Thank you the technician was pleasant and professional. I was disappointed they said knobs were not covered, so they couldn’t repair it. I’ll follow up and call Select Home Warranty. I believe they will work with me. As of yet I don’t have a repair completed, therefore at this time I cannot comment on my experience.

Filled Claim #** for AC unit on 7-02-2020 and was told to wait 24-48 hours for a technician to call (never happened). Called back on 07-04-2020 and they gave me the number to call to reach technician and the mailbox was full and he NEVER answered the phone. I scheduled an appointment on the website for AM 07-05-20. They never showed. I called Select Home Warranty back and was told to call my own technician and have him call them before fixing anything for approval. This was now 3 days later (NO air Summer heat).
My HVAC technician called Select to receive approval on 7-06-20 and said they were extremely sketchy over the phone compared to other warranty companies he had spoken to. They were back and forth with all kinds of weird questions. He was straightforward and explained it was the compressor that needed to be replaced. The Carrier AC unit is only 6 years old and has been serviced yearly. After OVER an hour on phone and after being on hold and asking to call back, then hung up on. They would not approve the work. The said to give them 24 hours to review the claim. On 7-07-20 I sent in the invoice via email claims@selectHomeWarranty.com and was told it would be 24 hours before approval.
I called them back on 7-8-20 and was told they needed more time. 7-9-2020 they emailed me asking for pictures and maintenance records. I emailed those to them. I called back on 07-10-2020 and they lied and said they had not received my email. After I went round and round and told them I know they received it because I had a read receipt on the email, they said they did receive the email and needed more time to review. I asked to Speak to someone else and she refused and then we SOMEHOW became disconnected. I then called back and became disconnected AGAIN. They are running a very tight ship here with all their electronic e-mails and limited people answering calls and fancy website. PLEASE HELP to stop them. This company is a scam! A FRAUD! Bait and switch!!! They don't want to pay for anything!! Just want your money monthly!!!

I was looking at home warranty services this evening. I wasn't planning on buying right away. I just wanted to review the services first. But, after conversing with Select Home Warranty they had the best deal in town, so I signed up with them and got two more months added to my contract. I am pleased with my purchase. Kudos to Select Home Warranty.

I found the warranty coverage to be comprehensive and the agent well in explaining the extra years for the lower annual price. I've not had a home warranty in 15 years so I am hopeful that this one will live up to its name and reputation when we may be in need of warranty service. Most of our systems are in good condition as far as we know but that's part of the point - we only know what we know from use or observation.

Placed order on 7/8. 123 Appliance assigned by SHW. 123 contacted me on 7/8, scheduled and came out 7/9. Diagnosed the need for Select approval to order part. Very pleased with 123 Appliance timeliness, professionalism, etc. I am hoping the Select will make a quick decision, advise my family and 123 Appliance so that we can move forward quickly. Dirty clothes pile up fast in A FAMILY OF 4.
I've had problems in the past with Select claiming not to receive diagnosis from multiple contractors that they sent out, (oven and dishwasher) slowing down the decision making process. Based on my observations and conversations with those contractors, I am convinced that the problem was internal with SHW technologies. I pray that your internal systems are more timely and accurate a few months later. This review is based on process so far with this claim only.

I was given clear options of each plan and it was an easy and smooth process. It was offered 3 different planes. Josh ** salesman was very friendly and useful. He helped me to choose plan that suites mostly to my needs. The insurance rate seems and service call cost seems be better than the other comparable plans.

After studying and researching several home warranty companies online, I decided on Select Home Warranty as my choice. I was extremely impressed with the courtesy. We have had a great experience so far with Select Home Warranty. Our agent Matt ** was able to get us a great rate and have a special contract drawn up for us to cover a system that they don't typically cover. He really went above and beyond our expectations to help us get the coverage and rate that we needed. Thank you so much. I hope if we ever have to put in a claim it goes just as smooth. Your phone sales and service team is super - very fast, thorough and efficient. I liked that they called a few times to ensure all was set correctly. The wait time was not long and there was an offer for a call back as well. It is great when the reps are fast speakers and listen which is sometimes rare. These guys and gals did both!

Gentlemen was quick to respond to my online inquiry. Was very polite and informed. The only slight issue I had was that there seemed to be a slight lag in response as I asked questions. Maybe it was a lag in the system. It just made me feel at times as if I had to ask "Are you there?" Other than that, it was a good experience.

Have had Select for a couple of months. Air conditioner stopped cooling my house, 2nd wk of July, temp mid 90s. Betw the heat & covid 19, HVAC companies were busy, backed up. Called SHW to file a claim to have my a/c fixed. Ended up going up to the 48 hrs & was then told to go ahead & see if I could find HVAC tech. They authorized 100$ to get the diagnosis, I found someone right away, followed SHW procedures for reimbursement, emailed the invoice to them & within 24 hrs received email that my claim has been approved for the cost of the repair, $133 & change.
I'm satisfied although under the circumstances, I think I should have been given the go-ahead to find a tech before the 48 hrs. Circumstances: filed claim on a Sunday, so there's 24 hrs gone, extreme heatwave (my family including the dog scattered to friends' houses to spend 2 nights). Being in my own neighborhood, I could have had it fixed in one day instead of 2. But again, it's fixed and my claim is getting paid. I'm glad I have the warranty.

I filed my claim online, after being transferred several times, and then an extended wait time. The online claim was quick and easy. I received confirmation that it was received, then a follow up email with the company and a request for three times that were convenient for me. I thought this was great, however, I haven't heard back from the company that was assigned. One of my times of availability has passed for today (Friday). Perhaps I will hear from someone by Monday morning, as I have requested two times on Monday. If all goes well, my star rating may be higher.

Great experience! I spoke with Allen ** to get additional information before I committed. He was extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant to deal with, as opposed to others who told me I had to sign-up right now or I lose every discounted offer. Allen took his time and was able to find multiple discounts to reduce the cost. I also inquired about purchasing a warranty for my daughter. He patiently went through that process as well. I needed to speak with my daughter first, and he pleasantly told me to call him back with any other questions.

After receiving a renewal bill from my current home protection company, which had a very high increase from the previous year I went online and checked out other companies. Select Home Warranty had the highest rating. I filled out the form online and Richard Z. called. He explained with great ease the coverage and answered all my questions. I would not normally purchase something this quickly but I felt very secure since I could cancel if not satisfied. I am VERY satisfied in reading over the policy and look forward to a long relationship with SHW.

I had another warranty company that upon renewal period did not hold up what they stated and emailed me about military discounts even after renewal. The service person I spoke with was at Select Warranty was extremely polite, knew what they offered and even asked me about my military service without me inquiring (as usual).

Refrigerator was not cooling properly. The Technician arrived right on time and diagnosed the problem with the refrigerator. He was very knowledgeable and was able to explain the issue so that even I understood it. This was my first time filing a claim and it was a positive experience. I'm very pleased with the outcome and I would highly recommend this company.

The last customer service rep I spoke to did a very good job of explaining things and making sure that I received a copy of my contract. However, the multiple calls and emails I sent in the last 48 hours were quite the opposite. No one told me there was a 30 day waiting period, no one offered to send me the contract, so we were left to sit here for 48 hours from the time I filed the claim until the last representative explained things to me, sweating. The temperature in my house is 85゚ and we are an elderly couple with health problems. All it would have taken was for any one of the several contacts I made to tell me it wasn't covered because of the 30 day wait period, which I was not aware of since it is not on your website application and I had not received a contract. I called my A/C company this morning and they will be here within 8 hours of my call. So the 48 hours we were left dangling and sweating in this high heat and humidity is unforgivable. Cindy **

Friendly service, loyalty pricing. Great coverage for the value of the policy. This type of coverage is one you don’t want to use, but when you look at the cost of replacing components on household equipment it gets pricey quickly. This product is a great peace of mind. The only time you don’t have enough insurance is when Murphy’s Law shows up, get coverage!

Select has made submitting a claim easy and fast. They have made things streamlined with the online claim submission form. Select Home Warranty is quick to resolve issues too. I submitted a claim for a Garbage disposal and received the replacement amount in a matter of an hour and was able to go and get my replacement. It was easy and I would recommend them anytime!

The dryer no longer functions in normal operation. The scheduler was very helpful in obtaining my information and scheduling a repair business to correct my problem. My hope is a reliable business technician will arrive in a reasonable amount of time to repair or replace my unit. When I purchased this warranty I was promised fast help, fast repairs and good service. This company offers NONE of that. In the 8 months I paid premiums I had two things fail, a small portion of my roof and my washing machine. In BOTH claims they NEVER found a contractor, never sent anyone to repair anything. I had to find my own contractors and then once I got bids, I was denied on actually repairing anything. I finally lowered the cost on one bill for the washer just to receive minimal help (under $100) and that was back in May, it's July now and they haven't paid. My roof will not be repaired by them and I will receive no help though it states in the contract that if my roof fails over the winter, it's covered. This is a HORRIBLE company, do not do business with them.

My Air Conditioner unit stopped working on July 4th. This is the first claim I had to file with Select Home Warranty and I couldn't track down my Account number. No problem at all! They looked up my address and got the claim filed quickly. A repair contractor reached out to later that day. My only issue is that they confirmed my phone number and the repair service has continued to contact my spouse instead, but if that's the only issue, I will gladly take it! Currently awaiting the repair person's arrival but no complaints at this point!

He was very courteous and knowledgeable in providing the various plans and discounts available, not only what was advertised in the website but also the multiyear discounts. I called for service because our washer will not run. The water loads in the washer but when you turn it on to run, the washer will not run. This is the first this has happened to our washer, although it is not the newest modest out there with all the fancy buttons. It is made by Maytag that is known to last for a long time.

I have spoken to a representative and he was nice and helpful. I will be adding more reviews as I utilize this service more and gain more exposure to their service. Asking for review early in the service is not fair to the consumers or others. Actual reviews should be given to customer after each service call or at least first two service calls. That way we will know for sure how good the company is and also readers will believe on the review as well. I am being honest and upfront about this review as I just signed up.

Phone reps are very friendly and try to really help. The price is good and so is the trip fee, it just takes a little too long to get a contractor out. Last November our heater went out and it was freezing weather. It took almost 2 weeks to get it fixed. They really need to improve on this. Then they would be better.

This is the first time using Select Home Warranty. I had a problem with my account as the credit card on file was lost and replaced with another card so My monthly charge did not go through and I was unable to get service. The billing department was able to resolve this problem on the phone quickly and efficiently and the request for service was made. Unfortunately there appears to be no way to maintain my account online. There does not seem to be an ability to 'log in' to my account and correct errors or make changes. In today's world this is most inefficient.

The agent on phone was quite helpful. She explained how the process works on your end and the timeline for my claim to process. However, I suggest you to mention “business hours” when you guys say 24-48hrs for processing the claim when you email me after posting the claim. There was nowhere, in email or my policy document, was it written as business hours, which extends the wait time by days. However, the agent cleared it up and was helpful.

Things go wrong in homes and when you own them lots can go wrong and you as a owner will have to pay thousands of dollars but with your program we all can feel secure and knowing that you guys got my back and that makes all the difference.

It was very satisfying since the representative heard me very patiently and answered every query to my satisfaction. The representative was very polite. The two most important features which I liked was that there is absolutely no out of pocket expense for parts and labor except for the service call fee. In addition, the service call is guaranteed to be addressed the same day of your complaint. A specialist will be deputed to your home the same day.

The water heater stopped working completely, made the call and report the issue, the next day I had a technician over who diagnosed the problem and I received the approval for a new water heater to purchase. I was paid the value of the water heater $350.00. I purchase a new one for $569.00 at Lowe's.

I have been with Select Home Warranty for over a year and they have resolved each claim in a timely and professional manner. We have not had to call back the technician, or resubmit a claim for a redo in both situations. We were concerned that living in a smaller town might be an issue in finding qualified technicians but SHW was able to satisfactorily resolve the claims.

Got my claim approved and refrigerator fixed so I'm happy. At first the company they recommended wasn't answering so they allowed me to pick a technician and Adam's Refrigerator Repair was great and had the parts with him to repair on the spot! They should allow us to use our own technicians more often, it really expedited the process.

I was very pleased with Sol A.B, he answered my questions and was very polite. I was concerned about one issue. It was the "Car Salesman" tactic. I asked about a discount and he said, "Let me check with my boss." Then came back and said, "Yes I can give you a discount," then after I had given him my payment, He announced that I could save so much more if I signed up for the extended period and have a savings of greater $$$. Why did he not lead with these savings? Giving me that option first? Just a suggestion from a concerned consumer. I am looking forward to trying out your services!

I just recently switched to Select Home Warranty, having been an American Home Shield customer for 4 years. So far, the thing I like best is the fact that you can actually talk to a human being, without being on hold for an hour. They seem to try hard to communicate, but sometimes the communication is not as timely as I'd like. But I'm only a month in, and realize that the COVID pandemic is causing issues in many ways with customer service.

I have not yet had to use my home warranty but the customer service is helpful and knowledgeable. My only complaint is that when it’s time to renew, the daily phone calls, emails, and text messages (even after I told them I will renew in June) were excessive and annoying. Please reduce those! But other than that, I am a happy customer and as a single mom of 3, having the warranty gives me a good sense of security. Thank you!

Kind, professional and consistent. The service people Select is contracted with are all precise, on point and knowledgeable. I will never use another company as I have used another in the past and it was always a runaround. Plus the copay is lower with select than it was with AHS. If you want great customer service and security of knowing you're in good hands then select is the way to go.

I called because my AC was down. Not working properly. You took the blame. Said I would get it name all message within 24 to 48 hours as two contractors in my local area then I just have to contact them in order to get service taken care of. All in all was good experience.

Select Home Warranty could not find an electrician to come out and assess my breaker box in a timely manner, so they contacted me and gave me permission to find someone myself. I felt like the way they handled my claim was very fair, and I am thankful they let me follow-up rather than them spend more time trying to get something worked out on their end.

As a first time home buyer, I was nervous which home warranty company to chose from. I researched and read reviews and Select kept resulting the top of my list. Zachary who helped me sign up was awesome. Friendly, professional and understanding to my needs and questions. He answered everything and made me feel good I was making the right choice. I had to make my first claim and it was easy breezy!
I spoke with Belle who was very nice and made the claim effortlessly. I had a response from the contractors to fix my A/C within 2 hours, if not less! Max, my contractor came and was the politest, courtest person I've met, he made a diagnostics right away and Select responded within minutes so I can make my choice. Unfortunately my A/C fix was not covered under my policy (freon/freon leak) but I knew that was a possibility and still feel I saved money on time/long term warranty repairs. Overall, 5 stars to Select for customer service, quick claim and professional contractors.

This is the worst home warranty company and please don't enroll with them. They will make several promises at the time of your enrollment but keep in mind when it comes to pay for the claims, they just shy away and will outright decline your claim. They will make you wait for more than 7 days to resolve an issue and then post that will make approvals sitting in their office and not looking at the diagnosis submitted by a licensed technician. The customer care representatives are rude as hell. I repeat don't go with them. It's a scam.

As we talked and information exchanged, an extended term was discussed and excepted by both my wife and myself for a 3-year term policy. It was fair and a new relationship has started. Select Home is rated as excellent by consumer groups that I had researched.

My salesman answered all my questions But it took quite a bit of prodding on my part which I didn’t like. On the upside, he did offer me a nice discount. And he gave me his direct line phone number. I called him later with more questions and he actually answered the phone. I thought I would get his voicemail, so to hear his voice was a renice surprise. He also emailed me my contract right away so I could review it. On the downside, he was not very courteous, not rude either. He at times kept trying to overtalk me and was dry in his personality at times as if he really didn’t want to be bothered with me asking him so many questions. I asked him if my monthly cost was going to be in the contract Or in writing somewhere for me to view, and he said I didn’t need to have it in writing which was an unprofessional thing to say.

Recently purchased a home in Arizona and decided that a Home Warranty plan may be a smart idea for the existing appliances. Had my first issue.. Called in on June 17. It took 9 days before I finally had to contact the contractor that Select HW contracted. The contractor then told me they didn't serve my new contract. Several calls back to SHW, the contractor agreed to schedule a diagnostic for July 2. July 2 came & went. No contractor, no call, no nothing. I called SHW. The person on the phone told me "not our issue". "You call them or get your own contractor & we will reimburse you." I was ticked, to say the least.
I recontacted the contractor. There was no explanation for the no show. All I asked was "how about a courtesy call when a service employee doesn't show." So, we rescheduled for the next available date; July 9th. Recontacted SHW...obviously a cultural issue. Person couldn't grasp my angst...just keep saying, "Sorry, not our issue." Finally had him log in 9 July. If you don't give a date, your case will close. A lot of BS after paying a monthly fee. I've already had two people tell me selecting SHW was a mistake.

Today I purchased a home warranty from Select. Yesterday I canceled my warranty plan with American Home Shield. It is a Terrible scam. It took days of being on hold with an international operator, whom I could not understand, to even get a service rep to look at my leaking dishwasher. He would not repair, he said it was a total loss. American Home Shield rudely said it was not covered as it was my fault. I was charged in advance $125 for nothing. Select is a much better value and better coverage. I should have switched long ago.

Close to midnight yesterday I finally decided that I had enough with my current home warranty company and decided to sign up with a new one. I went on the Internet and one the companies I found with very competitive rates was Select Home Warranty. I filled out a form online and then tried calling them. Since it was too late, I just hung up and forgot about the whole thing.
The next day morning, I had several messages from Ed ** of Select Home Warranty. Before I could return the call, he called me again. He was very personable and sounded trustworthy. He offered me a very good promotion and I decided to sign up. Within 5 minutes of talking to him, I received the contract via email and I was very pleased to see that everything in the contract matched what Ed told me over the phone. I am very pleased with Ed and Select and I am looking forward to a having a long relationship with Select.

The other gentleman kept putting me on hold to find answers to my questions then put me on hold and never came back. I received a call as I was trying to figure out what to do about a warranty, and was at the Select Home Warranty website, The sales person was polite and informative. He offered discounts not available via the website. The way I looked at it, if I bought individual policies on just three appliances, I would have ended up spending more money than their whole house warranty. Unlike in the past, my claim for a problem with an A/C unit was processed relatively fast. The appointment with a technician was set up the next day and the technician visit was done on the following day, which fixed the problem. I filed a claim about my microwave either not turning on or when on it does not sound right. A decision was made to just pay $95 toward me buying a new one instead of sending someone to come try to fix or replace it and I am not satisfied with that at all.

The phone representative did a good job. The only complaints I have are that I was surprised I had to wait up to 48 hrs to be contacted and that I have to call the technician instead of them calling me. I think some repair issues, such as an AC issue would be considered more of an emergency and be repaired more quickly.

Our dishwasher quit and a technician came to house to check it out. Apparently the whole control panel was bad and Select Home Warranty only provided a $185 check to help defer the cost of installing a new unit. Not quite what I was expecting but better than nothing. Select Home Warranty has to be the worst Home Warranty company in the nation. I'm a top producer Real Estate agent and I have a personal policy with them. It took over a month to get a vendor out to look at my Hot Water Heater and Clothes Dryer, I was without any water or a clothes dryer during that time. It took me screaming and calling everyday until something was resolved. But the situation is it really wasn't resolved. I have the Platinum policy and it pays for nothing just a depreciation value of what is broken. Other companies like Old Republic and American Home Shield and Total Home Protect does not do business that way. They will pay for a replacement and not depreciation value.
I had three vendors come to my house and did not do their job properly after paying them a $75 service call fee and I had to go back in and get serial numbers and model numbers for both claims. I have been treated in such a way that I can't believe something different each day and someone different gives me excuse after excuse. Now I've replaced my items which I'm out $2000 plus $150 in service call fees and I'm getting back a total of $275 which I find unacceptable and this company should be made to reimburse me back all of my policy money. I have talked to numerous people at this company and they tell me something different each day. I've jumped through hoops to get this resolved and should not and the customer service is horrible.
I will be switching to another company that is more efficient and does not have horrible customer service. I will never sell this policy to any of my clients because I would hate for them to be treated in this way. Now my payment is due and I do not want to pay them for another month of poor service and I was told they would put another delay on my reimbursement of $250. I find this unacceptable. This company is horrible and the people are rude and do not speak great English so you can understand them. They tell me about my case is in the back room, I believe it is in a back room and nothing is being done to resolve this issue. I'm filing a formal complaint and I want some type of resolution to this matter immediately.

Of note, the wait time was the shortest for Select Home Warranty vs the other companies I called. They are also seemingly generous with additional roof coverage for no additional charge.

I have had a home warranty with Select for over a year. They have been helpful in getting the repairs completed and have covered the majority of the out of pocket expenses. **EXCEPT FOR AC REPAIRS.** Unless you have service records of your ac being “tuned up” and your filters being replaced on a schedule by an AC company, they basically do not cover AC repairs in my past experience. Filed a claim on 6/26/20. Half of my house has no electricity. Got an email saying they would contact me within 24-48 hrs. Never did. I had to call them. Said they needed more info. Gave info. Said it would be 1-2 days before a technician would be getting a hold of me. Nothing. Received an email that my case is pending and that I needed to call them that they needed more info. Called and gave same damn info again. Said the same thing 24-48hrs again before a technician blah blah blah. This company seems shady to me, I have had this service for almost a year and have never used it until now. I always ask who I am talking to and when I ask them their name they mumble it. Trying this company for first time. Comparing this to two other companies. Sign up is similar. Hard sell to upgrade coverages but not pushy. Lots of iron options. Second fridge coverage a la carte for a little more per year. Automatically covers two ACs. AC leaks are only covered by a maintenance contact add on. That covers both units and up to 5 lbs of Freon per unit. (Compared to AHS that only covers $10 per lb of Freon. R12 Freon costs $90 per lb.) Lower service call fee. One bother is big discounts for those over 55 if you purchase a 3 or 5 year coverage. But offer only available on the day of initial sign up. That's not good. Still proof in the pudding to see how well system works. Ie service calls on weekends for AC without having to fight with customer service, quality of contractors they send out, no hidden exclusions in policy.... Stuff like that.

We chose to work with Select Home Warranty based on their positive reviews we read. We purchased a full home warranty plan one year ago to cover our entire home. A few months after purchasing the plan our heater broke so we contacted SHW for coverage. They sent a mechanic to look at the unit who had no understanding of the issue. We decided to call another professional heating service provider who fixed the issue quickly and charged less than SHW. We tried to get a reimbursement from SHW which took two months of back and forth and only happened when I threatened to cancel my service with them.
After 3 months, we had another issue, this time with the A/C. We called our technician again who came to fix the issue. We sent the statement to SHW for reimbursement only to be told that this wasn't covered under the warranty, despite it clearly being covered. Then, last week we had another issue with a leak in our water heater. Again, we called a professional plumber who came to fix it the same day. When we sent the bill back to SHW for reimbursement, they again told us this wasn't covered because leaks with water heaters didn't qualify. After three consecutive cases, it's clear that SHW is running a scam and not reimbursing for services that are clearly covered under their policy. The representative will speak very nicely with you but make sure there are no results at the end. Stay away from this company if you want quality home warranty coverage.

Was having issues with my water softener and submitted a claim. The response by Select Home Warranty was very quick and a technician was dispatched by the preferred plumbing vendor. Although the water softener could not be fixed Select Home Warranty informed me that they would credit me that they would offer funds for me to fix or replace the unit. The process has been seamless.

After 2 months of back and forth about my broken machine, many contacts and much documentation, they did not replace my machine. Had 2 of the service people come check it out (my cost $150). Both of them Saying it needed the repair that probably not worth doing on a 14 year old Washer/dryer combo, all I have been promised (we will see) is $150. I Finally bought a new machine for $1500.00. As of today I am out 150 on top Of the new machine. I have called them at least 10 times (on long holds) And can only say dont trust them.

The tech has not arrived yet but so far the process has been smooth. Once I hit the submit button error message states at least 50 words. The character count says 336 and counting. Select Home Insurance has been nothing as to what we expected. We've put in 4 claims so far. Select responded to 2 of them saying that both incidents are not covered and the other 2 were minimal reimbursement. They are slow to respond to inquiries and the customer service is poor.

They use fine print, they don't have 3rd party technicians to send, they use process to beat you down. Had microwave go bad in a built-in model, called them, based on age,model they gave $185 said to get it replaced and send the invoice-then they will send a form to fill then they will send a check. Use process to beat you down. When I tried to cancel - they want $75/and prorate again use the fine print to nickel and dime you - stay from them. Or pay more and get First American.

This company is crooked and runs a racket. Here's the short: Customer submits a claim. Technician comes to collect his fee and submits a report causing any repairs to be denied. Technician spends 5 minutes to make $75, never to return, and SHM doesn't have to pay out for a claim. Simple and easy. The customer (you) loses. Do not engage.

The service company was prompt in responding to my call and made the initial service call in a timely manner. The serviceman called before coming so I did not have to waste time waiting. Serviceman practiced COVID-19 safety precautions, wore a mask, used gloves. Serviceman explained the problem and how he would resolve it. I honestly don't have any more time to give to this company, so I will keep it short here and move on. Do not protect your home with Select Home Warranty!!! I had two homes with them protected for 3 years and had to cancel both after a year when I realized nothing is going to change with them. They will give you more headaches than peace of mind when it's time to filing a claim or reimbursement. Worst off, it that when I called to cancel, they kept hanging up the call on me, I had to call multiple times, they refused to disclose my refund balance and said a billing agent will follow up with me later. Long story short, they tried to steal my balance to force me not to cancel, but it was not worth it anymore so I still canceled.

Sam was very helpful. Even convinced me to buy 3 years of coverage. I looked at other warranties and they only wanted to cover most things for 90 days but you pay for an 18-month warranty. I’m happy I called. I can’t wait to move into my new house. Hopefully, there will not be any issues.

Clogged kitchen sink. This is my first time requiring a repair in my home. When I called Select, I was greeted by a very professional and courteous person that was so eager to help. We switched from another home warranty company to Select Home Warranty and we are impressed so far. The level of customer service is wonderful! Definitely more coverage than we had and more affordable. We have only put in one call so far, but it was quick and easy! Absolutely would recommend!

Today, Grant at Dunmire Garage Door Repair came out to fix my broken spring in my garage door. While the claim was not included in my policy I was still pleased with the overall service from the warranty company and very satisfied thus far with the service vendor that did the repair work. He was prompt and efficient and I would very much use him again. Thanks.

Dishwasher would not work. Electronic controls inoperable. Repairman says to replace. The steam from the unit historically destroys the electronics and requires the unit to be rebuilt which is more expensive than a replacement unit. Repairman says to choose a front panel analog control rather than an in the door electronic unit.

I was really please with the service I received. During our call I could hear the rep but she could hear me. The call was dropped and within a minute she was calling me back. She apologized for the interruption and continued taking my claim. I was impressed because normally when that happens you don't get that callback. She was very detailed about her next step and the process going forward. A really pleasant experience..

I was researching Home Warranty companies to compare prices and customer reviews. I requested a quote from Select Home and immediately received a phone call from Abraham **. He went over the coverage and the best option for me. I am well pleased. I hope I do not have to use this service but have peace of mind that it is there if needed.

Dishwasher repair/Claim: Was told verbally that the process would be if approved the total repair costs or reimbursement invoice of new unit. They accepted the claim and then they changed their mind to only replacement value which is 1/10 of the costs. When they would send emails about response timeframes they were almost always outside of those timeframes and much slower to respond. They would dispatch people outside of my area, then the contractor would cancel and then SHW would not task another outfit. Ultimately, I had to look and find my own contractor after a week of hassling with SHW. This is actually my second bad experience with Select Home Warranty and would not recommend them.

We needed a policy for the house we were selling and the house we were buying. Belinda was a pleasure to work with. She was polite and prompt to respond. She made great recommendations and gave us a very good deal. Although we have not had to make a call for any repairs yet, we are very pleased with our experience with Select Home Warranty thus far.

I was shopping for home warranty for my new home in Florida when I stopped by Select. The level of explanation and consideration provided by the seller Tom was a decisive factor in order to decide to get my warranty with them. They have a well balanced coverage and reasonable fees.

Purchasing the warranty was an easy experience. I do wish their website had the full terms (service call fee, exclusions, sample contract, etc.) available. I ended up talking with a rep on the phone to learn these aspects. I hope the experience if I need service is as smooth as the purchasing process.

Very friendly and helpful on the phone. Was able to get me a better deal than anywhere else. Would recommend to anyone. Great value for a great price. They said my service location had a wide range of coverage and same day service. Glad to have some peace of mind, knowing if anything major happens in covered.

Select Home Warranty was recommended by a friend who is also a realtor. When I called the customer service representative was friendly and worked with me to find the best plan for my needs. He was able to apply additional discounts and made it easier to lock in a good rate, which allowed me to purchase a multi-year plan so I don't have to worry about rates going up each year or remembering to renew.

On the website the information was not clear so I called and got someone right away. The call was knowledgeable, easy transaction. Gave me information and recommended a good deal. I was unsure of what I wanted or needed and the gentleman gave me good information and recommended a great promotional deal. I would definitely recommend a friends or a family member. I had another question and called back got the same man and he knew me right away. He answered my question and processed my payment quickly.

Sent a request for delivery of my policy that I paid for on Apr 17, 2020. I got call back the same day and the policy was delivered that night by email. I wish I need not have to make the call get my policy. It should have been delivered when I paid for it.

Jordan, he Answers all the questions I had about the coverage. Explain how the coverage work. He was courteous and knowledgeable about the company. Explain how if appliances or other items could not be repaired they would be replace. He had great energy and positivity that this company will work for me.

I have multiple claims filed in just a half year, thanks to this insurance, all my claims got resolved instantly. The local service companies they dispatched are great. It covered almost all my claims, I just extended my policy in advance, probably I will use this insurance life-time. It's transferable national wide. No worry anymore. It's really a inner peace for my house.

Bought this policy 3 years ago and did the 3 year plan, never filed a claim until 3 weeks before policy needed to be renewed. Called and had to get them to look up my policy and prayed it was still active. Living 6 hours away from this home that we were renting out I did not need another headache. They filed my claim quickly, easily, and only cost me the service fee. I am actually going to check into getting a policy on my new home due to how easy this was to navigate.

It was quick, easy and an excellent experience. I would highly recommend it and would re-up. It was at a great price and very easy to sign up. Highly rated across the board. Overall the entire process was enjoyable. I have had another company preciously for my home warranty and was very unhappy with the customer service. This was a very different experience.

I've submitted a couple requests online, and they have been very quick to response either with a contractor or an alternative solution. The contractor that came out to assist with the first issue was thorough, pleasant to deal with and offer additional cleaning service for our HVAC(which we needed) at a very reason price. So far... great customer service! I would most certainly go with the Platinum package.

I had a glass top stove that suffered a crack. I have attempted to secure a repair for over 6 weeks and have had no results. The company advised they could not locate any one to come to my area to complete repairs. I was advised it was my responsibility to locate someone have the repairs completed and pay for the repairs and they would do there best to repay me. I have asked to speak with supervisor and manager but I was advised they do not have any. I asked to cancel my contract and refund my money. I was advised they never refund money. I would stay away from this company.

The customer service that Select Home Warranty gives to customers is excellent. Also the coverage that you get and the price point is amazing. I researched other companies and they did not cover the different appliances and other things that select covers. I would definitely recommend to others. I could not ask for better customer service from a warranty company. I feel so much better and can breathe easier knowing that my home is covered from any surprise breakdowns. The deductible is also reasonable compared to the cost of having a company coming out to do a service.

The original response from Select Home warranty was made quickly, but confusing. I was not available to answer the phone and the voice message was given so rapidly that it took 8 tries to determine the telephone number to return. When I finally got that the response to my call was immediate and helpful.

After calling in for a quote, I was greeted quickly and quoted a reasonable rate. I’ve paid another company for years that charged more and had unacceptable customer service. I recommend this company. More items are covered and the service fee is less than other company. The price is about half of what I paid for before. This company answers your call quickly. So far, so good.

Sean was great and explained all the details, have spoken to him a number of times and very quick to respond with clear and accurate responses. The options offered is great, the multi year policy gives great discounts and you have the option to stop and get refunded the months not used.

My Water pressure in house is very low, we are on a well. Called Select Home Warranty and they immediately started looking for a Service Company to come out to check problem. I am waiting on Select to find me a contractor at this time, in all fairness it's only been 3 hours of business hours for them to get with a contractor. The associates at SHW have been very professional and helpful.

The company promised that it has repair service people in my area. When I called to get service for washing machine and A/C they took about a week and emailed me that there was none in my area. I had to find one. I had to pay for the person coming to look and then diagnosis. The cost of the person coming was not covered.

A/C Issue. Could not be more pleased. Technician from Air Comfort Control showed up on time. Was diligent in reviewing the situation and resolved it on the spot.
