new microwave unit. I had to pay approximately half for a new one. Galaxy Repair did a great job of locating a model that would fit in the old microwave space. Galaxy was very accommodating with the appointment time that I needed. The Galaxy team was quick with responses to my calls and efficent in the work done. I would recommend them anytime.. Thank you. It took awhile but with patience everyone ended up happy.

Sam was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. When I kind of bulked at the price he managed to get me a Senior discount. (I'm 76, but he was nice enough not to ask me directly.) He also got me a15 month contract! I have to see how the actual warranty works when I need it, but as far as signing up and customer service are concerned I would say that so far you are doing an excellent job.

Sam was courteous, informative and helpful. Sign-up went smooth. Subsequent claim has been Extraordinarily long and fraught with numerous delays. After 3 weeks it is still not resolved and I'm still jumping through hoops like taking pictures of my washing machine for them and using the laundromat. In the mean time I have had to call numerous times and send the same information repeatedly. So far, so bad with my experiences. Hopefully they will get on the ball and start providing service soon.

Great communication, easy to talk to and was very knowledgeable. The salesman explained information that was easy to follow and was easy to understand. I am so angry!!!! I spent $2,000.00 for a five year warranty. I have now had three claims. The first was my refrigerator that took weeks to get repaired and eventually, I had to get my own repair contractor because the "Technician" SELECT HOME WARRANTY (SHW) sent couldn't do the job and I never received reimbursement for the second technician. The pump in my dishwasher died on 8/16 and it took until 10/10 for me to just get a reimbursement check of $350 APPROVED which I have NOT YET RECEIVED. In addition, the "Technician" SHW sent charged my credit card for over $800.00 in small amounts and he did NO WORK AT ALL. I had to dispute the charges with my credit card company, again which has yet to be resolved. Then I had to buy a new dishwasher which cost me over $900.00.
NOW, I placed a claim for my HVAC system that needed the coils replaced and I got my own technician since I had no confidence in anyone SHW could send out and I could not be without air conditioning due to medical issues and I couldn't wait the days, weeks, months that it takes to get approval to have work done. So, now I am out another $3000.00 because SHW refuse to pay any of the claim because I did not get your "APPROVAL" first. This is a racket. I will be writing to the local TV stations, local newspapers, all the online review services, and any other review services that I can find and I will NEVER RECOMMEND Select Home Warranty to anyone.

Customer service is not able to provide any information except you will get an email soon. When they do provide answers I have found it to be incorrect like telling me a claim was approved when it was not. Managers will not speak with customers about issues. Contractor sent to house was a joke. Did not even have tools and asked to borrow some of mine. This company will not pay out fair on claims. They find ways to avoid paying even after I was told it was approved. Now that I am upset they will not even speak to me or take my calls. Highly recommend stay away from this company. They are the worst home warranty I have used.

I have a roof leak. Hazel was helpful in getting my claim filed. Waiting to see how long it takes to get someone to look at the roof. I told her the water was visible in the master bedroom. I requested she expedite the claim because it's raining now. She said she would mark it urgent. I will now Wait to see if I get anyone to contact me soon. I will know more about the company's warranty coverage and how soon I hear from someone. Hopefully it will be soon!

I wasn't sure if I wanted to go with the warranty service however after speaking with the representative I choose to sign up. Then speaking with another account rep. I was convinced to sign up for 2 years with added discount and free months. I would recommend my neighbors and family to sign up for this valued warranty. I was impressed with the representatives I spoke with as they were able to answer all my questions with clear informative facts.

I bought a home warranty to cover my very old HVAC. The HVAC broke and I put in a claim. The HVAC repair tech noted that the motor was broken, and that the system was low on freon. SHW declined to cover the repair/replacement because their contract covers broken motors, but not freon leaks. I called to object and was told to pay for other HVAC repair personnel to evaluate the system, and submit their evaluations in writing. I paid for, coordinated, collected and submitted 3 separate professional HVAC evaluations that all state the problem was a broken and unrepairable motor. SHW still refused to pay, when I asked why now, they stated that they needed 3 years of maintenance records before they can pay. I produced 3 years of maintenance records and they still refused to pay claiming that the problem was a freon leak, and as such is not covered. This completely ignores/contradicts multiple written testimonials by professional HVAC repair personnel.

After 8 days with no AC I am being told the max coverage is $150 for repairs due to my inability to produce 3 years of service records. This information they had 7 days ago, why wait 8 days to tell me this? No one wants to give you a name so you can refer back to the same employee, no supervisor will speak with you. Placed on hold over 30 minutes twice. No one ever calls back, I was told I should have read my service contract, employee admits the disclosures in the contract are too long to discuss prior to purchase, scripted conversations all sound the same and employees will mute the phone while you are talking so you don’t catch on the the fact they are not listening at all!
Online records indicate there are only 10 employees, seems inadequate for a national company. I feel online reviews are fake, if you get past the first page of a google search you find many similar complaints of claims denied due to lack of records .... most importantly again we are on 7 days past the time they were told I would be unable to provide that information. WHY WAIT 7 ADDITIONAL DAYS TO DENY THE CLAIM.

Heating unit malfunction. I spoke over the phone with a totally nice and considerate Customer Service Dept female. We have not yet had a service man out though, takes a couple days to set one up - I am assuming. I/we will again take the survey once we have a technician come out to diagnose the problem and let you know how the process went. If we are satisfied, we will then refer this company to others for future reference. Thanks!

The technician did not show up. Now I have to call Select back to get him to reschedule. Frustrating. I have another claim **. Select cannot find a provider to fix my bathroom exhaust fan. This is unacceptable. I never had these problems when I used another home repair insurance co. Please set up and do your job to help me. I shouldn't have to search and find my own provider. That is Select's job. Please help. I need this exhaust fan repaired. When it rains water leak through the fan. The inside may be damaged from the water leak. Please please help me with this.

We were Leery of a home warranty because we had not had great past experience with other companies. However, select home warranty has been great so far. Their customer service is prompt and helpful. We just submitted our first claim and it was so easy. You can go online, or if you would rather speak to a real person, I was able to reach customer service in less than 2 minutes. I am pleasantly surprised with how happy I am that we chose Select Home Warranty.

Excellent description of services along with additional items that could be added on to plan. Very customer friendly. Would highly recommend to others who are looking for multi-year plans with excellent coverage and low service call fees. Additional coverage options were a plus and unexpected. Response time was immediate and being able to call a specific rep to help with questions or handle claims is a bonus. Online tech support helps drive this business and puts them a bit above the rest. From text messages to instant emails and easy online portal access. Not too many things to say negative about Select Home Warranty.

My husband and I are having terrible service from Select Home Warranty. We submitted a claim for the first time on their website for our stove burner repair. There is a $125 flat fee that we had to pay for the technician that was sent by Select Home Warranty. That technician showed up and inspected the stove, and ensuring us that he would come back the next day. But guess what, he never showed up again, no call, no text, no pick-up phones, just like he disappeared.
Even though we have tried to call Select Home Warranty several times about this issue, that technician just used many excuses for not responding to our calls or ignoring messages. Now, he supposes to come last Saturday to fix the burner, again, NO show No call No response. It has been like this for over a month. We paid $125 TO THAT TECHNICIAN, but where is that technician from Select Home Warranty? DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY FOR A COMPANY THAT OFFERS NOTHING BUT LIES.

You and your technicians/vendors are thieves. Not only did your vendor approved his technician for work he knew wasn't going to be approved, but he was ready to sell a unit (commercial, mind you) for a residential property. Then upon 2nd call from tenant, your vendor 'realized' the type of unit currently installed and decided to lower the price. Again, never actually providing actual repair options, just the option to replace. The company kept telling me I would receive the decision on my claim within 24-48 hours via email. In total 4 business days went by and instead of an email, I received a call to tell me the claim wasn't covered. Based on the policy exclusions.. Funny, this could have been resolved in 10 mins if anyone had actually been providing specific information and communicating with the company. And after reading all the disclaimers, nothing is covered by these policies. A total rip off.

Abraham, was very friendly and patient fully explained the plan and answered all my questions. He explained the great benefits that Select offered vs other competitors and the value they represented. He made me feel like a valued customer not just a number. He stated that if I thought of any further questions later I could call him. Abraham is a great asset to your company. I feel much better now that I have a home warranty with Select.

He answered all my questions and I feel I have a good deal compared to 2 other companies I received a quote from (or experienced). I appreciate that he didn't keep pressuring me to buy the yearly plan. He was professional and gave me reassurance that if I have an issue, it will be resolved within a timely manner. This will be my first home warranty for my home and I think I will be satisfied with my decision.

Service was good and prompt. I called in to get my contract changed and they sent it back prompt with the corrections. I had wanted to add roof coverage to my contract and they did not initially have it on there so I called spoke to a rep and they sent it back corrected. I hope this warranty company is better than my last Customer service was prompt in answering my questions and getting everything corrected.

So far so good. The sign up process was really easy. Had trouble online so I called and spoke to a very helpful person who enrolled me pretty quickly. He even told me about better deals than I saw online and saved me some money with cheaper premiums and co-pays. I have not had to file a claim yet but am impressed so far. When the time comes I hope the claims process goes as smooth as it was to enroll.

Courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful! He helped me to understand the plan and all of the features I was receiving. The annual cost was very affordable. Just signed up and I am looking forward to transferring all of my properties over to Select Home Warranty. I rarely need to call, but when I do I need for my company to be there and available and I know Select Home Warranty will not let me down.

I spent this morning comparing home warranty companies including the one First American we currently have. As it didn't seem they wanted to keep us as a customer I began with CCB Consumer Credit Bureau. I checked a few and saw Select Home Warranty had the best rating! I searched online and saw they had a good policy. I filled out the info and a very nice man Abraham called me right away! He went through everything with me that my policy would cover, including "Free Roof leakage" and 2 months Free!
I was concerned about what vendors I would have to use also. He said no worries, that If I had a claim to make I could use the companies I choice too! Abraham was a delight to speak to and very informative! I wish I could have taking care of my auto insurance first to better know my budget, as he also offered me a great savings on a 3 year program! No worries Abraham I have your number and will be calling you back very soon! Thanks for the great customer service!

I don't care for waiting 48 hrs before someone is called for just get an appointment for the repair! I called a few months ago because my built-in micro didn't work. I was told you don't fix built-ins. I called a local co. And it was fixed the next day for $340.00. Makes me wonder if it's worth it. If this problem isn't covering timely manner I will be forced to leave your co. I hope this problem can be fixed soon!

I recently used my Home warranty for electrical problems that I had in my home. When calling the customer service line they were able to pull my account up by my number and confirm that they were talking to the correct person. They updated me on them finding a tech. The tech they found was very nice and reached out to me giving me a time frame when they will be at my home. The process of confirming if my claim was approved I didn't like. The tech said that when they usually call in that the home warranty will call a line and if it's unavailable they will reach out to a manager. The tech stated that they will call back. The tech waited around a while to see if he would get the approval to fix my electricity. We had to reschedule for him to come back out which was an inconvenience for me because I had to take off of work the next day. Overall I did have a great experience. I just believe it may have been the customer service rep we got that day.

Claim/washing machine. I notified the warranty company, email and phone. They were extremely timely, with a response and followup. The technicians were professional and got the local representative out in a very timely manner. The technician dispatched came out in a timely manner and were professional. The technicians notified the warranty company to provide them with the diagnosis of the problem. During my tenure with this company, they have been very helpful. I would recommend them, to others, for a home warranty.

Rep did a good job explaining the coverage. I would have preferred knowing all of the options and discounts earlier in the conversation. Only after I declined did he mention the other options. Also, regarding payment options, the rep didn't have details but did point me to customer service. I think for rental property, this sort of warranty service program will be very helpful. I also like the fact that other add-on services are available like for the pool, sump pump, and roof.

So far I am satisfied with the call but have not been able to use it for warranty purposes to evaluate that service. I can say though that I never got a receipt of payment nor did I get an information packet saying what my policy covers... it was very vague... I have had to call and email back several times to get this, which should be given automatically. I am supposedly receiving it today and I hope that it covers what I was told that it covers otherwise the satisfaction will be down.

Had one claim this past week to fix a leaking pipe in our basement. Everything went smoothly, no issues. Called the phone number and described what was wrong, and they emailed me confirmation and said the plumber would be in touch. And that's exactly what happened! Took a few days to get the technician to come out, but since the problem was not urgent, it was not a big deal to wait. The repair was made, pipe was replaced with brand new pipes, and all very easy.

This was the first time I had to submit a claim to Select Home Warranty. The customer service representative was very helpful. He answered all of my questions and explained that I would receive an email once a claim was officially opened via my home email address. I received the email the same day (actually just a few minutes after speaking with your rep) and was able to contact Allstar Appliance to discuss the problems with my dryer. Allstar then scheduled an appointment with me for this week, which is great news. In the past, with another service provider (who I will not mention) I have had to wait weeks before a service tech came. I look forward to working with Allstar who will hopefully will get the dryer up and running efficiently.

Very unfair that a pin hole leak from a pipe is not covered. This warranty seems to be a rip off. Discovered that a pipe leaking from inside the wall. Someone came out. They called Choice Warranty. Choice told them I was responsible for giving them access or pay them $90.00. So I did it. They came back out and then Choice told them. The pin hole leak wasn't covered and I could add that additional coverage for $50.00 a year but it still wouldn't be covered because it's already existing. It'd would be cheaper to just set aside $1.00 a day to cover your own repairs because they are looking for every excuse not to fix your issue. Just sad.

Guys that took order was very helpful. He apologized for no one following up on the last claims. He promise follow up with me. He made sure I had both claim numbers and said I could call and set up the appointment when I was free. He also verified that I received the claim numbers. The order was dispatched very fast. I received an email as I was filling out the survey. He showed concern. I wish more people were like him.

So far all I have done is report my first claim but that was easy as could be. On website there is a place to make a claim. You just input name, address, contract number and issue. Claim is submitted. And I received notice that same weekend day that the claim was received and a contractor assigned. Still hoping to get the repair scheduled today (Monday). That will be the real test. Not giving five stars on other factors until work done.

I spoke to Jonathon ** from your customer service on the phone to discuss starting a new policy with your company and he was professional, informative, and displayed excellent customer service. The deal offered is outstanding and the the annual rate and deductible are well below other companies offerings. I have a policy with an existing provider whose annual payments and deductible ate much higher. Their service is also not very good and one of the major reasons why I am looking to switch providers

I was able to purchase to a home warranty with no hassle with Jonathan **, he was very patience with me and was able to help me get the best service plan to meet my needs. I was running late for work and he stayed on the phone with me explaining the service plans while I ran into work, than I had to search for my credit card to make the payment so I would not miss the sale which was going on. This is my first home warranty since I purchased my home. I thought I would give it a try. I will tell all my family and friends.

My AC unit went out. I called them and technician showed up. He checked the unit and the compressor was bad and due to the age of the unit parts are not available. Everything was working fine on the report that I got from the technician but they somehow say that the diagnose given by the technician says something else which will be tampering. They determine it was a short to ground which is a lie because the unit turns on then shuts off. Then they told me it was due to maintenance. When I ask them to send me the report they denied my request because they are just avoiding to have to replace my unit saying that it was a short to ground which is not covered on the policy. Every time I call to speak to someone above they never have a supervisor working according to them. I would never recommend. This company is a scam to take your your money. They are quick but to pay you forget it it's a nightmare. Worst company.

I submitted a claim with Select and was told they would give me a payout for my broken oven but they won't cover the labor to install the part on my oven. It's ridiculous. I've been with Choice and AHS in the past and never had an issue like this. I talked to the nice lady at the repair company and she informed me that they have a track record of doing strange things like this. Would avoid Select if possible.

Great improvement of communication but still poor service. Called to Select Home Warranty yesterday at 17:20 to get an emergency plumber to open the clogged toilet in the single bathroom apartment. The plumber was assigned in a few minutes. What sounds great, however I couldn't get a hold with a plumber for a few hours and when I got in touch with him I discovered that they are not providing drain cleaning and they not provide after hours service. Hey, Select Home Warranty? Are you kidding?

As a disclaimer, I rarely write reviews of companies either favorable or unfavorable. Select Home Warranty is the exception due to my experience. When signing up there are incentives to commit to multiple years with option to cancel at any time. This is not true as I discovered. There are costs to cancel that make it not worthwhile. Contractors that are scheduled after days of waiting and constant follow up claim that they do not service your area. Contractors also complain about getting paid from Select and refuse to work for them. I highly recommend avoiding this company. Previously, I had a great experience with First American Home Warranty.

Haven't had to use the warranty as of yet but the guy I spoke with to set up my account and start the warranty was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and extremely polite he definitely knew what he was talking about. He helped us get a couple months added to our service plan without any additional costs. Which included roof leak protection which I was unable to find on any other home warranty on the market. For the price which was fairly average in comparison to other local home warranties the value of this policy definitely outweighed the others.

Dryer doesn't spin. Select Home service representative was very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. He quickly diagnosed the problem and had the necessary parts on his vehicle. The repair was done quickly and everything works well. Highly recommend this service provider. The service representative also checked out the operation of the entire dryer as well as Lent deposits and the dryer box. The dryer works well and if any future repairs are necessary I really hope that it is the same repair service.

Asked for me to give feedback on your automated claim system. It seemed to go fine although I will have to wait 48 hrs. As for Customer service I haven’t talked to anyone yet in regards to this issue. Would be nice to have a follow up call as this is our first claim. This is the absolute worst home warranty company I have ever chosen. I am literally fighting with the company to complete my claim. For example, Following the first claim, we received an email offering $ 95.00 before anyone even showed up to asses what the problem was! Then waited 2 weeks for a technician appointment to be scheduled. Now, three and a half weeks into the claim process, we are waiting for an additional assessment due to complications with our unit. Before even completing our claim and inspection, the company offered us $ 195 and said that's the best they can do! The kicker is the claim clearly states the unit requires an additional testing by two technicians.
I would recommend investing your money in other home warranty companies aside from Select Home Warranty. Their customer service is a nightmare. Each time I call to inquire about my claim, the response is " You will receive an email in 24 to 48 hours". This is not the case. I have received zero emails unless I call back after three days, complain about not receiving the email, then all of a sudden the email appears in my inbox.
In the past, we had American Home Shield, they were a little more expensive; but much more efficient and followed through with their contract agreements. Their customer service agents were knowledgeable and competent. This company is quick to take your monthly payment and will exhaust all measures to never follow through with their end of the contract. At least this is the issue in my case. Although, I doubt I am the only dissatisfied customer. This is solely my opinion, but I want others to know what they are in for before they sign up. I find it amusing that with every response they want to know what their customer satisfaction review is. I would not even rate this company a one star if an option. I'm highly disappointed.

We purchased a home in August of 2019 and had the sellers buy the home warranty of our choice. After doing research, we settled on the platinum plan from Select Home Warranty. We NEVER received anything in regards to the warranty other than a receipt printed by the Realtor for the purchase. Submitted a claim in September that was denied and told via email it was per term 4 of our contract, called the company and requested a copy of the contract. Was told it would be emailed the next business day, that was August 30th. Called again on September 16th, requested again a copy of our contract, was told it would be emailed by the end of the day. I called again October 14th and October 16th still requesting copies of our contract.
Here it is October 22nd and we still have NO COPY OF OUR CONTRACT!!!! How hard is it to send an email. Also asked on October 16th to speak to a manager, was told by "Customer Service" exact words "I bet they tell you the same thing I just did". Was placed on hold for a few minutes until the same girl came back on saying all four managers were on other lines. She would give them my information to have them return my call. I asked if I should expect it that day or just sometime within the next two months? Of course was told by the end of the day... Good thing I didn't hold my breath as I have STILL not received a call back. I have NEVER in my life dealt with such incompetent people and such a horrible company. Guess I will just start submitting claims and see what happens there.

I purchased warranty with SHW June 2019 for my son's first home. Plumbing leak 6 days ago was called into your center to have provider sent out. Day 6 today we have both called 2x/day and your company has asked us the same questions that only a plumber would know the answers to. No water now to the house of 5 people, adjacent wall to shower is wet and now has black mold on it tonight. Room is shut down, everything moved out of it and we purchased 2 heaters. Boys have to shower at school or gym. A rep at SHW today named Paul told me to not wait any longer but to call a plumber as they were unable to get us a plumber!!!!

I have NEVER been asked dozens of questions about a plumbing leak I can't see, waited 6 days and STILL no plumber to repair and never told to move ahead without the warranty assistance. I have written to the BBB, I am posting on YELP, FB and 13 other sites I regularly post to let as many people know as I can! I am outraged and cannot believe I bought a 2 year warranty from this horrendous place.. I explained to him the faucet was broken so the water would not stop so the water to the house is off completely now. And very quickly he did the research and gave me the order number. I found the bathroom floor and rug very wet. I checked for leaks in the bathroom. I remember this had happened once before and the leak was discovered to be coming from the AC unit. The AC unit sits right next to the bathroom. We called the air conditioners repair person and he explained the problem to me. He cleaned it out and everything was fine. This time I went on Amazon and ordered a flexible brush and cleaned it out myself. Although I was disappointed that my problem was not covered everyone was polite and considerate. I was notified quickly that it wasn’t covered by an email. I wasn’t surprised that it wasn’t covered but I figured I would give it a try anyway.

I requested a copy of the contract via a phone call to Select and a email of the contract was sent so I could look over the details of the contract. Called for repair of dryer, will not start/turn on. Did not receive call from vendor at all on Sunday when clothes dryer broke. Had to take five loads of clothes to coin laundry to dry. Had to call repair technician on Monday afternoon to obtain approximate time and day for service call. Will have to wait until he returns to office to schedule final date and time for service call. Cannot comment on customer service, value or coverage until work is complete.

I purchased a Select Home Warranty in the hope of never using it. My AC unit thought differently. I called on a Saturday and the repair need approval, which was given by Monday around noon. Considering it was a weekend, I couldn't be more pleased. A timely response, followed by quick resolution and approval for the repair which looks to be the main motor for the unit. My friend was staying at my house and called me and told me that my built in microwave made a buzzing noise and would't work. She got nervous and had her husband unplug it. I put in a claim to have it fixed and was told by Select that it was too expensive to fix and that they would only give me $95 toward the purchase of a new one and that I would have to pay to install it and that I wouldn't get the money until I produced a receipt depicting the purchase of a new one. I will not be home till next June and will be renting the property out so this is not acceptable. The microwave was only 4 years old and cost approximately $475 at the time of purchase.
I called about 4 times and each time whoever I spoke with could not tell me what was wrong with the unit or why they were only offering $95. I told them I wanted to cancel my policy immediately and was told that if I did that, I would not be eligible for the $95. I told them again to cancel the policy and that I was going to the Better Business Bureau. I am also going to speak with the lawyer on the military base where I work to see if I can get all my money back that I paid for the policy. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in this company.

My boiler system that provides hot water to my heating system and plumbing stopped working due to an electrical issue. I called to file a claim right away. The agent I spoke to informed me a technician will contact me within 24-48 hours. 48 hours passed still no technician. I called back to find out what happened. The agent told me I would have a response soon or I can call my own technician. They never informed me I could call someone myself.
I called a company and they sent someone out that same day. I filed all my receipts with Select. Total came out to just over $700. A few days later I received an email stating I would only be reimbursed $150. I called them again to find out why. The agent told me unless I can provide 3 years of maintenance proof they would not reimburse me more. I have only lived In my home for 8 months. Unless you have proof of maintenance DO NOT PURCHASE!

Good experience thus far. Service is only as good as the repair technicians that provide the service. Some of them lie and try to cheat the customer which is very frustrating when you are working through a third party. This took place in a past claim luckily SHW did eventually intervene to correct the issue, but it was very frustrating getting to that point. The claims department will do anything to not pay out claims. Submitted furnace repair claim and only paid $150. I did the regular maintenance on the five year old unit. Consequently I did not have maintenance records. The repair cost was $1,100. Submitted for leak in the ice maker and without sending a tech out, they denied saying it was condensation or a leak. Not an accurate diagnosis. Submitted for a faulty ceiling fan and they depreciated the cost to replace down to $45 and would not pay for installation. This was not what the sales associate told us. Go elsewhere if you want actual home repair coverage. Total rip-off.

This is the 3rd claim I have filed with Select Home Warranty. I have had the same experience for all 3 claims. The good: Submitting the claim was easy. Customer service agents are nice. The bad: Takes dispatch forever to assign a contractor - I waited over 2 weeks. Contractors assigned do not respond which results in another call to SHW. SHW then tells you to get your own contractor BUT before you can have the work done you have to call their authorization department for approval and your contractor must speak to the authorization department. This call takes at least half an hour usually 45 minutes and the contractors are NOT happy with this. The contractor cannot make repairs until approval is given. Approval or denial takes 48 hours to receive and then the contractor has to come back. I have just submitted 2 claims for payment so I do not know how long it will take to be reimbursed but SHW states in their email it will be at least 30 days.

The technician was very nice, but did a shabby job. When he put the toilet back down after sealing it, he used screws that were too big for the cover, so I have big screws sticking up and no cover. The seal he put around the base looks like someone put concrete around it. It looks ugly. My toilet isn't leaking anymore and but cosmetically looks like a job by a novice who didn't really know what he was doing. Select Home was easy to communicate with and completed the order in a good amount of time. It is the contractor that didn't do a good job, very nice, but shabby work.

I had to file 2 claims as nothing was being done. During my second call I was told not to worry, that the claim was going to be expedited and that the attic fan was covered under warranty. A week later I called AGAIN and then I was told the attic fan was not covered, I never received any emails informing me about the coverage. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told he/she was too busy and that they will have to call me back. Of course, they never did, horrible customer service.

The tech came out on the 10/10 and said he needed a part and he would come back Monday. He didn't come until Tuesday 10/15. He put the part on and told me it was done. He left and I started washing. The washer stop and didn't do anything. I called him to tell him it stop and my folding door was broken from where he was working. He came back in about 45 mins. He looked at the washer and my folding door. He said the door was fix and the washer have to have a diagnostics (door is not fix). I called Sure Tech. No answer, I spend $20.00 when I go wash.

The representative was very professional but too overly eager to close the sale. Lacking in reasons as to why I should buy your product. I had to pry this out of him. This has made me having thoughts to cancel this contract. The agent although he tried to give me the best bang for my money, was not the most forthcoming with adequate information about your plans and cost - I had to pry this information out of him also. I am currently considering if I should cancel.
Secondly I was not given adequate information as to whether I would get pertinent or any additional information about your product that I just purchased by mail or email. To me the representative did great in the sales areas but less than exceptional in the explanation areas (product and coverage) without my asking questions for clarification.

He sent me the contract right away and said to call him back if I had any questions. He was easy to understand and answered the phone each time I called in. I've had SW nearly a year now and this is the first compete claim I've had. I called several times last winter about my furnace to no avail. Not one home visit from the designated vendors. SW customer Service is prompt, courteous and helpful. This time, claim was not approved due to the clogged drain being outside the home. However, the drain is located on the property, it is directly outside my laundry room door. I am not pleased with the outcome and determination not to cover this claim.

Purchased warranty about 5 months ago. Was never told that certain things would not be covered like fixtures and that had to be purchased separately. It does not seem the person you speak to understands their own policies. Was discussing for 10 minutes about getting sprinkler system coverage, the rep assured me multiple times that the underground lines would be covered as well. When they transferred me to the sales department to purchase the extra coverage, I asked one last time to ensure the underground lines would be covered, however, he said they actually were not. Be careful when ordering your coverage because you will be told one thing by one person, they denied the coverage by the next. Will most likely cancel this home warranty company and go with someone else.

The home warranty is fair. I don't agree with the terms you really have to have it for longer than 6 months to get any use out of it. If something breaks down if you haven't had the warranty longer than 3 months it doesn't pay a lot. However it is better than having to cover the whole amount. Value for the money is fair. I wish I had been told before hand that if you don't have it at least 3 months it will not pay for replacement items.

I had a problem with blockage in my Master bathroom sink the water was not going down. I contacted Select Home Warranty who set up a service call with 1 Air Source to come over to my home to work on the plumbing problem. 1 Air Source came out and totally took care of the plumbing stoppage. Water heater sprung a leak and basically stopped working. I submitted a claim through the online form. Select Home Warranty was on it and got a contractor to respond quickly. Unfortunately, leaks are excluded from the coverage, but the contractor did a great job fixing the issue for us. The contractor was professional and timely, and the repair was first rate. SHW customer service was very helpful and professional. I definitely recommend this service, just remember to read all of the fine print.

Calling in to purchase a 4th warranty was easy and quick. The only issue I encountered is that I did not receive the final email with my home warranty and contract number. When I called back I received quick verification of the purchase and the contract was then emailed and received. To date I am very satisfied with SHW since I switched and believe the cost of the warranties and deductible are more in line with what people can afford.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! I had a policy paid up for 5 years. 1 year in I put in a claim for my dryer repair in August 2018. No contractor could be assigned, and I was told to get my own and be reimbursed in 30 days for date of submission. I then had a problem with my microwave and the contractor that came out for the service, took the service call on the dryer. I paid him $90. The microwave got fixed and I was reimbursed but the contractor tried to rip me and the company off with OVER charging for the cost of the microwave and install, never came back to repair the dryer. (I later find out he isn't even a licensed contractor.) The company couldn't even get through to him, so they assigned another contractor that has yet to call or come out and that has been since Sept 26th.
Today is October 17th I still have a broken dryer, their customer service is outsourced, rude, and scripted. This company is a SCAM!!!! Do fall for their hocus-pocus sales gimmicks of what they offer because their contract takes it all back in the cancellation line 13. The worst part is the dryer could actually catch fire and destroy my house or worse lives. To add insult to injury letting unlicensed and unvetted contractors is a serious liability and should be a breach of contract.

I haven't had a service call yet, but I did call to discuss my account with a rep. I figured this would be a good test to see if they are responsive or not vs another company I have used in the past that all of their employees only use scripts to talk and cannot have a personable conversation with you. The two people I spoke with were helpful and resolved my issue quickly. I will update my feedback upon having a service call.

Great Value, LOWEST DEDUCTIBLE!!! The salesman was very friendly and very professional. I am a new customer but I have had home warranties before, I did my research and found that it’s a highly reputable company, I hope I have as good as an experience if I need to make a claim!!! I am a new home and this is only the second year that I’ve been in my home and I will not go without a home warranty SELECT seems to be a great option for the value. The plant that I just purchased with select seems very comparable to the plan that I received along with my mortgage but for a discounted rate.

Repair washer. Customer service representative was helpful.. She tried to reach service tech by calling him with me still on the line. He did not answer, but she said she would try again. She also suggested I try calling him myself at a later time. I took her advice, and was able to reach him late afternoon. We were able to agree on a time for him to come out to check our washer. Everything went great! Gave me options and a great deal at time of renewal. I am very pleased with the deal I was offered. I got deal for 3.5 years and only paid for about 2 years worth. This is a huge plus for me, one less bill to worry about. Steven ** was very helpful, gave me various options to make up my mind. Explained the coverages of the house items covered, that I had 24/7 coverage, if something would breakdown they would send someone out to fix it at a copay cost of $45.00 service call, they would either fix it or replace it. I'm still very skeptical over this, He kept reassuring me, and I felt very comfortable with it. I still questioned the coverage of the repairs like to the Central Air and heating, He assured me that the copay was $45 and that they have certified technicians to fix the issues most of the time, If not they have to replace it. I explained that State Farm had the same type of coverage that my Daughter has, he reminded me to check in on my daughter coverage, to make sure it was right. He gave me his phone and extension to have my daughter and friends to call for a quote.

I enrolled by phone and the Customer Representative was very clear and professional in explaining the coverage/options and so it lasted for a few minutes. He made it easy for us to make our decision. The payment options were interesting to us. The savings and other benefits by choosing the yearly and/or 2 payment option were convincingly laid out for us and so it was a no brainer we have chosen the yearly payment option. We have yet to experience their service but we’re confident we’ve chosen the right Home Appliance Warranty Company. Everything in our contract is spelled out in an email Select Home Warranty sent us. I like the fast response from Select Home warranty with prompt email updates. However, three are two things I am not satisfied on this claim. 1) Ice maker is a very common problem of refrigerator, but it is not covered in the basic warranty, I had to add additional $39.99 to purchase its warranty. 2) The contractor, Lucas Appliance Repair asks us to wait until 28th to fix the ice maker, which is 10 days away. It seems too long for this kind repair.

Good customer service. I’m they were friendly and attentive. They kept me informed by telling me what was going to happen with my claim and how many days it was going to take to them to resolve it and send a technician to my residence. I recently opened a claim about two days ago, they’ve been keeping me informed about the case but I'm still waiting on the technician. Hopefully by today or tomorrow I will get something resolved since they said it was going to take 48 hours max. Thank you!

The customer service agent was great and took all my details in a timely manner. They were able to get my home warranty claim done via the phone while I was driving. I will need to provide them a serial number which I will have to call back to give to them when I get home. I'm hoping that I can get that back to them in a timely manner as well since I have no idea where to look for it at. I'm also thinking it will be 48 hours before I can get someone to come out and fixed my HVAC.

Beware of signing up with Select Home Warranty!! After a year of having them as our warranty company, we filed our 1st claim when our dishwasher died. They sent out a repair company that cannot even be found on Google and the repairman was a full-time security guard for the ABC (liquor) Store and only did appliance repair in his spare time. We were only the 2nd dishwasher that he has serviced! Instead of researching the age of the dishwasher through the serial #, he asked my husband what year the house was built and assumed that since it was built in 2000, the dishwasher must be 19 years old. My dishwasher is only 6 years old!!
The "repairman" also ran my garbage disposal without turning any water on to the point that you could smell the motor burning! Select Warranty closed out the claim with an offer of $185! In order for us to dispute the incompetence of the repair company they sent (definitely went with bottom of the basement pricing over experience) we have to pay out of pocket for another service repair company to verify the true date of manufacture for our dishwasher! Select Home Warranty is a scam!!

I had a conversation with the company rep about my claim being denied. After talking with the rep we found I made the claim on the wrong property (2 homes/1 with a pool the other no pool). She submitted my claim on the right contract and will send me a copy of the contract and the claim on the pool pump at my home with the pool. Was very helpful and understanding and took care of the claim right there. I highly recommend this company to all who read these reviews, the price, service, and communications are excellent.

I had created 2 service requests with Select Home Warranty. One for the Electric issue and the other for the Garage opener. Both are covered in my policy, but they asked the technician to not to fix the issue and gave a $125 limit to fix the issue, I had to put $200 to $300 from my pocket to fix the issue which is already covered in my policy. Now when I want to cancel the service they are saying I need to pay $75 cancellation fee.... Worst Warranty Ever!!

I submitted a claim on 9-30-19, but had to call SHW twice for them to finally email me a Claim Resolution to replace my ceiling fan. They finally emailed me on 10-16-19! If I hadn't been persistent with my calling, my claim would stayed fallen in cracks of their system. What's worse is that when I finally received the replacement cost for my ceiling fan, they only allowed $45 to be reimbursed! Ceiling fans are well over $200 nowadays, plus SHW does not pay for installation, so I will have to pay for my own installation. This warranty is a joke and not worth it.

I was paying $70 per month plus $100/visit thru Sears Home Warranty. The cost went up for both monthly cost and visit charge considerably since I first signed up. My cost with Select when I purchased a 5 year plan went to under $30 per month and only $45 per visit. I was very pleased with how Zachery assisted me in choosing this plan. In addition, I also had lawn sprinkler coverage added along with roof leak coverage which I did not have. This policy is a great bargain.

The first company they wanted to send me could not be googled or found on the internet so I told them I would need to verify the company existed. They sent over someone I was able to google and they did a great job! So after many days and a lot of frustration my pipe is finally fixed. I am still nervous about any future issues though. I WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN! It feels like a big SCAM!! I paid for a 6 year policy and filed my first claim for a leaky pipe 4 months later. They emailed me and said they would get back to me within 24 hours. They then sent me an email saying that I basically had to do their job because they didn't have a repair person in my area that was available! Here is verbatim what they emailed me: "We do apologize for this delay as our dispatch department is still working on your claim. Unfortunately our technicians are backed up at the moment. In an effort to expedite your claim you do have the option of Securing your own Service Provider to come and diagnose the issue. When using your own Service Provider to service a claim, following the instructions below will ensure your claim is reimbursed properly.
1. All consumers are given a $100 pre- set Authorization limit. 2. Reimbursement is ONLY available for covered repairs. Please see the Terms and Conditions. 3. If the total repair is above the pre -set $100 Authorization limit, please call our Authorization department from 9 am est-7pm est at 1-855-267-3532 before you perform any repairs. Failure to obtain authorization for the repairs may delay the processing of your reimbursement 4. Please email the repair invoice to claims@selecthomewarranty.com and include your policy # and the Authorization # if applicable. 5. Once received, you will be sent a "Reimbursement Form" to sign and send back, please allow 30 days to receive your check."
I called the customer service and told them I am not going to do their job of finding a contractor, paying them and then have to wait 30 days to get reimbursed. I spoke with Dionel on Tues. 10/8/19 at 6:08PM and told him I wanted to cancel my policy because I have never been asked by any previous home warranty company to do their job!! He said he would send me a list of repair people within 48 hours. HE DID NOT SEND ME ANYTHING! On 10/15/19 I called to cancel once again and it took me 28 minutes and several transfers to different people and as well as having to listen to how Dionel shouldn't have told me he would send me anything and Gabriel on 10/15/19 at 11:57 am said he would "coach" him not to tell customers that! Then Gabriel transferred me to Felix who was supposedly a manager but was not and he said I would be charged $75.00 to cancel the policy and my refund would be prorated.
So basically they took my money and did not do anything but ask me to do their job and raise my blood pressure for a week by having to listen to all their reasons why they couldn't send a contractor. This is NOT the service I would pay for and would advise you to not even consider this company! If I could give them a big fat ZERO I would! I have contacted the Better Business Bureau and will possibly contact a lawyer. What a waste of my time and money!! Keep in mind I will get my PRORATED refund and a $75.00 cancellation fee in 30 DAYS for them not being able to provide service for me!! I am being charged for them not being able to provide a contractor to fix my leak! How is that legal or even ethical?? Right on the front page of the webpage it says “We assign a local professional” which is NOT TRUE!

I have had 2 issues one for dishwasher and another water heater. For the dishwasher there was a delay of about a month to have it fixed after about 20 or more calls. For the water heater they arranged for a technician, who came over to file a false diagnostic report and disappeared. This technician was airing grievance that the warranty company has overdues for more than last 3 months with the contractors and hence they have to resort to these means.

Our microwave worked fine for years, then within a 3 day period the glass on the outside door came loose, the door cracked on the bottom, the fan cover broke off and the unit stopped working. After submitting a claim to Select Home Warranty, I was contacted the same day and within 24 hours received approval for a cash reimbursement to replace my microwave. I bought a five year premium protection plan. Within a couple months, my refrigerator went out. They assigned a contractor to help me that wasn't listed anywhere under the company name they claimed, and the phone number did not work. Once I tracked this person down and figured out who he was, I found nothing but 1-star reviews, claiming he never finished work he started, prodded people to pay him extra under the table, etc. This is the kind of contractors they apparently have: shady cheats and thieves.
My refrigerator needed to be replaced, once I found a reputable contractor. I bought a new one and sent them the invoice. They said they would reimburse me $350, and that they would send me a reimbursement for to sign within 24-48 hours. A week later, when I still had not received the form to sign, I canceled and demanded a refund. They reluctantly canceled my policy and said I would receive an email within 24 hours letting me know what my refund would be. It is now a week later, and I have not received the email (and no, it didn't go to my spam folder). This company is shady, to say the least. Save yourself a headache and stay far away!

Worst service ever. Submitted claim about garage door sensor, and claim was denied within 6 hours. There was no service call, no follow up questions, just an email stating: "6.3.7. Garage Door Opener. This Agreement covers the following garage door opener components: (i) control board; (ii) motors; (iii) chains; (iv) belts; (v) gears; (vi) pulley; (vii) sheave fork; (viii) axle bolts; and (ix) switches. Excluded: (i) garage doors; (ii) springs; (iii) brackets; (iv) tracks; (v) rails;"
The issue is with the sensor, which would be the garage door opener control board or switch, but the claim denial said "After a Review of the claim filed concerning the issue with your Garage Door, your garage door is broken and does need to be repalced." [sic] I called the claim line and they said there is nothing they could do. I will be calling in tomorrow to cancel the service. Completely worthless.

Kitchen sink leak. My call for service was answered quickly. An E-mail from the assigned plumber came quickly thereafter to set up appointment. I called the plumber and they stated they did NOT have an approval YET from Select to respond to my home. The plumber stated they will call me tomorrow to set up an appointment. Since this is not an emergency at the present time we agreed to the callback tomorrow. Will be able to provide a better feedback once the service is completed, hopefully in a quick and efficient manner.

This choice for home warranty company was very simple after reviewing the ratings. Very attentive and professional Placed a service call for plumbing sink back up on Wednesday and had a plumber here on Friday. 5 minutes and out the door Would recommend to use this service with additional great coverage on roof and air conditioning. This service offers a refrigerant refill if needed which other companies do not. Roof leak coverage is an added benefit others charge for as well.

Clothes dryer stopped working. The service tech came out. Took pictures of the inside where model and serial number is located, and in, broken English, said that will be $60.00. He did not look at anything else. He said that’s how it works. Then 4 days later I texted the technician to ask the status of the repair. He told me that I have to call and give Select a ticket number, before he can order parts. Then, today I get an email that a technician will be out to my house to diagnose the problem. So confused. Going on a week with no dryer.

I was choosing for a home warranty that covers the basics of what I needed for my apt and also was searching for the one that had best reviews / recommended / high rating. Select Home Warranty caught my eye that had exactly what I needed with a price that was beating the rest. I put in a claim for my AC. The service on Home Select was good but when I contacted the company that was suppose to do the work, they told me they no longer do contract work for Home Select. They didn't mention this to me the first time I called but told me later. In the meantime I have been without air. I contacted Home Select again and they told me they would get another contractor.

I called SHM about my refrigerator not working. They made it so easy for me to put in a claim and two days later they found a contractor in my area and a day later the contractor was at my house fixing my refrigerator. Everything went smoothly. My refrigerator is now cold as the weather in December. After everything SMH contacted me to make sure I was happy with the service!!! I've had Select for over a year now. I've always received prompt service, and they make it convenient for you to schedule the repair according to your schedule. I've had my refrigerator repaired and my oven repaired. The repair people were friendly & knowledgeable. They fixed the issues right away! Their service charge is in line with other home service warranties. I paid the contract upfront and received an extra 2 months of coverage. They also included roof & ductwork coverage. The cost was much lower than several of the other home warranties that I looked in to.

Ability to locate a contractor in less than a week. The representatives are top notch. I have a problem with SHW not having a contractor in my area. Twice I have needed service and both times I have been assigned a company that does not service my area and I have been asked to find my own or wait even longer. Last time it took 7 days. This time it seems that it will take just as long. I don't want to find my own, that is what I pay SHW for!!

They have poor services, and coverage. Every time you make any claim, they will make you pay whoever is fixing the repair, and then they will take their sweet time to reimburse you. It takes not less 48hrs before the repair gets a fix. If you want it fixed as soon as possible, you have to look for a technician yourself. Their coverage do not cover the entire cost for the repair, they will still make you pay part of the repair cost from your pocket by referring you to the policy first. You better ask that policy before making any deal with them. Read it and understand it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEIR HOME WARRANTY TO ANYONE.

Furnace repair. The agent was thorough, knowledgeable and got my claim filed quickly. The claim was acknowledged shortly after I hung up the phone. I was very pleased with the process. Your Customer Service Representative was very professional. However, she could not tell me how long it would take to get a plumber to my house to fix a big water pipe. My family and I are without water throughout the house due to this pipe. With the home warranty company that I had last (I switched to try another company because I refer so many people to my home warranty company that have bought home warranties that I wanted to see if they were all as good as the one I had}. My rep Steven ** answered all my questions and because this is transferable and I can cancel within 30 days without penalty, or fees should the buyers of my home not want this plan, I placed the order. While I am waiting to see the contract via email in 2 days, so far I am happy with the service and comprehensive coverage in the plan. I had bad experiences with a main competitor in the past and I was reluctant to sign up for services such as this again. I have been assured my experience with this company will be different and the pricing and incentives are very competitive.

The representative I had gotten in touch with was very professional- she listened to everything I had to say and pointed out the best policy for my needs. My brother used this company in the past and had a great experience with them. I’m happy I decided to go with Select Home Warranty. Didn’t feel pressured into adding anything extra onto my policy I had selected. I was offered a multi year contract which gave me some added bonuses and discounts.

Temperature turned cold and thermostat was not working. Called Select Home Warranty and the claims representative suggested most likely an electrical issue with thermostat. He was correct. I was able to resolve the issue immediately without calling for service. Very thankful for the peace of mind and the great service. Thank you. Do not waste your money unless you have perfect records on your items. Section 9.1.2 is their secret to only giving you $150 anytime anything breaks. Pathetic company keeps you on the line forever with an Indian person who literally does not understand the English language. He told me to contact the previous own for service records 3 seconds after I told him that person was dead. This company is beyond pathetic.

Absolutely the worst home warranty service I've ever used!! I am so regretting switching from my previous company. DON'T DO IT!! STAY AWAY!! I switched to save a hundred dollars this year and now I see why it is cheaper. They don't do anything for you. You will do all the work and pay for it! I should have known. It started with signing up!
It took nearly a month to actually get any info on my policy. I had to call to request my number since it wasn't immediately approved even though I signed up online. Then when making my first claim, I received several emails over a week's time saying they couldn't find a company to fix my A/C. Finally I called myself and found someone within 3 minutes. Then, I had to have the work approved on the spot before Select would agree to pay the A/C tech. Then, when the work was done, I had to PAY IN FULL (hope you don't have anything expensive repaired! ). Then, I had to scan and submit proof of payment and send it in for review. After not hearing back from Select, I had to inquire about the status, again waiting forever on the phone. Then after another couple of weeks, with no reimbursement check, I had to call to see if I was going to get one. They APPROVED A PARTIAL PAYMENT! What??
Now I am waiting for an email that I will have to sign and return in order to approve Select to reimburse me! What again??? Who knows how long it will take for them to send me LESS THAN HALF of the repair cost. And they're going to keep my full year payment for the privilege of having this horrible policy. Don't do it!!!! If you do, you have been sternly but very fairly warned!!! I promise you will regret it!!!

No issues so far. Person on phone was very easy to talk to and seemed very fair when I signed up. He answered all my questions about what else can be added, and cost associated. I also feel that he helped me get the best price possible. Looks like I will be using the service soon. So I will have more feedback once I have my first service call, which might be soon. But everything was quick and easy.

Select Home Warranty has been pretty good, but dealing with contractors that take too long to submit diagnosis and inaccurately diagnose issues has been frustrating. I do wish that the Select Home Warranty company would use better contractors and manage them better so that I wouldn't have to spend so much time following up with phone calls. Additionally, it seems to take too much time between the time the claim is reported to the time that the issue actually gets fixed.

The agent was very helpful. Got help right away for my situation. I call with the same problem before not a good result. This recent call was wonderful. Told the agent my problem and he got on it right away. The company is getting better. Hope it stay this way. It’s a good experience when you get the job done right. Keep up the good work. I would recommend this company to my family and friends. In the beginning there were a lot of people that were rude. Much better better staff. I remember being questioned on every little thing how long have you had your hot water heater.

I was in the process of doing a new loan on my property. They were in my home and asked if I had a home warranty. I couldn't find the policy so I called Select and asked for a copy. The representative was not only courteous but he was intelligent and he went above and beyond to help me. He quickly gathered the information he needed and he had a copy of my policy in my mailbox within a few minutes. I was very pleased with the excellent customer service and I would definitely recommend this company to my friends..

I’m so excited about the money I will save over the lifetime of this warranty! Literally, hundreds of dollars! I also love getting to pick my own vendors because it eases my comfort level as they come into my home. The lower deductible is another huge bonus! My favorite part is that I can take it with me if I move! I can’t believe that I was looking at this online at the time they called and I got such a great deal!

Washer problem. Agent was very thorough and pleasant. Answered all my questions. Mentioned it was an emergency as Saturday we are leaving for a four day weekend and would like someone to come out tomorrow. Was told she would expedite the order. Will wait for a callback. This is my first claim with Select Home Warranty and I am hoping to have a good outcome as the last company I was with really poked my eyes out.

I called in Oct. 4th for the claim, on the 7th I called to tech given. They responded with "we do not do work for the company." Select gave me another tech who didn't do work in the area in a whole different city. We have kids in the home and it's been 7 days. Still no tech sent out. By far the worse home warranty I've had out of my 5. I believe this is more less a scam than a service that works.

This has been so easy. Setting up information online, then getting emails regarding service person and times. The service person rejected as they wanted a trip fee. I decided no, I am not paying that, there are plenty of people around here that can do the job, I was given the option to contact a repair person here and get my problem solved. While I am still waiting for an appt, the customer service with this home warranty company is great.

Made an assumption of problem over the phone and said it was something not covered. How can that be determined with a phone call? Wasn't up to me to diagnose the problem over a phone call, That would be a repair man's job. Makes one wonder about my coverage since this is the first time using service. Most likely won't be renewing if this is what determines a service call. After all I am the one paying the service fee of $60 if that is still the amount in effect.

Very Bad service, no help at all, I had to look for technician, pay him extra out of my pocket, No parts provided so far for over 2 weeks. Not following the contract agreement. Select warranty offers me $200 to replace the unit that cost me $3500 when I bought it 4 years ago because they cannot find a technician who can fix it for that price. I am thinking of stopping this kind of service with Select Home Warranty.

Needed Home Warranty. Response was fast. Jeff was nice to speak to over the phone. This was a need me and my fiancé had to have in the purchase of our new home and felt comfortable with this purchase. We shopped other competitors and Select Home had the best price among their competition. The coverage is ample for our new home and should an issue arise. We chose Select Home because they offered roof coverage and 24/7 customer support which is important these days. We feel Select Home Warranty will be there when the need arises.

Garbage disposal finally broke (metal parts came apart inside, etc) and Select Home Warranty, after a few questions, quickly came to the decision to replace the unit and save me the service call cost. Paid for the new garbage disposal and contacted a "handyman" to install on my schedule, not someone else's. The overall process was quick and easy. When I called, the customer service was prompt with their response and they were able to help me quickly.

I needed someone to check on my air conditioning. I called the warranty company and they were very helpful in putting me In Touch with a contractor. I filed online easily and then received a phone call right away. I appreciate the ease of the process. My house is nineteen years old so I feel at ease knowing I have a warranty that will work in place. I am an attorney and I recommend that my clients obtain the warranty and keep it in place so they have peace of mind.

The customer service representative was awesome. I was, however, disappointed to find out that they could only cover one of my two claims. I was also disappointed with hearing that I would have to pay the service fee x2, because one tech won't fix 2 appliances. This is the first time that I have filed a claim and hope that I won't need to again. I will, however, more likely than not, renew my warranty with Select.

Quick response, very satisfied with customer service in process of finding a local tech to come to my home to diagnose the dishwasher. They advised me it usually takes up to forty eight hours, and an email will be sent to me with the tech's information. Very happy that they are quick with return call. Every one is polite and respectful. Customer service reps are polite and courtesy and willing to spend time to explain coverage.

Great service so far. The rep was also very helpful in providing information and renewing the policy. One way to improve will be to expedite the claims during emergency and have the deductible check sent directly to the company and not the service provider. Also, a direct line for the customer rep is helpful so that you don't have to wait in the line for emergency situations. The lock in rate for lifetime is also helpful.

Purchased home and chose Select Home Warranty for our coverage. Filed claim online for broken spring on garage door opener. Claim denied immediately stating spring was not covered, everything else but not spring. Warranty not as represented by salesperson. Wonder what else would not be covered. Feel as though it's a total ripoff. Very dissatisfied with exclusion. Buyer beware, not as represented. Would give 0 rating if allowed. Held on phone for 50 minutes and still no supervisor responded, finally hung up. Wasted enough time and money on this.

It’s been exactly one month now since I logged a call about my broken dishwasher. The repair company came 2 days again and replaced 2 parts and the dishwasher still does not work. I called Select Home Warranty only to be told they will open a new claim. So now we are back waiting again for a technician to come. I signed up for a 3 year contract and this was my first experience with them. Very poor service.

I appreciate that y'all called us to renew. We have the same policy and $45 copay, which I have found is a nice, low copay. Rep was nice and he seemed knowledgeable. I do wish the policy would cover more regarding septic tank stuff. I like that the coverage is transferable, as we want to sell it soon. We have been fortunate that we have only needed to utilize the policy once or twice.

I’ve been dealing with a dryer issue for well over a month and in that time we have had multiple contractors assigned, including one who I told the company I would not do business with after a no call and no show. The company tried to reassign this contractor again and since then, the issue has gone without being repaired. This company is a waste of money and the contractors who work with this service do not have many positive things to say about them. I can tell you, I have not paid the monthly fee that they charge because they have not reassigned another contractor to my dryer issue and all I get is empty promises about what a valued customer I am.
Their customer service personnel do not seem to understand English and is obviously an offshore company. That doesn’t matter but when it comes to addressing the customer issues and getting something resolved, then understanding the customer should not be met with empty promises and failed service. I would not recommend this company to anyone! Save yourself the time and money and go with someone else.

Personnel were very helpful and courteous. This was first and only contact I've had with this company. A time and date for workmen to come out and do the repairs has not yet been established due to my being out of town at the present. My son and family live in the house but their being available is set for this Saturday. I'm having a difficult time writing 75 words since I've only had one conversation with the personnel regarding repairs to the appliance.

Please note that this company in my experience is the worse and the only home warranty company I've ever had that has given me issues. I purchased this warranty around March of 2019 used it 3 times and ended up doing the job myself on 2 out of the 3 times. They say that you only pay $65.00 per service call but totally not true. You pay parts upfront in which they reimburse a small portion of the cost a month later and labor if you can't do it yourself, you pay full labor. I have rental properties and in 8 years had 0 problems with the other companies. I paid the service fee with other companies and everything else was taken care of. Clothes washer. Rep was very nice and helpful. Tech arrived quickly but unfortunately couldn’t fix it. He advised he will be contacting you to see if the repairs can be done he advised the parts that are worn out are expensive and you might not pay to have it fixed. I don’t know what the next steps are since this is the first time a tech could not fix it. I have only used this service three times. I hope someone will be calling to let me know next steps.

I contacted the company about my water sprinkler system leaking 6 days ago and still no technician!!!! I just paid for a year of service plus the add ons!!! I have never had this experience with a home warranty company. Usually within 48 hours of filing my claim the problem was fix without hesitation!! I still have leaking water and out of money I paid a company TRUSTING them with my home and here I am upset and stressed out!!! AS THE DAYS GO ON MY WATER BILL IS GOING UP!!!! Your company is an absolute fraud. I made a claim for a refrigerator. You sent an unlicensed incompetent technician to my home. He told you that the unit is 16 years old. I provided you with the date of manufacture and the purchase and you are still insisting that the unit is 16 years old. You offered me $200, then $376 to repair. The technician was nasty, did not show up and then when he did a week later, he acknowledged that he misdiagnosed the unit and the unit is not 16 years old, even though you are still insisting that it is. You sent me to another unlicensed technician and they have not called me back for a week.
I am using my own technician, and you are basing your evaluation of the refrigerator on a unlicensed technician incorrect assessment. You did not even have the correct unit to base the value of the repair. Your customer service person told me, "too bad, this is our decision". How do you value the cost to repair based on information that is incorrect? Your company is fraudulent, sends technicians who are unlicensed, seem drunk and unprofessional, don't show up and can't tell the difference between at 5 year old refrigerator and a 16 year old refrigerator.

I set up a new policy with Select and I feel the customer service was excellent to this point. The agent, Richard ** spent a good deal of time with me and answered my questions. I hope it continues to work out. Because I was willing to pay in full and add a few more years the discounts were very appealing. I had received so many solicitations but this company had the best offers and seemed to have the best experience in the area where my property is located.

You refused to send a tech out to diagnose what is causing the noise. Noise is just the symptom of something else starting to go bad (Belt/Chain/gears). I believe all of that is covered but noise is not....My door was working flawless for a year and today it seem to be going bad. I will wait for it to break then I will call in another claim and I am sure will be more expensive then and I am sure you will again refused and find ways out of covering. I can't wait for my contract to be up and go to a company that will not play this game.

Steven was very knowledgeable of the packages available and saved me money by offering longer contract periods. He was very friendly and helpful. Select Home Warranty has great packages and they cover a lot of your household items and their deductible is very reasonable. Steven even followed up with a welcome email as well as a copy of my Warranty Policy. I haven't had much experience thus far, as we have just submitted a request for repair. However, I can say that the online form was really convenient. I dread having to give policy numbers and model numbers and serial numbers over the phone, so I really liked the online option where I can just quickly type in all of the technical information online. :) So, though I haven't had any experience with coverage or repair yet, I can still say that the ease and convenience of repair request submission online is definitely appreciated!

Our person did a really good job on helping us with our home warranty questions. We had a couple problems but our person but us at ease with our troubles, and we also got a very great deal. We would recommend this to a friend. Overall it was very great, and we would recommend this to any one else that is looking for home warranty, or they’re just looking around as well. Gas Furnace - No Heat. I switched over from American Home Shield to Select Home Warranty last year. I was able to get a great package deal for my primary and secondary homes. So far, I have been pleasantly surprised with the Select Home Warranty services. I had excellent service starting. They explained to me the different plans that they had and the cost of those and the deductible that comes with different plans. They were very helpful with helping to identify which things I could cover with the plans and how long the coverage would be. They helped me by asking me different questions to see if I was eligible for any discounts. The follow up was also good to have to confirm that this was the right plan for me. It is also good to know that they cover most cities and states so you are able to move the plan with you if decide to move or sell it to the person that will be buying the house the plan is for. I would recommend this company as it stands right now.

AC Unit repair. Filing the repair request was a breeze. The repair company contacted me within an hour of filing the repair request. They gave me flexible options. The technician showed up within 30 minutes of the requested time. He diagnosed the issue promptly and replaced a defective capacitor. He was very courteous in his dealings. The issue was fixed within 30 minutes. The technician explained the common failures of air conditioning units; this failure apparently is one of the most common one. I was pleased with the services given.

I went online for a free quote and was immediately contacted via telephone from a manager named Greg. I ended up signing up today over the phone because Greg was able to Get me a better offer and walk me through everything. He did a great job explaining the policy and offerings. He was able to get me a better rate and explained the payment process. I am very happy with the service I received today.
