I filled in the on-line claim questionnaire incorrectly; your agent Jack efficiently helped me refine the claim! Very helpful young man who listened and quickly understood how to refile the claim! Shortly after signing with Select Home Warranty I moved. During the move I misplaced my policy. I called Select Home Warranty customer service to request a replacement copy. The representative I spoke with was very courteous and professional. He assisted me rapidly to my satisfaction. I would recommend Select Home Warranty to anyone needing this type of coverage, GREAT JOB!!!!

Wow, what a deal. And what an easy process! It took no more than 15 minutes start to finish. Michele helped me out on a Sunday no less! This makes me feel much more comfortable knowing that my major appliances, plumbing, etc. are covered if something goes bad. Thanks so much!

Roof leak. The Select warranty representative asked appropriate questions in order to open up a claim. The representative was courteous and though we had a static connection the representative was patient to repeat information and questions when asked. I was Pleased with my exchange with the rep & expect to receive notification within 48 hrs from a contractor. Thank you.

I have made countless calls to the PHILIPPINE call center where I STRUGGLE trying to explain things in BASIC ENGLISH. Countless follow up calls, estimates and reports on damage have gone unanswered. ALMOST EVERY CLAIM I HAVE MADE HAS BEEN REJECTED. They collect money and DON'T PAY FOR. Stay away - seems like a big scam to me.

Never use Select Home Warranty to insure your home. I had two small claims in the last three years, and their local representative never turned up. I had to call outside technicians to fix the problem and the company did not reimburse the money. Finally I had to call them so many times to cancel my policy because they were not reimbursing for their repairs. They finally approved one claim and did not approve the second claim, and when I received the refund, they deducted most of money because of the cancelled policy - Never use this company.

I am not sure what everyone else's experiences have been but this has been the worst warranty company I have dealt with. They consistently reject claims from day one, reps will tell you a claim is rejected before it ever goes to review. When someone comes out they will tell the worker to stop looking for the problem and ask them to leave the property without a resolution when it comes to AC units. Plumbing issues--they make up their own rules even if not quoted in the policy and you have to argue the facts with them. Claims are rejected as soon as you file them even if they meet guidelines. Operators do not listen and put wrong info in claims causing them to be rejected. Constantly have to call back to correct issues and argue claims which even if they fit the policy are automatically rejected. Don't waste your money. Will cost you more money in the long run and won't even have an answer for the problem.

I was able to submit the claim online and just had to make one call while the technician was at our house. The call was quick and efficient as possible and the customer service was good. My husband and I are thankful we had this policy when we had unexpected issues with our dryer. It gives us peace of mind and makes it easier to budget.

Ed ** did a great job with explaining the plans to me and offered great pricing on the plans. He was very nice and very mannerable. I ended up choosing the platinum plan which will cover pretty everything that will need to be covered. I definitely look forward to continuing with this company if the customer service stays this way. So I definitely give them an A Plus.

I have been with several warranty companies over the years with less than mediocre service. After thorough reviewing of other companies I only heard good things about Select so I decided to switch. For me the process was easy. I was given a claim number and then the Tech showed to do the job, he talked to a rep. He said it was the best of all home warranty places he’s dealt with. I have already saved money with this warranty. I will most definitely keep a membership. Always. Thank you.

I enrolled on Friday, Sunday morning I was called to confirm my order, being that it is was early and I had just woke up, I asked if he could call me back in 15 minutes, he agreed and 15 minutes later he called back as promised, I was able to think and understand human speech, he offered a one time payment option that I took him up on. Unfortunately I do not recall the gentleman name as it was pre coffee and 40+ year old brain does not function right without coffee.

Select sent a company out for garage door repair, they came out same day. The company they sent replaced the door charging me $700.00. Unfortunately I was lied to by this company, they never sent in repair report to get authorization from Select, the owner told me it wasn't covered. Select is reimbursing me a portion of my expenses.

The person I spoke to did a great job. I definitely felt like this was the right home warranty company for me. He had very impressive manners and respect. He went over everything with me and explained each home warranty package the company offered. He did not rush me and he answered every question that I had. He was very knowledgeable about each one of the home warranty packages. And helped me decide which one was best for me.

This was my first claim with this company, Select Home Warranty. A breaker switch failed and would not reset. This switch controlled the electrical appliances in the kitchen including the refrigerator. So this, in my eyes, was an emergency as we have our food supply kept frozen and stored to avoid going to the market during this Pandemic. The staff at the claims department was totally unsympathetic to this issue and kept telling me that They would try to find a technician within 48 hours and then I would have to wait for the technician to agree to come to look at the problem. This was after 12 hours of waiting for a reply to the claim.
The other gripe I have is that they will only send you an Email, so if you are not glued to your computer or phone, you are out of luck. This lets them off the hook and then it is up to you to monitor your email all day long, they can claim that they had sent you a message and it is not their fault that the issue was not taken care of. After waiting all day, no message from them. I contacted a technician in the area that was recommended to me by a friend. I called the Select Home Warranty company again and asked them if they had found someone, I was told that they will send me an email when this was handled by their staff. This was already close to 15 hours without their finding someone. It is totally unreal that they could not find someone. Most likely it was not being handled by them.
I told them that I would ask a local technician to come and would expect them to fulfill their coverage. I was told to call them when my technician arrived and they would then decide if they would approve this claim. After the technician arrived, I called the Select Home Warranty claim again and told them that they could talk with the technician to get his diagnosis. After they talked to him, he gave them an estimate of the cost. This technician was very reasonable and charged an incredible low price for his service. Also considering that the electrical panel is very old and breaker switches are almost impossible to find. I was lucky that he could get a replacement and would not add extra charges to go get the part. If I had left this to Select Home Warranty to handle the issue, I would be throwing away lots of good food by now. Not very happy with the process and the poor service I received. I was told we would hear from the technician to set up service in 24-48 hours. It’s been two days and I haven’t gotten a call yet. We haven’t gotten an email either regarding our claim. We need to get the item fixed right away. I am hoping to hear from the technician tomorrow. It is our U-Line ice maker.

Air Conditioning. Agent was very knowledgeable and professional. Took the time to to help me to ensure the problem was identified and to explain what to expect. The agent ensured that he was working on my account, and even put in to send me a welcome packet with an account card. Waiting to hear back with Contractor information and work to be completed. If his estimate is correct I should hear back within 24 to 48 hours.

Sewer stoppage. Friendly and courteous and helpful. She had my contact information correct. She introduced herself and asked a the pertinent questions. House is super hot, no water dripping from outside pipe. I called and received prompt courteous service from representative. They are working on getting a technician out ASAP. Representatives are always courteous and helpful. Hopefully they will arrive as fast as customer representatives answer their phones. Air conditioner is not even two years old.

I feel like the representative listened to my concerns about previous warranty coverage issues with a different company and assured me that won’t happen with Select Home Warranty. I spoke with April, a customer service representative. She was was incredibly efficient and knowledgeable in filing a claim on my Bosch dishwasher. I had a total of 2 additional discussion topics, in addition to filing this claim. April was patient with my questioning, dealing with all three issues. If I were a manager again, I would definitely hire her.

I am a new customer and feel confident in switching to this company. It has all the same coverage as my old company, yet I am saving money! I was also offer more savings. I was offered a 5 or 10 year rate and if I locked that in during my ordering, my plan would never increase in pricing each year.

I was in the market for a home warranty plan for our home and researched many companies. Select was rated among the top 10 with the BBB. In fact Select was in the top 3. I spoke with each of the top 3 and was impressed with Select's representative, Alex, who was very knowledgeable and generous giving an additional discount. I was impressed with the promised response time as well besides it covers all our needs of coverage.

AC REPAIR. Fast Appointment. Good customer service. Not sure how fast they repair process. The technician arrived on the next day service and they are very professional (Air Comfort Control). Customer service online is quick and easy. Waiting for repair request approval. Hope they are not taking too long for the process. So far so good with first time use appointment.

Was checking out your policy online, when I got a phone call from one of your reps before I was able to check out the policy. Went ahead and signed on with Select Home Warranty with the rep. When I called later to have the company send me a policy via mail I was told that they were paperless and could not send via mail. My copier stinks and am not able to copy. Not happy about that.

Customer service is responsive and takes their position seriously. Original dryer repair technician contacted the consumer about 10 days after inspection to advise that claim was approved, but that he was experiencing symptoms consistent with Covid19 and could not complete repair. Customer contacted claims department to request status and was advised that company would attempt to locate a new technician. Claim is still in process and we are expecting a prompt resolution.

Pool equipment problem. The lady I talked to was polite and quite helpful in helping get the problem remedied. I was told I would receive an email within 48 hours which I did; informing me that they were contacting a local contractor to come service the salt water generator equipment. I was asked to supply the model and serial number for the unit which was easily done. No hassle or complicated questions were asked. I’m awaiting a call from the contractor to set up an appointment. So far I’m very satisfied and looking forward to having the problem fixed.

Cook top repair - Agent was quick to answer my needs. I was put on hold, but not for long. This is my first claim submitted since purchasing the coverage plan. I hope that all the good reviews are correct. Which I’m sure they are. Sometimes you just never know what you are getting into. But I do have faith in this and look forward to my cook top being fixed. This is the kind of thing that would make it all worth it once fixed.

Since this is our first service call I will be happy to provide another review upon completion of the repair service. The person I spoke with was very pleasant. I was asked what the problem was and she asked me a few questions to help with the repair. I was told it could take up to 24 hours to get a email from service company. I received a email and text message within 30 minutes.

Online to Select Home Warranty. Received a claim number within 15 minutes with email. A technician called within 1/2 hr and was coming over to look at my digital oven/stove. This is the second time I have used Select Home Warranty on my yearly contract. My Easter dinner is saved.

Roof Leak. The lady was pleasant, asked the important facts, documented and gave me the information and time frames to expect. Call back from the original time that I submitted the claim was one hours. First time submitting a claim so I will wait and see how it is resolved, that is why I gave the coverage only 3 stars, will have to wait to see how it is resolved.

I called to transfer service to a different location. They were helpful and efficient. I had sold my house and wanted the remaining balance on my new residence. This was not a problem and was handled quickly. The customer service representative was very friendly and made sure I knew I was a valuable customer. Service technician came out next day after I filed my claim, he was knowledgeable and very nice. He did explain everything to me about my dishwasher and gave me a tip on how to clean it. The gentleman who helped me on the phone was very helpful as well.

Very professional. He was very helpful and eager to help me get discounts. He explained the warranty in detail. I was concerned about the coverage for roof leaks and he assured me that this was covered. I will recommend to my friends. Irrigation system. Select was unable to find a dealer in my area to fix the system. They explained to me that if I found a dealer outside my area, they would cover $100 of the cost. They also would want to speak to the repair service when they arrived on the scene.

The representative I spoke to was very knowledgeable and helped me decide on the coverage best for me. It only took a few minutes over the phone to get signed up for coverage on my home. The cost of the plan fit well in my budget. I feel better knowing my home is covered should I have any issues.

I called in and spoke to Josh, told him our Central Air was blowing hot. He asked for additional information regarding our AC make and model. Told me we should here something within 48 hours. It took about 10 minutes. Josh was very friendly and courteous. Looking forward to meeting our technician.

The quality of customer service is good with Select. The customer service people are always polite, and find the information I need. The amount of reimbursement however may not be equal to the repair, but that is in the policy agreement. I had to purchase a lesser pump in order to reduce costs.

A/C not cooling. Florence was very accommodating while taking our claim. She was very efficient when taking all required information. I didn’t have our policy number so she very kindly located it and gave it to me for future claims. She let me know that we should hear from a technician within 48 hours. Her customer service was very good.

They still do not have a website for their customers to log into to see their account information, coverage, request service or see service requests in progress. The person said they are working on it. I have been a customer for four months.

I'm switching from another company and will have better coverage for less money! That's pretty hard to beat. I'm sure that I will be happy with my plan in the event I need it. Our furnace broke down and we needed it repaired. SHW couldn't provide a vendor who could fix it in 24. We were told of an option of getting our own vendor. They had come out the following day, repaired the problem. The vendor called and spoke with a representative of SHW we received all the info we needed. However I did not receive the email. I called spoke with Emily. Emily talked me through the procedure and I got the receipt where it needed to go. We will get a full reimbursement. Thank you!

They were very helpful with setting up my first home warranty. They got me a spectacular deal for fourteen months and with great coverage including roof leaks. Select Home Warranty had difficulty getting a technician to come to our home because of the covid virus; therefore, Select Home Warranty allowed me to find someone to correct our very dangerous electrical issue. I had to file a claim to get approval from the company but the extra work was very worth it to overcome this obstacle. I had reservations about owning a home warranty but I am very pleased I took now out and I am happy with their service.

Recently bought 3 year warranty that cost over $1000. I have old appliances. Was never told replacement was at "depreciated value". Now told I'll get $185 to replace $2000 refrigerator. I feel like I have been robbed.

The entire process was easy. Jeff ** was very informative and knowledgeable about the product. I just signed up, so I cannot say what to expect when you request service, but the initial process was a breeze. Prompt in getting back to me about claim. I called and made an online claim about a dryer that I needed to have repaired. I was unaware of the policy information at the time. Pool repair. Called in, first time using my home warranty for a repair problem. Their telephone system was easy to navigate and I did not wait long to speak with a live person! She was professional, knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I was told I can use my own vendor, was provided the instructions for them to obtain authorization before performing the work, and that I would be reimbursed less my service call fee. So we will see how long it takes to be reimbursed once the repair has been completed.

George was very easy to work with and suggested a multi year contract to get the best value. He also explained what was covered and said the roof would also be covered. I went with the 5 year plan. He also told me about the extra month for free but didn't explain that there was a survey to fill out to qualify for the extra month.

After only two months at our new home we tried to run a load of laundry, the washer filled...then nothing, after a few minutes of trying to figure out what was wrong it started to smell like electrical fire. We unplugged the washer and called Select to file a claim. Within a few days the technician came to the house, looked at the issue. He was professional, polite and was pretty straight forward. He stated that it had been repaired at some point and that the electrical was shot. Wouldn't be worth repair. The next day I received an email noticed that we were approved for replacement. I am thrilled to know that I have options and the process was super easy. I haven't replaced the washer just yet so I can't say anything about the reimbursement process but based on the service so far I am sure it will be simple.

This was my first experience with Select Home Warranty, as I just purchased a service program in February. The experience was fine. My only complaint is that my representative’s accent was so extreme, I could not understand what he was saying. He clearly was bilingual. It was a bit frustrating asking him to repeat everything, as it was difficult to communicate with him. Other than that, the service call ran smoothly.

Extensive coverage with many options for additional coverage. I haven't had to submit a claim yet, but will update my review if and when I do. There is extensive coverage for roofs and you can ask for additional coverage for things like garage units. Thank you for offering the service in the San Diego Area. I attempted to start a claim online but the date entry would not accept my format. I called in and was quickly connected. Wait time was less than 2 minutes. The agent opened a claim for me and explained the process. The claim has not been completed / the technician has not been out to diagnose so I can’t speak to the coverage satisfaction for this problem as of yet. My review is based only on this call and the space in time that the call is in completion.

My claims have always been responded to very quickly and had a professional from the area here reasonably fast. I’ve had a washer repair and a sprinkler system repair submitted for claims and both were very easy. This is my first home warranty and so far it has been worth the investment. I’ll definitely keep it and consider it for future homes as well.

We noticed an unusual warm spot in our ceramic tile along with a diminished amount of hot water, and the water heater running a lot -- all put together made us think we had a water leak in the floor. I was up late last night and called Select Home Warranty (instead of online form... it didn't allow for detail I wanted to provide). CSR took accurate information on the phone and gave me the standard response "someone locally will contact you within 24-48 hours".
This morning before 8AM I had an email with a contact number to call locally. When I called, I spoke with an answering service, but within 20 minutes the Duncan Heating/Air/Plumbing company in Lubbock called, where I spoke with the owner, Mr. Duncan. They changed their daily schedule to get their technician out early today (he was going out on a 2-day job... they rerouted his day's jobs). Kyle, the technician was very polite and efficient - found the leak in our system, and made the reports.
Sadly slab leaks aren't covered by Select Home Warranty, however, we are arranging to get that cared for by Duncan folks. Kyle left our system in operation today with plans for a team to come tomorrow to fix the leak. Select Home Warranty was speedy and efficient and friendly - did a good job of communicating throughout the process. I could recommend them for you if you're looking for a home warranty company. Understanding - they don't cover everything!

Rep very professional and very helpful - I am just waiting now for the Name of the company to get my plumbing issues resolved. I like the fact that I did not have to call someone, that I was able to go online and create the claim. I also like the fact that they called me the same day and informed me of what to expect next. If all goes well I should be hearing from someone in about 48 hrs, which I feel is very reasonable time frame for my issue. It is not an emergency. I researched many companies. The only one that was responsive and knowledgeable. My sales rep Bruce explained everything and was able to apply discounts where necessary. Overall, I am very pleased with Select and would definitely recommend them. They send you a survey along with contract and ask you to complete a survey to get an additional month free. This makes them get excellent reviews because the customer hasn't filed a claim yet. Well, I'm one of those gullible customers. I just filed a claim for my hot water heater that started leaking (one of the first signs a water heater is going out) since that was one of the options plus the lack of hot water. I just received an email saying this would not be covered as leaks are not included in the warranty coverage. I said the other reason was that there is no hot water but thought the leak was more important.
They told me I could file another claim and pay $75 for someone to come out but if the water heater shows any leaks then it won't be covered and I would be out $75. They definitely did their research on how to mislead the customer. Shame on me for not reading the fine print in the contract but they know exactly what to say/not to say during the initial phone call. Congrats on figuring out how to scam people legally!

I have been a customer with Select Home warranty for around 3 years and I have faced numerous situations where the company does not cover or honor claims made. They make excuses and false interpretation of the contract. In a current claim, they have denied replacing my water heater which has broken down and is not working anymore. Due to this I am denied safe water for heating and bathing purposes. I also have young toddlers that need this daily basis. They sent a plumber to diagnose the issue and they provided the diagnosis and estimate to replace the water heater. The claim was filed end of February and it's been more than a month and they have not yet processed the claim.
I have tried calling several times and when I told them I wanted to either process the claim or have the contract cancelled, they made false statements that I would owe them money instead of getting back the prorated money. I even pointed them to clause 13.2 on their contract which negated their false statements. This is a very corrupt and unethical company which needs to close down and refund the entire amount and process outstanding claims.

My home warranty was initiated only 1 1/2 months ago and the A/C started making loud noises. I placed a claim and Requested my familiar A/C service company that I have used for years at other residences. He came within the hour. I can't believe the many times l have tried to get my claim from February paid. I contact your office Olin one day. One person said my claim was closed. So, l mention, "Where is my check," of course no answer to that. Forty minutes later l got transfer to look into my claim this person told me my claim was still open. I have 12 homes with Select. I tried others like HomeShield (the worst) and Choice Home Warranty (which may be the best). HomeShield won't cover anything. Choice has the most vendors. Select has far less vendors, but allows you to call your own vendor. Calling your own vendor means that you pay for all services out-of-pocket and YOU have to chase Select Home Warranty (SHW) to get your money back when the job is done. I paid 5 years up front. (I should have some leverage, right?)
First, if you have multiple houses, their claims are hard to track because their email correspondence doesn't put the address being serviced, so be prepared to quickly do your own filing. Once your service is complete, you send an email to claims@selecthomewarranty.com. They fire back an email, usually within minutes, with a "response ticket" number. That is the tracking number for the reimbursement check that is "supposed" to come your way. The reimbursement checks I did receive took mostly up to 45 days. However, I have 5 outstanding claims (with response tickets) that are upwards of 260 days old. They are ignoring my calls now. I sold 3 homes and received reimbursement checks (less a $75 service fee) on ONE of them. The other 2 were sold in December (it's now April).
I just had an evaporator coil replaced for $2400 on my personal home HVAC. They said it was NOT covered because "they don't cover freon leaks". What?? The evaporator coil went bad - several holes in it - and the freon leaked out and couldn't be re-charged. They claimed "the freon caused the evaporator coil to fail". If they knew anything about HVAC systems, they'd know the symptom of a bad coil is that it leaks freon. The freon cost $138 to be put back in the system after the coil was replaced. I'm willing to forego the $138, but the cost of the coil, by their own contract, is supposed to be covered. They gave me a $1,000 "courtesy reimbursement" because I'm a valued customer.
If you chase them in court, you better look at your contract. New Jersey law applies AND you have to first go through the Arbitration Process - yip - in New Jersey. I'm about to go through that now. I have almost $7,000 in unreimbursed claims that they already approved and aren't paying. I even spoke to their "senior manager" - a guy named Jermel - that said because I'm now dealing with him, he'd get me taken care of and said he'd call me back in 20 minutes. That was 3 weeks, 5 phone messages and 3 emails ago. How they get good reviews is beyond me.

On May 2019 I called to get a quote on a home warranty. I was going to get a 1 year contract to try out, I mentioned to the salesman that I was disable veteran, that's when he told, "Because you a veteran I'm going to give a special 5 years for the price of 1." They charged 1750.00 to my credit card. In June I called for A/C problem. They I had to wait a week for someone who charged me 45.00 to tell me to replace my air filter. That wasn't the problem. I called again. They send another handyman. Told them that it was a leak. A month later I was waiting to someone to fix my A/C.
I called again. I was told that they were waiting for estimate. After waiting for more than 2 months I was angry, I talked to supervisor Jeremy. He advise me to hire anyone I wanted so I did. They replace a valve, it wasn't the filter or any leaks. When I call to give them the bill and to get reimbursed he told me, "That is not cover. Sorry." Finally he sends me a check for 400.00. I had paid 1100.00. Now that I want to cancel they are going to keep 1000.00 and refund me 750.00. I was with them 10 months. Please don't buy warranty with them and advise your friends and relatives.

Had a refrigerator break in the first couple months of the warranty, they sent a repair guy, he took my money and never heard from him again. After that SHW asked me to find my own technician, which I did. Repair bill was $300, SHW only reimbursed $150 (not including the $75 I wasted on the first guy). The refrigerator broke for good 2 months later and they would not cover because it was previously repaired. Total BS.

I just signed up and the experience was smooth. Agent was able to understand what I was looking for and signed me up for the right plan in a few minutes. Right now the only issue I have is with creating an online account. I dont have a temporary password and neither does the system let me signup.

Had someone do inspection on my ac. He said it would not be summer ready. So I called you all to have one of your techs come out and look it over (since you don’t do tune ups). I could not describe what was wrong with the unit only it was not summer ready. Lady seemed a little short in her answers to me.

I called after looking online for the top 10 best home warranty sites. I called #1 yesterday and the sales guy gave me what he has to give everyone. Today I call #2 SELECT HOME WARRANTY. I spoke to Zachary and he was friendly to me what they offer and cost. He then talked me into the 3 year deal with much lower cost so I am very happy.

Awaiting repair on the control board on the washing machine. Had good response from the appliance repair company, Diamond Appliance Repair, despite delays due to Corona virus. Had to supply 2 sets of pictures but didn't receive word that the first ones were not good enough until I called regarding the status of the claim.

Select Home Warranty was recommended to me by my daughter when our old home warranty expired. I chose Select Home because they have a good rating and good customer reviews, and I felt the price was reasonable for the coverage we selected. I called with a couple of questions and spoke with Richard **. He was able to answer my questions and help get us set up with a plan that fits our needs.

Freon leaking from inside furnace. Service rep was very professional and helpful. She knew what I was talking about when I said the furnace wasn't working properly and how to find all the model and serial numbers. I sincerely appreciated her help. Good so far, I have not used it yet, not sure when I will use it, but I am sure I will use it some time in the next year or so during my time I have paid for starting in January 2020 plus I got extra months for paying for the year.

Everything went well, customer service agent was friendly and knowledgeable, I have two policies at this time with Select, You should contact and speak with agents when you're setting up appointments, to insure coverage. Sometimes it doesn't go as planned. I've tried now for the second time and am trusting all will work out with them.

Home warranty order process. The process was very simple and the sales person worked to get the pricing to the level needed to complete a sales order. After research of my previous home warranty, I figured out it was not worthy of my satisfaction. Select Home Warranty is BBB rated and I trust they will answer the call in my time of need. Bruce was very helpful and explained everything in detail. There are other companies out there that offer services that don't meet the needs of the customer for additional appliances. I recently had a plumber come out to look at my bad water heater by using my Select Home Policy. Turns out my water heater is insufficient for my home and I have to get a bigger and better one. This isn’t covered under my policy but Select Home Warranty gave me a credit towards my new water heater to help out with the cost. They went above and beyond my reasonable claim and helped me get my hot water back. Their customer service was great and very expedient. I would recommend this service to anyone looking for a Home Warranty. Thank you.

I submitted a claim on 3/24/20 via internet and also phoned in for help. I felt it was urgent because we had no water. Due to Covid-19 I am sure everything took longer than normal. I could not wait 24-48 hours for them to call back so I hired my own plumber. On 3/31/20 they contacted me and advised to send in invoice. The Rep on 3/31 was very pleasant and helpful. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the initial 2 Reps I talked to on 3/24 and 3/25 were extremely difficult to understand.

We received a call from our property manager that our tenants contacted him stating there was a sewer backup in the basement. We called the 800 number and spoke with Amber to make a claim. We explained that there was standing water in the basement located around the sewer drain. Amber was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. The process was simple and took very little time to complete.

My fridge is having problems with temperature regulation between the freezer and fridge. I called Select Home Warranty on a Sunday and their service was great, even during the crisis. I have used this home warranty for 3 years and decided to use them for 3 more. That's how good they've been. The claims process is incredibly simple. Plus, you can't beat the value and discounts available. This is one less thing to need worrying about. It's a simple decision on our part and it should be a no brainer on your part. Their platinum plan exceeded my expectations and covers quite a bit of extras.

24-48 hours is a long time to wait for an A/C fix in the south. I wish they could fix it quicker. I asked the representative and he was not very understanding. I like the price of the coverage but I also need my A/C fixer quickly considering I'm a single mom and it's getting hot outside.

Toilet is backing up. Looks like dirt in toilet. Toilet is unusable at this time. Received an email stating that we are waiting on call from plumber in my area. Said it would take up to 48 hours. Customer representative was very professional and detailed in his explanation. So far everything sounded good.

It has been 1 1/2 months since my first call for 2 running toilets and they still have not been repaired. Technician who came was unable to solve the problem after making two trips. He took apart the toilet, replaced a couple of parts and at the end told me that the drain is probably clogged or my septic should be cleaned. I explained to him that the septic tank was just cleaned last year and I called for running toilets not clogged. I am dismayed that this issue has still not been resolved.

I had a microwave over $300.00 not even 2 years old, mother board went out, I was only told I could have 95.00 credit and it will be 30 before a check is even written to send back to me and if I cancel with them I will be penalized. This is the sorriest company I've ever dealt with on home warranty, you bet your bottom dollar I will not renew with them

We just join but have not made a claim or used the service as of yet because we don’t have any issues at this time. Customer care was helpful and explained everything very well. We signed up and willing to give them a try. We got our emails extremely prompt. It takes 30 days to get coverage in effect. I am changing companies and did not realize this requirement.

Refrigerator repair. On time, good service even though the led burnt out light not covered, too bad. Did take you a little more time than expected to inform me that burnt out led lights/module not covered. I fully expected that you would cover part of the service call but not all of it. Shame too, your sales people rave about your quality of service. Guess I found out what to expect if I ever have to use you all again.

Customer service was prompt to answer the call. Offered a deal right away. Correction... After I mentioned a coupon - I was offered a good deal. LOL. So far so good. Only bought warranty to help sell a home. To my knowledge it worked offering this warranty. I like the 14 months of coverage.

I called to get help with a broken ceiling fan. The man that helped me was very knowledgeable and did treated me very well. He explained the process and helped me through it it to best serve my needs. It was well planned out and they kept me in the loop throughout the process. Needs to be replaced or fixed. You decided to just replace it which we did. You gave us the amount of a new one which was fine. !!!! It all worked out fine and am very pleased. Not much else to say.

Everything went ok with the call. I asked for a quote and it was provided. I had a few more questions and the representative answered them with no problems. He also stated that I would receive everything by email within a few minutes and by the time he and I hung up and I logged into my account the email was there as he stated. I got the opportunity to read over the policies and procedures to get a better understanding of the platinum package and how it works.

The unit is running outside and inside but the house is not cooling. I have checked everything and have no idea why it's not working. I placed a service call at 7am. I received an e-mail acknowledgement and a text to select dates and times for repair within 4 hours of my claim. That was fast.

Original Review: After finding out my home warranty rate with a competitor was about to increase significantly, I started researching other options. As soon as I put in my info for a quote, a representative from Select called me and it was a done deal. For the coverage and service they offer, Select is a great value for any homeowner.

My complaint is a truth and really more "transparency" in advertising with Select Home Warranty. Throughout there whole policy and advertising they claim that you can file a claim after 30 days of signing up. Here is the excerpt from the website: "Our home warranty policies have a 30 day wait period." My thermostat stopped working after about 45 or so days after I started the policy and a service technician came out after I paid the $75 fee. The tech informed me that a part needed to be replaced. The Tech called me the next day and informed me that SHW will not cover the replacemnt part.
When I called to find out why, all of a sudden they told me to read the fine print... Stating that my item can be repaired but they do not cover 'replacements' parts until after the policy was active for 60 days so I'm out of luck. The company advertise 30 day wait period but please read fine print as they will definitely tell you when it's time to get your item fixed. False advertisement on Select Warranty's part. I will be cancelling my warranty.

Left multiple voicemail for the A/C repair company but unable to set up appt.for the repair. I called back the operator wiill dispatch a different company for me to call set up a appt. for the repair job in 48 hours. The customer rep. was extremely courteous, helpful. Cool Baby Air the initial tech. called. Explained unable to come because he just had heart surgery 2 weeks ago. Do not have any other tech. to cover the claim. He did go over some of the potential problems can cause the air conditioner unit to not blowing cool air. He did offer advices and consultations if needed in the follow up for the repair job.

The person I spoke with worked with me to get a plan that fit me and my family budget yet covered items in my home I needed. I did not like that I was contacted a second time by the company to sign up a day later like they did not know I was already a customer.
