Great customer service. I'm a new customer and cannot wait to use their service. I may need for many more years for a peace of mine. I want to repair all the system in the house especially the roof. A representative will answer any question right away and is professional.

Dishwasher not cycling. The service was excellent. The main issue I have is that this property is a rental in Colorado and I live in Texas. This is my second claim and in each case I specifically requested that my tenant be contacted (name and phone number provided) so an appointment could be made. In both cases I was contacted by the service company (different ones each time) requesting an appointment time. Obviously I have no idea what is the best time for the tenant. A correction of this item would go a long way in my increasing my rating.

Made my claims call and the Rep. Mike was very friendly and nice and helpful. He took all my information and I got an email a few minutes later to select good times for appointment. Very happy with my first call. Now waiting to get appointment set up to get dryer looked at. Definitely will recommend this service to all my friends.

Requested that my New Policy documents be sent to me by email. The representative was kind and helpful and did so. However, Value and Service of this policy is unknown as I'm a new customer at this time. Alex the sale representative was also very helpful. I just hope that they have corrected the spelling of my last name. As that turns out to be the reason I didn't received my documents the first.

Everyone answered my call right away and were very polite, I ended up getting an email that I can hire my own contractor which I will probably do. I will get on that today to see if I can find someone. I received the email as soon as I filed the claim and even on a weekend.

The Select Home Warranty is wonderful. I paid a yearly fee and it covers almost every appliance, wiring, plumbing, and my well pump. I pay a low service fee if I need something fixed. This time I got to choose the Company to fix my well pump. Select worked with the repair co. and my problem was swiftly solved.

I enjoyed discussing the plan with the sales person. It was informative, and helpful. The representative was also flexible and checked often with his supervisors to make sure he was making the best offer available. I am looking forward to a pleasant experience because I had contracted in the past with a competitor and the vendors they contracted with to do the work were pretty shabby.

I called to report my A/C was not working. The rep was very helpful trying to find a repair person. So far I have not been able to find one in this area. However they are still trying to help me. I would recommend this company to anyone for doing a good.

Drain pipe leaking inside wall. The answering service was easy to follow and a representative answered right away. I had a question on the coverage and was transferred since she did not know the answer. No one picked up and it continued to ring after a message stating there was a high call volume. It may have also been because it was after 5pm on a Friday. My claim was filed successfully though and I got the confirmation email right away.

Roof leak. This is the first time I have called in to file a claim and they made the process easy. I received an e-mail afterwards telling me my claim was being forwarded to find a technician to complete then repairs. They provided a time frame for when I should have information on the technician. We will see how things go after that.

I am very happy with Select Home Warranty. They sent out Fix It Service right away and were able to service my furnace on the spot! Fix It was very insightful and even came back in the spring to replace a part that they noticed over the winter. They were fair and honest. I feel confident in their work and would be happy to call them both again.

Abraham was able to explain the items that were covered with this plan. The price was excellent also! I had used American Home shield before but this plan was more comprehensive and cheaper. I hope I will have many years of service. I like that you can get service on weekends and holidays.

I called 5/28/20 to inquire about a home warranty. (just shopping) Spoke with Alan ** whom was very polite and helpful. He was able to give me a 6 yr. Warranty for a little more than the 3 yr. I purchased a home warranty for the first time w/ my new home last August. My dishwasher had a heating/drying issue in Feb so this was my first opportunity to take advantage of my new Select Home Warranty. It is now May 29th and I have zero resolution to my issue after them scheduling 3 different repair companies. Only 1 of the 3 bothered to show up and all they did was collect the $45 call out fee and never ordered parts or came back. I have talked to no less than 7 people at Select home warranty when asking for supervisors and never get anyone that is helpful. I am on hold right how as I type this trying to cancel my policy and of course they are making that as difficult as possible even though I paid for 18 months upfront...yea I know...dumb move. Don't make the same mistake I did, stay away from Select Home Warranty!

I am having trouble getting an appliance repair technician out to my house to fix my clothes washer. However, all of your associates have been very helpful while attempting to resolve my issue. My washer stopped working a week ago. It was a three day weekend for Memorial Day. A repair company was dispatched Saturday, just a day after I filed a claim. So on Tuesday morning I tried contacting that company with no success. I called SHW & the person I spoke with successfully reached the repair company. The company owner ultimately said he would be at my house the next day. I had to call him the next day to confirm that he would get parts to repair the washer and he would call me back. No call came so I called him again and he told me the parts had to be shipped in from Dallas and could I wait till Thursday when the parts came in. I agreed.
Didn’t hear from him by 1:00pm Thursday so I called again. He said he would verify that the parts were in & call me right back. He didn’t call back. I spoke with SHW associate and she said that you would find another company. You are keeping me in the loop by email about the progress being made to dispatch another company. Y’all have been very attentive helping to resolve my issue but a week later, I am still without my washer. Very inconvenient. Thank you for the effort.

Our Air conditioning was not cooling. Select Home Warranty responded very quickly to my request and sent a good repairman to my home to fix our problem with air conditioner without delay. I would recommend Select Home Warranty to any home owner to save on the cost of their repairs.

It was quick and easy. Sales Rep went over discounts with me and found a multi year plan that would work with my budget. I am tired of doing my own repairs around the home. I figure I might as well let someone else do it for me. So this seems like it will save me a bunch of time and a bunch of money if anything breaks down or quits on me.

So frustrated with our other company trying to weasel out of major repairs with their policy which says one thing then the opposite. This salesman knew his stuff, was personable and delivered what I needed in a policy 70% of the price, giving me three options, in a quick space of time. Though he did forget to send the email..

Greg ** took care of me on yesterday with such ease, I wish all companies operated this way. If you own a home this is a must and well worth every penny spent. I plan on getting a plan for the two homes I own so it alleviates the stress of having to worry when things stop working and find a company to do repairs. He said It usually takes 48 hours. We hope That we can continue Select Warranty next year. Repairman had a mask on plus gloves, was very neat on taking drying apart and putting dryer back together.

I would say this was my call and first try and the person who helped me was able to understand fully the requirements and have options that was flexible with me. I would highly recommend them. The call representative was quick, thorough and straight to the point. The transaction was simple and fast! When speaking to other agencies, they try to upsell. The value on this warranty should be better than the one I am replacing now. I only wish there was a military discount or something similar, but the value will be good at any rate.

I have had this company for a year. What I like best about this company is the low deductibles. If you are looking for a company with low deductibles, Select Home Warranty is a good choice. All other company that I looked at had higher deductibles and higher premiums. Select has did a great job fixing my washer, toilet, lights, and garage. The only claim they did not cover was my AC unit.

The batteries went out in the thermostat and after they were changed the Air Conditioning Unit outside would not engaged when prompted. I put a ticket in to Select at 8:50a, at 9:00a selected a time that worked, 1130a the repair service was at my door, and everything was fixed by 1p. It cost $210 for the service call and repair. After having two calls within the last year they have been prompt to solve the problem but every time something was not covered in the home warranty contract which ended up costing more than just the service call.

Hot water tank leak. I believe the person I spoke with was probably not in the US, but I didn't have a problem understanding her. I told her that I had already made arrangements with the company that installed the heater to have it changed. She gave me the info that the installer would need to have ready when he called in.

I would give 5 stars for prompt and courteous service. I cannot rate use of the warranty as I have not used it. The reception during our phone conversation was horrible and I could hardly understand a word that was being said. I’ve had Select in the past and have always been happy with the services.

I have opened a service claim more than a day back and still waiting for it to get assigned. I have experience with other warranty company and find their response time better than SHW. I have first time experience with SHW, so hoping to get it better next time. Guy on the phone was not very polite and cooperative.

I was denied coverage. When I signed up, I was told lawn sprinkler systems were covered. I had unknown reasons for leaking pipes and SHW denied repair stating causes weren't covered. The tech said the cause could be age, tree root, it was all unknown. SHW position was they don't cover this and it's not considered "Wear and tear". Really frustrating.

Dishwasher. I have been very pleased at the prompt response. The technician was at my house and assessed the problem quickly. Everyone I have been in contact with has been very professional. I have had other services that did not have the same coverage. I am a single woman 64 years old and live on a retirement. This plan is perfect for me, so I do not have a lot of out of pocket expenses. I am very happy with the coverage of my plan and will keep it. I recommend this plan to anyone who owned a home.

We bought a 5 year plan for a rental property with aged systems and appliances. AC capacitor went out, I started a claim, called the company of my choice, claim was approved, simple and easy. As a Realtor I always suggest a warranty as an option, now I can feel confident recommending Select.

Enrolled over a month ago and just had air conditioner unit stop functioning. Called on Sat., this is Thurs. No contractor came. Had personal friend to look at unit and get it running. Very disappointed after I left one company that displeased to this one. Cancelled claim until it malfunctions again.

Plumbing valve in bath keeping water running. Member was able to discuss coverage. Member was able to email coverage that wasn’t originally sent. Plan thinks it's the fixture. It currently is a valve that's preventing water from stopping. Member took information asked and told me to wait between 24 to 47 hours to hear back about coverage.

Customer Service Rep was pleasant and helpful. Explained how the process will work. Visit with a minor cost replacement of garbage disposal. Informed me of the no contact. Gave me order number for reference. Notified me that I will need to replace the item itself as well as send the paid invoice for reimbursement. Sent me a confirmation email as well.

I was with American Home Shield previously and thought they were terrible to deal with. Select Home Warranty is just as bad, maybe worse. I have a dishwasher that needs to be repaired ~ they could not find a company to service me so told me to hire my own. I did and the estimate came back that the pump assembly is bad. Select then contacted me and told me the issue is covered under a recall. I have literally spent all morning dealing with this.
There is NO recall on my dishwasher and in fact, the only recall Bosch has out right now is on a power cord. However, even IF my dishwasher was one of the models needing the recall (it's not, the power cord is fine), THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PUMP BEING BAD. Now I am being told I need to call Bosch back (I spent over an hour with them on the phone, I don't have time for this nonsense) and get proof that my dishwasher's power cord is not under recall. EVEN IF IT WAS (which it isn't), THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PUMP AND WON'T BE COVERED. I was just on the line with Select, was put on hold and then disconnected, after spending another 30 minutes on the phone with them. TERRIBLE COMPANY! Do not do business with them!

My hot water heater unexpectedly went out and I didn't have a copy of my warranty policy. The claims rep was able to look up my account and submit the claim for me. He is also emailing me a copy of my warranty contract. I received very good service, especially since it was 7:30AM! I would recommend them.

Due to fraud captured on my debit card. My bank froze my card. I realized when a notice came to me that Select wasn't able to process my payment. I called billing and they cleared up any problems. As the call was closing I said I needed to submit a claim. The person said he vfc could do that for me. This was my first claim & he walked me through the process step by step. I had an appointment made for next day to look at my appliances. That is why I gave 5 stars.

Representative mentioned the yearly subscription but when I told him I couldn’t afford that, he didn’t push the issue. I found this to be very respectful. He offered me a 3 month payment plan but I informed him that I was in the process of replacing an ac unit.

Tom was professional and informative. Explained options and costs. Chose to stay with annual policy and annual cost which included two months additional as part of the policy. Have not made a claim so I don’t have any information on how their contractors will perform. I’ll assume that the contractor will be better than other companies that provide warranties.

Dryer. This time was a great result! I went and got my own service repair. The one they sent was terrible. Waited over a month and would never return calls! I would call several times a day and never return calls and never kept their word say they would call back with a time! Never did! (Appliance One, I would not recommend them!) I shopped around for a couple different plans and Select seems to have pretty good coverage for the price. I did call for 1 or 2 things throughout the year which was covered through the $60 service fee. I have not had to have anything replaced yet. The renewal process was quick and easy though they do tend to call once per day towards the end of the contract to get you to renew which can be annoying.

My refrigerator claim was denied not knowing I had a 5 day grace period before I could file a claim. After speaking with a supervisor, without going in to details, I was able file another claim that was approved. They did not have to do this being that my contract clearly stated the details about the grace period. Also, they waived the deductible. This company is awesome!

We had a plumbing issue and they stated they would not be able to have someone out for 24 to 48 hours. When I asked if I was allowed to call my own company and have them come out they complied. I had called and filed a claim on the oven. I had my own technician but Select went ahead and assigned me one anyway. I called and cancelled the technician but they inadvertently cancelled the whole claim. My technician hurt his back and is not able to do it so I called the company that Select had scheduled to come out and found out the the work order had been totally cancelled so I had it reinstated and they are now finding another technician to come out to look at the oven.

I submitted a claim early on May 18, the assigned technician assigned by SHW finally arrived the afternoon of May 20. He was in the process of getting approval from SHW and was disconnected. He called back and told me they had declined the service and left. I called SHW and was told they needed info from the technician and would follow up with me.
On May 23, I called Select Home warranty and again was told they needed information from the technician that they had contacted to come work on my hot water heater. Finally on May 25, after another call, I was told that the technician they had sent wasn’t doing work for them and they authorized me to contact an independent technician that came that afternoon and repaired the heater. SHW has approved the payment to the independent contractor, but they need to ensure that company’s they contract with are reputable and get the repairs done. I will give SHW kudos for quick customer service regarding the phone representative.

I have multiple plumbing problems in my master bath and they require each problem to be submitted separately and ONLY then will they address each claim. You must call back for each claims to get a decision. The customer service person is reading from a scripted statement and repeats herself multiple times. I had a sudden ceiling leak that I noticed on May 26 2020. I called the 24/7 helpline number. The wait time was long. Around 37 mins even though the system claimed that wait time would be 10 mins around 4 times. But when the customer service rep finally got on the phone the process of filing the claim was an extremely easy and the customer rep was extremely helpful and courteous.

Garage Door repair. The process of getting repair approval was a little more complicated than expected. When my email request was not answered in a timely manner, I had to eventually call repair service myself and even then, approval was delayed until after repairs made. The repairs were eventually approved after the fact. Though the process was time intensive, I eventually had the repairs approved and hope for a reimbursement check to arrive soon.

My account servicer, Issac, was very helpful. He answered all of my questions clearly, offered me discounts based on my individual specifications, and made enrolling very easy. I chose to be covered for 3 and a half years for under $2,000 which locked in my rate for life. Service calls will be $60 permanently. I have yet to submit a claim yet, but there is no age limit to what they will cover and you can make unlimited claims, and they also had free roof leakage coverage.

On April 16th I submitted a claim for an outlet that quit working. By the next morning I’d received a text from a local electrician with a link to set up an appointment, great right? A week later I was still waiting to hear back from the electrician, every call I made went to voicemail. I called Select warranty to follow up and ensure they didn’t close the claim as it hadn’t been addressed. The first representative I spoke with gave me the electrician's number and told me to call them. Still no answer. The second representative I spoke with called and was able to get in touch with the electrician, somehow the work order was not in his system so Select Home sent another. The claim was started April 16th, today is May 25th.
I have spoken to 5 different representatives, informing them that I had yet to hear from the electrician. Each one gave me the same spiel “we were unable to get in contact with the electrician so you have two options: you can hire someone and we’ll reimburse you or we can recontract the job again.” After the second attempt of contacting the original electrician, I asked them to find someone else. 5 weeks and 4 days after initial contact, Select home finally sent the job back to dispatch, now I wait until an electrician accepts the job. While I understand that the lack of communication from the contracted electrician is out of their hands, they failed to acknowledge my requests for a different technician in a timely manner.

Many lies and many different answers from the customer service people who first answer to phone calls to number of supervisors who I escalated the issue, AC repair. Appeared they were trained the same or giving the same scripts to make you believe that they are doing something but when you call back you start all over again with different lies. Since repair cost is high they are making you finally say "the hell with them" and cancel the warranty. I did. But, since they got into my pocket they took more when cancelling. They charge me for the repair they did (replace $10 capacitor on that AC that was not fixed and charge me for over $200) for the month that they charge me for the warranty. Double charge, right?
I have been praying the God that they will not be able to victimize more people like me, older citizen, which used to take care this type of repairs by themselves but now rely on warranty companies. Hope from the God that the owner, the trainer of people who lie to their customers and the people who lie will eventually understand that victimizing people is not the right thing and a sin. We work hard for our money and work honestly and with dignity. You can do that also. No need to cheat. No need to trap people. Be honest, have dignity.

They have sweet talking associates and an extremely slow and unresponsive service. From the time you make the first call to report a claim to the service actually getting done, there are 4-5 steps in the process and every step takes at least 48 hours. You keep following up and get frustrated before things actually get done. If you get your own technician to fix the issue, their reimbursements are minimal.

This is a home warranty company you may want to avoid or at least do your research - the customer service at this place is poor companywide no matter who you speak which leads me to believe that is trained within the company - if you are expecting complete coverage look to another company. My AC has been out now going on 1 week. In AZ "not good". Finally they respond and say, "We will pay for part Compressor but you are responsible for LABOR". What? Nowhere in contract does it mention this. In fact I have lol the platinum pkg ---- now I ask what the heck does that even mean - well just do your research and ask as many questions as possible and have them send to you in email their quote info not just the contract.... I notified BBB and another agency who is not also reviewing but I want to post as many places as possible.... Beware!

I'm so fed up with their excuses and delaying tactics... 1. They sent out their HV tech to look at my furnace. First, their tech handed me a bill for $900 dollars, which I refused to pay... I was only supposed to pay the $45 dollars service call. Then, after a few verbal exchanges on the phone, their HV tech told me to my face, "Fine, I Quit... Go get your own tech." 2. So we complained to Select Home Warranty and told them their HV tech quit, and we wanted for them to send someone else out. Select Home Warranty refused. Then said, they already send this last guy out... Told us we would have to find our own tech, and then submit the claim.
3. We found a great HV tech at 5280 Heating and cooling. He fixed my furnace and told us was nothing wrong with the $500 dollar control board that the Select Home Warranty tech wanted to charge me for. 4. Worst home insurance company ever!!! Biggest waste of money I have spent. Every time I submit a claim it is not covered. What is covered takes forever for a technician to show up at your house. Do not recommend, do not buy insurance from them.

This company runs fraud business. Please stay away from them. I filed HVAC claim. Report clearly states that it is capacitor issue which is covered by contract but they denied it saying that it is Freon issue which is not covered. I filed another claim which was clearly for primary AC unit which is always covered and this time they declined it saying that it is secondary unit. Bottom line, they don't want to cover or pay anything. Just save your self lot of misery and inconvenience and use another company. They are total fraud.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the great multi-year deal we got with the Select Home Warranty. The Agent was knowledgeable and not pushy. We are very pleased with the coverage and the price. We hope we won’t need to use it any time soon, but are confident that we have good coverage for our home and inground pool.

The Agent on the phone was very professional and courteous concerning my plumbing Issue. My plumbing issue is a leak of some sort under my kitchen and bathroom sink. I look forward to resolving my plumbing issue. I found the bottom of the kitchen and bathroom sink wet with water, not knowing where or how the water was coming from.

The agent was a sweetheart. He was kind and very clear with his communication. He told me that I should be receiving a call from the person who is coming to fix within 2 days. In my opinion too long. I have no refrigerator. It’s not his fault. I put in my claim on Saturday, didn’t get a reply within the promised 24 hours so I reached out. This is when I received communication that someone will be in touch to fix. That will take anywhere from 24-48 hours. What am I supposed to do about no refrigerator.

Claim on broken AC unit. I asked if she could mail me a copy of our policy and she said they can not mail one. They can only email us one...that just don’t seem right to me. Not happy about that. She didn’t even email me one. And it is so hot. I am hoping someone gets here soon.

I had started to fill out everything online, but I quickly got confused. Within 1 hour (not even), I had someone call and ask if I had any questions. They then walked me through the rest of the process and answered any questions I had. My brother told me about this company and he loves it. I am sure we will love it as well! I just purchased a new house and went shopping online for some warranty coverage. Found Select to be highly rated and signed up for 1 year. I was contacted by a rep who recommended much better coverage and found me discounts! They seem great so far. Great plan and for an affordable amount. The payment plan is very affordable. Will definitely renew and refer to friends. I was just doing research and this is definitely a win win policy. It is less than it would cost to repair or replace any major appliance in your home. Not to mention all of the reviews I read were great. It’s hard to come by a company and not see any negative reviews. They even also a military discount. Hooah.

Multiple GFCI appear inoperative or have ground faults after inspection for prospective buyers for our home. Issues were clearly documented with inspector's report and photographs. Call representative for Select Warranty was extremely helpful. These items are specifically listed as covered in the contract. We will provide additional review once repairs are completed.

All paid up front and in full. I have use home warranty company’s in the past that did not cover half the items Select Home Warranty is covering and the cost was basically around the same price.

Since I just signed up for this warranty it is hard for me to recommend to a friend whether or not to also sign up. But from the short time I have had contact with them I have had no problems at all with them. And my son is also has a warranty with them. And he is not easy to please and does his homework when buying anything.

Heat Pump. I contacted the representative because my AC was not cooling. The representative was very pleasant and friendly. His first words after greeting me were, “How can I help you today?” After securing the basic information from me he informed me that I should expect an email concerning services within 24 hours. I received the email within 30 minutes and was able to secure a serviceman within 2 days. I referred my brother to your company and he immediately purchased a policy. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a good home warranty company. Their rates are very affordable. This is truly a 5 star company.

The customer service advisor was able to put my request in for service. Problem I had was his accent was so thick I had a hard time understanding him. Then he kept asking the same questions over again until I got upset and started crying. I highly recommend that someone who answers the service line needs to speak with less of an accent so that the hard of hearing customers can understand them.

Helps shoulder unexpected expenses with home repairs. Had problem with plumbing. Had to contact own plumber and was reimbursed for call. Satisfied with handling of claim especially with being able to get a hold of someone. Wish there were more service providers in my area as it is difficult to find one to come out and expensive and want to be assured of compensation before they have made a diagnosis.

We waited several weeks to get assistance because when we applied online the claim was applied to the wrong account, We were told that the account was canceled. The customer service people did help me resolve the issue. Today’s customer service was good, but we have been customers for over ten years and never had any value from this at all. The one claim was denied and they tried to deny these too.

I reviewed 5 highly rated companies and Select was by far the most efficient and well organized when I called. They were very friendly and answered all questions without delay. Hopefully, I will continue my business at least 10 years or more. They operate 24/7 and problems can be submitted by phone or online. Dealing with Select was easy and everyone was serviceable. A company was dispatch quickly to do the repairs. The only hiccup in the process was with the company that was sent to do the repair as they canceled my appointment with little notice and then could not find the dispatch order to reschedule. Overall I was happy with Select Warranty.

I have been with Select Home Warranty for many years. Always consistent Excellent customer service, reasonable plans....highly recommended. Only suggestion is they have a long wait time on the call, it will be great to reduce the hand offs and process it faster while the customer is on the call.
