Want to warn everyone who may be thinking about purchasing a Samsung Washer or Dryer. My Samsung washer went to the landfill 2 1/2 years after I bought it brand new at Best Buy. I replaced it with a Speed Queen (made in America) washer. Samsung would not fix or replace my washer. They made one attempt to fix but it wasn't fixed. The steel tub split in two, it wouldn't spin, the mold around the rubber door could not be fully cleaned. My clothes were never clean from day one. Now, my dryer is 3 years old and that no longer heats. I'm looking at my receipt right now and I paid $1,427.75. I was expected these appliances to be "durable goods". Stay away from Samsung. Problematic and they will not remedy.

I bought this machine on sale at Lowe's. My only complaint is the level of vibration. I solved that with simple rubber feet that hold the machine nicely in place, though the vibration is still there. If I had know that I could have bought a Speed Queen locally, I would have done that, instead.

I have a Samsung, top loading, no agitator, HE washer that I absolutely hate! The only way to get the clothes clean (or sometimes even wet) is to do every load on the heavy duty setting and to pile all the clothes on one side so it senses that it’s really full. If you don’t do this there will always be soap debris on anything dark which is a real pain! I would never buy this washer again. Oh I almost forgot... it was also recalled because the bolts holding the drum would break off and shoot through the top of the washer! When this fix was done they put a new label on my dial that changed settings.

Not enough water or agitation to do the job. Very difficult to reach items on the bottom. Seems they are a bit over priced. I would definitely consider buying another brand in the future. Sorry I got these.

I have the Samsung front load washer/dryer pair. I've had it for over 5 years now. I've had some minor problems with it such as: when washing on the extra long cycle, the washing machine would pause and I'd had to push the button to make it continue, not sure why it does it for just that particular cycle. Secondly, when there is nothing in the washing machine, sometimes water leaks in the tub, randomly. I wish I had more options to make it the water temperature that I want to make it, instead it being pre-set for certain loads. I love the quietness of the washer and the alarm sound when it's done. I haven't had any trouble with the dryer, but I noticed it has gotten louder over the years.

I love my washer which I've had about 18 months. My clothes come out nice and clean especially the whites. The trick to great looking laundry is let the washer decide how to wash your clothes after you select the type. The only complaint I have is the vibration noise it makes during the spin cycle. But other than that I would recommend this washer.

Motor in the front loading washing machine disintegrated. When it broke apart, pieces went into the drum and dislodged it. The second repair was for the drum being dislodged and the bar that it rotates on broke. The front load dryer heating element has burnt out twice and was repaired. The repairs have all been after warranty expired. I have spent more to fix it than I paid for both units and I will not repair either again. I will never purchase front loaders again.

The washer constantly grows mold and smells bad, leaves black streaks on clothing. The dryer takes forever to get clothes dry. We really miss our old Whirlpool team as they actually worked. These new machines from Samsung are almost like Samsung doesn't actually test their products at all.

Newer technology, like steam in the dryer and takes a little effort to learn how to use. Love the washer but one thing I miss is the ability to just spin dry something without the rinse cycle. Love the option of adding garments in middle of cycle though.

Now it only drys on 40 min set... But I need to dry a load x3 on 40 mins. That's all that works. All those extras the steam etc nothing works. Now our washer at 3 yrs of age... gets off level and wont finish on any size load. Where the fabric softener goes it doesnt empty and we have cleaned and cleaned all that goop out. Although the dryer worked okay, the washer was rusting inside within a year. Samsung told us it was because it was too much moisture (we lived in the desert of NW Phoenix) - huh? Thought washers could take moisture. Then a recall for them blowing up had a crew from Dish Network (what?) come out and install a brace. Having to touch up the inside and soap/bleach dispensers with rust paint every few months. Samsung products are absolute crap. Don't get me started on the fridge, dishwasher and microwave. Garbage!

I have had a Samsung washer just over 2 years. The washer developed an issue recently of not getting past the rinse cycle. The washer completed tumbling the clothes, began to rinse the clothes, and begin to spin. When the spinning started to get up to speed, the washer seemed to attempt to redistribute the clothes for a smooth spin and would then continue adding time to the cycle. THE SPINNING WOULD BEGIN BUT NEVER GET UP TO FULL SPEED. This would continue and the washer would never complete the cycle due to the continuing addition of time to the cycle. I took the back off the washer and noticed that the white plastic bracket on the back of the drum, where electrical connections are mounted, was loose. The plastic around the screw that secures the plastic bracket to the drum was cracked leaving the bracket not securely fastened to the back of the drum.
Using washers and a longer screw, I was able to fasten the bracket securely to the drum. With the bracket securely fastened, the washer now works perfect! I investigated this problem on the internet and saw a lot of people had this same issue with this washer and other Samsung models. People tried lots of things with repairmen replacing control boards to disassembling the washer and it seemed the problem was never fixed. I'd consider this bracket cracking and becoming detached to be a design flaw. Due to the excessive vibration during the spin cycle, it's just a matter of time before this failure occurs with this type of attachment design. There probably have been hundreds or thousands of washers that have been unnecessarily discarded and replaced due to a simple bracket failure because the symptoms of the failure point more to a major failure.
My theory is that the washer vibration sensor thinks the washer load is off balance due to the bracket not being connected to the drum. The washer then tries to compensate for the imbalance by adjusting (adding time) the rinse cycle. I wanted to make everyone aware of this failure as I know I'm not alone based on the numerous exact issues I read about on the internet. I'm hoping that Samsung will do the right thing and make people aware of this problem. In my opinion, Samsung should do the responsible thing and replace the plastic bracket with a redesigned bracket that can withstand the vibration of the drum. I can only imagine how many of these Samsung washers have been unnecessarily discarded into landfills when there was such a simple repair.

First Samsung had a recall and mine was barely a year old. The replacement cost was minimal compared to cost of my washer. The top was blowing off under certain setting. The replacement washer is worse than the previous washer. The spin setting continues on certain setting, rust around the top where the bleach dispenser is located. This is a terrible product; cheap and poorly made. I have now received a class action on top load Samsung washer. Stay away from Samsung washers.

We bought a washer & dryer 3 1/2 years ago incl. 1 yr. warranty. Bought "extended warranty" for 3 more years. Warranty still good but Samsung & warranty company "The Walker Group" still want to replace parts after OVER 2 1/2 months without a working washer; they have no consideration for the customer. It takes a week to receive parts from Toronto & then another week or 2 to schedule an install date. We are very frustrated by The Walker Group not willing to replace the washer after replacing 2 boards & a wiring harness; ordered all parts again & waiting another week or 2 for parts from Toronto only (live near Edmonton).
The repair company "Trans Global" & technician do not communicate much after reminding them again to update us; still no reply. Nothing but frustration! Almost 3 months without a washer now & have to wash clothes by hand, laundromat, neighbors, relatives & friends' house; not funny at all. Samsung, The Walker Group & Trans Global don't seem to be in a hurry to rectify this matter. They don't seem to care/understand the inconvenience. Extended warranty cost $150 at purchase time PLUS we had to pay $150 to start a claim; totally ridiculous! Just replace the washer. Do the math; it is costing more to repair this machine than replacing it. PLEASE help!

My husband and I had to replace our 12 year old Maytag washer and dryer and decided to try Samsung. My husband accidentally left a small closed knife in his pocket which dented up the interior of the washer so bad that it is catching on all our laundry. We have had the drum and agitator replaced once before due to the denting. This second time Samsung refuses to cover it. We have owned 4 different washers and my husband has left numerous items in his pockets and this is the only washer that has dented up.
The machine is only 2 years old but the warranty ran out. The first technician that came out to fix it the first time said he saw a lot of this with these machines. It never fully cleaned every load so I have had to wash a few loads twice. The dryer does not always fully dry and the Samsung refrigerator we have has just had its 6th repair on its ice maker and something else in the back. We purchased our Samsung Washing Machine (WF50K7500AV/A2) and dryer in November 2018, and two weeks later we had a massive water leak that required water restoration for the laundry room and the floor below it. The defective washing machine was evaluated by the install team and the plumber. Both concluded that it was the washing machine and that the machine allowed water to spill out and flood the floor. There were water stains in the front of the washing machine, and in the pedestal. The pedestal had rust stains from the metal cans that were exposed to the water from the washing machine.
Samsung is being really nasty about the claim and refusing to believe that it was the machine even though both the install team and the plumber checked out the pipes and install, and concluded that it was the washing machine. Retailers should also be held accountable for selling these defective machines when they know that there are safety and quality issues. Regards.

I requested for a replacement machine since the parts are not available and the motherboard is broken but they would not even consider. Writing off Samsung as their customer service is just terrible. WA48H7400AW/A2 model Samsung Top loader washing machine. I had noticed brown and black specks on the bottom of my washer after running a cycle. At first I thought it was just dirt. After taking off the agitator cap, I discovered a cap full of thick disgusting slime. I cleaned it and ran 2 more rinse cycles... and there it was again, specks of mildew on the bottom. This time I decided to take the pulsator bottom off and was horrified!! I couldn't believe the mold and scum. I am scrubbing and dousing with Clorox.
Apparently, Samsung is aware of this issue, I found 53 pages of complaints with the same issue. And instead of doing the right thing and recalling the washer, they want to offer a $150-250 rebate! We called Samsung customer service; they were rude and unsympathetic. They do not stand behind their products or offer any support. We paid $1300 for this high end, larger capacity washer and now 3 years later, we have to spend $636 just on parts to convert the parts that are no longer available. The washing machine had a recall within 6 months of our purchase. The issue we were told was that bedding/heavier loads could cause the entire top to come off and projectile across the room, so that was a safety issue so the replacement top and new washing guide panel were replaced at no cost. Within one year of that, the hinge of the lid has become corroded on the left side and now has completely separated in several places in that corner. The left door at the hinge is now raised up about 3-4 inches from the machine, completely curled.
Now the cap that covers the bolt in the center of the basin has broken off and there's no way to reattach it so now we can only use it for clothes that we are certain won't get caught on that bolt or clothes we'd like shredded :(. The dryer also had a pulley that went bad and that costs us $250 only two years after purchase, again these are both less than 3 years old. And the dryer makes a constant screeching sound. Mind you, these were the top of the line appliances that Best Buy carried. We're purchasing all new kitchen appliances next year, Samsung products will be avoided entirely.

I've had my washer for 10 months and use it regularly (a few times a week), and it seemed that overnight the protective plastic covering the control panel started peeling from the right corner. It took me 3 days and numerous phone calls and emails just to get a ticket so that I could get a service appointment so that someone could come take a look at the washer. I kept getting the runaround and finally I was told to send pictures of the washer by email, so I did. A few days went by and still no word from Samsung, so I had to call again. This time the customer service rep was a bit more helpful, however I did have to text the pictures and finally a ticket was created. I had to wait 3 more days before being contacted by the 3rd party company that handles Samsung's service calls to get a service appointment.
Four days later, the service tech takes a look at my washer and sends pictures to Samsung and was also on the phone with Samsung only to tell me Samsung has deemed the issue as physical damage. This is infuriating because I take very good care of my washer as it cost me a lot of money. It is clearly a defect because this plastic is lifting in different areas which leads me to believe it is poor craftsmanship or materials. Samsung should stand by their products, especially when it's under WARRANTY, rather than trying to cop out deeming it physical damage which would let them escape from responsibility. I bought a Samsung clothes washer [model # WF45N5300AV] for $700 in July 2018. We weren’t happy with the performance because this machine rarely gets our clothes clean. It does not seem to use enough water to really clean the clothes and they always smelled but I didn’t feel like exchanging so we continued to use it. A week ago, it started leaking and on close inspection, I found that the rubber tub seal was torn.
I wasn’t worried too much because it was still under warranty. I contacted the customer service who sent a repairman the next day. He inspected the machine and stated that this is a “physical damage” and is not covered under warranty. I didn’t realize until then that washing machine could have not only physical damage but also has emotional and spiritual issues. After a brief argument, he suggested to call the customer service and left. I called customer service several times and finally got a human to talk to. He suggested to contact the Office of President and gave me an email ID. I contacted the president and got a callback. The lady offered to pick up the tab to the extent of part’s cost but I have to pay for the labor which came to $170+ with the taxes. Since I am stuck with the faulty defective damaged piece-of-** unit, I didn’t have any other choices but to accept the offer. It was fixed the following day.
My question to the public and Samsung is this… wouldn’t someone who spends $700 for an appliance expect some sort of reliability on an expensive unit like this? Aren’t the manufacturers taking advantage of the fact that we the customers are not going to carry the unit back to the store to get a refund? Aren’t they taking advantage of the fact that washer is something we need daily and because of that we would just swallow the cost and move on? If the rubber seal has to tear open while using the machine in the recommended way, isn’t it because it’s made of cheap materials? It’s not stones I washed in there. Because of my family’s bad experience with the unit and the fact that Samsung does not stand behind it, I will make sure I will not buy another single Samsung product in my life and will discourage my friends and family to do so. Shame on you Samsung!

In 2018 we were washing a load of towels, I smelled something immediately but my husband did not so we let the load go thru and closed the laundry door. When we opened the washer door to put the towels in the dryer and very strong vapor and smoke came out of the washer!! I immediately called a repairman and he came out and said, "That is very strange, let me run a cycle." After it was over he took off the lid and opened the door and there again was the smoke and vapors. He pulled the plug and said, "Do NOT use this machine. It will burn your house down!" Said that the rear tub and basket was broken and it was not repairable and I needed a new machine.
It was only nine years old! My machines always lasted 20 plus years and I had a family of seven, now I have been a widow for 10 years and now only two of us. I cannot get Samsung out to look at it. They say I live too far away from their repairmen. This machine could be the first of another RECALL!! No one can excuse that, I can't get anyone who is responsible that will listen to me. So my next step to keep the public safe is to call my local news station and have them get to Mr. Tim Baxter who is the CEO. I tried to email him, but they just took the information and gave it to someone who will do the same, just NOTHING! This is a PUBLIC SAFETY MATTER and I want to see that Samsung is responsible enough to look at this problem and take charge of their own problems. We shall see. TO BE CONTINUED. Turns out the base of the tub is made with hard plastic and had literally rotted resulting in the tub not catching on spinning rotation and therefore not spinning. I contacted Samsung again and they stated they would have to send a repairmen for $270 to validate the tub actuator. I offered them pictures of the rotted actuator which clearly was the issue but was told they had to have a formal inspection.
I am disabled and couldn't afford to pay for the inspection which wouldn't be covered anyway due to my warranty just expiring. I was forced to go to the laundromat spending $20 per week following a surgery of the fusion of my back. We tried it as soon as it was hooked up, the delivery drivers had already taken off, We tried to start it and it sounded like it was going to start but nothing. We tried at least 4 more times and finally got a code, C6. My husband decided to try and call the 1-800 number but the guy tried to blame my husband and actually said "do you know how to use a washer?" My husband decided that was enough and waited until Sunday where he tried to talk to someone online and everything was going fine but once he mentioned the code, the guy disappeared.
So we waited to Monday where he got a hold of a guy who barely spoke English and I know my husband was getting frustrated at which point he asked to speak to someone else and he did get another guy when he mentioned the whole situation, the Samsung guy tried to accuse my husband that he didn't know how to use a washer (my husband is 65 and I know for a fact he has operated dozens of washers.) So he finally told the Samsung guy about the code and the guy told him that is a code for a burned out motor (this is a brand new machine how the hell is the motor burned out?)
My husband asked how we can get rid of this washer because it's useless. The guy said "I am not sure what to do" then hung up. I decided to call the next day and informed Samsung that we do a lot of clothes and taking them to a Laundromat is not something I want to do, I also explained the washer needed to go and I wanted a date where someone could pick it up and all I got was" I'm not sure what to do". I asked to speak to her superior and was hung up on. Will not purchase anything from Samsung ever again. Their customer service and appliances all suck.

I purchased a Samsung washer and dryer pair about 6 years ago. For the first couple of years things seemed to be going well, the washer and dryer performed as they are expected to perform, wash, spin, dry. At the two year mark all of a sudden the washer wouldn't drain, still covered under warranty, I had a technician in. The problem stemmed from a single wire that had melted thereby disconnecting the drain signal.
A couple of years later the same problem happened again, only this time there was only my extended warranty, which I really didn't want to use or lose for a single wire so I corrected the issue myself. Again things worked well for another year when the recall for notice for exploding lids was put out. I immediately checked my machine against the lists and found it wasn't part of the recall. Some relief, I could deal with the inconvenience of a broken wire once in a while, when all of a sudden, one month after all warranties were negated, the pump casing blew to pieces, the pump worked fine. This caused third floor flooding.
Now with no machine, no warranty and no recall I used public facilities to wash my laundry for 4 months while I tried to figure out how to fix the machine or get it fixed or save for a repairman. During this time I found that the part I needed to replace was no longer available, but I could buy a new complete pump assembly for about 150.00. This part did not reinstall in place of the old pump, the casing had been reconfigured to mount somewhere else.
I made a call to Samsung completely frustrated, angry and fed up, they then told me that my machine was covered under the recall and they would pay for the repairs. At this point I am calmer and thinking they are a good company for owning responsibility for the defects. The repairman made several visits to complete the repair as the fix for my machine required not only a pump case, but a new wiring harness and hoses as well. The pump needed to be mounted somewhere else and the connecting hoses replaced as well as a new wiring harness as the old one was too short and not wired for the advertised machine capacities.
It has been six months since the repair, there is not a single load of wash that I do not have to rebalance, shift, alter, divide and spin individually as the machine will not spin even a slightly unbalanced load. This has added several hours to my washing each week (4 loads). If the machine is allowed to complete its cycle it will continue to refill with water to attempt a balance. Neither of these solutions is convenient, cost or energy saving. It is however, highly frustrating as some loads I have had to make several attempts to balance even if it is only 2 similar towels except one holds more water than the other, or just put the wet but not dripping items into the dryer for an extended, sometimes 2 hours, of time. All in all I will never buy another Samsung appliance again.

I purchased my Samsung top load in 2014 and from day one nothing but problems. Would stop spinning and code dc would appear constantly. After Samsung had recall they only offered me 250 dollars for replacement when I paid over 500 and was only year old at the time. Once they placed their support system on it the machine was never right again. Would not spin out even a single rag. The bleach area rusted and the underneath part of the lid the front springs rusted and would not hold down lid anymore. After 4 years of dealing with this junk I gave up and scraped it. Do not buy Samsung. Worst customer care I've ever seen and washer is pure junk.

For a number of years we owned a Samsung dryer and absolutely loved it, so we eventually decided to purchase a matching washing machine. Worse mistake and waste of time and money we have made in a long time. We purchased the larger capacity washer because we thought that it would be capable of washing our lighter bedding and such, like sheets, light blankets, maybe a sleeping bag. We knew when we washed the first load of towels that this was going to be far from the case. The washer wasn't even filled halfway with towels and would get the spin cycle and stop working.
After several wasted hours and days calling their customer service, we finally found a way to reset the washer balance setting allowing it to function. Keep in mind that every word that came out of their mouth was that it was our fault from the start. It had to be too full, it wasn't level etc. In our research we found hundreds and hundreds of other people posting about the same issue all over the internet. This issue repeated multiple times over the year, but we were told by both Sears and Samsung that it wasn't a warranty-worthy repair, so we lived with it. This was a minor annoyance and we had to resort to washing anything that might weigh more than an average medium pile of t-shirts in the bathtub.
Finally the washer has now stopped draining the bottom section. It will fill, run, cycle and stop at the spin cycle as soon as the water is out of the drum, but leave the base of the washer full of water, the clothing soaking wet and won't complete the spin cycle. We tried to get this in for warranty work as we were under the 1 year mark, however, Samsung drag it along again trying to blame all of it on the us (the customer) saying that we must have put something in the washer we shouldn't have, or that, again it was not level.
So, now we are just slightly outside the year mark because they spent so much time blaming us and trying to troubleshoot, that they don't want to warranty it. Go ahead and google, "Samsung washer problems"... in fact, just check out all of the other consumer affairs reports and you'll get an idea of the quality of both their washing machines and the customer service associated with it. Not one person we have spoken with has even attempted to make this right with us. Instead they are more interested in protecting their money, than their customers.
I used to have a lot of faith in Samsung. Everything I could buy had their name on it - cell phone, TV, computer monitors, but I won't be buying them again. I wrote a review back a while when we had the load unbalanced issue, and they wrote a response that made it look to everyone who read it like they wanted me to contact them and that they would handle whatever problem we were having. When I contacted I got handed only the blame and a bunch of excuses why it wasn't Samsung's fault. Thank you Samsung for wasting my money - you really got one over on my family and I. Congratulations.

Two things about this washer have been problematic. Firstly, the washer easily is out of balance even compared to an older GE top-loading HE (no agitator) washer I've previously owned. The washer tries to correct, however, invariable ends up with an error and no choice but to restart the entire cycle. This doesn't just happen with heavy loads, but anything with long fabric (dresses, towels, jeans) which can become tangled or spread across a long area. It takes several attempt of careful reorganizing to make it complete a cycle.
Secondly, the glass lid cracked with very little force. I dropped a small metal drill bit (granted, it is sharp and hardened) only 3-4 inches, fumbling it when retrieving it from a nearby shelf. While I do understand metal vs. glass could leave glass broken, rather than causing a scratch or chip, the lid completely shattered outward almost completely with it continuing to crack more and more minutes later. Ironically, the point of tempered glass as I understand it is to not produce shards, however, there are several 2-3 inch long sharp as a knife shards near the impact area.

I have to manually reset machine to spin and restart it and wait another hour or so and HOPE that they are no soaking wet. SECOND THE DRYER: This also takes an unbelievable amount of time to complete, only problem is the load comes out damp and must be redone. After an over 3 yr professional wait for Samsung to do the right thing and replace and settle on this junk set of washer and dryer, I am voicing my situation. Their own technicians have looked at my equipment, and apparently been brainwashed by the company, to admit there is "nothing wrong". My washer especially, will not properly fill with water to clean our clothes. I have to manually carry 5-6 jugs of water every time I try to wash. For an almost 70 yr old cancer survivor, brain tumor survivor and now diabetic, that is hard work for me and wears me out. I should NOT have to carry gallons of water to get my clothes clean. This is not the 1800's! They refuse to replace the equipment, and their settlement offer is so low it would not come close to replacing.
I just want clean clothes and these machines do not do that. Not enough water, and they leave residue and have ruined thousands of dollars worth of clothes, and personal items. These are CRAP, LEMON machines, and one would think that Samsung would want to do the right thing and have happy customers, but I guess our thousands that we spent on their washer, dryer, refrigerator, etc are not valued to Samsung. Shame on you Samsung and your unwillingness to admit responsibility and make a fair replacement and/or offer. SAMSUNG should not be trusted. Purchased a Samsung washer & dryer five years ago. To say the washer has been a lemon from Day One is an understatement. Within the first year, all four struts had to be replaced. Year two left us with a flooded laundry and boiler room due to the admittedly "poor design" of the pump attached to the tub. Every time the machine shook, the pump became loose and leaked. Samsung sent out a certified repairman who moved it the frame. Then we had a plate mailed to us with danger warnings all over it (because unbeknownst to us, serious injuries, including a broken jaw, were occurring when customers used the machine) with instructions to affix it to the control panel.
Also, the machine's detergent, softener and bleach dispensaries became rusted and corroded. Also, on numerous occasions, the machine would not drain the water. The final straw came when we had yet another flood in our laundry room. When we called Samsung, we learned that there was a recall. NO ONE HAD EVER CONTACTED US and they were "surprised" to hear that we were never contacted. We were told we would hear from someone in 24-48 hours. When no one called us back, we called them and were told that the reason why no one ever called us was because they did not have an authorized and certified recall repairman in our area to confirm that our machine was one of the recalls!!!
If you sell your product in my area, why don't you have someone who can service it in my area? So after three consecutive days on the phone with them, they offered us $31 for the machine!!! If I wasn't so enraged at the offer, I might have laughed my butt off! After some research, I learned that between 2011-2016, 34 Samsung washers were recalled! Absurdity at its finest. I will NEVER EVER buy another Samsung product.

In less than a year, 12/17, top part of lid broke away from bottom part of lid. Took 2 weeks before Dish in Home Service repaired it: 1/3/18. August 2018 lid again broke away (same damage as before). Was told by Dish that it would be $100 to assess the damage, even though I explained exactly what happened. I gave them the service number of the previous repair so they could look at the damage. The assessment fee did not include parts and labor for repair.
Complained to Samsung. After several emails, they offered to pay for the part only; I declined. After more emails, they offered to pay the $100 plus parts/labor. In the meantime I bought a new machine (not Samsung!), as my wife and I are in our 70s and cannot haul laundry to another location. We needed a reliable machine and could not wait for the repairman. We have asked for a refund on a pro-rata basis for the amount of time we have not been able to use the machine: with machine breaking twice in less than a year, we have had less than 2 years' use. We are waiting for an answer. When the delivery man brought our new machine, he stated that they get calls on and have to replace Samsung washers more than any other brand.

I have been reading reviews on this site and am convinced that a lemon in the midst is uncommon, but my problem has nothing to do with mechanical problems. The machine works fine. My problem may not be a problem, but it has to be corrected at some point. The washer rotates the clothes. It doesn't agitate the clothes. They wash by spinning the clothes, and that is all it does. How does a machine clean clothes by spinning? I should have gave more thought to this before buying a front loader. The problem I am most concerned with is stinking clothes. I have used good smelling detergent, a fabric softener and they still come out with a smell. I wash on a heavy duty cycle and they still smell like they were dragged out of a landfill. My wife washes/pre before putting them in the washer and they come out better, not great, but better.
I have washed on a long cycle and then again on the quick cycle, no prewash and they come out smelling a bit smelly. Like why would I have to wash them twice? We are seniors and don't roll around in the mud or grass. We are not dirty, but do get sweaty from the weather. Maybe that is it. We should not perspire, at all. I would think a washer would wash clothes to the point of smelling like they were just washed, silly me. What I think is the problem is not enough water is cycling through each wash, like spraying water on some clothes instead of soaking them. Anyone else have this problem? Does Samsung have a solution for stinky clothes? I am ready for a top loader that uses lots of water. I did save a bunch of money on water using this washer, but realized I wasn't saving any having to wash a load twice.

My Samsung front loader washing machine apparently has issues with the spider arm. When it spins it sound like a freight train is coming through our house. After reading reviews I guess I am lucky to be in my 7th year with minimal use. My sister had the same machine and it broke 2 years ago and my daughter's just recently went out. All of these Samsung washer were newer than ours so I was holding my breath. My boyfriend installed new shocks which did not help and now we are out $100. The gentleman at the parts place said he would never buy another Samsung product and neither will we. Shame on you Samsung for ripping off the consumer. STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG APPLIANCES.
Reviewed July 23, 2018
My front loading Samsung washing machine is 6 1/2 years old and according to other folks responding online to the same problem we are having... the spider arm assembly which holds the drum in place has slowly corroded since it is made of a material that is not consistent with the stainless steel interior of the washing machine and breaks down eventually. It sounded like a freight train coming through or off-balance but that is not correct, the actual drum is out of alignment and off the arm assembly. It actually causes little pieces to break off to form small pieces of hard, rock-like pebbles into the drain.
Apparently Samsung is aware of this spider arm failure but refuses to change the material of this part, replace the part at no charge or have a recall of this machine due to this failure. The only reason I chose one star above is that there is no option for zero stars. The machine looks good but will eventually ends up costing you a ton of money. Appliance repairmen don’t even want to bother replacing the arm, they just tell you to buy a new machine, preferably American made. Samsung should be ashamed of themselves. I will never buy another Samsung item.

I will never buy a Samsung washing machine or one that has that electronic panel. This one (AquaJet VRT) was not even a year old in the house we bought. I can't even do a quick cycle because it gets stuck on it, can't determine the weight inside. I have spent three hours just to restart the cycle and end up putting it on a normal cycle. It has the same issue with Rinse and Spin or just Spin. The water trickles out. For a large capacity washer, it does not seem to handle a large load. Not a reliable washer. And it had a dangerous recall as well.

When going into spin off balance - it THEN ADDS MORE WATER again- had it do it several times before I caught it!!! NOW, a couple of years down the road, it can't spin more than a few items at a time or it considers the load off balance. I don't want to pay $$ to continue with this awful machine! I purchase a Samsung Washer WF405atpasu/AA 5 years ago. It was not too bad, til yesterday when it stopped working. I called Goemans in London and they advised me to call customer service from Samsung (18007267864). Customer service from Samsung gave me the appliance service company contact number to make an appointment with the technician. N.Z Systems tech came today and to my surprise what he found was that the washer was missing the screws that keep the interface panel attached to the console. They were never installed!
The tech took pictures and his report clearly says that the screws were not installed from factory. The tech commented that the problem could appear earlier in the use, so I can considered myself lucky. I was left with a bill of 112.94 that neither Goemans, nor Samsung want to pay. Samsung said they did a thorough check and they did not have such problem before. So here I am, the first one! I will keep reviewing this product so that other customers become aware of the risk they take by buying products from this company! Bought a Samsung washer and after 9 months it stopped at the spin cycle and filled to extra large load no matter which load size I selected. After 3 days on the phone with Samsung rep and submitting the receipt for purchase from BrandsMart I was told that it was the wrong receipt. I had the delivery receipt and they wanted the cashier's receipt. I ordered the washer online and paid with credit card and did not have a cashier's receipt but I submitted the credit card proof of purchase from that date from BrandsMart. That was not good enough for them. Was told to call BrandsMart and have BrandsMart call Samsung.
On the 4th day Samsung called me to say that everything was straightened out BUT I had to submit a cashier's receipt. I was starting all over from the beginning. The end result was that I called BrandsMart and they are sending a repair person to fix under warranty. After reading all these bad reviews I don't have much confidence in getting my washer repaired. Recently purchased washer with the matching dryer 7750. Returned them. Worse washer and dryer I ever owned. Way overpriced for the quality. The washer tangles clothes to the point of twisting dress shirt sleeves into wrinkle hell. Very hard on the clothes in all cycles. Noisy. Sounds like the water is hitting the floor when it fills. Pumping is also loud. Unbalances easily even with proper install. The location of the soap dispenser is just downright irritating. The dryer needed constant babysitting to make sure clothes would dry. Clothes come out of the washer much wetter than with a front loader. Eco setting on the dryer makes for multi hour drying times. Dryer wadded up clothes and sheets into a ball and cycles need to be stopped and items released. If you’re shorter than 5’7” you may not be able to reach the bottom of the tub to pull clothes out.

Jennifer said the part had not come in yet and would be there in two days. Two days later the a different man came, but guess what? No part, they had not been there yet, no joke Sherlock! He ordered the parts and would return in two days. Two days later the part has not arrived. It would be two more days. He came. Said he had the wrong part and it would take a couple of days.
A week and a half later I called repair for Samsung. Kept me on hold twice 2 hrs. Finally I was told it was not under warranty because I had a roach infestation in machine and they would not repair. What a joke. I ask for a supervisor. Got Michael in the Dominican Republic and had problems understanding him and he just said it is not under warranty now. I ask for the name of the person in charge of Samsung. He would not reply. I found a Samsung chat center and I ask to speak to an American in the United States. She said she was in India. Like most other people, both my Samsung washer and dryer are breaking down after like a year and a half of use. The washer leaves gross black mold and mildew on the clothes after “cleaning” them, and also cannot sense temperature, so we get lukewarm water at best on the hot setting. The dryer will start with a high pitched squeal, and after about 30 seconds of running will stop squealing and shake violently. These products are NOT BUILT TO LAST and will BREAK DOWN VERY QUICKLY. DO NOT BUY or you will WASTE MONEY buying these since you’ll need a new one in two years. The warranty is only like a year except for on like one part, so I’m down $1700 when my $500 Whirlpool set lasted 12 years.

I was two loads a week and only have my husband and myself here. The was one day started making a horrible banging noise it got louder and louder so we turned off the machine. My husband removed it, took it to the garage and when he took it apart discovered the whole area from the tub to the motor completely crumbled apart. It was all in jagged pieces. Thank God we turned it off before some of these metal pieces flew through the wall of the washer.
It will cost over $400.00 to replace these pieces if they even can be repaired. I am a senior citizen and can't afford to replace my washer and dryer every 5 years. I bought this in 2012. It is lightly used as we are retired and don't use as much wash as we used to. It looks like the parts they used are recycled materials and not strong metal. This would make the product not hold up to much use. Samsung should be made responsible for this, it could cause an injury or death if those parts could have come through the wall of the washer. I have requested to speak with a manager and was put on hold for 43.57 minutes before she came back to the line to tell me that Paulo the manager is not going to speak with me and that they are now transferring me to another department. Per Seth in the Case Management Department he is a "manager" who for 16 minutes I spent both talking and on hold as he stated multiple times that he was as high as I could talk and then through the conversation he indicated that there is one supervisor above him and then as he continued to talk when I asked for a name he then state that there were multiple people.
In addition as I told him that I will not accept that I need to continue without a dryer and that at this point I want a new one delivered being ours was only 4 months old and should not have had issues in the first place, he advised that our claim is under review and there is nothing he can do. I asked to talk with someone above and was transferred to Anna "one of the supervisors" above him. In talking with Anna she did not want to hear what I had to say as she stated she was sitting next to Seth and knew everything that was going on and stated that there is nothing they are going to do.
Through the conversation I asked multiple time if what she was saying is that it is ok for us to spend $2002.09 dollars on a washer and dryer and in four months to have issues of which they will decide when they are good and ready on if they will repair it or not. AND to top this the supposed supervisor proceeded to hang up on me after another 30 minutes. This is UNACCEPTABLE!!!

Since it is within a year, they are doing a service call but they don't do service during the weekend and I was told that it would take another week or so to get it fixed once I get someone to call me on Monday to set up an appointment. Meanwhile, I have an infant that has soiled clothes on a daily basis from milk, spit up, etc.

I have one of the top load washers that can destroy itself in the spin cycle. Samsung did a recall and sent a “DISH” person that said he was not an appliance repair person, but trained only to install the stiffeners believed to hold the machine together during the spin cycle. Samsung then informed me they would give me another year warranty. Sounds good but... I am no longer suppose to use some of the features the washer has. The washer stopped working and when I call Samsung, they informed me they do not have anyone in my area (Richmond, VA, population 1,000,000+) that is “willing” to repair the washer.
When I call I get a big runaround, on hold for almost an hour one day, one person I spoke w/ told me they were in the Dominican Republic, but when I call back I could not talk w/ him again because calls are routed to different countries. Poor phone customer service, no warranty product service, their response to the washer failing during some rinse/spin cycles was to tell me to no longer use those cycles. No more Samsung for me!

I bought this machine in January 2015 because our 15 year Maytag finally died. Thinking this machine had such wonderful features, sleek look and a huge capacity, besides being the "Top of the line Front Loader" I bought it at Best Buy. From day one I noticed problems with both the washer and dryer and called Samsung. Let's just say without having to write a book they blamed me and how I was using the machine. It wasn't until this past year did I notice after doing everything they said I needed to do all my clothes came out with these spots and small holes.
I was told these past few years to only use HE soap, not to use fabric softener, not to use bleach, make sure I clean the machine often, keep the door open to avoid any smell and I can go on and on and on. They sent people out, I showed them my clothes, they all agreed something is wrong but then went back to Samsung and said nothing is wrong and we don't know why her clothes are staining. They would make appointments, confirm them and then they canceled without letting me know. One of the service people said they already came out and if I want my machine fixed I needed to pay for them to come out and then pay for parts that were ordered they got and were supposed to bring but then canceled telling Samsung nothing is wrong. I speak to Samsung and they keep setting appointments and then Samsung will cancel. I have been on the phone for literally hours waiting to speak to someone only to then be disconnected.
Something needs to get done and there should be a class action lawsuit. They are intentionally, knowing their machines are substandard but charge 2500+, want you to buy an extended warranty even though it's supposed to have a 10 year on certain things. And when that goes out or is dripping oil or whatever, they say sorry your problem, pay up or shut up. I don't have one T-shirt or jeans that don't have what looks like oil or grease stains. I am a 51 year old widow who doesn't work with grease and even if I did, I certainly wouldn't use good shirts or jeans to do it in. I'm furious, I feel so ripped off of almost 5k on a machine that is junk. Now I have to go out and buy a new washer and dryer? Hello??? Is anyone out there hearing us??? PLEASE SOMEONE HELP US!!! HA! I have SEVERAL ORDER NUMBERS... HOW MANY Should I list. I don't care if you go to SAMSUNG! I have documented EVERYTHING and EVERY conversation!

I bought Samsung washer and dryer about 3 or 4 year ago. Last year I have been noticing that my clothes especially the light colors have stained after drying it. Some would go away after rewashing but most of it the stain stayed permanently. Sometimes I blamed the kids for staining the clothes when I haven't discovered the source. Couple of days ago I bought a new mattress pad and before washing it I inspected every inch of the fabric to check for any flaws and I did not see anything. I want to wash it before using it.
After drying, I noticed a lot of spotty and long streaks of rusty stained. It really upsets me since the mattress pad was new and I haven't used it. I took a flashlight and check inside the dryer what’s causing the stains. In my surprise, I saw the heat vent (heat chambers) rusty and every time the dryer drum turns the clothes was rubbing on the rusty vent. I called Samsung to complain and the response was, it’s out of warranty and service will cause $200 to replace a cheap part that they used. My gosh. I upgraded my washer and dryer to newer technology since my old ones was so outdated but didn’t give that kind of problem. I spent thousands of dollars to have the latest technology and they put a cheap vent. The is corroding! The least that they can do is replace the vent with no charge! Samsung product are not cheap, but they used cheap parts.

Hopefully the next service call (3rd one) will replace the correct leaking hose. My problem with Samsung is apparently they do not stock these common hoses and maybe most parts in the US, but these parts have to be special ordered which takes about 2 weeks to get them. Since the first guess on the leaking hose was wrong, now I am waiting on the proper hose to replace factory defective hose...so my tenants have not had a working washer for 4 weeks. I had already spent a couple of hours on the phone trying to resolve the issue, so I decided to wait until the machine made the noise all the time. For about 3 years now, I have been slowly driven near crazy by this annoying machine. I should have known better, when it was marked down at Lowes , another $100 dollars off the price, because it was returned by a customer a few days earlier. It's a top loader. It goes off balance constantly. It has several wash selections that you may think are pretty nice but don't be fooled. Most barely cover the clothes with water, sufficiently enough to even wet the clothes, never mind that the water is NEVER hot, even if you select "hot". But it's mostly the off balance problem that is the most annoying.
Forget it if you have blankets, sheets or towels because you'll spend up to an hour hovering over the machine to try to END the never ending cycle which will continue to try and correct itself over and over again. I usually have to pause the cycle just before it spins, remove up to half the clothes, and break up the amount of them inside the washer and hope it will complete the cycle. Who has time for this?
My cheap old Maytag washer which lasted for years, was easier than this fancy so-called high tech piece of junk. The 3 major complaints are the lack of water to adequately wash clothes, the constant problem of "off balance" when about to spin, and the lack of control you have with controlling the actual water temperature. Clothes do NOT get cleaned properly. Maybe Samsung can produce a decent television but they sure miss on washing machines. You can take these "smart machines" and dump them in the deepest part of the ocean. I've had it.

I started noticing it was taking a very long time to complete a cycle, usually normal, around Christmas 2017, then it took over 3 hours to NOT complete a normal load of clothes. Called the retail outlet where we bought all of our appliances and they sent a tech out. He was told the it was getting stuck in the rinse spin cycle and kept repeating it.
He first tried resetting the washer and left me with instructions to call back if it didn't fix the problem. It didn't! He returned and got on the phone with Samsung and was told the shockers needed to be replaced, done. Washer still gets stuck in rinse spin. Called tech back and he watched it run a load of sheets with no problem. Samsung tech told the tech that I could NOT mix loads and that was the problem i.e. no jeans mixed with shorts or t shirts.
Today I washed a load of towels, 6 bath, 6 hand, 9 dish towels, got stuck in rinse spin cycle, tried spin only. Still wouldn't finish. I removed the dish towels and hand towels leaving only the bath towels, stuck again. I then added the hand towels back to the load and it finished its cycle. The upshot of this long explanation is if you don't want to weigh each load don't buy one of these machines. Wish I had my old LG back. Never had this problem with it.

Purchased back in 6/2017 and recently noticed that it's either getting stuck in spin or rinse cycle and not progressing. After contacting Samsung and attempting some troubleshooting with the getting stuck it didn't fix the issue. They told me 1/3/18 someone would call me in 2 business days to set an appointment come look at it. I received a random call on 1/7/18 from a person that said they worked with the company that was going to come out.
They had me on speaker phone and sounded like they were at home lost and confused. Multi-tasking not their strong point. So they scheduled me for 1/12/18. 1/8/18 the company calls & says they can't do 1/12/18 as they do not service my area on Fridays. It'll have to be 1/16/18 before someone can look at it. Then she tells me I need someone there to assist the tech with un-stacking the machines, as if this is something that is my responsibility. I don't have anyone that can do this and I definitely can't do this myself either.
A few hours later on 1/8/18 the machine decided to add a new issue. It now coming out of the washer from underneath somewhere and flooding my laundry room. I call the repair company back and she basically tells me there is nothing she can do to get anyone out any sooner and that I have to go 9 days without doing laundry. So, I called Samsung back requesting another repair company. They didn't call me back until 1/9/18 in the afternoon. The person I spoke with said someone will call me same day to set an appointment for 1/11/18.
I missed their call at 5pm as I was at work and called back 10 minutes later and left a VM. Their message said they are open until 6pm and no one called. I called them 4 times on 1/10/18 and get the voicemail every single time. I called Samsung 2 additional times letting them know, no one has called me and the fact that I only get the voicemail. The person I was speaking with put me on hold and got them to answer right away. They said, "They are calling you right now." I said, "No, no one is calling me right now." I ended my call with Samsung with no resolution.
I NEVER GOT A CALL from the repair company. I got home and my boyfriend says, the repair company called me for some reason to set the appointment. (I gave my cell as every point of contact and his as emergency and all my VM left had my cell, so the fact they didn't even try to call me set me off.) They say they will be out Friday 5pm-8pm and that we have to sign a waiver that if they drop my dryer and break it, it's not their fault and will not fix it. What in the world is going on here? Why as the homeowner do I have to sign some freaking waiver when it's not my fault? My 6 month old machine is out of whack and broken and the 3rd party repair company obviously doesn't give a crap about the business. Called and was promised a refund for the washer and dryer back on November 21, 2017 if I provided the receipt. So I did and they now, after 7 weeks, decided they would recant those comments and send a service tech out at their expense. Only after telling me I would have to pay for it the first time I spoke to CS. I've did everything they asked me to do, they didn't think I would have the receipt after a year I'm sure. So now they want to back out.

I've had Samsung ActiveWash Top Load washer for a year. I've noticed that it doesn't clean as well as my old washer (which was a 10 year old top load agitator kind). I thought it is just matter of learning the new technology and try out different settings. After a year, I am used to it not washing completely clean. The yellow is the new white, that's how I see it. But today I am finally convinced that the washer I have is just BAD. I tried washing 3 kids' winter jackets. One of the jacket came out with some part still dry! That is not acceptable. DO NOT PURCHASE Samsung washer!

I purchased a Samsung top load washer just 4 months ago and have been without a washer for five weeks. After 3 service calls to my house they still have not been able to solve the problem. We are limited to the company they use for their warranty and are now waiting to hear from them as to when they will be back. It is a huge inconvenience and a big expense making multiple trips to laundromats. After making multiple calls to the customer service and really getting nothing more than a ticket number for another service call, I have become frustrated. We did try going to Home Depot but it seems as though they cannot help due to the one year warranty from samsung. I find it hard to believe that no one can do anything to help. I do know that this will be the last Samsung product I will purchase.

There are THOUSANDS of people with the same problem. If anyone wants to join me and get a class action lawsuit going, email me @ **. My electric bills and the cost of my machine should be reimbursed.

NEVER have I had such irritating experiences with a clothes washer in my 53 years of living. This washer is all hype, looks, and smoke and mirrors. The cycles are ridiculously long, and it seems that there are no balance shafts in the thing. It goes unbalanced at the drop of a washcloth, and wastes more energy trying to get back to balance than it could ever save being used properly. I put a quilt in it, which it should have had NO trouble washing, yet it went unbalanced and STAYED unbalanced for 15 minutes before I corrected the way the quilt lay in the tub. Shame you almost have to babysit that damn thing to make sure it finishes the cycle. I am ready to return it, and then ask the seller to destroy it while I watch and clap with glee! Samsung ought to be investigated and fined for making such worthless products.
Updated on 01/15/2018: Not only does it get stuck in unbalanced mode, it doesn't fill properly. Every review I have read about the washers they make has been negative, and there are well over 100. I truly think this company should be investigated and stopped from making and selling washers in ANY country. I just called them and the CSR told me he was a technician. I further asked if he knew the workings of and had actually worked on a washer, then he changed his story. I requested to speak to his supervisor and he delayed me, then couldn't pull up the number for the service center. My next filing is with the BBB.

The experience dealing with Samsung has been an absolute nightmare. They keep sending inexperienced repair people and the machine continues to be broken after the 6th service call in 5 months. I am not one to ever really write reviews but I want to avoid this company ruining any other people's lives. The customer service has been absolutely horrendous and we still don't have a washing machine that works 5 months later. The best advice would be to PLEASE STAY FAR AWAY from Samsung products altogether, especially for washers & dryers. @Samsung- get your ** together and stop robbing people blind.

Bought the top load washer in Sept of 2016. From the beginning I started filing complaints with Samsung. The washer was catching clothes at the bottom where there is a metal ring. It has torn numerous items. It also does not get the clothes clean. I washed a blanket at one time, which wasn't even wet in the center after the load was done. Things come out still crusty and guck all over things!
They have escalated my complaint time after time. I've had a tech here to fix it 5 different times. He said he can't do anymore with it. I called again just before Xmas of 2017. They told me they would get back to me. So far nothing. I have spent hours and hours on the phone with them and get nowhere. Many times have just lost the connection after being on the phone forever. I think they just hang up! I have 2 Samsunģ phones, a tablet, a stove and this crappy washer. I will not be purchasing their products ever again! I also have a friend with a front load, she is also very upset with hers! Don't buy their stuff! Maybe they used to be good, but not anymore! It's been over 1 year and I'm sick of it!

I purchased the Samsung Front Loader Washing Machine VRT nearly two years ago in February of 2015. At that time, the reviews weren't that scary - now? It's all I'm reading with similar issues and some others that I haven't experienced yet. About two weeks ago, I started noticing that the machine would get stuck on the rinse/spin cycle for nearly 40 minutes. It never went to the spin cycle. I purchased this thru another company whose customer service is supposed to be good. They came out to diagnose it and figured it needed a board.
He checked the hose and adjusted it but never checked the flint trap - he said it was fine because the water was draining so it was more than likely ok. He got it up and running again but that same day, it got stuck on the rise cycle again. They placed the order for the part and were out here six days later. The second guy realized that the trap was clogged so unclogged it figuring the problem was solved. He never installed the board. They left and the problem still persisted. So called AGAIN indicating that the guy JUST LEFT without making sure the machine was fully functional. In the service dept. defense, they did everything the Samsung Rep told ME to do - check the hose and empty the lint trap.
The serv rep currently is trying to track the guy down who left to come back and finish the job. I was so upset that I called them again and said, "Who can authorize a replacement." So now that is in the works - another 24 hours at least. At least I don't have to order the same machine if I get a "yes". If I get a "no", the rep will have to come back and put in what he thinks is the problem (he has since called back) - a new pump assembly - if that's even the problem - by that point, I'd of been out of a washing machine for close to three weeks. Who has time for this??? I think everyone is frustrated by Samsung Products - the techs who try to fix them who can't who then have to call Samsung to get further direction and then the customer who spend more for what they think is better only to realize they bought a pretty piece of junk.

Last November I purchased a Samsung front load washing machine from Lowe's. About a month ago I noticed the washer making a loud knocking and whistling sound during the spin cycle. The knocking and whistling would get worse and worse as the spin cycle went on and then the washer will ROAR like a jet engine about to take off. I got my warranty book out and called Samsung. I took the phone into the room with the washer and let the customer service person hear it. He told me that it sounds like the washer needs replaced. He ordered a service call for the following week. Immediately after I got off the phone with him, the phone rang and Samsung was on the caller id. I answered and there was a woman telling me she needed to set up my washer appointment. I told her that had just been done. She finally confessed that she wasn't Samsung but the local repair shop.
I confirmed the appointment with her for the same day and time as the original appointment. The day of the appointment the repair agent was a no show. I called Samsung customer service again. They gave me a phone number to a second repair outfit to call and make an appointment. I called and was told they would put me on a list and could not tell me when someone could come out to fix my washer but it should be within a couple of days. By the end of that same week I did not hear from the repair shop so I called them up. They told me they had been meaning to call me but they just couldn't come out because they had so many call offs due to the holidays and people being sick. I was sitting for four days waiting for a call back and they never had any intention of calling me back. I called Samsung customer service back. They then gave the third and final phone number they have for a repair agent in my area.
I called this person and he told me that he is a one-man shop and that he was busy until at least the next week. He told me he would try to get me in sooner if he could. A couple of days later he calls and leaves a voicemail telling me that he is going to order a part for my washer and come out in two weeks to install it. I called him up and asked him how he knew which part to order as he had never come out and checked for error codes on the washer, listened to the problem, or verified the issue. He told me he was pretty sure what the issue is. I told him I'm not comfortable with him ordering a part for my washer without checking it out first to see what the issue is. I filed a complaint with the Attorney General in my state. They sent the complaint to Samsung. A very nasty sounding woman named Bianca called my house at 7:00 p.m. ET and left a voicemail telling me to call them.
I called them back and their phone system said they close at 6:00 p.m. The next day I called the phone number and extension Bianca left for me from 9:00 a.m. until they closed at 6:00 p.m. Each time their system would go straight to voicemail and ask me to leave a message. Then it would tell me the mailbox was full and hang up. This is the Office of the President that I was calling and this is the level of customer service they provide. Four days ago I called the Attorney General's office back and told them that Samsung's President's Office's phones are hanging up on consumers. The AG Office worker told me in so many words that Samsung does not have enough trained technicians to work on and repair the new appliances that all have computer chips. She sent a 2nd complaint. Bianca called back a second time. That was two days ago. This time when I called back I was able to leave a voicemail.
As of this writing she still has not called back. It looks like I'm going to have to look for a lawyer. I'm writing this complaint to warn other consumers about this company, their junk products, and their horrific lack of customer support or care. Once you buy a Samsung product you are left high and dry WHEN (not if) it breaks down. Do yourself a favor and look for American made products. I will only buy American appliances from now on. I have a Samsung phone and TV and guess what? They both broke also. Their products look very sophisticated, modern, and high tech. Under the shell of these products is pure junk. They do not stand behind their warranty and getting the government to actually do something is a shot in the dark. While researching all of this I found articles about top loading Samsung washers exploding, Samsung dryers exploding, and Samsung cell phones catching on fire.
Houston, I think we have a problem here and it's name is Samsung. I had a Kenmore washer for over 20 years before I bought this Samsung junk washer that has not lasted one year. If you're reading this you're probably like me and finding yourself with a brand new broken down piece of Samsung junk. Tell your family and friends to beware of this company. They prey on the public, take our money, and sell us garbage. Even though we have a written warranty from them they refuse to honor it. It may cost you a little more to buy American and the products may not look that fancy but at least they WORK and you can depend on the company to stand behind their products.

Bought the set brand new, for the price mind you I'm very disappointed. Most would think, "Oh she's just a complainer", not the case. Every time something has been wrong the service tech comes out and confirms something is wrong with the units. The only reason I'm able to get new units because I get service confirmation something is wrong and I'm within my 30 days of returning it, so they have to exchange it. I can't go with another brand because my dryer is past the 30 days and on my second seems to be fine. I run a business who has time to make this stuff up, I don't ask for anything extra just for it to be replaced and it fricking work right for that kind of money. Conn's where I bought it have been great through the process when you're nice and don't blame them. It's not their fault. It's Samsung's fault.
So I will just keep going through washer after washer until I get one that works right. My first one sounded like something clunking around on the inside of the drum was very loud. Second washer the water drain was cracked when they installed in water everywhere, because it is attached to the unit. Could not be fixed. Had to exchange. Third washer they scratched on the side and pushed in the front panel when installing. I kept it and took a little refund discount on it, a week later when I was washing the bottom washer when draining was draining up into the small washer, then when I drained the top washer it drained into the bottom washer, confirmed it was not our drain. It was the drain pump backing up water into the unit instead of out. Fourth washer a week later I hear the clunking noise on the inside of the drum again like something, a piece or part has come loose and clunking around in there.
Fifth washer. Noticed when got it that when I first turned it on that when started up to put water in it's making a urrrrrr motor noise kinda loud, over a week notice the noise has gotten louder and my clothes are not coming clean. They smell. 2nd week hear the clunking noise in the drum again, and now the urrrrr noise is even louder. The pros of having the other washers I could see what it should be and not should be doing. Not all the machines had the clunking drum noise and it wasn't right away. It was after use for about a week, the other problems were not on the other washers and the noise was not on the other washers so definitely something wrong with this model. My first dryer was kinda yellow inside by the lint trap and vent light for overheating kept coming on, about a week in it got darker and darker and started having burning smell. Got it replaced. The vent light never came on and no burnt color in dryer or smell.
Dryer in time will get the discolor but not within the first year at least and the vent light staying on making it seem like it was my vents and it was not. So I'm writing this on here for people to watch out for these problems, because complaining to Samsung gets you nowhere and they deny any problems of course. So people need to report these such issues, because I have a feeling they are going to have another washer recall on their hands like last year's. I'm sad because I switch my all my appliances to Samsung. Spend $9000, All my 5 TVs & 4 cell phones are Samsung and love them. They have really disappointed me and now regret not keeping my LG appliances only 3 years old. I'm thinking their very few good reviews are their own not real customer reviews.

Less than 2 years ago, I purchased a matching Samsung Activewash Top Load Washer and Dryer. Earlier this year, I noticed dirt and muck in the bottom of our washer after running a cycle. I figured it was time to run a self clean and did so. The self clean made things worse. After running another self clean and finding that it did not help, I ran a load of towels through the wash and moved on. I have noticed that this is a problem that happens from time to time. This past weekend, after running a load of laundry, I noticed that our clothes were caked in dirt. I thought maybe we had a left paper in one of our pockets and figured it had gotten destroyed in the wash and moved on.
Last night, I ran a load of towels and noticed the same dirt caked on our towels. I decided to do a Google search for dirt at the bottom of washer after cycle and was horrified to see multiple other complaints about MOLD and MILDEW in Samsung Washers. This washer has been nothing but problems and Samsung is clearly not taking it seriously as complaints have been occurring for some time. I have a Samsung WA400 washer purchased in 2014, and I HATE IT. What good does it do to have a washer with a large drum when it does not fill up enough to cover the laundry in it. I've looked online and gone through the washer's user manual. The manual says is if the drum doesn't seem to be filling enough, to check the incoming spigots to ensure they are fully open. Unfortunately, this is not the problem. Today I washed some cat beds that did not even fill up the drum all the way to the top. However, when the cycle was finished and I opened the washer lid, the cat bed on the top was only wet around the edges--the bed part in the center was still dry.
My sister has a Samsung washer in this same line, and she has the same problem with hers. I understand this is supposed to be an energy saving feature, but there should be an easy way to turn the feature off when you have more than just a few pieces of laundry in the drum. What good is a 10-year warranty when the product is a lemon? Shame on you, Samsung! I will never buy another one of their appliances again and will advise others not to every chance I get!

Samsung washer and dryer are simply garbage. Spider arm rot and to fix the problem until the next assembly rots you need to disassemble the washer. It is about a 3-4 your job. The part is around 170.00 here in Canada. So to complete the repair is around 7 hours plus parts that will include a new outer tub gasket and possibly a end bearing and if that is the case you cannot just replace the bearing you would be required to purchase the bearing and half of the tub. Not sure what that would cost but either way if needed you would be better off to toss the machine and start with a new product that is not Samsung.
The dryer is a whole other issue. It takes forever to dry clothes and often does not complete the drying cycle which requires you to constantly need spot check on the dryer to see if it has stopped. I in a previous life was an applicant service technician. In the days when things were built to last. Trust me simple is better. All the fancy features are just more things to go wrong. There needs to be some responsibility on the part of the manufacturer to build quality. Or we as consumers need to ensure the word gets out about these overpriced money gobblers.

Sunday night I get call from Samsung saying my receipt was approved and warranty valid and service tech will contact me in morning. Morning comes I get email from service tech saying ticket open. I call them. they tell me that they received what they needed from Samsung but still cannot set up service appointment because “supervisor” has to “approve the bill of sale” receipt. The same receipt I sent them a week ago three times. The same receipt I sent Samsung 4 times and they approved. It’s been a week and I still don’t even have an appointment.
